  weekend, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, right here in Pevely,

  promote my local race tracks, Federated Auto Parts Raceway

  Park. Finally, I feel like I've been

  saying that. People have been teasing me.

  One gentleman came up to me over the weekend and he said, Herman.

  I said, yeah, buddy, he goes I-55 Federate.

  He said it all verbatim, just like I say.

  All right, well, I think we've done a good job promoting this

  weekend's race right here at I-55.

  OK, we got a wild one moving in. A little bit of a monologue, a

  little bit to say before we talk about one of the worst nights in
• 1:22
  dirt race in history. We're going to get to that.

  It's going to be all about dirt racing.

  So we got some crazy weather moving in.

  Crazy weather. They're saying around one O

  clock today we're supposed to have 30 mile an hour straight
• 1:40
  winds, 50 mile an hour gust. That's like 70° right now.

  They're saying going to get down to zero wind chill temperature

  late through the night into the morning.

  Could have some snow tonight. I'm like what?

  Then on Wednesday back up to 70° and all week Wednesday,

  Thursday, Friday, all week long 7075° but tonight, Sunday night

  and Monday 0° wind, temperature. Oh my God, just the craziest

  weather you ever heard of. Has it been like that where you

  live? Respond right here 70° one day

  20 the next 70 the next day 30 is it's been crazy well, we'll

  see we'll we will make sure everything's tied down.

  I know the trampoline's tied down now because we lost the

  last trampoline this exact time last year.

  Oh, my God. I just realized it's been one

  year. Last year during the Vegas race

  and here, it's the Vegas for NASCAR, and we lost.

  We had a tornado roll through here.

  So we'll make sure everything's tied down.

  I knew then. I know the new trampoline is

  tied down. All right, OK.

  Last night was one of the worst eerie feeling dirt racing
• 3:07
  weekends of the year. Follow me close now.

  So the World of Outlaws Sprint cars, they were in Cannondale
• 3:19
  and they had a wreck and two of the officials were on their side
• 3:25
  by side, you know, like a John Deere Gator or whatever,
• 3:29
  something like that. There was a wreck.

  So two of the side by sides, they went racing towards the
• 3:36
  wreck to attend the people that wrecked.
• 3:38
  And when those two side by sides were racing towards the wreck,
• 3:43
  they ran into each other and sadly it was devastating.

  One of the officials died. Just unbelievable.

  So my, my prayers go out to the World of Outlaw Sprint car
• 3:56
  family and the man's family that lost his life.

  I know the other one is roughed up, but very, very eerie
• 4:07
  feeling. And here's why.

  Because the world of Outlaw Late models over here is Smoky
• 4:14
  Mountain, right? They're they're coming to the
• 4:17
  white flag. And the leader is coming off of,
• 4:24
  you know, one of the corners and Dennis Herb somehow gets spun
• 4:28
  outgoing straight down the straightaway.

  You talk about a crazy moment. So now Dennis IRB, he's on a
• 4:35
  backup car because at Bulls Gap the night before he gets
• 4:39
  wrecked, he's got to go to a backup car.

  So he's already been roughed up. So here, Dennis IRB #28 he gets
• 4:46
  spun, outgoing straight, and all of a sudden Brandon Overton, the
• 4:52
  leader, doesn't see him because Brandon Overton is behind a lab
• 4:57
  car. The lab car moves out of the way
• 4:59
  and there is Dennis IRB parked sideways and Brandon Overton

  just center punched him. It was a violent wreck.

  You could hear it through the TV and they immediately went red
• 5:11
  flag. Everybody became quiet.

  It's like, my God, what is going on here?

  So dirt car, that division, you know, dirt car is like the word
• 5:23
  NASCAR. Dirt car is like the word NFL.

  You know, dirt car owns world of outlaw Sprint cars, world of

  outlaw late models. So in an eerily way almost
• 5:35
  simultaneously complete different, you know, states away
• 5:41
  red flag for both series Sprint cars and late models.

  So thank God everybody walked away.
• 5:51
  But you talk about a wild night and dirt racing.

  So that knocked out at Smoky Mountain, that knocked out the

  leader Overton and Chris Madden. And so Bobby Pierce was running

  third. Nick Hoffman was running 4th.

  Ricky Thornton was running 5th. So that's the way it finished.

  They went. They went green, white
• 6:12
  checkered, I think Pierce one and Nick Hoffman was second.

  RTJ was third. OK, heavy night and dirt racing.

  All the people in NASCAR, Bob Pograss, all the NASCAR media,

  they were, I noticed that Bob Pograss retweeted, you know, on

  the X platform everything that happened with the World of
• 6:40
  Outlaw Sprint cars. OK, so yesterday, on Saturday, I
• 6:46
  made a big deal out of Corey Day and Kyle Larson.

  Little did I know. Update.

  Update OK, here we go. Update on the Corey Day Kyle
• 6:58
  Larson battle. So what happened?

  Well, later on after coffee with Kenny yesterday, Kyle Larson
• 7:05
  goes ahead and wins the O'Reilly Auto Parts race.

  Yeah, Kyle Larson wins it. I think Corey Day finished 7th.

  During the Media Center, you know, they're having a media
• 7:18
  deal and Kyle Larson is asked how are you able to do all this?

  And he says, you know, he's just used to it.

  And he looked at his watch in the media, said he goes, I got

  about 20 minutes until I got to be right next door for the high
• 7:31
  limit Sprint car race. He goes over there and he ends

  up finishing I think 6th or 7th. Now.

  Corey Day was running like fourth with four laps to go or
• 7:43
  something like that, Broke an axle and he flipped down the
• 7:48
  back straightaway. Aaron Reitzel won the high limit
• 7:51
  race. What a cool name, huh?

  Aaron Reitzel, right, So wins Tanner Holmes, I think it was.

  Tanner run 2nd and good run for Rico Abro.

  And like this third race for Tony Stewart, you know, Rico

  Abro drives for Tony Stewart now in high limit and so Rico

  finishes 3rd. But as far as the tiebreaker

  last night, Kyle Larson, when's the tiebreaker?

  SO3 races out there in Vegas on the dirt track.

  Dirt look good. Whoever, whoever got that dirt,

  you know that that's nothing but desert.

  Saying that, I don't know how they did it, but boy, they did a

  really good job. Good race.

  Kim and I made it home. Kim went downstairs, worked on a

  I put the motor in the dirt car. Of course, it took me a couple

  hours to get everything unloaded from the big trip and see how

  we're looking. Good.
