If there is one silver lining to the conflict in Ukraine - it has shown us World War 3 is next to impossible. Our global economies are now so intertwined, the west can't even meaningfully sanction China or Russia without hurting itself, let alone send troops in. Whether this is a good thing for Taiwan is another matter...
