- 0:46Speaker 3: from Canada Life Center. Game one of a back to
- 0:48Speaker 3: back set on the Row Road between the Seattle Kraken
- 0:51Speaker 3: and the Winnipeg Jets. Mike Benton Alconiski with you ever,
- 0:55Speaker 3: I Fitz, you's got TV here for this evening. Glad
- 0:58Speaker 3: you're with us as the Kraken come in right now
- 1:00Speaker 3: now with a dire situation seven games left, they are
- 1:03Speaker 3: six points out of the cut line, and in this
- 1:06Speaker 3: spot they come off winless in their last two home games.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Last time out for two lost to Chicago on Saturday
- 1:13Speaker 3: down two to nothing after forty minutes where they had
- 1:16Speaker 3: just fifteen shots on net.
- 1:17Speaker 4: That did them.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Then where they had a good third period push but
- 1:21Speaker 3: fell short out.
- 1:21Speaker 5: Yeah, the first period single digit shots on golf for
- 1:24Speaker 5: the Crack and at four and then that second period
- 1:27Speaker 5: that was the big turning point, both a power play
- 1:29Speaker 5: goal for Chicago as well as a late under the
- 1:32Speaker 5: last minute second period goal for Chicago as well, leaving
- 1:35Speaker 5: that period too nothing.
- 1:36Speaker 1: It was all up pill from there for the Cracking.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Jayden Schwartz and Copocaco had goals in period three for
- 1:41Speaker 3: the Krack And who come in right now at thirty two,
- 1:44Speaker 3: thirty two and eleven pointing total aunt seventy five and
- 1:47Speaker 3: we can talk about the issues from their past, some mental,
- 1:51Speaker 3: some technical. Well, for the mental side, they had a
- 1:53Speaker 3: nothing lead two games ago against Utah that went up
- 1:57Speaker 3: and smoke end of the game, players only meeting against
- 2:00Speaker 3: It took until fifty minutes into the game for the
- 2:02Speaker 3: Kraken to get a goal, whereas technical. They are five
- 2:06Speaker 3: of fifty one on the power plays since the breaks.
- 2:08Speaker 3: The big question here is can they get their top
- 2:11Speaker 3: guys going and get them going fast.
- 2:14Speaker 5: That they've got to because right now they're in the
- 2:15Speaker 5: midst of their six to four plus scheme losing streak
- 2:18Speaker 5: this season tied for the most since year one, So
- 2:22Speaker 5: they got to get things turned around here. They've got
- 2:23Speaker 5: to at least leave this building with sixty minutes of
- 2:26Speaker 5: battle tested hockey where they leave everything on the ice.
- 2:30Speaker 5: You can't have a soft first period and go down
- 2:32Speaker 5: to nothing in the second. You can't have a good
- 2:34Speaker 5: first period and be down by a goal after forty
- 2:37Speaker 5: You've got to have three solid periods of hockey tonight.
- 2:40Speaker 3: We will be discussing plenty and I mean plenty of
- 2:42Speaker 3: lineup changes here for this evening, but emotional doors opening
- 2:46Speaker 3: here for this one. First off, Brandon Montour announcing he
- 2:48Speaker 3: and family welcoming their third child, end of the world
- 2:52Speaker 3: son named Cam that happening three days ago. But also
- 2:55Speaker 3: Ryan Winterton looking like he'll be back into the lineup
- 2:57Speaker 3: heer after being out last eight games after losing his
- 3:00Speaker 3: brother Jacob tragically at age twenty five.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Yeah, big injection of emotion, not just for him for
- 3:05Speaker 5: obvious reasons, but I think the lineup rallies around that
- 3:08Speaker 5: kind of thing too.
- 3:09Speaker 1: They welcome him back in.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Uh, you know they're gonna play a little bit harder
- 3:13Speaker 5: tonight just for that reason.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Taking a look at the Jets right now, thirty three
- 3:16Speaker 3: thirty one and twelve point total ads seventy eight, they're
- 3:19Speaker 3: eleven to five and four since the Olympic break, and
- 3:22Speaker 3: just like the Crack, in every game for them now
- 3:25Speaker 3: here on out is defined as must win. Their offense
- 3:29Speaker 3: is carried by Mark Schifley and Kyle Connor. Defensive bit
- 3:32Speaker 3: banged up, but still hanging in there. They have gone
- 3:35Speaker 3: seven straight games allowing three goals or less, and last
- 3:37Speaker 3: time out they be Columbus two to one Kyle Connor.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Guess who pair of goals in that game in Connor
- 3:43Speaker 3: hellibug only needing to make fifteen saves in that win.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Yeah, pair of goals and guess who assisted on both
- 3:48Speaker 5: of them, Shifley. And they've done it twenty seven times
- 3:50Speaker 5: this season. So those two are individuals you have to
- 3:54Speaker 5: be aware of on this ice tonight.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Crack and looking to run the table, and the said
- 3:57Speaker 3: to head Series A or two and oh this being
- 4:00Speaker 3: the third and final matchup where both these teams coming
- 4:03Speaker 3: in three points apart, massive four point swing game implications
- 4:07Speaker 3: abound here for this one, where a lot of teams
- 4:10Speaker 3: in this playoff mix are playing tonight, including Nashville, The Kings,
- 4:14Speaker 3: San Jose as well.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Besides these two.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Teams on the Ice and Resource joins to next. He's
- 4:19Speaker 3: back at Network Central, the Kraken and the Jets getting
- 4:22Speaker 3: closer here from Winnipeg. This is the Global Credit Union

- 7:49Speaker 11: and Hotel Cracking come into this game thirty two, thirty
- 7:53Speaker 11: two and eleven, good for sixth in the Pacific Division
- 7:56Speaker 11: with seventy five points, six points back at the last
- 7:58Speaker 11: wild card spot in the Western Conference. The Winnipeg Jets
- 8:02Speaker 11: come in at thirty three, thirty one and twelve, seventh
- 8:05Speaker 11: in the Central Division with seventy eight points, but just
- 8:09Speaker 11: three points back of Nashville for that last wild card spot.
- 8:12Speaker 11: It's time for what are the Odds? Brought to you
- 8:15Speaker 11: by the Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling. The Jets are
- 8:18Speaker 11: favored at home tonight by one and a half and
- 8:20Speaker 11: the over under is five and a half. The Evergreen
- 8:24Speaker 11: Cancel on Problem Gambling wants to remind you that at
- 8:27Speaker 11: the end of the game, you should still be having fun.

- 8:37Speaker 11: bet responsibly, keep it fun. Wa dot org. Well, let's
- 8:42Speaker 11: head back to Saturday night. We're after falling down to
- 8:45Speaker 11: zero to Chicago at home. Seattle tried to mountain a
- 8:49Speaker 11: comeback to avoid losing ground in the playoff race.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Kde Schwartz of the quarter.
- 8:53Speaker 12: And fuck Bertley Catton right on knockdown.
- 8:55Speaker 6: Rebound, knockoo.
- 9:04Speaker 12: Coppo Cocko right place right tide the crackhead back down
- 9:08Speaker 12: one by forty two left in regulation. All the best
- 9:12Speaker 12: opportunities come below the dots on the offensive end of
- 9:15Speaker 12: the ice.
- 9:15Speaker 1: That's where this one starts.
- 9:16Speaker 12: Montor in the corner feet catting with a great spot
- 9:20Speaker 12: pass out to the top of the circles. He gets
- 9:22Speaker 12: a shot on net and and Coco's there to pick
- 9:26Speaker 12: up the rebound.
- 9:26Speaker 1: He goes blocker side under the bar. Three two Chicago.
- 9:30Speaker 11: Now that goal to cut the lead to one by
- 9:33Speaker 11: Coppocaco would be all the Crack and could muster as
- 9:37Speaker 11: they dropped a key game in the playoff race to Chicago,
- 9:40Speaker 11: who is thirty first in the league in terms of points,
- 9:43Speaker 11: percentage points and all that jazz. So after the entering
- 9:46Speaker 11: the Olympic Break three points up on the final wildcard spot,
- 9:50Speaker 11: Seattle has a meager five twelve and two records since
- 9:54Speaker 11: returning from the break, which has them scrambling in the
- 9:57Speaker 11: last seven games of the season to try and make
- 9:59Speaker 11: up six points and jump five teams in the standings. Well,
- 10:03Speaker 11: instead of me giving you more bleak stats and the
- 10:06Speaker 11: crack and stumble to the finished line as of late,
- 10:08Speaker 11: let's hear from Brandon Montour at morning skate this morning
- 10:11Speaker 11: on what he feels needs to turn around for the
- 10:14Speaker 11: boys to get back in this race.
- 10:17Speaker 9: I think we just got to get back to our structure.
- 10:19Speaker 13: What have we got left seven Obviously it hasn't been
- 10:21Speaker 13: going good, you know lately, But enjoy, have fun, compete this,
- 10:27Speaker 13: you know, obviously, fight until the end no matter what happens.
- 10:31Speaker 9: But we got to get back to our structure.
- 10:33Speaker 3: This is the very thing to kind of look back
- 10:34Speaker 3: at the previous road trip and you know, figure what
- 10:37Speaker 3: went well for this team, you know, toward the very
- 10:38Speaker 3: end of it. As far as like a carry over
- 10:40Speaker 3: here for these two games.
- 10:41Speaker 13: Yeah, I mean, I think it's just we're We're simple.
- 10:44Speaker 13: We were playing fast, we were being aggressive, but we
- 10:46Speaker 13: stayed within ourselves against you know, obviously, it's I think
- 10:49Speaker 13: those last three right Florida Tampa Buffalo game was heading
- 10:54Speaker 13: in the right direction.
- 10:55Speaker 9: We competed hard. Mentally.
- 10:58Speaker 13: I think we you know, kept their mistakes pretty low
- 11:01Speaker 13: in those games, which helped, and we just went out
- 11:03Speaker 13: to the other teams and I think we got to
- 11:05Speaker 13: do the same thing the rest of the way.
- 11:06Speaker 9: Here.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Sometimes said that emotions and the mental process can kind
- 11:09Speaker 3: of go hand in hand. So with seven games left,
- 11:11Speaker 3: what does the moment ask out of this team emotionally?
- 11:14Speaker 9: Yeah, again, you can't fix the past. It is what
- 11:17Speaker 9: it is.
- 11:18Speaker 13: But we got to keep pushing forward, keep doing the
- 11:20Speaker 13: right things, the right things that have made us a
- 11:23Speaker 13: good hockey team this year. And I guess we got
- 11:26Speaker 13: to fight to the end.
- 11:27Speaker 14: But anyone has to happen to get the offensive game
- 11:29Speaker 14: just going more, Just generate some more shots too simple.
- 11:33Speaker 13: Speed we gotta I mean, we keep harping on guys
- 11:35Speaker 13: to the net, getting sticks on pucks, obviously, d trying
- 11:39Speaker 13: to find lanes. But the more we play fast, you know,
- 11:42Speaker 13: we we get in their end for check. Obviously, throw
- 11:45Speaker 13: the pucks in the right areas that we can get back.
- 11:48Speaker 13: A lot of you know, times we throw pucks in
- 11:50Speaker 13: and they come out right away, So being smart with that.
- 11:53Speaker 13: But again, especially with goalies who we have tonight, Alibuck
- 11:58Speaker 13: obviously one of the better goalies in this league, you
- 12:00Speaker 13: got to get in his face. You got to make
- 12:01Speaker 13: it tough for him, which obviously would make it easier
- 12:04Speaker 13: for us.
- 12:04Speaker 14: What's your take on the power play right now too?
- 12:06Speaker 14: I know you guys have been just trying some different things.
- 12:08Speaker 14: What's kind of that balance between trusting the process but
- 12:10Speaker 14: also trying to get some results there.
- 12:12Speaker 13: Yeah, I mean I think obviously it's flip flopped the
- 12:17Speaker 13: last a little bit, But again I think it's the
- 12:20Speaker 13: same thing that I just said. You got to get
- 12:22Speaker 13: pucks to the net. Be simple. We're not a team
- 12:25Speaker 13: that can overthink things. You got to be simple, play fast,
- 12:27Speaker 13: and obviously you got to get traffic there as much as.
- 12:30Speaker 9: You can on this guy.
- 12:31Speaker 14: How valuable is it for some of the young guys
- 12:32Speaker 14: in this locker room to kind of feel the race
- 12:35Speaker 14: that you guys have been in here and be playing
- 12:36Speaker 14: such meaningful games.
- 12:37Speaker 13: Well, you just got to understand that this is the
- 12:39Speaker 13: time that you want to play. This is the important time.
- 12:41Speaker 13: This is why you play, is you know, to have
- 12:43Speaker 13: a chance to play in the playoffs. You know, being
- 12:47Speaker 13: out obviously you get young guys to experience kind of
- 12:49Speaker 13: last year and how kind of mentally and how you know,
- 12:53Speaker 13: difficult it is to kind of keep fighting until the end,
- 12:55Speaker 13: especially being out, you know, with whatever it was last year.
- 12:59Speaker 13: But to have the chance to be playing meaningful games
- 13:03Speaker 13: teams that are obviously going to race tough teams, you know,
- 13:05Speaker 13: that only helps us.
- 13:08Speaker 11: That's Brandon Montour of course. Wise words from someone who
- 13:11Speaker 11: has gotten to that mountaintop winning a Stanley Cup with
- 13:14Speaker 11: Florida right before joining Seattle. The window is still there
- 13:17Speaker 11: for Seattle and the message is simple. It's go time
- 13:20Speaker 11: and it starts tonight in Winnipeg, one of those five
- 13:23Speaker 11: teams that you need to jump in order to get
- 13:25Speaker 11: that last wild card spot. So a perfect opportunity for
- 13:29Speaker 11: the Crack and to make one final push to finish
- 13:31Speaker 11: the season. It does look like it will be Philip
- 13:34Speaker 11: Grubauer tonight, coming off a good performance on Saturday versus Chicago.
- 13:37Speaker 11: He was definitely not the reason for the loss, and
- 13:40Speaker 11: even though he is won two and one in his
- 13:42Speaker 11: last four starts. He has been excellent in that run,
- 13:45Speaker 11: with a nine to eighteen safe percentage and a two
- 13:47Speaker 11: point four to four goal against average in those games
- 13:50Speaker 11: against Tampa, Buffalo, Edmonton and Chicago. Of course, just got
- 13:55Speaker 11: to get him some offensive support Grewby's thirteen eleven and four,
- 13:58Speaker 11: but the two point five to nine goal against average
- 14:00Speaker 11: and a nine to ten say percentage on the season
- 14:03Speaker 11: as a whole. It's the third of three versus Winnipeg
- 14:06Speaker 11: this season, with Seattle winning both of the first two matchups.
- 14:10Speaker 11: Overall versus Winnipeg in their history, the Kraken r four
- 14:14Speaker 11: six and four and Philip Grubauer versus the Jets is
- 14:17Speaker 11: four five and one, a three point twenty seven goal
- 14:20Speaker 11: against average and an eight to eighty save percentage. So
- 14:23Speaker 11: not a super friendly matchup for the German gentleman in
- 14:25Speaker 11: his career, but hopefully he can buck that trend, as
- 14:28Speaker 11: I mentioned earlier, playing a lot better as of late. Now,
- 14:31Speaker 11: let's take a look at the injury report. Shane Wright
- 14:33Speaker 11: has not played since leaving the Buffalo game early in
- 14:36Speaker 11: March twenty eighth. He is still considered day to day,
- 14:39Speaker 11: so hopefully he's back soon. But other than that, Seattle
- 14:42Speaker 11: has all hands on deck for one final push of
- 14:45Speaker 11: the regular season. Much more to come on the pregame
- 14:48Speaker 11: show served up by Corps lten. Coming up next, we'll
- 14:51Speaker 11: take a look at the Jets. You're listening to the
- 14:53Speaker 11: Global Credit Union Kraken Audio Network.

- 17:18Speaker 11: You will hear him coming up soon as he and
- 17:20Speaker 11: al Kiniski have your play by play action in Winnipeg.
- 17:23Speaker 11: And it's time now for a look at those Winnipeg
- 17:26Speaker 11: Jets who have had very much the inverse of the
- 17:29Speaker 11: Kraken season where it looks like they were on their
- 17:31Speaker 11: way out of it, which met selling at the trade deadline. However,
- 17:35Speaker 11: a recent surge has them with an outside chance to
- 17:38Speaker 11: still make it in postseason play.
- 17:43Speaker 18: Powerplay hasn't been clicking. We need it, we need it
- 17:45Speaker 18: to go here at least last couple of games. And
- 17:47Speaker 18: there's some familiarity with Laddie ne Nel Fat's kind of
- 17:51Speaker 18: all those guys going back back in with NP with
- 17:54Speaker 18: other groups. So it's a little bit of that trying
- 17:56Speaker 18: to find something you don't hear that kind of sparks
- 17:58Speaker 18: a little bit for both groups. We had access when
- 18:00Speaker 18: JT moved up with that, you know, with that top
- 18:04Speaker 18: group earlier in the year, you know, puts FETs out
- 18:07Speaker 18: on that flank where he's played a lot of the
- 18:09Speaker 18: last couple of years, and so it's just kind of
- 18:11Speaker 18: looking for a different look, maybe a little different attack points.
- 18:15Speaker 11: That Scott Oarneil, head coach of the Winnipeg Jets. For a
- 18:17Speaker 11: team that's associated with so much high end scoring, having
- 18:21Speaker 11: the power play not be as deadly of a weapon
- 18:23Speaker 11: for them as of late is definitely a surprising development.
- 18:28Speaker 11: Since the break, Winnipeg has been scorching hot with an
- 18:30Speaker 11: eleven to five and four record, So two teams colliding
- 18:34Speaker 11: tonight in a similar position, but heading in opposite directions,
- 18:38Speaker 11: Winnipeg finds success with two areas. Their top line with
- 18:41Speaker 11: Mark Scheifeley and Kyle Connor with ninety four and eighty
- 18:45Speaker 11: seven points respectively, and their goaltending with Connor Hellibuk and
- 18:49Speaker 11: after starting the season uncharacteristically slow going into the Olympic break,
- 18:54Speaker 11: his performance during the Olympics for Team USA must have
- 18:57Speaker 11: awoken something in him because he has reached earned much
- 19:01Speaker 11: closer to the multi time VESNA winner we are used
- 19:04Speaker 11: to seeing eight five and four to two seven to
- 19:06Speaker 11: four goal against average and an eight ninety five save
- 19:08Speaker 11: percentage since the break, So hopefully the Kraken can sort
- 19:12Speaker 11: him out. But it's looked a little bit tough in
- 19:15Speaker 11: the last couple of games on the offensive side, and
- 19:17Speaker 11: as you just heard from Scott Arneil, they're making a
- 19:21Speaker 11: couple changes on their power play units, putting Jonathan Tave's
- 19:25Speaker 11: former Chicago Blackhawk into that top unit. So hopefully the
- 19:29Speaker 11: Kraken PK is up to task tonight to keep them
- 19:32Speaker 11: off the board as they seek to take the win
- 19:36Speaker 11: out of Winnipeg. Looking like it will be Connor Helivuk
- 19:39Speaker 11: between the pipes tonight for the Jets. He is twenty one,
- 19:43Speaker 11: twenty one and eleven on the season, a two point
- 19:45Speaker 11: seven to seven goal against average eight nine eight savee percentage,
- 19:49Speaker 11: but against Seattle in his career he's four to three
- 19:51Speaker 11: and zero a two point three to eight goal against
- 19:54Speaker 11: average and a nine h one save percentage. Coming up next,

- 22:11Speaker 3: Back with you high at top rings side here at

- 22:17Speaker 3: back to back on the Krack inside to looking to
- 22:19Speaker 3: end a four game when Lis Skid coming off a
- 22:21Speaker 3: four to two loss against the Blackhawks two nights ago,
- 22:24Speaker 3: you look at this as a new day with a
- 22:27Speaker 3: new look as well. And that is talking about the
- 22:30Speaker 3: Kraken lineup and the quote the great Andrews Hurst the
- 22:34Speaker 3: crack in trying to take the win, yes out of Winnipeg.
- 22:37Speaker 3: My goodness, Andrews, that was a million dollar line. How
- 22:40Speaker 3: do the Kraken do that? Alconiski, with our three keys,
- 22:43Speaker 3: ou't take it away?
- 22:44Speaker 1: Well?
- 22:44Speaker 5: First of all, here, Mike, the leader's got to lead tonight.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Enough of the strong effort boys speeches. This is where
- 22:49Speaker 5: the grown ups grab the wheel and drive. Your big
- 22:52Speaker 5: dogs need to play like big dogs, not house trained
- 22:55Speaker 5: puppies waiting for a treat. When the game gets greasy
- 22:58Speaker 5: in a tough barn Lie Canada Life Center here in Winnipeg,
- 23:01Speaker 5: and you've been in a bit of a skid, that's
- 23:04Speaker 5: when your leaders separate themselves from the guys just along
- 23:07Speaker 5: for the ride. If the top players aren't dragging this
- 23:09Speaker 5: thing into the fight, you're basically asking for a polight loss,
- 23:12Speaker 5: and nobody's got time for that in April. Secondly, limit
- 23:16Speaker 5: Kyle Connor and Mark Shiffley's time and space. Letting Kyle
- 23:20Speaker 5: Connor and Mark Shiffley roam around with time and space
- 23:22Speaker 5: is like handing the keys to your sports card as
- 23:24Speaker 5: someone who just said, hey, watch this, bad things are
- 23:27Speaker 5: about to happen.
- 23:28Speaker 1: These guys don't need much.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Give them a second and they'll turn a boring play
- 23:32Speaker 5: into a highlight reel, close fast, finish checks and make
- 23:35Speaker 5: every touch.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I feel like they're being interrogate. Terrogated.
- 23:39Speaker 5: If they're comfortable, you're cooked. And then third, limit the mistakes.
- 23:43Speaker 5: You cannot gift wrap chances in this league, especially against
- 23:46Speaker 5: a team that'll say thank you very much and cash
- 23:48Speaker 5: it in immediately. Blind passes, soft clears, and hope plays
- 23:52Speaker 5: are turnovers. With a better pr department. Play simple, play direct,
- 23:56Speaker 5: and stop trying to make the cute play, because right
- 23:59Speaker 5: now every mistake is a Neon sign flashing two points
- 24:02Speaker 5: for the bad guys. So in some this one's pretty simple.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Your leaders need to show up like they mean it.
- 24:08Speaker 5: Your defense needs to treat Connor and Shafely like expired
- 24:11Speaker 5: milk and get rid of them fast. And your mistakes
- 24:14Speaker 5: need to disappear like your phone battery. At one percent,
- 24:17Speaker 5: you're chasing six points, not strolling through a Sunday skate.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Clean it up, toughen it up, and for the love
- 24:22Speaker 5: of the game, wake it up. Otherwise this playoff chase
- 24:25Speaker 5: is gonna turn into a polite wave goodbye.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Oh the phone battery is so relatable. I keep using
- 24:30Speaker 3: it and using it and forget to charge it. And
- 24:32Speaker 3: that's the worst feeling. It's the fastest feeling, pure one
- 24:36Speaker 3: to zero. That is the worst feeling in the entire world.
- 24:39Speaker 3: I also listen when it comes to YouTube in between
- 24:41Speaker 3: the maserati or the ferrari. Don't run into somebody else
- 24:45Speaker 3: out of your garage.
- 24:46Speaker 1: That's a bad idea.
- 24:46Speaker 5: Don't throw the keys to anybody, especially a young cousin
- 24:49Speaker 5: who just got their permit.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I'm so jealous of your wheels.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Let's let's talk about this line up here, because it
- 24:55Speaker 3: looks like that everything is just completely blown up here
- 24:58Speaker 3: for tonight, but beginning up for Bobby McMahon, welcome back
- 25:01Speaker 3: here to the top line with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberlee.
- 25:04Speaker 3: But I think the big story of this Vin's done.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Adam Larson ever defense, he has called them the law Firm.
- 25:10Speaker 3: They're gonna get broken up here for the first time
- 25:12Speaker 3: in a long time tonight as Kylee. Flurry goes the
- 25:17Speaker 3: top pair with Vince Done, Jamie Alexiak will take a
- 25:20Speaker 3: seat for the first time since December, and Kyle Flury's
- 25:23Speaker 3: back in after set in the last four games.
- 25:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, this is Lane Lambert just trying to
- 25:27Speaker 5: get something going here. You know, Don Larson have been
- 25:30Speaker 5: the untouchables for a long time, and for good reason
- 25:33Speaker 5: at that, But you're at a point now where you're
- 25:35Speaker 5: just trying to get something going. Tricthing different that works.
- 25:39Speaker 5: I like putting Flurry into the lineup. I like seeing
- 25:41Speaker 5: what he can do with Vince Done out there. Listen,
- 25:43Speaker 5: Adam Larson and Vince Done are excellent. D Man I
- 25:45Speaker 5: don't care where they're playing. They don't have to be together,
- 25:48Speaker 5: So I think this is a good exercise. And then
- 25:50Speaker 5: talking about Bobby mt McMahon, he's been red hot for
- 25:53Speaker 5: the Krack and since he came and when he first
- 25:55Speaker 5: came over to the Crack and he played in that
- 25:57Speaker 5: top line because Jared mccannon was injured, but has had
- 26:00Speaker 5: twelve points in eleven games since being acquired. He goals
- 26:03Speaker 5: for us this He's been on fire, so he absolutely
- 26:06Speaker 5: should be playing top line minutes.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Nine points last ten games for him. By the way,
- 26:10Speaker 3: on defense, Riker Evans with Adam Larson and Early. The
- 26:12Speaker 3: only constant here is Ryan Lindgren with Brandon Montour. They've
- 26:16Speaker 3: been together previously it points of this season. So the
- 26:19Speaker 3: third line is also what got my attention here, Jared
- 26:21Speaker 3: McCann with Berkeley Catton and Coppocaco.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Catton's going to be in the middle here for tonight.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Yeah, and I like that Catten's a playmaker. He could
- 26:28Speaker 5: certainly skate with both of those guys on that line.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Cocko and McCann are both shooters. Coco's going to give
- 26:34Speaker 5: you a little bit of a physical part of his
- 26:36Speaker 5: game and McCann's going to give you a little more shooting,
- 26:39Speaker 5: So I would expect to see Catten feeding both of
- 26:42Speaker 5: those guys when they're in shooting lanes.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Ryan Winterton will be back here in the lineup here
- 26:46Speaker 3: for the first time since March seventeenth against Tampa Bay,
- 26:48Speaker 3: and our hearts remain heavy, of course here for the
- 26:51Speaker 3: loss of his brother Jacob, who tragically passed away.
- 26:54Speaker 4: But what do you like about Ryan's game?
- 26:56Speaker 3: His placement here back in this lineup where it looks
- 26:58Speaker 3: like that he'll be with Oscar Fisgard and Freddie goodrou.
- 27:01Speaker 5: Yeah, four goals, fourteen assists on sixty two games this season.
- 27:05Speaker 5: I love his speed. First of all, he's a He's
- 27:07Speaker 5: a prototypical winger, up and down the wall, fast, good
- 27:10Speaker 5: good along the wall in wall battles the same thing
- 27:13Speaker 5: with him as far as a cat. And on that
- 27:15Speaker 5: third line, Oscar Fisker Mulgard is a guy that can
- 27:18Speaker 5: find you. You just got to get into a shooting lane,
- 27:20Speaker 5: getting into a place where he can get you to
- 27:22Speaker 5: the puck. But you get it there, you're not gonna
- 27:24Speaker 5: have to call for It's gonna be coming at you
- 27:25Speaker 5: before you even called for.
- 27:26Speaker 1: The puck. So I'm looking forward to seeing what those
- 27:28Speaker 1: two can do on that line.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Looking like it will be Philip Grubauer and then against
- 27:32Speaker 3: Connor Hellibuck for the savings. So for the Kraken into
- 27:34Speaker 3: appears one time. Crunch time means Grooby time. Fifth start
- 27:38Speaker 3: for him, last six games, twenty seven saves in that
- 27:42Speaker 3: last to Chicago. But you can't blame that on him
- 27:44Speaker 3: because he played extraordinarily well.
- 27:46Speaker 5: Yeah, he had some big glove saves in that game,
- 27:49Speaker 5: kept the game within reach for the crack and certainly
- 27:51Speaker 5: did his job for as long as he could before
- 27:54Speaker 5: he before he ended up giving it giving up a few.
- 27:56Speaker 5: But no, I absolutely think he had a great game
- 27:59Speaker 5: against Chicago and him getting rewarded with another one here
- 28:02Speaker 5: tonight is absolutely the right decision.
- 28:04Speaker 3: We opted to hear about Winnipeg Jets hockey under Scott oar'neill,
- 28:07Speaker 3: and it means to bend the guts of the ice.
- 28:09Speaker 3: What an analogy, by the way, But when it comes
- 28:11Speaker 3: to their offense, Mark Scheifflee ninety four points, Kyle Connor
- 28:15Speaker 3: eighty seven points as well. Connor's got thirty six goals,
- 28:19Speaker 3: they can be a problem. They could be a handful.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Yeah, they absolutely can.
- 28:22Speaker 5: And you know they work together just like Drycidle and
- 28:25Speaker 5: McDavid and Edmonton. They know where they where each guy
- 28:28Speaker 5: is on the ice. They know, you know, in this situation,
- 28:32Speaker 5: this is where I'll be. In that situation, this is
- 28:34Speaker 5: where he'll be. And when you played it with guys
- 28:36Speaker 5: like that for a long time, it's like having eyes
- 28:38Speaker 5: on the back of your head.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You just know how to get each other the pocket.
- 28:41Speaker 1: No surprise that they're having a lot of success.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Cracking one three nothing back here on October twenty third,
- 28:47Speaker 3: one five three on November thirteen.
- 28:49Speaker 4: So back to the three nothing game, it was close,
- 28:51Speaker 4: one nothing.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Jayden Schwarz puts that one away with a pair of
- 28:54Speaker 3: empty net goal So how do you approach this game
- 28:56Speaker 3: just like last time?
- 28:57Speaker 5: Well, I think in both of those games, without going
- 28:59Speaker 5: back and looking at my notes, you had good goaltending.
- 29:01Speaker 5: And that's absolutely gonna be the key here tonight is
- 29:04Speaker 5: this Winnipeg Jets team is a team that could hurt
- 29:06Speaker 5: you offensively. You got to play well defensively against them.
- 29:09Speaker 5: Gonna take away opportunities, take away time and space from
- 29:12Speaker 5: Shifley and Connor. But they're gonna get high danger chances,
- 29:16Speaker 5: they're gonna get shots on goal. You've got to have
- 29:18Speaker 5: good goal team. That is absolutely an important piece to
- 29:21Speaker 5: this puzzle tonight.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Goalie is your last line of defense.
- 29:24Speaker 3: And now do you know who is our last line
- 29:27Speaker 3: of defense? And an A plus guy in that regard
- 29:30Speaker 3: back in network central and he will join you after

- 32:08Speaker 11: the play of the game during postgame call two zero
- 32:10Speaker 11: six two eight six nine five. If your caller number
- 32:14Speaker 11: seven with the right play of the game, you score
- 32:17Speaker 11: a pair of tickets to an upcoming cracking game. Don't

- 32:22Speaker 11: the pregame show served up by Frostbury, Cores, Light, Choose Chill.
- 32:26Speaker 11: Cracking jets coming up, but first let's hear more from
- 32:28Speaker 11: Cracking head coach Lane Lambert standing by here with Mike.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Benton Andrews.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Thank you back now with the Crackinghee coach Lane Lambert
- 32:34Speaker 3: in Winnipeg and Lane first off with seven games left
- 32:36Speaker 3: in the regular season.
- 32:37Speaker 21: Sometimes it's said that confidence feeds execution and vice versus.
- 32:41Speaker 4: So as a coach, how does perspective.
- 32:43Speaker 21: Of this time of year help this team navigate high stakes?
- 32:46Speaker 17: For Well, there's no question that confidence, you know, leads
- 32:49Speaker 17: to execution and vice versa. And right now, you know,
- 32:54Speaker 17: we're we're having a little bit of trouble, you know,
- 32:58Speaker 17: certainly with our confidence level, and you know, which is
- 33:04Speaker 17: leading to at times some poor execution at the end
- 33:07Speaker 17: of the day, you know, And I've talked about it
- 33:10Speaker 17: all throughout this stretch. You know, we have to reset, reset,
- 33:13Speaker 17: and look forward, don't look past in the past, you know,
- 33:17Speaker 17: And that's the focus for tonight against the Winnipig Jets.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Numbers have been very good for Coppocaco since the Olympic
- 33:22Speaker 3: break in. Over the last nine road games, he's got
- 33:24Speaker 3: nine points in that stretch. We've talked a lot about
- 33:27Speaker 3: Bobby McMahon as far as his contributions, but what has
- 33:30Speaker 3: Coppocaco applied to.
- 33:32Speaker 21: His game most on a consistent basis recently?
- 33:34Speaker 17: Well, I think it's just a matter of him being
- 33:37Speaker 17: in and around the net. He's doing a good job
- 33:39Speaker 17: from that standpoint. He's protecting pucks down low, you know,
- 33:43Speaker 17: and so we're seeing the fruits of that. You know,
- 33:47Speaker 17: from that standpoint, that's his strength is down below the
- 33:49Speaker 17: tops of the circles. So you know, he's had some
- 33:52Speaker 17: success that way.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Talking to the concept here of face offs and how
- 33:56Speaker 3: the play begins at the face off circle, we've seen
- 33:58Speaker 3: a guy like, for instance, Matty Benier's and he had
- 34:00Speaker 3: a ten of eighteen night in just the last couple
- 34:02Speaker 3: of nights ago, and the numbers have gone up for
- 34:04Speaker 3: him every year in this category. So as far as
- 34:07Speaker 3: you as a coach through a one year lens with him,
- 34:09Speaker 3: you know what's gone into the part of his craft
- 34:12Speaker 3: that's helped make him better at that area.
- 34:14Speaker 17: Chris Taylor. You know, that's one of the reasons we
- 34:17Speaker 17: hired Chris Taylor is because we don't feel like our
- 34:19Speaker 17: team is good enough in the faceoff circle, or was
- 34:21Speaker 17: good enough in the face off circle. I think we've
- 34:24Speaker 17: had some improvements in the face off circle throughout the year,
- 34:27Speaker 17: you know, And I mean obviously Chandler Stevenson takes you know,
- 34:31Speaker 17: I don't have the exact stat but I'll guarantee he's
- 34:33Speaker 17: in the top one, two or three in face offs
- 34:36Speaker 17: in the defensive zone and starts. So you know, we
- 34:40Speaker 17: need to have more guys that can be trusted in
- 34:44Speaker 17: the defensive zone in the face off circle, so that
- 34:46Speaker 17: you know, Chandler isn't starting all the time in the
- 34:48Speaker 17: defensive zone.
- 34:50Speaker 1: That way would lead to a little bit.
- 34:51Speaker 17: More offensive production from him. But certainly, Chris Taylor has
- 34:56Speaker 17: worked with all our guys and I think our face
- 34:57Speaker 17: offs are improving.
- 34:58Speaker 21: Emotionally and technically. What's it meant to get Ryan Winterton
- 35:01Speaker 21: back in this mix?
- 35:02Speaker 2: Now?
- 35:03Speaker 9: It means a lot, you know, clearly. Uh you know,
- 35:06Speaker 9: he hadn't skated for a while.
- 35:07Speaker 17: He didn't seem to lose his conditioning too badly. We'll
- 35:11Speaker 17: see tonight when he gets caught out there on an
- 35:13Speaker 17: extended shift, but you know, it's it's important to have
- 35:17Speaker 17: him come back in at this point in time. Certainly
- 35:19Speaker 17: give our team a little bit of a boost. Our
- 35:21Speaker 17: team needs a boost, you know, And I'm looking for
- 35:23Speaker 17: our leadership tonight to uh, you know, to bring that
- 35:27Speaker 17: and we're gonna find out a lot about our hockey
- 35:29Speaker 17: team over the next seven games.
- 35:30Speaker 3: It seems as if of Winnipeg we talk a lot
- 35:32Speaker 3: about Kyle O. Connor Mark Stifley as well. Whenever they're
- 35:34Speaker 3: on the ice, that can be dangerous. What's the biggest
- 35:36Speaker 3: key to handling them this.
- 35:37Speaker 17: Evening, Well, you can't give him too much time and space.
- 35:40Speaker 17: And you know the Connor, he just he's a goalscorer.
- 35:44Speaker 17: Schifley is too, and they look for each other. They
- 35:46Speaker 17: play an amazing two man game. They're They're a lot
- 35:49Speaker 17: like dry Sidelymic David, you know, and there's certain guys
- 35:53Speaker 17: point future off kind of thing. You get these two
- 35:55Speaker 17: man games that get played, you know, against a bunch
- 35:57Speaker 17: of teams in the league. They're too world class players,
- 36:01Speaker 17: you know, so we've got to make sure that we're
- 36:03Speaker 17: understanding that we know where they are and going to
- 36:05Speaker 17: take away their time in space, play them hard.
- 36:08Speaker 11: That's Lane Lambert. If you missed any of it, you
