Thierry Bernard studied politics, economics and international affairs at Sciences Po, LSE, the College of Europe and Harvard. Not one science qualification. The last time he did biology he was 18, sat in a school exam.
He's since lived and worked in Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Singapore, China and the US, chaired AdvaMed Dx, was appointed one of the French government's official trade advisors, and for the last seven years has been CEO of QIAGEN, one of the biggest diagnostics companies in the world.
