Transcript
- 0:08Speaker 1: Hi there. Welcome back to Vanity Fair. My name is
- 0:10Speaker 1: Chris Fair, where I recap pop culture, entertainment, television shows, docuseries,
- 0:15Speaker 1: that kind of thing. I talk about it because, you know,
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm like an only child. Maybe you need someone to
- 0:20Speaker 1: talk about it. And maybe like, you know, you thought
- 0:22Speaker 1: of weird things at the same time I did. And
- 0:25Speaker 1: there's like small details I'm going to bring up that
- 0:27Speaker 1: you're into. And that's You know what we do here, honey.
- 0:30Speaker 1: You're either like listening, God bless, Vanity Fair, RSS podcast,
- 0:34Speaker 1: please give me, I would assume some sort of really
- 0:38Speaker 1: awesome comment wherever you listen to podcasts about, I don't know,
- 0:43Speaker 1: like something I said or how you enjoy it or
- 0:45Speaker 1: I don't know, just like I'm bored or do you?
- 0:48Speaker 1: At the same time, you can also see the visuals.
- 0:50Speaker 1: They exist on YouTube. My name is Chris Farah. You
- 0:52Speaker 1: can just like search it. At the same time, if
- 0:54Speaker 1: you want to give me $ 5, you can. It's patreon.com
- 0:57Speaker 1: slash Chris Farah. Let's talk about it. I have already
- 1:00Speaker 1: given you my part one of what I'm talking about today.
- 1:03Speaker 1: This is part two of 90 Day Fiance, The Other Way,
- 1:06Speaker 1: season eight, episode three. No shoes, no trust, big problems.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Stupid title. Okay, so we're going to pick up on
- 1:13Speaker 1: Niles and Matilda, honey. So Matilda wakes up. It's breakfast.
- 1:19Speaker 1: She sits at her breakfast nook table, honey. She calls
- 1:23Speaker 1: a taxi. She's like, take me to Kumasi. because I
- 1:26Speaker 1: have to drive over there and it's very fucking frustrating.
- 1:28Speaker 1: And I need to get there in one piece. I
- 1:31Speaker 1: need to be calm, cool, collected for my man. I
- 1:35Speaker 1: need to be in a good frame of mind and
- 1:38Speaker 1: that's what's happening. And so she's a woman that has
- 1:42Speaker 1: decided to make this choice and she's doing it. And
- 1:44Speaker 1: I'm happy for her because she should be in a
- 1:47Speaker 1: good mood and he assume wouldn't would want that for her.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Because Niles does one thing, which is tailor what he's
- 1:56Speaker 1: going to do or say to make sure Matilda stays
- 1:58Speaker 1: in a good mood. And I feel like so she
- 2:00Speaker 1: knows that about her. She has a certain power. Now,
- 2:04Speaker 1: at the same time, he's on a whole ass plane
- 2:06Speaker 1: and he's waiting for his squishy mommy. He's really into squishy,
- 2:11Speaker 1: squishing her face. He's like, and maybe a texture thing.
- 2:15Speaker 1: She has great cheeks. He's just like, I love want
- 2:20Speaker 1: to eat you. Like he treats Matilda's face and cheeks
- 2:24Speaker 1: like how I treat my niece and nephews. Like if
- 2:28Speaker 1: I could, if it'd be okay, I would just like
- 2:31Speaker 1: gnaw and kiss their cheeky poos all day long and
- 2:36Speaker 1: like chew on them if I could, but just smush
- 2:39Speaker 1: them for sure. And just hug and smush them all
- 2:41Speaker 1: night long. Like, and that's what he gets to do with,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know, like not his niece or nephew, it's Matilda,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you know, it's what he's into. So She is in
- 2:51Speaker 1: the car, taxi getting there. She's pissed off, putting on
- 2:54Speaker 1: lip gloss. Honey, she's prepping to just like leave this
- 2:57Speaker 1: life behind and move to America with her husband, which
- 3:00Speaker 1: is what she thinks is going to happen. She gets mad.
- 3:05Speaker 1: to the airport. She sees him. He comes through and
- 3:07Speaker 1: she's overjoyed. And he is so happy to see her.
- 3:10Speaker 1: They run, they hug. She says he looks even more handsome.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And dare I say, he does. It looks like he's
- 3:17Speaker 1: been lifting. He looks like he has some like muscle tone,
- 3:19Speaker 1: his biceps. And you know, I like arms. One thing
- 3:23Speaker 1: you know about Chris Farah, she liked them arms. Chris
- 3:25Speaker 1: Farah likes arms, shoulders, hands, Popeye muscles. I think it's
- 3:30Speaker 1: pretty obvious. He looks like he's been lifting. So I
- 3:34Speaker 1: was really happy for him. You know, I like to
- 3:37Speaker 1: talk about men's bodies and I talk about women's bodies.
- 3:39Speaker 1: That's the kind of person I am. Comment good or bad.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I usually don't really comment usually when it's bad. I
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't think I do. But I will comment when it's good.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And I'll fetishize men. Okay, so he does what he
- 3:52Speaker 1: wants to do in public at the airport. Just squishes
- 3:55Speaker 1: the fuck out of her cheeks. And she's like, hey,
- 4:00Speaker 1: wait till we're home. Private. He's like, okay. Now, when
- 4:05Speaker 1: he does this and I took a picture, I realized, oh,
- 4:08Speaker 1: where's my picture? Give me one second because I know
- 4:15Speaker 1: I have it and I'm going to be so mad.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Got it. Okay. Okay. One point, of course, he is
- 4:32Speaker 1: squishing her face in real time at the airport. And
- 4:34Speaker 1: what I noticed is he has the best, longest nail
- 4:39Speaker 1: beds I've ever seen. Look at them nail beds. They
- 4:43Speaker 1: are pristine. I mean, they are so wide. They're like billboards.
- 4:48Speaker 1: The man has billboards for nail beds. He is a
- 4:51Speaker 1: hand model. I don't know if there are male hand models.
- 4:59Speaker 1: We're in the age of like gender unspecific beauty, you know,
- 5:04Speaker 1: like he could definitely rock black nails, you know, like
- 5:08Speaker 1: in the sense of if there's like goth male, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 1: nail polishes that would need a hand as opposed to
- 5:17Speaker 1: like hot pink, maybe there are hot pink male hand
- 5:20Speaker 1: model jobs. And I would want that for him. You
- 5:24Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? I feel like if a guy
- 5:27Speaker 1: is wearing nail polish and Nine times out of 10,
- 5:30Speaker 1: it's black nail polish or chipped pink nail polish because
- 5:36Speaker 1: their daughter decided to like do it for them yesterday.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And they use that like non-toxic stuff that just peels
- 5:44Speaker 1: off anyway. You know, I'm talking about Ella, Ella and May. Okay.
- 5:48Speaker 1: So she says, you know, he's like, okay, well, so
- 5:55Speaker 1: I'm here. God bless. I've squished the fuck out of
- 5:57Speaker 1: your face. And I have Obviously, just got a fresh mani-pedi.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And I talked to Mr. Ark, my dad, and he
- 6:06Speaker 1: wants us to go to his house. And she's like, no.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And she's like, well, we can stop by, but then
- 6:10Speaker 1: we're going to my apartment. He's like, I'm sorry, what?
- 6:12Speaker 1: She's like, then we're going to go to my apartment
- 6:14Speaker 1: and be alone because we want privacy. And he's like, you're,
- 6:17Speaker 1: it's weird. It's like you said apartment. It's like, that'd
- 6:22Speaker 1: be like a place that like you would have to
- 6:24Speaker 1: pay to live. And she's like, yep. What are you
- 6:30Speaker 1: going to say? He's like, we'll talk about this later.
- 6:33Speaker 1: But the later happens mere moments later in the car.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And we start to have this conversation where he says,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you know, Matilda, he's going to call Matt, which is,
- 6:44Speaker 1: you know, his own thing. Matt mismanaged her money. And
- 6:49Speaker 1: about two months ago, she said that she was going
- 6:51Speaker 1: to be out on the streets. And so he sent
- 6:53Speaker 1: her money. And it's like a convoluted story because then
- 6:56Speaker 1: she's like, don't say that. What I did do is
- 6:58Speaker 1: just tell you I was going to be out on
- 6:59Speaker 1: the streets, which is true. And you thought, well, I'm
- 7:02Speaker 1: not going to give you money for you to live
- 7:04Speaker 1: by yourself, but I'll give you some extra money and
- 7:07Speaker 1: you deal with your own life by moving back in
- 7:10Speaker 1: with your parents. But she didn't want to do that.
- 7:12Speaker 1: So she said that she probably needed more money and
- 7:14Speaker 1: then took the money he could give her and then
- 7:15Speaker 1: just got a place that he didn't know she could
- 7:18Speaker 1: or something like that. It's like he gave her money
- 7:22Speaker 1: that he thought was just being used for her life.
- 7:24Speaker 1: And then when he realized that she had used it
- 7:29Speaker 1: for an apartment and didn't tell him she was getting
- 7:31Speaker 1: an apartment, he got mad. And it's because she felt
- 7:37Speaker 1: like was manipulating him for more money. But in her mind,
- 7:41Speaker 1: she thought you should be giving me money anyway. Because
- 7:45Speaker 1: in my culture, the man takes care of the woman.
- 7:48Speaker 1: The husband takes care of the wife. I am here.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You're not here. You said you would be here. And
- 7:55Speaker 1: you have to understand, day in and day out, I
- 8:00Speaker 1: live underneath the judgmental gaze of my parents, the elders
- 8:08Speaker 1: of the town and the village, who all know me
- 8:12Speaker 1: to be married and to an American. And I can't
- 8:17Speaker 1: be shamed by then burdening them with like me staying
- 8:23Speaker 1: with them when that should be on you to take
- 8:27Speaker 1: care of me because you know, money can be stretched
- 8:31Speaker 1: to whatever it is. Like, that's what it feels like
- 8:33Speaker 1: she's saying to him. And he's like, okay, but I
- 8:37Speaker 1: had given explicit instructions for you to move in with
- 8:41Speaker 1: your mom and And I kind of want to be like, oh,
- 8:48Speaker 1: do you think that you can control this woman? This woman?
- 8:53Speaker 1: Look at this. What do you think you can do? Niles,
- 8:56Speaker 1: look at her, babe. I know. Let's just take some moments,
- 9:01Speaker 1: some cognitive behavioral therapy, because it feels like you have
- 9:04Speaker 1: a belief that's not quite right. Let's examine that belief.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Is that true? Because he does say some absolutely contradictory,
- 9:17Speaker 1: you know, like hypocritical things in the next few moments
- 9:22Speaker 1: where you're like, Niles, come on. We're going to replay
- 9:24Speaker 1: this tape, honey, right at the reunion. You're going to
- 9:26Speaker 1: hear yourself just sound like a whole ass crazy person
- 9:29Speaker 1: because you do try and pinpoint and like put her
- 9:32Speaker 1: feetsies to the fire for things that you have done
- 9:36Speaker 1: and are about to do, about to do. So, again,
- 9:45Speaker 1: she is like, you disgrace me by asking me to
- 9:51Speaker 1: go to my parents or not giving me the small
- 9:55Speaker 1: amount of money that I asked for or the money
- 9:59Speaker 1: that I asked for because you haven't given me the
- 10:03Speaker 1: American citizenship in the time you did. So it's like,
- 10:07Speaker 1: how dare you not give me either thing? You owe
- 10:11Speaker 1: me this. It's a disgrace to not give me any
- 10:14Speaker 1: of it. That's what I think she's coming from. He's like, well, Matt,
- 10:18Speaker 1: you didn't tell me what was going on. And that's
- 10:21Speaker 1: a problem. You cannot keep from me lies about where
- 10:28Speaker 1: you are going to live or where I'm going to
- 10:29Speaker 1: live or what's happening. You have to be honest with me,
- 10:32Speaker 1: no matter what you think I'm going to say. And
- 10:35Speaker 1: we're looking at Niles. We're hearing what he's saying and
- 10:37Speaker 1: being like, girl, boo, babe, pet. Come on. Get the
- 10:48Speaker 1: mirror out. Look at it. That's you. That's what you do.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You are literally not telling her that you are about
- 11:00Speaker 1: to tell her, which now you can't tell her, that
- 11:06Speaker 1: you are going to live here now. And that she,
- 11:09Speaker 1: of course, is going to continue to live here instead
- 11:13Speaker 1: of where she thinks she's going to live. Because this
- 11:17Speaker 1: whole time she thinks she's going to live in America
- 11:19Speaker 1: and you have been what? Lying to her. You've been
- 11:22Speaker 1: knowing she's not going to live in America and you
- 11:25Speaker 1: haven't told her that. You've been waiting to surprise her.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Surprise her with a surprise. Surprise. I'm here. You're not
- 11:36Speaker 1: coming to America. I made a decision without you. And
- 11:43Speaker 1: it's almost like Maddie knows that. And it's like, I
- 11:48Speaker 1: don't know, production reached out or something where she low-key
- 11:50Speaker 1: is like, Well, Niles, I have a surprise for you.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Surprise for a surprise, right? You have a surprise for me?
- 11:59Speaker 1: What husband wouldn't appreciate a surprise from his wife? You know,
- 12:04Speaker 1: it's like a very interesting back and forth and like
- 12:07Speaker 1: conversation with the word surprise where I'm like, I don't,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I don't, this is weird. She surely seems like maybe
- 12:17Speaker 1: happy to see him at the airport physically, but pissed. Hangry. Angry.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Not hangry. I'm hangry. She's just angry. She's eating in
- 12:31Speaker 1: the first scene, so she's fine. Yeah, he's just like,
- 12:36Speaker 1: we must be honest about big things in life. Pot
- 12:47Speaker 1: kettle black. Pot kettle black.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Okay,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I won't do it. But, you know, it's hard when
- 13:06Speaker 1: you like know words are going to come back to
- 13:08Speaker 1: haunt you. And I wonder if in that moment, I
- 13:13Speaker 1: wonder if any part of his very smart, very astute brain,
- 13:17Speaker 1: you know, like, I don't want to put too much like,
- 13:20Speaker 1: you know, like, stereotype on the tism, but some tism
- 13:27Speaker 1: peeps are really good at making connections and callbacks and patterns, right? Patterns, right?
- 13:33Speaker 1: And I'm just saying the patterns of the words that
- 13:37Speaker 1: he's saying to her of what she shouldn't do and
- 13:41Speaker 1: how she should be honest about big things in life,
- 13:44Speaker 1: like where she's living. I wonder if the words sound
- 13:49Speaker 1: familiar from The past patterns in which he's said them
- 13:53Speaker 1: calling back to him. And if he's like, that sounds
- 13:57Speaker 1: familiar to when I said it to the producers of
- 14:00Speaker 1: what I was going to be doing, which is lying
- 14:01Speaker 1: and not being honest about where we're going to live.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I just want to know if he, in real time,
- 14:07Speaker 1: was like, oh, shit. Oh, Sean's going to fucking bring
- 14:12Speaker 1: that up in a clip package. I can see it.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I can feel it coming in the air tonight. I
- 14:18Speaker 1: won't sing it again because I feel like I've sung
- 14:19Speaker 1: 14 times on this thing. You're like, oh, my God.
- 14:22Speaker 1: That's why you talk about the tism, Chris. Like you
- 14:23Speaker 1: don't know a goddamn callback. Like you won't do a pattern.
- 14:25Speaker 1: You won't sing every time. Like, you know, you say
- 14:27Speaker 1: three words that's already exist in some sort of song
- 14:29Speaker 1: that like, you know, brings a lyric to you and
- 14:31Speaker 1: a melody and you have to sing it. Yes. Okay.
- 14:33Speaker 1: So this is what's happening. We're like, Ooh, it doesn't
- 14:35Speaker 1: sound good. We, he, she, obviously they're on the way
- 14:37Speaker 1: to Mr. Ark and then we're going to go see
- 14:39Speaker 1: her a place and she seems upset and he doesn't
- 14:43Speaker 1: get why. And it does seem like the, it seems
- 14:47Speaker 1: interesting because there's two things at play. How rich is
- 14:53Speaker 1: Niles in Matilda's eyes? And is that real? And doesn't
- 14:57Speaker 1: Matilda understand what Niles can, you know, like do and
- 15:01Speaker 1: make for her? And, and also is she just like,
- 15:04Speaker 1: get me to America and I will pick up, you know,
- 15:08Speaker 1: the bacon making as well. I can do better bacon
- 15:15Speaker 1: making there. It was weird that I said bacon-makin', and
- 15:20Speaker 1: I feel like I meant bring home the bacon, which
- 15:25Speaker 1: is weird because if you bring home bacon, then you
- 15:27Speaker 1: assume that if you're going to actually cook the bacon,
- 15:30Speaker 1: someone else would be making that bacon. It would be
- 15:33Speaker 1: not the person that brought it home. I mean, that's
- 15:35Speaker 1: just traditional. I was only last week old when I
- 15:40Speaker 1: heard the term bread loser. Like if someone is the breadwinner,
- 15:49Speaker 1: Someone's the bread loser in a relationship if one is
- 15:54Speaker 1: a working person and one isn't, which I thought was funny.
- 15:59Speaker 1: How come there's so much like food stuff? A bacon, anyway.
- 16:02Speaker 1: All right, yum. Okay, it's like if there are some eggs,
- 16:06Speaker 1: I have a full breakfast sandwich. Okay, we'll see what happens.
- 16:11Speaker 1: And it doesn't look promising, but we don't know. And
- 16:13Speaker 1: I don't feel like it's in the cards for Niles
- 16:21Speaker 1: and Matilda to stay in Ghana. Like I think that
- 16:25Speaker 1: she's going to make it to America. I need to
- 16:33Speaker 1: know a little more of why it hasn't happened because
- 16:35Speaker 1: I said this before, we've touched on it because God
- 16:38Speaker 1: bless Niles has been open with the fact that it's
- 16:40Speaker 1: hard for him to, you know, maybe get all the administrative,
- 16:43Speaker 1: like executive functioning stuff done. And like, you know, he's
- 16:45Speaker 1: been offered help before to kind of like get, just
- 16:50Speaker 1: paperwork fucking done, right, for this process. I still need
- 16:53Speaker 1: to know if the holdup is monetary or paperwork or
- 16:57Speaker 1: a combination of both and what can be done. Okay,
- 17:04Speaker 1: so my babes, we are going to move on to
- 17:09Speaker 1: John and Allie. This is messy as F. Lots of umbrellas, honey, outdoors,
- 17:15Speaker 1: no rain, Singapore. There are, you know, Just a lot
- 17:20Speaker 1: of people taking care of their skin. She is laying
- 17:24Speaker 1: in bed and he's like, do you want warm water?
- 17:27Speaker 1: Not white coffee like I earlier described in part one,
- 17:32Speaker 1: which is a Lebanese after dinner drink with orange blossom
- 17:37Speaker 1: or coffee. She's pregnant. She says warm water. I'm like,
- 17:39Speaker 1: oh my God. I feel like anytime someone and I
- 17:42Speaker 1: get it, it's like I start my day with warm
- 17:44Speaker 1: water and lemon. I'm like, it's great. Oh, cool. while
- 17:49Speaker 1: you wake up at 5 a.m. That's crazy. He's like,
- 17:53Speaker 1: we had pregnancy sex. It's sort of like a geometric, sorry,
- 18:00Speaker 1: I'll have to say this, geometrical, geometry there, geometry problem.
- 18:10Speaker 1: And I'm also sort of like, You shouldn't be a problem.
- 18:17Speaker 1: It should just be you being as gentle as fuck,
- 18:20Speaker 1: somehow making her happy. But he didn't make her happy
- 18:28Speaker 1: because she's pregnant and he's 50 and he should know
- 18:33Speaker 1: how to lay it down. And she complains. She says
- 18:37Speaker 1: he didn't warm her up, which means he tried to
- 18:40Speaker 1: raw dog. her pregnant without like doing any foreplay, which
- 18:45Speaker 1: is maniacal. I mean, like that is blocked. That is like,
- 18:52Speaker 1: that's not it. That alone, I was like, did you
- 18:55Speaker 1: talk to Megan about that? Are you like, Megan, he's
- 18:57Speaker 1: the most selfish lover. Megan's like, I'll talk to him
- 19:02Speaker 1: about it. Bring him prawning. And that's what happens. So
- 19:06Speaker 1: they're going prawning And that is like a farmed prawning experience.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Prawning to me, it's like lobsters. I'm not a big
- 19:17Speaker 1: fish person. Every time I see a fish, I make
- 19:19Speaker 1: this face. It's the same face Allie makes when she
- 19:22Speaker 1: sees a prawn. They're ugly. Lobsters are ugly. Crabs are ugly.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I mean, these are like hideous sea creatures slash aliens
- 19:31Speaker 1: that people are like, yum. Can't wait to put that
- 19:33Speaker 1: in my mouth by breaking its whole skeleton and then
- 19:36Speaker 1: slurping its whatever is insides. Oh, anyway, God bless. So
- 19:41Speaker 1: she's like, yeah, we're going to go pruning. And we're like, okay, girl,
- 19:43Speaker 1: you go a lot? Like, is that your thing in Singapore?
- 19:45Speaker 1: You guys do that? She's like, I've been waiting to
- 19:47Speaker 1: go with him. I'm like, okay, is that weird? It's
- 19:48Speaker 1: like ax throwing. She's like, and my friend Megan. I'm like, okay,
- 19:51Speaker 1: are you guys sitting on a boat? But she's not that.
- 19:53Speaker 1: She gets there. She's only too happy to be like,
- 19:56Speaker 1: see that sign? No vaping. You stupid asshole. And I
- 20:03Speaker 1: think it is kept in for us to be like,
- 20:06Speaker 1: this bitch will not drop it. And the other thing is,
- 20:09Speaker 1: she's like, it's just annoying to me again, she kept saying,
- 20:11Speaker 1: because you lied to me. But it's like, why make
- 20:15Speaker 1: him stop vaping in the land in which he fucking can,
- 20:20Speaker 1: if you know he can't even vape the minute he
- 20:22Speaker 1: gets here anyway? Just let him fucking vape then there.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Because you're right, he can't vape here. He's going to
- 20:28Speaker 1: get fined $ 1 billion or whatever the fuck it is.
- 20:31Speaker 1: So just let him live where he can live She's
- 20:35Speaker 1: annoying to me, but he's even worse. So I'm definitely
- 20:37Speaker 1: on the ex-wife side. So she's like, I don't know
- 20:42Speaker 1: why I brought you here. It's not a really feminine activity. Oh, okay.
- 20:47Speaker 1: She's like scared as he baits it. I'm like, okay,
- 20:49Speaker 1: I don't like fish either, but I don't need to
- 20:50Speaker 1: see like, what? No. What is this? You brought him here.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Didn't you look at the website? I wouldn't bring someone here,
- 21:00Speaker 1: but I know I don't like the smell of fish
- 21:02Speaker 1: or just watch them, you know, like wet finger push
- 21:05Speaker 1: a hook through a live, small animal to bait it
- 21:10Speaker 1: for this other animal to eat and then get hooked.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I mean, you know, just think about, I mean, I
- 21:14Speaker 1: wouldn't do it, but I'm assuming this bitch knows what
- 21:16Speaker 1: fishing is. All right. So Megan comes and when Megan
- 21:22Speaker 1: gets there too, you really are reminded of how young
- 21:25Speaker 1: both these girls are. They're young and it's in relationship
- 21:29Speaker 1: to him. He's old. He looks old because he is old.
- 21:34Speaker 1: And these girls are what? Young. And in comparison, look
- 21:37Speaker 1: even younger. The juxtaposition of him and those big ass,
- 21:41Speaker 1: thick ass glasses with his old ass, weathery ass skin
- 21:44Speaker 1: and the like wrinkly ass, freckly ass arms. And then
- 21:48Speaker 1: these just dewy faced, look like schoolgirls. I mean, graduate schoolgirls.
- 22:02Speaker 1: getting their master's, honey, learning about feminist theory somewhere. I mean,
- 22:06Speaker 1: I don't know. It's gross. It's a G-R-O-S-S. Okay, so
- 22:15Speaker 1: Megan comes in, balls of steel, guns blazing, coming in hot, honey,
- 22:23Speaker 1: like how it's been in Los Angeles recently. Hot. Hot
- 22:27Speaker 1: as fuck. She is like, has a whole agenda going.
- 22:32Speaker 1: She has come in like with all of the intention
- 22:38Speaker 1: of like a prosecutor who has a client that she
- 22:45Speaker 1: believes in that has been wronged. And this client has
- 22:51Speaker 1: been I mean, dodge left and right when they've asked
- 22:56Speaker 1: for answers or any sort of action. And it's like
- 23:00Speaker 1: Megan's entire calling in life to be like, I'm going
- 23:04Speaker 1: to get John to fucking fess the goddamn up. I'm
- 23:09Speaker 1: Megan slash father to Johnny Pop or Johnny Bean. They
- 23:14Speaker 1: keep calling this baby something. Johnny Pop? I don't know. Okay,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm like, I just... There's obviously categories for me in
- 23:27Speaker 1: the couples of 90 day. I can either absolutely love you.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I can love to hate you. I can think you're
- 23:35Speaker 1: fake or I can think you're weird or gross. You
- 23:38Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? There's just so many things. And
- 23:39Speaker 1: there's probably even more. There's nuanced ones of this. So
- 23:45Speaker 1: right now, Jesse and Vittorio are fake, right? The couple
- 23:51Speaker 1: I was like, who do I really like? Oh my God,
- 23:54Speaker 1: is there one? You know, it's not Niles and Matilda,
- 23:59Speaker 1: though they're not bad. But it's like, I kind of
- 24:03Speaker 1: think like to love to hate to watch right now
- 24:06Speaker 1: is probably Andy, Andy and Nigel. But the ones that
- 24:10Speaker 1: I like think are gross, Allie and John. And it's
- 24:17Speaker 1: interesting because when I go to Reddit, and you know
- 24:20Speaker 1: I do, People's opinions are sometimes the same as mine
- 24:25Speaker 1: and sometimes so vastly different. There are people who are like,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I like Allie. And I'm like, I don't, I feel
- 24:34Speaker 1: like she's really immature and stuff like that. And people
- 24:37Speaker 1: are hating Jesse. I'm not saying that Jesse's great, but
- 24:40Speaker 1: also people are like, Jesse's not that pretty. I'm like,
- 24:42Speaker 1: Jesse's gorgeous. Also, Allie's gorgeous. There are a lot of
- 24:45Speaker 1: beautiful people on this season. Well, those people. Um, Andy
- 24:51Speaker 1: has her own charm. Okay. So let's go back. Megan's like, hi,
- 24:57Speaker 1: how are you? How's that job hunt going? And he's like, oh, uh, well,
- 25:02Speaker 1: it's hard because I'm foreign. I'm like, is it? Shouldn't
- 25:04Speaker 1: that be like, do you speak English and you have
- 25:06Speaker 1: a whole ass career in America doing what I'm assuming
- 25:09Speaker 1: is some niche ass shit. So it shouldn't be you
- 25:14Speaker 1: white ass, stupid ass educated man. Like what? No. Okay. Well,
- 25:20Speaker 1: So then she's like, oh, yeah, I'll tell you what
- 25:22Speaker 1: he's not doing, applying to jobs. What he does do, TikTok,
- 25:25Speaker 1: watching TikTok. Why are you watching so much fucking TikTok?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Why aren't you applying to jobs, you stupid asshole? And
- 25:31Speaker 1: he's starting to get the hint that these women are
- 25:35Speaker 1: going to gang up on him, honey. And then suddenly
- 25:38Speaker 1: he's the prawn. He's been hooked. So anyway, Megan's like,
- 25:46Speaker 1: you know what? If you got a job, I'm sure
- 25:48Speaker 1: our girl would be just like more assured she's pregnant.
- 25:53Speaker 1: You know, because it doesn't really always seem like you're
- 25:55Speaker 1: trying and you know what's up. And he's like, I'm
- 25:58Speaker 1: obviously trying. I'm here right now, right? She's like, yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 1: but there's sometimes there's a lot of talk and no action.
- 26:04Speaker 1: He's like, cool story, but I'm here. Cool. Right. I'm
- 26:06Speaker 1: where you're seeing me right now. So what is happening?
- 26:09Speaker 1: You know? And he's like, listen, I didn't even want
- 26:12Speaker 1: to be here. We weren't going to be here. We
- 26:13Speaker 1: were going to be in America. And Megan's like, well,
- 26:17Speaker 1: did she want that? He's like, well, I don't know.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Did you want that? And then Allie's like, no, I
- 26:23Speaker 1: hate it in America. I, It was so not what
- 26:26Speaker 1: I expected. I had to live in your house with
- 26:28Speaker 1: your ex-wife. I'll never go back. And he's so pissed
- 26:32Speaker 1: about this. He's like, well, if we went back, she
- 26:35Speaker 1: wouldn't be living with us, would she? What are you doing?
- 26:41Speaker 1: She's like, well, we don't have to worry about that
- 26:43Speaker 1: because you're here now, right? Like, you're like, oh, fuck. fuck.
- 26:47Speaker 1: These prawns are like, we're going to just stay and
- 26:50Speaker 1: swim around, honey. We should be skidding away because you
- 26:53Speaker 1: should be eating us. But now this is like drama.
- 26:56Speaker 1: This is the biggest drama we've had, honey. Come Buster,
- 26:59Speaker 1: come Greg, come Mary Bell. I don't know the other
- 27:02Speaker 1: prawns names. They all swim up. They're like, what the fuck?
- 27:06Speaker 1: All the little critters in the land come and see
- 27:08Speaker 1: what these banshees are yelling about. Okay. So it's like
- 27:13Speaker 1: Megan's thing is like, yeah, if you're not going to
- 27:15Speaker 1: fucking do something, then like, I don't know, you just
- 27:19Speaker 1: might be more of a burden to her. And that's
- 27:22Speaker 1: interesting because half of me is like, you really think
- 27:26Speaker 1: this man's not shit? Is he not giving her any money?
- 27:30Speaker 1: Is he straight pulling, you know, like Niles? Like, is
- 27:35Speaker 1: she doing everything by, like, what do you think she's
- 27:38Speaker 1: doing by herself? And like, why would Ally be better
- 27:40Speaker 1: by herself? Only because what is the alternative if Ally
- 27:44Speaker 1: has not her parents on her side? I just want
- 27:48Speaker 1: to know what Megan's thought process is. I'm not saying
- 27:52Speaker 1: that Allie doesn't, but I don't quite understand the thought process.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So then suddenly, a cockroach just comes in. And I
- 28:07Speaker 1: don't know if it's Allie willing something to break this up,
- 28:11Speaker 1: or again, all the critters in the land decided to
- 28:14Speaker 1: give them a distraction. But the cockroach... sort of makes
- 28:19Speaker 1: Allie and her friend Megan squeal and scatter, and it's
- 28:23Speaker 1: a whole ass big deal. And the squealing and the
- 28:26Speaker 1: scattering triggers John to be annoyed and whatever. Also, I
- 28:35Speaker 1: think wanting to show up these, in his mind, probably dumb,
- 28:40Speaker 1: immature young girls. So he grabs the fucking cockroach barehanded,
- 28:46Speaker 1: like Bear Grylls would wrestle a goddamn bear. Okay. I'm sorry,
- 28:51Speaker 1: but it's like, it's a cockroach. And he just sort
- 28:56Speaker 1: of like football maneuvers the cockroach on the pier and
- 29:00Speaker 1: then like cups it with his hand and like scoops
- 29:04Speaker 1: it off. It is to me grotesque and in a
- 29:11Speaker 1: very small way, absolutely horrifying. The thought of doing this
- 29:19Speaker 1: is almost like a horror movie kind of thing to
- 29:23Speaker 1: watch someone grapple with live cockroaches and try and grab them.
- 29:27Speaker 1: And what if they threw them at you or who
- 29:30Speaker 1: knows what? I was like, this is a nightmare. And
- 29:32Speaker 1: it felt so... Okay. I wonder if in his mind,
- 29:39Speaker 1: he was trying... to do it in a masculine display.
- 29:44Speaker 1: You guys are screaming over this thing and screaming over me,
- 29:46Speaker 1: but I can take down this cockroach. But it's also
- 29:50Speaker 1: hilarious because he is a cockroach and so is this cockroach.
- 29:54Speaker 1: And a like a viable adversary to a man. Granted,
- 30:04Speaker 1: cockroaches are supposed to like, I guess, outlast us all,
- 30:06Speaker 1: but you know, it's a cockroach. It's not something that
- 30:13Speaker 1: usually is a good fight for us, a fair fight.
- 30:16Speaker 1: So he doesn't look that masculine or accomplished or big
- 30:20Speaker 1: or whatnot or protective by like just killing a cockroach. Their,
- 30:26Speaker 1: of course, reactions are so But there's something about Allie
- 30:32Speaker 1: that is kind of fake hyper feminine. Like there's something
- 30:37Speaker 1: about Allie that feels performative, like gross a pun. And
- 30:41Speaker 1: also being like, I love the smell of your armpits. There's,
- 30:45Speaker 1: I don't know, like a just weird toxic femininity about her,
- 30:52Speaker 1: if that makes sense. Okay, so obviously he's gotten upset.
- 30:58Speaker 1: He's gotten the cockroach out. He like leaves the area.
- 31:01Speaker 1: You know, the girls are looking at each other. Allie's like,
- 31:04Speaker 1: oh no. Allie was, he says, too quiet and did
- 31:10Speaker 1: not have his back when other people were attacking him.
- 31:13Speaker 1: So then Allie just decides to go to the bathroom.
- 31:15Speaker 1: And Megan comes over to talk to him more because
- 31:18Speaker 1: he loved the first batch so much, okay? And then
- 31:21Speaker 1: he's like, I just... you know, don't know why you
- 31:26Speaker 1: came at me so hard. And Megan's like, well, I
- 31:28Speaker 1: think it's sometimes, you know, the things you're saying sound
- 31:31Speaker 1: like a cop-out. And he's like, well, I think it's
- 31:34Speaker 1: a cop-out when you told me that she'd be better
- 31:37Speaker 1: off without me. Cause like, what does that mean? And
- 31:40Speaker 1: she's like, well, I just don't know if you give
- 31:46Speaker 1: or giving to Allie's life. And he's like giving, I'm
- 31:49Speaker 1: the father of those That child, that Johnny Pop she's
- 31:53Speaker 1: about to have. And you, you, Megan, you don't have kids,
- 31:56Speaker 1: do you? She's like, no. He's like, so you don't
- 31:58Speaker 1: get to come and tell me, person with kids, what
- 32:01Speaker 1: to do with my kids. She's like, well, okay, well,
- 32:08Speaker 1: I'm going to, fair enough, listen to you. you are
- 32:10Speaker 1: valid in your feelings. I will tell you though, that
- 32:12Speaker 1: if my friend wants to tell me how they're feeling
- 32:15Speaker 1: and have an emotional release because they have no one,
- 32:17Speaker 1: I will be there for them. And if they want
- 32:19Speaker 1: me to speak up or advocate for them on their behalf,
- 32:23Speaker 1: I will. And he's like, well, you know what? I'll
- 32:25Speaker 1: tell you. You knew some private ass business and I
- 32:28Speaker 1: wasn't ready for it. She's like, well, I would assume
- 32:31Speaker 1: that if you didn't want Allie to say anything, you
- 32:34Speaker 1: guys would have said that. And he's like, oh, I did.
- 32:36Speaker 1: And she's like, well, Did she agree to say anything?
- 32:40Speaker 1: He's like, well, we'll talk about that. And she's like, well,
- 32:45Speaker 1: I guess you guys will. It's crazy. It's like Megan
- 32:51Speaker 1: does hold her own against this old man really well
- 32:55Speaker 1: in a face of someone who's older and weird and emotional.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I was really proud of her. I get verklempt. I
- 33:04Speaker 1: panic or fight. I don't know if it's fight or flight,
- 33:06Speaker 1: but it's like talk. Okay. Okay. There's fawn, fight, or flight, right?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Fawn is... Wait. Fight is fight. Flight is fight. Fawn
- 33:17Speaker 1: is to be like, oh, you're fine, or whatever. It's
- 33:20Speaker 1: not so much that I fawn. It's like I bumble. Fumble. Fight. Flight. Fawn. Fumble.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Is there a fumble? I'll look it up. Okay. Wow. Okay. So...
- 33:38Speaker 1: He obviously is still upset because he's a little whiny,
- 33:41Speaker 1: whiny boy and he can't handle, I mean, a very
- 33:45Speaker 1: young girl just asking him basic questions. And that is
- 33:49Speaker 1: what I found so interesting. She, again, is handling herself
- 33:55Speaker 1: and speaking so well and communicating so well, her thoughts
- 33:57Speaker 1: and feelings. She's not getting reactive. She's being able to
- 34:00Speaker 1: hold space for him and also have her boundary like, well,
- 34:03Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying, but at the same time,
- 34:05Speaker 1: I'm going to be there for my friend who has no,
- 34:07Speaker 1: you know, she's just, that's what her vibe is. And
- 34:11Speaker 1: I go back to be like, let's just say you
- 34:14Speaker 1: were his therapist. How would he have been able to
- 34:19Speaker 1: handle that moment where in his mind, whether it's right
- 34:25Speaker 1: or wrong, he's like, I don't want to talk about
- 34:28Speaker 1: my business with this person who has no place talking
- 34:33Speaker 1: about my business. and or I wasn't expecting to talk
- 34:37Speaker 1: about this, and or C, this is a conversation that
- 34:40Speaker 1: I want to have with Allie and Allie only. All
- 34:43Speaker 1: three of those I feel like could be communicated in
- 34:47Speaker 1: a way that shuts Megan down while also giving space
- 34:52Speaker 1: to the concerns at hand, which are basically everyone saying this,
- 34:58Speaker 1: including Allie. Allie wants these concerns addressed. And she feels
- 35:07Speaker 1: insecure with how you've addressed them, or if you will,
- 35:13Speaker 1: or your ability to do so. Now, you can know
- 35:22Speaker 1: of those concerns, but even in the knowing, you certainly
- 35:28Speaker 1: haven't put any action out there to make it seem
- 35:31Speaker 1: like you care. So what is it? Do you just
- 35:34Speaker 1: not care? You don't take them seriously? Because even if
- 35:39Speaker 1: you think they are over the top or too much
- 35:44Speaker 1: or dramatic, at the end of the day, you are
- 35:48Speaker 1: not a pregnant woman. young woman. You'll never know what
- 35:52Speaker 1: it's like to be a woman. You'll never know what
- 35:54Speaker 1: it's like to be young again. And you don't know
- 35:56Speaker 1: what it's like to be pregnant. And you certainly don't
- 35:59Speaker 1: know what it's like to be like in a foreign
- 36:01Speaker 1: country or not being talking to your parents or being
- 36:04Speaker 1: raised like a certain religion where you're now, you're absolutely
- 36:07Speaker 1: haram in every way and every eye of the religion,
- 36:10Speaker 1: all of the eyes, the evil eye staring at you
- 36:12Speaker 1: because you are what haram. I mean, I'm just saying,
- 36:14Speaker 1: you know, so like she has a lot of pressure, right?
- 36:18Speaker 1: All I'm saying is he doesn't know what it's like
- 36:19Speaker 1: to have all of that on you and then have
- 36:22Speaker 1: like some old bumbling buffoon be like, I'll get a
- 36:26Speaker 1: job someday. I just need to know how much money
- 36:30Speaker 1: she's getting from him monthly because I need to know
- 36:32Speaker 1: the scale of it because- He seems to think that $ 10, 000
- 36:40Speaker 1: isn't a lot of money. And I would assume that
- 36:43Speaker 1: there is a world in which a white man would
- 36:45Speaker 1: think that it wouldn't be a lot of money. And
- 36:47Speaker 1: maybe he could just get it. But I can't quite
- 36:50Speaker 1: tell if he's like a Nigel where he's like, yeah,
- 36:52Speaker 1: I have money, but also I can't pay for a timeshare,
- 36:54Speaker 1: which is probably what's happening. Or if $ 10, 000 is just
- 36:58Speaker 1: sitting in some stock somewhere, he has to just liquidate.
- 37:04Speaker 1: but I kind of feel like it's not, he's not
- 37:07Speaker 1: rich because he wouldn't be needing to get a job.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Like he would be able to have the job still
- 37:12Speaker 1: giving him money in America. That's what I'm confused about.
- 37:17Speaker 1: He owns a company with his dad. Did he buy,
- 37:21Speaker 1: did his dad buy him out? Like, no, because he
- 37:24Speaker 1: keeps saying he's going to try and like get manufacturing
- 37:27Speaker 1: happening here. I need this. I hate it. So, okay, fine.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Let's move on. Oh no. Okay. So Basically, you know,
- 37:33Speaker 1: he gets upset and then he gets up from talking
- 37:35Speaker 1: to Megan and he finally, Allie comes over and she's like, hi.
- 37:43Speaker 1: And he's like, look, I am seriously, seriously thinking about leaving.
- 37:52Speaker 1: And she's like, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Did
- 38:03Speaker 1: my friend make you upset? You don't want to pawn anymore?
- 38:08Speaker 1: Did my little friend ask you the hard questions and
- 38:12Speaker 1: now you're so upset now? That's literally what I feel
- 38:17Speaker 1: like she does. She does not give one fuck. Two things.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Either she doesn't give a fuck, like I'm saying, and
- 38:22Speaker 1: this is all sarcastic, or it is like that horrible
- 38:24Speaker 1: woman pick-me thing where she's like, oh, this man's upset
- 38:28Speaker 1: at me. I'll throw one of the two things I
- 38:30Speaker 1: know tits or baby voice because obviously sexy baby is
- 38:38Speaker 1: the way to every stupid man's heart so I'm sorry
- 38:45Speaker 1: I'm sorry I didn't mean to I'm sorry she made
- 38:50Speaker 1: you upset baby your hands smell like prawns I like
- 38:58Speaker 1: the smell of prawns you know you're just like oh
- 39:01Speaker 1: my god Okay. But then he's like, no, I'm fucking
- 39:06Speaker 1: going to leave. I'm outie 5,000, all of it. She's like,
- 39:11Speaker 1: this relationship? He's like, yeah, this country, this relationship, this
- 39:21Speaker 1: midlife crisis. I think I'm going to hopefully get over
- 39:24Speaker 1: it someday. You know, just like, oh my God, he's
- 39:26Speaker 1: a nightmare. Okay. So let's move on. Zuri and Ben,
- 39:30Speaker 1: we get this one B roll where it's just like,
- 39:32Speaker 1: it feels like a very long segment that almost feels like,
- 39:36Speaker 1: you know, like Anthony Bourdain segment where we just watch
- 39:39Speaker 1: this French guy make these candies. Like, you're like, is
- 39:43Speaker 1: this part of Ben's lineage? What's Bergmont candies? You're like,
- 39:48Speaker 1: is this part of it? Like, did they pay for this?
- 39:52Speaker 1: special commercial. What do those candies taste like? I love caramel. Okay.
- 40:02Speaker 1: So she's in route to Paris, honey. And I'm sorry,
- 40:04Speaker 1: she's in, sorry, my love. She's in Paris. She's in
- 40:08Speaker 1: route to meet Ben. She has to go to the
- 40:10Speaker 1: train station, the Parisian train station. How gorgeous. Find out
- 40:14Speaker 1: where her train is. You know, they do that thing
- 40:16Speaker 1: where the flaps flap down. Oh my God. It's so fun.
- 40:19Speaker 1: You can hear it all happen at once when they change.
- 40:21Speaker 1: She had to find her platform. Maybe they're digitalized now.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Maybe that doesn't bring it through, but when it's the
- 40:26Speaker 1: flaps is always the best. Um, and she's chill with that.
- 40:30Speaker 1: You know, Paris has a great, I guess, metropolitan or,
- 40:36Speaker 1: you know, obviously made diagrammed city transit system in the
- 40:43Speaker 1: city and then great trains to neighboring cities. It's very
- 40:48Speaker 1: easy to get around. Um, So, you know, she gets
- 40:54Speaker 1: on that train by herself. And Ben, we pick up
- 40:57Speaker 1: and is in his apartment. He's making some really yummy espresso.
- 41:03Speaker 1: It's fancy. And, you know, I don't know if she
- 41:05Speaker 1: got to eat while she left. I saw there was
- 41:08Speaker 1: a LaPon Quotampe behind her when she was getting on
- 41:11Speaker 1: the train. I was like, girl, get a piece of
- 41:13Speaker 1: that bread and that hazelnut spread for the road. But
- 41:16Speaker 1: back then, Ben had made a poster of her. And
- 41:19Speaker 1: he shows his sister Clara. And she's like, oh, subtle. wow,
- 41:24Speaker 1: just a bunch of boxes and pictures. Wow. Would you
- 41:27Speaker 1: really tore it up on Canva? Didn't you just couldn't
- 41:31Speaker 1: even like put a shading on any of the lettering
- 41:33Speaker 1: or any, just, just, yeah, just pick box and picture
- 41:38Speaker 1: box and picture. Wow. But then Zuri picks up honey
- 41:45Speaker 1: in the train and she's like, I love my outfit.
- 41:48Speaker 1: And I think he thinks it's going to be cute.
- 41:51Speaker 1: It's Frenched out. And she certainly is Frenched out to
- 41:54Speaker 1: the point where I have a couple of pictures from
- 41:56Speaker 1: Reddit and I wanted you to see what I saw,
- 42:00Speaker 1: which was the hee hee ha ha hoo hoos over
- 42:03Speaker 1: some of these, not me generated, but funny comparisons. One
- 42:08Speaker 1: picture has a picture of the red, of course, double-breasted
- 42:14Speaker 1: blazer with the black buttons and her beret. And then
- 42:17Speaker 1: a picture of like Millie or Vanellie, honey, one of them.
- 42:20Speaker 1: When Milli or Vanilli Honey, one of them was wearing
- 42:23Speaker 1: a very similar vibed thing. And then that's the post
- 42:28Speaker 1: on Reddit that started it. And then underneath it, someone
- 42:31Speaker 1: also put like this picture of Elizabeth Banks. Sorry, Elizabeth Banks.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Hillary Banks from Fresh Prince. Not Elizabeth Banks, Hillary Banks. Anyway,
- 42:44Speaker 1: also similar vibe. Yeah, black and red. Here for it. Okay, so...
- 42:57Speaker 1: He gets to the train station and he brings her
- 43:02Speaker 1: really beautiful flowers. Oh, they're like pale, pale pinks with
- 43:07Speaker 1: like eucalyptus. It's wrapped in like beautiful brown paper. It's gorgeous.
- 43:14Speaker 1: She comes. Their hello, I think, was certainly filmed over
- 43:19Speaker 1: and over again because the one we saw... look like
- 43:22Speaker 1: the sixth take. And I wouldn't say it's romantic. I
- 43:26Speaker 1: would say their overall vibe is cutesy. They're adorable. It's
- 43:31Speaker 1: very cutesy. They're like, oh, hi. Oh, it's so good
- 43:37Speaker 1: to see you. Hi, I miss you. And then she
- 43:43Speaker 1: says over and over again, I'm so happy. He's like,
- 43:48Speaker 1: I'm so happy. I'm so happy. It's like so generic, like, okay.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Don't talk about it. Be about it. I don't know
- 44:00Speaker 1: what I like. I guess I assume they're going to
- 44:02Speaker 1: like romantically kiss. They just like, they seem so young,
- 44:09Speaker 1: like little, like sweet, like they're almost like awkward. Oh, hi,
- 44:13Speaker 1: you look cute. Like then someone's like, what year are we?
- 44:17Speaker 1: How old are you guys? So they start talking in
- 44:24Speaker 1: the car and you know, she is like, I'm trying
- 44:32Speaker 1: this again and I didn't do a great job of
- 44:35Speaker 1: learning the language. And I have to get into my
- 44:38Speaker 1: mind and my body that when you try something new,
- 44:40Speaker 1: you fail a lot, period. So just get over the
- 44:43Speaker 1: fact that you fail because that's what happens. He's like, yeah,
- 44:46Speaker 1: you have to fail to learn. And she gets to
- 44:50Speaker 1: his place. His place is very well put together. It's
- 44:52Speaker 1: the opposite of Nigel's place. I'd much rather say at
- 44:55Speaker 1: Ben's place. And I'd much rather have the snacks that
- 44:58Speaker 1: Ben got her than over Vittoro, though the villa does
- 45:02Speaker 1: look beautiful. But he got her a bunch of American snacks.
- 45:06Speaker 1: There's Lay's. There's Cool Ranch Doritos. There's all the yums.
- 45:10Speaker 1: I feel like the Lay's was maybe the Cheddar Sour Cream,
- 45:14Speaker 1: which is top tier. Top tier. I guess Baked Ruffles.
- 45:20Speaker 1: I should say that. The Baked Ruffles Cheddar Onion... sour
- 45:25Speaker 1: cream situation is top tier. Yeah. It's been so long
- 45:30Speaker 1: since I've had that. I forgot about it until just
- 45:33Speaker 1: like now for some reason. Okay. And then of course
- 45:38Speaker 1: she's like, I got you presents too. It's American coffee,
- 45:41Speaker 1: which is weird. We just saw him like make the
- 45:42Speaker 1: most beautiful espresso, but I guess he also wants flavored coffee.
- 45:45Speaker 1: At first I'm like, is it Dunkin's? I hope it's
- 45:48Speaker 1: not Dunkin's. I think it might've been though. And then
- 45:51Speaker 1: she's like, and the enchilada sauce. I was like, oh,
- 45:55Speaker 1: he loves that enchilada sauce. I love that for him.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Then they pop bubbly. And I love that too. And
- 46:02Speaker 1: he says, you know, in three years, she hasn't trained
- 46:04Speaker 1: in French. And she's like, yeah, of course. I'll be honest.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I'm taking it for granted because you speak English. He's like, yeah,
- 46:09Speaker 1: but you're in France. You can't do anything in this
- 46:13Speaker 1: country and you can't do anything but move through me.
- 46:15Speaker 1: And I don't want to have to be your portal
- 46:19Speaker 1: to everything. She's like, he's like, so let's practice. Say
- 46:29Speaker 1: I'm happy. She's like, je suis content. And I forgot
- 46:34Speaker 1: exactly which one, but it's something like. the male is
- 46:38Speaker 1: content and like the female is content and maybe it's
- 46:41Speaker 1: the other way around. And she's like, oh, well, whatever.
- 46:44Speaker 1: God bless. Can we just be a little more woke? Like,
- 46:46Speaker 1: fuck these genders. He's like, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
- 46:48Speaker 1: And then it's a cute thing. He's like, okay, ha, ha, ha. Here,
- 46:50Speaker 1: give me your phone. And what he does, honey, is
- 46:52Speaker 1: he changes his settings, the settings of her phone to French.
- 46:56Speaker 1: He's like, that's what I did. And it really worked. English.
- 47:00Speaker 1: You have to. It's also like, yeah, you have to watch,
- 47:03Speaker 1: I think, Entertainment, I mean, especially if you are someone
- 47:07Speaker 1: who does watch TV or television or films with subtitles.
- 47:13Speaker 1: I think it's really important to see faces and communication
- 47:19Speaker 1: with conversation. It's just so much easier to like watch
- 47:24Speaker 1: a human express with words and watch the sound come
- 47:28Speaker 1: out of their mouth than it is to A, listen
- 47:33Speaker 1: to just auditory, you know, Je suis large en vie.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Number one. There used to be these like French. It
- 47:45Speaker 1: was like some like cartoon elephant that would just say,
- 47:48Speaker 1: I'm a little girl. Je suis large en vie. Or
- 47:50Speaker 1: something like that. Anyway, I think, you know, it's easier
- 47:55Speaker 1: to watch a human say, Je t'aime. And know that
- 48:05Speaker 1: they're looking into the eyes of someone they really want
- 48:07Speaker 1: to kiss, and they look all lovey-dovey. And when they say,
- 48:11Speaker 1: you're like, well, I guess I'm assuming that that means
- 48:13Speaker 1: I love you. It doesn't mean like, I have gas.
- 48:18Speaker 1: It'd be weird, just the way the context of what's
- 48:22Speaker 1: happening in the scene if she did. So yeah, I
- 48:24Speaker 1: can see that means I love you. I think it helps.
- 48:27Speaker 1: So one thing about Ben... is that he loves neon signs.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I mean, what is he, a podcaster? He's like, yeah, girl,
- 48:37Speaker 1: get that Vanity Fair neon sign behind you. I love
- 48:40Speaker 1: neon signs. He has two in his home. Is there
- 48:43Speaker 1: a neon sign factory right next to this candy place?
- 48:47Speaker 1: Is it like, we've been doing these candies in France
- 48:49Speaker 1: since 1901, right next to the neon sign place. He
- 48:56Speaker 1: has also stupid neon signs. Like a neon sign that
- 49:00Speaker 1: just says bar, where his alcohol is, bar. That's not
- 49:07Speaker 1: worth it. Whatever you pay for that sign, it's not
- 49:09Speaker 1: worth it. And I mean that because I have probably
- 49:16Speaker 1: complained about word art 100%. billion times on this show.
- 49:23Speaker 1: And I, you know, neon can be exactly that. It
- 49:27Speaker 1: has to be something different for me to really like
- 49:29Speaker 1: take home that it's not just even louder, more obnoxious
- 49:33Speaker 1: word art. Oh, baby booze. Can you believe that we've
- 49:41Speaker 1: done it, that we've talked all about these people and
- 49:45Speaker 1: their ways? Two parts, two hearts, mine, yours. Oh, my poet. Okay,
- 49:56Speaker 1: my babes. Thank you so much. I am a poet.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I'm a rapper. I'm a poet. So many things. Chris Farah, podcaster, rapper, poet, singer, philosopher.
- 50:09Speaker 1: perfect speaker, elocutionist. I do a lot of geometry and
- 50:14Speaker 1: I study philosophy. And I know how to say those
- 50:17Speaker 1: words all the time. So don't worry about it. All right,
- 50:20Speaker 1: my babes. Listen, if you want more of me, you
- 50:22Speaker 1: absolutely can get more of me. Thank you so much
- 50:24Speaker 1: for hanging around. Thank you so much for spending time
- 50:26Speaker 1: with me. I really appreciate it, truly. If you want
- 50:29Speaker 1: more though, here are some free ways and here are
- 50:30Speaker 1: some cheap ways. Free ways, of course, You can find
- 50:33Speaker 1: me on social media. I exist all over the place.

- 50:55Speaker 1: to have more fun benefits and more tiers. Guess what?
- 51:00Speaker 1: New things are on the horizon because Vanity Fair is
- 51:03Speaker 1: on its way to its very first birthday. One year
- 51:06Speaker 1: since I have launched this podcast from the old feed,
- 51:11Speaker 1: from the old podcast that I had with a co-host.
- 51:15Speaker 1: God bless Vanity evolution, and I wish it for everyone.
- 51:19Speaker 1: And I'm so thankful that anyone and all of you
- 51:22Speaker 1: have either found me in this year or stuck with
- 51:25Speaker 1: me since previous iterations. Really, my heart is full, almost
- 51:32Speaker 1: growing too big. So all of that exists. And then
- 51:35Speaker 1: just spend some time with me as we breathe together
- 51:39Speaker 1: presently in this moment, because for some reason, God or
- 51:43Speaker 1: the in this moment, let's be here. And it's not
- 51:51Speaker 1: for me, it's for you. I'm doing it for myself
- 51:54Speaker 1: right now as I record this, and it can only
- 51:58Speaker 1: benefit you to just take a moment out of your
- 52:01Speaker 1: day to just remember what it's like to feel your
- 52:03Speaker 1: body presently. So let's do it. Two breaths, out, in, out, in,
- 52:09Speaker 1: and then I'll let you go, okay? Okay. All right, babes,
- 52:40Speaker 1: take care of yourselves and one another. Stand up for
- 52:43Speaker 1: what you believe and you make art. All right. Bye.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Art right. Just kidding. Bye.
