- 0:18Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Pandemonium, the pop culture game show
- 0:22Speaker 1: that shines a spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your
- 0:25Speaker 1: games Master, and mister Steel your princess Matt Watson. That's
- 0:30Speaker 1: why I was kicked out of England. Actually, but games
- 0:33Speaker 1: Master needs games and games need players, so please welcome first.
- 0:37Speaker 1: He is a podcaster, writer, and comic book creator, and
- 0:40Speaker 1: his porn star name is blaster Master. It's Ben Robinson.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Yeah, damn right, it is a love blaster Master. That's
- 0:46Speaker 2: a great guy.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Excellent. I made a good choice. He is a podcaster,
- 0:51Speaker 1: a grand rapidion, and a video game record holder, and
- 0:55Speaker 1: his porn star name is doctor Mario. It's Willy Wilhelmstein.
- 0:59Speaker 3: That the Hello. Yeah, I'll play it. Doctor.
- 1:04Speaker 1: You played doctor Nice. Nice. It sounded a bit pollen esque.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I was just explanation of the joke, because it's always
- 1:09Speaker 1: good when you explain a joke. Lots of Nez titles
- 1:12Speaker 1: seemed like the names of pollen stars. Just a little
- 1:16Speaker 1: observation there for you. Anyway, enough about male pallen stars.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Ben Willie, how are you doing.
- 1:21Speaker 3: I'm doing great, doing wonderful. It's a beautiful day of today.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Actually, yes, it is height of summer. Loving it.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah, like I generally don't like summer, but I'm I'm
- 1:31Speaker 2: pretty happy right now.
- 1:32Speaker 3: So we're sitting indoors and soundproof rooms to record.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly like true gamers. Okay, well, we're here to
- 1:41Speaker 1: talk about the Nintendo Entertainment System. The Nez is the
- 1:45Speaker 1: subject of today's games Ben. Are you you a Nez fan?
- 1:49Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah it was the Uh it wasn't the first
- 1:51Speaker 2: console I owned, but it was the first one that
- 1:54Speaker 2: I bought brand new.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Saved up a bunch of money and Karents took me
- 1:58Speaker 2: to Toys r Us and I bought myself a nice,
- 2:00Speaker 2: brand new Nintendo Entertainment System with Castlevania three, Dracula's Curse.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Nice, good, good memories buying it is the what was
- 2:09Speaker 1: your first console that you didn't buy.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Out of story twenty six hundred? Got it at a
- 2:13Speaker 2: game of course?
- 2:14Speaker 1: Yeah, of course, my mind only goes back to me.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Nezz is like the oldest console that can possibly be.
- 2:21Speaker 1: That's the one everyone's oldest siblings had, you.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Know, Yeah, yeah, it was the was the one that
- 2:25Speaker 2: got rid of joysticks. I remember being like a three
- 2:28Speaker 2: year old and just hurting my hand playing with that
- 2:31Speaker 2: stiff ass fucking Atari joystick. You had to hold the
- 2:33Speaker 2: basin place and move the joystick around, so it took
- 2:36Speaker 2: all my strength.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Which is exactly why your forearms are so buff right, Yes.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Like Papa, I was also trying to think of a
- 2:43Speaker 1: wan king Joe. What about yourself, Willie nes Fan?
- 2:48Speaker 3: I am an s fan. I've always been a gamer,
- 2:51Speaker 3: and the NES though, is the one system that I've
- 2:53Speaker 3: never owned myself.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Interesting, well, I've.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Won pretty much every other system out there, but this
- 3:00Speaker 3: one I've always played over at friends houses or you know,
- 3:03Speaker 3: maybe an emulator here or there for Partridges I had
- 3:06Speaker 3: in the closet.
- 3:07Speaker 1: For sure. For sure. You're also a video game record holder,
- 3:14Speaker 1: is one of the many titles you have to your name.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Were any of those games Nez games at all? No?
- 3:20Speaker 3: No, they were not. I was a referee for Twin
- 3:23Speaker 3: Galaxies and focused mostly on Wei games, We Wear games
- 3:27Speaker 3: and Nintendo DS game.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Okay, okay, you want to rattle off any records up
- 3:31Speaker 1: top here?
- 3:32Speaker 3: Walter Day printed a trading card for me for Evasive Space,
- 3:36Speaker 3: a little known we Wear game where you're like an
- 3:39Speaker 3: aspird ship but you can't shoot you're just going through
- 3:42Speaker 3: a maze. And okay, I only hold the world record
- 3:44Speaker 3: because nobody else went for it.
- 3:48Speaker 1: That's the best way to do it. Hey, I think
- 3:52Speaker 1: I have third in the world co op Crash Bash
- 3:55Speaker 1: the Crash Bandicoot party game for that exact same reason,
- 3:59Speaker 1: because only five people Ball had another friend to attempt
- 4:01Speaker 1: it with.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I rented there one once from a Blockbuster video that
- 4:07Speaker 3: rented Nintendo DS games. I only had it for a weekend,
- 4:10Speaker 3: but I said a couple inaugural world records on it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Nice. All right, Well, look there are some impressive records
- 4:16Speaker 1: that you were fighting against tens of thousands of people
- 4:19Speaker 1: to achieve. So you're going to be a Titanus team
- 4:23Speaker 1: I think yourself and Ben, Yeah, we only need to
- 4:25Speaker 1: beat two today, easy. So let's meet your opponents. He
- 4:29Speaker 1: is an artist, podcaster, and comic book creator and his
- 4:33Speaker 1: porn star name is Excite Bike. It's John Williams, I
- 4:37Speaker 1: love it, Hello John, Hey, And he is a podcaster,
- 4:42Speaker 1: voice actor, and beef Cheek brother and his porn star
- 4:45Speaker 1: name is Doug Hunt Duck Hunt.
- 4:50Speaker 4: I was it was so sad to see which one
- 4:52Speaker 4: you had for me. I was like going through game
- 4:54Speaker 4: names head.
- 4:57Speaker 1: That's just very silly, very silly. Welcome as always, John
- 5:00Speaker 1: and Drew, how are you both?
- 5:02Speaker 4: I'm doing good as a set of the top. The
- 5:03Speaker 4: weather's nice outside, so we're all cooped up inside. Yes, yeah,
- 5:06Speaker 4: I'm doing well.
- 5:07Speaker 5: I've been stuck at home for for a little bit,
- 5:10Speaker 5: so I'm happy to be out interacting with people.
- 5:13Speaker 1: This is fun. Yes, this is indoors, but it is
- 5:15Speaker 1: still socializing. They cannot take that away from us. I'm
- 5:19Speaker 1: going to ask you guys the same question. I need
- 5:21Speaker 1: to know how big of a NEZ fan you both asked? So, John,
- 5:24Speaker 1: how how about you nes fan? Oh? Yeah, yeah, absolutely
- 5:27Speaker 1: I was.
- 5:28Speaker 5: I was born right back in eighty two, so that
- 5:31Speaker 5: was That was definitely the system that I grew up with.
- 5:34Speaker 5: You know, I remember getting it for Christmas. I remember
- 5:37Speaker 5: starting with Mario being flummixed by Zelda and uh spending
- 5:41Speaker 5: way too much time on MegaMan too. Like, yeah, the
- 5:44Speaker 5: nes was huge for me growing up.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah, change change the Game's absolutely changed the game. Drew,
- 5:52Speaker 1: what about yourself, You're a You're a little younger than
- 5:54Speaker 1: everyone I was good at so far. I think it's
- 5:56Speaker 1: fair to say it's.
- 5:57Speaker 4: So weird to be the young one in the group.
- 5:58Speaker 4: For ones like I want this, I like sit around
- 6:01Speaker 4: with friends and like mentioned the s Nests and they
- 6:04Speaker 4: get a look of like what you owned one. It
- 6:06Speaker 4: still do It's behind me somewhere. So for me, the
- 6:09Speaker 4: Snest was my first owned console. The NES was the
- 6:12Speaker 4: thing my like Coo older cousins had, so I got
- 6:14Speaker 4: to play it there. And I think even then, like
- 6:17Speaker 4: the difficulty spike from the like the s Nest up
- 6:20Speaker 4: to the Nest, Like games were way harder back in
- 6:22Speaker 4: the day. I don't care how much younger I was.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I still can't go back to some Nest games and
- 6:26Speaker 4: finish them, Like I don't think i'd be a single
- 6:28Speaker 4: Mega Man on the Nest, but then like the new
- 6:30Speaker 4: Super Mega Man on the Nets like that, those baby games.
- 6:34Speaker 4: So yeah, fond of it, not good at it.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, games did used to be so much more difficult,
- 6:42Speaker 1: so I can only imagine it was. It was worse
- 6:44Speaker 1: with the Nets partly because like you either couldn't save
- 6:46Speaker 1: or you could only save every five hours or something
- 6:49Speaker 1: like that, and that was part of the difficulty.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Yeah, well, most most games you couldn't save at all.
- 6:53Speaker 2: You could get like I remember Dracula's Curse had like
- 6:56Speaker 2: a matrix, and so did Mega Man, where I had
- 6:58Speaker 2: like a little like code matrix that you could in
- 7:00Speaker 2: that would take you back to whatever you'd you'd completed.
- 7:03Speaker 3: A password was fifty characters where the zeros look like
- 7:06Speaker 3: ohs oh yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Notebook where you wrote it down and you've lost that.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Your progress was gone forever.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 5: And for some reason, these dickheads also only gave you
- 7:15Speaker 5: like three continues, like three gameovers, and it's like, why
- 7:19Speaker 5: are you limiting my game overs before I need to
- 7:21Speaker 5: start at the beginning of the game.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Relicive the Arcade era, oh boy, it was contra on
- 7:27Speaker 2: like ten to fifteen minutes. Yeah, if you do the
- 7:29Speaker 2: thirty Lives cheap. Yeah, if you could just blast through it.
- 7:31Speaker 2: So like they needed to make it hard to you know,
- 7:34Speaker 2: get you to put twenty hours into it.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you need to be hard to put twenty quarters
- 7:38Speaker 4: into it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Okay, So John Drew, I think you make a great team.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Two generations of Nintendo play is coming together.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Yeah, let's do this all right.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Seems it is Christmas morning, nineteen eighty eight, and you
- 7:54Speaker 1: spy a relatively large box sitting beneath the tree. Could
- 7:58Speaker 1: it be that Santa has finally brought you the game
- 8:00Speaker 1: games console that your friends with richer parents have been
- 8:02Speaker 1: playing for the last two years. You make your way
- 8:05Speaker 1: over to the box, at first carefully removing the wrapper,
- 8:09Speaker 1: but your excitement gets the better of you, and your
- 8:11Speaker 1: fingertips begin to rip and tear at the packaging until
- 8:14Speaker 1: you reveal an easy bake oven. Your parents don't know you,
- 8:18Speaker 1: and you'll never know love, but cheer up. I'd like
- 8:21Speaker 1: each pad to come up with an Anyes themed team name. Please,
- 8:25Speaker 1: Let's start with Ben and Willie. What have you got?
- 8:27Speaker 2: This was hard for some reason, Like I'm trying to
- 8:29Speaker 2: come up with like any s puns? It was, it
- 8:31Speaker 2: was a little difficult. I only came up with two
- 8:34Speaker 2: and I don't they're not. Neither of them are very good,
- 8:36Speaker 2: so let's see them. Let's start anyway. So I've got
- 8:41Speaker 2: the power gloves just because it was that one accessory
- 8:44Speaker 2: that seemed illusory that I never owned.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Same when it seems so cool, and still plan on
- 8:50Speaker 4: buying one?
- 8:50Speaker 1: Would they?
- 8:51Speaker 2: And then the Wizards like like the Wizard, except with
- 8:55Speaker 2: two z's that's cool, Get a urine and Nintendo Reference
- 8:59Speaker 2: all in one.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I like the power glove as a symbol, but I
- 9:04Speaker 3: had a friend who thought it was the wing and
- 9:06Speaker 3: it was the pea wing, the wings for Mario three.
- 9:11Speaker 3: They thought it was the pea glove.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Oh, the pea glove.
- 9:14Speaker 5: Oh, so how about we be the pea glove Peak Gloves.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Also, you're in reference.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, the.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Peak glove on the Peak Gloves singular role. I think
- 9:26Speaker 1: singular's funny. It's singular, all right, how many do you need?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Really?
- 9:31Speaker 1: It almost it also sounds like like the name of
- 9:34Speaker 1: your your hip.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Hop group, Peak Glove in the club.
- 9:40Speaker 1: They are in the club. We've got the Peak Glove.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Let's find out who they'll be facing, John Drew, what
- 9:44Speaker 1: do you go? Do you want to go first? Drew?
- 9:46Speaker 1: I can't see any facial cues. That's all good.
- 9:49Speaker 4: I got a few bad ones and one that I'm
- 9:51Speaker 4: kind of proud of, so kind of doing the same thing,
- 9:54Speaker 4: looking for some famous games that we can kind of
- 9:56Speaker 4: pun off of. Of course, the most infamous game, Action
- 9:59Speaker 4: fifty I kind of like the answers fifty two just
- 10:02Speaker 4: was the only thing I can think of the word with.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Then yeah, and then two of my favorite stupid lines
- 10:07Speaker 4: from games are the I believe it's from from Pitt
- 10:12Speaker 4: the Kiddigris, the eight Plant Curse, so just eight plant curses,
- 10:16Speaker 4: a plant cursed, or the infamous NPC in the original Zelda.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Actually I think it's on the second one, The Adventures
- 10:22Speaker 4: of Link the I Am Error, so we could be
- 10:25Speaker 4: the we am error. Then you have a really bad
- 10:31Speaker 4: pun that I found that I won't take credit for,
- 10:33Speaker 4: but I will share. Is the Hello darkness my old friends?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Wait, what's the what's the Nintendo reference though? Darkness?
- 10:40Speaker 4: Hello Darkness my old friend. Honestly, the one I'm the
- 10:45Speaker 4: most proud of. It is a mouthful, and I know
- 10:46Speaker 4: Matt will hates. So what's almost the funniest one is
- 10:48Speaker 4: I'm sorry, but our team name is in another castle?
- 10:53Speaker 1: That would annoy me? John, Have you got.
- 10:56Speaker 5: I've got well? I a word popped in my head.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Was one of my one of my earliest emulators that
- 11:02Speaker 5: I ever used for Nintendo, And in honor of it
- 11:05Speaker 5: being such a sausage fest around here, I've gott nesticle.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Let's see, I've also got you know. This is just
- 11:13Speaker 5: the name of a of a game that I had
- 11:14Speaker 5: when I was a kid that I don't think anyone
- 11:17Speaker 5: else owned at all, but it was called bad Dudes.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Yeah, are you abandoned to save the President?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Oh you do know it? I was gonna say, I'm like,
- 11:29Speaker 1: is I know the line? Is it from that game? Oh?
- 11:31Speaker 3: God, you get to Ronald Reagan.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Ultimate Reward?
- 11:38Speaker 5: And then the last one I had was kind of
- 11:39Speaker 5: a mouthful, but it was no power Glove, no power love.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Could go for a double fisting. I'd like a lot
- 11:51Speaker 1: of those from both of you. I like a lot
- 11:53Speaker 1: of those names.
- 11:54Speaker 5: I'm already I'm already spaced and Drew, you had one
- 11:56Speaker 5: that I really liked. It was the it was the
- 11:58Speaker 5: one after Eggplant Curse.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I believe.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Oh they we am Error. Yeah, I am a very
- 12:04Speaker 5: large fan of that.
- 12:05Speaker 4: I think it's a fun one. It's a weird one.
- 12:06Speaker 4: It's a little bit nicer on mad as far as
- 12:08Speaker 4: also any yell things later, So I'm cool taking the
- 12:11Speaker 4: view are Yeah.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Yeah, it also sounds like it's like something Bizarro would say.
- 12:15Speaker 4: Yes, we am Error.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I love that. That's such a good team name. And yes,
- 12:20Speaker 1: thankfully mercifully short. Some of the episode titles lately have
- 12:26Speaker 1: been getting very long, so we've got the pea glove
- 12:30Speaker 1: versus we am error the pea glove. I'm just gonna
- 12:33Speaker 1: think of piss the whole time. Mission accomplished, all right,
- 12:38Speaker 1: And if you're listening to this and thinking my first
- 12:41Speaker 1: Nintendo console was a wee more pissed, First of all,
- 12:45Speaker 1: please speak up. We're so old we can't hear you.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And also his order with a little segment we like
- 12:51Speaker 1: to call passing knowledge.
- 12:53Speaker 6: The Nintendo Entertainment System or ANYS, is a Japanese games
- 12:58Speaker 6: console that was first released in nineteen eighty three. The
- 13:01Speaker 6: NES is perhaps most famous for saving the video game industry,
- 13:05Speaker 6: which is pretty ironic considering you couldn't even save your game.
- 13:09Speaker 6: The eight bit console is known for games like Super
- 13:11Speaker 6: Mario Bros. The Legend of Zelda, and also other franchises
- 13:15Speaker 6: that you've never heard of because they aren't popular anymore.
- 13:19Speaker 6: It was a console that brought gaming out of the
- 13:21Speaker 6: arcades and into the home, and then out of the
- 13:24Speaker 6: main living area of the home and into the basement
- 13:27Speaker 6: where it belongs. The NES is known for a wide
- 13:31Speaker 6: range of additional accessories like you'd have for an air
- 13:34Speaker 6: fryer or a high end sex doll, but Sadly, the
- 13:37Speaker 6: Nintendo penis attachment never made.
- 13:39Speaker 1: It to market.
- 13:40Speaker 6: The popularity of the NS didn't end with the eighties,
- 13:43Speaker 6: and many NES games are played on emulators to this day,
- 13:47Speaker 6: and thus the vice grip of nostalgia continues. And now,
- 13:50Speaker 6: if you'll excuse me, it's absolutely necessary that we play Pandemonium.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Thank you, Audra. Just before we get to today's games,
- 14:01Speaker 1: I've asked each player to bring in a muse, something
- 14:03Speaker 1: that inspires them or something they love from this particular fandom.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The Nintendo Entertainment System is inspiring to me because it's
- 14:10Speaker 1: a product that tells you exactly what it is. It's
- 14:13Speaker 1: a system for entertainment. Capitalism would be so much simpler
- 14:18Speaker 1: if all products followed this method. Like cream filling vehicle
- 14:21Speaker 1: system is more useful to me than OREO, like what
- 14:24Speaker 1: the fuck's and Oreo, I have no idea what it is.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Cream filling vehicle system is also my porn name. Ben.
- 14:32Speaker 1: We'll start with you, what's inspiring you from the world
- 14:35Speaker 1: of NS.
- 14:37Speaker 2: So my muse is all of my ring tones and
- 14:40Speaker 2: notifications are a NESH. You know, there's music from any
- 14:46Speaker 2: S games like my Yes. My main ringtone is Fero
- 14:49Speaker 2: Man from Mega Man three, and then like my wife
- 14:52Speaker 2: is the main Caslvania theme, my daughter is the clock
- 14:56Speaker 2: tower level from Caslvania three. Dad is the contra boss music,
- 15:04Speaker 2: and my son's the main you know, the contra main theme.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Oh John's Batman on the end. Oh yes, bubble babble.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Oh nice.
- 15:14Speaker 2: So like, yeah, by by the Nintendo game, I associate
- 15:17Speaker 2: with the people I care about. I get I know
- 15:19Speaker 2: who that you know, know what's coming.
- 15:21Speaker 1: So that's that's awesome. Yeah, you know if that if
- 15:24Speaker 1: the boss music starts playing, you're like, oh shit, what
- 15:26Speaker 1: does Dad want exactly? Oh that's great, That's so awesome,
- 15:33Speaker 1: and like it's good. The consistency is great that it's
- 15:36Speaker 1: from the same fandom across all all Ringtones. Do you
- 15:40Speaker 1: ever hear any of those sounds like out of context
- 15:42Speaker 1: and think, oh shit, they're calling me.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Doesn't pop up much, but I do. It is cool,
- 15:47Speaker 2: Like I'll get a notification every once in a while
- 15:49Speaker 2: and people be like Zelda and I'm like, yeah.
- 15:51Speaker 1: That's right, nice great stuff, great mus great way of
- 15:55Speaker 1: being inspired by loved ones. But it's actually about the
- 15:57Speaker 1: cool Ringtones. They're making a comeback out here Ringtons and
- 15:59Speaker 1: come back. All right, let's move on over to your
- 16:02Speaker 1: p glove teammates, Willie. What have you got? What's inspiring you?
- 16:06Speaker 3: Well, my ringtones are half super Nintendo, So for my muse,
- 16:10Speaker 3: I'm going to go with something different.
- 16:12Speaker 4: I have.
- 16:13Speaker 3: I have the eight vigdo, ANYS style keyboard with a
- 16:18Speaker 3: large button and joystick, which is my main controller for
- 16:22Speaker 3: gaming because lately I've been playing on the PCUFO fifty,
- 16:26Speaker 3: which is retro NYS style games from a fictional company.
- 16:31Speaker 3: So I'm playing any S style games with an NES
- 16:35Speaker 3: themed keyboard.
- 16:37Speaker 1: That's awesome. I think I've heard about this game collection. Yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 1: it's you can just play it with the old keyboard controller.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Yeah, this one has like two big buttons and a joystick,
- 16:47Speaker 3: and so you've programmed the two buttons and it's like
- 16:50Speaker 3: an NES advantage.
- 16:52Speaker 2: So it's like a keyboard with a game pad on it.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Or is like yeah keyboard also or is it just it's.
- 16:57Speaker 3: A full keyboard and the the controller plugs into it.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I will share picts later.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Oh please, hell yeah, let's drop it in the Discord chat. Yeah. Yeah, sweet,
- 17:07Speaker 1: that's very inspiring, Willie. I love remixing old tech for
- 17:11Speaker 1: the modern purpose. Because that's a new game, right that
- 17:13Speaker 1: only came out like last year or something.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Yep, it's a new game. It's a new keyboard too.
- 17:17Speaker 1: But oh sweet, I feel into the idea that it
- 17:21Speaker 1: was an old nes piece of hardware.
- 17:23Speaker 3: No, it just looks like an nes Well.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Look Still very inspiring. Nostalgia is half of what inspires
- 17:29Speaker 1: this entire podcast. So yeah, fantastic stuff from the Pea Glove.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Let's move on over, so we am Era John. What's
- 17:36Speaker 1: inspiring you from the nes Well?
- 17:39Speaker 5: I mean, I hate to sound like like I'm repeating
- 17:42Speaker 5: someone here, but I'm also repeating myself from past episodes.
- 17:45Speaker 5: I I if it weren't for this show, I don't
- 17:48Speaker 5: know if I ever would have realized how much music
- 17:51Speaker 5: means to me in my life, Like in general, it
- 17:53Speaker 5: always comes up because my muse is undoubtedly Nintendo music.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Like it is. It's so catchy, you know what.
- 18:01Speaker 5: They only have four tracks back then with their beat,
- 18:04Speaker 5: boot beeps and uh anything from Contra to Mario to
- 18:08Speaker 5: Zelda to Bubble Babble. They were so brilliant working with
- 18:13Speaker 5: with the limited capacity that they had to create music.
- 18:17Speaker 5: I mean Mega Man music, my ring Tones also Mega
- 18:20Speaker 5: Man two Wiley Stage or the first Wiley stage is
- 18:23Speaker 5: my my main ring tone. You know, if I get
- 18:25Speaker 5: a text message, it's the Zelda Discovery sound. You know,
- 18:29Speaker 5: all that stuff just is always there in my brain,
- 18:32Speaker 5: you know, like it's it's always just like one step way.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Even when we when we created our show Geek Exploration,
- 18:37Speaker 5: you know, we purposely went back to an eight bit
- 18:40Speaker 5: sound for our theme song because it just it feels
- 18:43Speaker 5: right for the types of geeks we are and what
- 18:46Speaker 5: we grew up with, you know, paying tribute to that.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Yeah, totally. You mentioned it, But you do bring up
- 18:51Speaker 1: music often in the in the meuse section. But I
- 18:53Speaker 1: think etymologically speaking, muse and music must be connected. So
- 18:57Speaker 1: it's it's very appropriate you bring it up. And yes,
- 19:01Speaker 1: such a such a an era that can be defined
- 19:04Speaker 1: by sound, yep, is that era of gaming. I'm not
- 19:08Speaker 1: sure you can say that about many other eras of gaming.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Once the music becomes more complex, I suppose this is
- 19:14Speaker 1: just so iconic because it's so simple.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Yeah, even just making the jump to Super Nintendo and
- 19:19Speaker 5: Sega Genesis, like the music became so much more complicated
- 19:22Speaker 5: that it you know, it's better because it's because there's
- 19:25Speaker 5: more that you can do with it, but it also
- 19:27Speaker 5: loses some of its charm.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and just because you and Ben as as the
- 19:32Speaker 1: g Exploration Boys are on opposite teams today, I want
- 19:35Speaker 1: to start like driving that wedge between you, so mad
- 19:39Speaker 1: who made nes themes and sounds their their ring tones
- 19:43Speaker 1: first and who copied too?
- 19:46Speaker 2: Trying to think of the first time I like, I
- 19:48Speaker 2: remember when custom ring tones came out. I had like
- 19:51Speaker 2: a razor flip phone. Yeah, so it was probably you,
- 19:54Speaker 2: Like it would have.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Been pretty early on there.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I do know that, like the first one I can
- 19:57Speaker 2: remember setting was for my wife. It was a recording
- 20:01Speaker 2: of John going honey.
- 20:07Speaker 4: I forgot about that game was that from?
- 20:12Speaker 2: But any stuff would not have been far behind that
- 20:15Speaker 2: as soon as like the capability existed.
- 20:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not too technologically savvy, so it undoubtedly would
- 20:23Speaker 5: have been been first.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I tried to drive a wedge and just brought you
- 20:26Speaker 1: close together through chat forever all right, And last but
- 20:33Speaker 1: not least, drew what is inspiring you from the n ees.
- 20:36Speaker 4: For me, it has to be that level of like
- 20:39Speaker 4: the rumor mill around these games because we didn't have
- 20:41Speaker 4: the guides in the internet, so you only sort of
- 20:44Speaker 4: had the friend who knew a guy whose uncle maybe
- 20:47Speaker 4: worked for Nintendo allegedly, and you would just hear these
- 20:51Speaker 4: some I look back on total bullshit rumors, but then
- 20:54Speaker 4: you have moments and games where it's like, oh yeah,
- 20:56Speaker 4: if you stand on this specific block in Mario and
- 20:59Speaker 4: hold it down for like twelve seconds, you'll enter the
- 21:01Speaker 4: background and get a magic war pipe. Like what the
- 21:04Speaker 4: what kind of bullshit? Who's ever got? Oh shit, it works?
- 21:06Speaker 1: Fuck what?
- 21:08Speaker 4: It was a world where games didn't need to necessarily
- 21:10Speaker 4: make sense, and secrets could be legitimate secrets, like referencing
- 21:14Speaker 4: that we are error thing or other, like those like
- 21:15Speaker 4: weird lines you hear in those Zelda games, those like
- 21:17Speaker 4: weird rooms where it's like, oh yeah, no, if you
- 21:19Speaker 4: burn down this one bush, there's no indication why this
- 21:22Speaker 4: bush can be burned down, or why there was a
- 21:24Speaker 4: guy they are saying it's a secret in giving you
- 21:26Speaker 4: like fifty rupees, but it's there because we can. And
- 21:30Speaker 4: I just love that level of like discovery that the
- 21:32Speaker 4: Internet hadn't ruined yet.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, Nintendo Power was nice about like like they
- 21:37Speaker 2: didn't publish that shit day one, like yeah.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it could be discovered, which was cool.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Plus, if we're going into power route, they would then
- 21:44Speaker 4: reveal shit that was like out April Fool's joke, but
- 21:47Speaker 4: you wouldn't think of it because it's the Magazinum like
- 21:48Speaker 4: a once a month, so you would just be like, oh,
- 21:50Speaker 4: you can actually get like mewtwo in the original Smash,
- 21:53Speaker 4: and it's like, no, you can't, but we're gonna screw
- 21:55Speaker 4: with you because we.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Can because all you have is print media, and y'all
- 21:59Speaker 1: gonna believe us. That's great, Drew, very inspiring because that
- 22:03Speaker 1: was just an era. That was just a time where
- 22:05Speaker 1: we weren't sharing as much knowledge and information with each other.
- 22:09Speaker 1: And I think that era is also dead now and
- 22:11Speaker 1: we've regressed and we're no longer sharing as much knowledge
- 22:13Speaker 1: and information. But what a what a time that we
- 22:16Speaker 1: could flash back to that again. I guess fantastic. I'm
- 22:20Speaker 1: feeling very inspired by all four of our players. Sho
- 22:23Speaker 1: should we play some games?
- 22:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll put in a quarter.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Drew. Right, teams, time to do
- 22:32Speaker 1: the opposite of the press playboys and blow on those
- 22:35Speaker 1: cartridges cre system as we press starts to enter round one.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Round one is our classic game of deliberation, elimination, and
- 22:50Speaker 1: deception that today we're calling bad nintentions. I will name
- 22:57Speaker 1: a category and then offer our teams a list of
- 22:59Speaker 1: five things opposedly from that category. Teams will discuss and
- 23:02Speaker 1: select correct answers one by one, avoiding the two fake
- 23:05Speaker 1: answers my bad nintentions. If they select a wrong answer,
- 23:09Speaker 1: they'll be frozen out of the list like an ice
- 23:12Speaker 1: climber falling all the way back to base level one.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Not to approval from the fans.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Yes, yes, we've all done that. I'm notoriously bad at
- 23:22Speaker 5: this game.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Yeah, not a fan. All right, Well, we're going to
- 23:27Speaker 1: start with a list for the p Glove. The first
- 23:30Speaker 1: category is just games for the ne e s. So
- 23:32Speaker 1: just was this a real game or is it not
- 23:35Speaker 1: a real game? So the p Glove here is your list.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Deadly Towers, Bible Adventures, Galactic Sam and the Space Cadets,
- 23:44Speaker 1: Where's Waldough? And Curse of the Nile.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Okay, I'm pretty And Bible Adventures.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Yeah, those are the two.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Is there is there an order you'd like to say
- 23:58Speaker 1: the correct answers in as Waldo, I'm confident on that one.
- 24:01Speaker 2: You want to lock wears Waldo and because we get
- 24:02Speaker 2: frozen out one at a time.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Yep, all right, Wes Weld, absolutely correct. I'm sure that
- 24:09Speaker 1: was riveting. And then Bible Adventures.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah, there were three different adventures who threw baby Baby
- 24:17Speaker 3: Joseph try and get them to the end. You were
- 24:19Speaker 3: Noah and you had to collect two of each animal.
- 24:22Speaker 3: It was very bad. Gain. It did not have the
- 24:28Speaker 3: ny seal of quality.
- 24:30Speaker 1: But it is as you have. It'd be weird if
- 24:33Speaker 1: it wasn't a real game. After you just said all that,
- 24:35Speaker 1: it is. Indeed, so there's two points. There is one
- 24:37Speaker 1: correct game left. You've got Deadly Towers, Galactic Salmon, the
- 24:42Speaker 1: Space Cadets, and Curse of the Nile.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I think it's Curse of the Nile.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I was going to say, I think it's Deadly Towers.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Deadly Towers sounds like it could be. It sounds familiar
- 24:52Speaker 2: as well. The Salmon one.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I was going to say, Galactic Sam, but I mean.
- 24:56Speaker 3: But dead Towers like a BBC I.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Think you're thinking of Faulty Towers, which is a BBC comedy.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Is goddamn and whatever? Yes, Galactic Sam, and.
- 25:09Speaker 2: The Galactic said Galactic Salmon.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Gala, look, well look it's one of the ones
- 25:18Speaker 1: I made up. So let's say Galactic Salmon and the
- 25:19Speaker 1: Space Canets. You guys weren't tempted by it, I'll reveal it. Willie.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'll go with your gut on this one. You seem
- 25:26Speaker 2: to know a lot more about Bible Adventures to night.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Let's go dead.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Go into Deadly Towers. That is great captainmanship, Ben, because
- 25:35Speaker 1: it is indeed Deadly Towers. Well done, Willie. Great knowledge.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Do we think Jesus for that one? The Bible Adventures
- 25:43Speaker 4: give you powers?
- 25:45Speaker 1: I always thank Jesus after all of these recordings.
- 25:50Speaker 4: He's not my kind of guy.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I'm hoping my sark hasn't translated there. Otherwise I just
- 25:54Speaker 1: came out as Christian. All right, let's have a list
- 25:59Speaker 1: of any s games for we am error. Here is
- 26:03Speaker 1: your list. Super Pitfall, Weed Whackers, Muppet Adventure, Chaos at
- 26:08Speaker 1: the Carnival, Chubby Cherub, and Shall We Go Tango Disco Edition?
- 26:14Speaker 5: Oh my goodness, Drew, I am so sorry. I'm reticent
- 26:19Speaker 5: to attach my my name and faith to anything because
- 26:23Speaker 5: super Pitfall sounds like it's a Super Nintendo game. I
- 26:28Speaker 5: don't know super Pitfall would have happened on the NEYS.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Although I know super Pitfall and I think it actually
- 26:34Speaker 5: is at ANYS title, I'm willing to stake that one. Okay,
- 26:38Speaker 5: is there anything that we feel more confident about? Like
- 26:40Speaker 5: for for some reason, Chubby Cherub sounds familiar? But see,
- 26:45Speaker 5: wasn't that just your nickname in high school? I was
- 26:48Speaker 5: a scrawny kid. It was it was when I got
- 26:49Speaker 5: older that I got fat.
- 26:52Speaker 4: See for me, Chubby Cherub just seems like the easy
- 26:54Speaker 4: fake because we already have a Cherub in pit with Yeah,
- 26:59Speaker 4: Ikey Blank his game Kidicus think you why is his
- 27:03Speaker 4: name Pitton not Kittrius?
- 27:04Speaker 1: Like it just he was.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Anyways, I could argue that one for hours. So like,
- 27:06Speaker 4: the Chubby Cherub just seems like an off choice because
- 27:08Speaker 4: of that. But if you feel an inkling, no no, no, no,
- 27:11Speaker 4: no no no no. Okay, do we want to start
- 27:13Speaker 4: with super pits? All that takes super Pitfall? And if
- 27:15Speaker 4: we somehow I was right in some weird way, We'll
- 27:18Speaker 4: do Chubby Cherub next.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Okay, super Pitfall, yes, super Pitfall game? You didn't fall
- 27:25Speaker 1: for that pit ball track? Okay? Now do we feel
- 27:29Speaker 1: more confident about anything? Like?
- 27:30Speaker 5: Like the Muppet one sounds like it could exist, but
- 27:33Speaker 5: it also sounds like it could be made up very
- 27:37Speaker 5: well to sound like it exists.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, we definitely had Muppet games on the a NES,
- 27:40Speaker 4: but none of them come to mind specifically, Like I
- 27:43Speaker 4: think they did a pirate one for the NES with
- 27:45Speaker 4: the Muppets, but I can't be one hundred percent sure.
- 27:47Speaker 5: So what was the other choice mat between and besides
- 27:50Speaker 5: Muppet and Cherub?
- 27:51Speaker 1: With the other choices, you you also have weed Whackers
- 27:54Speaker 1: and shall we go Tango Disco edition?
- 27:57Speaker 4: Like the weed Whackers I could see being one, but
- 27:59Speaker 4: it doesn't ring a bell. But it seems like it's
- 28:01Speaker 4: like paper Boy was a game. But also can he
- 28:03Speaker 4: be ripping off that of just like menial task the game? Yeah,
- 28:06Speaker 4: oh geez, I'll bite the bullet, I'll take chairup. I'll
- 28:10Speaker 4: say Chubby Cherub for the two of us.
- 28:11Speaker 1: And we'll risk it biting that Chubby Cherub. Yes, it
- 28:15Speaker 1: is indeed a real game.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Look this one up later, that game, Thank you, Thank you, Drew.
- 28:23Speaker 5: I was willing to do it. Okay, Now, now, the
- 28:25Speaker 5: the Tango Disco thing, like it sounds so ridiculous that
- 28:31Speaker 5: it might not be made up.
- 28:33Speaker 4: This feels too early in the game for something that
- 28:35Speaker 4: wild to be like a choice. It seems like early
- 28:37Speaker 4: enough in the game for Matt to be like, let
- 28:39Speaker 4: me give you a really stupid one. You'll obviously skip
- 28:41Speaker 4: game in the game.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I don't. My heart says Muppets. Okay, let's do it
- 28:46Speaker 1: all right, going with Muppets Adventure, Chaos at the Carnival
- 28:50Speaker 1: and avoiding shall we go Tango Disco edition? It's the Muppets,
- 28:54Speaker 1: you got three? That is all Drue. Hey, you know
- 28:59Speaker 1: Chubby Chair.
- 29:00Speaker 4: I would have never in a million years picked out
- 29:01Speaker 4: and I definitely would have Donemuppets and then like the
- 29:03Speaker 4: weed Whackers or something. So you save because I don't
- 29:07Speaker 4: know why it sounds familiar, but it does. I must
- 29:10Speaker 4: have just read it in an Nintendo Power like randomly ones.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Well, we had the arcade cabinet with all the Nintendo games,
- 29:16Speaker 2: I'm true seeing all the titles.
- 29:19Speaker 1: There we go, and you didn't see weed Whackers at all.
- 29:22Speaker 1: All right, next category, we are going to have accessories
- 29:26Speaker 1: for the nes so official accessories for the nes They
- 29:31Speaker 1: don't have to have been produced by Nintendo themselves, but
- 29:34Speaker 1: they were released in retail stores. Is the ruling here?
- 29:38Speaker 3: Okay?
- 29:39Speaker 1: So back on over to the p glove. Maybe that
- 29:42Speaker 1: will come in handy for one of these, less one
- 29:44Speaker 1: of them. So your list, Zappa, Light Gun, Super Mario
- 29:50Speaker 1: paint Palette, Miracle Piano, Quick Shot, whiz Master, and Wake
- 29:57Speaker 1: and Play, Where's Master? So much pass picture some of
- 30:04Speaker 1: these things.
- 30:05Speaker 3: The zapper and the piano are the first two.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Yeah you feel in the Zappa and the piano. Yeah.
- 30:13Speaker 1: The Zeppra for sure, I mean it like that came
- 30:15Speaker 1: with Duck Hunt. Like everyone had that duck gun. Yes, indeed,
- 30:19Speaker 1: Zappa like gun, that is correct. And then the Miracle Piano.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Yep, there was a piano.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Yep, Miracle Piano. Absolutely that was you could learn to
- 30:29Speaker 1: play a full piano on a using the ne e s.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I think that's so cool.
- 30:33Speaker 3: It was a full keyboard that hooked up and controlled
- 30:36Speaker 3: with a game.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Amazing. What were the other ones? There was the Wake
- 30:40Speaker 1: and Play. Yes, you have the Super Mario paint palette,
- 30:44Speaker 1: the Quick Shot, whiz Master, and the Wake and Play.
- 30:47Speaker 3: The paint palot. I don't think it sounds like it
- 30:50Speaker 3: might have been like a Japanese only thing back before
- 30:54Speaker 3: Super Nintendo Mario Paint.
- 30:56Speaker 1: I was gonna say that was.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a Super Nintendo game. So maybe he's trying
- 30:59Speaker 2: to throw us off by throwing a Supernintendo accessory at.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Us, but he did not for it.
- 31:04Speaker 2: He did not specify North American market, and there was
- 31:07Speaker 2: Japan made some off the wall ship.
- 31:10Speaker 3: I can't imagine what the wee can play would be.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I'm not sure either like the alarm clock,
- 31:19Speaker 2: but the wiz Master or whatever it is. I could
- 31:23Speaker 2: see some third party light gun or something being called that,
- 31:27Speaker 2: and if Matt saw that, it would definitely get included
- 31:30Speaker 2: in this.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Was it or quiz Master, I would include it for
- 31:36Speaker 1: both reasons.
- 31:37Speaker 2: So I would, I mean, I would lean towards either
- 31:40Speaker 2: the whiz Master or the U. I guess I think
- 31:44Speaker 2: that's I think, just just to keep on theme here,
- 31:48Speaker 2: I think we should.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Go with the wiz Master. Whiz Master, It is you
- 31:51Speaker 1: going with the wiz Masta Yep, Yeah, it's that. The
- 31:55Speaker 1: potty wireless controller is indeed the quick shot wiz Master.
- 32:00Speaker 4: I thought you had them with the pain PALTT there.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it was that exact reason. It was using something
- 32:07Speaker 1: that might exist for the for the snaz and the
- 32:09Speaker 1: way you can play is just something that it sounds
- 32:11Speaker 1: like an eighties product that they would try and invent
- 32:13Speaker 1: for the for a games console. Boots up before you
- 32:17Speaker 1: wake up, and.
- 32:19Speaker 2: It's a pillow that you can use as a controller.
- 32:23Speaker 1: In your dream only compatible with Mario two.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I think Dreamline would work with that one too.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Oh good little demo dream Master. Come on, let's give
- 32:34Speaker 2: it going. Yeah by all means.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Out.
- 32:39Speaker 5: After they took out Mike Tyson and he was mister
- 32:41Speaker 5: dream how many more can we do?
- 32:46Speaker 4: There has to be a sleeper late, there has to
- 32:49Speaker 4: be counting sheep man, snore man, one of those.
- 32:54Speaker 1: A list of accessories for we am error do it
- 32:57Speaker 1: here we go, joyboard, rob power glove, homework first waffle
- 33:04Speaker 1: iron adapter. All right, well we have two of these
- 33:08Speaker 1: pretty easily. Yeah, Rob, for sure.
- 33:11Speaker 4: You got rob robs a robot right, Yes, it is
- 33:14Speaker 4: correct with gyromite.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Yeah, robotic operating buddy.
- 33:18Speaker 1: That's what it was.
- 33:20Speaker 4: It was their way of breaking into the North American
- 33:21Speaker 4: market when it was saturated a byt other game consoles
- 33:23Speaker 4: and no one wanted to carry their stuff. They no, no,
- 33:25Speaker 4: it's a it's a toy.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Okay, okay, And.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Then we'll have to take power gloves. We've discussed the
- 33:30Speaker 4: game manplay already. That was our Zappra gun, yes, yes,
- 33:35Speaker 4: And can you remind me the other three? Because the fuck.
- 33:40Speaker 1: You have Joyboard, homework first, and Waffle Iron adapter.
- 33:46Speaker 4: I mean the joyboards only one that sounds plausible, which
- 33:49Speaker 4: is the problem. It was a game for the NES
- 33:52Speaker 4: that had like a you have to run on a
- 33:53Speaker 4: matt kind of thing, like a track. Thinking that maybe
- 33:58Speaker 4: I can't.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Think that was just called like the True Amat or something.
- 34:01Speaker 5: But like the other two, like what could they even
- 34:03Speaker 5: physically be?
- 34:04Speaker 4: Like what?
- 34:05Speaker 5: Yeah, like like Waffle Iron adapter that that that I don't.
- 34:10Speaker 4: Know what was the other one again, the iron was
- 34:13Speaker 4: the joypad? What was the third one?
- 34:14Speaker 1: Again? Homework first?
- 34:16Speaker 4: I mean I could see the homework first being like
- 34:18Speaker 4: a clock add on or something if you like finish
- 34:20Speaker 4: your homework and like the wait for the clock to
- 34:22Speaker 4: finish before you can turn on the system. But like
- 34:24Speaker 4: that just seems bizarre and I'm making a bullshit.
- 34:26Speaker 5: Yeah, for for it to actually be a peripheral for
- 34:30Speaker 5: that can that can plug into a system and serve
- 34:32Speaker 5: a function, It doesn't seem like either of those.
- 34:35Speaker 4: So yeah, maybe we should just go joyboard. Yeah, let's
- 34:37Speaker 4: go joy Bard. At least at least I won't feel
- 34:39Speaker 4: dumb when I get it wrong.
- 34:40Speaker 1: At least exactly always always a spot way to play
- 34:44Speaker 1: this game. It's not Joyboard though Joyboard didn't exist. What
- 34:48Speaker 1: is it? It's homework first.
- 34:53Speaker 3: It was it was a combination lock that went in
- 34:56Speaker 3: the cartridge slot and you needed the combination in order
- 34:59Speaker 3: to take it out.
- 35:00Speaker 1: That makes perfect sense. That's so brilliant. I hate it. Yeah,
- 35:06Speaker 1: that totally makes sense. Oh, it could have been worse.
- 35:10Speaker 1: You could have said waffle iron adapt, which was just
- 35:12Speaker 1: very silly.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Would imagine even modern day, like, could you do a
- 35:15Speaker 4: waffle iron that like Prince designed on the waffles based
- 35:18Speaker 4: on the game you're playing somehow.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Or even just like powered itself through a controller port
- 35:23Speaker 5: or something.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Yeah, make waffles while you're playing, Yeah.
- 35:25Speaker 4: For the wake and play. Yeah, that's how it wakes
- 35:29Speaker 4: you up. The smell of waffles.
- 35:32Speaker 1: All right, One last category in this round, and this
- 35:35Speaker 1: time we are going into the world of a specific
- 35:37Speaker 1: game franchise. I would like No, I wouldn't because I'm
- 35:41Speaker 1: going to give you the list. I'm not going to
- 35:42Speaker 1: ask you today. This is going to be a list
- 35:45Speaker 1: of named enemies in Super Mario Brothers and it's two
- 35:50Speaker 1: sequels nineteen eighty five to nineteen.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Ninety translation, all the weird ones you've never heard of?
- 35:57Speaker 1: Some two. Yes, the p glove hair is your list
- 36:05Speaker 1: of five? Cooper, Paratrooper, rush Ram, Piget, tri Clode, jumping
- 36:13Speaker 1: piranha plant. I'm pretty confident with Piget.
- 36:16Speaker 3: I was going to say the first one, there's for sure. Wait,
- 36:19Speaker 3: the paratroopers they didn't come in until Mario World, did
- 36:23Speaker 3: they Those are a real enemy. But those are from
- 36:25Speaker 3: Mario World.
- 36:26Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of if they were in Super
- 36:28Speaker 2: Mario three.
- 36:30Speaker 1: But I don't.
- 36:31Speaker 2: I don't say they had the guy in the cloud,
- 36:33Speaker 2: but like otherwise and the dudes that with wings, but
- 36:35Speaker 2: like otherwise, there wasn't.
- 36:37Speaker 3: A Patroopers, all right.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Pigeiget, Yeah, Piget, it is indeed Piget. Yeah, not a
- 36:45Speaker 1: Pokemon turns out in Super Mario Brothers too.
- 36:48Speaker 4: The little one who rides the carpets, isn't he? I
- 36:51Speaker 4: believe that a little bird dude?
- 36:53Speaker 1: Yeah. A jumping piranha plant, like, is that what it was?
- 36:56Speaker 1: Jumping piranha plant, yes, jumping piranha plants.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Yeah. Games let's go with that.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I think as.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Long as that's their name, those things do sound right.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Going with jumping piranha plants. Yes, they were first introduced
- 37:11Speaker 1: in World Sorry I was doing this.
- 37:17Speaker 4: Do they appear before this nest?
- 37:19Speaker 1: And I think Cooper paratroopers are just the ones with
- 37:21Speaker 1: the wings. So they are introduced in Super Mario Brothers.
- 37:25Speaker 1: And try Clyde from Super Mario Brothers too, is a boss?
- 37:28Speaker 1: I think?
- 37:29Speaker 3: Oh, were we having guesses already? I thought we had
- 37:31Speaker 3: one more guess?
- 37:32Speaker 4: No, frozen out frozen list you gotta you gotta put.
- 37:39Speaker 1: So not too bad. We'll we'll see how we am
- 37:42Speaker 1: error do with their list.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Let's see if we can do better.
- 37:46Speaker 1: We have chew Goomber, blurp, fin tooth, Buzzy Beetle, and Roy.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Okay, Buzzy Beetles I am confident in because they show
- 37:58Speaker 4: up even in the first nest, the little U greener
- 38:00Speaker 4: shelled ones there in the caves.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Okay, And then I'm I'm pretty confident with Roy as
- 38:06Speaker 5: one of the one of the junior koopas in Super
- 38:08Speaker 5: Mario three.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Roy Cooper, Yes, all right? You going with Buzzy beats Beetle. Yes,
- 38:13Speaker 1: indeed there's a point and then Roy Roy Cooper, Roy
- 38:17Speaker 1: Cooper indeed, yeah, just al yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 4: I was, I was genuinely worried for some I'm like,
- 38:21Speaker 4: do they not have names before the nests?
- 38:22Speaker 1: Maybe though?
- 38:23Speaker 4: And they were just like generic like yeah but okay and.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Named after named after Roy Artistan.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Yeah, they were all all but one were named after
- 38:32Speaker 4: famous musicians.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Is he where is he the one that wears the sunglasses?
- 38:34Speaker 1: Then yep, he is. He's my Mario cart Maine. And
- 38:39Speaker 1: the other three are Shoe Goomba, Blurup and thin Tooth.
- 38:44Speaker 4: I mean, I know, we get the goombas that ride
- 38:46Speaker 4: around on the shoe the which has another weird Japanese
- 38:49Speaker 4: inspired name whose name is eluding me, but I think
- 38:52Speaker 4: their here just called shoe Goombas.
- 38:53Speaker 5: I'll be oh yeah yeah and that and that would
- 38:55Speaker 5: have been Mario three with a little that he jumps
- 38:58Speaker 5: on the little little yeah you can little plant traps
- 39:02Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, okay, Yeah, let's we'll take Sugoomba sugar it.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Is Schugomber yeah yeah. Blurp is from world as well,
- 39:14Speaker 1: and finn Tooth is just fake. Was one of those
- 39:18Speaker 1: fishes that that have have the little little tooth and
- 39:21Speaker 1: the fins and the.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Clever well described.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's one of the times they didn't just look
- 39:30Speaker 1: at what they designed and named it like buzzy beetle.
- 39:35Speaker 1: All right, that is the end of round one. Let's
- 39:37Speaker 1: ask Mario to calculate the latest scores. He is a doctor,
- 39:41Speaker 1: after all. Clever the pea glove are on seven points,
- 39:46Speaker 1: but we am error are on eight points. It's close.
- 39:50Speaker 1: It is very close. Up. Next is round two, after
- 39:54Speaker 1: these commercials. If you'd like these episodes commercial free, then
- 39:57Speaker 1: join us for free over at patreon dot com, Forward
- 40:00Speaker 1: slash gatesleepers. I'd rather have written a joke there, but
- 40:03Speaker 1: our business manager told me we have to start promoting
- 40:06Speaker 1: the brand. And I know he doesn't actually listen to these,
- 40:09Speaker 1: so honestly, fuck you Antoni, or seriously go fuck yourself
- 40:12Speaker 1: back soon. Okay. Round two is called Heroes and Villains.
- 40:24Speaker 1: It's the justification game where each of our players will
- 40:27Speaker 1: have one minute to make their case for who they
- 40:30Speaker 1: think the real hero and real villain of this fandom is.
- 40:35Speaker 1: I will hear our players out and then rank their cases,
- 40:38Speaker 1: giving them a score of two, three, four or five.
- 40:42Speaker 1: And if you come out on top, congratulations if you
- 40:44Speaker 1: come out bottom. That's why I made it too, so
- 40:46Speaker 1: that no one gets one. And you know, everything has
- 40:49Speaker 1: to be a ranking these days because it's better for
- 40:51Speaker 1: content and clips and stuff. Fuck you, Antonio. Okay, that's
- 40:55Speaker 1: why we're playing this game. So we're gonna start with Ben,
- 40:58Speaker 1: I think, and we always start with heroes first. Let's
- 41:01Speaker 1: let's start with the villains this time. Let's hear from
- 41:02Speaker 1: the bad guys. Ben. You're gonna have one minute to
- 41:05Speaker 1: make the case. Who you think the real villain of
- 41:08Speaker 1: the ness The time starts now.
- 41:12Speaker 2: So, uh, Nintendo was the hero of the of the
- 41:17Speaker 2: home console, you know, boom, because it busted in the
- 41:21Speaker 2: eighties and Nintendo came back and saved it and they
- 41:24Speaker 2: were wonderful. But you know, as Harvey dunt As, the
- 41:27Speaker 2: Great Harvey Dent said, either die hero, you live long
- 41:30Speaker 2: enough to see yourself become the villain. And as the
- 41:33Speaker 2: years rolled on, Nintendo's heart grew cold and black, and
- 41:36Speaker 2: they started to hoard their ip like a dragon, like
- 41:39Speaker 2: a greedy dragon sitting on Marios and Zelda's. Uh, they
- 41:43Speaker 2: started you know, suing, suing streamers, sending season desists letters
- 41:50Speaker 2: recent more recently they're bricking people's uh switch tos for
- 41:54Speaker 2: buying used games that they don't like. Uh, they're just
- 41:58Speaker 2: there's just a nasty old bunch of fucks now. Uh
- 42:01Speaker 2: And like as far as the nes goes, only one
- 42:04Speaker 2: hundred and fifty eight of the original seven hundred and
- 42:07Speaker 2: sixty eight Nintendo games are available for purchase on the
- 42:10Speaker 2: on the Nintendo Eastern.
- 42:11Speaker 1: And that's your time. Oh man, that was a minute.
- 42:15Speaker 1: That was a minute? Yeah, I was holding the clock
- 42:17Speaker 1: up and everything. Wow, that went real quick. I'm not Ben,
- 42:21Speaker 1: I mean, correct me if I'm wrong. But I know
- 42:23Speaker 1: you mentioned about Nintendo's suing people, but I don't think
- 42:25Speaker 1: you got to your main point that you were a
- 42:26Speaker 1: victim of the A victim of the clock. I guess.
- 42:29Speaker 5: So a minute that just goes by so fast it
- 42:31Speaker 5: still does say ten seconds on it. Oh or maybe
- 42:34Speaker 5: Oh no, I think it was just frozen. I couldn't
- 42:38Speaker 5: tell your movie me too.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not trusting John's on this one, obviously. That
- 42:47Speaker 1: magnifying glass a few times now? Cool? All right, So yeah,
- 42:51Speaker 1: I've got a couple of notes down there, Ben, But sorry,
- 42:53Speaker 1: that's just just the way the clock goes. John if
- 42:56Speaker 1: you're not too too blind, could you give us the villain.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I'm not too lying to talk. Goodness, You've got a
- 43:05Speaker 1: minute your time, studs.
- 43:07Speaker 5: Now, all right, My villain is a little more conceptual.
- 43:11Speaker 5: We all had that friend who when we were kids,
- 43:14Speaker 5: you know, said oh I'm I'm I beat Mike Tyson's
- 43:16Speaker 5: punch Out, and we're like, whoa, no shit. And then
- 43:19Speaker 5: when we kind of caught on, we're like, hey, no
- 43:21Speaker 5: you didn't. They're like, well, no, but I saw my
- 43:23Speaker 5: my big brother beat them. My My real villain of
- 43:28Speaker 5: the nes Era is dishonesty. Everyone was a little asshole.
- 43:33Speaker 5: Everyone claimed they could they could see, or they could
- 43:36Speaker 5: beat Contra with three lives. You know, they're like, oh, yeah,
- 43:40Speaker 5: I totally beat Contra without using the Konami code.
- 43:42Speaker 1: No you didn't.
- 43:42Speaker 5: You didn't beat Mike Tyson's punch out. You did not
- 43:45Speaker 5: just spide through World eight on Mario. You didn't beat
- 43:48Speaker 5: Zelda on your first try, Get a life, Get a clue.
- 43:52Speaker 5: That did not happen. Any s created so much dishonesty
- 43:57Speaker 5: amongst children that that it really made seconds sick.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it.
- 44:04Speaker 5: Your older brother did not beat Mike Tyson's punch out
- 44:08Speaker 5: even your lie I was even guilty of it.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I said that, oh you admitted that part. After the
- 44:16Speaker 1: after the time got away with its time less time
- 44:23Speaker 1: to play with you could you could use some of
- 44:25Speaker 1: John's time, Ben I should have. We're still talking villains.
- 44:28Speaker 1: We're going to move back on over to the peak love.
- 44:29Speaker 1: This time we're going to hear from Willie and who
- 44:31Speaker 1: he thinks the real villain of then e S is?
- 44:35Speaker 1: Are you ready, Willy?
- 44:35Speaker 3: Yes?
- 44:36Speaker 1: Take it away.
- 44:37Speaker 3: So I think the real villain of the ne e
- 44:39Speaker 3: S was any As a difficulty. Before any S, there
- 44:42Speaker 3: were arcade games and even entire games where you play
- 44:46Speaker 3: and you go for a high score. Of course it
- 44:48Speaker 3: got hired eventually, but then Anys games they had a
- 44:50Speaker 3: finite end. You play and you want to beat the game.
- 44:54Speaker 3: But then in order to beat the game, they give
- 44:56Speaker 3: you these impossible stats, you know, like you get too lives,
- 45:00Speaker 3: you get three continuous. Every game is hard. Maybe you
- 45:03Speaker 3: don't have a password, there's no safe state. Very few
- 45:06Speaker 3: games had batteries. A lot of games did this because
- 45:09Speaker 3: of the rental market. They're like, oh, if they rent
- 45:12Speaker 3: a game and they can beat it, then they're not
- 45:13Speaker 3: gonna want to go and bias. We need to make
- 45:15Speaker 3: it artificially hard. So the rental market was part of
- 45:18Speaker 3: the problem because the game developers hated the rental but
- 45:21Speaker 3: people buying the games. They didn't need to be this
- 45:23Speaker 3: hard for people buying the games. Let people enjoy the
- 45:26Speaker 3: products that they buy. Ten seconds So, Yes, in conclusion,
- 45:32Speaker 3: anys difficulty was too hard. They should have made more
- 45:35Speaker 3: easy games or added more difficulty options time.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Yes, I agree, and that is a great thing to do.
- 45:42Speaker 1: When this ten seconds left is saying conclusion and make
- 45:46Speaker 1: that conclusion. That's brilliant, that's great arguing. I agree so much,
- 45:50Speaker 1: But we still have one argument to hear for who
- 45:54Speaker 1: the villain of neys is Drew? Are you ready? Oh,
- 45:57Speaker 1: I'm ready your time stots now.
- 46:00Speaker 4: The biggest issue with the NES is the fact that
- 46:02Speaker 4: it started as a console in one country, and when
- 46:05Speaker 4: it moved to other countries, it had to deal with
- 46:07Speaker 4: so many things related to licensing and agreements and partnerships,
- 46:10Speaker 4: and this essential regionalism of the console. That meant that
- 46:14Speaker 4: the version of the console we got versus another country
- 46:17Speaker 4: god and what games were available for it were limited.
- 46:20Speaker 4: Things were missing. The final Fantasy franchise famously has like
- 46:23Speaker 4: this whole mixed up chronology because Final Fantasy three in
- 46:27Speaker 4: America and Final Fantasy three in Japan aren't the same game,
- 46:30Speaker 4: and then eventually it was released here, and then that
- 46:33Speaker 4: so Final Fantasy four in Japan is our Final Fantasy three,
- 46:36Speaker 4: And there's this whole mixed up chain a Mother and Earthbound,
- 46:39Speaker 4: two games most people haven't played, and if they have,
- 46:41Speaker 4: probably on a walm or an illegal import of some sort,
- 46:44Speaker 4: because you couldn't just get both those games. And in fact,
- 46:46Speaker 4: the third Mother game still only is available in America
- 46:49Speaker 4: now for the first time, and we still are seeing
- 46:52Speaker 4: the ramifications of games we've never heard of or what
- 46:54Speaker 4: ever seen because some country decided we get it, you don't,
- 46:57Speaker 4: or some licensing didn't go through, and we all missed
- 46:59Speaker 4: out on gaming.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Oh right up to the time word economy there, I
- 47:07Speaker 1: talked good, what I get.
- 47:10Speaker 2: We're having notes for the first time ever.
- 47:15Speaker 1: You shouldn't have tried to improve and should have stayed
- 47:18Speaker 1: the same.
- 47:19Speaker 4: My note literally just says villain regionalism.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Oh that's so good, Ben. I'm going to give you
- 47:26Speaker 1: the two points because I feel like I didn't hear
- 47:28Speaker 1: the full argument so I think just by default, I've
- 47:30Speaker 1: got a that's fair. I've got to put the two
- 47:32Speaker 1: points in your direction.
- 47:33Speaker 2: So you didn't get to my I didn't even get
- 47:35Speaker 2: to my argument, much less my conclusion.
- 47:38Speaker 4: And we'll never hear it. I'm really sad about that.
- 47:42Speaker 1: It was a good joke too. Will work on the
- 47:47Speaker 1: SNZ episode that we'll do ineffortably in a couple of
- 47:49Speaker 1: years time. Certainly, Yeah, use the material.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Down.
- 47:56Speaker 1: It's a tough decision because I like all three of
- 47:59Speaker 1: these are uments for different reasons, just because there was
- 48:02Speaker 1: a little more admin involved. I think I'm going to
- 48:05Speaker 1: give Drew the three points for the regionalism. Very strong arguments,
- 48:10Speaker 1: but it was very you know, global logistics, and I
- 48:13Speaker 1: just I get sleepy during.
- 48:14Speaker 4: That because it's evil how they get away with it.
- 48:20Speaker 4: They bore you into not caring.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Then I think I'm going to go four points to John.
- 48:27Speaker 1: I did really love the whole thing of your older
- 48:30Speaker 1: brother does does not, did not do this? And kids, bullshit, kids, lie.
- 48:35Speaker 1: I can only imagine way more so before the internet.
- 48:39Speaker 1: And five points to Willie, because yes, those games are
- 48:41Speaker 1: so goddamn difficult that there's the barrier. Yeah, that's valid,
- 48:47Speaker 1: very valid. It's it is, it is truth.
- 48:50Speaker 3: The kids didn't have to lie about Kirby's Dreamland.
- 48:52Speaker 4: Nope, that's the one game I did remember beating.
- 48:56Speaker 1: All right, should we should we do that again? But
- 48:58Speaker 1: for heroes this time? Maybe at all? More positive? Yeah,
- 49:01Speaker 1: work our way back up the hill of positivity. All right,
- 49:04Speaker 1: let's go in reverse order this time, I think, so
- 49:08Speaker 1: we'll go back to Drew. All right, Drew your hero
- 49:12Speaker 1: from the NES your time starts now.
- 49:15Speaker 4: There were just so many games for the NS, and
- 49:18Speaker 4: yes we had the Blockbusters for the rentals or you know,
- 49:21Speaker 4: your cousin maybe, but at the end of the day,
- 49:23Speaker 4: it was really having that one friend who had all
- 49:25Speaker 4: the different games. So when you went to their place,
- 49:27Speaker 4: you had have one library, and then they come to
- 49:29Speaker 4: your place for a different library. And it really made
- 49:31Speaker 4: this nice communal thing where like you legit made friends
- 49:34Speaker 4: with kids in school because they had a game you
- 49:36Speaker 4: wanted to play but didn't have any way of their
- 49:37Speaker 4: playing of it, and like legitimately, like I have friendships
- 49:40Speaker 4: that started as the oh you have XYZ game and
- 49:43Speaker 4: I've never played it. Let's do your place this weekend
- 49:46Speaker 4: and then my place we can go do some Mario
- 49:48Speaker 4: Kart and just having this like this thing that otherwise
- 49:51Speaker 4: I think people jokingly kind of referre to as like
- 49:53Speaker 4: the indoor kids syndrome of like, oh, you sit at
- 49:54Speaker 4: home all day and play your games all by yourself.
- 49:56Speaker 4: But even back then, before the Internet, we were making
- 49:59Speaker 4: it a community, people who had a shared interest and
- 50:01Speaker 4: got to share their favorite games, and having that one
- 50:04Speaker 4: friend who had that one game you'd never heard of,
- 50:06Speaker 4: and like no one else believe you. You'd all go
- 50:08Speaker 4: to their place for our party and be like, WHOA,
- 50:09Speaker 4: this game's wild. And honestly, just thank you for the
- 50:13Speaker 4: friends I made along the way playing double games.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Perfect. I didn't even give you the ten second timer.
- 50:20Speaker 1: I was so enthralled by your passionate speech.
- 50:23Speaker 4: I've had laser twice. I could clearly see your clock
- 50:26Speaker 4: even I can see it. I blew up your screen.
- 50:28Speaker 4: That was wild. I was wandering ticked down. It was excited, totally.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Yeah. It was listed on Amazon as a timer for
- 50:36Speaker 1: old people. Well, they nailed our asses. I wanted a
- 50:42Speaker 1: big clock el doing a.
- 50:46Speaker 4: Heavy heart of hearing Genie clearly.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Okay, making our way reverse up the list means that
- 50:53Speaker 1: Willy is up next to declare his hero for the
- 50:56Speaker 1: nes fandom. Are you ready, Willy?
- 50:58Speaker 3: Okay?
- 50:58Speaker 1: All right, your time thoughts now?
- 51:01Speaker 3: So the only hero that could defeat ANYS difficulty, well,
- 51:04Speaker 3: the most easy way to defeat ANYS difficulty was with
- 51:07Speaker 3: a cheat device like the Game Genie. You pop that
- 51:11Speaker 3: in the NES first, then you pop your game in there,
- 51:14Speaker 3: and kids start learning programming even without knowing it. You
- 51:17Speaker 3: can change the first two digits or letters or digits
- 51:21Speaker 3: in a game Genie code to change how the effects work,
- 51:24Speaker 3: Like you make it E two and you'll jump higher.
- 51:27Speaker 3: You make it a one and you'll jump lower. So
- 51:31Speaker 3: it teaches, It makes the games easy. It can give
- 51:34Speaker 3: you infinite continues, infinite lives, and invincibility. So you can
- 51:38Speaker 3: rent that game and if you have the right gaming
- 51:41Speaker 3: magazine and you could look up the codes in the
- 51:42Speaker 3: back back in the day, but you had to buy
- 51:46Speaker 3: what was it, cheat cheat code? There's a magazine all
- 51:49Speaker 3: cheat codes that had a lot of Game Genie games.
- 51:52Speaker 3: So yeah, cheating in game cheat codes, but mostly game
- 51:56Speaker 3: Genie was the real hero of the NES era.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Game Genie. Yeah, the game show. I had
- 52:04Speaker 1: both the well.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Worn little booklet that came with it with all the
- 52:08Speaker 2: codes in there, and not all of them, but like
- 52:10Speaker 2: a bunch of the guard that thing with your life.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:13Speaker 4: I remember going to like the bookstore as a kid,
- 52:14Speaker 4: like go gig be having enough time to like open
- 52:16Speaker 4: up the book sample in the store and like, okay,
- 52:19Speaker 4: finding like the one code and like trying to write
- 52:20Speaker 4: it down in a book and a piece of paper
- 52:22Speaker 4: before I left.
- 52:23Speaker 3: You could subscribe and four times a year they would
- 52:25Speaker 3: send you te codes for the newest games.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Oh cool.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Nice.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Wasn't there like a hotline too that you could call?
- 52:32Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I don't know headline, but I feel like
- 52:37Speaker 4: there was a number on the back of the booklet
- 52:38Speaker 4: where you could call.
- 52:39Speaker 1: And yeah, ask for three wishes.
- 52:42Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, I need a really big clock.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Old person clock.
- 52:49Speaker 3: Give it now.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Oh fantastic, excellent hero there, Willie. We're going to hear
- 52:55Speaker 1: from John next. Johnny, you ready to keep your hero
- 52:57Speaker 1: for the ne e s. Let's do it all right?
- 53:00Speaker 1: Time starts now?
- 53:02Speaker 5: All right, Well, it is important to teach children about
- 53:05Speaker 5: things like coding and.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Such.
- 53:09Speaker 5: You're doing them a disservice by just allowing them to
- 53:12Speaker 5: cut corners. I contend that the amount of hours that
- 53:17Speaker 5: we had to spend with that punishing Nintendo difficulty only
- 53:22Speaker 5: made us stronger. It build character. It creates a real
- 53:28Speaker 5: stick toitiveness that you can't learn anywhere else. My true
- 53:31Speaker 5: hero for Nintendo is patience. The patience to time and again,
- 53:39Speaker 5: you fall down that same pit, you get hit by
- 53:41Speaker 5: that same guy. You finally make it to the boss,
- 53:44Speaker 5: and you know, before you can kill Dracula, You've got
- 53:47Speaker 5: one hit left, and he kills you, and you have
- 53:49Speaker 5: to start back from the beginning and do it all
- 53:52Speaker 5: over again ten seconds. I don't have it anymore, But
- 53:56Speaker 5: when I was a kid, I never had more patience.
- 53:59Speaker 5: I can't do it now, all for a controller.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Nice good stuff. Yeah. I like how that is a
- 54:06Speaker 1: direct counterbalance to will least one from the previous round.
- 54:09Speaker 1: That's great. Yeah, it teaches patients. Yeah, that's good. I
- 54:13Speaker 1: love the I love the think of Bill's character as
- 54:16Speaker 1: like that's a good thing. All right, Ben, what come
- 54:19Speaker 1: in to you? Remember it is one minute on the clock.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna yeah, I'm keeping you up on screen.
- 54:25Speaker 2: I'm going for it. Fuck notes, yeah, fuck notes. Are
- 54:29Speaker 2: you ready?
- 54:29Speaker 1: Yes? Time starts now? All right?
- 54:32Speaker 2: The only entity, well, there was no entity strong enough
- 54:35Speaker 2: to challenge Nintendo's you know, iron grip on their game catalog,
- 54:40Speaker 2: so we all had to chip in and do it together.
- 54:44Speaker 2: The real hero of the nes era is games preservationists,
- 54:49Speaker 2: developers of emulators, dumpers of ROMs, the humble cedars, uh
- 54:53Speaker 2: hosting files for the rest of the world to download.
- 54:57Speaker 2: You know, basically the champions out there keeping these games
- 55:00Speaker 2: alive so you can play something like A Boy and
- 55:02Speaker 2: his Blob or Fester's Quest that the evil Nintendo overlords
- 55:07Speaker 2: don't want you to play. And anyone who's downloaded, downloaded
- 55:11Speaker 2: an emulator and ROMs and keeps them on their system
- 55:14Speaker 2: is a video games preservationist. So, uh, who is the
- 55:17Speaker 2: hero of this fandom?
- 55:19Speaker 1: It's you and I. It's anyone who.
- 55:20Speaker 2: Strives to preserve legacy of the ne e s or remember,
- 55:23Speaker 2: if you can't buy it, it's not priorcy, it's preservation.
- 55:29Speaker 1: God fucking damn it. Good stuff. I caught that of
- 55:34Speaker 1: the oh can I was just thinking, let's say it's
- 55:44Speaker 1: King King now apparently, Yeah, I'll be keeping up. Okay,
- 55:49Speaker 1: that is a tough set of heroes to now rank
- 55:53Speaker 1: and skull because those were all excellent arguments and nobody
- 55:57Speaker 1: failed by a technicality for death. I think I am
- 56:03Speaker 1: gonna give I'm going to start the opposite side this
- 56:06Speaker 1: time and say the full five points is going to
- 56:08Speaker 1: bend for that impassioned speech. And there it went to
- 56:11Speaker 1: you and I, it went, it went to people, it
- 56:14Speaker 1: went to us, and we're all the hero. Apart from
- 56:17Speaker 1: that sort of display at trying to win over myself
- 56:20Speaker 1: and the audience and everyone, I also think it's a
- 56:23Speaker 1: very valid point of like, I've only played a bunch
- 56:26Speaker 1: of these games because of emulators, so it's allows future
- 56:30Speaker 1: generations to keep playing these games. Not that I'm future generations.
- 56:35Speaker 1: So five points there, cool, Okay, then we are looking
- 56:39Speaker 1: at this is so tough. It's all right, you can
- 56:42Speaker 1: give me the four. Actually, John, just for that and
- 56:48Speaker 1: because it was the thing of building character. I don't
- 56:51Speaker 1: know that I necessarily fully like that angle as the hero.
- 56:54Speaker 1: It sounds more like the villain. I'm going to go
- 56:56Speaker 1: four for Drew. For communal game pool, Oh yeah, that's
- 56:59Speaker 1: happened because it brought again. It's the community, it's the
- 57:02Speaker 1: it's every We were each other's libraries back in the day.
- 57:05Speaker 1: We could just loan each other things. Now We're all
- 57:08Speaker 1: obsessed with protecting our whatever assets we do have in
- 57:12Speaker 1: this century.
- 57:13Speaker 4: And the games you do have are digital and can't
- 57:15Speaker 4: be shared half the time. Anyways, that's true, that's true.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Although I have started buying CDs, so if anyone would
- 57:20Speaker 1: like to loan a CD the game Genie, but also Patience.
- 57:27Speaker 4: What does Patients ever gotten? Anybody a kick ass guns
- 57:30Speaker 4: and Roses song? Yeah, you're right, John?
- 57:34Speaker 1: Two points for you, three points, three points, as many
- 57:40Speaker 1: points as I can get. I'm relentless this time. I'm
- 57:44Speaker 1: just not a guns and Roses fan. That's all it is.
- 57:47Speaker 1: That is the end of the rounds. Let's ask mother
- 57:50Speaker 1: brain to calculate the later scores. If a sentient brain
- 57:54Speaker 1: isn't smart enough to do so, somebody needs to save us,
- 57:57Speaker 1: Save us kind of the pea glove are on twenty
- 58:05Speaker 1: two points. We am error are on twenty one points earned.
- 58:12Speaker 5: I was hoping you were going to do the mother
- 58:13Speaker 5: brain voice from Captain in the game Master.
- 58:17Speaker 1: I've not practiced. Would you like to give me a John?
- 58:19Speaker 4: Oh?
- 58:20Speaker 1: I don't even know if I could. I think it
- 58:22Speaker 1: was something like this, kind of a weird warble. I
- 58:28Speaker 1: love it.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Disturbed Southern lady.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Yes, I think it was actually a man doing the voice.
- 58:33Speaker 2: It was such a bizarre choice for an alien brain.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't sound too evil. I'm gonna have to
- 58:38Speaker 1: go back and watch it. See how I did Round
- 58:43Speaker 1: three next, after these smart ads for the Nintendo Switch to,
- 58:47Speaker 1: I'm personally waiting for the PS five two, and I
- 58:49Speaker 1: guess a few people are waiting for the Xbox Series
- 58:52Speaker 1: X two. When will this cultural cycle end back soon?
- 59:03Speaker 1: Round three is called Merch Table. It's the game of
- 59:05Speaker 1: ridiculous merch items and even more ridiculous prices. I will
- 59:10Speaker 1: show our players a piece of neys inspired merch listed
- 59:13Speaker 1: on the drop shipping aislop digital retailer Etsy dot com.
- 59:18Speaker 1: They will each then place a bid for how much
- 59:20Speaker 1: they think this item has been listed for in US dollars. Sorry, drew.
- 59:26Speaker 1: The closest bid to the real listing scores a point.
- 59:29Speaker 1: But I will also hand out bonus points for how
- 59:31Speaker 1: close you and others may be, so even if all
- 59:35Speaker 1: four of you are miles away, the closest answer will
- 59:37Speaker 1: still score a point. Okay, all you get to go
- 59:41Speaker 1: off of is the title. Oop, there we go. The
- 59:46Speaker 1: title and the image I will drop in our group
- 59:50Speaker 1: chat here. Okay, the first item winning Tips for Nintendo
- 59:54Speaker 1: or nineteen ninety strategy guide book NYS, game Boy, Super Mario, Ductails,
- 59:59Speaker 1: Castle Vane Near retro Gamer collectible paperback. Imagine how hard
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: it is to write a Christmas lists as a kid
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: in this generation. You have to write like fifty words
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: per product. So this is a game kind of about
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: knowing the fandom and how much things might be worth,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: but it's also a game of how much of people
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: charging for things on etzy these days, which.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: Is before we go into the answers, could we just
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: discuss this cover for half a second. That rabbit is
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: gonna haunt my dreams for the end of my life,
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: only I hate it so much.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: There's a rabbit.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he's wearing like a like he's got like a
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: a like twishbowl spaceman helmet, but his ears come out
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: of it for some reason.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: And a pipe. He's like a flesh colored stomach for
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: some reason. And the most like weirdly like accurate toes
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: I've ever seen. It's it's horrifying dying.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: What about the stone? What about the stoned mushroom?
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, no, that thing is like messed up. Although
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: I kind of get its vibe a little better.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Shit, and you know, yeah.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: It could be a toothless, meth addicted scrotum.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I need I might need to raise my bid
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: on this.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: She knows how many classic characters were included.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Yeah, they must all be like intentional knockoffs because it
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: won't be an official thing. So it's like, is the
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: rapit meant to be? Like link? Well, it's got like.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: A ninja that's like the only even remotely recognizable thing
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: on you.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: I mean, I guess.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: Them just be like goombas maybe.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Oh night, Matthuel Coompus.
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: That's like the list of games is like actual games
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: and then just game Boy.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: All right, let's let's get some bits for this, Ben,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: What have you written down?
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Well, even though the cover says three dollars and ninety
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: five cents figured with inflation, it's probably fifteen dollars and
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: seven cents.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Now fifteen dollars and seven cents. Okay, it's pretty dog
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: eared and beat up. Yeah, I see that. I see that, Willie.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: What have you got?
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: I went in the same neighborhood. I rowed down thirteen dollars.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Thirteen dollars. Nice. These seem like reasonable prices for a
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: used buck.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: Drew a little higher up there. I went for thirty
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: six dollars and twenty seven cents.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: All right, love how specific it is, because that is
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: how atsy goes. Yep, one of these days someone's going
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: to get it spot on down to that, and John
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: is today that day.
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: I'm hoping so like my teammate, I think this person
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: thinks this thing is a bit more valuable. I put
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: twenty four ninety.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Seven, twenty four ninety seven, okay, interesting, four of us
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: and on seven cents. Yeah, yes, let's make will it
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: was the only we thing?
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: Will?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: How much? Again? Thirteen?
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: What? Thirteen? Just thirteen?
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: I think we are the rest of us all ended
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: with aus seven for some reason.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Damn. And then okay, this is like, is there equal
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: distance between wild? I think I think John has it
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: by like fifty cents or something. Jesus, if the math
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: is mathing, the actual price is twenty dollars and fifty
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: four cents.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna say a point each for Ben and John,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: but then a bonus point for John for being the
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: absolute closest. So two points, one point. I'll take it,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Thank you, John. Yeah, I did something well, and that doesn't.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Seem horribly unreasonable for its like I was half expecting
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: to be like seventy nine eighty four.
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, vintage classic, one of a kind, never reprit
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: rare out of print.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, let's have item number two. It is
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Kirby with legs, three D printed Figurine's got toes horrifying?
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I hate it?
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: Where can I order it?
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: How tall is it? How big is it?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Cannot reveal that, Willy, I'm so sorry.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: You gotta you gotta use context clues.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I need a banana for scale.
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: I mean the quality of those toes tells me it's
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: a pretty decent printer or a pretty large item.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I need a big bulk for scale. I mean talk
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: about night matth fuel.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: I wonder what he ate?
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: Yeah, who does Kirby swallowed again? These legs?
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: It was just a.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Banana, two bananas. He's standing on two bananas. Okay, we
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: got some bids down for Kirby with legs, three D
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: printed figurine up.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: Staring at it. Wait for the note context after this
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: episode and see what she.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Says, John, what did you put for this one? All right?
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: I'm thinking it's smaller, so I'm going for six forty eight,
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: six forty eight, okay, Drew, I'm thinking it's bigger and
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: high quality. So I went for forty nine dollars and
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: two cents woo cents covering the range, covering the range range,
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: a little end of the spectrum.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Definitely, all right, Ben, what have you got? I just
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: went with fifteen oh seven again, I bet, I don't know.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: It looks like it's maybe six inches tall. I could
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: see the layer lines, but you know, minimal pain. I
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: think it's pretty simple, Willy, what have you put for that?
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: I went with what I would pay for it forty
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: four two forty four.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Maybe it's worth that much, and maybe contact the cellar
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: and let them know because they could make more of
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: a profit because it's not quite that high. Sorry, Willy
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: and Drew. Although I respecting going that high. We actually
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: have a pretty close answer here, Ben. It's listed for
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: fifteen dollars on the dot and you put fifteen or seven.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I think I think I gotta say, I think I
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: gotta say three points seven cents.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: Seven cents was just covering the tip.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Yeah, fantastic stuff there, Ben, That's probably one of the
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: closest answers we've had in this game. Oh yeah, I'll
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: take it.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: Yeah, krewby with legs.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I was almost getting ready to hit the button
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: that would make the balloons fall from the ceiling. All right, next,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: let me just find the image here and not send
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: my nudes.
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: Okay, well that isn't your nude right now?
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, sorry, that is my dude. Okay, your item
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: is twelve by thirteen The Lunch of Zelder in lay
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: eight bit game cartridge cutting board Zelder Funny Gift gaming gift,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: video game NERD gift.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: Does it include the carrots?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: It does not include the carrots. I can reveal that much.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: If that knife looked like a master sword, it would
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: be all over.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that'd be so good. Also, the Lunch of Zelder, Like,
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: I get what the pun is, but it's like bad,
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: it's not.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: A great pun. Yeah.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Like maybe if they had said the luncheon of Zelda.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's tracks better.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Also, that triforce on the shield is not it's like
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: a skew with.
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: The yeah lined up properly.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Nor is there a riforce on his shield like that.
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: Normally it's the highly and symbol. Yeah, this is made
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: by some real scrub who doesn't respect his games.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Okay, let's start with Willy this time. What do you
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: go for this?
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: Thirty three thirty three, thirty three.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: All the threes, thirty three thirty three.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: Oh tri force, I get it, funny.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Oh oh, that's very clever.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: That is annoying, jerk on Etsy clever.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: I wish I would have thoughte of that first.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Ben, I went with thirty nine seventy five,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: thirty nine seventy five, okay, both in the thirties that
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: with the peak glove over to we am Era Drew.
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: I did a little more of a normal number for
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: once twenty nine forty.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Nine, twenty nine forty nine okay, okay, and John all
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: right covering the range.
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: I think this person values their stuff a lot more
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: with they think they're super creative. So I went sixty
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: eight thirty four.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Sixty eight thirty four. Well, John's on the right track
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: there because this is listed for one hundred and five dollars,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: so that's gonna be a points. So we are eraror yes,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: I wasn't close enough for extra points. I'm afraid not
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: still could junk out. Yeah, I like you that you
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: valued the craftsmanship, but this person has also valued lots
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: of profits.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's it's a single chunk of maple.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: I'll give him there, But like I can see some
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: marks like yeah, this is.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: It's also you can tell it's a small knife, but
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: with the design of a bigger knife, so I think
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: the size of it would be disappointing as well.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, it's weird. Is weird in general? Those
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: little Santoku's not actually a great cutting board.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Yeah, could we talk about the lunch of Zelder again?
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: Yeah, so bad luncheon and also just like a weird
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: generic fond not even like the games font Yeah, this
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: publicly PLoud all buy reviews show really teach them a lesson.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: All right? Your next item Mike Tyson's punch out dry
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: fit shorts, large size, stretchy. It's a fake autograph.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: Oh I want them.
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: Also, the position of the bulky arm right over the
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: crotch is justless.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: And it gets stretchy too, So oh, send me a
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: link for this later the role plays. You could have
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: something something my glass jaw.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: I don't know you figured out there's something that there's
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: something that mister referee Mario.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: I like your hair, Darling, could you wear the Mike
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Tyson punch out stretchy shots tonight please? I really want
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: to pound something, if you know what I mean. All Right,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: our bids down for these fantastic shots. All right, Drew,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: what have you got? Twelve bucks in a pen? Twelve
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: bucks and one penny for good measure? What about you? John?
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: I've got thirty eight eighty three, thirty eight eighty three
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: al right, okay, okay, Willie.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: Twenty two ninety seven.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Twenty two ninety seven good stuff, and Ben twenty eight
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: even even twenty eight and even twenty eight dollars if
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: it's twenty eight oh seven, I'm gonna well, I really
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: wish it was. But John, you'll actually be happy with
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: what this is because the actual answer is thirty six
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: ninety nine. Woo. I'm gonna be two points for that
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: because that is pretty close. And Ben, what what was
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: yours again? Twenty eight? I think that's close enough for
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: one point? I think I would I would give one
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: point for within ten bucks? Yeah, I think so, or
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: like a percentage or whatever. I don't know. I'm making
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: the rules up as I go along. So all right,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: one last item, prove.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: Me with three legs.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I almost sent Derby again. Do anyone remember the price trick?
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: All right? Your final item is Nintendo Entertainment System miniature. Hmmm,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: but how miniature?
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: The injection molding marks on that look like is this
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: like like one of those erasers?
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: Yeah, it looks like you say, like the rubbery material
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: uses an eraser. These you're all pencil toppers kind of
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: do the math. I'm like two controllers, three games, the
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: whole console. Oh oh, mari Ver's logo, assuming it's a singer.
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: But it was actually decent quality.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Lot to deliberate here, and no carrots for scale either,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: so tough. All right.
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: I had one written down, but I scratched it out.
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: So if there's any eagle eyed viewers that go, worait
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: a minute, there's another one scratched out.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: I already did it. Good job getting in there, early, Ben.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: What have you got for this? Tree?
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: Fitty tree fitty.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Nice John, I've got twelve sixty seven, twelve sixty seven, Drew.
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: I thought I was wearing low ball in this when
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: I went twenty two bucks.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Flat bucks flat okay, okay, and Willie eleven fifteen eleven. Right, Look,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I don't actually have the dimensions here. I just know
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: it was like dolls house tiny. It was really small. However,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: it was also listed for thirty four dollars and flat
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: fucking see which that sums up this round? Fucking Okay,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: let's ask Princess Selda to calculate the latest scores as
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: I try and force a joke. I'm pretty sure I
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: made that joke back in season one as well. The
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: pea glove are on twenty seven points. Oh it was
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: a good round. You had that killer yeah, mm hmm,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: but we am error also on twenty seven points. Oh
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: no wayre we tied up heading into the quickfire around
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: where everything can change, of course, but before we get there,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: let's talk prizes. This episode. Star Prize is the concept
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: of home. The NES was part of a generation of
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: consoles that took us out of communal public spaces such
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: as arcades and into the intense isolation of our own homes,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: further cementing individualism as the dominant ideological force of our time.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: I forgot to write a jock then, but our team
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: will also receive Kirby with legs three d.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: Sweet, I'll say forty.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Our fight or Quickfire around will test your broader pop
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: culture knowledge, and it's called I want an NEZ. Grandma.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: You know a Nintendo Entertainment System Now, as we all know,
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: NES stands for Nintendo Entertainment System. But how well do
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: you know your other acronyms and initialisms? In this game,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I will give our players clues to an initialism or
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: acronym from pop culture history. Those clues will be in
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: the style of your sibling trying to tell you how
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: to play a game backseat gaming from the sofa. Basically,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: there is, of course, a classic gate Leapers twist. You
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: can't just say anys. You have to say every word
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: that the acronym stands for, and if you don't get it,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: someone else can buzz in and try and build the
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: knowledge and give me the full answer. Whoever says the
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: full answer first gets the point you buzz in by
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: yelling out your team name. Let's practice that we be
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: we MA, we have we got P versus we. So,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: for example, if I said no, you've got to get
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: clearance before you can go into Quantico, why is your
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: agent moving like that?
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Yes, Ben, Central Intelligence Agency, It's not.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: What I have here. That's not what I've got for Quantico.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Collect and ear piece, put on a suit, and get
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: to your first Yes, John, Federal Bureau of Investigation. That's
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: exactly what we're looking forward.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: I could have sworn it was Federal boob Inspector.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: All those shirts would lie to me. Remember, you can
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: interrupt me at any point, and please do. Are we
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: all ready? Whoa so geez? All right? Then here we go. No,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: you need to make a ten piece bucket, and don't
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: forget the gravy. Yes, Kentucky Fried Chicken. It is indeed
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: your kitchen fresh chicken when they were being weird for
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: a couple of years.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: Really.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, back in like the early two thousands. Interesting, OKAYFC, No, no, no,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: you just have to keep selecting jokes until noise comes
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: from their mouth. I know it's not very interesting, but
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: you have to make them do it, make them chuckles
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: so we can all hear, right, we is this laugh
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: out loud?
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: It's laugh out all right? Oh god, okay, we really
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: we're taking to stretch on this one. I get no, No,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: you can't double dripple if you want to make the
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: playoffs through Yes, Willie n.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: ME National Basketball Association.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I'll take it. You didn't quite finish saying NBA before
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: I heard National Basketball Association. Good stuff. That was a stutter,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: and I apologize. No, no, no, you've got to weigh
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: the gun at the moving car. Don't look at the
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: grassy knoll. You've got to hit him right in there. Yes, John,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Sean f. Kennedy, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, good, Yes, you remember
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: the middle name.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: I was about to buzz it, and I'm like, oh,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: the name is No. You have to convert the file
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: first so that it's readable. Export it from the word proceed.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: That's going to be John. Oh, Ship, never mind, I
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: don't I don't know the actual words. We I think, okay, yeah, Ship,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: I don't know it either. Do you want to take
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: a guess? Because guess is.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: Tikto neutral graphic.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Okay, okay, I see which direction you're going in. I
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: see Drew. Do you want to buzz?
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: I think, yeah, I'm a buzz and we I think
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: this one is a published document format.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Oh, that's so close, but it's not what it is.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: Yes, Ben, portable document format.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: It is portable fudge. Give him a half point. It
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: will be a full pot. It's a great example of
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: stealing in this game. Yeah, okay, next. No, in order
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: to be this, you have to beat the game on
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: the hardest difficulty before you can call yourself the farm
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: animal who will eat anything to be the best. We Yes, Willy,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: the greatest of all time. Yes, it is indeed the time.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: It's the first one with four. I had the same thoughts.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Why I was like one of three or other animals
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: are there and we'll keep in cow. Is there something
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: for cow?
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: No?
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: No, No, you didn't drink enough first before getting in
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: the car. You're going to need to space to the heart. Yes, Ben,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: driving under the influence, It is, indeed you No, you've
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: got to have to No, you've got no. I just
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: wrote that wrong. I was driving under the influence when
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I was writing this. No, you're going to have to
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: take another hit if you really want to see God.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: And then we unlock the grateful Dead bonus round. Yes, Willy.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: Liazo disergic acid.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it's pretty It's kind of close enough. You've said,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: like a lot of you're kind of missing a suffix,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: so I'm tempted to give it to ship. Does anyone
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: else think they know it exactly?
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: No, I really don't.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: I'm going to give Willy a point then, because it's yeah,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: it's like surgic acid dithellamide alamide off the end.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: So I know something similar to what Willy said, and
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: that was about as far as I could go.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure any drugsman would have said, Yes, that's
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: that's exactly what it's called. All right, next one, No, no,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you have to go here and attend one of their programs.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: You've had too many DUIs and taken too much LSD.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: So the kid, yes, John alcoholics anonymous, that's not what
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: I was here, but you fell in for the trap. Yeah.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: So the kids down at the y MCA, which isn't
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: the acronym that this is, are going to have to
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: teach you a thing or two about staying clean and
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: possibly rap at the same time. Oh, I Drew, I'm
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: going to go to Drew just forah.
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: Is this mother's against drunk driving and it's not right?
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: So no, sorry, that must be a Canadian thing.
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: Is this a drug awareness resistance education?
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I'm so sorry that what I was thinking. Shit, it's not.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: That's not what the A stands for, Yes, Ben.
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: Drug addiction resistance educations not what the stands What else
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: like to keep guessing what the A stands for? We drug.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: Drug? Oh ship, I had one in my head. Drug.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Wait did you just see addiction? I don't know. Yes,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: drug abstinence resistance education, Oh my god, there's so many
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: good as that would work for this, but it's not.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: It's not abstinence, drug resistance. No, drugs androids, we drugs,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: alcohol resistance. It's not. But that's a good I'm just
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: gonna I'm going to reveal what it is and say
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: no points it's drug abuse resistance. Stupid.
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're going to do drugs, don't abuse them.
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: Just you know them normally and you're fine.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: It's not just say no, it's just say a little bit,
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: all right.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: Next one, No, you have to go through kitchen where
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: before you can get to home where I know it's
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: like a maze. That's the whole of the game. Yes, Willie,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: this is.
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: That uh bed bath and beyond.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: It's not but I.
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: Know that's not an acronym.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: What I'm thinking is an acronymy here. Oh no, you
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: can't stop for meat balls yet you haven't earned them.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: I have no idea what it stands for. Anyone want
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: to take a guess at what It could stand for
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: sweetishikiya is uh.
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: Yeah, buzz in international kitchens uh the East, and for.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Essentials associationies. Sorry, welly, it's not accessories girkeeping Ram Grinbaum.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: I'm actually going to give you it. What are you
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: talking about? Because genuinely, okay, it's it's the name of
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: the founder and I'm going to read you the name
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: of the founder now and you tell me it doesn't
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: sound like what benja ingvar kamprad el matrad agamarand nothing
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: like it. Give a half point, we'll go half point
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: for no time, no ties half next, No, you have
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: to solve the little puzzle before the website will let
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: you place the order. It's so they can tell you're
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: a bot or not, if you're a bot or not.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I'm losing my mind. I think the box of the enemies,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: but it's getting harder to tell. Just find the squares
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: with buses in them. Okay, I have no idea this
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: was that's an acronym. Anyone want to take a cat?
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: Yes, yes, Willie artificial intelligence check.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Oh look it's not right. But if it was called that, hey,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I'll take a guess. A guess, yes, Ben.
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: Computerized Authentication penis tickling.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Child, hindering animal, A penis tickling child, hindering animal.
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: Children toiling.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: Together?
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: Yeah, God drew, Uh cryptic nothing else comes to mind?
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: Cryptic uh anagram.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: That part just get everything else around it. Hey, that
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: we're getting wrong again. All right, I'm just going to
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: reveal this week alcohol. Yes, I'll call ito. Yes, it's abuse.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: It is actually very annoyingly because it has more words
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: than it has in the acronym. Completely automated public turing
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: tests to tell computers and humans apart. A. Wow.
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: That would have been my next guess.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: I believe where's the penis tickling happened?
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: I've been doing captures wrong and quick before the buzzer
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: Nintendo Entertainment System. That's not correct, I guess. No, No,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: you're too far in the future. This game isn't even
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: out yet. We're in nineteen eighty six, while you're all
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: the way in nineteen ninety one. You think you can
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: just put one adverb in the front of your branding
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: and make a whole new console.
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: Actually, is it this Superintendo Entertainment System?
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: It is indeed the Super.
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: As soon as the guest John I was like, it's
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: gonna be this neest.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, what a game, what a quick fire?
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: Oh my god, great stuff. And before we get to
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: those very close final scores, i'd like to thank our players.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: You've you've all been something of entertainment systems yourselves. That's
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: what my wife calls me. All right, Ben John, Where
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: can folks check out Space Oddities and pick up now

- 1:25:41Speaker 2: on my to do list because I usually give it
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: a waiting period for the folks that actually like Kickstarted,
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: so that needs listen. But that should be up there
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: shortly too.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Nice. Nice, And you can.
- 1:25:50Speaker 5: Also find us, even though we're a bit slower these days,
- 1:25:55Speaker 5: Geek Exploration the podcast. We've got a big backlog and
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: we're going to record run right after here, so there'll
- 1:26:01Speaker 5: be at least one new episode for you to listen to.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: Excellence. Looking forward to it. I believe it's going to
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: be about the superhero summer we're having. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: it's very good, very good, and I'm sure it'll be
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: out by the time this comes out, because you much
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: faster with editing than I am. Yeah, we'll see.
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll see about that. We have a flash episode
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: that took a while, or maybe it was the Little
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: Juice one. I can't remember, but I can't complain. I'm
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: not doing it anymore.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: I got to remember how to edit. Oh fantastic. And
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: can I ask about space oddities for is on the Horizon? Yeah? So,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: despite well, it's kind of weird.
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: I don't know if maybe I had had a little, uh,
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: a little desperation kick when when I started having some
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: vision problems recently, but I actually started working in earnest
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: on number four, So I mean beautiful. There's no there's
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: no projected date right now, but it is working. It
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: is written and being drawn superb.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: And yeah, I'm I mean obviously jokes we've meant throughout
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: this episode. Sorry to hear that you're having eyesight problems,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: but that's awesome that you're still able to get art
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: on paper and make space of disease. That's also it's
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: the iPad. I can I can blow that shit up
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: real big. Yes here, I am still imagining. It's the
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: twentieth century.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: Sorry, if John goes blind, I'll finish the comic. You
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: guys won't even notice that.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: We do have to see that version of the series
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: as well.
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: That's the kicks or back or exclusive. I want the
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: illustrated version.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: Good stuff, Okay, Willie. The Grand Rapidians Play video Games
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: archive I believe is still online.
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: Is that?
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: Should people check that out?
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: It is? Yes, check that out. We had five years
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: of podcasting about different drinks and different video games, so
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: it's a fun time. We're on a semi permanent break
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: right now. We'll come back someday maybe if we can
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: find a new host. So that's not Spotify, that's also free.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: That is the that is the tough ask. Yes, completely, Yeah,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: I've learned everything about Grand Rapids from your podcast. Weally
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: everything I know about Grand Rapids, Beer City USA exactly.
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: That's all you need it out, That's yeah, yeah, that's
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: all I need beer in video games?
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: What else do you need? All? Right, good stuff. I'll
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: put a link to those in the show notes. And Drew,
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: let's talk. Let's not carrying wayward actually, because that's started
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: up again.
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: Yeah, a little bit of a hiatus, but by the
- 1:28:26Speaker 4: time this episode is airing, or just shortly after our
- 1:28:29Speaker 4: first episode of season nine should be dropping. We're back
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: in the game, We're back on the road. We are
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: six seasons away from the end of the show. There's
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: an actual finish line insight, which is both horrifying and amazing.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: Press play is also going strong as well. We just
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: had our Resident Evil episode drop, which was very fun,
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: and I am currently writing some games for our next
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: episode on Doom Beautiful. And despite some earlier segments, I
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: will remind people that I do have a shop on
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: et seed.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: No, but you're right.
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: Etsy has become a horrible place. It's just like Amazon,
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: one of the only options available for artists like us.
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: So do you go over to Etsy or just my
- 1:29:08Speaker 4: website Drusalman dot ca and go to the pin section
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: from there or boxless pins? I think a search will
- 1:29:13Speaker 4: still bring me up pretty quickly in Google under the
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: AI slop at the top. Yes, fun fact, if you
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: add the word fuck to the end of your Google research,
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: it'll drop the AI results.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Oh that's good to know. That's a genuinely helpful tip. Yeah,
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: we shouldn't have to do, but it's good to know.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: We're going to do it.
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: But when you really want to find some of Drew's
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: fucking boxless pins.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: No way, that's the searched nice. I love it. And
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: in regards to Etsy, it's still good if you have
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: a linked, if it's a trusted seller, if it's a
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: seller you know is trusted, that's still fine.
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: I came across an artist at at a comic shop
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: in Ireland and then I found his Etsy shop and
- 1:29:49Speaker 5: grabbed a bunch of shit from him because it was
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: super good.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: All right. Links to all of our players, projects, works, podcasts, comics, pens,

- 1:30:26Speaker 1: We are Era finish on thirty one points, the Peak

- 1:30:40Speaker 1: Peak Glove. Well done, gentlemen.
- 1:30:46Speaker 4: Your outstanding members in this group was a close one.
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we barely pulled that off.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: Then, Oh damn, that was tight.
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: I get I can reuse my Mario first place statue
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: and I'd have to print a new one.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: I forgot you to do all the little statue Prince,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: and you beat me. Yeah, that's right.
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: That's gonna happen every once in a while.
- 1:31:09Speaker 4: I mean, so it makes sense that I would lose
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: do the Snass episode. I'll get my redemption arc. Didn't
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: we lose Scott Pilgrim?
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: I can't remember. We might have a good combination. We're
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: a good combination for laughs.
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: But uh yeah, definitely we'll find our niche and redeem
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: ourselves one day.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: There we go.
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: Yes, and this show is definitely about winning.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:31:31Speaker 3: Speaking of winning, Drew, I'm going to get you the
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: file for that Kirby statue so you can start. Yeah.
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: Hell, yes, Kirby with leg Pittons coming soon.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Make the legs longa make it sexy and they dangle.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: Oh actually legit might do this.
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: The Kirby part about six inches higher, and you'll sell
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: twice as many.
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: We have been gatelyapers. Thank you so much for listening.

- 1:32:19Speaker 1: year old. We'll be back next time when we'll do
