- 0:32Sean McAllister: And I just had a dessert that will deceive your eyes.
- 0:35Sean McAllister: Find out what makes this treat worth a trip to the strip.
- 0:40Dayna Roselli: And a New York restaurant is moving into the former Reo spot at Caesars Palace.
- 0:44Dayna Roselli: We have some new details.
- 0:46Sean McAllister: All that and more this week on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:49Dayna Roselli: Let's spin that wheel.
- 0:58Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 183.
- 1:01Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here along with Dana Roselli.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: And the last week on Vegas Revealed.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: We were talking about the threat of this West Coast hurricane, Hurricane Hillary, that was coming ashore in Southern California.
- 1:16Sean McAllister: The remnants were supposed to batter Las Vegas.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: Well, it was kind of a bust.
- 1:24Sean McAllister: It reached on the Las Vegas Valley floor.
- 1:27Sean McAllister: The mountains got pounded, they did.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean it was fine all weekend, a normal kind of misty, rainy weekend, a little humid, here in Las Vegas.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: Not much happened, so everyone's kind of given the weather service a lot of flak, the local meteorologists a lot of flak, and we made up for it.
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: This week, though, yeah.
- 1:51Dayna Roselli: Just in like five minutes, because it is monsoon right now and there are a couple months over the summer where it's just known we can have a storm pop up out of nowhere.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: Last night I was on the phone, I was in my condo and all of a sudden I heard lightning.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: Or saw lightning, heard thunder, and I was like wait a minute.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: And all of a sudden all the clouds got low and this mist and it started pouring.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: Now it's rare actually to pour rain.
- 2:16Dayna Roselli: I feel like in the center of the valley where I live.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: I feel like it's always in Henderson, it's always out west in Summerlin.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: So I was shocked that we were getting dumped on, but it all happened in like five minutes and then it was gone.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, but all that water coming down did I mean there were parts of the Las Vegas Strip, las Vegas Boulevard, where cars had to drive through standing water, just a block off of the Strip on Paradise Road.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: I mean cars were almost up to their headlights in standing water on that road driving through there.
- 2:48Sean McAllister: So we also saw some casino damage as well, with roofs caving in and water just pouring in from the ceilings.
- 2:57Dayna Roselli: And people always say, like, don't you know this is going to happen.
- 3:00Dayna Roselli: How could that happen?
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: I don't really know the answer to that.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: I think the answer to that is you don't really know if your roof has holes in it until it rains.
- 3:11Sean McAllister: That's a good point.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: And it rains so little here that it's like well, what are you going to do?
- 3:16Sean McAllister: Take a fire hose up there and flood the ceiling and see where it leaks.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah you got a weak spot right.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: I know it is always amazing to see the aftermath and the pictures, but you know it is scary if anyone were standing under that.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: That is obviously a safety concern.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: Luckily we have never had anyone hurt.
- 3:33Dayna Roselli: Usually when it rains, people kind of either well, I wouldn't say go indoors or are indoors already, but we've even had some roofs collapse indoors.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: So I mean, luckily nobody's been hurt, let's put it that way.
- 3:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, but we did get that little dose of rain that we were expecting.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: It just didn't come from that tropical storm that moved through no and, interestingly enough, I was gonna drive over to hot works last night.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: I thought, okay, stay in tonight.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: I'm feeling really tired and I was glad because I would got stuck in that storm and I do not like dry I don't like driving when it's nice so I do not like driving in these storms, but I do want to give a big shout out to hot works, our sponsor.
- 4:17Dayna Roselli: You'll hear more about it in just a little bit, but I just want to tell everyone shawnt take advantage of this august deal because it's almost over.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: You go to a hot works in the henderson or los vegas area and you live here.
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: They're going to wave the ninety nine dollar enrollment fee and it's huge because it's only fifty nine dollars a month.
- 4:36Sean McAllister: But you have to tell them that you heard about the deal right here on vegas revealed.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: That's how you take advantage of this offer yeah, it's great you work out in infrared sauna.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: There's, like I don't even know, more than ten kinds of classes.

- 6:06Sean McAllister: We email us.
- 6:07Sean McAllister: Yeah, we really appreciate.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: Alright, let's get to the super bowl big, big press conference this week.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: I love that we're calling impress conferences again.
- 6:14Dayna Roselli: They used to not Press conferences anymore, so I love it.
- 6:21Dayna Roselli: We had a big super bowl press conference and the nfl was there.
- 6:25Dayna Roselli: We had the super bowl committee there.
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: Our governor of the state of nevada was there.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: Everyone who's anyone was at this huge conference at view studios yeah, it was really impressive.
- 6:37Sean McAllister: They had a lot of activations.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: It looked like you were stepping into the middle of a super bowl ad it really was there to.
- 6:45Dayna Roselli: That was cool and vincelin barney trophy was.
- 6:47Sean McAllister: there was roped off, protected from From all of us people, but we got some pictures with it and we sure did have to write.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was great.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: We learned a lot.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: So we didn't learn who the super bowl Half time headliner is.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: That's kind of the one thing we didn't really learn, but we tried we tried, that's for sure.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: You're gonna hear that coming up in just a little bit, but we did find out a bunch of things.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: If you're coming into town for the super bowl or you're thinking about it, here's what you need to know.
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: The nfl headquarters is gonna be at caesar's palace okay, suit, caesar's palace is the hotel for that.
- 7:20Dayna Roselli: The nfl experience is gonna be at the mandalay bay convention center, which makes sense because it's close to allegiance stadium, right.
- 7:27Dayna Roselli: And then the big kickoff night the monday, february fifth Party kickoff usually does not take place inside the stadium where the super bowl is gonna take place, but this event in 2024, as I said, this year it's not this year because we're in 2023, february of 2024 the kickoff is going to take place inside Allegiant Stadium and the NFL tells us that they love our stadium so much.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: It's way too nice to not have this event in there.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: So we are proud here in Las Vegas that we will have two events, the kickoff night and the Super Bowl inside Allegiant.
- 8:03Sean McAllister: Stadium and that kickoff night.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: It's open to the public.
- 8:06Sean McAllister: They are going to sell tickets for it and I think they start at $30.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: Good, so I'm super reasonable price to get in and it's kind of like the kickoff pep rally.
- 8:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, you know, you have both teams coming in.
- 8:18Sean McAllister: They're really just builds all the excitement for Super Bowl week yeah, that should be a good one if you can get.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: I wonder when you know when those go on, go on sale, they'll go quick they will.
- 8:28Dayna Roselli: I know I'll be sitting there trying to get sure.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: So it's been less.
- 8:31Dayna Roselli: We're there covering it possibly, okay.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: Well, we also were able to talk with a couple people to get some information, get some thoughts.
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: We got some one-on-one interviews.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: One person we talked to was Peter O'Reilly and he works for the NFL.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: He was there at the press conference representing the NFL yeah, we also spoke with Sandra Douglas Morgan.
- 8:51Sean McAllister: She is the president of the Las Vegas Raiders, also vice president of the Las Vegas Super Bowl host committee, so we spoke with both of them, pulled them aside and got some good new details and I know you can't talk about the halftime performance, but can you tell us some of the entertainment they'll be surrounding some of the events that week leading up to Super Bowl?
- 9:10Peter O'Reilly: not a lot that I can go into detail on right now.
- 9:13Peter O'Reilly: On that, more to come.
- 9:14Peter O'Reilly: Obviously, as I mentioned, we will be announcing this fall Apple Music Super Bowl halftime performer will also, as we get closer to the game, announce pregame talent.
- 9:23Peter O'Reilly: National anthem America the beautiful, lift every voice and sing and then we will be our partners at on location we creating a Super Bowl music fest with a great talent lineup around that, which is always really special on the nights leading up to the game.
- 9:35Peter O'Reilly: So maybe an unfulfilling answer with a lack of detail on talent, but that will come in spades as we get into the fall.
- 9:41Peter O'Reilly: Would encourage people to come in early and you know we talked about Super Bowl experience on the Wednesday or opening night.
- 9:47Peter O'Reilly: If you could make a week of it, then you're here before it is the full on Thursday, friday and Saturday nights and creating that for information would encourage people to go to Super Bowl comm.
- 9:57Peter O'Reilly: That'll be updated regularly.
- 9:58Peter O'Reilly: Where they could, you'll find out the best ways to get tickets or passes to anything going on.
- 10:04Peter O'Reilly: That's just your hub for everything Super Bowl dot com you excited.
- 10:07Dayna Roselli: How excited are you about this?
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: I know it's a lot of work.
- 10:09Sandra Douglass Morgan: It is a lot of work, and I really want to give kudos to my team at the Raiders.
- 10:12Sandra Douglass Morgan: We have someone on every single subcommittee.
- 10:14Sandra Douglass Morgan: It's for the Super Bowl host committee to make sure that we're in lockstep with, you know, the NFL and the host committee, and so I really want to thank them, because it's they're doing it on top of their day jobs and so it is a large, herculean effort.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: We're going to make sure we're doing it the right way so that people continue to come back to Las Vegas do you know if we can expect anything special when it comes to entertainment, like the whole week, all the events we're having?
- 10:34Dayna Roselli: I'm assuming Vegas is going to do it bigger and better.
- 10:37Dayna Roselli: Are we gonna have a lot of live?
- 10:38Sandra Douglass Morgan: music Vegas themed kind of think there's gonna be amazing things as the host committee is going to have with live music.
- 10:45Sandra Douglass Morgan: You know, ticketed events, non-ticketed events, things that are family-friendly there's gonna be definitely something for everyone.
- 10:50Sandra Douglass Morgan: They should book now if they haven't already.
- 10:52Sandra Douglass Morgan: They should also look for Raider games to.
- 10:54Sandra Douglass Morgan: You know, I'm gonna say that every time, dana well, listen.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: I went to the preseason game and I noticed how many 49ers fans there were in the stands, because they were able to get here from California.
- 11:05Sandra Douglass Morgan: Yeah you know what, like we know, we knew at the time that the stadium was being built that because Las Vegas is such an amazing destination city that there were going to be people coming from all over to enjoy our games, and so we want to make sure obviously we're having a great quality football product on the field.
- 11:18Sandra Douglass Morgan: Obviously we're gonna support the football team however we can, but we also want to make sure that it's a great experience for anyone who comes to lead at stadium, regardless if it's for a Raider game or for an event or a concert.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: So so there you have it.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: That's as much information as we could get, but I think we got some good stuff we did, and they at this press conference.
- 11:35Sean McAllister: They also talked about a lot of community initiatives, some charity involvement that will see play out during Super Bowl week as well.
- 11:43Sean McAllister: So very well-rounded program.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: The NFL knows exactly what it's doing, yeah, when it puts on these events right, right, and you know it was interesting to hear that Caesars Palace is kind of the NFL headquarters, because we've noticed lately that they've been really kind of well upping their game and what I mean is, you know, announcing more and more kind of reduce and also restaurants that are coming in, because you and I were talking recently saying, you know, caesars Palace really hasn't added any new restaurants.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: They did add Stanton social, which we're gonna talk about in our tips.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: But also there are a couple spots that have been shut down that were like what it?
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: What are they gonna be?
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: Right, the old rayo spot, what's gonna happen there?
- 12:23Dayna Roselli: It can't just be shut down for a long period of time.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: Something's got to be coming in, and we did finally learn that the Peter Luger steakhouse is gonna be opening in the rayo spot and it's gonna be just in time for the Super Bowl yeah, that's coming up.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: This fall, peter Luger steakhouse is opening over at Caesars Palace and of course, that venue has an incredible patio that overlooks the pool area.
- 12:46Sean McAllister: The inside is, I mean, it's a really big footprint it is that restaurant takes up a great bar area too, so we're excited for that.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: Also, where old homestead steakhouse used to be over at Caesars Palace, that by the end of 2023, is going to turn into Brasserie B.
- 13:05Sean McAllister: This is, you may recall, we've talked about it here before Bobby Flays French restaurant.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: It's a Brasserie that's inspired by like the kind of places that you would have seen in Paris around the 30s and 40s, like very art deco-y right.
- 13:21Sean McAllister: So we're excited for that too.
- 13:24Sean McAllister: That'll be open in time for Super Bowl.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: I know so two new restaurants in some iconic spots, so that'll be perfect.
- 13:30Dayna Roselli: Caesars Palace it sounds like they are ready to go to be the NFL headquarters.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: I usually come in from the back and I know the other day you said you actually went in toward the front and saw the front lobby and it did look really good.
- 13:41Sean McAllister: Some of the upgrades yeah, like if you come in from the valet area or if you're walking on the strip and you come in if you know where, like the absinthe tent is kind of by the registration desk.
- 13:51Sean McAllister: Caesars has redone that entire front area of the hotel and casino and it looks beautiful good, good it does.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: It really looks great.
- 14:03Dayna Roselli: Oh good, okay.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: Well, they are ready, then.
- 14:05Dayna Roselli: Nfl headquarters at Caesars Palace.
- 14:07Dayna Roselli: If you want to spot some people, or if you want to be at the hotel during the Super Bowl, you know where to book and you should do it soon yes, we have more football to talk about actually, but this is kind of like the virtual kind of football right, listen, I know nothing I'm just gonna put it out there about fantasy football, but I was asked to be part of this women's fantasy football league and I said sure, because I love a good game.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: I do like to watch football, but I did not know how involved this is show oh, involved is in understatement it really is.
- 14:44Dayna Roselli: Listen.
- 14:45Dayna Roselli: We went to Circa Las Vegas.
- 14:47Dayna Roselli: I had a blast in the while.
- 14:49Dayna Roselli: We started out at the owner's suite, we had a little mingle session, some food, some drink, and then we we started the draft inside the hospitality suite there at Circa.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: They have been doing this for a long time.
- 15:01Dayna Roselli: We pulled aside the full-time fantasy sports owner though to kind of talk to us a little bit about fantasy football.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: You know what it entails, how they partner with Circa here in Las Vegas, and also just kind of like the rise in popularity.
- 15:17Dayna Roselli: So we chat with Ian Richie.
- 15:19Dayna Roselli: Let's run that interview.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: Hey, ian.
- 15:22Dayna Roselli: First let's talk about the popularity and the rise of fantasy football leagues.
- 15:26Dayna Roselli: I mean, it just seems like everyone's a part of one lately, every season.
- 15:29Ian Ritchie: It keeps getting bigger and bigger every year and as soon as we think it's kind of slowing down, it just grows the following year.
- 15:34Ian Ritchie: And just the excitement people have of interacting with their friends and each other and the camaraderie it creates, it's just going to keep growing over the next handful of years for sure.
- 15:42Sean McAllister: And this is Dana's very first fantasy football draft ever.
- 15:46Sean McAllister: So what is your advice to her?
- 15:49Ian Ritchie: Oh my gosh, enjoy it and have fun.
- 15:52Ian Ritchie: Don't be stressed about your picks.
- 15:53Ian Ritchie: There's enough tools that can help you draft a good team, but just enjoy the experience of it and don't stress.
- 15:59Ian Ritchie: A lot of people get very stressed out in their drafts because they don't know what they're doing, but the draft tools make it a lot easier.
- 16:03Ian Ritchie: So just enjoy it and take as many receivers in our format as you can.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: Well, and I was going to say I mean, you guys have been doing this in town and you're now partnering with Circa.
- 16:13Dayna Roselli: This is your first year partnering with Circa.
- 16:16Ian Ritchie: It is.
- 16:16Ian Ritchie: It's our first year with Circa and this is the launch year.
- 16:18Ian Ritchie: It's kind of the let's test and learn year Before next year.
- 16:22Ian Ritchie: We start marking this contest together over the future because we plan to be here for a long time.
- 16:26Dayna Roselli: I was going to say good, because it's my first draft and then your first partnership with Circa, and so we're ready to start something fresh, aren't we?
- 16:32Ian Ritchie: We absolutely are starting something fresh.
- 16:34Ian Ritchie: I love it.
- 16:35Sean McAllister: And this league is different from some of the other leagues that people might know.
- 16:40Sean McAllister: Explain why.
- 16:43Ian Ritchie: The World Championships have the best players from around the country.
- 16:45Ian Ritchie: Actually, there's some from Mexico that come in, a few from Europe, some from Canada, but the best players from around the whole country fly in here to compete against each other every single year.
- 16:53Ian Ritchie: So on a player basis, it's the top players in the world competing against each other.
- 16:56Ian Ritchie: All the top players and all the fantasy rankings are here.
- 16:58Ian Ritchie: That's one.
- 16:59Ian Ritchie: And the second thing that makes our contest very difficult is we have an 11 person starting lineup instead of 10.
- 17:04Ian Ritchie: It really increases the amount of skill that it takes on buy weeks and injuries to fill your team with really good players on a week-to-week basis.
- 17:11Ian Ritchie: So we tried to maximize the skill and take as much luck out as we could so the top players could really compete head-to-head against each other.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: Well, and do you think Vegas is a draw, just in general, just doing, I mean, because we're the entertainment capital of the world, I mean we're known for sports betting, so I mean, do you think there's more of a draw to bring people here, because I know people come from out of town, like you said?
- 17:33Ian Ritchie: Everybody loves coming to Vegas.
- 17:34Ian Ritchie: There's such a crossover with fantasy and gambling folks that it's just a natural for fantasy fans to come here, and what Circa has done for us and what Derek Stevens has created for us is a longer runway.
- 17:43Ian Ritchie: Our contest used to just be the opening weekend of NFL, but what we've created with Circa is now we have a Circa draft series where we have a runway that starts in the middle of August.
- 17:50Ian Ritchie: So we've extended the draft season for a lot of players to be able to come to Las Vegas and enjoy it if they can't come opening weekend, because this is the natural place for fantasy people to come and watch football.
- 17:59Sean McAllister: And, speaking of draft season, people are still going to be drafting after they hear this interview with you, and so what is your best advice for people who are going in to this fantasy season?
- 18:14Sean McAllister: Are there any players that you have your eye on?
- 18:18Ian Ritchie: Definitely there's people we have our eye on, there's people I have my eye on not to take.
- 18:22Ian Ritchie: So I'll start with all those.
- 18:23Ian Ritchie: I really do like players in the middle rounds at Running Backs this year.
- 18:26Ian Ritchie: I think there's a lot of good value there with the Travis Etn, with the Damian Pierce.
- 18:30Ian Ritchie: I think we actually like the Raiders tight end Michael Mayer, who's going in our drafts quite a bit earlier than any normal draft we have in, projected for 55 to 60 catches this year, which is far and away more than most.
- 18:40Ian Ritchie: But I like a lot of the sleeper guys.
- 18:42Ian Ritchie: The early picks are a lot easier for people, so I kind of go a little bit deeper into the drafts.
- 18:46Ian Ritchie: I like Robert Woods from Houston as you get longer and further out, the sleepers get deeper.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: Gosh.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: So much pressure for these players.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: Now you know why they get paid a lot.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: Right, they got fantasy leagues watching them.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: We've got just people who are just into football in general and the team and I and the Super Bowl Listen, ian, we've got to get going because I need to go do my draft.
- 19:05Dayna Roselli: I'm excited.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: Thanks for having me a part of this.
- 19:08Ian Ritchie: Thank you so much.
- 19:08Ian Ritchie: We're really excited to have the first annual Women of Fantasy draft here, and we make it an annual thing for us.
- 19:14Sean McAllister: So, dana, you know that me and, more specifically, my husband, shane, are going to be here to help make decisions and change your roster throughout the season.
- 19:25Sean McAllister: Help do some maintenance on the team as the need arises.
- 19:30Sean McAllister: So hopefully you'll be in the running for that $50,000 grand prize.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: Let's hope.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: Listen, I'm counting on you guys, but I'm also hoping to learn a little bit more and this will be something that I'll pick up and then just want to do again next year.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: But it was great In the league we had Mercedes.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: Mercedes is popular morning show here in town and you can check her out on Channel 8.
- 19:52Dayna Roselli: Jj, who hosted the Morning Blend for many years at Channel 13 and I've worked with her for many years she was part of the league or is part of the league.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: So there's Team JJ, Team Roselli and Team Mercedes as far as on-air personalities go, and so we're all kind of hoping that.
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: I feel like it's really, you know, it's competitive.
- 20:14Sean McAllister: It's very competitive and you have the Women's Fantasy Football World Champion.
- 20:20Sean McAllister: We do that is also in this league, so I mean it's stiff competition.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: I feel like sometimes the underdog just comes out of nowhere.
- 20:28Sean McAllister: Well, let's hope.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: It's me.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: Let's hope, let's hope.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: Well, let's move on and talk about some things happening in Las Vegas in September.
- 20:36Dayna Roselli: Actually, there are tons and tons and we keep getting press releases, so we can't get through it all.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: But something that I did want to mention because it is a he is a classic Las Vegas staple is Mr Las Vegas himself, wayne Newton, coming back to the Flamingo.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: He'll be doing a show at Bugsy's Cabaret and I think that everyone should go see Wayne.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: We were even saying we'd like to see this show.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: We haven't seen this specific one, but he tells stories, he sings some of his hits and really has conversations with the audience.
- 21:06Dayna Roselli: So I think it's going to be a really intimate personal experience.
- 21:10Sean McAllister: And getting to know Wayne over the years.
- 21:12Sean McAllister: He has endless stories.
- 21:16Sean McAllister: I mean there are presidents who he's performed for and become friends with.
- 21:21Sean McAllister: He has things I mean he was around during the Rat Pack era of Las Vegas and has great stories with all those guys.
- 21:28Sean McAllister: He has things that Sinatra has given him and I mean there are some really great nuggets and stories that Wayne will share up on stage over at Flamingo.
- 21:40Sean McAllister: So that is definitely something that you should put on your list.
- 21:44Dayna Roselli: And he's been in so many movies, when there's like, like, he's like the face of lot, like you know Vegas vacation.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: It's like Wayne Newton's in it wasn't Wayne.
- 21:51Dayna Roselli: Was Wayne in hangover?
- 21:52Dayna Roselli: I can't remember.
- 21:53Dayna Roselli: I feel like he was, but maybe he probably should be I know, I feel like maybe he was, but maybe I'm thinking of Vegas vacation.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: But anyway, so many Vegas movies where, if you need to like, show Las Vegas in a certain way, it's like it's like that saying that's popular on social media Show me you're from Las Vegas without.
- 22:12Sean McAllister: Yes, exactly, you're from Las Vegas.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: I would put Wayne Newton's face up.
- 22:15Sean McAllister: Wayne Newton and a show girl.
- 22:17Sean McAllister: Right there we go, so Wayne's show is coming back this fall Also.
- 22:21Sean McAllister: Mexican Independence Day weekend is always huge here in Las Vegas, and this year is no different.
- 22:28Sean McAllister: There are concerts all over the place and tons of events happening as well.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, it's endless, so we can't mention them all.
- 22:35Dayna Roselli: But also, like we noticed, a lot of the different restaurants and mall areas, like the Grand Canal shops are having special activations all weekend live music, drink specials, food specials so go and figure out where you want to go celebrate Mexican Independence Day.
- 22:53Dayna Roselli: I know our mall fashion shows doing something as well.
- 22:55Dayna Roselli: We know Luis Miguel's coming in Is it Gabriel?
- 22:59Dayna Roselli: Like so many artists will be here.
- 23:01Dayna Roselli: There's a big festival in the downtown Las Vegas event center the Rombaza Festival.
- 23:06Sean McAllister: You know what?
- 23:07Sean McAllister: I'll put a rundown of all the Mexican Independence Day stuff, a lot of the stuff that we've gotten into our inbox.
- 23:13Sean McAllister: I'll compile that into a blog post and put it at Vegas-revealedcom.
- 23:19Sean McAllister: So go there and check out the list.
- 23:20Sean McAllister: There's going to be a lot for you to choose from.
- 23:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, hey, listen, I went to the grand opening of the Juliet Cocktail Room over at Venetian, just wanted to mention it was a great night Live music.
- 23:31Dayna Roselli: Mark Wahlberg was there too.
- 23:33Dayna Roselli: Mark always shows up at a lot of the local hot spots now and he was behind the bar pouring shots of his tequila his Fletcha tequila Always a good guy.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: He's so respectful, so kind and just really mixes in well with the locals.
- 23:48Dayna Roselli: So it was nice to see Mark Wahlberg there.
- 23:49Dayna Roselli: Listen, it's a cool spot.
- 23:51Dayna Roselli: They've got couches, a great bar area, like I mentioned.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: There's a little area right when you walk in where there was a singer and so there'll be some live music there.
- 24:00Dayna Roselli: It's a great lounge, just like if you want to pop in for a drink or if you want to spend a couple hours there with friends.
- 24:07Dayna Roselli: Lots of space there and lots of couch space right in front of the bar.
- 24:10Sean McAllister: And it looked very.
- 24:11Sean McAllister: I wasn't able to go, but it looked very moody too.
- 24:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 24:15Sean McAllister: Like a good place just to sit down and chill Dark, have some cocktails conversation, that kind of a deal, yeah.
- 24:22Dayna Roselli: It was really cool.
- 24:22Dayna Roselli: You listen.
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: A good casino lounge like off the casino is needed, Because sometimes you just want to gamble.
- 24:29Dayna Roselli: You need a break yes, you need a break.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: Or you want to hit a spot with either a date, a group of friends, before or after dinner.
- 24:38Dayna Roselli: You're not kind of ready to move on just yet, so I think it's a good spot for that.
- 24:42Sean McAllister: So Juliette Cocktail Lounge over at the Venetian.
- 24:45Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some tips now.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some tips.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: We've been meaning to mention this.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: The Imagine Dragons have a concert available now on Hulu that you can watch, and it was recorded here in Las Vegas.
- 25:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, this was their Allegiant Stadium show, that of course this is their hometown.
- 25:05Sean McAllister: There were so many bands who were at that show who have just watched the band grow from playing little casinos, from playing at O'Shea's back in the day I mean, o'shea's isn't even there anymore.
- 25:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, imagine Dragons played there as they were coming up and really becoming the band that they are today and before their national recognition.
- 25:31Sean McAllister: So it was a really kind of a sentimental performance, not only for the band but for the fans who were there to see them.
- 25:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and this is cool.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: It's available on Hulu and so I love watching.
- 25:42Dayna Roselli: You forget when you can watch.
- 25:44Dayna Roselli: There's so many times that we can't get to concerts right Like, think about it Right now if you could sit down even though a lot of it is already online and watch the Taylor Swift era's tour on a big screen it's recorded professionally and just have a night where you feel like you're there.
- 25:59Dayna Roselli: It's a great idea.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: And so I love that this Imagine Dragons concert is available and, like you said, that it has roots and it's from Las Vegas, so that there's a little bit of a motion attached to it, yeah, so be sure to check that out.
- 26:13Sean McAllister: And on top of it, imagine Dragons just have great music too, so you can't go wrong.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: And you know I never talked about this, sean, and this is kind of a little something that is interesting, a little factory.
- 26:24Dayna Roselli: I actually was part of the Imagine Dragons Sharks video.
- 26:28Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: So I didn't make it in.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: Here's the deal.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: There was a.
- 26:31Dayna Roselli: It was all storyboarded out and a lot of times when you shoot music videos you have certain ideas but you don't know if they're going to work in the end when you get in the chopping room.
- 26:39Dayna Roselli: So there was a certain scenario involved in this where I played a news anchor, ok, and then there were also some moving parts where they were trying to get a certain part of that scenario and the person couldn't make it.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: So, anyways, I ended up getting cut from the video.
- 26:57Dayna Roselli: They didn't go with the scenario of the news clip, ok, but I had a blast.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: I was there all day and shot with the crew and Dan Reynolds was there and it was so fun to work with Dan.
- 27:09Dayna Roselli: He was doing the one part.
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: If you go to the Sharks video and you see him kind of jumping over the lasers and going down the hallway, and kind of dancing and stuff.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: So he was right outside doing that.
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: I was in another room doing my news anchor spot.
- 27:21Dayna Roselli: So it was great to work with Dan.
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: It was funny.
- 27:24Dayna Roselli: He took a couple breaks.
- 27:24Dayna Roselli: He had things he had to go do and they're like Dan has something he has to run to, like Dan has to run to a wedding reception.
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: Everyone break for two hours and I love, oh my gosh, he is just fitting in so much into his day.
- 27:35Sean McAllister: Oh my god, just be like.
- 27:36Sean McAllister: Hey guys, you know I have to get to a wedding really quick.
- 27:39Sean McAllister: I'll be right back and we can get the next scene in.
- 27:41Sean McAllister: I know.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: So you know they do that shot out on the Fountains.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: You know where he's surfing on the Bellagio Fountains and you know what.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: They actually did that pretty quick.
- 27:49Dayna Roselli: I mean it took hours but I thought you know that's going to take two days to do something like that, but they had it down.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: It was planned.
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: It was a pleasure to work with the crew.
- 27:59Dayna Roselli: I had a great experience and I just feel like everyone should know I was supposed to be in the video but I wasn't.
- 28:05Dayna Roselli: But it was fun.
- 28:07Sean McAllister: And, just so you know, the entire band, dan, and all of them, wayne.
- 28:11Sean McAllister: They are incredible guys, super nice.
- 28:15Sean McAllister: Their management is super cool.
- 28:17Sean McAllister: So if you think that they're just like big rock stars and not down to earth, wrong, they're super cool yeah, hey, before you want to the next step real quick, I wanted to mention the killers.
- 28:27Dayna Roselli: keep teasing that they are coming out with new music.
- 28:30Dayna Roselli: I think they said they're coming out with a new single, e, p, I can't remember, but there's a show girl in it and so we have a feeling there's gonna be a little bit of a vagus twist to it.
- 28:39Dayna Roselli: She's kind of in an open field and then the latest clip they revealed today and this is we're recording on a thursday is actually like a show girl walking down kind of one of a tunnel right following someone else, so we love the vagus.
- 28:53Dayna Roselli: You know, hook killers are from Las Vegas.
- 28:56Dayna Roselli: Imagine dragons are from Las Vegas, and that's why I thought of that and the killer said that the release of this is is imminent.
- 29:02Sean McAllister: So by the time the podcast comes out, the music may come out to exactly, but as far as we know right now, they're still teasing it.
- 29:11Sean McAllister: All right, my tip of the week, dana, is from stanton social.
- 29:16Sean McAllister: I know we talked about the restaurant Before here on Vegas revealed it's over at caesars palace in the place where a seersucker used to be Right next to omnia right next to omnia and it's like kind of that you know late night Party, ish kind of a vibe.
- 29:33Sean McAllister: you go in for dinner and then go next door to omnia.
- 29:36Sean McAllister: Everything was great, had a great dinner, but it was dessert that I wanna talk about now, because this was a very deceiving dessert okay, well, because we talked in the past about the french onion soup dumplings, that that's their classic item that everyone orders.
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: You had that.
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: It was great right that they were Phenomenal okay, I also want to mention this is a.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: It's run by tau group hospitality right, and they always just like the tau is in bistro.
- 30:03Dayna Roselli: At venetian they have a new restaurant over at I believe it's aria, so they put they have great kind of sexy Fun by the restaurant.
- 30:12Sean McAllister: So stand social is one of those yeah, and the interior of the restaurant is is terrific great food, great service, great cocktails.
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: Okay, the tip sorry okay.
- 30:23Sean McAllister: So there's another show that streaming.
- 30:26Sean McAllister: It's called is it cake?
- 30:28Sean McAllister: Okay, there's a lot of people who like this show it.
- 30:31Sean McAllister: Basically, these bakers create these items to look exactly like.
- 30:38Sandra Douglass Morgan: They're not a great cakes to look like.
- 30:40Sean McAllister: Another item got it and you have to decide.
- 30:42Sean McAllister: Is it cake?
- 30:43Sean McAllister: Right, and that's exactly what this dessert is like.
- 30:47Sean McAllister: It is their strawberry milkshake.
- 30:49Sean McAllister: It comes to your table looking exactly like you would expect a strawberry milkshake to look like, but then you take the big knife, you cut down the middle and you find out this entire thing is edible.
- 31:04Sean McAllister: Okay, the glass, the everything.
- 31:07Sean McAllister: It's a chocolate cake glass, it's cake, it's cake.
- 31:11Sean McAllister: So this is actually strawberry mousse inside with vanilla sponge cake, chantilly cream.
- 31:17Sean McAllister: It served in an edible chocolate cup Topped with whipped cream, a cherry, the whole nine.
- 31:24Sean McAllister: But it looks like you're getting A milkshake from my, like a milkshake ice cream shop.
- 31:31Sean McAllister: Amazing, the whole thing is that it's girl and it was delicious and the thing is, is that takes so much time?
- 31:37Dayna Roselli: you know it's like you got a restaurant with a full menu, right, but you're taking enough time to create these Artisan deserts.
- 31:45Dayna Roselli: Yes, that's talent, that takes talent and it's something special and I feel like that.
- 31:52Sean McAllister: that's what makes it worth going to a restaurant like that and they do that actually with A lot of their menu items and their cocktails.
- 32:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, even the lobster mac and cheese like the.
- 32:04Sean McAllister: You have to take the Head of the lobster off the dish, right.
- 32:08Sean McAllister: And there's a lot of lobster in that mac and cheese.
- 32:11Sean McAllister: Tell you what yeah, all right.
