- 0:00Speaker 1: You know, on Light FM and all of the iHeartRadio
- 0:02Speaker 1: stations across the country, we have a kind of a
- 0:04Speaker 1: new slogan. We've been saying it, guaranteed human. And the
- 0:08Speaker 1: reason we've been saying that is you don't know who
- 0:10Speaker 1: to trust anymore. Because with AI coming for us, we
- 0:13Speaker 1: want to make sure that we're telling people, hey, here
- 0:14Speaker 1: at Light FM or whatever radio station you listen to
- 0:16Speaker 1: in the iHeartRadio community, we are live. We are real people.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm hitting buttons, starting songs. We are all... Uh, uh, uh, uh.
- 0:26Speaker 2: What? That's me. That's my robot.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Oh, you're acting like I'm skipping or something.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. No, don't scare me. No, I'm real.
- 0:32Speaker 1: We're real.
- 0:33Speaker 2: We're real. Real sound, real pictures, real– although sometimes– But
- 0:37Speaker 2: I do want to– AI can be useful.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I want to talk about ChatGPT, though, and how AI
- 0:41Speaker 1: can be useful. And hopefully it won't take our jobs
- 0:45Speaker 1: one day. But, I mean, heck, I'm using ChatGPT to
- 0:49Speaker 1: look up things. I know. I know. Help with my kids'
- 0:52Speaker 1: first grade homework that I don't understand.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I just... And I... You know what? Yeah. Oh, you
- 0:56Speaker 2: did the other day.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yes. She had to put together, like, a bunch of
- 0:59Speaker 1: sight words. I didn't know what order they went in.
- 1:01Speaker 1: And she actually knew, but I didn't know if she
- 1:04Speaker 1: was doing it right.
- 1:05Speaker 2: You didn't know if it was, like, long vowel, short vowel,
- 1:06Speaker 2: or what they wanted you to do?
- 1:08Speaker 1: I understand.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Did AI solve the problem?
- 1:09Speaker 1: I took a picture of it. And it worked? And
- 1:11Speaker 1: I said, make this board make sense to me.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Oh, I've never done the picture part.
- 1:14Speaker 1: But I didn't tell... My daughter.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Of course not.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And so I just watched what she did.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And if she was off by one, I'd be like, no,
- 1:20Speaker 1: move that here, move that here.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You could have solved it. You just went for the shortcut.
- 1:24Speaker 2: That's how I like to think about it. Like I
- 1:26Speaker 2: write all the time, but I have to say every
- 1:29Speaker 2: once in a while these days and every once around,
- 1:31Speaker 2: meaning like every other day. I'm writing something and I
- 1:34Speaker 2: just don't have the time and I put it in
- 1:35Speaker 2: there and I go, make this better. And it makes it,
- 1:37Speaker 2: most of the time it makes it better.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I know, I know. But sometimes you have to be
- 1:40Speaker 1: careful because it writes like you don't.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Oh, you got to check it. Yeah. You have to
- 1:43Speaker 2: check it.
- 1:43Speaker 1: It writes like you don't speak.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you sound like a robot.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Correct.
- 1:47Speaker 2: But also now the verb and the comma is in
- 1:48Speaker 2: the right spot.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Have you used it recently?
- 1:51Speaker 2: Probably yesterday.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Oh, really? Yeah. So AI is affecting a lot of
- 1:56Speaker 1: people's lives. Some people are saying on Reddit, it's made
- 2:00Speaker 1: my job harder. as it's empowered my junior-level coworkers to
- 2:04Speaker 1: copy-paste AI slop without knowing what they're doing. Ultimately, I
- 2:09Speaker 1: have to clean up the problems they cause. These are
- 2:11Speaker 1: from people from Reddit.
- 2:12Speaker 2: This one I agree with, too. It's ruined animal videos.
- 2:15Speaker 2: You know, people have, like, all these, you know, you're
- 2:17Speaker 2: on Instagram, and it has, like, a sheep kissing an elephant.
- 2:19Speaker 1: You don't believe it anymore.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Well, it'll say AI generated on a lot of them.
- 2:23Speaker 2: You can see that.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Not all of them, though.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 1: That's the problem, though. You're right. You just don't know
- 2:27Speaker 1: if it really happened or was it fake.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Google search is significantly worse. I guess that's true.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Well, they're all sponsored now, too. Do you know what
- 2:36Speaker 2: I mean?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Whatever shows at the top probably has money. It's the
- 2:39Speaker 2: bigger company.
- 2:40Speaker 1: But if you have a quick question, are you more
- 2:41Speaker 1: likely to go to ChatGPT than you are Google?
- 2:43Speaker 2: I still Google. I don't go to ChatGPT, to be
- 2:45Speaker 2: honest with you. You can still use Google AI to
- 2:47Speaker 2: just fix a sentence.
- 2:48Speaker 1: That's true. Again, on Reddit, I'm a graphic designer. It's
- 2:53Speaker 1: ruining everything. It's made someone said it's made a large
- 2:57Speaker 1: portion of people who are already not very sharp, noticeably
- 3:00Speaker 1: dumber and somehow even more arrogant in their ignorance. Yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 1: that's one thing I will say about AI. It's not
- 3:06Speaker 1: always great.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's not always great. The synthetic voice thing is taken.
- 3:10Speaker 2: It has actually taken a lot of people's jobs who do,
- 3:13Speaker 2: you know, speak for a living or read for a
- 3:14Speaker 2: living or talk for a living. Yeah. So even if
- 3:16Speaker 2: you use it for convenience sake, like trying to fix
- 3:20Speaker 2: a sentence or whatever, or this guy who was saying reports,
- 3:23Speaker 2: you have to check them.
- 3:24Speaker 1: So I'm curious, has AI directly affected your life so far?
- 3:27Speaker 1: Hit us up on text 44363. And I'm very proud, again,
- 3:31Speaker 1: to say that our company, you know, I love when
- 3:33Speaker 1: they said we're going to come out with guaranteed human.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I was applauding that.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Who gets the guarantee? Like if there's a robot, do
- 3:40Speaker 2: we make money? Who gets the money?
- 3:42Speaker 1: Well, no, they're saying that's true. Don't scare me now.
- 3:46Speaker 2: All right.
