- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another wonderful episode of Fantasy Football Sports Minds with your hosts.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: It's your boy Manny James Games here with Joe.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Joe the Birdman.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: How you doing today, brother?
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: I'm doing very well, Manny.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: I've had a great uh couple weeks in fantasy football.
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: So I'm on the top in a couple seasons.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: I'm still on the bottom and a couple others, but it's been a good week for me, and I'm excited for this upcoming week, too.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: How about you?
- 0:43SPEAKER_02: How are you doing?
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, I'm doing great, my friend.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: I'm um definitely still in the hunt.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Uh, a couple of them, I'm definitely dominating, had some great draft strategies, 7-1, 7-1.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: So still pulling it through, and then four and four.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: So I'm still fighting in one.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: But uh yeah, definitely a good good week.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: I know some bye weeks coming up here.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Now a lot of big teams are on bye this week.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Obviously, uh uh the major ones, Detroit are on bye week this week, San Francisco, uh Jacksonville, so some some big offenses.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, even Denver, I don't know.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Um, I haven't relied on any Denver players this year, but uh the other three are definitely some key players out there.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Are you missing any uh players on those by this week?
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I have enough, I have a deep enough bench, at least in the leagues where I'm doing well.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: My bench is deep enough where it's not really an issue.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: Um the leagues where I'm on the bottom, it is an issue.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: But you know, I've been struggling all season with injuries, and um I'm kind of just punting on those leagues.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: I'm still gonna set my lineup every week and do what I can to stay in the playoff hunt, but it's pretty much over for me in two leagues.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: So it is what it is.
- 2:00SPEAKER_02: Um, but in the two leagues where I'm in the top three, uh my bench is very deep to the point where I'm actually not sure who to play at certain positions, so I'm doing just fine.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: That definitely champagne problems in those for sure.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Um speaking of injuries, uh Kirk Coons is the newest injury here to the report.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Uh Achilles, he's out for the year.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: I know Vikings picked up Josh Dobbs in a trade.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you know, everybody in Minnesota takes a dip on that fantasy radar.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: So obviously, Jordan Addison was looking phenomenal uh for those last two weeks since uh Jordan Justin Jefferson went out.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: But now with that injury, I don't know.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm definitely not so high on Jordan Addison anymore.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Um, and even if if Justin Jefferson comes back, I'm still not as high on him.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And I know he's one of those guys you start him no matter what, but uh his his stock definitely takes a dip for me.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I agree.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: And I think that Hawkinson will probably take a dip too.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: Um, even though he's gonna be a safety valve, he's you know, Kirk Cousins is a really good quarterback, specifically for fantasy, uh, but in general, and yeah, all those guys are gonna take a hit.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: I don't see how they couldn't.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: I mean, I think they're all still gonna have value, but I just think they're going to have less value.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: I don't think they're gonna take a hit as much as everybody else does.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: You know, I've I've heard people talk about you know, Addison's gonna be back on waivers.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: I don't think it's gonna be anything like that.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: The guy looked great, but um they're all gonna take a hit.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: I don't I don't know if Dobbs is gonna have any value.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: We're gonna have to wait and see how that plays out, but you know, he can probably be a good streamer from week to week.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, another good waiver ad I I think would be Trey McBride.
- 3:57SPEAKER_02: Uh I did a player profile on him, and that's because Zach Ertz is on IR.
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: So um, you know, I would wait to add Dobbs and see what happens, but um, if you can add Trey McBride, I would add him.
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: Uh I can't think of any other injuries off the top of my head that are significant enough where you're gonna make moves on your roster.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, true.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And how about any other waiver wire ads you recommend for this week here?
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: Maybe Taysom Hill if you're reaching for a tight end.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: He's been consistent for three straight weeks, but you don't know.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: He could fall off uh for another month straight.
- 4:37SPEAKER_02: So if you need something, he's worth a shot.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and uh you're another guy from that team, Rasheed Shahid, right?
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: He's somebody that you know could be in for a couple games, probably bounce out, you know.
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's tough to say.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: I started him in one league where I was desperate, and he he almost won it for me.
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: You know, he put up close to 30.
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: So he's worth an ad if you need a wide receiver.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: And Rashad Dotson, uh, he's somebody that's been available in a few leagues.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: You know, obviously, I'm sure after this week, I'm sure he's been a top priority ad, but you know, he's someone I've seen available multiple leagues uh the after this past week here.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and you know, I had Jahan Dotson on almost every team.
- 5:28SPEAKER_02: Um, I drafted him in almost every league, and I dropped him a couple weeks ago.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: And uh man, you know, no one expected the team uh Sam Howe to throw that many times, but if you look at that offense, they throw the ball non-stop.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: So I wouldn't be surprised at this point now that we've seen what they can do.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: Jahan Dotson might have a couple more big weeks.
- 5:51SPEAKER_02: I I still am, you know, not even close to comfortable starting him.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: Uh, but maybe I'll pick him up again in a couple leagues if I've got an extra bench spot.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: But man, yeah, that was frustrating because I dropped him uh to see him go off like that.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: But I am I am actually happy to see it because I was really high on him at the beginning of the season.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: I even thought he was gonna take Terry McLaurin's uh wide receiver one spot.
- 6:15SPEAKER_02: So that's how high I was on Jahan Dotson.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: So it is good to see him play like that.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you did a player profile on him too, so I know it's good to see him bounce back very early as well.
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, very early.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, and also when they they just trade off both their DNs too, so they're gonna be generating a lot less pressure for the uh for that team.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: So and they were actually solid on defense throughout the season.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Now their two best DNs are gone.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna expect that team to be behind a lot more often, and teams are gonna be scoring a lot easier, especially now after pass rush is gone.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: So um expect them to be behind a lot more games.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Uh, so that's a good point.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: I didn't even think about that.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: I heard about those two getting traded, but um, that's a good call.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: They're gonna possibly be playing from behind and throwing the ball more.
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: So more incentive to add someone like Dotson on your team.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they kept both their D tackles, the Aaron Payne and uh uh Jonathan Allen, but they got rid of Montez and uh uh Chase Young, so they're rebuilding.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: So um let's see.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: And Chase Young's on the Niners now, so that'll be that'll be cool to see too.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, anything.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, the Redskins hate the Eagles so much that they'll do anything that boosts up their enemies, right?
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Like literally, they gave the Niners traded for Andy Gregory two weeks ago.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: You know, they have Joey Bosa, they have, you know, they literally have everybody.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: They got uh Javon Ken Law, you know, they drafted him.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: They had they got the kid from USC, uh, they drafted him in the second round.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: I can't recall his name, but he's supposed to be like uh Drake, uh Drake.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Uh I can't recall his name.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Drake something.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Uh, but he's supposed to be a stud.
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: Um I just know they've made a lot of moves.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: Like the Niners have made quite a few moves.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: Uh Javon Hargrave from the Eagles, D-tackle.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: They sign him.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: It's strange to see so much activity in the middle of the season.
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: But yeah, and what and one more um, one more guy to think about if if he's available and you need a tight end is Logan Thomas because we were just talking about they might be throwing the ball a little bit more, and he has looked pretty good in recent weeks, too.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: So, you know, I'm always talking about tight ends.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: I don't mean to do that, but he's worth an ad if you need a tight end.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Tight end whisperer.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: That's your thing there, man.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: You you you love the tight ends, so we'll let you know.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: I'm always trying to find the I'm always trying to find like just someone that's reliable.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: So I do a little bit more research on them than probably most people.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Hey, I'll tell you guys they're all the good running backs for why we're seeers are.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: If you need a tight end that'll get you six to eight points, I'm your guy.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's funny.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: Hey, Joe's your guy.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: You need a tight end that will get you some something more than you want someone that's gonna put up more than that.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Tight ends suck, boys.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: Do not position.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: It is, it is position.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: All right, but uh getting into today this week's topic over here.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about the hot calls of the week.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Uh, because it's getting hot in here, my friend.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: It's uh it's getting into November here and it's warming up a bit.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: Um, and last week we had some pretty good calls.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Me and myself, uh for my hot calls, I did uh pull up a couple games for last week.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: So I had the Bears versus Chargers, ended up being a high-scoring game, 13-30.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: Obviously, it started off a little bit slow first half.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: It did heat up a little bit.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Chargers were on fire, of course.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: They were high scoring Bears did disappoint for the points.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Um, but uh the other game was the Cowboys versus the Rams.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: Uh Rams, of course, slower in the first half as well.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: They ended up scoring 20, so not horrible.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Uh, but they did go over the spread, and then Cowboys scored 43.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: They were absolutely on fire.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Um, and then of course, uh, my hot high-scoring game for this week, I do have the Eagles versus the Cowboys.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: It's in Philly.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Um, and as I said, any game against the Eagles this week, this year has been high scoring, and it hasn't disappointed, right?
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: Because every single time anyone plays the Eagles, they play their best game.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: And the Cowboys lately have been scoring last two games to scored over 40 points.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: So I think that's not gonna change.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Um, they're gonna be scoring over 40 on us as well.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: They always give us their best game.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: Uh, CD was on fire last week.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: I think he'll be on fire this week as well.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Um, and then the Eagles, of course, have to match that.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: So Cowboys have a top two pass defense this year, but if you look at the teams they've been playing, they've been all bottom five teams, anyways.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: So they're gonna actually go up against the top five offense now.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: So what's gonna happen is we're gonna, you know, also score put points on them as well.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna see a back and forth, you know, and ultimately it's gonna go down to whoever makes the biggest play last.
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: So I'm really looking forward to that game.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: And they and they've got uh, like you said, both have respectable defenses, but they've got high-powered offenses.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: Cowboys are finally starting to get that offense to look good, like like everyone wanted them to look at the beginning of the season.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: They're finally starting to get that look, they're starting to get in sync with each other.
- 11:33SPEAKER_02: Pollard's still struggling a little bit, but um, CD Land looks good, Dak looks good.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Uh, you know, they they've got enough people to spread the ball around, and then on the other side, you got the Eagles who clearly have a lot of weapons too.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: You know, the the offense for the um the Eagles has looked really solid for the entire season.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: And uh, as we were talking about pre-show before we start recording, DeAndre Swift has looked amazing.
- 12:02SPEAKER_02: And um, on top of that, of course, AJ Brown is an every week start without fail.
- 12:07SPEAKER_02: And I think Devonta Smith, he's always been up and down.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: He could easily have a big game, especially if this game turns into a shootout.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: You know, if if these teams start scoring early, expect it just to continue all game, and that's what I really hope happens.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: I, you know, I got a lot uh players from the Eagles, and um it's just always a good game.
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: Like you said, these teams play each other hard.
- 12:33SPEAKER_02: So I expect that same thing to go down.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, and it's it's not gonna end until the final whistle, too.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: And uh Eagles uh what I've noticed too, they can't really cover CeeDee Lamb.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: Like that kind of receiver, that quite quick, shifty receiver, he's always gonna be open.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: So I mean, I'm gonna be running a lot of Well, you've been talking about their secondary all all year.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: Their secondary.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Kevin Byers been there two weeks.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: He's not gonna, he's not gonna help their secondary this week.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, Eli Ricks, they're talking about the rookie, he's not gonna.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, Eagles are playing zone.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: They're I mean, their defense is not really uh ready to shut anybody down yet.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: So at the end of the day, until we get later on, like uh and we start uh flowing and like gelling, I I don't think we're gonna stop the Cowboys this week.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: So uh I just think it's gonna be a fun matchup uh as far as high a lot of points, and it's gonna be in Philly, and it's just gonna be loud, it's gonna be wild, and uh I'm gonna be playing a lot of matchups with you know multiple players from both sides for for DraftKings this weekend.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: There's probably gonna be a lot of fights in Philly as always, but maybe even a few more since it's against the Cowboys.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's gonna you're gonna get some uh some uh clickbait for sure.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Some belligerence, yes.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Well what about you?
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: Well, my first hot matchup um is uh actually I'm gonna talk about the one I have listed here second, but just to tie it into last week.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: Last week, one of the hot matchups I had was the Niners and the Bengals.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: And it was the total the total points scored in that game was um 38.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry, 48.
- 14:22SPEAKER_02: Uh so they're 48 total points, but I expected the Niners to play a lot better than they did.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: Uh, but the Bengals, man, they came out swinging and they kept swinging all game.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: And um, I expect them to have another great matchup with the Bills.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: You know, the Bills is a is uh pretty rock solid defense, but they haven't looked great this season, not nearly as as good as they did last year.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: And um just the offense from the Bills and the offense from Cincy, both of them have like average defenses, and they're they're not expected to uh to be able to stop each other.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: It's it's gonna be a shootout if if the offenses are playing well, which I expect them to, because they both look good.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, the Bengals bounce back, they look like they're in their true form.
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: Uh the Bills have been steady.
- 15:14SPEAKER_02: Diggs is an every play week, Chase is an every play week or every week play.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, I don't I don't know who else I would start with confidence outside of those two receivers, but you know, if you've got Mixon, you're gonna play him.
- 15:31SPEAKER_02: Um you know, with the Bills, they they made that move on Fournette.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: I think that's just gonna uh we're gonna have to wait and see what they do there.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: Um, but James Cook is probably gonna take a little bit of a hit from that, but not this week.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: This week I'd be playing Mixon, I'd be playing James Cook, I'd be you know, with confidence, obviously I'd be playing Chase and I'll be playing Diggs.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: Uh Josh Allen, Burrow, Burrow looks like he's back.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: Um, I picked him up in a in a league that someone actually dropped him a couple weeks ago when he was on a buy, so I picked him up, and now I'm gonna try to trade him because I've got hurts in that league.
- 16:09SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, the thing is I might hold him for a couple weeks and let him blow up even more, and you know, that value will build because he's going to be great, and uh this game is going to be great, it's gonna be very offensive.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely, and um it'd definitely be a high-scoring game for sure.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: Cincinnati and Bills, they always play each other good.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Obviously, last year um was the first rematch since that whole DeMar Hanling game that they had the year before, um, where it was canceled.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: So uh Bills obviously had the injury uh to Tredavio.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: They lost him for the season, and they haven't been the same.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Um uh obviously Von Miller's been playing limited snaps.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: He hasn't been his himself since tearing his ACL um two years before.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: So the Bills are still trying to find that defensive uh identity since also losing Matt Milano for the season to the knee injury.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: So that you know, uh Cincinnati has been playing good offensive and defensive finally the last two games.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: So um uh they could definitely run away with that game.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: But you're right, I um with uh Leonard Fournette coming into the picture, that could also take a hit on James Cook.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: So I'm sorry that I won that trade um for Jameer Gibbs by the way.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but it kept me, but it kept me alive.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: And I did get Waddle, and I did get Waddle.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: You got Pickens, though, and I know you I know you're happy because those are the two guys you're gonna for in the draft, as we discussed last week.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: You got Gibbs, you got Pickens.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: I sniped them from you in the draft after we talked about it during preseason.
- 17:50SPEAKER_02: You got them back, but Waddle and James Cook kept me alive that week and are still, as far as I'm concerned, Waddle's gonna be good the rest of the season.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: James Cook, not I I don't know what's gonna happen to him, but for now, I think he's gonna have a double-digit fate this weekend, so you know I'll worry about it when I have to.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: And and I still got some guys on IR, so when they come back, I might not even be worried about it.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, you got just Jefferson and James, James Connor should be back week 10 next week.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: So uh, I mean, and Devin and Chane, too.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Achan, he should be coming back same week, so you should be back in business then.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, but yeah, uh definitely some uh considerations there.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: So uh you should say so.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Kyron Williams, yeah.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: You got a you got a good team, man.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: When they come back, if if I'm still alive, when they come back, I'll be all right.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: I think you play me this week as well, right?
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know what's weird, man?
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: Uh you're you're in first place.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: The two guys below you, you're you're seven and one.
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: The guys in second and third place have less points than me.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: And I'm like at the bottom.
- 19:04SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm I'm like kind of in the middle, um, but I'm closer to the bottom than I am the middle.
- 19:10SPEAKER_02: You know, it's just the way it is.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: The matchups, you know, they don't always work.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you play those guys' only losses are to me, too.
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: They play me.
- 19:19SPEAKER_02: They both matchups for me.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: We're projected at about the same, but you can never trust those projections.
- 19:25SPEAKER_02: So I'm I'm hoping for uh hoping to get lucky this weekend.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you you you're facing me without my two of my best weapons.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: So you I got a little lucky.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: My haymaker, McCaffrey's out, Jameer Gibbs is out.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: So I mean I couldn't have asked for a better week to play you.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: That's all right.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: I'll I'll still give you a good shot there.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: And no Montgomery, too.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: So uh we'll see what happens.
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: Uh so's your uh who's your second hot matchup of the week?
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: My second hot matchup, I have the Seahawks and the Ravens.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: I think this can be a good, uh, really good match because two great teams, man.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: They both have really great offenses and defenses.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: I think when you have two great teams that have great offenses and defenses, it becomes uh uh it basically becomes an offensive match.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Like uh it's uh because if you have like two solid defenses and like bum offenses, it just becomes a defensive chess match.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: But when you're you're just great on both sides of the ball, it's basically like you know, it becomes strike for strike, you know, like tactical strike.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Like you you have teams like that, like you're gonna see who's a good way to put it who's gonna be scoring.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna see Ravens putting up points, uh Seahawks putting up points, like Lamar Jackson's gonna have a big day.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: I think you know, I'm running some lineups with Lamar, you know, Seahawks, you know.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: Uh I don't know if it's gonna be Kenneth Walker having a big day because Ravens are really good against a run, um, or if it's gonna be Gino putting up the big day because maybe the Ravens are more susceptible against a pass.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Um, and Seahawks obviously have some really good receivers, so you might see a big DK day.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Um, or maybe Tyler Lockett gets back there, you know.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: But uh either way, I think they're gonna be going at it, but I think Ravens are gonna overpower them.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: I think Ravens are gonna put up more points, you know.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: Mark Andrews, Lamar Jackson combination, you know, Gus Bus had three touchdowns.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Maybe he's the guy.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: So um it's hard to predict who will be higher scoring at on that line on that side of the ball, but I think it has to involve Lamar Jackson overall, the high scorer.
- 21:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I think DK is gonna have a great game too because you said they're they're probably gonna have a little bit of difficulty running the ball.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: I love Kenneth Walker.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: He's looked great, but um, you know, he hasn't he he's gotten touchdowns, but he hasn't gotten like crazy yardage.
- 21:57SPEAKER_02: So he might have uh you know some tough slides.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Setting up against Baltimore, and I could see them leaning on the pass game more and throwing the ball, you know, double-digit targets to DK Metcalf, um, getting Lockett mixed in there.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: I could definitely see them uh passing quite a bit, and and that should be a high scoring game for sure.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: And Ravens also number one sack team in the league.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: They lead the league in sacks and uh seventh ranked pass defense.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: So it could be a long day for the um Seahawks.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: I did not know their pass defense was ranked that high.
- 22:33SPEAKER_02: Damn.
- 22:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: They're good, but like I said, it's gonna be strike for strike.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: I think Seahawks, because of that, Ravens are gonna put up points quick, and Seahawks are gonna have to drop back all day, and it's gonna cancel out the run game for the Seahawks who can't run as much.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: Well, my second hot matchup is um one that's probably going to be highly offensive, and that's the Dolphins versus the Chiefs.
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: Chiefs had uh a rough one last week, but they're gonna bounce back, they're gonna come into this game with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove, you know, throw the middle finger up at everybody and saying, Did you forget who we are?
- 23:15SPEAKER_02: But they're playing Miami, who is a seriously high-powered offense.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: You're gonna have Tyreek, you're gonna have Tua, you're gonna have Waddle.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Those three alone, you know, are a serious threat to any team.
- 23:31SPEAKER_02: And then their run games looked rock solid.
- 23:34SPEAKER_02: You know, Mostert's gonna be in there tearing things up, so you've got too many weapons from Miami.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: Uh, the Chiefs' defense has looked respectable this year, but they won't stop Miami.
- 23:47SPEAKER_02: And, you know, on on that side of the ball, Mahomes is gonna be, you know, back to 100% getting into this game.
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: He's got Kelsey, he's got Rasheed Rice, who I think has looked really steady um pretty much all season, and they're just giving him more volume now.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: And with a game that's gonna be really high scoring, like this one is, um, I could see Rasheed Rice getting, you know, the highest targets in this game than he's gotten all season.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: And um, I just assume this is gonna be a back and forth game.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Pacheco should have a bounce back week two, they're gonna be dishing the ball to him.
- 24:25SPEAKER_02: Just too many weapons on both sides of the ball and not enough defense.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: So it should it should be a very fun game to watch.
- 24:31SPEAKER_02: Really, really fun.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: No doubt about that.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: Uh, that's gonna be a fun game.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: A lot of a lot of points, a lot of Tyreek Hill, a lot of Travis Kelsey.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: Um, you're definitely gonna see that.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: And uh the Chiefs, I think, are susceptible against the the run as well.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: Nick Bowens on IR, the linebacker for the Chiefs.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna see Raheem Moser get some love.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: Uh Jeff Wilson hasn't really been getting a lot of touches.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna see Raheem Moser get some love there.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: Um maybe on the opposite side of the ball, Pacheco could get in against Miami.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: But uh Miami did get um get Jalen Ramsey back.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: So maybe they could, you know, you might see Miami shut it down as well because it's gonna be his second game back.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: He got a pick last game.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Maybe you know, uh you start seeing it a little bit more dominant because I don't know if they get Xavier and Howard back this game as well.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: Because if it's Jalen Ramsey and Xavier and Howard, you might see that Miami defense we probably expected in the preseason coming into the season.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: So um, but I obviously I still don't think Jalen Ramsey shuts down Kelsey because Jalen Ramsey plays sides of the field, he doesn't isolate and play against specific receivers, and you know Kansas City is going to move Travis Kelsey all over the field, so wherever they go, or she's going the other way.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there's no doubt.
- 25:55SPEAKER_02: And and one thing that the Chiefs have done a lot more this year is spread the ball around.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: The last few weeks, they've been throwing it a lot to a lot of different people, so um, you know, there could be a couple Chiefs wide receivers.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: You just don't know, as we've been saying, you just don't know which one it's gonna be each week.
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: But I assume that Mahomes is gonna be spreading the ball out like he has been, and everyone's gonna get a little more volume this game.
- 26:30SPEAKER_02: It's time for a cold call of the week.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: It's freezing down there in Florida, isn't it?
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, it's so cold.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: It's it's uh it's a cool 90 degrees here.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: It actually was uh I'm in North Carolina, it's actually cold as hell.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: Trick-or-treating last night.
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: I was freezing my balls off, tucked right up into my belly.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: But I know it's 90 in Florida.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: I know it's like you 7:30 in the morning, you walk outside Florida, you're sweating your ass off.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: Um but my cold call of the week, I'm uh you know this is kind of the same reasoning I had behind my cold call last week, which I hate to say was a miss.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: Um, but my cold call last week was uh the um Falcons versus the Titans, which turned out to be um over 50 total points, you know.
- 27:30SPEAKER_02: Um and that's that's something we can we can get into later.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: But um my reasoning behind that was because they're hurting at quarterback and they have no offense.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: That sounds like a recipe for disaster.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: I mean, but that's my same uh rationale with today's.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: Um I've got the Cardinals versus the Browns.
- 27:56SPEAKER_02: Cardinals are starting their third string quarterback, and we don't know who's playing quarterback for the Browns.
- 28:02SPEAKER_02: Um the run game PJ Walker.
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: Is that who they said?
- 28:07SPEAKER_02: Okay, I didn't know that.
- 28:09SPEAKER_02: Regardless, uh it's gonna be a mess.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: Um the running back game is a mess for both of them, too.
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: You know, they're the first string running backs out for both of them.
- 28:23SPEAKER_02: Um Kareem Hunt and Jerome Ford are both coming back from injury, and um right now I feel like there's there's too much that's broken on the Browns offense.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: Deshaun Watson is injured, he's been all over the place.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: I don't see them just falling in line uh to get things in order against the Cardinals.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: And the Cardinals, um, you know, they've got they've got some changes that were just made this week, too.
- 28:52SPEAKER_02: And both teams are just not in the right place to I I doubt they're in the right place to just start firing on all cylinders.
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: They just too many injuries and too many moving pieces.
- 29:04SPEAKER_02: Um and the Browns D's actually been okay, so that's not gonna help the Cardinals very much either.
- 29:11SPEAKER_02: I just expect this to be a low-scoring game and pretty messy, too.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, actually, the Browns D has been number one in the league.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: They've been really good.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, they definitely uh, you're right.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: They were starting a rookie in Arizona, so Kyler Murray's not coming back.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Um, Browns, you don't know what they're gonna be doing.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: Um, but they uh, you know, who knows?
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe they could do the score high.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: Who knows what to expect from them?
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: Uh, but my cold call last week was actually right on the money.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: I had the Battle of New York B.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Uh I had the Jets versus the Giants, and that was an ugly game.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: I had a feeling it was gonna be rainy, and it was a uh absolute shit show, and that's exactly what it was.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: It was 10-13, uh, most boring, uneventful game ever.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: And I mean, there was even a bad call.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I even I even told people like at the end of the game, New York Jacks were driving at the end of that game.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: They Zach Wilson threw a pass, put him in field goal range.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: New York Jets were able to spot their own ball.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: They didn't even give the ball to the ref.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: The the wide receiver handed the ball to the center, the center spotted it, and the ref came up and was gonna go grab the ball, and he just said, fuck it, left the ball there, and then and then they they were able to get a spike off after passing the ball for 30 yards.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: They were able to get set the ball down and spike it within three seconds.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: So, like if anybody watches that highlight, you know, and if you don't believe me, go back and watch the replay of that full game, not the Kaz version, go back to the end of that game before the end of regulation, and you will see that they were able to spot their own ball, and the ref came up after the player handed the ball to his own teammate, and they were able to uh spike the ball afterwards.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: So, and that's a rule.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: After you catch the ball, the ref have to spot it, yeah.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: And then the center could grab it, and then you could spike it.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: So, you know why?
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: Because they wanted to take the game to overtime.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: So I don't know what the spread was for that or what had to be hit.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: I didn't review it, but for some reason it had to be another possession had to be taken in that game.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: So, but anyways, um again, sidetracked over here.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: I like to get on my rants over here and uh make sure people are aware of the events that transpired in these NFL games being fixed.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: Um but this week's goal call is gonna be another New York team.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: The New York Giants are playing the the Oakland, the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Uh so Giants again, crap show.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: Darren Waller hurt his hamstring again.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: So now it's gonna be Saquon Barkley going against the new Raiders, who are you know now interim head coach Antonio Pierce.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: He used to be the linebacker for the Giants, right?
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: Uh being taken over.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: They fired Josh McDaniels, they fired the GM.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: So it's a whole new team.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: Who knows what the identity is going to be?
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: Um, maybe they're gonna be a defensive identity.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: Maybe they play the Giants tough.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: The Giants might play them tough.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: Um Saquon may play.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: It's just gonna be an absolute dump, dumpster fire.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: Like, who knows what this game is gonna be like?
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: Um, who knows what it's gonna how they're gonna perform.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: They're gonna start Aiden O'Connor at quarterback.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: Uh, they even fired offensive coordinator two for the Raiders, you know.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: So there's they completely cleaned house for that team, which means there's probably a new defensive coordinator, which is gonna be Antonio Pierce is probably gonna be calling the defensive plays because he went from uh he was the defensive, he was the defense, he was he wasn't even the defensive coordinator.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: I think he was like the linebackers coach, and he became the interim head coach.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: So it was a completely new overhaul of that team.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: So I just don't want anything to do with that game.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna stay far, far away from it, and I'm not gonna play any players with maybe the exception of Saquon Barkley off that game.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: What about you, Joe?
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, I agree with that.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: I um kind of the same thing.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: Uh, as I was just saying, there's a lot of moving pieces right now, there are a lot of things up in the air, you know.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: With my cold call, it's the same same idea.
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: There's a lot going on with the Raiders right now, and it doesn't look good, you know.
- 33:34SPEAKER_02: Uh, new coach, what's going on with Devonta?
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: Um, and besides Saquon, who got like 40 touches last week, I wouldn't start anyone with with confidence.
- 33:48SPEAKER_02: I guess if I had Jacoby Myers or I had Devontae Adams, and um usually if you got those guys, you probably don't have someone better that you can plug in there, but that's gonna be a tough one, you know, to play to play them.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: You're gonna be holding your breath.
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: But uh yeah, Saquon, you start obviously.
- 34:10SPEAKER_02: Other than that, I wouldn't start anybody.
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: I'd stay far away from this game.
- 34:13SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, just with all that that big mess going on in Vegas, I uh I don't know what to expect with that offense.
- 34:23SPEAKER_02: I am playing the Raiders D in a couple leagues just because um I expect this game uh you know to be very weak offensively, and they they seem kind of like a safe play.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: Hope you brought your spoons, boys and girls.
- 34:49SPEAKER_01: It's time for them mud pies.
- 34:53SPEAKER_01: It's time for this week's shit call of the week.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: Joe.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: I am hungry.
- 34:59SPEAKER_02: I am hungry afterwards.
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: I've got your shit call last week, bud.
- 35:02SPEAKER_02: I have a nice big pile of shit to eat, and I touched on it uh just a few minutes ago.
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: Um, I said the Falcons and Titans would be a low-scoring defensive battle because they're both struggling offensively.
- 35:15SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, I benched DeAndre Hopkins in a couple leagues.
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: I said not to expect much from either team on offense, and I also mentioned how they both have pretty respectable defense.
- 35:28SPEAKER_02: Um, but the game went for over 50 points.
- 35:31SPEAKER_02: So, you know, my original cold call that I discussed offline is what I should have stuck with, and that was the Texans and the Panthers, which had a total of 28 points.
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: Um, but you know, logic told me that uh the Falcons and Titans would be a very low-scoring affair.
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: And uh, you know, as DeAndre Hopkins was sitting on the pine in two of my leagues, he had four catches for like 130 yards, I think it was 128 yards, and um three touchdowns.
- 36:04SPEAKER_02: And Levis, I think that's how you say his name, looked awesome.
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: I picked him up in a couple leagues and he's sitting on my bench just to see if if he continues doing that, because that that shocked everybody.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: He looked awesome.
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: I hope he continues down that road.
- 36:19SPEAKER_02: Uh but I said to stay far away from that game.
- 36:23SPEAKER_02: I did not have confidence in anyone, even I didn't even really have much confidence in uh Derrick Henry.
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: Uh, but he looked great, and um the Titans offense looked looked very good, and um the Falcons looked okay too.
- 36:39SPEAKER_02: So I was wrong about that.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: That was my shit call.
- 36:43SPEAKER_02: Nice big heaping plate of shit for me, and I had to swallow it down.
- 36:53SPEAKER_02: What about you?
- 36:53SPEAKER_02: What was your shit call from last week?
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: Well, Joe, my shit call from last week.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: I picked the um Bears and Chargers games as like the um the high scoring game of the week.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: Obviously, the Chargers went off, they they were scoring points, but Bears were not good at all.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: Like I I yeah, I was on the badgeant hype train, not so much, but I thought, you know, obviously Bears are gonna score more points.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, Bears ended up firing their running back coach, but they are just so inconsistent, man.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Like, I you cannot like you figured they ride their hot hand from the week before.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: I mean, Dante Foreman had two rushing touchdowns and a and a receiving touchdown a week before, and and what they did, they ended up giving him nine carries the next week, and he didn't have like 50 yards all-purpose yards.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: Rashawn Johnson had six carries the next week.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: He didn't even have 20 yards, and neither of them had a touchdown.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: Like, it was just a complete dumpster fire.
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: And the Chargers aren't even known for the rush defense, like, and they could not get anything going on the ground, and and they could have kept the game close, but they just had a horrible play calling.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: Like, and just the fact that I trusted the Bears to at least put together a consistent game plan and actually put up some points was my bad to even consider them.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: And I and I I have a friend who's uh who's a hardcore Bears fan or a Chicago fan, and he I'd always ask him, Hey man, like uh you watching the Bears?
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: And he's like, No, I'm a I'm a Blackhawks fan because he's like every time I watch the Bears, they just always, you know, they make it real easy to switch over to hockey season after like the first couple of months.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: They're just so disappointing.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: Like that's and and he'll try to cheer for them, but that's just what it is.
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: They just find a way to break your heart and just not be consistent.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: So um that was my true man.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: They are they are very, very inconsistent, and there's high hopes.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: Uh going into this speed, I mean, last season too, but especially going into this season, there were very high hopes.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: You know, they just feed DJ Moore.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: That guy's so freaking amazing.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: Feed him, design plays for him.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: Why are you not right at giving him more wide receiver screens, more reverses?
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: Why are you not consistently having him in your game plans?
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: Like, what the hell is wrong with you?
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's hard to explain.
- 39:22SPEAKER_02: And you know, as a Steelers fan, I I'm asking myself a lot of the same questions when I'm watching their games, just what's going on here.
- 39:29SPEAKER_02: But yeah, that's what I was saying on Sunday, too.
- 39:31SPEAKER_02: You know, what's going on, especially with Dante, uh Dante Foreman, because um, you know, I picked him up in a bunch of leagues, and uh, I only I think I only played him in one, but I was pretty confident about that.
- 39:45SPEAKER_02: Even though Roshan was back, I thought, you know, after last week, they're gonna give him double-digit carries, no doubt, you know.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: But no, not at all.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: And you know, you brought up a funny point uh yesterday, uh, it was all over social media, but for uh the Pat McAfee show, um, you know how he has this whole crew of boys, uh, one of their Halloween costumes, one of the guys dressed up as Matt Canada the Devil.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: Did he read Matt Canada?
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he had the Matt Canada hat.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: Like his I think he wears like that Chinese style hat.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: He had like his Pittsburgh like long sleeve tee that he wears, a black long sleeve tee.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: And then he had like freaking his face painted red, and he had devil horns out of his hat.
- 40:35SPEAKER_01: Like it was awesome.
- 40:37SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna have to look it up.
- 40:39SPEAKER_02: I like that man looking at it.
- 40:40SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to check that out.
- 40:42SPEAKER_02: I didn't see it yesterday.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: Bro, you have to clip it, probably put it on this show or something, like right here for our viewers.
- 40:49SPEAKER_00: Like, that is so awesome.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: It is hilarious.
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was his uh Halloween costume.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: Like, the viewers have to see this.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: This is too good to pass up.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Matt Canada, the devil.
- 41:03SPEAKER_02: That's what a lot of people in Pittsburgh think, man.
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: It's tough.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness, it's a it's a whole movement.
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: If he if he doesn't get fired after this year, brother, like you have to free George Pickens, man.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: We thought it was happening last year.
- 41:17SPEAKER_02: It's our it's yeah, I don't know, man.
- 41:19SPEAKER_02: He's uh he's become a meme.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, but yeah, that's that's too funny, man.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: Too funny.
- 41:40SPEAKER_02: All right, boys and girls.
- 41:41SPEAKER_02: It's time to let him drop.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: It's the big balls call the week.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: Not not girls, though, just boys.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: Oh no, it's 2023, man, and girls can have balls too.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: You you can be born with them.
- 41:59SPEAKER_02: Um, so who's your big balls call of the week?
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: So the last two weeks, I've been on a roll, and you count them.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: I said two weeks ago, I said Jameer Gibbs was gonna have his breakout game, and he did.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: And last week, I mean, I wasn't 100% on, but I was on.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: I said he was gonna have a big game.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: I said he was gonna have a big game over 100 rushing yards, two touchdowns.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: He had almost 200 rushing yards and a touchdown in a touchdown, almost two.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: It was a huge game for him.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: And now I'm gonna keep riding that train here, and it is the Detroit bye week, but Detroit is going into the bye week.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: David Montgomery is gonna be coming back, and they just traded for Donovan Peoples Jones.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: So people are wondering, is Detroit gonna go more past happy now that Donovan Peoples Jones is on the team now?
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: And the answer is no.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: So now Jameer Gibbs is finally really developed, he's up to game speed, he's what they want him to be in then some, right?
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: So now what's happening?
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: They finally got their big body blocking receiver.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: So now Detroit's gonna become the most run-heavy team in the league, just like they were last year.
- 43:10SPEAKER_00: They got the personnel that they want.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: Jameson Williams is not really the uh developing the way they want, so they're gonna give them some more time.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: And Jerry Goff is not really the deep passing guy they want.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: Uh the or that or develop into the guy they need to.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: So, what they're gonna do is they're gonna run the ball a whole lot more than they use than they want to.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: So that game three, when David Montgomery got those 32 carries in a game, you're probably gonna see a heavy workload of like 20 to 25 carries for Montgomery and like 10 to 15 carries for Jameer Gibbs with like five to eight receptions.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: And you're gonna see Detroit just run the ball down the down people's throats, and you're gonna see a lot of Donovan Peoples Jones pass, you know, uh running formations, you know, maybe some Amon Ross and Brown passing formations, but you're probably if I think that Detroit receivers are gonna take a little bit of a dip and they're gonna be running some big formations because they have Laporta, you know, they have those big bodies, so you're not gonna see as many passing formations as they used to.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: So my big my big ball's call is when Detroit comes back, they're gonna become the most run-heavy team in the league.
- 44:19SPEAKER_00: So obviously, this is not gonna be a one-week thing, this is gonna be a consistent week in, week out thing.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: Uh, but I'm calling this now before people come back and start hopping on this hype train, and um, and you're gonna see them end up as a top rushing offense in the league.
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: So I'm putting that out there in the universe now.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: What about you, Joe?
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: What's your big balls call a week?
- 44:39SPEAKER_02: Well, I do like that call uh that you had, and that would be great to see a two-headed monster with Montgomery and Gibbs getting like 20 carries each.
- 44:50SPEAKER_02: Uh, and I still think they're gonna feed Laporta and St.
- 44:53SPEAKER_02: Brown plenty, so let don't worry about that.
- 44:57SPEAKER_02: But my big balls call of the week, I believe, based on one of my hot matchups, uh, that in the Miami and Kansas City game, Rasheed Rice is going to have over 100 receiving yards.
- 45:16SPEAKER_02: I just feel like he's been very, very consistent and he's hovering probably around like 60, he's probably averaging about 60 yards per game, give or take.
- 45:28SPEAKER_02: And um I could see that this being the game where he eclipses 100 just just based on the matchup and um the game speed, it's probably gonna be very offensive, as we said, and uh just a really good setup for him to get more targets and more yardage that uh could easily top 100.
- 45:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely see that.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: Could be his breakout game for sure.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: And hopefully a touchdown, too, which could be baked right into the cake.
- 46:07SPEAKER_02: All right, everybody.
- 46:08SPEAKER_02: Thank you for tuning in this week.
