- 2:53to begin, and there's a time to end. Think about that. There's
- 2:57a time to start something and then there's a time to say goodbye. All
- 3:00good things might come to an end. So tonight we have a special guest,
- 3:04someone that is dear to my heart. What can I say about this
- 3:07awesome man of God. He's our brother, He's an a possible. He's
- 3:09a bishop, man of God. He's a father for Oh my God,
- 3:15he's he's a songwriter, he's a psalmist, he's an author. He's a
- 3:20chef in his own right. Listen, this man of God can cook,
- 3:23he cleans, oh my God, you name it. He's a serial entrepreneur.
- 3:29I love everything about him, even to the fact that he even been
- 3:31added a new accolade, which is he took on the role of a politician.
- 3:37He's been doing great things in his community. So I'm gonna present the
- 3:40summit, introduced to others, my brother Bishop Jay Antoinemina Senior. Are you

- 3:51I am better than amazing, sir. And I'm so glad you here
- 3:54because tonight it's a very special show. And let me tell you why.
- 4:00Because we begin with there's a time to start, there's a time to end,
- 4:04and tonight as a special show because tonight is my last night of doing
- 4:10this podcast. Um to health reasons, I must um step away and focus
- 4:16on my um um focus on my health. So I called on a surprise
- 4:21host on tonight. I'm introducing him in a second because I gotta take it
- 4:26back to where it started. I gotta take it back to where it begins.
- 4:30And do you know how me and my husband met, sir? I
- 4:35have no idea, Sir. We met September September twenty ten at your church
- 4:46in Fayetville, Siletown, above a loft or something I forget. I was
- 4:53with the Stuffs conference and he was not my husband at the time. But
- 5:00we met at your church. So what better way to end my show than
- 5:04with the two men that are important to me to do it the course of
- 5:09you at your at your church that I met my husband. Of course he
- 5:14didn't. I'm mad at you to remember that. I was like, you
- 5:16don't remember me. He does not remember me at all. You know me
- 5:21through Apostle Adolf More. We know we met through the step. So tonight,
- 5:30as you see, I'm coughing, I was diagnosed with lung disease,
- 5:33and we're trusting God, we're praising God, we're believing Gods that we ain't
- 5:39having no pity parties over here. Please don't no one calling me after this
- 5:41like, oh my god, listen, listen, listen. I just said
- 5:44that, So no one gonna think, oh she coughing, no crazy,
- 5:46no no. So that's why I called on your brother, my brother,
- 5:50to be the co host on tonight. So, doctor Adolf More, are
- 5:55you there, front and center, front and center. You guys have been
- 6:03chatted You guys have been chatting up a storm that stage. So listen.
- 6:12The last time I called them um to be the surprise hole, he said,
- 6:15listen, just just just let me take over the driving where and let
- 6:18grown folks talk. So I'm gonna continue. I'm gonna pass the well back
- 6:23to you. Apploist to Aidolph More. He did not remember how we met
- 6:29in twenty ten, but it would be three years later that he crept into
- 6:32my inbox as if he didn't remember me, but I knew exactly who he
- 6:36was. Come on, look at God. So listen here we are about
- 6:42to celebrate ten years of marriage in September. In September, I'm sorry on
- 6:46December. So I'm gonna shut up and get out the way, and I'm
- 6:50gonna allow my special co host to interview you on tonight's Apostle More is in
- 6:57your hands. You gotta go ahead, all right, let's go, let's
- 7:01go. Let's not waste no time, all right. So my brother,
- 7:09Archbishop apostle doctor. I know you don't care about all that, but I
- 7:15just want to salute you and celebrate all the accomplishments that you have made and
- 7:23the fact that you're you're in a politician and you I think you were running
- 7:28from me to the council or some of those things. So let me ask
- 7:32you this first number one, I'm gonna ask you two questions, maybe three,
- 7:38but number one, why isn't why is it important to know what political
- 7:46party you belong to? In two, why is it important? Did you?
- 7:54Why is it important to you? Did you want to make a difference
- 7:58in the city. Let me let me kind of answer those in reverse.
- 8:03Um, let me answer those reverse, um, why I want to make
- 8:09a difference in the city. A lot of people when we look at politicians
- 8:13and we look at politics, we have a tendency to focus on the national
- 8:16or even the state level. But the truth of the matter is your your
- 8:20kitchen table issues, the stuff that affects you right now, your day to
- 8:24day life is affected on the local level. And sow what what national and
- 8:30state politicians are very good at is deflecting your attention from the local level so
- 8:35that you can focus on them, while really what's destroying your everyday life is
- 8:41happening at your local city council, is happening at your local county commission,
- 8:46is happening at your local school board. And they don't want you to focus
- 8:50on that. They want you to focus on stuff that that won't affect you
- 8:54for another fifteen twenty years. And the truth of the matter is the stuff
- 8:58that legislation that gets passed on the state and the national level. Local officials,
- 9:07your city council, your mayors, your your county commissioners, your school
- 9:11board members, they have the ability to say no, so they don't have
- 9:16to go along with what is dictated from the state and the federal level.
- 9:22We saw this during COVID. During the height of COVID, many states and
- 9:28many local municipalities said, we're not following the lockdown orders. Why. Because
- 9:33America is a federalist society. The federal government has a very limited amount of
- 9:37power. They do not have as much authority and power as they pretend to
- 9:43have. What gives them the power is the fact that many people, and
- 9:50I'll just be blunt with it, many people are ignorant to the fact that
- 9:52they really don't have that much power anyway, and so we get so focused.
- 10:00I'm gonna get to you to your first question. Next. I was
- 10:01talking to a young man the other day, uh, and we were talking
- 10:05about voting and voting for president. I said, you do realize that you
- 10:11do not elect the president. What you mean, your vote does not elect
- 10:16the president of the United States. The president of the United States is elected
- 10:20by the electoral College. That that is the only body constitutionally that elects the
- 10:26president. When we vote in a presidential election, we are saying to the
- 10:30electoral college that this is the way that we would like you to vote.
- 10:35This is the guy or gal that we would like you to vote for for
- 10:41president. But the electoral college is under no constitutional obligation to go with the
- 10:48will of the people. The people can vote for one and the electoral college
- 10:52can say, mmm, I don't like them. We're voting Some were voting
- 10:56for this guy over here. And so the gentleman, he said, well,
- 11:00why don't we vote for the electoral college? I said, you do
- 11:03when you elect your state representatives, your senators, and your state reps.
- 11:07They are the ones who select and appoint the delegates that go to the electoral
- 11:13college that vote for the president. So if you really want to affect change
- 11:20on that level, again, it starts more so locally than it does on
- 11:24a national level. UM. And so now I doesn't forgot what your first
- 11:30question was, but political party. Now, when it comes to your political
- 11:37party and why you should why why is it important to know which political party
- 11:41you are you you ascribe to? UM? It is important because political parties
- 11:48since their inception, uh have played am especially in the black community. Come
- 11:54on, in the black community. Most black people don't know that the first
- 12:01black congressional reps. First, the first black members of Congress were Republicans.
- 12:09They were Republicans. Martin Luther King Junior a Republican. Many of our civil
- 12:16rights leaders were Republicans. And many people don't realize this, and so they
- 12:24a lot of time, people will people vote, people go And I've learned
- 12:28this in politics. People will go into the voting booth. They don't care
- 12:31who's on there as long as they got a D, especially black vote.
- 12:33You gotta D behind your name. I'm gonna just check the box. And
- 12:37I had to tell people during the campaign, be sure to check the candidate
- 12:41before you check the box because black people are are historically conservative in our views.
- 12:48Now there is a difference between being a conservative, being a liberal,
- 12:54being a Republican and a Democrat. Republican and Democrat, that's the party,
- 13:01that's the party. Conservative and liberal. Those are the values. So when
- 13:05people ask me, are you a Republican, Yes, I'm a registered Republican,
- 13:09but I am a conservative. Those are my values. Conservative values are
- 13:13founded in Biblical principle. If you look at the Democrat Party, you know,
- 13:20if you look at the Democrat Party, historically, the Democrat Party has
- 13:24always pushed an agenda that has been anti theatrical, and it has been anti
- 13:31God, it has been anti Christ, it has been anti Bible. When
- 13:35you look at what they're pushing down there there, you know it's Pride Month.
- 13:41You know, the Bible says before pride comes a fall. And so
- 13:46we when we look at Pride Month, what what are we proud? We're
- 13:50proud of the fact that that men are changing the natural use as the Bible
- 13:56says. And so the Democrat Party is pushing the suggestion you can't listen you
- 14:01and this is this is me answering your question. You cannot turn on a
- 14:07TV show now without having two men kissing two women kissing on some same sex
- 14:13agenda shoved down you and your children's mind. It's just it just doesn't happen
- 14:18anymore because there's an agenda behind all of this. And so when you go
- 14:22to the to the polls to vote, I would hope the problem, Now
- 14:26this is a hope, this is not a reality. I would hope that
- 14:30you would vote your faith. The problem is Black folk don't vote their faith.
- 14:37They vote their family. So however my family goes, is how I'm
- 14:43going. I ain't got to know nothing about him, you know, And
- 14:48so I'm trying to I'm trying to hold myself here. But even when you
- 14:52look at when you look at the president that we have now, black vote
- 14:58ran out and voted for him, even after even after hearing him with his
- 15:03own mouth say that he didn't want his kids growing up in a racial jungle,
- 15:07going to school with black kids. But they still voted for Why Because
- 15:11that's how family voted. And so I don't want to go against family,
- 15:15even though this goes against my fundamental belief, and it goes against my faith,
- 15:20you know. Um, So it is important that you know that you
- 15:24know your history and the history of the party that you're voting with, because
- 15:30historically the Democrat Party has never been for black people. Never, it never
- 15:33has. So that takes me to another another question. Okay, so you
- 15:39hit on everything for the most part. I wish we had an hour because
- 15:43it's a lot of speak. But I say this every almost every Sunday or
- 15:48Thursday in life and rasement about how social media and society is these sense of
- 15:56tides and us word, it's mazing. You think it's okay to see to
- 16:02me and kissing two women kissing, It's okay. They have a polyander whatever
- 16:07lifestyle where the man you have ten wives, and it's okay to all this
- 16:15steal from it exactly, m dude. The parties you choose to underline the
- 16:25hidden, the hidden things, so you have to really research and search.
- 16:30Just like if we study all bibble to show that ourselves be foom, we
- 16:33got to study and see. Just don't don't vote for him because Mama del
- 16:40Randma dem what democrats and I'm a I'm a Democrat to know, do your
- 16:45due diligence and read, study, see what they are about. Lastly,
- 16:52if you're a man or woman of God, so my next thing to you
- 16:56was this being that you're a man of God. How does that um alter
- 17:04your judgment direct you in the pair the un politically, one thing that I've
- 17:14always said is that I will not allow politics to uh, to cause me
- 17:21to lose my values, to to stir me away. UH. We got
- 17:26a lot of ministers on the city council here, and when you look at
- 17:30how they vote, they clearly don't vote their faith. They vote their base.
- 17:37And when they're when they're going after certain policies, they're voting the way
- 17:41their base wants them to go. And it's happening even in the church.
- 17:45What I have tried to do is when when when I ran for counsel in
- 17:48twenty seventeen and when I ran this last election cycle for mayor, I said,
- 17:53even if I don't win, one thing you will know at the end
- 17:57of the day is that I ran my race, and I ran my campaign
- 18:00with integrity, and I held fast to the truths that and and to the
- 18:04principle that God has put in me. And I'm not wavering. I don't
- 18:07care who it offends. I don't care how you feel about it. I
- 18:11don't care if you don't I got death threats. I got everything, but
- 18:14I wasn't budget. I wasn't not budget because because what does it profit a
- 18:22man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. So I'm gonna I'm
- 18:26gonna sell out my faith and sell out my salvation for a term on the
- 18:30city council, term as mayor. No, no, no, there is
- 18:34an eternal reward that I'm focused on. And so you know, and and
- 18:41and I'm I'm gonna touch on something you said a few minutes ago. You
- 18:45know, people, when your people are going to the polls to vote,
- 18:48stop voting for people just because they look like you. Come on, vote
- 18:52for people who believe like you, who faith like you. I remember when
- 18:57I ran for city council. A gentleman came up to me and he said
- 19:00to me, he said you you you you j And to minor, I
- 19:03said I he said you John might not said I am. He said,
- 19:07um, he said, He said I would have voted for you, but
- 19:10I didn't know you was black. He said, he said, you got
- 19:14a white name, John, white name. He said, if I'd knew
- 19:18you was black, I would have voted for you. My response, and
- 19:19he was, you didn't do your research because this this face was everywhere.
- 19:25Well you went based on the name and left it down. It's biship.
- 19:29We got a couple of minutes. Let me ask you this, this last
- 19:33question. Then we don't ask let people know how they didn't get in contact
- 19:36with you. But my last question for you is this, And you kind
- 19:40of texted, how hard is it being an African American Bill or man man
- 19:47for that matter, and be a Republican? How hard is it? That's
- 19:51a good one. It's hard. It is. You have to fight with
- 19:55everything in you to hold your moral ground. But you have to be willing
- 20:00to fight that fight, and you have to be willing to lose friends.
- 20:03You gotta be. There's preachers that I used to go to their church all
- 20:07the time, but when they found out that I was a Republican, they
- 20:11don't invite me no more, they don't deal with me no more. And
- 20:12my thing is, I never changed. I'm the same guy that used to
- 20:15hoop in your pulpit. I didn't change. What changes Your perception of me
- 20:21has changed? Because there was an image of me that you that you that
- 20:26you caught up. But being a black Republican, being a black Republican who
- 20:30is also a faith leader. It's hard because again in the faith community,
- 20:37especially in the in the Black church, ninety five percent of Black churches are
- 20:45are democrat or liberal and we see this even now. So you're fighting against
- 20:51all of that. You're you're dealing with all of that, but you just
- 20:53got to really hold I tell people all the time, you gotta hold the
- 20:56line, that line apaus the hockey. People fire you on social media.
- 21:03I know you got so much to say, and I would love to talk
- 21:06to you another twenty thirty forty minutes, but our time is short. Letting
- 21:11people know how they can fire you. What's the best way to get a
- 21:15context so they can see more content from you, the easiest way to get
- 21:19in touch with me? And thank you all for having me on the on
- 21:22the podcast tonight and on the broadcast. It's definitely a blessing past the e.
- 21:26I'm definitely praying for you, uh and we know that the prayers of
- 21:30the righteous avail as much. Um. But you can find me on any
- 21:33social media platform. At jay Antoine Minor that's j A n t o I
- 21:40n E in my n R. At j ntoin minor that's TikTok Instagram.
- 21:45I ain't got no only fans, so don't look for me now you know
- 21:48I ain't got the fans page. But anywhere else clothes I thought, no,
- 21:56no, I keeps my clothes on. Praise Jesus ain't here. You
- 22:02ain't gonna get a little jiggle wiggle. But if all social media you can
- 22:08find me at j N too minor um to me in boxman, let's commit
- 22:14I write, Apostle, let you find the words I like to thank you,
- 22:18sir. It meant so much to end my last show with you,
- 22:22taking it back to where it started, and it started ten years ago at
- 22:26your church in Fayettville. And listen, I think off for you. I
- 22:32think after your ministry. I think off of the words you've spoken into my
- 22:34life over my life. I think of being a brother, being a friend
- 22:37to both Apostle and I. Because having not been for you, have I
- 22:41not met you. Have I not took the faith to come down in twenty
- 22:45ten. I was on a sabbatical, you know, I was there for
- 22:48like not even a year. I would have never met the Man of God.
- 22:51So I'm grateful to end this show where it all began. It began
- 22:56with you the words you spoke into my life that I'm seeing the evidence of
- 23:00it today is being manifested. Excuse me as being manifested today. And you
- 23:07know we're believed. You know we have fed you look too. There's no
- 23:11choice what, there's no pity, there's no pity party over here. Listen,
- 23:17our mouth is siling. Listen. We trust God, we already prayed.
- 23:21We're just we're just going through the process. Listen. We didn't get
