- 0:00"Who is the man who desire life, See good." So who is that person?
- 0:05Is a person that guards himself, guards his tongue for no connecting with evil.
- 0:15It's very hard not to connect, not to judge something negative that we see on others.
- 0:22But instead to focus in negativity, let's focus in goodness.
- 0:28Let's focus in doing good things.
- 0:36Welcome, my dear friends, to Psalm for the Soul, a weekly Torah study exploring the timeless wisdom, prayers, and praise of the Book of Psalm.
- 0:47Together, we'll uncover their historical context, spiritual depths, and practical application for everyday life.
- 0:56Whether you are seeking peace, encouragement, or deeper connection with God, you will find hope and inspiration one psalm at a time good morning.
- 1:19We reach Psalm 34.
- 1:23We are moving on, Baruch Hashem, this psalm is a, Psalm of David that connected with our daily life.
- 1:32It will be a very practical psalm, With some, points that we can review and ex- expand and comment.
- 1:44So this psalm start with L'David bashonoto etamo, means by David, when he feigned ma- madness before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left.
- 1:58So what happened here is that he, the name Abimelech is connected with the Philistines, meaning to say Pharaoh.
- 2:08Pharaoh, is the general name for all the kings of Egypt.
- 2:12Abimelech is the general name for the all the kings of Philistines.
- 2:19When he was fleeing from Shaul, of Abimelech, of the Philistine.
- 2:26And, a- and he enter into his palace.
- 2:31They wanted to kill him.
- 2:32So what he did, he was trapped there, and the solution that he found is to make himself to look like, a mad man.
- 2:43David pretended to be mad since madness are generally regarded as being harmless.
- 2:49So he started even to,, to make an idea that he had a scissor, and the trick succeeded in that David was not attacked, but they threw them out from the palace and out of the kingdom, and that was the way that he was safe.
- 3:09This, story can apply in a more spiritual way because when everything in the Torah is written with...
- 3:20and the no- the name king, we have to remember that a king is the king of the universe.
- 3:28Is giving us a hint of how we can behave With the King of the universe.
- 3:37So what, m- is, what that's mean is if, for example, we are in a situation in which we are, under danger.
- 3:49So we have to change our mind, the way that we are thinking.
- 3:55and that is what means here.
- 3:58The same way that David change his mind and look for another solution in order to find a, a, the, a, the way to go out from, from being trapped by that situation, this is what we learn here.
- 4:14So I end, he, David, is praising Hashem and thank him, Hashem, for saving him.
- 4:23"So I bless God at all times," he said.
- 4:27"In times of glory and redemption as well as sorrow and trouble." Because Hashem creates negativity and positivity.
- 4:39Hashem is the only one.
- 4:42So if we are receiving situation under distress, this situation is a challenge for us and is a teaching from Hashem.
- 4:54So circumstance, be they good or bad, will not interfere with the psalmist's continual blessing of God.
- 5:02So we have to bless Hashem in when for the good and also for the bad.
- 5:10In situation where we feel I am happy and is a clear really happiness in a, a wedding, a, something that make me feel, that content.
- 5:22And by the other side, when I feel also constricted, when I feel in distress, also I have to bless Hashem.
- 5:31The number third says,"My soul glories in God." what means praising God.
- 5:37If he dwells on his own problems, this is another approach.
- 5:42If you dwell in your own problems, he is liable to feel anguish and doubt.
- 5:48Correct?
- 5:49I feel doubt.
- 5:50I cannot sleep at night.
- 5:52But by thinking about God, he invar- he automatically have awareness of a, of the greatness and glory of Hashem.
- 6:06And that is a eternally present, and Hashem is eternally present.
- 6:11So when he feels that and he change the attitude of feeling the constrictedness, the despair And you divert that from anguish and doubt, and change your mind and instead of, thinking about negativity, you think about God greatness.
- 6:34When you think about that, that create- a change of mind, and this is what David is using, a change even in his attitude of like a mad man.
- 6:46So the humble will hear and rejoice.
- 6:50The arrogant who were the enemies of David will not rejoice hearing of his salvation.
- 6:57Means that we have to be humble.
- 7:00What is humble?
- 7:02There is two thing.
- 7:04When a person is psychology.
- 7:10when you depend in what others will think about you, and you are looking about the external result, and then you are enforcing your ego.
- 7:26But when you are humble and then you are not dependent of what others may say about you, you enforce your capacity, and that is what means to be humble.
- 7:41A arrogant is a person that suffer of ego, and he get upset, he may respond with anger towards others.
- 7:52But when you think about yourself, and you don't care about others, so you are independent, if I suffer because someone is thinking negatively about me, I am showing my ego.
- 8:09If I don't take care of that, and instead I turn my concern towards holiness, towards God, what is being a, a suffering turn to something that give me a, peace of mind, and I am not afraid.
- 8:31The only one that we have to fear is the fear of God.
- 8:36It is important that who I consider myself, who I am, strong.
- 8:41And this is the moral that shows David.
- 8:44Consequently, the psalmist calls on everyone to extol God.
- 8:49Declare the greatness of the Lord Let us extol his name together.
- 8:54And this is, David advice.
- 8:56He says in the fifth,"I sought the Lord and he answered me.
- 9:02He delivered me from all the things I dreaded." So if I look for Hashem instead of looking for me and seeing me like a victim, then I overcome the situation and I am safe.
- 9:21So six, those who look at him, means to Hashem, are not humiliated, and their faces will never be ashamed.
- 9:32The centrality of God's presence in their lives is a primary source of blessing and strength.
- 9:40So this is what the Kabbalist teaches us.
- 9:44Since the moment we wake up, we have to feel that we are in front of the master of the universe.
- 9:54When I feel that Hashem is in front of me, then there is no fear because I feel his presence.
- 10:02I feel his protection.
- 10:05In addition, the psalmist affirms that God listen to the humble and comes to their aid.
- 10:12And when they say, a poor cried out, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his trouble." Who is a poor man?
- 10:21Is a man that is humble.
- 10:23And the idea of humble mean no ego.
- 10:26And the way to remove the ego, that is something very difficult to do, is not simple.
- 10:34Is by turning our face and our mind, because the mind is the one that think, and analyze the situation.
- 10:46in reference to Hashem.
- 10:47So the God's salvation is not always noticed by its beneficiary.
- 10:53But the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him and rescue and protect them.
- 11:00So every mitzvah we perform generates an angel.
- 11:05So we have many angel that constantly protects us.
- 11:11What it is?
- 11:12An angel is energy.
- 11:14Is something that I create.
- 11:18We create angel.
- 11:20We create situations in our life.
- 11:23Nothing comes by mistake.
- 11:26Everything is created by us.
- 11:29When I feel the responsibility that everything that happen is because of the way that I behave, then I remove that fear from me, and I feel responsible, and I turn my face only to the master of the universe.
- 11:51"Taste and see that the Lord is good." The word that they use here as taste, means come from closeness to God.
- 12:00When you taste something, you discern if it is salty, if it is sweet, if it is bitter.
- 12:08At level of sensation that goes to our brain, spiritually means when I taste a situation that I have in life, I analyze that situation, then I understand clearly what is happening.
- 12:26The way to behave is by understanding.
- 12:32When not rewarded by material gain.
- 12:35So taste is the metaphor for intellectual discernment, just as one tastes food to see if it is bitter or sweet.
- 12:45Relationship with God can be approached in two ways.
- 12:49Through simple faith that we inherit from our ancestor, or through our own personal appreciation of him.
- 13:00We have two ways to connect with Hashem.
- 13:03So this verse teaches us to cultivate both.
- 13:07Taste means understanding God with the mind, making devotion genuine and personal, while see points to recognizing God's goodness through the simple faith passed down from our ancestors.
- 13:25So there is two ways one is, I accept.
- 13:29The other way is analyzing, recognizing that what is in reality behind everything So the 10 says, fear the Lord, his only ones, for those who fear him lack nothing." Hashem is the one that will protect and bless us.
- 13:49The 11 says,"Young lion may suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord will lack no good." Lion because we are compared like Israel is compare like lions.
- 14:03A lion symbolized by a unrefined soul which has not yet elevated the body it inhabits.
- 14:13Means we have two things.
- 14:15Our body that is rough, is our, wanting to move, to react, to go to war, to be a strong.
- 14:26But also there is lacking it feels hungry.
- 14:29But this is the hunger of the physical desires.
- 14:36It experiences a spiritual hunger, yearning for its true nourishment, the godly sparks hidden within the physical world.
- 14:45So we have hiding sparks that are holy, and this is part of our neshamah.
- 14:54We have two type of souls, and the Alter Rebbe teaches us in Chabad.
- 14:59That we have a, an animal soul, and a godly soul.
- 15:04So the animal soul looks for satisfaction of the physical body and is oriented only about materiality.
- 15:15But the godly soul is connected with God and is holy.
- 15:21And every one of us, have a spark of holiness inside us.
- 15:28So what we have to do is to elevate these holy spiritual sparks of holiness, of goodness, of kindness that are inside us to give, God wants to give.
- 15:43The, body wants to receive.
- 15:46So when we connect both of them and we channel the power and the strength of the body, of the animal soul, because the animal has a physical strength.
- 15:59I want to exercise.
- 16:01I want to increase the size or the power of my muscles.
- 16:06But at the same time, we have to train our spiritual muscles, those muscles that connect us with Hashem.
- 16:15Those who seek Hashem, those that seek the sparks of holiness inside, strive to reveal God's presence in the world, it's also to include other people to, ones closest to me, to influence there is another connection in the world same way that a network is the internet network I can connect to you even that we are not in the same physical space The same way our energy, when we express an energy of kindness, an energy of holiness, that energy doesn't stay in us only.
- 16:58It is spread everywhere.
- 17:01To the contrary, if a negative, kind of situation, or you are dominated with your yetzer hara, your, evil inclination, will influence everyone around you.
- 17:15We have to see, that the world was created for each of us, because what I see is a reflection of What I am thinking.
- 17:28We are a reflection.
- 17:30Everything that we see is a mirror of who we are.
- 17:35When we see something negative on others, that is something negative in us.
- 17:42And here, this in the 12 says,"Come children Listen to me.
- 17:48I will teach you to fear the Lord.
- 17:52So the following verses addresses to students or young people do not supply practical instruction for material success, but are intended to define the proper behavior of God-fearing people.
- 18:08So the 13 says,"Who is the man who desire life, See good." So who is that person?
- 18:15Is a person that guards himself, guards his tongue for no connecting with evil.
- 18:24It's very hard not to connect, not to judge something negative that we see on others.
- 18:31But instead to focus in negativity, let's focus in goodness.
- 18:37Let's focus in doing good things.
- 18:40It's the same idea that if you want to remove a negative trait the example of a diet.
- 18:48Instead of restrict myself of not eating something that is bad for me, let's eat something that is good So when I eat something that is good I eat a protein I eat something that is not toxic and doesn't have any processes food, automatically, I am going to decrease my inclination to eating wrong thing.
- 19:14The same way is here.
- 19:16If I want to remove negative trait that I have, we cannot be,, stuck in negativity and feel that I am bad or feeling that I cannot improve.
- 19:28No.
- 19:29Absolutely not.
- 19:30If I am learning a new way of using science or technology, I will not feel that I have an obstacle.
- 19:40To the contrary, I have to be open I have to move and continue feeding the good place, the good things that I have.
- 19:50The same idea, feed in a child their strength.
- 19:56And don't, signal, negative, the 14 say,"Guard your tongue for evil." So that is what it means.
- 20:04"And guard your lips from speaking any word of deceit." We have to guard our tongue and guard ourself not to become angry.
- 20:14And understanding that if I become angry, it's because of my ego, because I feel that I was not listened, they didn't do whatever I wanted they will do.
- 20:27"So turn away from evil," says the 15, say David HaMelech,"and do good." Exactly.
- 20:33"Seek peace and pursue it." So the Baal Shem Tov here says something very beautiful, he taught that one who sees fault in his fellow is himself guilty of that fault to some degree.
- 20:52The fact that he observes it in his fellow is a prompt from heaven to address that same flaw in himself.
- 21:03When you see something negativity, this is in regard to that everything is a mirror of ourself.
- 21:09You are seeing yourself.
- 21:11You are not seeing them.
- 21:13So when we understand that is a way that Hashem is telling us,"Okay, pay attention of that." Instead of to judge in a negative way, look at yourself because when we judge, we are judging, we are creating the energy of judgment, the energy of Din.
- 21:35And the energy of Din is very strong and severe, so we don't want to feel severity on us.
- 21:43We don't want to have a iron fist that will turn towards us.
- 21:49And instead of if you want to teach someone that is behaving not right way, express that with kindness and with love, never with negative words.
- 22:02Okay, so the 16 says,"The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to their cry." Hashem always is connected with us.
- 22:13Hashem sees us every second.
- 22:17Ev- Hashe- Hashem knows every one of our thought, even our thought we might change.
- 22:26So how we change our thought?
- 22:28By something very important: having control.
- 22:32Having control of my mind.
- 22:35Okay, I have a negative thought, I have to say,"Cancel," to myself.
- 22:40I...
- 22:41this is not the right way to f- to continue.
- 22:44So when I control that at the level of my mind, I will control when I want to exteriorize through my speech and through my physical actions.
- 22:58So that is very important, so we have to, start controlling from the mind in order that the physicality of our bodies, our speech, and our action will be controlled, too Okay.
- 23:11uh, 17, the face of the Lord, turns against the evil doers.
- 23:17So we have to think to say,"Okay, this is not my business to judge.
- 23:22Hashem is in charge.
- 23:24He will know if they deserve or if they don't deserve." He will show them also, because all of us, every human being is a son or a daughter of Hashem.
- 23:37And he loves all of us with our mistakes.
- 23:41Hashem loves us.
- 23:43So he will find, this is not my business.
- 23:45I am not...
- 23:46I ha- I cannot be the judge of other person.
- 23:50So the 18, they cry out and the Lord hears them, delivering them from their troubles.
- 23:57Okay, and the 19, the Lord is near to the people with broken heart and save those whose spirit is crushed.
- 24:07And here is the idea of to be humble again.
- 24:11Through our prayers, through our study of Torah, we have to humble ourself and turn to Hashem for his guidance.
- 24:23And the 20 says, many evils may afflict a righteous man.
- 24:29Okay, that is true.
- 24:30We can, even that we are righteous and we didn't do anything wrong, and we have problems, but this is like Hashem is sending that in a beneficiary way.
- 24:43It's for us, for our benefit.
- 24:45Not for, punish.
- 24:47Hashem doesn't want to punish us.
- 24:50We came to this world as Neshamot invested inside a body and clothed in a body to repair something that we didn't accomplish in previous life.
- 25:05That is the reason that we are here.
- 25:07And the challenges that we confront in life are challenges that are specifically for me.
- 25:17So what I am looking- is exactly what I need to repair.
- 25:22If we have that in our mind, then we can change our attitude, and instead of no sleeping at night because something happened to us, we have the Shema Yisrael Alamita in order to make a analyzing what is there, what is happening during the day, and how I can repair.
- 25:43So the, 21 say,"He preserves all his bones, and that not one of them will be broken." The word bones in Hebrew is etzem.
- 25:56And the word etzem means the essence of a person.
- 26:01So we have an essence, and that essence is never broken.
- 26:08So Hashem preserves us, preserves inner soul, this inner spark, this inner, fire that is a good fire, a fire of devotion for Hashem.
- 26:20This fire is the passion we have., There is two type of fires.
- 26:24You can have a fire that destroy and a fires that, warms you up when it's winter and it's very cold.
- 26:32That is the bones.
- 26:34And the bones also refers that Hashem give us, 248 positive commandment and 363 negative commandments.
- 26:46Law not to do.
- 26:48Yes do.
- 26:49So the positive is do it.
- 26:52What is an example?
- 26:53Do Shabbat.
- 26:54light the candles.
- 26:55Is a do of the 248.
- 26:57Negative, don't slander.
- 26:59Don't say, any evil t- tongue.
- 27:02Don't say words that are negative.
- 27:03And share your goodness with others.
- 27:06Have the courage to always stand, to Hashem.
- 27:10This psalm is recited during Shabbat, the morning prayer of Shabbat- and holidays.
- 27:17It expresses a devotion to God especially suited to days set apart from the weekday material concerns.
- 27:27During the sixth day of the week, we are concerned with many situation.
- 27:33We are fighting many problems of We need to solve many material problems that we may have.
- 27:41And we are absorbing the struggle of the livelihood, but in Shabbat is the day of rest.
- 27:48Is not only a day where we can sleep the whole day.
- 27:52It's a day rest for our conne- our mind, that we have time on Shabbat to connect completely with Hashem.
- 28:02So when we go to the synagogue, when we pray collectively with others, and all we are united and sharing our love and our connection, that is the moment that we have in order to nourish that holy spark that we have in us.
- 28:24So where we nourish that?
- 28:26We nourish in Shabbat.
- 28:28Shabbat is a moment of nourishment.
- 28:31What we have to do in life is to change our mindset and have this mindset David HaMelech is giving us, to turn from negativity and turn negativity into good and focus more in the good than in the negativity.
- 28:53Not to judge anybody And leave to Hashem his job, because this is the job of Hashem, not yours.
- 29:02So I don't have to do that.
- 29:05I have to only look at me.
- 29:07Remember that everything that we see in the world is a mirror of ourself.
- 29:12Every beauty that we see outside is the beauty that we have inside.
- 29:17Every negativity that we have is inside us.
- 29:21So when we understand that what we see is me, I am seeing myself, then I can understand and remove from there, and become and improve in my life, become better and better, and have this love for others.
- 29:39It.
- 29:40Thank you.
- 29:40I would like to hear, Elisabetta, if you want any comment.
- 29:44yeah, it's very insightful and, I love the, the, the closure because, it, it really wraps it all up when it says, Shabbat or...
- 29:54really we need to, change our mindset, transform ourself like in a way, like, like David did by faking, madness.
- 30:03It was a change, in his mindset.
- 30:04I think that's, to me at least the way I'm understanding, the essence of this Psalm.
- 30:09And so let the Yetzer Tov, you know, prevail over the Yetzer Hara because- As you said, we have this duality of animal soul and godly soul and the key is to let the yetzer hara tov prevail control the yetzer hara.
- 30:27You can't eliminate it, but you need to control it because they're both...
- 30:31You need both in life.
- 30:33Exactly.
- 30:33You can't live only with yetzer hara or only yetzer tov.
- 30:37You need both, but the key is controlling, right?
- 30:40I think that is like life mission to control think.
- 30:45Exactly.
- 30:45And, be the better than we can be.
- 30:47Yes, exactly, the, animal soul is what preserve our body.
- 30:52Is what preserve you, to take care of your health.
- 30:56So it's important.
- 30:58you need to exercise.
- 30:59You need to- Exactly yeah You need to exercise.
- 31:01It's important for you.
- 31:02But is, uh, also think of exercising your spiritual muscles, like I said.
- 31:08That's right.
- 31:08That's right.
- 31:09That's right.
- 31:09Very good.
- 31:10Thank you.
- 31:10Julie So I would say that Psalm 34 is really about changing your mindset.
- 31:17If you're really struggling with something, it's all about turning to the Psalm and really recognizing the example that King David, presented to us.
- 31:29So it's the idea of being able to be so clear in your mind to be able to analyze a situation, to be able, again, to go back to another Psalm, to pause in those moments, and to really be able to step into, how am I going to analyze this situation?
- 31:48Instead of getting so overwhelmed, because like I said the other day, which I've been really working- on is that, yeah, I have problems.
- 31:56But my problems, first of all, were created, I also know that Hashem is so much bigger than my problem, okay.
- 32:04So it's then taking that moment to pause, analyze with a healthy, clear mind how I'm going to resolve a situation.
- 32:15Exactly.
- 32:16Perfect.
- 32:17So that's what Psalm 34 is really all about.
- 32:20And it's really interesting, because if you look at a pattern that we're creating is that earlier on it was all about the pause, okay.
- 32:29And now we're moving into, okay, you can pause, but what about changing your mindset?
- 32:36So that's really powerful.
- 32:38Yeah, exactly.
- 32:39And again, I hear it all the time, but it was just so beautiful how you said again, there's only one judge.
- 32:46And it's not me.
- 32:48And who am I to judge?
- 32:49That's their journey, with Hashem.
- 32:52It's just to be kind, to be loving, be compassionate, and be there for someone.
- 32:57How can I offer my help in a situation?
- 33:01I heard a woman talking and she was saying, and I loved how she said it, she said,"How can I be helpful to you?" And it's like in that moment you're like, that person hears you,"How can I be helpful to you in, in this moment?" And so I thought that was really powerful That whole idea of changing your mindset and how David, King David, was so clear of how he was able to behave in order to be able to accomplish what he was attempting to accomplish.
- 33:31So I th- I think that's beautiful.
- 33:33That's- Very well said, Judy.
- 33:34Very well said.
- 33:35Excellent.
- 33:35So I just...
- 33:36If you could put a label on that, that sentence when it comes to- what is Psalm 34 about, and you're struggling, change your mindset.
- 33:46And it's so beautiful.
- 33:47It really is.
- 33:48Mm-hmm.
- 33:48It's absolutely beautiful.
- 33:49this psalm is good to use when you have, for example, an interview with someone that is, an interview for work, and, and you need to present yourself and whatever you know and your, a- and your skills in a job.
- 34:07So you say this psalm before the interview.
- 34:11Interesting and also another, uh, advice is to use this psalm when you are in a court in order to influence positively the judge on you.
- 34:21So that's like Psalm 5, when you talked about- Yes Psalm 5 in the court.
- 34:25Yes.
- 34:25Yes.
- 34:25Youn- Yeah, I'm just...
- 34:27Probably it's echoing to everybody, and, it reminds me, that judgment belongs to God.
- 34:33And our job is bring goodness and light by Torah study and mitzvot.
- 34:39There are situations, and an interaction with the people we may like, we may not like it.
- 34:43But,, it's all part of, Hashem's creations and His plan.
- 34:48He will be the judge.
- 34:49Hashem is just showing, and doing our job by being His lamp.
- 34:53So our job is to follow the commandments.
- 34:57That is our job.
- 34:58If you follow the commandments, you will be protected.
- 35:02They are not an imposition, the commandments are for our benefits, to protect us.
- 35:07Why we have to have Shabbat?
- 35:09Because this is the moment that I can reflect a little more.
- 35:13I don't have any stress of the da- my livelihood.
- 35:18In Shabbat, I have to forget everything.
- 35:20Shabbat, we don't talk about, work problems.
- 35:26Doesn't exist.
- 35:28N- there is no problems in Shabbat.
- 35:31Shabbat is the day of kindness, is the days of love, is the days of interconnection with the transcendental, with Hashem Agadol, Gibor veNora.
- 35:43So it's interesting that it's in this extreme way, but it has this very hidden meaning of the importance of simply changing your mindset.
- 35:54Excellent.
- 35:55Yes, it is.
- 35:56Natalie?
- 35:57There's so much.
- 35:58Basically, e- everything that everybody said.
- 36:01There's so much., I think that the importance that grabbed me is the importance of mindset.
- 36:06And we're seeing, it's, it, Judaism seems like that's almost a crux that, we're taught.
- 36:10And everything that we're taught is to have the mindset of positivity, to not be negative, to not be...
- 36:16i love the thought about there's no...
- 36:18We shouldn't be judgmental.
- 36:19that's Hashem's job.
- 36:21there's just, I, this Shabbat, the reflection, thinking of Shabbat as a day of reflection, not just a day of not working, but of what we, the, the peacefulness and positivity of Shabbat.
- 36:34When you enter Shabbat and light the candles It's a very special moment the We are lighting the light in our home, lighting love, lighting wisdom in everything that surrounds us.
- 36:52And we have to meditate that this is the light that comes from above, is the primordial light.
- 36:59It is the first light., The light that is hidden in Shamayim from the first day of creation, and that, light, brings warm, bring peace, bring healing to us.
- 37:13So that is the message when we light the candles.
- 37:17And, the custom is that the husband, before he say Kiddush, before he give the blessing of the wine, he must turn his face towards the candles light Because now he is making a junction between him and his wife, because they both, they are looking to the source of blessings.
- 37:43That is what they are bringing.
- 37:45And then when they pronounce the Kiddush, that is the holiness of the Shabbat, so that is the connection, and you have a completeness there between husband and wife.
- 37:57Remember that the Psalm, message is to change our mind constantly, and changing our mind in a positive way, turning from negativity and be in peace.
- 38:11So when we do that, we create a completeness in us.
- 38:16We create what it means shalom, Word to use in a meditation could be shalom, because that is the completion of changing our mind.
- 38:25The solution is completeness, is peace of mind.
- 38:29So I wish you a peace of mind, that you will have a wonderful week, a week filled of wonderful accomplishment your mind always will go towards Hashem,...
- 38:43See Hashem in front of you always.
- 38:46When you see Hashem in front of us always, we receive that peace, this shalom that I am mentioning.
- 38:53So thank you.
- 38:54No.
- 38:54Actually, it's inside of us, right?
- 38:56Exactly.
- 38:57We have, different levels, four levels in order to be connected with Hashem.
- 39:02A first level would be Hashem as completely external.
- 39:07Then there is level in, which Hashem is nourishing me.
- 39:11The maximum, the high level, is the level of Atzilut when I am like a flame.
- 39:19I am part of a flame Hashem.
- 39:22This light, I am one spark of that light.
- 39:25I am included inside the light.
- 39:28So- So when you say that, is it like when you're talking about, the 13 attributes of Hashem, for example?
- 39:35Is that more when we're...
- 39:37It's more God is within us?
- 39:41N- not necessarily.
- 39:42Not necessarily.
- 39:43Okay.
- 39:43The, the, the third attributes are only teaching us, that the, is, the attributes of God.
- 39:50Is the attribute of kindness, the attributes of mercy, the attributes of being- slow in anger, and- So that's, but how we're supposed to- okay.
- 40:00Exactly yeah.
- 40:00Correct.
- 40:00Okay But we must internalize those attributes in us.
- 40:07So that is the goal, to internalize.
- 40:09If we Internalize The kindness of Hashem inside me- that is something huge, correct?
- 40:16And no one can reach that level.
- 40:19That will be the goal.
- 40:19That's the goal, to look at those 13 attributes and say,"Am I behaving the way that God wants me to behave?" Exactly.
- 40:26Okay.
- 40:26And this is what you want as a parent.
- 40:29For us, mothers or fathers- when, our child n- doesn't behave, you overlook many things- because of your love.
- 40:37Exactly.
- 40:39Okay.
- 40:40Correct?
- 40:40Thank you so much.
- 40:40So I wish you, a wonderful week.
- 40:42Elul is a time of analyzing our acts for the year.
- 40:48So that will be the next class.
- 40:50Beautiful.
- 40:50Great.
- 40:50Thank you.
- 40:50Okay, everybody have a lovely week.
