- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: The bugs are going to begin the 2026 season O and four losing to the Green Bay Packers this time 17 to 14 Jalen Daniels.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're un drafted quarterback rookie is a guy that was not able to win in his debut.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that was much of a shocker there.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: We all made our prediction for the bucks to lose this game, but still.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_01]: He did have the bucks pulling it off, but that was not the case, and this is the first time the bucks have began 0 and 4 since going all the way back to 2013.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: It has been a very long time since then, but we are going to discuss the good, the bad, the ugly Jalen Daniels debut, multiple injuries, too, to keep an eye out on.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: including a very important one with Antoine when field junior.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: But also we're going to discuss Todd Bowles in the future here for the box moving forward.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: But with me is Caleb Skinner, I've got her in writer at bucksamea.com.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm in here at Raymond James Stadium, Todd Bowles just wrapped up his interview and also two will hear from Jalen Daniels.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: River will join us in just a few minutes after he wraps up the locker room interviews.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: What are your thoughts from that game and also to Jalen Daniels and how he played?
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's much of the same, much of the same conversations we've been having.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: Mistackles, the defensive side of the ball, you were going up against an offensive line that was pretty much reconstructed for Green Bay, leading up to this game.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: And you really weren't able to put a whole lot of pressure on Jordan Love.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: even with that.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not a great look on considering what you're going to have to face moving on throughout the rest of the season on you look at it.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think overall the offense looked a little bit better.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: J. O'Donnell is able to move out of the pocket.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: I was very impressed with what he was able to do.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: All be it with the two intersections.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think that person reception by him, you got to be able to throw that ball out of bounds and not put it in the harms way.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Say him one, you know, kind of hit or miss can't really, you know, chalk that up too much.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: But overall, it's just a bad team is a bad team.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's no skating around it, there's no finding any silver linings within it at this point.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: K-D-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-D-O-
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: That make this team the bad team, just I a charter feeling wrong gaps today.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of miss tackles that I was able to see offensive lines still struggling and when it begins Packers who don't even have Mike Parsons.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: A lot's this like not a whole lot to like I probably would have like to see Chase go out there in the 10 to 65 of your vote to tie the game late.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Todd did say that they thought about it, but they did not feel good.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: Why go why not?
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you're feeling, but you're feeling more confident in your offense going forward on 4th and 11 new
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: that often in our offense no matter who's behind the wheel in driving that car to be able to convert a fourth and 11.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: I have much more promise and confidence in the fact that it's sending chase out there to to have to 65 yards.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's done it before.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: There's no win in Tampa right now.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Humanities is going to weigh the ball down a little bit, but at the end of the day,
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's losing football, there's no need, there's no any of that with this team and it's it's super unfortunate that we had always talk coming in about how the culture has changed in the building in one block and it doesn't seem like the culture has changed whatsoever.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, it seems that gotten worse to a period of time and Logan, I know.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: you put out a video prior to the game with a Sean Robertson going out there delivering a speech before going into the locker room for coming out for the game, but still nothing from it.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: I guess there's quite so much you can really do.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Green Bay didn't do a whole lot if we're ever being honest.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good football team.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: We're not a good football team.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: It was a battle of ass versus ass.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: I had measured two before I have plenty of Green Bay Packers fans that I'm friends with and we were honestly rooting for the other team to go down and score to win the game because we did not like they didn't want to win the game and I might know do please go win this game so that we can end up going on for and being in a position that we're going to ultimately look to be and being one of the top draft picks and this upcoming draft and that's where we're at.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're four weeks in, I know a lot of people don't want to give up hope.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: or anything like that, but oh and four, you're pretty unlikely to deploy off to this point.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: So where are you really going as a team?
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: At this point, you can kind of see the writing in the wall when it comes to Todd Bowles.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: He is not going to be your head coach most likely moving forward.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: I would imagine at this point, then you've got to start talking about this and why.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: And whether or not that's going to follow, instead with with Todd Bowles.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: progress throughout the season.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't losing this game, make you think a little bit more about are the glaciers finally going to pull a choreograph on fire and we're had coachman season.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to be in your mind.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's no way that you can look at the scene and be like, yeah, this team is going to be able to turn it around.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't appear that that's even a semblance of something that happened.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where things are, but speaking of
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: He played an okay game for an undrafted rookie.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: We had I talked about it beforehand.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: You have no expectations when it comes to him coming into this game.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: So whether he plays good, whether he plays bad, you'll be able to make your decisions off the bat.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think there was enough, even there, right?
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think his offense of lying to give him enough.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think his wide receivers gave him enough.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: I had already pointed on the interception, the first interception that I threw where that one was bad, right?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: But overall, I think he provided a little bit of a spark to this offense that we hadn't seen up to this point in the year.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: And so that was fun.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: That was good to see.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Using his legs, utilizing his ability to be able to take off with a ball, whatever he needed to.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Or just scanning the field.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I was early in the game and you could see him scan the field, scan the field, scan the field, nothing's there.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: Boom, I want to take off and go.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I really liked that aspect of things, right?
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's something to go on it.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see where things go for here.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: It was good to see Sean Tucker, I think, get back into the game, because we hadn't seen them at all this season.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: So Sean, getting that touchdown was big.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: But ultimately, it's too much bad.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's a much better date of UJ going out with an injury, not like it's going to make a huge impact considering the weight he's played after something that you still because he is not with up to it in any form or nature of it and it's just
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: that's what it is.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: You make no game changing place.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: No, there's no electricity.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: There's no explosive plays from the offense.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's no big time plays made by the defense.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Jacob Pierce had a great play there at the end of the game with the intersection, but what are you can't do anything with it, right?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then whatever happened earlier as well, there's another turnover, but just ugly.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's a bad, it's a bad football team.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really know how to
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, now it's bad football ball play and I think you saw after coming out of half time this team played very flat offensively and defensively Allow in the pack was this go down there and score on your head just to begin That second half now Todd Bowles did just speak he talked about the bigger made field injury you just made an update there and he said as far as he knows
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: Baker Mayfield's injury timeline is still sitting at two more missed games.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: So that means he will miss the Cowboys game, which is just in a few days on the road.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: And Jerry's world gets the Cowboys and then in two Sundays from now against these dealers where they come into Raymond and James stadiums.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: So we did see Baker Mayfield, I saw him out there during warm-ups, being very hands on with Jalen Daniels after his first interception.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: So he was there on the
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: uh, and all that kind of stuff.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but uh, we did hear from bulls to say, yes, indeed, Jlande annuals will start Thursday night against the cowboys.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want to make a change.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you necessarily have to.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: When you were talking about the offensive line earlier, it would have been nice to see the offensive line make some moves for the run game.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like there was a lot more opportunities there because this packers defense had stopped and run has not been phenomenal this season.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: This there should have been a way better
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: the box and this one, it just wasn't the case.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you were fighting way too much for yardage in this one.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, buckierving, one yard, three yards, four yard.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was just just trying to chip away at anything and then how many screen calls can you possibly have Zach Robinson?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, how many screens can you possibly call?
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that was everybody in the press box wondering how many
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: like, I just don't understand.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's all he has kind of in and not only that, but they're not working.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to continuously call the things that aren't working and it's.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: it's deadly, and it's being a death horse.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's, yeah, no, it gets, it gets very old after a while on defense of coordinators what know exactly what's going to, you know, happen offensively so they can operate their defense, but guys in the right spots to be able to eliminate those certainly.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: And just not even give you any gains if not tackles for loss, but yeah, it bucks five of 12 on a third down now.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: The one thing green bay like we said not a great football team.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: They went to in 10 on third downs this afternoon.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_01]: Now if you go over to the rushing part, lucky Irving averaging 3.8 yards a carry 3.8 is just a trotchus.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean that was just no good blocking on the interior.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a horrible
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's the problem is is that you're going up against a team that has allowed multiple teams to gash them running the ball.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: And your offensive line is not able to open up holes for guys to get there.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many times that Bucky's looking like Levy on Bell on the back.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: And we know that's not Bucky's game.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like Bucky is not a patient runner.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a guy that's set way whatever.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: Bucky's going to see a hole.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to always go and hit that bitch in terms of what's going to go away.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: And they just couldn't, you can't open up an A, you can't open up B after an A, it's
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's going to be a turmoil here.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's just going to be that way.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: I know that mouth is coming off that injury, but he's looking almost worse in medicine through these first four games.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: And that's saying a lot, or what's going to lead.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're going against one of the worst run defenses in the league, and you aren't able to even eclipse 100 yards,
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty worrisome.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna take some restructuring, I think.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: This offseason, I don't know how you attack that.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's gonna be dependent on who your head coach is coming in.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: I would imagine that with the head coaching chains, if you're not necessarily gonna want to keep that Robinson around, so that's gonna be a new O.C.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: We'll type the scheme, Lexa B. Ryan, what type of,
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: options like to be given personnel wise as well.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: And who knows, I mean, you've got you've got two good bags.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: We know we know Kenny's on on on one of your deal, but I think you would probably want to retain him on a lesser deal after this, even depending on how his season plays out.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's brutal.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: No run game, passing game.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: We knew the passing game wasn't going to be
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: really much considering that we're running Jailadano down there, but constantly in the pressure for like he always had to bring his eyes down and had to try and make plates, had to try and will have to seem to be through, which is the same thing we've seen with Baker Mayfield when he was at court back.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I did like what Jamie Daniels did.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: There was some times where he had to throw the football away and he did a really good job of that.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: And we were like Baker Mayfield might have tried to make a throw.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's some of those.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: So he didn't make that's the one thing we're talking about preview in this game, the experience that Jamie Daniels has played a lot of years at Kansas college career.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: He knows these kind of situations.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's not at the NFL level.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely, but still just the simple things that take care of, hey, this plays over with.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: I have nothing downfield.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe there's a guy that could make a crazy play for me, but
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's not worth it certainly given the ball away later on in the second half and I thought he did some good throw ways there And that's just because he has the experience on his side of things now I want to go back to Jalen Daniels a little bit more to because I feel like there is some good things to work with here Like you said it definitely felt like there was some spark there of this offensive line can help out in the run game it makes this life a lot easier But also two Zach Robinson's gonna have to be I think a little bit more creative enough
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: be able to rely on Daniels to utilize his arm moving forward.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: With more intermediate shots, not that the screens were unbelievable.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: River is going to be going to experience just a minute, but we were trying to count how many there were from Zach Robinson, but maybe give some more opportunities to guys like Ted Hearst take those shots there because it seems like those two have been able to connect very well so far since those two have arrived in Tampa.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: Just going back
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: The ranks in the depth chart whenever Jamek Millen was injured in Mecca, Lukas, so they've had some time to build chemistry But you got to give shots eventually and Zach Robinson is really he was doing the same to Baker make field But he of course is gonna try to do and have the excuse because he's got a rookie
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: at quarterback.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: But I think you've got some things to work with.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: Hem Utilizing his leg was very important to make him some plays out of nowhere.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: And he's got a burst that Baker may feel doesn't have.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: And he's very elusive, not the easiest guy to take down.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: So it wasn't pretty as with two interceptions.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: We all know that and understand that that's what you're going to expect.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where you'd like to have your defense be able to put
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: the offense and good position.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: So let's go ahead and add River and here as you just got done I believe with maybe some locker room interviews but also two.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: You did just hear from Todd Bowles and Jalen Daniels.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about him saying that Jalen Daniels is indeed going to start and Dallas.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a chance to, he starts against the Steelers just because of his update on Baker Maple.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: They still feel like he's going to have to sit out to Games River.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: Was there anything else that stood out to you from the interview?
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe even to the field goal in the comments there from Todd Bowles.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the first thing in Jayland Daniels told us that he thinks that he read everything right today, coverage wise, he says I think I read everything right and I was two interruptions he said, there was my execution that caused those interruptions, he also did me mention that on that play, the final fourth down 11 play with a free Russia, he said he properly identified the coverage.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: But he wasn't able to get there wasn't able to get any protection there.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_02]: So that was a big problem with that as in that respect as well.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: So there's something from Jalen Daniels on how he thought kind of his first game went.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then from top bulls.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he felt like 10 to 15 yards out from a field goal.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: So he said,
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to hit 65 yards.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: The wind was a little bit against them when you saw that from the press box a tad.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: It was going to add that way.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, that decision's probably going to get brought up a few more times because it's going to be, do you trust your veteran kicker who is kicking at a 100% clip this year?
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: Or do you trust an undrat the free agent quarterback to get you 11 yards with an offense that has struggled to gain a lot of ground?
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: And that was the decision that top bulls had to face and they chose to risk it with the day for the 11 go for an offense, didn't work out.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_02]: And as a result, the bucks are going for now.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: It takes a long good and missed the kick.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, but maybe putting it in the hands of a veteran like that would have been a better idea.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: But top bulls felt like you wanted to go for it.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: And they did and it didn't work out.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, it didn't now.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: Did you go into the locker room any?
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: And if you did, what was the vibe in there first?
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then, too, who were able to hear from specifically, what was said in there?
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's like not pretty fast the locker room.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: I was gonna say it, but I was gonna say it, but that bench cleared out.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: It was new as it was fairly cleared out.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: Talk a little bit design, McCollum, talking about getting those turnovers, which is able to try and help your rookie quarterback.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: And they did, in this case, they didn't get a few turnovers today.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: that they've tried to help Jalen Daniels to dig it up pick on Jordan Love, Ricardo Fumble, both of those in the red zone, by the way, I believe.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: It may be the packers that are 21 on that, that's, I can pick if they weren't in the red zone, they were very close.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: So those are the things that keep you in the game, but obviously the office was not able to capitalize all those opportunities.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: You also had that one sack or Fumble from Jalen Daniels that ended up
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: This was confusing to me.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: It was a bumble from Jalen Daniels that ended up at the one yard line through forward progress instead of a safety, but it didn't look like he went forward at any point during that place.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not entirely sure why that was not a safety, but that happened the first time the books had the situation in the end of the second time, so we weren't able to capitalize off of those.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: That was really the only person I heard from the time I came back in, had to talk to Jalen Daniels, most of the locker room had cleared out at that point.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: As that concern, you Caleb, with the vibes in there, and as we were talking about leadership, that's been a big talk of the Opsies, and you wanted to have some leadership, and they're not saying that you have to be there for another hour after the came, and you need to have a who-rah in there.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: But, I mean, just the vibe that you get overall, and I'm just from the team, but too, and Raymond James Stadium, the last few weeks, you've had this whole stadium filled out with opposing fans and this doesn't deserve you.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, these aren't home games anymore guys.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to tell you right now for anybody listening watching and certainly if you're here, you know the case these these are not home games for the bucks.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: They are not home games at all.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, that's another issue for another day, but
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, when speaking of the locker room in general, um, that's pretty much the case has been since we've been covering to take a book and years, um, not necessarily just a loss because there's been losses and we've talked to
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: Um, either writing on the wall or this is kind of game-changing, not game-changing, but, you know, season-changing, so on and so forth, whatever we've walked in there and there's been nobody in there, it's been one of those losses, right?
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's never been, oh, it's just a loss, some guys are playing around, whatever, some guys are getting out of there, so on and so forth.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that goes back to Brady today.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's like,
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: We've, whenever the bugs had a really bad loss back in the Brady days, it would clear out pretty fast.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: But it's, I guess it would be more telling now it is in terms of you're wanting to build a different culture than what it used to be and you're not really living up to that, right?
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're not following through on the words to talk.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: people who say I'm sorry, but never really follow through with actions to kind of correct that problem type deal and that's kind of what it is.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh, you know, lost, sorry.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: We don't really have much more to say, and that in our actions aren't really going to follow that either.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: So that's just the culture.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: It is that's top bulls and I'm sure we'll get into that.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, coming up here shortly and there's other coaches that will make is that would probably make players stick around.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care whether or not it's when a loser for own for and or for an up.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to stick around and you're going to face the music ultimately, you know, and then Todd Bulls runs this program the way that he runs it he runs it organization the way that he runs it and he's okay with that.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: But that's one of those things, you let these little things creep in, you let these little things be okay.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: and goes back to accountability, goes back to responsibility, goes back to owning up to once mistakes, but nobody really wants to do that, especially when it comes to the media of this organization.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a problem too.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: In my honest opinion, because it's something that creeps in, it can reverberate throughout the rest of the organization, even though one player
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: Is it worrisome?
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, obviously it's going to be worrisome, but it's not shocking.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we've been seeing this for three, four years now.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: We've covered the team.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: We've been in the locker.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: We've been in one book.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: We've all seen it.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure you both, you're still seeing it to this day.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's very much status quo of how things are going with me being in Boston.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get to see it quite like you guys do.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: Moving forward, like I mentioned earlier, when we first started this episode is the fact that the writings on the wall at this point.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the fact that I highly doubt top post is going to be your head coach from here on out.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: River going back to last year you wrote up a stat not not too long ago about how many games the bookiniers have lost within the past.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think 13 games are something like that.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: And now it's just kind of continuing over into this season.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just what this team is.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: We have to be honest with ourselves about it.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: We can look for silver linies.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: We can reap between the lines and look at the fine print all we want to.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: But this is what this team is.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: They they lack discipline.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: They lack execution.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: They lack good playing calling.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: They lack culture.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: They lack the want to go out there and win it.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: It appears to be.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: Um, worrisome.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how you turn it around.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: I, I think there was avenues to be able to do so, but it's going to be another.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: You're looking at you're looking at another decade of trying to work yourself back into being a team that's going to be continuing.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I like to talk on that for a little bit.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: I do think that.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the top bulls is like not trying to fix these things.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm not denying the fact that I think if this isn't a sour game, sour game.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and nothing's working and unfortunately, you know, I think this is for better for worse, and type of, you know, front facing personality of top bulls is he likes to keep everything extremely close to the best, right?
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: That goes for injuries, that goes for the entire operation of the team.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: So I can understand from a fan perspective,
- 26:06[SPEAKER_02]: It might be frustrating.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: If for instance, you know, on I think it was Wednesday, we asked top bulls He was changing anything in practice and he said we've changed a few things and we asked what are they?
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: And he said don't you know, no, I'm not going to tell you.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's the music and it's the music continuing to play on practice on Fridays.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what it is.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's the big change.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: That could be it.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he is now we're on now playing music all the way through practice in practice.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: That might really be it.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be honest with how they play this year.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a ping-pong table thing, if everyone has heard the ping-pong table, and that's like, what do you think that is?
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I'm saying, it's like, with kids, dude, like, okay, well, obviously this is that helping this situation.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: So take away the music, get, get, go, go fucking play ball.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's actually time balls as music.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's actually time balls as playlists on Fridays.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, now it gets into a more modern thing, but now I think he's trying, but it's just not working, right?
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's just not working and he's not very forthcoming on the types of things that he's trying to do, which is, you know, the competitive advantage if you want to keep it that way and that's that's fine if you're wrong.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: But it can increase frustration, I think when you're facing the media and you are asked, you know,
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: For instance, you know, it's a day.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: He was asked, you know, there's only been one team NFL history has made a play out from known for start, you know, what makes you think that, you know, this team's going to be the second one.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: And he said we're going to say the NFC, NFC South is dog shit.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: No, but, um, he mentioned, you know, hey, we're just going to go one game at a time.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: The Cowboys game is a dark day, you know, my job to bring them out said, coach, and that's all fine.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but it doesn't really give you any answers, right?
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: And so I can see how that could be a frustrating thing from people who want to hear these answers.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: And with you, I don't doubt that they're trying new things constantly, but that you're not going to reveal what those are.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: and then you go out on Sunday and you lose again, and your own four, and so nothing's really changing with this team.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: And specifically, despite how you may be trying and I can kind of get how from a, you know, media-facing standpoint, I gotta be looking forward to it.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: The box are now eight and 13 since last year.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go to a couple of comments and here you guys who love hearing from you and getting your perspective on it.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: Marcel and here are the glazers even watching their team lose.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they're here.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: I actually ran into one of them up here and believe it was the press box walking in here.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_01]: But they're down there on the field.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: They have their eyes watching it.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, you got to wonder what they're feeling right now.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: What their thoughts are, but they did decide
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: to ride with toddbles.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: They really like toddbles.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: They believe in him.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: They believe that they can win a Super Bowl with him at the helm.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: But they might be having some second thoughts on that.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: You might imagine.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: Benjamin.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: Super Bowl.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: Super Bowl.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for the talk, Paul.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now not as a head coach and then seem offensive line can't pick up blitzers and defense can't account for open tight ends same thing for a few years now that has been the case for Todd Bolses defense against tight ends we all know that for sure it's not usually the prettiest
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: and you're lucky that Tucker craft dropped a touchdown.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah there's true.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: You don't usually see that as much too from him.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: Will Todd Bowles be fired before the end of the season?
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: That would make up for the losing season.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: You guys have probably all heard this one floating around the internet.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: This statistic I'll say it again.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: The collagers have never fired a head coach from its season and haven't made book in your history from when they owned it.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: I doesn't mean that they won't.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think that definitely doesn't mean that they won't.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: There have been other owners like the McCaskies in Chicago who have gone against that trend once it became abundantly clear how this was not working out.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but yeah, the glaciers have had, you know, they had marine moroses, uh, dreadful last season that they just let them write out.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and they have not fired a hand coach for its season.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: So that makes it, I guess less like them than maybe some other owners like David Tepparoos when they just get rid of coaches like crazy.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think Dave can now us like the longest 10-year Panthers had coach and like a long time.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but,
- 30:37[SPEAKER_02]: I doesn't mean that they're going to be really going to do it immediately, but I do think genuinely that there might be a change there.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: There are then I put balls on primetime, guys, and the Cowboys have a very high flying offense.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's much better than the Spring Bay offense that you saw today.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: So if, you know, it gets really bad there with a guy like Jay on Daniel's quarterback who, you know, not necessarily knocking him, but he's an undirected free agent rookie in the second start off a short week, you know, things like that can can be naturally important.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what happens, you know, either they just let him ride out the whole season and they fire him then, or he's able to, or I just the glitches are able to fire him before then, but honestly,
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: This is Top Bull's last year's Buckingham Air Tech Go to, I think anyone would be comfortable saying that based on the product and the field, if he doesn't get fired, but season that would expect him to get fired towards the end or at the end of the season.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, of course,
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: historical president, there's one other team that's turned it around after this, but I just don't see anything on his football team talent wise or a coaching wise that would lead me to believe that they're able to do a similar thing that Charter did in 1992 when they became the only team to start own foreign make a playoffs.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_02]: So, I think either way, this is almost certainly with like 99.8% certain that this is top bulls last year in 10.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it's also important to note, I think just kind of building off of the glacier.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: thing is that Malcolm was a lot different than his kids and the way that he operated.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: Malcolm was not afraid to push buttons.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was not afraid to be a guy to make some drastic decisions.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you look at what he traded and what he gave up to get John Grootin in the first place.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like that is crazy in and up itself, right?
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: he was willing to make those moves, whereas his children, and now that they are under the ownership of the Tampa Bay Buckeens, are a little bit more, I wanna say safe, they want to play things safe.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to that, they're not willing to take,
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: the chances that Malcolm potentially would if he was still here today.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a difference in in that connection, right?
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like the glazers is different than when Malcolm was was the owner, right?
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where I kind of see things differently and why I do believe with River here with I'm going to assume that he's going to write out the rest of the season.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: and figure things out from there, it would be unprecedented for them to fire him in season.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: I would think it would be the right decision.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing that would be the hold-up there is who are you going to elevate into that in a role because Zach Robinson hasn't proven to you at all that he can be able to command an offense yet alone a whole team.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: So who would you really elevate into that position at this point?
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, so you're really stuck with what you got.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you are, let's go to right now the NFL draft order at the moment, who's that number one?
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's not the Tampa Bay Buccaneers anymore.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's the Houston Texans because of their strength of schedule, but their number one and the order right now the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be number two, the Tennessee Titans number three, the LA Charters four, and the Miami Dolphins number five,
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: Jeremiah Smith, everybody.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: Archmany can't wait to have that discussion.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: That should be a really good time on here.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: There is a question on here.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: This is from Elmo loves the box saying, you guys are around the team.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: Has any player called the coaches out on the abysmal play calling?
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well I'll go ahead and tell you right now we probably want to be there for that the most time that we're going to get around this team is during training camp and yes that is a great opportunity and you get to use a lot of that time to see how the coaching is along with the players and how they're taking that end but once you get into the season and things become losses and they become four straight losses sadly we aren't in those type of meeting rooms or and the locker rooms after games and things that are being
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: said I highly doubt and sometimes you do see it where you know players are speaking up sometimes on the sideline in games and such but we wouldn't be able to tell you specifically unless you know a player says something but these guys are all professionals and that's not to be the cause of the piece.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: That in the end of the season two which is where we heard the
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I want to go to some more comments in here and here from you guys, let's see, this is from Jay Miller saying or just far as that Robinson because I think we all have seen enough know this offense is not it.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: River, what were your thoughts on Jayland Daniels is play with a mix of Zach Robertson here?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: Do you feel like he limited Daniels a little bit too much in some regards with the screens and making things a lot simpler and also too, your offensive line to help with the run game that would have helped a good bit because this is not a good rush game defense for the Packers, but just here we're over all thoughts on the offensive side of all today.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just haven't been a fan of Robin's in short game all year and people are going to talk about that forth in the 11 play, but on 3rd and 16, the books ran a screen pass with the game in the line, which I, you know,
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: Logan you were there a lot of us kind of looking to each other in the press box going like huh That doesn't do anything or anybody it so I know that sure game is kind of helping the RPO game Trying to help Jalen Daniels kind of operate the offensive support level and at some point helped a little bit But I wasn't a fan of that.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: I continue not be a fan of how often Kate Otten is kind of targeted and and You know centered around on those offense.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: He had a pretty bad drop Day did have some decent plays where he could come swing around and made it happen, but
- 37:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're trying to get the answers into the ball or the ball in the hands of the wire seabers a little bit more often.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, as well.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a big fan screen pass is very much and then the person otherwise could also be a tough bolsting right on that Zack Robinson thing.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: But we saw Sean Tucker get three touches on that second touch.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: He power through after hitting a wall on fourth of one to get a conversion.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_02]: and then he scored a touchdown for the team.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: And that was it.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't see any more of the Sean Tucker for the rest of the day there.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: So that's pretty interesting as well.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, you know, you didn't have about here around the field that last sequence was going to gain well.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_02]: So personnel is an interesting thing we were talking about.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so far, I can't say I've been a super impressed with Robinson's offense, but if bowls were to go, that's looking like a pretty definitive win at this point of Robinson would not return.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: So it would be another one done if it's a coordinator.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: You can't really fire offensive coordinators in the mid-season guys, that's not really how that that usually goes down or so you're going to
- 38:02[SPEAKER_02]: You got Zach Robinson for the whole year, and we'll see what he's able to continue to do with Jalen Daniels.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: So he just legs will pretty well too, but overall, yeah, I think there can be some more help there.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: A more dynamic offense, trusting and to push down the field.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't a big fan of how many short concepts they were today.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: We got to show some love to our friends over at price picks right now as a new user.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to play a $5 going to $150 back in bonus laughs.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you win, get to use that code HMA.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: You can make some picks for Sunday night football tonight or a Monday night football also to college football is great.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: I was doing that a lot yesterday so you can do player props, you can do game lines, you can do
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: almost everything.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: So price picks is awesome.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna be with us all throughout the season.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: We made some picks earlier too.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure how well we did and some of those.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_01]: But you guys can go to make your own, but you can you can even do live betting too.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: So right now we have the four o'clock slate happening right now.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: You can go and make those picks as the games are going on.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: use that code H and may as a new user play flag and I'm going to be ours back in bonus lineups if you win the link is also down in the description below as always shout price picks for being with us sponsoring the show now we're getting some interesting comments and this is going to be the kind of.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: I would say theme you ran right now what team beginning to go and four and it's an NFL and you're already thinking about what's going to what is going to be a new staff.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: And new people are talking about a new quarterback, too.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: People are not too happy with how big or may feel to begin this season.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: Two, I'm not, I'm already seeing some SEC quarter packs of bringing the end brought up and here with Trinidad, Chameless, from Ole Miss over there.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: I did see a pretty interesting comment, too.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: If I can find it on my iPad, I can't star these where I can bookmark these.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I didn't see one.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: I really created one from,
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was Jay Miller and you know, I guess the hope is now that you do end up with a number one of the real pick and you just hope whoever's got the number two pick wants to move up to one to draft arch so that way you can get your mice with two and humiliate a lot of draft capital on.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like this right here with a Miller trade baker to Pittsburgh get Mac Jones and tank the draft to get Trinidad Jameless to develop.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Mac Jones can fix things.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you really want to go to Mac Jones route.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: Unless you have Kyle Stanton in your own, it's a courtier and I don't know.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a courtier.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: Sky Wizard's saying he needs to go.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: I believe you're talking about Todd Bowler's here.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's obviously not going to work waiting Just a wait is pointless and we'll only cause the culture to get worse And we did hear some things in a locker room last year whenever things you know didn't make the playoffs and some of the players were speaking out and you know They weren't too fond of how things were ending off in the season and
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it might be, and I think there's just not a lot of fight with Todd Bowles has had coached from his team.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's pretty low and lackluster certainly too without you came out in the second half.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: There's just not a lot of fight, man.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: Not a lot of energy.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I think those things go a pretty long way.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: I know there are professionals.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: These guys get paid good money and such, but you still got to find a coach or a leader or someone in that regard to get you going or get, you know, you to operate and also to make good decisions.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the field goal one is going to come back to Haunt, Todd Bowles, and he'll be asked quite a bit about that tomorrow morning in his press conference.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_01]: We're at the point where I grew it in time, where we made it.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: This is what you get when you're on four.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: It is officially grew it in the watch for someone to calm us.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, shit.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: At this point, maybe there's a little interim run.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what you do.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you see the polls, then you can go ahead and do your little interim run because you feel like there's no one on the staff right now that can do that.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: So then you just kind of get a little feeler to see how it would look like and see what could happen.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: And for our side, it's content.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's the gym official to have issues to worry about.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's the biggest thing to take that thing.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: And it's all chicken.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: But hey, I'm like, OK, well, when it comes to gym, though, I'm like, given three, four years, fixed, figured out, fixed a shit, and then we'll have somebody to...
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: to replace him and take this over and keep running it.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: But like it's different, you know, oh, I don't know, it's gonna be the cool of that.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_00]: Um, as just like, hey, we need you as a stopgap.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that's, that's not really going to be the thing.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: And do you really want, you know, a second time running through a good and, um, with a bunch of kids that are not the warrants
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: The Derek Brooks of the world, um, they're not guys that you can kind of rely on.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: Do you really want John Gordon coaching a bunch of kids that are shocked, um, much of guys who don't care.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's the season eclipse right there.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's air encapsulated.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's not sure what we're going there.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, look me in the eyes.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: You do not want John Green to coach your football team.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: You don't want that.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: I know it was cool 24 years ago.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: On the buck and ears, one of Super Bowl of John Green.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_02]: But you do not want that man to be your head coach.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: There are plenty of other modern NFL options with staff connections who run a modern game.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: And John Gruden who has not coach since 2021 would not be the way to go there.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: So in my humble day, of course, for people to kind of forget how the end of John Gruden's tenure in Tampa Bay ended as well.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_02]: And after winning the Super Bowl, things did not go.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: They weren't going to continue with Super Bowl content after the bus comes to a boat, but it's that way.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of that was on Grinding himself.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't think that would be the option.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think there are already internal on time goals and staff.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: You were the fire and it's season.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think Georgia and I were divided into one pick.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of different directions where you can go and that I think that would be no going for a older head coach who has nostalgia, but hasn't been the one to get in for quite some time.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: It would not be the way to go.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a tough thing.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully I'm Mike is fine now.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: Can you guys hear me fine?
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's good.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: Never know a technology man, never know.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: What about Sean McDerman?
- 44:58[SPEAKER_01]: I did see a comment in here before I had to refresh.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: Can you hear him, Taylor?
- 45:07[SPEAKER_00]: I can hear him pretty well.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's bringing up Sean.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: I use that comment through my hair pods.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Sean McDerman.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, interesting.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you've seen
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: It never led to anything in Buffalo, but that could be more seen from a team perspective, but you see, you saw what he was able to do for Josh Allen's career.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Allen was thought of to be a bust after your one and then, oh, well, maybe there's something in your two and now he's an MVP.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: for him to be able to do that, him to be able to put together a coaching staff that is literate, literally.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: It would be a drastic good change.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not the nine that it wouldn't be an improvement, but again, you go back to it.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_00]: What did he do with the NMP quarterback?
- 46:06[SPEAKER_00]: Not very much, you know, making it,
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: to the ASC championship game, and that's about it or losing before hand.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: That was about it, but I think any bucket of your spam would take that about now, right?
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we're no longer suitable contenders.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: We know that.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: Um, we kind of knew after the breedy years that there was obviously going to be a drop off, but we didn't necessarily think it was going to be to this extent at this point, um, kind of thought we would just kind of ride this middling road a little bit of blaze, but now everything's sunk like everything is just down in the dumpster of.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: of where things are at.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, I hate to speculate, you know, just four games is isn't about us looking for a new coach, but that's where we're at.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_00]: So Sean McDermott probably would be one of those guys who's higher on the list.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure if the glazer would be willing for that because that's going to be a situation where Sean McDermott's going to want to bring in his own GM.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to want to
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: be doing all this.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got to take all these things into account.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're getting rid of bulls, are you also going to get rid of Jason White because you can handcuff yourself a little bit.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: If you decide to just keep bulls and you want to retain Jason White, you're not going to have very many options available at that point from a perspective when you're looking at a head coach unless you do open up the opportunity for them to be able to hire your
- 47:34[SPEAKER_00]: and work with their own GM and everything from that.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm trying to hold it down here, or I would guys are, I don't know, that's going on.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna use it.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's going on, but it's not a bad option.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm much improved the option from where you're at, but again, it's gonna come down to all you willing to part with Jason at the same time that you're parting with polls.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: Because a lot of these coaches nowadays want to be
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: And what's the, what, I forget the metaphor, whatever, like in, in lockstep with their, with their GM, they want to be awesome.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: And, and on lockstep, whatever, even call it, with their GM and.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, top bulls and Jason like might be in lockstep with one another, but at the end of the day, they both see things differently.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think in in certain aspects of the game and in players and roster building and things for that nature show instead of having those conversations about.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like, hey, should we go after this guy?
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: Should we sign this guy?
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: But, well, it's more so everybody will be aligned and they're going after the same people they understand what they want in this team.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you've got the him and whatever they call it with La Vante David's silhouette, but that's just an organizational thing.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's not something that is strictly relegated to just the head coach strictly to just the GM.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: And so you've got to find it.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_00]: What is it that is going to define your team?
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: What is the definition of your team?
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's mainly in this team.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's definition is just dog shit back.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's just where they are.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: They don't know how to draft.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_00]: for the most part, they don't know how to add guys and free agency, they don't know how to coach, they don't know how to make adjustments, they don't know how to keep a culture.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that's all five things that are wrong with this team, and that's just why you're own four.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's why you're sitting in a position that you will are in to be a potential number one of raw pig in the 2020 set of drafts.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's top down and leave it talking about this too, but you know, once top balls is fired, just looking pretty like the moment, you know, talking about Jason Light as well, and what he's done and his rosters and how he's sort of the team and the extension he's made and his willingness to not trade and, you know, keep by your picks and all that.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: You know, most people he drafts always make the team and you've got two six round picks or fifth round picks, sorry, inactive on game day to day.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: So that's something to consider and it's a whole organizational thing.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_02]: I've talked about this on many of these post-game shows, but this team does not have a superstar on either side of the ball.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have a player who can win a rep. Actually, it's quite a skill position player, because you know, just somewhere still an excellent tag on the best of the league.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: Then I'll give you that, but skill is hard to make a place to win.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: You can't even do it.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: You know, win a rap by themselves.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have that on either side of the ball.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a light problem.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's not a Tom Bull's problem.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's a light problem.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: everything's got to be real evaluated to the top down.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_02]: After this season, we'll see how it goes.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: The adjacent light was going to be the one to hire this next head coach.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: And if head coach is going to want to work with him, Liam Cohen said in the press conference of the Jaguars, you know, this are going to make that even care about value with draft picks.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_02]: Here's about winning.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: And that sort of mentality, it's obviously Jason like cares about winning, but he cares about value, much more than a lot of general managers do, I think, and so that's going to be a conversation that, you know, if he hasn't do that, go show up to have with the central suitors and how they're going to want to run their team and.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, you know, the teams are on four, so it feels a little related to talking about this, but this season feels like it's over at the same time.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_02]: Because of where this team's at, the data behind starting home for, and how checked out everyone kind of is in the fan base as well, and would you completely see from comments and from sort of media and stuff like that?
- 51:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure we'll have these conversations again and again and again over the next few weeks, but the next one's on Thursday, because they play to cowboys on Thursday, and we'll see how that goes, but it's hard to imagine that this thing that tables will be returning as a book in your time go to July 27.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is real great.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're not wrong here, J.C.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: So bad, the point that my camera won't even work and we're just having all these kind of difficulties being able to be.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just call it.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_01]: Not you.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you had something bad.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_02]: River.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't remember.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, I'm trying to.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: No, the comments are J.C.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, I thought you actually call me to see every, this is always the first on his phone because he can't see the phone.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: No, I can't.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he can't see the comments coming up.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's stuff.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's stuff.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's uh.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: Whenever there is suck versus suck, this was the suck bolt today.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, the technology issues are also sucking.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to just grab a force of suck.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: This is all suck.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: So here we are right now, and I think I think Taylor Swift likes to call it Mercury's in retrograders.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I mean.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: No idea.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we need the Taylor Swift army in here, please.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: But you might not want that now.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: We'll take the viewers that we'll take it.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she would bring the bigger crowd of Raymond James.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: If she was just here in attendance today, if any of her family say that she was an attendance, they might take every even the packers at absolutely.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: uh... just swamped out this entire ranging stadium today um... but yeah i mean i appreciate you guys all tuning in also to jail you guys are awesome it's a lot of questions to be answered right now i'm to take a nap so you guys on a Thursday night yes so we will have a preview earlier and the week next week and then i will be on hand in jerry's world and we'll have another instant reaction like this it could be very similar to the one that we had
- 53:51[SPEAKER_01]: Tonight, but we'll have some more conversations for sure, and hopefully maybe the bugs can get there for a swim.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what ends up happening there.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that's gonna do it for us here.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_01]: And Raymond, James, Stadium, we appreciate you guys a whole ton of river.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I will be with you here on YouTube later on in the week for some practice reports.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_01]: And give you guys some injury updates, including a big one on and one when field junior, Ann's Reocier, Dennis, who both went down in this game.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: And these guys got to get ready and travel over to Dallas for a quick turnaround.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: But that's gonna do it, y'all enjoy the rest of it y'all's evening.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll talk to you guys next time on, here are the cannons right here.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_01]: Peace.
