- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Guess What. I'm joined by Jared again this sweek.
- 0:14Speaker 4: It's Me?
- 0:14Speaker 3: Are you so to me? Chackica, Jared and I will
- 0:18Speaker 3: never be able to say the words it's me without
- 0:21Speaker 3: thinking of Rob Schneider in The Hot Check.
- 0:24Speaker 4: The Hot Check?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Yeah. I love that movie so much.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a great one. Rachel mcaddams before she was
- 0:30Speaker 4: Rachel mcaddams. Yeah, I know, was that before Me and Girls?
- 0:33Speaker 3: I think it may have been like six months before, yeah,
- 0:36Speaker 3: six months before.
- 0:38Speaker 4: So crazy.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:39Speaker 4: I remember thinking she was so hot in that movie,
- 0:41Speaker 4: and then who would have thought, like, oh, that is
- 0:44Speaker 4: Rachel McAdams. That's similar to the movie Almost Time with
- 0:49Speaker 4: I forget the actor's name, but Bill Nye plays the
- 0:52Speaker 4: father where the guy can go and go back in
- 0:54Speaker 4: time and it's right around the time his dad dies.
- 0:57Speaker 4: I don't but Margot Robbie's in it before she was
- 1:00Speaker 4: Marco Robbins.
- 1:01Speaker 2: About Time, I was like, I don't know a movie
- 1:05Speaker 2: called that, Okay, yeah, about Time? And I remember watching
- 1:08Speaker 2: About Time and being like that might be the prettiest,
- 1:10Speaker 2: but have everything in my entire life.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Oh my god, my god, it's so funny because Rachel
- 1:13Speaker 4: McAdams is also in that movie and she plays his
- 1:16Speaker 4: love injury. Yeah, but but she it's hotter well in
- 1:21Speaker 4: that movie, in that movie specifically, But then you have
- 1:24Speaker 4: an argument like who is prettier like Margot, Robbie or
- 1:27Speaker 4: Ray McAdams.
- 1:27Speaker 2: If I understand, there's really there, they're all in there
- 1:31Speaker 2: in that movie.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Yeah, well, of course pretty. But in that movie, hold on,
- 1:35Speaker 4: I gotta finish my Rachel McAdams intentionally doesn't look as
- 1:38Speaker 4: good because I think so, Yeah, they spress.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Her down to look like more like momish exactly.
- 1:45Speaker 4: And and also I forget, god, I forget the guy's name.
- 1:48Speaker 4: But you know, let's be honest, it's not like he's ugly,
- 1:52Speaker 4: but like she's way out of his leag So if
- 1:54Speaker 4: it was Rachel McAdams and him movie, no, it's no.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Jim Sturge is beautiful. I forget he's still.
- 2:04Speaker 2: We have nothing to say about this episode. We'll get well,
- 2:08Speaker 2: we'll get to in a second, but now I just
- 2:09Speaker 2: want to say I thought that should I look it up?
- 2:12Speaker 4: Yeah, he's redhead. He's a really good actor. He was
- 2:15Speaker 4: in Star Wars Glacier. I mean, yep, there he is,
- 2:21Speaker 4: or dom Donald. No, it's Domin Domino. Yeah, it's spelled.
- 2:27Speaker 4: They just had it there. It is doumb Hall. He's
- 2:32Speaker 4: not a bad looking guy by any French, but you know,
- 2:36Speaker 4: I mean Rachel, you know.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Ch Rich McAdams is Jared's like great movie.
- 2:41Speaker 4: By the way, holy Ship, you haven't seen them. I
- 2:43Speaker 4: remember watching that and I was like, who is this blonde?
- 2:45Speaker 4: I know, I thought the same thing.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I was like, am I a lesbian right now?
- 2:50Speaker 4: I was like, listen, I love to because I'm so much,
- 2:52Speaker 4: but bro go with her read of your mind anyway?
- 2:57Speaker 2: Also, could I say that in the Hot Chick where
- 2:59Speaker 2: is where this conversation started, I thought that Anna Faris
- 3:02Speaker 2: was so pretty.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I just want to look like.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I think Anna Faris is pretty underrated.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Have you ever seen the movie Waiting where it's with
- 3:10Speaker 4: her and Ryan Reynolds. They play they work in a restaurant,
- 3:13Speaker 4: justin Long's in. It came out in two thousand and five.
- 3:15Speaker 4: It's an old one never really took off.
- 3:17Speaker 3: The movies are the two of them?
- 3:18Speaker 4: Uh that and Just Friends? But I think she well,
- 3:21Speaker 4: she also wears Eyeliner, which actually knows is my I
- 3:24Speaker 4: love dude.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Jared loves Island, black Eyelander all the way around.
- 3:28Speaker 4: And I think Ana fars is very pretty.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Anyway anyway, okay, well you know who else is very pretty?
- 3:34Speaker 3: All Joan and all her men very pretty, very nice man.
- 3:39Speaker 4: This mentell all was a celebration of the season, which
- 3:43Speaker 4: I am glad they did it this way if they
- 3:46Speaker 4: were going to do a men tell all, I'm glad
- 3:50Speaker 4: that the structure of the show was this and they
- 3:52Speaker 4: didn't try to insert some sort of drama between the
- 3:55Speaker 4: guys and instead just celebrating the friendships that were gathered
- 3:59Speaker 4: like that. Having said that they should just never have
- 4:02Speaker 4: had a mental.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Well okay, but do you know why they had a
- 4:04Speaker 3: mentell all?
- 4:04Speaker 2: In my theory, even though it probably costs them a bit,
- 4:07Speaker 2: I don't know what the ratio is for, like what's
- 4:09Speaker 2: worth it for them.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I'm sure ABC needed a certain set amount of episodes
- 4:13Speaker 4: and what the structure of the show is set in
- 4:15Speaker 4: a way that you know it's it's it's kind of like, well,
- 4:19Speaker 4: of course we'll do a mental all.
- 4:21Speaker 2: No, Okay, my theory is this they did it? Okay, Well, yeah,
- 4:24Speaker 2: you're right, they're always gonna do it. I don't think
- 4:27Speaker 2: there's been a season with that one besides Paradise seasons,
- 4:30Speaker 2: which sometimes people are requesting Paradise seasons over something like that.
- 4:35Speaker 4: It's done some reunions, some.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Sort of catchups.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Now, an episode like this you would think would be
- 4:42Speaker 2: paired with a regular episode just because like we needed more,
- 4:46Speaker 2: especially since it was an hour and a half episode.
- 4:49Speaker 4: This was an hour and a half. It wasn't too yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 4: it felt like to them, No.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Actually it felt short to me. It's so weird.
- 4:56Speaker 2: So normally I would think that they would tack on
- 4:58Speaker 2: like thirty minutes of real drama from like Fantasy Suites
- 5:02Speaker 2: or The Final Two or something, and then they would
- 5:05Speaker 2: put mentel all at the end of that. This week,
- 5:09Speaker 2: I think they're like, okay, well, the plan is to
- 5:11Speaker 2: air it Wednesday after the election. Nobody knows whether or
- 5:16Speaker 2: not the results will be here by then. People are
- 5:19Speaker 2: not thinking about the Golden Bachelorette this week, so it's
- 5:23Speaker 2: perfect timing to throw a mentell.
- 5:25Speaker 3: All on a Wednesday night.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Nobody needs to see it, but it's there as light,
- 5:31Speaker 2: fluffy content if they want it, and if if it
- 5:35Speaker 2: even gets to air.
- 5:36Speaker 4: I agree, Yeah, they probably should have just took a week
- 5:39Speaker 4: off Election week. A lot's going on high.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah, just you know, George, Sorry, she's just talking to me.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Do you think they will I think that in a
- 5:54Speaker 2: regular week, at a regular time, they would have just
- 5:57Speaker 2: like done a back to back episode. They're just like, no, no,
- 6:00Speaker 2: it's okay, Well the store.
- 6:02Speaker 4: I agree, you know what I'm talking about. Yes, of
- 6:03Speaker 4: course they didn't want to put anything consequential into this
- 6:05Speaker 4: episode because they knew exactly not a lot of people
- 6:07Speaker 4: are probably gonna watch it. Yeh, Because it's the day
- 6:09Speaker 4: after election. No one's thinking about the Golden Bachelorette, even
- 6:12Speaker 4: though you know, it was funny. I went on Yahoo
- 6:14Speaker 4: this morning just to check the news, and the top
- 6:17Speaker 4: like scroll side by side was you know, Trump about
- 6:24Speaker 4: Trump winning the election, and then right next door was
- 6:27Speaker 4: Golden Bachelorette recap, and I'm like, god, I can't believe
- 6:29Speaker 4: those two things are side by side.
- 6:31Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 6:32Speaker 2: All right, So the episode itself has absolutely zero drama,
- 6:38Speaker 2: which is as wonderful the least dramatic read and.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Is it wonderful?
- 6:43Speaker 3: No, this is wonderful.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I think it's wonderful because they didn't even try because
- 6:47Speaker 2: they were like, oh, we don't have any so let's
- 6:48Speaker 2: not try. So it's really could have just been called
- 6:52Speaker 2: like the celebration of the men.
- 6:54Speaker 3: You were bored, and I actually thought it was sweet.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I wasn't particularly bored, but I will tell you this,
- 6:59Speaker 3: it's very sweet.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Qualify episodes based on like, is this a scroll episode?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Like where I'm on my phone scrolling or trying to
- 7:05Speaker 2: do something else while watching, which, of course, you guys,
- 7:08Speaker 2: this is my job to recap.
- 7:09Speaker 3: I don't do that, but like it's my compulsion. Do
- 7:12Speaker 3: I wish I would be doing that? You know what
- 7:13Speaker 3: I mean? Now this case, because it was a.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Tell all, I was like, and Jared was already previewing
- 7:19Speaker 2: to me that it was slow or inconsequential. I was like, okay,
- 7:24Speaker 2: well then I'm going to Christmas decorate during this, so
- 7:27Speaker 2: I did okay. And I do have to say that, like,
- 7:30Speaker 2: if I were to sit down and just dedicate my
- 7:33Speaker 2: time fully to this episode would have been like, oh no,
- 7:36Speaker 2: but I was nice to have in the background as
- 7:38Speaker 2: like a podcast. That's what it was to me, a podcast.
- 7:52Speaker 4: This is a great example as to why I'm not
- 7:56Speaker 4: a TV guy because The Bachelor, Right, obviously, it's given
- 8:01Speaker 4: us more in our lives than we could possibly have
- 8:03Speaker 4: ever asked for. It's one of the most successful shows
- 8:06Speaker 4: of all time, longest running shows. I mean, it's it's,
- 8:12Speaker 4: you know, a place in TV history cannot be understated,
- 8:15Speaker 4: the Bachelor franchise. But like every show goes through this
- 8:20Speaker 4: where there's just episodes where it's like, why am I
- 8:25Speaker 4: watching this for an hour and a half? Why am
- 8:27Speaker 4: I watching this? And it's but this is exactly why,
- 8:30Speaker 4: well hold on. But this is exactly why I'm not
- 8:33Speaker 4: a TV guy because there's so many times with multitude
- 8:36Speaker 4: of television shows, whether it be I don't know, breaking
- 8:40Speaker 4: bad or whatever you're you're biting not breaking bad.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Every episode is consequent Ozarks. I thought that was too
- 8:48Speaker 2: slow to continue?
- 8:49Speaker 4: Is it Ozark or Ozark Ozark?
- 8:52Speaker 3: Anyway?
- 8:53Speaker 4: Ozark one of the widely considered one of the greatest shows.
- 8:56Speaker 4: But like so many times, there's episodes I hear from
- 8:58Speaker 4: people like, oh, you got to get through four episodes
- 9:01Speaker 4: and then it gets really going. It's like, so you're
- 9:03Speaker 4: telling me I got to dedicate almost five hours of
- 9:05Speaker 4: my life.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Will tell me that what's the show that with Catherine O'Hara.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Oh, I get the uh sure, like, oh no, I'm
- 9:15Speaker 4: oh it, Shit's creak.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Yeah, shit's creak.
- 9:17Speaker 2: People tell me that I have to watch the whole
- 9:19Speaker 2: first season it shit's creaked to start to like it.
- 9:22Speaker 3: At the beginning of season two?
- 9:23Speaker 4: What are we doing with our lives?
- 9:24Speaker 3: You know?
- 9:25Speaker 4: And I get that people do that, and it's a thing,
- 9:27Speaker 4: and I respect it because I wish I could do.
- 9:29Speaker 3: It with some shows and some shows you don't.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And my retaliation point is that we love TV because
- 9:36Speaker 2: we get so close to the characters.
- 9:37Speaker 3: We feel like we really know them so much more
- 9:40Speaker 3: than a movie.
- 9:41Speaker 2: In an episode like this where mental all super sweet,
- 9:44Speaker 2: no drama filler episode, we just want to see them.
- 9:48Speaker 2: We just want to see more of their personality. And
- 9:50Speaker 2: that's all we just.
- 9:51Speaker 4: That's fair, that's fair.
- 9:52Speaker 2: You don't like, you don't like, you don't need the Yeah,
- 9:56Speaker 2: there's something you don't need, access personality.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I love character development, give me all of it.
- 10:01Speaker 4: I love character precise, but no, there's also a subtlety
- 10:06Speaker 4: to character development that I really appreciate. Like in movies,
- 10:10Speaker 4: you know, there's so much to be said in silent
- 10:12Speaker 4: moments like one of the this I always uses an example.
- 10:15Speaker 4: I'm sorry and going off track right now, but I
- 10:17Speaker 4: not really if you get me on this podcast, I'm sorry,
- 10:20Speaker 4: this is what we're going to talk about. But there's
- 10:21Speaker 4: a scene in the party where I could talk about this.
- 10:24Speaker 4: So there's a scene between Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon
- 10:27Speaker 4: and uh, forget Martin Sheen's character dies, he's like the
- 10:32Speaker 4: Captain DiCaprio has his phone or like he's got the
- 10:34Speaker 4: rats phone or something like that, and Matt Damon calls
- 10:37Speaker 4: the phone and Leo knows it's the Rat but doesn't
- 10:40Speaker 4: know who it is, and he picks up the phone. No, no,
- 10:43Speaker 4: it's just dead silence. Yeah, yeah, And it just puts
- 10:45Speaker 4: back and forth between both guys just hearing each other
- 10:48Speaker 4: breathe on the phone. And in that moment, there is
- 10:50Speaker 4: more character development in that twenty seconds of silence than
- 10:54Speaker 4: in most movies, you know what I mean. It's just
- 10:57Speaker 4: like it's it's a chef's kiss.
- 10:59Speaker 3: It is great. I see it play in my head
- 11:01Speaker 3: right now.
- 11:03Speaker 4: That like just everything in that moment, the tension just
- 11:07Speaker 4: just oh god, it's so good.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Anyway, Okay, during the strip day, Jonathan says that he's
- 11:13Speaker 2: never stripped before. It didn't we didn't believe him, and
- 11:17Speaker 2: then they reasked the question here.
- 11:20Speaker 4: He has never done it, professor. Very funny, That was
- 11:23Speaker 4: very funny.
- 11:24Speaker 2: We also find out that Jonathan has a girlfriend, which
- 11:29Speaker 2: means that Jonathan is off of the Golden Bachelor list,
- 11:33Speaker 2: which is disappointing to me as it seems as if
- 11:37Speaker 2: Mark might also have a girlfriend. So to my two
- 11:40Speaker 2: lead picks both have girlfriends.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Is there going to be a Golden Bachelor.
- 11:47Speaker 3: And they were casting for it in the commercials?
- 11:49Speaker 4: Oh? Then yes? Oh okay. Do you think that they
- 11:53Speaker 4: should pick someone from Jones season or do they Do
- 11:55Speaker 4: you think that they should pick.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Uh celebrity studcaster?
- 11:59Speaker 4: Yeah, like an old celebrity. I mean because listen, obviously
- 12:04Speaker 4: I love the format of the show.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I think it needs a little pick me up.
- 12:07Speaker 4: I think it needs a little pick me up.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I think this might be a little pick when we
- 12:09Speaker 3: might need it.
- 12:10Speaker 4: So, who do you haven't.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Done a celebrity stunt casting? In Forever? Jesse was the
- 12:15Speaker 2: celebrity stunt casting.
- 12:16Speaker 3: So was Baldwin? Wasn't Baldwin one of the Baldwin brothers, right.
- 12:21Speaker 4: I have.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I thought he was. I was very young when his
- 12:24Speaker 3: season came out.
- 12:25Speaker 2: And then there was the Prince that was kind of stunty,
- 12:28Speaker 2: but Jesse was the celebrity stunt cast.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I bet that there's an older celebrity who would
- 12:35Speaker 4: be willing to do You definitely be down to do it.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:38Speaker 2: They plugged Charles as possibly the next Bachelor, a Golden Bachelor.
- 12:43Speaker 2: As they they call him out in the middle of
- 12:45Speaker 2: the crowd. They have some you know stage moment where
- 12:48Speaker 2: a fan says, Charles for Golden Bachelor.
- 12:52Speaker 3: If not, then my mom, I.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Know, it's so sweet. Do you do matter the mom?
- 12:57Speaker 3: Do you do you not think that Charles couldn't carry
- 12:59Speaker 3: this show?
- 13:00Speaker 4: Do you?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Okay, let me tell you.
- 13:03Speaker 2: At first I thought this is wacky, this is the
- 13:07Speaker 2: sweetest man.
- 13:09Speaker 3: And then but I was like, but he can't carry
- 13:12Speaker 3: the show.
- 13:12Speaker 4: No, he can't carry the show.
- 13:13Speaker 2: And then I thought, who of this group do I
- 13:16Speaker 2: actually want to watch more of? It? Is Charles and
- 13:20Speaker 2: he is the most endearing person I've really ever come across,
- 13:26Speaker 2: like the most so can.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You imagine twenty five older women? I guess when you Yeah, if.
- 13:34Speaker 2: You want a Golden bachelor that is just like you
- 13:37Speaker 2: cannot stop watching it because he's just too cute and
- 13:42Speaker 2: that's the guy, you know, Like, I don't know what
- 13:45Speaker 2: kind of grand romance might come out of this.
- 13:48Speaker 3: I don't even know if he talks about how he
- 13:51Speaker 3: wants he's ready to move on. Is this evil of
- 13:54Speaker 3: me to say?
- 13:55Speaker 4: No, it's idealist?
- 13:57Speaker 3: Okay, that's what it is. It's me just being like.
- 14:01Speaker 4: You romantic, right, buddy, your soulmate.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Not evil, too romantic exactly.
- 14:07Speaker 2: All right, Well, it's just because he's just the way
- 14:10Speaker 2: that he talks about his wife, you know, I mean,
- 14:12Speaker 2: say with Mark and Mark. Actually, there was nothing. There
- 14:16Speaker 2: was no huge Mark moments to me in this episode.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Except for precisely the post it note.
- 14:26Speaker 2: That he said that he gave to Jonathan saying that, like,
- 14:30Speaker 2: you know, if I'm not around tomorrow, which he meant
- 14:32Speaker 2: like if I don't get a rose.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Not obviously dying, Yes, just know that.
- 14:39Speaker 2: You're like a great man, and he like had listed
- 14:42Speaker 2: like all these attributes that he admired from him.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Yeah, it's really sweet.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Can you would you do that if you were in
- 14:47Speaker 3: the house with these men.
- 14:49Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of who I would do it.
- 14:50Speaker 3: I feel like Ben would do it to you.
- 14:53Speaker 4: He will do it for me. Ben, Relax, I'm not
- 14:55Speaker 4: that great, very sweet, but I'm not deserving of this.
- 15:00Speaker 4: You can write like you're okay, You're doing a good job,
- 15:03Speaker 4: and then I'd be like, all right, thanks, I appreciate that. Yeah, Like,
- 15:08Speaker 4: do you.
- 15:09Speaker 3: See yourself in thirty years softer in that way?
- 15:15Speaker 4: Yeah? It's interesting because I think there's areas in my
- 15:18Speaker 4: life where I've become hardened, and then there are areas
- 15:20Speaker 4: in my life where I've become softer. You know, I
- 15:25Speaker 4: was actually thinking yesterday when I was feeding Hayden introspectively
- 15:31Speaker 4: about you know, like, what how Hayden's going to view
- 15:36Speaker 4: me as a as a dad? And you know, it's
- 15:40Speaker 4: a weird thought. What type of man are you going
- 15:42Speaker 4: to think I am? You know, I hope you think
- 15:44Speaker 4: I'm a good man.
- 15:45Speaker 2: But you're wonderful, I was there. That's not wonderful. Lots
- 15:48Speaker 2: of things, definitely, like the work. Well, you know, I
- 15:51Speaker 2: can't say that working too much is a negative thing.
- 15:54Speaker 4: No, actually as well, but anyway, but that's an area
- 16:00Speaker 4: where I think I've become softer in terms of thinking.
- 16:02Speaker 4: You know, grandioso. It's with kids because it just puts
- 16:06Speaker 4: you know, you start thinking about your place in life,
- 16:11Speaker 4: not so much about your own being, but in terms
- 16:14Speaker 4: of okay, well, I'm here in this world, and my
- 16:18Speaker 4: most important thing is not just like living, but just
- 16:21Speaker 4: being there for Dawson and Hayden, Like I want to
- 16:24Speaker 4: live as long as possible, right, because I want to
- 16:26Speaker 4: be there as long as possible for them. Yeah, and
- 16:29Speaker 4: that has obviously that mindset has been different the past
- 16:33Speaker 4: three years since having kids than it was prior.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Right, It's like, well, I want to live as long
- 16:37Speaker 4: as possible because I want to do things and breathe
- 16:40Speaker 4: and I appreciate life and I'm grateful for life, which
- 16:43Speaker 4: all those things are true still, but now it's also
- 16:45Speaker 4: shifted to be like, well, now I want to be
- 16:46Speaker 4: here as long as possible because you know, I don't want,
- 16:50Speaker 4: you know, Dawson to be fifteen and something happened and
- 16:52Speaker 4: then he you know, kind of grows out without a dad,
- 16:55Speaker 4: like I want to be there for him.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Like I think we've talked about this before, but I
- 16:59Speaker 2: never really thought of like my own death as like
- 17:02Speaker 2: an emotional thing. I never thought of like me getting
- 17:05Speaker 2: in the car and like something bad happening.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Or you know, on a plan or whatnot.
- 17:09Speaker 4: You think about you your family.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you're always thinking about like you're worried about their flight,
- 17:13Speaker 2: not your own flight. And then being a parent, you
- 17:17Speaker 2: think about your own flight, and then you think about
- 17:19Speaker 2: your what you know why he's of transportation, but you
- 17:23Speaker 2: know we all think of it.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's like, oh my god, something happened to me.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Then you start like I start like, well up now
- 17:29Speaker 2: thinking about how their life would be. Yeah, okay, well,
- 17:43Speaker 2: yes we're all mushier with age and children.
- 17:47Speaker 3: So other thing I'd like to mention is.
- 17:52Speaker 2: You didn't see this part, but there's this one guy
- 17:55Speaker 2: and he was a captain of a military ship Kim
- 17:59Speaker 2: So he wrote this song is called the Mansion Men,
- 18:02Speaker 2: and it's actually quite catchy. I'm like, this guy might
- 18:06Speaker 2: have some musical talent. And on the show it was
- 18:08Speaker 2: supposed to be kind of like an embarrassing moment for him. Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 2: nobody wanted to sing it. They were supposed to sing
- 18:14Speaker 2: it like on a row ceremony night, and only guy
- 18:16Speaker 2: was down to sing it with him and in order
- 18:20Speaker 2: to bring him more pride, they had the LA's Gay
- 18:24Speaker 2: Man Chorus come out and sing this song in its
- 18:28Speaker 2: glory and it's great, great song, but you didn't see it.
- 18:32Speaker 2: But I just wanted to say, great song. He may
- 18:35Speaker 2: have fallen asleep for this part.
- 18:37Speaker 4: That's not true. My eye was half open.
- 18:41Speaker 2: And then finally we get to the end where we
- 18:46Speaker 2: see the scenes from the next episode, the finale, the finale.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Jared was away for this, and I feel like the
- 18:56Speaker 2: biggest takeaway is that Jonas and seem that smiley.
- 19:02Speaker 4: She's definitely not smiley.
- 19:03Speaker 2: But her reaction, her facial expression looks a lot like
- 19:08Speaker 2: what Gens did at her mantella whenever they would like
- 19:12Speaker 2: preview Gen's reaction for like the next week.
- 19:15Speaker 4: What is the name of the guy she picked? Devin?
- 19:19Speaker 3: Yes, but look at that.
- 19:21Speaker 2: That shows you just how fleeting the Bachelor audience memory is.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Yeah, well there's just so many names. I remember his face, well, yeah,
- 19:34Speaker 4: I remember that face. Joan's definitely not smiling. It's hard
- 19:39Speaker 4: to tell if she's.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Trying to hold back exact be an actress.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Exactly or what's real? You know, if she's trying.
- 19:49Speaker 3: To I don't think she's a very good actress.
- 19:54Speaker 4: I mean, I guess we'll find out if she's super happy.
- 19:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 19:57Speaker 2: See, this is just my my feeling the entire time
- 20:00Speaker 2: is that like her guy wasn't really there. I think
- 20:03Speaker 2: that that Chock is the closest that she's gonna get there.
- 20:08Speaker 4: So you think that she's gonna break up with Chalk.
- 20:10Speaker 3: No, no, no no.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I think that she's gonna be with Chock. And then
- 20:13Speaker 2: I think she's gonna get in real life and realize, like.
- 20:15Speaker 4: So they broke up after the show.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, oh, I definitely think.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Sorry, I definitely, I definitely think that she ends up
- 20:23Speaker 2: with him. I just don't know what the status of
- 20:25Speaker 2: their relationship is now.
- 20:26Speaker 4: If they end up together and then break up before
- 20:30Speaker 4: or after, that would be bad, like, oh my goodness, gracious,
- 20:34Speaker 4: grape balls.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Just but do you know it's worse just stay together
- 20:38Speaker 2: married after four months of meeting each other.
- 20:40Speaker 4: That's bad. Don't get married and then divorced. Don't get married.
- 20:44Speaker 4: But I don't know, I hope not. I mean, how
- 20:48Speaker 4: long ago did they film? Like three months ago? Four
- 20:49Speaker 4: months ago? I think it started in June, so like
- 20:53Speaker 4: they probably ended in August, so you're talking about September October.
- 20:56Speaker 4: It's been two months. I mean, this is all you know,
- 20:59Speaker 4: this is all assumptions here, we're just speaking out of
- 21:02Speaker 4: the out of our butts.
- 21:03Speaker 3: But look at us, where the opposite. We're the opposite.
- 21:09Speaker 3: You didn't like me on the show, and then you
- 21:10Speaker 3: love me in my life.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Look at that, and then so that.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Can just those flips, those flip flips can switch.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Yeah, of course can flip switches do flip It's correct.
- 21:25Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean, listen, I hope she's with Chalk.
- 21:28Speaker 4: I mean, I can't even I don't know what type
- 21:30Speaker 4: of drama this final episode's going to bring, because it's like,
- 21:33Speaker 4: is she even like, does anybody think she's gonna end
- 21:36Speaker 4: up with guy? I know they saw that show. That preview,
- 21:38Speaker 4: Guy was saying that I'm in love with you.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, he said, I'm ready to get engaged,
- 21:42Speaker 2: like I would propose to you. Yeah, And it's not
- 21:44Speaker 2: like the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my
- 21:46Speaker 2: entire life. I've never seen two people so neutral about
- 21:48Speaker 2: each other.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Yeah. So again, I hope that what I hope is
- 21:52Speaker 4: that guy, with all due respect, good looking, seems very nice,
- 21:56Speaker 4: he sing He sung the song, but eliminate guy.
- 21:59Speaker 3: He did sing this song and that was one of
- 22:00Speaker 3: his glory moments.
- 22:01Speaker 4: I hope that the tension in the episode is not
- 22:03Speaker 4: between who she picks, but rather if she ends up
- 22:06Speaker 4: picking Chok because of the guilt that she feels from
- 22:11Speaker 4: you know, her obviously past relationship. Yes, yes, so that
- 22:15Speaker 4: would be far more interesting to me if there is
- 22:18Speaker 4: this sense of guilt that she feels. I mean, I
- 22:20Speaker 4: hope she doesn't feel this way. Obviously, I want Joan
- 22:22Speaker 4: to be happy. I don't. I don't. I don't think
- 22:24Speaker 4: that she's doing anything wrong. I don't think she's doing
- 22:26Speaker 4: anything wrong at all, Like she should move on. I'm
- 22:28Speaker 4: sure a lot of people close in her, in her
- 22:32Speaker 4: circle want her to move on and be able to
- 22:35Speaker 4: you know, be happy again. But I'm sure just from
- 22:37Speaker 4: a human being standpoint, she feels lottle guilty, and plus
- 22:40Speaker 4: from a TV as aspect, like that is compelling stuff.
- 22:44Speaker 4: If the reason that she feels like she might not
- 22:46Speaker 4: pick Chok is just because she has this overwhelming sense
- 22:49Speaker 4: of guilt, which they showed in the episode, a little
- 22:51Speaker 4: bit of you know, you know, and is this the
- 22:55Speaker 4: right thing to do? Which I get? I mean, how
- 22:59Speaker 4: can you not think that.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah, not that it would be very It would be
- 23:03Speaker 2: a lot of sense for this part of the franchise.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Yeah, if I was in that predicament, I would think
- 23:08Speaker 4: the exact same thing. And I'm sure my friends would
- 23:11Speaker 4: tell me exactly what I would tell Joan, which is,
- 23:12Speaker 4: you're not doing anything wrong. But it's hard to think.
- 23:16Speaker 3: That my ghost would say you're doing something wrong. I'm kidding.
- 23:20Speaker 4: I would not actually haunted the after life only for.
- 23:24Speaker 3: A few years. I'd haunt you like that, only.
- 23:28Speaker 4: For a few years. Okay, hopefully I don't. I mean,
- 23:33Speaker 4: I hope I die before you. Well, statistically speaking, i'll die, yes,
- 23:37Speaker 4: I guess. So is that so weird to think I'll
- 23:40Speaker 4: die before you?
- 23:40Speaker 2: You'll see me die, Jared, that's the worst thing I've
- 23:43Speaker 2: ever heard, could you know?
- 23:45Speaker 4: That's so sad.
- 23:46Speaker 3: That's so sad.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Hopefully many many, many many years from now.
- 23:51Speaker 3: And on that note, I'm gonna go cry.
- 23:54Speaker 4: No, don't cry.
- 23:55Speaker 3: I will see you guys next time, and Jared probably won't.
- 23:59Speaker 4: But until then, but you'll see Ben and Ben's better.
- 24:02Speaker 4: So let's just all be honest, which I'm totally fine with.
- 24:04Speaker 4: I'm fine being if Ben's an A minus. I'm fine
- 24:07Speaker 4: being a B minus C plus.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Why where'd just get B plus? And I'm not gonna
- 24:13Speaker 3: give my nicoles?
- 24:15Speaker 4: No? Ben six four, he's got four inches on me.
- 24:18Speaker 4: I always have to say that, why are you comparing
- 24:19Speaker 4: your looks right now?
- 24:20Speaker 3: I didn't think we were talking about that. I was
- 24:22Speaker 3: talking about quality men.
- 24:23Speaker 2: You're both such high quality, well say, factable, lovable, kind
- 24:27Speaker 2: hearted men.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Ben's a very respectable man. But I would always say like,
- 24:32Speaker 4: because you know, I feel like Ben and I are
- 24:34Speaker 4: certain similar, so similar in certain ways. And when we
- 24:37Speaker 4: were on the show together, I remember just thinking like
- 24:39Speaker 4: I got no shop being this guy, Like I'm trying
- 24:41Speaker 4: to be as good as him and so, but he's
- 24:44Speaker 4: got four inches on me. It's like over why would
- 24:47Speaker 4: why would she ever pick me over him? It's just
- 24:50Speaker 4: not happening.
- 24:50Speaker 2: The thing is with Ben on that season, people are
- 24:53Speaker 2: so tired of her hearing this say this. But like
- 24:56Speaker 2: when he did that sex talk with the kids, I
- 24:59Speaker 2: was like, no one can beat this man.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Trust me. I was like, this, fing guy, you didn't
- 25:04Speaker 4: see it.
- 25:04Speaker 3: You already been there, you saw it back on TV.
- 25:07Speaker 3: You weren't on that date.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I was on that date.
- 25:10Speaker 3: You were on that date.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Yes, I was on that date. The sex talk with
- 25:13Speaker 4: the kids.
- 25:14Speaker 3: I don't remember them showing you talk to the kids
- 25:17Speaker 3: at all.
- 25:17Speaker 4: My big date was the week before the boxing.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Day you got you barely got any air.
- 25:22Speaker 4: No, they showed me and I had my black eye
- 25:25Speaker 4: and was a fun date.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I'm sure you probably totally excelled in that too. Well
- 25:32Speaker 2: already imagine like you would be so good at that.
- 25:35Speaker 2: But the fact that like they showed Ben like he's
- 25:38Speaker 2: like walking down.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Started walking down the aisle, I'm like, why did I
- 25:42Speaker 4: not do this? And they had me go before Ben,
- 25:45Speaker 4: So I'm like, damn it, can I do mine again? Please?
- 25:48Speaker 2: Do you think that they saved Ben for last knowing
- 25:51Speaker 2: that he was just gonna kill it.
- 25:52Speaker 3: He's like a youth minister.
- 25:53Speaker 4: And they probably were like, Ben, you know, if you
- 25:55Speaker 4: feel like you want to like walk up to you, yest,
- 25:58Speaker 4: feel free to buddy, And they're like, Jared, stay up front,
- 26:01Speaker 4: don't bot.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Oh good times. Now we're actually signing off, bye, guys.
