Today, ⁓ my goodness, today we have the finale of Fall of Magic. We are finally finishing up this series. We are finishing the story. I am just outside of my skin excited to bring this to you guys. I have sincerely loved the story that we've been telling together and both Bloom and Cruz are just amazing storytellers and I'm so grateful we got to have this experience together. Anyway, before I start crying, here is Fall of Magic Part 6. Real quick though, if you haven't watched episodes 1 through 5, I highly suggest doing those first otherwise you will be completely lost. Alright, enjoy the finale. Hello everyone, welcome back to Heart of the Deer in a Corn. My name is Momo and today... We are probably finishing Fall of Magic, which has me feeling many emotions. We also all dressed up. Isn't that so cute? I'm here with Bloom and I'm here with Cruz and we are here to play Fall of Magic, not for the last time, but maybe for the last time on this channel. Very excited, bittersweet. Don't know please if you start crying I'll start crying. Okay, I'm like not even joking I won't quails the quail the quails We save the magic quails that live in the tops of trees where quails live obviously Science that's the only reason why I'm in it for the quails for the quails. No, I get it That's our but that's our war cry as we charge into battle for the quails. My dad is really good Anyway, that being said, let's do a recap of last session. Oh goodness. Last session was. We were in the. The deep way. The deep way, we were in the place with like the hanging things. Yep. went on an adventure. Yeah. With egg sandwich, was egg sandwich. Jalapeno popper. And jalapeno popper, yes. ⁓ Jalapeno paper proper led us egg sandwich was kind of there which egg sandwich was there a was not about no bad idea honestly though it was good that egg sandwich was with us because obviously the the whole new experience was epic rocked out we saved the Through the power of friendship and music we saved the the salamander god the salamander god slash axolotl gun but In doing so, we also saved Egg Sandwich because when we got back to the Hanging City, everything just turned terrible. Yeah, it was a big old whiplash of a moment. It was hee hee ha ha. And then all of a sudden it was oh no. And then we spent the next days running. We ran. We ran straight out of the deep way because we are being chased. We are being chased by some big baddies. Big baddies as far as we know did some experiments on... We don't know this. Cause Sully is still unconscious. That is I am unconscious. After touching, I think one of the crystals. There's a mushroom. Mushroom. Yeah, the tooth area, And then you had the vision of them possibly implanting the frog god into you, if I remember correctly. Yeah, something like that. Damn. We were chased by unknowable horrors. that were in the shape of twisted demigods. Yep. Came across the big gate. Big gate. Had to a lot of sacrifices. ⁓ Harp's sword, forgive me not, the sword of the hero of Barleytown broke while trying to fend off all the monsters so that we could get through the gate quickly enough. Which we did which we did just barely. Yeah, just barely which was interesting, right? Yes, just the tiniest little hole opened tiniest little hole almost as if something Was not right something was not right? Yeah, yeah very high and low last session for sure, but we're all on the same page now We got out of the deep way and we find ourselves in the nameless city. Yes The Nameless City, which we're gonna take a look at. We've got The Nameless City, The Cost of Magic, Night Ward, What You Lose, Palace of Silver, Hospitality of the Nameless, Body of the Ancient, which is the Knowledge You Seek, Buried Ward, What You Save. And then we've got the Nameless City and the glow and then that's the end of the game. That's it. That's it. Which is insane. So who wants to get us started with the Nameless City? I will, yes, the Nameless City. Yes. Should we just roll actually? To see who goes first? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I'll down. Yeah, because I forget who, I forget the order for. That's pretty solid. Also screenshot. God damn it. Also four. Six. you go. Sully has spoken. Dang, that was like right at the edge of the table too. Yeah, so the cost of magic, the nameless city. Which what does it look like as we exit the door? We didn't really decide that. Right, we just left. Just flash of bright. ⁓ no, we did. We did discuss. was that every, we had been in there for months. Months, that's right. And everything is. Even worse. Everything is worse. Yeah, I was about to be like, ⁓ so bright, blinding, but no, it was dark. It was cloudy. It was very sad. I almost want to say like the sky itself is like almost like a purplish color with like clouds of dark storminess. Maybe even some lightning here and there. But but because of like the lack of sound, you just see the lightning, but you never it never like arrives. It's like everything's like muffled. Yeah. ⁓ I hate that. Yeah. Your sinuses are just like terrible. Oh God. It's just the worst. This place is a nightmare. And then, but we come out, we see maybe like a winding path down a mountain. that we're just standing at the top of that leads straight to the Nameless City. So we have this kind of hill to go down. I'm passed out. Sully's passed out. I'm okay. If this is you passed out, this is wild. Thank you. Yeah, I'm surviving. ⁓ So we're traversing this super jagged steep, almost like ⁓ if you slipped, you would probably die. ⁓ And the nameless city just seems like this nice little haven like tucked in between the sharp jagged edge almost like ⁓ What you would see when you go to like an Alpine Lake? ⁓ okay. Okay. Let's see a lot of brambles it looks like too yeah, and I want to say maybe the city isn't even like there's a city center, but it's kind of like There's a little bit of a city here on this wall. There's a little bit of city on this wall. They're kind of more like isolated. It's like dense. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You kind of like, ⁓ that might be the shopping district that looks like more residential over there is like the war stuff, like where they have like the armory, things like that. ⁓ see kind of like steps kind of going through it. And ⁓ yeah, also just like even though there's no magic, it still smells very floral. Okay, things like that, but we don't quite know where the smell is coming from And I want to say the cost of magic ⁓ The lack of magic. ⁓ I Just want maybe just like the general vibes. It's sad. Yeah. Yeah, totally. Yeah not Not great vibes, not great vibes. The vibes are rancid. Has any of our, ⁓ maybe Egg Sandwich has been here? No, Egg Sandwich has gone. Egg Sandwich is now permanently with the Salamander God, or the Axolotl God. Yeah, maybe he is on the mosaic now. God, I wish that were me. Egg Sandwich just ascending. ⁓ Is there anything else anyone wants to add to that? Like, has any of our fellow team been here before, or is this all new for us? This is new. Yeah, this will be the furthest Fawn has ever traveled from home by like a lot. Same. And I feel like Fawn is really quiet for once, ⁓ contemplative, and just kind of thinking about her worry for Sully being unconscious, her concern for Forget Me Not being broken, and for Harp, because Fawn knows how much that meant to Harp. ⁓ You also lost your totem. I lost my totem, had to burn my totem in the fire, which was something my sister had made me, which is really hard. Just like a lot of loss and rapid succession. And also the fear of being pursued is just a lot for Fawn. It's a lot. But Magus never said it was gonna be easy. No. Magus didn't say much. Magus didn't also say it would be this fucking hard. Yeah. Magus. Thanks, Magus. It's just like, oh, we're just gonna cross the hills We just have to an egg, it's have to find an egg and I'll be reborn and magic will be fine. Yeah. Yeah. Fuck you. Are we all just like resenting the Magus right now? Who's still actively a child, right? No, tiny person, I thought. Yeah, has shrunk to. Yeah, is, feel like I'm currently carrying the Magus in like a little bundle with Sully. Got it. Insane little bundle. Just like little dolls? Yeah. ⁓ my god. What does a pastel frog like to carry, I wonder? Both of you just like, Slimy is the Wet, I was gonna say wet. I feel like with you being this unconscious, probably not. Like the weird point of like things are supposed to be wet but now they're sticky because they're drying out. Oh no. Yeah. We need to get him some water stack. Like you've got like cracked lips. Oh no, my whole facial routine's ruined. Yes, yeah. We need to moisturize solely. Moisturize. Get this, Vroga face mask. I some Korean skincare stat. All right, is there, so we come across the city, we're walking down the stairs. Is there anything that catches your eyes that you wanna go visit first, Fawn? Hmm. Ooh, Probably body of the ancient the knowledge you seek and then we would roll for either the knowledge you find a relic of paradise or a terrible price because I feel like we need direction now that we're out here and I feel like maybe if we go to the Okay, I'm cooking sorry This city is built on the body of a long forgotten demigod, the carcass of it. Maybe the bones of a giant, like some, we've like, yes, thank you. We have come across some of these, ooh, actually. even more ancient than these current demigods. The demigod of a creature that no longer exists. So like a predecessing god? A predecessing god. What if it's the god that man had killed? Remember that there was the fire and that's what the mangas took over? Yes. that's of woven into the story a little bit. What if this is the valley of the carcass of that god? Yes, but we don't know that yet. But that is kind of, yes, that is where there's maybe this temple dedicated to that story. And maybe as we're walking through this city, we see kind of these bones jutting up from around us and we don't know what exactly they mean. We come across this temple that is the epicenter, maybe the heart of the body of the ancient. Its heart is kept in this temple. And we are seeking knowledge. We don't know where to go. We don't know where this fucking egg is. But we see this temple and it looks intriguing. So maybe we take a rest here for a moment to catch our breaths before we explore the rest of the city. And I will roll. The knowledge we find is this origin story of this god and of the realization that we are in a place so ancient that it predates even the current gods. And maybe there are other answers here that we can find. Love it. What's the population situation like here? Like are we seeing people or is this abandoned? Or is this? It's been months. It's been getting kind of rough. Maybe it's like it was bustling, but now that it's been a few months that we've been on this journey, I could imagine people have like, there's a few people, but not like many and they're kind of migrate. What if there's some people who are the nameless and they are kind of the protectors of this temple. Like they stayed. They stayed. They stayed and they wear these like flowing robes. Maybe they have like veils over their faces. They are faceless, they are nameless, and they are voiceless. So maybe we've tried to speak with them, but they don't respond. But they are a physical presence here. You're giving Bloom a lot of material to make this horrifying. That's kind of what I'm going for. I have an idea. Yes! if I may run with the idea of the Nameless Ones. Please. When you first look at them, you think that's a statue. That is something that's made out of marble or granite. It's just something, a nice solid stone that you would carve a statue out of. However, it does still have the flowing robes. It still has a fabric face cover. But you can tell that, if you put fabric over your face, you can still see some of the lines. You can tell that it's just flat. there's something that's always freaked me out. Okay, good. And when they move, it feels... reactionary or rather it feels delayed. Almost like we're watching a marionette. So something is moving them but it's not them choosing to move. Does that make sense? Yes, I am picking up what you were putting down. And I like the idea that as we interact with them, out of the corner of your eye in the shadows you almost see like. you can almost see strings, you can almost see something hovering above them ⁓ that is moving them. And I like the idea that while they can't talk, it's almost as if, not they're speaking telepathically, but we understand what they mean, but can't really articulate how. Right, they don't use like speech. What if they just break dance? Let's go. But they break dance like that one Olympic break dancer. So it's like really bad. ⁓ no. No, I deny. X card. X card. Just joking. They don't have to dance, but that's But that's really funny. Creepy marionettes. Horrifying. Yes. Horrifying marionettes. What's controlling them? That's creepy. know. It's always passed out. I don't know. I do like the idea that we get the feeling they're not malicious. Right, yeah, they're not malicious. They don't want to hurt us. They're more of like a guardian of this nameless place. I almost feel like they're also like slowly turning into stone. Like at the cost of magic. it's harder for them to move right now. Right, magic is what keeps them kind of ambulatory. ⁓ okay, okay, okay. So right now it's a lot of like screeching hinges and stone. Grinding. So loud. Loud. Yeah, they move and it's loud. Especially because everything else is so quiet. Yeah. ⁓ And. So we're seeking knowledge about where to find the egg. And the knowledge we found is the knowledge of this place, of these nameless ones. Is there anything else that they share with us? I feel like some other questions would be like, not only the direction we need to go, but our party's not looking so hot. Yeah. How do we? Like, are they hospital? I guess the place is Silver's hospital, so maybe that's something that they point us to or. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, maybe we ask them like, fun and hard. Like we need to help our friend. We need to find the egg. The Magus is tiny. And then it's just like. Yeah. Creepy, creepy. And then the door just like swings open to the palace. Okay, I like it. Yes. Maybe, maybe because this temple was in the heart, like as soon as we enter the room, it's like everything is just blood red. But it's marble. Like it's just shiny, like. Almost like, almost like Jasper. Yeah. And maybe it's been silent up until now, but now we hear like a very rhythmic like, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump. I like it. the heart of the magic. It's the heart of the magic. ⁓ well, maybe. Maybe. I don't think it can be that easy. But I would like to maybe like maybe the knowledge we find out is doubled down and like we learn a little bit about because like the Magus kind of did a little bit of like lore drop of like, ⁓ there was this one God that man like when man came in, they slayed and got the fire from it. Maybe it's like the depiction of like this temple and that beating is actually a flame. inside. ⁓ yes. OK, I like that. And then the knowledge that we find is that maybe this starts to kind of like the Magus could like touch and harmonize with this a little bit. ⁓ OK. So yeah, maybe the when we get into the temple, we hear the rhythmic, we see the red stone, maybe the Magus stirs a little bit and maybe like you kind of let the Magus down. I imagine they're like yay big. They scurry away. And they scream. Just up the walls. And maybe there's this light, the fire, right, that you said. There's like this brazier that's like burning with like this like abnormally red fire. It's like not like orange or blue. It is like blood red, blood red fire. ⁓ And yeah, maybe the Magus like communes with it somehow and maybe gets some of its power back because of this like ancient will of magic. Okay, what if, because this is magic before magic, and kind of the magic that birthed the rest of the gods. Right. ⁓ What if the Magus actually goes up to it and enters the fire? Ooh, okay. And then when we next see it, we go up and we look, and we actually watch as the Magus is now encased in the egg. That's not where we have to bring the egg. We still need to bring the egg somewhere for it to So this was the egg, ⁓ my This was the egg we needed to find, but this doesn't actually fix anything. Right, but it's a step. to imagine it's just like also crimson, like really ornate carvings around it. Like a Faberge egg. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Super fragile. Very. ⁓ God, so scared. like, when the Megas goes, it like... Like the Magus also points to the direction, Harp carries them over, sets them down, they enter the fire, scream, it's horrifying. ⁓ It's hot. But then it's just like, around them. Or maybe even like one of the Nameless like picks up the, and throws them in the fire. ⁓ okay, that's not what I was thinking, but I kinda like that. And we're like, what are you doing? And then the nameless one also takes the egg out for us. Yeah. It reaches into the fire and brings it out and presents it in front of us. Yes. It's like, I mean, it's like egg. Yeah. What's fun in harp thinking right now? I mean, like, this is kind of extreme. Yeah. Sad Soli is still passed out. Do we throw Soli in the fire? I do have a god in me. We don't know that, but this does seem to heal people. We'll come back to that. Yeah, what's harp thinking? ⁓ goodness. hard? has kind of sunken back to the point that they were at when we first started. ⁓ Of not feeling worthy of just being here to try to help the best that they can. ⁓ But I think Harp also feels more of a connection to this place, to this temple, than any other place that we've been to so far. ⁓ And is recognizing that this is an old place, an empty place, but also a place of healing. And... ⁓ As far as the egg goes, I think there's actually a moment where Harp is more concerned about Sully than the egg. Totally. Yeah. Yeah. Can I add some flavor here? Please. Then the nameless points at you and then points up at your sword, the hilt of it. There's only like this much left of this longsword. The rest of the pieces were either burned in that brazier to open the door or left, just scattered. ⁓ The sentinel reaches out for it and then... I'd give it to him, yeah. He grabs the... Just very, very gently. Because I imagine the hand is like... Yeah, and then hands it off to another one and they walk behind the fire. and then they point to the room next to us. to find another sword someplace. mean, do we go in that room, I guess? Yeah. OK. Let's talk Solian. about forget me now. Let's just do it. OK. Yeah, I guess we'll go into that, like, alcove maybe? Like a whole little, not alcove. What's the word I'm looking for? Antichamber? Antichamber. And then what happens? So this one is like an artery. It's all blue. Oh! Long table. Delightful. And just some little snacks. Most people have left, no one really visits here recently since the magic has been falling. Big, really awesome chairs that are also blue, tucked into this. It almost seems like the marble table is coming from the ground and then almost like a waterfall over the top. So the Nameless are being very hospitable. They're not... trying to harm us or anything. They see that we need rest and as you guys walk maybe down the stairs you hear the main door from the entrance and close. Gotcha. And then let's say that at the end of the table there's one of them but the veil's up and we see. What do we see? What's underneath the veil? You said flat. Flat. Flat. Maybe this one has three faces? Ooh. I do love, maybe it's like, yeah, like a leader of some kind. So like, I'm thinking like mannequin face. Like, vague shape of a face and a head, but just like very smooth. ⁓ And that's its middle one. And then the other one is like a stone sculpture with a size open, and the other one is a stone sculpture with a size closed. Okay, I like it. And then what? Well, we're here for knowledge, so. Yeah. What's going on with the egg? Slowly still passed out. ⁓ So they don't talk to us with language, but they kind of, I imagine they almost beam images into our mind. Yeah. Yeah. And they communicate kind of through images and feelings rather than actual words. Maybe it's a memory. Maybe it's like a premonition as you look into its eyes. A premonition? Yeah. So like what we're seeing in the future? Yeah. Gotcha. It shows us where we need to bring the egg. Yeah, so that's what Phan sees. Tell us what Phan sees, and then you'll have to tell the rest of us. It shows, oh okay, let me cook for a minute, because this is important. It shows us where magic was born, which is, in this present moment, a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful glade. It is somehow untouched by the devastation that's rocking everything else. It is a meadow of wild flowers. There's a stream, there's a river. The sun is like shining all over it. It's beautiful. And there is just this stone pedestal there with carvings of all of the gods in every iteration. There's the dragon gods from way, way, way before. There's this primordial god. There's a new iteration of gods. There's gods we haven't seen yet. That may be the iteration after this iteration of gods. It's just an amalgamation of these beautiful stone carvings and there is a little velvet pillow sitting right on top of it. And that is where we need to bring the egg. Yep. And that's all I got. I love it. think that's definitely some key details. Like now we know that we're looking for something. Yeah, we're looking for a place that has been untouched by the corruption. Yeah. Yeah. with yours being a sort of premonition for guiding us, because I feel like you've been very much the... get us to the right places person in the group. I feel like Harps is going to be a defensive vision. Good call. And like maybe balance of both sides of success and failure. Yes. ⁓ With the showing of this last kind of stand for our group ⁓ in this. I also see parts of the Glade. And then I can see that we're in tall grass, we're in wild flowers. But it's not the focus of it. There is this scintillating aurora glow that's kind of washing over everything. But there's the onslaught of creatures and this woman that we saw coming for us at the edge of this glade. Totally. I think one of the things that keeps changing in mine is Sully is either by me with the dagger or by them with the dagger. And then keeps flipping back and forth. ⁓ And then it follows up that vision with the view of the world if we succeed with Sully next to me ⁓ of everything coming back of life. rushing back into the world of magic returning and the other side, if Sully is on that side of things, of the world crumbling and things just turning to ash. ⁓ It's all in the hands of a frog. It's all in the hands of a frog. It's a little frog, just a little guy. Just a little frog guy with a cape. I'm going to say ⁓ Sully... is passed out, but he still gets a vision. ⁓ He's in water trying to tread and sinking, but then gets pulled out by this being that sent us the visions. And he's in a mindscape with him, where he pulls him out of this water, then it's just like you're at water level. And it's almost like an endless sky. So on the surface level, the water is reflecting the sky that's overhead. ⁓ I get pulled out of water and Solly's a man. But he's not quite the man that he was when he was turned into a frog. ⁓ He's like his true self, like before the torture or torment and before getting changed. So his true self. And then ⁓ as this guy then starts to rotate around as this being at the end of the table twists, turns around. And like the water then starts like, almost like zooming by like we're flying at like Mach speed to land. And on this like island, that's kind of like a, it's a well-vegetated island, jagged mountain range, maybe one mountain, just like off to the top and it kind of like cascades down. And at the very edge of it is a god, the toad god, the frog god. And he's like golden and, but he's... Kind of like he has these daggers going through his body pinning him down to the island and they're just like glowing purple around him and then I want to say The being then comes up and like starts like breaking them with solely like trying to set it free. Yeah, nice So solely ⁓ is kind of like weary of it at first kind of like there's no nothing talking he's just like As he's breaking it, he feels like lighter and lighter and lighter. And then I want to say we all come out of our visions. And it's been... It's now nighttime. And then looking around the room, we see Fawn kind of just like on a daybed off to the side, like a blue daybed. Harp is maybe like leaned up against the wall, kind of like passed out. And then Sully is a man again. ⁓ But this version of Sully like... long hair, in face, he has scars going up his body, like, kinda like, you can see like incision marks, almost like it was an autopsy. Right. And then like around each cut there's like glyphs of like tattoos going around him, like he's fully like covered. ⁓ One eye might be black, like just like the iris of it. Okay. But again, that's like him as a person now. Wow. We get human Sully. That's crazy. So are we sleeping? Yeah. We're sleeping, okay. Is Sully still asleep or is Sully So Sully's the first one to awake. First one to wake, okay. And the only thing really left that he's holding is his dagger. cape is so small now. It's basically a loincloth. Yeah. Do you have clothes? I have a loincloth. Okay, okay. Good enough, good enough, good I have a black frog-shaped loincloth. Frog-shaped. What did you do to Solly? Oh my god. Oh no. Damn. Okay, who wakes up first? One, two, three, shoot. One, two, shoot. Properly done. ⁓ Do you wake any of us up or do you just? ⁓ When I'm awake, I'm in shock. I know you guys. ⁓ And I want to say, no, I don't wake you up. Okay. I think at some point, I like the idea that you were like laying just on the table. And then, like, I kind of cracked my eyes open and I see you just sitting up. So I see strange man cuts all over his body, glyphs of like ceiling around his body, completely naked. Loin cloth. Loin cloth, gaunt as hell. Don't know where Sully is. ⁓ I think there'll be a really funny moment where Harp jumps up, grabs like a candelabra or something, and then immediately like rolls to be between you and Fawn. And is just like, who are you? Because you don't have to forget me not. I don't have to forget me not. I have a candelabra. Real quick ⁓ thing for addition, when they took my sword, they also took my dragon scale shield ⁓ that the axolotl gave me. It's pearl, right? Like pearly? Yes, it's like pearlescent and very shiny. Very not Harps vibe, but yeah, it's okay. I think ⁓ Sully's saying that he just brings up his knife and then throws it and then it just goes right into the candle at the end of the candelabra and splits it. I'm gonna reach over and there. I it's gonna be like it's gonna be like What what what what what what what what what what did Sully look like as a person? Armored long hair fucking fucked up like really weird like this like this Holy shit slowly stands up so slowly I just like picked the knife out. Say something only Soli would say. That newt sounded fucked up. It shouldn't have sounded like that if it was a god. I'm just saying that's bad. Or maybe just like Fawn knows like, ⁓ Sully. OK, sure. That could also happen to you. Either or. like both. ⁓ yeah, that's him. That's the guy. How did that happen? Do we just have to knock you out to turn you into not a frog? Is that what we needed to do? And I just like point at that guy. Well, maybe he's not at end of the table anymore. Yeah, just us three. Yeah. Just pointed where he was. A starina fox. Yeah. comes up and like nuzzles. ⁓ he likes you. You guys never got along as a frog and a fox before, but now look at you. Wow. Just toss the candle up. I need clothes. Yeah, yeah you do. Oh shit. I will rummage through my pack and I have spare clothes and I did keep the armor that I had previously. So I'll strip off the leather armor that Fern's mom gave me and I will put back on my half plate. Armor that I was wearing originally and I'll give you both of those. Thank you, and we will pretend that we were roughly the same size No, I'm huge This isn't gonna work. He's like six six six. It's like a crop top. Yeah. Yeah Booty shorts crop top leather like best like it is not Harp harp is Nope. Harp is not the biggest individual. And then I want to say like the doors open to where that red room is and then ⁓ the marionettes kind of come in and they have your sword, but they just like ⁓ made it sharp to a point, but it's still the same length. But you can see like in the center of it, there's like a vein of red. ⁓ I can add to that, as they hand it back to me, because I'm like, just give me the candelabra. Like, it's to be more useful. They hand it to me. And as they hand it to me, it is significantly heavier than I thought it was going to be. Like, you see my arm noticeably drop. And they hand me the shield. And at the front of the shield, there's a like. slit in the front of it and I can house the, forgive me not, into that little slit and when I do, the scintillating pinkish-white colors that were the dragon scale are now just red. And it's also kind of like a big like spread out, so then it's like, you can't walk straight somewhere without walking past some of the other things. ⁓ I do think that we are passing through a massive, massive graveyard. ⁓ And it is definitely, if you've ever seen pictures of like, of graveyards or cemeteries in New Orleans, because they can't bury people, it's the water table is too high, they, so everything is ⁓ the vaults above ground. Like mausoleums and stuff. I get the feeling that it's like that. That for some whatever reason they don't actually bury people. time they did it just came back to life because of the land. Oh, I like that. OK, I I enjoyed that a lot. But it is miles and miles of very close, very built up after. hundreds and thousands of years of generations of of graves. Damn. As we're walking through. I feel like the whispers that we heard on the river, they sort of return, but quieter, softer. Like whether it's like they're moving weird or there's some other like color about them, something. ⁓ They've definitely betrayed us to Cassandra. ⁓ shit. ⁓ So is it the path that we're leading is just covered in? In bodies, yeah. And we run. Again. Because all we need to do, we just need to get the egg to where it needs to go and this will all be fine if we can just keep running and just outpace her. We see the glow on the horizon, and it's not just like a magic glow, but it's the sunset. And it's almost like the darkness that had kept the nameless city in like a purpley lightning ⁓ cloud is behind us, but it's like we see this like sunset that's radiating and like beaming and it just feels like warmth on our faces. Like it hits the clouds that are overhead of us and it's like it almost feels like it's holding them back ⁓ And as the clouds are kind of like moving the lightnings going through it. It's just like that turns them into almost like fireworks it feels like ⁓ And then we see the trail ahead Which is kind of winding down ⁓ I Want to say like in the in the palace of silver we got him got kind of like a map It's only like it's like ⁓ you got to go through here It's like, ⁓ why didn't we get this from the beginning? This would have helped five weeks ago. Or you also have your crown that also is, maybe your crown that's beaming light. It almost like, it just like, from the magic glow, like we almost see the beam go like shoot down and like go through the valley. Yes, yes. It's leading us to where we need to go. We can still hear like the howls of the creatures that she can control and summon. ⁓ Her echo, her laugh is like thunderously echoing through the, through the sky. Yeah, we hear voices behind us. We hear her voice specifically. ⁓ I'm being erotic about it. Okay. We hear her voice behind us specifically mocking us. Like, you're not gonna make it in time. You might as well just give me the egg because I'm right on your tail. You're not going to do this. And Fawn, when she feels the glow of the sun on her face for the first time in weeks, she is almost completely transformed. so much more vigor and energy than she ever feel like she has ever had. And she just continues to fucking book it to that temple. She is running with everything. She's like, grabs your hand, grabs your hand. She's like, we are going for it and just books it. ⁓ And then something has to change. What changes? Or adds? Either change, add. Or take away. Add something. Scorpion grass. ⁓ And I think Harp starts to see figures in the glow and in the fog, not scary, almost like memories or ⁓ echoes of past heroes, of people of the past who wielded Forget Me Not. Ooh, that's beautiful. And they are urging us on our way, and they're pointing out... ⁓ places where we need to avoid, like where there's rocky ground, or there's a quicker path if we go this way that you don't really notice, or you can go this way and it'll hide you from the people on the road for a second on the path so that you can get ahead of them. But. I think even at this point, Harp doesn't accept that they are going to be in this glow eventually. That they are, they're not really the hero of Bartletown. It is still, it is still hard for them to. ⁓ get to that. Potentially. Potentially. ⁓ I will. As far as what to add or take away, do all of us do that or just the person who leads it? Like we are having to dodge like crossbow bolts and rocks that are being thrown and things are like jumping out at us and we're having to bat them away. As we reach that clearing I recognize it as the spot from my vision and harp will stop. as you keep, if the two of you stop at all to like say, what are you doing or anything like that. I wasn't the one that was called by the Magus. That was my father. But I'm still the one that's here. And this is why I'm here. And Harp will draw, forgive me not, and as they do, the blade continues to extend into this scintillating white and red and pink glow that lights up everything. And as they draw it, you can see the reflection of all of the... coming out of the trees and they begin to cringe away from it as Harp levels their shield, holds, ⁓ not forget me not, but scorpion grass, and gets into a stance to, just slamming things aside with the shield, cutting things in half, cuts off the arm of one of the nameless. Cursed Nameless now. The Cursed Nameless. is just where they were not a... They were very much like a very, very straightforward, brute-like fighter before. It is much more graceful. And it's much more... Beautiful? Beautiful. Hell yeah. It's a scene. I also want to add too, like maybe it's like you were the one that was carrying the egg. And then you pass it down. Yes. So then it's just like as we're going, we're setting up each other for success. Yeah. Also before this, like I will, my ring will turn to the Fox side, to the Hunter side. Which one? The evil. Cassandra Morgana. Cassandra Morgana is already in there. ⁓ fuck. And she's standing in front of where we need to place the egg. In fact, she actually broke the pedestal. We were distracted with all of her hordes, she's there now. So then it's you, me, and this egg. Sully is gonna then try and like, he grabs his dagger and it extends to a spear, and then he goes in to stab Cassandra, but as he's doing it, the blade just won't go in. And then you see all the text that was on the blade and on his body just start to light up. And then he starts cracking and his arms are like breaking and then she starts laughing and he starts to then grow and turn into a monster of the god of the frog god. What is the frog the god of? Did we decide that? Frog. like the visual of the gold. The god of hate. ⁓ shit. ⁓ And so the the spirit grows with him as he transforms into this creature he's screaming he doesn't want this to happen ⁓ in his mental Kind of playing where that water is He is now the one that's like like the chains are coming around him and like pulling him down But these ones are black and like they burn and like hold his spirit down. Yeah as this that golden frog inside of him is like growing, mutating, and it's losing its luster, and it's starting to also just look like black flame as he then like grows and his, his, ⁓ his, spirit turns and crooked into a scythe. and Cassandra laughing, as she does, she says, this was my destiny. You guys were the ones that just brought me the... You were the envelope that delivered my success. I have an idea. I need to percolate on it for a second. I also have an idea if I could interject a harp kind of into the scene. Please. Yeah, please. I think it would be good. As you're being pulled down in those chains, I'm still out there fighting. She takes out one of her metal arrows. She's. is about to shoot you at the last second, shoots Cassandra instead. I wanna say then, Cassandra does get hit. She does get hit. Let's go. But it's screaming. And the form of her slowly turns to wet clay and it starts falling apart. And I think you should roll. I'm scared. What's what's the Yeah, what do I want what do I want like on a five or six this actually does it or in a six this actually does it or both bad Everything's bad. Okay as a five five so the clay melts away and it's your mother what oh and again, we hear cackling and She was puppeting your mom and had a had a... ⁓ It was a decoy. It was a decoy. How bad did I just shoot my mom? Not bad. Not bad? Yeah. Okay, I immediately drop the arrows and I run to her and I'm like, ⁓ my God, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. What is happening? What is happening? What is happening? At this time, ⁓ Ezekiel is fully, fully... ⁓ transformed. He's in his mental space for sure fighting. And in fact, as he's like trying to pull himself up from these like fiery chains, like he feels like his whole body's on fire. And in fact, he is. Just like maybe the eyes change from glowing yellow to just like black. Yeah. And it's almost like the black flame is like coming through him. Like even like his where his scars were as this like creature like flame is like coming through it. and then just the scythe gets drawn back towards you. Okay, ⁓ I don't know what else to do except I'm gonna say I'm sorry, I'm sorry. There's I don't know what else to do and I will shoot solely with my metal arrows and hope that it does something. Do you wanna make something? Jump in on this too? I do, because what happened previously was it It through. It didn't kill it. It opened up windows into its being. I think when you shoot and it does hit, there's a flash of red light. ⁓ And you feel somebody push you down. The scythe goes over you, but Harp's not there. It's just something intervenes and forces you down to dodge the scythe. ⁓ from outside, every now and then, let's see, from your point of view, being tortured by Cassandra again, all of a you see Harp there in that space with you, taking a swing at Cassandra, forcing her back, and then Harp's gone. And then Harp is back outside fighting the Horde, but if you're watching them, every now and then they take a really weird swing at nothing, ⁓ as whatever their fighting spirit is. whatever ability that they have right now in this moment, they are transferring their fighting will into you to try to get you out of there while also trying to protect you. But it is costing them. I am going to see that the arrow kind of ripped a hole in you and I'm going to shoot more arrows. I'm going to try to burst open your hole. essence of being so that the real you can come back out. So I'm just loosing you with arrow after arrow after arrow. Yeah, exactly. And I think inside that mental space like you flickering like I'm starting like Ezekiel's like pulling through the flames are breaking and every time it breaks the the frog deities also break. So ⁓ we're kind of like bolstering each other. I also want to say maybe your ring gets a new adaptation where you're able to like enter this kind of like spiritual thing. What are the other gods? Crow was magic. Salamander light, bear warrior, elk, wilds, hare, small things, fox, the chase, fish, memory. I think it's the bear. Yeah, makes sense. I think the bear comes in and I'm now ⁓ able to protect more at once. So I have a bear mode on my ring. yeah. Hell yeah. Cool. Yeah. Let's go. As ⁓ this then evolves and I rip open, ⁓ I wanna say it is Ezekiel as a man, but he's just like almost like in a red aura and it is like the bear god like coming in from who knows where. I it was the bear god that gave you the arrows, wasn't it? It was a... I don't know if we ever established that. Yeah. Maybe, yeah. Yeah. Rick on it. Yeah, totally. Because it was a random merchant in Barleytown. Yeah. But it was after we just... Man, that... Were at a temple for... Yeah. ...the bear god. Maybe one of each of the gods gave us something where they couldn't act directly. Like, your arrows, the fox in the hair gave me my ring, the bear added to it. The salamander gave me the shield and the sword kind of the Circlit yeah, yeah, I love that. Yeah. ⁓ yeah chills ⁓ And then and ⁓ the Dagger that Ezekiel has always carried is still a spear but Bennett's red now ⁓ I want to say like somehow ⁓ Harp sees Cassandra in the field Okay. Like her physical body now. Yeah, it's her. ⁓ this point. If she's injured, would we like to say that her control over the things is dissipated? Yeah. So there's no more creatures. The corrupt Nameless are now slumped. Harp, not able to hold up the shield anymore because their arm is damaged, ⁓ begins just slowly dragging ⁓ Scorpion Grass along the ground, walking slowly. slowly to her. And I think Harp is going to say, don't move bitch. As they continue to just like stalk towards her. And you can see like the aura of the fox, of the hunt and the chase just like looming over Harp right now. I would like to add, since in this meadow we heard crickets. Maybe you hear foxes as well in the distance. foxes yipping. You hear foxes yipping. You hear, ⁓ even worse, ⁓ hares. Have you ever heard a rabbit scream? Worse. It's bad. Bad. So both. It's maddening. You hear like the popping ⁓ bears when they're angry will pop their jaws. Yep. Just echoing. Yep. Just all these critters. Creatures? Critters. All of them. just kind of coalescing around instead of like now, instead of this onslaught of enemies, it's like allies have now surrounded us instead. Yes. And I would say like, ⁓ Fawn and Zekiel are in the temple right now, but also your mother's there injured. Yeah. The threat seems to have subsided. Yeah. But now there's still no place to put the egg. I have an idea. ⁓ It requires a little bit of retconning. The egg is small. Shrunk. The egg Yeah, that's not too bad. Maybe when we go into the temple it shrinks, which again, would have been really helpful. Right. On brand. Fawn sees her mother is injured. Ezekiel is, who knows, probably not doing hot. Harp is literally. not able to even open or hold up scorpion grass, any of their things. And Fawn makes a really split-second executive decision, and she swallows the fucking egg. And she allows her body to become the new pedestal for the egg. And you just sit in the center? Yep. And I let whatever happens, happens. I kind of like the idea of it still being a big egg. a Scooby Doo level eating a Horrifying. And I'm not sure what happens. ⁓ I think... I don't know if this might be, I don't wanna make myself out to be like too badass. I think. Did you see what Harp was doing? True, true. I think the, okay, so she swallows the egg, and then I think this aura starts to surround her, and then I think there's like a shockwave that kind of just like explodes out, and Fawn collapses. as her body cannot handle the amount of magic that is now coursing through it. I think, ⁓ Zeke will just catch you. Okay. Yeah. Cool. she's still kind of passed out. and then she starts to change. and her limbs become longer, her nails become talons, as Fawn has. rebirthed the magic inside of her body. Hell yeah. Is that okay? Yeah. Hell yeah. What's happening in the field? I feel like there's the shockwave. There's like a ripple through the air and Cassandra looks visibly now, ⁓ no, like, and I'm standing between her and the... the temple. and I wanna say that she full, like, whatever spooky version of this is, she starts running for the temple. I'm going to roll. ⁓ God, scared. On. Okay, I'm gonna change something real quick. Harp is going to drop the shield. hold a ⁓ scorpion grass. And then he's going to step it or they're going to step in front of her and stab her like full just through the stomach. I'm going to roll to see if she stabs me too. No, please don't. Don't do that. To see if this is mutual destruction. No. If anything happens to Harp, I will not be okay. What is the likelihood that she also gets me? I'm thinking that on a four, five or six. Half? Half, yeah. I think four, five or six is fine. Three or two, you are stabbed but are okay. On a one, you don't die, because I will not allow that. I will X-Card that. Let the man die. You're horribly wounded. Let me die. Okay. Okay. Okay. As she runs, she tries to move past me. And I think she actually does. She runs past me and Harp, looking very bedraggled, ⁓ very hardly conscious. ⁓ As they run past, there's this one sweeping movement of just a almost perfect pirouette. like extremely graceful and there's a flash of red. Cassandra stops and as she stops, her head slowly slides off. Let's go. And you see Hark standing behind her ⁓ holding, forget me not, or holding ⁓ a scorpion grass, drops it and just collapses into the dirt. I think. ⁓ If it's okay that Harp is the one that kills Cassandra. ⁓ yeah, that's all fine. I don't think it was possible for... Right, right. ...for my character to do so. ⁓ As that happens, the glyphs on Ezekiel's body, ⁓ they're starting to fade, but they actually are culminating up his side and into his mind. ⁓ Maybe his ears. Mind. ⁓ And then he just... As he's holding ⁓ Fawn, as she's transforming, he's like, this is what I was born to do. And he stabs her in the chest. ⁓ Oh no. Oh no. We should roll to see if it's fatal or not, or if her mom stops it saves her. Maybe I get stabbed. Okay. Okay. I, okay, I'm gonna roll for something. Okay. One, no one's dying. One, horribly wounded. Two, three, sorta wounded, but conscious. And then? Four, five, six. Mom saves you. Something else happens. Three. Wounded. Wounded. I need saving. I don't know what to do. I wanna say, as I go for the stab, maybe your mom wraps herself around me. She is big. She is big. She is big. And me back, so then maybe I just don't get a kill shot. Okay. But the dagger itself piercing you breaks my curse. So, okay, so you get me with it, which breaks your curse. being wounded, my eyes kind of glaze over and the magic completely takes over. Like, it is not fawn anymore, it is the magus. And I think there's just like another huge shockwave as this magic pours out of her. Maybe it's like actually pouring out of her in these like rivers of just like pure, etheric magic. Like a glow. Like a glow. Like a glow. Internet, can't see this. It says the glow on this part. This is the location that we are. We're in the glow. We're in the glow. The glow gets glowier. The glow gets glowier. It'll glow you. The clouds. Yes, everything, there's like, it zooms out and the glow just kind of like encapsulates the world and kind of just like pushes. the darkness back, the fog back, everything kind of just like is encapsulated in this glow as Fawn is just kind of pouring out of her. Can I add something? Please. So like as this glow is happening, like we see little vignettes of all the places that we've been to. Yeah. Your dad is in the trees with his quails. Yep. As the fog lifts, the gray rangers like come out of the water. Yep. ⁓ the witches are dissipated in the catfish surfaces for a second. The mayor of Barleytown is on top of his boxes. He grows four feet. Where though? In which direction? Wide. ⁓ Yeah, maybe it's just like Barleytown was still under siege, like those creatures keep coming, but then they become docile. the, where we all started. The Hanging City. ⁓ It's just a rave. There's just, there's a party in. Yeah, like everybody was somehow saved by the axolotl, and it's just 24-7 club. Let's go, let's go. And as Fawn kind of, she's like levitating, as she kind of like comes back to earth and kind of like lays back down on the ground, your curse is broken. You're alive. Cassandra is dead. Maybe the Nameless like pick you up. their creature being that's controlling them saves you. And carries me into the temple. Yes. Which means I can be in here. Yes, we're all together again. Hey, good flip. I flipped too, why not? Whoa! Oh yeah, I that. Yep, as Fawn becomes the new Magus and Magus, or magic returns to the world looking a little bit different than it did before. technically the old magic did fall. It did. Yeah, the old magic did fall because this is the first time that a mortal has correctly absorbed the magic of a demigod in a way that's not twisted and corrupted. You just had to eat it. You just had to eat it. You just gotta eat the god. Eat the egg. Didn't fry it, did nothing. Just like crack, pour it on a pan. Egg, shell and everything. Shell and all. ⁓ And that's shell and all. And that shall end all. ⁓ As a little prologue. Epilogue? Epilogue. Yeah, the other one. The other end. We're gonna go all the way back to the beginning. You do stop yourself right as you stab, that's when the explosion of magic throws you off. You have enough control to be like, the thing I'm supposed to do is just stab, not kill, stab. Hell yeah, I like that way better. There's a fault in the magic. Yep, loophole. Fawn? runs Raven Hall. She doesn't know how she feels about it, even after a year. She's not exactly as kind or patient ⁓ as the Magus was. Still trying to make people flinch. Favorite thing to do. fierce. I imagine also like on these paths, like in front of the castle, we just see your dad riding a quail. Big quail. Big quail. The whole family has moved into Raven Hall. They've left their home in the Mistwood. It's chaos. It is chaos out here, Tom. There are animals all over the place. It is a shit show, but you know what? The magic is back so no one can complain. I think also just in general maybe people are just happier. Like Raven Hall seemed like a very isolated place, but now it's like... It's vibrant. Yeah, it's vibrant. It's happy. It's good. I like to think that it's also now a place for all of the deities. Not just the Magus. Everyone has a seat at the table. Yeah. because was kind of all, most of the deities came together to... That seems like a lesson that we should have learned. The deities need to actually work together, Please. Maybe that's what Vaan instills, because she was so dedicated to She was so dedicated to the Magus, yeah. And then met all these other demigods and learned all about them, and she's like, that's dumb, actually. Especially now that I'm the Magus, I can't be the only one. That's stupid. Could you imagine? Just me. No, we're not doing that. Everyone, on. We're all doing this together. Except for Nia was like, nah, I like it down here. Nia was like, I'm chilling, actually. We this here in the background. I thought you were going to do the voice again. That's called the deep way. The deep way. And the azimuth. And I will continue to rave. ⁓ No, that's not my problem Game game ⁓ game game Wow guys we did it We saved the world. It was not easy No, I love that. I love that about the story was that it was not easy No, I had no idea until like the 11th hour how that was gonna turn out and even then I was like, ⁓ Maybe you saved them You all saved me. I Did save both? ⁓ I did I did I I did I did almost I trying to keep you to a life. Yeah, you did damn That was really fucking cool That was great. You ascended to godhood. Just to piss you off. And I can't do anything about it because you're a demigod. And like what's the mayor like now? He's just like, ⁓ I knew Harp when he was just no taller than grass. Yeah, probably. ⁓ my god. There's a... I did commission that a statue is erected for my father. Yes. ⁓ In the area where he fell. Yeah, do you still carry, forget, or... I do. think I do carry scorpion grass, but I think I also commissioned a reforging of Forget Me Not to be held in Bartley Town for the next hero. ⁓ that's so sweet. Good legacy. Yeah. I think... ⁓ Ezekiel would probably just be like trying to figure out himself. He's been tortured and like mutilated his whole life and now he gets to live now He gets to live. He's just he's just in the wind. He always has a spot in Raven Hall Yeah, I feel like Harp will try to check in on you anytime they can. Yeah Love this. This is a great story. This was wild. This was way more intense than I was ever expecting it to be. Last session we had a dance party. This is true. Yeah. We played I Need a Hero. Yeah, that's fair. That's amazing. Well, thank you both for your amazing skills in this game and for being so... Awesome and cool. We told a really fucking cool story. This was amazing. This is awesome. Highly recommend.
