Latest / DiceSized / Wish Hunter #25: Epilogue - The Lucky Few
Transcript
- 0:15Welcome to Die Sized and welcome back to the final episode of
- 0:19Wish Hunter. This will be our epilogue folks.
- 0:22But don't worry, this is still me, your DM and friend Rob
- 0:25Whitehead. And with me, as always, is my
- 0:26lovely table friends and family. Here we of course have my
- 0:28brother George. Hey, it's G playing parable
- 0:31question mark. Yes, yes you are.
- 0:34We are staying in character today.
- 0:35We will be sunsetting this beautiful campaign to be put on
- 0:39the shelf for a later. Time.
- 0:40I just wanted to say goodbye. To my friends, you get a chance
- 0:42here at Parable, and though I don't want to, we got to say
- 0:45goodbye to these characters. And one person who I know is a
- 0:47character in my life I never want to say goodbye to is Maya.
- 0:51Hey, it's Maya. You can call me Maya.
- 0:53That was so nice and. I say goodbye to you too.
- 0:58And Zen doesn't want to say goodbye to her friends.
- 1:01So don't. I won't.
- 1:03I don't think, to be honest, I don't think any of us are really
- 1:05going anywhere. But in terms of the world that
- 1:09we used to know, we are on to the next.
- 1:13To be continued. Yes, yes, we will be starting
- 1:15there, I think with the creation of said world and surrounding
- 1:19universe. But then I think we'll be doing
- 1:21some time skips as well. Just get a good feeling of
- 1:24resolution with these characters so maybe they end up together.
- 1:28But don't be afraid to take your own solo journeys y'all, cause a
- 1:31lot of time we're passing. But one person who I know takes
- 1:34a lot of solo journeys, she goes to the boundary bars a lot.
- 1:37And like sometimes I'm just like home alone.
- 1:38I'm just like, why don't you take me to the Boundary waters,
- 1:41babe? Take me camping.
- 1:42We go camping a lot, but sometimes she goes on camping
- 1:44trips alone. Anyways, that's my lovely wife,
- 1:46Savannah. Sav here.
- 1:48Hey Rob, do you want to go on a canoeing trip this summer?
- 1:50That would be fantastic. Cassie's coming too.
- 1:55As she as she does in all of our car rides and elevator rides and
- 1:59anytime we have a chance to chit chat about it.
- 2:01Well, anytime you look up Cassiopeia's there.
- 2:04So, so true, especially in the boundary wonders especially,
- 2:07they're all up there and the big and little ladle, etcetera,
- 2:11etcetera. Cassie would like everyone at
- 2:13home to know that this episode pairs really, really well with a
- 2:17hot cup of tea. Ah, as do most things I think.
- 2:21And Cassie, that is one thing that you taught me throughout
- 2:24this campaign. I always thought Tea might be a
- 2:26little bit too slow paced for D&D, but then I realized that is
- 2:29a lot of what D&D is there's. Always time for tea.
- 2:33There's always time for tea, and why not slow down for a cup of
- 2:36it? Well, I read you this doozy of a
- 2:38recap. Last time our heroes escaped
- 2:43craves wrath, and plunged deeper into the broken heart of the
- 2:46broken Plane of Odd, finding themselves within a gallery of
- 2:49memory and regret. There, our heroes spoke with
- 2:52legendary heroes of old, Wizard Time and the Wizard luck, Soraya
- 2:56Syria. Newly freed from timeless
- 2:59stillness, she whispered both her guilt and her pride to
- 3:02Cassie. Cassie immediately offered her
- 3:04forgiveness, knowing that it was better to try and hope rather
- 3:07than give up to regret and despair.
- 3:10Her mother's awakening brought Cassie a reunion she had spent a
- 3:13lifetime wishing for, and with it the truth of their enemy as
- 3:16well. Grave was a God of obsession
- 3:18bent on becoming something worse, an elder element, a being
- 3:23with the power of a God, but without the restraints of
- 3:25divinity. The wizard Time, once revered as
- 3:28the Holy Light of Domi, nearly surrendered himself to despair,
- 3:30but the party convinced him to make a stand.
- 3:32Though he had little time to spare, he compressed what hours,
- 3:35minutes, and moments he could, and granted our heroes a long
- 3:38rest in an instant. With that, our heroes turned to
- 3:41free the fading spirits of favor and fortune.
- 3:44Yumi and Yami gave the last of their essence to strengthen them
- 3:48as they passed. Our heroes knew they had done
- 3:51well to give these spirits peace.
- 3:53Lastly, and for good reason, the very addled elder Sage Sagacious
- 3:57was left in stasis. Turning their eyes to the
- 4:00conflict ahead, Parable sought Bricks help once more.
- 4:02Mapping out the area as best he could, Brick identified two
- 4:05bright spots that radiated power.
- 4:07Nicks and more were able to identify them as primals, the
- 4:10element of voices that exist with an all noble Gen.
- 4:13With the stealthy sneeze, our heroes invisibly avoided Crave's
- 4:16gaze and found their way to the chambers that held these
- 4:19primals. While Flo, a primal of water,
- 4:21welcomed the party, EB was far from friendly.
- 4:26Though made of stone, EB turned out to be a real softie.
- 4:28Both Ebb and Flo felt that Wish had forgotten them, or perhaps
- 4:32just believed them to be quiet. Though they had long considered
- 4:35taking on an adventure of finding Azerza, the mortal
- 4:38aspect of Wish, they feared the wrath of Crave.
- 4:41Our heroes helped to calm Flow and Ebb and spurred them to
- 4:44movement, choosing loyalty to Zerza, the mortal aspect of
- 4:49Wish, instead of the mad God that had discarded Zerza.
- 4:52Ebb and Flow severed themselves from Crave, ripping away a
- 4:56colossal portion of his divinity.
- 4:58The glow shook, odd to its foundations.
- 5:01The end had begun. Then came the final
- 5:04confrontation, when they stepped again into odd shifting expanse.
- 5:08The air itself began to roar. The storm face of Crave
- 5:11materialized above them, and battle ignited.
- 5:14Parable struck first, hurling himself skyward, silver form
- 5:17shimmering with a flash of Ariel grace he carved into the
- 5:20divinity that Crave wore like armor.
- 5:22Astride Akuma's nightmare form, Zin ignited her blade dragon
- 5:26hot, and it craved with the hex of knowing that his primals had
- 5:29abandoned him. While Akuma breathed the blast
- 5:31of flame, Cassie rose on her thousand League cloud, burning
- 5:34bright with the Star Reformed constellation of a dragon.
- 5:36Evoking the visage of Safandria, she unleashed a fateful
- 5:39contagion that tore at Craves, constantly reshaping form, a
- 5:43blighting radiance that caused Craves face of storm and stone
- 5:46to crumble. Crave roared.
- 5:49The plane around them shudder, and the mad God tried to unmake
- 5:53them. He shaped stone and water into
- 5:55weapons, split the sky, struck with chains, and brought the
- 5:58wind itself to bear against them.
- 6:00Zinn stilled those chains while parables stilled those winds,
- 6:04and Cassie, with her charm of balance strengthened by her
- 6:06mother, turned the God's wrath right back at him.
- 6:09Then, in one terrible instant, Crave aimed at itself, at
- 6:13Cassie, a killing word that no mortal could endure.
- 6:18Zinn did not hesitate. Flames erupted from her like a
- 6:21memory set free, shaping into an elegant long necked dragon of
- 6:25fire that evoked memories of the inferno on her promised day long
- 6:30ago. Zinn stood between Cassie and
- 6:32annihilation and the killing spell died against the rage of
- 6:36her defiant roar back. The tide of the battle turned,
- 6:39Cassie hurled Crave's own power bucket, and burning bright with
- 6:42star songs, Zinn unleashed a fireball with all the power of
- 6:45the 9 howls behind it just as Cassie sent out a streaking line
- 6:49of lightning. Parable, spinning with the
- 6:51silvery might, drove the trimetal blade into Crave stone
- 6:53brow again and again. And at last Parable struck true.
- 6:57Their combined will shattered Crave's false godhood.
- 7:01The storm peeled away. Divinity fell like broken shards
- 7:05of glass. But Remain was only a man
- 7:07screaming into the winds that no longer obeyed him.
- 7:11Zin, Cassie, and Parable stood together, battered but unbroken,
- 7:16as the last fragments of Crave's divinity began to fall.
- 7:19Invoking his breath, Parable struck like a silvered falling
- 7:21star, just as Zin forged a circle of death, the flood of
- 7:25necrotic energies binding the false God with smoking chains of
- 7:28her own, and Cassie felt fate smile upon them.
- 7:31The end of his reign had come not by prophecy, not by gods,
- 7:35but by our heroes, these lucky few.
- 7:39Their story was no accident, and the next choice would be theirs
- 7:44alone. Odd collapse.
- 7:46Stars unraveled, reality tore open, and our heroes found
- 7:49themselves upon a dirt crossroads.
- 7:52With a simple stonewell and Raven as its keeper, Spekku
- 7:56spoke of the great responsibility of raising a
- 7:58world through the root and upon the world's tree.
- 8:02The entire universe, a cosmos of their own, would be created from
- 8:06their conceptual guidance. With the weight of unborn worlds
- 8:12upon them, our heroes spoke thus.
- 8:16I wish for something. New.
- 8:19With these words of power parables Zinn and Cassie Feld
- 8:22the first domino that would culminate with the creation of
- 8:26an entire cosmos, riding the search through the route and
- 8:29into the unformed universe that awaited their touch.
- 8:32Thus ended Wish Hunter book one. But don't worry, we are here for
- 8:35an epilogue as we rejoin our heroes now, as they rise beyond
- 8:40the under astral, beyond the three great wells of creation
- 8:44pass through the root of all things and into an existence
- 8:49waiting to be shaped. So players, let's give it some
- 8:53shape, y'all. First of all, welcome back to
- 8:56the the the campaign. It's the last time.
- 8:59How do you guys feel? Does anyone else smell cinnamon
- 9:03plum tea? Sorry I farted.
- 9:06Star farts. Zen.
- 9:11You. Are.
- 9:11Zen's gotten into her, her alchemy or.
- 9:15She's been sucking fingernails and sniffing farts.
- 9:18In my mind, this is like kind of like a primordial ooh soup that
- 9:21you're in right now and it's just like your consciousness.
- 9:23But I guess you could just be on the crossroads having tea and
- 9:26talk about farts. I guess as you must consider
- 9:29some things and power is being shaped within your hands.
- 9:35I kind of like the idea of a bunch of conscious goop just
- 9:37talking to yourself, talking about cinnamon plum tea, yeah.
- 9:41I think this moment is truly you guys sinking into your most
- 9:46primordial and natural senses when it comes to your type of
- 9:50magic, really falling into what it feels like when you arcanely
- 9:54push off one another, what it feels like to be dominari, and
- 9:58you guys have really practiced that this entire time.
- 10:00So we're going to make some important roles.
- 10:02The first of which is the resolution of the Great Wishing.
- 10:05Even though you've risen through the roots, there are some
- 10:08consequences that might happen for some of these domains.
- 10:12No so fair also. So I pre I pre rolled for the
- 10:17amount of clusters that I think theoretically most of the
- 10:20domains would have, you know, 2D6 for the two wells versus
- 10:24like 3D ten for the lands of favor or 6D10 for the lands of
- 10:28fortune, places that had long, long time to like build up
- 10:31power, especially lands of favor and fortune, obviously.
- 10:34So we're going to roll some D fours here, the most important
- 10:37of which is going to be your guys's.
- 10:39So let's start with that. OK, That is going to be 12
- 10:43clusters that you guys captured throughout the great.
- 10:45Wishing your living wishlings that lived at Callum's Crossing.
- 10:49We had that many. Yeah.
- 10:50Wow. We did a good job.
- 10:52How many D4? 12 total, so you can all roll 4
- 10:55together. The DC to remind everyone the
- 10:58way that the way that this works.
- 10:59We're doing ADC 30 check to see if you guys survive the great
- 11:04wishing or if the domain does, you've already risen through the
- 11:06route. So we know essentially that the
- 11:08domain survives. But if you fail this check, I
- 11:11will apply consequences through this process of ascension.
- 11:15Essentially like as you rise through the route and begin this
- 11:18process of world creation, Elder Evils and Elder goods of the
- 11:22underverse try to stop you attempting to alter or influence
- 11:26your the birth of your world in some way.
- 11:28Those damn demons. Yes.
- 11:30So let's see if you're able to hold. 40 fours each. 40 fours
- 11:33each need a total of a 30 otherwise consequences. 11/9.
- 11:4113. 33. Hell yeah.
- 11:45OK badass. The Domain of Callum's Crossing
- 11:50does survive. Would you guys like to roll for
- 11:52two wells as well? You can add just two more D4 on
- 11:54top of that. They rolled really well on their
- 11:57living wishes, so even after all of the siege warfare, they were
- 12:00still holding on to the energy of about 14 D 414 clusters of
- 12:05living wish energy. You guys can each roll one more,
- 12:08OK. Yeah.
- 12:09Thanks, Parable. So Cassie can roll 5D4 and Zinc
- 12:12can roll 5D4, and Parable you'll stick with 44. 9.
- 12:17With 54 damn. 14. OK, we're 12.
- 12:22Nice popping that up there. OK, what is that, a 343535?
- 12:28Nice. Thank you, math brother.
- 12:30Nice. Awesome.
- 12:31So 2 Wells and Callum's Crossing, obviously very near
- 12:34and dear to our hearts. So here's the thing.
- 12:38Domi has 64. 60 like 60. 660 that was so much candy in your
- 12:46mouth. You said that so nervously.
- 12:49OK, six. Yeah, so.
- 12:50That's fine. They can't.
- 12:52They math that math though. Math.
- 12:54Yeah, it doesn't given. Going to kill my parents just
- 12:59like that. No resolution, no.
- 13:01So this is not given the fact given the fact that you have
- 13:04control of the greater domain. They're protected from like the
- 13:07greater terrors of the underverse, but that doesn't
- 13:09mean that their land mass is able to hold itself together.
- 13:13So fair, yeah. I think it's more so a
- 13:16consequence here. But if all six are fours, and
- 13:18that's sort of like a crit. OK.
- 13:20Well, OK, you know what I will say.
- 13:22You want a couple extra. Oh, you want me to roll?
- 13:24Roll rolling 64. I you need two more, Yep.
- 13:27I will say that if you roll 4 fours, that's insane.
- 13:30I will consider that a success given that luck has shined down.
- 13:34So you need 4, but that's 4 out of 6.
- 13:37Come on, I just want to yell at my dad, 12. 3 fours so close, so
- 13:45close. But I, I, I will allow for
- 13:48advantage on this role for consequence here, which is going
- 13:50to be AD 12 here for me. And this D12 is going to
- 13:53determine the severity of the domain's collapse.
- 13:56Oh, good. Good.
- 13:57Good, good, good. Good.
- 13:58It is a possibility that it maintains stability if you roll
- 14:02higher enough on this D12. OK, sure.
- 14:08What's a six? I'm so excited about a six.
- 14:11And then I forgot it was AD 12. You have advantage on this D12,
- 14:15so you can do that once more. Can you see Adam No 7?
- 14:22Can she? Adam 7 actually does 7 actually
- 14:25does make the entire difference because so I'll read this full
- 14:30table. One to three would have been
- 14:31full domain collapse, no survivors.
- 14:34If you rolled 2 ones, I would have yeah.
- 14:36Then I would have like yeah, sorry, no, but luckily you did
- 14:40it. 4 to 6 domain instability and extreme and frequent
- 14:43Eldridge incursions. 7 to 11 domain stability and extreme and
- 14:50infrequent Eldridge incursion so.
- 14:53They they gotta sweat a little bit.
- 14:55The your dad. Especially, yeah, yeah,
- 14:57specifically the war that's. Like a year they get one, one
- 15:01Godzilla a year. He really likes his sword.
- 15:03He needs to use it. Yeah, I think the role of
- 15:06charisma, say, for the entire people of Domi.
- 15:09Ohh my stop it. Zen is like this is cruel.
- 15:13We're going to use the time dice for this.
- 15:15You know when people have conspiracy theories about people
- 15:17in a room dictating fame and all that shit?
- 15:19Yeah, I am using my My Wizard Time dice for this just so it's
- 15:25not Zen's fault. It's Time's fault. 1212.
- 15:31Oh no. I think a 12 will fail here, and
- 15:34I think that is representative of the fact that they're like
- 15:36infrequent Eldridge incursions. It kind of just reinforces a lot
- 15:41of the lore for some people and like there is a even more
- 15:46radical branch of doming that spread out.
- 15:48That doesn't mean that there aren't like survivors, but I
- 15:51think it becomes a very difficult faction to deal with
- 15:55if you are to incorporate it within this new and growing
- 15:57world. But you guys are conceptual
- 16:00beings in this that have the control of like an entire
- 16:03pantheon of gods in this moment. But it is not changeable.
- 16:06The fact that they undergo some scars, that's fair.
- 16:10Similarly, Star Watchtower has 44.
- 16:13There's not much there. I have a fun table for that one.
- 16:18I'll offer the same thing if you roll 44 and all of them are
- 16:21fours. Good advantage.
- 16:23I'll try. If you get 3 fours, you'll get
- 16:27advantage. Mine is Adm now.
- 16:29You're right, that is precedent. I didn't even get one for damn.
- 16:31Well, they're all zombies, so. The tracks roll that default for
- 16:36me. I'm I'm trying 7.
- 16:41Hey, no, that's good. That's good.
- 16:43It survives their stability, the domain.
- 16:46That's good. So.
- 16:48So your hands up, bouncing up. So there.
- 16:50But infrequent, it's good. I mean kind of kind of kind of
- 16:54arguably good because there's, there's a future mission that
- 16:57you could go on to to preserve some of that equipment.
- 17:00It could have been having you rolled A6 or lower equipment.
- 17:03The I mean like the whole tower could have been lost and the
- 17:05technology destroyed. You know, I'm sure that might be
- 17:09a possible mission given it being around still, but that is.
- 17:13Cassie is gonna start from scratch.
- 17:15Interesting. Okay, well, that's.
- 17:16Maybe someone else will discover Star Wars.
- 17:18That's fair, there are a lot of zombies over there still so.
- 17:21We can leave the big Roly Poly behind.
- 17:24Yeah, he can smash his head into the wall a few more times and.
- 17:27Again, these are kind of unchangeable factors that you
- 17:30must incorporate into your world.
- 17:31So some difficult factions to incorporate Star Song zombies as
- 17:35well as Domi with a scarred and radical faction.
- 17:38But that mean doesn't mean that that means your parents might be
- 17:40alive, you know? Then she loves project every.
- 17:43Every land needs a zoo and a circus.
- 17:45Yep. Can we can we rebrand Star
- 17:48Watchtower as Dead Song Spire? Sure.
- 17:51Anyway, that's. It's lore.
- 17:54So that that's Domi and Starwatch and now we got to, I
- 17:58don't think we need to roll for Lands of Favor. 24-D4 and 26-D4
- 18:02is insane enough that I think Lands of Favor and Lands of
- 18:05Fortune to survive. So that means they too have
- 18:08control over you guys not shaping them so much.
- 18:12So like the Lands of Favor has the ability to stay relatively
- 18:16unchanged if they so choose, as does the Lands of Fortune.
- 18:19Again, that doesn't mean that they can't agree to be changed
- 18:21with you. And I think Adelante would agree
- 18:23to work along with you guys. Yeah, I feel like her being in
- 18:25charge is surprisingly a very good thing for us.
- 18:29And I think all of this is again, considering you guys just
- 18:32in like a primordial soup way. Arcane sense is just spiking
- 18:36there. It's just moments of discomfort
- 18:37and like distorted electricity feeling as what feels like, like
- 18:43ecstasy essentially, you know, true creation getting
- 18:46interrupted is probably the worst feeling in comparison,
- 18:50juxtapose against the beauty of what you guys are weaving
- 18:52together right now. The last thing that we're going
- 18:54to need to roll here is from each of you.
- 18:57I need AD 20 and AD 10. This is going to represent the
- 19:03waters of the wells of Creation, which are the wells of the Herb
- 19:09and the Eld. Very different energies. 1
- 19:11knowable and one unknowable. Just let me know what you got on
- 19:15the D10 first and then the D20. Cassie got a 10 on the D10.
- 19:22Then got a six. Parable got a 2.
- 19:25Full 10-6 and two now. Cassie with A10.
- 19:28What was your D20 role? 15.
- 19:32You're mainly just wanting to be above 10 there, so that is in
- 19:35your favor as this is the best result you could possibly have
- 19:40from the Erdwell. From waters that usher forth
- 19:43into your mind and into this creation process, you feel a
- 19:47choice once more. Energy from a plane of your
- 19:52choice infuses the entire cosmos, offering what aspects
- 19:57you choose to different parts of it.
- 19:59What plane? Of existence within the entire
- 20:02D&D cosmos. Would you choose to make a part
- 20:06of intrinsically truly the bones of your your cosmos?
- 20:10I think the answer to me it might be obvious, but I wouldn't
- 20:13want to speak for you the. Astroplane would be your guess.
- 20:15I would guess. I think that's really nice, but
- 20:19I could also pick Limbo. Yeah, do your.
- 20:22Own thing. So the energy from this plane is
- 20:25going to be infused in our new world.
- 20:29Yes, and so every. Aspect of our new world or every
- 20:31aspect of the cosmos, you said. Every it will be tied much more
- 20:35so it's the to the cosmos, so it'll be easier to get there.
- 20:38You might have creatures from that plane coming to yours more
- 20:42often. So like the bad version of this
- 20:45is the 9 howls or pandemonium or Limbo because those that they're
- 20:50just places where entities exist to to distill chaos.
- 20:54Here's my hesitation with Astroplane is how much of our
- 20:57past world that we just lived in was influenced by the ebb and
- 21:01flow of the pressures of space. I think not much and I think
- 21:07that might actually make the transition easier to to to mix
- 21:11mess with the ratio a little bit.
- 21:13OK, I will embrace MyHeritage, will embrace the Astroplane.
- 21:18Let's infuse this world with stars and magic and a bunch of
- 21:24little ladles. Amazing.
- 21:25I think that this means that there are astral color pools on
- 21:29the material plane as well that pop up.
- 21:31I think that as you are in control of this creation, you
- 21:35put them in secluded and sacred places rather than just out and
- 21:40about. That's not like it's a danger to
- 21:42people and to everyday society, but for adventuring, it becomes
- 21:47a way of fast travel, a cosmos interconnected by culture and
- 21:52means and trade and information shared, just as Cassie, I think,
- 21:57wanted from the start of this campaign.
- 21:59As you add this element in, it feels like your message board,
- 22:03the Astroplane, is the ultimate messenger space.
- 22:06Could you? Describe what a color pool is.
- 22:09Yes, I will. A color pool in the astroplane
- 22:11is a swirling pool of color that the color is typically related
- 22:16to a plane of existence that an adventurer might go to.
- 22:20Would they pass through that color pool?
- 22:23And in my cosmology they do a little bit more.
- 22:25I feel like they kind of operate in sort of like an information
- 22:28gathering way within the multiverse.
- 22:30So it feels right for Cassie to use that as an information
- 22:33passage system. So like worm wormholes with a
- 22:37library in it? Yeah, I guess it's a good, it's
- 22:39a good metaphor. Stars singing to make travel
- 22:42possible. I think it's also really fitting
- 22:45for Cassie because reading about the astral plane, there's just
- 22:50so much impact of time lasting longer.
- 22:54Yes, that's definitely one thing Cassie wishes she and her family
- 22:59had more of before things got wild was time together to just
- 23:02experience life. So I think that's very sweet.
- 23:04I think yeah, you get, you get to incorporate whatever elements
- 23:08you want. We'll get there.
- 23:09But we're going to talk about both your cosmos and like your
- 23:11prime world. So think about like how much you
- 23:14want the world itself, this prime world that I think will
- 23:18dub. If you guys have any suggestions
- 23:20I'm open them, but I currently have it labeled as Atlas 9.
- 23:24Given that this was Atlas's ninth turning and the one that
- 23:27was successful, feel free to rename it to whatever you so
- 23:30choose and think about what how much of it you want to be
- 23:32astral. As I ask Maya, what was your D10
- 23:36role first? A6.
- 23:39Nice with a six sounds great. What was your D20 role?
- 23:43A 70. Heard I needed it above a 10.
- 23:48Got real sad. An evil litch.
- 23:52Oh, OK. As you guys feel your budding
- 23:56creation take some sort of structural shape, an evil
- 24:00presence plane shifts into your cosmos and disappears.
- 24:04It is then followed by a a chaotically good power that
- 24:08appears within the mix. This is a great man,
- 24:11unfortunately. Yeah, this is perfect and this
- 24:13is really good. You, you just you feel that a
- 24:15feud is being played out AS2 incredibly powerful, fine and
- 24:21infernal. Or rather, a good and evil force
- 24:24battle amongst your cosmos. You know not what havoc they
- 24:27might wreak. I'm picturing, and this is
- 24:30probably not candid, but I'm picturing Aris and Igor.
- 24:34Oh my God, against each other. Just battling, Yeah, okay, We
- 24:40don't know what happens. I mean, if you want to add any
- 24:43flavors to that, I really added some options in here just so
- 24:45that when we were we do return to wish Hunter eventually.
- 24:47I can be like, guys, remember when?
- 24:50Yeah. Yeah, I think Zinn especially
- 24:53might see it as an example of the Blood War being like,
- 24:55immediately touched upon within her cosmos.
- 24:59Like, you've entered the real shit.
- 25:00Real shit has consequences, and it means that problems that
- 25:03aren't your problems suddenly become your.
- 25:06Problems. Yeah, definitely.
- 25:08And tying in two of like the 9 Hells being held back and
- 25:13everything that may be something that escape and Zen herself
- 25:17being a portal of sorts to the 9 Hells.
- 25:19Like, yeah, who's to say when she goes to primordial Goop that
- 25:23like, oops, something came along with me?
- 25:27Yeah, as a bridge to hell. You never know what you might
- 25:29bring with you. So I think Zen herself is very
- 25:33like, you know, you even crushed yourself in saying like Infernal
- 25:37is bad or whatever. Like, you know, there's there is
- 25:40a hope. And then that's like, well, of
- 25:42course both sides have to be here, you know.
- 25:44Well, I could use dark power for good.
- 25:47Who's to say that, you know, this won't be a good thing?
- 25:51Just like very much. Yeah, it'll be fine.
- 25:54The path to hell is paved with good intentions, but we shall
- 25:57see if the path from the underverses as well it has been
- 26:01so far. No good deed feels unpunished.
- 26:05And the truth. Oh gosh, everyone take a drink
- 26:08for wicked. And lastly, G, what did you roll
- 26:11for that D 10? D10.
- 26:13I got a 2. All right, now what did you roll
- 26:16for that D20? 20.
- 26:18OK, awesome. You know what I so.
- 26:21Cool. I love you.
- 26:22I I will with the. Does the 2 screw me though?
- 26:25Because I'm really I can't I've. No A2A2 does not screw you but
- 26:28with a 20 I will allow you to re roll that D10 and I will give
- 26:32you 2 options of your choice. OK.
- 26:39I mean. Mine is very I like.
- 26:41I can't complain because it. Is in the land you guys were.
- 26:43In a couple of sessions when I wasn't using this dice though,
- 26:45yeah, where like I those are. Sad it needed time to rock.
- 26:48Yeah. Those are when we were in the
- 26:51weeds. I'm re rolling A10.
- 26:54I got a six. Nice.
- 26:57I think Zen rolled A6, so sorry. Nice.
- 27:01OK so you have the option of a 2 being an unknown elder good of
- 27:06well, space escapes along with you.
- 27:10An elder element can become an elder evil or an elder good.
- 27:14So an elder good you can assume has stayed good aligned for this
- 27:18long. You cannot know that it will
- 27:20stay a good aligned forever given the fact that it has no
- 27:23restraints or boundaries of divinity or worship.
- 27:25But it is an incredibly powerful individual.
- 27:27Should you choose that more like a God without any sort of
- 27:32restraint. Giving wish, yeah.
- 27:35Mortal. Wish or a six was your other
- 27:39role. Yeah.
- 27:40Star psionic forces batter the world seed as it grows,
- 27:44resulting in more creatures than not having some sort of force or
- 27:50knack power. Like some sort of minor ability
- 27:54that is just kind of randomly distributed throughout the
- 27:56verse, but not necessarily Star Song always, but a very common
- 27:59example of it. But also telekinesis, being able
- 28:03to never sleep. But little things that affect
- 28:07life in small and fun ways. Quirks, you might call them.
- 28:10That's amazing. I think knowing Parable, this is
- 28:13beautiful for him because I think there's a piece of him
- 28:15that wants to give up his gin nature and send that on its way,
- 28:19which would make the two make sense.
- 28:21Yeah, but that seems like setting up for something we've
- 28:24seen and we wish for something new.
- 28:26And so I think embody that wish that he made with his friends.
- 28:29He would pick six, he would say. But start small.
- 28:34And he'd just, he'd, you know, push it along its way.
- 28:36You you feel like the the the world's he kind of battered with
- 28:40it's the the star song psionic forces that you find the right
- 28:46distance so that you find resonance instead, and it helps
- 28:48the sea to grow. I.
- 28:50I sing to the sea. And I just sing and hum and try
- 28:59to get the stars to settle a little bit, but I don't want
- 29:01them to stop what they're doing. And I'm imagining the first
- 29:04power that's granted is the ability to know how someone else
- 29:08is feeling. Cool.
- 29:10Yeah, absolutely. Like empathy, telekinesis.
- 29:13I think that has a specific word.
- 29:15I imagine someone who starts with maybe the ability to sense
- 29:18how someones feeling and then when they can touch one persons
- 29:21shoulder and another persons shoulder they can transfer that.
- 29:24Cool. According to Superpower wiki,
- 29:27it's called Empathy. Empath Kinetics.
- 29:31Empathic. Telepathic.
- 29:33Empathetic. Well, I do think, I think
- 29:35empathetic that always, that always has been.
- 29:38Empathies. I do I do love that always
- 29:43having been like the the true nature of star song.
- 29:45So I think it feels right to have like a minor version of
- 29:47that that just requires a little bit of just requires touch and
- 29:52you know how someone's feeling. I also love to think that
- 29:54parables only able to do this because like he has Cassie's
- 29:59innate abilities to understand Star Song right now in this
- 30:02month. Like you're all so intermixed
- 30:03that you are all using one another's skills.
- 30:06Your oohs your. Oohs in the same hole.
- 30:09Oh Cass, thanks for the the tuning note there.
- 30:12Oh, you got that? Yeah, no, I think I do.
- 30:14I think I could. Yeah, I do.
- 30:15I don't even really know what I'm doing or where my voice is.
- 30:19Sorry. Is it the cow?
- 30:20Came with us. I we need balance.
- 30:22I'm noticing. We need balance.
- 30:23That's OK. That's OK.
- 30:24Did all nine Hells or is it just eight of them?
- 30:26Yeah, I've only seen eight. OK, well where'd the other go?
- 30:31Akuma Akuma's hiding something behind us back.
- 30:34She's reaching her prep. Fine, it was akuma.
- 30:37You can't have a whole level of. I was.
- 30:39I only took the third. I was gonna say this is really,
- 30:42really cool, given the implications of our collection
- 30:45of little animals and animal friends, especially, like, just
- 30:48wondering what kind of life they're gonna have and how.
- 30:50Yeah, this choice also makes it probably better and more unique
- 30:53for them too, which is sweet. I would love the the first
- 30:56person who gets this empathetic power to have a pet.
- 31:00Spider you you find that conceptually.
- 31:04Bit by a spider. As as a creature, this is spider
- 31:09man as the conceptual conceptually guiding powers of
- 31:14this verse. And given the fact that papaya
- 31:16is a close ally to you, I think spiders are prolific throughout
- 31:20this universe. I think that there's probably a
- 31:23whole universe. I think the way that this
- 31:25creation is going to work is we're going to design the the
- 31:28prime world and it's going to iterate out.
- 31:31So whatever aspects you choose to make very important about
- 31:34your your world here, which is astral battles of good and evil
- 31:38going on in the background that have come to your plane and
- 31:40perhaps this prime world. And of course, you know, the a
- 31:44massive amount of psionic powers.
- 31:45It also extends to everything about your characters from your,
- 31:50your pets, like papaya and stuff.
- 31:51So if there's a lot of spiders on your world, there's a lot of
- 31:53spiders. There's a whole spider planet
- 31:55out there somewhere because it your prime world is going to
- 31:57iterate out into and everything. I think one of the biggest
- 32:01things that I didn't get to do with parables, new fourth level
- 32:03spells was used find greater steed and I was picturing like
- 32:08either a buffed out papaya or some El enlightened versions of
- 32:11papaya. So this is kind of.
- 32:12Perfect for me. I think the cool thing about you
- 32:14guys being the power behind this ascension is that a lot of these
- 32:17things are immortalized. So like I think Papaya is
- 32:20becomes even if he dies, he becomes an ethereal spirit that
- 32:23you can summon, you know, forever.
- 32:25He becomes part of the stars. If you want, there's again this
- 32:28universe is shaped around you and the shapes you choose most
- 32:31so sounds like papaya is one of them.
- 32:32And I think there's definitely a constellation in the shape of a
- 32:35spider that is quite important to the peoples of this verse of
- 32:41this iteration. Any other decisions or any other
- 32:44add-ons that you wanna make about this prime world, mainly
- 32:48in terms of general features? Zen.
- 32:50Just pictured Zen walking around and giving everybody a pamphlet
- 32:53saying this is how life works. We didn't get these when we were
- 32:56born. Life One O 1.
- 32:58Wouldn't it just be so? Nice.
- 33:00Something Cassie would definitely advocate for would be
- 33:04more ease of travel. There was so many things in the
- 33:08way of being able to meet up with people quickly or travel,
- 33:13traverse roads and paths quickly to share information but also
- 33:17like community and to get to each other.
- 33:20And I think it would be really cool if there was just easy,
- 33:23convenient waterways and land bridges and.
- 33:26I think that ties in with the astral plane aspect.
- 33:28You have much many more accessible color pools for
- 33:30public travel. On top of that, that ties in
- 33:33with what I have to add to this little world as DM, which is the
- 33:36fact that ODD refuses to breakdown fully the scraps of it
- 33:42feel they must be used. And then you realize that it's
- 33:45almost an essential component of the cell of a universe.
- 33:49Needs not only the world tree to for it to grow upon, but almost
- 33:52like a splint, something to grow through it to connect it in a
- 33:56more interconnected way. An infinite staircase which is
- 34:01also a part of the DND multiverse as a place of doors
- 34:05and stairs endlessly so a place where you can get to anywhere in
- 34:10the universe if there is a door to get there.
- 34:12So you only need travel the staircase.
- 34:16And I think knowing it's Denison and Guardian, the wizard Wish
- 34:21ebb and flow as you feel their presences unite.
- 34:25And the moral aspect of wish, I think becomes the the guardian
- 34:30of odd, your version of the infinite staircase.
- 34:34Awesome, if you wouldn't so mind me adding that.
- 34:37No, go for it. Can it be in a?
- 34:39Spiral and kind of up a Wellish. Kind of thing, yes, absolutely
- 34:43it takes. On it takes on many visual.
- 34:44Aspects similar to you guys, the infinite staircase.
- 34:47It's really cool and quest from the infant staircase is the most
- 34:50recent D&D source material that uses it.
- 34:52But it's a it's a long running and fantastic lore.
- 34:55It's a place of genies and wishes.
- 34:56I think in the most recent lore, a noble gin named Nafas.
- 35:01And yeah, it's it's a great aspect of D&D multiverse
- 35:04cosmology and I I'm glad that ODD serves as such a great
- 35:08representation of it. Can I add something?
- 35:11Yes please. I would love if, and I actually
- 35:14kind of want some help with this, but the between Brick and
- 35:17the good book, it was kind of like having the good book being
- 35:20an intuitive feelings type of story container.
- 35:25And Brick felt like my intellect and like the calculator of it
- 35:28all. Even though Parable was alone
- 35:31during his experience, that felt like a little like family of
- 35:35self. And I would love to give
- 35:37everyone a brick in a good book, but I'd like to do that in
- 35:40concept and I'm struggling on how to narrate that.
- 35:44There's a philosophy, and this is also in the DMS guide, it's
- 35:48called animism, which is the philosophy that everything has a
- 35:51spirit. So rather than primals just
- 35:54being elementals, you kind of you could extend it to
- 35:56everything where if you don't want it to be just bricks, that
- 36:00means that if someone bonds enough to a spell book, then
- 36:04it's spirit is is nourished, right?
- 36:06And like that, spellbook becomes sentient, or even more mundanely
- 36:10so any any object, whether it be natural or mundane.
- 36:15Yeah, I'm thinking with along that line maybe like a mixture
- 36:20of imprinting, projecting and attuning to something to give it
- 36:23a level of your own sentience to reflect back at you.
- 36:26Cool. And being able to do that in a
- 36:28couple different forms. Yeah.
- 36:30I think the people of this world, this prime world, are,
- 36:33regardless of their genius, any blooded or not, are in tune with
- 36:37their version of breath. The perhaps it's they consider
- 36:40it the soul, perhaps they consider it magic.
- 36:43But people feel a connection to the world and the fauna.
- 36:47Everything from the fauna to the flora to the objects around.
- 36:49I think spirits exist everywhere as magic, given time, gain
- 36:55sentience in this world. And it just takes the right kind
- 36:59of energies to build cool that that just means a lot of people
- 37:03finding animal companions and bonding to special items and
- 37:07finding magical weapons that have just been infused with.
- 37:11A little kid picking up a rock and holding it and keeping it so
- 37:15close that it becomes alive. Yeah.
- 37:16Or. Tokens have meaning.
- 37:18Yes, yes. A kid picking up a stick,
- 37:21believing it to be a dagger, so much so that it it grows with
- 37:24him to the point where it becomes his one and true blade
- 37:27you like upon adulthood. Believe it, you can do it.
- 37:30Yeah, if you. Truly believe in something.
- 37:32You know, like there's tangible evidence that your belief is
- 37:36growing or grows with you in and you know, like when we work
- 37:40really hard or somebody really has faith or belief in something
- 37:43and it just doesn't come with that reward.
- 37:45That's, you know, and there's lessons to suffrage, but it'd be
- 37:49great instead of a wish that people through care and
- 37:52attention to themselves in this object or, you know, idea, yeah,
- 37:57grew something that was magical. Yeah, I think that reminds me
- 37:59very much of Raya and how like just the sentience of of power
- 38:04and how innocent that can feel and how I imagine a world of
- 38:08cultures surrounded by that sense of innocence and childlike
- 38:13wonder in the very primal forces and objects and elements around
- 38:18them. The.
- 38:18Last thing I have in this one comes from George's music magic.
- 38:22So much music magic. Dude, there's.
- 38:24Music is magic. I think you're you're if you
- 38:27have one, I assume you might what what note rings most true
- 38:31within the core of your world that resonates most with all of
- 38:35it? It's truest tone Shout out.
- 38:38Brandon Sanderson spoils for Rhythm of War.
- 38:42It would be just under 500 Hertz at 493.88 Hertz for B5.
- 38:49OK, awesome. Which is how specific that is.
- 38:52It's the very first note of Bush Hunter.
- 38:54Oh, that's awesome. I I love that.
- 38:57Please. Gosh, insert that note here.
- 39:02Incredible. I love it.
- 39:03And with that I think any other last minute additions.
- 39:07Otherwise I have a little prompt for you guys to set up a little
- 39:09bit more local epilogue for your characters and our MPCS.
- 39:13Before I manifest you guys in the physical space, do you guys
- 39:16have any other suggestions for the world name?
- 39:18Currently Atlas 9. Is this the world name or the
- 39:22universe name? The world name, but because this
- 39:24is the prime world, it will affect what it would probably be
- 39:27called Atlassian space. Yeah.
- 39:28So it's like the center of this universe, kind of.
- 39:31Yes, cuz this world right out. So the world name does matter.
- 39:35If you guys want it to be anything else, I'm open ears.
- 39:37I really like Atlassian. We could also drop the 9:00 and
- 39:41just reclaim the title of Atlas. Well, that's that feels good.
- 39:45I like the idea that the nine stays a mystery.
- 39:48I think that's what was eating at me.
- 39:49I like I liked how when we came into it we didn't know what
- 39:51iteration it was because I think that would bother the fuck out
- 39:53of me as a civilian of this universe is like.
- 39:56Nine. What about one through 8?
- 39:5810 coming, yeah. Yeah.
- 40:01So yeah, either a variation of Atlas or Atlas is great.
- 40:04Cool. Atlas just.
- 40:06Atlas. Just awesome.
- 40:07Reclaiming the name. Just Atlas.
- 40:09Excuse me, Atlas, Just yes. Then we descend towards a world
- 40:14called once More Atlas, and you all find yourselves once more
- 40:22standing beneath the swaying branches of a great Willow No2
- 40:29Great Willows. Welcome to 2 Willows.
- 40:37You shut up right now, of course.
- 40:38Of course, 2 Wells is still its own community, and Callum's
- 40:41Crossing is its own community as well.
- 40:43But they, as so near and dear to your heart, have morphed into
- 40:46one landscape. You can't even tell where one
- 40:51ends and the other begins. Is there anything else in your
- 40:54immediate vicinity besides the familiar aspects of Two Wells
- 41:00and the newly familiar aspects of Callum's Crossing?
- 41:03There's a want to have them have like a courtyard, so could we
- 41:07have like a hidden Oasis in between all three of them?
- 41:10Like if they're in the vicinity of each other, like a triangle?
- 41:13I'm just imagining. Yeah.
- 41:14I think that, yeah, there can absolutely be like upon the
- 41:17border between several different medium spaces of several
- 41:20different styles in Oasis being the most common and frequented.
- 41:24I think at its midst, of course, a color pool that one might
- 41:28travel to and fro a a very, very common weigh station I think for
- 41:33many in the area. Well, that's a good name for it.
- 41:35That's a that I caught the idea more than even the Oasis thing
- 41:38was weigh station. Oh good.
- 41:40Good, good. Yes, you have a weigh station
- 41:41here, truly. And as you all find yourselves
- 41:44between these two great willows, you have all the people of Two
- 41:48Wells around you. You see, I mean everyone from La
- 41:52Million to a very old Vilano and Raya, all the people from
- 41:57Collins crossing, even Mojo, Fall and Willow make an
- 42:01appearance as they are no longer bound to giving themselves the
- 42:05domain. They're able to make a recovery
- 42:08as you see Mojo stepping out gingerly and fall being erratic
- 42:12as he levitates way too many kids to count reverse gravity in
- 42:17them in the air and he says, oh don't worry, I'll catch them.
- 42:19Is there anyone that you guys go to make an immediate contact
- 42:22with in these first immediate moment as a is born and power
- 42:28leaves you, you are mortal once more.
- 42:30You gave it up. Thank God.
- 42:32You do not have the power of a God.
- 42:34You are not. So light.
- 42:35Ascended. I really thought that would go.
- 42:43It's it's off screen stars and fire and then we cut back and
- 42:46it's just chaos. Oh my gosh, I think because of
- 42:50the end of one of my favorite video games, I want to go up and
- 42:53very mundanely start a big fire. The people join in.
- 42:58You have Brick working in a way to provide translation between
- 43:02different species that might not speak to one another and
- 43:06cultures that might not as the lands of favor.
- 43:10Some individuals appear as well. Where do you think they do you
- 43:14guys? Would you place them away at
- 43:16all? Cuz parables nearness to the
- 43:19Moray and his natural connection to them draws the keepers to a
- 43:24very nearby community and you eventually get a a a group led
- 43:29by Adalanta Chorus and and now living once more prophecy led by
- 43:36the Moray. It seems Adalanta has given up
- 43:39power to the Moray, so that day three might be unbound as well.
- 43:43And the lands of Favor is no longer a domain in truth, but a
- 43:48a nearby community, one that is large and but one that holds
- 43:54your people as many come all different shapes and sizes.
- 43:58They are all of a desert skin tone and they all join your
- 44:02bonfire as Adalanta comes up to you worthlessly parable and
- 44:06gives you a warrior's grasp. I hug her back.
- 44:09She hugs you back too. She is wisened with wrinkles
- 44:14around her eyes. But Adamnari's life is a long
- 44:16one, and although she has seen many years, she has many more
- 44:21head and a huntress she still is as she whispers.
- 44:24That's behind me but still much ahead.
- 44:28You did the hardest thing, you did good.
- 44:31She I think sheds a tear and says not a word.
- 44:36But hold your embrace as you guys are just like arm and arm
- 44:40again near the Fire 2 warriors that have met after many years
- 44:44of a feuding. I kind of like meet eyes, I slip
- 44:49out of the embrace and I look at Prophecy and everyone that
- 44:53walked up with Adelante and I, you know, kind of give them a
- 44:56nod, modern embrace. And as I turn to the Murray
- 44:59people, I, instead of trying to greet everyone, I just start
- 45:02doing a chant parable starts doing something kind of gin, but
- 45:07more primal to the idea of the traditions of the Murray people
- 45:11and the the, you know, the land that we're on and connectivity.
- 45:14So stomping on the ground and banging his chest and amazing.
- 45:18Singing a song. They all join in and it's it.
- 45:21You fall into rhythm like you've ridden the spike 1000 times
- 45:24before and more so there are stories of you parable.
- 45:29They many of them have names that speak of your nature.
- 45:32Vigil, coda, creed. These names that all speak of
- 45:37belief and faith and a power behind prayer.
- 45:41Most so they speak of the power behind holding fast an oath and
- 45:46you see your touch upon the Murray even though you've never
- 45:49got to truly experience them. You will get to for as long as
- 45:54you live. In in this dance, I think
- 45:56parables meditating on the universe behind us.
- 46:00He thinks of Herbert, he thinks of the white family.
- 46:03He thinks of the endless chaos that was granting wishes and and
- 46:10all of that and just empties it into the fire with song and
- 46:13dance and knows that there's something new on on the border.
- 46:19And as he's doing that, he thinks of one thing that he's
- 46:22ready to let go. But he looks around for Count
- 46:24Chance. I think Adelante says that that
- 46:28she tells you that she kept kept him in the dungeon.
- 46:31He is still him. Wheel and worn are all still
- 46:34considered enemies that are to be held and given that they were
- 46:39dominari, they are also 2 long lived enemies that hold the
- 46:43grudges. She says she visits them rarely,
- 46:46but right now it seems out of your grasp.
- 46:49But I think at this moment you might be shocked to find that
- 46:52another community shows up, albeit with a little bit more
- 46:55scarred and and oh worse for where?
- 47:01Are they marching? They are notably, they are not
- 47:05good. The ones that would March, would
- 47:06not March towards another community.
- 47:08And you see many, many, they call themselves many call
- 47:12themselves exiles, but they are just, it's just the majority of
- 47:16your community of dummy that all were considered too weak of
- 47:21belief that didn't last through this great crisis of, of faith
- 47:27that you couldn't they couldn't hold on.
- 47:29It's most of the people that you would want to be here.
- 47:32And leaving them is your mother, Isla.
- 47:37Girl. Isla pending you do not see your
- 47:40father. Oops.
- 47:44She killed Zen. What do you do, Zen?
- 47:47As you see your mother, Isla, cresting the horizon, Leading
- 47:52shadow cast, they call themselves.
- 47:54But you know that shadow cast is not a name that they should feel
- 47:58bad about. Yeah.
- 48:00They should wear it with pride. Zen, before seeing them
- 48:04approach, I think, is passing out little pieces of paper to
- 48:07the young kids and having them write down something that they
- 48:10want to let go of or something they want to manifest.
- 48:14And then she's letting them like, crumble up the piece of
- 48:16paper and throw it up in the air.
- 48:17And Akuma is going to like awesome.
- 48:20So it's it's like her little way of like.
- 48:22I love this. This is such a scheme.
- 48:23They could just throw it into the big fire.
- 48:25But you're bringing them to me. Yeah.
- 48:27Destruction. Yeah.
- 48:28Thanks for the stack. Controlled destruction.
- 48:32So I think just during this act, she would look up at this group
- 48:35walking and walk up to her mom. She runs towards you as she sees
- 48:41you. I think hesitantly at first, but
- 48:43then is there. What do you, how do you
- 48:44actually? How do you approach?
- 48:46I think pretty tentatively. I think she runs at 1st and
- 48:49slows down within 10 or so feet, noticing that your your energy
- 48:53is not matching hers. I think Zen would like like, you
- 48:57know, when someone goes for a hug and you just kind of leave
- 48:58your arms down, like like that type of energy, but still like
- 49:02welcoming, like you can be here, but like, why are you here?
- 49:07The first words, I think she says, are Zen.
- 49:11I was always on your side. I was always and I'd I, I don't
- 49:17know how Xindo take that, but I think that those are the first
- 49:20words that she says. Why didn't you visit me when
- 49:23they locked me up? I tried.
- 49:25I even after, even after we spoke that night, I, I, I spoke
- 49:29to your father and I told him that you weren't ready for
- 49:32Promise Day. But what I meant, and what I
- 49:34should have said, was that Promise Day is a stupid
- 49:37tradition put together by fools that want to control power.
- 49:42It is control. It's it always was.
- 49:44It controlled me and it and it Zen, she corrects herself.
- 49:51I wanted to be on your side. I'm sorry I wasn't.
- 49:56I forgive you. Plus I got a lot of cool things
- 50:01to show you. And she like, gives her a hug.
- 50:04They'll like lean in like, all right, you can hug me like, hey,
- 50:07buddy. And I think she'll offer a bunch
- 50:09of pieces of paper to her mom and say that everyone is welcome
- 50:14here to be shadowcast is not a bad thing.
- 50:17I found a lot of joy in it actually a lot of fun.
- 50:20Meet Akuma. I I think that in this moment,
- 50:24Akuma's sharing in the hug and she opens her eyes and Akuma's
- 50:28just kind of smiling in a big oh, OK.
- 50:33No, no, he's a good thing. He's a really, you know what?
- 50:36He's probably one of the better things that's ever happened to
- 50:38me. Startled like a parent who isn't
- 50:42used to being told any sort of news and hears honest news.
- 50:47Takes a second to process it and says awfully bright.
- 50:52I love that about you. I've I've never realized that
- 50:55fire. Fire makes so much light.
- 50:57It does. It's just another form of.
- 50:59Yeah, so really allow fire except for candle promise sake.
- 51:04That's insane. Isn't that kind of funny?
- 51:05The first time I, yeah, I saw fire.
- 51:08Was a candle and we just don't allow it really any.
- 51:11That's amazing. Oh, they were watching through
- 51:13every bit of light. Archons lit the community
- 51:17because they were what they wanted to watch.
- 51:19Oh, that makes sense. That one in our.
- 51:21Home that was assigned to our house.
- 51:22I bet that, yeah. Yeah, I do have someone for you
- 51:27to meet, but maybe not right now.
- 51:28He probably needs a diaper change.
- 51:32It's time. It's depends.
- 51:36Yeah, it's depends. Sorry to do you have kids?
- 51:40No, no, no, no, no. That's.
- 51:42Awkward moment. Brick comes up and goes.
- 51:46He takes a polar ride. He's like it comes up to you
- 51:48with your first family photo with Akuma on your mom.
- 51:50Oh, that's. Really cute.
- 51:52It's like, no, no, no kids. Akuma's enough of a handful.
- 51:55But I did want to ask you some questions.
- 52:00Yeah. Why do I have horn and why?
- 52:06Why do you not have horn? That's, well, that's, that's not
- 52:10necessarily OK. Because I feel like, I mean, it
- 52:13might have been hallucination and totally not real.
- 52:15But I did have this like moment a long time ago where like you
- 52:19were arguing with that about like, oh, you left to be here
- 52:23and that, you know, you were so great before that.
- 52:26So I'm just wondering if you could maybe enlighten.
- 52:29Me so I you're right, I'm was not always from Domi I that's
- 52:36apparent. I once lived as a favour, I
- 52:39know, but but I found that the way that count chance led the
- 52:45people to take the city of Moray from the Moray people
- 52:49themselves. We ruled over a great city or
- 52:54the indigenous peoples protection.
- 52:57I could only live with that for so long.
- 53:00It was a delusion built by the idea of favor and being.
- 53:06Whether it was forced upon them or not.
- 53:07It was favor given, favor shared.
- 53:10They should be grateful, and they were not.
- 53:12So a city was taken. The Murray could be keepers no
- 53:16longer and Count Chance would keep it for them.
- 53:19I disagreed with that. So I left.
- 53:22And I didn't have the price across the desert until I met a
- 53:27servant in the desert. Yeah.
- 53:30OK, so I snuck out one other time.
- 53:34Before. Huma.
- 53:36Dude, we talked about this. No more secrets.
- 53:40I snake in a desert. I.
- 53:42Mean you knew I was already a snake, so I didn't mention that.
- 53:44Life. No, you're right.
- 53:45I was just in a desert that time you met my mom.
- 53:49Died pretty quick in that one. Got eaten by an eagle.
- 53:50Geese. Wait, is Akuma your dad?
- 53:56This new Polaroid has really. Changed now to be clear, she's
- 54:01just infernally contracted and bound, so the bloodline going
- 54:04forward is tainted. There's no intercourse being
- 54:08had. Oh good, that helps.
- 54:11I'm not your daddy. What do you want?
- 54:14Good. OK, so to to get through the
- 54:17desert you had to your next born child was infernal.
- 54:21Yeah. And it says yeah.
- 54:24OK, OK. Yeah, OK, OK.
- 54:29But I picked you for a reason. You're Akuma goes on to say you
- 54:33do have an inferno bloodline, one that Isla actually confirms
- 54:37legend of quote UN quote like family history.
- 54:39However, it's to Akuma's words dormant.
- 54:42He just like. It was pretty easy just to spark
- 54:45the flame inside of you. So I don't know how power back
- 54:47it goes, but I mean I was the trigger.
- 54:50For it so. So Zahir really is my grandma.
- 54:54OK, this is a very confusing family tree, but well.
- 54:57It's like, it's like she started it.
- 54:59It went dark and I really don't like what's happening down there
- 55:02so. Right.
- 55:03Sparked it right back up. OK, OK, OK.
- 55:07No more lies, right? No more lies.
- 55:09No more. Not really a lie.
- 55:11Thank you. Promise.
- 55:12You must smoke a little guy. Smoke a little guy.
- 55:14Thank you, Promise. Thank you.
- 55:16Parable walks up with something smoking from his lips.
- 55:20He's like Murray people. They gave me this.
- 55:23You awesome. No, no, no.
- 55:26It's desert stuff. Yeah, at the words desert stuff.
- 55:30At the words desert stuff. I think we cut over to we pan
- 55:35over to Cassie and I would assume Raya and and her mother
- 55:40Soraya and of course Claude as well as there notably Wishbeer
- 55:45is there as well. And one thing that you and your
- 55:48mother might be observing in this moment is Raya and
- 55:52Wishbeard are holding hands. Just kidding, I really, really
- 55:57love that for them. How long has this been going on?
- 56:01I think it's it's just around this fire in this in this quiet
- 56:04moment. And as you say that to them,
- 56:05they say they like stop doing it and they look at each other and
- 56:08they say what was going on. No, no, no.
- 56:10It's wrestling. It's no, no, it's.
- 56:14Nice. It's good as like stars go one
- 56:17way with pistol shots go the other way.
- 56:19It's good to have people you deserve.
- 56:21That they settle down and once more hold hands to observe the
- 56:25fire. As your mother says, good job.
- 56:30Thanks. I'm kind of just winging it.
- 56:32Have you, I mean have you always been?
- 56:33I mean, I only got, I only so good at dealing with managing
- 56:38everyone around you. Whether or not you can believe
- 56:41it, I didn't have friends until about.
- 56:43Six days ago. Oh no, honey, I saw that.
- 56:46But. Oh honey, you're a fucking
- 56:49loner. Let me remind you, your fault by
- 56:51choice. Sorry.
- 56:53Well, thanks. No one wants to be friends with
- 56:55the weird sad girl who's all alone.
- 56:57Honey, OK, you were a weird sad girl that was all alone.
- 57:00But The thing is, thank you always all alone, Cassie and she
- 57:05I think minor illusions up a few visions that she says I this is
- 57:09what I saw. And it's all the moments that
- 57:12you were stopped in the street 11 times on your way home by
- 57:15either kids or community members.
- 57:17You were never, maybe, yes, lonely, never alone, not within
- 57:22this community. You were treasured.
- 57:24You were loved because you gave people the time to unlock a
- 57:29potential that nobody else would.
- 57:32Whether that was? A very interesting perspective.
- 57:34She she shows you the all the small impacts that you had that
- 57:38created obviously a much bigger one.
- 57:41Kathy would be very, very touched by that, especially
- 57:43reflecting on how what a wild few days this has been, making
- 57:48new friends and having people she cares so deeply about.
- 57:51It's like one of those, you know, when you were, when things
- 57:54get really good and you reflect and you're like, wow, things
- 57:57were really bad. But it's just that Cassie's
- 58:01focusing on the difference between what felt like total
- 58:04isolation and now it feels like overwhelming accompaniment by
- 58:08besties. You know, they, they feel so
- 58:11vastly different. But it is a really refreshing
- 58:13perspective to have Soraya saying like, oh, well, yeah,
- 58:16remember, people did always ring your doorbell and bug you.
- 58:19Yeah, that's sweet. You're showing all these moments
- 58:22that you really touch people's lives, and I think you truly see
- 58:25that impact. And Claude has been just kind of
- 58:28quietly enjoying the conversation and like the energy
- 58:32even seeing his wife brought to life.
- 58:36He has been holding himself back as he looks at you as if in
- 58:40permission, in this moment, with the craziest eyes you've ever
- 58:44seen. Let's bring Dad into the fold,
- 58:47huh? I feel like you guys need to
- 58:48catch up too. I I think that's right.
- 58:52I have faith that what? Wish beard's there too, I'm just
- 58:55feeling awkward. Yeah, well, everyone gets a
- 59:00little, yeah. I mean, it's a little.
- 59:03Bit Gidham tiger. Closely, Claude in a million
- 59:05become over the past few days, you know.
- 59:07Not, you know, not that close. Speaking of Lamillion, you do
- 59:12actually see him over near Dapple, of course, as they sit
- 59:16quietly close by the fire. They are very much enjoying
- 59:19being back amongst one another. But most importantly, here
- 59:22Claude is ecstatic to talk to his wife once more.
- 59:27And you see that Soraya, your mother, is also ecstatic.
- 59:31She is quietly pleased. She doesn't.
- 59:33She sees your pain and like obviously knows the tension of
- 59:36your relationship. But.
- 59:38Being present for this reunion is really healing because over a
- 59:42matter of these few days, like Cassie really realized how much
- 59:46of Claude's terrible traits were the result of him also being
- 59:52isolated and abandoned by his wife and feeling lost and
- 59:57grieving. Yes, he repeats many of the same
- 59:59comments that she made towards you.
- 1:00:01I'm sorry, I made a choice. I know that it had this impact,
- 1:00:05and that makes it wrong of me to have done as much as it makes me
- 1:00:08right to have done. And Claude whizzes past that,
- 1:00:13having he never needed to forgive Soraya, he just needed
- 1:00:18this space. That's kind of annoying.
- 1:00:20Well, so it's it's it's it is because like.
- 1:00:23God, you really? It's not so to be to be clear,
- 1:00:27he doesn't need the space to forgive Soraya for himself, but
- 1:00:30he does actually you see, like he brings up you in your
- 1:00:35defense, Speaking of the fact that the impact was one that
- 1:00:40yes, it gave them you, but it also it's all you should have
- 1:00:44told me. You should have told me I could
- 1:00:46have been there for our daughter that I abandoned like he it's.
- 1:00:50On him. Of course it is.
- 1:00:51And he takes that too. But he just, he just asked that
- 1:00:55like you could have told me you could have trusted me.
- 1:00:57And she says, I couldn't have that.
- 1:01:00It's part of the plan. But you know, those are
- 1:01:02resolutions that they work out. And as Claude and Soraya find
- 1:01:08some peace after some words, you see your mom leans to you and
- 1:01:12says, I know that he can be difficult sometimes, but the way
- 1:01:17he loves is as devoted as he is dumb.
- 1:01:22It's. He's pretty dumb.
- 1:01:26Treasure, loyalty, oversmart and looks over at Dapple and La
- 1:01:30Million and La Million especially and just how dumb
- 1:01:35struck they are for one another there as it is.
- 1:01:39You know, measures of intelligence and all other
- 1:01:41trades come in. It matters not.
- 1:01:43The one true thing is whether they will be there for you.
- 1:01:45And you know, Claude, like you said, his capacity was broken to
- 1:01:50a point where he could not be. And now you see him and your mom
- 1:01:54just double down on being there for you.
- 1:01:56Cassie really wants to observe her parents reuniting because I
- 1:02:03think as I mentioned, like that's just going to be really
- 1:02:05healing for her to see them having grown enough to navigate
- 1:02:11that conversation, however they will and decide to or not to
- 1:02:16carry on the family unit and see what comes next for both of
- 1:02:20them. Seems like it's going really
- 1:02:22well, which is great. But Cassie feels really
- 1:02:24optimistic about a just a fresh chapter with these people who
- 1:02:27she, you know, when her mom died or left or went away, she was
- 1:02:32robbed of the next decade of both parents, you know, So
- 1:02:37getting the chance to just reconnect with them and rekindle
- 1:02:41and develop a relationship as an adult is really exciting for
- 1:02:46her. She also so badly wants to pick
- 1:02:48both of their brains and talk more about what actually
- 1:02:51happened and the science behind it all and compare notes and
- 1:02:54talk about different perspectives that they each had
- 1:02:57on what was happening in the sky and on the ground and tell them
- 1:03:00about her adventures. That's that's so fun as you just
- 1:03:04you describe, but like observations that you made about
- 1:03:07the star and she equates them to like the time that her wish and
- 1:03:11time all got out of stasis and like like had a fight and she,
- 1:03:15you know, sent out a certain blast of energy.
- 1:03:17Yeah, you're, you're able to connect all these dots and more.
- 1:03:19So she's able to tell you about the the crazy stories and lore
- 1:03:23of her journal and how there's there is a science behind the
- 1:03:28the wild imperfections of myth, Lauren legend.
- 1:03:31And yeah, just the cross grounds that you find.
- 1:03:34And of course, Claude chiming in as much as he can and you just
- 1:03:37find a family dynamic once more. I think we'll swap stories for a
- 1:03:40long time. Beautiful.
- 1:03:42Any other notes for this immediate gathering?
- 1:03:46Parable at one point would ask wind walk and swirl around the
- 1:03:51fire and make it bigger. And it's more more like visuals,
- 1:03:54like celebrating this moment and being no matter what's coming,
- 1:03:59we're all here. And we all had how many people
- 1:04:02wish for a second chance or a chance to one last chance to
- 1:04:06come together with their loved ones or their enemies or you'd
- 1:04:09know, right? Yeah, now we do.
- 1:04:13And yeah, I think it would just be some gin magic around the
- 1:04:16fire really falling into the celebration of things.
- 1:04:18Awesome. I think Zen would after getting
- 1:04:22over the initial like, OK, Kuma's not my daddy.
- 1:04:26Yeah, that was a quick whiplash. I think she would ask like, you
- 1:04:30know, you're here and and so is the majority of, of Domi, but
- 1:04:34where, what happened? Where is everyone else?
- 1:04:39Where's Dad? So your father, to say the
- 1:04:43least, has been under a lot of pressure at work and I'm not
- 1:04:47sure how I'm criminal. This is the same rhetoric you
- 1:04:49used to use give. It to me straight.
- 1:04:51Sorry, we're separated right now.
- 1:04:52I'm going to tell you. Incredible news Keep.
- 1:04:55Go on. And she says in a very like,
- 1:04:57programmed way, you know, under the light, we could never be
- 1:05:00divorced. So of course we have to stay
- 1:05:01together. But we're separated right now.
- 1:05:02I have a guy you could talk to. What about an annulment?
- 1:05:05Anyways, anyways, I've got a guy you can talk to.
- 1:05:08I got a guy that's just. Great, that's really good.
- 1:05:12The domain began to fall even before the great Wishing began.
- 1:05:16Your father became more and more stressed and on the day that he
- 1:05:19sent out Alita Dario and her squad, star Igor and Estramps,
- 1:05:24but they're with you and she sees them and I think gasp.
- 1:05:27And she says, oh, God, I I hope beyond hope, but that's good to
- 1:05:31see. Your father apparently found the
- 1:05:36Star King and the Star Queen dead in their chambers and
- 1:05:39decided not to tell anyone. And he was essentially driven
- 1:05:45mad by the pressure of holding up a domain by himself for about
- 1:05:49half of a day. So that was kind of the straw
- 1:05:53that broke the camel's back. Yeah, Yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:57That would make sense. Is he's still, I mean, you're
- 1:06:00separated. Well he believes himself to be
- 1:06:02the reincarnation of the Holy light Chosen one and meeting I
- 1:06:07did out pack to followers. Got it, got it, got it.
- 1:06:11Over there and she like points like like just just West.
- 1:06:15Doesn't look in that direction. Just like, truly.
- 1:06:17Like, OK, making a note of that. I, I will.
- 1:06:21You've done enough. Thank you for bringing everyone
- 1:06:23else here. I'm.
- 1:06:24Sorry to bring our problems into this beautiful world.
- 1:06:26No, Mom, these have been following me for my whole life.
- 1:06:30I'm, you know, at this point it's a little bit of spice.
- 1:06:34So I want you to know that you're safe here and you don't
- 1:06:37have to worry about Dad anymore. I'll handle that.
- 1:06:42OK. Spicy, spicy company.
- 1:06:45I've got a guy. Amazing.
- 1:06:49I think Zen in this moment is like time is not in a place
- 1:06:53where he could really do much correct?
- 1:06:57Like he's his brain is kind of. I, I think he's being, like you
- 1:07:00said, like taken care of. He's probably going to restore
- 1:07:04himself over some time because given the fact that he's not
- 1:07:07dead, he'll, he'll be able to store up time again.
- 1:07:08It'll just take a little bit of. Time I think he's got a really
- 1:07:11cool like viny wheelchair amazing.
- 1:07:16Imagine high back, big wheels, vines, cool stuff.
- 1:07:20But I have a dream for Zen. Are we going to do like a flash
- 1:07:24forward at all? Yes, we will.
- 1:07:25Yes, we'll, we'll do, Yeah. Cassie also looks around and
- 1:07:28sees Zen having what looks like a happy reuniting with her mom
- 1:07:33and looks like Claude and Soraya and recognizes that Ryan
- 1:07:37Spellbeard are there and looks at Parable and just sort of
- 1:07:40takes a minute to like go chat with her friends and just remind
- 1:07:43them like, hey, between the three of us, we have an
- 1:07:46abundance of parental figures. Maybe we.
- 1:07:48Could all share? Oh yeah.
- 1:07:50And the mingling begins. You have Claude.
- 1:07:55Isla, you said yes. Your hands are awfully sweaty.
- 1:08:01Soraya coming over and like grabbing Isla by the shoulder
- 1:08:03and being like, and Claude, could you go talk to that one
- 1:08:06over there? I think he's has a question to
- 1:08:08ask and might need advice. You remember our day in the best
- 1:08:11way. You see, Lumillion and Dapple
- 1:08:14seem to be talking like intensely like so obviously in
- 1:08:17love. Sarai is referring to the fact
- 1:08:19that Lumillion might be thinking about popping the question soon.
- 1:08:23He seems to be like, like making a little ring out of foliage and
- 1:08:29leaves and greenery. And Claude goes and and grabs
- 1:08:31Lumillion for conversation. And any other mingling
- 1:08:34conversations that you guys want to toss just two NBCS into a
- 1:08:37chat together? Esther, I told you.
- 1:08:41What? What?
- 1:08:42We we did it. We're here.
- 1:08:44Everybody's here. Yeah, it worked out.
- 1:08:47I. You're going to say you've been
- 1:08:49telling me this the whole time? I mean kinda.
- 1:08:51Guys, guys, Esther, Igor, my mom's here.
- 1:08:55I. Know are you in trouble?
- 1:08:56No, really, no. Turns out can't get this.
- 1:09:03So what's the tea? Separated my dad.
- 1:09:06Crazy. Not new.
- 1:09:07My mom turns out, used to be a favorite noble yet, right?
- 1:09:13No way. Yeah.
- 1:09:14Why'd she come to do me anyways? She had to get away.
- 1:09:17Big hole. Ethical issue.
- 1:09:18We're going. To have a sleepover soon.
- 1:09:20I know, turns out Akuma met my mom in the desert.
- 1:09:24Is he your dad's in? No, Igor, why is everyone
- 1:09:27assuming that Akuma's my dad not?
- 1:09:29A demon, not your dad. Yeah, OK, Daddy, not a.
- 1:09:32Demon not your daddy. Yeah, Why is everyone lying?
- 1:09:36Everyone lying? Did you have anything to share
- 1:09:38with me while I'm? Ask me anything.
- 1:09:40I'm an open book. I won't lie.
- 1:09:41I'm afraid. Well, OK, so then my mom made a
- 1:09:45deal with the Kuma to get through the desert and then
- 1:09:47like, kind of reignited the Infernals.
- 1:09:50Yeah. Oh my God.
- 1:09:52Yeah, I'll tell you about my grandma later.
- 1:09:54That's crazy. But yeah, everyone's here.
- 1:09:56And it, it would be really cool if if you guys could maybe help,
- 1:10:00you know, get the rest of the the well, they call themselves
- 1:10:03exiles, but we know that they're just normal people.
- 1:10:06But if we can, like, bring them into the fold and let them know
- 1:10:08that they're welcome here and that fire isn't scary.
- 1:10:11Zid anything for you? Thanks guys.
- 1:10:13I. Think Igor goes up to both of
- 1:10:15you and pulls you into each arm for a hug.
- 1:10:18Yeah, this place is for everyone.
- 1:10:19Everyone to have fun. I'm sorry I left you behind
- 1:10:22again, but I'm back now for good.
- 1:10:23I do have one secret. Please.
- 1:10:28Please. I've always been able to count.
- 1:10:33I just I really like the way that you guys help me and it
- 1:10:37made me feel safe and I just want you to know if you ever be
- 1:10:42be the count anything I can do it?
- 1:10:44Thanks, Igor. Also, how was it to be kind of
- 1:10:46like a Dominari there for a little bit?
- 1:10:48It was so awesome. I told people what to do.
- 1:10:51They do it. Yeah, I, I could literally do
- 1:10:54like whatever I wanted. I had, I had backflip sessions.
- 1:10:57I did. But we, we, it wasn't a real
- 1:10:59rainbow. We painted it like a rainbow and
- 1:11:02we did rainbow slides. It would that was we kind of hid
- 1:11:04that from everybody because we've got a lot of trouble, but.
- 1:11:06So do not, do not want to hear the rest of my story.
- 1:11:10An elderly Vilano I was just in the midst of telling.
- 1:11:14Are you telling you all about it?
- 1:11:16Just cuz I was there too. Is that Clara?
- 1:11:19Kazel is Clara Kazel here. He is amongst he is amongst a
- 1:11:28shadow cast. Fan of a rock band?
- 1:11:33Clara Kazel comes and talks and starts talking with Vilano,
- 1:11:35taking his attention away. So you.
- 1:11:36Have a long low pony. Yes, thank you.
- 1:11:39Right, first shirt, first shirt totally.
- 1:11:41I think another note about Vilano is that he quite
- 1:11:44obviously becomes the elder sage of Star Watch because he he came
- 1:11:48to know it quite well in the years that he prepared it for
- 1:11:51your your visit 25 years ago. I don't know how time works
- 1:11:55anymore anyways. My business.
- 1:11:57I think around this time your wind walk parable sweeps up and
- 1:12:00the the fire sweep up as well and the joy and conversation is
- 1:12:04had. Any other last notes before I
- 1:12:06describe a little bit of a time jump here?
- 1:12:09I think maybe as Parable comes out of his wind walk, more
- 1:12:12continues tornadoing the wind for him.
- 1:12:15I was actually gonna ask, could we all have a moment after all
- 1:12:18this mingling is happening that we all turn to the fire and use
- 1:12:21something of our own magics to make it bigger?
- 1:12:24Yeah, I cast fireball. Perfect, amazing.
- 1:12:28I cast control wind and I just swirl it up and around.
- 1:12:33I cast slow and I make the flames dance really
- 1:12:35romantically. Amazing, That's awesome, that's
- 1:12:40so cool. Lighting up the sky with flame
- 1:12:44and a column that shoots up with the wind.
- 1:12:47You feel a culmination of sorts as the flames reflect the
- 1:12:52ascension that you felt one through the root.
- 1:12:54And though it is a world that was created with problems in
- 1:12:58hand with all the good things that came with it, it is one
- 1:13:01that is yours. It is one that will be true.
- 1:13:05It is one that will not be threatened to be crushed every
- 1:13:09second by demons on all sides. I think Parable, while he's
- 1:13:13swirling around the fire, is thinking about what you know.
- 1:13:16A lot of this is built on newness and hope.
- 1:13:18I think his element he wants to add to that.
- 1:13:20It comes from his shop of curiosity, so he wants to add a
- 1:13:22little bit. If he's going to be push in Exo
- 1:13:25VS, I think his push is going to be in those moments of darkness
- 1:13:28for people that they feel a little in their last breath,
- 1:13:30they feel a little bit of curiosity.
- 1:13:34I think as you push you see the pull of Zen as some of the
- 1:13:38shadow cast remain on the outside.
- 1:13:40It's typically staying in the shadows, ironically enough, of
- 1:13:43the flame until you bring them into the closer fire.
- 1:13:46I've always wanted to be drawn and quartered.
- 1:13:49That split and bounce. Sorry, no, I love the I love the
- 1:13:52push towards curiosity. Like a pole to be, you know,
- 1:13:54included or held. I like the idea of like if the
- 1:13:56fire gets bigger there's no more shadow to hide in and they.
- 1:14:00Have to step forward, yes. Beautiful.
- 1:14:02None of us are. Well, we're all shadow cast.
- 1:14:04Or none of us are shadow. Cast the light shines on us all.
- 1:14:06Yes, and Cassie creates a true star to once more stand still
- 1:14:12for you all but this one. One that shines brightly upon
- 1:14:15you all in the best way, in the goodest way.
- 1:14:20And there I think we will flash forward one year from that day.
- 1:14:25What is it like? What has two wells undergone?
- 1:14:28Have you undertaken any sort of quests to Planes Unknown?
- 1:14:32You have the entire multiverse at your dispense, Or have you
- 1:14:35spent all of your time exploring this world?
- 1:14:38Parable would fly in like with the wind and the elements, and
- 1:14:44instead of paying attention to the elements of nature, I think
- 1:14:48he would focus on stories. And he tried to be a part of
- 1:14:53what Cass had really helped him connect with is that
- 1:14:57information, knowledge is for everyone and he would fly from
- 1:15:01place to place sharing stories. You at first begin to fly until
- 1:15:07you were one day upon a mountaintop where you find.
- 1:15:12A. Doorway and God presented itself
- 1:15:16to you once more, and you're offered a flight away from this
- 1:15:19world. You have a conversation with the
- 1:15:21wizard wish this one one of the nature of genies, and you argue
- 1:15:25back and forth on many topics. But I think you find agreement
- 1:15:29in the fact that wishes are best made for others.
- 1:15:34And you share stories of the wishes of this world throughout
- 1:15:39the cosmos, not just throughout the world.
- 1:15:42Maybe not, perhaps in just a year, but you have the entire
- 1:15:45cosmos at your behest as the store opens upon this
- 1:15:48mountaintop. Hello Wish.
- 1:15:52Parable. The last we met, I was of a
- 1:15:56different mind. You put up a good fight.
- 1:16:00As do you, your breath becomes you.
- 1:16:04It's nice to be in a space where we can talk.
- 1:16:09Well, I have nothing but time here, time to think, time to
- 1:16:16regret, but also, as you've taught me, time to hope for I
- 1:16:22have friends alongside that keep me company once more.
- 1:16:26And ebb and flow are upon his shoulders and manifest.
- 1:16:29As you see, they're already chatting with Nixon more.
- 1:16:32Yeah, Nixon. More pop up.
- 1:16:33So yeah. Yeah, as you hear the voices of
- 1:16:36Nixon, more chime in as AB says. Who are you?
- 1:16:41Who are you? Get out of my domain.
- 1:16:43No soft parts on that one. I was here first.
- 1:16:46No, I was right. Here no that.
- 1:16:49Was your first blow. Blows like racing alongside of
- 1:16:55more as that Nick's end, but kind of go at it like pushing
- 1:17:00head to It's sizzling rock against stone.
- 1:17:03In a moment of levity, I look up at the chaos like kind of
- 1:17:06happening that we only can see and I just shake my head with a
- 1:17:09smile at wish. The arguments happen in primal
- 1:17:11voices alone, but all words that you speak to one another with
- 1:17:15your voice are well spoken and well said.
- 1:17:19And it is. I think this is a common
- 1:17:21occurrence that parable might do traveling, signing the door, and
- 1:17:25being shown a new place that might appreciate a story.
- 1:17:28Yeah, I think Parable spend his time on this world trying to
- 1:17:32share culture. So like the things were were so
- 1:17:34segmented in this world before with the the artifice and the
- 1:17:38the machines and the lens of fortune and that's so separate
- 1:17:41from different cultures. I try to bring them together.
- 1:17:43So I hope to see the two wells full of the technology from the
- 1:17:47lands of Fortune and the lands of Fortune with the the depth of
- 1:17:51tradition from the Moray and the favor I and the lands of Fate
- 1:17:56flourish. Amazing.
- 1:17:57I think with, with your, with your travel and combined with
- 1:18:01perhaps Cassie's help, you're able to link up not only these
- 1:18:06doorways for your own personal travel, but also the color
- 1:18:09pools, the Oasis that are much more permanently connected as as
- 1:18:15true portals to one another. That Zen keeps a list of.
- 1:18:19She's the city planner who's got.
- 1:18:20The directory a lot, yeah. The the why did we install the
- 1:18:23hell magic system for the for the gateway again?
- 1:18:26You just never know and and and. I'd rather be prepared than not.
- 1:18:31Everyone in is in like a line. I pick pick a little piece of
- 1:18:34hair, peel a little bit of nail, put it in a car.
- 1:18:38It's like, it's like, give me your trace cup, please.
- 1:18:42But like, in a cool, chill, fun way.
- 1:18:43Yeah, yeah. No, don't worry.
- 1:18:45No, your DNA is your own, right? You can take it back at any
- 1:18:49time, I promise. Ancestry.com.
- 1:18:53And of course, they're provided healing as they do it.
- 1:18:55I think on top of the mountain, though, after some philosophical
- 1:18:59debate with Wish, we kind of look at each other and I want to
- 1:19:04do a dance of the Murray people just quickly with him, kind of.
- 1:19:07It almost looks like Dance fighting back and forth and just
- 1:19:10nod to him as if they're in agreement to to disagree has
- 1:19:13been met and say I know you'll at least carry the curiosity
- 1:19:18that others need and give them a push up those stairs.
- 1:19:21I will parable. You may call me Azareza.
- 1:19:26It was nice to have finally met you Azareza.
- 1:19:29You are welcome anytime and I open the door.
- 1:19:32I think that's a good point to to cut away.
- 1:19:34And is there anything else that someone spends their year doing
- 1:19:38apart from of course building up the 2 willows and flourishing in
- 1:19:41the in the community of it? After reuniting with her mom and
- 1:19:47Claude and maybe even Vilano, I think Cassie's goal would be to
- 1:19:52work together to, similarly to Parable, make sure that everyone
- 1:19:58around anyone who wants to knows the history of what really
- 1:20:03happened over the last. Before the great wishing that we
- 1:20:07lived through. If you wouldn't mind, I would
- 1:20:10love if that story or that booklet of the story of might
- 1:20:15perhaps be called Wish Hunter, but also have the subtitle of
- 1:20:19The Lucky Few. I love that.
- 1:20:21I think it would be a book. It would be captured in a series
- 1:20:24of books, probably. But I also wonder if, if Cassie
- 1:20:27would, you know, continue on as an astronomer by day but like a
- 1:20:31history teacher by night because what is looking at the stars if
- 1:20:36not looking to the past? Right.
- 1:20:38Amazing. So it sort of makes sense.
- 1:20:40And I think travelling around to make sure that everyone who
- 1:20:43wants to know what happened has the true and accurate picture,
- 1:20:47not just of the logistics of what happened in space, but also
- 1:20:50of how different groups were affected.
- 1:20:52Yeah. Explaining communities, the
- 1:20:54communities of our friends and. Well, yeah, languages have
- 1:20:58changed. Like there are culture, there's
- 1:20:59culture shock happening just due to the fact that years passed
- 1:21:02differently in certain regions of the world and not not others.
- 1:21:05She reflects on how when she was growing up with Zen and Parable,
- 1:21:09there was all this myth and legend and lore about what
- 1:21:13happened 100 years prior. And myth and legend are great,
- 1:21:17but after a time of such universal deceit, telling the
- 1:21:22truth is an act of resistance. And I think that's and that's
- 1:21:26what drives her, and I'd imagine her family too.
- 1:21:29You inspire a generation. I think there's a mass movement
- 1:21:33behind this, this information in the ways that you share it.
- 1:21:37I think in the several ways that you mentioned, they each are
- 1:21:41surges in this what is in all rights like a a mass education.
- 1:21:47I mean, the lands of fate weren't any more educated than
- 1:21:49any other medieval world. You didn't you hadn't as many
- 1:21:52people that couldn't read as those that could.
- 1:21:54You not only do what you hope to do, but you expand the
- 1:21:58appreciation and search for knowledge, providing also like a
- 1:22:02universal translation system amongst cultures, allowing for
- 1:22:08and again, interconnectedness just seems to be the theme of
- 1:22:11this world. I don't think that there's a
- 1:22:13single culture that doesn't know of all the other cultures of
- 1:22:16this world. Given the fact that travel is so
- 1:22:20prolific and you, Cassie, are spending so much time on
- 1:22:24spreading the exact details of what happened, there's no
- 1:22:27miscommunication to cause conflict and.
- 1:22:31Just the truth from all perspectives, from all the
- 1:22:33perspectives I've been able to reach and record and gather
- 1:22:36between everyone we've met. My friends, my parents, Raya
- 1:22:41people up in the sky, people down below the wells.
- 1:22:45I think in a very madding way, there are certain people who
- 1:22:49still refuse to listen to the truth, that as soon as you tell
- 1:22:52them the truth, they double down on their resistance.
- 1:22:54One such group is our radical friends over in Domi who still
- 1:22:58call themselves Star Callers and the alien Solari, and you come
- 1:23:02across them on your journeys and several other groups like that.
- 1:23:06That doesn't stop your spark to spread to the majority who love
- 1:23:11and appreciate the knowledge and transparency that you share.
- 1:23:15Is there any other communities or groups that you either really
- 1:23:19synergize with or think you find yourself in contrast to?
- 1:23:24Like, don't me. As you share this information,
- 1:23:28you realize that it is a journey that has value because there are
- 1:23:31obstacles in the way of it. Cassie probably really does not
- 1:23:35enjoy returning to the two wells, to the people of the two
- 1:23:39wells to sort of try and defend the reputation of maybe her and
- 1:23:46her friends. I wonder if between Cassie and
- 1:23:50Parabolins in there are people who think we did the wrong thing
- 1:23:53or who feel that now that they know all the truth.
- 1:23:56I don't know. It's sort of like the hometown
- 1:23:58vibe of what do? What do the hometown people
- 1:24:00think of us? Is there a gossip?
- 1:24:02Is there frustration? Is there misconceptions?
- 1:24:06And I wouldn't be surprised if Cassie felt like she had
- 1:24:08outgrown the spaces she grew up in, but also feels it is her
- 1:24:13duty to stay. I think the fact that they are,
- 1:24:16the stories are so detailed make them even grander, like you are
- 1:24:21living legends. And it's really hard to avoid as
- 1:24:24you kind of have outgrown this place, not out of any sort of
- 1:24:28claustrophobic sense to leave, but out of a sense of the things
- 1:24:32that this place could offer you versus what you offer it.
- 1:24:35You know that this place runs with your very your very
- 1:24:39efforts. The you see every place that
- 1:24:42you've touched, every individual in this community is inspired by
- 1:24:46you. That's not something that you
- 1:24:47can hide from anymore. And most of all, it's hard to
- 1:24:50forget you 3 heroes for when you leave the Dragons sing most.
- 1:24:57And Sophandria, I think, and her family are also amongst the
- 1:25:01trees, as I need to note that I think that they help you with
- 1:25:04your travels. So especially throughout these
- 1:25:07these moments, I think when you come back, you have moments of
- 1:25:09like either Mojo telling like much more done up stories or
- 1:25:15Saphandria telling it exactly like it was.
- 1:25:17But all people who speak so well of you that you are.
- 1:25:21Yeah. There's no hiding from it.
- 1:25:22You are the most famous people in this world.
- 1:25:25Like we hate that. Yeah, yeah, Parable spent most
- 1:25:28of his time with Cass's help, either traveling through the
- 1:25:31color pools or like some some other.
- 1:25:33However I can travel to just show up in a place, tell the
- 1:25:36stories and leave and move on. Yeah.
- 1:25:38It becomes the most annoying rumor and confusing rumor is
- 1:25:42that the Wizards 3 have returned because it's part of the story.
- 1:25:45It's it's it's a factual part enough where it just loops
- 1:25:48enough times where it's just like 3 magical people are just
- 1:25:51flying around. Just doing our jobs.
- 1:25:53You really inspired me with the the book and I I imagine that
- 1:25:56parable hasn't hadn't really all these stories are in him now,
- 1:26:01like he doesn't have the need for the good book anymore.
- 1:26:04And, you know, open the door, it closes, wish goes door opens
- 1:26:08back up and parable says, Oh, I forgot this.
- 1:26:11And I I hand him the good book, but on the cover now it says
- 1:26:16Wish Hunter the lucky few. I love it.
- 1:26:20I think if you want to give the good book back to yeah.
- 1:26:23Just at least that cool. I do love the idea of giving up
- 1:26:26the good book because I no longer need it and I think it
- 1:26:28was wishes. And if anybody is the transition
- 1:26:31in a transition space, for them to at least pass by the origin
- 1:26:35of our story seems special to me.
- 1:26:37Yeah, I like that. And I think those stories truly
- 1:26:41do travel as you hand over the good book to wish once more.
- 1:26:45For he is nothing but a storyteller in this space to the
- 1:26:49travellers that come through. And he, I think even at the
- 1:26:52earmark, shares that he's heard rumor that there from travellers
- 1:26:57around that there are even worlds named after you. 3 An
- 1:27:02entire world out there in the cosmos you haven't visited yet,
- 1:27:06but a world called Parable, a world called Cassiopeia, a world
- 1:27:13called Zen. That's cool.
- 1:27:19I think. You know, not what those nature
- 1:27:21of those girlfriends that that remains for a campaign far, far
- 1:27:25in the future. But we're nearing the end of
- 1:27:27time and I want to make sure we round out Zen.
- 1:27:29What do you do with your last year here?
- 1:27:32Yeah, I think Zen feels responsibility to the shadow
- 1:27:34cast to take them in. She understands the loss of
- 1:27:41purpose and empathizes with that.
- 1:27:44With all of them being, you know, having this whole goal
- 1:27:48exactly like Zen and then having it kind of just ripped away from
- 1:27:50them and not anything to really work towards.
- 1:27:54I mean, a lot of them are probably either not committed to
- 1:27:58the light anymore or haven't even stepped into their their
- 1:28:03patronage yet. So I think Zen would train them.
- 1:28:07I was, I was just thinking of Esther like teaching people how
- 1:28:10to use the light for fun. Like you have you have Esther
- 1:28:13and E or obviously as like generals.
- 1:28:16And and I mean that in a non militant way, like generals in
- 1:28:19this fight to to deprogram these people who so obviously need it
- 1:28:24and ask for it. Like many speak to view of of a
- 1:28:28loss of faith and a need to replace it with something so
- 1:28:32much so that they they want to go back like, like people that
- 1:28:36tell you of intrusive thought that they deal with because of
- 1:28:39who you are and your reputation in the community.
- 1:28:42They feel safe at first. It's kind of kind of fucking
- 1:28:45insulting and how, OK. Now you like me.
- 1:28:49And just like how comfortable they are with telling you their
- 1:28:52how, how like, I mean, the same people that condemned you.
- 1:28:56Yeah, right. The same community that that
- 1:28:59that told you that you were something bad tell you to your
- 1:29:04face, I'm afraid that I'm bad and you have to have the grace
- 1:29:08to to be there for them. Yeah, I think she definitely
- 1:29:12works really hard to change the focus from an external focus to
- 1:29:16an internal focus for people that they don't have to prove
- 1:29:19themselves to anything or anyone.
- 1:29:21And they just really work on like inner resilience and
- 1:29:25strength. And so she really does still
- 1:29:27like kind of dig back into her background and they do sword
- 1:29:31forms and they do like all the sort of kind of grounding
- 1:29:35rituals that Zen took with her from this really structured
- 1:29:39place, but have turned into her own tools and shows them
- 1:29:43different ways to control their emotions, their, their powers.
- 1:29:47And if they want to pledge themselves to anything else,
- 1:29:51they can. And I think that's a big theme
- 1:29:53of like Esther's choosing the light.
- 1:29:56Igor is now a paladin. Zen is infernal.
- 1:29:59Like, it's just this, like, you can be and do and choose
- 1:30:03whatever you want. And she's just training them to
- 1:30:07be strong on their own. With that said, she's not
- 1:30:11training them in a way to like be a unit.
- 1:30:14Like it's never like we're doing practice drills to be defend
- 1:30:20something. Like it's never.
- 1:30:21It's truly like we are doing it for ourselves and to be strong
- 1:30:26and confident in yourself is really powerful.
- 1:30:29I think that that really synergizes with what you find to
- 1:30:32be true of the Murray culture on this opposing side is at first
- 1:30:36there's kind of this cultural clash between 2:00, just vastly
- 1:30:40different peoples. But I think that's one really
- 1:30:43synergizing points. These training sessions that you
- 1:30:48guys undergo of how to live in synergy, not only do you, I
- 1:30:52think, give them a sense of physical confidence that allows
- 1:30:56them to again, deprogram a little bit, but also I just
- 1:31:01imagine that interacting with the Willow wisp rather than an
- 1:31:05Archon Lantern and seeing that all the natural ways that this
- 1:31:10community can be interacted with amongst.
- 1:31:12Yeah, I imagine, again, not a unit, but a bunch of people
- 1:31:16comfortable in the Forest of Wicked Willows that if danger
- 1:31:20were to come, similar to the Keepers, they are not a militant
- 1:31:23people, but damn if you should fuck with them.
- 1:31:26Yeah, they're the last that you'd want to fight.
- 1:31:28Yeah, I did have the image of like them kind of taking up or
- 1:31:32like making their homes in in the willows, like having kind of
- 1:31:35the like walkways between and they're living up in the
- 1:31:38branches. Absolutely.
- 1:31:40I think almost annoyingly, some that are harder to deprogram
- 1:31:45constantly asks Zen if they can pledge to her and she's
- 1:31:50constantly saying dear God no are.
- 1:31:53You listening to me? And I'm catching up again.
- 1:31:56Yeah, time. Keeps catching you for like like
- 1:31:59coffee chats, I think and being like you know, you could always
- 1:32:01send them back to me. I know I said I wouldn't do it
- 1:32:03again, but if you're ever wanting me to, I mean they need.
- 1:32:06I'm gonna need you to do at least 25 box jumps before I will
- 1:32:10even consider it all. Right, that's that's fair
- 1:32:12enough. Not be asked me.
- 1:32:14Give me another 50 years. I'm 100% imagining with all this
- 1:32:17language of deprogramming and group Hangouts, but
- 1:32:20individuality of Igor running a yoga class or like some sort of
- 1:32:24like. Everybody count to Ted exactly
- 1:32:27inhale what 2? I really I did imagine. 66 in,
- 1:32:32four out, everybody. Hold for 24.
- 1:32:36And I, I think Zen definitely encourages the shadow cast to go
- 1:32:42to Cassie's history lessons to enlighten themselves with the
- 1:32:46knowledge of the world around them, understanding that their
- 1:32:50look in the world is pretty narrow and just really, yeah,
- 1:32:54just guiding them. I think in the back of her mind,
- 1:32:56there's definitely, and probably after talking to Cass, like if
- 1:32:59she went to Domi to be like, OK, like, what's the vibe over
- 1:33:03there? And doesn't really know what to
- 1:33:08do about it. I think there's a part of her
- 1:33:10that wants to go try to reason with her dad, but if he didn't
- 1:33:16even listen to neutral advice, I think even Zen showing up would
- 1:33:21be almost reinforcement to his delusion.
- 1:33:25And at this point, I think Zen kind of has to just let it go
- 1:33:29and trust that. You find an abandoned Domi.
- 1:33:33You find a place that you recover many beautiful bits of
- 1:33:37your past from. Domi is again scarred by El Dari
- 1:33:42attacks that must have taken out a majority of the community in
- 1:33:46terms of structure. Many people escaped, but that
- 1:33:50radical few is no longer here. They've since left and you can
- 1:33:54see traces of like massively complex teleportation circles
- 1:33:58that they sent out full unit. It it this looks militant the
- 1:34:02way they left looks militant. It it looks like they still are
- 1:34:06operating as if it's the end of the world.
- 1:34:08You can just tell that from the way they left this place.
- 1:34:11There's no all the all the nostalgic things are still
- 1:34:14there, right? Like there was no time.
- 1:34:17They they took no time to grab things for sense mentality.
- 1:34:20I think with Zen being so like choice driven and independence
- 1:34:24driven, like she is going to cross that bridge if she needs
- 1:34:28to. If they become aggressive
- 1:34:32towards anything like, then it's something to handle.
- 1:34:34But I think it's like, you know. Not my circus.
- 1:34:39Exactly like I I think then is truly going to let go of the
- 1:34:44responsibility. I think this is what good is we
- 1:34:48could wipe them out. They they will be a problem for
- 1:34:53US one day. But even to me, I think we've
- 1:34:59had enough destruction. I can't say that I've been
- 1:35:03changed for the better, but I know I've been changed for good
- 1:35:10and. I'm with that.
- 1:35:13I'm with that amazing, amazing wicked reference.
- 1:35:16I think there is a good place to end our our epilogue here.
- 1:35:20Are there any final notes y'all before we sunset this Wish
- 1:35:24Hunter Book 1 campaign? Parable hands wish.
- 1:35:27The book closes. The door turns around.

- 1:36:47below the fires below the seven completed.
- 1:36:54The 8th. Turned to unfold as I remember
- 1:37:03that's how the story goes. They told me of riches and dead
- 1:37:11men in ditches beyond the rising Rd.
- 1:37:16It might be. The trick is we ran from those
- 1:37:20witches before they took all our souls.
- 1:37:23We only knew the lucky few that made it till the end.
- 1:37:34You might hear a story of bloodshed and glory and a wish
- 1:37:40from the dead. We wandered the lands with Fade
- 1:37:47in our hands where Wizards told us to roam.
- 1:37:51Just real echoes of treasure, A soul it would measure of any who
- 1:37:57dare behold, we found what we'd find.
- 1:38:04Running from time our hope held till stars awoke.
- 1:38:10They never didn't say what we lose on the way.
- 1:38:15A cruel and fateful joke. We only knew the lucky few that
- 1:38:25made it till the end. You might hear a story of blood
- 1:38:31without glory and a wish for a friend.
- 1:38:38We only knew the lucky few that fell along the bend.
- 1:38:46They might just miss that long dead wish they saved for the
