Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: At one thirty two to one twenty seven. Man, that
- 0:05Speaker 1: was that was a great game to watch it. Houston
- 0:07Speaker 1: showing a lot of grit back to back. They're down
- 0:10Speaker 1: sixteen to the third, came back, took that lead in
- 0:12Speaker 1: the fourth quarter. But Sacramento not eight and two under
- 0:16Speaker 1: Doug Christie. And one of the numbers there, you see,
- 0:18Speaker 1: it's a five point of win. That's four straight wins
- 0:22Speaker 1: for the Kings under Christie in games decided by five
- 0:26Speaker 1: or less. And before that they were three and eleven
- 0:30Speaker 1: up until that point before Christy took over.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I know they still go ahead, Chack. I know Chuck's
- 0:35Speaker 2: probably upset that, you know, Mike Brown was let go,
- 0:39Speaker 2: But I think Doug Christy, he was there obviously in
- 0:42Speaker 2: the locker room. You know, Mike Brown was complaining about
- 0:44Speaker 2: how the guy's don't listen, and so obviously he kind
- 0:47Speaker 2: of lost the locker room. So I think Doug has
- 0:49Speaker 2: done a great job of not repeating that, letting the
- 0:52Speaker 2: guys go out and like I said, they're playing with
- 0:54Speaker 2: a lot, a lot more energy and they look pretty good.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah, well, we just disagree because you know, players never
- 0:59Speaker 3: take responsibilities for getting coaches fired. You saw the same
- 1:03Speaker 3: thing with the Lakers. You see the same thing with
- 1:04Speaker 3: the signs. Players have to play. Mike Brown won Coach
- 1:08Speaker 3: of the Year a couple of years ago. He didn't
- 1:10Speaker 3: start sucking as a coach. That team they got the
- 1:12Speaker 3: margins rosen and were regressing. Like a couple of years ago.
- 1:16Speaker 3: When they took the Wars the seventh game, we're like, man,
- 1:19Speaker 3: this team got a really really bright future and they
- 1:22Speaker 3: have regress And it's easy to blame coaches, but players
- 1:25Speaker 3: take zero responsibilities and that really pisses me off.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Well, you know again, I think you both have valid points.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Pick a sigh, don't be of shack. First of all,
- 1:40Speaker 4: you both have valids that come from I don't know
- 1:42Speaker 4: you both. Yeah, you both have valid points. But it
- 1:47Speaker 4: also it also comes down to a situation where you
- 1:52Speaker 4: look at players. They there's a sometime an assistant coach
- 1:58Speaker 4: has a different ear to players, and being assistant coach,
- 2:02Speaker 4: he's able to say certain things while he's an assistant.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Now it's a big difference when you move six feet
- 2:07Speaker 4: over to actually say those same things. But he might
- 2:11Speaker 4: have had a belief in a couple of other guys
- 2:14Speaker 4: who may have been struggling or not playing well that
- 2:17Speaker 4: Now they go, oh, he's the coach, he believes in me.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Now can you play well for Mike Brown, who's been
- 2:23Speaker 4: the coach of the year. Hell yeah, Like there's no
- 2:26Speaker 4: reason you should not be able to play well for him.
- 2:29Speaker 4: But you have to factor in human nature of what
- 2:33Speaker 4: Chack is saying that the human nature of it is
- 2:36Speaker 4: there is a switch that sometimes plays well.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Anytime you fire a coach, there's going to be immediate energy.
- 2:43Speaker 3: But like you said earlier, we'll know more in two
- 2:47Speaker 3: or three weeks. But I just don't think it's Fairah,
- 2:49Speaker 3: we're in this. The coach has to get fired. Like
- 2:53Speaker 3: first of all, some of these gentle menagers suck.
- 2:55Speaker 4: But think about this. Maybe Sacramento overachieved with him. No
- 2:59Speaker 4: they didn't. No, I'm talking about because the West has
- 3:01Speaker 4: gotten better John morand they got better too. They got
- 3:03Speaker 4: to Mars, they got to Rod Rosen, a good player,
- 3:09Speaker 4: terrific player, terrific player.
- 3:11Speaker 3: So they should have gotten better with the addition of
- 3:13Speaker 3: the Martin Roses, except they have regressed. And listen, I
- 3:16Speaker 3: wouish I like Doug Christ, I wish I'm nothing at
- 3:18Speaker 3: the best, But at some point we as players. We
- 3:21Speaker 3: as players, we have to take responsibility, and we're not
- 3:24Speaker 3: doing our job. They're the worst defensive team in the league.
- 3:28Speaker 3: They've been that even when they were winning. They were
- 3:30Speaker 3: bad offensively.
- 3:32Speaker 4: The players.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Okay, just like I've been saying the whole time. But
- 3:36Speaker 2: you told me, oh, you need a coach now, coach
- 3:38Speaker 2: is important. You think coaching don't matter. Coaching does matter,
- 3:41Speaker 2: Coaching does matter the players.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Come on, man, stop it. Listen quire saying coaching don't matter.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Let me make my point. The coaches are excellent old
- 3:50Speaker 2: guys and managers. It's the players. It's the players responsibility
- 3:53Speaker 2: to go out and play defense, to go out and
- 3:54Speaker 2: play with that for gold and play hard. That's all
- 3:56Speaker 2: I'm saying. But you don't think coaching matters. I never
- 3:59Speaker 2: said coach as you said that, because you know you
- 4:01Speaker 2: said coaches don't matter. I said, you're giving coaches too
- 4:04Speaker 2: much credit. I don't give him too much credit. I
- 4:05Speaker 2: give him credit when they deserve it. Okay, so the
- 4:08Speaker 2: guys wouldn't play in the defense, who follows up? It's
- 4:10Speaker 2: the coach of the players.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Jack, I do believe you are a different player, and
- 4:16Speaker 4: we've all played against you. Bro hol on different. I'm
- 4:19Speaker 4: just saying, hold on, I see I've seen you that
- 4:22Speaker 4: one of the greatest players that ever touched it. I
- 4:25Speaker 4: see Hall play differently under different coaches.
- 4:30Speaker 2: You know who I got that from. I've seen y'all.
- 4:32Speaker 2: When Tomvich called the player, I've seen you say no,
- 4:36Speaker 2: we're not doing that, We're.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Going to a geam. Doesn't mean we don't believe in
- 4:38Speaker 4: him or he didn't make a difference.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Well, well, obviously you didn't believe. If you didn't believe
- 4:44Speaker 2: to play, it doesn't matter. My point is, which is
- 4:47Speaker 2: valid is the players, guys. Because you said as a player,
- 4:50Speaker 2: you know, you took the only thing and said, I'm
- 4:52Speaker 2: not calling that. We're gonna get a ball of kam.
- 4:54Speaker 2: They're gonna double. You're gonna throw about the me. I'm
- 4:55Speaker 2: a swing at the ball team.
- 4:57Speaker 3: And also you are, like you said, not when he
- 5:00Speaker 3: brew his head run a play. Now I'm going into
- 5:02Speaker 3: a cookie because he's going barbecue chicken shack.
- 5:06Speaker 4: But wait time out, let me add it was one
- 5:08Speaker 4: of my shack.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I went to the final six times, the play loser,
- 5:13Speaker 2: the play that I was switching up.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Check You're gonna get you because you said barbecue chicken out.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Say what you said about barbecue chicken.
- 5:23Speaker 4: I never said it was a dream shake. I said
- 5:25Speaker 4: it was Louisiana ticket.
- 5:29Speaker 1: All of that being said, Doug Christie is eight too,
- 5:32Speaker 1: said he do you want to stay here all night?
- 5:34Speaker 4: You want to do some highlight?
- 5:36Speaker 2: I gotta rebutter when I'm at your thought, your mouth.
- 5:38Speaker 2: You ain't gonna be able to eat no chicken about
- 5:42Speaker 2: chicken noodle soup.
- 5:44Speaker 4: About your mouth.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Let's go to what we thought was going to be
- 5:48Speaker 1: the game of the night.
- 5:49Speaker 4: You're right, oh man,
