- 0:24Speaker 4: Not because they are easy, but because they are hard.
- 0:27Speaker 4: It is time for us to realize that we are
- 0:30Speaker 4: too great a nation to limit ourselves to small dreams.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I have a dream that one day.
- 0:39Speaker 5: This nation will rise up and live out the true
- 0:43Speaker 5: meaning of its creed.
- 0:46Speaker 1: American Ground Radio with Lewis R. Avalone and Stephen Farr.
- 1:02Speaker 2: This is American Ground Radio with Lewis R. Avalone.
- 1:05Speaker 5: I have asked this question for time immemorial. Why do
- 1:09Speaker 5: politicians lie to their constituents?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Because it works. That's why. I mean, they get away
- 1:17Speaker 2: with it. They get elected.
- 1:17Speaker 4: And that's always your answer. Because that's the answer. Because
- 1:22Speaker 4: that's the answer. I will change my answer when it
- 1:24Speaker 4: stops being true. The reason why they do it is
- 1:28Speaker 4: because it works. People fall for it.
- 1:32Speaker 2: They get elected. They don't have any punishment for it.
- 1:34Speaker 2: They don't get shamed. They don't get outed. They don't
- 1:37Speaker 2: get They don't get put on Maury Povich. Maury Povich says,
- 1:42Speaker 2: all right, you said you were not the father. We
- 1:45Speaker 2: have the test. Turns out you are the father. We
- 1:48Speaker 2: don't ever get that with the politicians.
- 1:50Speaker 6: I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm not saying you're wrong.
- 1:53Speaker 5: There should be a better explanation. But I guess it's
- 1:58Speaker 5: just a commentary on humanity. People will do, many people
- 2:03Speaker 5: will do as much as you will allow them to
- 2:06Speaker 5: get away with. People, if you tolerate bad behavior, then
- 2:11Speaker 5: the person committing that bad behavior is going to push
- 2:13Speaker 5: that as far as they possibly can until you have
- 2:17Speaker 5: enough and you're like, I've had enough.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:21Speaker 6: But the problem is.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Is that by the time a politician lies to you
- 2:26Speaker 5: and you check the facts and the head, you know,
- 2:30Speaker 5: The headlines already spread. The outrage has already taken hold.
- 2:34Speaker 5: The political damage has already been done. You know, of course,
- 2:39Speaker 5: there's an old saying that a lie can travel halfway
- 2:42Speaker 5: around the world while the truth is still putting on
- 2:44Speaker 5: its shoes. Well, in modern American politics, the lie already
- 2:49Speaker 5: appeared on three, four different nationwide cable networks and all
- 2:56Speaker 5: over social media.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 2:59Speaker 5: And it's already raised $ 2 million. It's launched a fundraising
- 3:02Speaker 5: campaign before the truth has even found its shoes. And
- 3:06Speaker 5: it's not just a Democratic problem. You know, Republicans do
- 3:10Speaker 5: it too. But conservatives ought to be the first people
- 3:13Speaker 5: willing to admit that. Because if we believe in personal
- 3:16Speaker 5: responsibility and honesty and moral character, which we do, those
- 3:21Speaker 5: principles cannot suddenly be optional when the politicians telling the
- 3:25Speaker 5: lie happen to agree with us.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 5: And here you've got AOC campaigning in Michigan for Democratic
- 3:32Speaker 5: Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Who has lied about his family's connections to the Muslim Brotherhood.
- 3:38Speaker 5: And she is lying. I mean, she's lying about President
- 3:43Speaker 5: Trump not wanting women to go to college. Take a
- 3:48Speaker 5: listen to this clip, Ms.
- 3:49Speaker 6: Producer. Clip number two.
- 3:51Speaker 7: Social workers, they don't want women to go to college, y'all.
- 3:57Speaker 7: And they're defunding the ability for people to become nurses, teachers,
- 4:02Speaker 7: social workers. We have to understand what the deal is here,
- 4:06Speaker 7: because then what happens is that the UP doesn't have doctors,
- 4:10Speaker 7: and then if you do become a doctor, you're in
- 4:13Speaker 7: so much debt, you have to go to a big
- 4:15Speaker 7: city to get a really high-paying job just to pay.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Off your loan.
- 4:20Speaker 7: So once we address this issue, we're able to expand
- 4:23Speaker 7: our ability to have health care for everybody.
- 4:26Speaker 5: Well, she was going on to say that basically all
- 4:29Speaker 5: public universities ought to be tuition free and we shouldn't.
- 4:34Speaker 5: She called student debt indentured servitude.
- 4:38Speaker 6: That's how she described it.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Wow.
- 4:42Speaker 2: No, that's absolutely not what it is. What the Trump
- 4:44Speaker 2: administration has done is said we're going to stop giving
- 4:47Speaker 2: college loans out to degrees where the cost of the
- 4:52Speaker 2: college loan is higher than the expected revenue you can
- 4:56Speaker 2: make from the degree. It's not about saying women can't
- 5:00Speaker 2: go to college. It's about saying we're not going to
- 5:03Speaker 2: put Americans into unsustainable debt just so they can say
- 5:07Speaker 2: they have a degree. If that happens to be more
- 5:10Speaker 2: women doing those degree plans than men, okay, that's fine.
- 5:14Speaker 2: But how is putting women into college debt acceptable when
- 5:17Speaker 2: you're saying, well, at least women get to go to college? Yeah,
- 5:20Speaker 2: they get to go to college, but they're saddled with
- 5:22Speaker 2: debt for the rest of their lives.
- 5:24Speaker 6: That's not good.
- 5:25Speaker 2: That's not helping people.
- 5:26Speaker 6: But just think about how dishonest this is.
- 5:27Speaker 5: I mean, there's a big difference between saying, I disagree
- 5:30Speaker 5: with the administration's student loan policies.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Right.
- 5:33Speaker 5: And saying that the president of the United States doesn't
- 5:36Speaker 5: want women to receive an education. Look at all the
- 5:38Speaker 5: women in his administration who are all very highly educated.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Look at the women in his family. His daughter, Tiffany,
- 5:47Speaker 2: perhaps the least talked about Trump child, just got her
- 5:51Speaker 2: law degree.
- 5:52Speaker 7: Right?
- 5:53Speaker 2: When he got back in office. She has a juris...
- 5:57Speaker 2: Juris doctor. Juris doctor, right?
- 5:59Speaker 6: Well, she probably has jurisprudence as well.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Probably, yeah. So she goes and gets her law degree,
- 6:05Speaker 2: and Donald Trump says, look what my daughter did. You
- 6:07Speaker 2: think he really doesn't want women? Kai, his granddaughter Kai,
- 6:12Speaker 2: going to university.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Going to the university.
- 6:14Speaker 2: So he absolutely wants the women in his family to
- 6:17Speaker 2: go to college. He wants the women in your family
- 6:19Speaker 2: to go to college as long as it makes economic
- 6:22Speaker 2: sense for you and your family.
- 6:24Speaker 5: But for the low information voter, and by that I'm
- 6:28Speaker 5: not disparaging anyone who can't keep up with every single
- 6:34Speaker 5: dollar in every budget or every person. possible amendment or
- 6:38Speaker 5: law that is passed by their state legislature. Because look,
- 6:41Speaker 5: we're all out here trying to earn a living, raise
- 6:43Speaker 5: our families, provide for our families. It's tough to keep
- 6:47Speaker 5: up with everything that is going on.
- 6:49Speaker 6: I get that.
- 6:49Speaker 5: What I mean by low information is more about the
- 6:52Speaker 5: fact that you might be more susceptible to latch on
- 6:57Speaker 5: to a false narrative.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Can I call them the easily offended voter?
- 7:01Speaker 6: Or easily influenced?
- 7:04Speaker 2: Yeah, if you are easily offended, it may be because
- 7:07Speaker 2: you haven't actually bothered to check the details behind what
- 7:10Speaker 2: was said. You're reacting off of emotion and not off
- 7:14Speaker 2: of truth.
- 7:15Speaker 5: And by the way, if AOC, if she had done
- 7:19Speaker 5: her homework, Which, by the way, I don't know if
- 7:21Speaker 5: she went to college or not.
- 7:23Speaker 2: She did.
- 7:23Speaker 6: Okay. But nevertheless.
- 7:24Speaker 2: But then she had to go to, she was a bartender.
- 7:26Speaker 2: She graduated college so she could work as a bartender.
- 7:29Speaker 5: In 2024, women accounted for approximately 58% of adult college enrollment. Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Men accounted for approximately 42%. So women are not, but see,
- 7:44Speaker 5: this is the narrative because she's trying to stir up
- 7:48Speaker 5: all of this division. Women are not some tiny minority
- 7:54Speaker 5: struggling to get through the university gates. Women are the
- 7:59Speaker 5: majority of college students.
- 8:01Speaker 2: But look at what's happened to college since we've had
- 8:04Speaker 2: the Department of Education has gone through and taken over
- 8:09Speaker 2: college loans. The cost of college has gone up as fast—
- 8:15Speaker 2: As Obamacare drove up the cost of health care, when
- 8:18Speaker 2: the government gets involved in running the finances of an industry,
- 8:22Speaker 2: that industry all of a sudden will become unsustainable. We've
- 8:26Speaker 2: got to get government out of the college business and
- 8:30Speaker 2: we've got to get it back into the state and
- 8:32Speaker 2: local level so that the cost for college will come
- 8:35Speaker 2: down and stop being propped up by federal debt.
- 8:38Speaker 5: You know what else we have to do? Because, you know,
- 8:40Speaker 5: when I ask the question, why do politicians lie? It's
- 8:44Speaker 5: because we have to demand honesty as voters. We have
- 8:49Speaker 5: to demand it consistently.
- 8:51Speaker 6: And you know why?
- 8:52Speaker 5: Because truth is not a political strategy. It is a
- 8:56Speaker 5: moral obligation. There's a difference.
- 8:59Speaker 2: And if we as voters continue to reward dishonesty at
- 9:03Speaker 2: the ballot box, we will end up with more dishonesty
- 9:07Speaker 2: In the campaigns.
- 9:08Speaker 5: And the thing is, is there is a difference between
- 9:11Speaker 5: being wrong and being dishonest.
- 9:13Speaker 2: That's true.
- 9:14Speaker 6: And AOC, she is absolutely both.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Let's get to the top three things. First thing you
- 9:25Speaker 2: need to know, the federal government is suing the state
- 9:27Speaker 2: of California over its voter rolls. Earlier in the week,
- 9:29Speaker 2: the DOJ had asked California to check the veracity of
- 9:32Speaker 2: voter registrations for 20,000 people who received official ballots in
- 9:36Speaker 2: the mail. California is a process where individuals who get
- 9:39Speaker 2: a driver's license are automatically registered to vote, and California
- 9:42Speaker 2: allows non-citizens to get driver's licenses. Acting Deputy Attorney General
- 9:46Speaker 2: Trent McConner said California is facilitating unlawful voting by knowingly
- 9:50Speaker 2: allowing non-citizens to vote. This needs to stop. California Secretary
- 9:54Speaker 2: of State Shirley Weber denounced the lawsuit, saying California's election
- 9:56Speaker 2: administration will continue to be governed by applicable federal institutions.
- 10:00Speaker 2: state law, not by unsubstantiated claims and outrageous demands.
- 10:04Speaker 6: Then why not cooperate?
- 10:06Speaker 5: Why not cooperate with the Trump administration and make your
- 10:09Speaker 5: records transparent?
- 10:12Speaker 6: Just put them all out on the table.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Or just check to make sure that people that are
- 10:16Speaker 2: on your voter rolls aren't also illegal aliens. Just check.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Second thing you need to know, Southern California was once
- 10:21Speaker 2: again under threat from wildfires near Los Angeles. The Bryson
- 10:24Speaker 2: Canyon fires burned up hundreds of acres already near Malibu.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Schools in Malibu were canceled on Friday due to the threat.
- 10:31Speaker 2: There have also been mandatory evacuations in the area. 70,000
- 10:34Speaker 2: customers were without power as specific gas and electric shutoff
- 10:37Speaker 2: power as a precaution to prevent more fires from sparking.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Los Angeles still has not recovered from a 2025 fire
- 10:43Speaker 2: that destroyed thousands of homes in the city. Only a
- 10:45Speaker 2: handful of the people who lost their homes have been
- 10:47Speaker 2: able to rebuild in the year and a half since
- 10:49Speaker 2: those fires started.
- 10:51Speaker 6: Now, legitimately, why is this such an issue?
- 10:53Speaker 5: I know there are environmental conditions in California that make
- 10:57Speaker 5: these brush fires more susceptible, right?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:02Speaker 6: Can't they get a hold of what's going on here?
- 11:05Speaker 2: Their environmental policy does not allow for the clearing out
- 11:09Speaker 2: of brush and controlled burns within wildfire areas. And so
- 11:13Speaker 2: they're storing up fuel for fires.
- 11:15Speaker 6: Well, maybe that needs to change.
- 11:17Speaker 2: And the third thing you need to know, President Trump's
- 11:18Speaker 2: newest White House press secretary, Kate Zacharia, is out after
- 11:21Speaker 2: just five days on the job. Zacharia was roasted in
- 11:24Speaker 2: the media after she appeared nervous during her first press conference.
- 11:27Speaker 2: She was also accused of inflating a resume when she
- 11:29Speaker 2: referred to herself as an attorney but never passed the
- 11:31Speaker 2: bar exam. President Trump told the media he asked Zachary
- 11:34Speaker 2: if this role was for her after she became the
- 11:37Speaker 2: center of the criticism. The administration says she will be
- 11:39Speaker 2: transitioning to a new role that is yet to be announced.
- 11:42Speaker 5: She was on The Apprentice, and she's a nice woman.
- 11:45Speaker 5: But I think President Trump would basically say to her,
- 11:48Speaker 5: you're fired.
- 11:49Speaker 2: He's at least saying you're transferred. We'll be right back.
- 11:53Speaker 1: You're listening to American Ground Radio.

- 12:44Speaker 2: I'm Stephen Farr with Lewis R.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Avalone.
- 12:46Speaker 5: You know, sometimes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
- 12:51Speaker 5: And then sometimes it rolls down the hill. You know,
- 12:53Speaker 5: almost every family, you got that one relative. You know
- 12:57Speaker 5: the one I'm talking about.
- 12:58Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about apples.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Well, you know the one I'm talking about, the one
- 13:03Speaker 5: that does, you know, does something a little outrageous, maybe
- 13:07Speaker 5: lives a different lifestyle that everybody else.
- 13:09Speaker 6: In the family starts, you know.
- 13:10Speaker 5: It's like, well, before you say anything, you know, I'm
- 13:15Speaker 5: not my brother or I'm not my cousin or whatever
- 13:18Speaker 5: it is.
- 13:18Speaker 2: That's what most of the family says about me.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Look, I love my sister, but I'm not responsible for
- 13:24Speaker 5: what comes out of her mouth, right? Sometimes you don't
- 13:26Speaker 5: have to say anything.
- 13:27Speaker 2: That's exactly what my family says about me.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Or you might say, well, we're not that close, you know.
- 13:33Speaker 6: I understand that.
- 13:35Speaker 5: But you can share the same last name without sharing
- 13:38Speaker 5: the same judgment.
- 13:39Speaker 8: Okay.
- 13:39Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying. All right.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Okay. And President Obama apparently believes that as well.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I don't share the same last name.
- 13:47Speaker 6: No, no, no. But.
- 13:48Speaker 5: He is campaigning for Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
- 13:54Speaker 6: Okay. But Abdul El-Sayed has a sister.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:00Speaker 6: Or a sister-in-law. Well, half-sister. Half-sister.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Yeah, they have the same mother.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Well, nevertheless, she apparently was put on a federal terrorism
- 14:12Speaker 5: watch list by President Obama.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Oh, this may be a different story. I'm sorry. His
- 14:20Speaker 2: half-sister is the one who says that they have connections
- 14:22Speaker 2: to the Muslim Brotherhood.
- 14:22Speaker 6: Oh, no, no, no. This is his sister-in-law.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 14:25Speaker 6: El-Sayed's sister-in-law.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Oh.
- 14:27Speaker 5: And I'm just saying that President Obama is like, you know,
- 14:30Speaker 5: your sister-in-law was on the terror watch list.
- 14:33Speaker 6: I can't really come campaign for you.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:36Speaker 6: But that didn't seem to bother him.
- 14:38Speaker 2: No, he's able to go.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Now, she was on the terror watch list. But the
- 14:43Speaker 5: FBI is refusing to explain why she was on the
- 14:47Speaker 5: terror watch list.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Maybe because of her connections to the Muslim Brotherhood.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Kind of awkward, awkward. And then she actually sued the
- 14:57Speaker 5: Obama administration because she was on the list.
- 15:00Speaker 6: She didn't want to be on the list.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Most terrorists don't.
- 15:02Speaker 6: No, exactly. It's better to.
- 15:04Speaker 5: It's better to be more anonymous in those cases. Just
- 15:07Speaker 5: kind of be low-key.
- 15:08Speaker 2: It's harder to be able to take flying lessons, for example,
- 15:12Speaker 2: when you're on the terrorism watch list.
- 15:14Speaker 5: So nevertheless, I say all of this because Obama is
- 15:19Speaker 5: going to Michigan, and he is going to be campaigning
- 15:24Speaker 5: for al-Sayed, despite the fact that his sister-in-law was on
- 15:29Speaker 5: the terror watch list.
- 15:31Speaker 6: On his... The Obama administration's terror watch list.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Well, that's very interesting because one of the demographics that
- 15:38Speaker 2: El-Sayed is not doing well with is black Democrat voters.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Black Democrats don't like El-Sayed all that much, so that
- 15:45Speaker 2: may be why Obama's heading to Michigan.
- 15:47Speaker 6: How's he doing with the terrorists?
- 15:50Speaker 2: We have no connection. No connection whatsoever. We got a
- 15:52Speaker 2: question for American Mamas. Dear Mamas, what do you think
- 15:55Speaker 2: of the guy who cosplayed as a Christian until he
- 15:58Speaker 2: became one?
- 15:59Speaker 6: Well, let's ask our American Mamas.
- 16:02Speaker 2: And joining us now are American Mamas Terry Nedeville and
- 16:16Speaker 2: Kimberly Burleson. Okay, y'all are both tearing up because you
- 16:19Speaker 2: just watched some of the videos of this. This is
- 16:21Speaker 2: a guy named Brian Guan. And he was an atheist.
- 16:24Speaker 2: And he says, you know what? I'm just going to
- 16:28Speaker 2: pretend as if God was real. And he says, I'm
- 16:31Speaker 2: going to do four things every day as part of
- 16:33Speaker 2: this little experiment I'm doing to pretend and see if
- 16:35Speaker 2: pretending that I'm a Christian makes me feel any better.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I'm going to wake up and be grateful. I'm going
- 16:40Speaker 2: to pray. I'm going to read the Bible. And then
- 16:43Speaker 2: I'm going to try and apply what I've learned in
- 16:44Speaker 2: the Bible to my daily life. And by day 20
- 16:48Speaker 2: of him doing this, atheist, by day 20 of it,
- 16:51Speaker 2: he's in tears. He's crying. And he says, Jesus is real.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I'm giving my life to Jesus. He's my Lord and Savior.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I can't pretend anymore. He didn't get through his 30-day challenge.
- 17:00Speaker 2: He got through day 20. What do you guys think?
- 17:05Speaker 8: Well, you're right. We've been in tears over this because
- 17:08Speaker 8: when you watch the video, if you go to his
- 17:11Speaker 8: page on Instagram and you go through and watch some
- 17:15Speaker 8: of those days and you get to day 20 and
- 17:17Speaker 8: you see everything just fall off, all of the doubts
- 17:22Speaker 8: fall away from him and he starts crying himself. and
- 17:26Speaker 8: he's like, he's real, bro. He's real, dude. Jesus Christ
- 17:29Speaker 8: is my Lord and Savior. And you can feel it,
- 17:32Speaker 8: just like I just got chills again, like I did
- 17:34Speaker 8: the first time I watched it. To see somebody and
- 17:38Speaker 8: be able to feel what they're feeling just by watching them,
- 17:42Speaker 8: that is Christ. And if we're ever in need of
- 17:45Speaker 8: a social contagion, this is the one.
- 17:48Speaker 2: It's interesting you mention that, because since day 20, there
- 17:52Speaker 2: have been at least three other atheists that I've seen
- 17:55Speaker 2: that have started posting on social media. Now, maybe they're
- 17:57Speaker 2: doing it for the clicks, because obviously this guy's following
- 18:00Speaker 2: went way up once he started saying he was doing
- 18:04Speaker 2: this cosplaying as a Christian. His following went up tenfold.
- 18:07Speaker 2: So maybe they were doing it for the clicks or whatever.
- 18:10Speaker 2: But you've got other atheists doing the same thing. They're
- 18:13Speaker 2: practicing gratitude. They are praying. They are reading verses in
- 18:17Speaker 2: the Bible, and they are going to try and apply
- 18:18Speaker 2: what they read in the Bible to their daily lives.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And they're recording themselves day by day going through this.
- 18:24Speaker 2: This Brian Guan, he talked about how he had battled
- 18:27Speaker 2: nicotine for 19 years. And since he started this, the feeling,
- 18:33Speaker 2: the desire to have nicotine just faded.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Off of him.
- 18:37Speaker 9: I think one thing I like about this particular thing
- 18:41Speaker 9: and this guy is it's almost like fake it till
- 18:43Speaker 9: you make it. So even though this was a cosplay,
- 18:46Speaker 9: this was like an experiment. It tells everyone else, experiment
- 18:50Speaker 9: the same way and see what happens. Most people think
- 18:52Speaker 9: I've got to ask Jesus to be in my life,
- 18:55Speaker 9: to take over my life. Like there's a certain, you
- 18:57Speaker 9: think there's a certain thing that you have to do
- 19:00Speaker 9: in order to have this. But he's basically saying, don't.
- 19:03Speaker 9: Just start reading the Bible. Just start, just pretend if
- 19:08Speaker 9: you have to. And then you see what happens. You
- 19:11Speaker 9: are infected by the love of Jesus and it will
- 19:14Speaker 9: overwhelm your life.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Forever. But it's scriptural. Seek and you will find. He
- 19:20Speaker 2: may not have known that that's what he was doing,
- 19:22Speaker 2: but he's saying, I'm going to pretend that God's real,
- 19:24Speaker 2: and I'm going to do what I'm supposed to do
- 19:26Speaker 2: as if I was actually pursuing him. He was seeking,
- 19:29Speaker 2: and by day 20, he found. Exactly.
- 19:31Speaker 9: Think about in history.
- 19:33Speaker 8: We've had so many brilliant-minded atheists who have sought to
- 19:39Speaker 8: go and decry God and decry that this is even
- 19:42Speaker 8: a real thing. They wanted to prove that it was
- 19:44Speaker 8: all fake.
- 19:44Speaker 7: Right.
- 19:45Speaker 8: Only to be converted into the most outstanding Christians of
- 19:49Speaker 8: our time. c.s lewis right strobel.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Lee strobel so lee strobel is a reporter for the
- 19:54Speaker 2: chicago times he and his wife are an atheist and
- 19:57Speaker 2: his wife started going to church and he was like
- 19:59Speaker 2: oh i've got to break this or it's going to
- 20:00Speaker 2: ruin my marriage so he decided you know what i'm
- 20:02Speaker 2: going to prove that jesus wasn't real he thought it
- 20:05Speaker 2: would take him a weekend He spent months traveling all
- 20:08Speaker 2: around the country, talking to experts, talking to doctors, talking
- 20:11Speaker 2: to historians. And by the end of it, he was like, oh, no,
- 20:16Speaker 2: it is real. And his own pursuit, he was seeking.
- 20:21Speaker 2: And what he found was Jesus is real. He became
- 20:24Speaker 2: a Christian. And he wrote the book, The Case for Christ,
- 20:27Speaker 2: which became the film, The Case for Christ. But yes, again,
- 20:31Speaker 2: seek and you will find. I mean, give it a try. Yeah, exactly.
- 20:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:35Speaker 8: And just to see the difference on his face, on
- 20:38Speaker 8: his whole being from day one.
- 20:40Speaker 6: Right.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Mr.
- 20:41Speaker 8: Cool, okay. My yoga instructor told me to take a
- 20:45Speaker 8: breath and I'm just going to try this. I'm going
- 20:47Speaker 8: to do it. To day 20 when he just lets
- 20:51Speaker 8: all the vulnerability inside of him shine.
- 20:53Speaker 6: Yes.
- 20:54Speaker 8: He is such proof of what God can do in
- 20:58Speaker 8: just a little bit amount of time. If you seek him,
- 21:01Speaker 8: if you trust, if you have that faithfulness to just
- 21:04Speaker 8: stick with it. And see what God can do in
- 21:06Speaker 8: your life.
- 21:06Speaker 2: That's another scripture. God rewards those who diligently seek him.
- 21:10Speaker 2: He did these four things every single day. And Christians,
- 21:12Speaker 2: this shouldn't just be atheists doing this. Christians should do this.
- 21:14Speaker 8: It should be a good reminder.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Practice gratitude.
- 21:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Right?
- 21:18Speaker 2: Pray. Read the scriptures and apply the scriptures. You do
- 21:22Speaker 2: those four things. You are diligent in those four things.
- 21:25Speaker 2: God's going to reward you for that.
- 21:27Speaker 4: I love it.
- 21:27Speaker 6: Yeah.

- 22:06Speaker 1: heart and soul of the American dream. And now, 100%
- 22:09Speaker 1: tariff free.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Welcome back to American Ground Radio. I'm Stephen Fowler with
- 22:28Speaker 2: the Star Avalone.
- 22:29Speaker 5: You know, there's a difference between showing somebody compassion and
- 22:34Speaker 5: just telling them whatever they want to hear. And I
- 22:38Speaker 5: think somewhere along the way we have started confusing the
- 22:42Speaker 5: two in this country. And that 19-year-old accused of plotting
- 22:48Speaker 5: that mass shooting at a Hindu temple in Illinois is
- 22:54Speaker 5: another example of that because... This is someone who has, well,
- 23:01Speaker 5: has been depressed, that has great anxiety disorder, that has
- 23:08Speaker 5: been receiving hormone treatments related to gender transition.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Yep. But what the media wants to point out is, oh,
- 23:18Speaker 2: this person says they're a white supremacist Nazi.
- 23:21Speaker 6: Oh, Ro Khanna.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Ro Khanna.
- 23:22Speaker 6: Ro Khanna. Ro Khanna.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Said, as a Hindu American, I am angered by the
- 23:27Speaker 5: attempted mass shooting at a temple by a white supremacist.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Well, now, Ro, real quick, were you angered by the
- 23:34Speaker 2: mass shooting at the elementary school in Bend, Oregon? Because
- 23:38Speaker 2: it wasn't targeted at Hindus? Or were you angered at
- 23:41Speaker 2: the mass shootings at the Jewish temple in Minnesota, the
- 23:45Speaker 2: attempted one in Houston? or are you only angered at
- 23:50Speaker 2: a mass shooting at people who somewhat look like you?
- 23:54Speaker 5: But see, the problem here is, you know, on one
- 23:58Speaker 5: side you've got people who seem to believe that affirming
- 24:01Speaker 5: someone's gender identity, and let me back up, the reason
- 24:04Speaker 5: we're talking about this is that a number of mass
- 24:06Speaker 5: shooters in recent years have one thing in common, one
- 24:11Speaker 5: common thread, and that is they are transgender.
- 24:15Speaker 2: There's been a lot of them. For such a small
- 24:18Speaker 2: percentage of the population, they are a huge percentage of
- 24:20Speaker 2: mass shooters.
- 24:21Speaker 5: But on one side, you've got people who seem to
- 24:23Speaker 5: believe that affirming someone's gender identity is the answer to
- 24:27Speaker 5: a very emotionally difficult situation. And on the other hand,
- 24:34Speaker 5: there are people who seem to believe that someone's gender
- 24:36Speaker 5: identity is itself an explanation for everything wrong in their life.
- 24:41Speaker 6: And I don't think either approach.
- 24:43Speaker 5: Does justice to the complexity of this, I'm going to
- 24:48Speaker 5: say it, mental illness.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 6: And they just, what I'm saying.
- 24:53Speaker 5: Is what we're doing now with respect to trans in
- 24:56Speaker 5: this country, where you're either saying, you know, oh, uh,
- 24:59Speaker 5: you need puberty blockers or we need to, you know, whatever,
- 25:05Speaker 5: fill in the blank in order for you to feel
- 25:07Speaker 5: like that you are the gender that you were born as, uh,
- 25:13Speaker 5: By just excusing it all, that's not working.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:17Speaker 6: And at the same time, shaming them isn't working.
- 25:20Speaker 5: Right.
- 25:21Speaker 2: But what we've got to do is we've got to
- 25:24Speaker 2: treat this like we would treat other body dysmorphia problems.
- 25:30Speaker 2: We do not go to anorexics and say, yep, you're right,
- 25:35Speaker 2: you're a fatty. You must be, oh my gosh, you've
- 25:37Speaker 2: got to stop eating. We do not say that to
- 25:40Speaker 2: anorexics because it's destructive to them physically and it's destructive
- 25:45Speaker 2: to them mentally. We try and show them the truth
- 25:48Speaker 2: in love, and that's how you try and treat anorexic patients.
- 25:52Speaker 2: We need to be doing the same thing with people
- 25:55Speaker 2: who have body dysmorphia that manifests as gender dysmorphia.
- 25:59Speaker 5: Right, because the measure of compassion isn't how loudly we
- 26:04Speaker 5: announce that we care. It's whether the people who are
- 26:07Speaker 5: actually suffering receive the help they need.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Are they getting better or are they becoming mass shooters
- 26:13Speaker 2: as a result of your so-called care? Let's dig deep.
- 26:24Speaker 2: In America, are you more likely to become a millionaire
- 26:27Speaker 2: or are you more likely to become homeless? There are
- 26:31Speaker 2: lots of polls that say most Americans think they are
- 26:33Speaker 2: more likely to end up on the streets than to
- 26:36Speaker 2: end up in a mansion. There's a poll out just
- 26:39Speaker 2: from August of this year, a left-wing group called Data
- 26:41Speaker 2: for Progress. They published a survey. New polling from Data
- 26:45Speaker 2: for Progress finds that voters think they are more likely
- 26:48Speaker 2: to become homeless than a millionaire or billionaire. 59% said
- 26:52Speaker 2: they were more likely to become homeless than a millionaire,
- 26:54Speaker 2: and only 33% said they were more likely to become
- 26:56Speaker 2: a millionaire than to become homeless. All right, you see
- 26:59Speaker 2: what I'm saying? Six out of 10 think Much more
- 27:02Speaker 2: likely that I'm going to end up on the streets
- 27:03Speaker 2: than I'm going to end up in a mansion.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Well, it's that old adage, your attitude determines your altitude.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:10Speaker 5: So, I mean, if you expect to lose, I don't know,
- 27:13Speaker 5: a lot of folks say, oh, you're so Pollyanna.
- 27:15Speaker 6: But at the same time, if you expect to lose,
- 27:19Speaker 6: you know what?
- 27:19Speaker 5: There is a high probability that you will, in fact, lose.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Very well could. But the data says the exact opposite.
- 27:29Speaker 2: There are currently 745,000 people who are homeless in America.
- 27:34Speaker 2: And that is up from back where we were before 2020.
- 27:39Speaker 2: It's way too many. I agree with that. But it's
- 27:41Speaker 2: way fewer than the number of millionaires in America. Again,
- 27:47Speaker 2: 745,000 homeless people in America. There are 23.8 million millionaires
- 27:53Speaker 2: in America. That means you are somewhere around 25 times
- 27:57Speaker 2: more likely to be a millionaire in the United States
- 28:00Speaker 2: than you are to be homeless in the United States.
- 28:02Speaker 2: 25 times more likely.
- 28:06Speaker 5: But yet, the narrative about poverty, and there's no doubt
- 28:12Speaker 5: there are people that are suffering with poverty, but the
- 28:15Speaker 5: narrative about how this capitalistic system only favors the rich,
- 28:21Speaker 5: the rich get richer, and that's simply not true.
- 28:24Speaker 2: It's just not true. It's absolutely not true. Capitalism has
- 28:26Speaker 2: lifted more people out of poverty than any other economic
- 28:29Speaker 2: system since the history of man. And by the way,
- 28:34Speaker 2: there are far more millionaires in the United States than
- 28:36Speaker 2: there are in any other country on earth. The United
- 28:39Speaker 2: States is 23.8 million millionaires. China is in second place.
- 28:43Speaker 2: China has 6.3 million millionaires. China's population is three times
- 28:48Speaker 2: larger than the population of the United States of America.
- 28:51Speaker 2: And yet, if you look at their millionaire count, it's
- 28:54Speaker 2: four times lower. Now, we don't know how many homeless
- 28:57Speaker 2: people are in China because they won't publish those numbers.
- 29:00Speaker 2: That suggests the number of homeless people in China is
- 29:04Speaker 2: much larger than the number of homeless people in the
- 29:06Speaker 2: United States. It's a real question as to whether there
- 29:09Speaker 2: are more homeless people in China than there are millionaires
- 29:12Speaker 2: in China.
- 29:13Speaker 5: But why is it that folks are so susceptible to
- 29:16Speaker 5: believe that it's more likely that they will fail than succeed?
- 29:21Speaker 6: I can tell you why. Maybe I can answer that question.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:24Speaker 5: It's because succeeding often only comes after failing literally hundreds
- 29:33Speaker 5: or thousands of times where you're doing something and you
- 29:37Speaker 5: fail and you get back up on your feet.
- 29:40Speaker 6: And you try again. You know what I'm saying?
- 29:42Speaker 5: A lot of folks don't have the discipline to stick
- 29:45Speaker 5: with something and then they quit right when they're on
- 29:48Speaker 5: the cusp of victory and they go, oh, nothing will
- 29:51Speaker 5: ever change for me.
- 29:52Speaker 2: But I think there's also a missing of cause and
- 29:55Speaker 2: effect on some of this. There is this idea that,
- 29:59Speaker 2: especially amongst the left, that you're only a millionaire just
- 30:01Speaker 2: because you got lucky or you were privileged. And there's
- 30:05Speaker 2: the people that say they're only homeless because you got unlucky.
- 30:10Speaker 2: And so there's just this, oh, it's the universe, it's randomness. Look,
- 30:17Speaker 2: the data shows a lot of the people who are
- 30:19Speaker 2: homeless in America are homeless because they've been using drugs.
- 30:24Speaker 2: That was a choice, right? It was a choice that
- 30:27Speaker 2: led them to become homeless. And the people who become
- 30:29Speaker 2: millionaires in this country, that's a choice too. It's because
- 30:33Speaker 2: of hard work.
- 30:33Speaker 6: But there are folks that are more susceptible to addictions.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:38Speaker 6: And to obsessive compulsive behaviors.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I agree with that. You need to know that about
- 30:43Speaker 2: yourself before you start using drugs. Now, there are definitely
- 30:46Speaker 2: nations where there are more homeless people than millionaires. For example, India.
- 30:50Speaker 2: There are 1.1 million millionaires in India. There are 1.7
- 30:55Speaker 2: million homeless people in India. The truth is we don't
- 31:00Speaker 2: realize properly how good we have it in America. Maybe
- 31:06Speaker 2: if we would wrap our heads around the fact that
- 31:08Speaker 2: we have it really good in this country, especially when
- 31:10Speaker 2: you compare it to every other country currently in the
- 31:12Speaker 2: world and every other country that's ever existed in the world.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Maybe if we were to wrap our heads around that fact,
- 31:17Speaker 2: we'll stop voting for people who keep telling us how
- 31:19Speaker 2: bad everything is.
- 31:20Speaker 6: That's why we say, only in America.
- 31:24Speaker 1: You're listening to American Ground Radio.
- 31:30Speaker 5: Hey, Steven, do you ever wish your energy boost came
- 31:32Speaker 5: in something more than just another boring dream?
- 31:35Speaker 2: Something that works, too.
- 31:37Speaker 5: You have got to try Tremrox from Victory Nutrition International.
- 31:41Speaker 6: It's a small packet.

- 31:46Speaker 2: Wait, you don't mix it in water? No, no, no, no.
- 31:49Speaker 5: It fizzes and dissolves in your mouth. Trimrock supports metabolism.

- 31:58Speaker 2: for 20% off.
- 32:13Speaker 6: Welcome back to.
- 32:14Speaker 2: American Ground Radio. I'm Stephen Paul with Lewis R. Avalone.
- 32:16Speaker 5: You know, a state can have all of the resources
- 32:20Speaker 5: necessary to solve its problems.
- 32:22Speaker 9: Okay.
- 32:23Speaker 5: But if the people do not have the political will
- 32:26Speaker 5: to actually solve them, what difference does it make? And
- 32:31Speaker 5: the reason I say this is gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton, California.
- 32:39Speaker 6: Out of California.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Republican running for governor there.
- 32:42Speaker 5: And he says California, and I quote, is salvageable after
- 32:46Speaker 5: years of what he describes as damage from Democratic leadership.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:52Speaker 6: And I don't disagree with that necessarily. Right.
- 32:56Speaker 5: But at the same time, if the Democrats who have
- 32:59Speaker 5: governed California for decades here and They obviously have the
- 33:05Speaker 5: ability to vote for different leadership and different policies.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Yep.
- 33:10Speaker 5: But they won't or they don't have the courage, the
- 33:14Speaker 5: political will to do it.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yes.
- 33:16Speaker 6: Then is California salvageable? I think that's an overstatement.
- 33:20Speaker 2: The state of California may be salvageable. Is the mind
- 33:23Speaker 2: of the voters in California salvageable? That's where it all
- 33:28Speaker 2: is going to have to start. The voters in California
- 33:31Speaker 2: need to stop voting for failures. Look, you got wildfires
- 33:35Speaker 2: again running through woods that have not been trimmed, that
- 33:39Speaker 2: have not been cleared. And it's right next to Malibu.
- 33:42Speaker 2: And you're like, oh, no, our houses might burn down.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Who could have seen this coming? After 2025, everybody should
- 33:48Speaker 2: have seen this coming. The state still has not cleared
- 33:52Speaker 2: the woods, the forest in California. And the reason they
- 33:55Speaker 2: won't do it is because of their environmental ideology, which
- 33:58Speaker 2: does not match reality. It's the mindset that's wrong.
- 34:02Speaker 6: No, I get that.
- 34:04Speaker 5: And that's why I say you can't solve a problem
- 34:06Speaker 5: until you're willing to acknowledge what the problem actually is.
- 34:09Speaker 6: That's right. But acknowledging a problem is.
- 34:11Speaker 5: Only the beginning. You've got to understand its causes. You
- 34:14Speaker 5: have to evaluate possible solutions. And you have to be
- 34:18Speaker 5: willing to accept some trade-offs. There's no magic wands in government.
- 34:21Speaker 5: You don't eliminate a housing shortage in California just because
- 34:25Speaker 5: you give a speech. You don't fix homelessness in Los
- 34:28Speaker 5: Angeles just because you're announcing another program.
- 34:30Speaker 2: But every one of California's problems is man-made. Why are
- 34:36Speaker 2: you having so many people leave in the state right now? Well,
- 34:38Speaker 2: because they can't find work. Why can't they find work?
- 34:40Speaker 2: Because you raise the minimum wage to $ 20 an hour
- 34:42Speaker 2: and they don't have the skills to do it. Why
- 34:45Speaker 2: is housing so expensive in California? Because you've let illegal
- 34:47Speaker 2: aliens come in and drive up the cost of housing.
- 34:50Speaker 2: All of this is man-made.
- 34:51Speaker 5: I mean, a governor serves for four years, but an
- 34:55Speaker 5: electorate that doesn't have the political courage or the will
- 34:58Speaker 5: or is a low-information electorate, Well, the damage from that
- 35:03Speaker 5: lasts for generations.
- 35:04Speaker 2: And that's not fake news. You are fake news. Okay, kids,
- 35:14Speaker 2: here's how we play our game. It's Fake News Friday.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I'm going to read you a headline. You tell me
- 35:17Speaker 2: whether it's real news, fake news, or really fake news. Okay,
- 35:19Speaker 2: so real news was reported, and it's true. That's right.
- 35:22Speaker 6: Fake news, it was reported, but it's not true.
- 35:25Speaker 2: That's right.
- 35:25Speaker 6: And then really fake news, well, that's just us making
- 35:28Speaker 6: it all up.
- 35:28Speaker 2: And keep track of your score. Go to our Facebook page,
- 35:30Speaker 2: facebook.com slash American Grand Radio. Let us know what your
- 35:33Speaker 2: score was. And we're giving away a free Lego replica
- 35:37Speaker 2: of the Tesla Roadster for everyone that gives.
- 35:39Speaker 6: Oh, nice.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very nice.
- 35:41Speaker 6: But does it move? Does it fly?
- 35:44Speaker 2: I mean, you can make it fly.
- 35:46Speaker 6: I guess your imagination.

- 38:55Speaker 1: You're listening to American Ground Radio.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Welcome back to American Ground Radio. I'm Stephen Paul with
- 39:14Speaker 3: Lewis R.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Avalone. You know, we've got folks always joining the show and,
- 39:17Speaker 5: you know, sometimes they'll leave and then they'll come back,
- 39:20Speaker 5: you know, the same day during the show.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Don't leave.
- 39:23Speaker 6: No, don't leave.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Don't leave.
- 39:24Speaker 6: But sometimes, you know.
- 39:25Speaker 5: Anyway, you may not have heard, we talked earlier in
- 39:28Speaker 5: the show about... Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring
- 39:32Speaker 5: Maryland apparently you know there's all kinds of problems they
- 39:36Speaker 5: say with kids going to the bathroom oh yeah and
- 39:40Speaker 5: these are high school students going to the bathroom they
- 39:44Speaker 5: say that they're hanging out there in the bathroom they're
- 39:47Speaker 5: showing up late for class they're vaping They're selling all
- 39:53Speaker 5: sorts of uncontrolled substances. They're conducting transactions. They're even rolling dice.
- 39:59Speaker 5: I mean, it sounds like Las Vegas or Atlantic City.
- 40:03Speaker 5: And sometimes they're even getting into fights. So the folks
- 40:08Speaker 5: at Montgomery County High School or Montgomery Blair High School
- 40:13Speaker 5: in Silver Spring, Maryland, you know what their solution was?
- 40:16Speaker 6: I'm going to tell you. I'm going to tell you.
- 40:18Speaker 6: Remove the mirrors. In the bathrooms.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that way.
- 40:22Speaker 6: Not the troublemakers. No. What were you going to say?
- 40:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that way you solve the whole, you know, nicotine problem.
- 40:28Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly. I mean, really? You're going to remove the mirrors.
- 40:33Speaker 6: That's going to solve the problem.
- 40:34Speaker 2: How about you actually patrol the school's halls and make
- 40:38Speaker 2: sure that the kids are where they're supposed to be
- 40:39Speaker 2: and then punish them if they're not where they're supposed
- 40:41Speaker 2: to be when they're supposed to be there? How about
- 40:43Speaker 2: a little discipline in your school? How about you enforce
- 40:46Speaker 2: your own rules?
- 40:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 2: No? No.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Yeah, no, maybe you ought to walk in one day
- 40:50Speaker 5: into the bathroom and just say, hey, whoa.
- 40:57Speaker 6: When I say.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Whoa, I mean whoa. We were talking earlier about telling
- 41:02Speaker 2: the truth. Here's some words of wisdom about truth. C.S. Lewis,
- 41:05Speaker 2: if you look for truth, you may find comfort in
- 41:07Speaker 2: the end. If you look for comfort, you will get
- 41:09Speaker 2: neither comfort nor truth, only soft soap and wishful thinking
- 41:13Speaker 2: to begin and end despair. Dennis Diderot, we swallow greedily
- 41:18Speaker 2: any lie that flatters us, but we sip only little
- 41:20Speaker 2: by little at a truth we find bitter. Galileo Galilei,
- 41:24Speaker 2: all truths are easy to understand once they are discovered.
- 41:27Speaker 2: The point is to discover them. And George Washington, truth
- 41:31Speaker 2: will ultimately prevail where there is pains to bring it
- 41:35Speaker 2: to light.
- 41:35Speaker 6: The truth shall set you free.
- 41:38Speaker 2: That's absolutely true.
- 41:39Speaker 6: No other, no better truth than that.
- 41:42Speaker 2: May your pursuit of happiness bring you joy.
