- 0:15Speaker 2: Color and that guy would like a word review. Many
- 0:19Speaker 2: of you know him from the spots for Damas. Of course,
- 0:21Speaker 2: that Kevin Show is going to be great. The only
- 0:23Speaker 2: thing that.
- 0:24Speaker 5: Could be greater, of course, would be that Donald Show.
- 0:26Speaker 6: We don't have that.
- 0:26Speaker 7: So we have That Kevin.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Show featuring the music of Dick Tunny and the Dream in.

- 0:56Speaker 4: and good old regular life. It's McCullough Monday through Friday
- 1:02Speaker 4: on That Kevin Show and now from the Connors in
- 1:12Speaker 4: Sullivan Podcast Studios. A man who is not what he
- 1:15Speaker 4: wants to be.
- 1:17Speaker 2: That is way grateful, that is not who he used
- 1:20Speaker 2: to be.
- 1:21Speaker 8: Here, well, hello there and welcome in.
- 1:32Speaker 2: It's that Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot Com. It is
- 1:35Speaker 2: the Tuesday edition. Yes, there's another layer of wedding cake
- 1:39Speaker 2: snow on top of everything that had some underneath it
- 1:43Speaker 2: when it started falling a few days ago. But at
- 1:45Speaker 2: least on this Tuesday here in the Northeast, at least
- 1:50Speaker 2: in the Tri State area, we have we've had a
- 1:53Speaker 2: pause in the snow. Now they're saying there's more coming tomorrow.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I hope that is not the case, but I think
- 2:00Speaker 2: it will be. But nonetheless, I'm here with you because
- 2:04Speaker 2: I love being with you. And you know what, it
- 2:08Speaker 2: was so encouraging last week I was at the National
- 2:12Speaker 2: Religious Broadcasters in Nashville and ran into a lot of
- 2:15Speaker 2: people that operate radio stations and that are doing different things,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and so many people came up to me and said, Kevin,
- 2:22Speaker 2: congrats on the new show. Thank you for doing it
- 2:24Speaker 2: in our market. I'm like, I didn't even know that
- 2:27Speaker 2: they were putting it on in your market. Now six
- 2:30Speaker 2: hundred and ninety eight stations across the country that have
- 2:34Speaker 2: access to what we're doing here every single day, and
- 2:36Speaker 2: I could not be just more buttons popping off my
- 2:40Speaker 2: shirt pleased to be able to be with you than
- 2:44Speaker 2: I am every single day. And I take it with
- 2:46Speaker 2: a deep, deep gratitude to Phil Boyce, the Salem Media
- 2:50Speaker 2: Group Brad Parscale, Dave Sentrella, everybody that is working hard
- 2:55Speaker 2: to make sure that we are doing what we need
- 2:57Speaker 2: to be doing to affect this culture. It is a
- 3:01Speaker 2: we're involved in a massive cultural battle for ideas and
- 3:07Speaker 2: thoughts and words. And something that Brad Parscal said in
- 3:11Speaker 2: one of our meetings last week that was very profound,
- 3:14Speaker 2: and I guess I knew it on some level, but
- 3:16Speaker 2: I did not. I had not heard anybody articulate it.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And Brad, of course, if you don't know who Brad
- 3:22Speaker 2: Parscale is, he's the one who helped President Trump basically
- 3:25Speaker 2: win twenty sixteen through the digital campaign that he put together.
- 3:29Speaker 2: He optimized social media, he utilized data in ways that
- 3:33Speaker 2: nobody had and really got President Trump elected the first time.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But his focus now now that he's part of the
- 3:40Speaker 2: Sale Media group is to help us be strategic with
- 3:44Speaker 2: the message of truth, of faith, of public policy that
- 3:49Speaker 2: is good for us in ways that we can most
- 3:53Speaker 2: affect the biggest number of people and really affect the
- 3:57Speaker 2: nation in a way that is positive and is based
- 4:00Speaker 2: on truth. Truth is the battlefield. And what I what
- 4:05Speaker 2: Brad meant by that when he brought it up, is
- 4:08Speaker 2: that with AI in particular, all the models that are
- 4:12Speaker 2: populating AI right now, and you've got Chat, GBT, and
- 4:16Speaker 2: you've got Grock, and you've got you know, Gemini, and
- 4:19Speaker 2: you've got all these different you've got all these different
- 4:22Speaker 2: examples of AI. They're pretty intelligent, they have pretty sophisticated processing.
- 4:30Speaker 2: It's it so anyway, that's that's how kind of confusing
- 4:35Speaker 2: the current models are. But Brad was telling us in
- 4:37Speaker 2: this meeting that the models that are out there are
- 4:40Speaker 2: being fed steadily with stuff that is not necessarily reliable,
- 4:47Speaker 2: not necessarily provable, and certainly not stuff that acknowledges eternal truth, God, scripture,
- 4:57Speaker 2: even basic science in some situation. And so right now,
- 5:02Speaker 2: the battle for AI is the battle for who will
- 5:05Speaker 2: populate the models, who will who will have the most
- 5:09Speaker 2: reliable information that the models will be able to use
- 5:12Speaker 2: in terms of how they serve it to people in
- 5:17Speaker 2: the inquiry the queries they get every day. And his
- 5:22Speaker 2: point was, if we don't, if we don't stake out ground,
- 5:27Speaker 2: if we don't throw down the flag and say we
- 5:30Speaker 2: are going to put truth into the mix, that it's
- 5:34Speaker 2: going to be. It's we're going to we're going to
- 5:37Speaker 2: be wishing that we had. And what I was so
- 5:40Speaker 2: encouraged by was that several of the big ministries there, David,
- 5:44Speaker 2: doctor David Jeremiah being one of them, is already actively
- 5:49Speaker 2: actively populating an AI model with all of doctor Jeremiah's content,
- 5:56Speaker 2: his study Bible, his notes, his sermons, everything that he's
- 5:59Speaker 2: done over the core his career, they are all they're
- 6:01Speaker 2: they're populating all of it into the AI ecosphere so
- 6:06Speaker 2: that the truth will be there. And at least if
- 6:10Speaker 2: you ask, you know, one of the models, well, what
- 6:13Speaker 2: would doctor David Jeremiah say, is the fill in the blank,
- 6:18Speaker 2: then it'll it'll give at least doctor Jeremiah's perspective on
- 6:21Speaker 2: it and be able to accurately report that it's it's
- 6:24Speaker 2: a it's a strange world that we are walking into.
- 6:28Speaker 2: And friends, I am so excited to get to be
- 6:30Speaker 2: able to be with you and to bring it to
- 6:31Speaker 2: you every day here at that Kevin Show, because we're
- 6:34Speaker 2: going to jump into all of it. Speaking of which,
- 6:38Speaker 2: on today's show, we've got a lot to get to.
- 6:41Speaker 2: We're going to talk about how we live. Mark Dorn's
- 6:44Speaker 2: gonna be back with us from Minneapolis a little bit
- 6:47Speaker 2: later on Uh, it is Tuesday. I do touch on
- 6:51Speaker 2: travel sometimes on Tuesdays. Linda Perilla will be here in
- 6:54Speaker 2: the second hour. Katie McFarland, who is one of my dear,
- 6:58Speaker 2: dear friends and who just had final fusion surgery last week.
- 7:01Speaker 2: And if that sounds painful, I believe it was, but
- 7:05Speaker 2: she is. She is back and ready to go where
- 7:08Speaker 2: the President's doing the State of the Union tonight, and
- 7:11Speaker 2: we need to have an understanding of what's going to
- 7:13Speaker 2: happen there. I've got some thoughts on that we're going
- 7:15Speaker 2: to be sharing with you too, But to kat McFarlane
- 7:18Speaker 2: will be here with us. I'm going to ask her
- 7:20Speaker 2: what does he say about where foreign policy stands one
- 7:23Speaker 2: year in to his second term? And then a little
- 7:27Speaker 2: bit later on a very special treat for America two fifty.
- 7:30Speaker 2: If you're a family that likes to travel, if you're
- 7:33Speaker 2: a family that likes to go places and see things,
- 7:36Speaker 2: and especially historical points of view and points of interest,
- 7:42Speaker 2: the Heritage Foundation has something that I talked about before
- 7:46Speaker 2: this show went national, but now that we are in
- 7:49Speaker 2: nearly seven hundred cities a day, I want you to
- 7:52Speaker 2: hear from Brenda Hafera from the Heritage Foundation because their
- 7:55Speaker 2: little project of what I'm you're just gonna have to
- 8:00Speaker 2: listen to it, but it's going to help you understand
- 8:02Speaker 2: history when you are standing where the history was made,
- 8:07Speaker 2: much more accurately and much better than you ever have before.
- 8:10Speaker 2: So that's all on the docket for what's coming up
- 8:14Speaker 2: here in the next little bit, and of course tonight
- 8:17Speaker 2: will be the State of the Union. Tomorrow, I'm going
- 8:19Speaker 2: to have a very special guest who is going to
- 8:22Speaker 2: break down what President Trump talks about from a unique
- 8:26Speaker 2: perspective that we in the Salem universe call eyes over.
- 8:31Speaker 2: It's a broad scale perspective of what social media and
- 8:35Speaker 2: algorithms are saying about the speech, and it's going to
- 8:39Speaker 2: be really eye opening. So I hope that you'll join
- 8:41Speaker 2: us for that and make sure that you're here for that.
- 8:45Speaker 2: And coming up next hour, right at the beginning of
- 8:47Speaker 2: hour two, I'm going to delve into a really heinous
- 8:51Speaker 2: hit piece that the Associated Press put out today on
- 8:54Speaker 2: President Trump's State of the Union and just how terrible
- 8:58Speaker 2: they believe it would be and us how important it
- 9:01Speaker 2: is for us to tell the truth about it. I
- 9:03Speaker 2: have debunked it, by the way point, by point in
- 9:07Speaker 2: my town Hall column today, and if you get that
- 9:10Speaker 2: Kevin Show newsletter, it will be published there. You will
- 9:13Speaker 2: see it, you will come into your inbox. You'll be
- 9:15Speaker 2: able to get it free of charge. You can subscribe
- 9:18Speaker 2: to that by the way, at that Kevinshow dot com.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Just go to the promotions tab and sign up for
- 9:22Speaker 2: the newsletters. But yeah, my new piece out today at
- 9:25Speaker 2: town hall dot com, Ripping Limb from Limb, the heinous
- 9:29Speaker 2: assessment of the Associated Press and what they predict The
- 9:32Speaker 2: President's State of the Union speech will be coming up next.
- 9:35Speaker 2: We ask the most important question of the entire day,
- 9:38Speaker 2: how do we live?
- 10:00Speaker 9: Diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety meds. Everyone's on them. If

- 14:37Speaker 2: comes in. You click the link. Boom, you're there. But
- 14:40Speaker 2: glad to have you with us. This part of the
- 14:42Speaker 2: show every day before we get started on all the
- 14:44Speaker 2: other stuff. And there's a lot today, We've got a
- 14:47Speaker 2: State of the Union this week. We've got a whole
- 14:48Speaker 2: bunch of stuff to break down. But I always want
- 14:51Speaker 2: to focus our thoughts first on how we live, because
- 14:55Speaker 2: if we don't set for ourselves the bar of what
- 15:00Speaker 2: we anticipate, what we commit ourselves to, what we should
- 15:03Speaker 2: be doing, then the rest of the news and stuff
- 15:06Speaker 2: doesn't matter. It's an issue of whether or not we
- 15:10Speaker 2: are being and doing what He calls us to do,
- 15:12Speaker 2: and we are called to do that in a culture
- 15:15Speaker 2: that hates God looks upon his word. Actually, they're probably
- 15:20Speaker 2: okay if you just talk about generic God, small g
- 15:24Speaker 2: there's all kinds of gurus and so forth. They'll say, yes,
- 15:27Speaker 2: it's okay to go find a God and to be
- 15:30Speaker 2: at one with God and all the rest of It's
- 15:32Speaker 2: the God of the Bible that they have a problem with,
- 15:34Speaker 2: the one that says, this is what you do to
- 15:39Speaker 2: maximize your experience as a created being of the one
- 15:43Speaker 2: who made you, The one who says I sent my
- 15:45Speaker 2: son to die for you, the one who says you
- 15:47Speaker 2: can't save yourself, and the sin that you're in that's
- 15:50Speaker 2: the God they have problems with, and so they despise God,
- 15:54Speaker 2: they really dislike his word. And if we try to
- 15:56Speaker 2: live our lives according to those two things and they
- 16:00Speaker 2: look at us as though we have some sort of problem, well,
- 16:02Speaker 2: how do we live in the midst of that? That's
- 16:04Speaker 2: what we try to ask in this section every single day.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And I'm grateful to have back with this Pastor Mark
- 16:10Speaker 2: Dorn a vertical life church from Minneapolis, and Mark spent
- 16:14Speaker 2: some extra time with us yesterday. Mark. It's great to
- 16:17Speaker 2: see what you're doing and why the church there is
- 16:20Speaker 2: playing a role in the current events and so forth.
- 16:22Speaker 2: But we started talking about a couple of big ideas yesterday,
- 16:27Speaker 2: and these ideas are ones that we can apply in
- 16:31Speaker 2: so many different ways to our lives every week. And
- 16:36Speaker 2: I guess, you know, as I was thinking about it,
- 16:39Speaker 2: there's there's a lot of I don't know, kind of
- 16:42Speaker 2: I don't know how you even word it, but there's
- 16:45Speaker 2: there's this mindset in believers that if the coffee isn't
- 16:50Speaker 2: just right, if if the chairs aren't quite comfortable enough,
- 16:55Speaker 2: if they don't do the newest, you know song from
- 17:00Speaker 2: Fill in the Blank Worship band, I don't you know
- 17:04Speaker 2: then then I'm not going to be happy about church today.
- 17:07Speaker 2: And we don't really seem to think that we go
- 17:12Speaker 2: to church to be convicted or in some ways instructed
- 17:22Speaker 2: or convicted by the Holy Spirit, or or made to
- 17:25Speaker 2: understand and be reflective about our actions or our lives.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Maybe we do on Communion week, maybe there's a little
- 17:31Speaker 2: more reflection there. But how do you deal with the
- 17:35Speaker 2: consumerism that the modern Christian believer has kind of come
- 17:41Speaker 2: to expect in what we have here?
- 17:43Speaker 15: Yeah? Great, great question. And you know, I think we
- 17:50Speaker 15: got to get back to the word right. We got
- 17:51Speaker 15: to get right back to the Bible. And one of
- 17:53Speaker 15: the things we emphasize at our church, Vertical Life Church
- 17:56Speaker 15: in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, is is that every believer should
- 18:01Speaker 15: be right in a daily one year Bible reading program
- 18:04Speaker 15: right where we really get to know the Word on
- 18:08Speaker 15: a personal level, from Genesis to Revelation every year. And
- 18:14Speaker 15: because you know, that's what we're accountable for, right, Jesus
- 18:17Speaker 15: said in the Great Commission, you know, before he left earth,
- 18:20Speaker 15: he said, all authority and heaven on earth has been
- 18:22Speaker 15: given to me. He said, go make disciples of all nations.
- 18:26Speaker 15: Baptizing them the name of the Father, Son and Holy
- 18:28Speaker 15: Spirit and teaching them to obey all I've commanded.
- 18:31Speaker 2: You.
- 18:32Speaker 15: Well, if we're the ones that are going to make
- 18:34Speaker 15: the disciples, come on somebody, and we're going to be
- 18:37Speaker 15: teaching the new breed of disciples, you know, people that
- 18:41Speaker 15: are coming into the church. You know all that Jesus
- 18:45Speaker 15: has commanded. That means we got to know the Word.
- 18:48Speaker 15: And so there's kind of a revival and renewal as
- 18:51Speaker 15: just just regular everyday believers. We have got to hear
- 18:57Speaker 15: the call of God to come back to a love
- 19:01Speaker 15: relationship with his word. Now, when you're saved, he gives
- 19:04Speaker 15: us those desires. I know when I got saved, I
- 19:06Speaker 15: had a hunger for his word, and you know, things
- 19:09Speaker 15: of the Word were all brand new to me. So
- 19:11Speaker 15: we got to learn the milk of the word as
- 19:13Speaker 15: well as the meat of the word. You know, And
- 19:15Speaker 15: that's probably another topic, but the bottom line is is
- 19:19Speaker 15: that it comes back to the Word, and the Word
- 19:22Speaker 15: doesn't show us a consumerist a Christian. Right we read
- 19:25Speaker 15: the Word and the Christians, especially in the New Testament,
- 19:30Speaker 15: you know, when we see the birth of the Church
- 19:32Speaker 15: and we see you know, regular believers being filled with
- 19:35Speaker 15: the Holy Spirit. These were not consumerists to Christians that
- 19:38Speaker 15: we're looking for what can the church can do for me?
- 19:41Speaker 15: These were Christians that were full of the Holy Spirit,
- 19:44Speaker 15: you know, that were going out and changing the world.
- 19:47Speaker 15: So the Bible shows us a different type of Christian
- 19:50Speaker 15: than the modern Christian and we got to get back
- 19:53Speaker 15: to that.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I don't know of a more important aspect of church.
- 19:58Speaker 2: And there's been so many mo there's been so many
- 20:01Speaker 2: different ways of thinking about church and doing church. I
- 20:04Speaker 2: was reminded not long ago of a pastor here in
- 20:07Speaker 2: the New York area who when they started a church
- 20:09Speaker 2: planned he and his partner in the work. They had
- 20:14Speaker 2: kind of been doing a young adult's church, and they
- 20:18Speaker 2: started this congregation off of the body of a larger church,
- 20:22Speaker 2: and it was just targeted to people that were wanting
- 20:26Speaker 2: to know the Word and be discipled and to grow.
- 20:30Speaker 2: But they wanted to kind of have a more vibrant,
- 20:33Speaker 2: maybe more youthful type of experience, and so they worked
- 20:36Speaker 2: on it for a few years. The partner left and
- 20:38Speaker 2: got a senior pastor at Call to somewhere else, and
- 20:41Speaker 2: my friend was left with kind of what was left.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And he was also the youth pastor of the main congregation,
- 20:48Speaker 2: and he said he promptly grew it from like three
- 20:50Speaker 2: hundred people down to seventy five. And he said, he said,
- 20:55Speaker 2: I just had this nightmare that one night I was
- 20:57Speaker 2: going to be preaching and it was just gonna be
- 20:59Speaker 2: my parents sitting on the front row. And so he
- 21:01Speaker 2: went and he had a conversation with God. He was like, Lord,
- 21:03Speaker 2: what do you want me to do? Do you want
- 21:06Speaker 2: me to be full time youth ministry? Do you want
- 21:08Speaker 2: me to guide this church? What do I do? And
- 21:10Speaker 2: the Lord impressed upon him just a couple of things.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Sing worship songs first of all that are two and
- 21:16Speaker 2: about Jesus. None of this sloppy, wet kiss stuff, none
- 21:19Speaker 2: of this you know, God is my super friend or
- 21:21Speaker 2: anything like that. But just songs too and about Jesus. Secondly,
- 21:26Speaker 2: verse by verse exposition, and in that no apologies for
- 21:30Speaker 2: what scripture says. What it says is what God wants
- 21:33Speaker 2: us to understand. And then third, make disciples, that make disciples,
- 21:36Speaker 2: that make disciples. Now God has blessed that pastor. He
- 21:40Speaker 2: has one of the fastest growing churches in the region.
- 21:44Speaker 2: There are other churches that offer a lot of other
- 21:46Speaker 2: great programs, and they've got this program in that program,
- 21:49Speaker 2: a lot of other programs. But when you talk to
- 21:52Speaker 2: churches today and you look up curriculums, there's all these
- 21:55Speaker 2: things about church growth programs. The church growth program is
- 21:58Speaker 2: reading the Bible, evangelizing and discipling. Is it that the
- 22:02Speaker 2: church growth program for twenty twenty six?
- 22:05Speaker 16: Amen?
- 22:05Speaker 1: Amen?
- 22:07Speaker 15: Yeah? I think I think that we've got to sober
- 22:11Speaker 15: up a little bit and be brutally honest about what
- 22:15Speaker 15: it means to be a real disciple and what it
- 22:18Speaker 15: means to be a real church. Right. And I'm not
- 22:21Speaker 15: responsible for modern Christianity, right. I'm responsible for what God shows,
- 22:27Speaker 15: as you know, the foundation and the development of his church,
- 22:31Speaker 15: and how I'm called the steward that as a pastor
- 22:34Speaker 15: from the Bible right, and you know, and Jesus had
- 22:38Speaker 15: a growing church too, thousands were following him. In John
- 22:41Speaker 15: chapter six and verse sixty six, he preached such a
- 22:45Speaker 15: hard word that that so many of the Jewish hearers
- 22:51Speaker 15: at that point we're just not able to digest. And
- 22:54Speaker 15: it says many of them, if not all of them left.
- 22:58Speaker 15: And he looked at the ipley said, he said, are
- 23:01Speaker 15: you going to leave two, and Peter spoke up and said,
- 23:03Speaker 15: you know, you have the words of eternal life.
- 23:05Speaker 2: We know that you are the one of God.
- 23:07Speaker 15: And so the church in his situation at that moment
- 23:11Speaker 15: decreased significantly. But he knew that those that would stick
- 23:16Speaker 15: around and receive the fullness of His true word, they
- 23:21Speaker 15: would bear great fruit once they got full of the
- 23:25Speaker 15: Holy Spirit and they got refined through through disciples, you know,
- 23:29Speaker 15: the discipleship of going through the Cross and all of that,
- 23:32Speaker 15: and even their own personal failures, and so, you know,
- 23:36Speaker 15: I think we've got to sober up a little bit.
- 23:38Speaker 15: You know, I'm talking about people as pastors, evangelists, the
- 23:41Speaker 15: Fivefold ministry, and then even people that are growing as
- 23:45Speaker 15: Christians in this hour to say, what is a real
- 23:49Speaker 15: Christian and what is God's plan? What is his what
- 23:53Speaker 15: is his blueprint through the Word of God on how.
- 23:56Speaker 2: To build a church?
- 23:57Speaker 15: Because the Word says, you know, those who build with
- 23:59Speaker 15: wood and stubble will be shown for what it is.
- 24:02Speaker 2: But those who build.
- 24:03Speaker 15: Right with gold and silver, and in other words, we
- 24:08Speaker 15: preach the real word of God, and we do the
- 24:11Speaker 15: Bible straight up, face up, it will bear fruit. And
- 24:16Speaker 15: people that receive that word, they will bear great fruit
- 24:20Speaker 15: and will have great disciples. So we just got to
- 24:22Speaker 15: trust God's we are doing it.
- 24:24Speaker 2: I have a wonderful place to come to a pause today,
- 24:27Speaker 2: Pastor Mark Dorn Vertical Life Church, Vericallife dot org. If
- 24:31Speaker 2: you're in the Minneapolis area, we will tell you how
- 24:33Speaker 2: you can worship with Mark's body this weekend on tomorrow's visit.
- 24:38Speaker 2: But thank you for your thoughts and your time for
- 24:40Speaker 2: us this week. We're so grateful, Amen, so grateful to you.
- 24:43Speaker 15: Kevin.

- 25:07Speaker 17: House says you can expect the President to recap his
- 25:10Speaker 17: successes from the past year the first year of his
- 25:13Speaker 17: second term in office, especially when it comes to the
- 25:16Speaker 17: economy and the other main focuses the president has had.
- 25:19Speaker 17: He will also anticipate the future, and the White House
- 25:22Speaker 17: Press Secretary of Caroline Levitt says the President will also
- 25:25Speaker 17: be making a strong case that Republicans should hold on
- 25:29Speaker 17: to their majorities in Congress if they want to accomplish
- 25:31Speaker 17: the President's agenda, and I'll do a lot better than
- 25:35Speaker 17: Democrats that regard. The President has a chance to make
- 25:38Speaker 17: a case for his foreign policy efforts as well, and
- 25:41Speaker 17: there are a lot of uneasy feelings among many Americans
- 25:45Speaker 17: at this time. However, the President says that he is
- 25:49Speaker 17: brokering a fragile ceasefire deal in Gaza and that his
- 25:52Speaker 17: Board of Peace will transform that region.

- 28:11Speaker 1: Here he is from New York.
- 28:17Speaker 19: Her name is Shavelin or Alice. She's twelve years old.
- 28:24Speaker 19: She was fetching water to drink. I treat the water
- 28:34Speaker 19: to drink it. She treats it with aquatap. But they
- 28:36Speaker 19: don't find the aquatap tablet all the time. Sometimes they
- 28:40Speaker 19: drink it like that, or they try to find a
- 28:42Speaker 19: little chlorine to put in it.
- 28:51Speaker 20: It tastes like mud.
- 28:52Speaker 19: Sometimes I can even feel the germs inside of it.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Sometimes it gives me stomach.
- 29:00Speaker 2: That is the story of a little girl named Chauvelin.
- 29:03Speaker 2: And she is from a country that I care a
- 29:06Speaker 2: great deal about Kevin McCullough. Glad to be with you
- 29:09Speaker 2: because I have an adopted son from the country of
- 29:12Speaker 2: Haiti and I've been there many times. Paul Jacob is
- 29:15Speaker 2: back with us from Food for the Poor and Paul,
- 29:18Speaker 2: there's few places in human existence that have been more
- 29:22Speaker 2: worse offt than Haiti on good years. And Paul, you
- 29:27Speaker 2: were with me on one of these adventures, because one
- 29:31Speaker 2: of the years that we were there but for the
- 29:33Speaker 2: Poor brought us down put us in had to be
- 29:37Speaker 2: one of the nicest hotels in the country. I mean,
- 29:40Speaker 2: it was probably the equivalent of like a you know,
- 29:42Speaker 2: Super eight or Motel six or something in the US,
- 29:45Speaker 2: but by Haitian standards, it it was the It was
- 29:49Speaker 2: the it was the palace. But we got in the
- 29:52Speaker 2: van and we drove out of I think it was
- 29:55Speaker 2: porta Prince, and we drove for quite a while. It
- 29:57Speaker 2: was a couple of hours. We got kind of what
- 29:59Speaker 2: I thought was the end of the earth. And when
- 30:03Speaker 2: we got there, we're like, are we close? Like nope.
- 30:06Speaker 2: So we got out and we walked for another at
- 30:08Speaker 2: least couple of miles, and as we were going back
- 30:10Speaker 2: into this area where there had been some sugarcane industry
- 30:14Speaker 2: and some other things going on in previous years because
- 30:17Speaker 2: of the drought, because of the lack of rain, because
- 30:19Speaker 2: of some of the cataclysmic weather things that had gone on.
- 30:24Speaker 2: It just had wiped out the entire probability for that
- 30:29Speaker 2: community to support itself in the sugar cane industry anymore.
- 30:35Speaker 2: And we go back and back and back and back,
- 30:37Speaker 2: and then out of the blue, kind of behind a
- 30:39Speaker 2: couple of trees, back back in the wherever, there was
- 30:43Speaker 2: this little church. And this looked like a little cinderblock structure,
- 30:47Speaker 2: maybe six or eight rows of little benches made out
- 30:52Speaker 2: of pieces of wood that trunks of trees or whatever
- 30:56Speaker 2: that kids were sitting on and they were trying to
- 30:59Speaker 2: learn from a teacher who was the local pastor, Pastor Joseph.
- 31:03Speaker 2: And it was one of those things where you just
- 31:05Speaker 2: couldn't you couldn't really grasp but what you were looking at,
- 31:08Speaker 2: like how bad the situation was. I mean, these kids
- 31:12Speaker 2: probably didn't have many changes of clothes other than what
- 31:15Speaker 2: they were wearing. They all smelled of, you know, all
- 31:20Speaker 2: kinds of things because they don't have clean water to
- 31:22Speaker 2: bathe in. The only water supply that they had was
- 31:25Speaker 2: this little putrid pond. I mean it was like a
- 31:28Speaker 2: mud puddle, but it was. It was this gross place
- 31:31Speaker 2: where this dog was doing its business at one minute,
- 31:34Speaker 2: and then a kid was coming over trying to get
- 31:35Speaker 2: a drink out of it at the other and I
- 31:37Speaker 2: just I got physically ill because of how bad the
- 31:40Speaker 2: situation was. And we listened to Pastor Joseph, and he
- 31:44Speaker 2: began crying because he had been praying that food for
- 31:46Speaker 2: the poor would come to his community for the longest
- 31:49Speaker 2: amount of time. And as he's relaying to us his
- 31:53Speaker 2: attempt to have this school, now I think about how
- 31:56Speaker 2: just depressing this whole situation is. And here's Pastor Joseph
- 31:59Speaker 2: trying to teach how to read and doing his best
- 32:02Speaker 2: at being able to do what he could do with
- 32:04Speaker 2: what he had. But he walked us into town. We
- 32:07Speaker 2: saw kind of the dismay of this really depressed town,
- 32:10Speaker 2: not any reason for hope. The sugar cane industry wasn't
- 32:14Speaker 2: coming back, and they needed clean drinking water, they needed
- 32:17Speaker 2: food for the kids. And I came back and I
- 32:20Speaker 2: told my audience in New York, so we have to
- 32:22Speaker 2: do something about this. And so that year we raised
- 32:25Speaker 2: all the money that we could for the children of Kadua,
- 32:28Speaker 2: which was the name of the town. And as we
- 32:32Speaker 2: were able to get that lined up and sent in
- 32:35Speaker 2: and over the next year, things began to happen and
- 32:38Speaker 2: began to change. And the next year, I think this
- 32:41Speaker 2: was the year you were with me, we went back
- 32:43Speaker 2: to that town and Phil Boyce was with me, and
- 32:45Speaker 2: he was there and he saw it for the first time,
- 32:48Speaker 2: and we could not believe that these were the same kids.
- 32:50Speaker 2: I mean, the difference in their expressions and their energy levels.
- 32:54Speaker 2: But what had happened. They were getting food, they were
- 32:58Speaker 2: getting clean drinking water. They had a brand new sand
- 33:01Speaker 2: filtered filtration system that gets ninety nine percent of the
- 33:04Speaker 2: stuff out of the water. And these kids could not
- 33:07Speaker 2: have been happier. But the amount of hope that it
- 33:09Speaker 2: brought to the town, the whole town looked different. It
- 33:13Speaker 2: was like a different place. And it wasn't because they
- 33:16Speaker 2: had had some sort of dramatic income, you know, benefit
- 33:20Speaker 2: blow their way. They were still trying to eke out
- 33:22Speaker 2: gardens and do what they needed to do to survive.
- 33:25Speaker 2: But because their children had been fed, what a difference
- 33:28Speaker 2: it made. And that just cemented in my head in
- 33:30Speaker 2: the poorest place, in the poorest country in our hemisphere,
- 33:35Speaker 2: and maybe on Earth. The gifts of my listeners changed lives.
- 33:40Speaker 2: A lot of those kids came to know Jesus. A
- 33:42Speaker 2: lot of those kids went on to be able to
- 33:44Speaker 2: go to school. And it's been a lot of years now,
- 33:47Speaker 2: but that will be something I will never forget because
- 33:49Speaker 2: it was tangible help that people listening to the radio
- 33:53Speaker 2: were able to affect.
- 33:55Speaker 21: You know, you're getting a glimpse into how Food for
- 33:57Speaker 21: the Poor works because that community was hid for thirty years,
- 34:01Speaker 21: and so you get a picture and a glimpse of
- 34:03Speaker 21: how Food for the Poor works. Our field officers are
- 34:06Speaker 21: in the communities constantly. Our pastors are coming to our
- 34:09Speaker 21: offices telling us we have a community, we have a need.
- 34:12Speaker 21: There are children, there are families, there are prayers asking
- 34:16Speaker 21: for help. And it's those moments when we go to Kadua,
- 34:21Speaker 21: those moments when we go to Villanueva, which is in Honduras.
- 34:24Speaker 21: And I'm reminded of Galatians chapter two, verse ten, when
- 34:28Speaker 21: Paul the Apostle, at the beginning of his ministry in Galicia,
- 34:31Speaker 21: he said, all they asked of me was that we
- 34:33Speaker 21: remember the poor.
- 34:35Speaker 2: The very thing I was eager to do all along.
- 34:38Speaker 21: All we're asking you right now is to tangibly, compassionately
- 34:42Speaker 21: and immediately remember the poor by giving your best gift,
- 34:46Speaker 21: because these families need you right now.

- 39:33Speaker 2: and Linda's trip to Italy and look at where we're
- 39:36Speaker 2: going and come and go with us. This is going
- 39:38Speaker 2: to be a beautiful, beautiful trip. We're going to Rome,
- 39:41Speaker 2: We're going to the Amalfi coast. But we are not
- 39:44Speaker 2: going to the lover's arch in Soilento on the coast
- 39:48Speaker 2: of Celeno. Why aren't we going to the lover's arch.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Linda, because there is no lover's far.
- 39:53Speaker 15: Sure for.
- 39:56Speaker 11: What happened, there's nothing so this lover's arch, the Faraglioni,
- 40:04Speaker 11: which are we have Fergaloni in all different parts of Italy, like.
- 40:10Speaker 2: The most famous one popery.
- 40:12Speaker 11: Popery Naples, Sorrento area.
- 40:14Speaker 2: We'll see it if you come on our trip, we're
- 40:16Speaker 2: gonna go right past it.
- 40:17Speaker 11: They're like big stones, like think of Stonehenge in the water.
- 40:21Speaker 2: That's what funnle You can go through them or under them.
- 40:24Speaker 11: So this is the far di San Andrea, which is
- 40:27Speaker 11: in Pula, which is in the south of Italy in
- 40:30Speaker 11: the Heel region, and it's it's a beautiful picture. I mean,
- 40:33Speaker 11: I didn't even know this thing existed, but we're looking
- 40:35Speaker 11: at it. It's a naturally formed arch in the water.
- 40:40Speaker 11: And if you look at the pictures, because southern Italy
- 40:42Speaker 11: is just so incredibly gorgeous, it has become the lover's arch.
- 40:48Speaker 11: So you go under there with your lover and you
- 40:52Speaker 11: get proposed to and and all different kinds of things.
- 40:55Speaker 11: But they had a huge storm and it's.
- 40:59Speaker 18: No more.
- 41:02Speaker 11: From the pressure. I mean it is, you know, centuries
- 41:05Speaker 11: centuries old, so it was probably due to collapse at
- 41:08Speaker 11: some point. But now it is a as they said.
- 41:11Speaker 2: But you know the thing about this now, what's amazing
- 41:16Speaker 2: in the picture of this one and in our pictures
- 41:19Speaker 2: from the trip that we took last year, the water
- 41:23Speaker 2: around southern Italy, it is the deepest blue, it is
- 41:26Speaker 2: the clearest clear, it is the most beautiful ocean area
- 41:31Speaker 2: I think I've ever seen. I've been to different parts
- 41:33Speaker 2: of the world, I've seen different sections of the oceans.
- 41:37Speaker 2: There's something unique about the water experience of southern Italy,
- 41:42Speaker 2: and I don't know how to describe it other than that, yeah,
- 41:45Speaker 2: I mean, you.
- 41:45Speaker 11: Just it's unimaginable. And I think anybody, especially that has
- 41:49Speaker 11: been down to the coppery area and done like the
- 41:52Speaker 11: Blue Grotto, can really say. You just it's indescribable, is
- 41:57Speaker 11: what it is. I mean, you could tell somebody all
- 42:00Speaker 11: day long what it was like, but until you experience
- 42:03Speaker 11: it and see it, there is nothing like it. Now,
- 42:07Speaker 11: this is the poor mayor of the town of Salento.
- 42:13Speaker 11: I think, Maurizio Cisternino. I'm sorry you're not mayor for
- 42:18Speaker 11: you to say he's from the town of Malanduno, near
- 42:23Speaker 11: the fallen arch said, it's a blow to the heart.
- 42:26Speaker 11: So this must have been there, pull right, this must
- 42:30Speaker 11: have been there.
- 42:33Speaker 2: It's like the one in Caprio, but it was for
- 42:35Speaker 2: the people in the boot.
- 42:36Speaker 11: Right and people maybe people went there on their honeymoon
- 42:39Speaker 11: and you know, and they booked it just to go there,
- 42:41Speaker 11: and it drew tourism to these smaller towns, and so
- 42:47Speaker 11: now it's not there, but now people must go to
- 42:49Speaker 11: just see what it looks like.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Would there be any would there be any incentive for
- 42:54Speaker 2: the Italian state to repair it?
- 42:59Speaker 11: Of course there always is, Kevin. Anytime you ever hear
- 43:02Speaker 11: any of these stories, right, someone always comes out and says,
- 43:05Speaker 11: we will rebuild, and we'll rebuild.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I mean, this was a natural occurrence, that's the.
- 43:10Speaker 11: Thing, and it's all in the water. And but listen,
- 43:13Speaker 11: Italy is known for their craftsmanship, They're known for their masons.
- 43:17Speaker 11: They're known. I mean they have, you know, ancestors that
- 43:22Speaker 11: did this, you know, fifty five million years ago, and
- 43:27Speaker 11: it's in their blood, it's in their genetics.
- 43:29Speaker 2: The that's some awfully old ancestors.
- 43:31Speaker 11: I know, bro' you know me, you tell me insisted
- 43:34Speaker 11: before the world existed, according to me. Anyway.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Yeah, well, here's the thing. You can't see the Lover's arch,
- 43:40Speaker 2: but if you say that you would like to see
- 43:44Speaker 2: the arch that is the Farleone Dicapri. You can go
- 43:49Speaker 2: to Italy twenty twenty six dot info, which is the
- 43:52Speaker 2: page where Lynda and I are hosting our trip. You
- 43:56Speaker 2: can download an ebook that I put together of our
- 43:59Speaker 2: trip when my family went there, and you can see
- 44:01Speaker 2: the Farley one for yourself.
- 44:03Speaker 8: Now.
- 44:03Speaker 2: I've had staff members Linda tell me in recent days, hey,
- 44:07Speaker 2: I'm taking a look at that trip. I said, well,
- 44:09Speaker 2: you better, you better get your reservation in because we
- 44:12Speaker 2: got to get this thing packed out and then once
- 44:14Speaker 2: it's gone, it's gone. Thirty two seats is all we have.
- 44:18Speaker 2: You're going to have a blast. Linda and I are
- 44:20Speaker 2: going to be there. We're gonna have some other special guests.
- 44:22Speaker 2: We're going to tape a couple of shows while we're there.
- 44:24Speaker 2: We're gonna we're gonna have If you've never been with
- 44:27Speaker 2: Linda and I in public, you don't. You have no idea.
- 44:29Speaker 2: You think we're fun on the radio, you have no
- 44:31Speaker 2: idea how fun we are in real life. So I'm
- 44:33Speaker 2: telling you need to check this out. And the best
- 44:37Speaker 2: way to do so is to go to Italy twenty
- 44:40Speaker 2: twenty six dot info Italy twenty twenty six. Just spell
- 44:44Speaker 2: out the word Italy and the year twenty twenty six,
- 44:47Speaker 2: and the extension is dot I n FO and then
- 44:51Speaker 2: come and go with us, because we're going to have
- 44:53Speaker 2: a great time. It's going to be a beautiful trip,
- 44:56Speaker 2: and you will see those turquoise with those turquoise waters.
- 44:59Speaker 2: It is and I've heard my bride describe it to
- 45:01Speaker 2: people as she's been trying to tell them about it,
- 45:04Speaker 2: and you're right, it's indescribable. It's like you can't even
- 45:07Speaker 2: And hopefully when we're there the water for the Blue
- 45:10Speaker 2: Grotto will be a little bit calmer. But because when
- 45:13Speaker 2: we went, we weren't able to get in the Blue
- 45:14Speaker 2: Grotto because it's so shallow and if the water is
- 45:17Speaker 2: the least bit stormy, then it's a little too tight
- 45:19Speaker 2: of a fit. But our captain took us to another
- 45:22Speaker 2: spot where there's actually sunlight that reflects up into the
- 45:26Speaker 2: cave from underneath, and you actually see glowing water. It's
- 45:31Speaker 2: like I've.
- 45:32Speaker 11: Seen if you think that's the craziness of the Blue Grotto,
- 45:36Speaker 11: is glows exactly that.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Yeah, So we're going to do four days in Rome.
- 45:42Speaker 2: We're going to stay at one of the most gorgeous
- 45:43Speaker 2: hotels in Rome. And you know more about that hotel
- 45:46Speaker 2: than I do, Linda, because you guys actually ran it for.
- 45:49Speaker 7: A parent of time.
- 45:49Speaker 11: I love the Rose. It's my favorite hotel in room
- 45:52Speaker 11: and it's a boutique hotel. It is not hustle and bustle.
- 45:55Speaker 11: It's just the location. It's I mean steps away from
- 46:00Speaker 11: from Via v Nato, which is the fifth Avenue of Rome.
- 46:04Speaker 11: And really, you know, they always say all roads lead
- 46:07Speaker 11: to Rome. So if you get a conduit, I call

- 54:02Speaker 2: a trip, go somewhere fun, put it towards your trip
- 54:05Speaker 2: to go to Italy with us. That'll more than pay
- 54:08Speaker 2: for your down payment. So go and enter and then
- 54:12Speaker 2: enjoy and hopefully you'll join us for that. All right,
- 54:15Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough in Big Hour, I'm gonna the Associated Press
- 54:19Speaker 2: yesterday just wrote this hit piece on what they think
- 54:23Speaker 2: the President's going to say today. It's so idiotic, and
- 54:26Speaker 2: yet I feel like it needs to be rebutted point
- 54:28Speaker 2: by point, So I'm gonna do that right after the
- 54:30Speaker 2: top of the hour, hour two. That Kevin Show coming
- 54:33Speaker 2: up next, that Kevinshow dot Com and Hello Salem KSLR
- 54:38Speaker 2: in San Antonio, our station of the week. Thank you
- 54:40Speaker 2: for being there and thank you for having us with
- 54:43Speaker 2: you every single day wherever you go. Coming right back then,
- 54:48Speaker 2: it was pre recorded.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Somewhere in the bottles of the City that Never sleeps Kevin.
- 54:55Speaker 6: Mccallough radio host with Salem.
- 54:57Speaker 8: Media because a man also not sleeping's and the color
- 55:03Speaker 8: and that guy.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Would like a word with you. Many of you know
- 55:06Speaker 2: him from as votes for Damas.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 55:10Speaker 22: The only thing that.
- 55:11Speaker 5: Could be greater, of course, would be that Donald Show.
- 55:13Speaker 6: But we don't have that.
- 55:13Speaker 7: So we have That Kevin.
- 55:14Speaker 4: Show featuring the music of Dick Tunny and the Dream
- 55:19Speaker 4: in Color Orchestraw straight ahead, everything you need to know
- 55:32Speaker 4: about the top headlines of the day, and a perspective
- 55:36Speaker 4: that will give you some eternity to it, plus practical
- 55:40Speaker 4: tips for family life, spiritual life, and good old regular life.
- 55:46Speaker 4: It's Kevin McCollough Monday through Friday on That Heaven Show
- 55:57Speaker 4: and now from the Connors in Sullivan. Butchet studios, a
- 56:01Speaker 4: man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 56:04Speaker 4: is way grateful that is not who he used to be.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Here, all right, welcome back. It is that Kevin Show,
- 56:17Speaker 2: that kevinshow dot com. And as we work our way
- 56:20Speaker 2: towards the evening into the President's State of the Union
- 56:24Speaker 2: speech tonight, he's got a lot to talk about. And
- 56:28Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but I'm tired of what
- 56:32Speaker 2: the media is already doing. He hasn't even given the
- 56:34Speaker 2: speech yet, and this morning the Associated Press published a
- 56:39Speaker 2: nasty hit piece basically lying about every single thing that
- 56:44Speaker 2: the President is expected to discuss. And I didn't know
- 56:48Speaker 2: I was going to have to say this in advance
- 56:50Speaker 2: of the speech. News usually comes out of the speech itself,
- 56:52Speaker 2: and then we dissect and respond to it the day after.
- 56:56Speaker 2: But this garbage that the AP put out, I just
- 56:59Speaker 2: felt like it falls on me to correct it even
- 57:01Speaker 2: before the speech takes place. The AP article in question,
- 57:05Speaker 2: and I've got it linked at The article at townhall
- 57:08Speaker 2: dot com purports to preview the speech tonight by sketching
- 57:12Speaker 2: a caricature of the nation as transformed, of Congress as sidelined,
- 57:19Speaker 2: and of the administration as lawless and out of touch
- 57:23Speaker 2: and friends, I just think that is universally unfair. It's
- 57:26Speaker 2: not journalism. It's a political opinion column masquerading in the
- 57:31Speaker 2: news department. But it deserves a rebuttal. So let's go.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Let's start with the fundamental misrepresentation, the notion that America
- 57:39Speaker 2: has somehow been sidelined by Trump's policies and that Congress
- 57:43Speaker 2: has been left powerless. The framing of that whole issue
- 57:47Speaker 2: just ignores both constitutional reality and Trump's record. It is
- 57:51Speaker 2: true that Trump governs differently than his predecessors, but that's
- 57:55Speaker 2: because he sees the nation's interests as separate from the
- 57:58Speaker 2: interests of the establishment, and rather than bowing to career politicians,
- 58:02Speaker 2: he uses every tool the constitution and law provide him
- 58:07Speaker 2: to defend the American people and American sovereignty. Yeah, the
- 58:11Speaker 2: AP claims the nation is profoundly altered and suggests Trump
- 58:15Speaker 2: reshaped domestic and foreign policy via executive action. But that's
- 58:19Speaker 2: simply a neutral description boiled up to sound ominous. Presidents
- 58:23Speaker 2: always set agendas and always execute policy. That's the job.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Consider that Trump's sweeping reforms, from mass deportations to tax
- 58:32Speaker 2: cuts reflect the promises he made devoters. Remember when he
- 58:35Speaker 2: was campaigning, he said, hey, this is what I'm going
- 58:37Speaker 2: to do if you give me the presidency. Well, he's
- 58:39Speaker 2: doing it. And when you campaign on issues and then
- 58:41Speaker 2: follow through, good journalism would describe that as leadership, not lawlessness.
- 58:47Speaker 2: The AP also insinuates that Trump's policies erode checks and balances.
- 58:52Speaker 2: But we have to be clear here. The constitutional system
- 58:55Speaker 2: itself has not been broken. The legislative branch still passes law,
- 59:00Speaker 2: the judiciary still adjudicates disputes, and the executive still enforces policy.
- 59:05Speaker 2: Trump's critics object when he uses tools as written by Congress,
- 59:10Speaker 2: like trade statutes and national security authorities, but exploiting existing
- 59:14Speaker 2: law is not an abuse of power. That's what we
- 59:17Speaker 2: call governance. One glaring example of the AP's framing and
- 59:22Speaker 2: where it falls apart, is on tariffs. You know how
- 59:25Speaker 2: I feel about that. The article neglects to mention that
- 59:28Speaker 2: when the Supreme Court struck down the certain tariff authority,
- 59:32Speaker 2: the administration didn't retreat, but he just announced plans to
- 59:36Speaker 2: impose a fifteen percent global tariff under alternative legal authorities,
- 59:40Speaker 2: reaffirming his commitment to protecting American workers and industries. That's
- 59:45Speaker 2: not chaos. That's what the AP called it chaos. That's
- 59:49Speaker 2: strategic adaptation, and it flies squarely in the face of
- 59:54Speaker 2: the AP narrative. Notice what the Associated Press didn't emphasize,
- 59:58Speaker 2: didn't emphasize the president's economic accomplishments. Contrary to the AP's tone,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Trump will be using the State of the Union to
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: highlight concrete progress. Reporting elsewhere shows he plans to emphasize
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: tax cuts, efforts to lower prescription drug prices, legislation to
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: shift subsidies from insurers to consumers, and border security gains.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: All of these achievements with real measurable impact on American
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: lives were things he campaigned on. Another misleading insinuation, very
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: deep in the Associated Press's style of reporting is that
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Trump's approach to immigration, tariffs, and foreign policy has been
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: widely condemned, implying failure. But in reality, the president's hardline
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: policies are exactly what tens of millions of voters demanded
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: at the ballot box in twenty twenty four. From strengthening
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: the borders to revising trade deals, Trump's policies reflect broad
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: strategic goals to put America first, goals that remain popular
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: among most segments of the American electorate, and on foreign policy,
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: the ap neglects context. The world is unsettled. Russia, China,
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Iran and others are unresolved strategic questions. Trump's measured rhetoric
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: may not align with what establishment groupthink says, but showing
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: resolve and strength and America's interests first is not reckless.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: It's realistic. It's what we should be expecting of the president,
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: and the apiece framing suggests weakness when strength is the
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: actual objective. Perhaps most importantly, the ap article emits the
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: substance of the speech itself and instead focuses on secondary
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: narratives about boycotts and alternative rallies and democratic responses and
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: who's boycotting and all the rest. That's like reviewing a
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: book based on the cover and people that didn't read it.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Actual segments of the speech reported elsewhere show a president
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: outlining plans to uplift Americans, defend our sovereignty, and create
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: a prosperous future. In past joint addresses, Trump has focused
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: on tax reform, energy independence, national defense, criminal justice reform.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: In other words, real policy areas that matter to everyday Americans.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: If journalism's role is to inform. Then the Associated Press
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: failed its readers by amplifying political criticism and downplaying tangible
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: policy news. Consumers deserve facts, not just cheap frames. At
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: the end of the day, America is not in decline
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: because one outlet chooses to spend a narrative. The union,
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: in its people, businesses, and unshakable ideals, remains strong. And
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: when Trump takes the podium, Americans should listen for substance,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: not the straw men by activist base room desk reporting
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: with Americans. Borders are being secured, the economy is gaining strength,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: trade is being rebalanced, and America's interests are being defended.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: That's not spend. That's the The Associated Press can paint
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: this however it wants to, and it will, but the
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: truth is larger than their headline, and America's story will
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: not be told by pessimists. It will be written by
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: those who see strength or others see chaos, by those
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: who look at facts, not desired narratives. I am sorry
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: that I had to take the Associated Press to task
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: to the degree that I did, But everything they put
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: in that piece today just made you think that America
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: is falling apart and far be it. That's so far
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: from the truth. It's the opposite. We are excelling in
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: so many areas and ways right now, and that's why
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: I'm grateful that the President's going to have the time tonight.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: All the networks will carry it. Yes, they'll carry the
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Little Dog and Pony Show that's going to go on after.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: And yeah, I know that there's going to be some
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: of the Demmer Credit members that are going to boycott,
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: and they're gonna have all kinds of everybody's gonna try
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: to get their fifteen minutes tonight. But at the end
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: of the night, the President will have read into the
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: record of the US Congress exactly what we've done over
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: this last year and how much better off we're going
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: to be a year from now because those policies, especially
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: the big beautiful bill that kicked in January one, we're
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: already starting to see so much good. Anyway, I hope
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: you watch and tomorrow if you want to, let's talk
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: about it here on the show. I'm Kevin McCullough, That
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Kevin Show. That Kevin Show at gmail dot com. If
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: you want to write me, That Kevin Show at gmail
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: dot com or at that kevinshow dot com for everything else.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Coming right back, I'll ask Kat McFarland what she thinks
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: the President will talk about tonight next.
- 1:04:46Speaker 26: Here's something most people don't know. When Warren Buffett was
- 1:04:49Speaker 26: just thirteen years old, he didn't put his money into
- 1:04:52Speaker 26: a savings account while other kids were earning next to
- 1:04:55Speaker 26: nothing at local banks. Buffett put one hundred and fourteen
- 1:04:58Speaker 26: dollars into a little known investment. Today that one hundred
- 1:05:01Speaker 26: fourteen dollars would be worth over fifteen million dollars. And
- 1:05:06Speaker 26: it wasn't a risky trade. It wasn't even insider knowledge.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: It was an account that's.
- 1:05:10Speaker 26: Been around since eighteen eighty eight, and over the last
- 1:05:13Speaker 26: twenty five years it's averaged twenty nine percent a year.
- 1:05:17Speaker 26: That's what happens when your money is allowed to compound.
- 1:05:20Speaker 26: Compare that to today's savings accounts paying less than half
- 1:05:23Speaker 26: a percent while inflation quietly eats away at your buying power.
- 1:05:27Speaker 26: Buffett understood early banks are great businesses, just not for savers.
- 1:05:32Speaker 26: If you'd like to see what some investors call the
- 1:05:34Speaker 26: twenty nine percent account, go now to Secret Account twenty
- 1:05:38Speaker 26: nine dot com. That's secret account. The numbers two nine
- 1:05:43Speaker 26: dot com, Secret account twenty nine dot com.
- 1:05:46Speaker 27: Crime is skyrocketing. You may already own a firearm, but
- 1:05:50Speaker 27: before you face the financial and emotional weight of pulling
- 1:05:52Speaker 27: the trigger, consider burn up burnos less lethal launchers, fire
- 1:05:56Speaker 27: tear gas, and kinetic rounds designed to incapacitate attacker for
- 1:06:00Speaker 27: up to forty minutes, giving you time to escape and
- 1:06:02Speaker 27: call for help without deadly consequences. Now meet the all
- 1:06:06Speaker 27: new Compact Launcher. Sleek, slim, and hits like a sledgehammer.
- 1:06:10Speaker 27: About the size of a smartphone. It's perfect for concealed carry, comfortable, discreet,
- 1:06:15Speaker 27: and confidence building. It fires at four hundred feet per
- 1:06:18Speaker 27: second with forty one jewels per square inch of stopping power.
- 1:06:21Speaker 27: That's enough force to halt a threat cold without the
- 1:06:24Speaker 27: legal and moral complexities of lethal force. What I love
- 1:06:27Speaker 27: about Burna is there proudly American best of all. Burna
- 1:06:31Speaker 27: is legal in all fifty states, no background checks, and
- 1:06:34Speaker 27: ships directly to your door. Trusted by hundreds of police
- 1:06:38Speaker 27: departments and government agencies around the world. Visit Burna dot
- 1:06:42Speaker 27: com to learn more. That's BYRNA dot com.
- 1:06:47Speaker 28: Maybe this is you two. There's enormous frustration right now
- 1:06:51Speaker 28: with healthcare costs.
- 1:06:52Speaker 13: It is amazing.
- 1:06:53Speaker 28: Healthcare costs for families in the last twenty years have
- 1:06:56Speaker 28: almost tripled and it just keeps getting worse. All this
- 1:06:59Speaker 28: to say, hey, this is why meda share is so
- 1:07:02Speaker 28: in demand right now. People are looking for alternatives and
- 1:07:06Speaker 28: meta share is proven. You can save thousands of dollars
- 1:07:09Speaker 28: a year and actually like it. More Over a million
- 1:07:12Speaker 28: Americans are now part of healthcare sharing and meta share
- 1:07:15Speaker 28: is the gold standard.
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: It's trusted, it works.
- 1:07:18Speaker 28: It's been helping people save money and have peace of
- 1:07:20Speaker 28: mind now for thirty plus years. It's not some big,
- 1:07:23Speaker 28: impersonal thing either. It's community of people like you helping
- 1:07:28Speaker 28: each other. So yeah, if you're frustrated too, here's your
- 1:07:31Speaker 28: chance to make a refreshing change. You'll notice the difference
- 1:07:35Speaker 28: as soon as you call it. They're easy to talk to.
- 1:07:37Speaker 28: You can get a price within two minutes. Here is
- 1:07:39Speaker 28: the number.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Call eight four four ninety four Bible.
- 1:07:42Speaker 28: That's eight four to four ninety four Bible, eight four
- 1:07:45Speaker 28: four ninety four Bible.
- 1:07:47Speaker 25: This month, Pure Talk is honoring Jackson and Lincoln by
- 1:07:51Speaker 25: offering unlimited talk, text, and plenty of data for just
- 1:07:54Speaker 25: twenty five bucks a month. Meanwhile, Big Wireless is honoring
- 1:07:58Speaker 25: Benjamin Franklin by charging families hundreds of dollars for the
- 1:08:02Speaker 25: same five G service.
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: What's up with that?
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: Ben Franklin wasn't even a president.
- 1:08:08Speaker 25: When you switch to pure Talk, you'll be in business
- 1:08:10Speaker 25: with an American wireless company that supports our vets in
- 1:08:13Speaker 25: a big way and keeps all their customer service in
- 1:08:17Speaker 25: this country.
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: That's important.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: And you'll be on the.
- 1:08:20Speaker 25: Same towers the big carriers use, so you'll get the
- 1:08:23Speaker 25: same five G service without the inflated price. So hang
- 1:08:27Speaker 25: on to your Benjamins and switch to Puretalk. For a
- 1:08:30Speaker 25: Jackson and a Lincoln, no contract, no hidden fees. Dial
- 1:08:34Speaker 25: pound two five zero, say micro and you'll get fifty
- 1:08:36Speaker 25: percent off your first month when you switch. That's pound
- 1:08:39Speaker 25: two five to zero Micro for an American wireless company
- 1:08:43Speaker 25: that is truly unprecedented Pure talking.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Here he is from New York that time, Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: All right, Kevin mcgawaugh gled you with us that Kevin Show,
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: that kevinshow dot com. And thank you again for every
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: single station this week. We are saying thank you to
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: a number of them, but the entire Salem Cluster of
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: San Antonio and Houston Little Rock. I ran into your
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: GM last week at NRB and KSLR, the very first
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: station to carry me outside of New York there in
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: San Antonio. You're my station of the week this week.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Thank you for having us. Katie McFarlane is back with us.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: She had a little little surgery and doing some other stuff,
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: and she hadn't been with us for a couple of weeks.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: But I'm glad she's back. And Katie, you couldn't be
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: coming back at a better time because, as my audience
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: just heard, the Associated Press has one very strident view
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: of what the President's going to say tonight. I've tried
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: to counter that point by point as carefully as I
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: could with the evidence that's available. But foreign policy is
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: something that I think they really grossly missreper ed, because
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: they said literally that he tore up alliances that we
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: had across the country, and that he's or the world,
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: and that he's made the globe a more unstable place.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: They use the word unstable in their piece. Katie McFarlane,
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: you're an expert people presidents have asked for your advice
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: for many, many years. What's your bird's eye view of
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: how unstable Donald Trump has made the world.
- 1:10:25Speaker 29: Donald Trump is resetting the global chess for it, and
- 1:10:27Speaker 29: it needed resetting, and he's doing it because the United
- 1:10:31Speaker 29: States is and will be in that You need weeks
- 1:10:34Speaker 29: and months and years to come in the dominant position
- 1:10:36Speaker 29: in the world economically, with trade, with technology, militarily, with
- 1:10:41Speaker 29: global reach. We are resetting the global order to affect
- 1:10:47Speaker 29: what it works for the United States or really what
- 1:10:49Speaker 29: peeps the world a peace. So I would say that
- 1:10:51Speaker 29: the you know ap well, I mean, I guess they're
- 1:10:53Speaker 29: talking to a lot of grousing people who think, oh,
- 1:10:56Speaker 29: what a shame, the good old days are gone, because
- 1:10:59Speaker 29: the good old were gone and they just didn't realize
- 1:11:02Speaker 29: they were gone. Now, why is this working? Donald Trump
- 1:11:05Speaker 29: understands sort of two fundamental things about the world, and
- 1:11:09Speaker 29: he's not very good at articulating it. I hope tonight
- 1:11:11Speaker 29: at the State of the Union he does. But the
- 1:11:14Speaker 29: two fundamental things are every country and every company needs
- 1:11:18Speaker 29: to sell their goods to the United States or they
- 1:11:20Speaker 29: go broke. And number two. And he's used tariffs to
- 1:11:24Speaker 29: threaten those countries to get what he wants in terms
- 1:11:27Speaker 29: of a new trade deal. In terms of what he
- 1:11:29Speaker 29: wants with regard to cooperation over NARCO, terrorists, etc. The
- 1:11:33Speaker 29: second thing he recognizes is that because of the United
- 1:11:35Speaker 29: States energy capabilities and energy dominance, we are in an
- 1:11:41Speaker 29: amazing position to seize the future because every country realizes
- 1:11:46Speaker 29: that artificial intelligence, you know, technology is a leader in
- 1:11:50Speaker 29: determining the events of the future, and it's going to
- 1:11:52Speaker 29: make countries leader countries. But everybody else realizes that you
- 1:11:56Speaker 29: need energy to do that because of high tech requires
- 1:11:59Speaker 29: so much energy. Only the United States has the technology
- 1:12:03Speaker 29: and the energy resources to make us the dominant player
- 1:12:08Speaker 29: of the future in all areas of technology. So Trump,
- 1:12:11Speaker 29: understanding that fundamental fact, is rewriting everything. He's rewriting every
- 1:12:15Speaker 29: trade deal to say, you know, Spain, China, Italy, Indonesia,
- 1:12:22Speaker 29: the UK.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: I was shocked at the UK needed to have a
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: new deal, but they did.
- 1:12:27Speaker 29: They all need a new deal because they need to
- 1:12:29Speaker 29: sell in the United States. And so what Trump is
- 1:12:32Speaker 29: doing is not unfair to these other countries. It's resetting
- 1:12:36Speaker 29: to be a reciprocal trade agreement. You know, you charge us,
- 1:12:40Speaker 29: we charge you. So we're having access to the world
- 1:12:43Speaker 29: for our markets and the world the countries which go
- 1:12:46Speaker 29: along with a new trade deal, have access to the
- 1:12:48Speaker 29: American market. And then secondly, if you look at the
- 1:12:51Speaker 29: world stage energy, oil, fossil fuels, where's the dominance coming from. Well,
- 1:12:58Speaker 29: we're one of the major world powers of energy, oil,
- 1:13:02Speaker 29: natural gas, even call what are the other major powers? Well,
- 1:13:05Speaker 29: the Middle East we have a good relationship now with
- 1:13:07Speaker 29: those Arab oil producing countries, a close relationship because of
- 1:13:11Speaker 29: the Abraham Accords and now the Gosa Peace steel Then
- 1:13:15Speaker 29: number two Venezuela, one of the world's largest oil producers,
- 1:13:19Speaker 29: although not of late because they've just so screwed up
- 1:13:22Speaker 29: their oil industry. We are now determining Venezuela's energy policy.
- 1:13:27Speaker 29: So the United States is now going to be in
- 1:13:29Speaker 29: a dominant position with our own energy, with Venezuela, with
- 1:13:34Speaker 29: the Middle East, we are now going to be the
- 1:13:37Speaker 29: major influencer of energy events in the world. What does
- 1:13:40Speaker 29: that leave Iran? And who knows where Iran's going to
- 1:13:43Speaker 29: be six months from now, but Iran may be coming
- 1:13:46Speaker 29: under the influence of the United States policies in the
- 1:13:49Speaker 29: not too distant future. That leaves only Russia. So the
- 1:13:53Speaker 29: United States will determine who gets energy and at what
- 1:13:57Speaker 29: prices for that reason. If that's and that is going
- 1:14:00Speaker 29: to put the United States in the position of being
- 1:14:03Speaker 29: the new architect of the new architecture of the world.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: Well, and I think the kind of bitterness that was
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: in the AP piece was probably because they don't think
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: that America should be the determiner of those types of things.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: And it's a very kind of doctor Susan Rice Barack
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: Obama kind of mindset, as best I can tell. And
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: she was out yesterday or this weekend, you know, threatening
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: everybody that plays nice with the Trump administration that they're
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: gonna there's going to be basically hell to pay when
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: Democrats take back over again. I want them just a
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: alert everybody. That's that's what you're going to get if
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: you go away from America. First, that's what they are
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: planning on bringing back in. But it is this, it
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: is this idea that America needs to be humbled, if
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: not humiliated, that that we don't have the right to
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: decide things like global energy policy. And I really do
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: think kat in a lot of ways. I mean, even
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: even some kind of weird polling that came in over
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: the weekend where a couple of polling organizations were pulling
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: Americans on are you cheering for the Olympic athletes? And
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: if they were Democrats, they were saying no because they
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: felt like it was an embracement and embracing of the
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Trump administration, whereas Republicans will say, yeah, it doesn't matter
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: who's president, I'm cheering for our people. There's a it's
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: not cool to be pro American if you're on the
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: left and they think we need to be taken down
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: a notch.
- 1:15:35Speaker 29: You know, nobody has said it quite as well as
- 1:15:37Speaker 29: you did. And I felt the same thing going back
- 1:15:39Speaker 29: to the Obama administration. They did not want America to
- 1:15:43Speaker 29: be great again. America, in their eyes, didn't deserve it.
- 1:15:47Speaker 29: America should be taken down a couple of pegs, if
- 1:15:50Speaker 29: not many pegs. And so for them, whether it's Barack
- 1:15:53Speaker 29: Obama saying what do you think of American exceptionalism, well,
- 1:15:56Speaker 29: I think, you know, the Canadians believe in Canadian exceptionals,
- 1:16:00Speaker 29: and the British believe in British exception and the Chinese
- 1:16:02Speaker 29: China where he just says, we're all equal. And then
- 1:16:05Speaker 29: the United States should not be determining events. So as
- 1:16:08Speaker 29: a result of that, look at Marco Rubio's speech in Munich.
- 1:16:11Speaker 29: What did I say that was so significant? We reject
- 1:16:17Speaker 29: an approach and a government that will manage America's decline politely.
- 1:16:23Speaker 29: We have no intention of declining, and we don't think
- 1:16:27Speaker 29: we deserve to decline. We have the capability to lead,
- 1:16:31Speaker 29: and we deserve to lead. It was a full throated
- 1:16:33Speaker 29: endorsement of the opposite of the Obama doctrine, which is
- 1:16:37Speaker 29: really what infects I think the far left, the media,
- 1:16:41Speaker 29: the Democratic Party, where they don't think America should be
- 1:16:43Speaker 29: great again, and they're happy that it's not so now
- 1:16:46Speaker 29: they think they're still going to be in charge. What
- 1:16:48Speaker 29: they don't realize is that they'll all be speaking some
- 1:16:50Speaker 29: other language soon if somebody else is in church.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: Well. And that's the thing, Like I think back to
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: my grandparents Democratic Party, because my mom's parents were, you know,
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: died in the world Democrat in the sixties and seventies.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: But that's when you know, Democrats and Republicans could argue
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: all day at the Capitol and then go out to
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: dinner that night and have a perfectly enjoyable social interaction
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: with one another as reasonable people. There's an element to
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: the left that no longer desires to play nice, to
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: be reasonable, to even be kind to the people that
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: they disagree with. And this is what I don't understand.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: You don't like the fact that we want to make
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: the country strong. You would rather preside over a weak country.
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: You would rather preside over a country that's in decline,
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: that's failing. You want America to fail? What does that
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: do to your children, to the next generation that you're
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: leaving behind. How do you improve if that's your mindset.
- 1:17:46Speaker 29: Kevin, you said a really important word, preside. They do
- 1:17:51Speaker 29: want to preside. They'd rather be a captain of a
- 1:17:54Speaker 29: ship that sinks than a passenger on a ship that sails.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: That's extremely disappointing. Do you think there will be any
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: surprises by the president tonight?
- 1:18:06Speaker 29: No, I think that what he'll do it would probably
- 1:18:08Speaker 29: be too long a species as a president Trump I
- 1:18:12Speaker 29: used to right away.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: I said, someone who's had a fair amount of input
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: on state of the Union.
- 1:18:17Speaker 29: Yeah, exactly, somebody who has written Stay to the Union
- 1:18:20Speaker 29: addresses or sections of them going back forty or fifty years.
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: Yeah, it'll go.
- 1:18:24Speaker 29: On too long. He'll list his accomplishments in foreign policy,
- 1:18:27Speaker 29: he'll list his accomplishments in healthcare and bringing down prescription
- 1:18:31Speaker 29: drug prices, certainly on energy and bringing down gasoline prices.
- 1:18:35Speaker 29: And he'll really make the case of why American voters
- 1:18:40Speaker 29: should celebrate what he's done. And it will be in
- 1:18:43Speaker 29: some cases a defensive case, but he'll say, look, I've
- 1:18:47Speaker 29: done all these great things. Therefore we deserve your support
- 1:18:49Speaker 29: going forward. And then I think he'll take the so
- 1:18:52Speaker 29: he'll take the victory lap. And then because he's having
- 1:18:55Speaker 29: the American hockey team, which hard to believe that any
- 1:19:00Speaker 29: body in that country doesn't love those hockey players, he'll
- 1:19:04Speaker 29: acknowledge them in the gallery and I think that that
- 1:19:08Speaker 29: will be that will be the test of time.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: Are the Democrats that'll be a cool moment.
- 1:19:12Speaker 29: Yeah, that'll be a really cool moment because everybody in
- 1:19:14Speaker 29: the country just is so proud of them, regardless of politics.
- 1:19:18Speaker 29: And will the Democrats applaud the American Olympic team?
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: Who knows, But I want the cameras to be on them.
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: I want to see for myself, all right. T McFarlane.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: Always appreciate you, lady, Thank you so much.
- 1:19:31Speaker 29: It's a pleasure.
- 1:19:32Speaker 27: Thank you.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: Got it. Kevin McCulloch coming back from New York.
- 1:19:34Speaker 6: Don't go away, stick around for more than Kevin next time.
- 1:19:48Speaker 17: Well that's her a news time bobne in Washington. Expect
- 1:19:51Speaker 17: President Trump to play up all the benefits his policy's
- 1:19:54Speaker 17: brought to the US economy as he gives his State
- 1:19:57Speaker 17: of the Union addressed today. He's expected to look back
- 1:19:59Speaker 17: up what he considers to be his main accomplishments during
- 1:20:03Speaker 17: his first year of a second term, and also look forward.
- 1:20:06Speaker 17: One of the key points will be that Republicans, rather
- 1:20:09Speaker 17: than Democrats, should maintain control of Congress if they want
- 1:20:12Speaker 17: to implement his policies and help the economy recover from
- 1:20:16Speaker 17: the damage it suffered under the Biden administration. He'll also
- 1:20:19Speaker 17: talk about foreign policy and a number of other issues.
- 1:20:23Speaker 17: The latest report on consumer confidence indicates about a three
- 1:20:26Speaker 17: point gain this month compared to last, and that is
- 1:20:29Speaker 17: a trend in the right direction after a big loss
- 1:20:32Speaker 17: the month before. On Wall Street, the dal Jones Industrial

- 1:21:45Speaker 2: It suggested II Kevin mccallaugh, I want to invite you
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: to do something that changes lives. I've seen firsthand what
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Food for the Poor is doing across Latin America and
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: the Caribbean caring for the very people. Scripture calls the
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: least among US children living without food, families without water,
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: desperate on top of desperation. I've been there. I've walked
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: through the communities. I've fed the people with my own hands,
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: and I've held their children in my arms. And I
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: can tell you this work is real. Right now, we
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: need your help. Go to that kevinshow dot com and

- 1:22:24Speaker 2: entire year, along with access to clean water and the
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: basics of life. I know you're busy. I get it,
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: but this only takes a moment, and for the mother
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: whose child can't eat, it means everything. Thank you for
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: your generosity and thank you for giving life today. Call

- 1:22:58Speaker 1: Here he is from New York. That Kevin Kevin mcaulch,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: what are the children.
- 1:23:04Speaker 20: Eating today only tomatoes with tortilla?
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: Are they still hungry.
- 1:23:15Speaker 20: Right now? They are hungry. They want food and we
- 1:23:18Speaker 20: don't have money enough to get to the whole week.
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: How does it make her feel when she can't feed
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: her children.
- 1:23:26Speaker 20: It made me feel sad. Sometimes I get in my
- 1:23:29Speaker 20: room by myself and I cry. I wonder how can
- 1:23:32Speaker 20: I make their life better and have more money in
- 1:23:36Speaker 20: order to give them food. I don't want my sons
- 1:23:39Speaker 20: and my daughters to suffer.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Another real life story of a mom who faces that
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: kind of I don't know, Paul Jacobs. I consider it
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: kind of a form of anxiety and torture. Like if
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: you're a parent, the thing that you that keeps you
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: up at night is what what is good for my kids? What?
- 1:23:58Speaker 5: What?
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: What do I need to do to make sure my
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: children are okay? And that story by a woman named
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: miRNA Yolanda is one of those where you could you
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: could put yourself in her shoes. Any mom listening right
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: now could see themselves in that same situation and imagine
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: the angst, the anger, the doubt, the wonder will I
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: be able to help my children? To help my children
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: this week? She said, I don't have enough money for
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: this week. That's just got to be something that is
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: so overwhelming. And yet food for the poor is an
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: answer to so many prayers like that.
- 1:24:36Speaker 21: Mothers like my own going through hard times. It's it's
- 1:24:39Speaker 21: it's some it's one thing for them to go through.
- 1:24:42Speaker 21: And you know, a mother will take on this bear,
- 1:24:45Speaker 21: this way, to this this this pain, whatever it may be,
- 1:24:48Speaker 21: but when it involves their children, there is a desperation
- 1:24:51Speaker 21: and a fear and an anxiety that strikes a mother's
- 1:24:54Speaker 21: heart like something we can't even understand.
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: miRNA is no different.
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: When we visited her home, what was striking to her?
- 1:25:00Speaker 21: She put on a very good face, and her children,
- 1:25:03Speaker 21: her small children, there were three children there. Her husband
- 1:25:06Speaker 21: was out to work. He works seven days a week,
- 1:25:08Speaker 21: barely earns two dollars a day. What was really touching
- 1:25:12Speaker 21: her and what caused her the greatest anxiety was when
- 1:25:15Speaker 21: her six year old boy tugs on her and says, Mommy,
- 1:25:19Speaker 21: can I go to work with daddy so that my
- 1:25:21Speaker 21: little baby sister doesn't cry because she's hungry six years old?
- 1:25:26Speaker 21: And this is why she says that I get fear
- 1:25:28Speaker 21: because and I can't do anything. I can't show that
- 1:25:31Speaker 21: fear to my children. So I find myself away and
- 1:25:34Speaker 21: I cry in the corner of our room. These mothers
- 1:25:38Speaker 21: like you listening right now, like you watching us right now,
- 1:25:40Speaker 21: you have experienced pain in your own writer, Maybe you've
- 1:25:43Speaker 21: seen your parents struggle, and you could identify and understand
- 1:25:48Speaker 21: a mom who cannot feed her children. That particular trip,
- 1:25:51Speaker 21: when we visited me in Yolanda, after that interview, she
- 1:25:53Speaker 21: took us across this little dirt path where she has
- 1:25:57Speaker 21: this other shack where she keeps this barrel like your
- 1:26:00Speaker 21: garbage can you take out to the street every Tuesday
- 1:26:03Speaker 21: or every Saturday. And it's a It was a barrel
- 1:26:05Speaker 21: of water. This is where her water was, and she says,
- 1:26:09Speaker 21: this is what I have to clean to bathe my
- 1:26:11Speaker 21: children and to drink. And when I looked inside and
- 1:26:15Speaker 21: I took this little cup and I cup this water,
- 1:26:19Speaker 21: I can only I saw literally bugs and sediment. You
- 1:26:22Speaker 21: could see every every bit of sediment inside this water.
- 1:26:26Speaker 21: And she can't boil it enough to make it clean.
- 1:26:29Speaker 21: And this is what the plight of mothers like Meria
- 1:26:32Speaker 21: Yolanda that is going through right now. Why you're so
- 1:26:35Speaker 21: vitally important. I want to say a special thank you
- 1:26:37Speaker 21: because we've had some I don't know if they're moms
- 1:26:39Speaker 21: or not, but they are definitely coming to the rescue
- 1:26:41Speaker 21: of moms like Miraa, Yolanda Jennifer from Sandy, Oregon. Thank you, Jennifer.
- 1:26:46Speaker 21: Jennifer is giving for the very first time to food
- 1:26:48Speaker 21: for the poor.
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: Thank you, Bill.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: Welcome Betty Joe from League City, Texas. Thank you, Betty Joe.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Also the first house today, we've seen several.
- 1:26:57Speaker 21: That's exactly right. We've had Kathy from Lansing, Michigan. Thank you, Kathy,
- 1:27:02Speaker 21: God bless you. And Jacqueline from Brooklyn.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: New York, a hometown girl. Thank you, Jacquelin.
- 1:27:09Speaker 21: All of these ladies giving at the call center, calling
- 1:27:12Speaker 21: that toll free number eight five five nine zero seven
- 1:27:16Speaker 21: four six seven three, making their best gift and saving lives,
- 1:27:19Speaker 21: but also helping just take a little bit of that
- 1:27:23Speaker 21: pressure off moms like me and Ylanda.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: Well, I want to give you another reason why right
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: this minute is important. We have been notified that for
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: the next ten minutes, every single gift that comes in
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: will be matched. We've got a food and a water
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: match on for every child we can take care of
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: in this next ten minutes, So I need you to
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: go to the phone and do and do the best
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: you can eight five five nine zero seven four six
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: seven three. I'll never forget my first trip to Haiti.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: And by the way, the phone number eight five five
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: nine zero seven four six seven three. Don't let it
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: be too late. I'll never forget my first trip to
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: Haiti where I was with a group. We were on
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: a mission trip, and we were working with a school
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: that had a church and a school and an orphanage
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: and a little summer camp area for kids. And I
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: just remember this one little girl who I ended up
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: trying to adopt, but she passed away before we were
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: able to bring into our house. But she just had
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: a running nose NonStop for the whole ten days that
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: we were there. It was just like it never stopped running.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: And I remember asking the woman at the orphanage, how
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: come so many of these kids have these snot noses
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: that they just can't And she's like, their bodies doing
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: everything they can to fight off all the germs that
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: are coming at them in every way possible, twenty four
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: hours a day. She said, the fact that it's just
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: running noses is actually a blessing, because it could be
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: chest congestion, it could be other things that would take
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: the child down in a really, really hard way. And
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: it just was a shock to my system to see
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: that these immune systems could be so tender and so
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: vulnerable and so constantly under threat, and for them to
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: live as long as they did. I thought that that
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: was kind of a miracle. But friends, here's the thing.
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: You clean up their drinking water supply, you get them
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: good nutritious food, You get them enough calories that their
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: body begins to grow properly. It changes everything for them.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: And that's what your seventy five dollars gift does for
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: every child that you give. So if you give one
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: hundred and fifty dollars gift, that's two kids that you're
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: helping three hundred dollars four kids. And right now, if
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: you give in the next ten minutes, you've got that

- 1:34:23Speaker 2: I don't know about how other families have endured some
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: of the snow days, but we've taken the opportunity to
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: watch some historical movies, have some discussions with the kids
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: when we're all snowed in under forty five inches of
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: whatever we have on the lawn. And this summer, I'm
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: hopeful that we'll be able to take advantage of some
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: of what my next guest is offering. She was with
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: us just a few months ago talking about the Heritage
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: Foundation's guide to historic Sites. Brenda Hafera is her name,
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: and she rejoins us, Brenda, it's good to see you again.
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: Happy twenty twenty six. By the way, I don't think
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: i've seen you since the new year kicked over.
- 1:35:00Speaker 31: That's right, Happy Birthday America two.
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: Hundred and fifty. And in celebration of that, I think
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: the last time we spoke you had less than fifty
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: sites as part of the guide, But now you're closing
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: in on one hundred and thirty. That's pretty incredible.
- 1:35:14Speaker 26: Thank you.
- 1:35:15Speaker 31: Yes, we're very proud of this project. So the Heritage
- 1:35:18Speaker 31: Guide to Historic Sites pinpoints historic sites all across the country.
- 1:35:22Speaker 31: Now there's at least one in every state. So hopefully
- 1:35:26Speaker 31: families and citizens will be able to find a site
- 1:35:29Speaker 31: within driving distance of where they live, and the guide
- 1:35:32Speaker 31: pinpoints those sites they're all significant and then also grades
- 1:35:36Speaker 31: them AB or C based on historical accuracy, proportionality, and
- 1:35:42Speaker 31: ideological bias.
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: For people that didn't hear that conversation, go back to
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: the rationale, the basis, the reason that this guide needed
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: to exist.
- 1:35:51Speaker 31: Was what sure. So a few years ago I wrote
- 1:35:53Speaker 31: a report on Mount Vernon, Monticello, and Montpellier called the Good,
- 1:35:58Speaker 31: the Bad, and the Ugly, with Mount Vernon being the good,
- 1:36:01Speaker 31: Monticello the bad, and Montpelier the ugly. So and it
- 1:36:05Speaker 31: showed that some of our historic sites are straying right
- 1:36:08Speaker 31: at this point, if you go to Montpelier, there are
- 1:36:11Speaker 31: no exhibits dedicated to James Madison and his accomplishments, so
- 1:36:16Speaker 31: they're really moving sometimes.
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: What are they dedicated?
- 1:36:21Speaker 31: So there are two videos in the visitor center that
- 1:36:25Speaker 31: you learn a little bit about Madison, and you learn
- 1:36:27Speaker 31: a little bit about him on the tour. But all
- 1:36:30Speaker 31: the exhibits except for one that's like an archaeological one,
- 1:36:34Speaker 31: is on slavery and Jim Crow, And the only exhibit
- 1:36:38Speaker 31: for children is intended to teach children not about the
- 1:36:41Speaker 31: Constitution or the Bill of Rights, which Madison, of course wrote,
- 1:36:45Speaker 31: but to engage them with conversations on race and slavery.
- 1:36:49Speaker 31: And one of the ways they say to do that
- 1:36:51Speaker 31: is through children's books, and one of them includes imagination
- 1:36:56Speaker 31: exercises that teaches children to imagine them not as the
- 1:37:01Speaker 31: victim but as the aggressor, quote, whipping an individual until
- 1:37:06Speaker 31: his flesh cried blood. And this is an accompanied with
- 1:37:10Speaker 31: a picture of a man hanging with his back bloodied
- 1:37:14Speaker 31: from whip marks.
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: So that is that's in the children's book.
- 1:37:18Speaker 31: Yes, that's in a children's book. I believe that one's
- 1:37:20Speaker 31: for about fourth graders.
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: Okay, So Montpellier is as bad as it gets. What's
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: the next one up?
- 1:37:25Speaker 31: I would say Monticello is a mixed bag. They have
- 1:37:28Speaker 31: a lot of good stuff on offer, but my main
- 1:37:31Speaker 31: issue is there's not very much on Thomas Jefferson and
- 1:37:35Speaker 31: his accomplishments. They have some smaller exhibits at the base
- 1:37:39Speaker 31: of the mountain which are really about him as an
- 1:37:41Speaker 31: inventor and building of Monticello. But the exhibit that they
- 1:37:46Speaker 31: have on the Declaration is very lackluster. I would say
- 1:37:49Speaker 31: it's just a copy of the Declaration and a few
- 1:37:53Speaker 31: trivia questions, nothing about the remarkableness about that document and
- 1:37:57Speaker 31: what it means, and then very little on Tom Miss
- 1:38:00Speaker 31: Jefferson's political accomplishments, which is really what we know him for.
- 1:38:04Speaker 16: Right.
- 1:38:04Speaker 31: He is author of the Bill of Rights, He built
- 1:38:08Speaker 31: Virginia along with Madison, He was president, vice president, Secretary
- 1:38:12Speaker 31: of State. Right, he did quite a lot for this country.
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: And the best one of the three.
- 1:38:19Speaker 31: Mount Vernon is the best. So Mount Vernon gives ample
- 1:38:24Speaker 31: attention to George Washington and his accomplishments. They have an
- 1:38:28Speaker 31: entire museum dedicated to him, and it takes through his
- 1:38:32Speaker 31: life and political accomplishments. They talk about that during the tour,
- 1:38:36Speaker 31: and they are very careful and pay attention to primary
- 1:38:39Speaker 31: source documents, and they're very even toned. They incorporate slavery
- 1:38:45Speaker 31: as they should, but in a very even toned matter
- 1:38:48Speaker 31: of fact, matter of this is part of the American story.
- 1:38:51Speaker 31: We're going to talk about it, and we're going to
- 1:38:53Speaker 31: cover all these things.
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: And the point in creating this report was that you
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: were showing the disp in the sites, and you discovered
- 1:39:03Speaker 2: that these disparities occurred in many more places.
- 1:39:07Speaker 31: Correct, So I would say we're at a crossroads with
- 1:39:10Speaker 31: our historic sites. They're not fully lost, but they are
- 1:39:14Speaker 31: moving in a concerning direction. So other places. Montpelier produced
- 1:39:19Speaker 31: a rubric what they call a set of guidelines for
- 1:39:23Speaker 31: how to teach slavery and how to engage descendants communities.
- 1:39:29Speaker 31: And this is a way that they think that descendants
- 1:39:31Speaker 31: should be on the board. But if you look at
- 1:39:33Speaker 31: how they define descendants, it's anyone who feels connected to
- 1:39:37Speaker 31: the institution, whether or not they actually have a genealogical connection.
- 1:39:42Speaker 31: And they say that it's not enough to simply talk
- 1:39:45Speaker 31: about in slavery. You also have to talk about institutional
- 1:39:50Speaker 31: racism and those sorts of things. So you have to
- 1:39:52Speaker 31: engage in those activists kind of modern conversations. And those
- 1:39:57Speaker 31: guidelines are starting to be adopted at other places. They've
- 1:40:01Speaker 31: been adopted at John Dickinson's home and as well as
- 1:40:06Speaker 31: colonial Williamsburg has adopted them in some capacity.
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: So the purpose of the guide is to provide that balance,
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: or it's to just point out the bias.
- 1:40:16Speaker 31: I would say there are two main goals. So one
- 1:40:19Speaker 31: is to encourage folks to go to these places to
- 1:40:22Speaker 31: celebrate America two fifty right. Civic education doesn't just happen
- 1:40:27Speaker 31: in the classroom. This is one of the things that
- 1:40:29Speaker 31: American families do together with grandparents, parents and children. It's
- 1:40:35Speaker 31: how we relearn our history. And these are the places
- 1:40:38Speaker 31: where history really happen, so please go to them to learn.
- 1:40:42Speaker 31: So that's very positive. A lot of the more local
- 1:40:45Speaker 31: state places are still doing a very good job, so
- 1:40:49Speaker 31: that's one goal. The other goal is to bring third
- 1:40:52Speaker 31: party accountability to the museum and historic site space, where
- 1:40:56Speaker 31: we have sent people who know this particular an aspect
- 1:41:01Speaker 31: of history to these places and said these things are
- 1:41:05Speaker 31: off because sometimes these places are quite sneaky and they're
- 1:41:09Speaker 31: historical distortions.
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: That's unfortunate. If people want to know more, they go
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: to Heritage dot org.
- 1:41:16Speaker 31: Historic sites dot heritage dot org.

- 1:45:16Speaker 2: it out. I'll be watching and we'll be commenting on
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: it on tomorrow's show for sure, with very special guests,
- 1:45:22Speaker 2: very special insights. I still don't understand. This is the
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: most remarkable thing you have. The men and the women's
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: hockey teams both win the gold medal at the Olympic
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: Games last week, just days ago, and the head of
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: the FBI is in Italy, and he finds his way
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: to the locker room after the gold medal round and
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: celebrates with the team. Evidently, that's heinous, that's hideous. The
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: American FBI director cannot celebrate with the American hockey team.
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: I don't understand why it's heinous, but evidently it is.
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: According to Jessica Tarlov and other people, it's just it's
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: heinous that he would have any support for the American
- 1:46:14Speaker 2: hockey team. That's one thing. Then the President extends an
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: invitation for the women and the men, both winning teams,
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: to come and to sit in the balcony the well
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: tonight for the state of the Union. And you know
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: that when the president invites people to stay of the union,
- 1:46:38Speaker 2: he recognizes them. So it'd be a moment for the
- 1:46:41Speaker 2: President to say, and tonight we have with us our
- 1:46:45Speaker 2: gold medal winning world champion hockey teams, men's and women's
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: hockey teams. Congratulations. They would stand, everyone would applaud Usa, Usa,
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: Go USA, and it would be a happy moment for
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: the country. Well, the women whatever, snit, they had flapped
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: their nose. They know we're we're not going to jump never,
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: we'd never, could never be there, went to President Trump. Meanwhile,
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: the men's team was like, yeah, dude, we're there. And
- 1:47:18Speaker 2: then the criticism of the leftists in the US just
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: started pouring in. Well. Former NHL star Jeremy Ronick and
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: I forget which team he played for. I wasn't a
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: big hockey buff today condemned those who have not chosen
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: to celebrate Team USA men's hockey gold medal victory. After
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: the twenty twenty six Winter Olympics. He appeared on Jesse
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: Waters Primetime on Monday, and talked about what it meant
- 1:47:45Speaker 2: to USA Hockey to win the gold medal, especially over Canada,
- 1:47:48Speaker 2: but he lamented criticism aimed at the team. He said,
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: shame on everybody for not celebrating this.
- 1:47:55Speaker 27: Sports is not supposed to be political.
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: It's supposed to unite the country. We're all supposed to
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: get together and believe in one thing. I think ninety
- 1:48:02Speaker 2: nine percent of Americans on social media are loving it,
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: and then you turn around and see the politicization of
- 1:48:08Speaker 2: the sport, and it's just not right. The hypocrites are
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: coming out in droves, and it's unfortunate. We can't take
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: the greatest moment in sports and all celebrate it. It's
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: a real shame. The majority of the criticism aimed at
- 1:48:21Speaker 2: Team USA came after players spoke with President Trump over
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: the phone in the locker room. The President invited the
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: team to a State of the Union address, and several
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: players expressed excitement for the opportunity. First on Monday, then
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: the team flew from Italy back to the US. The
- 1:48:35Speaker 2: team went on a bus and drove around South Beach, Miami,
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: before having dinner at an upscale restaurant. There's going to
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: be a lot of droopys Ronic added, there's going to
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: be a lot of hair all messed up. But I'm
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: telling you they're going to represent the US exactly like
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: they did over there in Italy. They're going to show
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: up with pride. They're going to put their thumbs up
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: to the president who's doing an amazing job. But can
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: you come up with one good reason why a single
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: American can't celebrate the fact that your men's and women's
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: hockey team won the gold and the president who's president
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: on their watch, wants to congratulate them tonight. How on
- 1:49:14Speaker 2: God's green Earth is that something to be a problem.
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: He wants to congratulate them, He's the president. He should
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: be doing that. Democrats don't make sense to me a
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: lot of times, Yavin McCullough. We'll see them on
