- 0:00Speaker 1: 406.7, Atlanta FM, with Cubby and Christine in the morning.
- 0:02Speaker 1: I made it here safely. All my wheels didn't fall
- 0:04Speaker 1: off the car.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 0:07Speaker 1: We were talking about yesterday, what we were doing yesterday.
- 0:09Speaker 1: We were, you know, all of us were running around,
- 0:11Speaker 1: running errands.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:12Speaker 1: So I got my tires rotated. And when it was
- 0:15Speaker 1: all said and done, they said everything was fine.
- 0:18Speaker 2: But you know what?
- 0:18Speaker 1: What we always tell our customers, after you drive 50
- 0:21Speaker 1: or 75 miles, just come back.
- 0:24Speaker 2: You don't have to make an appointment. Just pull up
- 0:26Speaker 2: to the bay and say, I want to get my
- 0:27Speaker 2: torque checked.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Your torque.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Like, check the bolt torque to make sure the lug
- 0:32Speaker 1: nuts are still tight and they didn't loosen up.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I'm like, wait a minute.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I've never heard that before. You mean there's a risk?
- 0:39Speaker 2: Am I like, could all the tires just fall off
- 0:42Speaker 2: at the same time on the turnpike? I've never heard
- 0:46Speaker 2: that before.
- 0:46Speaker 3: I've never heard of that either.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I thought when they were finished with the job.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Yeah, when we're done, we're done.
- 0:49Speaker 2: We're done. They feel good about things.
- 0:51Speaker 3: They take that thing and they go, it's like they
- 0:53Speaker 3: crank it. You know, so that if you had to
- 0:55Speaker 3: change a tire, you can't do it.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 0:57Speaker 2: So I'm living on the edge.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:00Speaker 2: And we have a road trip coming up this weekend.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Go to the bay and let them check it out.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm going to go to the bay and check it
- 1:06Speaker 2: out because it got me nervous.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I was all happy. Like, oh, I want to.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Oh, that's done.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I want to get it done.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Get that off your list.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Check off the box. And now I'm thinking I got
- 1:15Speaker 2: to go back in the next couple of days.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Check my lug nut.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Make sure my lug nuts are. Nice and tight.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Yeah, make sure the lug nuts are tight on the torque.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I don't even know what that is.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Check the bolt torque it said. Bolt torque. Bolt torque.
- 1:28Speaker 1: If you are a mechanic, can you let me know
- 1:29Speaker 1: if I really have to do this? Text us at 44363.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Can you just check yourself? Just go around and go,
- 1:36Speaker 3: that seems tight. I don't know.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Me?
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Seems tight to me. But I have the family
- 1:44Speaker 2: in the car. We have a trip to Virginia.
- 1:46Speaker 3: All right, go to the bay. Pull up to the bay.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I've got to take it seriously, Christine. Yes, you do.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Speaking of taking it seriously, you are going to be
- 1:54Speaker 2: adulting tonight.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, Cubby.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Can you share what you're doing today?
- 1:58Speaker 3: I've never done anything like this. I don't know what
- 2:00Speaker 3: it entails. But I am going to... It's not City Hall.
- 2:04Speaker 3: It's like the Parks Department in Nutley, New Jersey. Because
- 2:08Speaker 3: there's this giant warehouse that's going to be put in
- 2:12Speaker 3: a residential area. Like, where there's a ton of houses
- 2:16Speaker 3: and kids and going to school and, you know, just
- 2:20Speaker 3: a beautiful, busy, peaceful area like you live there because
- 2:23Speaker 3: it's all houses. Okay. some property has been sold and
- 2:26Speaker 3: they're going to put a warehouse in and it's going
- 2:28Speaker 3: to be giant and there's going to be trucks going
- 2:30Speaker 3: in and out all hours.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And people are already talking about it, right?
- 2:34Speaker 3: Noise pollution, how it's going to affect traffic. They're talking
- 2:38Speaker 3: about air pollution. These are the concerns in the neighborhood.
- 2:42Speaker 3: It's not that kind of neighborhood. It's not the place
- 2:43Speaker 3: for it. It's like, go by the highway and.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Do that stuff.
- 2:47Speaker 1: So are you part of a group that's going to
- 2:48Speaker 1: show up at the meeting today and have a.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Sign and go.
- 2:51Speaker 3: No, no. No, I was thinking, hey, hey, ho, ho.
- 2:55Speaker 3: This warehouse has got to go. Hey, hey.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Hey.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Ho, ho. This warehouse has got to go. Hey, hey.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You've already thought it out.
- 3:02Speaker 3: What do you think? I have no idea. I've never
- 3:05Speaker 3: done this kind of thing before. I don't know if
- 3:07Speaker 3: you just sit there and listen to, like, the board's agenda.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I think they have a microphone where you can, like,
- 3:14Speaker 1: stand up and say something, right?
- 3:15Speaker 2: Oh, boy. I don't know.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I get really nervous.
- 3:17Speaker 2: You don't have to.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I get nervous in these situations, but I do have
- 3:19Speaker 3: to because we all have to.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Have you talked to other neighbors and you guys are
- 3:23Speaker 2: going to walk over together?
- 3:23Speaker 3: They're so unhappy. Right. And they're so concerned. Like I said,
- 3:28Speaker 3: this is a neighborhood with little kids walking to school.
- 3:31Speaker 3: This is not the place for it. Wow.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Well, good luck.
- 3:33Speaker 3: It's just not. Thank you.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Are they thinking they're going to come up with a
- 3:36Speaker 2: decision this year?
- 3:37Speaker 3: Supposedly, it's in the final phase. Like, tonight's our last
- 3:41Speaker 3: night to fight it, but we didn't know about it.
- 3:43Speaker 3: If we had known, we probably would have started fighting
- 3:45Speaker 3: a year ago.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Oh, I see.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 3: So I honestly, I don't know. I don't know what's
- 3:50Speaker 3: about to happen again. I've never done anything like this.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You know, if you find out it's a warehouse, though,
- 3:56Speaker 1: you kind of want.
- 3:56Speaker 3: No.
- 3:57Speaker 2: What if it's a nice Amazon? I mean, your packages
- 4:00Speaker 2: will get even quicker.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I understand that. But no, no, we live there because
- 4:04Speaker 3: we don't want to, you know, have a big truck
- 4:08Speaker 3: coming in and out of our driveways and knocking down
- 4:10Speaker 3: the trees and. Please, it's just one little residential area.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Just leave it alone.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Well, I applaud you that you're getting involved. Thank you.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Some people don't get involved and they.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Just sit back and hope it works out in their favor,
- 4:20Speaker 1: but you're going to try to make an impact here.
- 4:22Speaker 3: So good luck. We'll see how it goes, right? I'm
- 4:25Speaker 3: going to try.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Go practice that chant, okay?
- 4:27Speaker 3: Okay, got it.
- 4:28Speaker 2: We've got two pretty cool things coming up next.
