- 0:00Speaker 1: Because fuck you, that's why, is a founding member of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Odd Pods.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Media Network.
- 0:31Speaker 4: This is Beefy Appartee!
- 0:48Speaker 5: And that's enough of that.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Legally what we're allowed to use.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Legally all we're allowed to play. Welcome to Beefy Appartee,
- 0:57Speaker 5: I have three fascinating contestants here. First, a retired administrative
- 1:02Speaker 5: assistant and Stevie's mom, it's Diane!
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yay!
- 1:10Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Welcome to the show. We also have a retired equipment
- 1:15Speaker 5: welder and Stevie's dad. It's John. And finally, a professional
- 1:26Speaker 5: stoner and fishmonger. It's Augie.
- 1:29Speaker 6: It's Augie.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Well, I don't know about professional, but.
- 1:36Speaker 5: We will get into full introductions at the midpoint of
- 1:40Speaker 5: our first round, but let's see our first Beefy Appartee board.
- 1:43Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Categories are classic movies that don't suck, 70s TV shows,
- 1:56Speaker 5: dung beetles. These are bad or unsettling facts or things
- 2:01Speaker 5: beetles have said. Then there's Stevie. These are people or
- 2:07Speaker 5: characters named Stevie. The letter Y in quotes. And finally,
- 2:13Speaker 5: would you do this? These are stunts for social media
- 2:16Speaker 5: or public consumption that have gone wrong. So the way
- 2:25Speaker 5: this works is unlike the show that this is tangentially
- 2:31Speaker 5: related to. Uh, you do not buzz in instead you
- 2:34Speaker 5: take turns. So each of you will get 10 choices
- 2:38Speaker 5: to pull from this board of 30 possible clues. So, uh,
- 2:42Speaker 5: the clue when it comes up will be yours and
- 2:44Speaker 5: yours alone. If you don't want to risk it, you
- 2:47Speaker 5: can just say pass or not answer. You won't lose anything. However,
- 2:50Speaker 5: if you answer and you are wrong, you will lose
- 2:52Speaker 5: the points associated with it. Um, there is a daily
- 2:56Speaker 5: befuddle hidden somewhere up on this board. And in that
- 2:59Speaker 5: you may wager any or all of your points. But
- 3:01Speaker 5: in that case, you cannot pass. So if you do
- 3:05Speaker 5: not know the answer or don't speak, you do still
- 3:07Speaker 5: lose the points. Finally, all three of you have a
- 3:10Speaker 5: lifeline to use. At any point during either round, you
- 3:13Speaker 5: may ask Stevie. If you would like, you can just say,
- 3:16Speaker 5: I would like to ask Stevie. We will stop the
- 3:18Speaker 5: clock and you can have some time to discuss with
- 3:21Speaker 5: Stevie what you two both think the answer might be.
- 3:24Speaker 5: He will do his best to help all three of you.
- 3:27Speaker 5: And you may do this once per round. So you
- 3:29Speaker 5: may do this once in the regular Beefy Eopardy round
- 3:31Speaker 5: and once in Double Beefy Eopardy. Any questions before we
- 3:36Speaker 5: get started? Yes, Diane.
- 3:39Speaker 2: I think that you should answer mine the best because
- 3:41Speaker 2: I'm going to make you spaghetti and meatballs.
- 3:42Speaker 6: Okay, I know who's getting the right answers.
- 3:48Speaker 9: All right.
- 3:48Speaker 5: Well, in that case, Diane, why don't you get us started?
- 3:51Speaker 5: Pick a category and a point level.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Classic movies that don't suck 100.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Classic movies that don't suck for 100. Diane, this rocker
- 3:59Speaker 5: played Eddie on Rocky Horror Picture Show, although he sounds
- 4:02Speaker 5: more like my mom's most depressing dinner.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Oh, shoot.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Time.
- 4:15Speaker 5: You don't lose anything. Stevie, Augie, or John, do you
- 4:18Speaker 5: guys know?
- 4:20Speaker 9: I do.
- 4:20Speaker 6: Do you know, Augie?
- 4:21Speaker 7: I know.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Who is Meatloaf?
- 4:23Speaker 9: Yes. Yeah, who is Meatloaf?
- 4:24Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, I forgot he was on that list.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Yeah, he wasn't on there for very long.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Actually, we were talking about that because Tim Curry.
- 4:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Unfortunately.
- 4:34Speaker 5: That's all right. Well, you didn't lose anything.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I'm thinking classic movies, 1930. I'm in trouble.
- 4:42Speaker 5: We might go further back. In the meanwhile, we move
- 4:45Speaker 5: over to John. John, which category and clue would you like?
- 4:48Speaker 9: I know Stephen's going to want me to say dung beetle,
- 4:50Speaker 9: so I'll say dung beetle for 100.
- 4:53Speaker 5: For 100. John, this beetle was physically abusive to his
- 4:58Speaker 5: first wife, Cynthia, as well as Yoko Ono and his son, Julian.
- 5:03Speaker 9: John Lennon. Who is John Lennon?
- 5:06Speaker 5: There we go. That's what I needed. Absolutely right for
- 5:10Speaker 5: 100 points. You do have to answer in the form
- 5:12Speaker 5: of a question. Yeah, that much has stuck through.
- 5:15Speaker 9: Legally distinct. Legally distinct. That was easy.
- 5:18Speaker 5: It is legally distinct. We're over to Augie. Augie, which
- 5:22Speaker 5: clue and level would you like to attempt?
- 5:25Speaker 3: Well, you know, I'm always asking myself this. So Y
- 5:28Speaker 3: for 300. For 300, Augie.
- 5:32Speaker 5: The Y is the official rebrand and common shorthand for
- 5:36Speaker 5: the YWCA, which stands for this. What is the.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 5:47Speaker 9: God damn it.
- 5:47Speaker 5: I had the.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Other one stuck in my head and I couldn't switch it.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Did anybody else know?
- 5:53Speaker 9: The Young?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Young.
- 5:55Speaker 9: What is Young?
- 5:56Speaker 2: The Young. What is the Young?
- 5:58Speaker 5: It was asking for the shorthand for YWCA, so the
- 6:01Speaker 5: whole thing. It was Young Women's Christian Association.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 6:06Speaker 3: For whatever reason, I had Young Men's Christian Association stuck
- 6:08Speaker 3: in my head. I could not change men to work.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 6:12Speaker 5: You sexist thing.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I think that's the.
- 6:16Speaker 10: First sexist thing I've said on this show ever, to
- 6:19Speaker 10: be honest.
- 6:20Speaker 5: You male sexist. All right, we're back over to Diane.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Where to?
- 6:26Speaker 2: Oh, brother. 70s TV shows, 200. For 200, Diane.
- 6:33Speaker 9: Mr.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Green Jeans brought animals on this kid's show to teach
- 6:37Speaker 5: children their habits.
- 6:38Speaker 2: What is Captain Kangaroo?
- 6:40Speaker 5: Is right for 200 points.
- 6:42Speaker 9: Nice.
- 6:43Speaker 5: Well done. John, we're over to you again.
- 6:45Speaker 9: Oh, let's stay with the old dung beetles for 200.
- 6:49Speaker 5: For 200, John. After cheating on his wife with Maureen Starkey,
- 6:53Speaker 5: Ringo's wife, Karma bit this coke-fueled beetle in the ass
- 6:57Speaker 5: with the disastrous Dark Horse Tour.
- 7:02Speaker 9: Who is George Harrison?
- 7:04Speaker 5: That is correct for 200 points.
- 7:09Speaker 9: I know my dumb.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Wow, that's bad.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Augie, we're back to you, you male chauvinist.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Thank you. I'm sure that won't carry on forever. Would
- 7:22Speaker 3: you do this for 100? For 100, Augie.
- 7:26Speaker 5: In Iceland, locals report tourists trying to take pictures on
- 7:29Speaker 5: the lips of these dangerous geographic fishers.
- 7:34Speaker 3: What is a geyser?
- 7:35Speaker 10: What is a thermal geyser?
- 7:39Speaker 5: That is incorrect. I'm afraid to lose 100 points. Did
- 7:44Speaker 5: anybody else know this is just for fun? No.
- 7:49Speaker 8: No?
- 7:50Speaker 5: Correct response. What are volcanoes? Volcanoes. Oh, it was a volcano? Volcanoes, yeah.
- 7:55Speaker 3: That's different.
- 7:58Speaker 9: Wow.
- 7:58Speaker 10: I thought it was going to be like a thermal
- 7:59Speaker 10: geyser or something.
- 8:01Speaker 5: No, no, no. Much worse. Much worse. We are over
- 8:04Speaker 5: to Diane.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Oh, yay. What is classic movies that don't suck for $ 200?
- 8:09Speaker 5: For $ 200, Diane. This 1946 Christmas classic bombed in theaters,
- 8:15Speaker 5: but TV viewers gave George Bailey a second chance. Technically
- 8:19Speaker 5: a third. Clarence gave him his second.
- 8:21Speaker 2: What if it's a wonderful life?
- 8:23Speaker 5: That's correct. For 200 points. Bring you to 400. That's
- 8:26Speaker 5: so good. We are over to John.
- 8:32Speaker 9: Let's try 70s TV shows for 300.
- 8:35Speaker 5: For 300.
- 8:36Speaker 9: John.
- 8:38Speaker 5: This incredibly influential sitcom ran the whole decade and Norman
- 8:41Speaker 5: Lear had based it on the British show Till Death
- 8:44Speaker 5: Do Us Part.
- 8:45Speaker 10: Oh, clue.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Time did anybody else have a guess i have a.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Guess but i'm not sure what is it what is
- 9:00Speaker 2: all in the family.
- 9:01Speaker 6: Would have been right it was all in the family
- 9:05Speaker 6: oh nice yeah what i.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Thought it was yeah it ran 1970 to 1979 so
- 9:09Speaker 5: the entire decade of the 70s uh anyway uh we're
- 9:13Speaker 5: over to augie.
- 9:15Speaker 10: Uh let's try let's switch it up again uh let's
- 9:18Speaker 10: try stevie 400.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Stevie for 100 this singer was blinded as an infant
- 9:23Speaker 5: but is still a grammy grammy winning exceptional talent and
- 9:27Speaker 5: that's no superstition uh who is.
- 9:29Speaker 10: Stevie wonder is right for 100 points good job.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Bringing you back to zero well done yeah uh we
- 9:38Speaker 5: move back to diane oh boy.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Well what oh shoot I'll take 70 TV shows for 400.
- 9:50Speaker 5: For 400, Diane. This half-hour sitcom was spun off of
- 9:53Speaker 5: 60s sitcom The Andy Griffith Show, and it ran from
- 9:57Speaker 5: 1968 to 1971. What is Mayberry RFD? Is right for
- 10:02Speaker 5: 400 points.
- 10:03Speaker 10: I don't even know.
- 10:06Speaker 3: What you just said.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Well done.
- 10:09Speaker 2: And 10 berries started in it.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Whoops, I lost my little ear.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Oh, that's great. Incredible.
- 10:17Speaker 5: We're over to John next.
- 10:19Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 10:20Speaker 9: Okay, I got to try to catch up here. Dunk
- 10:22Speaker 9: Beatles for 500. Yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 5: For 500, John. This Beatle admitted in a 1979 audio
- 10:29Speaker 5: confession that he had sexual desires for his mother and
- 10:33Speaker 5: later regretted not making a move.
- 10:35Speaker 11: Ew.
- 10:36Speaker 9: Got to be John Lennon. Who is John Lennon?
- 10:43Speaker 5: There we go. We got it for 500. It was
- 10:45Speaker 5: John Lennon. It's a tie game for Diane and John. Augie,
- 10:49Speaker 5: let's make up some ground.
- 10:50Speaker 3: I did not know John Lennon had an Oedipus complex.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Augie, you got some room to catch up, man.
- 10:58Speaker 6: I do.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Let's try 70s TV shows for 100. I think I
- 11:01Speaker 3: might know one or two.
- 11:02Speaker 5: For 100. Okay, Augie. Tony Randall and Jack Klugman played
- 11:05Speaker 5: Oscar and Felix on this 1970 show. They weren't exactly
- 11:09Speaker 5: an even pair.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Ha ha ha.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Oh, that was good.
- 11:13Speaker 6: That's awesome. I love the jokes.
- 11:16Speaker 9: Oh, man. You got this.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I know I watched this, too. It's just the worst part.
- 11:22Speaker 2: That was awesome.
- 11:23Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Anybody have a guess?
- 11:25Speaker 2: What is the odd couple?
- 11:26Speaker 5: Yeah, it was the odd couple, 100%.
- 11:29Speaker 3: I had them both in my head, too. One guy
- 11:32Speaker 3: from Chicago.
- 11:34Speaker 2: This is so sad because obviously I didn't have a life.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I just watched TV and movies.
- 11:40Speaker 3: I'm only catching up now on a lot of those things.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Diane, it is your last pick before we go to break.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Okay, I'll do classic movies that don't suck for $ 300.
- 11:51Speaker 5: For $ 300, Diane. Regarding this 1960 courtroom drama, Gene Kelly
- 11:56Speaker 5: remarked that he didn't learn anything from Spencer Tracy. All
- 11:59Speaker 5: he could do was watch and be amazed.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Oh, that was such a good movie. And Lauren Bacall's
- 12:06Speaker 2: in it, too.
- 12:07Speaker 8: Oh.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I know.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Oh, shoot. Time. I know.
- 12:12Speaker 2: And it's a true story, and I can't remember.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Did anybody else?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Something about the monkey.
- 12:18Speaker 5: Did anybody else have a guess?
- 12:24Speaker 3: Does anybody have a guess?
- 12:25Speaker 5: I have no idea. Oh, you are on the right track.
- 12:28Speaker 5: It was all about the Scopes Monkey Trial. This movie
- 12:31Speaker 5: is called Inherit the Wind.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Oh my God, the movie is so good.
- 12:35Speaker 5: It's a magnificent movie. It's one of my favorites of
- 12:38Speaker 5: all time. And James Kelly did not dance in it
- 12:41Speaker 5: at all. No, he just played a straight character part
- 12:44Speaker 5: and did a great job. John, your last pick before
- 12:47Speaker 5: we go to break.
- 12:49Speaker 9: Let's see. I'm going to go Stevie for 500.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Oh, Stevie for 500. Oh, sure. It's the Daily Befuddle. Remember,
- 12:59Speaker 5: this is about people or characters named Stevie. With that
- 13:03Speaker 5: in mind, how many of your 800 points would you
- 13:05Speaker 5: like to wager?
- 13:07Speaker 10: Zero don't blame zero it is all right here smart.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Here is your clue of stevie martin stevie jay and
- 13:18Speaker 5: stevie mccoy the only one who's been on the hit
- 13:22Speaker 5: british comedy show taskmaster.
- 13:29Speaker 9: I'm gonna say who is steve martin.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Stevie Martin would have been correct. You gained zero points.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I would not have guessed that at all.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Absolute brilliant shot. Auggie, your last pick before we go
- 13:49Speaker 5: to break.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Oh man, this can only go well. Y for 100.
- 13:53Speaker 5: Y for 100. Auggie, a person without a Y chromosome
- 13:57Speaker 5: is this sex?
- 14:00Speaker 3: What is a man?
- 14:03Speaker 5: That is incorrect.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Dude, I'm tired.
- 14:07Speaker 9: I know. You're a bad biologist.
- 14:08Speaker 5: You're a very bad biologist.
- 14:10Speaker 8: I know.
- 14:11Speaker 3: I am the worst biologist. I am the worst biologist.
- 14:13Speaker 5: For reasons, I'm going to give this to Diane.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:17Speaker 8: What is a female?
- 14:21Speaker 3: Look, it depends on who you ask nowadays, it seems.
- 14:25Speaker 5: Wow. Wow.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Just saying.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Wow, Augie.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Wow.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I'm just saying, you're assuming.
- 14:31Speaker 5: Well, we're halfway through the first round. It's chaos, but
- 14:35Speaker 5: Diane and John are tied at 800, and Augie is
- 14:39Speaker 5: sitting in the rear at minus 100. We'll see how
- 14:41Speaker 5: we go when we come back right after this.
- 14:52Speaker 8: Okay.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Oh, my God. I shouldn't have hit the pen, first
- 14:59Speaker 3: of all. Second of all.
- 15:00Speaker 5: That's so funny.
- 15:04Speaker 2: It's the X-Y.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 15:06Speaker 2: And it's all your guys' fault.
- 15:07Speaker 9: Yep.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Just saying.
- 15:08Speaker 9: It is.
- 15:09Speaker 2: You guys decide, man. No.
- 15:12Speaker 10: The problem is that I know why it is. It's
- 15:15Speaker 10: just for some reason, it's just my brain.
- 15:16Speaker 3: It's like, no, you're going to swap it today. Actually,
- 15:19Speaker 3: I've been doing that all day today. I did it earlier.
- 15:21Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 3: I said something backwards. You guys didn't catch it.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Your dyslexia is kicking in.
- 15:26Speaker 3: It's bad today.
- 15:26Speaker 6: It's bad today.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Aw.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Yeah, he's like mad dyslexic.
- 15:30Speaker 3: I've been overworked the last few days, so I'm really.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because you don't want your letters to hear them.
- 15:36Speaker 9: They're over there. They're everywhere.
- 15:37Speaker 10: Yeah, I can't do math unless I sit down and
- 15:40Speaker 10: do math.
- 15:41Speaker 3: And reading, it takes me forever. And speaking, obviously.
- 15:46Speaker 10: I don't do much of it as is, but when
- 15:48Speaker 10: I do, it's so easy for me to flip words
- 15:50Speaker 10: or just slur my words.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I think you're doing pretty good.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 3: I stuttered.
- 15:56Speaker 10: Yeah, I hear you.
- 15:58Speaker 9: Yeah, I know.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Oops.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Are we on?
- 16:01Speaker 6: No, we're on break.
- 16:02Speaker 5: We're on break. Hi, Patreon.
- 16:04Speaker 6: This is Patreon.
- 16:05Speaker 7: Hi, everybody.
- 16:06Speaker 6: These are the people who pay us.
- 16:07Speaker 11: Hi.
- 16:07Speaker 6: We're having break. Go pee or something. Don't be talking.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Two cups of coffee and a bottle of water. Aaron,
- 16:20Speaker 2: these questions are crazy.
- 16:22Speaker 6: You're good at this, man.
- 16:23Speaker 10: I swear I'm not dumbing myself down to give you
- 16:25Speaker 10: guys a good time.
- 16:28Speaker 3: My brain's not working today.
- 16:30Speaker 2: As soon as I saw it, I was like, ooh,
- 16:31Speaker 2: I know it's about the monkey trial, but I couldn't
- 16:33Speaker 2: remember the name of it. I should have gotten half
- 16:35Speaker 2: a point for that.
- 16:36Speaker 9: The monkey trial.
- 16:39Speaker 1: You are 100% allowed to negotiate the points.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Oh, you didn't tell me that.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Hey, with Aaron, I try to butter him up all
- 16:46Speaker 1: the time. That's how I win so much.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I'll be honest, I had no idea about that John
- 16:49Speaker 3: Lennon thing. I had no idea he had an Oedipus
- 16:51Speaker 3: complex at all.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why it was the 500.1. Yeah, I had
- 16:55Speaker 5: no clue. Something I thought that not a lot of
- 16:57Speaker 5: people would know.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I don't even know. I'm scared about the 400 and
- 17:01Speaker 2: the 500 one, but I don't know anything about anything else.
- 17:03Speaker 9: That's why he wrote songs about his mother.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
- 17:06Speaker 6: You don't think about it at all.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Lovely Rita.
- 17:14Speaker 5: That's wow alright does anybody else need anything before we
- 17:18Speaker 5: come back you have to break water I'm.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Good everybody's good I'm good.
- 17:24Speaker 8: All set get to do this all yay it's almost
- 17:29Speaker 8: a quarter of the way over.
- 17:30Speaker 10: Almost a quarter of the way over.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Yeah yeah we're good whenever you are.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Sir yeah alright go ahead All right.
- 17:40Speaker 3: We'll go back in from five, four, three.
- 17:55Speaker 5: Welcome back to Beefy Eprity. It is a tight race,
- 17:59Speaker 5: at least between Stevie's mom and dad. Augie's trailing behind,
- 18:03Speaker 5: but let's do some quick introductions. Diane, how are you
- 18:07Speaker 5: doing today? Welcome to the BFYTW studio.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Well, thank you very much. I'm doing pretty good.
- 18:12Speaker 1: And how are you?
- 18:13Speaker 5: I'm great. I'm great. I was so delighted when Stevie
- 18:15Speaker 5: was like, I think I can get my parents to
- 18:17Speaker 5: come sit and play games with us. And I was like,
- 18:20Speaker 5: hell yeah. Do you have any affinity for the show
- 18:24Speaker 5: that this game is based on at all?
- 18:26Speaker 7: Yep.
- 18:29Speaker 5: You watch it a lot when CB was a little
- 18:32Speaker 5: tyke running around?
- 18:34Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, we'd start watching the one before this one,
- 18:36Speaker 2: and then we'd watch this one. Are we allowed to
- 18:38Speaker 2: say it?
- 18:38Speaker 6: The spinning one and then the question one.
- 18:40Speaker 2: The question one with the answer.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes.
- 18:44Speaker 6: Yeah, every night, practically. It was after dinner.
- 18:47Speaker 2: After we watched Carol Burnett.
- 18:48Speaker 6: Yes, yes. Oh, my God, Carol Burnett.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Oh, man.
- 18:53Speaker 2: John worked straight afternoons for a few years, so... But
- 18:58Speaker 2: it was TV, watching with dinner. We'd have snack trades
- 19:02Speaker 2: out in Carol Burnett for an hour.
- 19:03Speaker 9: It was awesome.
- 19:04Speaker 2: We were kind of a boring family.
- 19:07Speaker 5: That sounds awesome to me.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Not at all.
- 19:08Speaker 5: It sounds a lot like my upbringing, too, to be honest.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and then after all that was over, we'd drive
- 19:14Speaker 2: over to John and take his dinner out to him.
- 19:17Speaker 2: So that way you guys got to see your dad.
- 19:19Speaker 6: He and Susan.
- 19:20Speaker 2: So it worked out pretty good.
- 19:21Speaker 6: Yeah, it was awesome.
- 19:22Speaker 5: Nice.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 6: I got lucky.
- 19:25Speaker 5: And John, welcome to the BFYTW studio as well.
- 19:29Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Don't want to forget about you. Happy to have you.
- 19:32Speaker 5: I wonder where all the stuff he's gotten.
- 19:35Speaker 9: I wonder where he got the ideas from.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 19:40Speaker 6: All my tech stuff right here. Movies and entertainment. Dad's
- 19:44Speaker 6: all the tech and like.
- 19:45Speaker 1: The the intricate cool little neat things yeah and stevie
- 19:49Speaker 1: got me into tech so technically i think i have
- 19:52Speaker 1: you to blame as.
- 19:53Speaker 7: Well yes yes you do it's true but i wouldn't.
- 19:58Speaker 5: Trade it for anything it's one of my favorite hobbies
- 20:00Speaker 5: i taught aaron.
- 20:01Speaker 6: How to make his for build his first computer.
- 20:03Speaker 9: Yeah, he did.
- 20:04Speaker 5: He literally did. And I have not stopped.
- 20:07Speaker 1: He builds handhelds now. It's insane.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a lot of fun. I have a great
- 20:12Speaker 5: deal of fun playing around with all sorts of tech.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Thank you for that.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Yes, he did.
- 20:16Speaker 5: And I cannot wait to play with it.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Oh, that's awesome.
- 20:21Speaker 9: It'll keep you busy.
- 20:22Speaker 5: Yes, it will. Thank you so much for that. That
- 20:25Speaker 5: is an incredible gift. Last but not least, Augie. How
- 20:35Speaker 5: do you feel playing against Stevie's parents?
- 20:38Speaker 11: I won.
- 20:38Speaker 3: I'm honored. It's the.
- 20:45Speaker 10: Only way I'm getting paid today, but no, quite, quite honestly,
- 20:51Speaker 10: I am honored. I've been meaning to hang out with
- 20:53Speaker 10: you guys for so long, like hanging out with Stevie
- 20:56Speaker 10: and all that, like, calling to your house and stuff
- 20:57Speaker 10: like that. I never really spent a whole lot of
- 20:59Speaker 10: time with you guys. I always wanted to. But yeah,
- 21:03Speaker 10: it's been fun so far. I can't wait to see
- 21:06Speaker 10: what else Aaron wants me to out myself for next.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Want me to be racist next, Aaron?
- 21:13Speaker 5: This sentimentality is killing me, so we're just going to
- 21:16Speaker 5: move back to the game. Diane, what is your next
- 21:20Speaker 5: pick on this board? Where do you want to go?
- 21:22Speaker 2: Well, I think I'm going to get Uncomfortable. and i'm
- 21:25Speaker 2: gonna go would you do this for 200 but i'm terrified.
- 21:29Speaker 5: For 200 diane john james mcmurray fell to his death
- 21:34Speaker 5: in 2018 while filming himself on the wing of this
- 21:37Speaker 5: flying object what.
- 21:39Speaker 6: The heck.
- 21:44Speaker 2: What was he doing why would you do this i
- 21:47Speaker 2: don't know time obviously.
- 21:49Speaker 5: Anybody have a guess what is an airplane Yeah, it
- 21:52Speaker 5: was an airplane.
- 21:53Speaker 3: That was the answer. I was doing the exact same thing.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I was doing the exact same thing.
- 22:01Speaker 5: I was just looking for alien.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Like a type of airplane.
- 22:07Speaker 8: Was he on a prop plane?
- 22:12Speaker 5: All else fails, start basic. If I need you to
- 22:14Speaker 5: be more specific, I will ask you for a more
- 22:16Speaker 5: specific answer. In this case, I was looking for basic. John,
- 22:21Speaker 5: your pick.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Go out of your comfort zone.
- 22:25Speaker 9: I'm going to. I'm going to go with classic movies
- 22:30Speaker 9: that don't suck for $ 400.
- 22:32Speaker 5: For $ 400, John. In 1950's All About Eve, this actress
- 22:36Speaker 5: uttered the immortal line, fasten your seatbelts, it's going to
- 22:40Speaker 5: be a bumpy night.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I know it.
- 22:42Speaker 9: I know you do. Boy, I just don't know.
- 22:50Speaker 5: Time. Uh, Diane, you know it.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Who is Betty Davis?
- 22:55Speaker 5: Yep. That would have been absolutely right. I have a
- 23:02Speaker 5: crazy idea, but maybe stay in your comfort zone.
- 23:07Speaker 9: I figured if she got it wrong, I'd get one wrong.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Their film debut on that movie.
- 23:14Speaker 9: Marilyn Monroe.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 23:17Speaker 2: She played like a little extra coming in. It was
- 23:19Speaker 2: pretty good.
- 23:20Speaker 8: Wow.
- 23:21Speaker 5: That's fantastic.
- 23:21Speaker 9: Let her.
- 23:24Speaker 1: In.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I seriously am really disappointed that I don't have anything
- 23:30Speaker 2: to say.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Seriously, it's like, nothing.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I got nothing.
- 23:35Speaker 6: That's the pressure of the game.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Augie, we're back to you.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 23:41Speaker 5: I wish it wasn't.
- 23:43Speaker 3: I guess we'll go Y for 200.
- 23:45Speaker 5: For 200, Augie, why is the chemical symbol for yttrium,
- 23:49Speaker 5: atomic number 39, on this ordered arrangement of elements in
- 23:53Speaker 5: rows and columns?
- 23:55Speaker 3: Yeah, not even a good day.
- 23:58Speaker 9: What?
- 23:59Speaker 6: You know this.
- 24:02Speaker 9: Starts with a P.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Augie didn't say anything. Anybody else have an answer?
- 24:08Speaker 9: Periodic table.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Yeah, it was the periodic table.
- 24:11Speaker 3: It was that simple. I'm like, what the fuck are
- 24:14Speaker 3: you asking for?
- 24:15Speaker 5: So I think what's happened is you guys have seen
- 24:18Speaker 5: some of the harder questions and you're psyching yourselves out.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I thought that was a hard question. I'm like, nope.
- 24:28Speaker 10: I thought it was like some specific formula or a strain.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Diane, we're back to you.
- 24:35Speaker 8: Yay.
- 24:35Speaker 2: I'll go classic movies that don't suck for 500.
- 24:39Speaker 5: For 500, Diane. The shortest acceptance speech in Oscar history
- 24:45Speaker 5: was William Holden for starring in this 1953 movie. He
- 24:50Speaker 5: said thank you and nothing else.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Was it Sabrina? Is it Sabrina?
- 24:56Speaker 5: Is that your answer?
- 24:57Speaker 2: No, I'm not positive. I think it's either that one or...
- 25:02Speaker 2: What is the Golden Boy?
- 25:03Speaker 5: That is incorrect, I'm afraid.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Oh, darn.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Correct response. What is Stalag 17?
- 25:11Speaker 2: Oh, I love that movie.
- 25:14Speaker 6: Stalag 17? Stalag 17.
- 25:15Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh. I forgot.
- 25:17Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Oh, that movie is freaking awesome.
- 25:19Speaker 9: It's so good.
- 25:20Speaker 7: Wow.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Remember that with the little chess pieces?
- 25:23Speaker 6: Did you ever see that?
- 25:25Speaker 3: I don't think I have.
- 25:26Speaker 6: It's freaking awesome.
- 25:28Speaker 9: Good movie.
- 25:29Speaker 5: I tried to include some good picks here. You picked some.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Good ones, but you've been nominated so many times.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Yeah, that's fair. We're back to John. John, where to?
- 25:40Speaker 9: Okay, let's go back to Dung Beetles for $ 300. For $ 300, John.
- 25:45Speaker 5: To be fair, he's a staunch animal activist now, but
- 25:48Speaker 5: he admitted as a kid he would kill a bunch
- 25:50Speaker 5: of frogs and stick them up on a barbed wire fence.
- 25:53Speaker 9: Ooh, it's Paul McCartney.
- 25:54Speaker 5: Is right for 300 points, bringing you to 1,100. Really
- 25:56Speaker 5: fucked up. We are back over to Augie.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Fried frog.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Yeah, just get a torch.
- 26:06Speaker 4: It's easier.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I seem to have better luck with Stevie for 200.
- 26:08Speaker 5: All right, Augie, here's your clue. A singer-songwriter who rose
- 26:14Speaker 5: to fame with Fleetwood Mac and her solo career with
- 26:16Speaker 5: so many hits, it's like a landslide.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Ah, nice.
- 26:19Speaker 9: Nice.
- 26:20Speaker 8: Very good.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good.
- 26:22Speaker 11: No. No.
- 26:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't play this enough for.
- 26:25Speaker 5: God.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Music is not my forte.
- 26:27Speaker 9: Time.
- 26:28Speaker 5: One, two, three.
- 26:29Speaker 2: One, two, three. Who is Stevie Nicks?
- 26:32Speaker 5: Yes, exactly right.
- 26:35Speaker 6: It's always the ones you don't get.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it's always the ones you don't get.
- 26:41Speaker 5: All right, Diane, we're back to you.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Okay, 70s TV shows.
- 26:46Speaker 5: For 500. Let's get you back up to 800. Here
- 26:48Speaker 5: we go. Mission Magic was a Saturday morning cartoon show
- 26:53Speaker 5: in 1973 that starred this rock star as himself. Okay.
- 27:00Speaker 2: I was in high school, so I don't know. Because
- 27:03Speaker 2: I was sleeping in on a Saturday morning.
- 27:06Speaker 9: Friday night.
- 27:08Speaker 5: Yeah, no. There's a reason it was the hardest question.
- 27:11Speaker 5: Does anybody have any idea?
- 27:13Speaker 7: No.
- 27:16Speaker 5: Yeah, this one was tough. The correct response, who is
- 27:20Speaker 5: Rick Springfield?
- 27:21Speaker 2: Really? Yeah, I had never heard of him. I'm so
- 27:25Speaker 2: disappointed in myself.
- 27:26Speaker 9: What?
- 27:27Speaker 2: I know Jesse's girl.
- 27:31Speaker 5: John, we're back to you.
- 27:34Speaker 9: Let's try, would you do this for 500? For 500.
- 27:36Speaker 5: All right, John. In 1978, at age 73, this man,
- 27:43Speaker 5: founder of the Flying Melendas, attempted to walk between two
- 27:46Speaker 5: 10-story towers on a high wire. He fell and died.
- 27:50Speaker 8: Time.
- 27:51Speaker 7: Time.
- 28:01Speaker 5: It sounded like you were on the right track. It
- 28:03Speaker 5: was not Nick Wallenda. It was Carl Wallenda. In any event,
- 28:11Speaker 5: we're back to Augie.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I was going to say Mr.
- 28:13Speaker 9: Wallenda.
- 28:16Speaker 5: I would have required you to be more specific about that.
- 28:20Speaker 3: The other guy. Let's keep going. Stevie for 300.
- 28:24Speaker 10: Stevie for 300.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Augie.
- 28:27Speaker 5: Stevie Mason was brutally gunned down at her own wedding
- 28:31Speaker 5: to the protagonist of this 1980s action crime drama TV series.
- 28:41Speaker 3: The fuck?
- 28:44Speaker 5: Yeah, this is tough if you don't know your 80s
- 28:48Speaker 5: action crime dramas.
- 28:49Speaker 6: It was initials.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Oh, sorry. I skipped that era.
- 28:52Speaker 6: It was initials. Something Mason. It wasn't like The.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Sopranos or anything because that was later.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Nope.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Was it The Godfather?
- 28:59Speaker 4: Nope.
- 28:59Speaker 11: Nope.
- 29:00Speaker 5: This was 1980s. Correct response.
- 29:02Speaker 9: I mean, The Godfather is a movie, but.
- 29:03Speaker 5: What is Knight Rider?
- 29:05Speaker 2: What?
- 29:06Speaker 5: Yeah. She was the character who was supposed to get
- 29:08Speaker 5: married to, what's his name?
- 29:10Speaker 7: Michael.
- 29:11Speaker 9: Michael.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Knight Rider?
- 29:12Speaker 3: The Knight Rider.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Michael Knight.
- 29:16Speaker 2: The car was cool, though. The kid?
- 29:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that car was badass.
- 29:20Speaker 5: He could have married the car. You don't know. All right,
- 29:23Speaker 5: we're back to Diane.
- 29:25Speaker 2: How does Steve eat for $ 400? For $ 400, Diane.
- 29:26Speaker 5: This blues guitarist covered a 1958 song, Texas Flood, and
- 29:28Speaker 5: named his 1983 album after it. Time. Did anybody know? John,
- 29:47Speaker 5: did you know?
- 29:49Speaker 9: No, no, no.
- 29:49Speaker 5: Remember the category is Stevie. Correct response.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Stevie Ray Vaughan?
- 29:54Speaker 7: Yes.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:57Speaker 6: That makes so much sense.
- 29:58Speaker 2: I forgot that part. Oh, well, that was dumb.
- 30:02Speaker 5: The good news is you didn't lose anything, so we're
- 30:04Speaker 5: back over to John.
- 30:05Speaker 2: I can't believe you're beating me.
- 30:08Speaker 9: Well, you know what I'm going to go with? Dung beetles.
- 30:11Speaker 9: I want to see if I can get all of
- 30:12Speaker 9: them right. All right, let's see.
- 30:16Speaker 5: I think you've gotten all the others in this category.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Let's see if you can get a clean sweep for 400, John.
- 30:21Speaker 5: George Harrison lost his virginity in Hamburg, Germany in front
- 30:25Speaker 5: of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and this third man.
- 30:29Speaker 9: George Martin. Who is George Martin?
- 30:32Speaker 5: That is incorrect, I'm afraid. Is it Stu?
- 30:37Speaker 7: No. Stevie?
- 30:38Speaker 9: Stevie?
- 30:39Speaker 6: What was the dude, Best? The first Beatle?
- 30:44Speaker 5: Pete Best is the correct response.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Well done, Stevie.
- 30:49Speaker 5: Speaking of, no one's used their Ask Stevie lifeline, so just,
- 30:54Speaker 5: those are still available.
- 30:56Speaker 6: I'm just sitting here like, okay.
- 30:58Speaker 5: Augie, would you like to choose a category and maybe
- 31:01Speaker 5: consider asking Stevie if you don't know it?
- 31:03Speaker 3: But why would I do that, Aaron?
- 31:06Speaker 6: He's good at digging holes, man.
- 31:08Speaker 3: I'm really good at digging holes. In fact, Y for 500.
- 31:13Speaker 5: Y for 500.
- 31:14Speaker 9: Augie.
- 31:15Speaker 5: A critically acclaimed comic book series that became an FX
- 31:18Speaker 5: Hulu series in 2013. The Y refers to both the
- 31:22Speaker 5: protagonist's name and the Y chromosome.
- 31:30Speaker 3: What is Death Note?
- 31:32Speaker 5: That is incorrect.
- 31:34Speaker 6: Oh, that's a good one, though. I didn't think about that.
- 31:35Speaker 10: That's the only one I know that has a person
- 31:37Speaker 10: with a single letter in their name.
- 31:40Speaker 6: You wanted the series name, right?
- 31:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I was looking for the series name.
- 31:43Speaker 6: Is that The Flash?
- 31:44Speaker 5: It begins with Y. No, it's not The Flash. Correct response.
- 31:49Speaker 5: This is tough if you don't know the comic book
- 31:51Speaker 5: or the series. The correct response is, what is Y
- 31:53Speaker 5: the Last Man?
- 31:54Speaker 8: No.
- 31:55Speaker 5: You know how old we.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Are, right? Yeah.
- 32:01Speaker 9: You know, we were watching before comic books came out.
- 32:03Speaker 5: Listen, I included classic movies, I included 70s TV shows,
- 32:09Speaker 5: and I included Beatles trivia. I think I've been extremely fair.
- 32:12Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 32:16Speaker 3: My negative 600 says otherwise.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Speaking of, Diane, it's your pick.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Yay.
- 32:21Speaker 5: Last one off this board.
- 32:23Speaker 2: I'll go Y for 400.
- 32:24Speaker 3: For 400, Diane.
- 32:29Speaker 9: He's laughing the.
- 32:30Speaker 5: Y version of this game contained exclusive characters like spritzy
- 32:34Speaker 5: and purloin god damn.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Do you know this i mean okay lifeline.
- 32:39Speaker 5: Okay you want to ask stevie stevie stevie can help
- 32:44Speaker 5: her out.
- 32:44Speaker 6: Do you know what i think it's yahtzee.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Okay you say what i think it's yeah what's it what.
- 32:52Speaker 6: Is yahtzee.
- 32:54Speaker 5: That is incorrect. It brings you down to minus 100.
- 32:59Speaker 5: Augie for sure knows.
- 33:00Speaker 10: I'm literally the only question on this board I fucking know.
- 33:04Speaker 3: And I'm ashamed of it. What is Pokemon?
- 33:07Speaker 9: Are you serious?
- 33:08Speaker 5: Yeah, it was Pokemon.
- 33:10Speaker 2: You should have known that.
- 33:11Speaker 6: I don't know much. I only know a little.
- 33:13Speaker 5: That wasn't his.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Pokemon came out when I was young. I went to
- 33:15Speaker 2: the show.
- 33:15Speaker 3: John, your last pick on this board.
- 33:24Speaker 9: Let's do 300.
- 33:25Speaker 1: 300.
- 33:26Speaker 5: Would you do this? John, in 2017, Jay Swingler put
- 33:32Speaker 5: his head in this kitchen implement, filled it with plaster,
- 33:35Speaker 5: and let it set. Thankfully, he didn't press popcorn.
- 33:41Speaker 9: What is a microwave? That's awesome.
- 33:42Speaker 5: It is right for 300 points, bringing you to 1,000. Augie,
- 33:46Speaker 5: the last clue is yours. 400 under would you do this? Augie.
- 33:50Speaker 5: California radio station KDND held a hold your Wii for
- 33:55Speaker 5: this game console. Despite a nurse's warnings, a 28-year-old woman
- 33:59Speaker 5: died of water intoxication.
- 34:02Speaker 10: I actually heard about this happening. Hey, Steve, I'm going
- 34:04Speaker 10: to use you as a lifeline because I do not
- 34:05Speaker 10: remember her name.
- 34:06Speaker 2: What happened?
- 34:07Speaker 5: You don't need her name. We need the name of
- 34:09Speaker 5: the game console.
- 34:10Speaker 6: The game console. It's the Nintendo Wii. Probably.
- 34:13Speaker 5: Was it the Wii?
- 34:14Speaker 6: Probably. It makes sense.
- 34:15Speaker 5: Play on words.
- 34:15Speaker 2: The W-I-I? Yeah.
- 34:17Speaker 6: So say what is Wii.
- 34:18Speaker 3: It was probably like the Xbox.
- 34:20Speaker 6: Don't do it.
- 34:21Speaker 3: What is the Nintendo Wii?
- 34:23Speaker 5: Is correct for 400 points, bringing you to minus 200 points.
- 34:26Speaker 3: I got you. I remember that day. They were like,
- 34:29Speaker 3: we don't know what happened. I'm like, you made her
- 34:31Speaker 3: drink so much water and didn't let her go to
- 34:32Speaker 3: the bathroom. She literally intoxicated herself.
- 34:35Speaker 6: You'll die.
- 34:36Speaker 3: You can die for that.
- 34:37Speaker 6: Oh, I know.
- 34:38Speaker 5: All right. That is the end of our first Beefy
- 34:41Speaker 5: Eopardy round, and we have Augie at minus 200, Diane
- 34:45Speaker 5: at minus 100. John's the only one in the positive
- 34:48Speaker 5: with 1,000 points, but that can all change. Our second
- 34:51Speaker 5: round is going to be where double the points, and
- 34:53Speaker 5: there's going to be two hidden.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Daily befuddles.
- 34:58Speaker 9: Easy for you.
- 35:05Speaker 5: I just had to etch a sketch myself back into existence.
- 35:08Speaker 9: I'm good.
- 35:09Speaker 5: We are going to play double beefy equity right after this. Alrighty.
- 35:23Speaker 12: Is your popcorn ready? Then pull up a chair and
- 35:25Speaker 12: join me, Robert Yanis Jr., at Crooked Table Productions, where
- 35:28Speaker 12: we discuss the world of film from a fresh angle
- 35:31Speaker 12: on two exciting shows. On Close Watch, we get to
- 35:34Speaker 12: know our guests through the movies they love, from current
- 35:36Speaker 12: hits to timeless classics. And on Franchise Detours, we believe
- 35:40Speaker 12: no movie series travels in a straight line as we
- 35:42Speaker 12: explore the journeys of series like Rocky, X-Men, and Child's Play.
- 35:47Speaker 12: Both Close Watch and Franchise Detours are proud members of
- 35:50Speaker 12: the Odd Pods Media Network. Find them wherever you get

- 35:56Speaker 1: Hey, if you're in the western New York area and
- 35:59Speaker 1: you are a fan of the green, head on over
- 36:01Speaker 1: to Peace, Love, and Bud at 320 Self Transit Road
- 36:05Speaker 1: in Lockport, New York. Tell them BFYTW sent you. Maybe
- 36:09Speaker 1: they'll hook you up.
- 36:09Speaker 7: BFYTW Hey, welcome back.
- 36:20Speaker 5: It's time for Double Beefy Eprity, and here is our
- 36:23Speaker 5: Double Beefy Eprity board. Categories include classic movies that suck,
- 36:35Speaker 5: 80s TV shows, Aaron's Bag of Beatles. These are my
- 36:40Speaker 5: five favorite Beatles songs. followed by Stephen, in quotes, why,
- 36:47Speaker 5: the word why, in quotes, and then would you do this?
- 36:52Speaker 5: Would spelled W-O-O-D, you spelled Y-E-W, and do spelled D-E-W.
- 36:57Speaker 5: These are all questions about fictional trees.
- 37:02Speaker 4: What?
- 37:03Speaker 2: I thought it was about wet trees.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. I hope half of them are J-R-R tokens.
- 37:08Speaker 6: Wet what?
- 37:08Speaker 3: Trees.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Oh lordy.
- 37:14Speaker 5: Diane, you once again start us off.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I'm going to do Steven for 200.
- 37:19Speaker 5: For 200. Remember, these are people or characters who are
- 37:22Speaker 5: named Steven.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I'm hoping it's not my Steven then.
- 37:25Speaker 5: Diane, the first, the most popular film director in the world.
- 37:29Speaker 5: He directed the only AI film I would consider watching.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Who is Steven Spielberg?
- 37:34Speaker 5: Is right for 200 points. Bringing you back into the positive.
- 37:37Speaker 3: He's made a lot.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Whoa, 100 bucks.
- 37:39Speaker 6: Hell yeah.
- 37:41Speaker 5: We are over to John.
- 37:44Speaker 9: How about 80 TV shows for 200?
- 37:47Speaker 5: For 200, John. Popular action show The Dukes of Hazzard
- 37:50Speaker 5: featured a car that was primarily painted this color.
- 37:54Speaker 9: What is orange?
- 37:55Speaker 5: Is right for 200 points. Bring it to 1,200.
- 37:57Speaker 6: But if you.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Hit a new TV character, you would never be able
- 38:00Speaker 2: to figure.
- 38:01Speaker 3: That one out.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I already created one Stevie character.
- 38:05Speaker 5: I don't even know.
- 38:08Speaker 9: Fair.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Fair. That was good.
- 38:10Speaker 5: Augie, we're over to you.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Might as well go in. Y for 600.
- 38:16Speaker 5: Y for 600.
- 38:17Speaker 9: Augie.
- 38:18Speaker 5: This 1975 song by War has a simple message. Let's
- 38:22Speaker 5: all get along because we're all people.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Uh, boy.
- 38:31Speaker 8: No clue.
- 38:32Speaker 5: Time. Remember, it has Y in quotes. Does anybody have
- 38:37Speaker 5: a guess? Nope.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Nope.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Why can't we be friends?
- 38:44Speaker 5: That's it, exactly. Diane, comment.
- 38:46Speaker 6: I heard you say it.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Why can't we be friends?
- 38:50Speaker 6: Teamwork.
- 38:51Speaker 10: Notably, I haven't heard that song played anywhere in a
- 38:54Speaker 10: long time.
- 38:57Speaker 5: It's a great song. We're back over to Diane. Where to?
- 39:00Speaker 2: Uh, classic movies that suck. Oh, I hope I know these.
- 39:03Speaker 5: I do, too.
- 39:04Speaker 1: These are all Aaron's opinions, not the opinions of BFYTW.
- 39:10Speaker 5: These are movies that are genuinely regarded, generally regarded as
- 39:14Speaker 5: being bad. Which point level do you want, Diane?
- 39:18Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, 200.
- 39:19Speaker 8: 200.
- 39:19Speaker 5: All right, Diane, Ed Wood famously directed this plan in 1957.
- 39:24Speaker 9: Oh, shoot.
- 39:31Speaker 2: That's not an old movie to me uh i have.
- 39:34Speaker 5: No idea that's all right uh john augie or stevie
- 39:38Speaker 5: anybody have any.
- 39:39Speaker 6: Clue no no really i.
- 39:43Speaker 5: Thought this was much more famous Correct response, what is
- 39:46Speaker 5: Plan 9 from Outer Space?
- 39:48Speaker 2: Oh, that's why, because I don't like those kind of movies.
- 39:50Speaker 6: Never seen it.
- 39:51Speaker 2: It's like anything.
- 39:52Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 39:54Speaker 2: It's a sci-fi or like.
- 39:55Speaker 10: There might be a couple of them.
- 39:58Speaker 5: Well, the others might be more favorable to you, but
- 40:00Speaker 5: for now we're going to go back to John.
- 40:02Speaker 9: Okay, let's try the last category there. Would you do
- 40:09Speaker 9: this for $ 200? For $ 200, John.
- 40:12Speaker 5: In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Vin Diesel voices this animated
- 40:15Speaker 5: tree who seems to absolutely love introducing himself.
- 40:18Speaker 9: Oh, God, I have no idea.
- 40:23Speaker 2: I might be.
- 40:25Speaker 9: Ask Stevie.
- 40:27Speaker 6: He said ask Stevie before it buzzed.
- 40:30Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 40:30Speaker 9: Did he? Yeah.
- 40:32Speaker 5: Okay, all right. Stevie, can you help him?
- 40:35Speaker 6: Who is Groot?
- 40:38Speaker 5: John, do you want to go with that?
- 40:39Speaker 9: Sure.
- 40:40Speaker 5: All right, it is correct for 200 points for you
- 40:46Speaker 5: to 1,400. You have used your Stevie guess for the
- 40:48Speaker 5: rest of the game.
- 40:51Speaker 2: That's your only lifeline, right?
- 40:52Speaker 5: Yeah, that's his only one for this round. It's gone. So, Augie,
- 40:55Speaker 5: we are over to you.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Well, interestingly, I would like to try would you do
- 41:00Speaker 3: this for 400.
- 41:01Speaker 5: For 400, Augie.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Now I'm interested to see.
- 41:03Speaker 5: First published in 1964, this Shel Silverstein book features the
- 41:07Speaker 5: titular tree offering an apple to the boy on the cover.
- 41:12Speaker 3: What is the giving tree?
- 41:13Speaker 5: Is right for 400 points. You get a positive.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Everybody's got points. For some reason, when you said trees,
- 41:20Speaker 3: I'm like, I know trees.
- 41:21Speaker 4: That was awesome.
- 41:23Speaker 9: That was great.
- 41:24Speaker 5: We are back to Diane.
- 41:26Speaker 2: I know.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Apparently I don't know much.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I'm afraid about the classic movies that suck, but I'm
- 41:32Speaker 2: going to go for 400.
- 41:33Speaker 5: All right, Diane, here's another shot at it. Widely regarded
- 41:37Speaker 5: as the worst movie ever made is 1966's Manos, which
- 41:41Speaker 5: features this subtitle.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, I'm not picking this category. The worst movie
- 41:52Speaker 2: ever made? Manos. God.
- 41:56Speaker 5: Time up. Does anybody else have a guess?
- 41:59Speaker 6: No, I've got nothing.
- 42:00Speaker 3: It sounds familiar.
- 42:02Speaker 5: I was going to say, Augie and Stevie, I guarantee
- 42:05Speaker 5: you've heard this. It's Thanos, The Hands of Fate.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Oh, my God, yeah.
- 42:11Speaker 2: No, I think the worst movie ever made was the
- 42:13Speaker 2: Sean Connery one.
- 42:15Speaker 6: It might be on here.
- 42:16Speaker 9: Don't say it.
- 42:16Speaker 3: It might be on there.
- 42:17Speaker 12: Don't say it.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Oh, that was horrible.
- 42:19Speaker 2: No, you probably don't have an effect.
- 42:22Speaker 5: We're gonna go back to john where to okay let's.
- 42:26Speaker 9: Go with the uh aaron's bag of beetles yes.
- 42:30Speaker 5: Which level uh 200 200 all right john my first
- 42:34Speaker 5: favorite song sounds like george just joined the irs but
- 42:37Speaker 5: in reality is railing against having to pay 95 to
- 42:41Speaker 5: the uk government what is the tax man is right
- 42:44Speaker 5: for 200 points, bringing you to 1,600. We're back over
- 42:47Speaker 5: to Augie.
- 42:48Speaker 2: The Beatles think this isn't fair, because we went on
- 42:51Speaker 2: a cruise, and they did a trivia of 25 questions,
- 42:55Speaker 2: and he knew every freaking one of them. Everybody's looking
- 42:59Speaker 2: at him like, who is this guy? And it's like,
- 43:01Speaker 2: I know.
- 43:02Speaker 9: I want you a corkscrew. What more do you want?
- 43:07Speaker 5: A perfectly valid strategy is to take questions from that
- 43:10Speaker 5: category away from him.
- 43:12Speaker 9: Yeah, well, it's.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Not going to be good for me to do that.
- 43:16Speaker 2: But I think I might have to try because the
- 43:18Speaker 2: other one isn't working for me.
- 43:20Speaker 3: All right.
- 43:21Speaker 5: Augie, we're over to you.
- 43:22Speaker 3: I'm going to push my luck.
- 43:23Speaker 10: I'd like to try would you do this for 600
- 43:24Speaker 10: because now I'm really fascinated.
- 43:26Speaker 5: For 600, Augie. Oh, shoot.
- 43:29Speaker 3: That's not good.
- 43:30Speaker 5: It's the first of two daily befuddles. You only have
- 43:33Speaker 5: 200 points, but you may wager up to 1,000.
- 43:36Speaker 3: I'm going to wager 200.
- 43:39Speaker 5: 200 it is. Augie, here's your clue. The giant walking
- 43:44Speaker 5: trees in the Lord of the Rings books or movies
- 43:46Speaker 5: are known by this three-letter name.
- 43:49Speaker 3: What is an ent?
- 43:50Speaker 5: Is correct for 200 points, bringing you to 400.
- 43:53Speaker 3: I told you, if Tolkien was in there, I'd know.
- 43:55Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 43:57Speaker 5: All right, we're back to Diane.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Slowly, but religiously.
- 43:59Speaker 2: I'm going to go for Aaron's Bag of Beetles for 400.
- 44:01Speaker 2: For 400, Diane.
- 44:03Speaker 5: That's okay.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I'm not going to get it anyway, but at least
- 44:07Speaker 2: I'll take a point away from you. You never know.
- 44:09Speaker 5: You never know. Diane, here is the clue. This 1967
- 44:13Speaker 5: song was inspired by a nursery school drawing, but Lennon
- 44:17Speaker 5: repeatedly denied that it was referencing taking LSD.
- 44:21Speaker 2: What is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds?
- 44:23Speaker 5: Is right for 400 points. Bring it to 500.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Bitch.
- 44:31Speaker 5: Oh, John, it's your turn.
- 44:38Speaker 9: Let's do an Ernst Bag of Beatles for $ 600.
- 44:40Speaker 2: I'm smiling now, but you never know when we'll get
- 44:42Speaker 2: in the car.
- 44:43Speaker 1: It's going to be a long night.
- 44:46Speaker 5: John, here's your clue. Lennon wrote this 1967 song to
- 44:54Speaker 5: confound listeners who took their lyrics too seriously. It was
- 44:58Speaker 5: inspired by two LSD trips and a Lewis Carroll poem. Time.
- 45:12Speaker 5: Anybody have a guess?
- 45:14Speaker 2: Was it... Oh, shoot. What's that little critter's name?
- 45:18Speaker 9: Rocky Raccoon?
- 45:19Speaker 2: Rocky Raccoon? No.
- 45:20Speaker 11: No.
- 45:21Speaker 9: Oh, that'd be awesome.
- 45:22Speaker 5: Correct response. Correct response. What is I am the walrus?
- 45:27Speaker 9: Oh, shit. I knew it was an animal. I told you.
- 45:30Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 45:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Crap.
- 45:33Speaker 2: All right.
- 45:33Speaker 9: Wow.
- 45:34Speaker 2: We're over to Augie.
- 45:34Speaker 5: That's a good one.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Hey, Augie. Come on.
- 45:36Speaker 10: I'm more interested in those just because that's really fascinating.
- 45:39Speaker 10: That's what he's basing his stuff off of.
- 45:42Speaker 3: I mean, why not? Would you do this for 800?
- 45:43Speaker 5: For 800, Augie. I'm not. The Great Deku Tree first
- 45:48Speaker 5: appeared in this entry in the Legend of Zelda game series.
- 45:53Speaker 9: Don't you fuck this up.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 45:58Speaker 3: I'm going to because I don't know which one it is.
- 46:00Speaker 3: I already lost time.
- 46:02Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, time is up. Would you have taken a guess?
- 46:05Speaker 3: I was going to say, like, Majora's. No, that would
- 46:08Speaker 3: have been wrong.
- 46:09Speaker 5: It would have seemed, do you know it?
- 46:11Speaker 2: Wait, wait, you got to ask us if we know
- 46:13Speaker 2: the answer.
- 46:14Speaker 5: Yeah, do you know it?
- 46:15Speaker 2: No.
- 46:19Speaker 6: Isn't it Link to the Past?
- 46:22Speaker 9: No.
- 46:22Speaker 6: Correct response.
- 46:24Speaker 5: What is the Ocarina of Time?
- 46:26Speaker 3: Oh, man. We were just watching Butter play that the
- 46:29Speaker 3: other day.
- 46:30Speaker 5: You were one off.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Oh, well.
- 46:32Speaker 5: We're back to Diane.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Beatles for $ 800.
- 46:35Speaker 9: For $ 800.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Diane.
- 46:40Speaker 5: This 1966 song seems to be about a lonely woman,
- 46:44Speaker 5: but later in life, McCartney would claim it was inspired
- 46:46Speaker 5: by an old woman he did shopping for, and her stories, quote,
- 46:50Speaker 5: enriched my soul.
- 46:51Speaker 9: Oh, shoot.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Okay, the only one I know of the woman, is
- 46:56Speaker 2: it Lovely, Lovely, what is Rita?
- 47:00Speaker 5: That is incorrect.
- 47:02Speaker 2: I know.
- 47:02Speaker 5: Bringing you down to minus 300. Did anybody else have
- 47:05Speaker 5: a guess? John, did you know?
- 47:06Speaker 9: I think you just I think it's Eleanor Rigby.
- 47:11Speaker 5: That would have been the correct response. Eleanor Rigby is right.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Yes!
- 47:14Speaker 8: I'm not used to it, that's all.
- 47:21Speaker 6: I guess.
- 47:22Speaker 2: I was so excited.
- 47:23Speaker 5: John, it's back to you.
- 47:26Speaker 9: Let's bury him. Let's go with Aaron's Bag of Beetles
- 47:29Speaker 9: for 1,000.
- 47:30Speaker 5: For 1,000. All right, John.
- 47:33Speaker 9: I'm going to be right in the game with you guys.
- 47:35Speaker 9: One of the others. Here is your.
- 47:37Speaker 5: Here's your thousand-point clue, John. My absolute favorite Beatles song
- 47:42Speaker 5: is this 1969 tune. It features only 14 unique words
- 47:48Speaker 5: in its lyrics, and its coda is a three-minute repetition
- 47:52Speaker 5: of the theme until it abruptly ends.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Oh.
- 47:57Speaker 9: A Day in the Life. What is A Day in
- 48:00Speaker 9: the Life?
- 48:01Speaker 5: That is incorrect, bringing you down to 600 points. Did
- 48:07Speaker 5: anybody else have a guess?
- 48:08Speaker 9: I think so. Oh, you think you got it?
- 48:11Speaker 3: Is it Come Together?
- 48:13Speaker 5: No, it's not Come Together.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Is it Norwegian Wood?
- 48:16Speaker 5: It's not Norwegian Wood, no.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Is it Hey Jude?
- 48:20Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 48:21Speaker 6: Let's just keep saying them.
- 48:22Speaker 9: I know.
- 48:22Speaker 5: Is it help?
- 48:25Speaker 2: No.
- 48:25Speaker 9: 1969 was one of the ones. You got about 47
- 48:27Speaker 9: more to go through.
- 48:28Speaker 2: 1969 is right at the end. It's right at the end.
- 48:33Speaker 9: Oh, that's awesome.
- 48:33Speaker 6: I have no idea.
- 48:35Speaker 5: This is a lesser known song, but it is absolutely
- 48:38Speaker 5: my favorite. What is I Want You, She's So Happy?
- 48:41Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, okay.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Oh, I want you.
- 48:44Speaker 10: Yep.
- 48:46Speaker 5: Literally only 14 words in the damn thing. And the
- 48:50Speaker 5: ending goes on almost forever as it just slowly builds
- 48:54Speaker 5: and builds and builds until it just cuts off. That's crazy.
- 49:00Speaker 5: We are back to Augie. The game got much tighter. Augie,
- 49:03Speaker 5: you can take the lead now.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Would you do this for 1,000? Let's close that. For 1,000, Augie.
- 49:10Speaker 5: Timberius is a tree-like super being in this series of
- 49:14Speaker 5: comic books published by Marvel.
- 49:19Speaker 6: Nope.
- 49:21Speaker 11: Right?
- 49:22Speaker 3: And that's where you lost me. I'm sorry.
- 49:23Speaker 1: I haven't gotten help for you, sir.
- 49:25Speaker 9: I have an idea.
- 49:26Speaker 5: No answer. Does anybody have a guess?
- 49:29Speaker 2: Well, I would guess the apple trees and the Wizard
- 49:32Speaker 2: of Oz, but I know that's not it.
- 49:35Speaker 6: Was it Swamp Thing?
- 49:37Speaker 5: No, it wasn't Swamp Thing.
- 49:38Speaker 6: No, that's DC.
- 49:40Speaker 5: This was tough. Correct response. What are Inhumans?
- 49:43Speaker 6: The Inhumans.
- 49:44Speaker 3: The series I didn't bother with.
- 49:46Speaker 6: Nobody reads those.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Wow.
- 49:49Speaker 5: We are back to Diane.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Oh, let's go for the classic movies that suck 1,000. 1,000, Diane.
- 49:53Speaker 5: Well, because I'm not going to get it.
- 49:56Speaker 2: I might as well just go for it.
- 49:58Speaker 5: Diane referenced on this show more than once is this
- 50:01Speaker 5: 1936 propaganda film that instead of warning people against marijuana
- 50:06Speaker 5: is now a cult classic among stoners.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Oh, it's a good movie. You think I can remember
- 50:10Speaker 2: what it's called? Shoot.
- 50:13Speaker 9: It's.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Did anybody else know?
- 50:23Speaker 3: I don't know. There are so many.
- 50:25Speaker 2: This movie is good. It's a good movie, and I
- 50:27Speaker 2: can't remember the.
- 50:28Speaker 11: Name of it.
- 50:28Speaker 9: Unbelievable.
- 50:30Speaker 5: Stevie and Augie should absolutely know it. We've discussed it
- 50:32Speaker 5: multiple times. What is... Reefer Madness.
- 50:35Speaker 6: Yes.
- 50:35Speaker 2: I have the movie.
- 50:38Speaker 5: Put it one up in smoke.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Incredible. The thing is.
- 50:45Speaker 5: All right, that's it. Go home, everybody. We're not going
- 50:47Speaker 5: to talk about it.
- 50:48Speaker 3: Any Teach and Chow movie I would get right away.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Me and my mom love those movies. Those were the
- 50:53Speaker 3: ones we watched all the time.
- 50:54Speaker 2: When the window opens up.
- 50:57Speaker 5: John, where to? Iguana.
- 50:58Speaker 9: Okay, 80s TV shows for $ 400. For $ 400, John.
- 51:02Speaker 5: Sam Malone was a pro baseball player before owning this
- 51:05Speaker 5: titular bar.
- 51:06Speaker 9: Yes. What is Cheers?
- 51:08Speaker 5: Is right for 400 points. Thank you. We are over
- 51:11Speaker 5: to Augie.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Good job, honey.
- 51:13Speaker 3: That was a good series, too. That was great. Why
- 51:16Speaker 3: for 200?
- 51:16Speaker 5: For 200, Augie. This Netflix series revolved around the aftermath
- 51:20Speaker 5: of teen suicide. The victim recorded many tapes before the
- 51:24Speaker 5: act and sent them to her friend.
- 51:27Speaker 3: I'm glad I don't know this one, I'll be honest.
- 51:32Speaker 3: What the fuck? What is Blair Witch Park 2?
- 51:37Speaker 5: Again, why is in quotes for a reason. Does anybody
- 51:40Speaker 5: have a guess?
- 51:40Speaker 3: Why would anyone make this movie?
- 51:42Speaker 2: Something with 13.
- 51:44Speaker 5: Yeah, that's actually very close. Correct response, what is 13
- 51:48Speaker 5: Reasons Why?
- 51:49Speaker 2: 13 reasons why I said they committed suicide.
- 51:53Speaker 5: It was very, very popular.
- 51:56Speaker 3: I am so glad I skipped that one.
- 51:58Speaker 5: Good for you, I guess. We're back to Diane. Where to?
- 52:02Speaker 2: 80s TV shows for $ 1, 000.
- 52:05Speaker 5: For $ 1, 000, Diane. The car on Knight Rider was named KIT,
- 52:09Speaker 5: which was actually an acronym that meant this.
- 52:13Speaker 7: Oh, come on.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Lifeline, Steven.
- 52:15Speaker 9: I don't remember.
- 52:20Speaker 5: Well, you have some time. Talk it over. Try and
- 52:22Speaker 5: think it out.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Okay, what do you think it is? K.
- 52:27Speaker 6: Knight Industries. Oh, yeah. It's Knight Industries.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Trans Am. Something Trans Am. It's a card.
- 52:38Speaker 6: Can we get half points?
- 52:39Speaker 2: Can we get half points? Knight Industries something Trans Am.
- 52:46Speaker 6: It was a technical transport. I can't remember.
- 52:49Speaker 5: I need an answer.
- 52:52Speaker 2: What is Night Industry Technical Trans Am?
- 52:57Speaker 5: That is incorrect, I'm afraid.
- 52:59Speaker 2: But was it close?
- 53:01Speaker 5: You were halfway there. What is Night Industries 2000? Oh, crap.
- 53:07Speaker 6: It was the numbers, that's why.
- 53:08Speaker 5: Yeah, Night Industries 2000.
- 53:11Speaker 2: That paid you.
- 53:11Speaker 5: Okay, John, you're up next.
- 53:16Speaker 9: I'll stay with the 80s TV shows for 800.
- 53:19Speaker 5: For 800, John. Mike Seaver's best friend was known by
- 53:22Speaker 5: the nickname Boner on this sitcom.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Oh.
- 53:32Speaker 6: I can't remember his name, but I remember the show.
- 53:34Speaker 9: Time.
- 53:35Speaker 6: I can't remember the show.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Anybody else know the name of the show?
- 53:40Speaker 6: It's not that one, dummy. It's the other one. Growing Pains.
- 53:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it was Growing Pains.
- 53:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:44Speaker 9: 100%. Never saw it.
- 53:46Speaker 8: All right.
- 53:46Speaker 2: See, this is the stuff I know.
- 53:50Speaker 3: All right.
- 53:53Speaker 5: Augie, you are still in striking distance. Where would you.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Like to go?
- 53:58Speaker 3: I don't know, because all I see is Mike Seaver's
- 54:00Speaker 3: best friend.
- 54:01Speaker 5: Oh, sorry about that.
- 54:02Speaker 3: All I see is Boner. Anyways.
- 54:07Speaker 2: I didn't fit.
- 54:08Speaker 9: Steven for 400.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Steven for 400.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Augie.
- 54:15Speaker 5: Stephen Hyde was one of the ensemble characters played by
- 54:18Speaker 5: Danny Masterson on this 1998 to 2006 sitcom. Red said,
- 54:23Speaker 5: get this wrong, and it's a foot in the ass.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Is that 70s show?
- 54:27Speaker 5: Is right.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Nice dog.
- 54:28Speaker 5: Good job. We are back to Diane.
- 54:31Speaker 2: 80s TV show for a 600.
- 54:35Speaker 5: For a 600, Diane. Of Have Mercy, How Rude, and
- 54:40Speaker 5: You Got It, Dude, the Full House catchphrase that wasn't
- 54:43Speaker 5: primarily said by a tanner.
- 54:48Speaker 6: Wasn't said by a tanner.
- 54:51Speaker 2: What is Have Mercy?
- 54:53Speaker 5: Is right for 600 points.
- 54:54Speaker 3: Wow.
- 54:54Speaker 5: Bring you to minus 700. Yeah.
- 54:57Speaker 3: It's been a while since I've seen Full House.
- 54:59Speaker 9: That was a hard question.
- 55:01Speaker 5: How rude was Stephanie and You Got It Dude was
- 55:04Speaker 5: Michelle and Have Mercy was John Stamos' character's name.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:09Speaker 8: Jesse.
- 55:10Speaker 5: Uncle Jesse.
- 55:10Speaker 3: Uncle Jesse.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Yep. How could you forget that, Aaron?
- 55:13Speaker 5: He was not a tanner.
- 55:14Speaker 9: Uncle Jesse.
- 55:16Speaker 5: Anyway, we're back to John.
- 55:19Speaker 9: Let's try Y for 400.
- 55:21Speaker 5: Y for 400, John. This 1969 memoir by Maya Angelou
- 55:25Speaker 5: chronicles her struggles with abandonment, racial prejudice, and sexual abuse.
- 55:32Speaker 9: No clue.
- 55:39Speaker 5: Yeah, this is her most famous book as far as
- 55:43Speaker 5: I know. What is I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings?
- 55:47Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Holy hell.
- 55:48Speaker 9: Jeez.
- 55:49Speaker 3: I've never read it, but I've heard of it.
- 55:50Speaker 6: God, condense, lady. Jesus.
- 55:52Speaker 2: It's a book.
- 55:53Speaker 9: There's so many more. That's like with the pages in it? Oh, yeah.
- 55:58Speaker 5: Sorry about that. It should have been more clear.
- 56:00Speaker 3: It's the one with all the trees in it.
- 56:02Speaker 5: Augie, we're back to you.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Let's go down the line. Steven for 600. Steven for 600.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Augie.
- 56:13Speaker 5: Stephen Taylor was a companion to the first Doctor on
- 56:16Speaker 5: this sci-fi TV series.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Oh, these seem way too easy. What is Doctor Who?
- 56:20Speaker 9: Nice. Good job.
- 56:20Speaker 5: Is correct. For 600 points, bringing you to 1,400 and
- 56:23Speaker 5: the lead for the first time in this game, we're
- 56:26Speaker 5: back to Diane.
- 56:27Speaker 8: Holy crap, Bob.
- 56:27Speaker 2: Yay.
- 56:28Speaker 6: Nice.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Holy hell.
- 56:29Speaker 2: There you go. Classic movies that suck 600, because why not?
- 56:35Speaker 5: All right, Diane. The only film to be featured on
- 56:38Speaker 5: Mystery Science Theater 3000, Riff Trax, and Cinematic Titanic is
- 56:43Speaker 5: Santa Claus Conquers Creatures from This Planet.
- 56:48Speaker 2: What is Mars?
- 56:50Speaker 5: Is right for 600 points.
- 56:51Speaker 9: Nice. Good guess.
- 56:53Speaker 5: You need a minus 100. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
- 56:57Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 56:59Speaker 5: John, your next pick.
- 57:01Speaker 9: Okay, Y for 1,000. Y for 1,000, John.
- 57:05Speaker 5: This 1990 caper movie stars Christopher's Lambert and Lloyd, and
- 57:10Speaker 5: the title might be what you're saying if you don't
- 57:12Speaker 5: know this movie at all.
- 57:15Speaker 9: What the fuck?
- 57:21Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 57:24Speaker 5: Time. Remember, it's got Y in the title. Does anybody
- 57:28Speaker 5: have a guess?
- 57:30Speaker 2: No.
- 57:30Speaker 3: Why am I watching this?
- 57:34Speaker 5: Correct response. What is Why Me?
- 57:38Speaker 2: That makes sense. Are you sure that shouldn't be in
- 57:41Speaker 2: classic movies at the time?
- 57:45Speaker 5: I mean, it's 1990. I'd have a hard time putting
- 57:47Speaker 5: that in classic, but anyway.
- 57:49Speaker 8: Well, it's old now.
- 57:52Speaker 5: Augie, your second to last pick.
- 57:55Speaker 3: Steven for 800.
- 57:57Speaker 5: For 800, Augie. This Steven was born Steven Tallarico. and
- 58:01Speaker 5: he's been the lead singer of Aerosmith since its inception
- 58:04Speaker 5: in 1970.
- 58:05Speaker 3: Oh, no, unfortunately. I know the music, I just don't
- 58:09Speaker 3: know the artists.
- 58:09Speaker 1: You know it, right?
- 58:10Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah.
- 58:11Speaker 3: Do I have a lifeline?
- 58:13Speaker 5: Stevie. Oh, you said Stevie.
- 58:15Speaker 6: Does he have a lifeline?
- 58:17Speaker 5: He does.
- 58:18Speaker 9: Cool.
- 58:19Speaker 6: It's Steven Tyler.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Who is Steven Tyler?
- 58:23Speaker 5: Steven Tyler is correct for 800 points.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Welcome.
- 58:27Speaker 6: I know some things.
- 58:29Speaker 3: I know the songs.
- 58:30Speaker 10: I just unfortunately don't memorize all the names.
- 58:32Speaker 5: Diane, your last pick on this board.
- 58:35Speaker 2: And I'm in last place. I'm going to go for
- 58:36Speaker 2: the classic movies that suck because I don't know why,
- 58:39Speaker 2: but I'm going to do it.
- 58:39Speaker 6: For 800, Diane.
- 58:42Speaker 7: Oh, shoot.
- 58:44Speaker 5: You found the other Daily Befuddle.
- 58:45Speaker 2: If I bet it all, I'll get minus 200.
- 58:49Speaker 5: You can wager up to 1,000 points if you want.
- 58:53Speaker 6: 1,000 points.
- 58:53Speaker 2: Go for it.
- 58:54Speaker 5: 1,000 points. Let's go.
- 58:56Speaker 9: Why not? What do I got to do?
- 58:57Speaker 5: Diane, here's your clue. Howard Hughes funded 1956's The Conqueror,
- 59:04Speaker 5: which featured one of the most miscast roles ever, John Wayne,
- 59:09Speaker 5: as this historian. figure.
- 59:10Speaker 2: Who is Genghis Khan?
- 59:12Speaker 5: Is right for a thousand points.
- 59:16Speaker 10: Did they really cast John Wayne as Genghis Khan?
- 59:19Speaker 5: Yes, they did.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Horrible.
- 59:21Speaker 1: Wow.
- 59:23Speaker 5: Holy cow.
- 59:24Speaker 3: He just had a little ponytail.
- 59:25Speaker 5: Holy shit. I got to see this.
- 59:29Speaker 2: We just watched the biography on John Wayne a couple
- 59:32Speaker 2: months ago, and it was in there. Oh, yeah, I
- 59:34Speaker 2: never saw that.
- 59:35Speaker 9: I don't want to. Oh, my God.
- 59:36Speaker 11: What the hell?
- 59:37Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 59:38Speaker 5: All right, John, your last pick from these last two clues.
- 59:41Speaker 9: I got to go with Steven for 1,000 to try
- 59:43Speaker 9: to get close to Audrey.
- 59:44Speaker 5: For 1,000, John. Steven Weber has played Jack Torrance in
- 59:48Speaker 5: the TV miniseries of The Shining. but he's probably best
- 59:52Speaker 5: known for being one of the Hackett brothers on this
- 59:54Speaker 5: 1990 to 1997 sitcom.
- 59:57Speaker 9: Yep. I'm the only one in the room that doesn't
- 59:59Speaker 9: know it.
- 59:59Speaker 6: No, he doesn't know it either. I don't know.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: He's too young.
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: You and I know it.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: I should get points even, whatever.
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: I watched this last month.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: I love this show.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: Time.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: Diane, what is it?
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: What is Wing?
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, it absolutely was Wings.
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: Because you never.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Liked the show, and I'd watch it, but I'd go
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: to bed.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I've never seen it.
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: Bitch in the butt. Augie, you get our last clue
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: in why for 800.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Of course.
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: This 2016 movie stars Bryan Cranston and James Franco, and
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: the title asks the question every father asks their daughter
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: about their future husband.
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: Ooh.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: I'm sorry, what? Oh, God, no. Drew a blank. I
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: know it's got fucking what's-his-face in it.
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: Does anybody else know or want to take a guess?
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: The only question I could think of, Father, would ask
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: some guy was, do you have a job? But I
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: know that's not.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: Remember, it has why in the title.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Why do you have a job?
- 1:01:01Speaker 9: Exactly, why?
- 1:01:04Speaker 6: Is it just why?
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: The correct response, what is why him?
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Okay, fair.
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: Why him? All right. That is all of Double Beefy Eprity.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: At the end of this round, our scores stand. Diane
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: at 900, John at 1,000, and Augie at 2,200. And
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: we're going to go straight to Final Beefy Eprity. And
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: our Final Beefy Eprity category is... Stevie, the actual guy
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: this time.
- 1:01:30Speaker 6: Oh, God.
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: This is a question.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: About Stevie himself, and he's not allowed to help any
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: of you.
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: So Aaron how embarrassing is this question going to be
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: I hope it's.
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: Really good Augie you can either text me or write
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: it down if you want oh yeah I'll text you I.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: Think it's nothing a mother should not.
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: Know but please please write down how many of your
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: points you are willing to wager on this question.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I'm curious me too I know we don't know it
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: we're bad we gotta write down the answer too no
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: no no not yet.
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: Hopefully.
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: I'll be honest ahead of time.
- 1:02:16Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: I'll take that.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Do you need to know what our things are? Not yet.
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: No. Okay.
- 1:02:25Speaker 11: Nope.
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: All right. So does everybody have a wager written down?
- 1:02:30Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: I have Oggies. Okay. We're ready to rock and roll.
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: Here is the clue. And I'll tell you right now.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: This is not something I would expect any of you
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: to know, but I did give you multiple choice for
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: that reason. Of Beefy Ebrity, Pole Position, or Taskmaster, it's
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: the only one of these three BFYTW game shows Stevie
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: has never won. 30 seconds. Go ahead and write down
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: which of the three you think is the answer.
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: Okay. I was hiding the pen from Augie so he
- 1:03:24Speaker 8: couldn't answer.
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: And we're out. Okay, everybody have an answer written down?
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: We're going to start with you, Diane. How many points
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: did you wager?
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: 900.
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: All 900. And what was your response?
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Pole position.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: That is right, and it doubles your points to 1,800.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: Well done.
- 1:03:49Speaker 10: It's a lot less sexual than it sounds.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: It really is.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Then I'm good.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: John, what was your wager?
- 1:03:57Speaker 9: 1,000.
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: And what was your answer?
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: Pole position.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: And that will, of course, double your score to 2,000,
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: bring you to 2,000. Augie, I did not get a
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: texted answer from you. What was your response?
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: My response was Taskmaster.
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: That is wrong, which brings you down to 1,200, which
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: means our winner is John.
- 1:04:18Speaker 9: Nice. Good win. Yes. Thank you, Augie.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: I honestly couldn't remember if he ever played or won
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: a Taskmaster.

- 1:04:32Speaker 5: Stevie practically announced at the beginning of this that he
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: had won Beefy Eprity, so I'm like, well, now it's
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: down to a 50-50. But yeah, Stevie, you won the
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: first ever Taskmaster.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: The one Jorge won.
- 1:04:45Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: The one where Jorge was the Taskmaster and where you
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: struggled to come up with an adverb for five minutes.
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
