- 1:08Speaker 3: my favorite topics.
- 1:09Speaker 1: With one of my new favorite people. Imani, what's going on?
- 1:14Speaker 2: Hello. Hello. Thank you for inviting me to your podcast.
- 1:18Speaker 1: No problem.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Imani here did a YouTube video on the law of attraction.
- 1:22Speaker 3: The law of attraction has become this thing where like
- 1:23Speaker 3: no one wants to really talk about it these days.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Not like it was like, I guess when the secret
- 1:27Speaker 3: first came out or when some of these other books
- 1:29Speaker 3: came out, but you did a great video and I
- 1:31Speaker 3: wanted to bring you on a show to talk more
- 1:33Speaker 3: in depth about it. And like, we're going to go
- 1:35Speaker 3: through all parts of it, but tell them about your
- 1:38Speaker 3: YouTube channel and where they can find you.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:40Speaker 4: So my YouTube handle is Ms. Miss Beautiful Honey 19.
- 1:48Speaker 4: So there you can subscribe to my channel and you
- 1:51Speaker 4: can see any of the videos that I upload. And
- 1:54Speaker 4: I definitely will be, you know, interacting and making more content.
- 1:59Speaker 2: So, you know, tune in and, you know, check me out.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Before we jump into the law of attraction, I wanted
- 2:05Speaker 3: to prime this by getting to know your history of
- 2:07Speaker 3: belief and what led you to believe in something that
- 2:10Speaker 3: people call a pseudoscience or they call it hippie, dippy nonsense.
- 2:13Speaker 3: How were you raised in terms of belief? Did your
- 2:15Speaker 3: parents take you to church? What religion did you subscribe
- 2:17Speaker 3: to if they did?
- 2:20Speaker 4: Well, yes, I kind of grew up in the church
- 2:23Speaker 4: at a young age. My background is Dominican and African-American.
- 2:28Speaker 4: So I had two different religions that I was exposed to.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I was on my Dominican side. I was Catholic and
- 2:35Speaker 4: I actually went to Catholic school. But then when I
- 2:38Speaker 4: would go with my grandma, she would take me to
- 2:40Speaker 4: a Baptist church and where they believe in baptism.
- 2:45Speaker 2: You know, getting dipped in the water.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Then like with Catholic, they do the, you know, they
- 2:49Speaker 4: spray you with the holy water and you pray with
- 2:50Speaker 4: the rosary beads. So it was two completely different religions.
- 2:54Speaker 4: I never really gravitated to either or because I found that.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Uh, the people in the Baptist.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Church, they're very, you know, and I'm not trying to
- 3:04Speaker 4: downplay religion, but they're just, they were some of the.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Most, you know, mean and evil people that I.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Ever, you know, encountered, you know, they would teach, I
- 3:11Speaker 4: would get teased in Sunday school.
- 3:13Speaker 2: And I was just like, why am I here? You know,
- 3:16Speaker 2: when you're young, you don't have an option.
- 3:17Speaker 4: So I hated going, but you know, I was forced
- 3:20Speaker 4: to do the choir and, you know, I wanted to
- 3:21Speaker 4: please my grandma. So I did it, but I, you know,
- 3:25Speaker 4: my mother, um, she never forced me to go to
- 3:29Speaker 4: church and she was, Kind of a free spirit in
- 3:32Speaker 4: that sense. So I quickly grew out of the church
- 3:35Speaker 4: culture at a young age and I never really believed
- 3:38Speaker 4: in any of it.
- 3:40Speaker 2: And I still don't. So that's where I stand on
- 3:42Speaker 2: the religion thing.
- 3:44Speaker 1: More people say they're spiritual, not religious.
- 3:46Speaker 3: But like the law of attraction is one of those
- 3:48Speaker 3: things where it's spiritual, but it's also some kind of
- 3:50Speaker 3: scientific undertones to it.
- 3:52Speaker 1: So it's probably like the perfect mesh.
- 3:55Speaker 3: We as humans, I think we're always going to need
- 3:56Speaker 3: something outside of ourself to believe in. And I think
- 3:59Speaker 3: that's where it comes into play. And I think why
- 4:01Speaker 3: a lot of people criticize it because like, oh, you're
- 4:03Speaker 3: just swapping out Christianity for this new age mumbo jumbo
- 4:07Speaker 3: and you're swapping out all these other things for like
- 4:10Speaker 3: all this new age stuff. But I think it goes
- 4:12Speaker 3: deeper than that. So let's get into the law of attraction.
- 4:16Speaker 3: And for people who don't know what the law of
- 4:17Speaker 3: attraction is, it's basically how can I describe it, Imani?
- 4:20Speaker 1: It's like.
- 4:21Speaker 4: What you think about, what you project out into the universe,
- 4:25Speaker 4: you're going to attract it back to you. So it's
- 4:27Speaker 4: kind of like it's a mirror. Your life is a
- 4:29Speaker 4: reflection of your own thoughts.
- 4:30Speaker 2: And your own beliefs.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Whatever you give your energy to and attention to, it'll
- 4:34Speaker 3: come back to you. And like whatever you focus on,
- 4:37Speaker 3: you're attracting to your life.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 4:39Speaker 3: So let's go through a few of the big sticking
- 4:43Speaker 3: points of the law of attraction. And I want to
- 4:45Speaker 3: get your thoughts on these things. Ask the universe for
- 4:52Speaker 3: what you want, not for what you don't want.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:55Speaker 3: What are your thoughts on, like, every day when you
- 4:58Speaker 3: wake up in your own personal life, it's like, how
- 5:00Speaker 3: do you really use that to your benefit? Like, what
- 5:02Speaker 3: are your thoughts when you wake up? It's like, this
- 5:04Speaker 3: is how I want this day to.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Go, or.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and that is honestly one of my particular struggles
- 5:10Speaker 4: because I'm honestly not a morning person. I try to
- 5:12Speaker 4: set my alarm maybe 30, you know, minutes or an
- 5:15Speaker 4: hour earlier so I can kind of wake up slowly.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I like to, number one, thank, you know, I do
- 5:23Speaker 4: believe in God, you know, higher power. So I just
- 5:26Speaker 4: thank God for giving me another day to, you know,
- 5:29Speaker 4: to learn and to grow and to experience life. So
- 5:33Speaker 4: I express gratitude, which is a big part of the
- 5:36Speaker 4: law of attraction is gratitude.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah. And then I like to meditate.
- 5:40Speaker 4: I take a shower because that to me is kind of,
- 5:44Speaker 4: it has some importance for me, like, you know, washing away,
- 5:47Speaker 4: you know, whatever.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Stress is, it gives me a lot of clarity.
- 5:51Speaker 4: I take that time to really think and I kind
- 5:54Speaker 4: of meditate while I shower. And then as soon as
- 5:56Speaker 4: I get out of the shower, just so that I,
- 5:58Speaker 4: I condition myself to meditate. I always meditate as soon
- 6:01Speaker 4: as I get out of the shower. So it's like a,
- 6:03Speaker 4: it's like a one, two like action.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Now, what do you meditate on?
- 6:06Speaker 3: Is it like, are you visualizing anything or it's just like,
- 6:09Speaker 3: just woosah, you're just getting everything off your mind?
- 6:12Speaker 4: There's a big difference between meditating and praying. When you're praying,
- 6:16Speaker 4: you're more so, that's conscious. You're exerting your mental energy
- 6:21Speaker 4: out into the world. Like, you know, God, thank you
- 6:22Speaker 4: for this. And, you know, please let me have this.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Please let me have that. When you're meditating, you're releasing,
- 6:27Speaker 4: you know, your consciousness and you're allowing whatever thoughts are
- 6:32Speaker 4: stemming from your inner being to just rise up and
- 6:35Speaker 4: you're just letting them come to you. And you're not
- 6:38Speaker 4: fighting them. You're not trying to control them. You're letting
- 6:41Speaker 4: it come to you. You're going to you're going to
- 6:42Speaker 4: thought you're going to come into your in your mind.
- 6:44Speaker 4: You're going to experience it and you release it. So
- 6:47Speaker 4: I just focus on the deep breathing and then I
- 6:49Speaker 4: can actually feel my senses loosening up.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I can feel the.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Tension leaving my body and I kind of get like
- 6:56Speaker 4: somewhat of somewhat of like a tingling sensation. And then
- 6:59Speaker 4: I and then thoughts and ideas start to come to me.
- 7:02Speaker 4: And it just gives me clarity. Like sometimes I get messages. Sometimes,
- 7:06Speaker 4: you know, I just hear things like, you know, don't
- 7:10Speaker 4: worry about this or you should do that or you
- 7:11Speaker 4: should do this.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And I just receive messages.
- 7:14Speaker 4: And then once I get the same thought repetitively, I
- 7:18Speaker 4: know that I'm finished. So I usually meditate for only
- 7:21Speaker 4: like 10 minutes, maybe 15 to max.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I talked to a lot of friends about this. There's
- 7:27Speaker 3: the term God. And then in the new age movement,
- 7:30Speaker 3: they use the term universe a lot. Do you interchange
- 7:33Speaker 3: universe with God or is it two different entities?
- 7:36Speaker 2: I don't really associate God with the universe.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I think that I do understand how some people use
- 7:43Speaker 4: them interchangeably, but how I think, and this is just
- 7:46Speaker 4: my personal philosophy. I don't try to exert this on
- 7:49Speaker 4: other people, but what I do think is that we
- 7:52Speaker 4: are God. Like I'm God, you're God. I think God
- 7:55Speaker 4: is within us. I think God lives within all of us.
- 7:59Speaker 4: The thing is, people are so disassociated with their God
- 8:03Speaker 4: self that they don't recognize that they are God.
- 8:06Speaker 2: We are our own God. Like, I'm my own God.
- 8:09Speaker 2: You're your own God. We are God. And we create. Like,
- 8:13Speaker 2: we create. Life comes out of me. You know, life
- 8:16Speaker 2: comes out of you. We are God. We create life.
- 8:19Speaker 2: You know, we create everything.
- 8:20Speaker 4: See how I just said I meditated and I got
- 8:22Speaker 4: a message that rose up from my core to my
- 8:25Speaker 4: mental and it resonated. That's the same process that happens
- 8:28Speaker 4: to every single person right before they create something.
- 8:31Speaker 2: You know, so it all starts from within.
- 8:34Speaker 4: So God is within us. Our flesh and blood that's
- 8:36Speaker 4: physical and it will expire. But our God spirit, it
- 8:40Speaker 4: will never die. You know, like a soul, you know, soul, spirit, God.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Those things are interchangeable. The universe is something outside of
- 8:49Speaker 4: us that I think we create.
- 8:50Speaker 2: We create within the universe. You know, it's a realm.
- 8:54Speaker 4: So I don't think God and universe are interchangeable. I
- 8:57Speaker 4: think God's spirit soul are interchangeable.
- 9:00Speaker 2: You have a soul. I have a soul.
- 9:01Speaker 4: When we die, our soul leaves our body. But I
- 9:04Speaker 4: think it reincarnates all over again.
- 9:07Speaker 2: It's energy. It never dies.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Well said. Well said.
- 9:10Speaker 3: What are your tricks when it comes to like, I'm
- 9:12Speaker 3: going to manifest a good day versus a bad day,
- 9:15Speaker 3: not just the big end of the road shit.
- 9:17Speaker 4: We all have energy and our energy is, it has
- 9:21Speaker 4: a vibration and there's low vibration and there's high vibration.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Low vibrations are feeling like fear, guilt, shame, anger, jealousy, hatred.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Those are low vibrational feelings. And then the high vibrational
- 9:33Speaker 4: feelings are things like love, joy, appreciation, happiness, laughter, you know, love.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Those are high vibrational things. And all throughout the day,
- 9:42Speaker 4: we're always up and down that scale. We're up and
- 9:44Speaker 4: down that scale. You know, you hear this, it brings
- 9:46Speaker 4: your vibe down. You hear that, it brings it up.
- 9:48Speaker 2: So we're always fluctuating.
- 9:50Speaker 4: So what I do to set myself up to have
- 9:52Speaker 4: a good day is I meditate because it brings me
- 9:54Speaker 4: back to zero.
- 9:56Speaker 2: It resets me. you know, or sleep, you know, that
- 9:58Speaker 2: resets me.
- 9:59Speaker 4: But the thing is, every time we step outside of
- 10:02Speaker 4: our home, we're getting attacked.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Our spirit is always getting attacked.
- 10:06Speaker 4: This person's saying that, that person's saying that, your boss
- 10:08Speaker 4: looked at you like that, the traffic is like that.
- 10:11Speaker 2: You know, we're always like.
- 10:13Speaker 4: reacting our spirit is always reacting to our to the
- 10:16Speaker 4: sensations that we have out in the universe and that's
- 10:19Speaker 4: just always going to happen every single day we can't
- 10:21Speaker 4: avoid that we always can't be up here all day
- 10:24Speaker 4: every day we wouldn't be human so the meditation it
- 10:27Speaker 4: sets me up to be able to handle the things
- 10:30Speaker 4: that are going to come my way from a more
- 10:33Speaker 4: neutral space and it gives me intention. It makes my
- 10:36Speaker 4: day more intentional because I might meditate and I might
- 10:39Speaker 4: be like, all right, today I need you to just
- 10:42Speaker 4: focus on getting your money in this certain kind of way.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I need you to just focus on that.
- 10:47Speaker 4: So it gives me a sense of purpose that when
- 10:49Speaker 4: I'm going out into the world, I'm so focused on
- 10:51Speaker 4: what it is I'm trying to accomplish.
- 10:53Speaker 2: All the other extra stuff doesn't really get a.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Chance to affect me the same way because I'm focused
- 10:59Speaker 4: on What I need to accomplish. Some people, they're not focused.
- 11:02Speaker 4: They're not focused on what their purpose is. So it's
- 11:05Speaker 4: easy for them to get sidetracked. You're drifting. One of
- 11:09Speaker 4: the books that I would love.
- 11:10Speaker 1: To recommend that really- Napoleon Hill.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it's by Napoleon Hill. And it's called, you know, Conversations.
- 11:16Speaker 4: It's called A Conversation with the Devil. Something to that effect.
- 11:20Speaker 4: And that book was so controversial when it was written
- 11:24Speaker 4: back in 1937 that the book was so controversial that
- 11:28Speaker 4: it didn't get released until.
- 11:29Speaker 2: After he died.
- 11:31Speaker 1: A long time after he died.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Because it is the most simplistic book that makes living
- 11:38Speaker 4: this human experience as simple as The Day is Blue.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a great book. I highly recommend all Napoleon
- 11:46Speaker 3: Hill's books. And another book that came to mind when
- 11:49Speaker 3: you're talking about the whole drifting thing was the master
- 11:51Speaker 3: key system, I think was the first book I read
- 11:53Speaker 3: on the law of attraction or those concepts. And he
- 11:57Speaker 3: starts off with sit still. I want you to sit still,
- 12:01Speaker 3: not think about anything.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It was hard.
- 12:04Speaker 3: And it took me probably a good three or four
- 12:07Speaker 3: days to really just get through that first step of like,
- 12:09Speaker 3: shut it down and just sit still.
- 12:11Speaker 1: And it, It works wonders.
- 12:14Speaker 3: They're trying to teach you to erase all the brainwashing
- 12:16Speaker 3: that you do every day to yourself. News, news, news, opinion, opinion, opinion, entertainment, entertainment, entertainment,
- 12:24Speaker 3: and erase all that shit and get back to the essence,
- 12:27Speaker 3: to your true self, and then go out into the world.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You're going to see it in a whole nother light.
- 12:32Speaker 3: And I think a lot of people aren't disciplined enough
- 12:34Speaker 3: to do that because they haven't been exposed to stuff
- 12:36Speaker 3: like the master key system or Napoleon Hill's work.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And when I did the, was it the.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Unicorn delusion or men don't love women like you bonus chapters,
- 12:44Speaker 3: it was all about GL. I'm good up until I
- 12:48Speaker 3: have to interact with people. And then I forget all
- 12:50Speaker 3: this stuff. I forget it so much. And so I
- 12:53Speaker 3: did a chapter called stuck. how to get back to
- 12:56Speaker 3: that point after you read the book and go out
- 12:58Speaker 3: to the world. It was all about meditating. It's all
- 13:00Speaker 3: about like, look, shut it down. Look at everything as
- 13:04Speaker 3: a story. Like when you hear a new story, that's like, oh,
- 13:06Speaker 3: two people died in a car crash. Are you going
- 13:08Speaker 3: to take that with you? The Corona outbreak is all
- 13:12Speaker 3: these people can die. Are you going to live with
- 13:14Speaker 3: that every day and keep consuming that shit, or you're
- 13:18Speaker 3: going to turn it off and say, okay, let me
- 13:20Speaker 3: get back to who I am and what I want.
- 13:22Speaker 2: And what you need to do.
- 13:24Speaker 3: It sounds selfish. Like, oh, I want to care about people.
- 13:26Speaker 3: It's like, you are your own God. You have to
- 13:29Speaker 3: be selfish. You have to say, okay, this is my life.
- 13:31Speaker 3: I'm not living for the person on the news. I'm
- 13:33Speaker 3: not living for the politics of the day. I'm living
- 13:36Speaker 3: to make my life better and make my experience in
- 13:38Speaker 3: this playground the best it can be. And a lot
- 13:40Speaker 3: of people don't, they get caught up in the nonsense
- 13:42Speaker 3: and the noise and the chaos of our everyday life
- 13:44Speaker 3: and they can't do it. So Those two books, I think,
- 13:47Speaker 3: Outwitting the Devil and The Master Key System are two
- 13:50Speaker 3: great books when it comes to like why you should meditate.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 2: And I need you to send me that chapter, by
- 13:55Speaker 2: the way, that stuff chapter. I need that.
- 13:58Speaker 1: You see what she did there? Y'all see what she did?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 1: She pulled a real spark move right there. Hey, I
- 14:03Speaker 1: need you.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I need that chapter.
- 14:05Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean, and a lot of people say this,
- 14:08Speaker 4: like control what you can control. So if he's sick
- 14:10Speaker 4: and you want to empathize to what you want to do,
- 14:12Speaker 4: you want to inject it in yourself too.
- 14:13Speaker 2: And now you guys are both are sick. No, you know,
- 14:15Speaker 2: what can I do?
- 14:16Speaker 4: You know, if you're compelled by this coronavirus, maybe it
- 14:20Speaker 4: might be nice for you to do something that might
- 14:22Speaker 4: help someone else, you know, maybe, you know, create, create
- 14:26Speaker 4: a solution, you know? People need to be more solution-oriented.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Where there's sickness and illness, there's health and wellness. If
- 14:34Speaker 4: you believe in Jesus, Jesus only saw people well. And
- 14:38Speaker 4: another person that I listen to on the daily that
- 14:41Speaker 4: breaks down the law of attraction to the point where
- 14:43Speaker 4: a kindergarten couldn't understand it is Abraham Hicks.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 14:50Speaker 4: The inspiration behind the movie, The Secret, they actually stole
- 14:53Speaker 4: the whole concept from her and then cut her out
- 14:56Speaker 4: of it because they didn't like how she used terms
- 14:58Speaker 4: like energy and the universe and, you know, things like that.
- 15:02Speaker 2: They thought people wouldn't.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Be able to accept that similar to the way Napoleon
- 15:06Speaker 4: Hill also, you know, had that resistance to exposing certain ideologies.
- 15:11Speaker 4: You know, she says about being selfish because you can't,
- 15:14Speaker 4: if you're not well-educated, How are you going to help
- 15:16Speaker 4: or benefit others?
- 15:18Speaker 2: You have to be your best self.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Your glass has to be full so it can run
- 15:22Speaker 4: it over so you can bless others.
- 15:25Speaker 3: The key is, like we said, solution-minded, not worried-minded.
- 15:28Speaker 1: It's like so many people worry, worry, worry, worry. What's
- 15:30Speaker 1: the solution? Don't give me the problem.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the solution?
- 15:33Speaker 4: And even at my job, my manager was like, we
- 15:36Speaker 4: don't come into meetings to talk about problems. We come
- 15:39Speaker 4: into the meetings... to present solutions. And in any business world,
- 15:42Speaker 4: any corporate world, these are the movers and shakers. You
- 15:45Speaker 4: want to talk about people that are billionaires and are wealthy,
- 15:49Speaker 4: they're solution-minded because they saw a need, they saw a problem,
- 15:54Speaker 4: and they created a solution.
- 15:56Speaker 2: And that's how they got rich.
- 15:58Speaker 4: That's really the secret of wealth, finding something that people
- 16:01Speaker 4: need and providing it, providing value, providing service.
- 16:06Speaker 2: That's how you make money.
- 16:07Speaker 1: And thinking three steps ahead with the solutions to stuff.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Like one of my mentors was Steven Bochco who created
- 16:12Speaker 3: NYPD Blue among a lot of shows he recently passed.
- 16:16Speaker 3: But one of his big things was don't come into
- 16:20Speaker 3: my office telling me what's wrong. Come and tell me
- 16:24Speaker 3: what you're prepared to do about what you see as
- 16:26Speaker 3: a wrong.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 16:28Speaker 3: That's such a genius mindset. And I learned so much
- 16:31Speaker 3: from him just being around people who like a different
- 16:33Speaker 3: way of thinking.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Where everyone else was like, Oh my God, what are
- 16:35Speaker 1: we going to do?
- 16:36Speaker 3: It's so horrible. Like, no, think on this shit, figure
- 16:38Speaker 3: it out. Let's keep it moving. We don't got time
- 16:40Speaker 3: to fucking cry.
- 16:42Speaker 2: That victim mentality.
- 16:43Speaker 4: You know, no one has sympathy for that because at
- 16:46Speaker 4: the end of the day, anyone can be a victim. Oh,
- 16:49Speaker 4: it's because I'm black. Oh, it's because I'm a woman. Oh,
- 16:52Speaker 4: it's because the sky is blue. Like you can't make excuses, excuses, excuses.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Like you really have to, like I said, be focused,
- 17:00Speaker 4: be clear, be intentional. And always move in the direction
- 17:05Speaker 4: of what feels good to you, what feels right to you,
- 17:09Speaker 4: and what you feel like will make you happy. Because
- 17:12Speaker 4: no one can make you happy. No amount of money,
- 17:14Speaker 4: no status can make you happy. What makes you happy
- 17:17Speaker 4: is moving in the direction of your purpose. So people
- 17:21Speaker 4: need to find their purpose. We all have a purpose.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Every single human being has a God self, and that
- 17:26Speaker 4: God self has a purpose. But some people, they're so
- 17:30Speaker 4: clouded and bogged down with the opinions of others, the
- 17:34Speaker 4: woe is me mentality, the victim mentality. They want to
- 17:39Speaker 4: cry all day about how the world has wronged them.
- 17:43Speaker 4: I can see that these people aren't going to make
- 17:45Speaker 4: it far in life. You can't think that way. You
- 17:48Speaker 4: have to see opportunities. Like you were just mentioning earlier,
- 17:51Speaker 4: when you meditate and you raise your vibration and then
- 17:53Speaker 4: you go out into the world, you're probably going to
- 17:56Speaker 4: start aligning with opportunities. You're going to start meeting people.
- 17:58Speaker 4: You're going to see opportunities instead of issues. You know,
- 18:01Speaker 4: you're going to see ways for you to thrive. And
- 18:04Speaker 4: you're going to act in those ways because you're going
- 18:06Speaker 4: to naturally be drawn to those things. Like I started
- 18:08Speaker 4: the conversation saying, like attracts like. If I'm looking for
- 18:12Speaker 4: an opportunity and you're an opportunity, we're going to see
- 18:15Speaker 4: a match here.
- 18:16Speaker 2: If I'm looking, we're going to sync up.
- 18:18Speaker 4: If I'm looking for a reason to complain, I'm going
- 18:21Speaker 4: to find a reason to complain.
- 18:24Speaker 2: It's really that simple.
- 18:25Speaker 3: And you're going to find other people that enjoy complaining
- 18:27Speaker 3: because what you get, you see this a lot on
- 18:29Speaker 3: social media, is like you get the group thought where
- 18:31Speaker 3: it's all complainers or all victim mentality people. And it's
- 18:35Speaker 3: where they go and then they cheer on their own
- 18:37Speaker 3: complaints and they cry and they whine.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And it's a community of low vibrational people.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Low vibrational people. That's a real serious thing.
- 18:45Speaker 1: And they live their life on these devices.
- 18:47Speaker 3: They don't realize you're lowering your vibration just by fucking
- 18:50Speaker 3: reading half of these tweets.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Just by reading it.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Oof. Just by reading it.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I stay off of it as much as I can,
- 18:57Speaker 1: but it's a mess.
- 19:00Speaker 2: It's inevitable.
- 19:02Speaker 4: We're always going to cross paths with high vibrational, low vibrational.
- 19:06Speaker 4: But what makes the difference is what we focus on
- 19:09Speaker 4: and what we latch on to and what we get
- 19:11Speaker 4: stuck on. You're never going to only meet people who
- 19:15Speaker 4: are well-wishers and happy-go-lucky and solution-oriented. No, you're going to
- 19:20Speaker 4: meet everything in between. And that's where the meditation comes
- 19:24Speaker 4: back in so that you don't lose yourself trying to...
- 19:28Speaker 4: you know, sync up with other people because sometimes people
- 19:30Speaker 4: can bring your vibe down. People say sometimes, bitch, don't
- 19:34Speaker 4: kill my vibe. Meditating isn't the only way to lift
- 19:37Speaker 4: your vibration. You know, for some people it's working out.
- 19:41Speaker 4: For some people it's dancing. For some people it's watching
- 19:43Speaker 4: a funny movie. For some people it's sleep.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I talk to myself. You know, I provide my own
- 19:49Speaker 2: therapies to myself. I release. You are going to feel
- 19:52Speaker 2: negative emotion.
- 19:53Speaker 4: You know, I think people misconstrue about, you know, law
- 19:56Speaker 4: of attraction or emotion or vibes is that you always
- 19:59Speaker 4: need to be high. You always need to be positive.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Like they try to bash like, oh, well, you're not
- 20:03Speaker 4: being so positive, you know? And it's just like, that's
- 20:05Speaker 4: not what it's about.
- 20:06Speaker 2: You're still human. You still can feel.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Sadness and grief and pain and all those human emotions.
- 20:12Speaker 4: The difference is you don't get stuck there. You know,
- 20:15Speaker 4: you feel it, you know, you process it and then
- 20:18Speaker 4: you let it go and you move forward.
- 20:20Speaker 3: You know, there's also a hack when it comes to
- 20:23Speaker 3: detaching yourself from certain things. Like people think about detachment,
- 20:26Speaker 3: they think about Buddhism or Hinduism. And it's like, just
- 20:30Speaker 3: stop being human and stop feeling. But detachment isn't that.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Sit back in the midst of all the bullshit going on,
- 20:36Speaker 3: no matter if you're at work and drama's going on.
- 20:38Speaker 3: If you're on social media and you see some bullshit,
- 20:40Speaker 3: if you just step back and say, let me remember
- 20:43Speaker 3: who I am. I'm not this person playing this game.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I'm a higher being than this. You can step out
- 20:48Speaker 3: of your own self and see life for what it is.
- 20:51Speaker 3: This is amusement park. That's a ride, that's a ride,
- 20:54Speaker 3: that's a ride. I choose not to get on any
- 20:56Speaker 3: of these rides right now. I choose just to sit here,
- 20:59Speaker 3: and observe the other people on these rides for a moment.
- 21:02Speaker 1: And then let me jump back into the game of
- 21:04Speaker 1: human life and do what I want to do.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's what you choose to engage in.
- 21:09Speaker 4: Something that I wrote to myself the other day are
- 21:11Speaker 4: that thoughts aren't real until you take action on them,
- 21:14Speaker 4: you know? In the movie, The Secret, it's very fluffy
- 21:18Speaker 4: to me. It kind of brushes the surface, but... It
- 21:21Speaker 4: makes people think like, oh, if I think about a
- 21:23Speaker 4: huge house, I'll manifest a huge house.
- 21:26Speaker 2: But that's not really how it goes. It's your thoughts, obviously.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Encourage your feeling and people react and they take action
- 21:35Speaker 4: based off of emotion.
- 21:37Speaker 2: So.
- 21:38Speaker 4: you have to always understand, is this emotion coming from,
- 21:41Speaker 4: is this emotion.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Coming from a positive place or a negative place?
- 21:44Speaker 4: If it's coming from a negative place, I might not
- 21:46Speaker 4: want to act on this emotion because something negative is
- 21:49Speaker 4: going to manifest from that. If it's coming from a
- 21:53Speaker 4: positive place, I would probably want to move forward with
- 21:56Speaker 4: this and engage with this because something positive will come
- 22:00Speaker 4: from this.
- 22:01Speaker 2: And that's called consciousness. Some people don't take that moment to.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Decipher Is this inspired action coming from a positive or
- 22:10Speaker 4: negative place? The power is, which do you choose to
- 22:15Speaker 4: engage in? Do you engage in your higher self or
- 22:18Speaker 4: do you engage with your lower self?
- 22:20Speaker 2: And it's very apparent.
- 22:21Speaker 4: You can step into someone's life and see what way
- 22:24Speaker 4: they usually tilt towards by what their life is like.
- 22:29Speaker 4: There's people like myself, I have no drama in my life.
- 22:31Speaker 4: I don't have drama with guys, women, work. My life
- 22:34Speaker 4: is peaceful. That's not by accident. It's because I choose
- 22:38Speaker 4: to walk away from things that threaten my peace. And
- 22:42Speaker 4: everyone has that power, you know? Everyone has that power.
- 22:47Speaker 3: A friend, he told me not too long ago, I
- 22:50Speaker 3: should have been a millionaire by now. And I said
- 22:52Speaker 3: to him, how would you have become a millionaire by now?
- 22:55Speaker 3: He's like, because if I wouldn't have picked those wrong
- 22:57Speaker 3: women and had those three kids, if you wouldn't have
- 23:00Speaker 3: put your dick in three different women and had three
- 23:01Speaker 3: different kids, you would have been rich by now.
- 23:04Speaker 1: And he got mad at me. He's like, you're not
- 23:06Speaker 1: listening to me.
- 23:07Speaker 3: I'm saying it slowed up the things I could have
- 23:09Speaker 3: done to make myself a millionaire. And I'm like, no,
- 23:12Speaker 3: you're not listening to me. Tell me exactly what you
- 23:14Speaker 3: would have done if you had no kids, no child
- 23:17Speaker 3: support to become a millionaire. He stammered, I would have
- 23:19Speaker 3: did something. When people come across the law of attraction,
- 23:23Speaker 3: it's like they come in it with this negative mindset.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Like I'm going to sit here and try to meditate
- 23:27Speaker 3: and try to use this stuff that they're talking about
- 23:29Speaker 3: because I want to manifest a BMW. I want to
- 23:32Speaker 3: manifest the house. I need a bigger paycheck. And they
- 23:35Speaker 3: come into it, like you just said, for the wrong
- 23:37Speaker 3: reasons or for negative reasons. When shit comes from like
- 23:40Speaker 3: a weird and dark and ignorant place, you don't think
- 23:44Speaker 3: you deserve anything.
- 23:45Speaker 1: That's why you're in a position you're in in the
- 23:46Speaker 1: first place.
- 23:47Speaker 3: You don't think you deserve happiness or you think somebody
- 23:50Speaker 3: took your happiness away from you.
- 23:51Speaker 1: So it's all this negativity and hate.
- 23:53Speaker 3: So like the wave you're collapsing is all this bullshit
- 23:56Speaker 3: that's going to give you bits and pieces of what
- 23:58Speaker 3: you want, but the margin chunk is going to be roadblock, roadblock,
- 24:02Speaker 3: because you're trying to take a shortcut to get where
- 24:04Speaker 3: you want.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 4: The thing about the law of attraction is the action
- 24:09Speaker 4: part is the key. You know, JBZ is successful because
- 24:13Speaker 4: he has tangible albums that he released that people can hear.
- 24:18Speaker 4: If it just came to his brain and never went
- 24:20Speaker 4: past that, we wouldn't know his name today. But that
- 24:24Speaker 4: took thought and then it took action.
- 24:26Speaker 3: He had the skill to make all that shit make
- 24:29Speaker 3: sense and work. He wasn't Nas, but he became bigger
- 24:32Speaker 3: than Nas for other reasons. And so that's a point,
- 24:36Speaker 3: a testament to his own determination. They say, believe that
- 24:39Speaker 3: you'll get what you want and then take action. Believe
- 24:42Speaker 3: that you'll get what you want. You have to believe
- 24:44Speaker 3: in that shit.
- 24:45Speaker 2: You have to believe it first.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:47Speaker 2: It starts in the mind.
- 24:48Speaker 4: See, the thing about the law of attraction is it's
- 24:50Speaker 4: about having the pure intent. It's about having the pure belief.
- 24:54Speaker 4: And then from that comes the inspired action. And then
- 24:58Speaker 4: you'll know when you're in your inspired action because it'll
- 25:01Speaker 4: feel like flow. It's a word called flow. And flow
- 25:04Speaker 4: is an actual, it's a scientific term. And it's just
- 25:06Speaker 4: when your beliefs and your thoughts and your actions and
- 25:09Speaker 4: your feelings are all aligned. And when they're all aligned,
- 25:12Speaker 4: nothing can stop you. No one can stop you. But
- 25:14Speaker 4: the thing is, you have to get into alignment. Your
- 25:17Speaker 4: faith has to outweigh your doubt. And once it does,
- 25:20Speaker 4: you're going to be unstoppable. Look at Cardi B.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Cardi B was just a stripper four years ago in
- 25:24Speaker 2: the Bronx.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Busted. You know? You think everyone around her was telling
- 25:30Speaker 4: her that this is what her destiny.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Was going to be? Who was telling her that?
- 25:35Speaker 1: Herself.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Herself.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Cardi B is no more special than me or you
- 25:41Speaker 4: or my neighbor downstairs. The only difference is that girl
- 25:45Speaker 4: believed in herself intensely.
- 25:49Speaker 3: When people try to dismiss the law of attraction and
- 25:52Speaker 3: all these concepts, we're not teaching the younger generation how
- 25:56Speaker 3: to believe in themselves on this level. When I was
- 25:59Speaker 3: in college and I used to flirt with rapping a lot,
- 26:03Speaker 3: but like I loved it, but I didn't really believe
- 26:06Speaker 3: in myself enough to really do stuff. But I did
- 26:08Speaker 3: have this one thought. I was like, I know I'm
- 26:11Speaker 3: good enough. to go to one of these labels and
- 26:14Speaker 3: probably get a deal. Probably seven months after me thinking that,
- 26:17Speaker 3: I find myself like sitting in a black couch at
- 26:19Speaker 3: Sony Studios with the Rough Riders, Jadakiss, DMX, all these
- 26:22Speaker 3: people when we rapping and they're like, hell man, you
- 26:25Speaker 3: gotta come here. And I realized at that moment, I
- 26:28Speaker 3: didn't really want the rap career. I was like, I
- 26:32Speaker 3: would rather be in college focusing on filming other shit.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Like this is fun, but like, it's kind of low
- 26:38Speaker 3: key born. And I don't think any of these people
- 26:40Speaker 3: are making money. Cause like I had to, I had
- 26:42Speaker 3: to drive Jadakiss somewhere and I realized like this.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Guy don't got none of this shit in the videos.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Like it's, you realize like the fake life that these
- 26:50Speaker 3: rappers were living and like, and like DMX is like
- 26:52Speaker 3: bumming for money.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm like, this isn't, this isn't what I want. This
- 26:56Speaker 1: isn't what I want.
- 26:57Speaker 3: And then you see, like, like you said, you set
- 26:59Speaker 3: your intentions on something that you think you want, but
- 27:01Speaker 3: it's like, you don't truly believe in it. And then
- 27:03Speaker 3: they show you like why you shouldn't believe. It gives
- 27:05Speaker 3: you a certain peek into like what you think you want.
- 27:08Speaker 3: And then it's like, all right, well, step back. That's
- 27:10Speaker 3: not really what you want.
- 27:11Speaker 2: And then you get it. And then you realize this
- 27:13Speaker 2: is not what I wanted. And then you, and then you,
- 27:16Speaker 2: You tweak.
- 27:17Speaker 3: It wasn't really my real dream. It was just something
- 27:19Speaker 3: that I flirted with because I thought it sounded good,
- 27:21Speaker 3: looked good. I was caught up in seeing these images
- 27:24Speaker 3: on TV of the shiny suit Diddy and Mace type shit.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Like, oh, that would be a fun life to live.
- 27:28Speaker 1: But that's not the real life of that shit.
- 27:30Speaker 2: It really isn't.
- 27:31Speaker 3: If we teach the younger people, really think about what
- 27:35Speaker 3: you want. And it's OK to have new thoughts after
- 27:38Speaker 3: your initial thoughts. But just really believe in yourself and
- 27:41Speaker 3: believe in what you want to do because you're going
- 27:43Speaker 3: to discover your passion eventually.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Trust how you feel. Your feelings are your guide. You know,
- 27:48Speaker 4: they're not set in stone. They guide you.
- 27:50Speaker 2: It's like a soft nudge this way, a soft nudge
- 27:53Speaker 2: that way. They're just guiding you. You know, have you
- 27:55Speaker 2: ever got that feeling in your chest where it's like, oh,
- 27:57Speaker 2: this is the wrong thing to do? Mm-hmm. Of course.
- 28:00Speaker 2: And then you do it anyway, and then you're asked
- 28:01Speaker 2: in jail for 30 years?
- 28:03Speaker 1: I don't think I went.
- 28:05Speaker 2: To jail, but yeah. Ask any convict. Did you ever
- 28:07Speaker 2: get that ting in your chest? They'll be like, hell yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 2: You know? But some people... They don't listen to themselves.
- 28:16Speaker 4: I just watched a clip of Jay-Z himself saying when
- 28:18Speaker 4: he was younger, he used to get these thoughts and
- 28:21Speaker 4: he used to have intuition telling him certain things, but
- 28:23Speaker 4: he's been like, nah, nah, I'm good.
- 28:25Speaker 2: I got this. He was a drug dealer. I got this.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 28:27Speaker 4: You don't see this, you know, little petty ass car
- 28:29Speaker 4: he had at the time. You know, he had someone
- 28:32Speaker 4: behind him pushing it and slapping it into him. Everyone
- 28:36Speaker 4: isn't blessed to have someone that sees the God in
- 28:39Speaker 4: them all the time. That's why it's also imperative that
- 28:42Speaker 4: you surround yourself with people that also see the God
- 28:45Speaker 4: in you.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Because that's a choice. You know, that's a choice.
- 28:49Speaker 4: And you got to find your soul tribe. Everyone does
- 28:51Speaker 4: not see the God in you. And that's okay. But
- 28:54Speaker 4: you have to learn how to walk away from those
- 28:56Speaker 4: people because they will bring your vibration down and you
- 28:59Speaker 4: will suffer and your life will get derailed because you
- 29:03Speaker 4: know how we were saying how your vibe is like
- 29:05Speaker 4: this all day? Imagine you live with a person who's
- 29:08Speaker 4: bringing your vibe down every damn day or your boss or.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Your best friend or your mom.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Another thing Napoleon Hill talks about a lot is masterminds.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Masterminds is when people that have the same idea, the
- 29:23Speaker 4: same intention, the same goals come together. That's when you
- 29:27Speaker 4: really see shit go off. Because imagine my mind is
- 29:31Speaker 4: strong and I have a determination to believe, but imagine
- 29:34Speaker 4: if I got three or four people and we all
- 29:36Speaker 4: pushing it.
- 29:36Speaker 2: It's going. It's for sure going.
- 29:39Speaker 4: But it's you're going with people that are pushing this
- 29:41Speaker 4: way and then some people are pushing that way and some.
- 29:44Speaker 2: People are cutting holes in the bottom, you're not going
- 29:47Speaker 2: to go anywhere.
- 29:48Speaker 3: When I first read about the whole mastermind thing, it
- 29:50Speaker 3: was after I've already experienced the power of it.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I think it was when we did the Black Girls
- 29:55Speaker 1: Are Easy TV show.
- 29:57Speaker 3: And the group that came together, because when it comes
- 30:01Speaker 3: to TV and film shit, you don't do it on
- 30:02Speaker 3: your own.
- 30:03Speaker 1: It's a fucking group of people.
- 30:05Speaker 2: It's a team.
- 30:06Speaker 3: And it went from like me sitting, writing.
- 30:10Speaker 1: These blogs to like, oh no, now it's at this level.
- 30:13Speaker 3: It's like me and a man, a woman, a Jewish guy,
- 30:16Speaker 3: three white, we're all there for the same cause. How
- 30:19Speaker 3: can you not... winning something like that. And then throughout
- 30:22Speaker 3: my Hollywood career, it's been like the same thing. Like
- 30:25Speaker 3: every project that I've sold.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I'll get a call. Hey, you want to work on this?
- 30:28Speaker 1: Or you got an idea for this? Boom. Two months later,
- 30:32Speaker 1: It's a project. We sold it.
- 30:34Speaker 3: How did that come about? Because you create this system
- 30:37Speaker 3: of friends. You can be a lone wolf to a
- 30:39Speaker 3: certain extent, but when it comes to a larger level,
- 30:43Speaker 3: you're always going to need those like-minded people to come
- 30:46Speaker 3: and form like fucking Voltron and actually do something. Yeah.
- 30:49Speaker 4: And that's one thing that is very important that I
- 30:51Speaker 4: personally work on. Cause like I was telling Gio in
- 30:53Speaker 4: the beginning, I'm a loner. I do, I am, you know,
- 30:56Speaker 4: the type of person that, um, I'm picky, you know,
- 31:00Speaker 4: about certain things. You have to learn how to co-create
- 31:03Speaker 4: with others. You're not going to make it far in
- 31:05Speaker 4: life thinking that you can do it on your own.
- 31:08Speaker 2: You don't want this opinion. You don't want that opinion.
- 31:10Speaker 2: That's negative energy.
- 31:11Speaker 4: You need to learn how to hear other people's opinions,
- 31:14Speaker 4: keep what you can keep and release the rest. But
- 31:20Speaker 4: when you're on your purpose, you're going to find other
- 31:22Speaker 4: people that are on their purpose. And you guys' purpose
- 31:25Speaker 4: might collide and join forces. And then you got a
- 31:28Speaker 4: whole team. And then you got a squad.
- 31:30Speaker 2: And then you got an empire.
- 31:32Speaker 4: All these big corporations are all hundreds of people working
- 31:35Speaker 4: towards the same goal.
- 31:37Speaker 2: That's why they're major. That's why they're huge.
- 31:40Speaker 4: And that's why a lot of these artists don't have
- 31:42Speaker 4: as much money as you think they have. Yes, you
- 31:44Speaker 4: have to understand. Whatever they're making, they're splitting it up between.
- 31:48Speaker 2: So many people that you don't know about.
- 31:52Speaker 4: These labels, you know, Meg Thee Stallion just had a
- 31:54Speaker 4: whole big thing about it and you get blinded in
- 31:57Speaker 4: the glamour and glitz of it. And then you don't
- 31:59Speaker 4: even know that the girl only gets a sliver of
- 32:02Speaker 4: her pie. Because Meg Thee Stallion is the front woman.
- 32:06Speaker 4: That's what you're seeing. You're not seeing the whole army
- 32:08Speaker 4: of people that are pushing her up. to be the
- 32:13Speaker 4: image that she is. And she is an image, you know?
- 32:16Speaker 4: That's not a real person. This is an image finely
- 32:19Speaker 4: cultured by a staff of hundreds of people.
- 32:23Speaker 1: She's just like Pepsi. Oh, we need a new flavor.
- 32:25Speaker 3: What's it look like? How should we battle it? How
- 32:27Speaker 3: do we market it? She's the Pepsi Blue. Pushing people,
- 32:30Speaker 3: telling them.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Why they want it. Oh, it worked. It hit. Now
- 32:33Speaker 1: let's all make this money off of it. Wait, where's
- 32:35Speaker 1: my money? Oh, you get this percentage. When you're just chasing.
- 32:39Speaker 3: the financial part of, or if you just want it
- 32:40Speaker 3: so bad, you're not even thinking about like the backend, like, oh,
- 32:43Speaker 3: I'm going to make money. How can I not make money?
- 32:45Speaker 3: You got to be smart about your business and other
- 32:48Speaker 3: aspects of it. It's always going to take a team
- 32:50Speaker 3: and it's always going to take a strong belief in self.
- 32:53Speaker 3: And I think we're in an age where people want stuff,
- 32:58Speaker 3: instant gratification. Like a lot of people were doing vision
- 33:02Speaker 3: boards and saying, oh, it didn't, it didn't come to
- 33:05Speaker 3: fruition as in work.
- 33:06Speaker 1: It's all bullshit.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Doubt it.
- 33:09Speaker 3: It's not about the law of attraction. It's not about Christianity.
- 33:11Speaker 3: It's not about Islam. Whatever you choose to believe in,
- 33:15Speaker 3: you got to believe in it on a deeper level
- 33:18Speaker 3: than just what someone is telling you to believe in.
- 33:20Speaker 3: If you yourself don't logically believe in it, if you
- 33:22Speaker 3: think it's just magic talk and magic thinking, it's not
- 33:25Speaker 3: going to work because you don't really believe in it.
- 33:28Speaker 3: You're going to try to fly and you're going to
- 33:29Speaker 3: fall because of course you can't fly. So you're going
- 33:31Speaker 3: to try to manifest because you don't believe you can manifest.
- 33:37Speaker 1: But let's talk about the criticism of the law of attraction. Yeah.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 33:42Speaker 4: So if you, so since you believe in, in the
- 33:45Speaker 4: Christianity and, and all that so much, are you having
- 33:48Speaker 4: premarital sex? Let's start there. Since you believe it so wholeheartedly,
- 33:54Speaker 4: are you having premarital sex? If your answer to that
- 33:57Speaker 4: is not no, then the conversation is over. You're going
- 34:01Speaker 4: to sit here and let a book. tell you how
- 34:04Speaker 4: to live your life, tell you what you should do,
- 34:06Speaker 4: what you shouldn't do. If people believe in Christianity, have
- 34:09Speaker 4: you ever read the Bible from, from front to back ever?
- 34:14Speaker 4: You know how it, if you really dissect it, it's
- 34:17Speaker 4: basically trying to control people and tell them how to
- 34:20Speaker 4: live your life. That, that goes against everything we just
- 34:22Speaker 4: spoke about. No one can tell another person how.
- 34:25Speaker 2: To live their life.
- 34:27Speaker 3: It's a lot of fear mongering too. it's like like
- 34:29Speaker 3: you said like um how your parents or your grandma
- 34:31Speaker 3: is like they expect you to believe in something and
- 34:34Speaker 3: you don't want to disappoint them but what happens when
- 34:36Speaker 3: you become in your 20s or even 30s and you
- 34:39Speaker 3: still believe in something that you're only forced to believe in.
- 34:41Speaker 4: It's discouraging people to think for themselves because when people
- 34:45Speaker 4: think for themselves they have power they can affect change
- 34:48Speaker 4: if i have if i have the power to tell
- 34:51Speaker 4: a million people how to think what to do, when
- 34:55Speaker 4: to go.
- 34:55Speaker 2: To church, how much of their.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Income, look at this, how much of their income they
- 35:01Speaker 4: should give minimum. And you don't see anything just a
- 35:06Speaker 4: little fishy about that. How these pastors are driving Rolls
- 35:10Speaker 4: Royces and building these extravagant churches, but you're broke.
- 35:15Speaker 3: And then what's the cherry on top? you do all
- 35:17Speaker 3: this to get into heaven. You're like, suffer now. And
- 35:20Speaker 3: then after you die, we promise you're going to this
- 35:23Speaker 3: miracle place. Yeah.
- 35:26Speaker 4: Be selfless, selfless. Give all your time, all your money.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Don't have anything for you. You know, being rich is
- 35:34Speaker 4: the devil. Money is the devil.
- 35:35Speaker 2: If that's how you really feel.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Abundance shouldn't wait until you're dead.
- 35:40Speaker 4: And there's actually a really great pastor. His name is
- 35:43Speaker 4: Reverend Ike. He is he's the only church that I
- 35:47Speaker 4: would willingly, you know, go to. He has recently passed,
- 35:52Speaker 4: but he is a great person to look up on YouTube.
- 35:54Speaker 4: He teaches about, you know, the abundance mindset in a
- 35:59Speaker 4: in a religious way. And he was criticized a lot
- 36:03Speaker 4: for promoting. you know, wealth and abundance. And he's someone
- 36:07Speaker 4: that I listen to all the time and he's really great.
- 36:10Speaker 4: So for those of you that do want to tie religion,
- 36:13Speaker 4: you don't want to completely forfeit religion with the idea
- 36:16Speaker 4: of abundance.
- 36:17Speaker 2: And law of attraction.
- 36:18Speaker 4: He's a great merger of the two and his name
- 36:20Speaker 4: is Reverend Ike and he has a lot of material
- 36:23Speaker 4: on YouTube.
- 36:23Speaker 2: And it's really great.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Yeah, because I think a lot of people, they fight
- 36:27Speaker 3: up against it like, this sounds like some devil talk
- 36:29Speaker 3: and some wizard shit.
- 36:30Speaker 4: If God only, you know, blessed the religious and the
- 36:33Speaker 4: good-spirited and punished the poor, do you think that rule
- 36:37Speaker 4: or that ideology is really manifesting into the world? Do
- 36:40Speaker 4: you know how many evil dictators are filthy rich? And,
- 36:43Speaker 4: you know, look at President Trump. If that ideology held true,
- 36:48Speaker 4: why is President Trump damn near a billionaire?
- 36:51Speaker 2: Why does he own so much? And he's such a
- 36:53Speaker 2: rotten person.
- 36:54Speaker 3: I like that you brought up Trump and just the
- 36:56Speaker 3: whole billionaire class of this world.
- 36:59Speaker 1: John D. Rockefeller. I think Napoleon Hill talks about him
- 37:02Speaker 1: a lot in Thinking Grow Rich.
- 37:04Speaker 4: Wow.
- 37:04Speaker 1: But his story goes like this. He's taking a business trip.
- 37:07Speaker 1: He was dirt poor.
- 37:08Speaker 3: He's trying to like sell a patent or like going
- 37:11Speaker 3: to see something for a job. He barely missed his train.
- 37:14Speaker 3: The train crashed. Everyone on board this train dies. Rockefeller
- 37:19Speaker 3: takes this as a sign from God. His mindset was
- 37:23Speaker 3: that God will never let me fail so I can
- 37:26Speaker 3: basically do anything I want. If you take the Christianity
- 37:30Speaker 3: aspect out of it, what he was doing is basically saying,
- 37:33Speaker 3: I'm God. Just like Alexander the Great, I cannot be beaten.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Nothing can stop me. I'm going to move with this
- 37:42Speaker 3: intention that nothing can stop me. And we all know
- 37:45Speaker 3: what Rockefeller ended up being, the richest man on the
- 37:47Speaker 3: planet and created a whole industry. And the same thing,
- 37:50Speaker 3: I think what Donald Trump and just the way he talks,
- 37:53Speaker 3: you can tell he has undying confidence in himself.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Even when he's wrong, he's right. He lives in a bubble. Yeah,
- 37:59Speaker 1: he instilled faith.
- 38:00Speaker 3: And it's not, I don't think it's ever fake or false.
- 38:02Speaker 3: It's like, this is truly what he believes. And then
- 38:04Speaker 3: like you talk about Cardi and Jay-Z. It's like, when
- 38:07Speaker 3: you transfer that to the average person, if you had
- 38:09Speaker 3: the same confidence as a Rockefeller or even Trump or
- 38:13Speaker 3: Jay-Z or like anyone that like truly believes their shit,
- 38:16Speaker 3: not in a delusional way where it's like you're lying
- 38:18Speaker 3: to yourself, but in a real way where it's like,
- 38:21Speaker 3: I'm going to do this and this is going to
- 38:23Speaker 3: work and I'm going to keep at it until it
- 38:25Speaker 3: works even bigger and bigger and bigger.
- 38:27Speaker 2: They just roll with the punches. They don't let things
- 38:30Speaker 2: knock them down.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Edison, Carnegie, JP Morgan, all these masters of industry, CJ Walker,
- 38:38Speaker 3: all these masters of industries, they believed in themselves to
- 38:40Speaker 3: a point where it was like, people thought they were crazy.
- 38:43Speaker 1: But in the end, They're in the history books.
- 38:46Speaker 3: They left a mark on this world that can't be
- 38:49Speaker 3: denied because they had this undying self-belief.
- 38:52Speaker 1: It didn't matter if it was sparked by a.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Religious ideology where they thought they were something or was
- 38:57Speaker 3: the belief that they were their own God. It blossomed
- 38:59Speaker 3: within them and it became real. And I think that's
- 39:02Speaker 3: the biggest thing for anybody listening to this podcast is
- 39:04Speaker 3: that you have to have undying confidence in yourself that
- 39:08Speaker 3: you can achieve whatever you want to achieve.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:11Speaker 3: We're filled with so much self-doubt in this world. And
- 39:13Speaker 3: like we said, so much chaos going on.
- 39:15Speaker 4: And people bet, you have to understand people monetize off
- 39:18Speaker 4: of that.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Oh, you don't like your hair? Buy, buy this shampoo.
- 39:22Speaker 2: It'll do it for you.
- 39:23Speaker 1: You know?
- 39:24Speaker 4: Oh, you don't like your stomach? Buy this pill, flat
- 39:27Speaker 4: tummy tea. You have to understand value. Some people understand
- 39:31Speaker 4: market value. They understand the idea of keeping women and
- 39:35Speaker 4: men insecure because as long as men and women feel
- 39:38Speaker 4: like they have a need, they will consume. Capitalism plays
- 39:44Speaker 4: off of people's illusion of need. And so you have
- 39:48Speaker 4: to understand when you're being played upon. Why do you
- 39:52Speaker 4: think they make money off of IG?
- 39:54Speaker 2: Why do you think? It's because people that are trying.
- 39:58Speaker 4: To sell a product are using them to say, oh,
- 40:01Speaker 4: you want your stomach flat like this?
- 40:04Speaker 2: I drank this tea. And then people buy it.
- 40:08Speaker 4: And then now they're making, you know, $ 5, 000 a month
- 40:11Speaker 4: because of people buying something, you know, and it's all fake.
- 40:14Speaker 2: That girl never used the teeth. She got light bulbs.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Never, never, never.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Be conscious, you know, be conscious of what's being sold
- 40:21Speaker 4: to you because people make money off of your self-doubt.
- 40:24Speaker 2: It's a big business.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Step out of that. hit reset, understand what you really
- 40:30Speaker 1: want out of life.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Because if you really do some deep thinking or some
- 40:33Speaker 3: deep meditating, you will find your really deeper needs aren't
- 40:36Speaker 3: that materialistic.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Everyone wants to be loved. It's like love is the key.
- 40:42Speaker 3: And like, we don't understand that we buy these things
- 40:44Speaker 3: to get validation, to get people's approval. Even if you
- 40:48Speaker 3: get other people's approval, it'll never be enough.
- 40:50Speaker 2: It'll never be enough.
- 40:51Speaker 4: People are fickle. And I wanted to say something else.
- 40:54Speaker 4: It's like either you're a consumer or you're a creator.
- 40:57Speaker 4: That really ties this whole conversation together. Either you're consuming
- 41:02Speaker 4: everything that's coming out to you, people's bullshit, or you're
- 41:05Speaker 4: creating the life that you want and the situations that
- 41:07Speaker 4: you want. You know, we all have the choice. Take
- 41:10Speaker 4: note of all the different money, you know, opportunities that
- 41:16Speaker 4: exist in this world so that when we build up again,
- 41:20Speaker 4: you have an idea of where you can insert yourself,
- 41:23Speaker 4: you know?
- 41:24Speaker 3: This whole coronavirus thing, it happened for a reason. I
- 41:27Speaker 3: don't believe in coincidence. And the fact that it's happening,
- 41:32Speaker 3: what is it bringing to your life? Like, what are
- 41:34Speaker 3: you learning? What is my place in this world?
- 41:37Speaker 1: What do I want?
- 41:37Speaker 3: If the world ended tomorrow, did I really leave my mark?
- 41:41Speaker 3: Did I have the life I wanted? Or did I
- 41:44Speaker 3: just play the game the way other people wanted me
- 41:46Speaker 3: to play the game or how I thought I should
- 41:48Speaker 3: play the game because that's how my mother or the
- 41:50Speaker 3: church taught me or whoever, whoever the fuck influenced you,
- 41:53Speaker 3: taught you to play the game. Or are you going
- 41:54Speaker 3: to start playing the game to win?
- 41:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Don't play small, play to win.
- 41:59Speaker 4: We haven't even been out of commission for a month
- 42:02Speaker 4: and people are saying.
- 42:03Speaker 2: I lost $ 5 million.
- 42:05Speaker 4: So that means there's people in this world that are
- 42:08Speaker 4: making $ 5 million.
- 42:09Speaker 2: In three weeks.
- 42:10Speaker 1: A lot.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there are. There are.
- 42:14Speaker 4: The world has slowed down. This is an opportunity to strategize.
- 42:21Speaker 4: Just reinvent yourself. Like who do I want to be
- 42:23Speaker 4: in this world when the world gets up and running again?
- 42:26Speaker 4: Because there's so many things you could be. And also
- 42:29Speaker 4: to evolve with the times. You see how people that
- 42:33Speaker 4: make money off of things that require contact are losing.
- 42:36Speaker 4: So me personally, my ideas is how do I become digital?
- 42:41Speaker 4: How do I digitize myself and my business and my
- 42:44Speaker 4: company to the point where even if we couldn't ever
- 42:47Speaker 4: talk to each other ever again or touch each other
- 42:49Speaker 4: ever again, my business could still thrive.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Amazon is eating. Look at the stocks. What stocks are
- 42:55Speaker 2: rising right now? What stocks are taking?
- 42:57Speaker 4: Everyone's focusing on the, some of the stock market's crashing,
- 43:01Speaker 4: but no one's talking about the stocks that are rising.
- 43:05Speaker 4: or that are maintaining, take the blueprint. Some millionaires are
- 43:09Speaker 4: getting birthed right now.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, of course. It's all about solutions, not problems.
- 43:15Speaker 3: How do I come up with the way to be
- 43:16Speaker 3: recession-proof even if another pandemic hits or anything else hits?
- 43:20Speaker 3: How do I make sure that I'm always going to
- 43:23Speaker 3: be wealthy and grow my wealth? People talk about selfish
- 43:26Speaker 3: and like, oh, the law of attraction is saying everything's
- 43:29Speaker 3: your fault if it doesn't work out. No, it's all
- 43:31Speaker 3: about taking responsibility for your own life because it's your life.
- 43:36Speaker 3: You can say someone influenced your life, but in a day,
- 43:38Speaker 3: it's your thoughts, it's what you put into it. Did
- 43:41Speaker 3: you take the risk? Did you think about it? And
- 43:43Speaker 3: did you, like you say, take action to make that
- 43:46Speaker 3: shit come to fruition? Or did you sit home, sit
- 43:48Speaker 3: on your couch and binge watch Netflix all day?
- 43:51Speaker 2: Oh, Netflix is fucking booming. Come on.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Netflix took that movie and that movie and that movie
- 43:58Speaker 4: and took Blockbuster out of business.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Blockbuster would have been booming right now.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Yeah, they didn't have the vision.
- 44:04Speaker 4: They didn't have the vision. They couldn't evolve with the times.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Blockbuster had the money to create a Netflix. They had
- 44:10Speaker 4: the money to buy out these movies and they didn't
- 44:13Speaker 4: have the vision. They weren't evolving. Like you said earlier,
- 44:17Speaker 4: being three steps ahead. We were talking about dating. How
- 44:21Speaker 4: dating is about sometimes being three steps ahead. Whoever is
- 44:25Speaker 4: three steps ahead, they notice the little things and they
- 44:28Speaker 4: preempt it and they create the solution before you even
- 44:31Speaker 4: knew there was a problem.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Boom. There you go.
- 44:35Speaker 3: So on that note, I want to thank you so
- 44:38Speaker 3: much for coming on the show. I think we had
- 44:41Speaker 3: a great conversation and I hope you guys learned a
- 44:43Speaker 3: lot because this is going to directly affect your life
- 44:48Speaker 3: now that it's in your ear. You don't even know
- 44:50Speaker 3: it yet. But what we talked about is going to
- 44:52Speaker 3: sit with you for a few days. And you're going
- 44:55Speaker 3: to start to have these feelings of, this is what
- 44:58Speaker 3: GL and Imani were talking about. Maybe I should go
- 45:01Speaker 3: left when I would have went right. So go fucking
- 45:03Speaker 3: left instead of always trying to go right.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Of course.
- 45:05Speaker 3: My next book is going to be on this topic.
- 45:08Speaker 3: It's kind of going beyond the law of attraction. Because
- 45:10Speaker 3: for the past, I think, two and a half years,
- 45:12Speaker 3: I've been doing a social experiment with myself in terms
- 45:15Speaker 3: of like, creating things and testing things out. Because for me,
- 45:21Speaker 3: I don't believe anything that I can't put to the
- 45:22Speaker 3: test in my own life. I think I'm going to
- 45:25Speaker 3: go very deep and I'm going to get into some
- 45:27Speaker 3: stuff that I know you're going to like. So be
- 45:29Speaker 3: on the lookout for that. I'm not going to give
- 45:31Speaker 3: you the title yet, even though I have the title.
- 45:32Speaker 3: I had the title for like two years now, but
- 45:35Speaker 3: the title hasn't left me. Usually titles come and go
- 45:37Speaker 3: and I'm like, oh, that's not it. But this title stuck.
- 45:39Speaker 3: So that's the title.
