- 1:11Speaker 1: Julie Goldman, wearing beautiful shades of khaki green. Welcome back
- 1:17Speaker 1: to Juicy Scoop. We are getting ready for a fun weekend. Oh, yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 1: My God, that's around the corner.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I've been trying on all my, like, pastels.
- 1:24Speaker 5: See?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Like what to wear in the desert.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Because we are doing Agua Caliente, stand-up, live Juicy Scoop.
- 1:33Speaker 1: We just went through the topics, and guess what? We're
- 1:35Speaker 1: saving some for the live show. Sorry. Sorry, people. Too
- 1:38Speaker 1: juicy for the regular show. And it's Agua Caliente, and
- 1:42Speaker 1: I think it's sold out, but just go check because
- 1:46Speaker 1: they saved some tickets and then released some tickets, but
- 1:49Speaker 1: it's basically whatever. We are going to have fun, and...
- 1:54Speaker 1: I'm putting together different thoughts of outfits, too, and it
- 1:57Speaker 1: will be Palm Springs, bright and sunny, colorful, fun. Well,
- 2:03Speaker 1: how about you, Julie? So am I. I am, too.
- 2:07Speaker 4: You know, I've never worn anything but black doing stand-up,
- 2:10Speaker 4: but you know what?
- 2:12Speaker 3: We usually like to have you stand out, you know?
- 2:14Speaker 1: But maybe, Julie, you could just do a pop of something. Well,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I do have a linen pink dress.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I do.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Or maybe something like that.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Maybe I'll do my Palm Springs gentleman's attire. Like a
- 2:31Speaker 4: button down, like something such as.
- 2:34Speaker 1: But I don't want to take away.
- 2:35Speaker 6: We have never been to Aqua Caliente. Are we about
- 2:38Speaker 6: to like do some like penny slots after?
- 2:40Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 2:41Speaker 1: It's going to be, we're going to do a whole
- 2:42Speaker 1: fun thing. A whole fun thing. Cause this is Palm Springs.
- 2:46Speaker 1: And what if you went with like a white Leisure suit,
- 2:49Speaker 1: like 16 candles. Wait, was it not 16 candles? Pretty
- 2:54Speaker 1: in pink. James Spader. I wish I had that. I
- 2:57Speaker 1: was always obsessed that he was like 16 and dressed
- 3:01Speaker 1: like Miami Vice. Well, yeah. Wearing a full suit. Like
- 3:05Speaker 1: a loose. It was a loose suit. That's what rich
- 3:07Speaker 1: kids did in the 80s is they dressed like full-blown
- 3:10Speaker 1: adult men at school. You know what? If I had
- 3:12Speaker 1: a double-breasted white suit, I would wear it. I just
- 3:16Speaker 1: don't have it. No, you don't. But I wish I did.
- 3:18Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I have white pants, though. Well, I found so many
- 3:21Speaker 1: things because I moved to a new house and I
- 3:24Speaker 1: got to organize my closet and you guys came over
- 3:26Speaker 1: and you contributed to my closet. Oh, yeah, baby. Oh,
- 3:32Speaker 1: those look good. They look good. My first and only
- 3:35Speaker 1: pair of Gucci tennis shoes, which are so cute and
- 3:39Speaker 1: so comfortable.
- 3:39Speaker 6: It was a little awkward giving you your housewarming in
- 3:42Speaker 6: front of Peter. And it was just shoes for you.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 6: And then Julie handed Peter a case of water. And
- 3:48Speaker 6: we said congratulations on your new home, Peter.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yeah, because when they were coming, I was like, you know,
- 3:52Speaker 1: people are like, can I bring anything? I'm like, actually,
- 3:54Speaker 1: we are completely out of water. We've been moving for
- 3:56Speaker 1: two days. I'm ugly. There's crap everywhere. And I said
- 3:59Speaker 1: on my Patreon, I go, I just am not an organizer.
- 4:02Speaker 1: And I know there's people that just. live for it
- 4:05Speaker 1: luckily I had a friend help me come and do
- 4:08Speaker 1: the closet but I was like I wish I could
- 4:11Speaker 1: have a shot like an ozempic shot but for instead
- 4:14Speaker 1: of curbing your appetite it like motivated you to like
- 4:17Speaker 1: organize or whatever and people wrote me they're like Heather
- 4:21Speaker 1: that's Adderall so I was like oh okay well that
- 4:24Speaker 1: I've never taken I don't think I want to start
- 4:25Speaker 1: it right well we can get that for you.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Yeah we can easily I mean I have.
- 4:28Speaker 4: I mean yeah I think you have it in the
- 4:30Speaker 4: purse but I do I do have a prescription That's
- 4:34Speaker 4: for ADD.
- 4:35Speaker 1: But, you know, I mean, it can help you. It can.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It can help.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You will get laser focused. Well, it's going to be
- 4:43Speaker 1: a process, but I'm glad you guys could come over
- 4:45Speaker 1: and see my new digs. Beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Between the house in the desert and the new house
- 4:50Speaker 6: here in L.A., I don't know that we can remain
- 4:54Speaker 6: friends much longer.
- 4:56Speaker 1: It doesn't get weird. I mean— I hope it doesn't
- 4:58Speaker 1: get weird because I want you to still be my friend.
- 5:02Speaker 3: The luxury was remarkable.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yes.
- 5:07Speaker 6: And then we went around the neighborhood. We went into
- 5:10Speaker 6: some open houses.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Oh, yes. We're going to try to get you in there, too.
- 5:13Speaker 1: We're all going to manifest. We took the paperwork. Oh,
- 5:16Speaker 1: that's my favorite. Like, now, how much are you asking
- 5:20Speaker 1: for this? And we just went into it. We just
- 5:22Speaker 1: leaned in. You just go and you're like, oh, if
- 5:24Speaker 1: only it had one more bath bath.
- 5:28Speaker 3: I'm just like, you know what?
- 5:29Speaker 1: I'm done. This two-car garage. What about our golf cart?
- 5:33Speaker 1: It's selling us. Is there more space?
- 5:35Speaker 3: The garage just wasn't there.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it just wasn't there. So we really had to
- 5:39Speaker 1: keep looking. Well, it was all good, all fun. And
- 5:43Speaker 1: we're here to get.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Are you going to.
- 5:47Speaker 6: Be wearing more of your shit now that the closet
- 5:49Speaker 6: is the size of basically my single family home that
- 5:52Speaker 6: I currently live in.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I am really going to try to not buy stuff
- 5:58Speaker 1: for a while. I also used to have a thing
- 6:01Speaker 1: where I would get rid of dresses that I'd worn
- 6:03Speaker 1: on like in a photo or whatever in carpet. And
- 6:06Speaker 1: I'm like, no, now I think it's a flex to
- 6:08Speaker 1: rewear things.
- 6:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And if it fits, I'm going to rewear it. I'm
- 6:12Speaker 1: going to really try like to not buy clothes. stuff,
- 6:15Speaker 1: but that probably won't last because, but I'm going to
- 6:18Speaker 1: try to really hold back because I really have everything.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I have jeans that fit. I have plenty of shoes.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I have plenty of black t-shirts. Like I, come on, Heather,
- 6:28Speaker 1: get your fucking shit together.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Well, now that you'll see it.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Yes.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Now I can see it.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Well, you guys, I got sent this so many times.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Thank you. Juicy scoopers. Marlon Wayne says they plan to
- 6:40Speaker 1: make white chicks too. I have been talking about this
- 6:43Speaker 1: for a while. I have such great ideas of what
- 6:48Speaker 1: the two FBI agents, who's Sean and Marlon, should do
- 6:52Speaker 1: to infiltrate a white woman's world of 2025, what the
- 6:56Speaker 1: crime could be, what the jokes could be. None of
- 7:00Speaker 1: them have ever come on Juicy Scoop or answered my
- 7:06Speaker 1: pleas for the last 10 years. So now I am
- 7:10Speaker 1: putting it out there to the people. I just wrote
- 7:13Speaker 1: Kenan again today.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Who is the director of it and producer of it saying,
- 7:19Speaker 1: is this is true. I would like to be somehow
- 7:23Speaker 1: contributing consulting. Just let me just come and give you
- 7:27Speaker 1: my ideas. I don't, Like, yes, would I like to
- 7:30Speaker 1: have another part as the sales girl or someone else?
- 7:33Speaker 1: I would love it that the sales girl is still
- 7:35Speaker 1: working there. Right. Maybe, because that was my part, maybe
- 7:39Speaker 1: she got married to someone rich in the Hamptons. He went,
- 7:43Speaker 1: he's in prison for a Ponzi scheme and she's back
- 7:45Speaker 1: working at the store. I can think of everything.
- 7:47Speaker 3: That's right.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I can think of everything. I can think of where
- 7:50Speaker 1: the other girls are. I can think of the crimes.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I can think of how to put it in pop culture.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I can come up with everything. Please, please. I want
- 7:57Speaker 1: to work on this movie and hang out with you guys.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Get to work, Juicy Scoopers. Send the clip to them.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Demand it. Demand it.
- 8:05Speaker 6: You're the only person who's been talking about white chicks
- 8:07Speaker 6: in the last decade. That's the only reason this is happening.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Thank you. I've been putting it out there and putting
- 8:12Speaker 1: it out there that I have the ideas and everything
- 8:14Speaker 1: of how funny this could be. I think... Five years
- 8:18Speaker 1: ago when people would ask me, I think they and
- 8:21Speaker 1: myself felt it's too volatile of a time with, you know,
- 8:25Speaker 1: transgender and Americans that are, you know, transitioning and all
- 8:28Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. All of it. But now I
- 8:31Speaker 1: feel like, no, people are going to go get why
- 8:33Speaker 1: it was funny. That it was making fun of the
- 8:36Speaker 1: things that white women do. And we have never had
- 8:40Speaker 1: a problem with it. And therefore, that is what the
- 8:43Speaker 1: joke is about. It's about white women and the stuff
- 8:46Speaker 1: that we do and find important. And we love being
- 8:50Speaker 1: made fun of. Come on. Love it.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Now, didn't you say that the reason they had done
- 8:54Speaker 6: it was because of the makeup?
- 8:56Speaker 1: I think that was a big part of it. I
- 8:57Speaker 1: just remember they were saying, like, literally they were getting
- 9:00Speaker 1: two hours of sleep because they would have to, like,
- 9:02Speaker 1: finish at, like, 1 a.m. And then their call time
- 9:05Speaker 1: was 3.30. And they'd just be like, because the makeup.
- 9:08Speaker 2: And all that.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So I don't—I'm thinking there's hopefully some easier way to
- 9:12Speaker 1: do some of those things.
- 9:13Speaker 6: Well, Marlon Wayans— Didn't I like love this movie that
- 9:18Speaker 6: he recently did where he plays like a million characters?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Love.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I tweeted him and.
- 9:22Speaker 6: He retweeted it like I thought it was so funny.
- 9:25Speaker 3: And he wears a ton of makeup in that.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I think there's probably. I mean, I have literally
- 9:30Speaker 1: seen like TikTok people put on like a weird mask and.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And it like, and they're walking around and it looks
- 9:38Speaker 1: like a real person. Like, I think that if they can,
- 9:41Speaker 1: I think that's why they, I think they have found
- 9:43Speaker 1: out a way or figured out that part of it.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And that is why they're agreeing to even consider it again.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And so that's my guess. But like I said, I
- 9:52Speaker 1: still have the same phone number. you guys rick alvarez
- 9:57Speaker 1: also producer i have the same phone number you can
- 10:00Speaker 1: call me get the original band together you need to
- 10:02Speaker 1: be part of it yeah and dm this bitch you
- 10:04Speaker 1: know she's on there yeah i know i just want
- 10:06Speaker 1: to go i just want to go over to keenan's
- 10:08Speaker 1: house do it have him you know keen i want
- 10:10Speaker 1: to take two things about keenan that are very juicy
- 10:13Speaker 1: one when i worked on his late night talk show
- 10:15Speaker 1: he was the first person i saw That took his
- 10:17Speaker 1: salad lunch, put the dressing in, put the lid on
- 10:20Speaker 1: and shook it. It wasn't the Kardashians. It was Kenan
- 10:24Speaker 1: in 1997. Okay. He started that. Also, now people are
- 10:29Speaker 1: going to really freak out about this one. He is
- 10:32Speaker 1: the first person that said we didn't land on the moon. Whoa.
- 10:37Speaker 2: In 1997.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I go, what? He goes, look at it. Look at
- 10:39Speaker 1: the way the flag was. He brought up all the things.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It was a studio. There's no way. Wow. And I
- 10:45Speaker 1: was just like, never heard anyone talk about it not
- 10:49Speaker 1: being possibly real. And I used to say that. I'd
- 10:51Speaker 1: be like, I don't know that we landed on the moon.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Everyone was like, what are you talking about? And now everyone,
- 10:54Speaker 1: there's a movie made about it. I'm telling you, in 1997,
- 10:57Speaker 1: he sat in that writer's room and said, we did
- 10:59Speaker 1: not land on the moon. That was in a studio. Wow.
- 11:02Speaker 1: He never wanes. Call me.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Okay?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Call me. Call her. I'm not. Okay, so last night
- 11:09Speaker 1: was a SAG Awards. And I have not seen this movie,
- 11:13Speaker 1: Last Showgirl. I think I will love it. It's like
- 11:15Speaker 1: about an old showgirl. It's Pamela Anderson. Like kind of
- 11:19Speaker 1: it's her last show of like a big, long-running thing
- 11:21Speaker 1: in Vegas. And she's been on this thing for the
- 11:25Speaker 1: last year where she goes to fashion shows. She goes
- 11:28Speaker 1: to big red carpet events with not a speck of
- 11:30Speaker 1: makeup on. She doesn't fill in her brow. She doesn't
- 11:33Speaker 1: put on a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. She doesn't put
- 11:37Speaker 1: on a chapstick.
- 11:40Speaker 3: And I don't know.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I've had a couple of people send it to me
- 11:43Speaker 1: and they're like, I think we're good. I think we're
- 11:46Speaker 1: over this now. Listen, it's her prerogative. She's still great looking.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It's saying something. But this is Juicy Scoop. You can disagree. But.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I would like to see some concealer. Yeah, something. You're
- 12:00Speaker 1: in a gown. I mean, you're in a gown.
- 12:02Speaker 3: The men are wearing makeup. I guarantee you, whatever man
- 12:04Speaker 3: was there had makeup on.
- 12:05Speaker 5: Yes.
- 12:05Speaker 6: So it's fine when she's dressed down or she's wherever around.
- 12:09Speaker 6: But when you're in a gown, I mean, it just
- 12:11Speaker 6: sort of calls for, she did her hair.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Why are we doing her hair? I was just going
- 12:14Speaker 1: to say, if you do your hair. Why are you
- 12:16Speaker 1: dyeing your hair if you can't put on a tinted blush?
- 12:19Speaker 3: And why are you coloring it? I mean, curling it.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and coloring it.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah, both.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So you're not like completely, yeah. It's always the kind
- 12:26Speaker 1: of things when people will say like, oh, you know,
- 12:28Speaker 1: if God wanted you to have, you know, whatever, you
- 12:32Speaker 1: would have had that nose. No, God made plastic surgeons.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And made like eyebrow pencils. And I'm sure there was
- 12:37Speaker 1: a time when braces first started where people in those
- 12:40Speaker 1: days were walking around and going, you heard Mildred. Those
- 12:43Speaker 1: weren't her original teeth. They used to be crooked when
- 12:46Speaker 1: I knew her, you know. Same thing with dyeing your hair.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Same thing with back in a million years ago when
- 12:51Speaker 1: they would like create lipstick out of blood of– whatever
- 12:54Speaker 1: villagers i don't know exactly but it is it's it's
- 12:57Speaker 1: okay you know i mean i think it was a
- 13:00Speaker 1: good idea because it it put her sort of back
- 13:04Speaker 1: on the mat like we were all like oh okay
- 13:05Speaker 1: and then she got this.
- 13:06Speaker 6: Movie um now is it yeah go ahead but now
- 13:10Speaker 6: i mean yeah i'm like a little fatigued of it
- 13:11Speaker 6: because listen she is the victim of the over tweezing
- 13:15Speaker 6: you know play playmate look and.
- 13:19Speaker 3: You know That sucks.
- 13:21Speaker 1: She's got to fill it in. You know what I mean?
- 13:23Speaker 1: It sucks for her. It does.
- 13:25Speaker 3: But she's got to fill that in now.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I also wonder if because this did such a thing,
- 13:30Speaker 1: is it one of those things just like when you're like,
- 13:33Speaker 1: you know, one of those couples, couple goals, you know,
- 13:36Speaker 1: like Will and Jada and they used to dress like
- 13:38Speaker 1: and then we find out they actually fuck around and
- 13:41Speaker 1: actually might hate each other and they're probably both narcissists.
- 13:44Speaker 1: It's like But they probably at one point were like, well,
- 13:47Speaker 1: we can't get divorced like 10 years ago because we
- 13:49Speaker 1: have this. So I wonder, now she's like, well, yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 1: would I like my friend to come over and, you know,
- 13:55Speaker 1: put a little eyeliner on and maybe some mascara. But
- 13:58Speaker 1: now I've done this. Now I can't go back. Now
- 14:00Speaker 1: I'm the poster child of like aging proudly and makeup.
- 14:06Speaker 6: If makeup made you look younger, I'd be wearing 10
- 14:09Speaker 6: times more than I am now. And I'm wearing 10
- 14:10Speaker 6: times a lot of makeup.
- 14:12Speaker 3: But I don't think she can age gracefully and.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not about looking younger. I don't know what
- 14:17Speaker 1: it is.
- 14:18Speaker 4: You know, she was making a statement about being a
- 14:20Speaker 4: sex product and like being used and she had all,
- 14:23Speaker 4: you know what I mean?
- 14:24Speaker 1: Like she was Pamela Anderson and people like just, but wait,
- 14:27Speaker 1: what if we found an old photo of Julie and
- 14:29Speaker 1: it was full glam? Like at like 26, really? There's one.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Have you ever had like fake lashes put on?
- 14:36Speaker 5: Yes.
- 14:37Speaker 6: She played Mariah Carey on her sketch show. And she
- 14:40Speaker 6: looks good. She's got an hourglass fig.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Okay, can you please... I did drag you. There is
- 14:47Speaker 1: a picture out there floating around of me in full drag.
- 14:50Speaker 1: As a girl.
- 14:51Speaker 3: It's not as good as Mariah Carey, though.
- 14:52Speaker 1: It's more of a character, but I'm in full drag. And...
- 14:56Speaker 1: I did Mariah Carey was the whole thing. That was, like, real. Yeah. Wait,
- 14:59Speaker 1: we have to show that photo at the live show.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You have to find it. I can find it. But, like,
- 15:02Speaker 1: when you did it, I mean, is it ever anything
- 15:05Speaker 1: that you want to, like, experience again? Absolutely not. The
- 15:09Speaker 1: last time I wore a dress for real was at
- 15:11Speaker 1: my prom.
- 15:11Speaker 4: It was a nightmare. It was a living hell. And
- 15:14Speaker 4: I hate wearing makeup. My face literally rejects makeup. I
- 15:18Speaker 4: put it on for two seconds and it goes away.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I do her makeup. You do have good skin probably
- 15:21Speaker 1: because you don't wear makeup. I do her makeup.
- 15:23Speaker 6: I did for People's Couch, Vanderpump, every time. Even the
- 15:27Speaker 6: most recent time, probably for an audition or something. I
- 15:30Speaker 6: do boy rocker makeup.
- 15:32Speaker 1: She immediately starts to wipe it off.
- 15:34Speaker 3: That's why I'm just like, I'm not.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I mean, I don't mean to, but I do touch
- 15:39Speaker 1: my face a lot.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:40Speaker 4: But my face just rejects it.
- 15:42Speaker 1: It's weird. And I don't like it. It's uncomfortable. I
- 15:44Speaker 1: don't feel normal. I feel weird. I don't feel... In
- 15:47Speaker 1: a dress, I look like a man in a dress. Yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 1: You want to be comfortable. You know what I mean? Well,
- 15:52Speaker 1: you know what? If this is where she's comfortable, she's comfortable.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I mean, she's certainly got a perfect nose. She doesn't
- 15:57Speaker 1: have to shadow her nose or anything. I just was like, hmm,
- 16:00Speaker 1: just kidding. She's gorgeous. Now, Demi Moore has been killing
- 16:02Speaker 1: it this season, but I was thinking she's looking... very
- 16:06Speaker 1: thin a little maybe it's slightly too thin i can't
- 16:10Speaker 1: i know people like i can't believe heather's talking about
- 16:12Speaker 1: people's body it's a red carpet it's dresses it's outfits
- 16:16Speaker 1: she was she's starring in a movie called substance that
- 16:18Speaker 1: is about a woman trying to stay thin young and
- 16:20Speaker 1: beautiful she certainly has achieved it i love all her
- 16:24Speaker 1: dresses that brad gorgeski he styled her she looks amazing
- 16:29Speaker 1: shout out brad But like I said, that was one
- 16:32Speaker 1: of those movies that I loved the first two thirds
- 16:34Speaker 1: and hated the last third. It was so gross.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Wow.
- 16:37Speaker 1: That thing took a turn. Yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yeah. Wow.
- 16:40Speaker 1: It took a turn.
- 16:42Speaker 6: I always think like, imagine like 2010, how absolutely hardcore
- 16:48Speaker 6: that would not have been nominated on any level.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Not a single person in it. Not the movie.
- 16:54Speaker 1: The substance you mean.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 6: Maybe it would have gotten special effects.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 16:58Speaker 6: But it's crazy where we've come, where there's just industry.
- 17:01Speaker 6: There's just no movies or like.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, I liked it.
- 17:06Speaker 3: I enjoyed it. I'm super happy for her. By the way,
- 17:08Speaker 3: did Pamela Anderson, I mean, I did want her to win.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Did she win? Did we know?
- 17:12Speaker 1: I don't, no, I don't know. No, I don't think
- 17:14Speaker 1: she won. I think we would have seen if she won. Well,
- 17:16Speaker 1: that's too bad. Did the Amelia Perez- Ugh. Wind? Anything?
- 17:21Speaker 1: Have you guys seen that one?
- 17:23Speaker 5: Yes.
- 17:23Speaker 3: We did vote. Did you vote? Because we're all in sack.
- 17:25Speaker 1: No, I didn't vote.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Oh, that's my only thing I get to do.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:29Speaker 3: So I was like, Julie, get on. And then we
- 17:32Speaker 3: were just like, what are you going to do? Well,
- 17:33Speaker 3: I'm going to do this.
- 17:34Speaker 1: What are you going to do?
- 17:34Speaker 3: And then we just did.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Who did you vote for best actress then?
- 17:39Speaker 3: We probably did Pamela Anderson.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I think we did Pamela Anderson. We hadn't even seen
- 17:41Speaker 1: the movie. But I'll tell you what I didn't vote
- 17:43Speaker 1: for is Amelia fucking Perez. Well, I don't think she
- 17:47Speaker 1: came because I've been following it. I don't think she
- 17:49Speaker 1: came to the BAFTAs. Netflix said, we're not paying for anything. Like,
- 17:53Speaker 1: you're going to have to do a rideshare Uber. We
- 17:55Speaker 1: are not paying for anything. And I think even when
- 17:57Speaker 1: they showed her photo, it was like weird, like two claps,
- 18:01Speaker 1: like someone not realizing, oh, we're not supposed to clap
- 18:02Speaker 1: for her. So I don't think she's going to win
- 18:04Speaker 1: because she wrote the hateful tweets not that long ago.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Not that long ago. And like, not just hateful towards
- 18:10Speaker 1: one group, but towards everybody, including women. Right. Yeah. Which
- 18:15Speaker 1: is weird. Yeah. Also, the movie sucked. It was terrible. Awful.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I started it on the plane, which I'm usually very
- 18:22Speaker 1: forgiving on a plane. I stopped after the first song
- 18:25Speaker 1: and went and watched old Sex and the City episodes.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I mean, when you can't even... And I will watch anything.
- 18:32Speaker 4: And I like a musical. I can get into a musical.
- 18:35Speaker 4: But this was like... Like, what kind of thing do
- 18:39Speaker 4: you want? I want a sex change.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Where do you want it? I want a man to
- 18:43Speaker 1: a woman. It was so sophomoric and bad. So why
- 18:48Speaker 1: do you think it was nominated for like 20 things?
- 18:51Speaker 4: I think that there were parts of it. We went
- 18:53Speaker 4: into a deep dive in it on our podcast. But
- 18:55Speaker 4: I will say this. I think that it was trying
- 18:58Speaker 4: to do something.
- 18:59Speaker 1: It's on the pulse of a moment. It's, you know.
- 19:03Speaker 4: It also did have moments of kind of cool, like,
- 19:07Speaker 4: visual times.
- 19:10Speaker 1: However, I think that, you know, what it was doing was.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Just, like, trying to, like, hitch its wagon on something
- 19:24Speaker 4: that it didn't really completely think through.
- 19:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Like in a lot of, you know, trans people weren't
- 19:29Speaker 1: into it a lot.
- 19:30Speaker 4: It just wasn't, it didn't hit the mark the way
- 19:33Speaker 4: that it was supposed to.
- 19:34Speaker 1: It had, did it have moments? Yes. But did it
- 19:36Speaker 1: miss the mark more?
- 19:37Speaker 5: Yes.
- 19:37Speaker 1: It just missed the mark. It was like, it was
- 19:39Speaker 1: like a kid made it. It was like.
- 19:42Speaker 3: But it wasn't getting panned until the tweets came out.
- 19:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I think because people were afraid to say anything and
- 19:47Speaker 1: now they're like, oh, she's, she's an asshole um okay
- 19:52Speaker 1: so here are these this couple who's becoming a lookalike
- 19:57Speaker 1: ariana grande and her boyfriend what's his name I don't remember.
- 20:00Speaker 1: But he looks like her brother. We did vote for her. No,
- 20:01Speaker 1: he looks just like her brother. And they look so
- 20:04Speaker 1: much alike. You know, so they're morphing into each other
- 20:07Speaker 1: at a young age. And she looks so different than, like,
- 20:11Speaker 1: what she used to look like. She's changed her look
- 20:13Speaker 1: a lot. But I did see The Wicked. I think
- 20:17Speaker 1: I've talked about it. The Wicked.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:21Speaker 1: We voted for her for best comedy. I had a
- 20:24Speaker 1: whole other storyline I put out. I wrote a whole
- 20:26Speaker 1: other script. For Wicked. For Wicked. Oh, for the witches.
- 20:29Speaker 1: What I would have liked to have been. And then
- 20:32Speaker 1: people were like, yeah, but you haven't seen the second half.
- 20:35Speaker 1: And then it gets really good. I go, well, I
- 20:36Speaker 1: don't care. I thought of a better idea. In the book.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I thought they should have been real sisters. I thought
- 20:42Speaker 1: they should have been real sisters. So I already went
- 20:45Speaker 1: through it, but I had a much better idea for Wicked. But,
- 20:47Speaker 1: you know, they had to stick with what was originally written.
- 20:49Speaker 1: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 20:52Speaker 1: for it?
- 20:53Speaker 3: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with.
- 20:55Speaker 1: They have more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 20:58Speaker 1: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 21:00Speaker 1: It's Dunaidial.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Where?
- 21:04Speaker 1: Dunaidial.
- 21:05Speaker 3: There's an accent on the E.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Do you mean... Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 21:10Speaker 6: Lift?
- 21:11Speaker 5: Please.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Are you going past Kimmage?
- 21:13Speaker 2: Oh, Kimmage.
- 21:15Speaker 5: No.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Dundale Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 21:20Speaker 5: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 21:23Speaker 5: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 21:26Speaker 5: have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have found a
- 21:30Speaker 5: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Life is one long lesson of chaos. I'm heading to
- 21:37Speaker 1: the Emmys, and I have police complaints filed against me.
- 21:39Speaker 3: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 21:42Speaker 3: what would you do if it was given back?
- 21:44Speaker 5: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 21:47Speaker 5: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 21:49Speaker 1: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 21:51Speaker 1: home dad.
- 21:52Speaker 3: What happens next? When I came in, he started crying.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 21:59Speaker 5: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 22:02Speaker 5: happens next.
- 22:03Speaker 3: I decided to risk it all.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I realized how valuable every day was. You're worth the work. Listen, Dara,
- 22:08Speaker 1: I'm not going to pull punches. You can use your
- 22:10Speaker 1: voice even if it's shaped.
- 22:11Speaker 5: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 22:26Speaker 1: Okay. I had Carol Radziwill on my show. Okay. And,
- 22:31Speaker 1: you know, she was really good friends with her cousin-in-law
- 22:36Speaker 1: kind of a thing. So she was married to JFK Jr.
- 22:39Speaker 1: 's first cousin, Radziwill. So their moms were, you know,
- 22:43Speaker 1: Jackie and Lee Radziwill. So they were like best friends,
- 22:47Speaker 1: first cousins. And she also became very close with Carolyn
- 22:51Speaker 1: Bessette and wrote the book What Remains. And so we
- 22:54Speaker 1: talked about that because Ryan Murphy is doing a whole
- 22:57Speaker 1: thing called The American Love Story on that time up
- 23:01Speaker 1: until their death and stuff. And the paparazzi and him
- 23:04Speaker 1: riding around his bike shirtless with a beret. Now, she
- 23:07Speaker 1: told me, I think that's one of those weird things
- 23:09Speaker 1: where people say you remember the guy from the Monopoly
- 23:13Speaker 1: with a monocle, but he really doesn't have one. I
- 23:16Speaker 1: don't think he rode his bike around with a beret.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I think he was shirtless a lot riding his bike around,
- 23:21Speaker 1: and I think he wore a lot of berets. But
- 23:23Speaker 1: I don't think he ever wore a beret and was
- 23:25Speaker 1: shirtless in New York. But my whole point was, the
- 23:28Speaker 1: guy liked attention. He liked attention. And that's okay. And
- 23:33Speaker 1: she didn't, Carolyn. And that was like the paparazzi. Anyway,
- 23:37Speaker 1: so I said, I think you are going to be featured... Carol,
- 23:42Speaker 1: in something, or your book could become more of a show,
- 23:45Speaker 1: maybe about the two girls, which she's working on maybe
- 23:48Speaker 1: being a play. So I said, who should play her?
- 23:50Speaker 1: So this one, Bridget Medler, someone said that she's a
- 23:55Speaker 1: former Disney person and she could be her, but also
- 23:59Speaker 1: I really think it should be Leighton Meister. Meister. Meister.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I think she could play Carol.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Love Leighton Meister.
- 24:08Speaker 1: In the 90s, so this was a photo I found
- 24:10Speaker 1: of her from her Instagram where I'm like, that's sort
- 24:13Speaker 1: of a 90s outfit.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:15Speaker 6: I mean, and Leighton Meester is lurking around the edges
- 24:17Speaker 6: of consciousness because of Blake Lively because they were on
- 24:20Speaker 6: Gossip Girl together. And Leighton Meester supposedly was, along with
- 24:24Speaker 6: Scarlett Johansson, were the only two who just classy and
- 24:29Speaker 6: kept it quiet, even though they supposedly hate Blake Lively.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Oh, during the Gossip Girl days? No, during. Or now?
- 24:36Speaker 5: Now.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Now. Oh, well, the old clips are, you know, fascinating.
- 24:40Speaker 1: And there was some clip of them doing a panel
- 24:43Speaker 1: or something. And Blake Lively says something about being born
- 24:49Speaker 1: in a cage or something. She goes, well, some of
- 24:51Speaker 1: us were. And I guess Leighton's mom gave birth to
- 24:55Speaker 1: her behind bars. And she said that on stage. I
- 25:00Speaker 1: know that she had a joking way. That is probably
- 25:03Speaker 1: the meanest thing I've seen out of all the stuff,
- 25:06Speaker 1: out of all the dumb clangy jewelry and talking in
- 25:09Speaker 1: word salad. That's probably the worst thing I saw. But
- 25:12Speaker 1: here is the Hollywood Reporter cover of Blake versus Beldoni.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And the minute I saw it, I was like, wow,
- 25:19Speaker 1: she is not going to like the way her face
- 25:22Speaker 1: looks in this. They made it like, again, she's like
- 25:26Speaker 1: her character cartoon has very little makeup. The lips look thin.
- 25:31Speaker 1: The face looks long. The nose doesn't look as perky.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And we've all had a caricature done in our life.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I came across one in the move with Peter and I.
- 25:42Speaker 1: And it's just like, just so ugly. Cheeks and long chins.
- 25:47Speaker 3: I was like, why do I have horse teeth?
- 25:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Also, why am I two feet tall and look like
- 25:53Speaker 1: Danny DeVito?
- 25:54Speaker 3: We looked like Danny DeVito. Where did you get it?
- 25:58Speaker 4: I literally put me in a vest with a bow
- 26:00Speaker 4: tie and looked like Danny DeVito.
- 26:02Speaker 6: We got it in Spain, in Barcelona, on that long
- 26:07Speaker 6: tourist street.
- 26:09Speaker 1: And we were like, let's do it.
- 26:11Speaker 6: And then we get it back and we're just horrified.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Horrified. Disgusting. I did it like at Magic Mountain, Six
- 26:20Speaker 1: Flags when I was a little kid. Hated it then.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I have never liked a cartoon drawing.
- 26:25Speaker 5: No.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Ever. Because it always like.
- 26:27Speaker 6: Well, they put the pictures of celebrities and they make
- 26:30Speaker 6: the celebrities look attractive. They exaggerate like the more beautiful
- 26:34Speaker 6: features of celebrities. So they'll make guys look like Bo
- 26:37Speaker 6: Honks or like Marilyn Monroe. And so you're thinking they're
- 26:40Speaker 6: going to like accentuate you and make you better looking.
- 26:42Speaker 1: And they don't.
- 26:43Speaker 5: No, no.
- 26:43Speaker 6: And then you take it and you're like, and like
- 26:46Speaker 6: you swear Julie's like on a stool next to me
- 26:48Speaker 6: with like little useless legs.
- 26:49Speaker 1: And I'm like, why are you on a stool next
- 26:51Speaker 1: to me?
- 26:51Speaker 4: I look like a leprechaun, like an Italian leprechaun with
- 26:56Speaker 4: a mustache.
- 26:57Speaker 1: She's holding a slingshot with a phone. And it's supposed
- 27:01Speaker 1: to be like a David and Goliath thing where they're
- 27:04Speaker 1: making her the David and him the Goliath, which they
- 27:07Speaker 1: thought it should be switched. And then he's holding the book.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It ends with us.
- 27:12Speaker 4: And this is even worse, by the way, as a character,
- 27:15Speaker 4: because they're not even making them into caricatures.
- 27:17Speaker 1: They're making that somebody who is.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Like, this is what I think these two people look like.
- 27:21Speaker 1: He looks great. He looks better. I'm like, who's that
- 27:24Speaker 1: hot guy? His nose looks like shorter and better. Hers
- 27:28Speaker 1: looks longer.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Like, no.
- 27:30Speaker 1: So she supposedly not happy with it. And she's slingshotting
- 27:34Speaker 1: a cell phone at him. He's holding the book. So
- 27:37Speaker 1: the latest is, did Taylor Swift have anything to do
- 27:42Speaker 1: with hiring Isabella, who is the young version of Blake
- 27:48Speaker 1: in the movie? So there is a video and Justin says,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I found this girl, we auditioned her, I thought she
- 27:54Speaker 1: was great. I brought over her tape to Blake and
- 27:58Speaker 1: Taylor was there and they both were like, oh my God,
- 28:00Speaker 1: she's perfect. And she really was a good casting match
- 28:02Speaker 1: for her to be the younger Blake, like the teenage version.
- 28:06Speaker 1: And so that so that's so she was involved besides
- 28:11Speaker 1: giving her song, besides being there when they rewrote the
- 28:14Speaker 1: scene of the rooftop scene where she is like, wait,
- 28:19Speaker 1: you're a neurosurgeon. Oh, hey, you're serious. Like the rooftop
- 28:25Speaker 1: scene is so weird. And so clearly Taylor's going to
- 28:29Speaker 1: be deposed. There's no way out of it. I think
- 28:32Speaker 1: she's going to be deposed, which nobody likes to be deposed.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Do they live next door to each other?
- 28:38Speaker 1: I'm constantly like.
- 28:40Speaker 6: Baffled by how much she's over at Blake Lively's home.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Well, I don't think she is anymore, but she was.
- 28:47Speaker 3: So she just, do they live near each other?
- 28:49Speaker 1: I think maybe, I think she had a New York
- 28:50Speaker 1: place or I don't know where they were, but yeah,
- 28:52Speaker 1: I think, you know, it's, I think it's fun to,
- 28:55Speaker 1: she probably watched Gossip Girl. She probably was a huge
- 28:59Speaker 1: fan of hers. And then all of a sudden Blake
- 29:00Speaker 1: wants to be her friend. And even though they're, you know,
- 29:03Speaker 1: you're like, why would Taylor care to, Taylor has that
- 29:06Speaker 1: whole thing of collecting cool happening girls that are models.
- 29:11Speaker 1: And she has her, she was the first one that
- 29:13Speaker 1: called it squad. So she likes to have, so yeah,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I think she enjoyed it until it turned into like
- 29:19Speaker 1: the worst Hollywood thing. lawsuit scandal like everyone just comes
- 29:24Speaker 1: off looking gross so she's just like staying silent but
- 29:27Speaker 1: here's the thing with so last we dropped off uh
- 29:31Speaker 1: there was an amended complaint from Blake where she said
- 29:34Speaker 1: there is you know I'm submitting evidence that there's two
- 29:38Speaker 1: other actresses that also said that Baldoni made them feel uncomfortable.
- 29:42Speaker 1: So you had to, you know, by process of elimination,
- 29:45Speaker 1: it's got to be Jenny Slate who played his sister
- 29:48Speaker 1: and her best friend and Isabella, the young Blake. So
- 29:53Speaker 1: they found out one of the complaints that were like
- 29:57Speaker 1: through HR or whatever was through Jenny Slate is she
- 30:01Speaker 1: got this apartment. She's a single mom with a two-year-old
- 30:04Speaker 1: in New York. And she was saying, I don't like it.
- 30:07Speaker 1: It's like, it's not enough room for us, whatever. But
- 30:10Speaker 1: I don't feel like moving and losing my $ 15, 000 deposit.
- 30:15Speaker 1: The producer said something like, don't worry about it. We
- 30:20Speaker 1: will cover the 15 grand. We'll reimburse you for that.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Motherhood's really important. And it's really important that you as
- 30:26Speaker 1: a single mom, like feels comfortable. Allegedly, from what I've
- 30:30Speaker 1: gathered in my research, which is not as extensive as yours, probably. OK,
- 30:35Speaker 1: but it seems like that people are saying that she
- 30:41Speaker 1: took that little bit of like motherhood and all that
- 30:44Speaker 1: and maybe share that with Blake, which then got back.
- 30:48Speaker 1: And it was like inappropriate use of talking about like.
- 30:53Speaker 1: But most people that that talked about it were like, oh,
- 30:55Speaker 1: my God, like that's nice. They gave her the 15 grand.
- 30:58Speaker 1: They wanted her to be comfortable. Also, who is uncomfortable
- 31:01Speaker 1: in a apartment that's 15000 a month in New York?
- 31:04Speaker 1: But New York is an expensive place. I don't know.
- 31:06Speaker 1: But that was that's the complaint. It doesn't have to
- 31:10Speaker 1: do with Justin Bieber. creeping on her as of yet
- 31:15Speaker 1: it has to do with that part of the production.
- 31:18Speaker 3: That she had a bad apartment or that they said
- 31:20Speaker 3: the motherhood.
- 31:20Speaker 1: That the motherhood comment i don't get it.
- 31:22Speaker 4: I don't either So all he said was confusing about
- 31:25Speaker 4: it is that motherhood is important.
- 31:26Speaker 1: We're going to cover the money and you can find
- 31:28Speaker 1: a place that fits you. Well, that's terrible. That's why
- 31:31Speaker 1: the team. That's why the team, Justin, people are making
- 31:34Speaker 1: videos out of it and talking about it because it
- 31:36Speaker 1: is so ridiculous. That is her defense. It could have
- 31:39Speaker 1: just been such a throwaway thing that she said to Blake, too.
- 31:44Speaker 1: And then Blake took it and was like. That's what
- 31:46Speaker 1: it sounds like. You know, yeah. It doesn't even sound
- 31:48Speaker 1: like she was complaining.
- 31:49Speaker 4: The complaint being about the apartment probably was too small
- 31:52Speaker 4: or it was a studio or whatever.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Who knows? Because New York apartments are tiny and she
- 31:55Speaker 1: has a kid and she whatever. whatever. And then they
- 31:58Speaker 1: fixed it for her.
- 31:59Speaker 6: And then we don't know what, yeah, we love Jenny Slate.
- 32:02Speaker 6: So I feel like, is she just totally horrified that
- 32:05Speaker 6: she's like.
- 32:05Speaker 1: She's just staying silent, you know, and she has another
- 32:09Speaker 1: show coming up. Good. Um, that's that, uh, my friend
- 32:13Speaker 1: is the creator of Nikki Boyer called, um, dying for sex.
- 32:18Speaker 1: That became like a hit podcast. And as a show
- 32:20Speaker 1: about her best friend who is dying from cancer and
- 32:24Speaker 1: wants to have sex with all the different kind of
- 32:26Speaker 1: sex she didn't have. And it's about two best friends
- 32:28Speaker 1: and Jenny Slate plays one of them. So like, she's
- 32:31Speaker 1: on to other things, you know, it's just like, but
- 32:33Speaker 1: was she a supportive friend in the process to Blake? Yeah,
- 32:36Speaker 1: but I don't know. I would guess that she didn't
- 32:38Speaker 1: foresee this happening when she's just, you know, we've all
- 32:42Speaker 1: been in a job where you're like, want to take
- 32:45Speaker 1: a walk around the studio and bitch? Yeah. Meet me
- 32:47Speaker 1: for coffee and you bitch and dah, dah, dah. And
- 32:49Speaker 1: it's like, I literally just did that.
- 32:51Speaker 4: I literally just in our thing in Portland, they booked
- 32:54Speaker 4: an Airbnb and, And I was like, no, it's too small.
- 32:58Speaker 4: It's too small. I've got two of my many pets.
- 33:01Speaker 4: We can't do it. We need a different place.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Motherhood is important, Julie.
- 33:04Speaker 4: It is.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Being a dog and cat mom is important. It's important.
- 33:08Speaker 1: It's important. It was too small. I needed a yard.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Didn't have a yard. It was going to be a stair.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I can't do it. And you know what? They said,
- 33:14Speaker 1: you know what? Don't worry about it. Motherhood is important. Yeah.
- 33:17Speaker 3: I thought we did have to do it.
- 33:18Speaker 1: And then, no, we didn't. Well, the second time we did.
- 33:21Speaker 1: But the first time we did. The second time we did.
- 33:22Speaker 1: The second time we did have to suck it up
- 33:23Speaker 1: because it was for just two days. Yeah. But the
- 33:25Speaker 1: first time was going to be like for 30 days. Oh, right.
- 33:27Speaker 1: And I was just like, no, can't do it. It's
- 33:29Speaker 1: got to be. Also, I'm not sharing a space. It
- 33:31Speaker 1: cannot be a guest house.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Right.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I can't do it.
- 33:34Speaker 6: I can imagine 15,000 down payment in like a whatever
- 33:37Speaker 6: deposit in New York.
- 33:38Speaker 3: I'm quite sure that gets you a studio.
- 33:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Yeah. You know what I mean? It probably wasn't big
- 33:42Speaker 1: enough for a running around toddler, honestly. No way. Could
- 33:45Speaker 1: be stairs. They accommodated her, but in the conversation, allegedly,
- 33:51Speaker 1: it was in some way interpreted as slightly bothersome or
- 33:56Speaker 1: offensive to her, and I think she shared it with Blake. Now,
- 33:58Speaker 1: the other girl that we think it is is Isabella,
- 34:01Speaker 1: and now Isabella, we don't know what her complaint was.
- 34:04Speaker 3: But that's like a 10-year-old?
- 34:05Speaker 1: No, no, no. She's like 20-something.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I didn't realize that. She claimed her as like a teenager.
- 34:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 34:09Speaker 1: But she's also said on the red carpet, Blake is
- 34:12Speaker 1: like a big sister to me. We have sleepovers. We
- 34:15Speaker 1: hang out. We make food. She gives me so much tips.
- 34:19Speaker 1: And some people would say, well, now that's kind of
- 34:22Speaker 1: odd to have a sleepover with your co-host. And you're
- 34:26Speaker 1: 37 and a mother of four. And you're like, spend
- 34:29Speaker 1: the night and hang out. Was she... grooming her, not sexually,
- 34:33Speaker 1: but kind of grooming her in a way that would
- 34:36Speaker 1: make her, you know, again, open up or feel entitled
- 34:39Speaker 1: or use that friendship to be like, well, remember when
- 34:42Speaker 1: we were bitching about whatever and you said this? I
- 34:45Speaker 1: don't know. So those are the little latest things. We're
- 34:47Speaker 1: not going to spend the whole show on it.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Okay. Okay.
- 34:51Speaker 1: So this is juicy. I have talked a little bit
- 34:55Speaker 1: and joked a little bit about let them because it's
- 34:59Speaker 1: all over everyone's feed. And this is Mel Robbins. And
- 35:01Speaker 1: she has let us know she has a number one podcast,
- 35:04Speaker 1: number one, this number one that she likes very much
- 35:06Speaker 1: to say that. And a lot of people love her
- 35:09Speaker 1: and a lot of people have read her books and
- 35:10Speaker 1: gone to her speak motivational speaking. I have not. I
- 35:15Speaker 1: have only seen certain things. But the whole let them
- 35:18Speaker 1: thing is like if you're all your friends go to
- 35:21Speaker 1: brunch and don't invite you, don't don't bitch at them
- 35:24Speaker 1: or be mad. Let them let them. But it's also
- 35:28Speaker 1: when I looked a little more, it's really also about
- 35:30Speaker 1: like really controlling women and mothers like. So basically, I
- 35:35Speaker 1: found out why she came up with the let them thing.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Okay.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Great.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I've always found it confusing. You're the one who told
- 35:40Speaker 3: us about it.
- 35:40Speaker 1: It's so confusing. I'm like, I don't get it. Because
- 35:42Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, you're just not supposed to ever get
- 35:44Speaker 1: mad about anything. Or you're saying, let them. At first,
- 35:48Speaker 1: it sounds good. Because we had a whole discussion about it.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Because at first, it's like, you know what? Yeah, let them. Yeah.
- 35:53Speaker 1: They don't control us.
- 35:54Speaker 4: And we're going to let them infiltrate all of our
- 35:56Speaker 4: thoughts and have da-da-da-da-da.
- 35:57Speaker 1: But then Brandy's like, what? Let them what? What if
- 35:59Speaker 1: they hate you? You don't let them?
- 36:01Speaker 4: What if they continually... Like, ignore you. What if they
- 36:04Speaker 4: continually ghost you? What if they can, what if you don't,
- 36:07Speaker 4: you can't have a, you can't have a back and forth.
- 36:10Speaker 1: You can't, there's no. And is it let them go?
- 36:12Speaker 3: Because then it's like, bye, girl.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Well, let me first get into the controversy over Mel Robbins. Okay.
- 36:17Speaker 1: And being accused of not, she's been accused of plagiarism.
- 36:22Speaker 1: I'm not going to use that. That's sort of a
- 36:23Speaker 1: strong word, but not giving credit where credit's due. Okay.
- 36:27Speaker 1: So this guy has a YouTube that was sent to me.
- 36:31Speaker 1: And he explains everything. And his name's Andy Mort. So
- 36:35Speaker 1: I am going to give him the credit. I did
- 36:38Speaker 1: not do this research myself, but I watched his whole video.
- 36:42Speaker 1: And he says this girl, Cassie Phillips, wrote this poem
- 36:47Speaker 1: called Let Them. Now, other people are going to say
- 36:49Speaker 1: my grandmother used to say let them. OK, so it's like, OK,
- 36:54Speaker 1: but she actually wrote a poem called Let Them that
- 36:56Speaker 1: then sparked people. Getting tattoos and things, calling Let Them
- 37:00Speaker 1: Let Me. That's when the tattoos started. That's important to
- 37:02Speaker 1: the story. This girl, Cassie, inspired— Cassie Phillips, this pretty
- 37:06Speaker 1: girl that's younger, has like a hip look to her, okay? Yeah.
- 37:10Speaker 1: So this is the controversy. This is the poem went
- 37:14Speaker 1: viral in 2022. This is important. And, um, people shared it,
- 37:18Speaker 1: discussed it, got tattoos in 23. Robbins made a viral
- 37:22Speaker 1: video saying she just, and she says, I watched the video.
- 37:25Speaker 1: She goes, I'm hearing, I've just heard about this thing
- 37:28Speaker 1: called let them. And I love it. Blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Then she does a podcast episode about it and it
- 37:33Speaker 1: goes big. And then, um, She's like, I just used
- 37:37Speaker 1: the theory, let them. And it was at my son's
- 37:40Speaker 1: junior prom. And they were, I said, where are you
- 37:43Speaker 1: guys going to dinner? And it was torrential rain. And
- 37:46Speaker 1: he said, the group is going to this taco stand.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Cheesecake factory. No, a taco stand outside. And she goes,
- 37:55Speaker 1: and I was like thinking, you can't do that. Or
- 37:58Speaker 1: she was saying this, you can't do that. You're all
- 38:00Speaker 1: dressed up. Your dates have hair. You can't be standing
- 38:02Speaker 1: at a taco stand. Like, let me try to make
- 38:04Speaker 1: a reservation with you somewhere else. And she said her
- 38:06Speaker 1: 20-year-old daughter said, Mom, let them. And she goes, that's
- 38:12Speaker 1: when I had the light bulb moment. And that's when
- 38:14Speaker 1: I put the let them theory into it. And that's
- 38:16Speaker 1: when I decided I'm going to talk about this and
- 38:19Speaker 1: write a book about this. Because I used it. And
- 38:22Speaker 1: then the other time I used it is I was
- 38:23Speaker 1: at the grocery store. And there were five people ahead
- 38:25Speaker 1: of me. And there was only one checker. And I
- 38:28Speaker 1: was getting all frustrated and mad. And I was like,
- 38:30Speaker 1: let them. I didn't understand that either.
- 38:33Speaker 5: Let them what?
- 38:34Speaker 1: Let them be understaffed? Let the girls struggle? Oh, thank
- 38:38Speaker 1: you for not bitching to the manager? Thank you for
- 38:41Speaker 1: not bitching to the people ahead of you? Thank you
- 38:42Speaker 1: for not bitching to the girl? I don't get it.
- 38:44Speaker 1: And some people are like, is it being superior? Because
- 38:47Speaker 1: it's supposed to be let them rise above it. So
- 38:49Speaker 1: are you seeing yourself as a superior being that nothing
- 38:52Speaker 1: is to bother you? But I'm like, who are you
- 38:53Speaker 1: mad at that you're waiting in line? It's a grocery store.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Yes.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Go to Cuba. What's your option to rob the store
- 39:02Speaker 1: and steal the groceries? You had no choice.
- 39:04Speaker 6: You just stand in line to get your groceries. Otherwise,
- 39:06Speaker 6: you leave your groceries, abandon your groceries, or you steal them.
- 39:09Speaker 1: So the grocery story and the prom story, she has
- 39:11Speaker 1: said in numerous podcasts in which this guy put all
- 39:15Speaker 1: the clips together. So it's her stories, which a lot
- 39:17Speaker 1: of people do when you're peddling a book. You end
- 39:20Speaker 1: up telling the same stories over and over, whether it's
- 39:22Speaker 1: on Good Morning America or whatever. Oprah, everything. Oprah is like,
- 39:26Speaker 1: at the end, she says, I love you. They go,
- 39:28Speaker 1: I love you too. Jay Shetty, who is also a grifter.
- 39:32Speaker 1: I had the guy on that wrote all about him
- 39:35Speaker 1: from The Guardian about his past Buddhist life and all this,
- 39:40Speaker 1: or monk life that he proved isn't true. Nobody cares.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Everyone is like, Jay Shetty, woo! I'm just saying. Grifters
- 39:49Speaker 1: be grifting.
- 39:49Speaker 5: OK, so.
- 39:51Speaker 3: And they stick together.
- 39:52Speaker 1: So she. OK, so let me give you the timeline.
- 39:55Speaker 1: So in 2023, she did the video, Mel, about I
- 39:58Speaker 1: just heard of this theory. In 2024, she announced that
- 40:00Speaker 1: she's writing a book published. Now, this is where this
- 40:05Speaker 1: guy realized a big point. Andy Morton. She knew about
- 40:11Speaker 1: the poem. She knew about the tattoos that was already
- 40:14Speaker 1: out in 2022. She didn't start talking about it till 23.
- 40:18Speaker 1: The book came out in 24. In the book, she says,
- 40:22Speaker 1: I was working on this for two years, bringing it
- 40:24Speaker 1: back to 22. Not true, because in 23 is when
- 40:27Speaker 1: she first did the video of I Just Discovered This,
- 40:30Speaker 1: Let Them. Also, when she decided, based on the viral
- 40:34Speaker 1: video and her hit podcast episode about it, when she
- 40:37Speaker 1: decided to do the book, she went and tried to
- 40:40Speaker 1: register Let Them, trademark register it. which Cassie Phillips, I guess,
- 40:44Speaker 1: had not done, but they did not give it to her.
- 40:47Speaker 6: She does not have the trademark of it. Did they
- 40:50Speaker 6: think it was just too common of a phrase?
- 40:52Speaker 1: I guess she couldn't prove that it was, like, her.
- 40:55Speaker 1: You have to really prove that, like, something is yours. Like,
- 40:59Speaker 1: I wrote a book called You'll Never Blue Ball in
- 41:01Speaker 1: This Town Again. Now, if all of a sudden I said,
- 41:04Speaker 1: you know what? I just came up with this theory.
- 41:07Speaker 1: It's called blue balling. And what you do is you
- 41:10Speaker 1: dry hump a guy... while wearing jeans and it feels
- 41:14Speaker 1: kind of nice and it keeps you from getting pregnant
- 41:18Speaker 1: and also keeps you from ever getting a third date,
- 41:20Speaker 1: but it's called blue balling. And it's a theory that
- 41:24Speaker 1: I've been doing now. And I'm just letting people know, no,
- 41:27Speaker 1: it's like, it's okay. Like if she would have been like,
- 41:31Speaker 1: you know, or even gone to Cassie and involved her,
- 41:34Speaker 1: or even if she didn't, even if she said, I
- 41:35Speaker 1: saw this poem and I was like, I'm going to
- 41:37Speaker 1: take this further. I'm not, And I haven't read the book,
- 41:39Speaker 1: so I don't know if she interviews people that have
- 41:41Speaker 1: done it or, you know, you could have done. I
- 41:42Speaker 1: don't know. I'm assuming the book doesn't have anything legally wrong.
- 41:46Speaker 1: It's just in this world of everyone sharing content. When
- 41:50Speaker 1: I see stuff. Oftentimes I go, I saw this somewhere.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I didn't come up with it. I don't always have
- 41:55Speaker 1: everyone's name because I'm scrolling and things like that. But
- 41:59Speaker 1: so that is the controversy around the let them. Wow.
- 42:02Speaker 1: But all these people are just like, oh my God,
- 42:05Speaker 1: this is amazing. And she goes, this is the single
- 42:07Speaker 1: Mel Robbins goes, this is the single greatest thing I've
- 42:10Speaker 1: ever done with my life. This moment at 56 years
- 42:14Speaker 1: old with this book coming out, this is what I
- 42:17Speaker 1: was put on earth to do. Take a poem from
- 42:19Speaker 1: someone else. And she says in the interviews, people are
- 42:22Speaker 1: getting tattoos. She makes it sound like they're getting that
- 42:25Speaker 1: tattoos for her. So her origin story is changed and
- 42:31Speaker 1: not correct. The same thing with Jay Shetty. His origin
- 42:35Speaker 1: story has been proven not to be accurate. But even
- 42:39Speaker 1: when I had that writer on, nobody picked it up.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Because he's so powerful in this space.
- 42:46Speaker 5: Yep.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Maybe, you know. That is just, I mean.
- 42:52Speaker 6: She should have had this girl on Cassie when she
- 42:54Speaker 6: did her podcast episode about it. Because you said she
- 42:56Speaker 6: did a podcast episode right when she got involved, right?
- 43:00Speaker 4: Yes.
- 43:00Speaker 1: She should have had this girl on, the girl that
- 43:01Speaker 1: wrote the poem. Yep. And she didn't.
- 43:04Speaker 2: No.
- 43:05Speaker 1: And that's why when people say, oh, you wrote White Chicks. No,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I did not write White Chicks. White Chicks was already sold.
- 43:11Speaker 1: And I've said this too. already sold to be made.
- 43:14Speaker 1: They had already created the whole idea, okay? I was
- 43:19Speaker 1: writing on another movie with them. I was waiting for
- 43:22Speaker 1: Keenan to arrive, and I saw the Hollywood Reporter article,
- 43:26Speaker 1: and I said, can I work on this film since
- 43:29Speaker 1: I'm a white chick when this gets made? And they go, yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 1: we're going to work on that one next. And then
- 43:34Speaker 1: I helped with scenes and character development and jokes. I
- 43:38Speaker 1: was not... writing it i was a contributor like i
- 43:43Speaker 1: always make that very clear when someone says like because
- 43:45Speaker 1: i'm like i don't want someone to think i wrote
- 43:47Speaker 1: the whole thing and like because maybe that's why the
- 43:49Speaker 1: waynes aren't calling me maybe someone was like that stupid
- 43:52Speaker 1: bitch is walking around saying she came up with white
- 43:54Speaker 1: chicks and wrote it herself no that is not true
- 43:58Speaker 1: no that is not true all.
- 43:59Speaker 4: Mel robbins had to do is have her on share
- 44:01Speaker 4: the glory you know what i mean she could have
- 44:03Speaker 4: like And.
- 44:04Speaker 6: By the way, even if she did invent it, it's
- 44:06Speaker 6: confusing as fuck. I'm sorry you think that's the greatest
- 44:08Speaker 6: single accomplishment you ever had.
- 44:10Speaker 3: I don't get it. I haven't been able to get it.
- 44:13Speaker 6: And I feel like you're either a doormat or you've
- 44:16Speaker 6: got a superiority complex and it just doesn't resonate with me.
- 44:19Speaker 1: And I guess she also, when I looked it up,
- 44:22Speaker 1: I saw that she had an open marriage. And I
- 44:24Speaker 1: made a joke about it on a previous episode, which
- 44:26Speaker 1: I also cut that clip, which was, of course she
- 44:29Speaker 1: has an open marriage. Your husband wants to fuck someone else?
- 44:32Speaker 5: Them.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Exactly. Also, you're a lesbian. Let yourself.
- 44:36Speaker 4: Let them.
- 44:37Speaker 1: But then someone said, no, she considered it. They talked
- 44:42Speaker 1: about it, but it never happened. And she saved her
- 44:44Speaker 1: marriage and they're still married and committed. So, yeah. Did
- 44:48Speaker 1: I maybe give some misinformation? Let me. Was I wrong
- 44:53Speaker 1: about it? Let me. Did I read it on the internet? Yes,
- 44:55Speaker 1: I did. Did the person write it wrong that I
- 44:57Speaker 1: read it about? Let them. Let them write something that
- 45:00Speaker 1: they weren't correct about. Yeah. It fucking happens. Let them.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Let them. Let them.
- 45:05Speaker 6: Don't ever worry about any single thing getting misquoted, misunderstood, taking.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Someone's information and making it a hit book and let them. Yeah.
- 45:15Speaker 1: But I thought it was a little weird when I
- 45:16Speaker 1: saw one clip where she's like, I'm number one podcaster
- 45:20Speaker 1: on Amazon, Spotify. I'm like, okay.
- 45:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:24Speaker 1: You know what?
- 45:25Speaker 4: That would be a turn. That's that would should be
- 45:27Speaker 4: a red flag right there. You know, it's not a turnoff.
- 45:31Speaker 4: I'm number one and all like.
- 45:33Speaker 1: That's such a turn off. Also, when I first saw
- 45:34Speaker 1: the Let Them thing and I first saw a clip
- 45:37Speaker 1: about her, I did DM her and I was like,
- 45:39Speaker 1: do you think that your friend stopped inviting you to
- 45:41Speaker 1: brunch because you became so successful? Because she one time
- 45:44Speaker 1: said something and she goes, I thought we were all
- 45:46Speaker 1: going to be going on cruises in our 50s. And like, yeah.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know. So I did run her.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I'd love to talk to you
- 45:54Speaker 1: about it. Anyway, of course, she's got, you know, 70
- 45:56Speaker 1: million followers, whatever it is. I haven't heard from her.
- 45:58Speaker 1: So that's not why I'm exposing her. I found... Andy Mort.
- 46:05Speaker 5: He did it.
- 46:05Speaker 1: And someone sent it to me on Facebook. And I say,
- 46:10Speaker 1: thank you for doing that. Cassie Phillips, give her some credit.
- 46:13Speaker 1: And if you love the book and you love listening
- 46:15Speaker 1: to her and all that, that's fine. But we also
- 46:18Speaker 1: need to know the truth. And so there you go
- 46:21Speaker 1: with that. One thing, just to clarify, one thing Mel
- 46:24Speaker 1: Robbins has said is that Her let them theory stems
- 46:28Speaker 1: from other things like the serenity prayer.
- 46:31Speaker 6: Okay.
- 46:31Speaker 1: God, let me accept the things that I cannot accept.
- 46:34Speaker 1: You know, that one.
- 46:35Speaker 3: The things I cannot change.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Like the AA, which they use in the AA meetings.
- 46:40Speaker 1: But in any other credit that she gets, she never says,
- 46:44Speaker 1: from what I have done, the research, show me a
- 46:47Speaker 1: clip where she says Cassie Phillips wrote a poem about
- 46:50Speaker 1: Someone sent it to, you know, I started to see
- 46:52Speaker 1: the thing or I didn't know where the origin came from.
- 46:56Speaker 1: It came from this poem in 2022 from Cassie Phillips. And,
- 47:00Speaker 1: you know, because like she just has never said that.
- 47:02Speaker 1: And there's no way she doesn't know at this point.
- 47:04Speaker 3: What a thankless job, too, by the way.
- 47:07Speaker 1: You're a poet.
- 47:09Speaker 6: Or even if you're a writer and you're writing poetry,
- 47:11Speaker 6: she finally got like some traction. People were getting the
- 47:13Speaker 6: tattoo with her art. And it's like, and then this
- 47:17Speaker 6: bitch comes and usurps it. Like, I'm sorry, Mel.
- 47:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 6: Like, that's just not going to cut it.
- 47:22Speaker 5: No.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 47:23Speaker 6: This young woman like make does what poet or even poem?
- 47:29Speaker 1: No.
- 47:29Speaker 3: We got Maya Angelou and the bitch who was at
- 47:31Speaker 3: the White House.
- 47:32Speaker 1: And that's pretty much it. Also, I think that the
- 47:34Speaker 1: let them theory only does apply to like really bossy people.
- 47:39Speaker 1: And I'm not a bossy person. Well, there is a
- 47:42Speaker 1: part of it. That's why it spoke to me from
- 47:43Speaker 1: the beginning. I like to disassociate. I like to just
- 47:47Speaker 1: be like, just forget it. Just, I don't want to
- 47:49Speaker 1: think about it.
- 47:50Speaker 4: Just let, I can't, I just have to, in order
- 47:53Speaker 4: to survive and move on, just, they're going to think that.
- 47:56Speaker 4: I can't compare myself to that. They're going to, if
- 47:59Speaker 4: I get too competitive, I'm going to lose my mind.
- 48:02Speaker 4: So I'm just going to try and, in some way,
- 48:04Speaker 4: it spoke to me about just disassociating or not.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Which no one would call healthy behavior. Disassociated. It's not healthy.
- 48:12Speaker 1: I think that part is okay, but now that I've
- 48:15Speaker 1: researched more, it's more about like, that's like saying, let
- 48:18Speaker 1: your kid go in the rain at the prom? No,
- 48:20Speaker 1: that's why it's... It's an awful idea. Yeah, that's why
- 48:22Speaker 1: I'm saying it doesn't make sense. Can you at least
- 48:24Speaker 1: ask if there's an awning at the taco truck? Your
- 48:27Speaker 1: kid is 16. He doesn't realize that his date is
- 48:30Speaker 1: going to be really bummed and she's a girl who's
- 48:32Speaker 1: going to be too shy to say, I don't want
- 48:35Speaker 1: to be in the rain or... Like, it's like, yeah,
- 48:39Speaker 1: you know, your two-year-old wants to go out in the
- 48:41Speaker 1: snow with no shoes on. Let them. I mean, how
- 48:43Speaker 1: far does it go? Like, you know, yes, your kid
- 48:46Speaker 1: should learn some lessons. But the prom thing, I was like,
- 48:48Speaker 1: I don't think that's wrong for moms, especially in 2025
- 48:51Speaker 1: where these 17-year-old kids are stupid, to say, no, you
- 48:55Speaker 1: guys are not going in the rain in your rented
- 48:57Speaker 1: suit and your prom dress and your $ 200 hair and makeup.
- 49:01Speaker 1: We will find, like, I don't think that, and then
- 49:03Speaker 1: she was like, Like, I don't know. That's my opinion. No,
- 49:08Speaker 1: that's why you're right. It's like a bossy mom thing,
- 49:11Speaker 1: I guess.
- 49:11Speaker 4: No, I think once you scratch one little bit, one question,
- 49:15Speaker 4: and that's why Brandy was saying.
- 49:17Speaker 1: It's like you're either a doormat or you're above it.
- 49:20Speaker 1: it all.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Instantaneously, to me, it spoke to my personal... whatever needs,
- 49:26Speaker 4: but then it went, once you go further, it doesn't
- 49:29Speaker 4: make any sense. Cause I'm not going to let someone
- 49:30Speaker 4: punch me. I'm not going to let someone push me.
- 49:32Speaker 4: I'm not going to let someone treat me like shit. I, or,
- 49:35Speaker 4: or is that what you're saying?
- 49:37Speaker 3: I mean, I prefer the subtle art of not giving
- 49:40Speaker 3: a shit.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that, that is good.
- 49:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:42Speaker 1: But the thing of like, as a mother, since she
- 49:45Speaker 1: used the mother as her mothering, as an example of
- 49:47Speaker 1: letting her kid, one of my greatest, most satisfying moments
- 49:51Speaker 1: as being a mom is is when Mackenzie, my daughter,
- 49:54Speaker 1: my stepdaughter, she, to be technical, sometimes if I say daughter,
- 49:58Speaker 1: then people are like, she's really not. And then if
- 50:00Speaker 1: I say step, they feel like it's offensive. Whatever. She's
- 50:02Speaker 1: my daughter. So she was in college and I was like,
- 50:05Speaker 1: where are you going to live for sophomore year? And
- 50:06Speaker 1: she had a serious boyfriend. Oh, we're going to rent
- 50:09Speaker 1: a house and with the boyfriend. And I was like,
- 50:15Speaker 1: you know, with a few other people. And Peter was
- 50:19Speaker 1: kind of like, okay, you know, Way to go, Peter.
- 50:22Speaker 1: But I said, Mackenzie, I don't think it's a good idea,
- 50:26Speaker 1: and I'm going to tell you why. I go, because
- 50:29Speaker 1: if you decide you want to break up with him
- 50:31Speaker 1: or whatever, now you're living in this house. It's going
- 50:33Speaker 1: to be weird if he brings a girl. If you
- 50:35Speaker 1: bring another guy, he could be possessive. It's why you
- 50:38Speaker 1: don't live with someone until you're really serious, especially when
- 50:41Speaker 1: you don't have the money to just get up and leave.
- 50:43Speaker 1: And I said, there isn't a girl over 24 years
- 50:46Speaker 1: old walking on this earth that would tell you 19-year-old,
- 50:51Speaker 1: that's a good idea. It's not just me. It's women
- 50:54Speaker 1: just a couple years older than you would say, don't
- 50:56Speaker 1: live with your boyfriend sophomore year. And I go, that's
- 51:00Speaker 1: all I'm going to say. And then the next day
- 51:01Speaker 1: she was like, well, I talked to the boyfriend and
- 51:04Speaker 1: he was kind of sad. I go, why is he sad?
- 51:07Speaker 1: She goes, oh, because I'm not going to live with him.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I go, oh, what changed your mind? She's like, what
- 51:10Speaker 1: you said. I was like, oh, my God. So now
- 51:15Speaker 1: going to our next story. Of the sad thing of
- 51:19Speaker 1: Gabby Petito. Ugh. I think she had the greatest— this is
- 51:23Speaker 1: the poor girl. You guys know the story. It's a
- 51:25Speaker 1: three-part doc on Netflix. And we talked so much about
- 51:29Speaker 1: it on Juicy Scoop. This is the girl who went
- 51:32Speaker 1: with her boyfriend, living the van life, went missing, and
- 51:35Speaker 1: we found out that the boyfriend did it. Okay? Brian.
- 51:41Speaker 1: So Gabby. But in just getting into it, she— had
- 51:45Speaker 1: the greatest four parents ever, the greatest co-parenting thing we've
- 51:48Speaker 1: ever seen. The mom and dad had her at 20,
- 51:50Speaker 1: broke up when she was seven months old, married other people,
- 51:54Speaker 1: had other families. All looked alike.
- 51:57Speaker 3: Strangely, they all look exactly alike.
- 51:58Speaker 1: The mom's a blonde. The dad's are like a cute
- 52:01Speaker 1: 45 bald. But they all got along. There was so
- 52:06Speaker 1: much respect for the stepmom and the stepdad and all
- 52:09Speaker 1: of that. All that was beautiful. And, you know.
- 52:15Speaker 1: And I think they did everything right in that, too,
- 52:17Speaker 1: because she was 22. But it's heartbreaking. And, you know.
- 52:22Speaker 1: You know who did wrong in that situation were the cops. Yes.
- 52:26Speaker 1: So let's talk about that. Like the parents did their best.
- 52:28Speaker 1: What are you going to do? She's an adult.
- 52:30Speaker 4: She went in the van and did the van life.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Even though I would say there isn't a... Living in
- 52:35Speaker 1: the van is going to be less fun. Nightmare. Don't
- 52:37Speaker 1: do it. But she wanted to do her YouTube channel.
- 52:40Speaker 1: But even he didn't... It wasn't like he was like
- 52:43Speaker 1: the videographer.
- 52:44Speaker 5: He had.
- 52:45Speaker 1: No skills. None. He didn't go to college. He wasn't
- 52:48Speaker 1: working on anything. He wasn't a mechanic. He wasn't a... No.
- 52:51Speaker 1: He didn't work at REI. He didn't fucking know shit. No.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Why the fuck were they on a van life? And
- 52:56Speaker 1: you saw her bitter.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Like, if you knew how to edit, we could get
- 52:58Speaker 3: this done faster.
- 52:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:59Speaker 1: She was already irritated.
- 53:00Speaker 4: He was looking to hitch his dick into something. He
- 53:03Speaker 4: liked that bug-eyed girl. He was trying to get with her.
- 53:05Speaker 4: She didn't want to get with him.
- 53:06Speaker 1: He was looking to... Oh, the girl that interviewed. Yeah.
- 53:08Speaker 4: He was trying to hook into a girl.
- 53:11Speaker 1: He was fishing for whoever.
- 53:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 53:12Speaker 1: And she... Did not realize how hot she was.
- 53:16Speaker 5: Nope.
- 53:17Speaker 1: When they showed her legs in those shorts, I was like,
- 53:19Speaker 1: this girl has got a perfect body. She doesn't need
- 53:22Speaker 1: a speckle of makeup. Perfect face. But she, like, I
- 53:26Speaker 1: don't think she realized, like, he realized, I can't believe
- 53:29Speaker 1: this girl is with me. This girl is way out
- 53:31Speaker 1: of my league.
- 53:32Speaker 5: Way.
- 53:33Speaker 1: I have imposter syndrome. I should not be with this girl.
- 53:35Speaker 1: When is she going to wake up and realize that I...
- 53:39Speaker 1: It got balled at 22, so I have a chip
- 53:41Speaker 1: on my shoulder. I don't go to school, and I'm
- 53:43Speaker 1: a loser. I thought his parents were lying about his age.
- 53:45Speaker 6: I was like, I don't know how he was at
- 53:47Speaker 6: high school with them, but I'm like, somebody lied about
- 53:49Speaker 6: his age.
- 53:49Speaker 1: But what you were saying about the cops, so your
- 53:51Speaker 1: opinion is that the cops didn't handle it right because
- 53:54Speaker 1: we see them get pulled over. They were fighting from
- 53:56Speaker 1: the beginning from what we learned, all that, whatever.
- 54:00Speaker 4: When we saw that body cam of the cops in
- 54:04Speaker 4: Utah who pulled them over where they had gotten in
- 54:06Speaker 4: the fight, Those cops, in my opinion, are responsible for
- 54:09Speaker 4: her death.
- 54:10Speaker 1: If I were her parents, I would sue them. They did. Oh, good.
- 54:13Speaker 1: They did, and I think they did get money. And
- 54:15Speaker 1: they also sued her.
- 54:18Speaker 3: His parents and got his parents are, but we don't
- 54:20Speaker 3: know how.
- 54:20Speaker 4: Much it's every single police, the police who went to
- 54:23Speaker 4: the parents house should be sued.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Florida, the Florida police were useless.
- 54:28Speaker 4: Like they were, they should all be ashamed of themselves.
- 54:32Speaker 1: They are all responsible.
- 54:33Speaker 4: They all have her blood on their hands, but those
- 54:36Speaker 4: main cops who put him in a hotel for domestic
- 54:40Speaker 4: abuse survivors, because he was the victim of her. When
- 54:44Speaker 4: I tell you, I just about burned my entire neighborhood down.
- 54:48Speaker 4: This little girl is the, I don't care if she
- 54:51Speaker 4: slapped him 50,000 times. You get her, you take her away,
- 54:56Speaker 4: and you separate them, and you send her home.
- 54:58Speaker 1: But no, no, no. She was the... And all those
- 55:01Speaker 1: male cops.
- 55:02Speaker 3: And they're standing around laughing.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Laughing, saying how she was the aggressor. We have to
- 55:06Speaker 1: get him away from her.
- 55:07Speaker 3: He called her crazy to them.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I mean, they are responsible.
- 55:12Speaker 4: They should be fired. They should never be allowed in
- 55:15Speaker 4: police working again. And if I were... I mean, I
- 55:18Speaker 4: just have to say... So why the parents sued them.
- 55:23Speaker 1: It was because they said even if– so if you–
- 55:25Speaker 1: because they had to like find what the cops did wrong.
- 55:29Speaker 1: So they're like if the cops should have followed the
- 55:33Speaker 1: law and she said, yes, I hit him. She was
- 55:37Speaker 1: just– because whatever. But she didn't– when he was like,
- 55:40Speaker 1: what about those marks on you? She wouldn't say, well,
- 55:42Speaker 1: he hit me before yesterday or whatever. Technically they should
- 55:47Speaker 1: have said, well, I'm sorry, but we are going to
- 55:49Speaker 1: have to arrest you. And so the parents were like,
- 55:51Speaker 1: had you arrested her, she would have had to have
- 55:54Speaker 1: called us. And then we could have had access to
- 55:56Speaker 1: her to be like, what the fuck is going on?
- 55:59Speaker 1: And we could have had a chance to save her.
- 56:02Speaker 1: The defense of those cops is, you know, we were
- 56:08Speaker 1: trying to be nice.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Not give them like a record.
- 56:10Speaker 1: And not put her in jail because we didn't really
- 56:13Speaker 1: think it was a serious thing. We thought it was
- 56:15Speaker 1: like a mutual fighting thing. They're living in this tiny van.
- 56:18Speaker 1: He was polite. She was cooperative. So we're like, here's,
- 56:21Speaker 1: you know, here you go. But because technically she said,
- 56:24Speaker 1: I hit him. And so therefore he was the domestic
- 56:26Speaker 1: violence victim. They were following the protocol that he does,
- 56:30Speaker 1: does go to the free hotel room and she's in
- 56:33Speaker 1: the van. And then she did, you know, text her
- 56:35Speaker 1: mom and, oh, and, and, you know, did again, doesn't
- 56:38Speaker 1: want to worry parents. Lots of times kids don't tell
- 56:42Speaker 1: parents everything, you know, and cause they don't want to
- 56:44Speaker 1: worry them. Um, But there there was that a couple
- 56:48Speaker 1: of things. One thing that see the show, that tattoo
- 56:51Speaker 1: right here. I just saw someone pointed out. Not me.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Saw it. Don't know who to cry to. Said, did
- 56:56Speaker 1: you notice? So all her really good friend. the one
- 57:01Speaker 1: that she met on Bumble Friendship.
- 57:03Speaker 5: Oh, right.
- 57:04Speaker 3: That was cute.
- 57:04Speaker 1: That girl has it, and all four parents have it.
- 57:08Speaker 6: Oh.
- 57:08Speaker 1: That's so cute. That they did that. But anyway, so
- 57:11Speaker 1: most people agree that probably what happened was he was
- 57:16Speaker 1: feeling insecure. He was bugging her when she was working
- 57:20Speaker 1: 20-hour shifts at Taco Bell and couldn't be happier to
- 57:23Speaker 1: work there to collect the money for the van that
- 57:25Speaker 1: she owned. It was her name. And, you know, he'd
- 57:28Speaker 1: be like, you just don't want to be with her.
- 57:30Speaker 1: She's like, no, I'm making tacos. Like, please stop crying. Like,
- 57:32Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. I don't know how
- 57:34Speaker 1: to prove to you that I do. So she's realizing
- 57:36Speaker 1: after that instant everything, like, what the fuck am I doing?
- 57:39Speaker 1: He's totally unhelpful. I'm totally turned off. I don't want to...
- 57:42Speaker 1: His mom is a bitch. She probably doesn't want to
- 57:43Speaker 1: be intimate with him anymore. She's probably like, what? I could...
- 57:46Speaker 1: And she says to her own mom, I could make
- 57:47Speaker 1: more money as a single van life person. But she
- 57:50Speaker 1: starts texting and calling her old boyfriend.
- 57:54Speaker 5: So.
- 57:55Speaker 1: I believe, and a lot of people I think would
- 57:57Speaker 1: agree with me, somewhere at the last Mexican meal that
- 58:01Speaker 1: she said she didn't like her food and they left
- 58:04Speaker 1: and someone saw that and then they also saw them
- 58:06Speaker 1: go to the grocery store was the last time she
- 58:08Speaker 1: was seen. In there, there was a call that day
- 58:12Speaker 1: or a text to that boyfriend. He obviously saw it,
- 58:16Speaker 1: found out, phone texted back, whatever, and he looked and
- 58:21Speaker 1: then he was like, And then she probably was like, yeah,
- 58:23Speaker 1: I'm fucking leaving you. I'm done. Whatever. And it's just
- 58:26Speaker 1: that crime of passion where he is just like, no.
- 58:30Speaker 1: And then we believe he killed her, strangled her, whatever.
- 58:33Speaker 1: He has a 55 minute call with the mother that
- 58:37Speaker 1: they get from all. So I thought, you know, it
- 58:39Speaker 1: was obviously he told her. And then the letter, the
- 58:43Speaker 1: mom writes a letter.
- 58:44Speaker 3: The mom called the attorney right after that 55 minute call.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 58:47Speaker 6: Pops right onto the phone to the attorney and sends
- 58:49Speaker 6: the attorney 15 grand or 25 grand.
- 58:53Speaker 1: So a lot of people think that the other thing
- 58:56Speaker 1: is he's still alive. Because we never did see him.
- 59:01Speaker 1: They said he came back with the van. We never
- 59:03Speaker 1: did see him. Did they go collect the van, say
- 59:07Speaker 1: he was in the house, but— you know, because they
- 59:10Speaker 1: hadn't arrested him yet. They were still like, you know,
- 59:13Speaker 1: giving him all these days. He went off to Mexico.
- 59:17Speaker 1: And was there some other dead body or something that
- 59:21Speaker 1: he was very responsible for or found? And they put like,
- 59:27Speaker 1: But I don't believe that because I'm sure they did
- 59:29Speaker 1: a DNA test. So I do believe he's dead. Some
- 59:31Speaker 1: people think he's alive still in Mexico and they helped
- 59:34Speaker 1: him get a lead because they were the ones who
- 59:36Speaker 1: found the dead body. Right, right. But I don't believe
- 59:38Speaker 1: in 2025 that you could fake a dead body that
- 59:41Speaker 1: isn't his. No, they'd have to do the DNA. They
- 59:43Speaker 1: would know that it was his. Well, I feel like.
- 59:48Speaker 6: The only way you could fake it, because of course
- 59:50Speaker 6: the cops fucked up, And they never got him in custody.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Over and over again.
- 59:55Speaker 6: And it's like, why would he never be in custody?
- 59:57Speaker 6: Which is why her parents made that bill, which I
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: didn't understand. I was like, what's this bill about? And
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: Julie's like, that's so that if somebody's missing, you can
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: go to their immediate partner or whoever they're with.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: And ask the 11 questions, which we never found out
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: what the 11 questions were. Which if those cops had
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: asked even then, because even going back to when those
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: cops fucked up in Utah, he said, she's crazy.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I was defending myself.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: Why are you believing him? Like, it's... It's over and
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: over and over again. And even with the parents, you
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: just allowed that to happen. And then you're surveilling the
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: house and you didn't see him leave?
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: You didn't see him leave.
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: So I'm saying that the whole country was on it
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: and we had a bloodlust for justice. I mean, I
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: remember exactly where I was sitting when I heard the
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: story before she had been found dead.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: And you're just like, please, God, please, God, please, God,
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: let's hope she ran away with someone.
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: And then you're like, you know, and the way it
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: played out and then he ends up dead and nobody
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: knows what to do with himself. And it's like, you
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: never saw him leave the house. Why was he not
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: already arrested? Why was he not just in custody?
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: For just stealing her van.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: Why didn't you just arrest him for stealing the van?
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: You knew it was in her name and you still
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: walked away from the house.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Do you remember all the other stories that create the
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: lesbian couple that were also murdered? That was like somewhere
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: on their path and they never found out who killed them.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: And that one guy went missing, too, up there, too.
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: In that same park.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: And then there was also— when all the TikToks were going on,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: people thought that maybe there was, like, a bunker behind here,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: and he was actually in there for a while. Oh,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: my gosh. Living safely, but I don't think that really
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: matters now.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: I just know from the.
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: Gilgo Beach, whatever that beach thing is, there's been so
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: many proven times.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Gilgo Beach? Gilgo Beach murderer. Oh, yeah.
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: The cops will do— in that case— The head of the
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: police department of that small town.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: Was arrested. And so was the DA of that town.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: They were literally arrested.
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: And they never wanted the FBI involved because they themselves
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: were doing their own crime.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: So they didn't let the FBI get involved.
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: And it's like police will cover stuff up if they
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: know the whole entire country is going to like come
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: for them, come for them. They'll be like, yep, we
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: found the body and he's dead. And they won't admit
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: that they let this guy slip through their fingers because
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: they simply wouldn't. walk up to the, they wouldn't even
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: go up to the parents' door. They're standing outside the
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: screen like, um, can we talk to you? I'm like,
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: a young girl is missing and the van is out front.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Are you kidding? I mean, kidding. And that they, yeah,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: that they immediately ghosted them and everything and didn't say anything.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I mean, so, you know, the question is to parents, like,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: your son calls you and he's like, oh my God,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: you know, we were hiking and let's just say he
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: said this. mom, I don't know what to do. You know,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Gabby and I, and maybe he says he didn't kill her.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Maybe he says we were hiking and she slipped and
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: you know, whatever. And now I didn't know what to
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: do because she, let's just say he said what he
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: said in the letter. She was slipping and she fell.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: And so somehow I ended her life. Like you would
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: like a deer or something, which makes no sense, but
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: whatever he might've said, maybe, maybe he said she was
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: hitting me mom and I hit her and she hit
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: a rock and now she's dead. I mean, if I
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: was in that position, pray that I never am, I mean,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: the first thing I would be is we're hanging up
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: right now. You're going to meet with an attorney right
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: now because there might be something more in your story
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: if we go now with the evidence, if we go
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: find her right now, whether he's telling the truth or not,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: but maybe a defense attorney could build a case for
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: a non-premeditated murder. A non-premeditated murder could have gotten him
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: 10 years and he still would have been out by
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: 40 and had a life and you could still visit him.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: So the fact that they thought, no, let's cover it
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: up and let's not answer these poor parents of where
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: their 22-year-old daughter is for three weeks or whatever the
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: fuck it was. Like, they're awful, but we knew they
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: were weird because she said when she was staying with
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: them that the mom was cold and strange. The sister,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: we saw the text between the sister and the mom, like, joking, like, oh,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: the FBI thought it was Brian leaving, but it was
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: actually you or something. It was so.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: And you know it was her. You just know it
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: was her.
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: Because they never saw him leave, and you know it
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: was her. We saw them coming in and out.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Of that house. So wait, what was it? They thought
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: it was him leaving, and she made herself look like him?
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Was this like a.
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: No, they thought.
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: that when he left supposedly and took that Mustang to
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: go to the park.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Oh, for a hike.
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: That the, yeah, where he eventually, they shot himself, but
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: no gun was ever found. But the body was completely
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: decomposed in 37 days, even though when they found Gabby's
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: body 30 days later, she wasn't decomposed at all.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Yes. So his body, well, in defense of that, he
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: was in a completely wet state.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Okay, fine, but all of his stuff was there.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: That's true.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: He had a waterproof bag to make sure that, whatever.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: His letter of saying, I put her out of her misery.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Where's the gun?
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: And I remember when they found his body, and it
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: was completely weird that the parents, the minute they let
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: the public in, the parents went.
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: And the police searched the whole area.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: For 19 days!
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: The lesbian FBI lady is like, we searched everywhere, but
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: it was wet.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: For 19 days.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: Showing them up to water to hear.
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: But the body's a mile, with all of his belongings,
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: a mile from his car, and they didn't find that?
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Less than. I mean... I think the parents have their suspicions.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I don't know that they're totally convinced he's dead, but
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I think they got paid by the police department in
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: a settlement. I think they got a settlement from the,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: because I read, but I don't know what it is,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: from the laundry parent, the parents, I don't know, from
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: their homeowners or how much money they had. Brian, how
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: do you say his name?
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: It's laundry, I guess.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: And they got paid for this documentary. I would hope
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: that they did. It's their story. They wouldn't have it
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: without them. And I'm not saying they did it for money,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: but maybe they're just like, we can't prove that it
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: wasn't him. I don't know. So I don't know, but
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: it is suspicious. Do you think it was his body
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: or not? I don't think there was a body there,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: me personally. That's a lot of people to cover up.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: That's like autopsy and scientists. I think, no, it was
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: his body. I want to think it's not. But I
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: think he killed himself. I'm just shocked he killed himself.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Like the first week. I don't think he was at
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: the house ever. I think that's why it was more decomposed.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: I'm just so surprised he would even have the balls
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: to kill himself. He was such a pussy that I
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: just can't believe he did it. So I want to
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: believe he's alive so they can find him and kill him.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I think suicide can, yeah, if you were not such
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: a pussy, then you would stand up and you would
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: do your time and maybe be a spokesperson for like Not,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: you know, getting yourself in a position with a loved
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: one there where you feel like, I don't know, you know,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: because it's really there's so many, you know, look, a
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: lot of we all know how much how many times
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: this happens in a relationship. And it oftentimes it's so classic.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: It's the girl thinks he's great. It's the first guy
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: that really likes her. She just likes having a boyfriend.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: He realizes that she's out of his league and too
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: good for him. She starts to mature and grow and
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: realize she does deserve better. She would like someone that
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: has a house and has a career. And then they're like, no,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: because you're the only thing that makes me successful is you.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: So I'm going to isolate you from your friends and
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: do everything to keep you down so that you stay.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: And when finally the girl is like, fuck you, I'm done.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: And they snap. It's horrible. What about how they went camping?
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: His family, they all went out into the middle of nowhere.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: After she was missing. And the sisters out there.
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: Are like, oh, well, I just went with my kids
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: for six hours. It's like they were emptying stuff into
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: the lake or the river.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: They were making a plan. They were all covered. They
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: all knew. They knew at the 55-minute call that she
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: was dead that day. Yes, 100%. Yes. And he killed
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: her in cold blood. Yes. She didn't fall. No. And
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: even then. But if he would have been honest right
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: off the bat. I think there would be a very
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: good case to say it was not premeditated. He did
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: not take her in the van to kill her. He
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: could have. It could have been very much crime of
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: passion snapped, which is not premeditated.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: But he still spent his life in jail.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: No, he would have been in jail. But I'm saying, like,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: if he would have done the right thing right away,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: then there could have been a good case of, like,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: this guy doesn't deserve to spend the rest of his
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: life in jail. At least they could still visit and
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: talk to their son. You know, the Petito parents can't.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: That's why I didn't think he killed himself, because he
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: was such a pussy. He couldn't even... face the consequences
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: of anything. He couldn't even come up with like a, any,
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: he couldn't do anything without calling his mommy for an hour.
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: I'm like, there's no way that guy has the balls
- 1:08:56Speaker 6: to kill himself. He was such a loser.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Like, in every way.
- 1:09:01Speaker 6: I think killing yourself is freaking scary. And I mean,
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: and again, we don't know where, what, where's the gun?
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Why was the gun? Where'd he get the gun? Whose
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: gun was it?
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: And where where's the gun that he shot himself in
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: the head with? Why would you be like, we found
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: his backpack and we found this. We found his shoes
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: and they didn't get washed away in the 10 day
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: torrential downpour. Everything was still there.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: But I hope he's alive. I hope he's alive. I
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: hope that those two bald and he's listening to Juicy Scoop.
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: I hope so, because if you are, I hope that
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: those two bald dads have a P.I.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Right now on the case that they aren't talking about.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: And they're going to hunt his ass down and they're
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: going to do in the bedroom style killing.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: And you remember that movie?
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: In the bedroom. No.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: Oh God.
- 1:09:46Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: I put it on the bedroom, put it on the list.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: The dad, the parents, a slow burn space second. I
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: can't remember the guy's name. Their daughter gets murdered.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: You know what? I think I remember seeing the trailer,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: but I never saw it. So I'm going to watch it.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: I will not give you the spoiler. I'm going to
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: watch it. Um, so satisfying little update. Um, Dave Grohl
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: cheated on his wife and had a one-year-old baby that
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: he announced about a little while ago. And there were
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: rumors that it was a 19-year-old.
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: No.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: She is 38. She is– I've read a few things.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: All we know from New York Post is her name
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: is Jennifer Young. She's 38 and born in Florida and
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: lives in L.A. with their child. Okay? But I've heard
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: that she was a fan. And I also read somewhere–
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: don't know if this is true– But that she was
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: his mother's caregiver. Oh. So he's coming over and, you know.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: That old chestnut. And then that starts. That old chestnut.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: It's either the daddy or now the elderly caregiver, like
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: just the proximity of like how lazy do you have
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: to be? And that we but then look, I think
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: it's been clear. He always he went out of his way,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: which I was always suspicious of because everyone at Chelsea,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: they loved him because he did a week of shows.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: And I was like, whatever. Like, I didn't think it
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: was that great. Everyone but Courtney Love and I were
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: like a little suspicious. And he was always so about, oh,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: my God, he's the rock and roll, like, but perfect dad.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: He shows up at the Sherman Oak School and, like,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: flips the burgers for Chili Dave. And, oh, he's so cool,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: but he's fucking damn cool. But he's, like, making burgers
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: for the kids. No, he was a serial cheater. There's
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: evidence all about it. And, you know, hopefully he's a
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: good dad to all these kids, but he's a serial cheater.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Is he staying with the wife or the— They haven't
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: gotten divorced yet. They were seen in a car talking.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: But then there was something that they were hanging out together, too.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: So who knows? But there's a little update. Meghan Markle
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: has rebranded her American Orchard Jam Company or whatever it
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: is to As Ever. And she posted this like this
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: thing of her inspiration board, like a Pinterest or whatever.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: And on it, she has some fun little things. Like
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: little sayings like happiness looks gorgeous on you or you
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: cannot make everybody happy. You are not a jar of Nutella.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: So these are the hints. These are, oh, is she
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: going to make her own Nutella type of thing? And
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: they said, no, the first brand is going to be
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: a raspberry jam. Shh, don't tell anybody. The world has
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: been waiting for Meghan Markle's raspberry jam. The depth. I mean,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I cannot stand Meghan Markle. I mean, I'm sorry. I
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: just cannot deal with her. When she married him, I
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: was all for it. I liked the wedding. I liked
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: her choice of dress because I predicted her neckline and
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: had evidence to prove it. I didn't understand why Phil
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: didn't like her. And then, you know, now I'm just like.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Now I just hate when like. in this day and
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: age when like stars of any age, like get on
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: the social media train, like late in the game. And then,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: but they're basically like copying other people that truly are authentic,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: like doing their social media, like with a phone. And
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: then like, you know, like I literally think she said, Harry,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: like make sure we can hear her in the back.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Make sure we have like some little kid go in
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: the back and like all like literally she studied it.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Cause I think she is, extremely inauthentic. That's what I think.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: So is that why you don't like her?
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: That's why I can't stand her. I think she's not authentic.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: And that's just that she's.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Also like, um, like we need our privacy. Like I
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: should think she completely and really don't care. Yeah. All
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: the hype is over with. We don't care. And you just,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: you ruined a family. I mean, I hate to say it.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I know that there's all kinds of issues involved. Yes.
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: And there's all kinds of grievances that are real. But
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: I don't understand why you didn't stay in that family
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: and make the changes that needed to be changed rather
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: than pussing out and leaving.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Because it wasn't as fun as she thought. And there
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: you go. And that's not even authentic. Yeah, it was
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: a lot more work. It was a lot more rainy days.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: It was a lot of talking to uninteresting people. as
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: your meet and greets or whatever it was, she had
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: to go to like weird places and hello. Right. And
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: it was, she was like, I lived a life of
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: being like a BC actress and that was way more
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: fun than this. And so then along with everything else
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: and then, you know, feeling whatever her legit things are that,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: you know, all the articles and everything, not feeling supportive,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I give her that. But she was like, no, let's
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: go to back. Let's go to Montecito and be with
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: a cool, successful millennials and then become the Kardashians and
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: do a big thing. And she did for a while.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: She was winning. She had all the Netflix deals, these
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: hundred million dollar podcasts where she wasn't even really interviewing them,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: all of it. And now the final thing is this
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: food show and jams. Wow. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:15:09Speaker 6: I wonder if he feels coming here that he's like,
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: this isn't as fun as I thought it would be.
- 1:15:13Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: Well, I think she's also realizing like, yeah, it's more
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: interesting when you're a really when you were a prince
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: and we were doing princely things and people wanted to
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: be our friends. Like everybody's like doesn't really want to
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: be the friend or take photos with them. You know,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: they were totally people that like would meet like this.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: This happened where I heard from a couple of people
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: that knew rich millennial type successful people out there. And
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: she would meet them, you know, realize they have a
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: home in Aspen or a jet or whatever. And then
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: he would do the follow up. Oh, Megan said she
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: had such a great chat with you. And we've been
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: looking to go to Aspen. We just don't know where
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: to stay. And then they'd be like, well, we're not
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: using our house. You can have the house and the
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: staff and everything. Oh, that'd be wonderful. And how exactly
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: do we get there? Do you guys take a jet?
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: And then they would get the free jet.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: But then those people after one or two times. are like,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: this friendship isn't continuing.
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: So we'll see what happens, but there's some scoop for you. Okay,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Menendez Brothers, just to give you the update. So the
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: new DA said that he does not support a new trial.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: They wanted to do a new trial because of two things.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: One is the band member that was in Menudo did
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: an affidavit saying that he was sexually assaulted, everything, by
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: the dad, Jose Menendez, who was in the music industry
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: and was in charge of all of that. Also a
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: good documentary to watch. Yes. And then the other one
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: was there was a letter that his aunts or whatever
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: have found that was sent to a cousin who has
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: now died that he sent, Eric sent to his cousin
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: in 1988. The murder was in 89. That says he
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: is being molested.
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: So.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: The DA is saying a couple things. He's saying even
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: if they were molested, there isn't enough evidence to then
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: redo the trial because even if they were molested, it
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: doesn't take away the fact that, this is what Matt
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Murphy said, that they killed for money because otherwise you
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: would have let the mom live. The motivation for the
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: killing was the $ 15 million, according to the prosecution. It
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: wasn't that they thought they were going to die that day.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: They went and reloaded the gun and went back and
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: finished off the mother. Because if they just killed the dad,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: the mom would have gotten the $ 15 million. But if
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: they're both dead, they get the $ 15 million. And because
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: the way the law is written is if you kill
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: for money, it changes whatever, the legality of it. So
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: he does not recommend a new trial. However, And also
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: he said, then why wasn't that letter brought up during
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: two trials? I had thought that it was. If they
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: talked all about their abuse, why didn't Eric go? He's
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: sitting in there for years. Wait a minute. I sat
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: down and wrote a long letter to my cousin a
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: year prior saying it out. You've got to find the letter.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Or my cousin's got to get on the stand, which
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: the cousin did, and say he sent me a letter.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: I don't know where it is. We moved. We're looking
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: for it. But he sent me a letter. There were
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: cousins that did corroborate.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: But the letter wasn't brought up. So there's like, hmm,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: was this letter created? Was this letter from a different
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: date that was like, created? We don't know. I can
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: see why ants and stuff. And, like, listen, if they
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: got out tomorrow, I wouldn't be upset about it. I
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: feel like they're not a threat. But the law is
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: the law. So the DA is saying that. But in March,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: a board will decide if they should be resentenced. And
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: if they get resentenced... A.K.A. released. If they get resentenced,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: where they change what it is, then the time would
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: have been done. But Gavin Newsom has to make the
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: final yes or no if they get out. So there's
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: still a chance they could get out in March. But
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: there will not be a new trial.
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: They don't want to get sued. They're going to be like,
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: we'll let you out. We won't retry you.
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: I hope so.
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: But they're going to have to sign something where they
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: don't get sued. Like where they don't sue.
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: Oh, right.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: Because there's a new trial. Can they also sign something
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: where they don't get a podcast deal?
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: That's a good idea.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Because that's going to happen. Watch over kill. I'm telling you,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: I've been saying the Menendez brothers will absolutely have a podcast.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: It's a no brainer. It will be a bidding war
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: of them telling all their stories, interviewing other people that
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: get out of prison, all of it.
- 1:19:47Speaker 6: I feel like in my heart, It's like Drake and
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: Brandon getting out. Because of how many times you have said,
- 1:19:53Speaker 6: I hope you guys stay close.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: I just want them to stay close. I actually want
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: them to do a podcast together just so they get
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: to see each other every day. I'm like.
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my God, Drake and Brandon, they're finally
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: getting out.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Yeah, they're probably getting out.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: They both got married, right? While they're in there.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: I hope they get out. I hope they get out.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: And you know what?
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: Whether it was for money or whatever, the mother knew.
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: They spent enough time there. When the abuse is detailed,
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: the systematic shit that they went through I'm really, I'm sorry.
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: The mom was a monster.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: I mean, I believe they were abused for sure, but
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I understand the legal stuff. I get it.
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: But the type of, and the DA, come on, man,
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: like in the type of abuse that they suffered and that,
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: that Minuto kid suffered and what that dad did, the
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: mom knew people knew like they've spent the time, let
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: them out.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: They did it. So let's go. When I, when both
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: the boys watch the, you know, um, Ryan Murphy and, um,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: You know, when I watched it, I was like, you know,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: of course thinking about Drake and Brandon. Not being molested,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: but if they were in this thing. And I was like, Drake,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: when you watched it, did you feel for Lyle when dumb,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: dumb Eric went and spilled the beans? Because if it
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: wasn't for Eric telling the therapist... Right. They really didn't
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: have any. They did not have. They weren't really on
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: the trail. They still thought maybe some mafioso people came
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: in and was going to kill them. So it wasn't
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: until the therapist got told and then felt like his like,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: you know, whatever his reasons were. But Eric's like, you know,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Lyle was just like, but that was the other thing
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: that the D.A. said, that when they did share it
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: with with the therapist at that point, he didn't say
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: then to the therapist, it's because we were being molested.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: He just said we did it. And so they were
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: all and that was all being taped and stuff. So
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: it was all those kind of things that got them convicted.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: But 35 years later. Yeah, we'll see. I bet Newsom
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: lets them out. So we are going to have so
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: much fun in our cute outfits in Palm Springs at
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Alga Caliente this Saturday, March 1st. And then in between
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: then and after, I hope you guys are following Brady
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: and Julie. And tell them everything that you've got going
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: and where they can listen to all your fun. Cause
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: you guys are doing so much. Well, we've got a
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: couple of shows. We have a couple of podcasts.
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: One is the dumb gay podcast, which right now is,
- 1:22:18Speaker 4: is where we're leaning into the politics right now. So
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: if you're a, You know, a person who's not really
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: into politics, we do lean liberal, but you want to

- 1:22:43Speaker 4: We are definitely, you know, giving our takes and but
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: also trying to be informative, but also.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Trying to be funny. We're not NPR.
- 1:22:51Speaker 5: Okay?
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: We're not NPR. And then we have our Patreon, which
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: we do three shows a week. We have video. We
