- 0:00Speaker 1: If there's a company that has a sign that says
- 0:03Speaker 1: they're not responsible for your windshield damage, call Clay Travis Law.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Accidents don't wait for good timing.
- 0:08Speaker 1: One bad moment, a wreck, a fall, a doctor who
- 0:11Speaker 1: wasn't paying attention, and suddenly you're fighting an insurance company
- 0:13Speaker 1: that does this every single day. That's why Clay started
- 0:16Speaker 1: Clay Travis Law. He's a Vanderbilt law grab, and he
- 0:18Speaker 1: built a firm focused on the details. People deserve someone
- 0:21Speaker 1: by their side, willing to pay full attention, and ask
- 0:24Speaker 1: the hard questions. Push back when things don't add up.
- 0:27Speaker 1: You are backed by experienced trial attorneys. And they're going
- 0:30Speaker 1: to bring the fight to corporations and insurers. Clay Travis Law,
- 0:33Speaker 1: based in Nashville, trusted across the country.
- 0:36Speaker 2: That's right.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Car and truck wrecks, like we talked about. Maybe a
- 0:39Speaker 3: non-secure payload on a truck could do something to your car.
- 0:43Speaker 3: You need to call Clay Travis Law. Rideshare accidents, medical malpractice,
- 0:45Speaker 3: premises liability, product liability. If you were wrong, they want
- 0:49Speaker 3: to hear about it. Here's their promise. Honesty. They don't
- 0:51Speaker 3: sugarcoat your case. You'll hear what it's actually worth, not
- 0:53Speaker 3: what you want to hear. Case evaluation is free. No charge,
- 0:56Speaker 3: no pressure, no hassle. Just tell them your story and
- 0:58Speaker 3: go to claytravislaw.com or call them at 877-222-4444. That's claytravislaw.com.
- 1:04Speaker 3: No case is too big or too small. Chad, last night,
- 1:09Speaker 3: Dave Chappelle, I think it's the third time I've seen him.
- 1:12Speaker 3: And the previous two times have been at the Ryman.
- 1:14Speaker 3: This at the arena. I was curious on what the
- 1:17Speaker 3: crowd would be like because I didn't even know he
- 1:19Speaker 3: was in town until the day before.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Did you know he was going to be in Nashville?
- 1:25Speaker 3: No clue.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Me too.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I find this with a lot of acts that I'd
- 1:28Speaker 3: really like to go see, and I'm like, I didn't
- 1:30Speaker 3: know a thing about it. I don't know if I'm
- 1:32Speaker 3: not hooked up to the right algorithm on Instagram or
- 1:35Speaker 3: something about tickets, but I'm not seeing anything that's coming
- 1:37Speaker 3: through town.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'd say he had roughly 13,000 to 14,000 there. The
- 1:44Speaker 1: arena seats, what, 17? So there were some empties up top,
- 1:49Speaker 1: but a solid crowd. Last night, Jeffrey Simmons and some
- 1:52Speaker 1: of the Titans were next to us. in one of
- 1:54Speaker 1: the boxes. Shout out to Alex Guthrie and Andy Knowles
- 2:00Speaker 1: for hosting me.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Thank you, guys. That was awesome.
- 2:03Speaker 1: It was a show that was probably a little over
- 2:04Speaker 1: an hour, but it felt like a little under an hour.
- 2:06Speaker 1: It went fast. He comes out like he's got everything.
- 2:13Speaker 1: He was trying to be canceled.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Did he have an opening act at all?
- 2:17Speaker 2: He did. He had three. Three, okay.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Did you see all of them? Were they good?
- 2:21Speaker 1: I came in during the first one. They were good, yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 1: A variety of topics, I would say. But he comes
- 2:30Speaker 1: out and goes right up to transgender, that line of topic,
- 2:36Speaker 1: because that's where people tried to cancel him. Racism, Muslims, Asians.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I mean, he does everybody. If you can't laugh at yourself,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you're not going to like this. There were two fights
- 2:47Speaker 1: in the crowd. Because I don't know why, but people
- 2:51Speaker 1: were shouting. Based on topics is my guess, because he
- 2:56Speaker 1: brings up Trump and Biden. He goes after it, man.
- 3:01Speaker 1: He talked about a black pilot and how if you're
- 3:05Speaker 1: an African-American, you think that guy's made it because he's
- 3:08Speaker 1: a pilot for Southwest Airlines. He got a good laugh there.
- 3:14Speaker 1: No encore last night.
- 3:18Speaker 2: And the... Oh, so.
- 3:22Speaker 1: The thing that is crazy is he is paranoid to
- 3:28Speaker 1: a level of no one that I've ever seen in
- 3:32Speaker 1: person about cell phones, about video, because he doesn't want
- 3:36Speaker 1: to be on YouTube. His entire show, he doesn't want
- 3:38Speaker 1: it recorded. Chad, when you go into Bridgestone Arena, there
- 3:43Speaker 1: are two separate metal detectors. I guess one is just
- 3:47Speaker 1: for phones. I'm not sure. But you come in and
- 3:49Speaker 1: there's like a, we saw this during primary complaint, the
- 3:52Speaker 1: bag that you put your phone in. You put your
- 3:55Speaker 1: phone in there. And then if you have an aura
- 3:58Speaker 1: ring on, if you have a Apple watch, they make
- 4:03Speaker 1: you take it off and put it in there. Anything
- 4:05Speaker 1: that could possibly be in control of a video camera
- 4:11Speaker 1: goes into this bag. And they know you have it on,
- 4:13Speaker 1: which is crazy. It is the most impressive thing I've seen.
- 4:18Speaker 1: in a long time because not one time did I
- 4:21Speaker 1: see anyone with a phone. They have people with binoculars
- 4:24Speaker 1: around the top of the arena looking for it.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Like when Trump was at Neyland Stadium for the Texas
- 4:30Speaker 3: game and there were snipers up with binoculars the whole time? Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 3: They had people, instead of looking for guns, looking for
- 4:35Speaker 3: cell phones?
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 1: They have multiple people of his staff around the top
- 4:39Speaker 1: of the arena looking down, just scoping it out, trying
- 4:43Speaker 1: to find phones. Not one time did I see them
- 4:47Speaker 1: ever get on a radio.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Not one time.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I don't know in this day and age how you
- 4:51Speaker 1: do that, how you pull that off. He travels with,
- 4:54Speaker 1: I would say, a large staff. Others have said it's
- 4:57Speaker 1: not that large. But, I mean, you could tell just
- 5:00Speaker 1: walking in and out who's with Bridgestone Arena and who's not.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And you unlock your phone on the way out, and
- 5:06Speaker 1: off you go. But people were getting really upset when
- 5:08Speaker 1: they came in because they didn't know about the phone policy.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And previous to this, a previous show, he comes out
- 5:15Speaker 1: for an encore and he unlocks the phones. So you
- 5:18Speaker 1: can videotape anything you want to, get to photos, whatever,
- 5:22Speaker 1: during the encore.
- 5:23Speaker 2: No encore last night. Just walked off the stage, straight out,
- 5:27Speaker 2: on to the next one. Really, really funny. But again,
- 5:32Speaker 2: you have to be able to laugh at yourself.
- 5:33Speaker 1: There are some topics in there that will trigger you
- 5:36Speaker 1: if you.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Don't just take it as a joke.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And Last night, there were a couple of people that
- 5:42Speaker 1: weren't able to do that.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Shouting, fighting. And it took forever. I mean, it was
- 5:45Speaker 2: like he stopped the show. It was like doing play-by-play
- 5:49Speaker 2: of it.
- 5:50Speaker 3: So someone would shout something and someone would take offense
- 5:53Speaker 3: in the crowd and they'd start fighting, basically?
- 5:55Speaker 1: No, they would have their own conversation, their own argument.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And then he'd stop someone fighting and then he would
- 6:02Speaker 1: give play-by-play. Like, security, security, you know, and joking about it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And then he's up here in section whatever. And then
- 6:12Speaker 1: he tried to guess the race is what he was
- 6:14Speaker 1: trying to do during the fight. But yeah, it's Chappelle.
- 6:21Speaker 1: He's trying to go for that. And he got a
- 6:23Speaker 1: couple of people on it. And it was on the
- 6:27Speaker 1: transgender and on the Trump jokes he was making. Oh,
- 6:30Speaker 1: Epstein files. He went hard on that with Trump. And
- 6:34Speaker 1: that's when the fights broke out.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Yeah. I got you. That's a very sensitive topic,
- 6:39Speaker 3: I feel like, on all sides for people being accused
- 6:42Speaker 3: of different things with that. I'm amazed at his ability
- 6:47Speaker 3: to control the whole cell phone thing. I totally understand
- 6:50Speaker 3: why you do it. It's really twofold. One is obviously
- 6:53Speaker 3: to protect the lucrative deal he has with Netflix for
- 6:56Speaker 3: the specials that he produces for them. You don't want
- 6:59Speaker 3: all that stuff on film getting out there before you
- 7:03Speaker 3: release your special because they're paying you for the exclusive rights.
- 7:06Speaker 3: To that special. So that protects Netflix and it protects
- 7:08Speaker 3: him to continue to get a ton of money from Netflix.
- 7:11Speaker 1: And his arena shows. He doesn't want to have people
- 7:15Speaker 1: see his stand-up. Yeah, before they go. Previous to go
- 7:18Speaker 1: because they won't go.
- 7:19Speaker 2: They won't buy tickets.
- 7:20Speaker 3: It's also a way of protecting you, the person who
- 7:23Speaker 3: pays for the ticket, and that it's not all going
- 7:25Speaker 3: to be spoiled by someone else when you go to Instagram.
- 7:29Speaker 3: And you're going to see footage of it because when
- 7:31Speaker 3: he goes to Lexington, Kentucky or Detroit, Michigan or wherever next...
- 7:35Speaker 3: then you're going to be able to get a special
- 7:36Speaker 3: experience that you don't know what's happening and what he's
- 7:39Speaker 3: going to say. So I do appreciate that part of
- 7:41Speaker 3: it with him. I also think that just if you're
- 7:44Speaker 3: a stand-up comic, no one wants somebody with their phone
- 7:49Speaker 3: up the whole time filming you because you're trying to
- 7:52Speaker 3: get an in-person reaction, a visceral response. That visceral response
- 7:57Speaker 3: could be two people fighting in the crowd. It's usually,
- 7:59Speaker 3: I want uproarious laughter. at the punchline that I know
- 8:03Speaker 3: I'm building up to and trying to get to. But
- 8:05Speaker 3: you have to have that immediacy. We've talked to Nate
- 8:07Speaker 3: Bargatze about that. You know, Nate Bargatze came on with
- 8:10Speaker 3: us during COVID to do shows for like 25, 30
- 8:14Speaker 3: people that were listeners of the show as a special
- 8:16Speaker 3: guest because he couldn't get in front of people to
- 8:19Speaker 3: test material. So he would test some of his material
- 8:22Speaker 3: with a 30-person Zoom room that we were on because
- 8:25Speaker 3: you've got to get that immediate response and see what's
- 8:27Speaker 3: working and see what's not. And that's what stand-up comics
- 8:31Speaker 3: live for, is that response from a live audience from it.
- 8:35Speaker 3: You don't get that as much if someone's got a
- 8:37Speaker 3: cell phone sticking up in the air the whole time.
- 8:39Speaker 3: So I have no issues with that, with Dave Chappelle
- 8:42Speaker 3: and why he's doing it.
- 8:43Speaker 2: I just don't. And it's a weird feeling not having
- 8:45Speaker 2: your phone on you. It is.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Even for that short amount of time. Like, there were
- 8:49Speaker 1: a couple times where I was reaching for the phone
- 8:51Speaker 1: to do something.
- 8:52Speaker 2: But it's just out of habit. And you.
- 8:56Speaker 1: It made me think about how much I'm connected to
- 9:00Speaker 1: that device.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Masters is that way, too. When we went
- 9:04Speaker 3: there for the whole day, you check your pocket and
- 9:07Speaker 3: it's like, oh, yeah, I left it back where I'm staying.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Staff for the arena also had turned in their phones.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I couldn't connect with Reno, for instance.
- 9:16Speaker 3: We heard from Jacob Lutz about other things staff from
- 9:19Speaker 3: the arena had to do that we can't talk about
- 9:20Speaker 3: on air.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I bet he smoked a pack of cigarettes up there.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Oh, I bet.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I mean, just constantly. Speaking of big responses. He works
- 9:29Speaker 1: at a prop, too, by the way. It's a really
- 9:31Speaker 1: good job by him to work it as a prop.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 9:33Speaker 3: He's he's very, very good at it. Speaking of other
- 9:37Speaker 3: big reactions to stand up comics. Yeah. Have you seen
- 9:40Speaker 3: all the controversy around Shane Gillis and his monologue on SNL?
- 9:44Speaker 2: Well, that's an else if yes.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Which, by the way, Tyre season three does a whole episode,
- 9:49Speaker 3: a half an episode on this bit that he does. Basically,
- 9:53Speaker 3: he's talking about how women dress like whores at the
- 9:57Speaker 3: gym and we're not supposed to look at. it or
- 10:00Speaker 3: we're being offensive to them and how it's like what
- 10:03Speaker 3: are you training for the whore olympics or something he's
- 10:05Speaker 3: saying you know when you're at the gym um and
- 10:08Speaker 3: women got very very upset about this i saw dana
- 10:11Speaker 3: carvey he's one of my favorites on his fly on
- 10:13Speaker 3: the wall podcast with dana car with david spade say
- 10:17Speaker 3: i just took it as you know a joke Like
- 10:21Speaker 3: everything else, he's not saying all women are whores. It's
- 10:24Speaker 3: a joke about the appearance of women in the gym.
- 10:28Speaker 3: But there's a whole bit in an episode of Tires
- 10:30Speaker 3: where he's caught looking at a girl doing squats and
- 10:33Speaker 3: the short tight shorts. And then the guy's filming him
- 10:36Speaker 3: staring at the girl doing it. And they're surprising them
- 10:39Speaker 3: and interviewing him. on camera and he has like a
- 10:41Speaker 3: heart attack, a panic attack. He's getting interviewed about it
- 10:44Speaker 3: at the gym, which is very, very funny. I think
- 10:47Speaker 3: Shane Gillis is funny. I also know that Lorne Michaels
- 10:50Speaker 3: loves to stick it to management by bringing back people
- 10:53Speaker 3: that he was forced to fire. He did not want
- 10:56Speaker 3: to fire Shane Gillis when he was initially hired at
- 10:58Speaker 3: SNL because they went back and found some old footage
- 11:01Speaker 3: of of him saying some racially insensitive things on one
- 11:04Speaker 3: of his sketch comedy shows. The network forced to fire him.
- 11:08Speaker 3: The moment he could get him back to host, he's
- 11:11Speaker 3: done it. I think Gillis has hosted three times now,
- 11:13Speaker 3: and each time has been good episodes. I don't even
- 11:15Speaker 3: watch SNL this year, but I've seen a couple of
- 11:18Speaker 3: the skits. And it's really, really funny. I didn't even
- 11:21Speaker 3: see his monologue, but I've read all about it. The
- 11:25Speaker 3: other one was Norm MacDonald. You know, Norm MacDonald, he
- 11:27Speaker 3: forced the fire. The moment he could bring him back
- 11:29Speaker 3: the next season, he did it as a host because
- 11:31Speaker 3: he likes to stick it to management. Also, the first
- 11:35Speaker 3: thing I thought of was, this is great for SNL.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Because I haven't heard about that show in a long time.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You and I used to always break down the shows.
- 11:45Speaker 1: This is what gets the buzz going. It's just the
- 11:49Speaker 1: monologue from him. It sounds weird, but they have to
- 11:52Speaker 1: be thrilled with this. They do. Because they're getting discussed
- 11:57Speaker 1: unlike any show that they've had previously.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Unless it's Chappelle.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it's Chappelle. Now it's like the risque stand-up comic. Chappelle...
- 12:07Speaker 3: Shane Gillis, when Louis C.K. would host even before he
- 12:11Speaker 3: got canceled, was another one that would get a lot
- 12:13Speaker 3: of talking. It's anybody that grabs the mic during the
- 12:17Speaker 3: opening monologue, they're going to go do their stand-up routine. But,
- 12:20Speaker 3: I mean, there are former women that worked at SNL
- 12:22Speaker 3: that are all up in arms about what Shane Gillis said. And,
- 12:27Speaker 3: I mean, come on. It's a joke. You're not saying–
- 12:33Speaker 3: people have to have a better understanding of Of what
- 12:36Speaker 3: exactly is being said. And if you want to come
- 12:39Speaker 3: back and make fun of Shane Gillis, you can. That's
- 12:41Speaker 3: your right, you know, as a comedian. Or if you're
- 12:43Speaker 3: going to joke, you can joke about him now, too.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Chappelle made a joke about him last night. He said,
- 12:48Speaker 1: how many whites do we have in here? How many
- 12:49Speaker 1: Shane Gillis fans.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Do we have?
- 12:51Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I love that.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Coming up, we had 101,000 plus at Neyland Stadium and
- 13:01Speaker 1: set a record. We discussed just how loud it was.
- 13:04Speaker 1: And what it means for home field advantage.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Straight ahead.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Get your morning started off right. Sutton and Withrow presented
- 13:11Speaker 1: by Hard Rock Bet. You can do that with Crockett Coffee.

- 14:12Speaker 2: So it was loud at Neyland Stadium.
- 14:14Speaker 3: No doubt.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Pretty loud.
- 14:16Speaker 1: And so loud that they've set a new decibel reading record.
- 14:22Speaker 1: They've done this several times where they've gone above 120.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Like a lot of times. But look at this. 105
- 14:28Speaker 1: unique events over 120.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Wow.
- 14:32Speaker 1: And they got as high as we've ever seen, Chad,
- 14:35Speaker 1: at a stadium for college football.
- 14:37Speaker 2: The loudest.
- 14:37Speaker 3: 130.3 decibels. I'm always a little bit skeptical of the
- 14:42Speaker 3: science involved with this, of just how loud it gets.
- 14:47Speaker 3: And we can say this from first-hand experience, it was
- 14:48Speaker 3: incredibly loud.
- 14:49Speaker 2: It was.
- 14:50Speaker 3: On every third down, especially when Alabama first got the ball,
- 14:52Speaker 3: it was incredibly loud. The moment where that happened was
- 14:56Speaker 3: third quarter. Tennessee just got a sack on second down.
- 15:00Speaker 3: They're up 19-10 trying to get the ball back, and
- 15:03Speaker 3: then they play spooky Rocky Top, and it just happened
- 15:06Speaker 3: to coincide with that video from ABC of Kalen DeBoer
- 15:09Speaker 3: having a breakdown on his face as it's happening. That
- 15:12Speaker 3: was the loudest moment of the game. That was the
- 15:14Speaker 3: moment where they hit 130.3 decibels. I keep thinking that
- 15:19Speaker 3: Neyland Stadium is going to have some sort of drop-off
- 15:22Speaker 3: or some level of complacency after big games are played
- 15:25Speaker 3: there time and time again. I'm amazed that there is
- 15:28Speaker 3: no drop-off. Danny White, he gets criticized about trying to
- 15:32Speaker 3: build a hotel and being the bean counter and all
- 15:35Speaker 3: of that, but whatever he has done has worked because
- 15:38Speaker 3: when Tennessee gets a big game in a big environment
- 15:42Speaker 3: on big-time television in a big-time slot, that stadium delivers
- 15:47Speaker 3: time and time again. I remember a game that wasn't
- 15:49Speaker 3: even thought of as that big of a game, the
- 15:51Speaker 3: game against Auburn, was shockingly very loud in that second
- 15:55Speaker 3: half when Tennessee made their comeback and took the lead.
- 15:58Speaker 3: So Neyland Stadium delivers, man. I don't know how else
- 16:01Speaker 3: to say it. Everybody's praised the environment and the atmosphere
- 16:04Speaker 3: all week. We're not really going to add much to
- 16:07Speaker 3: that other than to say Hutton. Every time I keep
- 16:09Speaker 3: thinking there's going to be some apathy or some complacency
- 16:12Speaker 3: with the crowd, it's not going to be quite as loud.
- 16:15Speaker 3: It keeps getting better and better year after year.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and the loudest I would say I've witnessed personally
- 16:22Speaker 1: would have been Texas A & M where we were
- 16:25Speaker 1: there for the Alabama game. It's funny what the noise
- 16:28Speaker 1: that Alabama will bring out. The other stadiums, though, Husky
- 16:32Speaker 1: Stadium for Washington. Tennessee's going to be in Williams-Brice Stadium
- 16:37Speaker 1: this week. That's a loud stadium, which is based on
- 16:40Speaker 1: how it's built. Tiger Stadium, Death Valley, of course. I've
- 16:43Speaker 1: never been there, though. Clemson, apparently, is really loud. Never
- 16:48Speaker 1: been there. But it's Kyle Field, and now it's Tennessee.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I think the good... They were really, really motivated to
- 16:59Speaker 1: keep the intensity up throughout.
- 17:01Speaker 2: The entire game. Unlike I've seen at Neyland, honestly.
- 17:04Speaker 3: And the better the sound systems are now, and everybody's
- 17:07Speaker 3: got a really high-level sound system, I feel like, in-house
- 17:10Speaker 3: in stadiums. helps add the noise because you can actually hear,
- 17:14Speaker 3: you know, spooky Rocky top and it cues the crowd
- 17:17Speaker 3: and you hear the defense music coming on the field
- 17:20Speaker 3: and before kickoff, you hear that cue. South Carolina is
- 17:24Speaker 3: very good at that with that rooster, you know, Gamecock
- 17:27Speaker 3: crowing they have on defense and they, they come out
- 17:30Speaker 3: to 2001 a space odyssey and it's super loud when
- 17:33Speaker 3: they do that. When I was in school, they're hunting
- 17:35Speaker 3: the loudest moment I can remember at Tennessee 2001 against
- 17:37Speaker 3: Georgia and Tennessee had trailed the whole game, and Travis
- 17:41Speaker 3: Stevens caught that screen pass, and it was this steady build.
- 17:45Speaker 3: It wasn't one pop, but you saw offensive linemen out
- 17:49Speaker 3: in front, a wall of blockers in front of him.
- 17:51Speaker 3: He's running on the sideline for that long touchdown to
- 17:54Speaker 3: take the lead with under two minutes left, and that
- 17:56Speaker 3: was as loud as I can remember being in that
- 17:58Speaker 3: stadium at that point. They end up losing that game,
- 18:00Speaker 3: of course, the Hobnell boot game after that. 2022, when
- 18:03Speaker 3: the kick goes through, was the pop and loud of
- 18:06Speaker 3: Tennessee winning 52-49 against Alabama, another one I can remember.
- 18:11Speaker 3: But the fact that it's that moment against Alabama in
- 18:14Speaker 3: that spot, going for a third straight win at Neyland Stadium,
- 18:18Speaker 3: it's just crazy to me that The game day environment
- 18:21Speaker 3: continues to improve. We didn't have a sound system when
- 18:24Speaker 3: I was in school. You couldn't hear the guy on
- 18:26Speaker 3: the speaker saying anything because it was so quiet in
- 18:30Speaker 3: the stadium. Now you hear everything. You can hear the
- 18:32Speaker 3: PA announcer saying touchdown Tennessee the moment Deshaun Bishop gets
- 18:35Speaker 3: in the end zone. It's all gotten better from a
- 18:38Speaker 3: technology standpoint and I just think the whole experience has
- 18:42Speaker 3: gotten better and better. The Knoxville experience has gotten better
- 18:45Speaker 3: and better.
- 18:46Speaker 2: It has.
- 18:46Speaker 3: I'm not going to sit around and be like, boy,
- 18:48Speaker 3: it was so much better when I was in school. No,
- 18:49Speaker 3: it wasn't. In the early 2000s, it was not better
- 18:52Speaker 3: than it is right now. I'll be the first to admit.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Everything is cleaner. There are nicer places to go. The
- 18:58Speaker 3: tailgating around the stadium is better than it was then.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I mean, we can be nostalgic about the way it was.
- 19:04Speaker 3: But to argue that it was better than it was now,
- 19:06Speaker 3: it's not. I think so much of what goes on
- 19:09Speaker 3: on game day and in the stadium, far superior to
- 19:12Speaker 3: what it was 15, 20 years ago.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Personally, the spooky Rocky top needs to tone down a bit.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Don't use it as much.
- 19:21Speaker 3: It needs to be more of a special entry.
- 19:23Speaker 2: The third down for what? That stuff.
- 19:25Speaker 1: That's just every single third down. Do something else, please.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Because it gets to a point where it's just so repetitive,
- 19:33Speaker 1: it's annoying.
- 19:34Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 19:35Speaker 1: When I first hear it, it's fine. But man, do
- 19:38Speaker 1: they play that thing a lot.
- 19:41Speaker 3: I'm okay with it if you use it for just
- 19:42Speaker 3: like a couple games. You know, and it's got to
- 19:45Speaker 3: be around Halloween. So third Saturday in October through the
- 19:48Speaker 3: Kentucky game. you can use it repetitively for third downs
- 19:52Speaker 3: for the Spooky Rockies up. But if we start hearing
- 19:55Speaker 3: that against Furman in the opener, then yeah, we've officially
- 19:59Speaker 3: jumped the shark on Spooky Rockies up. So I don't
- 20:02Speaker 3: think we're there yet. But you've got to be selective
- 20:05Speaker 3: about what games you use it. If you're going to
- 20:07Speaker 3: use it in a game, you might as well use
- 20:08Speaker 3: it freely. If the game's going well and it's close
- 20:12Speaker 3: or competitive or you're winning and it seems to be
- 20:14Speaker 3: getting the crowd hype on third down, then keep going
- 20:17Speaker 3: to it. But don't extend it past a couple of games.
- 20:20Speaker 3: So now I think you've got a two-game window. You
- 20:22Speaker 3: just played it. You can play it on November 7th
- 20:24Speaker 3: against Kentucky. That's it. That point on, I don't want
- 20:27Speaker 3: to hear it in late November against LSU. I don't
- 20:31Speaker 3: want to hear it again this season.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Kalen DeVore is certainly hearing it still. It's still ringing
- 20:37Speaker 1: in his head. There's no doubt about that. Coming up,
- 20:41Speaker 1: college basketball and the AP Top 25. Chad, you watched
- 20:48Speaker 1: a little hoops last night, I believe. We'll get into
- 20:50Speaker 1: that as well.
- 20:50Speaker 3: I watched a very small amount of hoops because when
- 20:53Speaker 3: I tuned in, Tennessee was down 38 points with about
- 20:56Speaker 3: 10 minutes left in the game to Duke. And I'm
- 20:58Speaker 3: looking at the court and I'm like, why are these
- 21:00Speaker 3: guys playing? Oh, I don't know any of these players
- 21:02Speaker 3: because everybody on the team is completely new for Tennessee.
- 21:05Speaker 3: So we'll discuss.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that's coming up on Hot and Wet Throw presented
- 21:08Speaker 1: by Hard Rock Bet. About to talk some hoops, college basketball.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Speaking of that, Nashville balls as well. You can get
- 21:14Speaker 1: the official gear with XXXY Athletics. Founded by Jennifer Say,
- 21:18Speaker 1: former national champion gymnast, former Levi's brand president. And she
- 21:21Speaker 1: walked away from the corporate job rather than saying something
- 21:24Speaker 1: that she didn't believe. And she started XXXY Athletics instead.
- 21:27Speaker 1: The mission, in their words, empower female athletes and take
- 21:30Speaker 1: a stand for fair competition. They call it the T
- 21:33Speaker 1: that launched a movement. This is real athletic apparel. It's
- 21:35Speaker 1: not just a slogan on a shirt, Jeff.
- 21:38Speaker 3: That's right. T's, trucker hats for Nashville Balls, available there.

- 21:43Speaker 3: sign up and free shipping over $ 100. xxxyathletics.com. That's xx-xyathletics.com.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Chad, you watched a little bit of Tennessee last night.
- 21:56Speaker 1: What do you make of the college basketball AP Top
- 22:00Speaker 1: 25 and where they have some of these teams ranked
- 22:03Speaker 1: based on expectation?
- 22:05Speaker 3: I make very little of it right now, to be
- 22:07Speaker 3: totally honest. First off, no one knows a thing other
- 22:11Speaker 3: than transfer portal rankings, recruiting rankings, who's coming back on.
- 22:15Speaker 3: There's just so many unknowns about it all right now
- 22:18Speaker 3: that I don't make much of anything of this. I'll
- 22:21Speaker 3: say I watched Duke last night, and they looked great
- 22:24Speaker 3: in just pounding Tennessee. So did Tennessee not.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Play their starters, or what happened here?
- 22:28Speaker 3: Tennessee right now is not the eighth-ranked team in the country.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Let me first say that. I also think looking in-state,
- 22:33Speaker 3: Vanderbilt is way too low. I think they're going to
- 22:35Speaker 3: be really good with Tyler Tanner. Tyler Tanner is preseason
- 22:38Speaker 3: SEC player of the year, possibly. They're going to be
- 22:41Speaker 3: a very good team. They're closer to top ten overall.
- 22:43Speaker 3: than they are back end of top 25. SEC is
- 22:47Speaker 3: going to be very good again. I think Tennessee's got
- 22:50Speaker 3: a chance to be very good as they round into form.
- 22:53Speaker 3: What happened last night was Terrence Hill Jr., who's their
- 22:55Speaker 3: top playmaker and point guard, went down four minutes into
- 22:58Speaker 3: the game with an ankle injury. Rumor is he's going
- 23:01Speaker 3: to be out four to eight weeks with a severe
- 23:04Speaker 3: ankle sprain. He was on crutches when he came back
- 23:06Speaker 3: to the bench. Troy Henderson, his backup, went down with
- 23:09Speaker 3: an ankle injury last night. So they had Marquise Clark,
- 23:14Speaker 3: who's not supposed to play this year, supposed to redshirt,
- 23:17Speaker 3: playing the entire game at point guard against Duke on
- 23:20Speaker 3: the road. Tyler Lundblad, who's one of their biggest, if
- 23:24Speaker 3: not their biggest, transfer from Belmont. He was the Missouri
- 23:27Speaker 3: Valley Conference Player of the Year. He shot like 47%
- 23:30Speaker 3: from three. He's yet to play. He had off-season back surgery.
- 23:35Speaker 3: He should be back for the season opener against Wofford
- 23:38Speaker 3: on November 3rd, but Tennessee was down a number of guys,
- 23:41Speaker 3: but don't excuse the fact that they weren't competitive in
- 23:43Speaker 3: that game. But Rick Barnes said it before the game.
- 23:45Speaker 3: He said, I would rather get exposed than win an
- 23:49Speaker 3: exhibition game. Because to get the lesson across to these guys,
- 23:52Speaker 3: he said, I still like this team, but they need
- 23:55Speaker 3: to get hammered. And they did against Xavier in the
- 23:58Speaker 3: second half. They led at halftime. They ended up losing
- 23:59Speaker 3: by 16 at home to Xavier. Then they get destroyed
- 24:03Speaker 3: on the road by Duke. So he's trying to get
- 24:05Speaker 3: their attention back. about how to play together as a team.
- 24:07Speaker 3: But it's all new guys. They've got to define their roles.
- 24:10Speaker 3: They've got to learn how to play with each other.
- 24:12Speaker 3: They're completely disconnected right now. I don't make much of it. Now,
- 24:15Speaker 3: if you get into late November, early December, and this
- 24:17Speaker 3: team hasn't improved at all with their tough non-conference schedule,
- 24:21Speaker 3: then you've got big issues coming up. If they lose
- 24:23Speaker 3: to Wofford in the first game, because the team that
- 24:26Speaker 3: took the court against Duke will lose to Wofford in
- 24:28Speaker 3: game number one in Knoxville, then I would start to
- 24:30Speaker 3: be concerned and sound the alarm bells. Not overly concerned
- 24:34Speaker 3: right now. But Hutton, Florida at number one, Duke number two,
- 24:37Speaker 3: Illinois number three, UConn number four, Arizona number five. UConn
- 24:42Speaker 3: played Michigan State, who's the sixth-ranked team, on the road
- 24:45Speaker 3: in an exhibition and won. And Danny Hurley had an
- 24:47Speaker 3: all-time quote postgame about not being thrilled with his team's performance,
- 24:52Speaker 3: but who cares because it's an exhibition. Anyway, that's what
- 24:56Speaker 3: we've got right now. Call me back in mid to
- 25:00Speaker 3: late December, and I'll be way more interested. in college basketball,
- 25:03Speaker 3: but it's, it's just tough to get excited about college
- 25:05Speaker 3: basketball in October.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Totally agree. Um, I will say though, Illinois is playing
- 25:10Speaker 2: North Carolina here coming up.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:13Speaker 2: At the corner. That, that's cool.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Like I'm thinking about the dome that's about to open
- 25:18Speaker 1: next spring. That could be a great spot for a,
- 25:21Speaker 1: a regular season tournament to open, to open things. If
- 25:25Speaker 1: you want, uh, just the, the main hub of easy
- 25:28Speaker 1: access to Nashville flights, all that stuff. I mean, uh, it's,
- 25:32Speaker 1: It's getting that at the arena. What if you brought
- 25:34Speaker 1: in a ton of, I say a ton, like, I
- 25:36Speaker 1: don't know, eight teams and just had the round robin
- 25:39Speaker 1: on ESPN?
- 25:40Speaker 2: I would attend that. That would be cool.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Well, and it's just all these teams play each other now.
- 25:46Speaker 3: All the top teams.
- 25:47Speaker 2: I know, it's great.
- 25:47Speaker 3: I mean, once you get into that club of– and
- 25:50Speaker 3: Tennessee's there in that club now because they've gone to
- 25:52Speaker 3: three straight Elite Eights and they're top 15 every year preseason.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Once you get into that club of, boy, if we
- 25:57Speaker 3: schedule this team, it's not going to hurt us. It
- 25:59Speaker 3: can only help us if we win. Right. Like you
- 26:02Speaker 3: want to play those teams that are going to give
- 26:04Speaker 3: you a huge challenge. And if you can get a
- 26:06Speaker 3: couple of big wins with that, it's only going to
- 26:07Speaker 3: help your NCAA tournament seed at the end of the year.
- 26:11Speaker 3: So all these teams play each other almost in a
- 26:13Speaker 3: round robin at this point. So we're going to get
- 26:15Speaker 3: some big time early season college basketball coming up in November.
- 26:20Speaker 3: I just let's get to November and start to look
- 26:22Speaker 3: out at some big matchups when they happen and what
- 26:24Speaker 3: those games look like. Tough to take a lot of
- 26:27Speaker 3: stock into what's happening right now in exhibition season.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Like the NBA opening last night.
- 26:31Speaker 3: I did watch a lot of the Sixers' Knicks, shockingly. Yeah,
- 26:35Speaker 3: it was a good game. LeBron James had 12 points.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Didn't really do much, but he was interviewed post-game. He's
- 26:41Speaker 3: kind of funny. They're like, what about you with this
- 26:44Speaker 3: new team? What's your perspective? He's like, about me? He
- 26:46Speaker 3: kind of jacked surprise. He's like, I mean, I'm not
- 26:49Speaker 3: very good right now, but I thought it was a
- 26:51Speaker 3: good game, intense, and good to come out of here
- 26:53Speaker 3: with a win. I thought he was pretty funny about
- 26:56Speaker 3: how he talked about his own play, but I mean...
- 27:00Speaker 3: Looking at LeBron James looking like Robert Parrish at his
- 27:03Speaker 3: age at this point in the league is just fascinating
- 27:06Speaker 3: to me. I'll be following that Philly story throughout the
- 27:10Speaker 3: year with LeBron and Jalen Brown and Joel Embiid and
- 27:15Speaker 3: how those guys mesh because that's a pretty cool– just
- 27:18Speaker 3: like New York was a cool story winning the title,
- 27:21Speaker 3: I think the Philadelphia 76ers will be the story this
- 27:24Speaker 3: year of can they get over the hump and win
- 27:27Speaker 3: that title, which has been many years for them.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Chad, of course, this man's name ends with a Y.
- 27:33Speaker 2: His name's Terry.
- 27:34Speaker 1: 64-year-old Richmond man is facing serious legal consequences after he
- 27:38Speaker 1: reportedly bound his wife to a chair with tape and
- 27:41Speaker 1: left her in the basement so he could watch a
- 27:43Speaker 1: football game upstairs without interruption.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Look at this dude.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Terry.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Terry Warden taken into custody late night after domestic disturbance,
- 27:54Speaker 1: according to Richmond police. Criminal complaints obtained by Virginia officers
- 27:59Speaker 1: arrived around 1130 to investigate. I guess he watched all
- 28:02Speaker 1: the games that day. Yeah. Officers said that there was
- 28:07Speaker 1: tape residue around both of the woman's arms. Do you
- 28:11Speaker 1: think that he just waited until that ball was ruled
- 28:13Speaker 1: incomplete and they didn't give the extra second in Notre
- 28:15Speaker 1: Dame BYU to go untape his wife? He thought, we
- 28:18Speaker 1: got to get to the end of this day first, honey.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Then I'll come let you up and we'll get you
- 28:21Speaker 1: something to eat, something to drink. But I've got to
- 28:23Speaker 1: see what happens in both this Florida State-Miami game and
- 28:26Speaker 1: BYU and Notre Dame.
- 28:28Speaker 3: This is wild. Here would be my advice to Terry.
- 28:31Speaker 3: My advice to Terry is, if your wife is that
- 28:35Speaker 3: annoying that you can't do anything but taper up to
- 28:39Speaker 3: a chair, better options would be, A, divorce your wife
- 28:44Speaker 3: and don't do this, or B, just leave the house.
- 28:48Speaker 3: What is she going to do? Get in your car,
- 28:50Speaker 3: go to a sports bar, go to a buddy's house,
- 28:53Speaker 3: watch football all day. Because if you're willing to tape
- 28:56Speaker 3: your wife to a chair, I doubt you fear the
- 28:58Speaker 3: repercussions of just leaving the house for the day and
- 29:01Speaker 3: making sure you can watch your college football that way.
- 29:04Speaker 1: While the officer wrote the criminal complaint, Ward stated he
- 29:08Speaker 1: did indeed tie his wife to a chair and place
- 29:11Speaker 1: her down in the basement. And then it goes on
- 29:15Speaker 1: to say, while his wife remained trapped downstairs, Ward went
- 29:18Speaker 1: back upstairs to watch the game in complete isolation.
- 29:24Speaker 3: I mean, amazing, amazing stuff. I also think, like, is
- 29:29Speaker 3: this the first time he's done something like this?
- 29:31Speaker 1: He just goes back to the game, just cheering. Like,
- 29:35Speaker 1: nothing ever happened.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Can we show Terry again? Let's look let's take a
- 29:39Speaker 3: let's take a glance at terry one more time yeah
- 29:42Speaker 3: in that photo look how blurry it is terry it's
- 29:45Speaker 3: 64 years old 64 it's like they took this on
- 29:48Speaker 3: a very humid day with a cell phone camera he's
- 29:50Speaker 3: also got a little smirk to him He's proud of
- 29:53Speaker 3: watching those games. Somebody has to wipe their camera lens
- 29:55Speaker 3: off when they take that photo of him.
- 29:57Speaker 2: He's going to be in.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Complete isolation as well in the cell, right? He's going
- 30:01Speaker 1: to love it. He looks like he's pleased. He's like, man,
- 30:04Speaker 1: I got to wait for him.
- 30:05Speaker 3: You would almost have to plead insanity if his wife
- 30:09Speaker 3: says this is the first time this has happened. 64-year-old man,
- 30:13Speaker 3: I'm assuming that they're not newlyweds, him and his wife.
- 30:16Speaker 3: I'm assuming at 64 they've been together for quite some time.
- 30:19Speaker 3: To snap at 64 years old, and tie your wife
- 30:23Speaker 3: to a chair so you can watch college football in
- 30:25Speaker 3: isolation feels like you may have mentally snapped. And that
- 30:29Speaker 3: would be, I'm not Clay Travis, and I'm not a
- 30:31Speaker 3: part of his law firm. But I think my criminal
- 30:33Speaker 3: defense would be insanity if this was the case. Either
- 30:37Speaker 3: that or this has happened a lot of times, and
- 30:39Speaker 3: it's just now being reported. But I can't imagine at
- 30:43Speaker 3: 64 being the time to decide, now's when I'm going
- 30:46Speaker 3: to tie my wife to a chair in the basement.
- 30:48Speaker 3: So I can go watch Tennessee, Alabama.
- 30:50Speaker 1: So the woman stated that it was around a 30
- 30:55Speaker 1: to 45 minute ordeal.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:00Speaker 3: No, that's not nearly as bad as I thought.
- 31:01Speaker 2: No, I thought it was like all night.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I don't want to side with him, but that's not
- 31:05Speaker 3: nearly as bad as I thought. Who do we think?
- 31:07Speaker 3: Is this like Alabama fan? I mean, we know where
- 31:09Speaker 3: he is.
- 31:10Speaker 2: But if he's an SEC fan, who is he rooting for?
- 31:14Speaker 1: The officers arrived at the scene around 11.30 p.m., so
- 31:17Speaker 1: this is Eastern time.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Remind me, where was he? Where did this happen, JT?
- 31:22Speaker 2: Virginia.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Virginia.
- 31:24Speaker 2: So I'm thinking East Coast. That was BYU, Notre Dame.
- 31:30Speaker 2: He could be a Notre Dame fan.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Notre Dame and Virginia, yeah. Maybe Florida State, Miami. I
- 31:36Speaker 3: don't know. I would think this is an SEC move, JT,
- 31:39Speaker 3: to your point, that it would be some sort of
- 31:42Speaker 3: SEC fan. It could also be somebody who really likes
- 31:44Speaker 3: to gamble on games that really needed to see if
- 31:48Speaker 3: somebody covered or not for 30, 45 minutes.
- 31:50Speaker 2: It really needed some peace and quiet.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Or maybe he's a big Tim Brando fan. He's watching
- 31:55Speaker 4: the late-night game of Brando.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Timmy B.
- 31:57Speaker 3: He's got Timmy B on. The late-night delight. Honey, pipe
- 32:01Speaker 3: down down there. I got Timmy B on the TV,
- 32:04Speaker 3: and he's telling me about the atmosphere here in Lawrence,
- 32:07Speaker 3: Kansas for K-State. I don't know what game Timmy B had.
- 32:10Speaker 3: I'm sure it was better than that. But I could
- 32:12Speaker 3: see that being the case too, JT. I don't, I just,
- 32:16Speaker 3: 64 years old, first off, we should go live from
- 32:19Speaker 3: his trial and be on the courtroom steps as he's
- 32:22Speaker 3: defending whatever's going on. We need more information. We need
- 32:25Speaker 3: his explanation about what happened. I need to know to
- 32:27Speaker 3: what level of annoyance she was being. Was she just
- 32:31Speaker 3: like trying to ask him a question? Here's the other
- 32:34Speaker 3: thing too that's great about all of our TVs now
- 32:37Speaker 3: in modern 2026. Pause it. You can pause live television.
- 32:41Speaker 2: The word he used was peace. He wanted to watch
- 32:44Speaker 2: football in peace.
- 32:47Speaker 3: I had a buddy, a good friend of mine, Aaron Beasley,
- 32:50Speaker 3: I grew up with. Our daughters play together on the
- 32:52Speaker 3: same seven-year-old softball team. And we were at a game
- 32:56Speaker 3: last night. And he's huge. He went to Tennessee. I
- 32:58Speaker 3: went to Tennessee. Big Vols fan. He's got three kids.
- 33:01Speaker 3: And he told a story. He said, right as Tennessee's
- 33:04Speaker 3: mounting the charge in the third quarter on Saturday, I
- 33:07Speaker 3: am just trying to watch the game. And he's got
- 33:10Speaker 3: a very young little boy. And the young little boy
- 33:14Speaker 3: is chasing the two daughters, got two older sisters, through
- 33:17Speaker 3: the house. And he slams the door to the outside
- 33:21Speaker 3: so hard, it breaks not one but two window panes
- 33:25Speaker 3: above the door, shatters them. Completely. And it's the loudest thing.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Shatters the window panes. And he's just like losing his
- 33:33Speaker 3: mind because Tennessee's driving to go up 19 to 10. Wow.
- 33:37Speaker 3: At this point, he's just trying to watch his balls
- 33:39Speaker 3: on the third Saturday in October. And now he's got
- 33:41Speaker 3: broken glass because his kid slammed the door too hard.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Every parent can relate to being there at some point.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Here's what I tend to do in those moments. I
- 33:49Speaker 3: press pause. I press pause. You can come right back.
- 33:53Speaker 3: And then you can catch up to it in real
- 33:54Speaker 3: time through commercials.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Like.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Terry, next time your wife's being annoying, if you get
- 34:00Speaker 3: a chance to ever be around her or within 100
- 34:02Speaker 3: feet of her ever again, just press pause. Press pause
- 34:05Speaker 3: before you tie her up.
- 34:08Speaker 1: The Bills now have two players suspended for spitting on
- 34:10Speaker 1: their opponent. That's one thing I've never thought of is
- 34:13Speaker 1: just spitting on someone.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Did Pac-Man Jones get signed to a coaching contract with
- 34:18Speaker 3: the Buffalo Bills?
- 34:19Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Pac-Man Jones, big spitter. Loved to spit on people.
- 34:23Speaker 2: It's obvious. It's so different than throwing a punch. You
- 34:26Speaker 2: know you're going to get caught. Yeah, they now have two.
- 34:29Speaker 2: It's C.J.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Gardner-Johnson, and now it's Sam Franklin. He says he will appeal.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I'm like, sorry, man. I don't know how you appeal that.
- 34:36Speaker 1: It's a one-game suspension. Coming up, it is time to
- 34:40Speaker 1: go for the bundle. That is straight ahead. Tony Withrow
- 34:44Speaker 1: presented by Hard Rock Bet.
- 34:46Speaker 4: This year, the party's getting even bigger.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Hey, there's Jay Boyd. They know me.

- 35:19Speaker 1: It is time to go for the bundle.
- 35:22Speaker 4: On first down, Smoker back in his own end zone,
- 35:24Speaker 4: going for the bundle.
- 35:26Speaker 3: He's got Bonner, who lays it out and catches the
- 35:29Speaker 3: ball down on the seven, and he's in for the touchdown.
- 35:32Speaker 3: He was not touched.
- 35:33Speaker 4: He was not touched by the defender, Nate Coggins. Jeff
- 35:37Speaker 4: Smoker is a touchdown-throwing inferno.
- 35:40Speaker 2: It's 57-49 Nashville.
- 35:44Speaker 1: RIP to the great Mark Howard, who we honor each
- 35:47Speaker 1: and every week going for the bundle.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Love it so much.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Chad, this week, I know we're confident in this game
- 35:53Speaker 1: because you and I both wanted to use this for
- 35:56Speaker 1: the bundle. Give me Kentucky minus 11.5 against Vanderbilt.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Why?
- 36:01Speaker 1: Because this isn't last year's Vandy. This is the old Vandy,
- 36:06Speaker 1: the Vandy.
- 36:06Speaker 2: That we knew.
- 36:07Speaker 1: They are currently 3-4 overall, winless in the conference. Meanwhile,
- 36:11Speaker 1: they're facing Kentucky, who's coming back home, five straight wins.
- 36:15Speaker 1: They can win gritty, they can win big, and they're going.
- 36:18Speaker 2: To win big.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I think this is one of those double the spread
- 36:21Speaker 1: type games against Vandy.
- 36:23Speaker 3: I love it. I'm going to go to JT here
- 36:25Speaker 3: first because I have a question for JT. JT, how
- 36:29Speaker 3: long is the Lane Kiffin video that I sent? Do
- 36:31Speaker 3: you know?
- 36:31Speaker 2: Do you have any idea?
- 36:33Speaker 3: I can give you 45 seconds. Okay, I want to
- 36:38Speaker 3: play this Lane Kiffin video. This video from his press conference,
- 36:42Speaker 3: because it plays into my pick on the parlay, Lane
- 36:44Speaker 3: Kiffin talked about relief syndrome and how it's a real
- 36:47Speaker 3: thing and how he was rooting for Auburn to win
- 36:50Speaker 3: the game because he knew they would have a better
- 36:52Speaker 3: chance at beating them if they won against Georgia. And
- 36:56Speaker 3: had they lost a close game, it would be tougher
- 36:58Speaker 3: to beat them. I buy into what Lane Kiffin is
- 37:01Speaker 3: talking about from a psychological standpoint. Give me LSU on
- 37:06Speaker 3: the road and Minus 7.5 against Auburn. I think this
- 37:10Speaker 3: is a double-digit win for the LSU Tigers over the
- 37:13Speaker 3: Auburn Tigers. I think there will be a bit of
- 37:16Speaker 3: relief syndrome. I think Auburn's got a talented defense. They
- 37:20Speaker 3: also just kicked off one of their best players on
- 37:23Speaker 3: defense this week who was suspended indefinitely before the Georgia game.
- 37:27Speaker 3: I don't think Auburn's that good. I think LSU, playing
- 37:31Speaker 3: for their lives on the road, give me the Tigers,
- 37:34Speaker 3: the Bayou Bengals, minus 7.5.
- 37:35Speaker 2: JT?
- 37:38Speaker 4: Guys, I'm going to go Ole Miss plus three and
- 37:40Speaker 4: a half. Ole Miss five and one. Got some momentum.
- 37:45Speaker 4: I've seen Texas a lot this year. I'm an Ohio
- 37:48Speaker 4: State fan. I think that Texas looked bad and Ohio
- 37:52Speaker 4: State looked even worse in that game early in the year.
- 37:54Speaker 4: I think that Tennessee, if they would have played anywhere
- 37:58Speaker 4: half as good as they played against Alabama, would have
- 38:00Speaker 4: smashed Texas with a good quarterback. Rebels obviously have some
- 38:04Speaker 4: advantages there. in the form of offensive firepower. They've been
- 38:08Speaker 4: good on defense. Texas, a tough place to play, but
- 38:12Speaker 4: I like Ole Miss. They're scoring a lot of points,
- 38:14Speaker 4: three and a half.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Do we happen to know just at first glance when
- 38:18Speaker 1: these kickoffs are happening? When are we going to know
- 38:20Speaker 1: about the bundle, Chad?
- 38:21Speaker 2: Do you know?
- 38:22Speaker 3: When the kickoffs are happening, are these games?
- 38:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, we know. Are these at night?
- 38:28Speaker 3: No, no, no, no. Hold on. I'll have all those
- 38:30Speaker 3: games for you here in just two seconds.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Okay, so I've played the parlay.
- 38:34Speaker 3: I know Kentucky Vandy's at night.
- 38:36Speaker 2: There we go. Okay.
- 38:37Speaker 3: LSU Auburn's at 11 a.m. Central Time.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:40Speaker 3: And Ole Miss Texas is 6.30. So two of them
- 38:43Speaker 3: are at night. Mine's early kickoff.
- 38:46Speaker 2: So we'll be sweating it with two games.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Well, you may not be sweating at all if LSU
- 38:51Speaker 3: doesn't take care of business.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Well, that's fair.
- 38:53Speaker 1: If we lose the first leg. We won't be sweating anything.
- 38:56Speaker 1: We'll just be paying our money to Hard Rock Bet.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I played the three-bet parlay here for the bundle. It's
- 39:02Speaker 1: plus $ 5.
- 39:03Speaker 2: 97 odds.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Bet $ 3 is what I did just to see what
- 39:06Speaker 1: it was. $ 20. 91 return for every bet that is exactly
- 39:11Speaker 1: what you saw on the screen. You can roll with us.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Go to hardrock.bet.com. Hardrock.bet.com. Take advantage of the promo offer.
- 39:20Speaker 1: $ 5 to get up to $ 500 in no sweat bets.
- 39:23Speaker 1: And then you can follow us on the bundle through
- 39:26Speaker 1: the promo. And if we hit, we'll hit.
- 39:28Speaker 2: We'll hit.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Big jt each week he's trying to take his name
- 39:32Speaker 3: out of the hat he doesn't want to pick him
- 39:34Speaker 3: because he's been so bad at this and our response
- 39:37Speaker 3: is absolutely not every time we should remind jt of
- 39:40Speaker 3: our record a year ago when we did things like
- 39:43Speaker 3: this because we picked parlays every single week. Tough ones.
- 39:46Speaker 3: And they would put a graphic up at our old
- 39:48Speaker 3: place against every other host and rider. And I'm thinking,
- 39:52Speaker 3: we're going with three and four-leg parlays.
- 39:55Speaker 2: We're trying to hit one parlay on all the seasons.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Yes, and we're taking long odds. And everybody's taking the
- 40:00Speaker 3: easiest possible way out of a two-leg parlay. And our
- 40:04Speaker 3: record's like one in 39. At one point, everyone else
- 40:07Speaker 3: is right around 500. But that one got us above ground.
- 40:09Speaker 3: But a lesson to JT, did we quit? No, we
- 40:12Speaker 3: didn't quit. Why? While we lose, we're not losers. This
- 40:17Speaker 3: is a lesson that I give to every little girl
- 40:19Speaker 3: that I coach. Just because you lost doesn't mean you're
- 40:22Speaker 3: a loser. It's how you handle the loss. JT, you're
- 40:26Speaker 3: a winner, my friend. Don't be a loser. Continue to
- 40:29Speaker 3: play the game. Continue to go with it. You're going
- 40:32Speaker 3: to start hitting. We're probably going to start missing. But
- 40:34Speaker 3: it's all going to leak up beautifully a few weeks
- 40:37Speaker 3: where we're going to go for the bundle and we're
- 40:38Speaker 3: going to nail it. I can guarantee it. JT, also,
- 40:42Speaker 3: you've been quitting on Furman. Don't you get these from
- 40:44Speaker 3: Todd Furman?
- 40:47Speaker 2: Guys, I started.
- 40:48Speaker 4: I got my first couple of bets from Todd Furman.
- 40:50Speaker 4: I can tell anybody that wants to watch that show.
- 40:53Speaker 4: It's a great show. They do a wonderful job. Just
- 40:56Speaker 4: don't take any gambling advice from that clown in Vegas.
- 40:59Speaker 3: That's right. That's a tough beat. Maybe you should move
- 41:04Speaker 3: to on tilt. I think Kelly and Ariel may have
- 41:06Speaker 3: a better winning percentage for you. And Joe?
- 41:09Speaker 1: On Tilt coming up after the Clay Travis show this afternoon. And,
- 41:12Speaker 1: of course, the next round coming up right after us
- 41:15Speaker 1: in just a couple of minutes. Chad, I forgot to
- 41:17Speaker 1: say this. Walking back home from Chappelle, I sprained my ankle.
- 41:21Speaker 1: I stepped off the curb, and I was looking at
- 41:23Speaker 1: my phone, and I hit like a drainage area.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Isn't it amazing, though, that you were deprived of your
- 41:29Speaker 3: phone for the two, three hours of the show or whatever?
- 41:32Speaker 2: Yeah, my phone was blowing up with emails.
- 41:33Speaker 3: Now I'm on the phone because I'm trying to catch up.
- 41:36Speaker 3: And I stepped off a curb and sprained my ankle.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I did.
- 41:38Speaker 1: And I got lucky that it wasn't worse. But I
- 41:41Speaker 1: was more embarrassed because there was a car at the
- 41:43Speaker 1: stop sign right in front of me.
- 41:45Speaker 2: They saw me. They were laughing at me.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Were you dragging your leg around like Bud Kilmer? I
- 41:51Speaker 3: was hobbled. At first, I was like, oh, I can
- 41:54Speaker 3: move my foot. It's not that bad. Halfway back on
- 41:56Speaker 3: the walk, that's when it really started to swell. I
- 41:57Speaker 3: was like, oh, this is going to be awful. I
- 41:59Speaker 3: took a bag of peas and put it on my
- 42:01Speaker 3: ankle last night. Any better this morning or did you
- 42:05Speaker 3: wake up sore?
- 42:05Speaker 2: I woke up sore. I'm fine now. I've been walking
- 42:08Speaker 2: around during the breaks.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's good. Yeah, it's not broken.
- 42:12Speaker 3: My foot is sore from walking seven miles this weekend
- 42:15Speaker 3: in Knoxville. But other than that, I'm tip-top. So good
- 42:18Speaker 3: to hear that the bag of frozen peas worked.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll be able to crutch next time you see me. Hey,
- 42:24Speaker 1: the next round coming your way right now. Follow us
