Speaker 1: Welcome to today's edition of Reflection on the Word with
• 0:50
Speaker 1: Richard K. I'm Chuck Christie, and today we are asking

• 0:59
Speaker 1: and story along with some of his own personal experiences,
• 1:02
Speaker 1: to confirm for you God's great love for us, that
• 1:05
Speaker 1: his compassion for us never fails, and that He has
• 1:08
Speaker 1: a great faithfulness toward us in every regard. Now, if
• 1:11
Speaker 1: you miss a portion of today's broadcast or would like
• 1:13
Speaker 1: to recommend it to a friend, you can hear this
• 1:16
Speaker 1: program anytime online at Talknetwork Radio dot com. Well, now
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: here's Richard with today's reflection.
• 1:24
Speaker 2: But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each
• 1:27
Speaker 2: one for the profit of all. For to one is
• 1:31
Speaker 2: given the word of wisdom through the spirit to another,
• 1:34
Speaker 2: the word of knowledge through the same spirit to another,
• 1:38
Speaker 2: Faith by the same spirit to another, gifts of healings
• 1:42
Speaker 2: by the same spirit to another, the working of miracles
• 1:46
Speaker 2: to another, prophecy to another, discerning of spirits to another,
• 1:52
Speaker 2: different kinds of tongues to another, the interpretation of tongues
• 1:57
Speaker 2: but one and the same spirit works all these things,
• 2:02
Speaker 2: distributing to each one individually as he wills. As we
• 2:09
Speaker 2: continue our study of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit,
• 2:15
Speaker 2: we have already mentioned this gift, and it is very
• 2:20
Speaker 2: significant that this is the one gift that shows up
• 2:26
Speaker 2: in both areas of God's character and manifestation of the Spirit.
• 2:35
Speaker 2: The gift of faith also shows up in the fruit
• 2:41
Speaker 2: of the Spirit, as in this way we can see
• 2:46
Speaker 2: that there is a flowing of God's character directly into
• 2:52
Speaker 2: the believer, and by the Holy Spirit is empowered to
• 2:59
Speaker 2: do the works that He provides. The gift of faith
• 3:06
Speaker 2: is one the Bible tells us that we all have
• 3:11
Speaker 2: a certain measure of faith. It's already been given to
• 3:16
Speaker 2: us by the Lord. Now God has given each person
• 3:21
Speaker 2: a certain measure of faith, or we would not be
• 3:25
Speaker 2: able to get saved. The Bible tells us that we
• 3:29
Speaker 2: are saved by faith through the grace of God, and then,
• 3:36
Speaker 2: of course our walk with the Lord. Our faith will
• 3:40
Speaker 2: continue to grow even more as we continue to grow
• 3:45
Speaker 2: closer to the Lord on our own personal relationship, we
• 3:51
Speaker 2: increase our knowledge levels about Him through the study of
• 3:57
Speaker 2: the Scripture. However, there will be times that our own
• 4:02
Speaker 2: levels of faith in the Lord will not be enough
• 4:07
Speaker 2: to get the job done with what he may be
• 4:10
Speaker 2: asking us to do for him. There is many examples
• 4:17
Speaker 2: of the gift of faith. It takes special faith to
• 4:24
Speaker 2: do things that are not natural. Let's say that God
• 4:29
Speaker 2: has been manifesting the gifts of healings through you, and
• 4:34
Speaker 2: from time to time you've actually witnessed him healing people
• 4:39
Speaker 2: of perhaps minor ailments or illnesses, and you have seen
• 4:45
Speaker 2: this occur with a few people. Your confidence in your
• 4:50
Speaker 2: faith level are actually starting to build because God is
• 4:55
Speaker 2: now starting to use you in this manner, and you
• 5:00
Speaker 2: you now have had a few good successes on these
• 5:05
Speaker 2: smaller or lesser illnesses. But then all of a sudden,
• 5:12
Speaker 2: God tells you to walk up to a paraplegic, lay
• 5:16
Speaker 2: hands on him, and then command him to get out
• 5:21
Speaker 2: of his wheelchair and start walking. All of a sudden,
• 5:26
Speaker 2: you can immediately sense in your mind and in your
• 5:30
Speaker 2: spirit that your own levels of faith are not going
• 5:34
Speaker 2: to be enough or high enough to try and do this,
• 5:40
Speaker 2: as you have never tried to heal someone of something
• 5:44
Speaker 2: like this before. And this is where the Holy Spirit
• 5:50
Speaker 2: will now be powerfully moving so this miracle can be
• 5:55
Speaker 2: fully accomplished for the Lord. The Holy Spirit will then
• 6:00
Speaker 2: manifest his own divine faith right up unto you, so
• 6:07
Speaker 2: you can now believe and operate on that faith. So
• 6:12
Speaker 2: you will now have the actual courage to walk up
• 6:17
Speaker 2: to this person, lay hands on him, and then tell
• 6:22
Speaker 2: him to get out of that wheelchair and start walking.
• 6:27
Speaker 2: Sometimes it will take higher levels of faith to pull
• 6:31
Speaker 2: down a major miracle from the Lord, and where our
• 6:35
Speaker 2: faith levels will not be high enough or good enough
• 6:38
Speaker 2: to be able to do this. That is where the
• 6:41
Speaker 2: direct faith of the Holy Spirit himself will then move
• 6:46
Speaker 2: into us and pick up the part that we are
• 6:51
Speaker 2: not able to provide with our own imperfect faith levels.
• 6:56
Speaker 2: God will receive the glory when He manifest this miracle
• 7:02
Speaker 2: through us. Sometimes God may ask you to do something
• 7:08
Speaker 2: that's totally out of your comfort zone. Sometimes fear and
• 7:13
Speaker 2: panic will immediately set in because you've never done what
• 7:18
Speaker 2: He is now asking you to do. If and when
• 7:23
Speaker 2: this should ever happen to you, just ask the Holy
• 7:27
Speaker 2: Spirit to manifest his faith. Courage and boldness will come
• 7:33
Speaker 2: to you so you will have his faith, strength and
• 7:38
Speaker 2: courage to do what God is asking you to do
• 7:44
Speaker 2: for him. The gift of faith could be a lifesaver
• 7:50
Speaker 2: depending on what God may be asking you to do
• 7:54
Speaker 2: for him. If God is asking you to go into
• 7:58
Speaker 2: a burning building to rescue a child, there will be
• 8:03
Speaker 2: a very good chance that the Holy Spirit will immediately
• 8:07
Speaker 2: manifest his faith encourage into you so that you can
• 8:13
Speaker 2: take on this dangerous assignment. Firemen, policeman and our military
• 8:20
Speaker 2: especially need this particular gift to help them do heroic acts,
• 8:27
Speaker 2: as many of them could easily let fear and panic
• 8:30
Speaker 2: set in and then they would not be able to
• 8:35
Speaker 2: perform a major rescue operation. Again, there are wide varieties
• 8:44
Speaker 2: of situations and circumstances where you will need this gift
• 8:48
Speaker 2: to be manifested in you by the Holy Spirit. That
• 8:54
Speaker 2: is why the Holy Spirit is called the helper in
• 8:58
Speaker 2: the Bible, so he can help you with a lot
• 9:02
Speaker 2: of different areas in your daily life where you will
• 9:07
Speaker 2: have trouble dealing with them naturally. The gift of faith
• 9:13
Speaker 2: is where you will step out into regions that are unknown,
• 9:20
Speaker 2: where you will not see that you can make this step,
• 9:26
Speaker 2: but you're trusting in God and the Holy Spirit will
• 9:30
Speaker 2: not let you down.
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Richard will be right back in a moment to wrap up.
• 9:37
Speaker 1: But if you've just joined us, you've been listening to
• 9:39
Speaker 1: Reflections on the Word with Richard K. You can hear

• 10:18
Speaker 1: to wrap up today's message.
• 10:22
Speaker 2: When the Holy Spirit manifests the Gift of Faith in you,
• 10:27
Speaker 2: supernatural results will occur regardless of what anybody else may
• 10:34
Speaker 2: think or do. The Holy Spirit will lead you and
• 10:40
Speaker 2: guide you into all truth, and he will never ever
• 10:47
Speaker 2: go against God's word. When you operate in the gift
• 10:53
Speaker 2: of faith, you are operating in the realm that pleases God.
• 11:01
Speaker 2: Or without faith, it is impossible to please God. It
• 11:08
Speaker 2: is by faith that we walk and not by sight
• 11:15
Speaker 2: and that is today's Reflection on the word.
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Thank you, Richard. Join us again tomorrow when we continue
