The Save The Tarkine campaign aims to protect pristine rainforest and this land it is also home to many significant and sacred Aboriginal cultural heritage sites and is also home to over 60 rare, threatened and endangered species. This pristine and ancient rainforest and eucalypt forest areaas on the beautiful coastline of the Southern Ocean is an area is located in the North West of Tasmania and has over the years had many threats to the local land and waters including; Logging, Mining and also 4WD vehicle use through signficant aboriginal sites.
