- 0:16Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to another episode of the Freshest Sounds podcast.
- 0:22I do apologize on my behalf that it has been a while since I have done one of these episodes
- 0:27but I'm back raring to go.
- 0:31So before I start anything I just want to say a massive thank you to all the artists who have
- 0:35sent in music for the episode this week.
- 0:41We have only got two artists this week for this episode obviously I am just getting back into
- 0:47things so I am just going through emails and everything now.
- 0:52These two artists have sent in two songs so all we are going to do is play two of their songs
- 0:59and that is going to be it done dusted for the podcast episode.
- 1:05Without further ado and ladies and gentlemen here is the first track I hope you enjoy.
- 3:13I'm gonna shake.
- 3:15Shake it down.
- 3:17I'm gonna shake.
- 3:46song was called Get It Out.
- 3:50I really enjoyed that song to be honest with you.
- 3:54Sort of getting like an indie vibenot rock as such, but if you know your music, you know what
- 4:03I mean.
- 4:05Yeah, no, kinda was getting like an oasis vibe as well from it.
- 4:09What did you think of it watching?
- 4:11You know what to do, let me know in this comment section down below.
- 4:15Thank you very much.
- 4:16So they have sent in another song as well, so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna play this one
- 4:20now.
- 4:20This is called Days in the Sun.
- 4:23So let's see what it's about.
- 4:41Of dreams.
- 4:44And now it seems like yesterday's dust on an old amplifier.
- 6:01Stage your passion, following paces and moonlet turned faces hiding away.
- 6:12Well, I've been on the road for so long, long.
- 6:17And it felt good to sing the new songs.
- 6:21Now that I'm back, I found what I lacked from a time when nothing went I've Well, I think of
- 7:06you.
- 7:08And I'm
- 7:25And there you have it ladies and gentlemen that was Days in the Sun.
- 7:30Again I really really enjoyed that song to be honest with you.
- 7:34To say these are hot music artists as well, I am assuming that they are hooking me as well
- 7:39because that sounds like proper radio quarter in my eyes anyway.
- 7:46So it is not something I would put on my Spotify playlist personally but it is amazing,
- 7:55the instruments, the vocals, just everything went together so so well and it seems like
- 8:02these people or this band has been doing this for a very long time and I am absolutely
- 8:11honoured and blessed to feature you and to have you on the podcast and I just want to say thank
- 8:17you very much from the bottom of my heart for them two songs in because I really appreciate
- 8:22it and is just nice to hear different music as well from all over the world.
- 8:29I am assuming that these are Americans, get there in the end.
- 8:40So going to play the next set of songs so just bear with me one second please while I just get
- 8:52this up.
- 8:56I accidentally knocked off my emails as we were doing this.
- 9:02It was look very professional, but we wing it on this podcast.
- 9:07That is what I like about it, just winging it.
- 9:16Got a few songs there actually.
- 9:20Five to be exact I thought.
- 9:23So this is off an artist Waver.
- 9:33So I'm just going to play one at random.
- 9:39This is Waver and it's called Stealth.
- 10:14Venom in the system I can feel it when it goes in here Sharpen the cantanos bit an atom with a
- 10:19frozen spear Angel with a mantra every chapter is accorded tear Travels in the patterns of the
- 10:24matter till the roads are share breaking every barrier the carrier a frozen fate Whispers in
- 10:28the ether as I wander through darkness, same Ripping through the kingdom like a rapture When
- 11:44the patterns race Storming in the silence With the presence that outbreak the glass One in
- 11:48every tower When I'm rising Better face the clash Carving through the iron Leave them
- 11:52crying in a wasted mass Harness all the fire turning higher Watch it chase the ass
- 12:11And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen.
- 12:13That was Waver Stealth.
- 12:16I wow.
- 12:19I really enjoyed that one, to be honest with you.
- 12:21Thank you very much for sending that one in.
- 12:25And I'm quite privileged to get songs like this sent into the podcast because it's amazing to
- 12:34hear this raw and absolute talent from, you know, all these artists from all over the world
- 12:41and, you know, some of them, majority of them are better than radio quality stuff that we are
- 12:48listening to right now and it's very very mesmerising by, you know, the sounds and what
- 12:56gets sent in.
- 12:57But, yeah, no, I really enjoyed that one, to be honest with you.
- 13:01That's number one for me, that song right there then.
- 13:04So there's no room for improvement on that one, in my eyes personally, but, you know, the genre
- 13:12of music I was getting was drum and bass and a bit of garage vibe as well.
- 13:18You know, mostly drum and bass anyway, but I was just getting an instant intimacy with a bit
- 13:23of a garage vibe as well.
- 13:26I'm going to play Wave It, No Keys next and let's see if it's another drum and bass track.
- 14:01Wait complete but never woke I like the different drifting game Bro, I smile but it's a
- 14:06joke.
- 14:06The punchline's where the twist begins.
- 14:08Thus too loud to hear my thoughts.
- 14:09They circle back like twisted wind.
- 14:11Trapped inside a struggle ghost to paint pills off like bristy skin.
- 14:14Since my mugs of sodium tea, my breakfast got prescriptions in.
- 14:18Pills dissolve like memories, I chase them down with friction thin.
- 14:21Eyes been dry for seven weeks, I see but feel no grip within.
- 14:24Think I'm fine then lose myself, can't tell what part is real or grim.
- 14:28Floating through the daylight vapour barely touching what I see.
- 14:31Couches home and foods and maybe time dissolves like melted sleep.
- 14:35Friends don't ring, I lost the signal.
- 14:36Bro, it's nothing left to keep.
- 14:38I just go through reels of silence drowning in this soundless deep.
- 14:41Ain't no fear, just empty sequence.
- 14:43Every breath's every run, bleak of words.
- 14:45Don't mind the echo cryptic walls, his voice I hear becomes a slurp.
- 15:02Pain don't shout, he softly clawed.
- 15:03He leaves his mark, but don't confirm.
- 15:05Now I write my life in stores just hoping someone hears this hurt.
- 15:09Spoke to bro, but never said it.
- 15:10I'm not built for these routines, so I just keep my breath alight and smile between
- 15:14descriptive scenes.
- 15:15Every breath feels like a rental, bro.
- 15:17I'm leans by what I've seen.
- 15:19The house with doors and roads of grief, and I don't even own the keys.
- 15:22Wait to start again.
- 15:23My skull like haunted taps that never end.
- 15:25Half my brain's in breath and fog, the other half won't let it mend.
- 15:29Hurry skinks have weeded them down by sparkling pain and breathe again.
- 15:32Laying flat in frozen sheets, cums are flat.
- 15:34It's my only friend.
- 15:36Broke the tally, talks in tongues, I knew it just to play pretend.
- 15:39I watched the shadow stretch and call, I know their names, they like to bend, feel the chill
- 15:43inside my chest, like winter's dropped, this place to rent, I ain't left this flat in days,
- 15:47I'm speaking smoke with no intent, clothes been slept in, fridge is empty, bins full up with
- 15:52tabbed regret, I ain't broke, but I ain't mending, I'm just waiting to forget.
- 15:56Calls come in, I let them echo.
- 15:58Words just bounce around the set.
- 15:59Text me bros like I'm just chilling.
- 16:01Truth is I ain't left my bed.
- 16:03Mine's been pressing like a needle, scratching versus bleeding lead.
- 16:06All my thoughts just look like vinyl.
- 16:08Every spin repeats was set.
- 16:09Used to dream of peace in corners.
- 16:11Now I dream of black instead.
- 16:13Bro, I'm floating through the silence like I'm trying to join the dead.
- 16:16Doors don't rock, they just dissolve.
- 16:18I lost the key inside the blur.
- 16:19Thoughts unfold in cryptic walls, each voice I hear becomes a slur.
- 16:23Pain don't shout, he softly closed.
- 16:24He leaves his mark, but don't confer.
- 16:26Now I write my life in stores just hoping someone hears this hurt.
- 16:30Spoke to bro, but never said it.
- 16:31I'm not built for these routines, so I just keep my breath a light and smile between
- 16:35descriptive scenes.
- 16:36Every breath feels like a rental, bro.
- 16:38I'm leans by what I've seen.
- 16:40The house with doors and roads of grief and I don't even own the keys.
- 17:36And there you have it ladies and gentlemen, that was waver no keys.
- 17:40What I thought of that, I thought it was absolutely amazing.
- 17:44We've just gone from a drum and bass track to a more chilled blues sort of melody and you know,
- 17:57if everything is true in that track what you are saying, please reach out to me because I am
- 18:02a big advocate for mental health myself, I do suffer for mental health also us guys we need

- 18:19than welcome to email me as well.
- 18:23Will sort some stuff out from there.
- 18:26Going back to the song, I thought it was absolutely amazing, there is no for improvement
- 18:31there whatsoever.
- 18:32I liked everything about it.
- 18:34I loved the lyrics as well because you are actually speaking truth and I was saying this
- 18:41to someone not so long ago, like the music that's out now, you know, they don't really
- 18:47speak much truth and everything and it's just like I don't even know how to word it to be
- 18:55honest with you because it's just some of them are ridiculous and the lyrics just don't make
- 19:03sense or anything whatsoever.
- 19:06So yeah, really enjoyed that one.
- 19:13Yeah, thank you for sending them in.
