- 0:00SPEAKER_00: All right, 0808.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: I love the energy.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: They said good everyone on this WOW.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: It's Wow Wang Out Wednesday.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Whoa.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: I I think we've talked about this in the past.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: There used to be an old radio show I listened to a long time ago.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: And they also had WOW as their moniker, but theirs was Whip 'em out Wednesday.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: Who started the Wang Out Wednesday?
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: And I'm sure it was a mistype, just like Good Everyone, which got adopted as the official greeting for the Scott and Alley show, which is very pleasant when you think about this.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: We've said this.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: It's encompassing all.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: It's good everyone.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: It's so inclusive.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: You know, here's a here's a little something, something for you.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: When you guys are at Harvest over the weekend when you're going to Corning's Harvest Festival, our Good Everyone candle still resides in Finger Lakes Unique.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Oh, are they going to be there?
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Yes, you can go pick up our candle.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Oh, there you go.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Why not?
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: We're going to be there too, so we'll have Good Everyone t-shirts.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Um get a candle and a shirt.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Oh, you're talking the Harvest Fest in Corning.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Yes, I will be there Friday during the day.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can take some shirts.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: You could, but you're doing a lot of social.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: We also have another Harvest Festival coming up in October.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Guaranteed we'll have Good Everyone shirts there, too.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: But you're right.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: I'll I'll bring some stuff.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: I'll just put I'll put some shirts in a bag and hand them out.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure what the purpose of Tiffany's text is.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Uh uh in regard, but she loves a good jumping on the Scott beating bandwagon.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: She's in if the door creaks open where we're gonna, you know, make fun of Scott Boy, she's there instantaneously ready to jump on.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: It could be just like that little slit, that little crack.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, she'll just peel it right open.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Kick it.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: And it's funny because uh we were playing the game a minute ago since Allie now has made it through uh her first round of blood work ever, and I had mine, well, which is now almost two years ago.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: And uh uh we said, let's play the game.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Who's got the higher cholesterol?
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Who wins the race?
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Wow, that marathon is all mine.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: You did.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: What was yours 269 and mine's 139?
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, pretty much.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: So man and a boo-boo.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, uh, that's uh well I win.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but you're right, you do.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Uh, but she then says Scott came back pre-diabetic uh in his blood test as well.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Let me just say I don't remember this at all.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Who's not pre-diabetic?
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, come on.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I don't think I no, uh maybe I am, I'm not sure.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: But I can tell you this.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Everybody in their war in the world is somehow pre-diabetic.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: I can tell you this.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Hand me a Pepsi.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: I do not like the results.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: The ru results are very demeaning because then it told me my BMI, and I was like, pfft, okay.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: That's are you bullying me right now?
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Is it BMI or BMI?
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's BMI.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: BMI.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I'm one of the healthiest.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Okay, except for on the weekends.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: I'm one of the healthiest BMCs.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: I'm one of the healthiest linebackers you've ever met.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: I've been a great BMI.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: I am one of the healthiest Monday through Friday fivers, nine to fivers I know.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Saturday and Sunday that's crucifying your BMI.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: But when I saw that, and then you know, they gave me all your like, well, you could do this and this and this.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Well, you can just go do it.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: All right, we gotta move on.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Yes, we do.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: But that was fun, I will admit it.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Okay, this is a Reddit's M I and A hole thread, and ironically, kind of has to do with something medical.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: A woman asks if she is uh hole uh for asking a handicapped person in her family to clean off her wheelchair wheels before she rolls around her house.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: What were you expecting?
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Why the mini pause?
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Were you expecting me just to start?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, it is I don't know why in my mind it sounds humorous, but there are houses you go to.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Could you take off your shoes?
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: I still ask.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: I asked, in fact, when I saw your house months ago, I believe I did ask.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: I said, Do you want me to take my shoes off?
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: And I said, No, we are you can wear shoes in the house.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: We don't mind whatsoever.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: But but it was, you know, something from many, many decades ago that was in my head because my mom was a shoes off kind of lady.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: Well, I and with the wheelchair thing, I understand this if you have a very light carpet, because shoes and wheels alike are really collective and you can find it.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Why does it seem awkward in my brain to go?
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: Uh, or you just pick up on the fact that it's a shoes off house.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: You can either someone will either say it or you can just observe, look down and be like, oh, all the shoes are right here.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: And how do you do it?
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Do you bring them a Clorox cleanup wipe?
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: And you wait, actually, do we have somebody here?
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: We do.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: I have somebody here.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: And you just open it right up.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: You gotta get the sound effect.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Um, excuse me, could you?
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Do you mind do you mind doing a wipe down?
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: Or would you like me to wipe your wheels?
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Because those wheels ain't coming.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Sounds personal.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: Those wheels aren't rolling around in this.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: Would you wipe my wheels?
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Clean my closets?
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sure.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I I understand the concept behind why you'd want it done.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: But you wouldn't pause to ask me to take my shoes off.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: I don't know that I could ask someone in a wheelchair to wipe their wheels.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: It seems so Abrasive.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: But it doesn't seem weird.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Really focus on your handicap.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Because I'm really not handicapped taking off my shoes.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Although when I have to bend over to tie them, this comes back to the cholesterol.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: That's a little bit of a win taker.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: But why is it it doesn't feel weird for me to go, hey, uh, by the way, can you take your shoes off?
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: All right, what do you does anybody else feel just a little awkward hearing this?
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: It feels like I'm really saying, like, hey, handicapped person.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Yes, right.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Well, I I will say this.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: I don't think you should offer to do it.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Because then basically you're taking away from their ability to be as independent as they're able to be.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I think I should hand them the Clorox wipes.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Hey, Jessica.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: And then you wipe it down?
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: And and do I say, can I wipe it down?
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: Or go do I just hand it to her and go, you know what?
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Or do you just have a Clorox wipes by the front door and hope they know?
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: Do wheelchair people know?
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: Quote, no.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: I got no.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Because I don't I don't know whether to take off I don't like taking off my shoes at people's houses.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: So I don't I I usually don't, even if they even if okay.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: Not that they say like they it's not as if they'd said it, but I see that people have taken their shoes off and I was like, no, this is part of my outfit.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Anyway, that's right there.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Does it make you feel awkward?
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: But you may have never thought about this.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Do you feel a little awkward, you know, uh about this?
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: How is it?
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling awkward talking about it.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: I am too.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Also, though, I should be in a wheelchair by 8 a.m.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: based on my test results.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: So we might be able to test this theory.
