- 0:08Speaker 1: Okay, I was legally required to read something at the
- 0:10Speaker 1: beginning of Wednesday's episode. I'm now legally required to read this.
- 0:15Speaker 1: To the Office of Management, Nickelback, read your cease and
- 0:18Speaker 1: desist letter received, read twice, laughed at once. Dear Management,
- 0:23Speaker 1: thank you for your letter. We take these matters very
- 0:25Speaker 1: seriously and after an exhaustive internal investigation... a five-minute chat
- 0:30Speaker 1: in the kitchen, we have identified the person responsible, Carolyn.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Carolyn is solely to blame for every mention of the
- 0:37Speaker 1: band on the show. The photograph joke, which we maintain
- 0:40Speaker 1: was her idea. The words, very nickelback, which she said
- 0:44Speaker 1: first and which we merely repeated, putting the band's songs
- 0:47Speaker 1: on the office playlist, then claiming it was ironic. We've
- 0:50Speaker 1: spoken to Carolyn. She denies everything, which we consider to
- 0:54Speaker 1: be a full admission. In good faith, we agree to
- 0:56Speaker 1: play one Nickelback song in full and to nod along
- 0:59Speaker 1: at least once. Carolyn will be nodding hardest. We also
- 1:02Speaker 1: accept your offer to appear on the show and we
- 1:04Speaker 1: will provide a second stool in case yours goes missing.
- 1:07Speaker 1: We remain, as ever, Nickelback fans who are only a
- 1:10Speaker 1: little bit mocking. Yours sincerely, the team at No Dribble,
- 1:13Speaker 1: except Carolyn. I don't agree to any of these terms.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I'm here under duress. You're on No Dribble. Strap in!
- 1:19Speaker 2: MUSIC Hello and welcome to No Dribble, the podcast where
- 1:34Speaker 2: we talk about never, we talk about so much more.
- 1:35Speaker 1: My name is Carolyn Swindell.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I'm Kath Cox and in a moment I'm going to
- 1:38Speaker 3: make you feel better.
- 1:39Speaker 4: I'm Liz Ellis.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Oh, thanks. She's here.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I'm here.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yay. Now listen, I can make you feel better about this.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 1:51Speaker 3: About the Nickelback situation. Good.
- 1:53Speaker 1: The Nick sitch.
- 1:54Speaker 3: The Nick sitch. Oh, I like it. So you know
- 1:56Speaker 3: how we said that you must accompany us to a
- 1:59Speaker 3: concert on the 14th of October?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Well, it's not sold out. I guarantee you, you won't
- 2:04Speaker 1: have missed out on tickets.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Well, let me lubricate it for you. And I say
- 2:09Speaker 3: that because two nights later, they're playing at the Hunter Valley.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 2:15Speaker 3: At a vineyard.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm listening.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I knew you would be. Well, does that make things
- 2:19Speaker 3: a little more appealing?
- 2:22Speaker 1: Oh, for sure.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:23Speaker 3: All right. Well, there we go. We just adjust the
- 2:25Speaker 3: time by a day. We go on the Friday and
- 2:27Speaker 3: we go and listen to Nickelback way drunker than we
- 2:30Speaker 3: were going to be in.
- 2:30Speaker 1: The first place. So we still have to go to Nickelback.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Yes, you do.
- 2:33Speaker 1: We can't just go to the Hunter Valley. Well, yes,
- 2:36Speaker 1: you do.
- 2:36Speaker 4: You have to.
- 2:37Speaker 3: You have to come just this one time.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Which winery? Do you remember? Is it like Tempest 2?
- 2:43Speaker 1: No.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Tempest 2, no?
- 2:45Speaker 3: No, no. One of the ones up there.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Liz, did you get Powderfinger tickets?
- 2:50Speaker 4: No, not yet.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Neither did I.
- 2:53Speaker 5: And I feel like I'm not going to get them
- 2:56Speaker 5: unless I find some strings to pull. But the strings
- 3:01Speaker 5: these days are a little bit few and far between.
- 3:03Speaker 5: I'm good for netball tickets. Maybe I might swap them somewhere.
- 3:06Speaker 5: We'll see if I can swap them some World Cup
- 3:08Speaker 5: tickets for some Powderfinger tickets.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I can't get netball tickets. So can we get me
- 3:12Speaker 3: some of them instead of– I'll take those over Powderfinger. Really?
- 3:16Speaker 4: I'll ask some people who I know.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Oh, no, you're right. Yeah.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I know some people I can– Yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Lisa Loss knows people.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Just before we move on from concerts though, I put
- 3:24Speaker 1: something up on our Instagram and it was a clip
- 3:28Speaker 1: of Florence and the Machine doing a major festival– and saying,
- 3:33Speaker 1: can we all just put our phones away? And everyone
- 3:35Speaker 1: put their phones away. She said, if you're filming, you're
- 3:37Speaker 1: not in the moment. And it was just, it was so,
- 3:42Speaker 1: so great to see that I didn't see anyone who
- 3:44Speaker 1: still had their phones. And it's right, if you're just
- 3:47Speaker 1: enjoying the moment rather than trying to capture it, it
- 3:49Speaker 1: is so different. And that's the whole point of going
- 3:51Speaker 1: to see live music is to experience it with other people.
- 3:55Speaker 1: It was so great.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Do you know where else they need to do that?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Shibuya Crossing in Japan. I went across it holding my
- 4:04Speaker 3: phone up. And when I watched the vision back, it's
- 4:07Speaker 3: everybody holding their phones up, coming back at me in
- 4:09Speaker 3: the other direction.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Ridiculous.
- 4:11Speaker 3: What have we become?
- 4:12Speaker 5: And you know, like, you know, when you see vision
- 4:14Speaker 5: from people who filmed a concert and all you're really
- 4:16Speaker 5: looking at is thousands of phones. And then when you're there,
- 4:19Speaker 5: you just look at like, you can't help but have
- 4:21Speaker 5: your eye drawn to the light on the phone.
- 4:23Speaker 2: So.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I love it.
- 4:25Speaker 5: And you know when you see footage from old concerts
- 4:27Speaker 5: and no one's on their phones and everyone's in the moment?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Great. We went to a Prince concert at the
- 4:32Speaker 1: Stake Theatre and it was only about six months before
- 4:35Speaker 1: he died. And the title of the show was Prince,
- 4:38Speaker 1: a Piano and a Microphone. And that's exactly what it was.
- 4:40Speaker 1: He had no backing band. It was just him there.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And they had a complete ban on phones in there
- 4:47Speaker 1: and the staff were We're right on. I saw people
- 4:50Speaker 1: get chucked out. I ended up taking my Fitbit off
- 4:53Speaker 1: because in applauding it would light up and you saw them.
- 4:57Speaker 1: So I ended up taking it off. But it was
- 4:58Speaker 1: so great because there was absolutely nothing that drew my
- 5:02Speaker 1: eye from the person who I was there to see.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It was such an extraordinary experience. display of virtuosity on
- 5:09Speaker 1: stage and and it was really lovely that we all
- 5:12Speaker 1: just had to be there for what we bought the
- 5:14Speaker 1: damn tickets.
- 5:15Speaker 3: For yeah people do that shit now because they want
- 5:17Speaker 3: proof that they did it.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah yeah it was not on the gram it didn't
- 5:21Speaker 5: happen i saw recently um an actress or an actor
- 5:24Speaker 5: sorry stopped the theater show might have been in London
- 5:28Speaker 5: in the West End because they saw someone on their
- 5:30Speaker 5: phone and they just went, no, that's really rude.
- 5:32Speaker 4: You're here to watch. Called them out, made them put
- 5:35Speaker 4: it down. I mean, that would be mortifying.
- 5:37Speaker 5: But it is interesting now that perhaps places like that
- 5:40Speaker 5: are starting to call that out and saying, no, no,
- 5:42Speaker 5: if you're here, you're here for the whole experience.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Plus it's right in person.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Who is on their phone during stand-up comedy. Like it
- 5:48Speaker 1: is so easy to get called out for that. But
- 5:52Speaker 1: speaking of Instagram, although this is actually Facebook, I think,
- 5:57Speaker 1: there was an interesting chat on our Facebook group about
- 5:59Speaker 1: athletes singing the national anthem and I thought it would
- 6:02Speaker 1: be a useful one for us to talk about to,
- 6:04Speaker 1: you know, people who've been there.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I was fascinated at the amount of people blowing up
- 6:08Speaker 3: about it. Because to me, that athlete is there not
- 6:13Speaker 3: to sing the anthem. Yes, that is part and parcel
- 6:16Speaker 3: of the day or the night or whatever it entails,
- 6:19Speaker 3: but they are there to play a sport at the
- 6:21Speaker 3: best of their ability. And sometimes people's focuses before games are,
- 6:26Speaker 3: don't talk to me, I'm thinking. Other people want to
- 6:29Speaker 3: be looking at the crowd. They want to be singing
- 6:31Speaker 3: the anthem. People have different ways that they approach these things.
- 6:34Speaker 3: That person's job though, at the time, is to get
- 6:37Speaker 3: themselves as best focus as they can for the job
- 6:40Speaker 3: at hand. So if they're not singing the anthem, what's
- 6:43Speaker 3: the big deal? It doesn't mean they're not patriotic and
- 6:45Speaker 3: they don't want to get out on the field or
- 6:47Speaker 3: the court and play their best version of their sport.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I found that fascinating.
- 6:54Speaker 4: It is interesting, isn't it, right? I love singing the anthem.
- 6:56Speaker 5: I thought it was great, but I tried not to
- 6:57Speaker 5: sing it too loud because I have an appalling voice
- 6:59Speaker 5: and I didn't want to put off.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Anyone who was standing on either side of me.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Did you actually sing it or did you mouth it?
- 7:06Speaker 5: Oh, no, I sang it, but I sang it low
- 7:08Speaker 5: because I sing out of tune. Whereas I know some
- 7:12Speaker 5: people mouth it. I don't care, whatever. And I know
- 7:15Speaker 5: some people don't like singing... their anthem, not just the
- 7:19Speaker 5: Australian anthem but other anthems for their political beliefs or whatever,
- 7:22Speaker 5: it's just up to the athlete, isn't it, as.
- 7:25Speaker 4: To whether they want to sing it or not?
- 7:26Speaker 2: Well, that's right.
- 7:27Speaker 1: They're there to do a job. I love singing the
- 7:28Speaker 1: national anthem. I'll sing our national anthem. I'll sing the
- 7:32Speaker 1: New Zealand national anthem.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Oh, how good's the New Zealand national anthem?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Sometimes I'll even do a bit of God Save the
- 7:36Speaker 1: King in there if it's the English national anthem. I
- 7:38Speaker 1: love it, love it, love it, love it. However, I'm
- 7:41Speaker 1: just there drinking gin. Like, you know, I'm just there watching.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Watching the show, there's no pressure on me. If I
- 7:47Speaker 1: do my job wrong, there might be a slight decline
- 7:50Speaker 1: in the takings at the bar, but that's as bad
- 7:52Speaker 1: as it gets. But, yeah, it's interesting to me. I
- 7:56Speaker 1: have no idea where I would need my head to
- 7:58Speaker 1: be going into a game. A different story, you know,
- 8:01Speaker 1: at the Olympics, if they get their anthem play, they've
- 8:05Speaker 1: won the gold medal.
- 8:06Speaker 4: They're there.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's like all of the pressure is off them. And
- 8:09Speaker 1: that is the moment. But even so, not everyone wants
- 8:12Speaker 1: to sing. Like, you know, you can still have something
- 8:15Speaker 1: that is important to you going on privately, I guess.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Yeah. And so I think it's everyone's choice. I mean,
- 8:21Speaker 4: I loved it. I love the anthem.
- 8:22Speaker 5: And like, John Eales has a very famous story that
- 8:25Speaker 5: when he was playing rugby for Australia, he would pick
- 8:28Speaker 5: someone out in the crowd, someone random. He would just
- 8:31Speaker 5: find them and sing with them in his, like, he
- 8:34Speaker 5: would sing. And So, and that would really connect him
- 8:37Speaker 5: to the game and connect him to what he was doing.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:39Speaker 5: So that's a really good example. Now there are other
- 8:41Speaker 5: athletes who you can just say they're so focused that
- 8:43Speaker 5: it's just, it's just.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Not what they're thinking about.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:47Speaker 4: When we played New Zealand years ago, do you remember
- 8:49Speaker 4: Bernice Meny?
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yes. Wow.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Played goalkeeper, awesome player. Her dad, Meny Meny.
- 8:55Speaker 5: He used to cry when the New Zealand anthem was played.
- 9:01Speaker 5: And they would put his face on the big screen.
- 9:03Speaker 5: It was so beautiful and so emotional. And it meant
- 9:06Speaker 5: so much to him. So I think that's a great
- 9:08Speaker 5: example of what it means to some people. And for
- 9:10Speaker 5: other people, it's not that big a deal. Well, they
- 9:14Speaker 5: just don't want to get into it. I liked singing it,
- 9:16Speaker 5: but I get that other people don't.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Do you know what I didn't like when I was–
- 9:21Speaker 3: playing in my playing days, playing against New Zealand, and
- 9:23Speaker 3: you'd look up and see your parents in the crowd
- 9:25Speaker 3: singing the New Zealand National Anthem.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I'm like, Mum and Dad, hello.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Green and gold over here. Sometimes you won't see me
- 9:34Speaker 1: singing the New Zealand National Anthem.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Seriously, how beautiful is that anthem? Every time I hear it,
- 9:40Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, God, it's so nice.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Yeah, and like the Scottish national anthem, when I hear
- 9:44Speaker 5: the Scottish national anthem, it gives me goosebumps. And the
- 9:48Speaker 5: American national anthem, it's a great anthem. They both tell
- 9:52Speaker 5: great stories of warriors and wars and victory and it's
- 9:56Speaker 5: not GERP, I see.
- 9:57Speaker 4: But anyway.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I don't think it is an interesting chat though. You know,
- 10:04Speaker 1: each their own. A lot of athletes will love to
- 10:05Speaker 1: do it. So I watched the Ballet de Sceaux Cup
- 10:07Speaker 1: on Saturday, which I really enjoyed for a while and
- 10:09Speaker 1: then afterwards I stopped enjoying it. But they had Nathan
- 10:12Speaker 1: Charles out there and we've spoken about Nathan Charles. He's
- 10:15Speaker 1: a former Wallaby, Wallaby number 881. he has motor neurone disease.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And so they brought him out onto the field and
- 10:23Speaker 1: he sang the national anthem and Harry Wilson, the Wallabies
- 10:28Speaker 1: captain stood there and Nathan Charles was beside him and
- 10:30Speaker 1: he was arm in arm with the Wallabies. And they sang,
- 10:34Speaker 1: those two were singing it like, this is a massive
- 10:37Speaker 1: moment and we want to sing it. And you could
- 10:39Speaker 1: see that. And it's like, None of us knows what
- 10:43Speaker 1: decision we would make in that moment, but it was
- 10:46Speaker 1: beautiful to see. One of the things I thought that
- 10:49Speaker 1: all of the Wallabies players had number 881 on their
- 10:52Speaker 1: jersey because Nathan Charles is the 881st Wallaby and I
- 10:55Speaker 1: thought that's really nice and I'm loving seeing sports use
- 11:01Speaker 1: more of this type of symbolism to wrap around their
- 11:05Speaker 1: own and to sort of try to, yeah, try to.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Share those those beautiful moments anyway that.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Was i mean lots of people have just got their
- 11:15Speaker 3: eyes closed and they're in the moment i mean yeah
- 11:19Speaker 3: yeah interesting but yeah good chat good very good chat
- 11:22Speaker 3: is i'm getting a sweaty finger can i take my
- 11:24Speaker 3: finger cut off does anyone.
- 11:25Speaker 1: You can you can i'm surprised you lasted as long
- 11:28Speaker 1: as you did the whole face brow thing was so
- 11:30Speaker 1: painful for you don't put that one back into circulation
- 11:34Speaker 1: i want to go in my in my uh finger
- 11:36Speaker 1: cod um We should take a little break and come
- 11:39Speaker 1: back and talk about some netball. But I will say
- 11:41Speaker 1: Christmas has started early in my family this week when
- 11:44Speaker 1: I bought a loaf of white bread on the weekend
- 11:46Speaker 1: and the children acted like orphans in Charles Dickens who
- 11:51Speaker 1: were given some chocolate mousse.
- 11:53Speaker 4: It was like, oh, mom, thanks. The whiter the bread,
- 11:57Speaker 4: the closer to dead.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Oh, God. That's not good.
- 12:01Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 12:02Speaker 4: I know.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Are you going to be disturbed if I leave that?
- 12:04Speaker 4: So disturbed. I'm not going to lie.
- 12:08Speaker 5: When you sent me the photos, my first thought was,
- 12:10Speaker 5: why are you sending me a photo of a bag
- 12:11Speaker 5: full of condoms?
- 12:14Speaker 1: That is incredibly.
- 12:15Speaker 4: I was very hopeful.
- 12:17Speaker 1: All right, Logan, take a little break. Come back and
- 12:19Speaker 1: talk to us a bit more.
- 12:21Speaker 3: You.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Okay, so by the time this episode goes to air,
- 12:37Speaker 1: another Diamond Silver Ferns game will have been run and
- 12:41Speaker 1: done in Christchurch. If the last sort of five or
- 12:46Speaker 1: six years are anything to go by, it will probably
- 12:48Speaker 1: be a Silver Ferns win. We've seen a lot of
- 12:52Speaker 1: that in New Zealand.
- 12:52Speaker 4: But who knows?
- 12:53Speaker 1: This is the beauty of listening to a podcast on
- 12:55Speaker 1: a Friday that gets recorded on a Monday. But what
- 12:57Speaker 1: we can tell you is that the Super Netball draw,
- 13:00Speaker 1: which comes out Wednesday, after this podcast is recorded, but
- 13:04Speaker 1: we are connected, so I get to know it, tells
- 13:07Speaker 1: us a bit about where the sirens are going to
- 13:09Speaker 1: be playing this year, next year, next year in Super Netball,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and that is not at Rod Laveralina. They are moving
- 13:17Speaker 1: up the row to the Key Centre.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Not at Ken Rosehall Arena.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 13:22Speaker 3: They will be at Rod Laver.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Yeah, they're not.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Surprisingly, they're not playing in Melbourne.
- 13:30Speaker 4: I didn't see that coming.
- 13:32Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 13:33Speaker 3: No, but I love this. I was a little concerned
- 13:35Speaker 3: when I saw Key Centre because to me that is
- 13:37Speaker 3: Netball NSW headquarters and the training courts. And I thought, what?
- 13:41Speaker 1: That's what I thought, Netball Central, yeah.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Yeah, we did a little bit of Googling just to confirm,
- 13:45Speaker 3: but it's the Old State Sports Centre. So it's where
- 13:48Speaker 3: the Swifts played for many, many years. I love that stadium.
- 13:53Speaker 3: It is my favourite stadium. So I'm really, really excited
- 13:59Speaker 3: for the Sirens. It is the perfect size stadium for
- 14:01Speaker 3: them to start. I reckon they'll have no issues filling
- 14:04Speaker 3: it up quickly. It's about 3,000 seats, I think, isn't it, Liz?
- 14:07Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's a bit over 3,000. Yeah, I reckon
- 14:10Speaker 5: it might be three and a half to closer to four.
- 14:12Speaker 5: But still, it's like a boutique stadium, isn't it? And
- 14:15Speaker 5: it's not just the numbers. I reckon the acoustics are great.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Yeah, the feeling. You feel like you're in a bowl.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Yep.
- 14:21Speaker 3: So the court's down low and all the seats are
- 14:23Speaker 3: a bit more elevated around it. So every seat is
- 14:26Speaker 3: a great seat. It's just a beautiful, beautiful stadium to
- 14:29Speaker 3: play in. And you feel like the crowd is right
- 14:32Speaker 3: on top of you. I reckon this is fantastic.
- 14:35Speaker 1: How big is the Lightning at the UniSC Stadium?
- 14:38Speaker 4: Is that.
- 14:40Speaker 3: I reckon it's probably on par with this one in
- 14:42Speaker 3: terms of numbers, maybe even be a little bit smaller.
- 14:44Speaker 1: See, I love this. It's going to be hard to
- 14:46Speaker 1: get a ticket if you're not a member.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:49Speaker 5: So the UniSC Stadium suffers a little bit from having
- 14:52Speaker 5: that one end that's just a wall.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Yes, it's a wall, yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 4: A wall, yeah.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Whereas.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Key Centre is like a surround. It's fantastic. Yeah, I
- 15:01Speaker 4: hope it's hard to get a ticket.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 1: But I think that's a really smart move because male
- 15:08Speaker 1: tennis player arena.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Ken Roseville.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Ken Roseville, thank you very much. Like it can feel
- 15:14Speaker 1: a bit like the wind whips through there when it's
- 15:18Speaker 1: not full and when it's full it is absolutely fantastic.
- 15:21Speaker 1: But the Giants struggled to fill it last year and
- 15:24Speaker 1: I think that this is a really great move for
- 15:27Speaker 1: the Sirens to go, let's go somewhere, let's fill it,
- 15:30Speaker 1: let's make it that fortress, let's make it somewhere that
- 15:34Speaker 1: other teams come in and it's like we don't care
- 15:36Speaker 1: if you've got fans, there's probably no space for them,
- 15:38Speaker 1: it's sold out. Like it's really hard to get a
- 15:40Speaker 1: ticket to go and watch anyone play up in the
- 15:42Speaker 1: Sunshine Coast unless you are a Lightning member and I
- 15:45Speaker 1: think that's great. The other exciting thing that they are
- 15:48Speaker 1: doing and I'm looking, looking.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Looking, Well, the derby, the first derby for them is
- 15:53Speaker 3: round six. When they take on the Swifts, that was
- 15:56Speaker 3: the one thing that I wanted to look to straight away,
- 15:58Speaker 3: so that'll be an absolute cracker.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And that won't be at the Laver Arena.
- 16:02Speaker 3: That's at Ken Roseville Arena. No.
- 16:04Speaker 1: That's definitely not at Laver Arena. It's at Ken Roseville Arena.
- 16:09Speaker 1: But in round seven, the Sirens Mavs will be playing
- 16:13Speaker 1: at Wynn Entertainment Centre in Wollongong. So that's very exciting.
- 16:17Speaker 1: That's a Sunday afternoon 3 o'clock match.
- 16:20Speaker 3: But, Liz, on Wednesday we were briefly chatting around the
- 16:22Speaker 3: times of the games on the Saturday. So the 3
- 16:25Speaker 3: o'clock and the 7 p.m. game. Love.
- 16:28Speaker 4: What a bit of Saturday night netball.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Wow.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Well, someone said that she didn't like it because she
- 16:33Speaker 1: has to work a bit later when that happens.
- 16:36Speaker 4: It's past your bedtime.
- 16:37Speaker 3: There goes my sleep.
- 16:38Speaker 1: But we did talk about people playing club netball and
- 16:42Speaker 1: its responsibilities in that, that the 7 p.m.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Game.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Hopefully we'll see many more of those able to attend
- 16:48Speaker 1: the game. So there is still a 3 o'clock game.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I love an afternoon netball game too. But, yeah, this
- 16:54Speaker 1: is really exciting.
- 16:56Speaker 3: When did you say the grand final rematch was? We
- 16:58Speaker 3: didn't get to that just yet.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Did we? That is the weekend of the 31st of July.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Now I assume it will be a Saturday night because
- 17:03Speaker 1: it's been Saturday night the last couple of years, but
- 17:05Speaker 1: we don't know that. That is an assumption. I'm also
- 17:07Speaker 1: assuming that.
- 17:08Speaker 3: No, the grand final rematch.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Oh, roll that thing. That is round four. That's in Adelaide.
- 17:15Speaker 1: So Thunderbirds host the Vixens round four, Saturday the 1st
- 17:18Speaker 1: of May.
- 17:19Speaker 3: It is, yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 1: When do the Vixens host the Thunderbirds? That is round
- 17:25Speaker 1: 10 and that is at John Kane Arena. So that
- 17:28Speaker 1: one is the grand final rematch. But the grand final...
- 17:32Speaker 1: Assuming that they had the same final structure that they
- 17:35Speaker 1: have the last couple of years, we'll be on the
- 17:37Speaker 1: weekend of the 31st of July. We don't know where.
- 17:41Speaker 1: We don't know when. But we'll be going and having
- 17:45Speaker 1: a good time because we always do. So, yeah, so
- 17:48Speaker 1: weekend of the 18th and the 25th of July should
- 17:51Speaker 1: be the preliminaries and the semis and then the grand
- 17:53Speaker 1: final the following weekend.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Exciting. Well, we also have another game of netball given
- 17:59Speaker 3: this is on our Friday recording. We've got another game
- 18:01Speaker 3: of netball this Sunday, the first one in Sydney and
- 18:04Speaker 3: on Australia's soil. More importantly, our No Dribble event.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Our No Dribble event on Saturday.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Is one more sleep away.
- 18:13Speaker 1: So we've been talking to Shelley who's getting a No
- 18:16Speaker 1: Dribble tattoo and I don't think we can make it
- 18:18Speaker 1: happen this weekend before the event, sadly. But she is
- 18:23Speaker 1: coming back for the Nepal New South Wales State Dinner
- 18:27Speaker 1: a couple of weeks later, so I think we might
- 18:29Speaker 1: do it then. But we might ask her to talk
- 18:31Speaker 1: to us on Saturday night in the crowd about what
- 18:35Speaker 1: her tattoo plans are and we'll make some inappropriate suggestions,
- 18:40Speaker 1: I think, for that.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Yeah, only seems fair.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yes, but that's going to be very fun. It's sold
- 18:46Speaker 1: out now, so if you're not coming... You're not coming.
- 18:49Speaker 4: But we've got lots of prizes and lots of fun.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Did you put a ticket aside for me?
- 18:55Speaker 3: You're allowed to come, yes.
- 18:56Speaker 1: You are allowed to come. You are definitely required, actually. Excellent, actually.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Great.
- 19:03Speaker 1: We need you there.
- 19:04Speaker 3: All right.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Well, we should have a little break and come back.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I've got notable recommends. Ooh.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Ooh.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I've got one too ahead of our No Dribble live event.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I recommend we don't talk about Catherine's past love life
- 19:29Speaker 3: at the No Dribble live event.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Well, unfortunately, Sue Gordian won't be happy.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Thank the Lord because that seems to be the default.
- 19:36Speaker 3: She won't have a.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Tin full of.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Champagne or beer under her belt. The funny thing is
- 19:43Speaker 1: we're very much setting some ship sail at the pre-grand
- 19:46Speaker 1: final event.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Best thing was watching Catherine's face.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Oh, it's a slippery slope, isn't it, from good solid
- 19:53Speaker 3: netball chat to my love life. It's a bit sad, guys,
- 19:56Speaker 3: but no, my no dribble recommends is that we're not
- 19:59Speaker 3: going down that path again.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Oh, surely we can get someone to play that role.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Surely we can get someone to make inappropriate. Well, that
- 20:07Speaker 1: sounds like you then, Liz, doesn't it? You'll be playing
- 20:10Speaker 1: that role. No, but lots of chat there because that
- 20:13Speaker 1: will be obviously the night before the final. No, it
- 20:17Speaker 1: won't be the final.
- 20:17Speaker 3: No, the Sydney game.
- 20:19Speaker 4: The first game in Australia.
- 20:21Speaker 1: First game in Australia and the week before someone is
- 20:24Speaker 1: doing a bit of a fancy Hall of Fame dinner
- 20:27Speaker 1: thing in Melbourne.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Oh, yes, it is too, yeah. It's a big week.
- 20:31Speaker 1: It's a big week, isn't it? I have to change
- 20:33Speaker 1: my flight so I can get down there on Wednesday
- 20:35Speaker 1: for the game.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Well, have you not got a frock yet, Catherine?
- 20:38Speaker 3: I've got one, but I'm just not sure. It's a
- 20:41Speaker 3: whole thing.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Have you ever seen this rented dress?
- 20:44Speaker 3: Oh, mate, I've done it.
- 20:45Speaker 4: It's disgusting.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 20:48Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 20:49Speaker 3: In theory, the theory is great, but if you get
- 20:52Speaker 3: a dress that has been worn a few times before,
- 20:55Speaker 3: they dry clean them. I'm not sure that dry cleaning
- 20:58Speaker 3: is cleaning. The one that I hired one time had
- 21:01Speaker 3: the most horrendous BO smell.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 21:05Speaker 3: The entire time. I was at an event. I had
- 21:07Speaker 3: to keep my arms down the entire time. It was disgusting. Oh, no.
- 21:10Speaker 3: So I vowed I would never do it again.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Oh, boo, I've got an event at the end of
- 21:15Speaker 5: November and I was thinking about hiring one.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Well, go and have a look.
- 21:19Speaker 3: If you get the newer ones that maybe haven't been
- 21:21Speaker 3: worn so many times, just do a good solid smell test.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but is this a test, you know, get it out,
- 21:26Speaker 1: check it all, days, you know, when it arrives?
- 21:29Speaker 3: Yes, okay.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Because you would have picked that up but obviously you wouldn't.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Well, you can only pick them up the day of
- 21:36Speaker 3: because you pay for the days that you've got and
- 21:38Speaker 3: otherwise they'll hire it out to someone else. So you
- 21:40Speaker 3: don't have a whole heap of time to do the tests.
- 21:43Speaker 3: But I just, my word of warning to you, Elizabeth,
- 21:47Speaker 3: some of them can be on the nose. Okay.
- 21:49Speaker 5: So can you just talk me through your process? Did
- 21:51Speaker 5: you go in and try one and say, I'll rent
- 21:53Speaker 5: this for the next 48 hours and bring it back?
- 21:56Speaker 3: But then you would have to go back. So you
- 21:58Speaker 3: go in and they've got them all out and you
- 22:00Speaker 3: choose what you want and then you put your date
- 22:02Speaker 3: in that you want it. So you can't, I don't
- 22:04Speaker 3: think you can take it straight away. I'm not sure
- 22:07Speaker 3: on that. They obviously have a stack of them. sort
- 22:10Speaker 3: of out the back. I can't even remember how it worked,
- 22:12Speaker 3: to be honest, but I was traumatised and haven't done
- 22:14Speaker 3: it since.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I think it's outrageous that you're talking about hygiene matters.
- 22:19Speaker 1: But anyway, I bet there are lots of people who
- 22:25Speaker 1: have good experiences. Speaking of fancy dresses, I went somewhere
- 22:31Speaker 1: on a night in the past week. I think it
- 22:34Speaker 1: was Wednesday night in Trader I went to the opening
- 22:37Speaker 1: night of the Musical 6 here in Sydney and there
- 22:41Speaker 1: were lots of the Sydney hoi polloi there. Actually, hoi
- 22:46Speaker 1: polloi is not fancy, isn't it?
- 22:49Speaker 4: I think you're thinking glitterati. Is that what you're looking for?
- 22:52Speaker 1: Lots of Sydney glitterati there.
- 22:53Speaker 3: More names.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Edmund Simons, Lesley Wilkinson, Amanda Keller and no dribble zone,
- 23:02Speaker 1: not that she's ever been on it or possibly even
- 23:04Speaker 1: heard of it, Nicky Webster. was there. And amazingly, her
- 23:10Speaker 1: daughter was there.
- 23:11Speaker 4: She's not old enough to have children.
- 23:14Speaker 1: She has two children and they look about 14 and 12.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Her daughter is an absolute dead ringer. So I looked
- 23:23Speaker 1: at the daughter and went, there's Nikki Webster. And then
- 23:25Speaker 1: I went, oh no, there's Nikki Webster 25 years ago
- 23:28Speaker 1: and turned around and there is the actual Nikki Webster
- 23:31Speaker 1: who does not look much older. But her daughter is
- 23:34Speaker 1: Like the essence, it looks like there's been no other
- 23:39Speaker 1: genes in the gene pool except Nikki Webster.
- 23:43Speaker 4: That's phenomenal.
- 23:44Speaker 5: Now, can we just remind everyone who might not be
- 23:46Speaker 5: quite as sharp as we are, Nikki Webster was a
- 23:49Speaker 5: young woman who sang and did she fly?
- 23:52Speaker 4: No, she flew.
- 23:53Speaker 5: Yeah, she flew in the opening ceremony of the Sydney
- 23:55Speaker 5: 2000 Olympics. So I always think of her as– That
- 23:59Speaker 5: Nikki Webster.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Yes, forgetting, of course, that.
- 24:02Speaker 5: She is now 26 years on Nikki Webster and has
- 24:05Speaker 5: had a full life, obviously, with two children.
- 24:08Speaker 4: How does that happen, though?
- 24:09Speaker 5: How do you totally, like, cut out one part of
- 24:12Speaker 5: the gene pool?
- 24:13Speaker 1: I don't know. Well, it is extraordinary.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Rangers have strong DNA, don't they?
- 24:19Speaker 4: She doesn't.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Why can't you say rangers?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Of course you can.
- 24:24Speaker 5: Because it's a recessive– I thought red hair was a
- 24:27Speaker 5: recessive gene.
- 24:28Speaker 3: No, but that's the thing. So the ones that get
- 24:30Speaker 3: through are like really aggressive.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I thought it was a dominant gene and that's why, yeah.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I think Catherine doesn't quite work out, doesn't quite.
- 24:46Speaker 4: I actually don't know.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And they do all originate from Scotland, all the.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Red heath in the world.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Oh, God, are you serious?
- 24:56Speaker 1: No, that's what the heath is.
- 24:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I'm trying to gain some ground back here for all
- 25:00Speaker 1: of the people who we've just lost.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Sorry, guys. Oh, God.
- 25:14Speaker 1: This is a podcast about genetics where you get to
- 25:17Speaker 1: learn about dominant and recessive genes. I want to say
- 25:20Speaker 1: allele because that used to be something from biology.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Anyway, let me tell you about Six. It is a
- 25:26Speaker 1: musical about the six wives of Henry VIII and there
- 25:30Speaker 1: are six women playing the six wives. There is a
- 25:33Speaker 1: band of all female musicians, the four of them on South.
- 25:37Speaker 5: Henry VIII was a redhead, wasn't he?
- 25:42Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Probably.
- 25:43Speaker 4: I think he was.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Okay, yes.
- 25:45Speaker 5: I can't speak.
- 25:46Speaker 4: I don't even know why I'm laughing anymore.
- 25:49Speaker 3: I know. I'm sorry.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm just going to sit here patiently.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I'm listening.
- 25:52Speaker 5: Go.
- 25:53Speaker 3: It was good. I was enjoying it.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Just looking at your face. Oh, dear.
- 26:02Speaker 4: And no intermission, I hear.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Was there an intermission?
- 26:06Speaker 1: Look at Catherine engaging. That's nice and respectful.
- 26:08Speaker 3: No, but it happens that too because it's just you
- 26:11Speaker 3: get in, you get it done, you get out.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Particularly at that, so this was at the Theatre Royal
- 26:15Speaker 1: in Sydney and upstairs is incredibly steep. So Dottie and
- 26:18Speaker 1: I were sitting up there and it's like, I got
- 26:21Speaker 1: into my seat without falling down the stairs and then
- 26:24Speaker 1: went out. But it's so good.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Little question for you though.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Did you have a little napsy? I didn't.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Didn't you?
- 26:30Speaker 1: I didn't, no. What?
- 26:32Speaker 4: And do you have to know the history to enjoy it?
- 26:35Speaker 1: You don't have to know anything. It gets explained to
- 26:38Speaker 1: you the whole way through. I didn't know any of
- 26:40Speaker 1: the music in advance either. What are you after?
- 26:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:47Speaker 1: You don't have to know. It's all there in song
- 26:50Speaker 1: and it's great. I think it's really, really fabulous. And
- 26:54Speaker 1: then sort of at the end there is a, well,
- 26:59Speaker 1: this isn't going to spoil anything for several years, but essentially.
- 27:02Speaker 4: He died some time ago, didn't he?
- 27:03Speaker 1: He did die some time ago. And the whole thing
- 27:05Speaker 1: is like, you know, he was the first wife divorced,
- 27:09Speaker 1: the second one was beheaded, the third one died, the
- 27:12Speaker 1: fourth one was divorced, the fifth one was beheaded. and
- 27:16Speaker 1: the sixth one survived. And this is all in the
- 27:18Speaker 1: very first song and also in actual history. But they
- 27:21Speaker 1: talk about it and then go, these women have only
- 27:24Speaker 1: ever been known in their relationship to him as their
- 27:27Speaker 1: husband and they are, who were they in their own
- 27:31Speaker 1: right and why does history always have to be history
- 27:34Speaker 1: instead of history? Great music, really fabulous sets and costumes
- 27:40Speaker 1: and dancing and there's There's six performers, actually all ten
- 27:44Speaker 1: of them on stage. The musicians are absolutely incredible. And
- 27:47Speaker 1: then these six actresses who play the leads, great voices
- 27:53Speaker 1: and they're on for the whole thing. No one goes
- 27:55Speaker 1: off stage at all. It's well worth watching. So it's
- 27:57Speaker 1: in Sydney now and it is going to Melbourne after that.
- 28:01Speaker 1: And I just highly recommend it, absolutely fabulous musical, well
- 28:06Speaker 1: worth going to watch. even if Nikki Webster doesn't happen
- 28:10Speaker 1: to be there on the night that you're there. It's
- 28:12Speaker 1: well worth it.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Disappointing.
- 28:13Speaker 1: And there's a throne out in the foyer that you
- 28:17Speaker 1: can take a photo on afterwards. There was not a
- 28:19Speaker 1: red carpet. It was a purple carpet this time. I
- 28:21Speaker 1: made my daughter get photos on the purple carpet with me.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Oh, was she cringing?
- 28:25Speaker 1: She did not want to do that.
- 28:26Speaker 3: No, I can imagine.
- 28:28Speaker 1: She wanted to.
- 28:29Speaker 3: When did we become so uncool?
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Or were we never cool?
- 28:34Speaker 4: I was going to say that suggests that maybe once
- 28:35Speaker 4: we were cool. Right.
- 28:37Speaker 1: What is cool?
- 28:38Speaker 4: True.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You can define it.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Anyway, so that's my no dribble recommends for the week.
- 28:43Speaker 4: That's a great recommend.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Also recommend don't give your children white bread and then
- 28:47Speaker 1: every so often you do it and it's the cheapest bread.
- 28:49Speaker 3: They can get. Straight away, though, I'm thinking you've got
- 28:51Speaker 3: to have some margarine and some hundreds and thousands on that.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I haven't had margarine in years.
- 28:56Speaker 4: No, my son dropped hundreds and thousands recently and I'm
- 29:00Speaker 4: still finding them.
- 29:02Speaker 3: And they lose their colour too eventually.
- 29:04Speaker 5: And the robovac does not like the hundreds and thousands.
- 29:07Speaker 5: A little swinging arm that comes out of the robovac.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Flicks them.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Flicks them on. So I'm biting them all the way
- 29:12Speaker 4: through my house.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Come on, Dobby, get your act together.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Dobby, be better.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Something we've discovered during the long lockdown that we had
- 29:20Speaker 1: in New South Wales in 2021 was this manufacturer of
- 29:23Speaker 1: greeting cards and cards So we just bought a bunch
- 29:26Speaker 1: of them and sent them to people as their birthday
- 29:28Speaker 1: gifts and it would open and it would play happy birthday.
- 29:31Speaker 1: That's very nice, isn't it? But then it wouldn't stop.
- 29:35Speaker 1: So it was a great prank. This thing just went
- 29:38Speaker 1: on and on and there were no buttons. You could.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Press.
- 29:40Speaker 1: You can't stop it. So what do you do then?
- 29:42Speaker 3: You rip it to pieces in frustration.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Glitter everywhere.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 29:48Speaker 4: It was such a great prank.
- 29:50Speaker 1: We did it for about half a dozen people. And
- 29:53Speaker 1: for some months afterwards people were going, I've still got
- 29:56Speaker 1: bloody glitter on the floor that hasn't been cleaned up yet.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Oh, I think I'd get a tick if you'd done
- 30:00Speaker 3: that to me.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Actually, that would be funny. Can we?
- 30:04Speaker 1: Well, I had to read my dad and my brother
- 30:07Speaker 1: because we were sending one to my stepmum who keeps
- 30:09Speaker 1: a tidy house and so I can make sure this
- 30:11Speaker 1: happens outside. If you're going to open it, make sure
- 30:13Speaker 1: it happens either in the kitchen or outside. It cannot
- 30:16Speaker 1: be on the carpet because, you know, some people you go,
- 30:18Speaker 1: this won't be a joyful thing for them.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Some people. Yeah.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Yeah, well, now I've ruined the surprise anyway. Yeah, I'm
- 30:27Speaker 1: not opening anything.
- 30:28Speaker 3: That is sunny.
- 30:29Speaker 5: Yeah, whereas I feel like finding glitter for months would
- 30:32Speaker 5: be so much more joyous than finding hundreds of thousands.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Well, true, yes. With all the ants that have been
- 30:37Speaker 3: hiding them too. Yeah, good point you make.
- 30:40Speaker 4: Glitter's okay, but don't send me one because I'm not
- 30:42Speaker 4: a very good cleaner.
- 30:46Speaker 3: You look gorgeous though.
- 30:47Speaker 4: You do.
- 30:47Speaker 3: I'm loving this outfit. And have you got matching glasses on?
- 30:50Speaker 3: Are they red?
- 30:51Speaker 5: No, they're brown but maybe in the dull light.
- 30:56Speaker 3: You're throwing red lights in your glasses that match your outfit.
- 30:59Speaker 3: I'm loving it.
- 31:00Speaker 4: It's just a red jumper.
- 31:02Speaker 5: I've got jeans on. I've got a red jumper on.
- 31:05Speaker 5: It's just because I look like such a slob. And
- 31:07Speaker 5: I actually did look at myself the other day on
- 31:09Speaker 5: one of our clips and I thought I really do
- 31:10Speaker 5: need to actually– look like I take some care of myself.
- 31:13Speaker 5: I forget that we are now available on YouTube. And
- 31:16Speaker 5: so this is the way I look.
- 31:18Speaker 4: You've overdone it.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Now we feel bad.
- 31:21Speaker 1: But thank you for that. That's a great reminder. Please
- 31:24Speaker 1: subscribe to our YouTube channel. That would be fabulous. Thank
- 31:27Speaker 1: you very much. You can see the whole episode there
- 31:29Speaker 1: as well as wherever you get your podcasts. But I
- 31:34Speaker 1: guess that's all we've got time for. She won't stand
- 31:36Speaker 1: up and do a twirl. So that's the end.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Well, I'm very glad she joined us this week.
- 31:41Speaker 4: I am too.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Thank you for your company, Elizabeth.
- 31:42Speaker 1: And it was fun to take the piss out of
- 31:44Speaker 1: your EV. But, yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Thank you. Thanks for letting me.
- 31:47Speaker 3: We're glad you're here.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Okay.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Well, it's Friday. Tomorrow is Saturday. There will be a
- 31:53Speaker 1: No Dribble event. And then on Sunday there will be
- 31:56Speaker 1: a Diamonds game. You now know the Super Netball draw.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Make sure that you get your diaries out. Plug in
- 32:02Speaker 1: the games. We've got to go to the games. We've
- 32:04Speaker 1: got to watch the games. We've got to buy the merch.
- 32:07Speaker 1: We've got to go to Rebel. We've got to go...
- 32:08Speaker 1: Where's the diamonds merch? So they go, oh, we're so
- 32:11Speaker 1: clever stocking this stamp. So we know we've got to
- 32:14Speaker 1: outsmart them. Anyway, that's all we've got time for.
- 32:16Speaker 4: I like your diamond shirt.
- 32:18Speaker 3: It's nice, isn't it?
- 32:18Speaker 1: I've got one for you.
- 32:20Speaker 4: I'm looking at their merch and loving it.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so good.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Well, ASICS gave me one to give to you.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Yay!
- 32:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll give that to you on Saturday. All right,
- 32:29Speaker 1: that's all we've got time for. My name's Carolyn Spindel.
- 32:31Speaker 3: I'm Kath Cox.
- 32:33Speaker 4: I'm Liz Ellis. Bye. I'm just going to.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Pop this up on our screen for you. Bye.
- 32:45Speaker 5: So how did Carolyn take the Japanese beauty things when
- 32:48Speaker 5: you pulled them out?
- 32:49Speaker 3: Mate, she was right into it. Like I think actually
- 32:53Speaker 3: ha-ha joking along with me but also thinking, oh, this
- 32:56Speaker 3: could work. She got straight into that thing around her head.
- 32:59Speaker 3: She's had that other thing in her mouth way too often.
- 33:02Speaker 3: It was a joke at the start but way too
- 33:06Speaker 3: into it. But the problem is next– yeah, we won't
- 33:08Speaker 3: recognise her next time we see her.
- 33:10Speaker 5: I was going to say the mouth thing. She's going
- 33:11Speaker 5: to come in looking like a chipmunk with all the
- 33:13Speaker 5: muscles in her mouth.
- 33:16Speaker 4: We can only hope.
