• 5:07
Speaker 4: Oh? My new favorite is do buy chocolate?
• 5:11
Speaker 5: Oh that's so good.
• 5:13
Speaker 3: I have not had it looks like wheat.

• 5:18
Speaker 5: It is so good. It is so good.
• 5:22
Speaker 1: Oh my god, I see people eating us like y'all

• 5:29
Speaker 5: My daughter, my daughter in law got me to try.
• 5:32
Speaker 5: It's so good. So mm hmm okay, so.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: We got a chocolatelic at the bottom.
• 5:38
Speaker 3: In the sport. Something about you.
• 5:42
Speaker 6: I'm an avid gardener. So a lot of people don't
• 5:45
Speaker 6: know I'm a gardener. First, Well, actually I have a farm,
• 5:48
Speaker 6: so I have goats, I have chickens, dogs.
• 5:53
  Speaker 5: Like like I'm gonna I have a farm. A lot
• 5:57
Speaker 5: of people don't know that. It's a lot, lot of work.
• 6:01
Speaker 5: A lot of people don't know that.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Acts like, oh my god, I'm a city girl because
• 6:10
Speaker 1: you know me, I see a cop coming.
• 6:11
Speaker 3: I'm the opposite the break.
• 6:14
Speaker 1: I mean, really as mean as people say they are goats, like, no,
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: they're not.
• 6:20
  Speaker 5: They're really playful.
• 6:23
  Speaker 6: I guess you know, I think I was blessed. I
• 6:26
Speaker 6: have some great goats. Like, Okay, so my boy goat
• 6:30
  Speaker 6: he's a little you know, but he's he's so sweet.
• 6:35
Speaker 6: You know, you give him a little biscuit.
• 6:37
  Speaker 5: He's sweet.
• 6:38
Speaker 6: He will he will have but you though he will. Yeah,
• 6:43
Speaker 6: but it's not it's not bad.
• 6:47
Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I'm sure she said it's not bad.
• 6:56
Speaker 3: All right. The hit is tea maker.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: Tell us about is working for a man on the covers.
• 7:13
Speaker 3: Y'all laughing at me. But I like him.
• 7:18
  Speaker 4: Good.
• 7:19
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 7:21
Speaker 6: Hitter Hitter is a gooon, Like I like to put
• 7:26
Speaker 6: a warning label on Hitter.
• 7:29
Speaker 5: Hitter is a goon.
• 7:31
Speaker 6: He's like, out of all my male characters, he's the
• 7:34
Speaker 6: most I mean, I think I got one other that
• 7:38
Speaker 6: can compete with him, But he's the most he's a
• 7:41
Speaker 6: goon like he will snatch, he don't, he don't repeat hisself,
• 7:48
Speaker 6: say what he what he thinks, he don't bite his tongue.
• 7:53
Speaker 6: You know, he is a goom period. I don't know
• 7:58
Speaker 6: how else to describe it. And the only person, the
• 8:02
Speaker 6: only person he's sweet to, the only person he's nice to,
• 8:05
Speaker 6: the only person that see the other side of him,
• 8:07
  Speaker 6: is Angel.
• 8:08
  Speaker 5: It's his I mean, yeah, it's his. It's his lady.
• 8:14
Speaker 3: So so why make them so hard? You know, I'm
• 8:20
  Speaker 3: not complaining.
• 8:24
Speaker 6: I don't know what happened with that one. So like, so, okay,
• 8:29
Speaker 6: these characters. I have so many characters in my head
• 8:34
Speaker 6: talking to me. Now today they call it a writer.
• 8:38
Speaker 6: Before they called it like schizophrenic or something. But anyway,
• 8:43
Speaker 6: so they're in my head and hid it was just okay,
• 8:47
  Speaker 6: you know what?
• 8:48
  Speaker 5: So okay.
• 8:51
Speaker 6: Biblically, so we all know Bible stories, correct, correct. So
• 8:55
Speaker 6: let's take Moses for example.
• 8:57
Speaker 5: We all know the story of Moses. Moses. Moses was this.
• 9:02
Speaker 6: Warrior, but he was really humble, but really vicious, like
• 9:08
Speaker 6: like when you hear the stories of Moses, Moses was
• 9:11
Speaker 6: a warrior. Moses was vicious, and he had this speech impediment,
• 9:15
Speaker 6: and so when he talked, people kind of looked at
• 9:18
Speaker 6: him as like you know, you know, And so Moses
• 9:22
Speaker 6: actually was the the uh essence of Hitter for me,
• 9:30
Speaker 6: because when I read Moses, I read about this warrior
• 9:33
Speaker 6: who slayed you know, it was Moses that killed by
• 9:36
Speaker 6: Lamb and Baalamb was like this big time sorcerer that
• 9:41
Speaker 6: everybody was like, you know, using or.
• 9:43
Speaker 5: Whatever, but it was Moses who took him out, you know.
• 9:45
Speaker 6: And so Moses was this you know, he was vicious,
• 9:50
Speaker 6: you know, but he was humble. And so the same
• 9:52
Speaker 6: thing with hit Her, like hit Her don't mind that
• 9:54
Speaker 6: people look at him a certain way because of the
• 9:57
Speaker 6: way he talked or how he carried hisself. People look
• 9:59
Speaker 6: at him him as if he's unintelligent, but he has
• 10:01
Speaker 6: a very high IQ and different things like that. But
• 10:05
Speaker 6: he don't mind because he's he's actually very humble, even
• 10:09
Speaker 6: though he's still a good and he still will he
• 10:14
Speaker 6: don't speak well, you know, he has a very rough,
• 10:20
Speaker 6: rough appearance, you know. But I mean, Angel loved him.
• 10:25
Speaker 6: Somebody for everybody, you.
• 10:27
  Speaker 3: Don't the only one. I'm sorry, I don't see.
• 10:32
Speaker 1: Sorry Angel, Now we're gonna go to you miss ma'am,
• 10:41
Speaker 1: Someone to Watch Over Me. Your cover is beautiful. It
• 10:49
Speaker 1: speaks for itself. It's just it's one. Both of your
• 10:56
Speaker 1: novels are like night and Day.
• 11:00
Speaker 3: Why I say that is because it's like.
• 11:03
Speaker 1: Two different genres, but they speak so much through the covers,
• 11:12
Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And your your book brings
• 11:17
Speaker 1: out the softer side in me. Oh he's so sweet
• 11:23
Speaker 1: and yeah the other book, ye, So tell us a
• 11:29
Speaker 1: little bit about your Someone to Watch Over Me.
• 11:33
Speaker 4: So Someone to Watch Over Me?
• 11:34
Speaker 7: First of all, as Edwina was talking about her book,
• 11:37
Speaker 7: I was thinking, well, my book has a.
• 11:39
Speaker 4: Goon in it too.
• 11:41
  Speaker 5: You got.
• 11:45
Speaker 7: Imperial Is he's a goon, but he just wears fancy
• 11:49
Speaker 7: clothes and has an Ivy League education, but he's he's.
• 11:54
Speaker 4: About that action. So there's a goon.
• 11:57
  Speaker 3: In there too.
• 11:58
Speaker 4: And I was like wow.
• 12:00
Speaker 7: So anyway, Someone to Watch Over Me is something of
• 12:04
  Speaker 7: a coming.
• 12:04
Speaker 4: Of age story, but I don't.
• 12:07
Speaker 7: Want it to be relegated to that coming of age
• 12:11
Speaker 7: genre because we'll see these characters.
• 12:15
Speaker 4: Grow up and become full blown adults.
• 12:19
  Speaker 7: That's why I don't aagorize my That's why I'll categorize
• 12:23
Speaker 7: Someone to Watch Over me that way. But the first
• 12:27
Speaker 7: two books are definitely coming of age stories. You have
• 12:31
Speaker 7: to start somewhere with the characters, and so I believe
• 12:35
Speaker 7: in giving their origin story as much as I can,
• 12:38
Speaker 7: which is what I've done. And Someone to Watch Over
• 12:40
Speaker 7: Me Part one and two. But Part one and two
• 12:44
Speaker 7: are a part of about a ten book series, so
• 12:48
Speaker 7: there are eight more books to come.
• 12:51
Speaker 4: But my main character, Sarah.
• 12:53
Speaker 7: Is she's a very sweet young lady, but she's also
• 13:00
Speaker 7: very afraid because she is growing up in the foster
• 13:03
Speaker 7: care system and she doesn't want to get lost in
• 13:07
Speaker 7: the system. As a result, you see her doing whatever
• 13:11
Speaker 7: she needs to do and saying whatever she needs to
• 13:14
Speaker 7: say to stay on the safe side and to keep
• 13:17
Speaker 7: moving in the direction that she wants her life to go.
• 13:20
Speaker 4: So we introduced Imperial, and he.
• 13:23
Speaker 7: Becomes so many different things to her. He becomes everything
• 13:28
Speaker 7: she needs but also everything she does not need.
• 13:31
Speaker 4: So I don't want to give away spoilers.
• 13:34
  Speaker 3: But.
• 13:42
Speaker 1: So he's what she needs what she do need. That
• 13:47
Speaker 1: sounds like a power episode. That's Angela and and what's
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: his name?
• 13:54
  Speaker 4: Yeah?
• 13:55
Speaker 7: That sounds like yeah a little bit.
• 14:02
Speaker 1: So what made you guys want to write your books?
• 14:06
Speaker 1: Anybody can go first, what what was your inspiration.
• 14:09
  Speaker 3: For your books?
• 14:12
  Speaker 5: For me?
• 14:14
Speaker 6: So, Hitta appeared in Falling for Rome, and so in
• 14:21
Speaker 6: Falling for Rome, Hitter was one of Rome's best friends,
• 14:25
Speaker 6: and he was kind of like, you know this, this this,
• 14:29
Speaker 6: I don't know, some people kind of looked at him
• 14:30
Speaker 6: as kind of like this dark character because he he
• 14:34
Speaker 6: didn't speak much, and you know, he kind of just
• 14:38
Speaker 6: he always seemed kind of angry or whatever may have you,
• 14:42
Speaker 6: and I don't know, like he was the underdog and
• 14:46
Speaker 6: so like I feel like, you know, I'm always rooting
• 14:49
Speaker 6: for the underdogs. I wanted his story like to be
• 14:52
Speaker 6: told because I mean when you meet him and Falling
• 14:54
Speaker 6: for Rome, all you see is like, you know, they're
• 14:57
Speaker 6: kind of like, you know, picking on him because he
• 15:00
Speaker 6: obsessed with a teammaker, you know what I'm saying, and
• 15:03
Speaker 6: so they like, you know, are you still stalking that girl?
• 15:05
Speaker 5: You know you probably you know here. It's really so he.
• 15:08
Speaker 6: Was a he was a an ex boxer, a professional boxer,
• 15:12
Speaker 6: like he had you know, belts and everything, and so
• 15:15
Speaker 6: he's real big and so now he runs this gym,
• 15:18
Speaker 6: so he works out and stuff. He's kind of like
• 15:21
Speaker 6: he's kind of like almost like monstrous, you know what
• 15:24
Speaker 6: I'm saying. And so they like, are you still stalking
• 15:26
Speaker 6: that girl and scaring her? You know what I'm saying.
• 15:31
Speaker 6: And so when you first meet him from He's he
• 15:34
Speaker 6: appears to be a stalker. I mean, yeah he did stop,
• 15:39
Speaker 6: he stopped, you know what I'm saying. But uh, it
• 15:43
Speaker 6: was really sweet, you know what I'm saying. It was
• 15:45
  Speaker 6: really sweet.
• 15:46
  Speaker 5: Why you know?
• 15:47
Speaker 3: Okay, so I'm getting from your book.
• 15:52
Speaker 1: I'm feeling like a Creed the first movie. Yes, the
• 16:00
Speaker 1: Hide that I'm getting. And he did, Yeah, he did
• 16:03
  Speaker 1: stalk her.
• 16:04
Speaker 5: He did. He was a villain.
• 16:07
Speaker 6: Yeah, he was the villain in Fall of Her Home.
• 16:09
Speaker 6: And I just you know, sometime you want to tell
• 16:11
  Speaker 6: a villain story.
• 16:12
Speaker 5: So he was. He was a villain.
• 16:15
Speaker 3: There is nothing wrong with telling the bad boys stories.
• 16:18
Speaker 3: Sometimes they need a little light too, They need a
• 16:21
  Speaker 3: little light.
• 16:22
  Speaker 5: That's it.
• 16:23
Speaker 3: I agree, And certainly Neede you write yours.
• 16:27
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 16:28
Speaker 7: So I had a theme in mind. There's this thing
• 16:31
Speaker 7: that I really wanted to bring draw people's attention to.
• 16:35
Speaker 7: I won't say what it is because it sort of
• 16:37
Speaker 7: spoils it's a spoiler. But I had more of like
• 16:42
Speaker 7: a moral to my story and a theme something that
• 16:48
Speaker 7: I really wanted people to pay attention to, and that
• 16:51
Speaker 7: was why I wrote it. Plus, I've always had a
• 16:55
Speaker 7: heart for people in foster care, especially those who actually
• 17:00
Speaker 7: grow up in age out of the system.
• 17:02
  Speaker 3: It just always.
• 17:03
Speaker 7: Touches my heart to see that, and so I wanted
• 17:06
Speaker 7: people's attention to be drawn to that as well.
• 17:09
Speaker 1: I like that because I to have a reader read
• 17:15
Speaker 1: the book and find that hidden message in it.
• 17:19
Speaker 5: I do like that. I do like.
• 17:21
Speaker 1: That, But I I'm one of those money got to
• 17:25
Speaker 1: tell me what the hidden messages because I get all
• 17:27
Speaker 1: wrapped up in the characters' lives and sit up there
• 17:30
Speaker 1: talk to the character.
• 17:31
  Speaker 4: Girl.
• 17:31
Speaker 3: I know you won't let them do. Yeah, I have
• 17:34
Speaker 3: a tenden. I'll set up here and talk to the
• 17:37
Speaker 3: whole book like ain't nothing to it.
• 17:39
Speaker 1: I don't know why, but I remember off stage we
• 17:43
Speaker 1: were talking about characters talking to you. What do you
• 17:47
Speaker 1: guys do when all these characters are coming and they talking?
• 17:52
Speaker 3: How do you handle everyone? Like Lord fans.
• 18:00
Speaker 6: I have had fans that is through with me because
• 18:05
Speaker 6: of this, just through with me, like it's like Patreon.
• 18:11
Speaker 6: Through Patreon, I've been able to kind of give voice
• 18:16
Speaker 6: to all these characters because through Patreon, when they when
• 18:20
Speaker 6: they're the ones speaking to me at the time, I
• 18:23
Speaker 6: can just write what you know, what's happening and what
• 18:26
Speaker 6: I'm seeing and just posted on Patreon, and the energy
• 18:30
Speaker 6: that I get back from my Patreons like helps fuel
• 18:35
Speaker 6: fuel how you know what I'm saying, Like you know,
• 18:39
Speaker 6: if I'll continue, you know what I'm saying, It's like
• 18:41
Speaker 6: they help fuel me, you know what I'm saying. But
• 18:43
Speaker 6: the characters talking to you can be bad and good.
• 18:47
Speaker 6: I mean good because you know, when you're working on
• 18:51
Speaker 6: their story, you know perfect, you know, but what they
• 18:54
Speaker 6: want to do is they want to go quiet when
• 18:56
Speaker 6: you're working on their story.
• 18:58
Speaker 5: And then another character.
• 18:59
Speaker 6: Be like, well, you know, you know it all started
• 19:03
Speaker 6: at the cornerston and you're like, oh, you know so,
• 19:13
Speaker 6: and now everything you're doing in your hand like you're
• 19:15
Speaker 6: cooking dinner, and they was like, so, you know I've
• 19:17
Speaker 6: seen it stand at the corner stove. Come on, you
• 19:19
Speaker 6: can't keep ignoring me, you know what I'm saying. And
• 19:21
Speaker 6: you're like, fine, fine, you sit down at your computer.
• 19:24
Speaker 6: It's like it all begin at the cornerstone, you know.
• 19:31
Speaker 3: So is it the same for you. They just start.
• 19:37
Speaker 7: You know what, That is definitely true for me. But
• 19:40
  Speaker 7: I also find that I don't know. I will hear
• 19:44
Speaker 7: a song and the song will produce an entire scene
• 19:50
Speaker 7: in my head and I won't be able to do
• 19:53
Speaker 7: anything else until I get it out and down.
• 19:55
Speaker 4: And so yeah, my characters definitely do talk to me.
• 19:59
Speaker 7: But and I also see their stories play out like
• 20:02
Speaker 7: in my mind, almost like a movie.
• 20:05
  Speaker 4: It's weird.
• 20:07
Speaker 3: So remember those two things you said, music and movie.
• 20:10
Speaker 3: Y'all gonna need that in about ten minutes. Just remember
• 20:14
Speaker 3: that I have this crazy question that just popping my head.
• 20:21
  Speaker 5: So all these.
• 20:22
Speaker 1: Characters that talk to you, and they're trying to take over,
• 20:26
Speaker 1: where's the craziest place or the craziest time? You had
• 20:30
Speaker 1: to stop what you're doing and right because they just
• 20:33
  Speaker 1: wouldn't stop.
• 20:35
Speaker 5: Mmmmmmm. Oh my goodness.
• 20:41
Speaker 6: It's been some Like I've been in the middle of
• 20:44
Speaker 6: shopping like at Walmart. I've been in the middle of
• 20:47
Speaker 6: like dropping like I remember one like when I was
• 20:50
Speaker 6: working on butter Baby, and while I was working on
• 20:54
Speaker 6: butter Baby, the character Solomon came to me Schlomo and
• 20:59
Speaker 6: I was put my daughter off and it's somewhere like
• 21:03
Speaker 6: I want to say, like some kind of like program
• 21:07
Speaker 6: like taekwondo or something like that. And I'm like, I'm
• 21:11
Speaker 6: I'm pulling stuff out the car and I was like, hey,
• 21:13
Speaker 6: you gotta hurry up, y'all run up, you know, And
• 21:15
Speaker 6: it hit me and I'm like, oh my, oh, yes,
• 21:18
Speaker 6: that's wonderful. And so like I'm I have her like
• 21:22
Speaker 6: her her her U uniform and everything, and I'm helping
• 21:26
Speaker 6: her get drugs. But I'm trying to write down before
• 21:28
Speaker 6: I forget, and I'm like and I'm talking to the teacher.
• 21:30
Speaker 6: I'm like, yeah, yeah, she So I was supposed to
• 21:32
Speaker 6: bring oh cupcase, that's what I forgot.
• 21:34
Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, next time I got it. You know. Yeah,
• 21:39
  Speaker 5: it happens.
• 21:40
Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, it had that happened to you?
• 21:45
  Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
• 21:46
Speaker 7: Actually, just I've been on a road trip. I'm in
• 21:48
Speaker 7: the middle of a road trip now. So I was driving.
• 21:51
Speaker 7: I drove about six hours today and I was just
• 21:55
Speaker 7: in the zone, just plotting the scene that I couldn't
• 21:59
Speaker 7: wait to get here right down. But in the meantime,
• 22:02
Speaker 7: since I was driving, I just pulled my phone out
• 22:04
Speaker 7: and started recording my notes.
• 22:06
Speaker 1: Oh technology writing, Okay, Okay, So I did say ten minutes, right,
• 22:17
Speaker 1: but I'm a shorten back because I got some good questions, so.
• 22:22
  Speaker 3: I forgot to tell y'all, no I didn't that at
• 22:28
Speaker 3: the end of the show we do fun questions.
• 22:31
Speaker 1: I love music and I love television, so let's have
• 22:37
  Speaker 1: a little fun.
• 22:38
Speaker 3: Okay, So both of you guys can answer the question.
• 22:44
Speaker 1: Someone said that a song can be something that gives
• 22:50
  Speaker 1: them that launching.
• 22:51
Speaker 3: Point for both of your books. If you could.
• 22:55
Speaker 1: Choose one theme song, does it depend? It doesn't matter
• 23:00
Speaker 1: what genre it is. What would be your theme song?
• 23:06
Speaker 1: Who would be singing it?
• 23:07
Speaker 3: And why? Who as would be singing it?
• 23:11
  Speaker 5: As in?
• 23:11
Speaker 3: Which character? And why?
• 23:16
  Speaker 7: Uh?
• 23:16
Speaker 5: For me to have to be Benny Siegel?
• 23:20
  Speaker 3: Uh mm hmmm?
• 23:23
Speaker 5: What is that song?
• 23:26
Speaker 6: It's a Benny Segel song because like all my male characters,
• 23:29
Speaker 6: like Hitter is the most vicious all my male characters
• 23:34
Speaker 6: goons like you know what I'm saying. He ain't even
• 23:36
Speaker 6: the most he ain't even the strongest or the most deadly.
• 23:39
Speaker 6: Is he just the most like crass?
• 23:42
Speaker 5: You know? But it have to be that Benny single song?
• 23:46
  Speaker 7: Uh?
• 23:47
Speaker 5: Is it the gouch? What is the name of that song?
• 23:50
  Speaker 1: Mm hmm?
• 23:52
  Speaker 3: I'm thinking, y'all.
• 23:55
  Speaker 6: Y'all know, y'all, y'all know I've used it in several
• 23:58
  Speaker 6: of my videos.
• 23:59
  Speaker 5: Y'all help me, y'all. Can't me help me out? What's
• 24:00
Speaker 5: the name of that song?
• 24:02
  Speaker 6: Ah?
• 24:03
  Speaker 1: Oh oh?
• 24:08
Speaker 4: I can hear it in my head, but I have
• 24:09
  Speaker 4: no idea.
• 24:12
Speaker 6: This is the melodie, y'all know, y'all, y'all gonna know.
• 24:18
Speaker 6: Everybody's listening, gonna know what I'm talking about. That's the
• 24:21
Speaker 6: same song. Now look at me down going off the
• 24:27
Speaker 6: screen to look at you know.
• 24:33
  Speaker 4: While she's looking it up. I don't know. I think
• 24:35
Speaker 4: mine would be Is it called do What?
• 24:39
  Speaker 3: By Laura Neil?
• 24:40
Speaker 7: Oh? Yes, okay, Soriah would be singing that my main.
• 24:50
Speaker 1: Character, Okay, okay, yep, okay, So why she's still looking
• 24:57
  Speaker 1: for hers?
• 24:58
Speaker 3: I'm gonna ask you this.
• 25:00
  Speaker 2: M hm.
• 25:02
Speaker 1: They just call and say, if we are going to
• 25:04
Speaker 1: make your book into a movie, we are going to
• 25:09
Speaker 1: give you the opportunity.
• 25:10
Speaker 3: To cast your mean characters male and female. Who would
• 25:16
Speaker 3: it be and why did you choose these two people?
• 25:20
  Speaker 2: Oh?
• 25:22
Speaker 4: Okay, so I already know who my who Soria is.
• 25:26
Speaker 4: She would be played by what's the young lady's name.
• 25:29
Speaker 4: Is it sky Skott Jackson?
• 25:31
Speaker 3: Is that her name?
• 25:33
Speaker 4: We're both looking. She was a little Disney character, Star Jackson.
• 25:40
  Speaker 3: Is it Star.
• 25:42
  Speaker 4: Hold on one second, it's sky s k a I Jackson.
• 25:48
Speaker 4: Oh yeah she would.
• 25:54
Speaker 3: What is she just in being?
• 25:57
Speaker 4: I think so she might have been.
• 26:01
Speaker 3: I think she just played it. Yeah, she just played
• 26:03
Speaker 3: a girl and be a math.
• 26:04
Speaker 5: She's supposed to be.
• 26:05
Speaker 3: She's supposed to be pregnant for me to next next
• 26:08
Speaker 3: go around. Yeah, I love being math. Sorry y'all. She
• 26:13
Speaker 3: was in the last episode too, but yeah, okay.
• 26:16
Speaker 7: Okay, be Soriah And I hate to be cliche, but
• 26:22
Speaker 7: I really think Imperial would be played by Aaron Pierre.
• 26:26
  Speaker 4: That's stuff up.
• 26:36
Speaker 5: War mom, I love.
• 26:49
Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, tianasailor girl, you hit that South Carolina accident?
• 26:56
Speaker 5: Come to walk. I am a geechee girl.
• 27:04
Speaker 1: I try not to bring it out.
• 27:09
Speaker 5: No, let it come out.
• 27:12
Speaker 1: Let somebody make me mad that closing that office.
• 27:16
Speaker 3: It's girl who she thinks she'd be talking to.
• 27:19
Speaker 5: Ain't nobody got time to be ghettle.
• 27:27
Speaker 1: So now how about your book? They called and they said, hey,
• 27:31
Speaker 1: we're gonna let you cast the main characters male and female,
• 27:35
Speaker 1: who would they be?
• 27:36
  Speaker 3: And why?
• 27:38
Speaker 6: Okay, now I'm speaking with my South Carolina next I'm not.
• 27:44
Speaker 5: Actually, let me tell you something.
• 27:45
Speaker 6: I'm writing a book about uh, South Carolina characters and
• 27:48
Speaker 6: they geechee, you know, And so I I mean, I've
• 27:52
Speaker 6: been deep in the trenches nobody were talking about. I mean,
• 27:58
Speaker 6: like research reach. Okay, So the song is Bennie Siegel
• 28:03
Speaker 6: the Truth, right, all my male characters whenever they introduce
• 28:09
Speaker 6: for the first time, do matter which book? Don't matter
• 28:12
Speaker 6: which book. When my male characters are introduced for the
• 28:15
Speaker 6: first time, Beanie siegell the Truth playing period, Like, go
• 28:18
Speaker 6: listen to the song and just know every male you
• 28:22
Speaker 6: could listen. You can play that song when each of
• 28:25
Speaker 6: my male characters are introduced, do matter which book?
• 28:28
  Speaker 5: If it's okay?
• 28:31
Speaker 6: And as far as characters, if I had to pick,
• 28:36
  Speaker 6: there's a fighter named Deonte Wilder. Okay, now it's he's
• 28:48
Speaker 6: not everybody's cup of tea. Okay, he not everybody.
• 28:52
  Speaker 1: He not.
• 28:53
Speaker 6: People be like, oh not my head, my head is.
• 28:57
Speaker 6: But you know, if you really read the story, Hitter
• 29:00
Speaker 6: is handsome to Angel because that's who, that's who the
• 29:04
  Speaker 6: most high.
• 29:04
  Speaker 5: Creative for him.
• 29:06
Speaker 6: But it would be Deontay Wilder, right, and my cousin Angel.
• 29:14
Speaker 6: I actually like, I actually took some characteristics from the
• 29:20
Speaker 6: character Angel from my cousin Angel, who I'm very proud of.
• 29:24
Speaker 5: She a smart, strong, strong.
• 29:28
Speaker 6: African American baby. And she listen, she is, she has graduated.
• 29:34
  Speaker 5: She a nurse.
• 29:35
Speaker 6: She going back to school. No, she's a nurse practitioner.
• 29:38
Speaker 6: Don't let me take nothing away from her. What you
• 29:41
Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. School, she's doing her thing. She
• 29:44
Speaker 6: the only little little pobw child I know that went
• 29:48
  Speaker 6: to Harvard.
• 29:50
Speaker 3: Yo, big apps my mind.
• 29:53
Speaker 5: I don't know you, but you go girl, you know
• 29:56
  Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
• 29:57
Speaker 6: So that's actually that's who I actually wrote that character after.
• 30:07
Speaker 1: So that is awesome. Oh and I'm looking at this
• 30:15
  Speaker 1: down till Wilder.
• 30:17
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 30:18
  Speaker 5: And he.
• 30:21
Speaker 6: What made me, what made me like choose him is
• 30:24
Speaker 6: because like his style of fighting. Although he not the
• 30:26
Speaker 6: champion no more, his style of fighting is it's like
• 30:30
Speaker 6: a real you know people they be talking about them like, oh,
• 30:32
Speaker 6: he's so hood you know. He fights like a hood limb,
• 30:36
Speaker 6: you know, and he fights like he's street fighting, but he.
• 30:39
Speaker 5: Was knocking folks out, you know what I'm.
• 30:41
Speaker 6: Saying, he was knocking folks out, you know, but he
• 30:47
Speaker 6: do he fight like he in the streets.
• 30:49
  Speaker 5: That's what I like.
• 30:51
Speaker 1: He has that look he has to look like, look,
• 30:54
Speaker 1: don't catch me on the alley. But he But those
• 30:56
Speaker 1: will be the ones that are like the biggest care bears. Yea, yeah,
• 31:01
Speaker 1: they would be the biggest carrec.
• 31:02
Speaker 3: Hold on this. You got a cute treace. Back to
• 31:07
Speaker 3: the screen. So I haven't finished yet.
• 31:15
Speaker 1: Now Lifetime is on the line and they said, we
• 31:22
Speaker 1: would like to do a Bible pick up you. We're
• 31:26
Speaker 1: gonna let you cast the person to be you. Who
• 31:31
Speaker 1: would you give that honor to?
• 31:34
  Speaker 3: And buy them?
• 31:41
Speaker 5: Lauryn Hill? Okay, m Lauryn Hill?
• 31:46
Speaker 3: And why miss Hill?
• 31:50
  Speaker 5: Like okay?
• 31:51
Speaker 6: You ever just like I've never been one to like
• 31:54
Speaker 6: go google over like you know, superstars anything, but you
• 31:59
Speaker 6: ever had one that that when they talk, they like
• 32:03
Speaker 6: speaking what's in your mind? You know what I'm saying,
• 32:05
Speaker 6: and you just like, yo, you know what I'm saying,
• 32:09
Speaker 6: that my you know my thoughts, and like you know
• 32:11
Speaker 6: what I'm saying. Lauren Hill like growing up, she was
• 32:13
Speaker 6: like she the one that taught me like it was
• 32:17
Speaker 6: okay to embrace me, to embrace my natural hair, to
• 32:21
Speaker 6: embrace you know, my skin color, to embrace my uniqueness,
• 32:25
Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. And she made me proud
• 32:28
Speaker 6: to look like I look. You know what I mean.
• 32:30
Speaker 6: And so definitely Miss Hill.
• 32:33
Speaker 1: Oh, I love it, love it, okays, ma'am.
• 32:39
Speaker 3: Lifetime is waiting. They know what to give this check to.
• 32:44
Speaker 4: Who don't give the check to? Mmmm? I don't know
• 32:49
Speaker 4: why Gabrielle Union is coming to mind?
• 32:51
Speaker 3: Okay, okay? And why are is union?
• 32:57
Speaker 4: Probably because she has dimples?
• 33:03
  Speaker 1: No, I don't know.
• 33:04
Speaker 4: Probably would have said Lauren Hill.
• 33:05
Speaker 5: But you know, oh dang it, did I beat you? Sorry?
• 33:08
Speaker 5: You know what, Lauren could play us both. She talented
• 33:11
Speaker 5: like that, she can do that, she can do it.
• 33:16
Speaker 3: I love Hill, I know I would she.
• 33:20
Speaker 1: I really wish she would come out one more, just
• 33:23
Speaker 1: give us one more.
• 33:26
Speaker 3: But I think Lauren, like y'all.
• 33:29
Speaker 6: You know, she did she did that song when nos
• 33:31
Speaker 6: she did do a most recent song with nas It's
• 33:36
Speaker 6: his lap and she ripped it.
• 33:38
Speaker 5: She ripped it or no, I.
• 33:42
Speaker 6: Don't know which one, but she she talked about you know,
• 33:44
Speaker 6: people talk about like how she don't be old time
• 33:46
Speaker 6: and stuff. She was like, I'm saving souls are you
• 33:47
Speaker 6: talking about me being on time? And she just like
• 33:50
Speaker 6: ripped it. She ripped it.
• 33:53
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I have to go find that.
• 33:57
Speaker 5: Yeah, she ripped it.
• 33:58
Speaker 6: I'm like, Oh, that's Lauren letting us know she still
• 34:00
Speaker 6: got the skill. There's a reason behind why she doing
• 34:04
Speaker 6: the things that she's doing. It's kind of like Dave
• 34:07
Speaker 6: Chappelle said, these people, you know, they like to label
• 34:10
Speaker 6: these people as crazy as weak. These people ain't weak.
• 34:13
Speaker 6: These people made it far up in the game. These
• 34:16
Speaker 6: not weak people. These are not crazy people. Maybe the
• 34:20
Speaker 6: industry is a little sick.
• 34:23
Speaker 7: I always thought she just wasn't willing to do what
• 34:25
Speaker 7: they were asking her to do.
• 34:27
Speaker 3: That's exactly what I was about to say.
• 34:29
Speaker 1: I felt like she did not want to compromise, like
• 34:32
Speaker 1: this is me, tick me how I am, or just
• 34:34
Speaker 1: don't take me at all. That that would be the
• 34:38
Speaker 1: person they'll label as the difficult one. No, just standing
• 34:42
Speaker 1: up because they know who they are. So I truly
• 34:45
Speaker 1: think that's one of the things that happened to laur
• 34:46
Speaker 1: in hell. And I don't blame in Lauren. So okay,
• 34:48
Speaker 1: I ain't got to tell you. I like the money,
• 34:51
Speaker 1: can let me go ahead and do what I need
• 34:52
Speaker 1: to do for my people.
• 34:54
Speaker 5: I brought she broke records. That's all.
• 34:59
Speaker 1: Yes, So before we leave tonight, I have one question. Well,
• 35:05
Speaker 1: I have two more questions, but the first question I
• 35:07
Speaker 1: always ask my author is, well, most of my authors,
• 35:12
Speaker 1: what does literary success look like to you?
• 35:19
Speaker 6: Using my platform to bring souls to the most high.
• 35:27
Speaker 7: Yeah, I would say that, and then I would also
• 35:30
Speaker 7: add to it healing people, encouraging people to heal.
• 35:35
Speaker 4: Those wounds, those bruised up, broken places. Yeah, that can
• 35:43
  Speaker 4: be healed.
• 35:45
Speaker 7: I would want to encourage that, but definitely want to
• 35:48
  Speaker 7: happen on.
• 35:49
  Speaker 4: The most SIGs.
• 35:51
Speaker 3: I am so loving that. That is beautiful. I am oh,
• 35:55
Speaker 3: I am so loving that. That's why you're a YouTube page.
• 35:58
Speaker 3: I like that. I saw your YouTube and I saw
• 36:00
Speaker 3: a couple of SIPs. I saw that.
• 36:04
Speaker 1: So before leave, I like to do something that's called
• 36:06
Speaker 1: the wrap up. So that's you give them all the
• 36:09
Speaker 1: information they need to follow you, to follow your books,
• 36:14
Speaker 1: to grab your books.
• 36:16
Speaker 3: Just give us to us.
• 36:21
