- 0:32So let us dive into this episode because today's episode is hard
- 0:35won like I have been reading so many things on social media
- 0:39regarding the passing. Of Augusta or August Augustina,
- 0:44I think she's Augusta. It's been sad like and the worst
- 0:49part of it is that the alleged killer or his name is Killer Boy
- 0:56social media handle. He's been coming online
- 0:59confessing that he did this. Now let me just take you back to
- 1:03how this whole thing started. A few days ago, news surfaced
- 1:08online that a very popular Instagram influencer was found
- 1:13dead in her boyfriend's apartments.
- 1:16According to the story, the mother waited for her daughter
- 1:20to come back home. The daughter did not come back
- 1:22home, so she had to go to the boyfriend's place to check on
- 1:26her. On getting there, the door was
- 1:28locked but the doctor's car was parked outside so she got the
- 1:32security, state security. This was in Lagos.
- 1:35She got the estate security to kind of go into the apartment.
- 1:40So they jumped the fence because the gate was locked.
- 1:43They jumped the fence, got into the apartment, the daughters car
- 1:47was parked there with the key on the bonnet.
- 1:49So they were able to access the apartment only to discover that
- 1:55she had passed on with vital organs and of her body missing.
- 2:01According to the story, her private part was missing.
- 2:04Her breast was missing her eyes. We are plucked out like her body
- 2:10was literally mutilated. This is a very young, beautiful
- 2:14girl and her life just ended like that.
- 2:18Imagine a mother looking for a child only to discover her in
- 2:21that state, not just lifeless, but, you know, her body
- 2:26mutilated. It was such a big story online
- 2:31because she was actually found in the boyfriend's apartment.
- 2:36So people started looking for the boy.
- 2:38They said, Oh my God, news broke that so her body was mutilated.
- 2:43This guy ran, now all of a sudden.
- 2:47Yesterday he surfaced online. He said he's talking about how
- 2:51what led to the incident. He said he only stabbed her.
- 2:57They had an argument over cheating allegations and then
- 3:02she took her knife. According to his story, she took
- 3:05a knife and from the whole like. He just cooked pop.
- 3:11So many stories, so people say axing.
- 3:13OK, if what happened was the way you were narrating it, why
- 3:18didn't you go to the police? Why?
- 3:20What? OK, what happened to the missing
- 3:22parts of her body? Now?
- 3:24The reason why people are not even believing this guy is
- 3:26because in 2020 he was arrested for 150 million naira.
- 3:33PLS scam. He was caught in Umuahia.
- 3:37He was gaoled but this guy had money.
- 3:39So he was able to build himself out throughout all from 22,000
- 3:44and one I think and 2002 police were actually like EFC and mopo
- 3:52were arresting him. He was the one posting those
- 3:54videos online. But people were thinking because
- 3:57of who police harassment. You know you see a lot of
- 4:00teenagers or you see a lot of young adults who are legit
- 4:04making money online and you know all these people are harassing
- 4:08them. So even the illegitimate ones,
- 4:11even the ones that are illegally.
- 4:13Getting money, money, laundry, Yahoo.
- 4:16They will all come online and claim that the EFC or the SAS or
- 4:23the more poor people, police are harassing them because they
- 4:27think, because they profile them, because they think they're
- 4:29Yahoo boys. But this guy actually is a Yahoo
- 4:33boy now. Before the passing of Augusta,
- 4:35they've been travelling private jets, going to different
- 4:39islands, Mauritius like different places, travelling to
- 4:43Paris like shopping, Gucci, Prada.
- 4:48They were living the life. Now he begs the question a whole
- 4:52lot of people have been asking. Is it that the parents are not
- 4:56aware of what their children are doing?
- 4:58Or is it that the mother of the girl is not aware that this guy
- 5:03has been stopped severally, has been arrested for fraud, and you
- 5:08allow your child to date that kind of person.
- 5:12So people have been asking questions, People have been
- 5:14saying, OK, all these girls that are online trying to live on the
- 5:18fast lane, trying to get money, trying to carry Birkin bags, you
- 5:22know, at the age you in your early 20s.
- 5:25But you want to live a life of somebody who is in their 40s, in
- 5:29their 50s, these people. Worked hard for their money.
- 5:32This would have done a lot of things to get their money.
- 5:34I am not saying that there are some people in their 20s that
- 5:38you know, they walk. The Internet has made it such a
- 5:40way that you can earn money even at the age of 1015.
- 5:45If you know what you're doing online or if your parents are
- 5:48the ones that can supervise you. You can create content online.
- 5:52You can make money online that is not, you know, no questions
- 5:55about that. Now.
- 5:57The brother of the girl came out and said he knew when she
- 6:00started this influencing thing. She used to go to yaba and if
- 6:04you don't know yabba yabba second hand clothes.
- 6:07They are very known for selling second hand clothes.
- 6:10She used to go there to pick second hand clothes and then she
- 6:12arranged and post the pictures online and people think Oh my
- 6:15God she she is balling. She has all this money.
- 6:19Like everything you see online is make believe nobody posts,
- 6:23you know their actual pro process online.
- 6:26All you see is shiny, airbrushed feel, tired pictures, people
- 6:32going to different places to take pictures.
- 6:34Some of them are not even logging in these hotels.
- 6:36Some of them are just tagging along with people and then they
- 6:40go there with whole bags of clothes and change and take
- 6:43pictures for. An average person looking at
- 6:46those pictures would think, Oh my God, these people are living
- 6:48the life. I am so broke I am not even
- 6:51achieving anything because look at my mates, Look at what my
- 6:54mates are doing. And the parents are not even
- 6:57helping matters because most time parents now are the ones
- 7:01putting pressure on their children.
- 7:03You see a mother or a parent will tell you, oh look at this
- 7:06person's daughter, look at what she's doing now.
- 7:08Look at the other person's daughter.
- 7:10Look at what the person is doing.
- 7:11Look at that person's son. They just bought him a car.
- 7:14Ah, this person just built their their parents a house.
- 7:18They are seeing all these things not knowing they are putting
- 7:20pressure on their children. You see parents giving
- 7:23responsibilities. The children, not just children
- 7:26taking care of themselves but telling them, ohh, you need to
- 7:30take care of the whole family. You need to take care of the
- 7:32extended family. And I need to show people that
- 7:34my my child has made it. Where are you thinking these
- 7:36children are getting this money from?
- 7:38It is high time we talk to our parents.
- 7:40It is high time we talked to the society at large because you see
- 7:44whole lot of people who you know, you know these people are
- 7:50too young to be doing certain things these people did.
- 7:54They are not falling off from the sky.
- 7:56They have parents, they have family, they have extended
- 7:59family, they have neighbours, but nobody is willing to say
- 8:03anything. Instead of bring their child to
- 8:05say, OK, help this child, help my child do so that my child
- 8:09would drive bins, help my child do so that my child nobody is
- 8:13ready to go through process. You see somebody that is
- 8:17jobless, you tell the person, listen, come and do this.
- 8:20Maybe the next four years you can get, you know, get your life
- 8:24together. They'll tell you four years,
- 8:26four years, it's too far. I don't have four years to waste
- 8:29the call it waste. What they want is immediate
- 8:32money, Immediate money. And then you go to the parents
- 8:36and say, listen, I've been at pricing your child to do a B&C.
- 8:42He's another. They're paying just 5000.
- 8:44No, she won 5000. Do for her.
- 8:48These are parents. These are parents, you know
- 8:53talking about their children who are not even any thousand naira.
- 8:57But they will tell. They will tell you no.
- 8:59That is no. They don't want their child to
- 9:01go through that. No.
- 9:03Then where are you expecting these children to get the money?
- 9:06Most times people who are into fraud, their parents are aware.
- 9:11You cannot tell me otherwise. And let's even leave the parents
- 9:14part and come to the lady in question.
- 9:17May her soul rest in peace. Like a whole lot of people have
- 9:20been saying. Ohh nobody should bash.
- 9:22Said nobody should talk evil about the dead, but you were
- 9:27dating somebody who you know is an Internet fraudster.
- 9:32You know, we've been having this conversation of Yahoo Plus, of
- 9:37people doing a whole lot of things, doing rituals.
- 9:40We're talking about young children.
- 9:42We're talking about teenagers. We're talking about people in
- 9:46their early 20s car like flashing money online.
- 9:52This guy is not even up to 25 and he was flying private jet.
- 9:55What has he done? He did not design A software.
- 9:59He did not. He is not into IT.
- 10:02So as a parent, as a society, what are we actually telling the
- 10:08this generation or the next generation?
- 10:11Let's see. Won't tell ourselves the truth.
- 10:13You go to these people's pages, you see a whole lot of
- 10:16followings. You see people giving them
- 10:18endorsement deal. You see people doing all these
- 10:21things knowing fully well that these children or this young
- 10:25adults cannot afford the lifestyle that they are
- 10:28portraying. Even if they can afford it, that
- 10:32money is not legitimate. But we don't want to say the
- 10:36truth. Yes I can understand Oh my God
- 10:39we don't have to bash her. You know she she knew she was
- 10:42listening Yahoo guy but she did not bargain for the end that she
- 10:48got. Or it is high time we start
- 10:51telling people before if you want to carry a Birkin bag, if
- 10:56you want to wear designers, if you want to start flying private
- 11:00jets, you have to put in the work.
- 11:03Young ladies these days they are looking at keeping up with the
- 11:05Kardashians. They want to live the lifestyle
- 11:08that those people are living. So how do you get those things?
- 11:12You want the big bomb like? BBL is the order of the day in
- 11:18Nigeria at the moment. Everybody is trying to look like
- 11:20a Barbie doll just because they want to come on social media
- 11:24again, the followings and is vanity upon vanity.
- 11:30Nobody is trying to grow talent, nobody is trying to to make it
- 11:34legitimately. Nobody is trying to follow due
- 11:38process. Everybody just wants to skip the
- 11:40queue, jump the queue, just get to the finished product, not
- 11:46minding how. To you know what is going to
- 11:49take them. But the reality in life is
- 11:52regardless of those those hard work that you you're skipping,
- 11:57you're thinking, oh, why do I have to go in 10,000 when I can
- 12:02call this person and the person will give me 10,001 day, you
- 12:06will not be able to reach that person to give you 10,000 and
- 12:09you have to go through that hard work to get that 10,000.
- 12:14And then what happens? What happens at that point?
- 12:17What are you going to do? Because when you get to that
- 12:20point, maybe it's too late. Now you're now in your 40s and
- 12:24your late 30s. You cannot.
- 12:26You're thinking, Oh my God, how can I now go back to school?
- 12:30Or how can I go back to learn trade?
- 12:32Or like people don't understand all that glitters is not gold.
- 12:39Don't go and build copying people.
- 12:41Don't go and be thinking, OK, David is living, flying private
- 12:45jets. He's just 30 years old, me and
- 12:48he's like flying private jets in his 20s.
- 12:50I have to do the same. The video is working his bottom
- 12:53off. He's walking.
- 12:56What are you doing? What is your talent?
- 12:59What are you developing? We need to sit ourselves down
- 13:03and tell ourselves the truth. You advise people.
- 13:08You tell them, listen, life is not like this.
- 13:10They will think, ah, you, that is just you're too slow.
- 13:13You're too slow. Ah see on me.
- 13:15See what your miss are doing. Ah, no, no, no, no.
- 13:18I can't. So I can't waste my time.
- 13:21I can't be stressing myself like that.
- 13:23I want to do what this person is doing and then you're doing
- 13:25those things. You're not asking what these
- 13:28people are doing to make money. It's OK you asked and then you
- 13:33decide to join them or lose show or whatever they're doing or you
- 13:37want to go and this Yahoo boy. This is how you end up.
- 13:42This has become rampant in Nigeria.
- 13:44People are people are losing children.
- 13:48People are losing children, people are losing their
- 13:50daughters because all these Yahoo boys, it is this ladies
- 13:54they are using to do these things.
- 13:57Why? As a society, we need to start
- 14:01unlearning and relearning processes of how life work.
- 14:08You're just coming out from the university.
- 14:09You think you're supposed to be driving Bens.
- 14:12Many, many work you don't do. Have you aimed?
- 14:19Do you want this time what it means to to earn money, pay your
- 14:23bills, save money, and then improve your life?
- 14:27Do you even understand the concept of that?
- 14:29People don't get it. People don't get it.
- 14:33They just want to wake up one money.
- 14:35They're driving bans. They're leaving soft life.
- 14:38They don't care how that comes. They just want that life.
- 14:42They don't want to be that girl. It comes with a price.
- 14:49Costa has paid that price. Don't be the next person.
- 14:55If you want to be an influencer, take your time.
- 14:58It's going to take you time. Thought you were going to get
- 15:02there. If that is what you truly want
- 15:04to do, he's going to take your time, but you're going to do it.
- 15:10Don't pay with your life. Don't pay with your life and
- 15:14every parent looking at their daughter, going to Maldives,
- 15:19going to Dubai and you know your child is jobless and you're
- 15:23allowing your child to do those things.
- 15:27They're going to bury your child, though.
- 15:29You are going to bury your child if your son.
- 15:33Is jobless. And you're not advising your son
- 15:38to do things, follow due process, and your son is flying
- 15:43private jets. Your son is travelling from one
- 15:47place, your son is driving bans, changing cars every year and
- 15:51you're busy going to to to meetings and saying yes to my
- 15:55son is the richest. Your son will end up like killer
- 16:01boy. Let us advise ourselves.
- 16:06We have brothers, we have sisters, we have family members,
- 16:10we know neighbours, we know people who are into all these
- 16:14things. These people are not, they are
- 16:17not ghosts. These are products of our
- 16:20society. The earlier we start telling
- 16:23ourselves the truth, the better for everybody.
- 16:28Anyway, I don't want to seem like a hater.
- 16:33Anybody that is making money legitimately, I applaud you.
- 16:38I wish you more money, more grace to your elbow.
- 16:42And if you're thinking you're in a process where all your mates
- 16:47are above you and you don't know how to go about it, just start
- 16:52from somewhere. Start from somewhere.
- 16:56If you're thinking I can't do anything now, in the next five
- 16:59years, you still where you are, you will still remain in the
- 17:03same place. So start whatever you have to
- 17:06start, even if he's going to take.
- 17:07Five years started because if you don't, in the next five
- 17:12years you'll still be where you are.
- 17:14If you look at life that way, I don't think people would.
- 17:20Do certain things like I don't even know.
- 17:25Anyway, that's all I have to say for today.
- 17:29It's it's really sad one because this is just too young.
- 17:33People just destroy their life or for money for fame for his
- 17:41certain lifestyle. Anyway, thank you very much for
- 17:44watching today's episodes. This episode is once again
