- 0:00Speaker 1: Have an idea for the show? Today's your day. Use
- 0:03Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app and talk back to us right now.
- 0:08Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 0:09Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich. Peyton, what are you working on?
- 0:11Speaker 3: Well, apparently the post-breakup glow-up is real. So basically, like,
- 0:15Speaker 3: if you leave your man, you're going to get way hotter.
- 0:17Speaker 3: And there's scientific, like, there's proof. Psychologists and aesthetic experts
- 0:21Speaker 3: believe are saying that this can be emotional and physical.
- 0:24Speaker 4: So I was like, this is actually kind of tea.
- 0:26Speaker 2: The pose to break up, glow up. So you break
- 0:29Speaker 2: up and you get really good looking.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Exactly. This is why.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Because your stress can go down. So less relationship stress
- 0:35Speaker 3: can mean lower cortisol levels. You may start sleeping better,
- 0:38Speaker 3: which obviously, I mean, we say it all the time, sleep,
- 0:41Speaker 3: it heals all. Less inflammation, it means your skin's gonna
- 0:44Speaker 3: start looking better, your circulation, your hair.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Is gonna grow.
- 0:47Speaker 3: But the biggest thing is that you start focusing on
- 0:50Speaker 3: yourself again. So once you start focusing on yourself and
- 0:52Speaker 3: putting that energy into you, all of the things in
- 0:54Speaker 3: your life are gonna come right back.
- 0:56Speaker 4: And you're just gonna be hotter than everyone.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Wasn't that, was it Khloe Kardashian? Did something like that
- 1:01Speaker 2: happen to her? Was it a TV show she had?
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 2: She did it, right? It was a TV show?
- 1:04Speaker 4: It was like something revenge, but revenge body.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Revenge body. Oh, that's cool.
- 1:09Speaker 3: See, but that's so valid though, because sometimes it's like,
- 1:12Speaker 3: you do just need to lose that man.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Sometimes he is really draining the life out of you.
- 1:17Speaker 5: You know what?
- 1:18Speaker 6: Hold on a second.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Joanna, you got a post-glow up story?
- 1:20Speaker 7: I do.
- 1:23Speaker 8: So it's kind of a long one, so I greatly apologize.
- 1:25Speaker 9: It's okay.
- 1:26Speaker 8: Um, So last year I got broken up with and
- 1:29Speaker 8: I kind of like lost myself with my friends and
- 1:32Speaker 8: making new people because I'm kind of an outgoing person.
- 1:35Speaker 8: And so anyways, I went to this concert and met
- 1:39Speaker 8: this guy named Austin Martin. He's like a kind of
- 1:41Speaker 8: like a famous singer or whatever and listened to his
- 1:43Speaker 8: music for years. Well, after that.
- 1:48Speaker 8: I went to another concert of his that actually got canceled.
- 1:51Speaker 8: And there I had met a girl, like a 16-year-old
- 1:54Speaker 8: girl or whatever. And she saw my shirt of his.
- 1:59Speaker 8: And she was like, oh, my God, I know that song.
- 2:00Speaker 8: So then, like, I gave her the shirt and posted
- 2:03Speaker 8: about it and Austin had shared it. Well, then I've
- 2:05Speaker 8: been kind of like on his radar. And then for
- 2:08Speaker 8: some reason we became friends. And so because of him,
- 2:11Speaker 8: I ended up making other friends in Billings, Montana. And
- 2:15Speaker 8: like this vibe marketing place, like we're all friends, a
- 2:18Speaker 8: bunch of rappers, a bunch of comedians. And so like
- 2:21Speaker 8: we all just became these friends. And now often I've
- 2:25Speaker 8: been invited to his album release party. I actually got
- 2:28Speaker 8: to go to. back in June. And then I actually
- 2:34Speaker 8: got to go up to see him this weekend. And
- 2:36Speaker 8: he's actually coming to my town in a few weeks.
- 2:38Speaker 8: And he's coming and celebrating his album with all of
- 2:41Speaker 8: us and partying with me and all my friends. So
- 2:43Speaker 8: it's been kind of cool. He's really fun and interesting.
- 2:46Speaker 8: But all because of the breakup, I decided to go
- 2:49Speaker 8: out and start doing concerts again. And then I made
- 2:52Speaker 8: friends with him and some of his friends. And now
- 2:54Speaker 8: we're all friends.
- 2:55Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I keep trying to Google him. All I can find
- 2:58Speaker 2: is the car, Aston Martin.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Oh, that's nice, too. She's friends with the car.
- 3:01Speaker 8: No, it's Aston Martin, Montana. His hit song is called Wrangler,
- 3:07Speaker 8: and he actually did a remix with Chingy. Chingy went
- 3:09Speaker 8: to Billings, Montana and did the music video with him.
- 3:12Speaker 8: So it's actually really cool to get to meet him
- 3:17Speaker 8: or whatever. And his album just came out this year.
- 3:19Speaker 8: It's called Yellowstone County, which is what Billings, Montana is.
- 3:23Speaker 6: Is it country? What is it? What kind of music?
- 3:27Speaker 8: It's country rap is what they put.
- 3:28Speaker 6: Country rap.
- 3:31Speaker 2: It looks like he's a jelly roll type of guy.
- 3:34Speaker 8: Kind of, yeah. And it's really good. Like I said,
- 3:38Speaker 8: his hit song is Wrangler. And that's what was written
- 3:40Speaker 8: on my sweater that I met this 16-year-old girl wearing.
- 3:44Speaker 8: In like Omaha, Nebraska. And I went to go to
- 3:47Speaker 8: a different concert to visit somebody else. And she was like,
- 3:50Speaker 8: she started reading the lyrics that he wrote on the back.
- 3:52Speaker 8: And she was like, take off these Wrangler jeans. And
- 3:55Speaker 8: I laughed because I turned around because I'm like, oh
- 3:57Speaker 8: my God, somebody knows who Austin is. And I turn
- 4:00Speaker 8: around and she's like screaming with joy. She's like, oh
- 4:03Speaker 8: my God, that's an Austin Martin shirt. She's like, have
- 4:05Speaker 8: you seen him in concert? I was like, absolutely have.
- 4:07Speaker 11: I was like, he's amazing.
- 4:09Speaker 8: He's actually a really sweet person to talk to. You know,
- 4:11Speaker 8: he grew up on his parents' ranch. So like he
- 4:15Speaker 8: kind of grew up with those cowboy roots. And her
- 4:18Speaker 8: and I talked for hours. I mean, this poor girl,
- 4:20Speaker 8: she was 16. She was super excited. And she always
- 4:24Speaker 8: wanted to see him in concert. So I went to
- 4:25Speaker 8: my hotel room, changed out of that sweater and gave
- 4:28Speaker 8: her the sweater. And so I posted about it, and
- 4:31Speaker 8: Austin actually shared it, and then I was kind of
- 4:35Speaker 8: on his radar about it.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Now you told us this already.
- 4:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 11: And it was really fun.
- 4:40Speaker 8: And it was just really cool. And then, like I said,
- 4:41Speaker 8: we just became friends from that.
- 4:43Speaker 13: Sorry.
- 4:44Speaker 2: No, that's good.
- 4:44Speaker 6: That's good. I love that. That's cool.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I thought, oh, my God, I feel so when you
- 4:48Speaker 2: said you feel sorry for the 15 year old. So
- 4:49Speaker 2: did I. I thought you were starting to tell her
- 4:50Speaker 2: over and over again that you're going to go get it.
- 4:52Speaker 6: That's what I do.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Wait right here. Wait here in the lobby. I'm going
- 4:54Speaker 2: to get this winner. Wait right here. Wait right here
- 4:55Speaker 2: in the lobby. Austin's a friend of mine.
- 4:57Speaker 7: Hold on.
- 4:57Speaker 2: That's awesome. Joanna, thanks for calling in. Thanks for listening.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Have a great day.
- 5:01Speaker 14: Thank you.
- 5:02Speaker 5: OK, you too.
- 5:03Speaker 15: Bye.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Ari, you have a post breakup glow up story. Am
- 5:08Speaker 2: I right?
- 5:09Speaker 7: I so do.
- 5:10Speaker 2: What happened?
- 5:12Speaker 16: Okay.
- 5:12Speaker 17: So my breakup glow up was actually disrespectful.
- 5:18Speaker 14: So I was with.
- 5:19Speaker 7: This man for three years and I was.
- 5:21Speaker 17: Looking tired, right? I, I had gained like 20 pounds.
- 5:27Speaker 17: I stopped doing my hair. I like lived in his oversized.
- 5:31Speaker 7: T-shirts all the time, like the whole thing.
- 5:33Speaker 11: And when he dumped.
- 5:34Speaker 7: Me, he said he needed to go find himself.
- 5:38Speaker 17: So apparently I found myself too because six months later,
- 5:44Speaker 17: I'm down 25 pounds. I got my teeth fixed. I
- 5:48Speaker 17: started Pilates and I got promoted.
- 5:51Speaker 18: And my skin cleared up too.
- 5:52Speaker 15: Wow.
- 5:54Speaker 6: Man, he was really sucking the life out of you.
- 5:57Speaker 10: I know.
- 5:58Speaker 19: That's what I said.
- 5:59Speaker 17: I mean, he slid into my DMs last week, actually,
- 6:02Speaker 17: and he was like, oh, my God, you look amazing.
- 6:05Speaker 20: And I said, thank you.
- 6:06Speaker 17: It turns out I was allergic to you.
- 6:08Speaker 11: And then I blocked him.
- 6:09Speaker 2: What was that when you say you got your teeth fixed?
- 6:12Speaker 2: What was it? What kind of teeth did you have?
- 6:13Speaker 2: Did they go buck teeth, giant teeth?
- 6:16Speaker 8: I had some severe buck teeth.
- 6:18Speaker 16: Wow.
- 6:18Speaker 2: You think he told his friends? You guys have a
- 6:20Speaker 2: nickname for you behind your back? Did you guys see
- 6:22Speaker 2: Buck Teeth?
- 6:23Speaker 21: Oh, I hope.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. Buck Teeth got her teeth fixed.
- 6:25Speaker 21: No way.
- 6:25Speaker 2: She looks so hot. She lost three pounds. Look at
- 6:27Speaker 2: Buck Teeth. He's showing all his friends pictures of you.
- 6:29Speaker 2: They're like, wow, man, you screwed that up. You need
- 6:31Speaker 2: to get back with Buck Teeth.
- 6:31Speaker 22: I know.
- 6:32Speaker 23: He screwed it up now.
- 6:33Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:34Speaker 22: All right.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Well, congratulations.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Crazy cool. Good job, girl.
- 6:37Speaker 2: We might give you tickets to Austin. What's his name?
- 6:40Speaker 4: Austin Martin Montana.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Austin Martin Montana for you. You can hang out with Joanna.
- 6:44Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:45Speaker 22: All right.
- 6:45Speaker 15: Hold on.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Thanks for calling in. It's John Jane Rich. Hey, dummy,
- 6:49Speaker 2: if you.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Get three roses, it's a trap. War of the Roses
- 6:54Speaker 1: starts right now on John Jay and Rich.
- 6:57Speaker 2: All right, it's time for War of the Roses. Good morning, Denise.
- 7:00Speaker 7: Hi there.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Who do you think's cheating on you?
- 7:03Speaker 7: Well.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Um, I don't know.
- 7:06Speaker 10: I guess I think that my dog.
- 7:09Speaker 16: Just exposed my husband.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Oh, so you think your husband's cheating on you?
- 7:15Speaker 16: Yep.
- 7:15Speaker 9: Yep.
- 7:16Speaker 10: I'm literally, I'm literally on my way home from the
- 7:20Speaker 10: emergency vet because our puppy just ate something and like
- 7:25Speaker 10: they had to make him throw it up. And it
- 7:28Speaker 10: was literally a song.
- 7:30Speaker 22: Wow.
- 7:31Speaker 10: And it's definitely not mine.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Ew.
- 7:36Speaker 10: I'm, like, really tiny, and this underwear was, like, huge. Like,
- 7:41Speaker 10: super large, and there.
- 7:42Speaker 25: Was, like.
- 7:42Speaker 10: There's literally, like, no universe where he can convince me
- 7:47Speaker 10: that it belongs to me. And my husband was.
- 7:50Speaker 8: He was home alone with the dog yesterday while I
- 7:53Speaker 8: was at.
- 7:53Speaker 10: Work, so now I'm just, like, here thinking.
- 7:57Speaker 10: Okay, like, whose big ass was in my house, and
- 8:00Speaker 10: why did my dog have to be the one to
- 8:02Speaker 10: tell me? Like, we've been married for 10 years, and
- 8:06Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 8:07Speaker 6: And no house guests have been over and stayed over
- 8:10Speaker 6: or anything like that?
- 8:12Speaker 25: No, no.
- 8:14Speaker 7: Weird.
- 8:16Speaker 6: That's going to be hard to explain.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Sounds like, well, sounds like there was a house guest.
- 8:21Speaker 26: I'm trying to think of, like, is there any other
- 8:24Speaker 26: possible explanation, like, Do you have weird neighbors that like
- 8:27Speaker 26: to throw their thongs in.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Your yard and maybe your puppy.
- 8:29Speaker 6: Went out back?
- 8:30Speaker 2: Or maybe your husband's a cross-dresser and it's his underwear.
- 8:33Speaker 27: Oh.
- 8:35Speaker 28: I wouldn't even be surprised if he did something shady.
- 8:38Speaker 11: He's like, he's just, yeah, he's a lot.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Okay, well, let me give you the positive of this.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Because as someone who has a dog rescue, our Love
- 8:46Speaker 2: Pup Foundation, most of these situations end up with massive
- 8:51Speaker 2: surgery on the dog to get the item out. And
- 8:53Speaker 2: so you just got it lucky that the dog got
- 8:55Speaker 2: to cough up these massive pair of underwear out of
- 8:58Speaker 2: the puppy's throat. Because normally it's a $ 10, 000 surgery. We
- 9:02Speaker 2: had some neighbors had to deal with that.
- 9:03Speaker 22: We had to help.
- 9:03Speaker 2: It was so expensive to operate, to take out a sock.
- 9:06Speaker 7: Yes.
- 9:07Speaker 6: That happened to my in-laws, too.
- 9:09Speaker 2: To take out a thong. Like, my God. And not
- 9:11Speaker 2: only that, it's a big thong. Thong, thong, thong, thong.
- 9:15Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 16: This is just crazy.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Okay. So what is your husband's name?
- 9:20Speaker 7: Charlie.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Okay. So you want us to call Charlie and we're
- 9:23Speaker 2: going to find out who he sends romantic flowers to.
- 9:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 2: And you have zero clue. It's not a friend of yours.
- 9:30Speaker 2: You see nothing else. We're just going to call the
- 9:32Speaker 2: dude up, and hopefully he says, send him to Denise.
- 9:34Speaker 11: Well, no one has been to our house for.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Like eight years. That's so weird.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Yeah, which is why I'm banking on the weird neighbor
- 9:40Speaker 3: throwing songs into the background.
- 9:42Speaker 6: Let's hope so.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Because I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster you're going
- 9:45Speaker 3: through with your pup and then this.
- 9:47Speaker 2: All right, Denise, hold on a line. We will get
- 9:49Speaker 2: Charlie on the phone and see who he's going to
- 9:51Speaker 2: send romantic flowers to. War of the Roses continues next
- 9:54Speaker 2: with John Jay and Rich.
- 9:55Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 9:56Speaker 2: All right, we're in the middle of War of the Roses.
- 9:59Speaker 2: You got Denise, who currently is driving home from the
- 10:01Speaker 2: vet because they had to have their dog vomit up something,
- 10:07Speaker 2: and it was a pair of underwear. It was thong underwear,
- 10:10Speaker 2: not Denise's. It was very large thong underwear, right, Denise?
- 10:15Speaker 16: Yeah, it was huge.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Which, I mean, obviously that bothers you.
- 10:20Speaker 11: And I mean, it's just not mine.
- 10:22Speaker 22: Right.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Which would bother anyone.
- 10:26Speaker 6: I'm really glad you called us because we have to
- 10:28Speaker 6: get to the bottom.
- 10:28Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 2: You ready, Kyle?
- 10:29Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm ready.
- 10:30Speaker 5: All right.
- 10:30Speaker 2: We're calling her husband, Charlie. We're going to find out
- 10:32Speaker 2: who he's going to send a flower to.
- 10:34Speaker 7: Hello.
- 10:41Speaker 27: Hi there.
- 10:42Speaker 6: Is Charlie available?
- 10:45Speaker 5: Yes, speaking.
- 10:46Speaker 22: Oh, perfect.
- 10:46Speaker 15: Hi.
- 10:47Speaker 26: So my name is Sadie. You're like, who are you?
- 10:50Speaker 26: I'm calling from a new company. We're called J &
- 10:51Speaker 26: R Flowers. This is actually a really cool thing for you, Charlie.
- 10:56Speaker 26: You have been chosen to be a micro-influencer for us.
- 10:59Speaker 26: And if you're wondering what that means, I will tell you.
- 11:01Speaker 26: That means you get to send our beautiful bouquet of
- 11:05Speaker 26: roses that is super romantic. It's our pure passion bouquet.
- 11:08Speaker 26: And you get to send it totally free. And we're
- 11:09Speaker 26: kind of just hoping that you post about us on
- 11:11Speaker 26: whichever social media platform you use the most. So we're
- 11:14Speaker 26: We get a little bit of marketing out of it
- 11:15Speaker 26: and you get to surprise someone special.
- 11:17Speaker 9: I didn't sign up for anything.
- 11:18Speaker 12: I know.
- 11:19Speaker 26: That's why it's actually really cool because if you signed up,
- 11:21Speaker 26: then you have to paperwork and all that stuff. But
- 11:24Speaker 26: we don't really need any paperwork. I don't need any
- 11:26Speaker 26: credit card information or anything like that. We really are
- 11:29Speaker 26: just kind of hoping you help spread the word.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Okay, I'm in a little bit of a rush.
- 11:34Speaker 22: Perfect.
- 11:35Speaker 26: We can get this done really quickly. It is a
- 11:37Speaker 26: dozen long stem red roses. We're going to send them
- 11:39Speaker 26: out with a card. You let me know the message
- 11:41Speaker 26: you want on the card, and then we'll talk name
- 11:42Speaker 26: and address. I'll give you a time they're sent out,
- 11:44Speaker 26: and we can be done.
- 11:46Speaker 25: Okay, so you don't need any of my information? You
- 11:48Speaker 25: don't need my credit.
- 11:49Speaker 21: Card or anything?
- 11:50Speaker 26: No, and I'm actually ready for that message. If you
- 11:53Speaker 26: want to get moving, we can speed it up.
- 11:55Speaker 25: Okay, and I don't have to give my address? It's
- 11:58Speaker 25: just Free Flowers Anonymous?
- 12:01Speaker 6: Yeah, no address.
- 12:04Speaker 25: Yeah, okay.
- 12:06Speaker 7: Sure.
- 12:07Speaker 25: Could you make it up to Maya, please?
- 12:11Speaker 4: What would you like to say in that message?
- 12:14Speaker 25: Just put, can't stop thinking about you.
- 12:17Speaker 26: Can't stop thinking about you to Maya.
- 12:20Speaker 18: I'm sorry.
- 12:22Speaker 10: Charlie, who the hell is Maya? Denise?
- 12:29Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 22: Denise, is that you?
- 12:30Speaker 6: What are you doing?
- 12:33Speaker 10: I called John Jay and Rich. What are you doing?
- 12:36Speaker 10: Because I'm literally sitting here listening to my husband send
- 12:39Speaker 10: flowers to another woman.
- 12:40Speaker 22: Wait, wait, wait.
- 12:43Speaker 10: At the emergency vet because our dog ate her thong.
- 12:49Speaker 25: What are you talking about? Okay, I'm sorry, Denise. What is, I, I,
- 12:56Speaker 25: what thong are you talking about?
- 12:57Speaker 7: Oh, you're confused?
- 12:58Speaker 11: Okay.
- 12:59Speaker 10: Well, they made our dog throw it up, Charlie. A
- 13:02Speaker 10: giant black thong came out of our dog. And unless
- 13:06Speaker 10: I magically grew an ass overnight, it is definitely not mine.
- 13:09Speaker 10: All right.
- 13:12Speaker 25: I have no idea, Denise, what you're talking about.
- 13:14Speaker 2: And it sounds like, I don't know.
- 13:17Speaker 25: It sounds like the dog got into something, but I
- 13:19Speaker 25: don't think.
- 13:21Speaker 7: Please.
- 13:22Speaker 21: Okay.
- 13:23Speaker 11: Why don't you just go ahead and explain Maya?
- 13:28Speaker 25: Maya is a friend from work, and, you know, I've
- 13:32Speaker 25: told you about Maya, right? Like, we get along, she's
- 13:34Speaker 25: been going through a lot of tough stuff, and this
- 13:36Speaker 25: week was particularly rough. Like, I literally was just talking
- 13:39Speaker 25: to Maya, and she's, like, crying to me, okay? And
- 13:43Speaker 25: she's having an extra rough week, and I was like, hey,
- 13:45Speaker 25: let me be a good co-worker. And she could use
- 13:49Speaker 25: this more than anyone else, right?
- 13:51Speaker 10: Right, so she's having a really rough week, and so
- 13:54Speaker 10: you just told them to write, can't stop thinking about you.
- 13:59Speaker 10: And so that makes sense to you?
- 14:00Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 23: That a co-worker would write that on a cookie card?
- 14:06Speaker 25: Well, yeah, it's like a joke because she's always, you know,
- 14:08Speaker 25: she's like, I'm like, hey, I got to get back
- 14:10Speaker 25: to work.
- 14:11Speaker 6: Sounds hilarious.
- 14:12Speaker 10: Are you kidding me? Why was another woman's underwear.
- 14:17Speaker 11: In my house?
- 14:18Speaker 25: You're making it sound way worse than it is. That's not,
- 14:21Speaker 25: I think you're jumping to conclusions and like, I don't know,
- 14:25Speaker 25: maybe she left them and it wasn't, like, it was
- 14:27Speaker 25: a completely accident.
- 14:27Speaker 9: Maybe she left them.
- 14:30Speaker 6: So you had Maya at the house?
- 14:31Speaker 25: That's not what I meant. That's not what I meant.
- 14:33Speaker 25: That's not what I meant.
- 14:34Speaker 1: No, you said that.
- 14:35Speaker 20: Wait, you literally said that?
- 14:36Speaker 27: Yeah, you did.
- 14:37Speaker 11: Yeah, you said that.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Hey, have we told you you were on the radio yet,
- 14:40Speaker 6: by the way?
- 14:40Speaker 2: She did. Oh, okay.
- 14:43Speaker 10: Okay, so this bitch has been in our house.
- 14:46Speaker 18: I said maybe.
- 14:47Speaker 25: That's not what I meant.
- 14:48Speaker 29: I meant maybe there's someone left in our house.
- 14:53Speaker 25: For all we know, we moved in, what, a few
- 14:56Speaker 25: years ago? There's still some stuff lying around here.
- 14:59Speaker 4: Charlie, I think it's time to come clean. You got
- 15:02Speaker 4: caught red-handed.
- 15:03Speaker 6: You're really reaching here.
- 15:05Speaker 10: So how long have you been sleeping with this bitch?
- 15:10Speaker 25: I'm not doing this with you. Listen.
- 15:13Speaker 10: Denise, I am not. Oh, my God.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Are you kidding me?
- 15:17Speaker 6: I don't want to do this on the radio, Denise.
- 15:20Speaker 7: You can set your side like an adult.
- 15:23Speaker 19: Oh, my God, Charlie.
- 15:25Speaker 20: It is on the radio.
- 15:27Speaker 25: And now I'm, like, fumbling in public. If you actually
- 15:30Speaker 25: talk to me like an adult, okay?
- 15:31Speaker 9: You know, because we can't have conflict, apparently.
- 15:35Speaker 25: You avoid every freaking, you know, conflict that we have.
- 15:38Speaker 12: Are you kidding me?
- 15:39Speaker 10: You're talking about avoiding i can't i can't do it
- 15:45Speaker 10: i can't do.
- 15:46Speaker 11: It i will talk to you about this not on
- 15:49Speaker 11: the radio okay how about that why would you humiliate me.
- 15:53Speaker 8: Please get the fuck off dude i don't.
- 15:58Speaker 9: Know why you're doing this.
- 16:00Speaker 5: To us this is ridiculous.
- 16:02Speaker 6: All right.
- 16:02Speaker 4: She's not doing anything.
- 16:04Speaker 10: Well, I guess we figured it out, so.
- 16:06Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Denise.
- 16:07Speaker 22: I'll talk to you later.
- 16:08Speaker 6: They didn't get thrown over the fence.
- 16:09Speaker 2: All right. So, Denise, but the dog's okay?
- 16:13Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 30: Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Okay.
- 16:15Speaker 22: All right.
- 16:15Speaker 2: The dog's Charlie. You didn't even check the dog.
- 16:17Speaker 11: I'm taking my dog.
- 16:18Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 16:18Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Take the dog.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:20Speaker 4: He's no good.
- 16:20Speaker 2: All right. Hold on a line. We see if we can. Well,
- 16:23Speaker 2: she seems to be a very strong woman.
- 16:25Speaker 6: Yeah, she is a good woman.
- 16:27Speaker 2: That's War of the Roses. That is War of the Roses.
- 16:30Speaker 2: War of the Roses.
- 16:31Speaker 1: With John Jay and Rich on 104.7 KISS FM. We
- 16:35Speaker 1: just want to hear from you, and I don't think
- 16:37Speaker 1: that's too much to ask, and it's really stressing me
- 16:39Speaker 1: out that you're not calling.
- 16:42Speaker 28: 877-937-1047.
- 16:42Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 16:46Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich, we want to know what's the
- 16:48Speaker 2: craziest thing your dog ate. Melissa, what did your dog eat?
- 16:52Speaker 11: So my dog, Max, is a little French bulldog. And
- 16:56Speaker 11: I gave him a T-bone with a little bit of
- 16:58Speaker 11: meat on it one day, just a regular-sized T-bone steak.
- 17:01Speaker 11: And this dog just swallowed a T-bone whole, like no chewing, nothing.
- 17:05Speaker 27: Dang.
- 17:06Speaker 9: Gulp it in one gulp.
- 17:08Speaker 11: And if you don't think it's possible, I didn't think
- 17:10Speaker 11: that either, and neither did the vet. But we saw
- 17:12Speaker 11: it on the x-ray, and he said, I've never seen
- 17:15Speaker 11: anything like this. It didn't perforate anything, no puncturing, and
- 17:19Speaker 11: it didn't require surgery. She just said... He's going to
- 17:22Speaker 11: break it down, hopefully. It'll just pass through and we'll
- 17:24Speaker 11: have no issues.
- 17:25Speaker 2: No way.
- 17:26Speaker 7: Wow.
- 17:27Speaker 2: No way. So the stomach acid broke down a T-bone?
- 17:30Speaker 22: Yep.
- 17:31Speaker 6: That's wild.
- 17:32Speaker 11: And I can't believe that it even went down his throat.
- 17:35Speaker 11: I don't even know how that is possible.
- 17:38Speaker 6: It's also weird because it's not like Max learned his lesson.
- 17:40Speaker 6: I mean, he's not going to do it any different
- 17:42Speaker 6: with the next T-bone.
- 17:44Speaker 11: Well, this is the sad part.
- 17:46Speaker 22: I don't know.
- 17:48Speaker 11: I ended up passing away last year from going through
- 17:51Speaker 11: my trash and ate all the tampon plastic applicators and
- 17:57Speaker 11: he couldn't help them from that point.
- 17:58Speaker 22: You know what?
- 17:59Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I have a list here. I have a list. He said,
- 18:03Speaker 2: what's the, it was on Reddit. What's the strangest thing
- 18:05Speaker 2: your dog's ever eaten? And tampons is number five on
- 18:07Speaker 2: that list. So you're not alone.
- 18:08Speaker 7: Really?
- 18:09Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 2: So Max was doing what he was supposed to do.
- 18:11Speaker 7: Weird.
- 18:11Speaker 6: And yeah, I don't know if he's supposed to do that.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Well, thanks for calling him.
- 18:16Speaker 6: Listen, sorry.
- 18:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:18Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 18:19Speaker 16: Have a good day, guys.
- 18:20Speaker 9: You too.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Good morning, Karen. Did your dog eat something strange?
- 18:24Speaker 21: Yeah, a scotch brite pad.
- 18:27Speaker 2: What's that?
- 18:28Speaker 4: To wash dishes, right?
- 18:29Speaker 21: Those things you scrub cast iron hands with.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Oh, the little metal things, the little round ball things
- 18:34Speaker 2: that are all, oh, I like those.
- 18:37Speaker 6: I mean, I wouldn't imagine that you'd do too much
- 18:39Speaker 6: of a good thing in your stomach, though, right?
- 18:42Speaker 5: No, it pretty much.
- 18:43Speaker 21: Clogged him up, and we couldn't figure out why he
- 18:46Speaker 21: wouldn't eat and why he couldn't poop. And he started
- 18:50Speaker 21: losing a lot of weight, and he was in the ER.
- 18:54Speaker 21: And finally, on the fifth day, they figured it out.
- 18:57Speaker 21: And they did an ultrasound, and there's the whole pet
- 19:01Speaker 21: right there in his belly.
- 19:03Speaker 2: You know, we've got to put out a warning, because
- 19:05Speaker 2: I don't want any social media influencers to say this
- 19:07Speaker 2: is a good way to lose weight now.
- 19:08Speaker 6: Yeah, that's true.
- 19:09Speaker 2: You eat one of those and then you get clogged up.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Because you've got to think, stuff still comes out. It
- 19:16Speaker 2: filters it.
- 19:17Speaker 21: It was having a hard time coming out, so they
- 19:20Speaker 21: actually cut him open almost from his neck down to
- 19:23Speaker 21: his whole underside and had to pull out every piece
- 19:28Speaker 21: in the intestines and cut out the pad, and then
- 19:31Speaker 21: put him back, and he was up and running around
- 19:34Speaker 21: the next day.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, dogs are amazing.
- 19:35Speaker 22: Oh, my gosh.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Well, thank you, Karen.
- 19:37Speaker 21: $ 5, 000 later.
- 19:37Speaker 6: Yeah, of course.
- 19:39Speaker 4: That's a price tag for sure.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Michelle, what did your dog eat that was strange?
- 19:43Speaker 18: Oh, my gosh. I left my phone on the table.
- 19:46Speaker 18: He's six months old, Cane Corso Mastiff, jumps up on
- 19:50Speaker 18: table when I wasn't looking. Ate the pop socket off
- 19:53Speaker 18: of the back of my cell phone and a ballpoint pen. Well,
- 19:59Speaker 18: that's dangerous. very dangerous i'm you know waiting for something
- 20:03Speaker 18: to happen to find it for him to act different
- 20:06Speaker 18: never did he's a normal dog eating drinking a month
- 20:10Speaker 18: later he throws up the pop.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Socket wow holy moly.
- 20:16Speaker 18: And it was like intact with a couple of marks
- 20:20Speaker 18: from his.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Teeth wow does it still work.
- 20:25Speaker 25: No.
- 20:27Speaker 18: I did have to throw the pop socket away.
- 20:29Speaker 6: You did get yourself a new pop socket. That's good.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Thanks, Michelle.
- 20:34Speaker 7: It's a beautiful dog.
- 20:37Speaker 6: Dogs like to get a taste for ballpoint pens, but
- 20:39Speaker 6: they won't eat like olives. That we stay away from.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Hannah, what did your dog eat?
- 20:45Speaker 23: My dog is a 35-pound shepherd mix, gray, one eye.
- 20:51Speaker 23: She's a total train wreck looking dog.
- 20:54Speaker 11: And not long.
- 20:54Speaker 23: After we adopted her, she got really sick, took her
- 20:58Speaker 23: to the vet. They looked and did an x-ray, and
- 21:00Speaker 23: they thought she had, like, fabric in her stomach. But
- 21:03Speaker 23: they wouldn't know until they finally did surgery. And when
- 21:06Speaker 23: they did, $ 6, 000 later, they found that she swallowed an
- 21:11Speaker 23: entire corn on the cob whole. And we don't even
- 21:15Speaker 23: know where she got it, but that's what she ate.
- 21:18Speaker 30: Wow.
- 21:18Speaker 4: You don't know where she got it?
- 21:19Speaker 2: I think I would have changed the shape of her body.
- 21:21Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 2: She's so tiny.
- 21:22Speaker 14: Wow.
- 21:24Speaker 23: Yeah, but that was like, do you guys want it?
- 21:26Speaker 23: Because it's like the most expensive corn on a cob ever.
- 21:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:30Speaker 11: But we didn't take it.
- 21:31Speaker 2: You can make it a necklace. All right. Thanks, Hannah.
- 21:34Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 2: By the way, this is a good opportunity for me
- 21:37Speaker 2: to tell you, like a lot of stuff happens with Blake,
- 21:39Speaker 2: my wife, because we run the Love Pup Dog Rescue
- 21:41Speaker 2: and people always call her and ask her for advice.
- 21:42Speaker 2: My dog just ate this. What do I do? And
- 21:44Speaker 2: then she has all these tips and then her and
- 21:46Speaker 2: my sister create an app called Love Pup Plus, and
- 21:49Speaker 2: you can download it. It's in the app store for
- 21:51Speaker 2: both phones, iPhones and Samsungs. Love Pup Plus, and it's
- 21:55Speaker 2: totally free, and you register your dog in there, and
- 21:57Speaker 2: then you can ask it anything, and it'll tell you,
- 21:59Speaker 2: my dog just ate a T-bone, what do I do?
- 22:01Speaker 2: And it will tell you what to do. Becky, good morning,
- 22:03Speaker 2: what'd your dog eat?
- 22:04Speaker 13: I had a 75-pound basset hound that basset hounds, their
- 22:13Speaker 13: nose gets them into trouble.
- 22:16Speaker 12: And three children under eight that got a hold of a,
- 22:22Speaker 12: back in the day, the old mouse for your computers
- 22:26Speaker 12: had tracking balls.
- 22:28Speaker 2: I have one right here.
- 22:28Speaker 12: That thought it was a hoarder. and $ 5, 000 later.
- 22:33Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 6: That seems to be the going rate to get something
- 22:35Speaker 6: out of your dog's stomach, at least.
- 22:37Speaker 30: $ 5, 000.
- 22:37Speaker 2: That's why I was blown away by the T-bone call,
- 22:40Speaker 2: that they didn't take that out, especially the vet. That's
- 22:42Speaker 2: a good vet because you think the vet would be like,
- 22:43Speaker 2: I can make some money. Let me take that T-bone out. Amanda,
- 22:45Speaker 2: what did your dog eat?
- 22:47Speaker 7: Well, I don't even know where to start. He's eaten
- 22:51Speaker 7: so much. His name is Tragan. He's a chocolate lab.
- 22:55Speaker 7: And it probably started with the candy canes literally off
- 22:58Speaker 7: of the Christmas tree. So my daughter made him.
- 23:01Speaker 5: A shaming sign.
- 23:03Speaker 7: He took batteries and brought them back to his kennel
- 23:08Speaker 7: and almost burnt our house down. I mean, I don't
- 23:10Speaker 7: know why a dog would chew a battery. He then...
- 23:15Speaker 7: One Thanksgiving, ate half of our Thanksgiving turkey. We had,
- 23:19Speaker 7: you know, sliced it, served it at the table. And
- 23:22Speaker 7: unbeknownst to.
- 23:22Speaker 29: About, I don't know, eight of us, nine of us,
- 23:24Speaker 29: he's behind us eating the other half of the turkey.
- 23:28Speaker 7: He pulled a bag of flour down, tried to eat flour.
- 23:31Speaker 7: I think that was the picture I posted.
- 23:33Speaker 6: He's got horrible snack taste.
- 23:36Speaker 7: He's eaten butter, like literally a stick of butter.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I've had that.
- 23:40Speaker 4: I can't blame him for that.
- 23:42Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 23:43Speaker 7: Bagels.
- 23:44Speaker 6: I can't even.
- 23:45Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 23:46Speaker 5: So many things.
- 23:46Speaker 2: OK, but that's not strange. Those are food items. We're
- 23:49Speaker 2: looking for strange things. Tim, what did your dog eat
- 23:52Speaker 2: that's strange?
- 23:53Speaker 9: So we had a beagle and which is part of
- 23:56Speaker 9: a hound, just like the lady with the. the Basset Hound, right?
- 24:00Speaker 9: She would eat anything metal, sticks, rocks, her own poop, sprinklers.
- 24:05Speaker 9: But the thing that really got her, it was normal,
- 24:09Speaker 9: but she ate a Costco-sized bag of hamburger buns. All
- 24:14Speaker 9: of them. So like 24 hamburger buns. And then the
- 24:17Speaker 9: bread tie and the plastic, the whole ball of wax.
- 24:20Speaker 9: And it did her in. We had to take her
- 24:22Speaker 9: to the hospital and she was like 13 years old.
- 24:24Speaker 9: And they're like, oh yeah, it's going to be like
- 24:25Speaker 9: five or six grand if we do something. And the
- 24:29Speaker 9: bread tie lacerated her stomach.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Oh, poor baby.
- 24:34Speaker 6: She could eat sprinklers just fine.
- 24:36Speaker 9: But the bag of buns.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Wow.
- 24:38Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah. But she was a tank. She ate strings, toys, Legos.
- 24:45Speaker 9: And we had to keep peroxide around to put it
- 24:49Speaker 9: down her throat so she could throw up whatever she
- 24:51Speaker 9: ate because it was always a constant problem.
- 24:53Speaker 2: See, when your dog eats something, if you give it,
- 24:54Speaker 2: I think my wife said salt, put a bunch of salt,
- 24:57Speaker 2: and it'll vomit everything right up.
- 24:59Speaker 27: Oh.
- 25:00Speaker 4: I could see how that could happen.
- 25:02Speaker 2: On this list I have, it says an F1 key,
- 25:04Speaker 2: an F11 key on a keyboard, a TV remote, a
- 25:06Speaker 2: driver's license, reading glasses, two full wasp nests is what
- 25:11Speaker 2: their dog ate, all the garden lawn sprinklers, the floor
- 25:14Speaker 2: of a boat, and one dog ate two pounds of
- 25:17Speaker 2: sand in one sitting.
- 25:19Speaker 7: That is insane.
- 25:19Speaker 2: That is crazy.
- 25:21Speaker 6: No reports, actual reports of my dog ate my homework, though.
- 25:23Speaker 22: Not yet.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Chris, what did your dog eat, Chris?
- 25:29Speaker 15: My parents' dog ate two pounds of edibles.
- 25:34Speaker 6: Oh.
- 25:37Speaker 15: I normally watch my parents' dog, but this time I
- 25:39Speaker 15: was out of town, so my brother watched it. And
- 25:41Speaker 15: he had apparently two freezer bags full of edibles he
- 25:44Speaker 15: didn't realize he had. And it was the 4th of July.
- 25:47Speaker 15: He came home, and she was on the couch stoned
- 25:49Speaker 15: watching Bluey. And then my parents text me, and my
- 25:56Speaker 15: mama said, this is why we don't let your brother
- 25:57Speaker 15: watch the dogs.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 26:00Speaker 4: But at least, like, I mean, it was bluey.
- 26:02Speaker 26: It was an appropriate TV show.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Educational.
- 26:04Speaker 24: Exactly.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Appropriate, locked in.
- 26:06Speaker 2: The way you said it, though, sounds like the dog
- 26:08Speaker 2: turned on the TV.
- 26:09Speaker 13: I know.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Put it on bluey. It sounded like that.
- 26:13Speaker 15: Yeah, I'd send you a picture of her to your
- 26:15Speaker 15: Facebook whenever you can get a chance.
- 26:17Speaker 22: Oh, yeah.
- 26:18Speaker 15: She was high probably for three days. They took her
- 26:20Speaker 15: to the emergency vet, and the vet's like, there's nothing
- 26:22Speaker 15: really we can do, so just ride it out.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Hey, thanks, Chris. Thanks for calling in.
- 26:28Speaker 22: Oh, my God.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Oh, cool. Your scanner stopped. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Hey, Tom.
- 26:34Speaker 22: Hey, how's it going, guys?
- 26:35Speaker 2: Good morning. What'd your dog eat?
- 26:37Speaker 22: Hey, how about what did my tortoise eat? Sure.
- 26:40Speaker 6: Why not?
- 26:41Speaker 22: Everything. Literally anything laying around. The pool noodles. Plastic bags,
- 26:48Speaker 22: a 50-foot rope, you name it. What's really messed up
- 26:54Speaker 22: is the longer things, like the pool noodles, the rope.
- 26:58Speaker 22: Either you're pulling out the mouth, or depending on how
- 27:01Speaker 22: long he's been at it, you might be pulling it
- 27:02Speaker 22: out the other end.
- 27:04Speaker 2: It's like, what do you do?
- 27:07Speaker 22: We had to keep the yard spotless.
- 27:09Speaker 2: But you think the turtle, you know, you think moves slow.
- 27:11Speaker 2: You see it going after the noodle.
- 27:14Speaker 1: No!
- 27:15Speaker 2: You're like that guy on Austin Powers.
- 27:16Speaker 30: No!
- 27:16Speaker 12: Stop!
- 27:16Speaker 2: Tortoises are fast, though. There's an Instagram account I follow,
- 27:23Speaker 2: and it's this lady that has this giant tortoise. And man,
- 27:26Speaker 2: it destroys her house. But they've had it since it
- 27:28Speaker 2: was a baby. As little as yours. You know, is
- 27:31Speaker 2: yours a philosophical tortoise?
- 27:32Speaker 4: No, I think ours is a sulcata tortoise.
- 27:35Speaker 6: Not a desert tortoise?
- 27:36Speaker 4: Not a desert tortoise.
- 27:37Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 2: They look like every tortoise I've ever seen in my life.
- 27:40Speaker 2: They're just a little yellow.
- 27:41Speaker 25: Huh.
- 27:42Speaker 2: And they're a big deal. Anyway, I got the picture
- 27:45Speaker 2: of the dog that's stoned.
- 27:47Speaker 6: Oh, as he's watching the movie?
- 27:49Speaker 2: He's just leaning on the guy. He literally looks like
- 27:51Speaker 2: a dog that's stoned.
- 27:53Speaker 21: Poor fella.
- 27:55Speaker 2: So much is happening right now on this radio show.
- 27:58Speaker 2: It's so exciting, you guys. It's so exciting.
- 28:01Speaker 6: I can't contain it.
- 28:02Speaker 22: Okay.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Harry Styles announced he's coming here. And our very own
- 28:05Speaker 2: Noah Lashley was at the concert in Madison Square Garden
- 28:09Speaker 2: last night. And I saw some of the coolest videos.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Noah Lashley reporting live. Are you there, Noah?
- 28:15Speaker 7: I am reporting live from Madison Square Garden.
- 28:17Speaker 6: He hasn't slept at all. Listen to how deep his
- 28:19Speaker 6: voice is.
- 28:20Speaker 2: What time did you go to bed last night?
- 28:21Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 28:23Speaker 7: It was like 2 a.m.
- 28:25Speaker 5: In New York. And I woke up like three minutes ago.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Good morning. So tell, how was the concert? How great
- 28:31Speaker 2: was it?
- 28:34Speaker 5: The energy is insane.
- 28:35Speaker 7: You'd think for a concert that's going on.
- 28:38Speaker 29: 30 nights by like night four, the energy would die down.
- 28:41Speaker 29: But here we were at night seven and it was
- 28:43Speaker 29: like being at night one.
- 28:44Speaker 2: It looks like you had great seats because that video,
- 28:48Speaker 2: if you guys see this video, freaking Harry Styles points
- 28:50Speaker 2: at Noah. It's so crazy.
- 28:52Speaker 5: I was at the barrier in the pit.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I knew it.
- 28:55Speaker 6: That's amazing.
- 28:55Speaker 3: So how long do you have to like camp outside
- 28:57Speaker 3: the venue to get those like.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Right at the barrier?
- 29:02Speaker 29: It was actually really cool because they had four GEA tickets,
- 29:07Speaker 29: but then they had the pit tickets, and there was
- 29:08Speaker 29: only less than 100 for each of the pits.
- 29:11Speaker 5: There were two pits. So we just walked right in.
- 29:14Speaker 5: We didn't even come for the opener.
- 29:15Speaker 29: We just walked right in when we were ready, drinks
- 29:17Speaker 29: in hand, and it was like they're waiting for us.
- 29:20Speaker 6: So it's kind of like VIP pits.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like you already got your seat, you got
- 29:24Speaker 4: your stuff. That's dope.
- 29:25Speaker 2: How much did that cost you?
- 29:26Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Okay. Well, it took us six months to pay off
- 29:31Speaker 5: the tickets.
- 29:34Speaker 6: Priorities. We had to show her Mini Cooper to get
- 29:37Speaker 6: the tickets, remember?
- 29:38Speaker 12: That's right.
- 29:45Speaker 7: Special dancers special trumpet players they had a guy playing.
- 29:48Speaker 29: The triangle and the best part was because we were
- 29:51Speaker 29: so close we actually got to hear like the individual
- 29:54Speaker 29: instruments like i think it was just for show but
- 29:56Speaker 29: i heard the triangle and i heard them banging two
- 29:58Speaker 29: wooden blocks together like it really sounded like i was
- 30:01Speaker 29: in part of a choir.
- 30:02Speaker 2: What was the last song you played.
- 30:06Speaker 7: He played Aperture. Oh, that's a good one.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Oh, that's good. Did he do any One Direction?
- 30:11Speaker 7: He did Sign of the Times, everybody's favorite.
- 30:13Speaker 29: And then there was like this seven minute DJ interlude
- 30:16Speaker 29: and he was mixing it himself. And then it slowly
- 30:19Speaker 29: went into Aperture and the whole place went nuts.
- 30:22Speaker 5: And it was like being in a club.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Did he do any One Direction?
- 30:27Speaker 22: No.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Come on.
- 30:29Speaker 6: He's got enough.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I know, but still.
- 30:32Speaker 1: She don't know she beautiful.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Did he do Kiwi?
- 30:36Speaker 6: I want to know if he did Kiwi.
- 30:38Speaker 21: He did Kiwi.
- 30:39Speaker 6: That's my jam right there.
- 30:41Speaker 7: Kiwi is from his debut album.
- 30:44Speaker 29: And it doesn't sound like any of his other songs.
- 30:46Speaker 29: It's always been a fan favorite. And as we were
- 30:49Speaker 29: paying off the tickets, we're like, what's the point of
- 30:52Speaker 29: even doing all this? If we're not going to hear Kiwi,
- 30:54Speaker 29: he never plays Kiwi. And then he added it to
- 30:56Speaker 29: New York and New York only. And we were so lucky.
- 30:59Speaker 6: Right on.
- 31:00Speaker 25: No.
- 31:00Speaker 2: What were you wearing last night?
- 31:02Speaker 29: So I was wearing a New York Harry Styles, Jersey
- 31:07Speaker 29: black that I bought from the pop-up shop. And then
- 31:10Speaker 29: a tie that my friend Shelby stuck like little emblems
- 31:15Speaker 29: all over. It was a red tie and there was
- 31:18Speaker 29: a disco ball and some stars and some kisses. And
- 31:20Speaker 29: then I had a kiss lip tattoo, fake tattoo on
- 31:24Speaker 29: my forehead.
- 31:25Speaker 22: Awesome.
- 31:25Speaker 2: No wonder he pointed at you. Noah, you're the best.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Enjoy your days off. Yeah, Noah, that was awesome.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Segment we're going to do is called Second Date Update
- 31:34Speaker 1: because that's what we're going to try and get and
- 31:36Speaker 1: that's what the bit is called. Second Date Update starts
- 31:39Speaker 1: right now on John Jay and Rick.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Alright, we're getting ready for Second Date Update. We're going
- 31:44Speaker 2: to find out what's... Whoa! Sierra, clear your throat on
- 31:48Speaker 2: the air. Hi, you're on the air. Good morning, Sierra.
- 31:51Speaker 12: Hi, sorry.
- 31:52Speaker 7: It's okay.
- 31:52Speaker 2: It's okay. You got a lot going on. So what's happening?
- 31:55Speaker 2: What would you tell us about your date?
- 31:58Speaker 22: So.
- 32:00Speaker 28: I just, like, want your guys' help because I've been
- 32:03Speaker 28: on five first dates this month, and I keep getting
- 32:07Speaker 28: ghosted by guys. Like, I've literally gotten ghosted by all
- 32:11Speaker 28: of them. And I don't, like, I'm starting to think
- 32:16Speaker 28: maybe I'm the issue. I don't know.
- 32:20Speaker 27: But this.
- 32:22Speaker 28: Most recent guy, like, we were talking on Instagram, and
- 32:27Speaker 28: And we went out on a date and I thought.
- 32:29Speaker 24: It was a lot of fun.
- 32:30Speaker 28: And I haven't heard back from him. He, like, didn't
- 32:37Speaker 28: even give me his number until we were on the date.
- 32:40Speaker 28: And I've, like, texted him a couple times.
- 32:43Speaker 24: And then I also.
- 32:45Speaker 28: Messaged him on Instagram. And I haven't heard anything back
- 32:49Speaker 28: from him. And I'm just, like, so over it.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Is he reading your messages on Instagram? Like, you know
- 32:57Speaker 3: how on Instagram someone opens it, it says, like, that
- 32:59Speaker 3: they saw it? Or is he completely ghosting you?
- 33:04Speaker 24: No, he hasn't opened them.
- 33:06Speaker 28: It's like, he, yeah, he's completely ghosted.
- 33:09Speaker 27: I haven't heard anything.
- 33:10Speaker 26: I feel like, John Jay, you would be like, maybe
- 33:14Speaker 26: they're all deathly ill.
- 33:17Speaker 4: All five of the ghosters.
- 33:19Speaker 6: They're lined up at the same hospital, just in the
- 33:22Speaker 6: emergency room.
- 33:23Speaker 25: All of them.
- 33:23Speaker 28: Yeah, maybe I'm cursing all these guys.
- 33:25Speaker 26: I don't know. I mean, five dates for this to
- 33:28Speaker 26: happen to you. I feel like that's so brutal. I
- 33:30Speaker 26: feel so bad for you.
- 33:31Speaker 4: She sounds defeated, too. I mean, I get it. I
- 33:33Speaker 4: would be.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Even if you don't get to go on another date
- 33:35Speaker 3: with this guy, if that's even what you want to do.
- 33:38Speaker 3: But just to know, like, what's going on here? Because
- 33:41Speaker 3: I would definitely be looking.
- 33:42Speaker 12: In the mirror, too.
- 33:42Speaker 6: Well, sure. But, you know, it's also kind of the culture.
- 33:44Speaker 6: It's not her culture. It's just that people don't know
- 33:47Speaker 6: how to behave their butts.
- 33:48Speaker 4: Yeah, men can't communicate, so they just go. Is that
- 33:50Speaker 4: what you're saying?
- 33:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know. I'll call her if I want
- 33:52Speaker 6: to see her again. And she's just gotten a few
- 33:54Speaker 6: of those in a row.
- 33:55Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 33:56Speaker 2: So, shall we call?
- 33:58Speaker 30: Yeah.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:59Speaker 22: Yeah?
- 33:59Speaker 2: Give us some names, Sierra.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Tyler.
- 34:01Speaker 9: Tyler.
- 34:02Speaker 22: Okay.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Hold on line, okay? We're going to get Tyler on
- 34:04Speaker 2: the phone. We're going to find out why he's blowing
- 34:05Speaker 2: you off, okay? Okay.
- 34:07Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich.
- 34:09Speaker 2: We are like a whole bunch.
- 34:10Speaker 22: All right.
- 34:11Speaker 2: We are in the middle of Second Aid Update. Sierra
- 34:14Speaker 2: and Tyler?
- 34:15Speaker 6: Poor Sierra. Five times. She's been ghosted by five guys
- 34:19Speaker 6: in a month in her dating life. And she's starting
- 34:22Speaker 6: to wonder, am I the problem? Is it me? But
- 34:26Speaker 6: she went out with Tyler and had a great date.
- 34:29Speaker 6: The conversation was flowing. The connection was happening. Now she's
- 34:35Speaker 6: messaged him. She didn't even have his number until the date.
- 34:38Speaker 6: And he's not answering. He's ghosting her too. What's the deal?
- 34:42Speaker 2: You know what's funny, Sierra, is you went out with
- 34:45Speaker 2: five guys in one month and they all ghosted you, right?
- 34:48Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 34:49Speaker 5: It's funny.
- 34:50Speaker 2: If you actually went to the five guys restaurant and
- 34:52Speaker 2: they didn't wait on you. And then I go to
- 34:54Speaker 2: five guys and they wouldn't take my order.
- 34:56Speaker 9: Come on.
- 34:57Speaker 2: What is the deal? Hey, and how come out of
- 34:59Speaker 2: the five guys, why is Tyler the one you want
- 35:01Speaker 2: to talk to? How come you don't want to have
- 35:03Speaker 2: us call any of the other ones?
- 35:06Speaker 22: I mean.
- 35:07Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 35:08Speaker 24: I had a fun date with him, but also I
- 35:10Speaker 24: think I'm just kind of at the end of my
- 35:13Speaker 24: line of getting ghosted right now. I just want to
- 35:18Speaker 24: ask if there was something about me or why did
- 35:22Speaker 24: he ghost me?
- 35:23Speaker 2: We could get all five guys on the phone at
- 35:26Speaker 2: one time on speaker and then be like, hold on, guys.
- 35:29Speaker 2: You all went on a date with this girl. Why
- 35:32Speaker 2: don't you like her?
- 35:33Speaker 22: But all right.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Hold on a second. Dylan, did you get Tyler on
- 35:37Speaker 2: the phone?
- 35:38Speaker 21: Not quite. I have Danae on the line.
- 35:41Speaker 12: She'll fill you in.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Danae? All right, Sierra, you chill for a second.
- 35:43Speaker 10: Okay.
- 35:43Speaker 7: Hold on.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Hold on a second.
- 35:45Speaker 22: Danae?
- 35:46Speaker 7: Yes, hi.
- 35:47Speaker 30: Hi.
- 35:47Speaker 2: You're cool jumping on the radio with us real quick?
- 35:50Speaker 12: Yep.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Oh, we were looking for Tyler.
- 35:53Speaker 11: Well, you didn't get Tyler.
- 35:55Speaker 20: Tyler is my little brother. And this is my number
- 36:02Speaker 20: that he gives out to girls.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Okay. Why would he do that?
- 36:08Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 36:10Speaker 20: I did not ever expect this to escalate this far.
- 36:13Speaker 20: So when he goes on dates, if it's not going well,
- 36:18Speaker 20: if it's not a situation he's really into, he gives
- 36:22Speaker 20: them my number so that they don't have any way
- 36:24Speaker 20: to contact him afterwards.
- 36:26Speaker 7: Okay.
- 36:28Speaker 1: How rude.
- 36:30Speaker 27: I have had.
- 36:31Speaker 20: So many girls call me and text me.
- 36:34Speaker 11: And I mean, I've gotten cussed out.
- 36:37Speaker 20: And meanwhile, he just blocks them on Instagram and he just.
- 36:39Speaker 10: Moved on with his life.
- 36:40Speaker 27: Oh.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Well, we have one of those girls. So we do
- 36:43Speaker 2: a radio show and one of those girls called us.
- 36:46Speaker 2: And she was so bummed out that Tyler's ghosted her
- 36:49Speaker 2: that she asked us to track him down. So that's
- 36:51Speaker 2: what we're doing. So say please say hi to Sierra.
- 36:53Speaker 16: Hi, Sierra.
- 36:58Speaker 28: So you're his sister?
- 37:01Speaker 16: Girl, yeah.
- 37:04Speaker 7: Hi.
- 37:04Speaker 27: So, what?
- 37:07Speaker 6: Okay.
- 37:09Speaker 20: He's not worth tracking down. Yeah, he's not worth it.
- 37:13Speaker 20: It's not, this is, he is He's tragically unable to communicate,
- 37:20Speaker 20: and he is not worth it. I promise you, he
- 37:22Speaker 20: is not worth your time.
- 37:25Speaker 6: Why would you let him use your phone number? You
- 37:29Speaker 6: don't want to deal with his mess.
- 37:32Speaker 20: I do not, but he is my little brother, and
- 37:37Speaker 20: apparently I am running customer service for his dating life.
- 37:40Speaker 7: I don't know. I have told him to stop.
- 37:42Speaker 6: Well, Sierra's great. Do you have any guys that you
- 37:44Speaker 6: can hook her up with? Right.
- 37:45Speaker 4: Maybe another brother that doesn't do what your other brother did.
- 37:48Speaker 6: She cared enough to call us to find out what happened,
- 37:51Speaker 6: and she sounds sweet as she can be.
- 37:53Speaker 20: Yeah, and Sierra, I'm telling you, he is not worth it.
- 37:58Speaker 11: This is a dead end.
- 38:00Speaker 20: It's a cul-de-sac to nowhere. There is nothing. You don't
- 38:06Speaker 20: want to get involved with him.
- 38:07Speaker 27: He's a mess.
- 38:08Speaker 20: I'm hoping so.
- 38:09Speaker 2: No problem. I think she's sold on not going out
- 38:12Speaker 2: with him again.
- 38:12Speaker 4: I feel like maybe that we did.
- 38:14Speaker 26: For a second, I was thinking, oh, man, we didn't
- 38:16Speaker 26: really get Sierra any answers.
- 38:18Speaker 4: Like, is there?
- 38:18Speaker 26: But I think maybe we do. And I think maybe
- 38:21Speaker 26: Sierra's got a bad man picker.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because today you don't need to know all this,
- 38:26Speaker 2: but the last four guys before Todd are ghosted or two.
- 38:29Speaker 20: Oh, well, I can't speak for the other four.
- 38:32Speaker 22: Right.
- 38:33Speaker 2: All we can do is we'll just hang up with
- 38:34Speaker 2: you and then, Sierra, we'll just go next. We'll call
- 38:38Speaker 2: them all, Sierra.
- 38:39Speaker 3: I mean, she's open to dating and putting herself out there.
- 38:43Speaker 4: That's a good thing.
- 38:44Speaker 2: I feel bad for Sierra. She's getting ghosted by everybody. But, Sierra,
- 38:48Speaker 2: we didn't ghost you.
- 38:49Speaker 9: You didn't.
- 38:50Speaker 24: Thank you.
- 38:51Speaker 10: I mean, did he say anything.
- 38:53Speaker 24: About why he wasn't into me or.
- 38:59Speaker 16: I don't know.
- 38:59Speaker 20: This is his process, Sierra. Do not take it personal.
- 39:02Speaker 20: Do not take it personal. He is an immature, unable
- 39:06Speaker 20: to communicate, not worth your time. He saw your DM.
- 39:12Speaker 20: He hit block.
- 39:12Speaker 7: That is his process.
- 39:13Speaker 21: Delete him.
- 39:14Speaker 9: He dodged a bullet.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Okay. Hey, today, thank you for taking the time to
- 39:18Speaker 2: jump on there with us. Really appreciate it. Thank you.
- 39:21Speaker 21: Thank you.
- 39:21Speaker 18: Thank you.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Sierra, sorry we didn't get you answers. If you want
- 39:24Speaker 2: to try another guy, we can help.
- 39:28Speaker 21: I'll hit you guys up.
- 39:30Speaker 7: Okay.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Well, whenever you're ready, you just let us know. Okay.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Good luck to you.
- 39:33Speaker 28: Thank you.
- 39:34Speaker 2: All right, that's sucking it up at you guys with
- 39:36Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich.
- 39:37Speaker 6: Hey, don't tell anybody.
- 39:38Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich gave me their personal cell phone number.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Where is my freaking phone? 877-937-1047.
- 39:45Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Rich, today is National what?
- 39:51Speaker 6: It is National Teddy Bear Day. It is National Wiener Day.
- 39:57Speaker 6: schnitzel day.
- 39:58Speaker 27: Yum.
- 39:59Speaker 22: Yum.
- 39:59Speaker 2: I said yum before schnitzel.
- 40:01Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 40:01Speaker 6: It's also steak a pivou day. I don't know if
- 40:05Speaker 6: I'm saying that right in French, but it's that day.
- 40:07Speaker 6: And actually, I don't even know what this is, but
- 40:09Speaker 6: maybe you guys have heard of it. It's International Sudoku Day. Oh,
- 40:14Speaker 6: the game? Sudoku. It is the game, but what exactly
- 40:16Speaker 6: is that?
- 40:16Speaker 4: You probably get to play.
- 40:18Speaker 6: Well, what is it?
- 40:18Speaker 4: Sudoku, it's like a puzzle. It's like a word puzzle.
- 40:21Speaker 2: I've seen the books. I've seen the little magazines.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Oh, it is numbers. It is numbers.
- 40:24Speaker 6: I think it's numbers.
- 40:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I was thinking crossword puzzles. Smart people.
- 40:28Speaker 6: Smart people puzzle day.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Peyton, what's going on? We have a couple calls online
- 40:31Speaker 2: that Peyton said there's something really interesting about them.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Yeah, so I was like scrolling on our Instagram and
- 40:35Speaker 3: looking through our DMs, and we got two DMs back
- 40:38Speaker 3: to back. And as I was looking at them, I
- 40:40Speaker 3: was like... Wait, are these two connected? And then I
- 40:43Speaker 3: realized that they're not.
- 40:44Speaker 4: It's just a coincidence.
- 40:45Speaker 2: They're not connected, but we have them on the phone.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 40:48Speaker 6: Sierra.
- 40:50Speaker 14: Hi.
- 40:51Speaker 7: Hi.
- 40:51Speaker 2: So Peyton said you DM'd us, but so far Kyle, Rich,
- 40:55Speaker 2: and I don't know what the DM is about. So
- 40:57Speaker 2: welcome to the program. How can we help you?
- 41:01Speaker 27: I reached out because my fiance has been such a
- 41:03Speaker 27: loyal listener for years and we're actually getting married next month.
- 41:07Speaker 27: So I thought it'd be an awesome surprise to, you know,
- 41:09Speaker 27: give him a shout out on the radio since he
- 41:11Speaker 27: has no idea I'm calling.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Oh, how fun.
- 41:14Speaker 26: Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
- 41:17Speaker 27: Thank you.
- 41:18Speaker 2: What's his name?
- 41:20Speaker 27: His name is Vince. He's actually been on your show
- 41:22Speaker 27: once before a long time ago.
- 41:24Speaker 6: So tell us why. Why was he on the show?
- 41:27Speaker 21: You know what?
- 41:28Speaker 7: I don't remember.
- 41:28Speaker 27: He called me every day to give me updates of
- 41:31Speaker 27: what you guys talk about. When he called me this morning,
- 41:33Speaker 27: I can hear you guys in the background. I was like,
- 41:36Speaker 27: oh my God, he is going to hear me live.
- 41:37Speaker 6: He's like, no big deal. I was calling in for
- 41:39Speaker 6: the segment, who's got a secret family in at least
- 41:41Speaker 6: three other countries.
- 41:43Speaker 14: War of the Roses.
- 41:46Speaker 27: Who knows?
- 41:47Speaker 2: That's cool. Okay. Well, shout out, Vince. Thanks for listening.
- 41:51Speaker 27: Yeah, we're super, you know, excited. He was excited about
- 41:54Speaker 27: Peyton's wedding. And then, you know, when we were talking
- 41:57Speaker 27: about ours, and he.
- 41:57Speaker 8: Was like, oh, my God.
- 41:58Speaker 27: So, you know, he means so much to me, and
- 42:01Speaker 27: he's amazing. So any little thing I can do is
- 42:03Speaker 27: that he feels involved in the process.
- 42:04Speaker 2: You're so sweet.
- 42:06Speaker 6: You guys are going to be fine.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Okay, do me a favor. Hold on, okay? Hold on
- 42:08Speaker 2: for a second. Hold on a second. Lincoln. Yes, I'm here. Hey,
- 42:12Speaker 2: what's up? You're on the air. How can we help you?
- 42:15Speaker 7: Well, so here's what's going on.
- 42:17Speaker 30: My fiancée, Elizabeth... is your biggest fan of the show.
- 42:21Speaker 30: She loves your show.
- 42:24Speaker 7: And she has listened to you guys for years. You
- 42:26Speaker 7: guys have helped her through some of the toughest times.
- 42:29Speaker 7: She calls you her family. And she's dying.
- 42:33Speaker 30: She has literally told me about every one of you.
- 42:37Speaker 30: And one thing that she wants so much is she
- 42:39Speaker 30: was hoping that you guys would come to our wedding
- 42:42Speaker 30: December 19th.
- 42:42Speaker 16: Wow.
- 42:43Speaker 7: She was incredibly.
- 42:45Speaker 5: Happy for it.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Hey, hold on a second. Hold on for one second.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Hold on for one second. Hey, Sierra.
- 42:51Speaker 22: Yes.
- 42:51Speaker 2: We just talked to Lincoln. He's inviting us to his wedding.
- 42:54Speaker 2: You didn't invite us to your wedding.
- 42:56Speaker 27: Well, in the DM, you're invited to the wedding, too.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Oh, in the DM? What did you just say? No, no,
- 43:01Speaker 2: I got to see the DM. I don't believe you.
- 43:02Speaker 27: Just because you guys didn't see it doesn't mean it
- 43:05Speaker 27: didn't happen.
- 43:06Speaker 7: I know.
- 43:07Speaker 4: Can confirm, Sierra did invite us to the wedding.
- 43:09Speaker 27: Oh, really?
- 43:09Speaker 7: I was like, don't.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Pressure her into it. I was about to say.
- 43:12Speaker 4: She did invite us.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Lincoln invited us. Have you picked out the food yet?
- 43:15Speaker 2: What kind of food you got?
- 43:16Speaker 22: What would you like?
- 43:18Speaker 27: We're doing a tri-tip with a demi-glaze and a chicken marsala.
- 43:23Speaker 27: We have a few artists there. And live music for
- 43:28Speaker 27: ceremony and cocktail hour.
- 43:29Speaker 2: What's the dress?
- 43:32Speaker 27: I can't tell you if he's listening.
- 43:33Speaker 6: Who's the band? I probably know him.
- 43:34Speaker 2: You can't tell us the dress?
- 43:35Speaker 4: She's talking about the dress code.
- 43:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Are you talking about the dress code?
- 43:39Speaker 23: I'm thinking of my wedding dress.
- 43:40Speaker 19: No, no, no.
- 43:41Speaker 2: I want to know, like, is it black tie or
- 43:43Speaker 2: is it, like, casual, like, jeans?
- 43:44Speaker 21: It's dark and moody formal attire.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Dark and moody.
- 43:47Speaker 7: Dark and moody.
- 43:48Speaker 6: And who's the band?
- 43:49Speaker 4: I probably know them.
- 43:51Speaker 27: He is a guitarist that was on The Voice, Nelson Cade.
- 43:55Speaker 6: I don't know him, but that sounds amazing.
- 43:56Speaker 2: That's awesome. Where is the wedding? What city are you in?
- 44:00Speaker 27: Pomona, California. So we actually live in Arizona, but my
- 44:03Speaker 27: family's in California. So my grandma's getting older. And so
- 44:08Speaker 27: we kind of had to rush our date.
- 44:09Speaker 2: That's different. Grandmas usually don't get older. Hold on, Sierra.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 44:16Speaker 22: Hold on.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Hey Lincoln.
- 44:19Speaker 22: Yes.
- 44:19Speaker 2: What kind of food you got at your wedding?
- 44:22Speaker 7: We have Italian food.
- 44:25Speaker 6: That's all you had to say.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Ooh. What about the dress? Is there a theme to
- 44:29Speaker 2: your wedding?
- 44:31Speaker 7: So there is no theme.
- 44:32Speaker 30: So I want to let you guys, I'm a pro
- 44:34Speaker 30: wrestler out here in Arizona. She's always supported me in
- 44:37Speaker 30: every one of my shows and I wanted to do
- 44:38Speaker 30: one thing and that was to get her on the
- 44:41Speaker 30: phone with you guys to tell her if it's okay,
- 44:44Speaker 30: if that's okay on your side, she is going to
- 44:46Speaker 30: go ballistic if she.
- 44:47Speaker 5: Hears your voice, like literally.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Oh, you want us to call her?
- 44:51Speaker 30: Would you be able to, if you guys are going
- 44:53Speaker 30: to go?
- 44:54Speaker 7: Well, where's the wedding? The wedding is in Mesa, Arizona
- 44:59Speaker 7: at Garden Tuscana.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Oh, Mesa.
- 45:02Speaker 7: That's December 19th.
- 45:04Speaker 2: That's far.
- 45:05Speaker 9: No, it's not.
- 45:06Speaker 6: No, it is.
- 45:07Speaker 2: That is 20 miles away.
- 45:11Speaker 26: I mean, it's closer than Pomona, California.
- 45:17Speaker 9: What is it?
- 45:18Speaker 2: December 19th, you said? December 19th?
- 45:20Speaker 7: December 19th, yes.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I tell you what, why don't we all check? And
- 45:22Speaker 2: if we're available, I think it'd be fun to go.
- 45:24Speaker 6: I think it'd be fun, too.
- 45:25Speaker 2: I think it'd be fun to go. We haven't done
- 45:26Speaker 2: that in a long time.
- 45:26Speaker 27: Yeah.
- 45:27Speaker 5: Oh.
- 45:27Speaker 7: That would be phenomenal, guys.
- 45:29Speaker 2: I do love a good wedding.
- 45:30Speaker 22: Yeah. All right.
- 45:31Speaker 2: What about the band? Is it a band?
- 45:34Speaker 25: We don't have a band.
- 45:34Speaker 22: We have a DJ.
- 45:35Speaker 30: It's a Middle Eastern Assyrian wedding, half and half Mexican.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Oh, dude.
- 45:42Speaker 6: That's going to go off.
- 45:43Speaker 2: I ate at a Middle Eastern Mexican restaurant last week.
- 45:47Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 45:48Speaker 5: Oh.
- 45:49Speaker 15: Oh, wow.
- 45:49Speaker 7: I didn't even know there was one existing.
- 45:52Speaker 2: It's in San Diego. I can't remember the name of it,
- 45:54Speaker 2: but it was like you got carne asada. Then you
- 45:55Speaker 2: got that, the rice, the, the, the, the middle Eastern rice.
- 45:59Speaker 2: It was phenomenal.
- 46:00Speaker 7: I'm in.
- 46:04Speaker 26: You can't say that unless you mean it.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Is the food going to be stations like buffet or
- 46:12Speaker 2: is it going to be brought to you?
- 46:14Speaker 5: Brought to you.
- 46:15Speaker 22: Don't worry about it.
- 46:16Speaker 7: I know you wouldn't want to move off the table, John.
- 46:18Speaker 30: It'll come to you, my man.
- 46:23Speaker 6: I like this.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Hold on a line. Hold on a line. Sierra, what's
- 46:26Speaker 2: the date.
- 46:29Speaker 27: Of your wedding?
- 46:30Speaker 30: 10-24-26.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Oh, October. It's Saturday. We'll commit further out, but we
- 46:36Speaker 2: will commit sooner up. We're going to regroup and we're looking.
- 46:39Speaker 2: If you're serious, we'll respond to you. We'll let you know.
- 46:41Speaker 2: We'll see if we're all in town.
- 46:42Speaker 7: No, we're serious.
- 46:43Speaker 27: We're serious, so you.
- 46:43Speaker 30: Let me know. All right.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Thank you, Sierra.
- 46:45Speaker 5: You're so sweet.
- 46:47Speaker 6: If anybody else wants to invite us to your wedding,
- 46:49Speaker 6: we didn't know what kind of food you're.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Going to have.
- 46:52Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:52Speaker 2: And if it's buffet. Hey, Lincoln, thanks for the invite.
- 46:55Speaker 2: We're going to regroup and see if we can all
- 46:57Speaker 2: be available on that day, December 19th. That's very cool.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Thank you for listening. Thanks for the invite.
- 47:03Speaker 30: Of course.
- 47:04Speaker 9: Thank you, guys.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Thank you, brother. That is so nice. People are so nice, right?
- 47:08Speaker 22: They are.
- 47:09Speaker 2: They're so nice. That'd be so much fun.
- 47:11Speaker 1: In the eternal battle of morning show supremacy, we are
- 47:17Speaker 1: one of them. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 47:20Speaker 2: What are you laughing at, Kyle?
- 47:21Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh, you guys.
- 47:22Speaker 26: There's this Reddit thread that's literally blowing up, and I'm
- 47:25Speaker 26: dying right now.
- 47:26Speaker 15: Okay. Okay.
- 47:27Speaker 26: So this person shared a story about how they started
- 47:29Speaker 26: a new job and they're going over all of the rules.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Right.
- 47:32Speaker 26: And they throw in, oh, and also there's no air
- 47:34Speaker 26: fryers at your desk. And they're like, that was kind
- 47:37Speaker 26: of out of the blue.
- 47:38Speaker 12: So, of course, I had to investigate.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Now, why?
- 47:41Speaker 12: When they're.
- 47:42Speaker 26: Training in the onboard session do you have to say
- 47:44Speaker 26: this and apparently one guy was making wings during like
- 47:48Speaker 26: a zoom and like like it like started like smoking
- 47:54Speaker 26: and set out the fire alarm and literally like the
- 47:56Speaker 26: whole building had to like exit and And then so
- 47:59Speaker 26: like everyone else, they're like, so are we the only one?
- 48:02Speaker 26: Are we the only business that has like these weird
- 48:04Speaker 26: rules because one idiot messed it up? And all these
- 48:08Speaker 26: people are sharing all these different like weird rules they
- 48:10Speaker 26: have and the reasons behind them. So like one rule
- 48:15Speaker 26: was there's no fish anywhere in the building.
- 48:17Speaker 6: Well, yeah, that's obvious.
- 48:18Speaker 26: And it's like someone reheated salmon every day for a week.
- 48:20Speaker 2: People complain, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 48:22Speaker 26: No alcohol in desk drawers.
- 48:23Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 48:24Speaker 4: Apparently, this was a big enough problem.
- 48:26Speaker 26: That they felt the need to actually make that an
- 48:29Speaker 26: official rule in the building. John, you're going to hate
- 48:32Speaker 26: this one, but no bare feet in the office.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Oh, that's terrible.
- 48:35Speaker 26: Because one guy would kick off his shoes every day,
- 48:37Speaker 26: and apparently his feet were so bad, like HR had
- 48:40Speaker 26: to get involved, and they just had to do this
- 48:42Speaker 26: blanket rule.
- 48:43Speaker 6: That makes it into the company mandate.
- 48:46Speaker 26: There was one that was, like, no changing clothes in
- 48:50Speaker 26: the conference rooms because someone kept using the conference room as, like,
- 48:53Speaker 26: their dress room before, like, dates. And coworkers walked in
- 48:56Speaker 26: on this guy more than once.
- 48:58Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh. That would happen here.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Do you know how many times I randomly, like, go
- 49:01Speaker 3: and change in random rooms here? You always have to, like,
- 49:04Speaker 3: have a guard out for you.
- 49:05Speaker 7: I know.
- 49:06Speaker 26: And this one made me laugh so bad because I
- 49:08Speaker 26: feel like... Like, we would never follow this rule right
- 49:11Speaker 26: here on the John Jay and Rich show. No costumes
- 49:15Speaker 26: unless it's an official costume day.
- 49:17Speaker 6: I want to come in costume. every day you know
- 49:21Speaker 6: what i mean maybe you're out of laundry the only
- 49:22Speaker 6: thing you have left is your halloween.
- 49:24Speaker 26: Getup somebody apparently wore like a full spider-man suit to
- 49:27Speaker 26: work because he lost a fantasy football bet but like
- 49:30Speaker 26: he refused to take the mask off in meetings so.
- 49:35Speaker 4: That is a good friend right there. He doesn't want
- 49:37Speaker 4: to hold down his phone like that.
- 49:38Speaker 2: Hold on a second. Hold on. Reese, you got one
- 49:40Speaker 2: of these weird rules at work?
- 49:42Speaker 7: Yeah, man.
- 49:42Speaker 31: I'm so glad you guys are talking about this right
- 49:45Speaker 31: now because, like, my company has this new rule where
- 49:48Speaker 31: we're not allowed to bring anyone back to our, like,
- 49:52Speaker 31: company hotel when we're out. And this guy, he brought
- 49:56Speaker 31: some girl back to his room, and then the next
- 49:58Speaker 31: day he woke up, laptop, wallet, like, work phone, keys,
- 50:03Speaker 31: everything was gone.
- 50:04Speaker 22: Oh.
- 50:04Speaker 31: They ended up finding it, like, they tracked the phone
- 50:08Speaker 31: down to the strip club. The girl had used his
- 50:11Speaker 31: company credit card, $ 600 at Target.
- 50:14Speaker 22: Oh, no.
- 50:15Speaker 31: So now we're not allowed to bring anyone to our
- 50:18Speaker 31: hotel room.
- 50:20Speaker 6: He really had bad, just his bad move ruined it
- 50:23Speaker 6: for everybody.
- 50:23Speaker 4: Because what, he got robbed?
- 50:24Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 50:25Speaker 2: So one person screwed it all up.
- 50:27Speaker 6: Yeah, nobody can have fun anymore.
- 50:28Speaker 22: Yeah, he ruined it for everyone. Thanks, Reese.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Thanks for calling in. Let's do that.
- 50:32Speaker 22: 877-937-1047.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Let's hear about any kind of weird rule you have
- 50:37Speaker 2: at work because one person screwed it up. I always
- 50:40Speaker 2: think that sometimes when I go to certain places, you
- 50:41Speaker 2: go to the bathroom, it'll say, oh, don't flush. It'll say,
- 50:45Speaker 2: only flush toilet paper in the toilet. And I'm like,
- 50:47Speaker 2: what the hell else did people put in there? What
- 50:49Speaker 2: did they put down there? I don't know.
- 50:50Speaker 4: You know there's a story behind it.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Somebody threw something in there, caused the toilet to overflow,
- 50:55Speaker 2: and they said, why would you throw this toaster in here?
- 50:57Speaker 2: No more toasters in the toilet. We want to hear
- 50:59Speaker 2: your dumb rule at work. We'll talk to you next.
- 51:02Speaker 2: It's John Jane Rich.
- 51:03Speaker 1: It's the John Jay and Rich radio program.
- 51:06Speaker 6: Two names.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Four hosts.
- 51:08Speaker 6: And a whole lot of fun.
- 51:10Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 51:12Speaker 7: Hard work.
- 51:13Speaker 22: Hard work.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Do it every day.
- 51:15Speaker 22: Hard work.
- 51:16Speaker 23: I get up about a quarter to three.
- 51:18Speaker 2: We want to know your weird work rules. Mickey Ray,
- 51:22Speaker 2: good morning.
- 51:23Speaker 19: Good morning.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Where do you work?
- 51:25Speaker 23: I am a dog groomer.
- 51:28Speaker 19: I actually work at Petco, and we are no longer
- 51:33Speaker 19: allowed to wear our headphones.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Because?
- 51:40Speaker 19: Because employees couldn't get along, and it's always kind of
- 51:44Speaker 19: been a rule that we weren't supposed to, but... They
- 51:47Speaker 19: let us slide on it because I work in the
- 51:49Speaker 19: grooming salon. You know, it's high stress. And then these
- 51:52Speaker 19: employees were fighting with each other in front of other customers.
- 51:56Speaker 19: And so they took that privilege away.
- 51:59Speaker 6: What if we had that rule that you couldn't wear
- 52:00Speaker 6: any headphones? I guess that would never be a rule here.
- 52:03Speaker 3: I thought it was going to be like they were
- 52:05Speaker 3: forcing them to talk and make up.
- 52:07Speaker 4: So you couldn't block them out by their headphones.
- 52:09Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 52:11Speaker 6: Right.
- 52:13Speaker 2: The benefit of headphones, the benefit of headphones when you're
- 52:16Speaker 2: grooming is that you can, you don't have to hear
- 52:18Speaker 2: the shears and all that stuff.
- 52:19Speaker 13: Right.
- 52:19Speaker 2: So you got headphones in, you listen to music. Like
- 52:21Speaker 2: it makes sense to me that you would have headphones on.
- 52:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 52:24Speaker 19: And it just like when you have a dog that's
- 52:26Speaker 19: misbehaving or even like the blow dryers that we're using,
- 52:29Speaker 19: like it just gets loud and overwhelming and it just,
- 52:33Speaker 19: it helps to have something in your ear.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Okay. That's a weird work rule at Petco where the
- 52:39Speaker 2: pets go. Thanks, Mickey Ray. Thanks for calling in. Have
- 52:44Speaker 2: a great day.
- 52:44Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you.
- 52:45Speaker 17: You too.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Hello, Sabrina. So Kyle found this Reddit thread. It was
- 52:49Speaker 2: talking about weird work rules. It's hard to say that.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Weird work rules. Do you have one, Sabrina?
- 52:55Speaker 7: Say it three times real fast.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Weird work rules. What's your work rule?
- 53:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 53:02Speaker 21: What do you got? No men in production are allowed
- 53:06Speaker 21: to use the front restroom. Only the women. If there's
- 53:10Speaker 21: a guy in the office, he's allowed to use the
- 53:12Speaker 21: front restroom because the production guys are gross.
- 53:15Speaker 6: Somebody ruined it for everybody else. They got to walk
- 53:18Speaker 6: all the way to the back.
- 53:20Speaker 21: I know who ruined it, and I was like, nope,
- 53:23Speaker 21: it's not happening anymore.
- 53:25Speaker 2: And where do you work, Sabrina? What kind of work?
- 53:28Speaker 16: Denmark Foods.
- 53:29Speaker 22: I'm an accountant.
- 53:31Speaker 5: For Denmark foods.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Denmark foods, huh? What's that?
- 53:34Speaker 21: Yeah, like brats. Brats and stuff you buy at Fry's.
- 53:37Speaker 27: Or Safeway and ground chicken, ground pork.
- 53:41Speaker 21: But we do a lot of brats and jalapeno boppers.
- 53:44Speaker 2: Well, thank you for calling in and sharing that weird
- 53:46Speaker 2: work rule.
- 53:49Speaker 21: Thank you.
- 53:50Speaker 22: Have a nice day. You too.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Thank you. Jen, you've got a weird work rule.
- 53:54Speaker 5: I do.
- 53:56Speaker 16: I have two. What do you got?
- 53:59Speaker 22: So.
- 54:00Speaker 16: We are not allowed to have any pens and paper
- 54:05Speaker 16: at our desk because of the CCPA, the Credit Card
- 54:09Speaker 16: Protection Act, because some idiot decided to write down a
- 54:15Speaker 16: credit card number and go buy a Big Mac at McDonald's.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 54:20Speaker 6: So you're not allowed to have that?
- 54:22Speaker 16: I wish I was kidding. I wish I was kidding,
- 54:24Speaker 16: but I'm not.
- 54:25Speaker 6: That's so weird. You can't have any pen or paper
- 54:28Speaker 6: at your desk.
- 54:29Speaker 2: So you tell me this guy.
- 54:30Speaker 16: We can't be writing anything.
- 54:31Speaker 29: Yeah.
- 54:32Speaker 16: So like there's like maybe sometimes there's like five minutes
- 54:36Speaker 16: in between calls and there's nothing to do. And so like,
- 54:41Speaker 16: and we have no games on our computer. And I'm
- 54:43Speaker 16: not like talking crap about my.
- 54:45Speaker 31: Job, but.
- 54:47Speaker 16: But just, you know, we can't do a crossword puzzle
- 54:50Speaker 16: or anything like that because we can't have any paper pens.
- 54:54Speaker 2: So you're telling me this guy writes down a number
- 54:56Speaker 2: and you can walk into McDonald's with a number on
- 54:58Speaker 2: a piece of paper and say, here's my credit card.
- 55:00Speaker 2: I like a Big Mac.
- 55:02Speaker 5: No, he put it in a digital app.
- 55:05Speaker 13: Wow.
- 55:06Speaker 2: Still beyond me. Beyond.
- 55:09Speaker 7: I know.
- 55:09Speaker 6: He just ordered it online.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Oh, he went on the McDonald's app. Oh, oh, oh, okay, okay,
- 55:14Speaker 2: I did that.
- 55:16Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Sorry, I didn't get it.
- 55:18Speaker 4: No, no, that's what I was explaining to you.
- 55:20Speaker 6: I was surprised.
- 55:21Speaker 2: What was the other one? What was the other one, Jen?
- 55:25Speaker 16: We have to clock out to use the bathroom.
- 55:28Speaker 2: That's not cool.
- 55:29Speaker 6: Yeah, no kidding. Unless you're taking like, you know, an
- 55:32Speaker 6: hour and a half in there.
- 55:33Speaker 26: Someone must have. Someone must have.
- 55:36Speaker 16: I mean, I get it, and they don't, like, you know,
- 55:39Speaker 16: their whole thing is, we're not taking you to the bathroom,
- 55:41Speaker 16: and we have two breaks, and.
- 55:42Speaker 22: I get that.
- 55:44Speaker 5: Same here.
- 55:44Speaker 6: Peyton makes us have a hall pass before we can
- 55:46Speaker 6: use the bathroom.
- 55:47Speaker 4: Yeah, well, because you guys literally go, like, every five minutes.
- 55:49Speaker 6: It's ridiculous.
- 55:50Speaker 7: That's a lot.
- 55:51Speaker 6: Drink a lot of water.
- 55:52Speaker 2: That's, like... I worked at the chick hashing place in
- 55:56Speaker 2: college and we're in these cages. And I remember, you know,
- 55:59Speaker 2: getting paid hourly and I'd be like, I'm going out there.
- 56:01Speaker 2: I'm going to hang out in here.
- 56:02Speaker 5: For a while.
- 56:03Speaker 26: That's where that habit began.
- 56:05Speaker 2: All right, Jen, thanks for calling in.
- 56:08Speaker 16: No problem. You guys have a good day.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Good morning, Emily.
- 56:12Speaker 14: Hey, so my work role is just for me only.
- 56:17Speaker 14: My boss tells me I'm not allowed to talk to
- 56:19Speaker 14: the new people. So they're out of training.
- 56:24Speaker 6: Too distracting.
- 56:25Speaker 4: Too ready.
- 56:28Speaker 14: I don't know, but that's just a personal rule. She
- 56:30Speaker 14: catches me talking to them.
- 56:30Speaker 11: She has to go, this is about work, right?
- 56:32Speaker 14: And I'll have to usually just lie.
- 56:34Speaker 3: You're like, I'm just trying to get to know them.
- 56:38Speaker 7: I'm showing them how to talk to customers.
- 56:41Speaker 16: That's how we do it here.
- 56:42Speaker 6: That's a whole other subcategory. What is the work rule
- 56:45Speaker 6: for just you?
- 56:46Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 56:49Speaker 14: Yeah, I feel like most people should get fired if
- 56:51Speaker 14: they have a personal rule, but I don't know. I've
- 56:53Speaker 14: been there for like four and a half years, so
- 56:55Speaker 14: I think they let it slide.
- 56:56Speaker 6: You're just being friendly.
- 56:58Speaker 2: And what kind of work do you do, Emily?
- 57:00Speaker 14: I'm a bartender and server, so, you know, you got
- 57:03Speaker 14: to have a personality. You got to be fun.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
- 57:06Speaker 27: Thanks.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Have a great day, Emily.
- 57:08Speaker 16: Thanks, guys.
- 57:08Speaker 7: Bye.
- 57:09Speaker 2: Speaking of food, Rich, I thought maybe it's time for
- 57:11Speaker 2: food news since you just talked about food in Rich's
- 57:13Speaker 2: new segment, Food News.
- 57:15Speaker 6: And now, John Jay and Rich present... Look, I mean,
- 57:28Speaker 6: I think as far as the innovation goes, nobody is
- 57:32Speaker 6: coming close to Taco Bell. And I think you're going
- 57:35Speaker 6: to really like this. They're teaming up with salt in
- 57:38Speaker 6: straw ice cream.
- 57:40Speaker 4: I saw this.
- 57:41Speaker 6: It's an ice cream taco, a churro taco.
- 57:44Speaker 26: I know, but it's sad because it's not going to
- 57:45Speaker 26: be everywhere. It's like for a limited time and it's
- 57:48Speaker 26: going to be like only a couple of the restaurants
- 57:49Speaker 26: have it.
- 57:50Speaker 2: I'm like, let's make it worldwide. So it's like the
- 57:52Speaker 2: Choco Taco, Choco Loco Taco. It's a new take on that.
- 57:55Speaker 6: May I describe it to you to tempt your temptations?
- 57:59Speaker 6: Churro ice cream inside a crispy waffle cone shell covered
- 58:03Speaker 6: with puffed rice in a dark chocolate flavored coating.
- 58:06Speaker 9: It's $ 3.
- 58:06Speaker 6: 99 and guess what, Kyle? Next week, available nationwide for
- 58:12Speaker 6: a limited time.
- 58:13Speaker 4: Limited time.
- 58:14Speaker 12: Try Tuesday.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Yes, well, I saw there was one at the Taco
- 58:18Speaker 3: Bell by my house, and I was like, I'm coming.
- 58:20Speaker 4: Back for you.
- 58:21Speaker 6: And White Castle is teamed up with the Kelsey Brothers.
- 58:24Speaker 6: They own some kind of beer, and they're doing beer
- 58:27Speaker 6: cheese with everything.
- 58:28Speaker 22: Oh, yum.
- 58:28Speaker 6: And it's teamed up with their beer brand. So that
- 58:30Speaker 6: is your Food News. And now, John Jay and Rich
- 58:35Speaker 6: present Food News.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Broadcasting live across the world right now. This is the
- 58:43Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich radio program.
