- 0:56Speaker 2: Yes? Because this week marks the twentieth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina,
- 1:03Speaker 2: so that it does. So we're going to do a
- 1:05Speaker 2: horrific crime that happened after Hurricane Katrina.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I Bury her horrific crime.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yes, straight from a horror movie anyway. So we're gonna

- 1:58Speaker 2: we record the podcast, and I'm always referring to things
- 2:02Speaker 2: I said in the podcast and.
- 2:04Speaker 3: So and then it comes out before.
- 2:07Speaker 2: The podcast, and then it's confusing for Everybody's confusing for me.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah, so you know I easily get confused.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yes, you're a simple person.
- 2:17Speaker 3: What.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So we're going to be covering the Zach and Addy
- 2:21Speaker 2: case out of Louisiana. So I don't know if you've
- 2:23Speaker 2: heard of it or not, but it is quite the
- 2:27Speaker 2: story that it is.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yes, and yes, it has been done a couple of
- 2:33Speaker 3: times on different podcasts, I believe.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't feel like I feel like it's
- 2:38Speaker 2: there's a couple of shows about it. ABC had one
- 2:41Speaker 2: called Final Witness, but they don't have it on that
- 2:43Speaker 2: show on the air, Like you can't even get it
- 2:46Speaker 2: on Hulu or anything. So there's and there was a
- 2:48Speaker 2: documentary done about it. However you can't get that either.
- 2:51Speaker 3: So it's right, it's the documentary.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I think the problem behind No, it's not no, he
- 2:57Speaker 2: just he made a documentary about it, and then just
- 3:00Speaker 2: it's not available. I don't know. Some guy, some guy
- 3:05Speaker 2: made a documentary about it. You can't get it anywhere.
- 3:07Speaker 2: He's got a website, it doesn't go to anything. You
- 3:11Speaker 2: can't get this documentary. I don't know. I feel like
- 3:13Speaker 2: it's very disturbing. So I think it's just too disturbing
- 3:16Speaker 2: for Dateline.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I don't want to touch it. No, but did didn't they?
- 3:23Speaker 2: I don't think so. But he's like main He's like
- 3:26Speaker 2: main mainstream at this point, this is Dahmer esque, you know. Yes, anyway,
- 3:34Speaker 2: so not full on da Stu had his own horror
- 3:38Speaker 2: show tonight because I was telling him. I was like, yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 2: so work provides lunch for us, so today I went over.
- 3:45Speaker 2: So one of our office has food trucks, the other
- 3:48Speaker 2: one has like it has the kitchen that's in the building.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So I was like, I'm tired of the food that
- 3:53Speaker 2: they cook at the kitchen or whatever. So I was like,
- 3:55Speaker 2: I'm going over the food truck and have lunch with
- 3:57Speaker 2: one of my friends that works at the other office.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I know, shocker, yes. So I go over there and
- 4:05Speaker 2: this the dessert this time was a Snickers ice cream bar,
- 4:08Speaker 2: and I'm like, Okay, that's weird because normally they give
- 4:10Speaker 2: you something that carries are like that you can like
- 4:13Speaker 2: that you don't need a refrigerator for or whatever. But
- 4:16Speaker 2: I was like, they're like, you want it. I was like, yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 2: I'll get it. You know, maybe i'll finish my lunch
- 4:20Speaker 2: then I'll eat it first, so or eat it real quick. Well,
- 4:23Speaker 2: I got to chit chat with her, so it's sitting
- 4:24Speaker 2: over there, and so it starts melting. So I tell
- 4:26Speaker 2: her when I'm like, oh my god, I was like,
- 4:27Speaker 2: I forgot about my Snickers ice cream bar. I said,
- 4:30Speaker 2: it's melt over. She's like, oh, it'll be fun. I'm like, no,
- 4:32Speaker 2: it's an ice cream I show Oh. She's like, well,
- 4:34Speaker 2: here's a paper towel.
- 4:35Speaker 3: She's like, just eat it in paper towel.
- 4:39Speaker 2: That's how you when you asked how the paper towel
- 4:42Speaker 2: ended up there. So she's like, here, take this paper
- 4:44Speaker 2: towel and everything that. So I'm like, I get in
- 4:46Speaker 2: the car, I'm like, no, I don't. I'm not gonna
- 4:47Speaker 2: try to eat this or whatever this is. I'm like, man,
- 4:49Speaker 2: I haven't a Snickers ice bar forever. So it is
- 4:52Speaker 2: like pretty squishy. Well I open up immediately, I'm like, okay,
- 4:54Speaker 2: I can't eat this or whatever. So I was going
- 4:57Speaker 2: to a doctor's appointment, so I wrap it in the
- 4:59Speaker 2: paper towel and I'm like, I'm gonna throw it away
- 5:01Speaker 2: when I go into the doctor's office.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 5:04Speaker 2: But I forgot about that, Yes, So I laid it
- 5:07Speaker 2: there in the paper.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Towel on the car seat.
- 5:10Speaker 2: No, and not on the car seat, it was on
- 5:12Speaker 2: the console area. It would have been real nightmare to
- 5:14Speaker 2: clean up down there in my car. This is also
- 5:18Speaker 2: in my RAB four that's got hell damage, so it's
- 5:20Speaker 2: not like it's in the fancy Toyota CN. Okay. Well anyway,
- 5:24Speaker 2: so I go about my day completely forgot about it
- 5:27Speaker 2: until like just a while ago, and so it's late
- 5:31Speaker 2: and so I was like, oh my, so I'm telling this.
- 5:33Speaker 2: So I'm like, oh my god, I forgot to throw
- 5:34Speaker 2: away and he's like, where's it out in the car?
- 5:36Speaker 2: I said, well, come outside with me because I'm scared
- 5:39Speaker 2: and because you don't want to get murdered in this
- 5:42Speaker 2: neighborhood anyway, so we go outside. Thankfully it had leaked,
- 5:46Speaker 2: but the paper towel caught a lot of it. But
- 5:49Speaker 2: that's all. He's like, you have it in a paper towel.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I'm like yeah. So I was like, oh, I'll tell
- 5:53Speaker 2: you about it whenever. So that's how I ended up
- 5:55Speaker 2: in the paper towel.
- 5:56Speaker 3: That's a terrible story. You should have taken the paper
- 5:59Speaker 3: town thrown in trash can before he even went to
- 6:02Speaker 3: a doctor's appointment.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Well, I should have never opened it, but I had
- 6:05Speaker 2: a high hopes. I was like, maybe the chocolatey part
- 6:09Speaker 2: is just containing the ice cream portion, but it was not. Anyways,
- 6:15Speaker 2: that's the story.
- 6:16Speaker 3: You're in Midland, Texas.
- 6:18Speaker 2: That's the other thing. It's hot here, so anyways, and
- 6:22Speaker 2: then I was also going to tell everybody if you
- 6:25Speaker 2: are partaking in Starbucks seasonal items because PSL seasons officially
- 6:32Speaker 2: started yesterday. It's got a season, yes, However, it is
- 6:37Speaker 2: like one hundred degrees here still, so and I wasn't
- 6:39Speaker 2: feeling very pumpkiny in that weather. But they do have
- 6:42Speaker 2: an iced pecan crunch oat milk espresso or something like that,
- 6:47Speaker 2: and it's like ten out of ten, so one hundred percent.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Go try that one if you're not in the mood
- 6:53Speaker 2: for pumpkin flavors. To celebrate, you know, celebrate what Taylor
- 6:59Speaker 2: Swift getting a gay and a new album.
- 7:01Speaker 3: So twenty years since Katrina, Yes.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Twenty years since Katrina. Anyways, all right, so let's go
- 7:06Speaker 2: ahead and get into this week's episode out of Louisiana.
- 7:11Speaker 2: So this one's gonna be a little bit different. We're
- 7:12Speaker 2: just gonna kind of tell you the story, Stu. I
- 7:16Speaker 2: know the other ones we tell the story, but I feel.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Like this one's kind of how is that different from
- 7:20Speaker 3: any other time?
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah? So all right, so we start with We're gonna
- 7:24Speaker 2: start with Zach Bowen, who moved to Louisiana.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yes, I have questions about that.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yes, they they he moved to Louisiana in nineteen ninety
- 7:38Speaker 2: five around at the.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Road trip with his dad. They stopped in New Orleans,
- 7:43Speaker 3: of course, so was that what they said? Yeah, that's
- 7:44Speaker 3: what they were saying. They stopped in New Orleans. His
- 7:46Speaker 3: dad's like, okay, let's go son, and he's like, eh,
- 7:49Speaker 3: I'm gonna stay here.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah, he was seventeen at the time. I guess he
- 7:52Speaker 2: just really liked the New Orleans lifestyle. Did they say
- 7:57Speaker 2: where he was from?
- 8:00Speaker 3: I don't recall.
- 8:01Speaker 2: I feel like I I feel like I wrote that
- 8:04Speaker 2: down somewhere. But then, okay, we'll circle back because I
- 8:06Speaker 2: feel like I wrote this down, so when you're talking,
- 8:09Speaker 2: I'll look it up. Anyways, So they go on a
- 8:12Speaker 2: road trip I guess, to New Orleans with his dad.
- 8:13Speaker 2: His dad heads back and he's like, I'm staying there.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I guess he was seventeen.
- 8:16Speaker 3: They're like, yeah, but they can do whatever he wants. Yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 3: so well he's well dad wasn't in the show, so.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but his mom seemed pretty normal.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Yeah, his mom was in it, but I don't know
- 8:27Speaker 3: why dad wasn't in it. Talks me maybe.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Dad's he just dropped his entire family, Like he might have.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Kept on going to Florida, I don't know, or gone
- 8:35Speaker 3: to California. I don't know which way he was going.
- 8:38Speaker 2: All right, So Zach he during this time, he met
- 8:41Speaker 2: a woman named Lona and they started a relationship. Well,
- 8:44Speaker 2: she becomes pregnant pretty quickly, and that's when he reveals
- 8:48Speaker 2: to her that he is only seventeen years old and
- 8:50Speaker 2: she is twenty seven. So I don't think in Louisiana
- 8:53Speaker 2: that's statutory.
- 8:55Speaker 3: No, I think you can get married at seventeen, maybe
- 8:58Speaker 3: even six.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Louisiana is like a Lucy Gus. They're a little loose
- 9:03Speaker 2: down there with those laws. Oklahoma, louis I mean Oklahoma.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I think you can marry like a cousin or something.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Sacks a little loose maybe first, I don't know.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yep. So she tells him that she's going to keep
- 9:14Speaker 2: the baby and that it's his decision what he wants
- 9:18Speaker 2: to do with it, or do with his involvement or whatever.
- 9:21Speaker 2: But she's going forward with the pregnancy. Well, he decides
- 9:26Speaker 2: he's going to be in the baby's life and he
- 9:29Speaker 2: wants to start a family. So he proposes to Lana,
- 9:32Speaker 2: and at this point in time, they've had the child.
- 9:35Speaker 2: He's nineteen and she's twenty eight. Now, by May of
- 9:39Speaker 2: two thousand, Zack and Launa had another child and they're
- 9:43Speaker 2: needing to pay the bills, So Zach decides to join
- 9:47Speaker 2: the military. Now, after returning from deployment, Zach had a
- 9:51Speaker 2: complete personality change, and this was most likely due to
- 9:54Speaker 2: his service in the military and what he saw was
- 9:58Speaker 2: exposed to during that time.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Yeah, they said that he befriended a little Iraqi kid
- 10:05Speaker 3: and the Taliban found out. So not only did they
- 10:08Speaker 3: kill the little boy, they just wiped out the entire family.
- 10:11Speaker 3: And he found out about that.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and then he you know, like he had a
- 10:16Speaker 2: best friend that was hit by a I think IUD
- 10:19Speaker 2: or something right.
- 10:20Speaker 3: By ied I not an IUD. He might have been
- 10:24Speaker 3: hit by an IUD at some point in his life.
- 10:27Speaker 2: A felled iu D anyways, an ied whatever. Anyway, So
- 10:32Speaker 2: he's And also they said his mom was pretty shocked
- 10:36Speaker 2: that he joined the military because this was not he was.
- 10:38Speaker 3: She was crying that he got married to a woman
- 10:40Speaker 3: ten years older than him.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Well, yeah, she was upset that he was. I have
- 10:45Speaker 2: questions about the mother, Okay, I have fun.
- 10:47Speaker 3: She seemed a little calm.
- 10:48Speaker 2: No, she seemed a little hyper focused on her son
- 10:52Speaker 2: and not the fact that he created a human or
- 10:55Speaker 2: two and didn't really seem to care about them. But Anyways,
- 10:58Speaker 2: we'll get into that later. But I mean, yes, he
- 11:02Speaker 2: but the fact is he was seventeen. He did get
- 11:05Speaker 2: someone pregnant. So no matter his age, he needs to
- 11:08Speaker 2: take responsibility and support the child. That's his problem that
- 11:12Speaker 2: he wanted to fuck around and find out at seventeen
- 11:16Speaker 2: quite literally. Anyways, So what was I saying? Oh, she
- 11:23Speaker 2: was saying that him joined the military was like completely
- 11:26Speaker 2: out of left field. This was not like on his
- 11:28Speaker 2: he wanted to be an English teacher, Like that's his
- 11:30Speaker 2: more of his demeanor than say, being wanting to join
- 11:33Speaker 2: the military.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Yeah. Well he was like, hey, I got to get
- 11:36Speaker 3: some money. I got some health care for these kids
- 11:38Speaker 3: and the wife and this, that and the other side.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so he was trying to take responsibility and this
- 11:42Speaker 2: was out of necessity that he needed to join the
- 11:44Speaker 2: military to provide for his family. So whenever he returns
- 11:50Speaker 2: from Iraq, him and Laana began having problems and they
- 11:53Speaker 2: did eventually split and divorce. Now, during this time, Zach
- 11:57Speaker 2: is still done with his untreated PTSD from his time
- 12:01Speaker 2: in Iraq. However, he did not talk about it with anybody.
- 12:04Speaker 2: This was all kept to himself. He didn't really see
- 12:08Speaker 2: he struggling. He just kind of used other things like
- 12:11Speaker 2: alcohol to cope with.
- 12:13Speaker 3: His pills, alcohol or whatever. I'm not even sure how
- 12:16Speaker 3: we got the story out of him about the Iraqi boy,
- 12:19Speaker 3: unless it was the buddy said something about it.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it might have been because he kept they said,
- 12:23Speaker 2: he kind of kept like a jovial personality even when
- 12:26Speaker 2: he after he came back, but it was all kind
- 12:28Speaker 2: of a mask.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Yeah, he kept everything real close to the vesta, according
- 12:32Speaker 3: to what they were saying. Now, by the summer of
- 12:34Speaker 3: two thousand and five, Zach was working the overnight shift
- 12:37Speaker 3: at the bar in the quarter.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Now there is an overnight shift because the bars in
- 12:44Speaker 2: the French Quarter stay open until like four or five. Yes,
- 12:48Speaker 2: we're starting a new day, you know, so there is
- 12:50Speaker 2: an overnight crowd.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yeah. I think they just closed long enough to clean
- 12:54Speaker 3: the puke and pay.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Well. They have to close legally. I think I've read
- 12:58Speaker 2: this before. They have to close legally for like an
- 13:00Speaker 2: hour or two. It's like two hours or something. They
- 13:03Speaker 2: have to legally close and to reopen, so they're at
- 13:06Speaker 2: the they run that requirement. That's it.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you got to clean the bar at
- 13:11Speaker 3: some point. Anyway, he did very well with the customers,
- 13:15Speaker 3: especially the ladies, and they liked him because he do
- 13:18Speaker 3: these cheesy little magic tricks and he was very charismatic,
- 13:22Speaker 3: just as myself. Now, this is where he met Addie Hall.
- 13:27Speaker 2: What do you really want to compare yourself to him?
- 13:29Speaker 3: Stewards and charisma, Yeah, I'm charismatic. Addie worked the shift
- 13:35Speaker 3: after him, so she would come in, they would interact,
- 13:38Speaker 3: and they quickly fell for each other. Kara, Addie had
- 13:43Speaker 3: a very different personality than Zach. She was a free spirit,
- 13:46Speaker 3: bohemian type of personality. She taught dance lessons, she wrote poetry,
- 13:53Speaker 3: and she lived the lifestyle of the bohemian loves to
- 13:58Speaker 3: travel type stuff.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't. Well, I take it back. I wrote
- 14:02Speaker 2: that they Some people said they fail for each other instantly,
- 14:07Speaker 2: but then come to find out it did take her
- 14:10Speaker 2: a little bit of time.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Yeah, he had to work on her.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he had to work her down a little bit.
- 14:14Speaker 2: But once they did fall, they get to that point they.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Were madly in love.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Now, one of the original reasons she wasn't initially interested
- 14:24Speaker 3: in Zach was because he had been in the military
- 14:26Speaker 3: and she didn't think that she would fall for the
- 14:29Speaker 3: type of guy that would be in the military. But
- 14:32Speaker 3: the one thing that they did share was their love
- 14:34Speaker 3: of alcohol and drugs. Zach was telling everybody in his
- 14:38Speaker 3: life that he had met the love of his life
- 14:40Speaker 3: and that they were soulmates. However, Zach was hiding things
- 14:43Speaker 3: for Maddie, such as he didn't tell her about his
- 14:47Speaker 3: wife and children or previous wife and children, so he
- 14:51Speaker 3: was already beginning to hide things from her. By the
- 14:54Speaker 3: time she found out about his previous life, she was
- 14:56Speaker 3: already in love with him, and so she decided to
- 14:59Speaker 3: stay with him despite him basically lying to her or
- 15:03Speaker 3: through omission about the ex wife and.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Children lying through a mission. I also want to say
- 15:12Speaker 2: so just about Addie, she also had the reason she
- 15:16Speaker 2: was using her drink a lot and things like that
- 15:19Speaker 2: because she was severely sexually abused as a child. She's
- 15:22Speaker 2: from North Carolina. She went through all sorts of trauma
- 15:26Speaker 2: in her childhood, and that's how she end up in
- 15:28Speaker 2: New Orleans. She's trying to run away from this life
- 15:30Speaker 2: and start over, and so she's naturally.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Going to probably self medicate.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Self medicate, and then seek out what ends up being
- 15:39Speaker 2: someone like Zach, because that's just kind of like they're
- 15:44Speaker 2: repeating that cycle or whatever.
- 15:46Speaker 3: So they just fall into this codependent relationship.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah, because they're both He's got PTSD that he's not
- 15:52Speaker 2: dealing with, she's got childhood trauma that she's not dealing with.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And their way that they're masking it is with alcohol.
- 15:59Speaker 2: So as you can imagine and things go, it's perfect.
- 16:02Speaker 2: It's a perfect storm, as was Hurricane Katrina. So as
- 16:06Speaker 2: would say, yes, in August of two thousand and five,
- 16:10Speaker 2: Hurricane Katrina was barreling towards Louisiana. Now at this point,
- 16:14Speaker 2: Lana had contacted Zach because it's we just watched the
- 16:19Speaker 2: Netflix documentary on Hurricane Katrina, and we watched the one
- 16:23Speaker 2: on I want to say it was National Geographic on
- 16:27Speaker 2: the Hurricane Katrina.
- 16:28Speaker 3: I think it was that I liked that one better
- 16:30Speaker 3: than the Netflix one.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Well, the other one was longer. I feel like it
- 16:35Speaker 2: went more into detail anyway, So Hurricane Katrina was just briefly,
- 16:42Speaker 2: if you're not familiar, in two thousand and five, it's
- 16:45Speaker 2: coming towards Louisiana. Apparently it made landfall in Florida as
- 16:50Speaker 2: a Cat one, but then re entered the Gulf. In
- 16:53Speaker 2: that warm water gain. Yeah, so it got up to
- 16:56Speaker 2: a Cat five and then that's when they're like literally
- 17:00Speaker 2: like twelve hours before it's supposed to make landfall. They're
- 17:02Speaker 2: like anatory evacuations. Well, what they happened was you have
- 17:06Speaker 2: a bunch of people that look New Orleans is one
- 17:09Speaker 2: of those places a few places in the United States
- 17:11Speaker 2: that you can get away with not having a vehicle.
- 17:14Speaker 2: They have public transportation, there's a lot of things, especially
- 17:18Speaker 2: if you live in the French Quarter or something, a
- 17:20Speaker 2: lot of it's walking it. Even those neighbor the neighborhoods
- 17:22Speaker 2: like in the Lower ninth ward, those those neighborhoods, they
- 17:25Speaker 2: are within walking distance to a grocery store. A lot
- 17:28Speaker 2: of people got around on bikes, so you didn't actually
- 17:30Speaker 2: need a car. And then on top of that, Louisiana
- 17:33Speaker 2: in general is poor, but parts of New Orleans are
- 17:36Speaker 2: very poor. So then you have people that don't have
- 17:38Speaker 2: the means to just call up and be like, Hey,
- 17:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna go out and save me a hotel room
- 17:45Speaker 2: up in this town. I'm gonna you know, here's my
- 17:47Speaker 2: credit card. I'll be there in a couple hours. Like
- 17:50Speaker 2: they didn't have that option, so they a lot of
- 17:51Speaker 2: those people in those lower wards they stayed to ride out.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Not to mention also, oh yes they had a mandatory evacuation.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Yes it was done too late. But unless you've lit
- 18:06Speaker 2: it sounds bad if you haven't been in an area
- 18:09Speaker 2: that has hurricanes. But hurricanes are pretty much like a
- 18:13Speaker 2: diamond dozen. Like, no, if you live in Luise, like
- 18:16Speaker 2: on the coastline, there's a hurricane and it's always the
- 18:19Speaker 2: worst one and it's always coming to.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Take you out and before.
- 18:23Speaker 2: And it never happens. So then you evacuate, and then
- 18:26Speaker 2: then nothing happens, and then works like why the fuck
- 18:29Speaker 2: aren't you here because I evacuated, Yeah, so I understand
- 18:32Speaker 2: where they're coming. And then also they said another factor
- 18:35Speaker 2: was because of the finances. It was the end of
- 18:37Speaker 2: the month and nobody had any money. I mean like
- 18:39Speaker 2: you hadn't got paid yet for your to get gas
- 18:42Speaker 2: money and stuff. And then even when they got in
- 18:43Speaker 2: the car, the lines were so long they were running
- 18:46Speaker 2: out of gas on the Anyways, watch some of those
- 18:52Speaker 2: documentaries because it was it's horrific what you see what
- 18:56Speaker 2: everybody went through. But where Zach and Addie were so
- 18:59Speaker 2: probably you would think like the French Quarter. They didn't
- 19:03Speaker 2: actually get flooded.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I mean, the water came up, but it didn't get
- 19:06Speaker 3: flooded flooded, No.
- 19:07Speaker 2: They had the water receded quickly and they were just
- 19:09Speaker 2: basically without you know, electricity and things like that. But
- 19:14Speaker 2: we'll get into that. So anyway, so that's kind of
- 19:15Speaker 2: a little bit about Hurricane Katrina. Oh and the other
- 19:18Speaker 2: big thing was because the hurricane actually came in as
- 19:20Speaker 2: a category three and it wasn't too like the winds
- 19:22Speaker 2: were high and everything like that. But why are you
- 19:26Speaker 2: looking at me?
- 19:29Speaker 3: You're sitting in front. Ok.
- 19:31Speaker 2: It came in as a category three, but the still
- 19:33Speaker 2: the winds were like one hundred and fifty miles per hour.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And then if you're familiar with hurricanes, there's a good
- 19:39Speaker 2: side of the storm and a bad side of the storm.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Yeah, rotates in a counterclockwise direction, so anyway, so.
- 19:45Speaker 2: They are getting gust of wind one hundred and fifty
- 19:47Speaker 2: miles per hour. It's ripping off.
- 19:49Speaker 3: The super dome. They actually got lucky because the eyewall
- 19:53Speaker 3: was supposed to pass right over New Orleans, but then
- 19:56Speaker 3: it jogged to the right a little bit toward the
- 19:59Speaker 3: land mass between New Orleans and mobile as they said
- 20:02Speaker 3: on the name they called, which is Gulf Port Biloxi, which.
- 20:06Speaker 2: They got completely ripped apart, like no one even but
- 20:09Speaker 2: no Orleans was so bad that that loss, so they
- 20:12Speaker 2: didn't get as much attention. But that completely like leveled
- 20:15Speaker 2: that whole entire area. And that's a real popular area
- 20:17Speaker 2: down yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Past Christian all the way to what Waveling Biloxi all that.
- 20:23Speaker 3: It was pretty much a lot of those houses were
- 20:25Speaker 3: just pick clean right off the beach, just swept away.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but the real problem was to that the hurricane passes.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Oh that's what I was gonna say. So it jog
- 20:34Speaker 3: left so that I didn't pass over them. So they
- 20:36Speaker 3: were on the left hand side of the storm. So
- 20:38Speaker 3: they got the wind as it came around, so as
- 20:40Speaker 3: it as it slowed down coming around as what, but it.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Was still one hundred and fifty miles per hour wind
- 20:47Speaker 2: gusts things like that ripped out windows off, you know,
- 20:51Speaker 2: the roof off the superdome all this stuff.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Anyways, Yeah, out all the windows in the hotel room.
- 20:56Speaker 2: So anyway, so they're they're making it through this. They
- 20:58Speaker 2: get through the hurricane and then that's when it everybody
- 21:00Speaker 2: was like, oh, we made it, like you know, everybody's okay.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Then the levees breached and then that's when it all
- 21:06Speaker 2: went fucking downhill. Yes, So anyway, so that's the big
- 21:10Speaker 2: part of it. They would have been fine with just
- 21:12Speaker 2: the hurricane. They could have been They would have been fine.
- 21:15Speaker 2: It would have been like they were actually right about
- 21:16Speaker 2: not evacuating because they actually were fine, you know, with
- 21:20Speaker 2: that hurricane that it was bad, But yeah, it wasn't
- 21:24Speaker 2: traumatic or I mean, it wasn't like just like this
- 21:26Speaker 2: horrific storm that ripped through everything, like Hurricane Harvey that
- 21:30Speaker 2: came and just dumped rain. That was the hurricane did
- 21:33Speaker 2: that this. It was the levees breaching that did the
- 21:36Speaker 2: most damage. So anyway, So at this point, like I said, Lana,
- 21:41Speaker 2: she's contacted Zach. She didn't have a vehicle to evacuate
- 21:44Speaker 2: with their children, so she asked him if he would
- 21:46Speaker 2: help her or at least come over there and be
- 21:49Speaker 2: with them to ride out the storm.
- 21:50Speaker 3: So, like a good dad, no with his girlfriend.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Because she was just afraid. You know, she's worried about
- 21:58Speaker 2: she's got these two small children. You know, she's just
- 22:01Speaker 2: stressed out as you know, it wasn't like a thing like, oh,
- 22:04Speaker 2: come over because I'm trying to steal your man back
- 22:06Speaker 2: or whatever. She was concerned about her children. I'm sure
- 22:09Speaker 2: her children would have been comforted having their father with
- 22:13Speaker 2: them while these wind is coming through and everything at that. Now,
- 22:17Speaker 2: during this time, Addie was freaking out about the storm,
- 22:19Speaker 2: and she was very scared and she didn't want Zach
- 22:21Speaker 2: to leave her and go with his ex wife and children.
- 22:24Speaker 2: So Zach chose to stay with Addie. Well, they decide
- 22:28Speaker 2: to write out the storm in the French Quarter.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Yeah, as Kara said, the Katrina hits New Orleans, devastates
- 22:35Speaker 3: the city. However, the French Quarter it's higher ground. The
- 22:39Speaker 3: Central Business District they called the CBD. It's it's higher ground,
- 22:44Speaker 3: so the levees breaking doesn't really get to there. They
- 22:48Speaker 3: do have pumps in the city that pumps water out
- 22:50Speaker 3: if it gets too high. Some of the pumps were down. Actually,
- 22:53Speaker 3: I don't even think they got the pumps fixed until
- 22:55Speaker 3: like the last two years that there hundred No, yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 3: they were because they were a misman in seen lots
- 23:00Speaker 3: of money.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Yes, everybody that is in charge of New Orleans is
- 23:03Speaker 2: in jail at this point. Yes, and they're currently some
- 23:07Speaker 2: of them being indicted right now.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Well that's the new one. Yes, she is currently under indictment.
- 23:13Speaker 2: You want to talk about everyone thinks Chicago and stuff
- 23:16Speaker 2: like that is corrupt, go to New Orleans. New Orleans
- 23:19Speaker 2: is one of the most corrupt cities with like politician
- 23:22Speaker 2: police like people in charge.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Yeah, they found out after Katrina how many ghost officers
- 23:28Speaker 3: were on the payroll, Like they have these people on
- 23:30Speaker 3: the payroll, but these officers never existed. It's like payroll fraud.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Yeah. I had a friend whose mom worked at the
- 23:39Speaker 2: Orleans and I know there was.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Some some shady, some.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Shady stuff going on. So yeah, New Orleans is really
- 23:46Speaker 2: bad about corruption and things like that, with all their
- 23:48Speaker 2: politicians and police and things like that. But I was
- 23:51Speaker 2: going to say, oh, yeah, eighty percent of New Orleans
- 23:54Speaker 2: was underwater. However, like the French Quarter, it's right next
- 23:57Speaker 2: to Mississippi River and that's actually the highest point. The
- 24:00Speaker 2: lower parts that flooded real bad. They're below sea level
- 24:03Speaker 2: and like in a I don't know if the French
- 24:08Speaker 2: court if they said it's just above sea level right
- 24:10Speaker 2: at sea level, it's it's just a little bit higher.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's they didn't. They got some water
- 24:16Speaker 3: that started coming in, but it receded really quickly, or
- 24:19Speaker 3: the pumps pumped it out. I can't remember what it was.
- 24:21Speaker 3: But all that happened Zach and Addy. After the fact,
- 24:25Speaker 3: they start to thrive in this new environment like this,
- 24:29Speaker 3: this this crazy, this chaos that's going on. They just,
- 24:34Speaker 3: I don't know, for some reason.
- 24:35Speaker 2: They thrive because they're.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Not because they're not really because they're they don't have
- 24:40Speaker 3: any real respects. They're on Yeah, they're on the fringe
- 24:42Speaker 3: of society.
- 24:43Speaker 2: There's no communications to anybody. They they can basically use
- 24:46Speaker 2: this as an excuse for ignoring responsibility, responsibilities, ignoring his children,
- 24:54Speaker 2: ignoring his ex wife.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Yeah there was. Yeah, there was no paying bills. There's
- 24:59Speaker 3: nothing going on. There's with electricity to pay, there's no
- 25:02Speaker 3: anything Like.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Everybody else, like the ex wife said, everybody else was
- 25:06Speaker 2: trying to build New Orleans back. They were hoping it
- 25:10Speaker 2: never went back to what it was because they thrived
- 25:12Speaker 2: in this this type of world where there's they just
- 25:17Speaker 2: they're you know what it is, because all they needed
- 25:19Speaker 2: was their good personalities to get by. Yeah, I mean,
- 25:22Speaker 2: and that don't mark in the real world, it only
- 25:23Speaker 2: gets you so far.
- 25:24Speaker 3: It does yes, So with no real life struggles to
- 25:28Speaker 3: deal with besides their actual survival, they were able to
- 25:31Speaker 3: just cook on the streets and form a little community
- 25:34Speaker 3: in the area where they just cooked for everybody. They
- 25:37Speaker 3: were living their best lives and they were getting closer
- 25:39Speaker 3: and closer to each other. Zach during this time just
- 25:42Speaker 3: completely disregarded his children and his ex wife and he's
- 25:46Speaker 3: living in this bubble with Addie down in the French Quarter.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Zach and Addie would spend their days and nights hanging
- 25:52Speaker 3: out with other people in the area and they were
- 25:55Speaker 3: just hanging out, drinking. They even made it on the
- 25:58Speaker 3: covers of national newspapers and magazines with them photos of
- 26:02Speaker 3: them just cooking for the community out there.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and they were even interviewed by a news crew.
- 26:06Speaker 2: And that's where I'm saying, we're the mom, Like there's
- 26:09Speaker 2: something with the mom. So she she says that she
- 26:12Speaker 2: gets a call, he borrows the cell phone, he calls
- 26:16Speaker 2: his mom. He doesn't call to check on his children
- 26:18Speaker 2: or anything. No, he calls his mom. His mom's like,
- 26:21Speaker 2: oh my god, I was so thankful. It was just
- 26:23Speaker 2: like such joy to hear his voice and know he
- 26:25Speaker 2: was okay, And I want to be like, bitch, did
- 26:27Speaker 2: you ask about your grandchildren? Like she never even mentioned
- 26:30Speaker 2: the fact that she would have said to him like, hey,
- 26:32Speaker 2: where are my grandchildren? Have you checked on them? She
- 26:35Speaker 2: didn't mention any of that stuff. She has talked about
- 26:37Speaker 2: how happy she was to hear I think she thinks
- 26:40Speaker 2: that that.
- 26:40Speaker 3: I just hope it's bad editing on whoever did the
- 26:43Speaker 3: documentary part. But I don't think it is.
- 26:45Speaker 2: No, I don't think it easier because I think this
- 26:47Speaker 2: is just me in my opinion. But to me, she
- 26:49Speaker 2: go off the vibes of like this lady like run
- 26:53Speaker 2: my child's life because he was seventeen. But I don't know.
- 26:56Speaker 2: He said he was seventeen and he was working in
- 26:59Speaker 2: like bars. He probably did lie to her and say
- 27:02Speaker 2: he was older. I mean, like that's yeah, right on
- 27:06Speaker 2: the edge of like being here.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Yeah, she was dancing in some club down.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, she was a dancer and he and so she
- 27:11Speaker 2: probably just assumed he was of age or like in
- 27:14Speaker 2: the age range of her. Anyways, it just felt like,
- 27:17Speaker 2: I'm just like, why didn't when you ask him, did
- 27:18Speaker 2: you call and check on your children? Because he didn't
- 27:21Speaker 2: call and check on. We have the ex wife that
- 27:23Speaker 2: says I didn't hear from him. The first time she
- 27:26Speaker 2: hears from him is she sees his freaking She finally
- 27:29Speaker 2: gets internet access, and she's looking at the Red Cross
- 27:33Speaker 2: victims like survivor's list.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:35Speaker 3: She's looking to say if he's dead, yeah, or.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Seeing if he's at some sort of uh when they're
- 27:39Speaker 2: keeping they're trying to keep track of So everybody's just
- 27:42Speaker 2: getting shipped all over the place, like whatever city can
- 27:44Speaker 2: take him, like Lofayette, Houston where I lived, Lufkin, we
- 27:47Speaker 2: got people people all down Iten were getting dropped off
- 27:50Speaker 2: at wherever could take people. And so they were they
- 27:54Speaker 2: had like a Red Cross or somebody had a list
- 27:56Speaker 2: of names, so you'd register and then your loved ones
- 27:59Speaker 2: could look at the list and find out where you
- 28:01Speaker 2: were located, because you could be in San Antonio and
- 28:03Speaker 2: they could be in Lafayette, like you just don't know.
- 28:05Speaker 2: So she's looking at that list and then she's clicking
- 28:07Speaker 2: around and she sees their freaking pictures on a website,
- 28:10Speaker 2: hanging out with the with the Holten kittens, drinking a
- 28:13Speaker 2: glass of wine.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Stuff.
- 28:15Speaker 2: She's like, you motherfuckers.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you could tell Lana was she was trying to
- 28:19Speaker 3: keep together and not talk ill of Zach. Yes, too badly. Yeah,
- 28:24Speaker 3: because she knows that one day her children might see this. Yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 3: so she was like you could see the face though
- 28:30Speaker 3: there was no hide in the face.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Yes, because during all this, I understand that he had
- 28:36Speaker 2: PTSD untreated, But we are talking about he came back
- 28:42Speaker 2: at a time we were well aware of PTSD. At
- 28:45Speaker 2: this point. They had services for people coming back from
- 28:49Speaker 2: the Iraq War, you know, to help them with things
- 28:52Speaker 2: like this. So I understand he had PTSD, but it
- 28:55Speaker 2: doesn't just completely give him a that he just has
- 29:00Speaker 2: excuse to just oh, well, he had PTSD, so he
- 29:02Speaker 2: could just do whatever whatever he wants. He can abandon
- 29:05Speaker 2: his children.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Smack up the wife, leave the house.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah. So I mean we understand he had PTSD that
- 29:11Speaker 2: was untreated and had mental health issues from the war,
- 29:14Speaker 2: but he he had veterans benefits, so I believe he
- 29:19Speaker 2: could go get Yes, it said he had veterans. He
- 29:22Speaker 2: had VA benefits because he had certain medals and stuff
- 29:26Speaker 2: that allowed him to have veterans benefits. Get his GI bill,
- 29:30Speaker 2: but he got VA benefits.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Yeah, because evidently he was sick of the army, so
- 29:35Speaker 3: he started failing physical fitness tests and all this stuff,
- 29:39Speaker 3: so they'd put him out. So he got out on
- 29:41Speaker 3: other than honorable, which yes.
- 29:44Speaker 2: But because of the medals he got received or whatever,
- 29:47Speaker 2: he did get VA benefits. He just didn't get his
- 29:50Speaker 2: GI bill and all the other things. And then he
- 29:51Speaker 2: was mad about that.
- 29:53Speaker 3: So, well, what do you expect when you get out,
- 29:56Speaker 3: when you try and get out, Well.
- 29:57Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, just you're not just have to. I
- 30:00Speaker 2: mean I think if you, I would assume that if
- 30:02Speaker 2: you went forward and told them about your issues mental
- 30:05Speaker 2: health issues, and they would get you resources.
- 30:07Speaker 3: And then then you could have got a medical discharge
- 30:09Speaker 3: and you'd have all.
- 30:09Speaker 2: You and then you have all your benefits and get percent.
- 30:13Speaker 3: He was like a guy with an al toro. He uh.
- 30:18Speaker 3: He decided he didn't want to be in a marine
- 30:20Speaker 3: corps anymore, so he just started doing weird things. He
- 30:25Speaker 3: made a no shave chip to where he could grow
- 30:27Speaker 3: a beard, but he created it himself. He didn't get
- 30:29Speaker 3: it from medical because sometimes if you have like a
- 30:31Speaker 3: skin condition, you don't have to shave your face, but
- 30:34Speaker 3: you got to have medical permission, not to shave. He
- 30:37Speaker 3: just created his own and then he made like a
- 30:39Speaker 3: little James Bond car with all these little switches in
- 30:42Speaker 3: his car on the dashboard.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Okay, do you think he was making this up or
- 30:45Speaker 2: was he actually losing his minds too?
- 30:47Speaker 3: Well, I don't know, but he had he pulled the
- 30:49Speaker 3: dashboard out of his car and he made all these
- 30:51Speaker 3: little switches and stuff, and little lights would pop up
- 30:53Speaker 3: and all this weird stuff. So they were repaving the
- 30:56Speaker 3: parking lot in the barracks. He didn't move his car.
- 30:59Speaker 3: They bring theft in the forklift, picks up his car
- 31:02Speaker 3: to move it, and then they see all this wiring
- 31:04Speaker 3: in shit under his car and they're like, oh shit,
- 31:06Speaker 3: there's this car is wired. We got to call EOD.
- 31:09Speaker 2: He's actually I think he was losing his mind then,
- 31:11Speaker 2: because he had no idea they were going to find
- 31:13Speaker 2: his car and think it.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Was a There were signs all over the thing that
- 31:17Speaker 3: move your car because we're going to do it or
- 31:18Speaker 3: we're gonna have to tell you no.
- 31:19Speaker 2: But that they were going to see his car with
- 31:21Speaker 2: whatever was going on.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Well, he had like these little fireworks that let's.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Say also served before this. So if they had mental
- 31:29Speaker 2: health help back then then they definitely probably had it.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Well, he didn't get mental health they they just put
- 31:34Speaker 3: him on legal hold and the U it took him
- 31:36Speaker 3: like twice as long to get out of the military
- 31:38Speaker 3: because he was on legal hold. It's like, dude, just
- 31:41Speaker 3: do your time and get out or go get.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Your medical anyway.
- 31:45Speaker 3: So, but trying to game the system is all I'm saying.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Okay, anyway, so he yes, he had the PTSD, but
- 31:51Speaker 2: we're not going to just give him a get out
- 31:53Speaker 2: of jail free car.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Yes, you said that five times, Okay, No.
- 31:56Speaker 2: I haven't three times. Okay, whatever. You start off on
- 31:59Speaker 2: some stupid.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Store about the time, the one time, the one time, okay,
- 32:07Speaker 4: go on, it's not even my turn.
- 32:11Speaker 2: I thought it was your turn. You No, I just finished,
- 32:14Speaker 2: Oh okay, all right, so.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Time went on.
- 32:18Speaker 2: No. Did you mention that they were enjoying all the
- 32:20Speaker 2: attention they got from the new celebrity they received.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I might not have.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Okay, they were enjoying the new celebrity they received from
- 32:29Speaker 2: being in the newspaper. They were soaking it up. So
- 32:31Speaker 2: they're living in this this alternate reality that's never going
- 32:35Speaker 2: to go on forever. But they've got in their head.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I'm sure that they're like, maybe maybe the city will
- 32:40Speaker 2: never come.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Back, Maybe maybe nobody will rebuild New Orleans and we'll
- 32:43Speaker 3: just live this way forever.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Yeah, just disregard because this was in August, so you're
- 32:49Speaker 2: at least going into the cooler months. You want to
- 32:51Speaker 2: do that in freaking July.
- 32:53Speaker 3: September must have been terrible.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Well, yeah, this is true. Okay. As time went on,
- 32:58Speaker 2: the city starts to rebuild, things start to get back
- 33:00Speaker 2: to normal, and they have to go back to work.
- 33:03Speaker 3: I know, I had to go to New Orleans about
- 33:05Speaker 3: a month after all this went down to put in
- 33:06Speaker 3: a communications communications communications. Well, yeah, because it was for
- 33:12Speaker 3: cash so that the store the dish would connect to
- 33:17Speaker 3: the satellite so they could collect point of sale payments.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Oh, they were worried about getting the money.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Well, the store was going, so yeah, they needed their money,
- 33:25Speaker 3: all right.
- 33:26Speaker 2: So this little fairytale world that they were living in
- 33:29Speaker 2: in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was now over and
- 33:34Speaker 2: we're back to just real life responsibilities coming back into
- 33:38Speaker 2: the picture, including Rona, who.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Was child sport.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Finally able to get a hold of Zach and she
- 33:47Speaker 2: is telling him that she needs help. She obviously she
- 33:50Speaker 2: can't work. There's like everything's shut down. Ain't nobody going
- 33:53Speaker 2: and looking. I don't know what she was doing at
- 33:55Speaker 2: the time, but probably similar bartending, things like that, dancing,
- 33:59Speaker 2: those things aren't and running. She's like, I need help financially.
- 34:02Speaker 2: And she's also trying to work out some sort of
- 34:04Speaker 2: situations so that he can start seeing his children again because.
- 34:07Speaker 3: They well, yeah, this is ten years after he met her,
- 34:09Speaker 3: and she ain't twenty eight nomore, she's thirty eight now.
- 34:12Speaker 3: If she's still dancing, so and if she is dancing at.
- 34:15Speaker 2: The same clubs that she was able to get it,
- 34:17Speaker 2: she's more like airport probably, and so those were all
- 34:22Speaker 2: closed down, So I don't know what she was doing
- 34:23Speaker 2: at the time for money. So at this time, Zach
- 34:26Speaker 2: goes to work at a grocery store because before he
- 34:28Speaker 2: was working at a bar, and Addie goes back to work,
- 34:32Speaker 2: back to working at a bar.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Now.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Zach and Addie began abusing alcohol and drugs more heavily
- 34:38Speaker 2: as the reality of their situation set in.
- 34:41Speaker 3: With both of their mental health issues in decline and
- 34:44Speaker 3: their drug and alcohol use on the rise, the fighting
- 34:48Speaker 3: began to intensify between the two of them. Friends of
- 34:51Speaker 3: Zach can see that he's slowly starting to spiral under
- 34:54Speaker 3: the pressure of this new life post Katrina.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, having too try to get pressure from his ex
- 35:02Speaker 2: wife about their children, pressure from Addie. All these things
- 35:07Speaker 2: are just building up and he can't handle it.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Yeah, Now Zach's jealousy is also starting to spiral out
- 35:15Speaker 3: of control. Addie worked at the bar and she would
- 35:18Speaker 3: dance on the bar, and she was kind of a
- 35:20Speaker 3: party girl. She loved the attention and entertaining the customers,
- 35:25Speaker 3: so she was.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Like making that money. She's like, we got to make
- 35:27Speaker 2: some money.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Yeah, she'd get up on the bar, she'd do like
- 35:30Speaker 3: some Kayodi ugly stuff or whatever, get some tips coming in.
- 35:35Speaker 3: But if he was there at the bar, he would
- 35:37Speaker 3: get very jealous of the men that were looking at her.
- 35:40Speaker 3: He would even show up and in the bar and
- 35:42Speaker 3: start fighting with her about her working at the bar
- 35:45Speaker 3: all together. It's like, what do you expect her to do?
- 35:49Speaker 2: Yeah, there's very few things. He's working at the grocery
- 35:51Speaker 2: store in this aftermath, because that's people need food and
- 35:54Speaker 2: then they also need to escape, so they're going to
- 35:56Speaker 2: the bar. So those are two things for sure are
- 35:58Speaker 2: still in business after Hurricane katrinas it took years for
- 36:02Speaker 2: them to rebuild.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Yeah, which you want her to work hourly for an
- 36:06Speaker 3: hourly rate or the earn tips she might be able
- 36:09Speaker 3: to bring in a couple hundred dollars a night doing
- 36:11Speaker 3: working at the bar. So Zach starts going to the
- 36:15Speaker 3: strip clubs and flirting with other women to get back
- 36:17Speaker 3: at Addie, and eventually he did cheat on her. Zach
- 36:22Speaker 3: also became physically abusive at this time, and he did
- 36:26Speaker 3: hit Addie supposedly for the first time. The next morning,
- 36:30Speaker 3: he left her note and he was saying that he
- 36:33Speaker 3: was done, he was leaving town and he was going
- 36:35Speaker 3: to Washington State. He did actually leave, however, he changed
- 36:39Speaker 3: his mind and he came back, got back together with Addie,
- 36:43Speaker 3: and this cycle of good times bad times continued on.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:48Speaker 2: They were saying that that they were getting into a
- 36:53Speaker 2: cycle of basically they would.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Break up every day, every twenty four hours.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Every twenty four hours, and he's getting more and more.
- 37:02Speaker 2: They didn't go into how many times he was abusive
- 37:04Speaker 2: to her, but he was getting more violent. Now. On
- 37:08Speaker 2: October fourth, two thousand and six, things came to a
- 37:11Speaker 2: final head whenever Addie discovered that Zach had cheated on
- 37:15Speaker 2: her with not a woman but a man. So Addie,
- 37:21Speaker 2: at this point they are living at eight twenty six
- 37:24Speaker 2: North Rampart Street in the French Quarter. It's actually a
- 37:27Speaker 2: little apartment over a voodoo shop.
- 37:31Speaker 3: I think it was a former voodoo shop now or no.
- 37:34Speaker 2: At the time though it was yeah, yeah, so maybe
- 37:39Speaker 2: some things too got into I would never live over
- 37:42Speaker 2: a voodoo shop. I didn't even want to walk into
- 37:44Speaker 2: him whenever the first time, I was like, yeah, this
- 37:46Speaker 2: is some devil stuff.
- 37:47Speaker 3: That was Marie Lebow's tourist shop.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Yes, I was like, this is some bad juju. We
- 37:52Speaker 2: kick go. So anyway, so they're living over this voodoo shop.
- 37:58Speaker 2: So after she finds out that he was cheating on
- 38:01Speaker 2: with her man that with the man, she had found it.
- 38:03Speaker 2: She knew he had cheated on her before with women,
- 38:05Speaker 2: but I guess with the man.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Was like break. She's like, I can't I can't compete
- 38:10Speaker 3: with that.
- 38:10Speaker 2: I can't compete with the with the man, What am
- 38:15Speaker 2: I going to do about that? So anyway, so she
- 38:17Speaker 2: heads down to the lease office and apparently Zach had
- 38:21Speaker 2: put the most of the deposit down, but she's over
- 38:24Speaker 2: there trying to get him taken off the lease so
- 38:26Speaker 2: that she can kick him out. The leasing manager is like, no,
- 38:29Speaker 2: you deal with this yourself. Work it out with your boyfriend.
- 38:31Speaker 2: I ain't getting into that in the middle, and so
- 38:35Speaker 2: she heads off to deal with Zach.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Evidently, that same evening, Addie decides that she's had enough
- 38:44Speaker 3: of Zach shit. She's gonna put him out. She's throwing
- 38:46Speaker 3: all the shit in the hallway. The whole time. She's
- 38:48Speaker 3: screaming at him, you cheated on me or with getting
- 38:52Speaker 3: with the dude. Like anybody that's in the building can
- 38:55Speaker 3: basically hear what she's saying.
- 38:57Speaker 2: There isn't a buildings do It's just a voodoo chop.
- 38:59Speaker 3: I thought there was a second apartment upstairs. No, just
- 39:02Speaker 3: the one.
- 39:03Speaker 2: There was just the one. I believe all.
- 39:05Speaker 3: The customers in the Buddho shop could hear then, Okay,
- 39:08Speaker 3: so Zach ends up strangling.
- 39:09Speaker 2: At all the voodoo dolls could hear it?
- 39:11Speaker 3: They could. Zach ends up strangling Addie and then sexually
- 39:17Speaker 3: abuses her corpse and then passes out from the drugs
- 39:22Speaker 3: and alcohol that he had been taken.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and he took in a large amount of He'd
- 39:26Speaker 2: been doing cocaine at this point and heavy heavy drinking.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Got a crash sometime, so he passed out next to
- 39:33Speaker 3: her dead body. The next day, he cranks the air
- 39:37Speaker 3: conditioner down to sixty degrees so it's like a to
- 39:40Speaker 3: preserve her body from decomposing too.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Well, he's trying to figure out what he's going to do.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Yes, and then he heads to work as if nothing happened.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Everyone that worked with him said he was acting normal
- 39:51Speaker 3: and that nothing really seemed strange to them.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Yeah, even like they said, just his happy personality that
- 39:58Speaker 2: he has, you know.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Now.
- 40:00Speaker 2: While he is at work the next day, he was
- 40:02Speaker 2: thinking about what he was going to do with this
- 40:06Speaker 2: body that he has now in his apartment, and this
- 40:08Speaker 2: is where he came with a plan to cut her up.
- 40:10Speaker 2: So the next few days he cuts her body up
- 40:12Speaker 2: with a knife and a handsaw. Still not knowing to
- 40:16Speaker 2: do what to do with the body parts, he decides
- 40:19Speaker 2: to start cooking the body parts and attempt to try
- 40:21Speaker 2: to make it easier to get rid of these parts. Eventually,
- 40:27Speaker 2: like cook.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Him down, cut him down, so Dahmer.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Style, Well, Dahmer ate the bodies.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Yes, supposedly, Zach did not eat the body part.
- 40:37Speaker 2: No, we'll get into that later, but no. So anyway,
- 40:40Speaker 2: so this is like horrific. He's now strangled this woman
- 40:43Speaker 2: and now he's cutting up her body in this apartment
- 40:46Speaker 2: over this voodoo shop. I'm going I tell you it's
- 40:48Speaker 2: a horror movie. It's a horror movie. And it's it's
- 40:51Speaker 2: like days that he's doing this and he's going into
- 40:55Speaker 2: work like normal.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Yes, because in between this happened on October fifth or.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Sixth and October fifth, uh.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Yeah, on October fifth and on October seventeenth, two thousand
- 41:07Speaker 3: and six, New Orleans police receive a phone call from
- 41:10Speaker 3: the Omni Royal Hotel in the French Quarter. There was
- 41:14Speaker 3: a man's body on top of the parking garage. When
- 41:17Speaker 3: they arrived on the scene, they found a man with
- 41:19Speaker 3: a suicide note in his pocket that stated, this is
- 41:23Speaker 3: not accidental. I had to take my own life to
- 41:26Speaker 3: pay for the one I took. If you send a
- 41:28Speaker 3: patrol to eight twenty six North Rampart, you will find
- 41:32Speaker 3: the dismembered corpse of my girlfriend Addie in the oven,
- 41:36Speaker 3: on the stove and in the fridge, along with a
- 41:40Speaker 3: full documentation on the both of us, and a fully
- 41:44Speaker 3: signed confession from myself, Zach Bowen.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Now, at this point police race over to this apartment
- 41:52Speaker 2: on Rampart Street, and upon entering the apartment they find
- 41:55Speaker 2: what looks like a horror movie. Now on the walls
- 41:58Speaker 2: were messages written in black spray paint. He'd written things
- 42:01Speaker 2: like I am a failure. Call Lana uh, and then
- 42:06Speaker 2: it had instructions about like because that's the mother his children,
- 42:09Speaker 2: let her know. He had things like I'm I'll never
- 42:14Speaker 2: forgive myself, like all sorts of crazy things he'd written
- 42:17Speaker 2: all over the walls. Now, one of the messages he'd
- 42:22Speaker 2: drawn an arrow in the spray paint, and it pointed
- 42:26Speaker 2: to the stove, which he'd already said that's where things were.
- 42:29Speaker 3: So yeah said looking here, and then on the stove
- 42:31Speaker 3: it said don't look in here.
- 42:34Speaker 2: I this is not funny. But like so he wrote
- 42:36Speaker 2: in the suicide note to where everything was, he points
- 42:39Speaker 2: an arrow to the stove, and then on the stove
- 42:42Speaker 2: it says, don't look so anyway. So the police officers
- 42:45Speaker 2: they head over to the stove where there were pots
- 42:47Speaker 2: with human body parts. So one pot had the head
- 42:50Speaker 2: burned to where it was unrecognizable, like it had been
- 42:55Speaker 2: boiled down or burned to a point where it was
- 42:57Speaker 2: like the skin when stuff was peeling away. And the
- 43:00Speaker 2: other one had her hands in her feet. Now on
- 43:04Speaker 2: like I said, on the oven says do not look.
- 43:05Speaker 2: So they open it up and they're on like a
- 43:07Speaker 2: throwaway roasting pan is arms and legs, and they did
- 43:13Speaker 2: as a closer inspection, the arms and legs did have
- 43:16Speaker 2: seasoning on them, like he was cooking it for like
- 43:20Speaker 2: a roast in the oven. So then they open up
- 43:24Speaker 2: the refrigerator. There's a black trash bag and inside that
- 43:27Speaker 2: black trash bag is the Torso they also found things
- 43:31Speaker 2: like potatoes and carrots. Carrots next to the stove or
- 43:36Speaker 2: appeard that he was cutting them up. Possibly I think
- 43:39Speaker 2: he was spiraling, Yes, I think he was slowly spiraling,
- 43:41Speaker 2: like how do I get rid of this body? And
- 43:43Speaker 2: he had gotten to the point was like, okay, I
- 43:45Speaker 2: have I'm gonna have to eat it and so and continue.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Remember he's on a he's on a bender during this
- 43:50Speaker 2: whole two weeks that he's he's on drugs and alcohol
- 43:54Speaker 2: this entire time.
- 43:55Speaker 3: Yeah, So police pull up the video footage from the
- 43:59Speaker 3: Omni Hotel and they see Zach. He's pacing back and forth.
- 44:02Speaker 3: He's on the eighth floor. He walks to the edge
- 44:05Speaker 3: of a couple times. He's drinking his drink, he's at
- 44:08Speaker 3: the bar. The bartenders are thinking he's acting sketchy, like
- 44:11Speaker 3: he's going to skip out on the on the tab
- 44:16Speaker 3: as he's walking back and forth to the edge of
- 44:18Speaker 3: the looking over the from the eighth floor down.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but that was confusing because they say that, But
- 44:25Speaker 2: wouldn't they see him jump over? He must have gone
- 44:27Speaker 2: to another area.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Well, No, I think I think that they were thought
- 44:31Speaker 3: he was pacing because he was going to dash out
- 44:33Speaker 3: of the hotel. They didn't expect him to go that way,
- 44:36Speaker 3: So I don't think they were looking that way for
- 44:38Speaker 3: him to jump. I think they were waiting for him
- 44:40Speaker 3: to go dashing out of the door drink his drink.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Yes, but wouldn't they if they were paying attention to him,
- 44:44Speaker 2: wouldn't they see him jump over the side?
- 44:47Speaker 3: They might.
- 44:48Speaker 2: I don't know that.
- 44:49Speaker 3: I mean, there's a couple of bartenders.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Okay, maybe they were busy.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Maybe they were worried about the exit, and they didn't
- 44:55Speaker 3: actually think he would jump over the rail.
- 44:57Speaker 2: But if they were looking at him, it wouldn't matter
- 44:59Speaker 2: if he went over the the rail or went to
- 45:00Speaker 2: the extra.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Well, they see him come toward the bar and then
- 45:02Speaker 3: he walks away and there like that, dude's weird. And
- 45:04Speaker 3: then they talked to the other.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Well they probably yes, so that you're saying that.
- 45:07Speaker 3: It only takes a second.
- 45:08Speaker 2: But you were saying they were watching him pace near
- 45:10Speaker 2: the railing. I don't think they were. I think they
- 45:12Speaker 2: saw him pacing in front of the bar and disappearing
- 45:15Speaker 2: to the side.
- 45:15Speaker 3: So I'm saying the place for watching the camera of
- 45:18Speaker 3: him pacing, because they said that.
- 45:20Speaker 2: The bartenders were watching him pacing, I.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Said the camera, the people watching the cameras.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Anyways, he downs his drink and jumps off.
- 45:29Speaker 3: I was getting to that okay, despite appearing that he
- 45:32Speaker 3: was going to eat the body. When they performed the autopsy,
- 45:36Speaker 3: they did not find any human remains in his stomach,
- 45:40Speaker 3: but of course it had been twelve days since no but.
- 45:42Speaker 2: He I think he was slowly getting to that point,
- 45:45Speaker 2: and that's when he was like this is too far,
- 45:47Speaker 2: Like I I shouldn't be here anymore, you know, I
- 45:51Speaker 2: gotta I gotta stop. So in ADDIE's journal, they found
- 45:54Speaker 2: his full confession. He stated that he strangled her around
- 45:57Speaker 2: one am on October fifth. He said it was very
- 46:01Speaker 2: he did it very calmly, and that it was quick.
- 46:04Speaker 2: He walked police through his entire process of disposing the body,
- 46:08Speaker 2: his thought process. He must have been journaling every day,
- 46:10Speaker 2: is what I'm guessing. There was about eight pages because
- 46:13Speaker 2: he's he's walking him through his whole entire thought process
- 46:15Speaker 2: journal in her in her journal. Then he stated that
- 46:19Speaker 2: he in this journal, he said he was going to
- 46:21Speaker 2: go ahead and go out with having a good time
- 46:24Speaker 2: with good friends, good drugs, and good strippers. So he
- 46:28Speaker 2: withdrew the last fifteen hundred dollars that he had to
- 46:30Speaker 2: his name and did just that. He said he had
- 46:33Speaker 2: a fantastic time living out his final days, and for
- 46:36Speaker 2: why he killed himself, he stated the following, I scared myself,
- 46:40Speaker 2: not by the action of strangling the woman I've loved
- 46:43Speaker 2: for one and a half years, but by my entire
- 46:45Speaker 2: lack of remorse. So he didn't even feel bad about
- 46:50Speaker 2: doing this. That he realized he was like dead inside
- 46:52Speaker 2: basically from probably all the all the PTSD, all the
- 46:57Speaker 2: things he'd seen, all the alcohol, and drug abuse, and
- 47:01Speaker 2: he'd just been beaten down to.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Like, yeah, it sounds like he had a moment of
- 47:05Speaker 3: clarity before he actually started eating the body and he's like, shit,
- 47:08Speaker 3: I gotta I gotta do something.
- 47:11Speaker 2: But see that's where it's like, yes, you went through
- 47:14Speaker 2: this traumatic thing, Yes you need but he had he
- 47:17Speaker 2: was aware of everything he was doing. He was writing
- 47:19Speaker 2: it down. He was aware of this whole what he
- 47:22Speaker 2: was doing was wrong.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Like he knew help.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Anyways, the apartment where they lived was turned into a
- 47:30Speaker 2: haunted museum by Mary the Voodoo Queen Milan, So you
- 47:35Speaker 2: can currently go see the actual oven where they found
- 47:37Speaker 2: all the body parts and the refrigerator.
- 47:39Speaker 3: Now, Zach, his claim to fame.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Is that he is the Butcher of New Orleans. So
- 47:47Speaker 2: that's our story.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Well, in a related story, what's our related story? And
- 47:55Speaker 3: I can't remember what year it is, but the current
- 47:59Speaker 3: year now, oh, I can't remember what year this happened
- 48:02Speaker 3: that I'm about to tell you. Her friend was in
- 48:05Speaker 3: the documentary we Can't Find on ABC the Vinyl Witness
- 48:09Speaker 3: Thing was a girl named Margaret Sanchez, was a friend
- 48:14Speaker 3: of ADDIE's. Some years later, Margaret Sanchez and her boyfriend
- 48:20Speaker 3: got a dancer from down in the French corter.
- 48:23Speaker 2: Her name was Lola.
- 48:25Speaker 3: It was not it was Jaron Lockhart, and they murdered
- 48:28Speaker 3: and dismembered her and she was washing up on the
- 48:32Speaker 3: beaches in Mississippi. I believe I thought we did that case.
- 48:35Speaker 3: Maybe we thought about doing it but we didn't.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Maybe we were like this is too too much. No,
- 48:40Speaker 2: it doesn't sound like us.
- 48:42Speaker 3: No, but yes, So on a twist.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Someone commented on Facebook or something that they knew.
- 48:50Speaker 3: No, I that the Margaret Sanchez and her boyfriend did.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Someone comment on our Facebook? Oh that was another one.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Yes, this is an another one.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Oh, someone comment on a Facebook post where they were talking.
- 49:03Speaker 3: This is something I was looking up about the the
- 49:07Speaker 3: Zach and Addie and they were like yeah, and what's
- 49:09Speaker 3: weird is her friend did that to somebody else. I'm like, wait,
- 49:13Speaker 3: I remember.
- 49:14Speaker 2: Oh, you know what she was in?
- 49:18Speaker 3: Okay, so I think she was in one of those
- 49:20Speaker 3: c no evil things.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Maybe she was in something because we watched that. And
- 49:24Speaker 2: I don't believe we did the case.
- 49:26Speaker 3: But yes, But it turned out that the girl that
- 49:29Speaker 3: murdered the dancer was one of ADDIE's friends and she
- 49:33Speaker 3: was interviewed in the Final Witness.
- 49:36Speaker 2: No she was was? Did it say she was? We
- 49:39Speaker 2: must have watched that episode because I remember that girl
- 49:41Speaker 2: being interviewed in US talking about that. Something happened with
- 49:46Speaker 2: that anyway.
- 49:47Speaker 3: So well we got to find ABC's final.
- 49:50Speaker 2: As that one guy that was the serial killer, the
- 49:52Speaker 2: Flint River killer and then his daughter being murdered by.
- 49:55Speaker 3: A Sarah or being murdered, not by a serial killer.
- 49:58Speaker 2: But it was almost crazy like that. So anyway, so
- 50:02Speaker 2: that's our story out of Louisiana, Zach and Addie. I
- 50:07Speaker 2: don't know what to say.
- 50:08Speaker 3: So that's stomach churning, yep.
- 50:12Speaker 2: So Stu, do you have a yell need Jesus?
- 50:15Speaker 3: Why?
- 50:16Speaker 2: Yes, I do when you get this show on the road,
- 50:17Speaker 2: because I'm very tired.
- 50:19Speaker 3: I don't care about your tiredness.
- 50:21Speaker 2: Are you serious, stewarts?
- 50:22Speaker 3: I do kind of.
- 50:24Speaker 2: You're about to care because I'm about to get snippy.
- 50:27Speaker 3: What do you mean You're about to get snippy? All right?
- 50:29Speaker 2: Do you have it ready to go?
- 50:30Speaker 3: No? I don't. I gotta find it. I lost it.
- 50:32Speaker 2: So I've already told a story about the Snickers. I
- 50:35Speaker 2: can't kill that time with that.
- 50:36Speaker 3: Oh you got it?
- 50:39Speaker 2: Yeah, good because I.
- 50:40Speaker 3: Got from Aol dot com in uh memoriam of their
- 50:46Speaker 3: dial up service being canceled here in the last month
- 50:49Speaker 3: or so, being.
- 50:51Speaker 2: The last customer with the dial up, I don't know
- 50:56Speaker 2: who was. It's almost like the last Blockbuster. Who who
- 50:59Speaker 2: has this?
- 51:00Speaker 3: There's still a Blockbuster up in Oregon somewhere are still operating, Yeah.
- 51:03Speaker 2: They're still Well, it's mainly like a novelty. I think,
- 51:06Speaker 2: like people go up there and be like, oh, it's
- 51:08Speaker 2: the I don't.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Have a BCR. I'm just here to hang out.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Yep, all right, you ready?
- 51:15Speaker 3: Yes, two men claiming to be police were shot and
- 51:19Speaker 3: killed by a homeowner. Authority say, yes, this one's a
- 51:24Speaker 3: little darker than some of the other ones, but it's
- 51:26Speaker 3: still kind of funny. Florida, not Florida, not Florida. A
- 51:30Speaker 3: Texas homeowner, yeah, basically shot two mass men late Friday
- 51:35Speaker 3: after they posed as officers serving a warrant and open
- 51:39Speaker 3: fire on the house.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Police say, why would they be masked if they were
- 51:42Speaker 2: police officers?
- 51:44Speaker 3: That's what the homeowner said. The Houston Police Department or
- 51:48Speaker 3: HPD KARA responded to reports of gunfire in the southeast
- 51:53Speaker 3: part of the city around midnight. Officer C. Jones told
- 51:58Speaker 3: Fox News Digital suspects were wearing bulletproof vests marked with police,
- 52:03Speaker 3: but no patrol cars or flashing lights were present, raising
- 52:07Speaker 3: the homeowner's suspicions. The two men were also wearing masks
- 52:12Speaker 3: covering their faces and badges around their necks.
- 52:16Speaker 2: What did they do? Look up? What a police officer
- 52:18Speaker 2: looks up? What looks like when they're like on the
- 52:21Speaker 2: the other guys or something where they're wearing the badges room.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Well. Homeowners became suspicious because they have a ring camera
- 52:30Speaker 3: and the suspects were stating they had a warrant, but
- 52:32Speaker 3: it was just two people and their masts, their mask step.
- 52:36Speaker 3: There's no police car, there's no lights, there's no anything
- 52:39Speaker 3: like that, Lieutenant Khan said. Police said the men fired
- 52:43Speaker 3: into the home before the residents returned gunshots, killing both men.
- 52:49Speaker 3: The local station reported a raven officers attempt at CPR,
- 52:52Speaker 3: but the men were pronounced dead at the scene.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Did they attempt CPR?
- 52:56Speaker 3: I don't know, I wouldn'ts were unharmed, according to the news,
- 53:03Speaker 3: Police have not released the identities of the two men.
- 53:07Speaker 2: This is why this is fa FO. This is why
- 53:13Speaker 2: I've heard I don't know if this is an urban
- 53:14Speaker 2: legend or not, but I feel like I've heard this before.
- 53:17Speaker 2: If you're a woman and you get pulled over by
- 53:19Speaker 2: a police officer in an unmarked car, don't roll down
- 53:22Speaker 2: your window. You can ask them to show your bat
- 53:25Speaker 2: police apartment.
- 53:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you can drive and call nine one one. You
- 53:28Speaker 3: don't even have to stop.
- 53:29Speaker 2: I heard, Oh you heard that, But yeah, don't be
- 53:32Speaker 2: pulled because I've heard of stories. I feel like I've
- 53:34Speaker 2: heard of a story or so that where a woman
- 53:36Speaker 2: has been like someone's pretending to be a police officer
- 53:39Speaker 2: pulls someone over and does something to them. So you
- 53:41Speaker 2: don't have to if it's like an unmarked police car,
- 53:43Speaker 2: like well, they need to show you their badge number.
- 53:46Speaker 2: You can call in and confirm that that's an actual
- 53:48Speaker 2: police officer before you open your window or anything like that.
- 53:52Speaker 3: I think you can drive down to a well trafficked
- 53:56Speaker 3: place with people.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Like I feel like you should be able to for
- 53:59Speaker 2: any anything like that because you don't know who, especially
- 54:02Speaker 2: if it's an unmarked police car, like a lot of
- 54:04Speaker 2: these ones will be unmarked these days. I feel like
- 54:06Speaker 2: you should be able to go to like someplace where
- 54:08Speaker 2: there's lots of people, and if you have to drive
- 54:10Speaker 2: an extra mile while they follow you, then so be it.
- 54:14Speaker 2: But I don't know what the rules are like when
- 54:16Speaker 2: you're supposed to pull over.
- 54:17Speaker 3: Anyways, you might want to check your local statues before
- 54:19Speaker 3: we believe us and sue us. We don't have insurance
- 54:22Speaker 3: to cover anything like that.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Karen from Blessed dis mess it. I could see your
- 54:26Speaker 2: bed before you before I roll down my window and
- 54:31Speaker 2: give you license and register. Who color here? Here's the episode.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Here's her face.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Oho, that's're talking about them dismembering a body and cooking
- 54:42Speaker 2: it in a stove.
- 54:42Speaker 3: District, lend me Facebook message and see if they're available.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't know anyways, all right, we gotta go,
- 54:50Speaker 2: and things are getting goofy.
- 54:51Speaker 3: So they've been goofy for sometime.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Anyways, if you're listening to this and you're a Patreon,
- 54:56Speaker 2: we'll have a shoot the poo out some point on Friday.
- 55:00Speaker 2: So that's me our New Day's Fridays for those going out, so.
- 55:04Speaker 3: We can talk about how whacked this episode was.
- 55:06Speaker 2: Yes, but now I'm gonna forget about it because we're
- 55:09Speaker 2: not recording that right now because it's like midnight and
- 55:11Speaker 2: I have to go to work in the morning. So
- 55:15Speaker 2: what are we? What are we? What we were going
- 55:17Speaker 2: to talk about? We watched the Stalking Samantha Thirteen Years
- 55:20Speaker 2: of Terror we did. We've watched the Hurricane Katrina stuff
- 55:23Speaker 2: we did. So yeah, we'll probably talk about those things.
- 55:28Speaker 3: I'm sure there's something else. I will figure it out.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh well, Uh, I don't feel bad about what
- 55:34Speaker 2: I said whenever I said those people his parents definitely
- 55:36Speaker 2: did something to that baby, because now they're arrested.
- 55:39Speaker 3: Yes, or the guy he even many he did something
- 55:42Speaker 3: to him.
- 55:43Speaker 2: Yeah, terrible human beings. Yes, all right, So on that
- 55:46Speaker 2: high note, I guess Patreon, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, write a review,
- 55:54Speaker 2: buy us a coffee. We'll see you next time. By everyone,
- 55:58Speaker 2: say bye to Bias Duke.
- 56:01Speaker 5: Don't you know it's bad luck to be superstious, but
- 56:08Speaker 5: nothing else it is working, and my hand is really hurting,
- 56:15Speaker 5: and I'm sick of this worry badly.
- 56:20Speaker 3: I am
