- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, friend.

- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: I ghost thank you so much for joining me once again today on the broadcast today.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: I get to talk about and to a good man.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so thankful to call Scott Nederville to have called Scott Nederville a friend of mine.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: towards the end of his life.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: I talked to him for a little bit and we'd been a help and a partner to him in different ways.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: He had a ministry called Ambassador Baptist Ministries.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Really it was a ministry of helps.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was a ministry to be an encouragement to pastors and churches.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: And we're the Nettoville.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was a wonderful soul winner, wonderful teacher,
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: We had the opportunity to record about four or five hours of soul-winning training.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: Bible tracks and corporate, we have some of these video tools and filming abilities, but they're Cameron and Brother Gilbert, two folks that have worked with us here at BTI, we're such a blessing, such a help in recording these sessions, these seminar sessions on soul-wing.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: And rather than ever, one of the reasons it was so time-sensitive is because his body was erect with cancer, he was very close to stepping over to the other side.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: And we got to do that just scant months, not even weeks before he passed away, and I'm so thankful they're available to you.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: free of charge, you can text the word ScottSCOTTT to my number 309 3167240.

- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: tiredy of the podcast episode that you're going to hear a snippet of today, but you can also access that so-winning training.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: Listen now as we jump back into this interview that I did with Scott Netterville just a few months before he passed away.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: Well, what's in, what y'all
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: And that's all ministry is, it's hell.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what Ambassador Baptist ministry is.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's a helps ministry.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: And that's, that was in my heart from day one to just, I wanted to help struggling pastors because there were so many out there that were struggling that,
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: Some had been beat up, some had been just discouraged by circumstance.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_02]: Some even discouraged by, you know, why can't I say this, discourage by placement because they go to a new place.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_02]: and uh... it's different people are different uh... when i come up north uh... i am not a norther and uh... people are different and so i talk about when i when i do so when i train it uh... i found out that uh... uh... people up north have no idea what a washateria is
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: And I talk about it.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: Do you know what a wash interior is, brother?
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, you put me on the spot.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think I can answer you, brother.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: You got to help me out.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: I will say I was born in Fort Hood, Texas.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: So somehow, in the brief time that I was there, we found the military moved my family.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: Somehow, I missed this.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: It did not get downloaded to me.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: So please, help my education.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: Get out.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: I cannot believe a action that no one wanted to do.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's a, that's a laundry mat down south.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: We call them a wash of theory till you go and and one of the illustrations that I use and so when in training, I would use that term wash of theory and I found out when I'm up north.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm teaching, so when I come to the word wash material, they have no idea what I'm talking about.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: And so I'll tell them we are a bunch of Yankee, say, for the house used to say, he'd say, you know, how many, uh, uh, uh,
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: What do you say?
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: How many Yankees we have here and how many real Americans?
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: And so That's kind of I feel like there you go.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not a Northerner and I feel out of place up.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: It times up north cause I it's a different culture to me Absolutely, and so you know those are just some of the things that you learn
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: and helping folks, sometimes, that cultural change, they need some help to learn how to damped to that culture to answer.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: But I love what you said there, you're just going back for just saying it, talking about pride and humility.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: And the work that you that guides allowed you to do, I believe, a large part of
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: of your, your, the work he had done in you for 27 years.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: You think about Jesus had 30 years of preparation.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: We'll call it that for three and a half year ministry and for you in talking about that humility, they, they, they, the key in, in humility.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: I've learned for myself, whether, whether they're there is nobody that can do a better job lying to me than I can to myself.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I do a real good job of telling myself sometimes, oh, you're not proud.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: You're humble, right?
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: We do a great job of lying to ourselves that way.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I think for me in my life, and I've seen this in myself, that exactly to your point, God has got to break us down sometimes, so we can be built up.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a wonderful lesson for a young man to learn.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: You feel like, for these last years, you've been doing exactly what God wants, but those 27 years of preparation that God did all fed into, allowing you to do what you do now to the best of your ability.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: And what a blessing it is to see what God's doing through that.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: So leading into Ambassador Baptist Ministries and feel free to comment on any of that, but leading into Ambassador Baptist Ministries, how did that come to be?
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know, first, let me say, it's a shame that it took God 27 years to be coming out for you.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: Good use me.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: Finally, get me where you wanted me, I'm at, but I think it was in October of 2013.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_02]: when I had resigned the past root and had began to God spoke to my heart about evangelism and I'll be honest, I am not now this might be a low-controversial, but I don't like evangelists.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_02]: And let me explain that, I am not the, I guess in my heart in mind, I am not the type of evangelist that I want to just come in on Saturday, go to the hotel room.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: You know, show up on Sunday morning, teach, preach, and go home, whether it's own Sunday night or at the end of a meeting, and never really spend time getting out so winning with the people.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: I want to, I want to be involved with your people.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: I want to, I want to be so winning with them.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: And so, when God first spoke to my heart about evangelism and I really, to be honest, I consider myself a missionary in America, not necessarily an evangelist.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: Because I wanted to, my burden has always been for so many years.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: And from, that's why I went to Bible College.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to learn how to be a soul winner.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to be able to teach others how to win souls.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: And so you, it's an evangelist.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: You don't really have the opportunity to do that.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I spent,
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, it was at least six months before I started the ministry from the time that God spoke to my heart there that night from Acts 8, 4, until we moved to Bourbon,
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: with Ambassador Baptist Ministries.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: And God had used obviously second Corinthians 520.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_02]: It says now then ER ambassadors for Christ.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's where the name of the ministry comes from.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: Because we are, we should be ambassadors for Christ.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: And I wanted to have opportunity.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: And to come in, I would rather come in on Friday be there to go so went in with your people on Saturday and then be able to...
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: do what, and to be honest, I tell pastors even now.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have to teach or preach on the Sunday that I love to.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: I want to, but that's my burden is more, I want to help your people and so when it's so hard.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: I want to show them.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: I want to be out there with them.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to show them this is what the ministries of Basin.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then if you want me to teach in preach, that's fine.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Also, you know, the Lord's open the door for us to be able to sing.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: I love to sing and preach in those saying, but still my heart, rather than so, when it did.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: Because we, and I, to be honest, I see we are losing.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: uh... that door to door so when uh... it amongst independent Baptist that uh... when when i got saved back in 1981 uh... there had been a i believe a revival amongst independent Baptist
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: in the sixties and seventies and so winning and in the eighties that that fire was still going and but we have we have lost the fire of preaching we have lost the fire of so winning we've lost the fire of separation standards.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's not the same that it used to be, and I'm telling you, we don't see the movement of God.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: that we used to see because we are losing the fire of those, those other things.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, every Christian should be an evangelist.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: Every Christian should be desirous of reaching the lost with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so thankful for Scott Netterville's desire, his firmancy, for reaching the lost.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm thankful that we were able to record some training with him text.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: Scott to three zero nine three one six seven two four zero have a great day for his glory God bless
