- 0:12Speaker 5: Your child will have different needs at different stages of life,
- 0:15Speaker 5: and that includes the car seat. That's right, the car seat.
- 0:18Speaker 5: A car seat isn't one size fits all. You have
- 0:21Speaker 5: to have the right seat based on your child's age, weight,
- 0:23Speaker 5: and height. See, car crashes are a leading killer of
- 0:26Speaker 5: children ages 1 to 13. But there's a website that
- 0:29Speaker 5: gives you all the information you need, safercar.gov slash the
- 0:33Speaker 5: right seat. You'll find out about types of seats, when
- 0:36Speaker 5: to have a seat rear-facing, when to switch it to forward-facing,
- 0:39Speaker 5: when it's time for a booster seat, and when it's
- 0:42Speaker 5: time for your child to ride in the back seat
- 0:43Speaker 5: with a seat belt. Protect your child's future at every
- 0:47Speaker 5: stage of life. Go to safercar.gov slash the right seat.
- 0:51Speaker 5: That's safercar.gov slash the right seat.

- 1:31Speaker 6: I'll remember to follow at a safe distance. When you
- 1:34Speaker 6: need to merge in front of a truck, please leave
- 1:36Speaker 6: plenty of space. Let's all plan to share the road safely.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Visit www.sharetheroadsafely.gov. It's Ron Furb, and I've got opinions you'll
- 1:46Speaker 6: want to hear. After Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Craig Yoho coming on to pitch. He's worked a scoreless
- 1:59Speaker 1: ending so far in this series. Coming from the Milwaukee Brewers,
- 2:04Speaker 1: along with Blake Perkins and the Bo Naylor trade. Along
- 2:10Speaker 1: with Cody Hoyer. Marcus Semien, the batter, waves at the
- 2:13Speaker 1: first pitch. Strike one. Yoho, fastball, sinker, cutter, and a
- 2:18Speaker 1: ton of changes. Seventh inning, 6-5 Mets. The next pitch,
- 2:25Speaker 1: waved at, another good changeup.
- 2:26Speaker 7: 0-2.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yoho has worked two scoreless innings for Cleveland. 315 ERA
- 2:35Speaker 1: in 15 games with the Brewers. Pitches up a bit.
- 2:39Speaker 1: One and two. He works in a hurry. Simeon, solo homer,
- 2:44Speaker 1: sack fly and a double. Two for two, two RBIs.
- 2:48Speaker 1: The pitch. And it's a changeup down and in. Two balls,
- 2:55Speaker 1: two strikes. Colin Holderman worked a scoreless inning. Third relief
- 3:01Speaker 1: pitcher used. Now the 2-2. Swung on. Line drive. Base
- 3:06Speaker 1: hit in the left. Another changeup. Stayed up and Simeon
- 3:09Speaker 1: needs a triple to hit for the cycle. That'll bring
- 3:13Speaker 1: up Jared Young. RBI single. Pinch hitting. Last inning. Now
- 3:34Speaker 1: the set. Now the pitch. And a changeup in there
- 3:37Speaker 1: for a strike. The pitch. Tapped foul to the right.
- 3:52Speaker 8: 0-2.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Outfield. Outfield. Toward the right field and fairly deep for
- 4:05Speaker 1: Jared Young. Batting. 254, seven homers, 21 RBIs. Left-handed hitter.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yoho is ready. Here it comes. And Young breaks his bat,
- 4:24Speaker 1: pops it up. The second baseman, Hanau, in on the grass.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Let it drop. Then lobs it. to second to get
- 4:32Speaker 1: the force on Simeon so Young will be the runner
- 4:38Speaker 1: at first and Simeon is forced out at second with
- 4:43Speaker 1: Hanau not catching the pop up on the grass there
- 4:52Speaker 1: was no way you were going to get two and
- 4:56Speaker 1: Hanau knowing you would think that Young is slower than
- 5:01Speaker 1: Simeon Elected to do that. You don't normally see that
- 5:05Speaker 1: from a young man in his second major league game.
- 5:09Speaker 9: Interesting.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So the force of Simeon at second. Young on, fielder's choice,
- 5:15Speaker 1: one down. And the catcher, Luis Terenz at the plate,
- 5:20Speaker 1: takes low. Terenz came into the series with two home runs.
- 5:25Speaker 1: And he's hit a three-run homer the other night and
- 5:28Speaker 1: a two-run homer today. Righty-righty matchup. Runner goes. Pitch is
- 5:35Speaker 1: taking a strike. Throw to second. No one's there. Hanao
- 5:40Speaker 1: caught the ball, but he was 10 feet behind the
- 5:43Speaker 1: bag at second. And Young has the stolen base. Patrick
- 5:50Speaker 1: Bailey threw to second, and by the time Hanao got there,
- 5:54Speaker 1: he was still well behind the head first sliding Young.
- 6:02Speaker 1: The pitch. Way outside. Backhanded grab by Bailey. So the
- 6:08Speaker 1: Mets up 6-5. They've got a runner in scoring position.
- 6:12Speaker 1: One down here in the 7th. Terrence with a 2-1 count.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Outfield playing him like a left-handed pull hitter. The pitch.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Way outside again. 3-1. Guardians and PNC Bank. Going to
- 6:27Speaker 1: bat for small business. PNC Bank honoring six local businesses
- 6:31Speaker 1: that make a difference. The pitch. Swung on. Hit high.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Deep to right. Toward the corner. DeLauder has it go
- 6:40Speaker 1: off the wall. It's a fair ball. He'll throw it
- 6:43Speaker 1: into second. Young thought that ball might be caught. He
- 6:47Speaker 1: just got to third. And boy did Terrence hit that
- 6:52Speaker 1: a long way. Down the right field line it kept
- 6:56Speaker 1: slicing off the wall in the corner. May have even
- 7:02Speaker 1: hit off the yellow line that indicates fair or foul.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And it goes as a long single and Mets at
- 7:12Speaker 1: the corner. It's A.J. Ewing the batter. Infield in. Mets
- 7:18Speaker 1: up a run. First and third occupied. One down. Ewing
- 7:22Speaker 1: pinched it. Grounded out is the only time up. Now
- 7:27Speaker 1: let's see if the Mets believe in a safety squeeze
- 7:30Speaker 1: like Cleveland does time and again. The pitch to the
- 7:35Speaker 1: rookie Ewing. He bunts right at the plate. Field it.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Fair ball. Fake throw to second by Bailey. Throws to first.
- 7:45Speaker 1: And he gets Ewing. And runners now at second and third.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Third base coach arguing that was a foul ball, but
- 7:53Speaker 1: the ball was bunted right out in front of the plate.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Andy Green's out arguing with John Bacon, the home plate umpire.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And Bailey fielded that with his bare hand as it
- 8:06Speaker 1: bounced up to him out in front of home plate
- 8:09Speaker 1: on the safety squeeze by Ewing. He just didn't bunt
- 8:13Speaker 1: it far enough. Nets are going to lose this argument.
- 8:17Speaker 1: And Ewing is out at first. Mets at second and
- 8:21Speaker 1: third now, but they're attuning out. The Mets are saying
- 8:30Speaker 1: that ball hit in front of the plate and then
- 8:33Speaker 1: bounced back over the plate, behind the plate, but John
- 8:38Speaker 1: Bing and the home plate umpire said no. Home plate
- 8:43Speaker 1: is fair territory, and Bailey got it while it was
- 8:46Speaker 1: above the plate. Top of the order, Francisco Lindor looks
- 8:50Speaker 1: at a strike. So that was bizarre. Lindor with runners
- 8:57Speaker 1: at second and third, two down. Six to five Mets
- 9:01Speaker 1: in the seventh. The pitch and a check swing foul
- 9:05Speaker 1: and he's down in the count of two. Lindor, one
- 9:09Speaker 1: for four today in the series. One for 14 with
- 9:15Speaker 1: eight strikeouts. Lindor switch hitter, batting left-handed. Terrence at second,
- 9:25Speaker 1: Young at third. Two down in the match, seventh, and
- 9:29Speaker 1: the sun is back out. Huge spot for Yoho to
- 9:37Speaker 1: see if he can get out of it. He delivers.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Lindor with a high drive, deep right field, and is
- 9:43Speaker 1: way out of here. On an 0-2 pitch, Francisco Lindor
- 9:48Speaker 1: with a towering three-run homer to right. And the Mets
- 9:54Speaker 1: open it up and now lead it 9-5. Lindor's tenth.
- 10:00Speaker 1: home run giving him 28 RBIs a frustrating series for
- 10:05Speaker 1: Lindor until that at bat and Yoho has given up
- 10:11Speaker 1: runs for the first time in a Cleveland uniform and
- 10:17Speaker 1: the Mets Came in near one of the worst offenses
- 10:21Speaker 1: in baseball, and they have scored 21 runs off Cleveland's
- 10:27Speaker 1: pitching in three games. Here's Bo Bichette, and he fouled
- 10:31Speaker 1: it upstairs, strike one. Lindor on an 0-2 pitch, got
- 10:36Speaker 1: a hanging changeup. Looked like he might have even been
- 10:40Speaker 1: out on his front foot, but he still hit a
- 10:43Speaker 1: towering three-run home run to right. And the Mets up 9-5.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Bichette with a foul ball out of play to the right.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And it's quickly 0-2. And the Mets have hit three
- 10:58Speaker 1: home runs in all three games. The pitch. Bichette takes up.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It's 1-2. Now the one-two delivery. Swing and a miss.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yoho gets Bichette. But Lindor got Yoho. It's stretch time
- 11:26Speaker 1: at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario. It's New York 9,
- 11:30Speaker 1: Cleveland 5 on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 11:34Speaker 2: This is the call of the Australian rubber bird.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Snap!
- 11:38Speaker 10: Snap!
- 11:40Speaker 2: This is the call of the Alaskan chili bird. And
- 11:47Speaker 2: this is the call of the marathon mascot bald eagle, Max.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Hi, it's Max.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Hello.
- 11:52Speaker 9: Did you know you can save up to a dollar
- 11:54Speaker 9: a gallon with the Marathon Rewards app?
- 11:56Speaker 3: No. Thanks for the call.

- 12:02Speaker 2: Terms and conditions apply. See MarathonRewards.com for details.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Swung on line toward the gap and left center, Kwon
- 12:07Speaker 1: dives and made the catch! What a play by Kwon!
- 12:13Speaker 1: Stephen Kwon just keeps on delivering.
- 12:16Speaker 9: This is Stephen Kwon.
- 12:17Speaker 2: You're listening to the Cleveland Clinic Guardians Radio Network.
- 12:21Speaker 9: Need new tires? Here's a tip.
- 12:23Speaker 10: Skip the good old kick for quality entirely. Get to
- 12:26Speaker 10: your Northeast Ohio Ford dealer. The smart choice for tires

- 12:35Speaker 10: tire brands.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Expertly installed by certified pros.
- 12:39Speaker 9: And the kicker?
- 12:40Speaker 2: Your Ford dealer often has deals that beat dedicated tire shops.
- 12:44Speaker 2: So when it's time for new tires, roll with your
- 12:47Speaker 2: Northeast Ohio Ford dealer.
- 12:51Speaker 11: Okay, you say, I want some breakfast. Your so-called boyfriend says,
- 12:56Speaker 11: we got eggs in the fridge. Obviously, when you say breakfast,
- 13:00Speaker 11: you mean McDonald's. Definitely a side-eye situation.
- 13:05Speaker 9: It's back, and it's delicious.
- 13:08Speaker 12: For a limited time, get a sausage McMuffin with egg,
- 13:10Speaker 12: hash browns, and a small hot coffee for just $ 5.
- 13:13Speaker 12: Only at McDonald's. Price and participation may vary. Cannot be
- 13:16Speaker 12: combined with any other offer or combo meal.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Ba-da-ba-ba-ba.
- 13:20Speaker 9: Hey, it's Ron Furb.
- 13:22Speaker 13: I'm not holding back, ever, after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Right hander, Kodai Senga. On to pitch for the Mets,
- 13:34Speaker 1: who now lead it 9-5. We're in the bottom of
- 13:37Speaker 1: the seventh. Senga pitched on Tuesday night. Worked a scoreless inning.
- 13:43Speaker 1: He had been in the rotation. Not anymore. 0-8 with
- 13:48Speaker 1: an 8-47 ERA this year. And he walks almost a
- 13:52Speaker 1: batter in any. Jose Ramirez batting left-handed. Hits the first
- 13:57Speaker 1: pitch on the ground to second. Marcus Simeon throws him out.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Ramirez today with a walk, a single, one for three now.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Here's Nathaniel Lowe. He got the club back in the
- 14:08Speaker 1: game with a 413-foot line drive home run to right.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Back in the fifth inning. I mean, that ball never
- 14:19Speaker 1: got much off the ground. It didn't have to. A
- 14:23Speaker 1: laser deep into the seats and right. His first with Cleveland,
- 14:27Speaker 1: 13th on the year. And he takes a strike on
- 14:31Speaker 1: the outer edge. That made it 6-5 in the fifth.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Now it's 9-5 Mets. Sengup out of Japan, like all
- 14:41Speaker 1: of them, throws so many pitches. There's a pitch low.
- 14:45Speaker 1: These Japanese pitchers just have an absolute toolbox of pitches.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Now the 1-1 delivery to Lowe. And it's Lowe. Lowe,
- 15:01Speaker 1: it's called a strike, kind of a late call. Boy,
- 15:04Speaker 1: Nathaniel Lowe now has come here to Cleveland and in
- 15:07Speaker 1: this series has four hits, four RBIs. So he has
- 15:12Speaker 1: certainly made his presence felt. Now the 1-2 delivery and
- 15:18Speaker 1: Lowe takes high and wide 2-2. That's 98 miles an hour.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Senga is getting a lot more velocity when he's working
- 15:34Speaker 1: and ending out of the bullpen than when he started.
- 15:37Speaker 1: The 2-2 to Lowe. Smung on popped up into the
- 15:42Speaker 1: seats behind the plate and the count stays 2-2. Made
- 15:47Speaker 1: in America means something to Toyota. They've invested $ 49 billion,
- 15:53Speaker 1: built 32 million vehicles here in the U.S. Toyota, let's
- 15:58Speaker 1: go places. The 2-2. And Lowe takes outside. That might
- 16:09Speaker 1: have been his forkball. Kind of acts like a change-up
- 16:13Speaker 1: moving down and away. To the left handed hitter. Full
- 16:18Speaker 1: count now. The payoff. Swung and pulled foul. First base side.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Will do it again. At three and two. The payoff.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Fouled off left side. He's throwing a couple of fork
- 16:59Speaker 1: balls at him. And then he comes with a 97-mile-an-hour fastball.
- 17:06Speaker 1: And Lowe doing a good job. He awaits pitch number
- 17:11Speaker 1: seven of the at-bat. Here it comes. Swing and a miss.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Got the high fastball by him. He tried to hold
- 17:23Speaker 1: up but couldn't. Ten strikeouts for Mets pitching today. Two
- 17:27Speaker 1: down here. Angel Martinez had a two-run single in the first.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Cleveland led this game 2-0. On the bases loaded. Two-run
- 17:36Speaker 1: single in the first by Angel Martinez. But the Mets
- 17:40Speaker 1: get to Foster Griffin for five runs in the four
- 17:45Speaker 1: innings he worked to turn that around. The pitch. And
- 17:49Speaker 1: it's in there. Marcus Semien, solo homer to left center
- 17:53Speaker 1: in the second. Later in the inning, Luis Terenz, two-run
- 17:57Speaker 1: homer to right. Carson Bench, RBI triple in the third,
- 18:01Speaker 1: plus a sack fly made it 5-2. Check swing by Martinez.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Went around on a fork ball in the dirt.
- 18:08Speaker 7: 0-2.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Mets made it 6-2 in the fifth. On an RBI
- 18:22Speaker 1: single by pinch hitter Jared Young. Nathaniel Lowe then hit
- 18:26Speaker 1: his three-run rip job to right in the fifth to
- 18:29Speaker 1: make it six to five Mets. And then Francisco Lindor
- 18:34Speaker 1: on a two-out, two-strike changeup. Plowed a three-run home run
- 18:40Speaker 1: into the seats and right here in the seventh. And
- 18:43Speaker 1: the Mets up nine to five. Two outs, nobody on.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Martinez with an 0-2 count. Sangup with the delivery. Swing
- 18:58Speaker 1: and a miss. So we'll go to the eighth, nine
- 19:01Speaker 1: to five minutes.
- 19:05Speaker 2: It's great to catch up, Jamie.
- 19:08Speaker 9: How's business?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Good.
- 19:09Speaker 14: Are you up to speed with the new beneficial ownership
- 19:12Speaker 14: reporting requirements?
- 19:14Speaker 6: Sort of. What's it about?
- 19:16Speaker 14: It's a new initiative to help fight crimes like money laundering, fraud,
- 19:19Speaker 14: and drug trafficking. A lot of small businesses like ours
- 19:23Speaker 14: are just have to report some basic info to the
- 19:26Speaker 14: federal government about the real people behind them.
- 19:29Speaker 9: Does that include my cafe?
- 19:30Speaker 14: There are some exemptions for certain companies, but don't worry.
- 19:34Speaker 14: There's lots of guidance on the government's website about who
- 19:37Speaker 14: needs to file. Check out FinCEN.gov slash BOI.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Filing is easy and free.
- 19:44Speaker 3: It took me less.
- 19:45Speaker 9: Than 20 minutes. Looks like I do have to file.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Thanks, Jamie.
- 19:50Speaker 9: It's great having a supportive business community.
- 19:52Speaker 14: Reporting beneficial ownership information helps protect U.S.
- 19:55Speaker 1: National security.
- 19:56Speaker 8: Filing is quick, secure, and free.
- 19:58Speaker 11: And it's the law.
- 19:59Speaker 8: Learn more at FinCEN.gov slash BOI.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Retirement can be scary, but only if you're not prepared.
- 20:06Speaker 4: That's why AARP created ThisIsPretirement.org. Because unless you've already retired,
- 20:13Speaker 4: you're in pretirement. and you still have time to plan.

- 20:28Speaker 4: the retirement fear disappear. Brought to you by AARP and

- 20:33Speaker 6: Everyone can help keep our roads safe. When I'm driving
- 20:36Speaker 6: my truck, I'll remember to check my mirrors for smaller vehicles.
- 20:39Speaker 6: And when you're on the road, try to avoid lingering
- 20:41Speaker 6: in my blind spots. Let's all plan to share the
- 20:44Speaker 6: road safely. Visit www.sharetheroadsafely.gov.
- 20:49Speaker 13: Hey, it's Ron Furb. Big stories, big opinions, after Cardians
- 20:52Speaker 13: baseball on 570 WKBN. Slade Ciccone coming on.
- 21:02Speaker 1: He worked in the ballgame out of the bullpen for
- 21:04Speaker 1: the first time in a Cleveland uniform. Tuesday night gave
- 21:08Speaker 1: up a run in two and two-thirds. Fastball sinker, cutter, curve, slider.
- 21:16Speaker 1: He'll take over now. Cleveland down four in the eighth.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Luis Robert cuts and misses. Craig Yoho, one inning, gave
- 21:26Speaker 1: up three runs on three hits. Francisco Lindor, the big
- 21:30Speaker 1: three-run homer. 9-5 Mets. They've on-hit Cleveland today. 14-8. The pitch.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Swing and a miss. Good slider. And the count 0-2.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Marathon knows you fans are the true co-pilot of any team.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Marathon's here to keep you and your team fueled all
- 21:52Speaker 1: summer long. Marathon driven together. Mets looking for the sweep.
- 22:00Speaker 1: The 0-2. Checked on a pitch wide. One ball, two strikes.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Cleveland has not been two games under. 500 all year,
- 22:12Speaker 1: but they'll need a big-time rally to avoid that here today.
- 22:18Speaker 1: That pitch down. And the count. Two and two. The
- 22:30Speaker 1: next offering. Swung on, chopped toward third. Fair ball right
- 22:36Speaker 1: over the bag. Slipping after he backhanded it was Ramirez,
- 22:41Speaker 1: and he never got a throw off. It wouldn't have mattered.
- 22:43Speaker 1: He wasn't going to get him. Mosey playing deep. Had
- 22:47Speaker 1: to go to the line to field it. And then
- 22:50Speaker 1: his feet started to slide under him. Infield hit for Robert.
- 22:54Speaker 1: He's had a three-hit game. Carson bends the batter. Two
- 22:59Speaker 1: for four. RBI triple and a single. All three games,
- 23:06Speaker 1: the Mets have had three home runs in each game.
- 23:10Speaker 1: That pitch is in their strike at 95. The next
- 23:24Speaker 1: offering goes to first, and back with a dive is Roberts.
- 23:41Speaker 1: The pitch. And it's ripped foul third base side sweet level.
- 23:46Speaker 7: 0-2.
- 23:48Speaker 1: The two-strike pitch. Checked outside. 1-2. Angels a 4-1 win
- 24:09Speaker 1: in Baltimore today. And the Reds knock off the A's 6-5.
- 24:21Speaker 1: The 1-2. Again, fouled back and out of play. We'll
- 24:27Speaker 1: do it again at 1-2. Brewers lead the Pirates 3-2
- 24:31Speaker 1: in the fifth. Blue Jays lead the Cubs 1-0 in
- 24:34Speaker 1: the fourth. Mets, nine runs, 15 hits. Guardians, five runs,
- 24:43Speaker 1: eight hits. We're in the eighth. The next delivery is
- 24:47Speaker 1: again fouled upstairs. What an event by a really good-looking rookie.
- 24:53Speaker 1: This is one of the best rookies we've seen against
- 24:57Speaker 1: Cleveland this year, Carson Bench. He can do it all.
- 25:01Speaker 1: He's literally a five-tool player. Now the one-two. A swing
- 25:11Speaker 1: and a liner to left. He gets a base hit
- 25:13Speaker 1: the other way. Three-hit game for Carson Bench. Eloise Robert
- 25:19Speaker 1: stops at second. Here's Francisco Alvarez. 0 for 2 with
- 25:25Speaker 1: a couple of walks. Right-hander against right-hander. See if Alvarez
- 25:31Speaker 1: is swinging away. The Mets play some small ball to
- 25:34Speaker 1: try to tack on to the 9-5 advantage here in
- 25:37Speaker 1: the eighth. Cleveland playing back. And a swing and a
- 25:48Speaker 1: miss by Alvarez. Never know when you've got an interim
- 25:52Speaker 1: manager like Andy Green coming out of the front office.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Sometimes you'll see some different strategy. The 0-1. In their strike.
- 26:06Speaker 1: It's not like the Mets bullpen is a lockdown bullpen.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Remember they traded six pieces away from that Mets bullpen.
- 26:13Speaker 1: And they were some really good pieces. Now the 0-2
- 26:20Speaker 1: and again Alvarez just before it's going to be made
- 26:23Speaker 1: steps out. Now the two strike pitch. Up high off
- 26:38Speaker 1: the glove of Bailey to the backstop. Runners advance. We'll
- 26:42Speaker 1: see how that's scored. Second and third now with nobody out.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Cleveland keeps the infield back. Down four here in the eighth.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Here's the one-two. Filed it back at Alvarez. Still a
- 27:16Speaker 1: 1-2 count. Finally getting an official call. It's a wild pitch.
- 27:31Speaker 1: The pitch. Alvarez with a drive towards deep left. And
- 27:35Speaker 1: this ball is off the wall. On his way to second,
- 27:40Speaker 1: Alvarez in standing with an RBI double. Roberts scored. Benz
- 27:45Speaker 1: kind of got deked out by Martinez who acted like
- 27:48Speaker 1: he would catch it and at the last moment turned
- 27:51Speaker 1: and played the carom. And instead of both runners who
- 27:56Speaker 1: should have scored on a double, only an RBI for Alvarez.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Runners stay at second and third. Still nobody out. Mets
- 28:06Speaker 1: now lead at 10-5. The pitch, a swing and a
- 28:13Speaker 1: foul back. Boy, Marcus Simeon had a good cut there. Again,
- 28:27Speaker 1: infield back, 10-5 Mets, the pitch, and it's in there, 0-2.
- 28:45Speaker 1: The 0-2 delivery. Fouled it back. Boy, you would have
- 28:50Speaker 1: thought after the deadline on Monday, Cleveland getting such a,
- 28:56Speaker 1: not only shot of energy, but four quality pieces added
- 29:03Speaker 1: to this club. The Mets gutted their club, traded away
- 29:08Speaker 1: a third of it, the pitch, up and in. One
- 29:12Speaker 1: and two, you thought maybe the Mets might come in
- 29:14Speaker 1: here and Just kind of go through the motions. But
- 29:19Speaker 1: they have really been aggressive. They have played well. They've
- 29:23Speaker 1: really hit well. They're on the verge of a sweep.
- 29:27Speaker 1: The pitch downstairs. Ball two. Two and two. And when
- 29:32Speaker 1: the all-star break ended, Cleveland had the easiest schedule left
- 29:36Speaker 1: in baseball. When you talked about the playoff contention. but
- 29:40Speaker 1: it's not turned out that way. Cleveland about to be
- 29:43Speaker 1: 6-13 since the break. Ciccone misses high, full count. Tim
- 29:51Speaker 1: Heron up in the Cleveland pen. Now Ciccone now is
- 29:56Speaker 1: getting used to a new routine. He's Been a long
- 29:59Speaker 1: time since he pitched like this. Bullpen, Tuesday night, right back,
- 30:05Speaker 1: day and a half later. The payoff pitch. Swung on,
- 30:10Speaker 1: fouled into the seats behind the plate. And he's just
- 30:14Speaker 1: having a tough time putting away hitters with two strikes.
- 30:17Speaker 1: And he's already at 23 pitches to the four batters
- 30:21Speaker 1: he's faced. Mets lead at 10-5. They have runners at
- 30:26Speaker 1: second and third, nobody out in the eighth. And a
- 30:29Speaker 1: 3-2 count on Simeon. The payoff. Swung on, lifted in
- 30:36Speaker 1: the air. Foul, third base seating area. And we'll do
- 30:42Speaker 1: it again at 3-2. And boy, these Mets are not
- 30:44Speaker 1: giving away at bats either. They are grinding out at bats.
- 30:48Speaker 1: This will be pitch number nine to Marcus Simeon. Here
- 30:55Speaker 1: it comes. Up and in. He walked him. Bases are
- 31:02Speaker 1: loaded for Jared Young. And that may be all for
- 31:05Speaker 1: Slade Ciccone. As they're loaded up here with nobody down.
- 31:10Speaker 1: And a left-hander Jared Young due up.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Nope.
- 31:14Speaker 1: It's pitching coach Carl Willis heading to the mound. So
- 31:17Speaker 1: Ciccone is going to stay out there a little bit longer.
- 31:25Speaker 15: With Slade Ciccone so much of this move to the bullpen.
- 31:29Speaker 15: Is how he handles it mentally. And he was talking
- 31:32Speaker 15: to him after his first appearance. He was excited about
- 31:35Speaker 15: the possibilities. Obviously doing what he can to help the
- 31:39Speaker 15: ball club. But he felt his stuff had ticked up
- 31:41Speaker 15: a little bit.
- 31:42Speaker 9: You're right.
- 31:43Speaker 15: That different routine certainly can be a challenge for him.
- 31:46Speaker 15: And he has seen the challenges here today. So it's
- 31:58Speaker 15: a brief meeting.
- 32:03Speaker 1: 10-5. The Mets have the lead. They have the bases loaded.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Nobody out in the eighth. Jared Young, the batter, came
- 32:12Speaker 1: off the bench. He's one for two with an RBI single.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Infield double play depth. The pitch way outside. Ball one.
- 32:31Speaker 1: The 1-0. Corner strike, one and one. That's why this
- 32:38Speaker 1: game is so impossible to predict. Foster Griffin struck out
- 32:43Speaker 1: the side in the first inning here today in his
- 32:46Speaker 1: Cleveland debut. And Cleveland had a two-nothing lead after one.
- 32:50Speaker 1: It's been about the highlight of today's game. The pitch,
- 32:56Speaker 1: up and away ball, two, two and one. The 2-1 delivery.
- 33:11Speaker 1: High 3-1. Ciccone looks very frustrated right now. This is
- 33:24Speaker 1: pitch number 30 and this has got to be his
- 33:26Speaker 1: last hit. Here it comes. Ball four high and wide.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Young walks and the base is loaded. 11-5 Mets. We'll
- 33:37Speaker 1: have a pitching change and we'll be back.
- 33:40Speaker 9: Is your roof protecting your home or putting it at risk?

- 35:07Speaker 2: when it's time for new tires, roll with your Northeast

- 35:12Speaker 13: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and I'll be bringing the heat
- 35:14Speaker 13: every afternoon at 3 on 570 WKBN. 26,764 disappointed on
- 35:30Speaker 13: this warm, muggy day on the lakefront. Cleveland's 2-0 lead
- 35:37Speaker 13: is now an 11-5 deficit, and the Mets still have
- 35:41Speaker 13: the bases loaded, nobody out in the eighth.
- 35:44Speaker 1: The left-hander Tim Heron to face Luis Torres, who's had
- 35:49Speaker 1: an incredible series, a two-run homer today, a three-run homer
- 35:53Speaker 1: the other night. The pitch, Terrence takes it to the
- 35:57Speaker 1: ball outside. Heron's 46th outing, ERA 375. The pitch, way
- 36:10Speaker 1: high and outside, 2-0. Alvarez at third, Semien at second,
- 36:18Speaker 1: Young at first. Aaron fastball, sinker, curve, slider. He fires.
- 36:27Speaker 1: High and wide. 3-0. The pitch. Ball four. High and wide.
- 36:45Speaker 1: None of them close. Another bases loaded walk. Third run in.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Alvarez scores. Give Terrence his third RBI today, seven in
- 36:56Speaker 1: the series. Mets up 12-5. The Mets now, in today's game,
- 37:06Speaker 1: have 17 hits and six walks, 23 base runners. In
- 37:15Speaker 1: eight innings. And it's not over yet. Here's A.J. Ewing.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Left on left. 0 for 2. Cuts and misses. Strike one.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Aaron sets and fires. Strike on the outer edge. 0
- 37:37Speaker 1: and 2. The next pitch outside, 1-2. Maybe a first
- 37:53Speaker 1: time Cleveland's ever had two Indiana Hoosiers on the same
- 37:59Speaker 1: pitching staff. Tim Herron and Craig Yoho. The 1-2. Outside
- 38:06Speaker 1: and low, 2-2. And they'll probably both get sweets on
- 38:15Speaker 1: the road. because of Jared Jones' affinity for the Hoosiers
- 38:20Speaker 1: growing up just south of Bloomington. Now the 2-2. Check, swing, foul,
- 38:26Speaker 1: and down goes Ewing. That ball was up and in,
- 38:31Speaker 1: and he checked his swing and lucky to get a
- 38:34Speaker 1: bat on it. Of course, J.J. and his pops went
- 38:38Speaker 1: to the Indiana football playoff games, including the national championship games, so...
- 38:48Speaker 1: One way to get on J.J. 's good side is
- 38:50Speaker 1: wear candy striped pants to the ballpark and sing the
- 38:53Speaker 1: Hoosier fight song. Now the 2-2. Got him swinging. Heron
- 39:00Speaker 1: strikes out Ewing for the first down in the inning.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Bases stay loaded. One down eighth inning. 12-5 Mets. And
- 39:10Speaker 1: here's Francisco Lindor who may have pretty much ended the
- 39:14Speaker 1: game last inning. He had a two-out, two-strike, three-run homer
- 39:18Speaker 1: to right. He'll turn around and bat right-handed. He is
- 39:23Speaker 1: 2-4-5 today. And he takes way outside a ball. Down
- 39:42Speaker 1: the 1-0 pitch. A little bit high. Ball 2, 2-0.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Heron's ready. Here it comes. Way, way outside. Good snag
- 40:12Speaker 1: by Bailey.
- 40:13Speaker 17: 3-0.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Well, the south side of Chicago. Old Comiskey Park ought
- 40:25Speaker 1: to be jumping this weekend. The 3-0 pitch. In there,
- 40:30Speaker 1: a strike. White Sox ballpark. It may even keep its
- 40:36Speaker 1: name for a couple of years, the way the White
- 40:38Speaker 1: Sox are playing. They would like to get a new ballpark.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Now the 3-1. And Lindor pops one up behind the plate.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Out of play. Full count. The White Sox are stuck
- 40:56Speaker 1: with a ballpark that was pretty much a cookie cutter.
- 41:02Speaker 1: And it opened the... year before Camden Yards and once
- 41:07Speaker 1: Camden Yards opened and then Jacobs Field opened the White
- 41:11Speaker 1: Sox were like you're kidding me now the payoff pitch
- 41:16Speaker 1: swing and a miss Lindor strikes out for the second
- 41:20Speaker 1: out in the inning and the White Sox of course
- 41:24Speaker 1: having just an incredible season after back to back 100
- 41:29Speaker 1: loss seasons two years ago a record 121 losses White
- 41:35Speaker 1: Sox starting today, three games ahead of Cleveland. They got
- 41:39Speaker 1: better with deadline deals. Should be a great atmosphere this weekend.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Here's Bo Bichette. He takes a strike on a fastball.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Two down, bases loaded, three runs in. Mets up 12-5
- 41:53Speaker 1: here in the eighth. Now the 0-1. Fouled off to
- 42:02Speaker 1: the right side, hit the netting above the Mets' dugout,
- 42:06Speaker 1: then dropped into that dugout. Bichette starting to get it going.
- 42:11Speaker 1: He's had a good series. Now the 0-2. Way outside.
- 42:26Speaker 1: One ball, two strikes. 12 runs, 17 hits for the Mets. Cleveland,
- 42:35Speaker 1: five runs, eight hits. Bases loaded, two down in the eighth.
- 42:40Speaker 1: The one-two. Swing and a foul at the plate. Bichette,
- 42:44Speaker 1: the ninth man to bat this inning for New York.
- 42:49Speaker 1: So you've got Lindor and Bichette. They've each had six
- 42:53Speaker 1: plate appearances today. Now the 1-2. Inside, it kicks away
- 43:06Speaker 1: from Patrick Bailey, but he recovers it right behind him.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Nobody can advance. Good stop by Bailey to get a
- 43:13Speaker 1: glove on that. Prevent another run from scoring on a
- 43:17Speaker 1: wild pitch. Heron fires. Swing and a foul back. Boy,
- 43:36Speaker 1: these Mets are not giving away a pass. The Shets
- 43:41Speaker 1: going to see at least seven pitches. Here it comes.
- 43:58Speaker 1: And he taps one toward third. Fair ball. Fielded by Ramirez.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Long throw across the body. Not in time. RBI infield hit.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Ramirez deep at third. Did all he could. Going toward
- 44:10Speaker 1: the line to field it. But the Mets get their
- 44:12Speaker 1: fourth run in the inning. And the onslaught continues. 13-5
- 44:19Speaker 1: New York. They still have bases loaded. As Simeon scored,
- 44:26Speaker 1: Young to third, Terrence to second. Bichette with his 56th RBI.
- 44:33Speaker 1: And manager Stephen Vogt is going to go to catcher
- 44:38Speaker 1: Austin Hedges. So Hedges will come out of the dugout.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Face the 10th man to bat this inning. Brewers now
- 45:03Speaker 1: lead the Pirates 5-2 in the sixth. Blue Jays up
- 45:06Speaker 1: on the Cubs 1-0 fifth inning in Wrigley. Reds swept
- 45:12Speaker 1: the Athletics 6-5. Angels dump Baltimore 4-1. And here, Cleveland.
- 45:20Speaker 4: Had a 2-0 lead.
- 45:21Speaker 1: They eventually... Fell behind 6-2, made it 6-5, but now
- 45:33Speaker 1: 13-5 Mets as New York scored three in the seventh,
- 45:38Speaker 1: four and counting here in the eighth inning. And the
- 45:42Speaker 1: guy that started it off with an infield hit, Luis Robert,
- 45:47Speaker 1: will bat for the second time. Robert, three for five,
- 46:02Speaker 1: three singles. Well, it's not often you see a position
- 46:23Speaker 1: player pitching in the eighth inning. Hedges the set and
- 46:38Speaker 1: the pitch, and it's fouled back, strike one. The next pitch,
- 46:51Speaker 1: in there, called strike at 70 miles per hour. Now
- 46:59Speaker 1: the 0-2. Swing and a miss, struck out Robert on
- 47:03Speaker 1: three pitches. Standing ovation for Austin Hedges.
- 47:11Speaker 17: 13-5.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Mets, middle of the eighth.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Recently, our company softball team lost the big game by

- 49:00Speaker 13: Hey, it's Ron Burb and I'm taking on the stories
- 49:02Speaker 13: that actually matter. After Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Well, former Clevelander, Zanian Curry, The right-hander got called up
- 49:16Speaker 1: after the Mets made all of those deadline deals. And
- 49:20Speaker 1: Xavier Curry, out of Georgia Tech, on to pitch the
- 49:25Speaker 1: eighth inning. With the Mets pummeling Cleveland.
- 49:31Speaker 3: 13-5.
- 49:32Speaker 1: The right-handers pitch, and Brian Rocchio batting left-handed takes the strike. Rocchio,
- 49:38Speaker 1: one for three. Curry uses the windup. Here it comes.
- 49:45Speaker 1: And it's down low, bouncing away, 1-1. Curry into the motion.
- 50:04Speaker 1: The 1-1 pitch. A little bit low, 2-1. Cody Senga.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Had a 1-2-3 inning with a couple of strikeouts. Rookie
- 50:15Speaker 1: Nolan McClain gave up five runs in five innings, but
- 50:18Speaker 1: he'll get his eighth win. The pitch. And Rocio lofts
- 50:23Speaker 1: one in the air. Shallow center. Luis Robert Jr. will
- 50:28Speaker 1: retire the Cleveland shortstop. Here's Petey Helton, couple of singles
- 50:33Speaker 1: and three trips. The kick and delivery. And helping with
- 50:55Speaker 1: a bounce to the first. Young grabs, flips to Curry.
- 50:58Speaker 13: On the run.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Two down. Let's pause for Station ID on the Cleveland
- 51:04Speaker 1: Clinic Radio Network.
- 51:05Speaker 17: From the Money Talks investment coach, John Arnold Studios, this
- 51:11Speaker 17: is 570 WKBN Youngstown, an iHeartRadio station guaranteed human.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Tommy Hamilton with you on a warm day on the lakefront,
- 51:23Speaker 1: along with Jim Rosenhouse, Brian Motze. Mets up 13-5, two
- 51:27Speaker 1: down in the eighth. Patrick Bailey, 0-3. The catcher takes
- 51:32Speaker 1: outside the ball. The next pitch, and Bailey skies one.
- 51:48Speaker 1: On the infield, near second. Lindor, the shortstop, makes the grab.
- 51:53Speaker 1: And we'll go to the ninth. 13-5 Mets on the
- 51:57Speaker 1: Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
