  when my spirit was gladdened, I really was excited because

  then it confirmed to me that God was doing something phenomenal,

  not just across the body of Christ, but even in

  this church. And we had a brief talk with Reveen
• 1:28
  Sam at his office before coming here and I said,

  I'm excited because God is restoring the body of Christ
• 1:37
  through the foundational pillers that really make for an effective
• 1:41
  Christian life. And we did observe in our discussion that
• 1:45
  whilst you know, balance was attempted to you know, we're
• 1:51
  attempting to bring balance to you know, exorscisms in and
• 1:56
  around the subject of grace, probably a lot of people
• 2:00
  tilted to the other side of the pendulum, and then
• 2:05
  it brought another kind of problem where believers became weak
• 2:08
  and powerless. And I thank God for topics like this

  because it's restoring that order to the body of Christ.

  a two part series. I'll start tonight and then we

  help us in Jesus' name. So part one of the

  way I'll be teaching on the theology of life, the

  theology of life, Praise the name of the Lord, the

  theology of life. Now, when you study systematic theology, there it.

  Speaker 2: Comes from the word theos. Theos means.

  Speaker 1: God generally, and then it talks about the study of

  God broadly speaking. And there are many classifications and many.

  Speaker 1: When you study theology, there is what we call zorteiology,

  theology itself from the word theos, the study of the
• 3:47
  triune nature of God. Are we together? Then we have

  what we call sorteriology, the study of salvation. It discusses

  the entire span of salvation. We have what we call demonology,
• 3:59
  the study of Sytan. We have anthropology, the study of man,
• 4:04
  not from a biological standpoint. Man, Are we together now?

  As God's creation? We have Christology christology. We have nomatology.
• 4:16
  We have ecclesiology, the study of the Church. Are we together?
• 4:20
  Then we have eschatology, the study of the end times
• 4:25
  and prophecies. Now I'm not just playing around with theological terms.
• 4:29
  Is to help you understand that your knowledge must be
• 4:32
  wholesome for you to be victorious. Are we together? Now,
• 4:38
  you're not giving the liberty to select an aspect based
• 4:41
  on how pleasantities. You will have to embrace all of
• 4:44
  these dimensions to get the complete picture. And so classically speaking,
• 4:51
  the whole subject of Zoway can come under three of
• 4:56
  these departments, so tooriology, christology, pneumatology. These three together have
• 5:03
  expressed within them this topic we're considering. But then we're
• 5:09
  looking at the theology of life. And the goal is
• 5:12
  to help us understand the entire discourse of this subject
• 5:18
  of the life of God. And I'm not just coming
• 5:20
  here as a lecturer.
• 5:21
  Speaker 2: This is just a background. Are we together?

  Speaker 1: The intent is for us to have a thorough understanding
• 5:28
  about this life that we have been given. Your stability
• 5:32
  in the kingdom is predicated upon the depth of your knowledge.

  The depth of your knowledge, the deeper your knowledge, the
• 5:40
  more stable you are. I think believe us are confusion
• 5:44
  most times in spiritual things comes from the fact that
• 5:47
  we're not in complete ignorance, but our knowledge is not
• 5:50
  deep enough to the point of persuasion.

  Speaker 1: We hear, we can tild to either sides of the pendulum.

  But knowledge and conferences like this brings us to a

  point of persuasion and stability.

  in prophecy, about the life of Jesus and his earthwork,

  the theological starting point is the Gospels, and there are

  four of them, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And the
• 6:29
  writings of the Gospel, as well as all of the epistles,
• 6:33
  were based on what we call eyewitness accounts. Are we together?
• 6:37
  That means the people wrote as they were inspired, but
• 6:40
  they wrote as they saw. So Matthew had his version, Mark,
• 6:45
  look and John, and you would notice that the Book
• 6:49
  of Matthew starts into the.
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: World verse ten. He was in the world, he the world,
• 6:56
  He the possessor of life, he the light of the world.

  Speaker 1: Away together now, he says, and the world was made
• 7:04
  by him.

  He came to his own. He was not just in

  the world.

  Speaker 1: He attempted to come to his own by natural dissent,

  and his own received him. Not then, the Bible says,

  but as many, not everyone will care to receive him.

  he gave power to become, power to become the sons

  of God, even to them that believe on his name.

  Now my teaching begins.

  Speaker 1: Which way stop? Stop? Stop? Which were born? He's telling

  us how they became. He's saying that everyone who received

  Speaker 2: But that the technology of that becoming is that they

  were born.

  they heard. He's saying, every birth, even though they were adults,

  it didn't matter what state they became by being born.

  But unlike their former birth, or their previous or their

  first birth, they were not born of blood, nor of
• 8:23
  the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man,
• 8:28
  but of God.

  Speaker 1: Right here, John the Apostle begins to show us that
• 8:37
  from a spiritual standpoint, there are two kinds of birth,
• 8:42
  and that everyone who must be in Christ must experience both.

  Speaker 1: That the condition to experience the second is that you
• 8:52
  must at least have the first. This is the reason
• 8:54
  why salvation is not for angels. Are we together now?

  Are we still together?

  Speaker 1: The Bible shows us here that you can be born
• 9:11
  of blood, You can be born of the.

  Speaker 1: He contrasted against this other dimension that he calls being

  born of God. So very quickly for you to understand
• 9:26
  that there are two kinds of birth. Number one we
• 9:30
  call it physical or natural or biological birth.

  Speaker 2: Are we together? And the other is called.

  Speaker 1: Eery birth or a spiritual birth? What the Bible calls
• 9:40
  being born again? Are we learning now? Nico Dimos, in
• 9:47
  John chapter three, comes to Jesus, and from verse one

  he begins to engage Jesus in a very interesting discussion,
• 9:57
  the discussion that will later evolve to John three six.

  That entire text was a discussion between Nicodemos, the phariseee,
• 10:07
  the doctor of the law, and Jesus. So the Bible
• 10:10
  calls him a ruler of the Jews. Verse two, he
• 10:13
  says that he came to Jesus by night, and he said, Rabbi,
• 10:17
  we know that dou at a teacher come from God.
• 10:20
  He says, for no man can do these miracles which
• 10:23
  thou do it.
• 10:24
  Speaker 2: Accept God be with him. Please be patient and follow

  these three.

  Speaker 1: Jesus now says, verily, very li, I say on to

  you accept a man, be here you go. Jesus is

  using that term again, remember John used it. Now Jesus

  is saying, accept a man be born again. He was

  talking to an intelligent man, a doctor.

  Speaker 2: Of the law, one who is learned already.

  Speaker 1: He had the Torah, he had the Pentetoge, he understood
• 10:50
  the prophecies. And he said, accept a man be born again.

  He cannot see the Kingdom of God. And Nicodemos said,

  how can a man be born when he's old? So

  nico Dimos is saying, every man already has the natural birth.

  That's why he was here in the first place. And
• 11:09
  now you are introducing another kind of birth. There's no
• 11:12
  possibility scientifically or otherwise of shrinking back to become a
• 11:16
  seed and then to start again. So Jesus explained for
• 11:20
  me what you are saying. Are we together now? He says,
• 11:23
  can he enter into his mother's womb and be born?
• 11:27
  Verse five, reading to seven. Jesus answered and said, verily, verily,
• 11:31
  I say unto you. Except a man be born of
• 11:34
  water and of the spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom
• 11:37
  of God. Verse six, he said, that which is born
• 11:39
  of flesh, there you go.

  Speaker 2: So there is that which is born of flesh.

  Speaker 1: He's saying, the result is flesh, But that which is
• 11:48
  born of spirit is spirit. In fact, we can stop there,

  marvel not that I say onto you Verse seven, He

  must be born again. Now I want to contrast these

  two kinds of birth, and please you need to understand this.

  Speaker 2: It is the foundation for your excelling.

  Speaker 1: If you get this wrong, your entire faith journey will
• 12:11
  be wrong, because everything you will believe eventually in your
• 12:16
  faith adventure will be dependent on the correctness or otherwise.

  Speaker 1: The Bible tells us that there are two kinds of birth.

  Are we still together? The natural or biological birth and
• 12:32
  the spiritual birth.

  Speaker 2: Let me tell you a few differences. Number one.

  Speaker 1: That in natural or biological birth, your will.
• 12:43
  Speaker 2: Was not part of that equation. Are we together now?

  Speaker 1: You were not given the liberty to choose whether or

  not you wanted to come.

  Speaker 2: In natural birth, the will of the person who is

  born does not contribute to his or her arrival.

  Speaker 1: Are we learning now? It takes your parents agreeing together

  or at least participating even if they do not agree.

  There is a participation of a man and a woman,
• 13:13
  preferably parents, and sometimes otherwise. That guarantees the arrival of

  any individual. Are we together? So the will of the
• 13:21
  person who arrives is not there. You are not giving
• 13:23
  a chance to decide. Number two. In natural or biological birth,
• 13:30
  one person cannot bring it about. It will have to
• 13:34
  take the union of a man and a woman, either
• 13:38
  by agreement or by participation. Do you understand what I
• 13:41
  just said, prays the name of the Lord. Yes. So

  when the angel came to Mary, and Mary said, how
• 13:50
  shall these things be? You are talking about my getting pregnant,
• 13:54
  but I do not yet know a man. The law

  is that it has to be the union between a
• 13:59
  man and a woman to have natural birth.

  Speaker 1: Natural birth requires time nymons medically speaking, So from conception

  to delivery, under normal medical circumstances, it will take ninemons.

  Speaker 1: Now, let's contrast it with this spiritual birth. The natural

  birth requires the cooperation and the permission of the parents,
• 14:26
  without the active participation of the will of the baby
• 14:30
  or the person who comes. And yet in spiritual birth,

  the decision of your parents or.
• 14:36
  Speaker 2: Otherwise does not have to play a role. It is

  your will.

  act of my will, not necessarily by my parents or

  Who is following is over, and then spiritual birth happens instantly.

  The manifestation of the life you have received is according

  to the knowledge that is establishing you. But that reality

  of translation happens immediately. It does not wait for nine months.

  Speaker 2: There's no conception period, there's no gestation period. Who is

  understanding this?

  Speaker 1: Now that the Bible says, whosoever calls upon the name

  of the Lord shall be saved immediately, not later, not

  at the end of the year. If a woman gets
• 15:41
  pregnant January, we're expecting the baby September.

  Speaker 2: But if a believer confesses.

  Speaker 1: Christ right now at that point and that instands, eternal
• 15:49
  life becomes his inheritance. Are we following now? So there

  is a difference between the natural birth. Let me add

  one for you. Natural but as a validity period. It

  is called your life time. So from the time an
• 16:08
  individual is born, ah, at least as much as we know,
• 16:14
  we have not perfected living forever. By the cause of time,

  his natural strength becomes abated.

  Speaker 2: We call it old age. Are we together?

  Speaker 1: And in our world today it's even something worth celebrating.

  You are ninety years regardless whether the man is on

  a wheelchair, whether he's rinkled, weather he's old. You salute

  him for living that long. But eventually the person passes

  on to glory. But this life we have received, there
• 16:40
  is a reason why it is called eternal. Who is
• 16:46
  learning now? You have to know the difference so that
• 16:49
  you will appreciate what you have now received. Please be seated.

  So the Bible tells us that anyone at all who
• 16:58
  will receive of this life must be born. In fact,
• 17:02
  being born is the only way to have life.

  Speaker 2: You cannot.

  Speaker 1: The official gateway to accessing any kind of life, like
• 17:16
  you'll be learning, is being born.

  Speaker 2: For you to be alive, you must be born. Are

  we learning now?

  Speaker 1: I'm being as elementary as possible, hoping that we'll be
• 17:26
  able to understand this before I begin to discuss a

  few other things. So spiritual birth or rebirth has to
• 17:33
  do with your spirit, man, but natural birth has to
• 17:38
  do with your arrival here by natural descent. This is
• 17:42
  very important, And I said, the difference is that the
• 17:45
  will or the desire of the individual does not play
• 17:49
  any role in natural birth, whereas spiritually speaking your will,
• 17:54
  he say, if you will, how does he put it?

  an individual as an act of your will, that is

  qualities it must exhibit. Away together, we call it, generically speaking, life,

  the summation of all the qualities that differentiates animals and

  plans from dead things. Now listen, Any entity is alife

  to the degree that it manifests Listen before you write,

  any entity at all is alive to the degree that
• 20:05
  it manifests the quality of responsiveness, growth, metabolism, energy, transformation,
• 20:16
  and reproduction. Any entity that cannot manifest these qualities is
• 20:21
  called dead. When an individual dies, the reason why you
• 20:25
  confirm that he or she is dead is because all
• 20:28
  the qualities that make for life become absent immediately. No respiration,
• 20:33
  no growth, are we together. Metabolism is not a possibility.

  He cannot respond to nerve, impulses again, and the doctors
• 20:40
  will declare that person dead. He is not good enough
• 20:44
  as far as any other thing is concerned. Except it
• 20:47
  doesn't matter if it was a professor that died, whether
• 20:50
  an engineer that died, whether a pastor that died. Once
• 20:53
  it is a dead body, it serves no purpose in
• 20:56
  this life again except to be buried in honor.

  Speaker 2: Are we to get so when we talk about.

  Speaker 1: Life, to be a life means to manifest, not just

  to possess, to manifest the qualities of number one. You

  can write now responsiveness. Anybody who is a life must respond.

  answer me, I cannot say you are dead, not physically,

  not biologically. You are manifesting qualities of responsiveness. You love

  you cry? Are we together now? And then qualities of growth.

  Anything that is a life should normally grow. Qualities of metabolism.

  I don't want to bore you with biochemistry, but you
• 21:39
  know what metabolism is. Are we together? The entire chemical
• 21:43
  process that turns food or into energy, and also growth
• 21:49
  in any organism is called metabolism.

  Speaker 2: Now, all life comes from God.

  Speaker 1: All all. There are different qualities of life, but just

  for your information that if you ever find anybody or

  anything alive, that quality came from God. John chapter one

  we learning already? Who is following? All things were made

  by Him? How many things?

  at all? Colosians Chapter one and verse sixteen. I'm establishing

  didn't say all life forms.

  visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, dominions, principalities, powers,

  all things were created by Him and for Him. Do

  you understand me so far? So all life comes from God.

  Now let's begin to delve into some other things. According

  to scripture, there are essentially.

  Speaker 2: Three kinds or three forms of life. Please write it down.

  Speaker 1: According to scripture, the teachings of Scripture, we identify three

  kinds of life, and they're all captured in three Greek
• 23:37
  words that I want to bring very quickly.

  Speaker 2: Number one is called bios bios.

  Speaker 1: This is the first kind and the first level of life.

  This is physical life. Are we learning now? So we
• 23:50
  talk about bios physical life. Number two is called suke.

  I'm sure that within this conference it's possible that you've

  played around with these words suke solical life. You find

  an example of bios in look chapter eight and verse fourteen.

  Look chapter eight and verse fourteen. The Bible says that

  which fell among thrones are they which, when they have
• 24:18
  heard the world, they go forth and they are choked.

  And it says the cares and the pleasures of this life,
• 24:26
  the word life. There is bios, this physical life, this
• 24:32
  sojourn upon the earth.

  Speaker 1: And then they bring forth no fruit, onto perfection. So

  it essentially talks about the physical life, the kind of
• 24:41
  life that is present in men and even in animals.

  Speaker 2: Number two is suke. It's a solical life.

  Speaker 1: It has to do it being a life psychologically and
• 24:51
  being conscious of your environment. So this deals with your
• 24:56
  psychological health. Please look up. Let me give you an example.

  A madman has bias. He is not dead, but he

  does not have suke because the sense of coordination is

  not present within him.

  Speaker 1: He is not able to freely interact from a psychological

  standpoint with his environment, so he has bias. He's not dead,

  but from the standpoint of Suke that psychological is dead psychologically.

  learning that the life God gave.
