- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Scrub a dub dumb.
- 0:14Speaker 4: I don't know if you noticed, but we're a little
- 0:16Speaker 4: late releasing a podcast this week.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Yes, that was my fault.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Fallen soldier, fallen soldier.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I don't well what.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I don't drink myself, but I often I feel like
- 0:30Speaker 1: I don't get sick often.
- 0:33Speaker 4: I will say, as often as Robbie gets sick, you
- 0:36Speaker 4: really do have a strong immune system.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Yes, thank you so much, because she's.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Sick all the time and you never get it. Yeah,
- 0:42Speaker 4: so it was about time that you went down.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I went down, and I went down hard on Sunday.
- 0:49Speaker 2: So it just happened Sunday, Saturday.
- 0:50Speaker 3: It happens Saturdayay.
- 0:51Speaker 1: But I was like, you know, my mind, I'm around,
- 0:53Speaker 1: I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm sleep load up.
- 0:57Speaker 3: On the things.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And then said they hit me hard, and your girl
- 1:02Speaker 1: is down, Yeah, down down, and I'm deep.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Luteal So I was down and dark.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Okay, wait, so you're lutil which means I too, am
- 1:10Speaker 4: lutial because we were sinked. Right.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I just got my period this morning.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, early last month.
- 1:15Speaker 3: That wasn't the twentieth twentieth. Well, I can exactly tell
- 1:18Speaker 3: you last month, thank you very much. People like to know.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Well, no, because she made a whole thing and took
- 1:26Speaker 4: a video and being like we're finally seeing I got it.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Oh okay, all right, gotcha. I'm just around the corner,
- 1:33Speaker 2: just around the corner. Well, sorry to hear that yet
- 1:39Speaker 2: is not great.
- 1:40Speaker 1: No, but we're back and we're here. Yes on Tuesday.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I like it Tuesday for this show.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going up. That's a great song.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Thanks, Yeah, I like it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's good.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not Monday.
- 1:54Speaker 4: But Monday's your favorite day, soil. But we're not changing anything.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Oh okay, oh.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know a.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Tuesday Thursday schedule four.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I don't know. I like it Tuesday.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I don't know why all podcasts seem to go up
- 2:12Speaker 5: on Mondays. I don't know how that started. Easton. Can
- 2:14Speaker 5: you shot some Moe All?
- 2:15Speaker 6: I want to a lot of the podcasts I listened
- 2:16Speaker 6: to you go up on Fridays thursdayday.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Night, because then people have the whole weekend to listen. Yeah.
- 2:21Speaker 6: I think a lot of people want to catch that
- 2:23Speaker 6: Monday commute Sunday night. That's what we do here at iHeartRadio.
- 2:27Speaker 6: But there's no real answer.
- 2:29Speaker 4: I think it's just a preference, even if it comes
- 2:32Speaker 4: out on Friday. If you're like, well, I listen to
- 2:34Speaker 4: my podcast on what or Friday? What did I just
- 2:36Speaker 4: say on Monday? But I want to listen on the
- 2:40Speaker 4: weekend no matter what they come out there, I just
- 2:42Speaker 4: wait for the weekend.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Anyways, we can discuss further. Mark had a birthday so.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Much. Tanya's just coming up two days away.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I got my cancers all around. How was your birthday?
- 2:56Speaker 5: It was fine, thank you. I have a weird coincidence
- 2:59Speaker 5: that twice in my life I've gone to see a
- 3:01Speaker 5: children's production of Mary Poppins on my birthday, and neither
- 3:04Speaker 5: time were my kids in the production. So I don't
- 3:06Speaker 5: know how to explain that exactly, but that's what I
- 3:09Speaker 5: did on Saturday as I went to Mary Poppins.
- 3:11Speaker 2: How do you explain that, Well.
- 3:13Speaker 5: A friend of ours there, it's a camp that my
- 3:16Speaker 5: daughter was heavily involved in when she was little, Okay,
- 3:19Speaker 5: and now she's a counselor at it because she's eighteen,
- 3:22Speaker 5: and so she choreographed it, so we wanted to see
- 3:24Speaker 5: what she choreographed. And our friend's kid is in the camp,
- 3:26Speaker 5: so it was a double thing when to support them,
- 3:29Speaker 5: see what you know, that sort of thing. Yeah, so
- 3:31Speaker 5: that's what I did. I spent my afternoon at Mary Poppins. Yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 5: it was a good show.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I think next year you should maybe try and plan
- 3:38Speaker 2: something that.
- 3:41Speaker 5: It's the best late plans, you know, like family stuff
- 3:44Speaker 5: just comes up. When it comes up. You can't really
- 3:46Speaker 5: schedule around it. So but it was fine, Thank you.
- 3:49Speaker 5: We wone got pizza. It's good, nice, nothing too excited.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Birthday pizza.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Birthday pizza is.
- 3:55Speaker 2: That typically what you do as a man.
- 3:58Speaker 5: An exotic pizza, like different pizza, like Detroit style, Chicago style,
- 4:02Speaker 5: some sort of thick, interesting pizza. There's a place on
- 4:06Speaker 5: Thousand Oaks called the Slice House that it's very interesting
- 4:09Speaker 5: slices of pizza with like honey or like different stuff
- 4:13Speaker 5: on it, different kinds of cheeses, and it's really fun
- 4:16Speaker 5: to go there and just go nuts.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Do you know what you're rising in moonar?
- 4:20Speaker 5: Sure? Don't?
- 4:21Speaker 2: Okay, well what are your rising in the moon?
- 4:23Speaker 3: I just told you this.
- 4:25Speaker 4: This seems like something that you should be able to.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That would make sense.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah, oh my gosh, wow, I have to this up
- 4:36Speaker 1: because I just did it.
- 4:37Speaker 2: What's the what is it called? Co star?
- 4:41Speaker 4: What's your astrology name? Tati? You're very disappointed in this,
- 4:48Speaker 4: she would, It's okay, it's okay.
- 4:51Speaker 5: I don't understand any of this. But it looks like
- 4:52Speaker 5: a moon sign is Pisces. I'm a cancer with a
- 4:55Speaker 5: Pisce's moon sign? Is that right? Am I reading that correctly?
- 4:59Speaker 3: I don't?
- 5:00Speaker 2: What are you looking at?
- 5:01Speaker 5: Awesome website? Is Google? My my?
- 5:03Speaker 3: No, you have to put in oh oh no, market
- 5:07Speaker 3: like time.
- 5:09Speaker 5: All that stuffy sign.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, So it's cancer sun and cancer moon
- 5:17Speaker 1: and taurusts and Aquarius rising, which is sensitive seeks comfort
- 5:21Speaker 1: for gibbs but never forgets so nice, so you yeah, yeah,
- 5:26Speaker 1: what's yours?
- 5:27Speaker 4: I'm which is the one that you present as? Is
- 5:30Speaker 4: that your moon rising? The so my moon is Libra
- 5:35Speaker 4: and my rising is cancer.
- 5:38Speaker 3: We're so tight?
- 5:41Speaker 2: How I remember?
- 5:42Speaker 4: They say, like typically how you present which makes sense
- 5:44Speaker 4: because like libras can be very indecisive, and that's I
- 5:47Speaker 4: really resonate with that. That's about it, though, I don't.
- 5:50Speaker 4: I don't really go in depth about astrology. It's just
- 5:52Speaker 4: fun to ask. I love it, I know, but you
- 5:55Speaker 4: love it. You don't love it so much that you
- 5:56Speaker 4: knew your own moon.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And resonate so much as a cancer that I don't
- 6:01Speaker 1: care about the other sign.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I spent.
- 6:06Speaker 4: My whole entire week watching Love Island usay.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I mean, I gotta say, Becka put in the work
- 6:13Speaker 1: I should be put in the w E r K.
- 6:16Speaker 4: I would just like to say that that was twenty six.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I think I got I think I have a couple before.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I'm like officially caught up because it work.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Tonight, we're on episode thirty one.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Oh my, and you guys, so it actually ends this weekend.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I think the finale is the twenty first. Can you
- 6:34Speaker 1: confirm that for me? I'd be happy to thank you
- 6:36Speaker 1: so much.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I think the finales this Sunday.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Yeah, so I really put in the work to be
- 6:43Speaker 4: able to have this conversation on scrubbing in.
- 6:46Speaker 3: And you know we're gonna have it in depth.
- 6:49Speaker 5: I can't confirm Sunday is the finale.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Yeah, so you're just there, You're right there. I gotta
- 6:53Speaker 3: get it tired. I'm so tired, just a couple more.
- 6:57Speaker 3: If I can tell you what Iler's voice fuck air.
- 7:06Speaker 2: To lose my mind. Oh my gosh.
- 7:13Speaker 3: So but I really appreciate you doing that because.
- 7:16Speaker 2: If you don't for you, you know me.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yes, I sent Beca this thing that said the Love
- 7:23Speaker 1: Island USA finale is set to air, Oh yeah, July
- 7:25Speaker 1: twenty first, as Peacock also announces that the series as
- 7:29Speaker 1: the most watched streaming reality show in America.
- 7:33Speaker 5: Looking at me like, you're in my face. I never
- 7:35Speaker 5: said it wasn't popular. What I said was your for
- 7:38Speaker 5: you page is not a great gauge of what is popular.
- 7:41Speaker 5: It's just great gauge. It's popular with you. That's the thing.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Also, but you also said nobody watches.
- 7:47Speaker 5: I said, I have information on.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Thinking about life without Love Island usay meme of Aaron
- 7:54Speaker 1: being very sad. But I saw this other meme that
- 7:56Speaker 1: it was like everybody on Instagram is in Europe, like
- 8:00Speaker 1: flaunting around the beaches. My summer plans are watching Love
- 8:03Speaker 1: Island USA. And I was like, I really resonated with that.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I still don't get it.
- 8:08Speaker 5: Really, twenty six episodes, you don't get it.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I don't understand how it has taken off the way
- 8:17Speaker 4: it's taken off.
- 8:18Speaker 3: What this season is extraordinary?
- 8:21Speaker 4: So what really led led me to going on this
- 8:25Speaker 4: journey alone?
- 8:26Speaker 2: Might I say? Just me and Phoebe. Phoebe's probably so tired.
- 8:30Speaker 2: This voice in the world is that Chicks in the office.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Rhan fran Or got invited to go to Fiji for
- 8:37Speaker 4: the finale to like do a podcast and stuff there.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Oh yeah, And so Tanya was like this could be us,
- 8:43Speaker 4: and I'm like, yeah, except I have never watched the
- 8:45Speaker 4: show in my life, but I will do it for you.
- 8:48Speaker 4: And so that's what you know. I was like, I'm
- 8:50Speaker 4: I'm I'm a team player if anything.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah, So Riha and fran they are getting sent to
- 8:57Speaker 1: Fiji to be there for the finale. They get to
- 9:00Speaker 1: interview the winning couple and they get to interview Ariano
- 9:03Speaker 1: Mattox and they're gonna be on Aftersun, which is like
- 9:08Speaker 1: iconic for Love Island fans, and Peacock sent them the
- 9:13Speaker 1: water bottles. They like have these water bottles with their
- 9:15Speaker 1: names on them that are very like iconic, and they
- 9:18Speaker 1: sent them all this kind of Love Island swag.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I do feel like you should at least get a
- 9:22Speaker 2: swag bag.
- 9:23Speaker 3: No, thank you so much.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I felt a little left out of that as well
- 9:28Speaker 1: because I saw Nick bol got one as well.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, wow.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And I don't know if Nick Miles watched as many
- 9:34Speaker 1: seasons as I have. But that's neither here nor there.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Are they all still on the island?
- 9:38Speaker 3: Then, yes, it's all in real time so we're.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Watching, yes, yes, Okay, so this is a break and
- 9:46Speaker 1: come back because there's like a lot to unpack.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Have we even started the podcast?
- 9:49Speaker 4: We just started when okay, we're gonna put we'll put
- 9:53Speaker 4: a pin in that and do that at another tuble
- 9:56Speaker 4: we'll go in depth about Love Island.
- 9:57Speaker 2: But we just started the podcast this Thursday.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Yeah, what are you doing? Oh my gosh, Well you
- 10:03Speaker 1: can't really like throw me like that. I'm like just
- 10:05Speaker 1: getting into my like love, I know.
- 10:06Speaker 4: But we literally just started the podcast and had like
- 10:10Speaker 4: two seconds before you're trying to do a break.
- 10:12Speaker 6: We just heard thirty minutes of commercials before the show
- 10:15Speaker 6: start again.
- 10:16Speaker 1: No, I'm never the one to like break us, And
- 10:19Speaker 1: so I wanted to like bet today and I wanted.
- 10:23Speaker 3: To get it in.
- 10:24Speaker 2: That was brown noser behavior, pick me behavior.
- 10:30Speaker 4: I'm just kidding, but no, we don't need to take
- 10:32Speaker 4: a break yet, because if anything, people want longer podcast.
- 10:36Speaker 2: They're like, we could listen to you. I don't.
- 10:39Speaker 4: They were like the podcast used to be longer. I
- 10:41Speaker 4: feel like they cut it like forty minutes, and then
- 10:44Speaker 4: I think so, I think, yeah, I'm.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Saying that we're having similar amount of ads to talk ratio,
- 10:49Speaker 1: which is.
- 10:51Speaker 5: Speak to that. I add the commercial breaks. iHeart radio
- 10:56Speaker 5: has a rule on this and it hasn't changed. There's
- 10:58Speaker 5: two stop sets, that's what we call them in radio,
- 11:01Speaker 5: two commercial breaks.
- 11:02Speaker 3: But how long are those commercial breaks?
- 11:04Speaker 5: Well that I don't control.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Well that that's what they're saying. The length of commercial
- 11:08Speaker 1: is the same amount of time as we're spent talking,
- 11:11Speaker 1: which I.
- 11:11Speaker 5: Don't know about that. I just know that if it's
- 11:13Speaker 5: the show is fifty minutes or less, I put in two.
- 11:15Speaker 5: If it's more than fifty, I gotta put in three. Yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 5: And I never put in three regular ways. So I
- 11:20Speaker 5: don't think we were ever that long.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I think we used to. We definitely used to go
- 11:24Speaker 2: over an hour.
- 11:25Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure, do your thing.
- 11:27Speaker 1: But also as you put them in the you put
- 11:29Speaker 1: them now, So that's content. You put commercials in the
- 11:31Speaker 1: beginning of the podcast.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Well, that's that's standard. I don't control that either.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Well, sounds like you do. I like those to not
- 11:39Speaker 3: come first if you can move those.
- 11:41Speaker 5: I don't think we can move those right easty, No,
- 11:43Speaker 5: we can't, but maybe soon.
- 11:45Speaker 3: We got a meeting. We need to have a meeting.
- 11:47Speaker 5: We roll by the way.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Anyways, We see what y'all are saying.
- 11:52Speaker 4: We don't have control over everything, but we hear you
- 11:54Speaker 4: and what I do.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Think we wish had control of everything. That'd be scary, dangerous.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I don't know what they would get if that were
- 12:02Speaker 2: the case.
- 12:03Speaker 3: That's very true. A lot of boring love island talk.
- 12:06Speaker 5: That's for sure, I know.
- 12:07Speaker 2: But people are wanting the love island talk.
- 12:09Speaker 4: But we will get to that in a little while
- 12:11Speaker 4: because there's a lot to say. But as I was
- 12:14Speaker 4: saying before you tried to insert us into break early,
- 12:20Speaker 4: it's your birthday this week. I thought you're about to
- 12:24Speaker 4: hit it. I just thought you were doing it, so
- 12:29Speaker 4: I was giving space. What are your plans.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Hanging out with you? I know that, Okay, Okay, we already.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Waiting for like the Actually I booked a ticket early.
- 12:45Speaker 3: No, No, when are you going to visit her next week.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you have a whole.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Week, a whole more week, basically two weeks, so not
- 12:57Speaker 1: this week and then the next week.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Yeah, so to be like a solid three weeks again,
- 13:04Speaker 4: I know. And I'm doing great, honestly, thank you so much.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I'm honest.
- 13:10Speaker 4: I had a really and I think I talked about this,
- 13:13Speaker 4: but not like in too much stuff.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I had a really hard time last year when she
- 13:17Speaker 2: went on tour.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So it's funny you bring this up. Not funny because
- 13:20Speaker 1: you had a really hard time. But Robbie actually brought
- 13:23Speaker 1: it up to me the other day. He was like,
- 13:25Speaker 1: how is Becca doing this this time with Haley gone?
- 13:28Speaker 1: And I was like, I think she's been quite all
- 13:31Speaker 1: right actually, and he goes, yeah, it's it probably helps
- 13:35Speaker 1: that she's like in one place instead of like in
- 13:37Speaker 1: a different city every night dancing the night away.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, yeah, yeah, there are some things that have
- 13:42Speaker 4: definitely helped the situation correct.
- 13:45Speaker 3: But you're handling it, like i'd say, a hundred times better.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Oh my god, yeah, I feel totally different. I think
- 13:51Speaker 2: I was dealing with a lot of insecurities that like
- 13:53Speaker 2: I didn't even know it triggered something that brought it
- 13:56Speaker 2: up for me last year, and I we appreciate.
- 13:59Speaker 3: You saying that.
- 14:00Speaker 1: I think you come across as somebody that doesn't have insecurities.
- 14:04Speaker 2: What.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Yeah, don't you think.
- 14:07Speaker 5: Anyone you do come across as very confident.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yes, and very like yeah, and also like nothing really
- 14:13Speaker 1: rattles you like I don't bluzz Yeah, bluse is not
- 14:18Speaker 1: the right word, but very just.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Like, come at me. I'm good.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I think I I've always felt that way, but.
- 14:28Speaker 4: In my relationship, and I think there's some vulnerability there
- 14:31Speaker 4: because it's the first time it's something that feels so
- 14:35Speaker 4: like I've tried. I was trying so hard to hold
- 14:38Speaker 4: on tight to it because I thought like, for some reason,
- 14:40Speaker 4: maybe it could be taken for me for some reason
- 14:42Speaker 4: last year I felt that.
- 14:44Speaker 2: And I think it being.
- 14:46Speaker 4: My first serious relationship and being like my first love,
- 14:50Speaker 4: there was this like heaviness to it that I felt
- 14:52Speaker 4: so almost out of control about, which in any relationship,
- 14:56Speaker 4: once you recognize that you don't control your partner, you
- 14:59Speaker 4: don't want that.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it takes like so much weight off of you.
- 15:04Speaker 1: It's tough place to gain what to be out of,
- 15:07Speaker 1: not not in control yeah, yeah, no, I.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Think it's natural to want control of the situation. And
- 15:12Speaker 4: she is so amazing and when we would talk about
- 15:16Speaker 4: it in therapy, it was never about me not trusting
- 15:19Speaker 4: her what she would do, but it was like my
- 15:21Speaker 4: own I was like something was feeding my own insecurities
- 15:23Speaker 4: and I was in a spiral. And when I've realized
- 15:26Speaker 4: when you're in a spiral, no one can say anything
- 15:29Speaker 4: to get you out of a spiral.
- 15:30Speaker 3: No, no, no, you just go down.
- 15:32Speaker 2: You just you just go down. And then I'd come
- 15:35Speaker 2: out of it and be like that was wild. Sorry
- 15:38Speaker 2: about what I said and how I've paved that. Yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 2: And a lot of people have been asking how have
- 15:45Speaker 2: you been doing?
- 15:46Speaker 4: You know, I did hint at it last year, I
- 15:48Speaker 4: guess because people are like, I know, last year was hard,
- 15:50Speaker 4: So how are you doing. I'm doing I'm actually doing
- 15:54Speaker 4: so well, like I can say without faking it. Even
- 15:59Speaker 4: Haley the other night was like make sure because I
- 16:01Speaker 4: was like, I'm really missing you. I noticed, I noticed
- 16:03Speaker 4: I'm missing you, and just mundane things like we went
- 16:06Speaker 4: to Michael's party, Britney's husband, and like that's something we
- 16:10Speaker 4: normally do together, you know, and just like having her
- 16:13Speaker 4: with me for those types.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Of things like watching Love Island every night.
- 16:16Speaker 4: She would have no, I wouldn't have been able to
- 16:18Speaker 4: do that. She would have been so over.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Show ditched out this season on me too.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Actually, I was like he was kind of like, he
- 16:27Speaker 2: was kind of like, it's not that great. I'm good
- 16:29Speaker 2: into it. Helena too, Well.
- 16:31Speaker 3: That's a different story.
- 16:33Speaker 2: But yeah, So I was just telling her. I was like, yeah,
- 16:36Speaker 2: I'm really missing you.
- 16:37Speaker 4: I really felt it today and I like cried, but
- 16:39Speaker 4: I wasn't crying and like I was mad or I
- 16:40Speaker 4: was just like I miss you. And she's like, you know,
- 16:43Speaker 4: make sure you go out and are giving to yourself
- 16:45Speaker 4: and having fun. I'm like, no, no, no, I'm having a
- 16:47Speaker 4: great time.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I'm totally don't pay, don't get get your nails stuck,
- 16:57Speaker 1: like go.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Be in nature, like you know, plans with friends.
- 17:00Speaker 4: I think she's triggered from last year, so she's like
- 17:03Speaker 4: keep busy, and I'm.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Like, I promise you I'm good.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Is so funny.
- 17:08Speaker 6: I know you're sitting at home with a copy of Panorama,
- 17:10Speaker 6: just a single candle, just like.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Like listening to the breakup songs she wrote about me.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I didn't even know we were going to break up.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 17:20Speaker 4: So, yeah, it's been great, and I'm really proud of her,
- 17:24Speaker 4: and I'm proud of us for like really doing it
- 17:27Speaker 4: because we we had a lot of couples therapy time
- 17:31Speaker 4: leading up to it, just being like, it can't be
- 17:34Speaker 4: what it was last year. How do we you know, Yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 4: get through this and it'd be like a positive experience
- 17:39Speaker 4: for both of us.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I commend you, I really do, because I know going
- 17:43Speaker 1: into it you were hesitant because of everything from the past,
- 17:47Speaker 1: and you've really like you took what you learned, you
- 17:50Speaker 1: grew from it, and you're implementing those things into this
- 17:54Speaker 1: new time and it's proving to work.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been great. I'm I'm like I said, I'm
- 17:59Speaker 4: proud of us, and and we did put in.
- 18:01Speaker 1: The work to get here. Yeah, you know, that's that's
- 18:04Speaker 1: a little bit about us. So three weeks is a
- 18:06Speaker 1: long time.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Three weeks is a long time. So but when you
- 18:10Speaker 4: have the rest of your life, what's three weeks?
- 18:11Speaker 5: Oh wow, wow, wow, nicely.
- 18:16Speaker 3: She went there.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Anyways, Anyways, what are you doing for you?
- 18:24Speaker 3: What are we doing?
- 18:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Take the day off work, That's what I'm doing a Yeah,
- 18:29Speaker 3: oh that time.
- 18:30Speaker 5: In you'll be on the morning show.
- 18:32Speaker 1: But yeah, but and I am, I'm free, so you
- 18:36Speaker 1: don't have your meeting. No, okay today you do you
- 18:41Speaker 1: want to do a small day.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna do a spall day.
- 18:43Speaker 5: We're gonna do I mean, we'd love to come.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Massage guys.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Done.
- 18:54Speaker 4: All right, Well, I guess that will be in a
- 18:56Speaker 4: recap for next week's podcast, depending on what day we
- 19:00Speaker 4: do that.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Like, I'm kind of you know what, I realized because
- 19:03Speaker 1: even Robbie was like, why aren't you inviting your friends
- 19:05Speaker 1: to this thing? That because there's always there's this concert
- 19:08Speaker 1: that they do in this little grassy patches, like a
- 19:10Speaker 1: free concert that they have a different band each week
- 19:13Speaker 1: and it's every Thursday in like the courtyard.
- 19:15Speaker 3: That's very meaningful to us.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Where we got engaged, where we got engaged.
- 19:19Speaker 1: And we love going there because it's just like so cute,
- 19:22Speaker 1: fun vibes, picnic. So I was gonna do that and
- 19:24Speaker 1: just invite all my friends to come Thursday night to
- 19:26Speaker 1: this concert. But I'm like a lot of my friends
- 19:30Speaker 1: are out of town. The majority of my friends are
- 19:33Speaker 1: out of town. And and then I was like, I
- 19:36Speaker 1: don't really want to create a big fuss of this
- 19:38Speaker 1: because I'm going to be asking a lot of you
- 19:39Speaker 1: in the next year.
- 19:40Speaker 3: So I'm like, let's just.
- 19:42Speaker 2: That's very thoughtful.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Call it what it is, another day and we move on.
- 19:47Speaker 4: It's not another day. But I think you can celebrate
- 19:51Speaker 4: without it needing to I think people forget that you
- 19:54Speaker 4: can celebrate things and it doesn't need to be a
- 19:56Speaker 4: big hooplah.
- 19:57Speaker 2: I was gonna say hoopla.
- 20:00Speaker 3: It seems like a very Tanya word.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Honestly, it's giving hullabalu, but it's a word who was
- 20:09Speaker 1: an actual word?
- 20:10Speaker 2: Isn't hullabaloo?
- 20:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going made that up?
- 20:14Speaker 2: No, remember when I did that thing and I.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Was like me words, I thought it was a made
- 20:18Speaker 3: up word like faith word. Oh wow.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Anyway, anyway, it's gonna make what are your what's your
- 20:24Speaker 2: goal for year thirty seven?
- 20:26Speaker 1: So it's so funny because I was sick for the
- 20:28Speaker 1: past couple of days, I haven't really had, like my
- 20:31Speaker 1: Tanya time to really think over what I want to
- 20:33Speaker 1: leave behind in this last year. You did put in
- 20:38Speaker 1: perspective to me that this thirty seventh year of life
- 20:41Speaker 1: is the year that I'm going to marry the man
- 20:42Speaker 1: of my dreams.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Which is like your thirty eighth year of life mark,
- 20:47Speaker 5: you're turning thirty seven, meaning you're starting Oh.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry anyway, but yeah, which really was like crazy, Yeah,
- 20:57Speaker 1: that's crazy.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Well, I think there's so many times we always have
- 21:00Speaker 4: conversations about like the societal pressure of like what.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You should have done by a certain age and.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Yeah, and it sucks.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I feel like it's only a woman thing because like
- 21:09Speaker 1: especially there's the not the societal pressures, but also like
- 21:12Speaker 1: the genetic pressures or what scientific scientific pressure is on women,
- 21:17Speaker 1: and like also the societal pressures of like, you know,
- 21:22Speaker 1: we're getting older, are we relevant?
- 21:25Speaker 3: Are we cool? Everybody wants to be gen z? Like
- 21:28Speaker 3: should I be worried about my job? You know what
- 21:30Speaker 3: I mean?
- 21:30Speaker 1: Like all those things go through your head as you
- 21:32Speaker 1: get older as a woman, and it's like up honestly.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, no it is. But I do think that
- 21:39Speaker 4: both can exist. Like I think it's normal, it's human
- 21:42Speaker 4: to go like to have those thoughts, especially like as
- 21:46Speaker 4: we get another year older, especially as we're just naturally aging.
- 21:50Speaker 4: But I also think that being able to see the
- 21:53Speaker 4: bright spots and what a privilege it is to have
- 21:56Speaker 4: to have a year, to have something like marrying the
- 22:02Speaker 4: love of your life that's like happening at this time
- 22:05Speaker 4: in your life is so exciting, you know.
- 22:07Speaker 2: So it's all about perspective, Yeah, and also acknowledging the
- 22:10Speaker 2: feelings that you feel and being able to go like,
- 22:12Speaker 2: oh this sucks, but it is a weird feeling and
- 22:16Speaker 2: stop it.
- 22:17Speaker 1: It's such a weird I felt like I was having
- 22:19Speaker 1: that America Ferrera dialogue going on in my head Frobie
- 22:23Speaker 1: from Barbie. Yeah, where it's like as a woman, like,
- 22:26Speaker 1: you know, you want to embra like.
- 22:27Speaker 3: I do love. I feel like the older that I get.
- 22:29Speaker 1: The more confident I am in myself and the more
- 22:31Speaker 1: like excited I am about things, and the less I
- 22:35Speaker 1: care about stupid stuff, you know what I mean. So
- 22:37Speaker 1: it's like I do enjoy getting older in that perspective.
- 22:39Speaker 1: But then it is there is that element of like
- 22:42Speaker 1: I work in entertainment, and like there is this thing
- 22:45Speaker 1: as women get older, they get less and less desirable
- 22:48Speaker 1: and get shoved to, you know, somewhere else, and so
- 22:51Speaker 1: it's just like it's this really weird mix of emotions.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Yeah, it's funny you mentioned America for a bar because
- 22:58Speaker 5: just last night. And I don't want to say who
- 22:59Speaker 5: this is is because it's it's it's it's their business.
- 23:02Speaker 5: But my wife and I know someone who who who
- 23:05Speaker 5: filed for divorce from her husband after many years, and
- 23:09Speaker 5: when asked about that, because we kind of saw this coming,
- 23:11Speaker 5: she said, the turning point was the last thirty minutes
- 23:14Speaker 5: of the Barbie movie. Wow. She said that was that
- 23:17Speaker 5: was when she knew it was over because she was
- 23:19Speaker 5: tired of being disrespected.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Oh wow, that's so dark.
- 23:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Yeah, well I don't have that.
- 23:29Speaker 2: You don't have one that.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Everybody has.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Everybody has stuff going on in their lives, you know
- 23:37Speaker 1: what I mean. You reflect and I feel like I
- 23:39Speaker 1: reflect a lot around my birthday, but everybody has like
- 23:44Speaker 1: things going on and pressures and starting over again at
- 23:49Speaker 1: however whatever her age she is, and it's all just crazy.
- 23:54Speaker 4: I think that every every year that we get to
- 23:57Speaker 4: have and it's it's almost like you look back like
- 24:00Speaker 4: we'll never be.
- 24:01Speaker 2: This young again, you know.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Yeah, So I think that's also how to look at it,
- 24:05Speaker 4: is like this is as young as we're gonna be.
- 24:08Speaker 5: That's like perspective. When your birthday comes around, you're like,
- 24:10Speaker 5: oh god, I can't believe I'm this old. Well, you'll
- 24:12Speaker 5: never be this young again in ten years from No
- 24:14Speaker 5: wish it was that old. So you got to enjoy it.
- 24:16Speaker 5: I love it.
- 24:18Speaker 3: I know.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Now you guys are making me want to like throw
- 24:20Speaker 1: a big party because I'm like, I'm never gonna get
- 24:22Speaker 1: thirty seven back.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, let's throw a party then.
- 24:25Speaker 4: But we're gonna have a small day in like a
- 24:26Speaker 4: nice time so we can party.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna you're having a really big party next year.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Next year.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Yes, yes, a very big party.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Okay, the time has finally come for a break to
- 24:38Speaker 4: talk about Love Island. Oh wow, but we're gonna take
- 24:41Speaker 4: a break and we'll be right back.
- 24:43Speaker 3: How do you know that was?
- 24:59Speaker 2: The time has arrived.
- 25:03Speaker 4: We gave you a teaser at the beginning of the episode,
- 25:07Speaker 4: but it's time to get in depth.
- 25:08Speaker 2: It is of Love Island USA Season six.
- 25:12Speaker 4: And if you're someone listening and you're like, I don't care,
- 25:15Speaker 4: I hear you.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I understand you.
- 25:19Speaker 4: I know these conversations when you're not watching something said yes,
- 25:25Speaker 4: are like no, but it's it's you know, when you
- 25:28Speaker 4: spend I would say, twenty six hours of a week
- 25:33Speaker 4: watching a reality TV show.
- 25:36Speaker 2: You deserve an in depth conversation about So I.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Also, like I I watched this show on a daily basis.
- 25:46Speaker 1: It airs every day but hump Day, and I am
- 25:48Speaker 1: sad on Wednesday nights because I don't get my new episode.
- 25:53Speaker 3: That's how addicted I am.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Can you explain what it is about the show that
- 25:57Speaker 4: you're addicted to?
- 25:59Speaker 1: I wish I oh, like, I wish I knew.
- 26:02Speaker 3: But I first of all, I love love and I
- 26:06Speaker 3: like the kid.
- 26:10Speaker 2: No. None, Yeah, I gotta be ironic. What you have
- 26:14Speaker 2: to be being ironic?
- 26:16Speaker 3: No, but the show is based around finding love. Okay,
- 26:19Speaker 3: don't gauge this season.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Don't gauge this season on that because not this season
- 26:23Speaker 1: sucked for the love department.
- 26:26Speaker 3: There are couples that come out of it.
- 26:28Speaker 1: And what I like about it is that it's not
- 26:31Speaker 1: just one guy with like twenty five girls. One got
- 26:33Speaker 1: girl with twenty five guys. This is guys and girls
- 26:37Speaker 1: all being able to just date each other, be respectful
- 26:40Speaker 1: about it, go out with other people in front of
- 26:42Speaker 1: other people, respectful.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Well, okay, so.
- 26:47Speaker 1: This season of USA is outside of the norm. There
- 26:51Speaker 1: was a lot of drama, which I also found entertaining too,
- 26:55Speaker 1: But it's all the name of love.
- 26:56Speaker 6: What sets it apart from Bachelor in Paradise.
- 26:59Speaker 3: So I'm glad you are asked.
- 27:02Speaker 2: God Really.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, it's a hair trash here. I've always I've
- 27:10Speaker 3: always been like on.
- 27:11Speaker 1: My like high horse saying that, like the UK is
- 27:14Speaker 1: only what I will watch. I will never watch Love
- 27:16Speaker 1: Island USA. These people like are just it's trashy. I
- 27:20Speaker 1: don't like it. It's bad behavior, and because the UK ones
- 27:24Speaker 1: are very respectful and it's like it's a totally different show.
- 27:28Speaker 3: But I found myself caught up in it this season.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Everyone did, though, That's why I was like, I guess
- 27:34Speaker 4: this is a conversation that we need to have on
- 27:36Speaker 4: the podcast because.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Everyone wants me about Everybody that I follow on Instagram
- 27:40Speaker 1: is watching it and like watching it in real time,
- 27:43Speaker 1: like Carissa Stanton, Amanda Stanton, Alex Cooper, Victoria Garrick. Uh,
- 27:51Speaker 1: there's more you name it, you name it, They're watching it.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Friend Susie Susie Susie into it. I just like every
- 28:01Speaker 1: but Teddy Mellencam. I just feel as though everybody that
- 28:05Speaker 1: I follow is watching this season.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Uh huh. Who do you feel like you resonate with
- 28:12Speaker 2: the most on the show?
- 28:13Speaker 3: Kaylor?
- 28:16Speaker 2: Literally, Tanya would be.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Kaylor also would be if I were on Love Island.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Why do you say that?
- 28:23Speaker 1: Because she felt she fell hard, she stayed loyal and true.
- 28:27Speaker 1: He totally screwed her, and then she took him back.
- 28:29Speaker 1: She cried a hundred times, over and over and over again,
- 28:32Speaker 1: the same story, took him back every time. It's quite
- 28:36Speaker 1: sad that I feel like I resonate with her.
- 28:39Speaker 3: But I do.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I like the awareness.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, at least I'm aware of it.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I just Okay. So I texted Tania and I said,
- 28:49Speaker 4: what would you do if we went for the same
- 28:51Speaker 4: guy on Love Island? And she immediately said murder you,
- 28:55Speaker 4: which I thought was interesting.
- 28:57Speaker 3: And easy out for off. And then he's mine.
- 29:03Speaker 4: I'm assuming that you met if we weren't friends and
- 29:06Speaker 4: we just went in like as strangers.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 29:09Speaker 4: And then I was like, well, I thought we could
- 29:12Speaker 4: just have a conversation about it and just you know,
- 29:14Speaker 4: it would be up to him to make the decision
- 29:16Speaker 4: of who he wants to be with ultimately, and she said,
- 29:18Speaker 4: oh so obviously was joking. Would you still murder me
- 29:25Speaker 4: if that after I gave you that other option?
- 29:28Speaker 3: No, I obviously would be mature about it. Have a
- 29:31Speaker 3: conversation with.
- 29:32Speaker 1: The guy and with you, and like, then let's decide
- 29:34Speaker 1: who was the better connection. That's obviously what I would do.
- 29:37Speaker 1: But I was curious who you resonate with most within
- 29:40Speaker 1: the villa.
- 29:41Speaker 4: So as someone I would say before I met Haley,
- 29:44Speaker 4: I resonate with liv because she has no interest in
- 29:48Speaker 4: any of the guys, and she is very much a
- 29:51Speaker 4: girl's girl.
- 29:54Speaker 1: She is, if you know what I mean, she's a
- 29:55Speaker 1: girl's girl.
- 29:56Speaker 2: She is.
- 29:58Speaker 4: The girl wants to be there for the girls, no
- 30:00Speaker 4: interest in any of the guys, and they all have
- 30:02Speaker 4: picked her now.
- 30:03Speaker 3: She has had slight interest slight interest.
- 30:06Speaker 2: She hasn't been hurt one time when a guy has
- 30:09Speaker 2: gone That's what I'm saying.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Like she likes him for a minute, Like I think
- 30:13Speaker 1: she like robbed for like a day, team for like
- 30:15Speaker 1: a day.
- 30:15Speaker 2: I too, liked the attention, and then I was like, Okay, heybye,
- 30:19Speaker 2: too close, goodbye, ye go find someone else.
- 30:21Speaker 3: But she sticks up for all the girls. She's out there,
- 30:23Speaker 3: ye doing the moment.
- 30:24Speaker 4: That's why I was like, I could see that being
- 30:26Speaker 4: me pre Haley on the show post Hailey, Like, if
- 30:30Speaker 4: I met someone and had the connection with Haley, I
- 30:31Speaker 4: would be Serena.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Oh interesting.
- 30:36Speaker 1: So are you team Serena or team Cordell Serena, Okay,
- 30:39Speaker 1: so hot take. I've been teaming Cordell because from day
- 30:44Speaker 1: one he has been only interested in her, and she's
- 30:47Speaker 1: been twisting and trying to like not commit to him
- 30:50Speaker 1: and like trying other connections out, and he has been
- 30:53Speaker 1: faithful to her. So then they go to Cossa more
- 30:56Speaker 1: and this girl's showing him attention.
- 30:58Speaker 3: No, that's Serena. Never showed him.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, she did the night before he left. He finally
- 31:03Speaker 2: got what he wanted. It's news you lose.
- 31:05Speaker 4: No, no, no, because she would go and try and
- 31:07Speaker 4: find other connections, but she was never disrespectful to him.
- 31:10Speaker 4: She would go and have other conversations.
- 31:11Speaker 1: And I agree that he may not have done it
- 31:13Speaker 1: in the nicest of ways. It was a little like gross. Yeah, However,
- 31:17Speaker 1: I do feel like she toyed with him the majority
- 31:20Speaker 1: of the beginning of the see she was a.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Very normal person going into the show, being like I'm
- 31:24Speaker 2: not gonna literally hook up with you. The first few
- 31:28Speaker 2: nights we met. And I'm gonna take it slow, but
- 31:30Speaker 2: I like you and I want to try this.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Guy, and I'm gonna I'm gonna, I'm not gonna.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Stay loyal to you and I talk to them.
- 31:37Speaker 3: I didn't love it. I love as a Kailer. I
- 31:41Speaker 3: didn't like Kaylor.
- 31:42Speaker 4: You should be totally team Serena. No, yeah, because Cornell
- 31:46Speaker 4: did what Aaron did.
- 31:48Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no no. I think they're very different.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Aaron to me is for the birds. We can chop
- 31:57Speaker 1: them up and feed him to the birds.
- 31:58Speaker 2: He is.
- 32:01Speaker 3: And oh you know what I heard what I Live.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Was on another podcast and she said that we didn't
- 32:07Speaker 1: even see the worst of it.
- 32:08Speaker 2: What he did with Daniella.
- 32:10Speaker 3: I'm sure, really, I would feel like they would show
- 32:13Speaker 3: us that.
- 32:14Speaker 4: They're probably like, if we have, if there's any chance
- 32:16Speaker 4: of care, we gotta ease it up a little bit.
- 32:21Speaker 1: I've also heard, oh, okay, I also heard that Caine.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Oh you know, are you not caught up?
- 32:27Speaker 2: Yeah? I know who Kine is. Okay, well, he.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Is no longer great.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I heard that producers did not like him because he
- 32:34Speaker 1: was supposed to pick Live. They wanted to keep her
- 32:37Speaker 1: and I guess he didn't pick her, and so they
- 32:38Speaker 1: were like and they like somehow figured out how to
- 32:41Speaker 1: get him out.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Whoa yeah.
- 32:44Speaker 3: In the TikTok world. So I don't know how much
- 32:46Speaker 3: of this is true, but I love it.
- 32:47Speaker 4: I was zero invested in Kane, so right, My who
- 32:52Speaker 4: I would have gone for in another life.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Yeah, was Rob Oh And I don't get why.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Everyone hated it. He was so upfront. He I didn't
- 33:02Speaker 2: feel like he ever did anything like.
- 33:04Speaker 3: You know what I hated about him? Tell and when
- 33:05Speaker 3: he got on my list his overalls, No, I don't
- 33:09Speaker 3: care what you wear.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Wear whatever you want, he said. He got all hot
- 33:14Speaker 1: and bothered. When they sent Andrea his love home, they
- 33:17Speaker 1: were like, now you sent three people home instead of
- 33:20Speaker 1: two and made this whole stink about how he was
- 33:22Speaker 1: gonna leave with her, and he was so upset, and
- 33:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with my girl because I love her
- 33:27Speaker 1: and screw you guys for sending her home.
- 33:29Speaker 3: And then what does he do? I think I'm gonna
- 33:31Speaker 3: stay in the villa.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yeah, because I'm sure producers are like, you can't leave,
- 33:35Speaker 2: You'll regret this. And they had known each other for
- 33:37Speaker 2: three days.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Well, who cares if that's the love that he is.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I don't think his love.
- 33:42Speaker 4: I think he was like I really like her, and
- 33:44Speaker 4: I do think he really liked her. I thought it
- 33:45Speaker 4: was so messed up that they sent her home. I
- 33:48Speaker 4: was so mesd because I liked her me too, and
- 33:51Speaker 4: I liked them. I thought that I literally feel like.
- 33:53Speaker 1: They would have won, for they would have hundred percent,
- 33:55Speaker 1: and they would have known, they knew that they knew.
- 33:57Speaker 2: So I was like pissed, and that's why I started
- 34:00Speaker 2: I hate Leah.
- 34:00Speaker 3: That's when I was like, Leah, you're on my list.
- 34:02Speaker 4: See here's my feelings about the whole cast. I don't
- 34:05Speaker 4: love any of them, and I don't hate any of them.
- 34:07Speaker 3: I'm just like indifferent.
- 34:09Speaker 2: I don't relate to any of them.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Wait, that's such a bad place to.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Be, because I was telling I was talking.
- 34:14Speaker 3: About to Joo about that this is like worse than
- 34:16Speaker 3: love or hate.
- 34:17Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, and difference is the opposite of love.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Actually yeah, but.
- 34:21Speaker 4: It doesn't matter when it comes to this because I
- 34:23Speaker 4: don't care. I was telling Jojo because she was like,
- 34:26Speaker 4: hasn't gotten any more interesting? Because I was bored and
- 34:29Speaker 4: I was like, well, cow some more happens and that's
- 34:31Speaker 4: pretty dramatic. And I was like, but I realize I
- 34:35Speaker 4: have I don't relate to any of this because, first
- 34:37Speaker 4: of all, in my twenties when I was their age,
- 34:39Speaker 4: they're like young twenties, yeah, which blows my mind. I
- 34:43Speaker 4: was a virgin, so that was like, I can't relate
- 34:45Speaker 4: to any of them on just like going and having
- 34:47Speaker 4: this experience. Secondly, I'm dating a woman, so like I
- 34:51Speaker 4: have in my mind, I'm like, this is insane. They
- 34:54Speaker 4: kiss so aggressively, I'm like grossed out.
- 34:57Speaker 2: And third I'm thirty five. I'm like, I feel so
- 35:01Speaker 2: far removed from this that like there's no part of
- 35:03Speaker 2: me that connects to anyone.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Why do I connect to it so much?
- 35:06Speaker 2: Then? Because you see yourself in kaylor Well, Also you
- 35:12Speaker 2: love the show.
- 35:13Speaker 1: So you like see you know there is something that
- 35:16Speaker 1: I love about it.
- 35:17Speaker 3: It's like these people are in this warped word. They're
- 35:19Speaker 3: in a bubble.
- 35:20Speaker 1: They can't watch TV, they don't have any social media,
- 35:23Speaker 1: they can't do anything but just talk to each other
- 35:25Speaker 1: all day long.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Do you know how much that's my dream? It's like
- 35:27Speaker 3: summer camp.
- 35:28Speaker 1: They wake up, they get ready, they do all their makeup,
- 35:30Speaker 1: They chitchat all the girls, the guys make them breakfast.
- 35:33Speaker 1: They play these dumb challenges like it's so it's like
- 35:37Speaker 1: summer camp. It's like watching adults at summer camp.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, but all the challenges are like.
- 35:44Speaker 4: The most like teeth clashing, disgusting makeouts I've ever seen.
- 35:48Speaker 4: I literally was horrified the first makeout challenge.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Really well, after you kiss a girl watching this, you're like, wow,
- 35:55Speaker 2: it's so much better.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Really, Yes, I don't know.
- 36:01Speaker 2: That, but I find you too. You would probably be
- 36:03Speaker 2: an aggressive.
- 36:04Speaker 3: You haven't seen the heart rate challenge yet.
- 36:09Speaker 1: That's like basically like soft core porn, like soft television. Yeah,
- 36:16Speaker 1: it's pretty so like they do this challenge and you're
- 36:18Speaker 1: gonna a couple couple episodes away.
- 36:20Speaker 3: I watched it last night. Was so good.
- 36:22Speaker 1: But basically like all the guys sit down around the
- 36:24Speaker 1: fire pit and all the girls come out like different
- 36:27Speaker 1: whatever sexy outfits so they can be like a sexy
- 36:29Speaker 1: cat or like a sexy.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Nurse or whatever.
- 36:31Speaker 1: And the guys are wearing heart rate monitors and they
- 36:34Speaker 1: have to like grind on them and they get judged
- 36:37Speaker 1: on who which.
- 36:38Speaker 5: The women grind on each guy.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Each one at a time, and then they rehearse it
- 36:42Speaker 1: and the guys grind on each girl one at a time,
- 36:44Speaker 1: and they see who raises your heart rate the most,
- 36:47Speaker 1: and like, you hope it's your partner, Like you hope
- 36:49Speaker 1: it's like your couple that you're in, but it's like
- 36:51Speaker 1: really awkward if it's not. But like just so that
- 36:55Speaker 1: the things that people do to get their specific partner's
- 36:58Speaker 1: heart rate up because they want that, they like they
- 37:03Speaker 1: will like take them, throw them on the floor.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Like Janey was like, I don't even know how to
- 37:09Speaker 3: say it.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Like she was twerking on Kenny's face and her butt
- 37:12Speaker 1: was like clapping in.
- 37:13Speaker 3: The back and I was like, oh yeah.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Kendall threw in cold down and was like licking the
- 37:18Speaker 1: inside of her thighs all the way up. And I'm like,
- 37:20Speaker 1: this is literally soft porn, like if they were naked,
- 37:23Speaker 1: this will be porn. And it's on my television screen
- 37:26Speaker 1: right now and I'm loving.
- 37:27Speaker 6: Every So what episode this.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Episode thirty one than you are?
- 37:41Speaker 2: She's there, She's there so much time. I'll have to
- 37:43Speaker 2: see it through. But my god, am I ready for
- 37:46Speaker 2: it to be done?
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I had to say when they come back
- 37:50Speaker 1: from cost some More. To me, that was peak television.
- 37:53Speaker 1: That episode was one of the best reality TV shows
- 37:56Speaker 1: I've seen in my lifetime.
- 37:58Speaker 2: That episode when they came back.
- 38:00Speaker 1: When they came back, all of it was brilliantly done.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Like hats off to the team at Peacock. However, once
- 38:07Speaker 1: they come back and I will settle into their couples,
- 38:09Speaker 1: it starts. There's a couple episodes where it gets a
- 38:11Speaker 1: little boring. So I'm ready to like wrap this season up,
- 38:13Speaker 1: let's go. But are you rooting for I think there's
- 38:15Speaker 1: no couples that I there's really no couples except for
- 38:18Speaker 1: Kendall and Nicole.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Oh spoiler alert, spoiler alert, Well.
- 38:23Speaker 1: No, I mean Cordell and Serena, Janey and k Kenny, Taylor, Kayler,
- 38:29Speaker 1: Kaylor and Aaron and Leah and Miguel.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't really care. I don't care who wins.
- 38:37Speaker 2: That's what. So I was trying to figure out what
- 38:40Speaker 2: the point of this show was because I'm like, the
- 38:42Speaker 2: producers are messing with everyone so much that it doesn't
- 38:46Speaker 2: feel like they even want anyone to find love. You know.
- 38:48Speaker 2: It felt so chaotic.
- 38:50Speaker 4: But I do think from the game mentality, I could
- 38:52Speaker 4: go in and just like be totally shut off, but
- 38:56Speaker 4: like fake it till I make it.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Right, Like I want to win so bad that I'm
- 38:58Speaker 1: just going to get into a couple of America love me.
- 39:00Speaker 4: Yeah, And if he wants to go explore, I'm gonna
- 39:02Speaker 4: be so nonchalant that he'll be like, why doesn't she care?
- 39:06Speaker 2: And if he came back, I'd be like, I'm glad
- 39:07Speaker 2: you got to explore.
- 39:09Speaker 7: Wow.
- 39:09Speaker 4: I could do it in my prime when I was
- 39:13Speaker 4: early twenty years off, didn't know.
- 39:15Speaker 2: I was like interested in women. Yeah, could have aced it.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I could never do it. No, no, no, Cosa Moore
- 39:22Speaker 1: would wreck you probably chose to go to Kasa More.
- 39:27Speaker 3: He'd be a dead man. He would literally if he came.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Back, I'd be like, fine, if I saw that video
- 39:33Speaker 1: and like Tayler watching it over and over and over again,
- 39:37Speaker 1: like I've been her, Like I have done that.
- 39:39Speaker 2: You've watched the videos of something well, yeah or.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Not like in that Obviously it's a very unique situation,
- 39:44Speaker 1: but like when you're like when Robin and I were
- 39:46Speaker 1: broken up, I would analyze every single thing he posted.
- 39:48Speaker 1: I'd like screenshot and like zooming, like where is he
- 39:51Speaker 1: Like what part of town is this whose license play
- 39:53Speaker 1: is in front of his house.
- 39:54Speaker 2: So scary to admit publicly digital footprint.
- 40:00Speaker 4: The thing that really really upset me was how different
- 40:06Speaker 4: of a level of.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Just physical, physical beauty.
- 40:11Speaker 4: The guys they brought into the girl's house versus the
- 40:14Speaker 4: girls they brought into the guys that you guys they
- 40:16Speaker 4: brought in ten, like ten out of ten every single
- 40:19Speaker 4: girl that they brought for the guys.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Girls that came in.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Models, and then the guys they brought in were like.
- 40:29Speaker 4: And like one thing, See, my thing is like, okay,
- 40:32Speaker 4: if someone maybe they're not like oh my gosh, they're
- 40:34Speaker 4: so hot, but they have like funny banter and the
- 40:37Speaker 4: conversation's good and there's chemistry.
- 40:39Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't even care.
- 40:40Speaker 3: They were duds literally, so were.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Like stunning and like cute and it's sweety.
- 40:47Speaker 2: I was like this they set them up for so
- 40:49Speaker 2: much failure.
- 40:50Speaker 3: I agree.
- 40:51Speaker 1: There was something weird in the water with the like
- 40:53Speaker 1: there was something set up there.
- 40:55Speaker 2: They were one of the girls.
- 40:57Speaker 1: They didn't want the girls to stray, They wanted the
- 41:00Speaker 1: eyes to stray, like there was something weird there. It's
- 41:02Speaker 1: never been like that, like normally it's just like it's equal.
- 41:05Speaker 3: It's equal.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it was wild, it was very weird. But this
- 41:09Speaker 1: is all happening in real time. So like these people
- 41:12Speaker 1: right now are in Fiji living in this bubble, and
- 41:15Speaker 1: we're all having these crazy conversations online, like on TikTok
- 41:20Speaker 1: and stuff, and they're gonna come out and be like,
- 41:22Speaker 1: what the hell.
- 41:24Speaker 2: It's so crazy to editing it and getting it up
- 41:27Speaker 2: that tonight.
- 41:27Speaker 1: That's a great question that I would love answered. If
- 41:30Speaker 1: anybody that listens to us works on the show or
- 41:32Speaker 1: behind the scenes, I would love to know, Like I know, Ian,
- 41:36Speaker 1: the guy who voiceovers the show, voices it at like
- 41:39Speaker 1: nine pm, I think the night before.
- 41:41Speaker 4: I would also like to admit because I really had
- 41:43Speaker 4: a hard time with him when I tried to watch
- 41:44Speaker 4: the show before.
- 41:46Speaker 2: He made me laugh out loud a lot.
- 41:48Speaker 3: He's very funny.
- 41:49Speaker 2: He's very funny.
- 41:49Speaker 3: He's very funny.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Apologies for my hot take on him.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Yeah it's okay, we accept your apology.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Thank you as a United Love Island front, but I'm
- 41:59Speaker 1: so curious as to how they I also started following
- 42:04Speaker 1: this girl who's she's a reality TV producer. She doesn't
- 42:07Speaker 1: say what she used to produce for. But she kind
- 42:09Speaker 1: of gives like a behind the scenes of Love Island
- 42:11Speaker 1: as like a producer, huh. And she's been giving some
- 42:14Speaker 1: like insight of like the whole Daniella thing. She basically
- 42:20Speaker 1: was like once Aaron and Daniella, once they realized that
- 42:24Speaker 1: Aaron was like not gonna bring Daniella back, they wanted
- 42:27Speaker 1: to get her back to the to the villa so
- 42:29Speaker 1: bad that they were probably in Aaron's ear like, oh,
- 42:33Speaker 1: ask Rob to take her, and like in Rob's ear, oh,
- 42:35Speaker 1: you should look at Daniella to.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Say on the show you should.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, because they wanted they knew that they
- 42:42Speaker 1: needed to get Daniella in the villa, and so they
- 42:44Speaker 1: were just trying to like figure out how Wow, I know.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Yeah, producers are genius. I mean it's crazy. Yeah, what
- 42:51Speaker 4: they can do?
- 42:52Speaker 5: Can we end this now or what do you guys think?
- 42:56Speaker 4: I don't really have anything left to add, but there's
- 42:59Speaker 4: still we have no next week, so.
- 43:00Speaker 3: It's over on Sunday.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but Monday we have we'll have a conversation about it.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Oh right right right right right, yay, So we'll be.
- 43:07Speaker 4: Back with more, So stay tuned and we'll be right
- 43:10Speaker 4: back for this podcast.
- 43:12Speaker 7: Oh my god, every party has a poopa. That's what
- 43:29Speaker 7: we invited you, mom.
- 43:33Speaker 5: It seemed like an adequate amount of time, and in fact,
- 43:35Speaker 5: i'm looking back at it, it took like about twenty
- 43:38Speaker 5: straight minutes of Love Island.
- 43:39Speaker 3: I tell you, I have.
- 43:42Speaker 2: To tell you.
- 43:42Speaker 1: So Robbie bailed on this season. He was just like,
- 43:44Speaker 1: I can't with these people, like I'm out, and so
- 43:48Speaker 1: he stopped watching. And then when I got to call
- 43:50Speaker 1: some more, guess who can crawling back begging.
- 43:53Speaker 4: I don't blame him though that if I if someone
- 43:55Speaker 4: had been like, hey, start at episode eleven or twelve,
- 43:58Speaker 4: whatever that was, I would have been so happy or
- 44:01Speaker 4: really honestly, when Andrea came in, whatever episode that was,
- 44:03Speaker 4: that's when it got like picture. So it was like
- 44:06Speaker 4: seven episodes of just like what are we doing?
- 44:10Speaker 3: But you were asking them wrong, girl, because I love
- 44:12Speaker 3: it all, I know.
- 44:13Speaker 6: I was very entertained watching you talk about it was
- 44:15Speaker 6: like watching a stallion that had been fenced up for
- 44:17Speaker 6: months being able to run free. That was like, sincerely,
- 44:21Speaker 6: very exciting to watch.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I actually got a lot of d ms from Scrubbers
- 44:25Speaker 1: that said that they've started the season because I have
- 44:28Speaker 1: all my Instagram stories and they asked.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Me to make a highlight so that they could watch them.
- 44:32Speaker 6: Back as they.
- 44:36Speaker 4: I put when I posted the screenshot of you saying
- 44:39Speaker 4: you'd murder me, Robbie goes.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Tanya would be that she'd be a disaster on the
- 44:45Speaker 2: show Disaster.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Disaster.
- 44:51Speaker 2: All right, Well, we'll be back next week with more.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Don't worry about us.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Well no, but with the love because we're not gonna
- 44:58Speaker 1: talk about Love Island on Thursday because we need.
- 45:01Speaker 2: To give Unless it's a Dear Bonya question.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Nobody wants a break from Levi Isolin.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Everyone does that. Doesn't watch that show, you have to understand.
- 45:10Speaker 4: Well, speaking of Dear Bonya, there was a follow up question.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Mark, do you wanna do you wanna sure handle that?
- 45:19Speaker 5: Here comes? Are you ready for a follow up question?
- 45:21Speaker 5: Because I'm gonna read it to you right now. On
- 45:23Speaker 5: last week's Dear Bonia episode of Scobber asked if she
- 45:26Speaker 5: should stop trying to conceive so she can attend her
- 45:29Speaker 5: best friend's wedding. Remember I remember this.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Yeah, we got a lot of feedback.
- 45:34Speaker 3: I said, go for it.
- 45:35Speaker 5: Some of you said stop Scrubber Sierra said in the
- 45:38Speaker 5: Facebook group that she wants a follow up question ask
- 45:40Speaker 5: and this is a very astute question, Sierra, Tanya, if
- 45:44Speaker 5: Becca were getting married nine months after your wedding, would
- 45:49Speaker 5: you hold off on getting pregnant right after you get married?
- 45:52Speaker 3: Yeah? Wait, if Becca was good, if you were getting
- 45:56Speaker 3: married nine months after my wedding, okay, yeah.
- 45:59Speaker 4: So there was a lot of scuttle about this in
- 46:01Speaker 4: the Facebook group, and a lot of people who have
- 46:04Speaker 4: been through the process or know someone closely who has
- 46:06Speaker 4: gone through the process of trying to conceive and have
- 46:09Speaker 4: had a hard time. It came across that we were
- 46:12Speaker 4: very you and I were very like insensitive to that
- 46:14Speaker 4: the struggle of trying to conceive. And then they're like,
- 46:17Speaker 4: we appreciate Mark's answer, which I totally understand by Here's
- 46:22Speaker 4: what I commented back, because I was like, this is
- 46:26Speaker 4: this is one of those things where and we announced
- 46:28Speaker 4: this at the beginning of the episode where like, we're
- 46:30Speaker 4: not professionals, we only give our opinions, Like it's really
- 46:34Speaker 4: you know, we're just.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Giving what we would do in our lives.
- 46:38Speaker 4: You're planning a wedding, so what's most important in your mind,
- 46:41Speaker 4: Like what could be more important than your best friend
- 46:44Speaker 4: being at your wedding.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Well. And also I've never tried to conceive, Yes, I've
- 46:48Speaker 1: I was going to spend my life not trying to conceive,
- 46:52Speaker 1: So that's my perspective. And I also think, yes, I do.
- 46:57Speaker 1: At the minute we get married, we're gonna start trying.
- 46:59Speaker 1: That's the plan. But I still think that if you
- 47:02Speaker 1: were getting married nine months from my wedding, I think
- 47:05Speaker 1: I would wait.
- 47:06Speaker 3: I don't.
- 47:07Speaker 1: I would like not like I'm gonna wait till your wedding,
- 47:11Speaker 1: but right, I don't want to. I wouldn't want to
- 47:13Speaker 1: miss your wedding, right.
- 47:14Speaker 4: I think I would be if if I knew that
- 47:17Speaker 4: you were trying to have a baby, and let's say
- 47:19Speaker 4: you were having a hard time and you you were like,
- 47:21Speaker 4: this is what all I can think about right now,
- 47:24Speaker 4: and I was having a wedding, I would say, like,
- 47:26Speaker 4: do what.
- 47:27Speaker 2: You need to do.
- 47:28Speaker 4: And I totally believe that things fall into place how
- 47:31Speaker 4: they're supposed to fall into place, Like I really don't
- 47:33Speaker 4: put like I don't think we have as much control
- 47:36Speaker 4: as we think we have over things. I think we
- 47:38Speaker 4: can do our best and put in effort and time,
- 47:40Speaker 4: But I think I didn't want to come across instancive.
- 47:43Speaker 4: I just think it's our perspectives because neither of us
- 47:45Speaker 4: have tried having I'm couldn't be further from trying to
- 47:49Speaker 4: have a baby.
- 47:50Speaker 1: But also I think too, it's different. I think it's
- 47:52Speaker 1: different because I even had the conversation with Robbie. I
- 47:54Speaker 1: was like, I think a lot of my friends, at
- 47:56Speaker 1: least a couple of my friends that were inviting, are
- 47:58Speaker 1: trying to have babies very soon. So there is a
- 48:02Speaker 1: possibility that like a good chunk of my friends won't
- 48:04Speaker 1: come to the wedding because they'll be too close to
- 48:06Speaker 1: their du date or whatever. And I don't hold that
- 48:08Speaker 1: against them at all, nor would I. I like, there's
- 48:12Speaker 1: zero resentment, like when I say zero negative, like I
- 48:16Speaker 1: truly would never But I think it's different when you
- 48:18Speaker 1: think about your best friend.
- 48:20Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think you want them to be there,
- 48:22Speaker 4: And it can be both things where you're like, I
- 48:24Speaker 4: really want you to be at my wedding and I
- 48:25Speaker 4: really want you to have a baby if that's what
- 48:27Speaker 4: you're desiring, and it's been hard, right, So your answer
- 48:31Speaker 4: is you would you would in your time of your
- 48:33Speaker 4: life right now, you would hold off.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Yeah, if you were exactly nine months after my wedding,
- 48:38Speaker 1: I would probably hold off a couple months and then
- 48:41Speaker 1: go from there. Yeah, because the thing with fertility that's
- 48:44Speaker 1: so interesting is like you can't Like I was telling Beca,
- 48:47Speaker 1: I'm doing all these tests, I'm doing this test, and
- 48:49Speaker 1: then I'm a test for this and test for this,
- 48:51Speaker 1: and it's like, you can't really know unless you start trying.
- 48:55Speaker 1: That's the tricky part with fertility. So it's like I
- 48:57Speaker 1: can do all these test tests, but you don't know
- 49:01Speaker 1: until you start trying.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, that's why.
- 49:03Speaker 4: And I think that was their point, is like how
- 49:06Speaker 4: can they give an answer on their response on this
- 49:08Speaker 4: without knowing how challenging and heartbreaking it can be to
- 49:12Speaker 4: be trying to conceive and not having success.
- 49:14Speaker 2: But we don't know.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I know, and I think obviously, if you're emailing us,
- 49:18Speaker 1: you know enough that you know that I am without child, and.
- 49:22Speaker 2: I too, am a child.
- 49:25Speaker 3: So that's our perspective on it.
- 49:28Speaker 2: So with that being said, there will be a new dear.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Bodyes now, I'm gonna be stressed with my answer that
- 49:34Speaker 1: it'll be stressed.
- 49:35Speaker 4: I was just explaining, like we can always do better
- 49:37Speaker 4: and be better and be more aware of other perspectives,
- 49:39Speaker 4: but also like we answer from our perspectives because that's
- 49:43Speaker 4: what the podcast is, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 49:47Speaker 4: but we never I mean, I think if you know
- 49:49Speaker 4: all of us, we're never trying to be insensitive to anybody.
- 49:52Speaker 4: I think we try very hard to not be insensitive
- 49:55Speaker 4: to anybody on this podcast. Definitely, And we love y'all
- 49:59Speaker 4: so much, and we'll be back Thursday.
- 50:02Speaker 2: Let me byem
- 50:11Speaker 5: M HM
