- 0:00This is your nightly roundup of sports, stories of adaptability, and stories that
- 0:06should be trending. But quite frankly, aren here's your host, Alex Garrett.
- 0:13Well nightly early morning. You get the point. It's the early edition
- 0:18of Alex at six because I've got a few things to say that I want
- 0:22to say before even putting up the next episode. And we got a great
- 0:26one with Terry Tucker. But I gotta say this, what's happening today in
- 0:33New York is such a comparing contrast, not just New York City, but
- 0:38New York's Long Island. Also see this week, President Trump's going to visit
- 0:45the family of Officer Diller, the officer who lost his life in the line
- 0:52of duty. Might have been an ambush attack. It looks like it was
- 0:57in Queens. And yet we wonder, and I wonder if the sea of
- 1:04blue that the Left has to see whenever we see a funeral procession for a
- 1:11fallen officer, whenever we see tons of cops lining Fifth Avenue for a fallen
- 1:18officer or even fallen firefighter, you will have to wonder if the Left is
- 1:23sick of that, because shouldn't we learn every time there is a sea of
- 1:32blue, of men and women in blue mourning a fallen officer. Shouldn't we
- 1:38learn that when someone has priors, they shouldn't be back down on the street
- 1:42like it's nothing. Shouldn't we learn that those who are committing these acts of
- 1:49horror and killing and murder are not just some non misdemeanor, some misdemeanor criminal.
- 2:00No, they're a felon. They're a felon Alvin Bragg. Shouldn't we
- 2:07learn that by now? Shouldn't we have to say to ourselves we're done seeing
- 2:15the cops have to honor a fallen and we want to protect our officers before
- 2:21they become a fallen officer. The whole idea that brad Lander and those who
- 2:27continued in twenty twenties they defund the police. Or now morning a lost fallen
- 2:30officer get lost. You know, everybody criticizes how thoughts and prayers after a
- 2:37mass shooting is not enough. Well, thoughts in prayers after a fallen officer
- 2:39is shot in the line of duty is no longer acceptable take action. Let
- 2:46me say that again, Thoughts in prayers with the family after a fallen officer
- 2:51who was in his prime just had a baby and now it's to be buried
- 2:54in Massapequa. Not enough leftists who want to blame the right for thoughts in
- 3:04prayers commentary after a mass shooting, Well, you know what, your thoughts
- 3:07in prayers are empty as well in this department, because you don't defend the
- 3:14police departments across the country, especially not in New York if you live from
- 3:20blue bloods and in real life situations, how many times are the police arresting
- 3:23someone and all of a sudden they're back out on the street hours later,
- 3:28twenty one priors this murderer had up in uh out in Queens before killing Officer
- 3:40Diller. Should in seeing the sea of blue every time there's a cop funeral
- 3:47be an eye sore, I think to me. Unfortunately, when a cop
- 3:54gets killed, it's a time when the city comes together. But if you
- 3:59look at the behave of the last five years, the unity and the attempts
- 4:03at unity feel empty. Because I'm sure the assembly people in Massapeak, well
- 4:11we're gonna more than the loss of Officer Diller today and tomorrow and over the
- 4:14weekend, are not going to go up there and change bell reform? Are
- 4:16they? We'd hope they are, But I don't know if they will.
- 4:24We should continue to progress away from the radical Bell reform and have it revised.
- 4:38This in and out nonsense is hurting us. And now you see another
- 4:46attack in the subway system in Columbus Circle last night. What is the world
- 4:53coming to where this is acceptable? And then back on the street they go
- 5:00and shouldn't be. And my thought today alex at six is these people before
- 5:05they are assembly members, before they're senators of the United States, before they're
- 5:09anything else, they're people, just like Officer Dylan was a person who got
- 5:14killed in the line of duty, wearing the badge of honor. He's a
- 5:19family man, probably put his family first, put his safety, put his
- 5:26city above his safety, you know, And that is heroic. But he
- 5:32shouldn't have to fight these battles that should be fought before these priors are already
- 5:39released on the streets. And then secondly today and so where's Joe Biden today?
- 5:46By the way, he's not. It's at the Massapequa funeral Home where
- 5:51they're honoring where they're honoring Jonn Diller, and they're having the wake which President
- 5:57Trump will be attending. No, he figures Lizzo is more important than a
- 6:02fallen officer, Jonathan Dillar. And that's sad to me because you know,
- 6:06it was there ten years ago when officers Ramos and Lou had to be buried
- 6:15because right on the heels of President of Mayor, President Deblasio, Police of
- 6:20Mayor Deblasio saying how the community needs to come together with the police. All
- 6:27of a sudden, these two are ambushed in broad daylight and shot and killed
- 6:32Ramos and Lou. But I will give credit President Biden was there ten years
- 6:38ago. Where is he now? He went to the funeral and spoke ten
- 6:43years ago. Where is he now? He's really putting Lizzo over a fallen
- 6:48officer. That's the message I'm getting and the message he's sending today in New
- 6:55York City. And that's why President Trump is doing what he's doing to,
- 7:02you know, show his support for law enforcement. And what did I tell
- 7:06you? I told you on the last Road to two seventy that law enforcement
- 7:15support will be a deciding factor in the twenty twenty four election. President Trump
- 7:20knows that, and I'm sure Biden knows that, But he can't support law
- 7:24enforcement because his left is far left. As voters wouldn't even vote for him
- 7:30throughout the middle of the road. He wants his far left voter. And
- 7:32that sickening. Is that sickening that Lizzo comes before Officer Diller? Ten years
- 7:41ago? You were there for the families of Rob Moinson, lou What happened?
- 7:45Joe Biden? What happened? And then I want to cover this before
- 7:50we get to our guests later today. I want to say, how the
- 7:56hell doesn't a cargo ship that already had accidents prior to the Baltimore Francis Scott
- 8:07Key Bridge collapse, the container ship and cargo ship that struck the Francis Key
- 8:13Bridge in Baltimore early Tuesday. And the good thing is there wasn a Mayday
- 8:20alert, so it looked like the cars that went in the waters in the
- 8:24Baltimore Harbor were not occupied. Thank god that may Day went out. So
- 8:28I can't fault the operators here, but I will tell you if taxpayers are
- 8:37supposed to pay this, then taxpayers should also see to it that the group
- 8:50behind it, Dolly d Ali, was involved in at least one prior accident
- 9:00when it collided with the shipping pier in Belgium. The twenty sixteen. Incident
- 9:05occurred as the Dolly was leaving Port and Antwerp and struck a loading pier made
- 9:09of stone. Hey, you know what's funny. When crane operators have an
- 9:13accident, somehow they're back at it. Sometimes their inspections don't always pass,
- 9:16and then they do pass somehow. Well, I get that this cargo ship
- 9:28lost power, and it did everything it could. Its crew actually did everything
- 9:31it's could to avoid as much loss as possible by issuing the may day,
- 9:37but to not hold Dolly. The ships management, if you will, Meyersk
- 9:56is actually the company Meersk, the same company chartering it during the harbor Baltimore
- 10:01Harbor incident. It's a nine year old containership which passed previous inspections. But
- 10:05let me tell you there was a deficiency in June at the port of San
- 10:16Antonio and Chile. Officials discovered deficiency with propulsion and auxiliary machinery. But it
- 10:26wasn't serious enough apparently to remove the ship from service. Well it should have
- 10:30been. It should have been one little issue like that. Should it still
- 10:37be operating? I don't think so so. Seima Meersk and seaman whoever did
- 10:45these inspections the Tokyo MoU and Intergovernmental Maritime Authority in the Asia Pacific Region for
- 10:54not forcing Meersk to do more of a look, if it's that power failure
- 11:03before, if it's not an accident before, why is it operating an American
- 11:07port that's so vital to our country's supply chain, so vital to making sure
- 11:15that bridge stays upward. These conspiracy theories are nonsense. But when you look
- 11:22at this and say Mask continue to run Dolly after an inspection in June,
- 11:31after a accident in twenty sixteen, why didn't they just put the ship out
- 11:35of commission and really reevaluate. It doesn't make sense to me. So I
- 11:46hope Mask and not the taxpayers, are held accountable for fixing this mess.
- 11:50President Biden, while you're right here with Lizzo and not the family of Officer
- 11:56Dillar, I'm sorry that you can't make time for a cop who laid his
- 12:03life on the line, got himself killed in line of duty for our city,
- 12:11and yet you're asking taxpayers to pay this bridge an aid package for Baltimore,
- 12:22but not holding the company Marisk responsible for this. Something's gotta change with
- 12:28that, And you're itinerary, all right, Terry Tucker and maybe Jeff Mordock
- 12:35today and tomorrow here on the Alex Garrett Podcast Network. But this has been
- 12:37my Alex at six. God rest the soul of Officer Jonathan Diller, and
- 12:48may our left of center friends remember that they will barrow for him. Is
- 12:56the reason why our cops are going into retirement or losing their life in the
- 13:05line of duty. Nothing's good come out of that has come out of that
- 13:09Bell reform. So it's a ball dform. That's my Alex at six.
