- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody welcome to this episode of a cheesy popcorn and I finally did something I actually wrote down the episode numbers on my little cheat sheet So this is episode 16.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_02]: 16.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so there you go 16 episodes of cheesy pop It could be our last now people would be like, well, I thought these guys were only talking about movies
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm Chris Miles, your co-host here for cheesy popcorn.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, I've got another vodka, as I always call it here on the Rise Network.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's called New On Music Grow, and sitting across for me is Michael Hose.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: Ann of our.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I have a podcast too.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: Other podcasts called Can I call you dad?
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: which kind of wrapped up, but didn't wrap up because we're still working on editing the pickleball games that we played.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: I've got the games pretty much edited, so once that's done, we're gonna try to come in and do a little commentary on it, and then we'll put it up as soon as possible.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys can see how well that went.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: At any rate, we are here on the rise in that work and we're hoping you're enjoying what we're doing, we're enjoying what we're doing.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: And we got to see, did we get to see a movie together?
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't get to see a movie together, but we watched a movie sort of together and we're going to talk about it.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: That movie, of course, is the roof man.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember they're being a dog at it, but anyway.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe there was, and I don't remember it.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: But we won't get enough, just so we're not done.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: We won't get into that, just yet.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, movies coming out this week.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's the first thing we do.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: And then the other thing we do is we talk about other movies that we recommend from the genre.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: Now, are we going to call the roof man like a true crime type movie or a crime movie or... Well, it's a true story.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe the title is true stories.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't have to label it crime, then if we talk about other movies, it could be a true story about a long history story, then I guess that's it.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think pictures are more crime type movies.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: They're not necessarily true stories, but we'll go with that.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think anybody cares.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it matters either.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: There's just, there's other movies for us to talk about.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the portion of the movie.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: Although congratulations.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: We got what like 80 downloads.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: 91.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he said.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: So everybody who download it, tell the friend that'll double and then they'll tell the friend that'll triple and then they'll tell the friend and that'll quadruple And then we'll become a shampoo cover and then it'll be exactly you remember I thought you were too young to remember that Was that shampoo though?
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Is Vio 5?
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Was it Vio 5?
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Okay I believe no Clara Clara
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's Clara.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: I believe it was Clara.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: We'll look it up.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: Make sure, but I think it's going to find the old commercial on YouTube somewhere.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: You tell a friend and you tell a friend and you tell a friend.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then it became the Brady bunch times a zillion.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: They had the same like when they had the little boxes.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: That's funny.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of funny movies that are coming out this week.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing funny.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: These are all pretty, well, well, there's a romantic comedy, I guess, so I guess that's one funny.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_02]: Predator Badlands coming out this weekend and then Nuremberg also coming out this weekend.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: If I need to explain Nuremberg to you, then you clearly don't know what Nazis are.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: So that's just, I don't just turn on your local news.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: you'll get a hint.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we need to explain predator badlands.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's supposed to be another movie in the series of predators.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, there's that.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even think there's anybody like worthwhile in the cast for predator.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, L fannings in it.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: So, so there's that.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, there's nobody, nobody else is of mentioned so to speak.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: I wish you all the best is the, it's actually a drama.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a romantic comedy, but that's also coming out this week.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: That look kind of interesting, but it also looks a little macabre too.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know about that one.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: And then, movie called Christy, which is with Sidney Sweeney, and Ben Foster, that one's got a lot of people hyped, because it's supposed to be like a Sidney Sweeney reflection kind of thing.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder if that means there's a lot of mirrors in it.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we've got like a mirrors movie and then a doors movie.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, anyway.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then last but not least, we have two more.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: Die My Love, which was with Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Patterson, so that's got a couple of well-known names and that can be interesting, that's a thriller drama, thriller not to be confused with Michael Jackson.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: Not to be confused.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: And then last but not least for new movies coming out this week.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_02]: This one's a Netflix release And I'm really interested in this one and I'm going to do my hardest to try to convince you that this is the movie We need to review for next week.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Giamal del Toro's Frankenstein.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you don't have to convince me.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, good two things.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: You said there Frankenstein and Giamal okay, so that the Giamal from Jimmy Kimmel
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: No, the actual good to your mom.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: He, yeah, well, you know what?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's very, he's gonna be like, in my opinion, he does everything.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: You can pose him in anything and he'll do it.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a great story, I don't know if you heard his story.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: I won't go into it, but it's a really great American, it's an American dream story with a little twist, which I think is really cool.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: With a little salsa.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: With a little salsa or lime.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: A lime.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: With the lime, nukokanette.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so I think we figured it out.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think next week we'll do Guillermo de Toro's Frankenstein.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's, I think it's only none of that flex now.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: It came out a couple of weeks ago.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: It was in the theaters.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, you know, wait till that comes out of Netflix.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: And so I guess a little little later after Halloween, but we'll definitely put that on.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: I have to figure out a way to get Netflix for next week.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get that covered for you, don't worry.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: OK, thank you.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: Between you and me Andrew and the guy that likes to call you dad,
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're okay.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're okay.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: We'll figure it out.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: So moving on the roof man.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, was the movie that we both watch.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't watch it together.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I give you a little lonely.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I was so there's that I was it was kind of an empty theater.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, was it it was going to ask there were three of us were there three girls sitting No, I you like there was for the last one.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, I didn't get that.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't get the two ladies in the get the other girl next to me It was it was me and another couple.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: They sat way in the back and I took one of the more of the front row seats
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: Although, I don't know how in the world you could do any of that in this movie.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need that because yeah, we'll save that portion for when I talk about it.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: So what did you, what is your review of the roof man?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I, or should we give them like a synopsis or like what it's like, what kind of movie it is?
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's based on a true story and I like movies that are based on a true story because then you're getting some factual stuff.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: Although, are they really true when they're based on true stories?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: We got to put that Hollywood spin on it.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you have that, what do they call that, creative license license?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, and some movies go too far in my opinion with creative license.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they put things in a movie that you could only know, if you were either with that person, the moment they died, if it's somebody died, or if you were in their head.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so they, you know, they take creative license and say what they think the person might have said, there's some movies that have been like that, that I didn't care from like a man.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: Really, you know, they were going to do that.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: This one I thought seemed pretty true to life.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: And if they didn't say it was a true story, it would be incredibly unbelievable as a true story.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: I thought they said that at the very beginning, they did.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: True story.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: If I want to see this movie, and I got in a few minutes late, and I didn't know it was a true story, I would be sitting there going, whoever wrote this is an idiot, because there's no way this could happen.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: And it's funny, because now I just thought about that, and I'm like, now I know the reason why they did that.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, because when we first started, and I said this is a true story, I was like,
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I don't know why that was necessary, but now that you brought that up and I started thinking about it I'm like now I know why they did it so okay.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, I think we're gonna let the last movie we watched We were we were in in pretty close agreement, which is unusual for us This one night can see we're not gonna be I would give this I would give it at least a eight and a half Oh, yeah, no, we're not gonna be
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so this is a movie that I thought was a fun movie to watch.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: I like Chan and Tatum, Chan and Tatum.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: I like him.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: I like them in other movies.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of as a, this isn't the right word, but like I can't be kind of fun guy in a movie.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: And this one, I thought he put a more motion and more acting into.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: So that's one thing that I thought.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: So you like to be magic, Mike, is what you're saying?
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: I love the magic, my, and I want to say why.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the dance.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: I thought played her role, her, you know, her lovely actress role down beautifully for this role.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: She, I thought she really carried the role really, really well.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: I love that it, that at the end they showed pictures and actual footage.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: I like that like the real stuff which I was hope memory said they should have done with With the springsteen.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, see that was missing in springsteen for me.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: This it tied it All together with the the first graphic in the beginning that said this is a based on a true story and then they actually show you it and I kind of like that part of it.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what I what I didn't like
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: I thought the ending was kind of crummy.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I hate to say that because it's a true story and that's probably what really happened.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: But I was really bummed out at the end that the love interest turned them in.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that was a spoiler alert, folks, by the way.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, so I predicted that probably about two minutes before it happened.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I see, I thought it was going to go the other way.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Then they turned it around.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: and there was a tell and in the in the scene previous that there was a tell and from that tell I was like you don't do it see I don't play cards like you son and have a tell signal thingy well you have a pen and tell or no no no no pen I could not fool those guys ever but then they at the end the end because there's a double ending she turns him in and well are alert you're alert
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: Another further.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: She turns him in at the end, he's in the therapy group and he has a line.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: I won't say the line.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: I won't give that part away.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a line that makes it more of a more like, okay, I kind of get it now.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's another, there's like a third in the inactually.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: what's the line that you feel?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean we're already spoiling it so I might as well keep going why don't you want to give every thing away maybe maybe if you do that maybe then we'll get all those extra downloads because people like do you got to listen to it because they need like tons of spoiler alerts in there.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well we can get our spoiler alert count up two every night we're recording this because then we could like spoiler alert give us spoiler alert I know but anyway okay well he's in the therapy circle in prison and he says
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I belong.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: He realizes that he made mistakes that hurt people.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: And the only way for him not to continue to hurt people.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: was to be where he was.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a tough realization, I think, because he was just a good guy gone bad.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and he went bad for a good reason.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: See, I mean, that's how I looked at it.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: I said, okay, so this guy went bad, but he went bad for if you're dead, it's like the best reason to go bad.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: He wanted to get his daughter something better than what he was able to give her at the time.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: And he kind of found the way to do it.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: And always robbing McDonalds,
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what's it just McDonald's?
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: But then again, McDonald's, one of their, one of their spokespeople is the hamburger for Christ's sake.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: So what's so wrong about Robynum?
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: Hamburger has been doing it for years.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's been robbing hamburgers.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, money.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's money, though.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: Then shoplifting is instilling.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's not money.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you're right.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: My bad.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to close later.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: Pick up a couple sweaters and say, Chris, Miles, you should wait till Friday because they're black Friday sales starts.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're earlier in the big, started Christmas music on Light of Fam.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yesterday, three clogs.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: No, it started on November 1st, actually.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, maybe not on Light of Fam, which is local here in the Chicago land area, but Chris was using it on November 1st.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Light of Fam was Tuesday, because it was a $1,000 contest going on.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's too early if I'm sorry people, come on, no, I don't need to hear Mariah Carey at this point of my life.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to hear Mariah Carey ever again.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's so many better Christmas songs out there.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want the Dolphin squealer?
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: There's like two songs or hers that I like.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_02]: I like fantasy.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: And there's another song that I can't think of off the top of my head.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: Heroes are good songs.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then a hero comes along.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's not a bad song.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: But a lot of her stuff and in her later years, she just got so goofy.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, my place is zero is better.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, yeah, that's a good, that's a good hero song.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good hero song.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I don't want to hear anything.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: So my eight and a half, eight and a half.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a movie you watch.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: You might maybe watch it twice.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: If I came out, if it on a streaming service, I'd probably watch it again.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: Because it was enjoyable.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: It was pretty quick paste.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: And it was, I thought it was well written, you know, based on a true story, but well written.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: I like Shannon.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Shannon Tatum did a nice job.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he showed a real good range that I hadn't seen before.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: And Kirsten did the opposite.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: She took it from where she was down a notch.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought that she played that role really, really well.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: So that's my, any, any Alice's.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: And he elicis, okay.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: So officially this movie is a dark comedy, it's a dark romance, it's a biography, it's a crime movie, it's a drama movie, it's a history movie, it's a music movie, which makes no sense to me whatsoever.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a romance.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_02]: I will agree with all of those except for a romance or except for music.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now the thing of this is this movie, the events of this movie took place in like the early 2000s.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: So like just after the 90s and everything I think it was 2004 is when this guy was actually released.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's basically a charismatic criminal while on the run from the police.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_02]: He hides in hidden space of a toy store and there he basically adapts a new identity and becomes involved with an employee who works at the toy store.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: And there's a romantic relationship that develops from it and it's unlikely and it's completely risky.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna save my rating for the end.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm surprised you didn't have other things.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: Usually you have things you liked about it, things you didn't like about it, and all that kind of stuff.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: So you just enjoyed the movie all the way through, there wasn't anything like that.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: I said things I liked and things that didn't like.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I missed some of the things, or maybe they were completely different from what I did.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was too slow.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I didn't think I thought it started out way too slow and it took too long to get into everything and I was like, where is this movie going now I will say this say this when this there we've done now when it finally did start to pick up when it got to the first escape.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, then it started to pick up and then I thought the pacing was pretty good, but I think the developing some of the things they developed, I know they had to do it so they could set them up, but I think a couple of those birthday scenes just dragged on a little too long in the very beginning and then I feel like, you know,
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: There was something else that happened right before the the the bust and I was like okay he should have been busted earlier kind of water broke down to but anyway see at chatting to him does a fantastic job I don't think he's a bad actor at all I think it was a bad act I just thought he played kind of the same role for a bunch of times well and in this one he showed a lot more rain.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, for sure.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's got some range.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and this one in Marseille.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: I also feel like this was a movie that was for the ladies, especially those that like chanting Tatum because there's a nude scene in it and it involves only him.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: It was a nude scene.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, do you talk remember that in the in the toys are us I don't when he's oh Which is the same cuz a shower in the glitch.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay, so there's the next thing.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna say Why was Peter Dinklage in this movie?
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: I have no idea exactly.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's I had that in my notes and I forgot to say I didn't know why Why he had to be in this movie could have been and such a kind of a minor role played a bully which was kind of out of his
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well, now he's a bully and a lot of things, but he's got that sharp tongue and he's usually that quick hitter and he's usually like that's what he does.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: And in this one, I was like, did you just put him in here just so we could have another name in here?
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: So other, so like Game of Thrones fans would go see it because they're like, oh Peter Dinkler isn't in because they love him because of all that stuff.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if you're going to go see it because of Peter Dinkler, don't, it's not worth it.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: No, his role is minimal.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: And honestly, I
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: The only thing I could think of and I said this and I said this to a friend of mine is that perhaps the store manager was a dwarf and that's why they need a Peter Dinklage.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, but I don't know because I didn't bother to look there trying to stay true to the story, maybe that's it and okay, that's fine.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: I do, however, I will say this, the toys are us impeccable job from the set design.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: of this toys are us.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: I felt like I was a kid again, literally, and being a kid.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: But you didn't know that it was a hiding place in toys are us.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know what?
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: The funny thing is, like, kind of did.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: So as a kid, when you knew that place was there, so as a kid, I remember going up to the bike aisles and banging on the walls, and I was like, that sounds hollow.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: So when he did that, I was like, no shit.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, wow, anyway.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, spoilers change, kid.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, I was up and observer kind of like this guy.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, I noticed things that other people don't know this.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, I'm quoting the movie, like, almost verbatim.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I never been to Toysers as a kid, by the way, ever.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, as a kid, probably no, because Toysers probably wasn't around then.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: It probably wasn't around.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think toysers anything until the 70s, and you probably weren't a kid at that.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: When we never had toys ever, my dad never bought a toys.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: Birthday your Christmas, we never got anything.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, I'm sorry.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's okay.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: But other than that, I thought the Toyserus was the design and the Toyserus was phenomenal.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: The tookle me almost.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, holy cow, like just amazing.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: And not 3D printed either, because they all giggled.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: Well, one of them giggled.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember if they all giggled, but anyway,
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: One of them giggled the other ones got the heck beat out of them.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, that's true, too.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: But then it, so here's my thing.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted the movie to make a point.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: And it felt like it wasn't getting anywhere for a while.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: Until we got to the Toys of Us part and then the love interest part of it.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: And then the rest of it was so fantastical.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: And this is why I said, now I understand why they started the movie with this is a true story.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: Because this is way too fantastical to be real.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that it is real is like, are you absolutely kidding me?
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, however, it's not what the preview set it up to be and that thoroughly annoys me I thought that this was going to be like a robbery movie with chanting tape and it was going to be like a comedy And I was going to be this and it was going to be that and it wasn't saying I didn't get that from the previews I did and I didn't get the funny comedy comedy comedy and the funny thing is all the funny moments of the movie or in the previews again
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there are most of them are.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's a few that aren't, but most of them are I missed them because I didn't laugh at anything else except for the ones I had already saw and I was like I saw these already so okay.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, I'm only going to give this movie a six and a half because actually a six I take that back I saw.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: I while it was entertaining.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad I went and saw it on the cheap days.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I said what I said.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: So you were asking me about titles for the show.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I said this.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: I believe that what theater should do from now on because and I'm gonna upset people with what I'm about to say.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think movies are as good as they used to be.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: No, they're not and maybe it's because I'm getting older and you could do all that stuff and whatever you want to say I just feel like the magic's gone I feel like we're we're chasing scripts and we're trying to do things that are great and everything like that and don't get me wrong the roofman's entertaining It's see at at least once, but after that you're never gonna watch it again
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and you'll probably be like, oh, wow.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the cool thing is they really did build this toys rough from the ground up.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: So that's, that's what I'm going to give Kudos to this because it was absolutely amazing and phenomenal in that case.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, like I said, the movies entertaining, but I just, you know, I don't understand what Peter Dinklet was in it.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: No, dad, I don't get angry with you there.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: And while Channing looks close to the particular individual, he doesn't dumps looks nothing like her at all.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't know, I thought she looked a little bit like her.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: There is no little bit like her.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: So folks, at the end of the movie, don't leave.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, don't leave.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: Because there is footage from the real people and some interviews.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: And some interviews.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's kind of cool from the people.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_02]: There's even interviews about one of the McDonald's that he stole from.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: And some of the employees there as well too.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, but like I said, I mean, this is one of those movies where this is what I wish theaters would do.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: I wish they wouldn't charge you when you get there.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: I wish they would let you pick your movie.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: And then afterwards, you could come up with, they give you three prices, right?
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: They give you the $5 price or whatever the, whatever the Matinee price is, and they give you like the Friday night price and then they give you like a budget price or something like that, right?
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: So give me $5, give me like, I don't know, nine dollars and then give me like 15 because I know some of these theaters charge 15.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: And then I feel like you should be able to pay what you thought that movie was.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: And in this case, this would be a $5 movie for me.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's not a bad idea.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of like that idea.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they do say after the first...
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's, there's a time limit within the first five or 10 minutes of a movie.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: You can go get your money back.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really?
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's a little bit like that.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: The tivoli of the first, I don't know what it is, five or 10 minutes.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: But within a certain amount of time, you can go up and say, you know what, this movie ain't working for me.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: Because we did that, the worst thing I did that one time.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: We were in the movie, we thought one thing was going to happen.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, right from the beginning, it was like, we're not going to like this movie.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: And we got up, we went out, we got our money back.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I wouldn't have done that with this one though because it was what we needed to do for the podcast, but if this was a movie that I chose to go see on my own, I probably would have walked one out and I didn't know you could do that.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know you could ask about that.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, here's the other thing I wanted to know, which is his friend in the military.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he was not in the bonus footage.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, because they never caught him.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: No, because he's still at large and he's still doing the shit that he was right exactly and I also want to know like is he you know is he real or was that part of it that was just made up I don't know what could have been made up well you know what like we were talking before we started recording although it says this is a true story since still but there's creative license and I'm sure there's a few things in here that aren't necessarily
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: like legit.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: Although I do think it's cool that the pastor from the church that he ended up going to actually went to there and I thought that was surprising and I thought it was really cool to see what ended up happening.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to give that away because that's at the very the movie.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I think that speaks volumes for the church.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, so that's my review of movement.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: I know you're not like some of you all agree with me And some of you hate me because of that or whatever, but I just I wanted to move you to make a point and it did and by the time it made a point I figured it out and it made the point that I thought it was gonna make and I was like, yeah, this was Okay, so I didn't I didn't see the ending the first ending coming
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it would be, it would go the other direction.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_01]: But that's going to maybe channel get in our seated broadcasts and then hear the podcast and then maybe put a comment in there and maybe we can be in the next movie.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go all magic mic on you and you'll enjoy that.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't enjoy that, you guys.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: So we we we come to the portion of the program where we talk about other movies that we recommend that's in this category.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: Now the category that I had thought that at least I based my post selections on is going to be from crime movies that have something to do with crime or largely based in a crime type thing.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: But you had a really good idea too.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: And what was that?
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you said something about true, something, true stories or something, true shadow whatever.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: True, true, true crime stories.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, true crime stories.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, true crime stories.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well, then we're kind of on the same page.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: I thought you saw some stories.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Based on a true story.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's what I said.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: So things that are based on a true story.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: So not necessarily crime.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: Just based on true events.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we'll take a little bit of a poetic license here, because that's the word I look at.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: True poetic license.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: I picked crime stories and since I'm already talking I'll go first so my runner up for the best crime movie of all time is a movie called traffic.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah good movie yes good movie from 2000 it's got Michael Douglas in it yeah kind of remember all of the actors that are in it Benicio Dol Toro's in it.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: Uh-huh
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: Jacob Vargas Andrew Chavez, Chavez, sorry, not based on a true story, you know, it's wife in it, right?
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: I thought
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: I thought his wife was in it, but maybe not.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, it was so impactful for me when I saw it, because like in 2000, I was still in my 20s.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_02]: But it's a movie about a conservative judge who was appointed by the president to spearhead America's escalating war against drugs.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, they discovered that his teenage daughter is a crack addict.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: right which I thought was a phenomenal twist this is this is what I'm talking about you don't get these twists in movies anymore like this and and to me this is why I say this is like one of the greatest crime stories of movies of all time because he finds out his daughter is a crack addict and now he's like oh what do I do um and of course
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: They got to get an informants involved.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: There's a jailed drug baronist who's also involved in it.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: And like they carry on the family business and just all kinds of, I think Dom Cheedles in this movie as well.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I believe so.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's like one of the first movies he's in.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just, it's an awesome movie.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's got a great cast.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: You can't go wrong with this movie.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: It does like kind of go all over the place.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: But I think it moves at a good pace and I don't think you're gonna lose focus that easily.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: So that's my runner-up.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's not bad, that's not a bad one.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of, I was just thinking of movies based on true stories.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'll do my runner-up, it'll be a crime story, but my number one will be based on a true story.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: That okay.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: Not a crime movie.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, I I miss in the mark with my pick.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: We're good.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll go with Ellie confidential.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: Do you like that?
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you have it as your first.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Get out of here.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: I love that movie.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: I've watched it six times.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: So here's the thing and I'm sorry I didn't interrupt you, but I love I don't think you are the 40s and 50s.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: So do I love this.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: I love the arrows.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: I love the look.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: I love the cars.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm a Nash freak.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like I love Nash cars.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're awesome.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're amazing.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like anything that's got that feel to it.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely love.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: And that's me with this is.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: And isn't this movie like loosely based on the, uh,
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: not that the lilylamourters but something else.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's loosely based on an actual crime.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: And it's got, you know, Kevin Spacey before all those should hit the fan.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have you have him and you have
- 29:14[SPEAKER_02]: Russell.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: Kim Basinger.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: Kim Basinger, yeah.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: You have the gladiator guy.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so Crow.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Russell Crow, Danny DeVito, isn't it?
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: So it's, but it's my runner-up.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's your first, it's my runner-up.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I think just, like, I think I grew up, I was born late.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: I love swing music, I love big band music.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: I love the way people used to wear a hat to go anywhere.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: I like all of the old black and white movies.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, my favorite actors tend to be actors from that era.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: My music, Dean Martin, being Crosby, all those guys.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: I really, I feel like I'm an older guy, an older guy in an old guy's body a lot of time.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I love period pieces.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_01]: I love period pieces, I love when they're done really well, like this.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: This was done really well.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: There's other ones that were done really well too, this is the one that I think is a crime movie was brilliant.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: And there were some twists in that movie too, like anything Kevin Spacey was going to shot at on, that was out of nowhere.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: The main guy.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: This is a 12-year-old 15-year-old.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: We have a scene of by now.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Tough.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: But we have a younger audience too.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: So that's true.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: So the young people out there, I didn't say that.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: The older people you already knew.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_02]: Black Dahlia, that was the murder.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like Dahlia.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it was.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Chinatown.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's loosely based on the water issues in LA back in the day with Jack Nicholson.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: Did you see Chinatown?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to joke here because I feel like there's a joke.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's what that movie was loosely based on water shortages in LA and people making money off of that kind of stuff.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's what Chinatown was loosely based on, which was another good movie, by the way.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're Mr. Nicholson.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well since you took my number one, I guess you're on a roll, so you keep going.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well, give you my number one movie based on a true story and again, you and I, we weren't too late.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: Prior to the Yankees.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, that's a good flick.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: One of the greatest movie lines in the top 10 movie lines.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: Today, day, day, day, day, day.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: I consider myself, self, self, self.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: The luckiest luckiest luckiest man, man, man, man.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: On, on, on, on earth, earth, earth, earth.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: One of the, and Gary Cooper, come on.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, how do you top Gary Cooper?
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's almost like the blazing saddles lines when Cleveland little did do it for Randolph Scott.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: And everyone goes, stands up with their hands at her heart and their music comes up.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's Gary Cooper.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: Almost every movie he's ever made has been brilliant, but this was so realistic and the writing was so true, right up to the speech.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and if you want something Americana, a true story based on the American dream and what sometimes consequences come out of it, this is it in my opinion, I don't think there's a better true based on a true story movie than that one.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like you said they don't make movies like that anymore, they just don't.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: No, and roof man's a good, uh, a good proof of that.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: I, like I said, I mean, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: And then, and then, and then, and then putting, like connecting to that, it's at the very end here and going, oh, that's why they put this is a true story, because it's so fantastical that you're just like, it is that somebody wrote this, and so that's why I said it's enjoyable, because it is so fantastical, and then to figure out, no, this really did happen, but,
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: you can kind of put the pieces together when you find out and you figure out like what this guy did in the military and like how he comes to all the things and like he was given a certain job but the problem is is that he didn't have the rest of the things he needed to carry out the task and that's kind of one of the things that him and his body to buddy talk about like early on in the movie and once that's that happened for me I was like oh shit we're gonna get this and we're gonna get this and we're gonna get that
- 33:50[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm like, and then this is going to happen, and she's going to turn him in.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I didn't get that.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's here to happen.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the tell.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_02]: When she walked into the store in the middle of the robbery, she looked right in his eyes.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know she had to eat him.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: I just didn't think she was going to give him up.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: She was a true Christian woman.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: How about how could she not?
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about two times.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: that's that's debatable.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: In this movie they set up Kristen Kirsten Dances character to be like the real like you know what I think I think he was more I mean she was jet concerned about
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: how would it would affect her two daughters?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, for sure.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think that was the issue with her.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: Any mom would be like, yeah, absolutely.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that was her, I think that was her reasoning for doing what she did.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think she started putting pieces together earlier on and started realizing that he wasn't all he said he was going to be.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: And there were bits and pieces as the movie started to break down and you started to get to what was going to happen.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: there were bits and pieces in it where I could be like sure put in the pieces together already and this leads into why she did what she did and they did have sex and maybe he wasn't such a magic mic after all but if he wasn't such a magic mic why was he still around
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: That happens a lot in real life.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yikes.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: In real life, that does happen a lot.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: Magic mics are not necessarily magic mics.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's true.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: They're magic shorties.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes they're minor mics.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: My, my, my, my, my, my, my.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: I speak it of that.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to do it for us with major mics.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be back next week with another episode We will talk about Guillermo, their Toro's Frankenstein.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and we should probably since that's kind of like a horror movie We should probably talk about our favorite horror movies of all time.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, horror horror Okay, I get the other O'er and there I said horror.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: Wow We're going there already.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying talk about those kind of movies here.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's not what we do Because there are those kind of movies, too.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure they're right
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be sure we're saying horror, horror movie next week, not ladies of the night down boy.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that could be a, that could be a, that could be an other way out of the category.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: Jack the Ripper movie.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: Jack the Ripper.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: So next week, give him what the Toro's Frankenstein.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well, before we view of that for you as well as talking about a couple of our favorite horror movies.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: They're happy.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: Scary movies.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: And that'll be on the next episode.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: And until then, we'll see you and
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: some cheesy popcorn.
