- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie Inn.
- 0:04Speaker 1: It's time right now for today's word. Stay anchored, Stay anchored.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Hebrews two and one says, so we must listen very
- 0:13Speaker 1: carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may
- 0:16Speaker 1: drift away from it. You know, one of the most
- 0:19Speaker 1: dangerous things about drifting is that it happens so quietly
- 0:24Speaker 1: that you hardly notice it. If you've ever watched children
- 0:27Speaker 1: playing in the ocean, you've probably seen it happen. They're laughing,
- 0:31Speaker 1: they're splashing in the waves, completely enjoying themselves in. After
- 0:34Speaker 1: a while, they look up and realize they're nowhere near
- 0:37Speaker 1: the shore.
- 0:39Speaker 2: They didn't intentionally move down the beach.
- 0:42Speaker 1: There wasn't a violent storm or a powerful wave that
- 0:45Speaker 1: swept them away. It was simply the constant pulling of
- 0:49Speaker 1: the current. Well, the same thing can happen spiritually. Most
- 0:52Speaker 1: people don't wake up one morning and decide to drift
- 0:55Speaker 1: away from God. It happens little by little, a mist, prayer, here,
- 1:00Speaker 1: elected time in God's word, There, a worship service, skift,
- 1:04Speaker 1: a compromise that seemed insignificant. Before long, what once felt
- 1:10Speaker 1: vibrant begins to feel distant life has a current of
- 1:14Speaker 1: its own. The pressures of work, family responsibilities, disappointments, distractions,
- 1:20Speaker 1: social media, financial concerns, and unexpected challenges can slowly pull
- 1:25Speaker 1: our hearts away from the things that matter most. Perhaps
- 1:28Speaker 1: you've drifted from the joy you once had. You used
- 1:32Speaker 1: to wake up expecting God to do great things, but
- 1:35Speaker 1: now you've settled into a routine. Maybe you've drifted into
- 1:39Speaker 1: discouragement after unanswered prayers. Maybe you've drifted into worry because
- 1:43Speaker 1: of circumstances you can't control.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Or perhaps you've drifted.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Into unforgiveness because someone deeply hurts you. The encouraging news
- 1:51Speaker 1: is this, if you can drift away, you can also return.
- 1:55Speaker 1: God never moves away from us. His love remains constant.
- 1:59Speaker 1: His eye always opens the moment we return back to him.
- 2:03Speaker 1: He meets us with grace, He meets us with mercy,
- 2:06Speaker 1: He meets us with fresh strength. The writer of Hebrews
- 2:10Speaker 1: reminds us to pay careful attention to the truth we received. Why,
- 2:14Speaker 1: because truth becomes the anchor that keeps us steady when life's.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Currents are trying to pull us off course.
- 2:21Speaker 1: An anchored ship may be rocking back and forth by
- 2:24Speaker 1: the waves, but it doesn't drift away when your heart
- 2:28Speaker 1: is anchored in God's promises. Disappointments won't steal your hope,
- 2:31Speaker 1: Delays won't destroy your faith, and difficulties won't define your future.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Make it a daily priority to stay connected to God
- 2:40Speaker 1: through prayer, through worship, through His words. God your heart,
- 2:44Speaker 1: feed your faith. Surround yourself with people who encourage you
- 2:47Speaker 1: to grow spiritually. Don't let the ordinary currents of life
- 2:51Speaker 1: carry you away from the extraordinary purpose that God has
- 2:55Speaker 1: for you. Today is a wonderful day to check your
- 2:58Speaker 1: spiritual comfass, reset your course, and anchor yourself once again
- 3:02Speaker 1: in the faithfulness of God. Oh Father, God, thank you
- 3:05Speaker 1: for being our firm foundation and our unshakable ancher. Forgive
- 3:09Speaker 1: us for the times we've allowed the distractions and pressures
- 3:12Speaker 1: of life to pull our attention away from you. Oh God,
- 3:16Speaker 1: draw our hearts close to yours again. Renew our passion
- 3:19Speaker 1: for your word, strength and our faith, and restore our joy.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Help us to remain anchored in your promises, so that
- 3:25Speaker 1: no circumstance, no disappointment, no distraction can cause us to
- 3:29Speaker 1: drip from.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Your purpose for our lives.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Oh God, we place our hope completely in you, knowing
- 3:34Speaker 1: that you are faithful and you will never let us
- 3:37Speaker 1: go in Jesus name. Come on, Jesus now, that's your
- 3:41Speaker 1: work for today. Take it applied to your everyday life,
- 3:43Speaker 1: and you continue to be encouraged and inspired.
- 3:45Speaker 2: It's your Early What He Praise Party. I am Sherry
