- 0:02SPEAKER_00: So who's the guy?
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Good morning, good morning.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Who's the guy?
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Who's what guy?
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: The guy working on the unstable qubit.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, let me tell you this real quick.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm the the the sound quality is about to get better because I'm gonna get off a breaker.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Uh let's see.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: Boom.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: Uh I don't know.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: Some guys on YouTube.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's the problem with America today, right?
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: Like the world just go on to uh YouTube, see something, and you think it's real, you know?
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Well, but you said what happened to you.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Yes, unstable qubits.
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: Surface layer.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: Oh, there's the guy that's he's making a surface layer to go to stabilize the qubits, a qubit stabilizer.
- 0:55SPEAKER_02: It's kind of a big deal, really.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: It solved the whole problem of the instability.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Well, they also have to figure out how to make it run in less than like 2,000 below zero, but okay.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: If you think to that part yet, I didn't get to that part yet.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: If you think the AI data centers are gonna take some some energy, holy moly.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: The qubit, the qubit uh quantum computing, yeah, that those little chips that were in your phone, uh you know, you'll I don't know.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: That's the problem.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: You'll get like one second of talk time, and then you have to charge it up again.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, you mean when you're uh when you're like uh uh we won't have to talk on the phone, we can just come, I can just come where you are.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Well, I or if QBits if if qubit computing is what it says it is, maybe you and I can just like think about it.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: And we can think about it.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: You and it and it'll be like, or you could teleport.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Maybe you would be able to teleport.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: Well, that's yeah, the teleportation seems like the most interesting aspect to me.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I don't know anything about it, just what I heard from you and what I saw in that one two-minute short video.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: We should keep we should keep our I mean our viewers want to know things and and trust me.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Maybe if our viewers knew things about quantum computing and and they walk around and they talk about quantum computing, and people are like, What?
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: You know something about quantum computing?
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: How do you know anything about that?
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: I've never heard anything about it, and then they say, Oh, well, we uh you know, I listen to this podcast, and they're they they they talk about the future.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, about the podcast, yeah, and the past.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: We talk about the past, like what's your favorite?
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: About the podcast, uh, about the name regarding the name.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: What do we got?
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: I just I was I'm mowing my grass over here.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm going on a little trip, and so I'm trying to get my grass mode real low.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: And it's taking a lot longer than usual, but I had then an idea struck me, and I it was uh let me think of how to put it.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: Um a new name.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: Like I I'm not really playing Satchel on this podcast.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: Satchel's a different character.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: I I play him at a p at a restaurant, right?
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: I thought that's a boss, and he's the like artist, and da-da-da.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: This is a different role.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: I thought satchel was just your name that you chose.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: No, we went over this.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: Yes, I know you chose that name.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Your name is Yeah, but now but for this for this purpose, yeah, but for this purpose, Steve is better.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, you want to be Steve.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: You want to be the PH Steve.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: No, no, I just want to be the Steve.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: S-T-E-V-E.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: So what about Steve 8?
- 3:43SPEAKER_02: That's the name, dude.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Steve 8.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Steve 8.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: It covers both eights and both Steves at the same time.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Well, remember, I was saying S8 12, S8 squared.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: I don't want any squared.
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: I have a bad history with squared.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Steve 8.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Or or we go, we go, or we go like 8-minute chat, or something like, you know, your other nut your other one, number one podcast for people.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: You know, it we go kind of like you can't just be a podcast like promoting another podcast all the time, though, you know.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: No, we're not like I mean I guess you could you could.
- 4:25SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's kind of a novel idea, really.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: If if our name, if our name was eight eight-minute chat, eight-minute daily chat.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: No, that's too much, dude.
- 4:33SPEAKER_02: Guess what?
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: What's debate?
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: It's like that's it.
- 4:37SPEAKER_02: It's perfect.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: I'm telling you, think about it.
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: I don't like whatever you're saying.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: I don't like, I don't like those words because I figured it out and I'm a branding guy.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: I just pulled up a nice big weed.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: But anyway, hey, I'm not gonna bully you into it.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: Well, it's up for debate and discussion.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: Well, but but yeah, but we you know that you're gonna have to come up with something better than Steve 8, and it wasn't what you were saying.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: About Steve used you using Viv with your name when you really should be not using you really feel that strongly, you couldn't even put it into a podcast title.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Ah well, I don't your name is Stefan.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: Is that's your name?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Your name is Stephen.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: My mom named me after Steven in the Bible.
- 5:17SPEAKER_02: His name is Stephen, it's pronounced Stephen.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Yes, okay, but it's still spelled with a pH.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: And you and you don't shorten Stefan with Steve with a V.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: I just don't think uh no.
- 5:28SPEAKER_02: All right, well, well, I guess that's a pretty good argument.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: I don't think you do.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, no, listen, Steve is short for Steven with pH all the time.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: Ask any Steven you know, I'll do a Twitter poll.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: How about that?
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: And I'll find out some more percentages so that I can come back and report to you that like Steve is an accepted uh short name for Stephen with pH.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: Every Stephen, probably 80% of the Stevens go by Steve.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: That's just here's my question.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: So is your is your on your maybe I'm wrong.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: I could it could be to 10%.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm just crazy.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: I don't know on your um birth certificate.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Is it pH?
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, and then you're Stephan.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: And so you would be we would call you Stephanie.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you can you can pronounce it that way, I guess.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Let's call it we'd call you Steph.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: You can pronounce you can pronounce it Stefan.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: You're you know, Stephanie.
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, he he's actually a Stephen, he's a Stephen with PH.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Steph Curry, yeah.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: I'm guarantee you his lame name is Stefan and his short name is Steph.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's true, right?
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: Actually, but that doesn't mean it's the put like the right example, it's the only example.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 6:43SPEAKER_02: I don't know either.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: That's why that's why but Steve 8 is a cool name, whether you agree with it yet or not, and we it could be discussed, but that's the cool name.
- 6:51SPEAKER_02: I'm just saying, Steve 8.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: I know the cool names when I hear him.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: Steve 8 is my whole life for 58 years I've gone by Steve to have these people.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Oh, and guess what?
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: I just realized I'm not 62.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm 61.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: All right, so we have a hundred and uh do you think it's weird that I don't know what what age I am?
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Isn't that no, not of your age?
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, I don't know.
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: So it's I mean, it's got it how long has it been?
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: Like we've been talking here for like 30 minutes.
- 7:25SPEAKER_02: Can't believe this.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: How many, how many, how many, um I how many weeds have to get back to mo many what?
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: How many weeds have you pulled up?
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: Oh, well, honestly, I came out through the grass.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: When I'm pulling weeds that I got I'm getting sidetracked just because it's but uh partly I was pulling weeds.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: So you know what?
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: There's seeds in the weeds, and I want to get the right seeds out and put them in a different location before I mow it at that location, basically.
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: So now I'm all of a sudden you're weeding, you're like, what happened?
