Today, let's revisit something useful: the days of the week. Luna: Oh, we did those back in episode 15. I remember some of them. Lucas: Perfect. A quick refresher helps it stick. Let's start from Monday. In French, Monday is lundi. Luna: Lundi. Lucas: Yes. Tuesday is mardi. Luna: Mardi. Lucas: Wednesday is mercredi. Luna: Mercredi. That one's fun to say. Lucas: Thursday is jeudi. Luna: Jeudi. Lucas: Friday is vendredi. Luna: Vendredi. Like vendredi. Lucas: Saturday is samedi. Luna: Samedi. Lucas: And Sunday is dimanche. Luna: Dimanche. Lucas: Great. Now let's use them in a sentence. To say 'today is Monday', you say: Aujourd'hui, nous sommes lundi. Luna: Aujourd'hui, nous sommes lundi. Lucas: Right. 'Aujourd'hui' means today, 'nous sommes' means we are. So literally 'today we are Monday'. Luna: That makes sense. What about 'yesterday was Sunday'? Lucas: Oh, good question. 'Yesterday' is hier, and 'was' is était. So: Hier, c'était dimanche. Luna: Hier, c'était dimanche. Lucas: Perfect. Let's practice all the days again. Repeat after me: lundi. Luna: Lundi. Lucas: Mardi. Luna: Mardi. Lucas: Mercredi. Luna: Mercredi. Lucas: Jeudi. Luna: Jeudi. Lucas: Vendredi. Luna: Vendredi. Lucas: Samedi. Luna: Samedi. Lucas: Dimanche. Luna: Dimanche. Lucas: Now let's do a mini conversation. I'll ask you a question in French: Quel jour sommes-nous aujourd'hui? Luna: Oh, that means 'what day is today?' Lucas: Exactly. So answer me. Today is Wednesday. Luna: Aujourd'hui, nous sommes mercredi. Lucas: Très bien! Let's try another: What day was yesterday? Hier, c'était... Luna: Hier, c'était mardi. Lucas: Yes! Because yesterday was Tuesday. And tomorrow is jeudi. Luna: Tomorrow is demain, right? So demain, nous sommes jeudi. Lucas: Exactly right. Demain, nous sommes jeudi. Luna: This is so useful. I think I can finally remember them all. Lucas: You're doing great. Let's do one more round. Repeat each day after me, but this time with a little rhythm: lundi, mardi, mercredi...
