- 0:53Welcome to Bible Women and Bathrobes.
- 0:56We are so excited to have you here today.
- 0:59My name is Tiffany Fletcher and I'll be your host today.
- 1:01And today we have two of the most amazing women that are our co founders.
- 1:07For Women warriors of Light, we have Tamara Anderson.
- 1:12How are you today, Tamara?
- 1:13I'm doing well, thank you.
- 1:15Good.
- 1:15And Wendi Christensen.
- 1:17Welcome.
- 1:17Wendi.
- 1:18Hi, Tiffany.
- 1:20So today is an important topic that we're going to talk about, one that is very, very important.
- 1:27At least I believe in today's world, and we clearly believe that too.
- 1:31That's why we're here.
- 1:32Today we are going to talk about the weapons of the adversary.
- 1:35So in the previous podcast we've talked about all of the armor of light that we can put on to protect ourselves from the adversary.
- 1:43Today we are going to talk about the weapons.
- 1:46And we've already talked about fiery darts.
- 1:48We know that those are some of the weapons that he throws at us.
- 1:51But we're going to talk about some other weapons.
- 1:53So start with Tamara.
- 1:55Tamara, as you've researched in the scriptures, what are some of the weapons that you have noticed that the adversary flings at us?
- 2:02Oh, these are really good.
- 2:04And so I'll kind of mention these.
- 2:06And I think Wendy has more experience with all of this, so I'll let her go into it as well.
- 2:11But it was so interesting that as I dove into this topic that I found so many references throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament.
- 2:22And for example, there are snares, or maybe you could call them hooks, things that, for example, in 1st Timothy 3, verse 7, it says, Lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
- 2:38So the devil is out there and he's trying to catch us.
- 2:42Like he's fishing.
- 2:44Yeah, he's throwing a hook.
- 2:46And I see it as like a hook of a thought.
- 2:51Many times it tends to be a thought that's A hook.
- 2:54And what it's meant to do is just hook us and reel us in.
- 2:59And it could be a thought like, you're not enough.
- 3:02You can't do this.
- 3:03You're.
- 3:03You're.
- 3:04You're a poor mom.
- 3:05You're incapable.
- 3:07And what happens is he'll throw it at us, we'll believe it.
- 3:11And that's how he hooks us, right?
- 3:14And then he starts.
- 3:15Fascinating.
- 3:16That's fascinating.
- 3:17I.
- 3:17I never thought.
- 3:18I mean, I know I've taught people this before, too.
- 3:21And a lot of the talks that I do, that Satan puts thoughts into our mind, but I never thought of them as hooks before.
- 3:29That's really fascinating.
- 3:30And it makes sense because, I mean, you know, I'm a writer and we use hooks all the time, right?
- 3:35The beginning of every chapter, there's a hook to get someone.
- 3:38You write something.
- 3:39It's a thought, an idea from my mind that hooks people, that brings them in and.
- 3:43And helps them want to stay.
- 3:45Right.
- 3:45And that's exactly what the adversary does.
- 3:47I never like.
- 3:48It's interesting because Heavenly Father has certain things that he does.
- 3:52Right.
- 3:53But there's an equal and opposite in the adversary as well.
- 3:56So that's fascinating.
- 3:57Thanks for sharing, Wendy.
- 3:58What are some other weapons, Tamara?
- 4:00Yeah, so we've got the snares, the hooks, and then the next one I found was cords.
- 4:06And this is all throughout the Scriptures.
- 4:09Here's one in Proverbs, chapter 5, verse 22, that we.
- 4:13We will be holden with the cords of sin.
- 4:18And so it's something that.
- 4:20That once n.
- 4:22Kind of has snared us, then he starts to wrap us up.
- 4:26And I thought Wendi could dive more into that.
- 4:29Absolutely.
- 4:31I love how everything you're saying is exactly.
- 4:34I'm like, oh, this flowing beautifully, as far as I understand, you know, and it comes from working with people for so many years, especially in mental health, because I see it play out so many times where.
- 4:47Just like I was talking about, like a hook, for example, if.
- 4:50If he were to hook me with.
- 4:52You're not enough as a mom.
- 4:54Like, you're just really.
- 4:55You're doing a poor job.
- 4:56You're not doing a great job.
- 4:58And if I start believing that and he starts reeling me in, it's like the cords start binding me to where I believe.
- 5:05I'm starting to believe that thought more and more in my life.
- 5:09Not only is it just a thought that's passed through my mind, I start integrating it right where I start believing, oh, yeah, I really am a poor mom.
- 5:17I really don't do a Good job.
- 5:19My kids must hate me.
- 5:20I really am doing a poor job in everything I do, and I start feeling maybe guilt and shame.
- 5:27And those are the cords that he's starting to wrap around me, because I'm starting to believe it more and more in my life, and I'm starting to actually act it out in my life, if that makes sense, to
- 5:38where it's starting to become a part of me.
- 5:40Unfortunately, that's kind of how I see with those cords.
- 5:43And it's starting to bind me, so it's limiting what I'm able to do.
- 5:49That makes total sense, I think, sometimes.
- 5:52I mean, coming with a mom who had severe mental illness, right?
- 5:55Like, my mom had multiple personalities, 14 different alters.
- 5:58And I can see how the adversary bound her.
- 6:02Like, those cords, those things that she believed they bound her, and they kept her from moving forward in her.
- 6:09In her life.
- 6:10Like, not even in her mission, but just in her mission as a mother, in her motherhood, you know?
- 6:14And that is so incredible to think about that.
- 6:18As these hooks, as he starts, then he takes that.
- 6:21Like, I love how you said it was a fishing pole, because it makes me really think about how, like, if we get hooked with a fishing pole and we just keep walking, it's just going to keep binding us,
- 6:30right?
- 6:30It's going to wrap around us again and again and again until we can't function properly.
- 6:37And I had never really thought about that before until now.
- 6:42So thank you so much.
- 6:44Totally makes sense, and I love it.
- 6:46Tamara, do you have any thoughts that you'd like to share or any other weapons you'd like to move on to?
- 6:52This idea just popped into my mind, and we were at a beach.
- 6:57My family was at a beach several years ago, and there was a seagull that came up, and he wanted some food, but he had a fishing hook in his mouth, and it had kind of bound.
- 7:10Like, he tried to get it off and tried to bind it, but it was, like, totally.
- 7:16And so we tried to catch him, to help him to remove it, but of course, he didn't let us close enough to catch him.
- 7:23But I felt so bad because I saw this seagull, and he had this hook in him and.
- 7:28And in his beak, and.
- 7:30And we wanted to help him get it out.
- 7:32And so sometimes we may be seeing other people that have these things.
- 7:38And I know, Wendy, especially as a counselor, you.
- 7:41You see people that have these thoughts that have turned into something real in their lives, and they believe that thought.
- 7:50It has become a reality to them, and.
- 7:55And they're lies.
- 7:56They're the lies that Satan puts in our mind, and we really turn them into beliefs, and then they become a part of us.
- 8:04And, and, and they become bands.
- 8:08I was just reading here in Isaiah 52.
- 8:13Two, it says, Shake thyself from the dust.
- 8:17Arise and sit down, O Jerusalem.
- 8:19Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
- 8:25So I think that these things can really bind us down.
- 8:30And then there's another verse.
- 8:32And sin can also bind us down.
- 8:35So here's another one.
- 8:38For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity, you know, so there are lots of ways Satan also will use these thoughts to get us to take action, to actually sin.
- 8:55And the blessing is that Jesus is powerful enough to help us remove those bonds, remove these hooks, remove these cords, remove whatever, right?
- 9:07And I think.
- 9:08I think that that's really the power, right?
- 9:10Because if you think about the thoughts that Satan throws at us, those hooks, and then he.
- 9:16He binds us with them, there is real danger in.
- 9:20In not recognizing that.
- 9:22And there is danger in allowing those bands like the seagull or the hooks to just become a part of us, right?
- 9:28And.
- 9:29And not being able to take them out.
- 9:30And, and how beautiful it is that Jesus in his atonement, made it possible for us to be able to remove those.
- 9:39And, and that is what we're going to really talk about in the bulk of today with Wendy.
- 9:44And I'm so grateful that she's here to, to help us understand.
- 9:47So, Wendy, what.
- 9:48What is the danger in listening to those, and what can we do to remove them?
- 9:54There's actually one more that I find a lot too, with the hooks and the cords.
- 10:01There's also anchors.
- 10:03And it's interesting because we talk about the anchor, Christ being the anchor for us, right?
- 10:09Well, sometimes Satan tries to anchor, which is pull us down even farther.
- 10:15So he hooks us and reels us in.
- 10:18He starts binding us with these cords, and then we become anchored.
- 10:23And when we are becoming anchored, it's just like the opposite, right?
- 10:27When we're anchored in Christ, we're like solid in our.
- 10:29In who we are, what we believe about Christ.
- 10:32Like what I would say, our testimony of Christ, what Satan does is when he uses an anchor, it's.
- 10:38We believe something false or untrue about ourselves or our situation that's so solid, we're anchored in it, right?
- 10:47That's another.
- 10:48That's another weapon or tool.
- 10:50And.
- 10:51And then he can fire, you know, these fiery darts or sometimes it's even weapons.
- 10:58And I call them weapons of war that he uses because I feel like we're in a battle with Satan and.
- 11:05And that that battle or that war is strong between good and evil here.
- 11:10And he pulls out all the weapons, the weapons of war, whether you want to see it as.
- 11:17You know, I feel like they're old.
- 11:18Like old battle weapons.
- 11:19Like, it could be an ax or a spear or even a knife.
- 11:25Like it's whatever you can do to poke you and to attack you in any way.
- 11:30And that's why that shield and that armor that we talked about is so, so powerful.
- 11:37When you.
- 11:38When you have that armor of God to protect you, it helps you to fight off the negative thoughts, the negative.
- 11:46Anything that makes you feel like it's not you.
- 11:49Because I feel like our true authentic self, we lose it in all of these lies and these deceptions that we hear and that are thrown at us from Satan.
- 11:58And we get so entangled in it that we forget our sense of self.
- 12:01We forget who we truly are, right?
- 12:04We forget that we are sons and daughters of this God that is almighty and all powerful, that loves us and that Christ has fought for us and saved us.
- 12:15Any of those things that go against that are coming from Satan, right?
- 12:21And that's something that can be so powerful.
- 12:24Think about addiction.
- 12:26You know, I'm thinking about the process of addiction.
- 12:30If you look at it through the lens of usually that hook that's thrown at us might be that first temptation.
- 12:36Maybe it was somebody that, as a teenager, right, they were introduced to alcohol.
- 12:41Somebody said, oh, just take one sip.
- 12:43Just one sip.
- 12:43It's fine.
- 12:44It's not going to matter.
- 12:45It's not going to be any big deal.
- 12:47So maybe you take one sip and you think, okay, not a big deal.
- 12:50That could be enough of a hook.
- 12:52Especially if you've got a genetic propensity to addiction that's enough of a hook that it can hook you.
- 13:00And then let's say you start drinking a little bit more, just on the weekends, just every once in a while, I'm gonna do it.
- 13:06Not a big deal.
- 13:08But.
- 13:09But you find that it's harder.
- 13:11Like you're starting to get a little deeper into that addiction.
- 13:15So that could be the cord starting to wrap around you, right?
- 13:18Because he's hooked you.
- 13:19So you're doing it now every weekend, right?
- 13:22And pretty soon you're noticing.
- 13:25And because he's sly, right?
- 13:27He just does it little by little, and then you're starting to notice.
- 13:32Maybe, maybe while it's summertime, I Can go a little bit more.
- 13:35We're gonna go camping.
- 13:37So maybe not just the weekend, but maybe during the week.
- 13:40Oh, just a Wednesday night is fine.
- 13:43That's not a big deal.
- 13:44And before you know it, it's like an everyday thing, right?
- 13:48That's where that's gonna anchor you, where you're like, I can't function.
- 13:53I can't function without it now.
- 13:55I have to have it every single day.
- 13:57And before you realize that you're consumed by this addiction and you don't even know who you are anymore without the alcohol, I mean, that's kind of an extreme example, but it's just trying to show how Satan can start
- 14:09working in your life to where I'm an alcoholic.
- 14:12I need it every single day.
- 14:13Well, he's got you hook, line, and sinker pretty much in that instance.
- 14:18So then what do I do?
- 14:20You have to call upon your savior to help redeem you, to pull you out of it.
- 14:26And not only him, but there are so many.
- 14:28In that instance, I would say get all the help you can get.
- 14:30You know, pull in support members, family members.
- 14:33Get, you know, aa, whatever meetings you need to get to.
- 14:36Pull in all the forces that can help you to get untangled, unhooked, pull out those anchors, pull out those cords, weapons, everything possible.
- 14:46And.
- 14:46And even though that's an extreme example, if you were to take it on a lighter example, like I was saying before, let's say a mom who thinks I'm a poor mom, I'm not doing a good job, because maybe
- 14:57she had an off day and she yelled at her kid, right?
- 15:00And she's thinking, I'm the most horrible mom.
- 15:03And then she has another really rough day, and she gets kind of like, you are talking a little bit, Tiffany, with your mom.
- 15:10She's.
- 15:11And then she's pulling in all these things from her past, and she's pulling in all this stuff from her history, and she starts.
- 15:18It starts to entangle her.
- 15:21And I would say if it becomes an anchor, it's where she feels so worthless.
- 15:25Maybe she can't get out of bed.
- 15:27Maybe she can't even function.
- 15:29Maybe she.
- 15:29She doesn't even understand that she is like, her just showing up does do something that really helps.
- 15:37Her kids need her, right?
- 15:39Her kids need her to show up.
- 15:40But she can become so entangled and engrossed in this thought of, I'm worthless, I'm incapable, I'm no good, my family's better off without me, that she.
- 15:50She might want to not be here anymore.
- 15:52Like, it's Just these little things that can build, build, build to the bigger things.
- 15:57That.
- 15:58That's when we find that we've lost our complete sense of who we are and our mission and that God can actually use us for so many more things and so much good.
- 16:09If we allow all of those things to pierce our armor, right?
- 16:14Or to cloud our judgment with.
- 16:15We don't have our helmet, it clouds our judgment.
- 16:17If we don't have that breastplate, it.
- 16:19It pierces that armor and it leaves us feeling limp and not able to do what we need to, to show up the way that we need to.
- 16:26And we all get attacked by the way.
- 16:29Everybody gets attacked in some way or another.
- 16:32I was working with my son just last night.
- 16:35He was getting ready to go to bed and I could just feel his heaviness.
- 16:39He's 14, he just made the baseball team.
- 16:42And he is, he's a good student.
- 16:45He's feeling overwhelmed.
- 16:46He's been, you know, trying to, trying to do everything he can with his team.
- 16:51And it's a lot.
- 16:52It's like every day, three, four hours after school, he's doing this.
- 16:56And he's, he's a really, he's been a really great student because Satan could attack even the best of the best, right?
- 17:03And so last night he spent probably after practice, I would say four hours at least, working on homework because he's gotten behind in the last week and it was almost 11:00 at night.
- 17:16And he's usually, wait, he's, you know, he's a ninth grader, so he's usually in bed way before that.
- 17:21But it was after 11, it's probably 11:30.
- 17:24And I just felt so bad because he's like, oh, I have this presentation tomorrow.
- 17:27And I just felt him so heavy and weighed down.
- 17:32And I could tell Satan was working on him.
- 17:34And I just said, hey.
- 17:35And he was even feeling it physically, he had to keep running to the toilet.
- 17:39He's like, I'm not feeling well all of a sudden.
- 17:41And I'm like, oh my gosh, Satan's attacking him.
- 17:43I could see it right in front of my eyes.
- 17:46And I said, okay, come talk to me as soon as you're off the toilet.
- 17:51Because he just, all of a sudden, it hit him really hard.
- 17:54I'm like, it can physically manifest.
- 17:56It can mentally manifest.
- 17:58So after he got done, I said, okay, let's talk for a second.
- 18:01I'm like, how are you feeling?
- 18:02And he's like, I feel so overwhelmed.
- 18:05I feel so.
- 18:06I don't know if I can handle it.
- 18:08All.
- 18:08I don't know if I can do it all.
- 18:10And so I said, okay, let's take some deep breaths for a second, because that's not coming from God.
- 18:16He wasn't feeling himself.
- 18:18And a lot of people are like, how do I recognize it?
- 18:20How do I know?
- 18:20And that's one of the first things I see is this, this overwhelm, this angst, this.
- 18:26I'm not myself.
- 18:27I don't feel who I normally am.
- 18:30So as we're talking it through, and I said, okay, tell me about what's going on.
- 18:34And we talked through some of the school stuff and some of the pressure he's feeling.
- 18:38And I had him do some deep breaths.
- 18:42And I had him do I do forgiveness steps with my kids.
- 18:44So I had him do some forgiving of himself and his situation.
- 18:48And then I said, do you think Satan's working on you?
- 18:51And he said, yeah, I think so.
- 18:53So we actually did what I call casting out.
- 18:56And the way that I like to do this is looking at how is he Let me notice how Satan's attacking me.
- 19:04So if I am feeling very, very overwhelmed, like he was like, okay, let's see how you might be being attacked that way.
- 19:13How is he overwhelming you?
- 19:14Or maybe it could be for somebody.
- 19:16Anxiety, right?
- 19:17Sometimes anxiety will hit me really hard and I'll feel like, oh, my gosh, I don't know, how am I going to do this?
- 19:22How am I going to do this?
- 19:23How am I going to manage all of this, right?
- 19:24And it feels so incredibly overwhelming.
- 19:27Or maybe it's that depression that will set in and you feel so heavy and weighed down and sad and so you're starting to notice.
- 19:35I don't feel like myself.
- 19:36And I'm feeling maybe these dark feelings or emotions.
- 19:40It's almost like they're just coming and weighing you down and you're feeling all consumed.
- 19:46Usually Satan's behind a lot of that too, right?
- 19:50So as he was feeling this way, I said, okay, tell me what's going on inside?
- 19:55And he's like, I don't know.
- 19:56All of a sudden I just felt all this gas and this rumbling and all these things.
- 20:00And I'm like, that's Satan.
- 20:02He can work on you that way, too.
- 20:04It's not every single time.
- 20:05I'm not saying every time you're feeling stomach problems that Satan.
- 20:08But just to see him transform so fast and so quickly, I knew he was getting attacked.
- 20:14So I'm like, okay, let's bring in some light.
- 20:18What I like to do is to pull back for Just a second and remember who I am.
- 20:23So for me, that looks like, okay, I am a daughter of God, and Satan doesn't need to attack me.
- 20:29In fact, he needs to, like, take a hike and get out of here.
- 20:32So for him, I'm like, okay, you're a son of God.
- 20:36God loves you.
- 20:37Jesus Christ is here.
- 20:38He's fighting for you.
- 20:40So let's call upon his power.
- 20:42So we call upon Jesus Christ, because whenever we do, he brings light and he brings power and he allows us to conquer Satan.
- 20:51So the way that we do it is we say, in the name of Jesus Christ, I command.
- 20:58And for him, it was overwhelm, right?
- 21:01It was overwhelm and feeling like I can't do it and I'm incapable.
- 21:05So we cast that out.
- 21:07So we say, in the name of Jesus Christ, I command the spirit of overwhelm.
- 21:11The spirit of being incapable, the spirit of not being able to do it.
- 21:16And then I can't.
- 21:17I can't accomplish what I'm trying to do.
- 21:20We cast that out.
- 21:21We cast that away.
- 21:23And I had him cast it from his stomach and his bowels, and I cast that away from my stomach and my bowels and I bind it for me and my family and my home.
- 21:33And I do that because if Satan's trying to bind me, I'm going to bind him and tell him to leave and get him out of here.
- 21:41Because I don't want him binding me or my kids or my family or my home.
- 21:45I don't want him anywhere near me at all.
- 21:48So I tell him to leave.
- 21:49Everything in my existence, I want you out of my home.
- 21:52I want you away from all my family, and I want you away from me as a person, right?
- 21:57And so we tell that to leave.
- 21:59I usually do.
- 22:01Not everyone needs to do this.
- 22:02But when I'm doing it and working with people, I've learned that Satan likes to attack four main areas.
- 22:07And I think it coincides with the armor of God that you've talked about, right?
- 22:13I do.
- 22:14My heart, because that's where my feelings are.
- 22:16My mind, because that's where my thoughts are.
- 22:19My body, because it's my body.
- 22:21It's not his, right?
- 22:23And I don't want him attacking my body.
- 22:25And then I.
- 22:26I call it an energy field, but it's really that, some people call it an aura.
- 22:31It's everything that's all around my body.
- 22:33Like it's just this.
- 22:34It's this energy field around your body.
- 22:36And if you want to study a little bit more about that, you can study More about that.
- 22:40We all have energy that radiates about a foot out from all of us and it surrounds us.
- 22:46And it's.
- 22:46To me, it's the armor of God.
- 22:48It's this beautiful spiritual armor of God.
- 22:50So I tell him to leave my heart, mind, body and energy filled.
- 22:54And if something's bugging me, particularly like my neck, my stomach, my throat, whatever, tell him to leave and to get out, because he'll try to attack wherever he can and wherever our weak spot is, wherever your Achilles heel
- 23:07is.
- 23:07Sometimes it's your feet, sometimes it's your stomach, sometimes it's your neck.
- 23:11Sometimes.
- 23:12I have a lot of people that come in with neck problems when they come to see me.
- 23:16And as we've done this, they're like, oh, my gosh, it's gone.
- 23:20Like, I feel, whoa.
- 23:22It's.
- 23:22It's amazing that just telling Satan to take a hike and to leave, they'll feel.
- 23:27They'll feel so much more.
- 23:29They'll feel better, they'll feel lighter, and they'll feel more powerful, right?
- 23:34I love that.
- 23:35Wendi.
- 23:35I think, I think it's important, like, as you mentioned, because we.
- 23:38We cast Satan out of our home too, and we actually bind him too.
- 23:41And that isn't something that the spirit just taught me to do that to, to ask to cast Satan out and to bind him.
- 23:48And so we, every morning and every night we have that prayer.
- 23:51And anytime we feel that he's messing with us, but it's so important in the name of Jesus Christ, that is.
- 23:57That is the one.
- 23:58He is the one who has the power to cast him away.
- 24:03You know, we don't have that power within ourselves, but with his help, he can push out the darkness.
- 24:09And I.
- 24:10I absolutely love that.
- 24:11I also was thinking about how interesting it is.
- 24:16And, and I want to be clear, too.
- 24:18I don't think that everyone who has mental illness has, you know, the devil's messing with them.
- 24:23And.
- 24:23But I do believe that if you are struggling, why not try and see, right?
- 24:28Like, that's really what this is, is why not try and see?
- 24:32Because like you said, Satan is going to attack all of us, but he especially is going to attack those who are trying to do the Lord's work.
- 24:40That is just what he does.
- 24:42Because he wants us to stop what we're doing.
- 24:45And if he can attack us, then he's going to do that.
- 24:50And I think that that is such an important thing to remember, especially where women warriors of light, we're really trying to get women to stand in their purpose and so this is a powerful thing that those women especially
- 25:03need to do in order to accomplish what God is inspiring them to do.
- 25:08You have any thoughts, Tamara?
- 25:11There was just a verse in Isaiah that, that kind of came to mind that I wanted to share.
- 25:19And this is Isaiah speaking messianically.
- 25:24It says, the spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek.
- 25:31He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.
- 25:42And I think if you look at that as that was, that's exactly what Jesus Christ came to do.
- 25:49He came to, to release us, to make us free.
- 25:54And just because you go through the process once doesn't mean you're not going to make this another mistake or that Satan's not going to attack you again.
- 26:03I was thinking as you guys were sharing these stories about a story when I was a young mother, and I did, I got mad at my kids and I yelled at them and I just felt so bad afterwards
- 26:17and I could just, you know, it was that guilt and that shame.
- 26:22And I remember that night just falling on my knees and praying and you know, telling God I was so sorry that I had yelled at my kids and, and just praying that he would forgive me and, and I
- 26:37had the sweetest feeling come over me as I was praying.
- 26:43And it was, it was like this warm peace and love.
- 26:49And I, in my mind, I guess now I can look back and say it was Jesus releasing me from those bonds, removing the guilt, removing the shame, the power of repentance, right?
- 27:02That Jesus can help us remove and heal and fix any of those broken parts of ourselves that happen in, in day to day life, right?
- 27:16And as I was praying, I was like, God, how does, how does this miracle happen?
- 27:21How does this happen?
- 27:23And the thought that came into my mind was, it's because of your faith in Jesus Christ.
- 27:29And that is how all of this is possible.
- 27:33It's because of your faith in Jesus Christ.
- 27:36And I think it's so interesting that as we've been talking about the armor of light that.
- 27:42What is it that quenches all the fiery darts of the adversary?
- 27:46It is the shield of faith, faith in Jesus Christ.
- 27:51And it is faith that helps us remove all of these things that are binding us down.
- 27:58So, yeah, those are the thoughts that I'd had that I wanted to share.
- 28:02Thank you.
- 28:03That is beautiful.
- 28:04I.
- 28:05It's so interesting just from a writer's Perspective.
- 28:08How, how, you know, Satan gives us these hooks.
- 28:11He gets us to spin.
- 28:12He spins stories, right?
- 28:14So he's telling us he's.
- 28:15He's trying to write our story for us, right?
- 28:18But if we let go and we choose the Savior and allow him to write our story, it can be so much more beautiful than what we are trying, what Satan's trying to get us to believe.
- 28:31And I think that as we focus more on a Christlike life, I think that that will help us and cast Satan out, casting his influence out and inviting the Savior in.
- 28:44That's because we create a void, right?
- 28:46When we cast Satan out, it creates a void, so inviting him in.
- 28:49But we can also.
- 28:50I've also learned that we can also invite angels in to help us, to help lift our light and to help us to overcome the darkness.
- 28:57Because the greater light we have, the more we can push back the darkness.
- 29:00So, Wendy, can you share.
- 29:02I know our time is getting is.
- 29:03Is almost up, so can you share just some of the things that you have done with angels in your work in removing these weapons?
- 29:11Yes.
- 29:12And I love what both of you have just said, because that's so powerful.
- 29:15You know, I have a lot of people wonder, why do we even talk about Satan?
- 29:19And why do we, you know, be, be careful with that?
- 29:22And, and I.
- 29:24What I've learned is that you have to recognize your enemy to conquer him, right?
- 29:28And so we recognize our enemy.
- 29:30We don't focus on him, but we recognize what he's doing, the tools he's using so that we can conquer him.
- 29:36And we focus on Jesus Christ because he, like you beautifully just said, he's the one who overcome, who overcame everything.
- 29:44And he's the one that we then focus on and we focus on his light.
- 29:49Well, just like Satan has people working, like he's got an army of people that work on us, right?
- 29:56Christ has a huge, huge army of people, bigger than Satan, that help us, that bless us and that benefit.
- 30:06And as I've worked with people over the years, I've had many beautiful spiritual experiences where I will be working with someone and all of a sudden I don't see angels, but I can feel them.
- 30:18I can feel their presence and their energy.
- 30:20And there have been many times where as I'm working with someone and I consider it a very sacred moment, even as we've, you know, maybe worked on getting rid of what we need to and helping them focus on
- 30:30the good and the positive, right?
- 30:31Returning to Jesus Christ, that many times I'll feel the presence of a loved One from.
- 30:38From their life.
- 30:39And it's.
- 30:40I can sense like a grandmother or a father or a mother or a sibling or somebody who's maybe passed on.
- 30:47And.
- 30:48And I started recognizing and realizing that the Lord will send loved ones who know us, who understand us, or even that are good from our family line to bless us and to strengthen us and to what I would
- 31:03say, minister to us, to bless and help us in our cause.
- 31:07I truly believe that there are many times when we pray and ask for help, even if it's a, I can't find my wallet, please help me to find my wallet because I've lost it.
- 31:18That he can send a loved one to help us to help answer that prayer because they love and care about us and they're going to come support us.
- 31:27And it could be, you know, I've lost my wallet, too.
- 31:30I feel so overwhelmed and so heavy right now.
- 31:33Please, please help me.
- 31:35I believe that it's those loved ones that can often come and answer those prayers for us.
- 31:41There's also warriors on his side, and I felt strong spiritual warriors and come and fight for good and for what's right.
- 31:51And I believe that they're angels that can also come and minister in his cause.
- 31:56And we can ask for those.
- 31:58Like you were saying, Tiffany, we can say, heavenly Father, please bless me with my angels to, you know, be round about me.
- 32:06I tell my kids because I've learned that there are angels that have all kinds of gifts and talents.
- 32:13So if they're going, you know, my daughter, she's been taking the act and I'm like, pray for your ACT angels to come and help you as you're taking that big test, right?
- 32:23Because she's worried, she's nervous.
- 32:24She wants to do well to get into the college she wants to get into.
- 32:28So I'm like, pray for your math angels to come because she struggles with math and science.
- 32:32She's really good at English.
- 32:33But like, pray for your math angels to come and to bless you.
- 32:37Or if I've got a big cause that I'm going to be doing, I'll pray for, hey, I'm going to be speaking today.
- 32:42Can I please have my speaking angels come and assist me in this job today?
- 32:47Or maybe it's the mothering angel.
- 32:49Can I need help being a mom today?
- 32:51I'm really struggling.
- 32:53I need my angels to come help me as a mom to show up the way that I need to today.
- 32:58Like, there are all kinds of helpers out there, and they truly, truly feel such joy in helping and blessing us.
- 33:07And will come as they need to.
- 33:09So, Wendy, how do you actually get to the point where you are able to remove the weapons?
- 33:16What does that look like?
- 33:19So as I'm working with people and we find, like we've talked about, you've cast out Satan or cast out the spirit of depression, anxiety, whatever it is.
- 33:29And maybe it's hard to always identify the tools, but if you just try to just tune into your body and just listen to your spirit, a lot of times you'll tune into what's bothering you or what seems to
- 33:42be off.
- 33:43And if you're not quite sure, just do it anyways.
- 33:46Because more than likely it's not going to hurt anything, right?
- 33:49And so I will often have people call upon my angels or even warriors of light, because there are so many good people, again, who are fighting for God and His cause and his truth and Christ and standing by
- 34:03Him.
- 34:04So I invite them to come clear out any weapons of war or any tools that maybe we can't see, but they can spiritually see, but to help us and to bless us.
- 34:15And so the way that I have seen it is it's almost like they will never force their will upon us.
- 34:22God's army is always about us being able to choose, right?
- 34:27Us being able to exercise the things that we do.
- 34:32They're not going to infringe upon us.
- 34:34And so we invite them, whereas Satan will just come and make life miserable.
- 34:39But I find that Christ has all of his followers don't force things, they never force it.
- 34:46So we invite them.
- 34:47So what it looks like is, and I invite, or I ask that my angels be discharged and come help me to be able to get rid of what's bothering me.
- 34:58And I find that as we ask and we invite, the Lord will provide.
- 35:02And I think that's partly faith, too.
- 35:04I think he wants us, that's our part is to have faith in him and have faith in his Son, Jesus Christ.
- 35:11And as we exercise that faith, he can then discharge these angels, these loved ones that care about us, to come in to help us and to bless us.
- 35:19And I have seen it time after time after time where they will come and they will fight on our behalf, and they will strengthen us and they will bless us and they will minister to us.
- 35:29As it's been beautiful as I work with clients that are maybe doing this and going through this process, to be able to feel, to have them say, oh, my, I feel my grandma.
- 35:39Oh, I feel my brother who passed.
- 35:41I feel, you know, my cousin or my really good friend, they they are there.
- 35:46And, and you know that they're there because you'll start having feelings or thoughts about them or memories about them with those loved ones.
- 35:53That's kind of a key or a sign that they're around you.
- 35:56When you start feeling reminiscing about some different thoughts or you can just feel their personality, right?
- 36:02You feel their energy around you coming to bless you.
- 36:06That's the beautiful thing that as we turn to Jesus Christ, he will send light, he will send goodness, and he will bless us.
- 36:13And I've seen it many, many times.
- 36:15Before we close, I just wanted to share.
- 36:17There's a scripture in Hebrews 1, 13, 14 that says the angels, are they not all ministering spirit sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.
- 36:28Isn't that just beautiful?
- 36:30So he really does send us ministering angels.
- 36:33Well, we are so glad that that we had this episode.
- 36:36I hope that it that you listen, that you take it to heart and that you start calling on your angels, that you cast Satan's influence out first and that you call on the Savior and you call on his
- 36:48angels to help support you.
