- 1:02Speaker 4: this again, y'all. Thank you for joining us, spending time
- 1:05Speaker 4: with us here on the His Hot Radio podcast. This
- 1:09Speaker 4: is verse by verse. We're gonna go through the Word
- 1:13Speaker 4: of God together.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Today.
- 1:15Speaker 4: We are in Jeremiah chapter eighteen. We're gonna pick it
- 1:20Speaker 4: up at verse twelve through verse seventeen. The title of
- 1:24Speaker 4: today's message is they have forgotten Me. So just with
- 1:30Speaker 4: that title alone, you know we're gonna get into it.
- 1:32Speaker 4: We're gonna get into the Word together. We're gonna continue
- 1:36Speaker 4: this and we're going to talk about what happened on
- 1:42Speaker 4: the last episode. We talked about the potter in the clay.
- 1:48Speaker 4: We saw how God can reshape a vessel that has
- 1:52Speaker 4: been marred or another words, disfigured, and we talked about repentance,
- 2:02Speaker 4: returning away from sin, wrong decisions, and returning back to God.
- 2:09Speaker 4: But now we see how Jeremiah responds to God's warning.
- 2:13Speaker 4: And unfortunately they didn't respond with repentance. I mean, not Jeremiah, Judah.
- 2:23Speaker 4: We're gonna see how Judah responds to God's warning. Now
- 2:27Speaker 4: he made it clear, he told him I am devising
- 2:30Speaker 4: disaster against you, like turn and get it right. But
- 2:37Speaker 4: they basically told God that there's no hope. They made
- 2:43Speaker 4: it up in their minds. They chose their own way,
- 2:47Speaker 4: and God points out something heartbreaking, and so we're gonna
- 2:53Speaker 4: look into it. We're gonna dive into it today. Also,
- 3:00Speaker 4: I want to remind you to join us in a
- 3:02Speaker 4: live chat. All you have to do is download his
- 3:05Speaker 4: radio app Hi asked HP and all platforms, and once
- 3:10Speaker 4: you download it, go ahead and go to the top
- 3:13Speaker 4: left menu, hit that drop down and then click on
- 3:17Speaker 4: live chat. All you need is a user name, email address,
- 3:23Speaker 4: a password, and you're in. Log in. Give us a
- 3:28Speaker 4: shout out. We'll shout you out right back the live chat.
- 3:32Speaker 4: That's the place where it all happens. That's where we connect,
- 3:36Speaker 4: that's where we ask questions. We check in with one another.
- 3:40Speaker 4: We hold each other accountable. And also we have a call,
- 3:45Speaker 4: a conference call we do once a week as well.
- 3:47Speaker 4: If you'd like to jump on that conference call, let
- 3:49Speaker 4: us know in the live chat and we'll just get
- 3:53Speaker 4: you that phone number, or you know, we can do
- 3:58Speaker 4: video calls as well. You know, we can will allow
- 4:01Speaker 4: this thing to grow as large as God wants it
- 4:05Speaker 4: to grow. Amen. So that's how we do right here
- 4:10Speaker 4: on the podcast. We believe that walking that narrow path
- 4:16Speaker 4: is the only way that we can enter into to
- 4:20Speaker 4: the Kingdom of God. Jesus said that path is narrow
- 4:24Speaker 4: and it's difficult, and so we're here to encourage the
- 4:29Speaker 4: narrow path walkers. This is your podcast, this is your
- 4:34Speaker 4: radio station if you're tired of that broad road. The
- 4:37Speaker 4: Bible says the broad road is the world that leads
- 4:40Speaker 4: to destruction, and there are many who go by that way,
- 4:47Speaker 4: and so we want to be the few. We want
- 4:50Speaker 4: to be the faithful. We want to be the wise
- 4:54Speaker 4: virgins who are waiting for the bridegroom. Amen. So that's
- 4:59Speaker 4: our heart he on the podcast. We want to get
- 5:02Speaker 4: people ready for when the Lord returns, that we will
- 5:07Speaker 4: be the ones watching and not those who have fallen
- 5:13Speaker 4: asleep and has fallen away. Right, So let's pray Heavenly Father,
- 5:19Speaker 4: We thank you, Father God, for another opportunity to be
- 5:22Speaker 4: on this platform we've dedicated to you. We ask, Father God,
- 5:26Speaker 4: that you will help us, Father God, to o Lord,
- 5:30Speaker 4: learn to feast on your word and not only to
- 5:34Speaker 4: understand it, but to apply it in our lives. Father God,
- 5:39Speaker 4: we just asked, Oh Lord, that your holy Spirit will anoint,
- 5:42Speaker 4: that you'll give us the ring a word for today,
- 5:45Speaker 4: and that somebody will be ministered to, somebody will be touched,
- 5:51Speaker 4: and that somebody will be helped. And today, by your
- 5:54Speaker 4: spirit we bind up the works of darkness in the
- 5:58Speaker 4: Mighty Enable Jesus. Hey man, all right, well, let's dive in.
- 6:09Speaker 4: We're gonna tackle first twelve together. Another one verse twelve
- 6:17Speaker 4: says and they said that is hopeless. So we will
- 6:26Speaker 4: walk according to our own plans, and we will everyone
- 6:32Speaker 4: obey the dictates of his evil heart. What kind wait
- 6:38Speaker 4: a minute, what kind of response is that? Can you
- 6:45Speaker 4: imagine responding to God like that? When God has been gracious,
- 6:50Speaker 4: God has been giving him a way out. God has
- 6:53Speaker 4: been trying to tell them to turn around and repent,
- 6:56Speaker 4: and he told him. Issue is that they were following
- 7:01Speaker 4: the dictates of their own evil hearts. And for them
- 7:06Speaker 4: to respond that way. Wow, man, man, that is bold.
- 7:16Speaker 4: So let's breaking down.
- 7:17Speaker 2: So break it down.
- 7:18Speaker 4: There is no hope now, God tells Jeremiah how the
- 7:24Speaker 4: people will respond to his warning. There is no hope
- 7:30Speaker 4: now that right there, beloved, It is the theme song
- 7:36Speaker 4: of hell. When people go to hell, the first thing
- 7:41Speaker 4: that they will notice is that hope is gone. There
- 7:45Speaker 4: is no hope that they could ever get out of
- 7:49Speaker 4: this place. And every time you snap a finger, every
- 7:54Speaker 4: second that goes by, another soul drops into hell. People
- 8:02Speaker 4: are dying every second. That's why it's really urgent for
- 8:08Speaker 4: us to fulfill the call that God has on our lives.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Amen.
- 8:14Speaker 4: But they say there is no hope, but we will
- 8:16Speaker 4: walk after our own devices. Now that's pretty defiant, and
- 8:24Speaker 4: we will everyone do the imagination of his evil heart.
- 8:33Speaker 4: That is a powerful response.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Right there.
- 8:36Speaker 4: God says, change your ways. They respond, We're going to
- 8:40Speaker 4: do what we want. By the way, that is the
- 8:45Speaker 4: only commandment you'll find in the Church of Satan is
- 8:50Speaker 4: do with thou wilt, We will do what we want.
- 8:55Speaker 4: It's hard to imagine that people who have these attitudes
- 9:01Speaker 4: are actually enemies of God. Like, we really need to
- 9:07Speaker 4: study the scriptures. Right. They are not saying that they
- 9:14Speaker 4: don't understand the situation. They're saying that they don't want
- 9:19Speaker 4: to change. Now, the one thing I can appreciate is
- 9:24Speaker 4: their honesty, because some people will play like they want
- 9:27Speaker 4: to change. They play with their relationship with God like
- 9:31Speaker 4: they're serving God, but inwardly they're not behind closed doors,
- 9:37Speaker 4: they're doing their own thing. Right, the stubbornness of Juda's response,
- 9:44Speaker 4: they had reached the point where they determined to follow
- 9:49Speaker 4: their own desires rather than submit themselves the God's will. Now,
- 9:55Speaker 4: don't underestimate the power of your own desire. Your own
- 10:01Speaker 4: desires could take you straight to hell. And a lot
- 10:06Speaker 4: of people think that they are justified just because their
- 10:11Speaker 4: own desires tell them to do certain things. Now, the
- 10:18Speaker 4: people at you that reached a point where they had
- 10:21Speaker 4: determine to follow their own desires rather than to submit
- 10:26Speaker 4: to God's will, the problem was simply ignorance. It was
- 10:31Speaker 4: deliberate refusal to obey. When you said that again, it
- 10:37Speaker 4: was deliberate refusal to obey the word of the Lord.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Right.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Now, that is a dangerous place to be spiritually. There's
- 10:54Speaker 4: a difference between saying Lord, I don't understand in saying Lord,
- 10:58Speaker 4: I understand what you're saying, but I'm not going to
- 11:02Speaker 4: do what you want anyway. Now, the first response, you
- 11:09Speaker 4: can say, they're confused, right, it might be a little
- 11:13Speaker 4: confusion involved. But the second response is straight up rebellion,
- 11:18Speaker 4: and that is demonic. And we have to be honest
- 11:22Speaker 4: with ourselves. Sometimes we already know what God wants us
- 11:27Speaker 4: to do, we just don't want to do it. You know,
- 11:32Speaker 4: I can respect someone who is honest about it, and
- 11:36Speaker 4: I believe God can respect that because he says, I
- 11:40Speaker 4: wish you were either hot or cool or cold, But
- 11:45Speaker 4: the lukewarm he's gonna spit out of his mouth.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Sometimes we don't need another Bible study. We need to
- 11:54Speaker 4: obey the Bible study we already heard. Hey, man is
- 11:59Speaker 4: now necessarily gaining more knowledge and more information. It's what
- 12:04Speaker 4: are you doing with what you already know? And we
- 12:13Speaker 4: are accountable for what we know Verse thirteen. Therefore, thus
- 12:21Speaker 4: says the Lord, ask now among the gentiles who has
- 12:26Speaker 4: heard such things, the version of Israel has done a
- 12:32Speaker 4: very horrible thing. Okay, okay, now ask ye, now among
- 12:43Speaker 4: the heathen who has heard such things. Now he describes
- 12:49Speaker 4: what Judah had done as something shocking, and I can
- 12:56Speaker 4: believe so why because guys, people had turned earn away
- 13:02Speaker 4: from the God who had been faithful to them. Now,
- 13:09Speaker 4: I mean, when you just consider that these are God's people,
- 13:12Speaker 4: this isn't the nation of Israel. And this is how
- 13:16Speaker 4: they're treating God, the God that brought them out of Egypt,
- 13:20Speaker 4: who brought them across the Red Sea, the God who
- 13:24Speaker 4: did many miracles for them. And this is like their
- 13:28Speaker 4: heart and response. This shows the depravity of the human heart.
- 13:33Speaker 3: But love it.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Let's make sure we don't treat God this way. Once
- 13:36Speaker 4: He's delivered us, and He's done so much for us
- 13:39Speaker 4: in our lives. Amen. As we think about it, God
- 13:45Speaker 4: protected them, delivered them, He provided for them. God has
- 13:50Speaker 4: given them his word. God has established a covenant with them,
- 13:54Speaker 4: and yet they turn away. That's why spiritual forgetfulness is.
- 14:00Speaker 4: It's so dangerous. See God. I mean, the devil doesn't
- 14:04Speaker 4: necessarily want to fill your heart with hatred towards God.
- 14:08Speaker 4: He just wants you to forget about who God is
- 14:12Speaker 4: and what He's done for us. Right, But yet they
- 14:18Speaker 4: still turned away. That's why we really need to remember.
- 14:24Speaker 4: I have monuments. I have different things. When God has
- 14:27Speaker 4: brought me through something, I have something to remind myself
- 14:32Speaker 4: of God's hand on God's work in my life. Amen.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Sometimes we just streight up don't appreciate what God has
- 14:43Speaker 4: done because we're too focused on what we want him
- 14:47Speaker 4: to do next. We forget yesterday's blessing because we're complaining
- 14:54Speaker 4: about today's problem. Wow, I've been there so many times.
- 15:00Speaker 4: That is convicting. We forget the prayer God already answered
- 15:07Speaker 4: because we're worried about the prayer he's still working on. Wow.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Can anybody relate? Do not allow today's circumstances to make
- 15:21Speaker 4: you forget yesterday's faithfulness. Hallelujah, Thank you Lord. God is
- 15:29Speaker 4: so good. All right, let's hit verse fourteen. Will a
- 15:40Speaker 4: man leave the snow water in Lebanon which comes from
- 15:45Speaker 4: the rock of the field. Will the cold flowing waters
- 15:50Speaker 4: be forsaken for strange waters? Now, that's another question, and
- 15:57Speaker 4: that's another illustration. God is such an amazing teacher a man.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Now he gives you Amaia, another picture from nature, and
- 16:11Speaker 4: he talks about the snow remaining in the mountains of Lebanon,
- 16:15Speaker 4: and the cold water is flowing down from the mountains.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Now that sounds good, especially for those of us who
- 16:23Speaker 4: live in Las Vegas. Right our water is just drying
- 16:27Speaker 4: up out here and so unable to have this type
- 16:33Speaker 4: of situation and not appreciate it. I'm pretty sure people
- 16:38Speaker 4: here in Nevada, could, you know, feel some type of way, right.
- 16:45Speaker 4: But you know, he's pointing to nature. The nature follows
- 16:50Speaker 4: the order that God has established, is what he's trying
- 16:54Speaker 4: to say. But his people had abandoned the order that
- 16:58Speaker 4: he gave them. Now, there's a huge contrast between the
- 17:07Speaker 4: consistency of nature and the consistency of God's people. The
- 17:12Speaker 4: natural order remains dependable for the most part, But yet
- 17:18Speaker 4: Judah had abandoned the Lord despite God's faithfulness to his
- 17:24Speaker 4: very own people. I mean, no wonder why their attitude
- 17:30Speaker 4: is like, We're gonna do what we want.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Now.
- 17:35Speaker 4: But that's something to think about. The creation obeys the
- 17:38Speaker 4: order that God has established. The sun rises, the seasons change,
- 17:43Speaker 4: water flows according to the pattern that God is created, right,
- 17:48Speaker 4: But human beings, he has problems with us, and we
- 17:52Speaker 4: were created to know God and we can decide. I'm
- 17:58Speaker 4: going to do things my way. I have free will,
- 18:04Speaker 4: but free will doesn't eliminate consequences. You can choose your
- 18:09Speaker 4: own direction, but you cannot always choose where that direction
- 18:16Speaker 4: takes you. You cannot choose your own consequences verse fifteen.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Because my people have forgotten me. They have burned incense
- 18:34Speaker 4: to worthless idols, and they have caused themselves to stumble
- 18:39Speaker 4: in their ways from the ancient past, to walk and pass,
- 18:47Speaker 4: and not on a highway, to walk in past and
- 18:53Speaker 4: not on a highway. All right, let's break that down.
- 19:00Speaker 4: My people have forgotten me. Now that is probably the
- 19:04Speaker 4: most heartbreaking verse in this episode. Now, this is one
- 19:14Speaker 4: of the saddest statements in this passage, because my people
- 19:21Speaker 4: have forgotten me. The power of forgetfulness. That's why we
- 19:26Speaker 4: need to remind ourselves. We need to memorize scriptures, we
- 19:30Speaker 4: need to stay in the word. But think about those words.
- 19:36Speaker 4: My people. God wasn't talking about strangers. He was talking
- 19:42Speaker 4: about people who belong to him, And he says they
- 19:47Speaker 4: have forgotten me, not simply forgotten his rules, not simply
- 19:53Speaker 4: forgotten his commandments. They have forgotten him altogether. Now there
- 20:02Speaker 4: is where religion can become dangerous. You can know about
- 20:08Speaker 4: God without actually walking with God. Wow, let me say
- 20:12Speaker 4: this again. We can know about God but not actually
- 20:21Speaker 4: walk with him. We can know Bible verses and still
- 20:26Speaker 4: drift away from the God who wrote them. We can
- 20:32Speaker 4: go to church and still forget God. You can listen
- 20:38Speaker 4: to Christian music and still forget about God. You can
- 20:47Speaker 4: even be involved in ministry and still let your relationship
- 20:51Speaker 4: with God. It becomes secondary. The goal isn't simply to
- 20:57Speaker 4: know about God. The goal is to know God, to
- 21:03Speaker 4: know who He is, and to know Him in his fullness. Amen.
- 21:10Speaker 4: That is tragic and heartbreaking to go to church all
- 21:13Speaker 4: your life just to end up in hell because you
- 21:21Speaker 4: didn't take time to build a relationship with God. All right,
- 21:31Speaker 4: verse sixteen. To make their land desolate and to perpetual
- 21:44Speaker 4: hissing and a perpetual hissing. Everyone who passes by it
- 21:49Speaker 4: will be astonished and shake their heads. Because, let me
- 21:59Speaker 4: jump back to fifty team on them, because my people
- 22:01Speaker 4: have forgotten me. They have burned instant to work as idols,
- 22:06Speaker 4: and they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways
- 22:09Speaker 4: from the ancient past, to walk in the past and
- 22:13Speaker 4: not on the high way. To make them set their
- 22:17Speaker 4: land desolate and a perpetual hissing. Everyone who passed by
- 22:22Speaker 4: it will be astonished and shake their head. Wow, everyone
- 22:30Speaker 4: who passed by it will be astonished and shake their head. Now,
- 22:33Speaker 4: God says there land will become desolate. People would look
- 22:38Speaker 4: at what happened to them, and they will be astonished.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Their land would become something people would look at and
- 22:47Speaker 4: shake their heads over. Wow, man, when you really think
- 22:54Speaker 4: about that, right judgment, The judgment that Jeremiah was announcing
- 23:04Speaker 4: was connected to judas persistent rejection of God. There is
- 23:12Speaker 4: a consequence to rejecting God. So their destruction would serve
- 23:19Speaker 4: as a testimony of what happens when a nation repeatedly
- 23:23Speaker 4: turns away from God's way. Hey, man, God's judgment wasn't
- 23:32Speaker 4: something that was random. He warned them over and over again.
- 23:36Speaker 4: He gave them opportunity to repent. He sent prophets, he
- 23:41Speaker 4: gave them his word from they continue to reject him.
- 23:49Speaker 4: That's why we shouldn't take God's warnings lightly. When God
- 23:55Speaker 4: keeps telling you to change something, don't assume you have
- 24:00Speaker 4: unlimited time. Respond while your heart is still sensitive to
- 24:07Speaker 4: the word of God. Amen, respond while you can.
- 24:14Speaker 5: It looks like you.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Lost another one?
- 24:19Speaker 4: All right? Verse seventeen. I will scatter them as with
- 24:26Speaker 4: an east wind before the enemy. I will show them
- 24:33Speaker 4: the back and not the face, in the day of
- 24:37Speaker 4: their calamity. All right, let's break this down. I will
- 24:48Speaker 4: scatter them, God says, I will scatter them as with
- 24:53Speaker 4: an east wind before the enemy. Now he describes turning
- 24:59Speaker 4: his faith away from them in the day of their calamity.
- 25:04Speaker 4: This is a picture of judgment. If people had turned
- 25:09Speaker 4: their backs on God, now they would experience the consequences
- 25:14Speaker 4: of that rejection. Now there's something very serious we have
- 25:20Speaker 4: to look at here. God is loving, God is merciful,
- 25:26Speaker 4: God is a patient God. But God is also holy.
- 25:35Speaker 4: We can't talk about God's love while pretending this holiness
- 25:41Speaker 4: does not exist. And it's sad to say that a
- 25:46Speaker 4: lot of pastors preach exactly like this. People don't want
- 25:53Speaker 4: to touch on the holiness of God. They just want
- 25:57Speaker 4: to touch on the love of God.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Right.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Grace does not mean that sin doesn't matter. And mercy
- 26:08Speaker 4: gives us an opportunity to repent of our sin, not
- 26:13Speaker 4: continue in it, not give a license or an excuse
- 26:17Speaker 4: for it. But we shouldn't mistake mercy for permission to
- 26:27Speaker 4: keep doing whatever we want to do. And we say
- 26:33Speaker 4: that again, we cannot mistake mercy for permission to keep
- 26:37Speaker 4: doing whatever we want to do. Now, the point is,
- 26:44Speaker 4: do not forget God. The heart of Jeremiah eighteen twelve
- 26:51Speaker 4: through seventeen is this, don't forget the one who had
- 26:56Speaker 4: been faithful to you, Judah for God God. And they
- 27:02Speaker 4: chose their own way, They followed their own desires, they
- 27:09Speaker 4: worship worthless things, and eventually they had to face the consequences.
- 27:17Speaker 4: So today, ask yourself, have I forgotten God? Not physically,
- 27:24Speaker 4: not intellectually, but in the way that I live? Has
- 27:31Speaker 4: God become something I fit into my schedule instead of
- 27:35Speaker 4: the one around whom I build my life? Let me
- 27:42Speaker 4: ask that question again. Has God become something I fit
- 27:47Speaker 4: into my schedule instead of the one around whom I
- 27:53Speaker 4: build my life. That's a question worth answering. Honestly, that's
- 28:03Speaker 4: a good question for the accountability partner as well. I
- 28:08Speaker 4: belove it. Let's take a break.
- 28:12Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 28:15Speaker 5: is the hiss hop radio show.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Such your fun direction. When I wake up in the morning,
- 28:32Speaker 2: I go praying.
- 28:33Speaker 6: I see it can't afford to let nobody play with
- 28:36Speaker 6: my piece. When my life get on the roll, I
- 28:38Speaker 6: end up breaking the streak that I'm afraid to get into.
- 28:41Speaker 6: Old for facing my peak every birthday make me feel
- 28:44Speaker 6: like LiF's been moving too fast. I feel like I
- 28:46Speaker 6: just turned thirty. Now that's deep in the past. If
- 28:49Speaker 6: life a highway, feel like I'm doing a dash when
- 28:51Speaker 6: I ain't living. God, wait what I'm gonna do when
- 28:53Speaker 6: I crash isolated from family, I be too out of touch.
- 28:57Speaker 6: Me and my daddy on then turns. But when you're
- 28:59Speaker 6: talking that much, he the only one I know. That's
- 29:02Speaker 6: why I showing respect. I want to call that man
- 29:04Speaker 6: right now, but something holdly me back. I got fot
- 29:07Speaker 6: that's calling me dad, and I'm doing my best. Every
- 29:09Speaker 6: week I'm up another bag. I told them they blessed man.
- 29:12Speaker 6: I say I'm too hard on them.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Some say I'm.
- 29:14Speaker 6: Correct, but I can't let the devil fall on them.
- 29:17Speaker 6: I stay on they neck. I don't ask for much
- 29:19Speaker 6: because I got issues with rejection.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Don't repent enough. I be hoping. I'm stelf protected.
- 29:24Speaker 6: I've been in a war today with all my imperfections
- 29:27Speaker 6: in the darkest place, searching for an accent. I'm searching
- 29:30Speaker 6: for direction, direction, searching for direction. I'm searching for direction
- 29:42Speaker 6: every time I see myself in the mirror. All this
- 29:45Speaker 6: guilt within my visions, so where it ain't getting clearer
- 29:48Speaker 6: doing everything God hate, don't even act like I fear
- 29:50Speaker 6: him on the outside, I'm straight, but it don't.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Match the interior thought.
- 29:54Speaker 6: I figured out the play, but still can't even obey thought.
- 29:57Speaker 6: I figured out the way, yet I've been sitting in
- 29:59Speaker 6: place good. I had a record label that I went
- 30:01Speaker 6: the wrong way. It seemed like Garay Day, most stable
- 30:04Speaker 6: when I do my own things. When I watched my
- 30:06Speaker 6: brother pat, that reminded me of why I changed. I
- 30:09Speaker 6: got my father's habits combined with my mother's ways. Can't
- 30:12Speaker 6: blame my father actions for anything causing pain. I done
- 30:15Speaker 6: found a narrow path, but it feels like I'm selling
- 30:17Speaker 6: chains in the vehicle.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Of righteousness, moving until I wrecked it. I knew all
- 30:21Speaker 2: the laws to a bide too, but I left it.
- 30:23Speaker 6: I've been in the war today with all my imperfections,
- 30:26Speaker 6: in the darkest place, searching for an exit.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I'm searching for direction. I'm searching for direction. I'm searching search.
- 30:52Speaker 5: You are listening to the Light of Las Vegas. This
- 30:56Speaker 5: is the hiss Hop Radio Show.
- 31:16Speaker 2: All right, beloved.
- 31:17Speaker 4: That was our brother hering the light, helping us out
- 31:22Speaker 4: with the music break here on his high Radio podcast.
- 31:25Speaker 4: This is verse by verse. I'm your brother, I'm your host,
- 31:30Speaker 4: mister hits Hop. I gonna give a quick shout out
- 31:33Speaker 4: to the live chat. Shout out to our brother's own three,
- 31:37Speaker 4: our trivia champ from yesterday. We appreciate you, brother, keep
- 31:42Speaker 4: up the good work. Also, shout out to our brother Corinth.
- 31:47Speaker 4: He came through to say what's up in the live chat.
- 31:52Speaker 4: We are still working out our community situation. We're going
- 31:58Speaker 4: back and forth from our YouTube community back to the
- 32:03Speaker 4: live chat. On the his Hot Radio app. You can
- 32:07Speaker 4: find the community in the menu on the his Hot
- 32:12Speaker 4: Radio app. Just pick that top left menu, get that
- 32:16Speaker 4: drive down and go all the way down until you
- 32:19Speaker 4: see the word community and you can jump in right
- 32:25Speaker 4: there on that tab. That's where you're gonna find the trivia,
- 32:30Speaker 4: the accountability challenge, all that good stuff. And I don't know,
- 32:37Speaker 4: I need some feedback. Let me know, my brothers. If
- 32:41Speaker 4: y'all like the community on YouTube, I don't know. I'm
- 32:45Speaker 4: just thinking about bringing everything back to the live chat
- 32:49Speaker 4: until we get everything squared away. Maybe we could use
- 32:52Speaker 4: it for other things. I don't know what you guys think.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Get me with some feedback. Speaking of feedback, it is
- 33:02Speaker 4: time for the accountability partner. This is where we can
- 33:09Speaker 4: build borders and keep ourselves safe on this spiritual journey.
- 33:14Speaker 4: The Bible calls us dumb sheep, and so we cannot
- 33:20Speaker 4: trust the dictates of our own hearts. We see this
- 33:24Speaker 4: and the passage that we're reading today, they deliberately said
- 33:27Speaker 4: that they're going to follow the dictates of their own
- 33:31Speaker 4: evil heart, like they preferred that rather than doing things
- 33:36Speaker 4: God's way. And as I think about it, as I
- 33:41Speaker 4: was teaching the eulogy, and this was actually the message
- 33:47Speaker 4: God has been dealing with me on how we can
- 33:50Speaker 4: follow the dictates of our own heart. And unfortunately, when
- 33:55Speaker 4: I was teaching, we could see the people who decided
- 33:59Speaker 4: to follow their own hearts by their reaction and by
- 34:04Speaker 4: their attitudes. Amen. So the challenge for the accountability partner
- 34:14Speaker 4: is this, ask your accountability partner, what is the one
- 34:24Speaker 4: thing you think could distract me from keeping God first
- 34:29Speaker 4: in my life? I mean I say again, what is
- 34:33Speaker 4: the one thing you think could distract me from keeping
- 34:38Speaker 4: God first for my life? Then have an honest conversation
- 34:44Speaker 4: about it. The purpose is not to criticize each other,
- 34:50Speaker 4: but it's to help each other recognize blind spots before
- 34:57Speaker 4: those distractions become idols. Hey man, we don't want any
- 35:04Speaker 4: distraction to become an idol in our life. Also, we
- 35:17Speaker 4: want to let you know that his Hot Radio is
- 35:19Speaker 4: a monitored in a reporting radio station. If you want
- 35:24Speaker 4: to get your music out there, go to the website
- 35:27Speaker 4: his hot nation dot com. Hit that submissions tab and
- 35:31Speaker 4: send us your music and check out our promo package
- 35:35Speaker 4: is very affordable. We are not here to break the bank. Okay,
- 35:48Speaker 4: here is our trivia challenge for today. Now look up
- 36:01Speaker 4: you find the answer to the question right all right,
- 36:14Speaker 4: so we're gonna give you the passage. You're gonna give
- 36:19Speaker 4: you the reference. Look it up, study it now you
- 36:27Speaker 4: can find the answer to today's trivia and Jeremiah eighteen.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Read verses thirteen through fifteen and answer this question according
- 36:40Speaker 4: to these verses, what does God say his people had forgotten?
- 36:47Speaker 4: And what had they turned to instead? And you read
- 36:52Speaker 4: it again according to these verses, what does God say
- 36:57Speaker 4: his people had forgotten? What had they turned to instead
- 37:03Speaker 4: of God? Now open your Bible, read the passage, find
- 37:08Speaker 4: the answer, and remember we're looking for the next His
- 37:13Speaker 4: Bible Trivia Champion. A new champion will be announced each
- 37:19Speaker 4: day on the His Hot Radio podcast. So study the word,
- 37:24Speaker 4: take the challenge, and become the champion for today. And
- 37:29Speaker 4: we want to shout out Zone three because he's been
- 37:33Speaker 4: holding it down. He is the one who got the
- 37:37Speaker 4: trivia for yesterday. He actually posted it on the YouTube
- 37:43Speaker 4: community page. But bruh, if you want to post it
- 37:46Speaker 4: in a life chat today, go right ahead. Now, I
- 37:56Speaker 4: want you to think about this. It has the potential
- 38:00Speaker 4: to become more important to you than your relationship with God. Now,
- 38:07Speaker 4: be honest, Sometimes the things that distract us from God
- 38:15Speaker 4: isn't something bad. Sometimes it's something that is good actually,
- 38:21Speaker 4: that we've allowed to become more important than God. Hey man,
- 38:32Speaker 4: as you think about that question, let's go ahead, let's
- 38:37Speaker 4: get them. Just let you know that this how Radio
- 38:43Speaker 4: is a monitored in a reporting radio station. I already
- 38:46Speaker 4: said that It's how Radio is a five to one
- 38:49Speaker 4: C three nonprofit organization. We're looking to relaunch, reopen club
- 38:53Speaker 4: his Hout Las Vegas. If you would like to support
- 38:58Speaker 4: us in that, if God is placing on your heart,
- 39:01Speaker 4: you can support us. You can donate on our website,
- 39:05Speaker 4: his hobnation dot com, well on the app, his Hot
- 39:09Speaker 4: radio and all platforms, and you can even check out
- 39:12Speaker 4: our nonprofit side of the house if you go to
- 39:16Speaker 4: our nonprofit website, his hot nation dot org RG and
- 39:23Speaker 4: as we do so, we hope and pray that you
- 39:29Speaker 4: will prayerfully consider supporting us. We have a building fund
- 39:34Speaker 4: we're looking to reopen and to relaunch of his Hot
- 39:38Speaker 4: Las Vegas. Also, if you want to come to our events,
- 39:47Speaker 4: this is our community shout out. Check out our calendar
- 39:51Speaker 4: on the website. We have an event at Dolittle September twelfth.
- 39:58Speaker 4: We also have an event in August August twenty ninth
- 40:02Speaker 4: at the Resort World. We have an event in October.
- 40:07Speaker 4: We have an event just about every month before the
- 40:12Speaker 4: end of the year, so we definitely could use volunteers.
- 40:17Speaker 4: If you're an artist and you would like to come
- 40:19Speaker 4: to minister at some of these events, hit us up
- 40:22Speaker 4: on our website, his hot nation dot com so we
- 40:24Speaker 4: can get you on the list. And I believe that's it,
- 40:41Speaker 4: belove it. It's time for our closing remarks for today.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Jeremiah eighteen twelve through seventeen is a serious warning that
- 41:00Speaker 4: we need to take hey to God's people had reached
- 41:03Speaker 4: a place where they weren't interested in changing their lives.
- 41:08Speaker 4: They said that they were going to follow their own path.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Then the whole point is that they forgot about God.
- 41:18Speaker 4: They turned to worthless things, right like worshiping worthless idols
- 41:25Speaker 4: which we know will not profit and will not benefit.
- 41:31Speaker 4: And they abandoned their relationship with God. They forgot about
- 41:35Speaker 4: God himself. But here's a lesson. Don't wait until you're
- 41:42Speaker 4: drifted far away to recognize that you're far from God.
- 41:47Speaker 4: Check your heart now, hey man. That's one of my
- 41:52Speaker 4: prayers is God showed me me, showed me my heart.
- 41:56Speaker 4: And when God shows you your heart, then respond repent
- 42:03Speaker 4: and turn away if it's something that is displeasing in
- 42:08Speaker 4: his sight, hey man. And see the issue I believe
- 42:18Speaker 4: is this, Like I said earlier, the devil doesn't fill
- 42:23Speaker 4: our hearts with hatred towards God. He just distracts us
- 42:29Speaker 4: so much to where we forget about God. We do
- 42:34Speaker 4: not allow God to be our priority. As he is
- 42:38Speaker 4: supposed to be right. So a good self check, A
- 42:44Speaker 4: good thing to do is ask yourself, am I still
- 42:47Speaker 4: seeking him? Am I still listening to his voice? And
- 42:52Speaker 4: my still obeying him? Am I still grateful for what
- 42:56Speaker 4: he has already done? Do not allow success to make
- 43:01Speaker 4: you forget God. Do not allow disappointment to make you
- 43:06Speaker 4: forget about God. Do not allow busyness to make you
- 43:12Speaker 4: forget about God. There's actually a verse in the Book
- 43:17Speaker 4: of Psalms. I can't think of the address, but there's
- 43:21Speaker 4: a verse that says that all nations who forget about
- 43:24Speaker 4: God will be turned into hell. Just forgetting about God
- 43:29Speaker 4: qualifies us to make it into hell and disqualifies us
- 43:39Speaker 4: from making it into the kingdom. We do not want
- 43:41Speaker 4: to miss the kingdom, and don't allow your own desires
- 43:48Speaker 4: to become more important than his will. Remember what God
- 43:55Speaker 4: has done, remember his faithfulness, remember his word, and more
- 44:00Speaker 4: most importantly, remember him. Stay in the word, stay humble,
- 44:07Speaker 4: stay close to God, and do not forget the one
- 44:14Speaker 4: who never forgot about you. Amen. The Bible says that
- 44:21Speaker 4: He will never leave us nor forsake us. This is
- 44:27Speaker 4: the most amazing relationship that we could ever have in
- 44:32Speaker 4: all eternity. Well, let's not neglect him, all right, belove it.
- 44:38Speaker 4: That is my time for today. And remember it's not
- 44:42Speaker 4: about us. It's all about the Christ. And as God bless.
- 44:57Speaker 5: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 45:01Speaker 5: is the His Hop radio show.
