1 Kings 3 – Solomon’s Wisdom

Solomon becomes king and strengthens his rule by marrying Pharaoh’s daughter.

He worships God but still sacrifices at “high places.”

At Gibeon, God appears to Solomon in a dream and offers to give him anything he asks.

Instead of riches or long life, Solomon asks for wisdom to govern the people well.

God is pleased and gives him:

Exceptional wisdom and discernment

Riches and honor

Long life (if he remains obedient)
