- 0:00Speaker 1: This is my last time in a closet this week.
- 0:01Speaker 1: So I'm moving into my Yeah, I'm moving into an
- 0:05Speaker 1: office actually too. Yeah, Okay, it's not fancy. It's just
- 0:11Speaker 1: me and my wife has organized a room to be
- 0:13Speaker 1: our office, and so I'll no longer be in a closet. Oh,
- 0:15Speaker 1: but it's I feel like everything's changing up because now
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm in New York City and you're going to come
- 0:20Speaker 1: out of your closet. I hope we can make the
- 0:22Speaker 1: same magic. I'm hoping we make the same magic too.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, guys something. I got two things
- 0:27Speaker 1: to tell you. Guys. You don't have anything to say
- 0:29Speaker 1: to me now that I'm across the country. There's nothing
- 0:31Speaker 1: you want to warm up with. You just want to
- 0:33Speaker 1: move on to some story about how your kid hit
- 0:35Speaker 1: a goal. First of all, I wasn't going to talk
- 0:42Speaker 1: about my kid. You don't hit Second of all. Second
- 0:45Speaker 1: of all, you don't hit it. No, well no you don't. Yeah, yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 1: you kick it, you make it, yeah it don't hit
- 0:53Speaker 1: those things. Um, I gotta tell you men. Uh, sometime
- 0:59Speaker 1: last week, my uh best friend got nominated for an Emmy.
- 1:05Speaker 1: It's like, what da I know? I can't believe it.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I can't believe it, dude, you can't. I could believe it, amazing, Donald,
- 1:19Speaker 1: it was about me. It was about me. It all
- 1:21Speaker 1: circled back then, it was about me. No, I'm really, really,
- 1:27Speaker 1: really thrilled. I have to say I will. You know,
- 1:29Speaker 1: usually with those awards things, you you, they wake up
- 1:31Speaker 1: at the crack of dawn because they come out so early.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And when I didn't get a call, I was like,
- 1:35Speaker 1: on darn, I really was excited about it. And then
- 1:38Speaker 1: I and then I woke up and I was reading
- 1:39Speaker 1: the phone like, oh no, they don't get announced all
- 1:41Speaker 1: at eight thirty in the morning, and so I was like,
- 1:44Speaker 1: I'm still in it. And no, I was thrilled. I
- 1:47Speaker 1: was thrilled. I was running around and I got to
- 1:50Speaker 1: go to dinner with Bill and and Brett and Hannah
- 1:55Speaker 1: from the show who were in town for the premiere. Joel,
- 1:58Speaker 1: you went to the premiere and did you have fun?
- 2:00Speaker 1: I had a blast. Let me tell you, Apple throws
- 2:02Speaker 1: Off party, I know who. The first time I drinking
- 2:07Speaker 1: like maybe four months two Hardsiders, and I was like,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I'm lit and I'm slut out too much. But it
- 2:14Speaker 1: was fun and on top of all of that, the
- 2:17Speaker 1: show's freaking amazing. Yeah. Yeah, I'm so glad. I'm so glad,
- 2:22Speaker 1: and I'm just happy to be included. It's just really
- 2:25Speaker 1: cool and I'm I'm just very thrilled about it. I'm excited.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You know, when lose or draw, you wanted to get
- 2:33Speaker 1: nominated really badly and it happened, dude, and you didn't
- 2:36Speaker 1: have to go out and be like on the campaign trail.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Now you know I now you got I guess, well,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I don't know what am I doing. I'm in New
- 2:44Speaker 1: York City. I mean, I'm gonna come out for the awards.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Um and uh and go um maybe you'll be my date? Um?
- 2:50Speaker 1: I would. I would totally be your date. You're gonna
- 2:53Speaker 1: have to carry the back of my dress. You might train.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't mind doing nutshet Yeah, yeas queen, I'm gonna
- 2:59Speaker 1: wear it. Train Okay, yass queen. Okay. So that was
- 3:05Speaker 1: my first news. My first news is my best friend
- 3:08Speaker 1: got nominated for an Emmy. It's one of the biggest.
- 3:12Speaker 1: It's one of the biggest moments of his life, obviously,
- 3:16Speaker 1: because this is something that he's what's pretty huge, I
- 3:18Speaker 1: gotta say, because like you know, I really want to
- 3:21Speaker 1: be a filmmaker. I mean, I am a filmmaker. I
- 3:23Speaker 1: love being a filmmaker more than anything in the world,
- 3:26Speaker 1: and to be you know, I was thinking about this,
- 3:31Speaker 1: not to get serious for a splood second, but get serious.
- 3:33Speaker 1: You know, when I was a little kid, I was
- 3:35Speaker 1: depressed a lot, and my parents are going through a
- 3:36Speaker 1: bad divorce, and I was a melancholic child, and I
- 3:40Speaker 1: was thinking about how the half hour comedy cheered me up.
- 3:45Speaker 1: It was, it brought me so much joy. And you know,
- 3:48Speaker 1: we joke about all those sitcoms we loved and all
- 3:51Speaker 1: the joy we got from all of the ones that
- 3:53Speaker 1: we constantly reference on here, and I just feel just
- 3:57Speaker 1: so thrilled to be you know, we're talking talking about Scrubs,
- 4:00Speaker 1: which obviously did that for a lot of people. Donald
- 4:02Speaker 1: and I hear all the time how the show cheered
- 4:05Speaker 1: them up when they were in a dark time, and
- 4:07Speaker 1: and I don't know, and last so obviously did that
- 4:10Speaker 1: for a lot of people during the pandemic. So I
- 4:12Speaker 1: was just sitting there ler night, trying to fall asleep,
- 4:14Speaker 1: thinking about how grateful I am to be a part
- 4:17Speaker 1: of this community, and so how grateful I am that
- 4:21Speaker 1: this this thing that really cheered me up when I
- 4:24Speaker 1: was sad as a child. We get to be a
- 4:27Speaker 1: part of today and hopefully make other people smile. That's
- 4:30Speaker 1: well said, first of all, and I'm very, very very
- 4:34Speaker 1: excited for you and happy for you as well. The
- 4:37Speaker 1: whole household was like, holy shit. It's like it was
- 4:39Speaker 1: like when you find out somebody did something really freaking cool.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It's a lot of people are like yeah. We were
- 4:46Speaker 1: all like, holy shit, Yo, you fucking did dude. You
- 4:52Speaker 1: said you wanted to get nominated and you got none. Well,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I wanted to be in the mix. Everyone was talking
- 4:56Speaker 1: about the show, and I was like, I don't know
- 4:58Speaker 1: if I'm gonna get nominate, you know, because often it's
- 5:00Speaker 1: the pilot of a new show that we'll get nominated.
- 5:04Speaker 1: But interestingly enough, this show broke the record for the
- 5:08Speaker 1: most nominations of freshman comedy has ever received, which is
- 5:13Speaker 1: insane for mister Bill Lawrence. Bill La. I mean, yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 1: Bill broke the record. Our buddy who created this podcast,
- 5:21Speaker 1: and um and and then um and did not create
- 5:25Speaker 1: this podcast. I know, I'm just kidding, but um and
- 5:28Speaker 1: then and then so I of course was like, oh
- 5:31Speaker 1: my goodness, I'd like to be on the mix. You know,
- 5:33Speaker 1: I knew a lot of people liked my episode a lot,
- 5:35Speaker 1: which was the second one Biscuits. But you know, you think, like, oh,
- 5:38Speaker 1: is it gonna be the pilot director, But it actually
- 5:40Speaker 1: ended up being um three of us nominated for the show,
- 5:44Speaker 1: and UM mine was the earliest one, the one Biscuits,
- 5:48Speaker 1: which I'm really I'm really proud of. So I'm I
- 5:50Speaker 1: truly am happy to be in the mix. I'm honored
- 5:51Speaker 1: to be a part of it. I love this community,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I love being a filmmaker, and I just I can't
- 5:56Speaker 1: wait to go and have you carry my train. I
- 5:59Speaker 1: can't wait to carry your trainer. I've always said this
- 6:01Speaker 1: to you, man, I think you're a phenomenal actor, but
- 6:04Speaker 1: as much as you're a great actor, you're an even
- 6:06Speaker 1: better director. Dude, Man, thank you well that dovetails into
- 6:09Speaker 1: the hundredth episode of Scrubs. That it doesn't dovetail yet
- 6:13Speaker 1: because I got another set of men. I got sick
- 6:21Speaker 1: and I thought it was COVID nineteen, the Delta variant.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Thought you got that Delta, dude, I thought I got
- 6:28Speaker 1: that Delta for rizzle for rizzle, and it turns out
- 6:32Speaker 1: I inhaled way too much smoke while smoking weed. That's
- 6:36Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. That is what I'm talking about.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And so now I have I don't know if it's pneumonia,
- 6:43Speaker 1: but I have congestion in my chest and nose. Okay, well,
- 6:48Speaker 1: thank god it's not the delta. And you were talking
- 6:51Speaker 1: about going on a weed break again? Did that? Did
- 6:53Speaker 1: that happen? That impromptued a weed break like no other
- 6:57Speaker 1: within like this happened three days ago? And uh, and
- 7:02Speaker 1: let me tell you something right now. Yeah, weed is
- 7:06Speaker 1: weed is out the dough again, out the dough as
- 7:09Speaker 1: as they say, as they say where I'm from, it's
- 7:13Speaker 1: out the dough. Yeah again. I think that's good. I'm
- 7:17Speaker 1: glad you don't have the delta. I flew. I went
- 7:18Speaker 1: to Atlanta to do um a part on this movie
- 7:23Speaker 1: with Cole Sprouse. I gotta tell you, Donald, it reminded
- 7:26Speaker 1: me of of you and me on Scrubs because the
- 7:30Speaker 1: script was very funny. But then he was just asking
- 7:33Speaker 1: the director asked me and and Cole to riff. And
- 7:37Speaker 1: by the way, Cole has we share a Phil Lewis
- 7:41Speaker 1: in common because he was mister Moseby on the show.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I don't know the name we were, we were too
- 7:46Speaker 1: old for it. But on true what was it? Sick
- 7:49Speaker 1: Sweet Life of Zach and Coody, Zack and Cody, It
- 7:52Speaker 1: was a bunch of different versions of it, I think right.
- 7:55Speaker 1: He was on it a long time and but he
- 7:57Speaker 1: was telling me how much he loves Phil and I
- 7:58Speaker 1: was like, oh, my goodness. And he said to me,
- 8:00Speaker 1: he said, I don't know, you probably don't remember this,
- 8:02Speaker 1: but on the season finale, the season eight finale of
- 8:06Speaker 1: the show, when when Phil came back and everyone was
- 8:09Speaker 1: lining the halls, he said, me and my brother were
- 8:11Speaker 1: such fans, and Phil brought us to the set. Do
- 8:15Speaker 1: you remember that. I don't remember that, but I remember
- 8:18Speaker 1: meeting those two when they were a lot younger. Yeah, well,
- 8:21Speaker 1: when they were kids, and they were and I do
- 8:23Speaker 1: remember Phil bringing them to set because then I would
- 8:25Speaker 1: run into them after and they'd be like hey, hey,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and I would always take a picture with them and
- 8:30Speaker 1: send it to my kids, like yo, lakarm hanging out
- 8:32Speaker 1: with Yeah. Well, anyway, it was really sweet. He was
- 8:35Speaker 1: He's a really really, really funny and talented person. And anyway,
- 8:39Speaker 1: so we're riffing, right, and I haven't laughed this hard
- 8:42Speaker 1: since Scrubs. Dude. We were just we were coming. It
- 8:46Speaker 1: was like one thirty in the morning, you know, the
- 8:47Speaker 1: crew is like everyone's exhausted, and we're just riffing these
- 8:51Speaker 1: jokes like in this episode with the manatee and stuff,
- 8:53Speaker 1: and a zillion times with you or I just cannot
- 8:56Speaker 1: get through what we've come up with, and we're both
- 8:58Speaker 1: staring at each other, like you know, and You're like,
- 9:04Speaker 1: come on, like give me your slap in your face
- 9:06Speaker 1: like this, and then we'd be like and I had
- 9:08Speaker 1: to say this sentence and I just couldn't. I finally
- 9:10Speaker 1: turned the director. I'm like, I don't know if I
- 9:11Speaker 1: can say it. I don't know if I can say
- 9:12Speaker 1: that laughing. It was just so fun funny. Anyway, I
- 9:15Speaker 1: love it. That's great man, having a good week. You're
- 9:18Speaker 1: having a good fucking week right now. Bro. Yes. By
- 9:20Speaker 1: the way, BERLANDI texted me and he's like, you've got
- 9:23Speaker 1: an Emmy nomination and you're in my film. This is
- 9:25Speaker 1: a good week for you. It was. It was a
- 9:30Speaker 1: very good week, and I'm so happy to be talking
- 9:32Speaker 1: to you. Guys. I missed you, and I'm I'm really
- 9:34Speaker 1: glad to be talking about episode one hundred. I can't
- 9:37Speaker 1: believe you know, I wrote down one hundred. I was like,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that means we've made one hundred podcasts. I can't believe that. No,
- 9:42Speaker 1: we've made more than one hundred podcasts because we've done
- 9:44Speaker 1: special ones. Yeah, we've done specials. So we're up there
- 9:47Speaker 1: like one hundred and four hundred and five hundred and
- 9:49Speaker 1: six something like that. Well, this is a really really
- 9:52Speaker 1: I haven't seen it since we made it. This ship
- 9:55Speaker 1: has so many jokes in it, it's ridiculous. And I
- 9:57Speaker 1: just learned I missed a lot of stuff. And I
- 9:59Speaker 1: looked on you directed this, and you missed a lot
- 10:02Speaker 1: of stuff. Dude, Well no, I'm saying I missed. I
- 10:04Speaker 1: didn't know where a lot of stuff went. And then
- 10:06Speaker 1: I went on Scrubs Wiki and said, there's a there's
- 10:08Speaker 1: an extended ten minute long version on the DVDs. So
- 10:11Speaker 1: if you have the DVDs, you better go watch them
- 10:14Speaker 1: because I directed it, and I remembered all this cool
- 10:17Speaker 1: stuff and really funny stuff. Rob at the Zoo, we
- 10:20Speaker 1: shoot them at this. Where is said monkey? Yeah? Where
- 10:22Speaker 1: is said monkey? That's done in the show. No, it
- 10:25Speaker 1: wasn't no, it was hey, before we even get started,
- 10:28Speaker 1: Before we even get started. We are here to announce
- 10:30Speaker 1: the second live version of the podcast. Where's it called.

- 14:21Speaker 1: September ninth. Do you remember how Herman Kane used to
- 14:25Speaker 1: go nine nine nine. Yeah, Well it's nine nine two
- 14:31Speaker 1: one if and if you're in New York, it's gonna
- 14:34Speaker 1: be at nine yeah, nine nine nine nine nine nine
- 14:40Speaker 1: nine nine nine nine nine. Let's get into ours, Let's
- 14:56Speaker 1: get okay, Counsel Kevin about sure, we made about a
- 15:05Speaker 1: bunch of nurses stories, YadA, YadA. I remembered a lot
- 15:25Speaker 1: of things that weren't in this episode. And I don't
- 15:27Speaker 1: know the trivia if this when it aired was a
- 15:31Speaker 1: bit longer than what's on where I watched it iTunes
- 15:33Speaker 1: or wherever you watch it Hulu. Um, but there was
- 15:36Speaker 1: a bunch of stuff missing. And uh, there were longer
- 15:41Speaker 1: scenes like you when you first go meet mister Boulger,
- 15:43Speaker 1: who's my acting professor, David Downs, who changed my life
- 15:47Speaker 1: in a lot of ways at Northwestern, and I cast
- 15:49Speaker 1: him as mister Boulder. That scene was a lot longer,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and and and which one the last scene. No, by
- 15:55Speaker 1: the way, that seems great that scene was amazing. The
- 15:58Speaker 1: first scene you're talking about the Yeah, that scene, we
- 16:00Speaker 1: didn't get to that scene at the end. You're so
- 16:02Speaker 1: good in that scene, But I'm talking about the first
- 16:04Speaker 1: scene in the doctor's lounge was longer. There was a lot.
- 16:08Speaker 1: There's a lot that would cut out anyway if you
- 16:10Speaker 1: happen to be someone who owns the DVDs. I read
- 16:12Speaker 1: on Scrubs Wiki that there's on that and I guess
- 16:14Speaker 1: it must be the season five DVD. There's an extended cut,
- 16:17Speaker 1: which you should watch because there's a lot of stuff
- 16:19Speaker 1: that's cut out. And this was really special. I was
- 16:22Speaker 1: so honored I got to direct it in classic bill form.
- 16:27Speaker 1: He gave me ones that were impossible to make in
- 16:29Speaker 1: five days. I don't know how we shot this all
- 16:31Speaker 1: in five days or if we even did, but it
- 16:33Speaker 1: has so many classic funny Scrubs moments in it. We
- 16:37Speaker 1: got a lot done. Like there's so many jokes in it,
- 16:40Speaker 1: Like just first of all, opening up the show with Toto. Yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 1: now this is like right then and there Dorothy and
- 16:47Speaker 1: Toto together, You know what I mean? Cox is number
- 16:50Speaker 1: one thing to call you is Dorothy, And here's Toto,
- 16:54Speaker 1: right and yeah, and now so this is a set obviously,
- 16:57Speaker 1: and it's in the rank. I was just super analyzing
- 16:59Speaker 1: this whole episode because there's so much and even after
- 17:01Speaker 1: i'd like spotted a lot of things, there's a zillion
- 17:03Speaker 1: things if you look again, if you're really curious, We're not.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I can probably get to them all. But there's so
- 17:07Speaker 1: many references on scrubs Wiki. You can look up. There's
- 17:10Speaker 1: so many jokes. Dude, there's so many jokes in this episode.
- 17:12Speaker 1: There's no way I need to get past the fact
- 17:14Speaker 1: that I missed some of them. Like Rob at the
- 17:16Speaker 1: zoo going where is said monkey? They're looking for what
- 17:19Speaker 1: are they looking? No, no, no, they don't go to
- 17:21Speaker 1: the zoo. The kid is in the freaking hallway and
- 17:24Speaker 1: the kid went to the zoo like I took a
- 17:27Speaker 1: kid to the zoo or some shit like that. And
- 17:29Speaker 1: Rob comes in and it's like, kid, where is said monkey?
- 17:35Speaker 1: And the kid the kid's talking about a monkey and
- 17:37Speaker 1: another monkey doing something or something like that, and then
- 17:40Speaker 1: Rob's like kid, he grabs the kid. Kid, I got one,
- 17:43Speaker 1: I got one question? Where is said where is said monkey?
- 17:47Speaker 1: So Um opens the show with Toto, opens the show
- 17:51Speaker 1: with Toto okay, on the on the classic old iPod
- 17:53Speaker 1: and there's rain hitting the window and now this is
- 17:56Speaker 1: a one er that the camera's just spinning three sixty
- 17:58Speaker 1: and then it's speeding up within the sections until it
- 18:03Speaker 1: gets to me in the tub. Now I see this
- 18:05Speaker 1: meme all the time. This is like one of the
- 18:07Speaker 1: most common memes people have ever sent me, with me
- 18:11Speaker 1: lying in there and going it was awesome, and then
- 18:13Speaker 1: I go, mango body buddy, Yeah right. J D loves
- 18:20Speaker 1: living at Elliott's house. Yeah, it's very plush. She has
- 18:23Speaker 1: all these slippers and soft things and bathtubs, everything that
- 18:26Speaker 1: he's ever wanted but has never been brave enough to
- 18:29Speaker 1: say in front of Turk right before. He doesn't have
- 18:31Speaker 1: any money. I mean we've established it. Elliott parents are rich.
- 18:35Speaker 1: They help her out with her house, so she's got
- 18:36Speaker 1: a nicer house than we than definitely Turk and j
- 18:39Speaker 1: D head. I think Turk would enjoy this as much
- 18:41Speaker 1: as course, yeah, absolutely, yes, as much as j D. Okay,
- 18:45Speaker 1: So then we get to what the fuck is in
- 18:47Speaker 1: the mango body butter day? What did you eat? That's
- 18:50Speaker 1: a good question, do you remember? I think it was
- 18:54Speaker 1: like probably flavored cream, cheese, that's my guess. I remember
- 19:04Speaker 1: it was edible and had to look like body butter,
- 19:06Speaker 1: so I for some reason, I think it was like
- 19:09Speaker 1: not mango, but you know some you know, with cream,
- 19:11Speaker 1: cheese comes in all different flavor. By the way, if
- 19:14Speaker 1: you hear an incessant ice cream truck in my apartment
- 19:18Speaker 1: in New York, I have had so many elaborate fantasies
- 19:21Speaker 1: like doing mc iver shit to this fucking ice cream.
- 19:24Speaker 1: True if you live if you live in New York
- 19:29Speaker 1: and it's summer, you just have to get used to
- 19:32Speaker 1: the fact that you will always hear whenever the fuck
- 19:39Speaker 1: that song. That's not the that's the that's the that's
- 19:42Speaker 1: pop goes the weasel. The ice cream truck song is this, guys.
- 19:49Speaker 1: But the ice cream truck song is do do Dol
- 19:51Speaker 1: dol doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo. Yeah,
- 19:54Speaker 1: I think that's do but it's just NonStop. You just
- 20:00Speaker 1: if you're if you live here, you're required to accept
- 20:03Speaker 1: that you will hear that fucking song all day long. Yeah,
- 20:06Speaker 1: doo doo doo doo doo doo. I can hear him
- 20:08Speaker 1: right now. Doo doo doo doo doo doo. Now I
- 20:11Speaker 1: have laid in my bed and like thought like, Okay,
- 20:13Speaker 1: here's what I gonna do. I don't want to I
- 20:14Speaker 1: don't want to hurt the man's business, but I am
- 20:17Speaker 1: going to take wire cutters and when he's not looking,
- 20:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna clip the little pa speaker thing. The crazy
- 20:24Speaker 1: thing is you live in an area where they're on
- 20:26Speaker 1: a lot of kids running around the only reason why
- 20:29Speaker 1: he would need that song on is so that the
- 20:31Speaker 1: kids know the ice cream truck is coming. Eddie Murphy
- 20:34Speaker 1: did a whole skin a whole frea concession. Dude. He
- 20:37Speaker 1: is parked at the corner. This dude is just lazy.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, this does open up the door, open the door,
- 20:42Speaker 1: like I got ice cream, y'all? Anybody pass him in
- 20:44Speaker 1: any other place? The ice cream truck drives around you
- 20:47Speaker 1: hear it, and your brain goes, do we want ice
- 20:49Speaker 1: cream or not? Right? And then the truck leaves right
- 20:54Speaker 1: in my neighborhood. He's parked. They're all fucking gay. I'm sorry, bro,
- 21:00Speaker 1: And I thought about going to have a chat with him,
- 21:02Speaker 1: like how much ice cream and I have to buy
- 21:04Speaker 1: right now for you to turn for you just to go.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I just want to I want to reason with him,
- 21:09Speaker 1: being like, Bro, the song shouldn't be on all day
- 21:14Speaker 1: the song maybe once an hour, dude, what's this? What's
- 21:18Speaker 1: this fuel bill? Like, dude, if you've got that, it's
- 21:21Speaker 1: off the general dude, Dude, at the top of the hour,
- 21:24Speaker 1: play the song. Remind everyone you're here, but all day long.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'm gonna, I'm gonna cut the wires. It's
- 21:35Speaker 1: such a culture shot coming from Los Angeles to New
- 21:38Speaker 1: York with all the sounds. Well yeah, I mean in
- 21:40Speaker 1: New York we all live on top of each other.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Yea la, we're a little bit spread, all right. So
- 21:44Speaker 1: we've spoken about this stunt a zillion times already, but
- 21:47Speaker 1: it was the most elaborate UM stunt we ever did
- 21:50Speaker 1: and expensive. It might not look that complicated to you
- 21:53Speaker 1: because it's just digging two holes, but um, like, as
- 21:57Speaker 1: far as OSHA standards go, you can't just throw us
- 22:00Speaker 1: stunt man in a hole you dug an asphalt. You
- 22:02Speaker 1: have to like support it because it was deep. So
- 22:06Speaker 1: the first hole is deep and had to be what
- 22:09Speaker 1: do you call it cemented, not cemented, but shored up
- 22:13Speaker 1: shored up is that correct term? Shore up to support
- 22:17Speaker 1: something or keep something from falling by placing something under
- 22:19Speaker 1: or against it. They shored up the roof. Okay, so
- 22:22Speaker 1: they shored it up, and it was and they had
- 22:24Speaker 1: to get permission from the city. I remember Randall telling
- 22:27Speaker 1: us it was a whole big deal. So the way
- 22:29Speaker 1: the stunt goes is that the stunt man it's a
- 22:32Speaker 1: wonner again, which is just to make it one step harder.
- 22:35Speaker 1: The holes are obviously not connected, but the stunt man
- 22:39Speaker 1: drives the scooter into the first one, and then the
- 22:42Speaker 1: camera pans and I'm hiding underwater holding my breath in
- 22:46Speaker 1: the second hole, and then the grips were banging as
- 22:50Speaker 1: hard as they could on the asphalt. That was my
- 22:53Speaker 1: cue because I could hear it very vaguely underwater, and
- 22:55Speaker 1: that's when I popped up. And we only had really,
- 22:59Speaker 1: I think we had two scooters because the scooter is
- 23:01Speaker 1: obviously instantly ruined, so we only could do it like twice.
- 23:04Speaker 1: And uh and it's hilarious. It really like we got it,
- 23:07Speaker 1: and we fucking got it. Dude, I can't now what
- 23:11Speaker 1: did you say? Um? Where was? Yeah? When you come up,
- 23:14Speaker 1: you say where was I, But you say to the janitor, hey,
- 23:16Speaker 1: do you know anything about any odd underground canals? Because
- 23:21Speaker 1: this is a whole riff thing. This is exactly what
- 23:23Speaker 1: I'm talking about what I just did with coal, where
- 23:24Speaker 1: this is one of those situations with Neil where we
- 23:27Speaker 1: were just riffing the stupidest hit and cracking each other up.
- 23:30Speaker 1: We could barely get through this. But yeah, I said,
- 23:33Speaker 1: was is there some sort of underground canal system? Because
- 23:37Speaker 1: I think I saw a manatee? And he goes straight face.
- 23:41Speaker 1: He goes, was his name Julian? And I go we
- 23:43Speaker 1: didn't exchange pleasantries. He goes, that's Julian, So yes, uh,
- 23:49Speaker 1: And there is a manatee that lives underneath the hospital
- 23:52Speaker 1: and a canal, and he's rude. He's not a friendly manatee.
- 23:55Speaker 1: He's not a friend. Oh, I forgot to say. And
- 23:57Speaker 1: here comes a biggin when I drive into the where
- 24:03Speaker 1: was I? So now we go into the ICU. Wait, wait,
- 24:07Speaker 1: the sneaker painting which gives me red ruby slipt and
- 24:10Speaker 1: of course the lines which is eventually going to give
- 24:12Speaker 1: us the yellow brick or yellow brick road. My bad.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Now there was a whole other little elaborate thing that
- 24:16Speaker 1: got cut here with the janitor, but again that's on
- 24:19Speaker 1: the DVD UM and then you're right, we go into
- 24:23Speaker 1: payback is a bitch? Payback, payback is a bitch. Now,
- 24:28Speaker 1: how did this is? My question is what did you
- 24:31Speaker 1: do to Cox? You call? You would call him in
- 24:35Speaker 1: back in the day on his days off, to make
- 24:37Speaker 1: it so that you so you wouldn't have to make
- 24:40Speaker 1: a decision, You wouldn't have to make a tough decision.
- 24:43Speaker 1: So yeah, well, when you're an intern and you're scared
- 24:45Speaker 1: and you don't want to make a crucial call. He's saying,
- 24:48Speaker 1: you called me in so many times for stuff that
- 24:51Speaker 1: he shouldn't called me in on. And I'm so happy
- 24:54Speaker 1: that it's now on you that this is happening to you,
- 24:56Speaker 1: that I've I've literally hired LaVerne's church choir. Bullshit. I
- 25:00Speaker 1: call bullshit right here. How do you get a fucking
- 25:03Speaker 1: church choir inside a hospital behind a curtain only to
- 25:07Speaker 1: reveal it when j D walks into the ice you
- 25:11Speaker 1: can see how did they know? How did they know
- 25:13Speaker 1: that you were coming into the ICU? How did he
- 25:15Speaker 1: know when you were coming in to close the curtain
- 25:17Speaker 1: and be like, I'm God, keep it down. I don't know.
- 25:19Speaker 1: You can see them. It's funny when you turn around
- 25:21Speaker 1: you can see all their legs beneath the curtain. I
- 25:27Speaker 1: didn't look for it, um, but yeah, that was funny.
- 25:30Speaker 1: And then they cut it out there used to there
- 25:31Speaker 1: was a version again, it might be on the DVD.
- 25:33Speaker 1: But where where I get all into it? I mean,
- 25:35Speaker 1: I get a little bit of the spirit and I'm
- 25:36Speaker 1: dancing along to pay back is a bitch? Really? Yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 1: I think in this version, just Keith sort of starts
- 25:42Speaker 1: dancing a bit. Got fucking Keith. Fucking Keith? Um. So
- 25:48Speaker 1: JD wants to get home, all right, so obviously we're right,
- 25:52Speaker 1: it's his day off. He shouldn't be in the hospital,
- 25:54Speaker 1: he should be at home. But he keeps getting called
- 25:57Speaker 1: into action, right, very similar to Dorothy falling into you know,
- 26:03Speaker 1: being twisted up into what's the oz? Yeah, and she
- 26:08Speaker 1: just wants to get home, and he just wants to
- 26:10Speaker 1: get home, and he's trying to escape the hospital, but
- 26:12Speaker 1: everyone keeps pulling him back in. I thought I laughed
- 26:15Speaker 1: out loud and when we gasped collectively when Judy this
- 26:19Speaker 1: is a webster. Yeah, it's just a sitcom. Did you
- 26:25Speaker 1: like Webster? We've spoken. I watched a few episodes. I
- 26:28Speaker 1: don't think Webster was one of my go choose. I
- 26:30Speaker 1: was more of a different stroke d guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 26:33Speaker 1: I know I watched quite a few episodes of Webster,
- 26:35Speaker 1: but I just I don't think. Ye. I thought it
- 26:38Speaker 1: was so cool that Webster had a secret staircase behind
- 26:42Speaker 1: the Grandfather Clark. See, I don't even remember that. Oh yeah,
- 26:45Speaker 1: Webster had his own little secret backstaircase behind I don't
- 26:49Speaker 1: know why he had this or who. I don't think
- 26:52Speaker 1: anyone else used it but Webster. But he had like
- 26:54Speaker 1: a little backway upstairs. What up to his room? Where
- 26:57Speaker 1: did it lead? I don't no. Did he ever used
- 27:01Speaker 1: to look up Webster and his secret grandfather clock staircase?
- 27:05Speaker 1: Now now now because it's a sitcom, did he ever
- 27:08Speaker 1: use it to escape? I don't know. I just I
- 27:10Speaker 1: didn't watch a lot of the show. Like, I'm way
- 27:12Speaker 1: more versed on different strip shows and the zillion others
- 27:16Speaker 1: that we've discussed. But um, anyway, um, that was very
- 27:21Speaker 1: funny when the bassinets all dominot like dominoes. Yeah, that
- 27:27Speaker 1: made me laugh. Also, I wrote down babies falling like dominoes. Yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 1: that was very funny. At four twenty one when Jack.
- 27:34Speaker 1: First of all, Jack is adorable, but he's so multiple
- 27:39Speaker 1: distracted and you can see that, uh Jordan Christa is
- 27:43Speaker 1: holding him and he's looking up clearly at the boom mic. Right,
- 27:47Speaker 1: did you have a boom mic over a little kid's head?
- 27:49Speaker 1: It's so distracting because they want to look at it
- 27:51Speaker 1: like and and that happens multiple times in this show
- 27:54Speaker 1: that he's either staring into the lens or looking up
- 27:58Speaker 1: at the boom mic that's floating right over his head.
- 28:00Speaker 1: And at that very end last epic crane shot, which
- 28:03Speaker 1: which was so elaborate, and I'll tell you how he
- 28:06Speaker 1: did it. But even then when car when Judy's playing
- 28:09Speaker 1: with him, you can see he's looking out the window
- 28:10Speaker 1: at that kid. Ruined every shot he was in in
- 28:14Speaker 1: this episode. So cute, I don't know. But he was
- 28:20Speaker 1: so sweet in the end scene with Judy when when
- 28:22Speaker 1: when when First of all, Johnny sees so good in
- 28:25Speaker 1: this episode, and it was so sweet in that end
- 28:28Speaker 1: scene where he's giving Carla pep talk and he says
- 28:30Speaker 1: it'll be different because they're yours and they both have
- 28:33Speaker 1: these matching giant blue eyes. I thought that was so
- 28:37Speaker 1: um sweet. And uh, Joel is saying that the staircase
- 28:41Speaker 1: went from the living room to the downstairs duplex they had.
- 28:45Speaker 1: That's what it says on the interwebs. I have never
- 28:48Speaker 1: seen this show. Okay, anyway, it was probably their back staircase,
- 28:51Speaker 1: but it was it was hidden behind a grandfather clock.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I don't think it led to like a secret webster
- 28:56Speaker 1: layer or anything. What about both women, we'll talk about
- 28:59Speaker 1: something that an age, well, both women being sexually attracted
- 29:02Speaker 1: to Rudy Giuliani. Yeah, that's what I was gonna write.
- 29:04Speaker 1: That's what I wrote. I was like, I wrote, Uh,
- 29:06Speaker 1: this was back when people liked Rudy Juliani before he
- 29:10Speaker 1: lost his fucking mind. And I'm that's not a political
- 29:13Speaker 1: thing to say. Okay, it's not crazy. It is a
- 29:18Speaker 1: fact that the man has lost his g darned mind.
- 29:22Speaker 1: He's not misunderstood that dude's just crazy. You can be
- 29:26Speaker 1: a Republican, it's okay, but you have to admit that
- 29:29Speaker 1: Giuliani has lost his fucking mind. He's a nut job
- 29:33Speaker 1: with his fucking hair dye dripping down his face. He's
- 29:36Speaker 1: a nut job. He gave his press conference at the
- 29:39Speaker 1: Four Seasons Landscaper because he thought it was a Four
- 29:42Speaker 1: Seasons hotel, and then still didn't change his mind, being like, guys,
- 29:45Speaker 1: we can't, we can't do this press conference in a
- 29:48Speaker 1: parking lot for a landscaping company. I'm just gonna do it,
- 29:51Speaker 1: you know, I'm just gonna go. We're gonna do it.
- 29:52Speaker 1: We're gonna do it. We're all here, Let's do it.
- 29:56Speaker 1: There was a crew member on the on the Cole
- 29:58Speaker 1: Sprouse movie who had a Forced Season's Landscaping T shirt.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I want one, one I want anyway. You know, this
- 30:05Speaker 1: was around a time when Giuliani was still such a hero,
- 30:08Speaker 1: you know, after he was such a badass during nine
- 30:10Speaker 1: eleven and he you know, he was people thought he
- 30:14Speaker 1: could be president and he was. He was he was
- 30:16Speaker 1: a hero, and so it was. It didn't it wasn't
- 30:19Speaker 1: out of place for these two women to be like,
- 30:20Speaker 1: oh my god, Giuliani. Yeah, now it's a little out
- 30:23Speaker 1: of place, especially after especially after bore at two and everything.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I think I think that there's you keep you can
- 30:31Speaker 1: keep saying there's been a low point, but they just
- 30:34Speaker 1: keep coming. So um. Anyway, the press conference at the
- 30:38Speaker 1: Landscaping Company was one of them? All right, Rabbidu is
- 30:41Speaker 1: Elliott's intern? Did you see that? As Scott Rabbidu my
- 30:44Speaker 1: stand in who you guys see? Uh? Who you guys
- 30:47Speaker 1: heard on the on the special episode with the with
- 30:50Speaker 1: the standings. And also later we see Renee as another
- 30:54Speaker 1: one of another interns and Rabbi they both have lines,
- 30:58Speaker 1: so that was good and delibered them well, they both
- 31:01Speaker 1: did a great job. And then Elliott calls her interns
- 31:04Speaker 1: rock tours. Yeah, and then and we learned that Elliott
- 31:09Speaker 1: is hiding right because they all think she's good at
- 31:13Speaker 1: what is it? It's um end of chronology chogy or something.
- 31:19Speaker 1: She went and did a she went and did a fellowship,
- 31:22Speaker 1: but she only lasted five days. And she's come back
- 31:24Speaker 1: all cocky about all her experience and they're like and
- 31:28Speaker 1: and even Cox can't figure out how she's getting all
- 31:30Speaker 1: these answers. We learned that she's hiding them all over
- 31:33Speaker 1: the place, which is very funny. While Ted's band is
- 31:35Speaker 1: singing maniac which was phenomenal. Also, uh uh, you didn't
- 31:41Speaker 1: go to Assphace school, but you seem to be doing
- 31:44Speaker 1: a great job at that, and then you running over
- 31:46Speaker 1: and giving a high five. Yes, and I got right,
- 31:49Speaker 1: and she goes and he goes, you got a high five?
- 31:51Speaker 1: That really? And I didn't know. I didn't know what
- 31:53Speaker 1: it was for. I gotta stop doing that. Yes, okay.
- 31:56Speaker 1: First of all, there's no am I right and I
- 31:59Speaker 1: go here's um. Okay. First of all, there's no reference
- 32:02Speaker 1: in the show at all of you go getting out
- 32:05Speaker 1: of control with high fives at all at any point
- 32:08Speaker 1: in the show. There were there were cut. There was
- 32:09Speaker 1: other ones in this episode that were cut. So when
- 32:12Speaker 1: I watched it, I was like, wait a second, I
- 32:13Speaker 1: don't I don't what huh? I thought that would have
- 32:16Speaker 1: been a great time for Todd to show up out
- 32:17Speaker 1: of nowhere. Yeah, you know what I mean? There was,
- 32:20Speaker 1: but I think there was a really there were like
- 32:23Speaker 1: this was another runner of in the episode, and it's
- 32:26Speaker 1: probably in the ten minute long version, but it was
- 32:28Speaker 1: not in this one. But I did laugh. But but
- 32:31Speaker 1: then when I saw inflatable five, I was like, yeah,
- 32:34Speaker 1: you can't bring them in with that high five. You
- 32:36Speaker 1: gotta bring him in inflatable. Everyone's got all this present
- 32:39Speaker 1: now you you you commissioned a kelso bubblehead. That doesn't
- 32:43Speaker 1: feel like a cheap present. No, it doesn't at all, doesn't.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Not only not only that that was the bubbleheads that
- 32:49Speaker 1: we got as rap gifts. I think yes. So what
- 32:52Speaker 1: happened was, I obviously the prop department found a company
- 32:55Speaker 1: that would make you know, special bespoke bubbleheads, and then
- 32:59Speaker 1: once Bill saw how great they were, he hired them
- 33:03Speaker 1: to make for all of us. We all got um
- 33:07Speaker 1: you know, they weren't like professionally made. I mean they
- 33:10Speaker 1: were made by an artist who made these things. And
- 33:13Speaker 1: we each got all six or seven cast members. Yeah,
- 33:17Speaker 1: everybody got one. Do you still have yours? Yeah, somewhere.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Some of them are broken. I still have them somewhere.
- 33:24Speaker 1: But that's where Yeah, that's where Bill got the ideas.
- 33:26Speaker 1: And it was a really nice present from it. It
- 33:28Speaker 1: was such a great present. I love this. Did you eat?
- 33:30Speaker 1: Did you eat? My mango body butter? No? Schmuel a bagel.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Everyone brings in presents because they're all trying to schmooze
- 33:42Speaker 1: Kelso to get this heart transplant, which also sets up
- 33:47Speaker 1: this device that you're looking for a heart. Elliott is
- 33:50Speaker 1: looking for brains and Carla is looking for courage, correct,
- 33:53Speaker 1: because Carla doesn't want to have kids. After babysitting baby Jack, right,
- 33:58Speaker 1: she babysits Jack for not very along and realizes, fuck this,
- 34:01Speaker 1: I don't think I have it in me. This kid's
- 34:03Speaker 1: are painting the ass. I don't want this, right and
- 34:06Speaker 1: Cox later points out to her that when it's your child,
- 34:09Speaker 1: it's different because she's like, I want to smush this
- 34:11Speaker 1: kid's face. Now you want to smush your kid's face too.
- 34:15Speaker 1: You just don't do it. You just you just don't
- 34:18Speaker 1: do it like my kids. Mike, Okay, so here's a
- 34:22Speaker 1: great example. My kid had a great, uh weekend, all weekend, right.
- 34:27Speaker 1: He played on Saturday, scored two goals in his soccer game.
- 34:33Speaker 1: He's a huge fan of basketball. Now, right, so his
- 34:37Speaker 1: favorite team is you know, whichever team is in the playoffs.
- 34:41Speaker 1: So right now, Phoenix is his favorite team because he
- 34:44Speaker 1: likes Devin Booker. He's only he's only seven, now, you
- 34:47Speaker 1: gotta remember that. So he loves Devin Booker. He really
- 34:49Speaker 1: likes uh uh, Chris Paul, he likes DeAndre Ayton. They're
- 34:54Speaker 1: the Phoenix Suns and they're going up against Milwaukee, which
- 34:57Speaker 1: have Okay, now, they have this is the end of
- 34:59Speaker 1: the tournament, the end of the season. Janna started to Kompo,
- 35:03Speaker 1: Drew Holliday, Chris Middleton are the stars on They have
- 35:07Speaker 1: plenty more stars, but those are the three. Sport so much, dude,
- 35:11Speaker 1: It's the craziest. It's the craziest thing ever. This dude
- 35:13Speaker 1: wants to watch documentaries. He's listen. He's watching Kobe Bryant's
- 35:16Speaker 1: detail to try and figure out how to play better basketball.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I got video after video of him from when he
- 35:22Speaker 1: first started playing basketball to how he's playing now. His
- 35:25Speaker 1: shot looks really good. He's ripping people, he's shake, he's
- 35:28Speaker 1: got moves, whereas before he couldn't do any of that. Anyway,
- 35:32Speaker 1: this kid tells me last night, I mean two nights ago,
- 35:37Speaker 1: that it's my fault that the Phoenix Suns lost. Why
- 35:41Speaker 1: when they because he couldn't take the pain. And we're like,
- 35:44Speaker 1: it's okay, baby, don't worry about it. This is how
- 35:48Speaker 1: basketball goes. Crying yeah, crying, crying, Yeah, dude, I've cried
- 35:53Speaker 1: at basketball games several times now. But why I understand.
- 35:55Speaker 1: I can understand he's crying his team loss, he's upset.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Why is he blaming it on you so, because we're
- 36:00Speaker 1: trying to calm him down, and we're like, baby, it's okay,
- 36:03Speaker 1: it's quite all right, don't worry about it. This happens.
- 36:05Speaker 1: It's just a game. And he looks at me and
- 36:07Speaker 1: he goes, it's your fault. They lost, and I go,
- 36:09Speaker 1: it's my fault. How's it my fault? He because he
- 36:12Speaker 1: didn't root it hard enough for the phoenix suns. Oh my,
- 36:18Speaker 1: oh my god. Maybe I'm not ready to be a parent, dude.
- 36:22Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to say. Lack of logic. Their
- 36:24Speaker 1: lack of logic. Ye frustrated. You want to smush your
- 36:27Speaker 1: own kid's face too. You just don't do it. You
- 36:29Speaker 1: just don't do it. That's funny, that's funny, Oh man,
- 36:33Speaker 1: you just don't do it. When he said that, I
- 36:36Speaker 1: was like, wait a second, I didn't root. You must
- 36:38Speaker 1: have laughed in his face, though, Dude, I'd laughed so hard,
- 36:40Speaker 1: and then my wife laughed so hard, and then he ran,
- 36:43Speaker 1: he ran away from us. Now you're laughing at me, dude,
- 36:48Speaker 1: this kid man, well you it's the ultimate nature nurture. Man.
- 36:52Speaker 1: You really created your own mini me. Just wait till
- 36:54Speaker 1: he's like, dad, will you teach me how to anime.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Oh no, that's not gonna happen. Please don't do that.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I love to animate and everything like that. I want
- 37:02Speaker 1: him out the house right now. Animation takes a lot
- 37:04Speaker 1: of time inside. I want to playing sports. We got him,
- 37:08Speaker 1: You got him playing sports. You did it. We did that. Now,
- 37:11Speaker 1: look I come into the ICU and um, I'm I
- 37:16Speaker 1: have bloody hands when first of all, I'm not in scrubs. Um,
- 37:19Speaker 1: I'm in just a normal ICU bit and I'm on
- 37:23Speaker 1: just a normal ic bit and I've got completely bloody hands.
- 37:26Speaker 1: It looks like I'm digging in someone's open chest. Cathy,
- 37:29Speaker 1: you are digging in someone's word. I don't think that
- 37:31Speaker 1: that's medically accurate. I know Scrubs is surprize itself on
- 37:34Speaker 1: being medically accurate. I felt a bit much in the
- 37:37Speaker 1: middle of the ICU. I laughed. I laughed very hard.
- 37:40Speaker 1: That's a very funny. I'm a little busy now here.
- 37:43Speaker 1: And he plays up your hands with the ball on it. Now,
- 37:45Speaker 1: she's a maniac. And he and not only that, Sam
- 37:48Speaker 1: Lloyd pours the water on himself. Like the movie, what's
- 37:52Speaker 1: the movie? Flashdance is what it is for those of
- 37:55Speaker 1: you who are too young. Flashdance was a movie about
- 37:58Speaker 1: a dancer who were worked and steel Mill, Yeah and
- 38:04Speaker 1: Detroit or something like that. You know who to start
- 38:05Speaker 1: at show? That movie was Jennifer Bee a k A.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Bet On L word. Oh right, right right, sorry? Which
- 38:15Speaker 1: is a show that I'm on? I forgot streaming now
- 38:18Speaker 1: on Showtime if if I'm correct, in August, it'll be
- 38:21Speaker 1: streaming on Showtime. So and this is where we see
- 38:23Speaker 1: you have sex? Huh? Well I have sex on I
- 38:27Speaker 1: have sex on scrubs too. But I know, but don't
- 38:29Speaker 1: you have um don't listen, man, listen, listen, listen. We
- 38:34Speaker 1: are not allowed to get into it. Let's just let's
- 38:38Speaker 1: just say. Let's just say there's some intimacy. Okay, but
- 38:42Speaker 1: what episode? Because I'm not gonna watch With all due
- 38:44Speaker 1: respect of the L word, I'm not gonna watch all
- 38:46Speaker 1: of it. I want to see your coins. I'm in
- 38:48Speaker 1: damn near every episode. Listen. I will, I will, I will,
- 38:50Speaker 1: I will, I will. Uh, I will tell you when?
- 38:55Speaker 1: When are you unwilling to let our fans all across
- 38:58Speaker 1: the world know when they might see you simulate sex
- 39:02Speaker 1: on elward? No, I want everybody to see it. Okay,
- 39:06Speaker 1: I want to see it both your one, Amanda, um
- 39:09Speaker 1: uh know exactly which episode is the best? Six sex scenes?
- 39:13Speaker 1: Oh wait now, hold on, now, hold on now, I'm
- 39:15Speaker 1: about to say I don't have that bridget Tin body,
- 39:17Speaker 1: so I don't want everybody thinking they're gonna see uh
- 39:21Speaker 1: I know. But Casey and Amanda, Remember, they get all
- 39:23Speaker 1: hot and bothered when they talk about episode six, which
- 39:25Speaker 1: I never made it to see, but I watched. I watched,
- 39:28Speaker 1: I watched it. It's not it's oh, it's like girl
- 39:31Speaker 1: Girls soft chord. Yes, it's yeah, it's like skin a Max.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Is it like skin a Max? No, because I could
- 39:38Speaker 1: get off of skin Max. It's well, Amanda and Casey
- 39:43Speaker 1: they love that guy. Yeah, I'm really I'm really anxious
- 39:48Speaker 1: to see what they do this, not me personally watching
- 39:52Speaker 1: the show, but what they do to bring back that
- 39:54Speaker 1: type of hype this season on that on that bridget tension.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I can't believe that guy left. What was this reason
- 39:59Speaker 1: for leaving? No, he didn't leave. He's apparently he's only
- 40:02Speaker 1: supposed to be in the first season. Now they're going
- 40:05Speaker 1: to go into a different family, and they wanted him
- 40:07Speaker 1: to come back and play like in like a few
- 40:09Speaker 1: episodes and not pay him. And he was like, I'm good.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Oh oh, we are going to take a break and
- 40:16Speaker 1: when we come back, we're gonna talk about Christa's giant inflated,
- 40:20Speaker 1: silicon filled lips that are hilarious. How did they do that?
- 40:25Speaker 1: The magic of cinema will be right back and wrap
- 40:44Speaker 1: little Oh me? Lamm? Was that too loud for you? Nanel? Damn?
- 40:48Speaker 1: I So you got new headphones? There are those the
- 40:51Speaker 1: latest and greatest headphones on the market. Mine, we're just
- 40:54Speaker 1: starting to peel away and the leather on them was
- 40:57Speaker 1: starting to just like get into my clothes and hair.
- 41:00Speaker 1: So I needed a needed an upgrade. You got some brand,
- 41:02Speaker 1: brand new headphones. They don't even look like headphones. They
- 41:05Speaker 1: look like that's a radio in that motherfucker already. Wow,
- 41:08Speaker 1: they look like very Do you remember et at the
- 41:12Speaker 1: end of the movie when they're all on the bikes
- 41:14Speaker 1: and that kid puts the headphones on his head, remember
- 41:17Speaker 1: radio house? It looks like those what brand they Logitech
- 41:23Speaker 1: G seven thirty three. Oh, but they're good for gaming,
- 41:26Speaker 1: They're quite good. The main selling point for me was
- 41:28Speaker 1: the lack of leather and the long wireless range so
- 41:30Speaker 1: that I can you know, walk around the house with
- 41:32Speaker 1: them on and not have to take them off and
- 41:34Speaker 1: spy on my friends when they think they're talking behind
- 41:36Speaker 1: my back. Now, does have a microphone built in for
- 41:38Speaker 1: when you're doing your live twitch stream? It does. I
- 41:42Speaker 1: don't use it, though. I still use this setup because
- 41:44Speaker 1: it just sounds so much better. Okay, by the way,
- 41:47Speaker 1: thanks to it. Thanks to all of y'all for for
- 41:49Speaker 1: shouting out the twitch on the podcast. A lot of
- 41:51Speaker 1: people came, oh, really did make it rain? Well, they
- 41:56Speaker 1: made it rain, and I did do a little twerking,
- 41:59Speaker 1: did you Danel Daniel? I think I'm pretty sure. I
- 42:06Speaker 1: texted the group saying, by the way, I'm streaming today. Okay,
- 42:08Speaker 1: will you do it again? You got to say, by
- 42:10Speaker 1: the way, I'm twerking today? Now I'm streaming today, Daniel.
- 42:13Speaker 1: I've been um, I've been traveling and changing my whole
- 42:17Speaker 1: life too, and I really I really need to know
- 42:21Speaker 1: when Donald and I can come make it rain, So
- 42:23Speaker 1: please do text us on the group chat again. I
- 42:25Speaker 1: will this five five pm this Wednesday. Now, if I
- 42:28Speaker 1: come on there and you're in some wizard game, wait,
- 42:31Speaker 1: when is it? When is it five pm this Wednesday,
- 42:35Speaker 1: It's eight pm. And uh. And by the way, if
- 42:38Speaker 1: you are a person who likes watching people play video games, um,
- 42:42Speaker 1: you gotta follow Daniel on Twitter and Instagram because they'll
- 42:46Speaker 1: tell you when he's when he's going live. I will.
- 42:49Speaker 1: There are people out there, believe that are not Donald,
- 42:52Speaker 1: that like to watch other people play video games. My
- 42:55Speaker 1: kid is one of them, believe it or not. Yeah, well,
- 42:58Speaker 1: but let your kid watch Daniel in it and have
- 43:00Speaker 1: your kid make it rain on Daniel. My but what
- 43:05Speaker 1: game does he play with? Daniel? What a game are
- 43:07Speaker 1: you playing? Well? Right now, I just started a new
- 43:10Speaker 1: segment and I'm playing the new Super Mario game. Mario.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Everybody likes it. Like that game? Everybody likes it? Yeah? Yeah, Now, Daniel,
- 43:18Speaker 1: wouldn't you want to pick a game? And this might
- 43:21Speaker 1: be the answer that that is as as popular as possible.
- 43:24Speaker 1: So it's like it's like a stripper. She wants to
- 43:28Speaker 1: pick the sexiest outfit so that the most men surround
- 43:31Speaker 1: her on the poll and throw money at her. Do
- 43:33Speaker 1: you do you strategically pick a game that a lot
- 43:36Speaker 1: of people like? That is a great question, Zach, And
- 43:39Speaker 1: sometimes yes, sometimes know when you play the most popular
- 43:42Speaker 1: game in the Twitch interface, you're then up against everybody
- 43:46Speaker 1: else who's playing that game, like put exactly, so like
- 43:52Speaker 1: if he's playing, he's at the top of the list,
- 43:54Speaker 1: and then he has twenty thousand viewers, and then the
- 43:57Speaker 1: next person has like eight thousand, and then seven thousand
- 44:01Speaker 1: and five four, and so I don't even show up
- 44:02Speaker 1: at the top of the list. If I don't have
- 44:04Speaker 1: thousands of views, a smaller game, got it, I show
- 44:07Speaker 1: up higher on the list. I really think you should
- 44:10Speaker 1: play Tetris because I bet there's no one doing it
- 44:13Speaker 1: well and you'd be number one. That's very kind of
- 44:16Speaker 1: you to say, I'll get into some Tetris and we'll
- 44:18Speaker 1: see how I do. What game would you like to
- 44:20Speaker 1: see him play? Well? See, the games I like are
- 44:23Speaker 1: very very, very popular game, so there's going to be
- 44:26Speaker 1: a lot of people twitching them. So like, hey, gta down,
- 44:31Speaker 1: I love I love I love Breath of the Wild.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I love uh Okay, Like, dude, Breath of the Wild
- 44:39Speaker 1: is still like I know we talked about this when
- 44:41Speaker 1: we first started making this, uh podcast, Daniel, You're absolutely right.
- 44:46Speaker 1: That might be the most perfect game ever made. Dude,
- 44:51Speaker 1: Like if you're into dungeon dragons or you're into like
- 44:55Speaker 1: just great, it's just great storytelling, great visuals, simple graphic,
- 45:00Speaker 1: simple enough graphics that that that, uh, but not too
- 45:04Speaker 1: crude that you like, this is bullshit. You're like, you'll
- 45:06Speaker 1: you know, it's it's enough that you're like, wow, look
- 45:09Speaker 1: at this. I'll tell you right now. Best graphics I've
- 45:11Speaker 1: seen in a game that the type that I like
- 45:14Speaker 1: Red Dead Redemption. Dude, when that first came out, Redemption,
- 45:17Speaker 1: you were going to say that that game is beauty.
- 45:19Speaker 1: When when that game first came out, I was wanting
- 45:24Speaker 1: there's a lot of people that play it, Like he said,
- 45:26Speaker 1: it's a popular game, but that games next on the backlog.
- 45:30Speaker 1: I had a vote between on my on my Discord channel,
- 45:32Speaker 1: I had a vote and Super Mario Odyssey beat Red
- 45:35Speaker 1: Dead Redemption two by one vote. Wow. Wow. I was
- 45:39Speaker 1: about to play it, but then the people chose I
- 45:41Speaker 1: would I would have been on that game with you
- 45:43Speaker 1: watching it. I'm pretty deep in the Red Dead Redemption
- 45:46Speaker 1: up until pandemic happened. When I was in New York
- 45:49Speaker 1: doing Emergence and Jersey doing Emergence. I mean, dude, I'm
- 45:53Speaker 1: gonna tell you something right now. I was playing the
- 45:55Speaker 1: shit out of that game. On my time off. I
- 45:57Speaker 1: would go to work, I came come home and just
- 45:59Speaker 1: play that game. Can I extreme anything? Yeah? Anything? And
- 46:04Speaker 1: it does have to be can have to be PG
- 46:06Speaker 1: or can it be R rated? It can be r rated.
- 46:09Speaker 1: You just can't, you know, there's no like nudity or
- 46:11Speaker 1: sex or anything like that. But you can do whatever
- 46:13Speaker 1: you want. Okay, you can't. You can't manhandle yourself. No, no, no, no,
- 46:19Speaker 1: not on Twitch, but there are websites for that. That's Patreon.
- 46:23Speaker 1: That's only fans, only fans. My free can do my
- 46:30Speaker 1: fid Okay, okay. Hustle, I'm just thinking about a side hustle. Oka,
- 46:35Speaker 1: It's a good side hustle. Back to the show Donald,
- 46:38Speaker 1: It's called The Scrubs. It's hundred episode. UM. Patrick Bolton
- 46:44Speaker 1: is a nurse. Patrick Bolton our friend who's the set dresser. Um.
- 46:49Speaker 1: He is a nurse in the scene when when everyone's
- 46:53Speaker 1: hiding from from Carlo, right before she realizes she doesn't
- 46:57Speaker 1: like kids, and then one of my favorite scenes we've
- 47:00Speaker 1: ever shot together comes up. Oh the lesbian cloud. Lesbian cloud.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Now I remember this being like made up on the day, Right,
- 47:10Speaker 1: this was in the script, was it? No? I think
- 47:12Speaker 1: we're at the point where Bill is now writing the
- 47:14Speaker 1: script as we go along too, though I don't know.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I don't know that, I don't know. I'm not saying
- 47:21Speaker 1: I'm not saying that we came up with it, but
- 47:22Speaker 1: I'm saying I feel like I remember this. There were
- 47:24Speaker 1: different iterations of this joke, and I think that the writers,
- 47:27Speaker 1: by the we were playing with it on set, and
- 47:29Speaker 1: it took a while till we ended up with what
- 47:31Speaker 1: it what it became. But the milkshake pool on the
- 47:34Speaker 1: lesbian cloud and if they write and if and and
- 47:38Speaker 1: what was the other thing? And if they and if
- 47:40Speaker 1: they betray us? They end up in the in hey,
- 47:42Speaker 1: I'll watching the view, Yeah, next to the unreachable cupcake table,
- 47:48Speaker 1: right right. So in the second act of the show,
- 47:51Speaker 1: after we've all established that we the different things that
- 47:53Speaker 1: the characters want Allah Wizard of oz Um, it takes
- 47:57Speaker 1: on a more like bold Okay, we're officially in the world.
- 48:00Speaker 1: So the colors are all saturated, meant to like mimic
- 48:03Speaker 1: the vibe of Chechnicolor back in the day. It's very bright. Yeah,
- 48:07Speaker 1: it's bright, and the costumes are more saturated, and I
- 48:10Speaker 1: think you know, you know, Judy, I remember is in
- 48:12Speaker 1: that like Hot Pink. I think everything was sort of
- 48:15Speaker 1: cranked up. It wasn't just in the coloring in post production,
- 48:18Speaker 1: but also in the in the costumes. But yes, you're
- 48:21Speaker 1: still in a muted outfit except for your shoes. Eh. Yeah,
- 48:23Speaker 1: I'm totally muted. Um. I don't know why I chose
- 48:27Speaker 1: or Carrie chose me to be in like Brown, but
- 48:30Speaker 1: I am. Um. Now, this body bag thing is really funny. Okay,
- 48:35Speaker 1: there's a few things wrong with the scene too, And
- 48:38Speaker 1: I didn't have to go to scrubs Wiki to see
- 48:39Speaker 1: the ship, right. I remember this when it's obviously a
- 48:42Speaker 1: foam fire extinguisher and Johnny is clutching it so tightly
- 48:46Speaker 1: that you can see it's fig right, you can see
- 48:49Speaker 1: him squeezing. Well, he's nervously. I was. First of all,
- 48:52Speaker 1: this is an example of how someone directing and they're
- 48:54Speaker 1: in the scene can fuck up. Because I'm in a
- 48:56Speaker 1: fucking body bag. I'm not exactly seeing that Johnny is
- 49:00Speaker 1: nervously squeezing the fire extinguisher, which is just a piece
- 49:04Speaker 1: of foam. It looks really funny when you rewatch it
- 49:07Speaker 1: because he nails me with it, and then of course
- 49:09Speaker 1: we should have switched it out. But in his close
- 49:12Speaker 1: up he's like squeezing it like it's a pillow. Yeah,
- 49:15Speaker 1: Castle baby, Johnny Castleman. That dialogue is so funny. Dead
- 49:20Speaker 1: people should remain dead because I thought you were dead?
- 49:23Speaker 1: Then why are you hitting me? Because dead people should
- 49:26Speaker 1: be dead? Very funny. And then the janitor needs an
- 49:31Speaker 1: oil can. So I guess he's sort of the tin
- 49:33Speaker 1: man in this story. Okay, so if he's the tin man,
- 49:38Speaker 1: then what is Carla? Was the line? Because that's courage.
- 49:44Speaker 1: You should have been the tin man. I guess you're
- 49:46Speaker 1: the tin man. I guess you're the tin man. It's
- 49:48Speaker 1: just he's just getting that jokey line like give me
- 49:51Speaker 1: the oil can, oil can. Yeah, you need the heart now.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Ray Boulger is the name of the actor who played
- 49:58Speaker 1: the scarecrow. I'm so confused. The character that's donating the
- 50:04Speaker 1: heart is named Ray Boulger, right, which I can leave
- 50:08Speaker 1: is the name of the actor who played the scarecrow.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Got it because because it's because if you're really paying attention,
- 50:15Speaker 1: you have that awesome scene with David Downs and you
- 50:19Speaker 1: go Okay, what's his name? And he says Ray and
- 50:22Speaker 1: then it becomes clear that his name is Ray Boulger. Okay,
- 50:25Speaker 1: but here's the thing. The scarecrow didn't need the heart.
- 50:28Speaker 1: The scarecrow needed the brain. Then Elliot's the scarecrow, right
- 50:34Speaker 1: because actually Cox even calls her like your straw headed
- 50:38Speaker 1: scarecrow self. Right. Um, so Eliot's the scarecrow because she
- 50:43Speaker 1: needs brains. Right. The ten Man needed a heart and
- 50:48Speaker 1: the Lion needed courage. Is God's Carla? Right? And and
- 50:52Speaker 1: Jack is the wicked witch, but so is Jordan. No,
- 50:57Speaker 1: Jackson munchkin that turns grain? Are there green munchkins in
- 51:02Speaker 1: The Wizard of Oz? No? In the movie a horse
- 51:04Speaker 1: turns a different color. It's the horse of a different color.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Is the only thing that really changes color in the movie. Well,
- 51:12Speaker 1: I don't know why I assumed there was a munchkin
- 51:14Speaker 1: who happened to be green, because I didn't understand why
- 51:17Speaker 1: Jack was green because he's the witch. He's scary or no? Yeah,
- 51:25Speaker 1: well yeah, obviously that's that's that's meant to bring up
- 51:28Speaker 1: the witch. But I feel like because he's the scary
- 51:30Speaker 1: thing that uh Carl is afraid of that that's the
- 51:35Speaker 1: you know what I mean, But you know that's that's
- 51:38Speaker 1: an interpretation. I guess he could be another witch. There's
- 51:41Speaker 1: multiple witches. By the way, we just to return to
- 51:43Speaker 1: the lips. Those are kudos to the makeup department. Those
- 51:46Speaker 1: should look good. Those were just silicon or I don't
- 51:49Speaker 1: know what they were made of there, phip foam, But
- 51:52Speaker 1: the way that they glued them on, it looked so real.
- 51:55Speaker 1: It really looked like she'd been stung by a bee
- 51:57Speaker 1: in her lips. You know that should that sh Krista
- 52:01Speaker 1: had me Rolland oh my god, her having to explain
- 52:04Speaker 1: it all while she's doing it. Yes, like she could
- 52:06Speaker 1: be in the room and just do it by herself
- 52:08Speaker 1: and then let the action do it. But every mistake
- 52:11Speaker 1: she makes, she explains it to the freaking audience. That
- 52:15Speaker 1: shit had me roll. And the noises, the noises Christa's
- 52:18Speaker 1: makes are so funny when she goes I can't even
- 52:26Speaker 1: duplicate it, but it's like, oh, that was really funny.
- 52:33Speaker 1: How about when you when you're right? So let's talk
- 52:36Speaker 1: with the scene. With every downs you're acting is so
- 52:38Speaker 1: good in the scene, man, I appreciate it, and thank
- 52:40Speaker 1: you very very it's very easy to act when you
- 52:43Speaker 1: got a good director, yes, and a good scene partner
- 52:46Speaker 1: because David no doubt, wonderful shit actor and a really
- 52:49Speaker 1: good teacher man, great teacher and also just a wonderful man. Anyway,
- 52:54Speaker 1: he goes, Ugo, you can ask me anything, and he go,
- 52:56Speaker 1: do you shave your head because you like the way
- 52:59Speaker 1: it looks her? Because you're going bad? How do you
- 53:07Speaker 1: say one syllable and it's so funny you don't know?
- 53:10Speaker 1: You like held it back and then you're like, like,
- 53:18Speaker 1: you've never revealed that to another soul. I'm gonna be
- 53:21Speaker 1: honest with you. I think it's all of us working together.
- 53:24Speaker 1: At this point, I was, you know, you look for
- 53:28Speaker 1: new ways to say things, and I was very brave
- 53:30Speaker 1: at this point, and I felt like I could say
- 53:32Speaker 1: it this way, and I think I could get a
- 53:34Speaker 1: laugh out of it, and so you know, when you're
- 53:37Speaker 1: you know, that's that's It's not to make a big
- 53:40Speaker 1: story out of a out of one line, but that
- 53:43Speaker 1: when I watched that. When I watched that today, I
- 53:45Speaker 1: was like, Wow, that was a very interesting choice. How
- 53:48Speaker 1: did I come up with that choice? And my only
- 53:50Speaker 1: explanation for it all is like at this point I
- 53:53Speaker 1: was willing to try anything to make people laugh. Yeah,
- 53:57Speaker 1: well it was a good choice. It reminded me remember
- 53:59Speaker 1: were talking along while ago about Michael J. Foxon is
- 54:02Speaker 1: impeccable timing. It's like if you take the pause split
- 54:07Speaker 1: seconds longer. I think one of the things that's funny
- 54:09Speaker 1: about it is there is like the obvious amount of pause,
- 54:12Speaker 1: and then you took a few micro seconds longer, which
- 54:16Speaker 1: and then and then really hit the b hard. I
- 54:18Speaker 1: don't know it and your face. It was all very
- 54:21Speaker 1: very funny, and that scene is just very moving and
- 54:24Speaker 1: very simple and um. But even what he says though too,
- 54:29Speaker 1: even how he says it, though, you know what I mean,
- 54:31Speaker 1: why are all these people doing this? Because if you,
- 54:34Speaker 1: if your son gives his if your son gives his heart,
- 54:37Speaker 1: we all whoever gets convinces you, gets to do the
- 54:40Speaker 1: operation right. And he says, you know, these people are
- 54:44Speaker 1: all these people all I think it's something like I'm paraphrasing,
- 54:47Speaker 1: these people all want my son's heart, but they don't
- 54:50Speaker 1: even know his name. Yeah, And that just tells you
- 54:54Speaker 1: the disconnect that surgeons have really when you think about it,
- 54:57Speaker 1: from the people that they're operating. Yeah, but then you do,
- 55:00Speaker 1: then you do a very you say a very noble thing,
- 55:02Speaker 1: and that you can say, listen, I'm going to be
- 55:05Speaker 1: blunt with you. This is the right thing to do.
- 55:08Speaker 1: This that your child is not he's not going to
- 55:10Speaker 1: make it, and this heart will save someone who will
- 55:13Speaker 1: make its life. And you can you can say you
- 55:15Speaker 1: don't want me on the surgery, but it is the
- 55:17Speaker 1: right thing to do. And I thought you were really
- 55:19Speaker 1: good there. Thank you, but I gave myself goose bumps
- 55:21Speaker 1: describing your performance. I love it. Thank you. But here's
- 55:26Speaker 1: here's here's a question. Is that Turk's right to say
- 55:29Speaker 1: that to that man? Well, he asked his opinion. I
- 55:32Speaker 1: think I think it's Turk's right to say what he
- 55:36Speaker 1: if he's asked his opinion what he thinks is right.
- 55:38Speaker 1: You know, um, you know you should everyone. I want
- 55:41Speaker 1: to remind everyone to read a Manda's book which has
- 55:43Speaker 1: really stuck with me about Nick's passing and the whole experience.
- 55:47Speaker 1: It's called Live Your Life. You can get it everywhere
- 55:49Speaker 1: as an audiobook if you prefer to listen to books.
- 55:52Speaker 1: But there's a lot of doctors in there giving their
- 55:54Speaker 1: opinions and part of the battle that she had was
- 55:57Speaker 1: they didn't often line up and she talked to one
- 55:59Speaker 1: guy and he'd sit her down and have a heart
- 56:01Speaker 1: to heart and she'd be crying and go, okay, okay,
- 56:03Speaker 1: I got it. And then she'd go talk to someone
- 56:05Speaker 1: else and like, what the hell's he talking about? I
- 56:06Speaker 1: don't listen. Don't listen to doctor Tim, you know, and
- 56:09Speaker 1: she'd be like so confused, you know, because it isn't
- 56:13Speaker 1: it isn't an exact science. It's there's definitely room for interpretation.
- 56:17Speaker 1: And of course, in this situation, when it's time to
- 56:21Speaker 1: give up and say, yes, now you can harvest my
- 56:25Speaker 1: child's organs, I mean, who can say when that time comes.
- 56:28Speaker 1: But but Turk certainly had an opinion that, you know,
- 56:31Speaker 1: with or without him performing the surgery, that it is
- 56:34Speaker 1: it was time. It was the right thing to do.
- 56:36Speaker 1: And in terms of being able to save another human
- 56:38Speaker 1: being's life, right on, how about still I love it
- 56:42Speaker 1: when Bonds wins at the game that he I don't think.
- 56:46Speaker 1: I don't think Elliott knows who is so Barry Bonds was.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Let me see how much I got right. He was
- 56:51Speaker 1: a very famous home run hitter and he had huge
- 56:55Speaker 1: arms and he would hit the ball very far. And
- 56:58Speaker 1: then it came out that he was on steroids. Yes,
- 57:01Speaker 1: and they kept him in the in the Hall of Fame,
- 57:03Speaker 1: but they just put an asterix next to his name.
- 57:06Speaker 1: He didn't make it to the halls, but in the
- 57:08Speaker 1: record books they put an asterix next to his record,
- 57:11Speaker 1: his home run record. I don't know if they put
- 57:12Speaker 1: an asterix next to it. All I know is at
- 57:15Speaker 1: the time he was doing it, everyone was doing it.
- 57:17Speaker 1: So it's not this is this is this is where
- 57:19Speaker 1: the bullshit comes in ahead most of major League Baseball
- 57:24Speaker 1: at the time was doing steroids. Most of major League
- 57:28Speaker 1: baseball at the time. I'm not saying anything that nobody's
- 57:31Speaker 1: said before. Okay, the fact that he's penalized for doing
- 57:36Speaker 1: what everybody else was doing because he did it better.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Is that why I don't I don't get it is
- 57:43Speaker 1: a funny game to me, And again I know nothing
- 57:44Speaker 1: about it, but it seems like they're always trying to
- 57:47Speaker 1: catch cheating. Like there's this new thing I read on
- 57:49Speaker 1: the news where the pitchers are just like flagrantly putting
- 57:52Speaker 1: shit on the ball. Yeah. Yeah, And so now they've
- 57:55Speaker 1: made a rule where like the umpires. The umpires are
- 57:57Speaker 1: now going to like more closely inspect their hats and
- 58:00Speaker 1: their shirts. And and my brother, who's obsessed with baseball,
- 58:04Speaker 1: was telling me like, yeah, they will. They will do
- 58:06Speaker 1: anything they can to sneak a little gunk on the
- 58:09Speaker 1: ball to fuck it up and make it do weird shit.
- 58:12Speaker 1: And I'm like, that's where this game is so much
- 58:15Speaker 1: secret cheating in it, dude. Absolutely. You ever watch a
- 58:18Speaker 1: pitcher and they, you know, grab the tip of their
- 58:20Speaker 1: hate or they licked their finger, or they rub their
- 58:24Speaker 1: hair or whatever it is. Man, this is these are
- 58:26Speaker 1: ways to get an advantage. Because what about the guys
- 58:29Speaker 1: who were putting where are they putting cork in their
- 58:31Speaker 1: bat or something that was a long time ago. Yeah,
- 58:33Speaker 1: so it was lighter and they could bring the bat
- 58:35Speaker 1: around fast. All the problem is the bat breaks when
- 58:37Speaker 1: it's not solid and then you see there's cork inside. Yeah,
- 58:41Speaker 1: that's so funny. Did you replay baseball? When I was
- 58:44Speaker 1: a kid, I played a lot of pal baseball. One
- 58:46Speaker 1: year I got MBP of my PA L team, me
- 58:49Speaker 1: and my brother al Police Athletic League in New York City.
- 58:53Speaker 1: One year, me and my brother we were the home
- 58:58Speaker 1: run hitters on our team, that's all We hit home runs.
- 59:01Speaker 1: And I remember we made it to the championship, and
- 59:02Speaker 1: I think we're playing like another team from New York.
- 59:06Speaker 1: We played a bunch of teams, but we get to
- 59:07Speaker 1: There was one year we were really good and they
- 59:09Speaker 1: jerked us. Man, they freaking bought out a machine out
- 59:12Speaker 1: of nowhere, and and we had never so funny. I
- 59:15Speaker 1: never heard of all the sports you love, you don't
- 59:17Speaker 1: talk about baseball, munch. It's boring, man, It's boring to
- 59:20Speaker 1: play and is boring to watch. No disrespect to all
- 59:22Speaker 1: my major leaguers out there, but that shit. You know,
- 59:25Speaker 1: unless you're up, or unless the ball comes to you,
- 59:28Speaker 1: or unless you're pitching or catching, it's a lot of
- 59:32Speaker 1: waiting and watching. My father, my father rest in peace.
- 59:35Speaker 1: He loved watching the Mets, I mean love him. He
- 59:39Speaker 1: would scream, he would scream at them, and he would
- 59:41Speaker 1: be so mad, and he was just say to me, Zach,
- 59:45Speaker 1: if there's one thing in life that's certain, the Mets
- 59:48Speaker 1: will always let you down. I don't know if that's true, Dude.
- 59:53Speaker 1: They've won you, They've won two. I never seen him
- 59:56Speaker 1: happier than in nineteen eighty six, But I mean I remember,
- 59:59Speaker 1: like remember that being like one of the happiest times
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: of his life. Yeah, there are no Joel just reported.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: There are no asterisks in baseball stats. So he's in
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: the record books. But most people consider him a cheater
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: and don't count his wins. They can just consider a
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: lot of people cheaters. And if that's the case, you know,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I wonder like, no disrespect to and no disrespect to
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: all these major League Baseball players out there that that
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: did steroids, because I you know, I know you, I
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: know why you did it, to keep up with everybody
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: else who was doing it. But it's just like Lance Armstrong,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: like he how many interviews did that guy say I'm
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: not doing anything. I'm not doing anything. I'm not doing anything,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and then it all came out that that was all
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: fucking lie. Well that's different. He was the only one
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: doing this shit though, No, his whole team was. No,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: everybody is exact. So then so then there it is.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: If everybody's doing it, you can't fault Lance for doing it,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: then can you. All you could say is, dude, when
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: you were in those interviews, when you went in those
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: vin views, so people ask you you lied that's all
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: you could really say. I mean, what's that old thing consistent?
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you do it?
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: You do it? No? No, no, no, no you ump No.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Jumping off a bridge is killing yourself. These guys are
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: trying to win money, dude, they're playing for money. If
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: you said to me, we're all jumping off a bridge
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: for a billion dollars, I'd be like, all right, I'll
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: give it a shot. There's that great documentary, um, what
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: was it called? About a billion dollars? Watch this documentary.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: I saw an eCos documentary. He's a dickhead. I saw
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: a ship. I saw. But I'm telling our listeners to
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: watch it because it's fascinating. It's one of those documentaries
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: where it starts out being about one thing and then
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: the guy totally discovers something else. I love those kind
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: of documentaries. And it's about it's about cycling and doping
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: and everything. Yes, all of this drug use and all
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: of these these things that people do are destructive to
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: their bodies over time. For these small windows of creating
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: like greatness and sports is not worth it to just
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: a human life. And that's the angle we need to
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: change because everybody's like, why not just do it? Then?
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: If everybody's doping, everybody should do it. We're telling people
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: to kill themselves faster through sport for our entertain and
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I'm saying it's your call. Look, that's what you just said.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I'm saying it's your call. For a billion dollars, I
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: can understand why you did it for a million. For
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: that money, I understand why you did it. Dude. I
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: saw this meme that was like, let's just let all
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: these Olympic athletes take whatever drugs they want. Let's see
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: how fast somebody can find Let's see what goes. Let's
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: get there. You want to see. You want to see
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: what's happening. You want to see the real deal. Holy Field.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: You want to see what enhancements we can have. We're
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: talking about wanting to meet bionic people. Let's go all
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: the way to add and you get there. Speaking of drugs,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I have to tell you that now that marijuana is
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: legal in Manhattan, you really don't smell anything. But we
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: just it's just it's like I passed a woman in
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Union Square Park pulling a bong. Hit Yes, Freedom, Donald
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: was there? Water? Was there? Water in the bar? Yeah?
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: She was just in the know the park, pulling the
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: bong here. I love it. It's hilarious, but you cannot
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: it's just the constance. I'm sure maybe you'll die down
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: when the novelty is over. But I've been here a
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: few days and all you smell outside is weed. So
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: I'm on a group chat with all my friends from
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: back home, and all of them when this thing dropped,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: We're all like, dude, this is the best day ever,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: all of them so excited to smoke weed. People just
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: falling house street like cigarettes. It's hilarious. Yeah. Yeah, that's
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: New York. Baby. We're smoking blunts before blunts everywhere. Um,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I know, I bet you white owls and freaking uh
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and uh Philly blunts and Swiss or sweets have never
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: been more on the come up as far as stocks
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: go than they have in this fast few months since
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: New York, where it's it's really funny and and yeah, anyway,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: you'll see when you come here, you're gonna come visit me,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: aren't you. Yeah, I hope, So I hope to bring
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: the kids to New York this year. Come on, my dude,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: it's tough. There's a lot of us man I know,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you got to pay to fly a lot of those kids,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: and open numbers are going right now. It's like, yeah, well,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: the only thing I can rationalize for you is that
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: La County is particularly horrible. You can get the fuck
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: out of there. Well, it's not particular. It's not the
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: worst in the nation. How about that? No, I know,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: but it's pretty bad, right, aren't they going back to
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: mass inside there? They started that on Monday today. All right,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: let's talk about that big epic end crane shot. This
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: was really cool to do. Everyone we know I like
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: to play with cranes, and you've got Sam's bands singing
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: on the roof. And the idea was because it because
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: we were had the luxury of being in a real
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: hospital that we could crane down and see the end
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: of each story from the outside. Um. It was an
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: enormous crane. It was calling the Keela Crane, I believe,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: And it wasn't even high enough. So they had to
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: build a construction, built a platform, um, and then we
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: put the crane base on top of the platform because
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: in order to reach Sam and the band on top
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: of the roof, it wasn't even high enough at like
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: whatever it was one hundred feet and that's why the
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: end shot is a high shot of you walking out
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: into the street and everything like right and not it
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: doesn't come down. Well, no, it does come down, But
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: then I wanted to go back up at the end
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: of the rainbow in this right, Okay, got it, But
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: that would be I always like when it's a crane
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: shot and it turns into a winner, like you mean
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: they come off and it comes into a steadicam shot. Yeah,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: sh yeah, yeah, yea yeah. I love that. There used
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: to be a thing where like you would dangle a
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: steadicam operator off the end of a crane and it's
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: so dangerous, but they would literally you can see videos
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: of it on YouTube. They would like take a crane
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: up in the air, right, and then the guy would
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: be rigged, rigged, attached to the end, and then the
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: crane would come down and then just seamlessly, they'd unhook
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: the dude and he'd start walking and uh, it's crazy.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: But now with all the advent of of of these
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: new rigs that are just you know, gimbals and their
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: remote heads that you can hold, so now they do it.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: So that's on the crane. The crane comes down and
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: they unhook that it's not a human being crazy. Um,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: thank goodness for that. But anyway, um, yeah, and you'll
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: see Jack looking at the crane because of course he's
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: a child and he's curious about the giant crane outside
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: the window. But I thought that was really cool shot
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: and I, um, yeah, that was so sweet. Sam's band singing. Um,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: that's a Hawaiian Um singers rendition of that. His name
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: is Izzy. Yeah, I forgot it. I don't know how
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: to say his last name. I don't know if you
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: guys do, but it's like yes, and that that his
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: rendition is one of the most I mean, I mean,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: you can't. You can't hate on it. He goes into
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: wonderful World and somewhere over the Rainbow and the same song. Dude,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: well that's our show? Is there a caller? Joel? Yes? Well,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: why don't we take a break and um and come
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: back with empty bladders? I'm talking about We'll be right
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: back and we're back. I'm on the Kelly and Ryan
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Show tomorrow. Oh yay. I mean, I don't know if
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: it airs tomorrow. I'm taping it tomorrow. Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: but soon we'll see on Kelly and Ryan. Yeah, that's
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: a big shit, that's dope. Put your doing on Kelly
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: and Ryan. Bro Well, my movie I think is getting
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: pushed again because I'm so frustrated. But um, I was
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: booked to do it to promote Comeback Trail, my movie
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: with Bobby d um and I think it's getting pushed
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: again just because everyone's jockeying for for weekend Space. Um,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: because it has a theatrical release, Um so so. But
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: then um, then the movie got pushed. So I'm gonna
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: talk about that. I'm obviously gonna plug our amazing podcast,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: and um what else am I going to talk about
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: the Emma nomination. I'm about to say, you got a
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: nice little chance at a statue my life partner, Donald Phaison,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: No I win that. If I win that, I'm going
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: to dedicate it to you. I'm not going to do you. No,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: I will just sob on the floor. Look at him, go,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: I got you got so many other people to think
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: if you I'm a happy wit and Donald Phaison, you
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: know it's funny. My whole life, your whole life. If
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: you're in the arts, you can't deny that you thought
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: about giving some great Award speech and and I was
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: laughing at myself the other night because I was like,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: what if I did win, what would I say? And
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: I was like, wait, this is the first time in
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: my life where I can actually think about this, because
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: when I want a Grammy, there was no thought in
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: my mind I was ever gonna win that Grammar. I
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: was up against Tarantino and I didn't. I wasn't. I
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: didn't even think about what I would say, would you?
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I don't remember. It was a blur, I think I was.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I can't even believe this. I think I was buzzed
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: because Carrie Brothers and I were at the bar, like
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: we weren't even. This wasn't even It wasn't you know,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: it wasn't part of the section they don't put on
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: the show. It was you know, there's Grammys all day long.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: It's like best Samba hip Hop Album, you know, like
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: there's Sazilian categories and M and I carry where that.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I were there and we got not drunk, but we
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: were buzzed. And then I won and I was like,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: I just beat Tarantino, like I have nothing prepared to say,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: and uh, I don't know, but this time I at
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: least thought like I should probably like in case I
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: wouldn't think of something to say. I think so too.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Speaking of samba hip hop albums, Dude, let me tell
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: you something right now. That bad Bunny got me going. Dude,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: and I only understand one word he says, I only
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: understand one word he said, one phrase, He says, cool phenomenon.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: That's my favorite line I've ever heard in my life.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: Cool phenomenon. He did that ship is fired. Dude. There's
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: a show that I recommend that you'll like coomenon. I
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: think it's called This is Pop? Is that it? Joella? Yeah? Netflix?
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: The new documentary Oh my god, Donald, I have not,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: but I've heard it. For T Pain he went into
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: a four year depression because Usher told him that he
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: ruined music with the with the with the what do
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: you call it? The vocal box? Everybody, everybody kind of
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: distant freaking jay z distim. He told all of the
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: rapper particulus, get back to rapping. You T pain in
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: too much? It's so good, So rude. Everybody doesn't. Now
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: everybody does. When you watch this documentary, which Donald, you
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: really should watch, you'll love it. The first episode is
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: about boys to man, and I didn't realize how quick
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: their downfall was once all the white boy bands came out.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: So dude, that's that was for every body though. And
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: the crazy thing is that a lot of people don't
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: give props to the people that brought them, like some people,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: like the one person that I feel like deserves all
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: the props in the world. When it comes to all
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: these girls that are out right now from when I
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: was a kid, from when I was from like ninety six,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I think Brandy, Dude, Brandy fucking every song you hear
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: right now is an incarnation of what she's what she
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: did back in the day. It's crazy. You know who
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: else is like that? And nobody brought his record He
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: was before his time. Craig David another one, Dude, everybody,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: everybody was doing his music ten years later, doing his
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: style ten years later. It's just it's really interesting. It's
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: just I'm just saying it's really interesting. A lot of
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: people watching documentary the first the first episode is about
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: how Boys to Men became so huge and they were
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: killing it, and then then they started to figure out, like, whoa,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: what if we just made them like pretty white boys
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: who could sing, like would that be bigger, and then
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: it was and then those guys, like those guys lost
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: everything and like they're playing the Vegas now it goes over,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: it goes over and over again with everything. New addition
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: was the dopest boy band in the world. To me,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: what they do? They came out with new Kids Are
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: on the Block? Yeah, yeah, uh, Jodicee and freaking Boys
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: to Men. What a dopest They came out with ninety
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: eight degrees and freaking Backstreet Boys and then Sync in
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Oldtown and freaking the rest of the boy band. Yeah.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: The only one that's interviewed, by the way, is Nick Lache,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: which which is great. He's very he's very sweetened in
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: and but but and he he's very menchy in it.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: But that's like you guys couldn't get anybody else that
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: can do this. Besides, they don't interview any other boy
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: band members. They don't want to admit to that. And
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: then at least Boys to Men is like they're there
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: one there, one member is ostracized. They don't talk to him.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: They had a falling out. So in the AGA show,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: it's only three of them, three of them. The base
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I thought he got I thought he was injured. I
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: thought that was the reason. You know, there's like they
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: they're kind of cryptic about it, but they don't they
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: don't like him, No, Mom, it's like Bobby Brown and
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: New Edition. Y'all don't know about that shit. Y'all don't
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: know why Johnny Gil joined new Addition. Y'all don't know that.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Y'all don't know. I do because and then wrap by
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: little is that what you put on the call me down?
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: And the wrap by little oli you get when you
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: get too worked up. I do the slug the cloudcase
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: because automatically I'll be like, I'm sicking tired of this
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: and wrap little over all. Right, let's bring in the collar. Please, guys,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: we got a call. You can talk some you know,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: like a bot maybe talking about the episode. So come on,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: give it up for Jared. Come on. It has been
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: a dream of none to hear the Oprah voice say
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: my name. Oh well, it just happened, Yared, it happened.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: It's been it's been a dream of mine for Oprah
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: to say my name too. Jared's probably it's probably been
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: a dream of yours to be on the show. And
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: here's some of these pad sounds like you honor me, you'll,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: you honor me? Yes, right, absolutely, Jared. You're our very
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: first guest since I moved to New York, and the
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: show has a has a lively feeling. This is the
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: hundredth episode of Scrubs. Oh wow, I am honored to
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: be on the hundred episode. That's you honor me, you'll.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: You're not on a hundredth episode of the podcast. You're
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: on the hundredth episode of Scrubs. Yes, which was the
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Wizard of Oz episode, as you recall, that's the one
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: we're talking about today. And you have an eagle shirt on,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: which looks very dapper on you eagle. I'm riding. I'm
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: riding Donald where you call going from it? I'm calling
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: from Indianapolis, Indiana, Indiana, Ira. Come. Do you know anything
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: about Indianapolis? Don't go went back to Indiana? Yeah, Jackson five. Okay,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: I was there once. I don't really. I was in Nap.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: I've been in Nap before. They got sweet dunes there. Yea. Yeah,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: they're like little sand sand hills, but they're big. We're
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: not mountainous. But Indianapolis. What is Indianapolis known for other
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: than the five hundred um, pretty much. Now, okay, the
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Jackson five okay, and the Jackson five they're they're from
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Northeast Indiana, Gary Indiana, Gary Indiana, Gary Indiana, Gary Indiana, Gary, Indiana.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Let me say it once again. What's that from? It's
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: from the music Man Donalds. So there you go. Indiana
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: is known for the music Man too. Well, that's that's Gary,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: not Indianapolis. Indiana is uh in a lot of songs.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Who are you waiting? I'm sorry? That was my boss
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: leaving the office? Jared's first day at a new job.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: Oh really, it is my first day a new job. Yes,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: what's the job. What's the job? I'm an accountant at
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: a luxury apartment developer. Okay, do you like the job
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: thus far? Um? Yeah, today was mostly just you know,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: training stuff. But I've worked in the industry before, so um, yeah,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna like it. Um was Did you
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: meet the asshole yet? There's always an asshole? Um? Not yet?
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Does that mean I'm the asshole? No? No, I can
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: tell you're not an asshole. But there's gonna be a
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: day this week where you where you're gonna think of
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: me and you're gonna go oh, Zach's right, it's it's
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: jam right. Or why'd you go? Jan from the office?
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Why did you go Jan from the office. I don't know.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: I don't know what the first name that came into
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: my head Jan from the office that automatically makes you
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: say from the Jan. Who thinks I'm stealing her fucking
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: oatmeal out of the fridge. I don't want your fucking oatmeal, Jan.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Somebody probably just toss it in the trash. Yeah, calm down, Um,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: all right, So do you have a question for us,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Jarge Coke? Jan? Yeah, calm the fuck down. Jan, I'm
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: not flushing tampons in the toilet, Jared, what are you
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: supposed to do? If you're not supposed to flush feminine
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: products down the toilet, what are you supposed to do?
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: That's not my area of expertise, Joel. You throw them
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: in the trash, trash, you gotta wrap them up. But
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: about feminine products, Okay, but I see all the time,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: all the time, I see do not flush your feminine products,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: And I'm going, Okay, what are these women doing with them?
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: I know they're going in the garbage, but do you
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: wrap it around a bunch of times? That's the polite
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: way to do it. That is, that is if you
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: have etiquette, dreaming at all, that is what you do. Now,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: there's such a problem women are women do not flush
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: these things. Everyone's trying to tell you. It's become such
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a pro Oh god, he's gonna get Casey to talk
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: about this. But at least we're gonna get to hear
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: her song, which is amazing. Why did you call me
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: and here I'm I'm excited to meet the whole day.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: Well did you call Casey just because you want to
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: hear her theme song? No? I didn't call Casey, Okay,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: I thought you No, no, no, no, no no no.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: You don't need to hear from Casey about how she
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: throws away her tampons. But I just think that this
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: is clearly a big problem in this country because everyone
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: has to label their toilet. Why are you making that face, Daniel? What?
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: It just surprises me that this is a mystery. I'm
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: just it surprises me that they have to put up
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: so much signage to continually tell women please don't flush
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: him there and I'm here doing a public service announcement
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: for earth. Casey, Hi, Casey, Casey, come down here. Don't
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: these schools do. Tell me what these kids and that's what. Um,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: it's an embarrassing reason that Donald has called you in shocking.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: We want to talk about why, um, how to properly
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: get rid of a tampon because, by Casey, I'm sorry,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: come down here, dools, don't tell me what to do. Jared,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: you haven't heard that yet? That that's our new Casey
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: theme song that has an air yet what she's gonna think?
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: I'm the reason why this question is No. Yeah, Casey
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: has not with Jared. Not Jared. Okay, Jared, are you
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: trying to learn how to take it out of someone? Casey?
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Jared accidentally put a tampon in his butt and he
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: doesn't know how to get it out? All right? No, Casey, listen,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: I'm really asking because I'm in New York City and
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: every public toilet or every restaurant toilet has a sign
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: begging people please do not flush your tampons. And I'm
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: finally asking, as a man who knows nothing about this,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: why are so many women doing this? And what's the
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: correct way? You wrap it up in toilet paper and
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: then put it in the garbage. Yes, that's what you're
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: supposed to do. But sometimes people are lazy, and I'll
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: be honest, touching those little the trash can in the
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: bathroom is it's the kind where you have to push
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: it to open. Yeah, and who wants to touch that
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: after you know, everybody's bloody tampon has gone in there,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: right right, so you got to you know what, I
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: wrap it up. This is so gross. I wrap it
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: up and then I use my foot and I kicked
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: the door open, and then I throw it in there.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: It's if I miss, I miss. You don't pick it
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: up round. No, I'll pick it up sometimes. All right,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Well get it, ladies, you're hearing it. That would make
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: the women's bathroom dirty. It in the men's bathroom, of course,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I pick it up's bathrooms bathroom so gross. Why can't
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: men piss in a yurnal? Why does it piss everywhere?
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Exactly a fair questions. It doesn't even have to be
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: a yurnal. Come look at one of my bathrooms in
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: my house, do you know if you know, We don't
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: know if we talked about this before, but in the
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: in urinals these days, they put a little target for
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: men because if there's a little something to aim at,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: sometimes it's a fly pretend fly or something. But if
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: they give men a little something aim at, then they're
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: they're they're less likely to splatter. I mean, maybe they
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: need to put a vagina on it. Oh shit, here's
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: my wife. Y'all. You will miss Bell every time, Jared,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry, how to hear this? Good thing? You're not
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: broadcasting that whole office on your first day. No, I'm
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: in the conference room. Luckily, there's a restaurant called Craigs
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: in LA and they did something I've never seen before.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: When you're standing at the urinal, you're on a great
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: already as you're standing there, and so any spillage or
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: splatter goes into the grate down into a drain. That's great. Okay,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: that's This is what I don't understand because this has
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: happened to me several times. Now, What the fuck happens
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: on an airplane that people just lose all etiquettes and
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: decide to freaking destroy the airplane bathroom? Can you answer that, Jared?
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Yeah you got Jared Campbell? Can you answer that question?
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: You have to pope, let your poo out before you
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: get on the plane. Yard the plane is not How
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: does Jared know everything about all this. He's just he's
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: a specialist in this area. We brought him on because
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: he's a specialist in public urination and poop. Jared, I'm sorry, Jared,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: I'm all right. We gotta get back on you. I'll
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: tell you about the bathroom airplane. It's because no one
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: wants to touch anything, so they're all trying to pee
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: and pounding like all on the back of the thing
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: because they're not sitting. The people explode, fly try and
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: get you out, horrible aim. That's the second public service
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: before you take the plane mine. Okay, sorry, Jared, sorry
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: to hear that. Woo tank forever, all right, ever, tank
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: forever forever, ever, Go ahead, Jared. So my question is
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: mostly for you, zach Um. I'm out. That'd be funny.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: He's like, why do women just kidding? Ahead? No, I
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: do have a question for him. You made him pout
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: do or do not? There is no try. What are
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: the challenges of directing something that maybe has heavy cgi
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: or a lot of editing? Um, when there's so much
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: unseen for the actors? Well, um, that's a very good question.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: I haven't done a ton of it. I've only done
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: some of it. I haven't done a CGI affect things.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: So Donald I did a whole I did a whole
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: movie that was all CGI except for the actors in
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: the apartment building we were in that not a lot
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: of people saw. It was called Skyline, and and it's
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: if you've got a great imagination, it's a lot of
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: fun and easy to do. If you don't have a
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: great imagination, I imagine it's very difficult. And you know,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: it really does. It really does bring you back to
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: the most base element of when you're a child and
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: you're just pretending and you get on something and go
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: it's I just thought two kids playing in the park
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: and they were like literally sitting on the railing and
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: one kid goes, no, I'm in the front seat, and
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: in their minds they were on a motorcycle or a
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: car or whatever. It really just brings you back to
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: that just pure imagination and of a director going that
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: is a volcano that's erupting and you're looking at and
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: you're literally looking at a piece of tape um and
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: you just have to really sell it and and and
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: and go for it and really destroy yourself out there
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: because there's you're not looking at anything. Occasionally they'll show
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: you drawings or previous they can say like this is
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: what it's the spirit, Like this drawing is like the
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: spirit of what that thing is going to look like
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: or that monster is gonna look like or whatever it is. Um,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: so you can at least have a thought in your
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: mind of of of of what it is. A lot
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: of times, unless it's a CGI movie, it's not stuff
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: you need to worry about. It could be like you're
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: in a moving car, who cares what's happening on the street.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: But um, you know it is challenging. I'm sure when
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: it's you know, Donald did that Skyline movie with monsters,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: and you certainly weren't looking at any monsters. No, there was.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: We were looking at like when you know they used
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: to to uh uh abduct humans, and I remember we
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: had no idea what they were going to look like. Um,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: they showed us at the audition what one thing would
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: look like, and when we were shooting it, I had
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: no clue. You know, I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Making that movie it was a lot of fun, but
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: it was because we literally had no idea what it
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: was going to look like when it was done. And
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: so me, I personally I think that's Uh. I think
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: as far as uh special effects go, I love the movie. Um,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: I think everybody should go out there and watch it.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Skyline shout out to you boy, Donald Faizon. But uh,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: for for for the for the most part, it's uh,
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: it's it's when it's done well, it's all worth it.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: When it's not done well at the end, you're like, man,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: what what was I doing? But I mean, just for example,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: we just all saw Black Widow and I was just
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: blown away by how seamless it all looked. And yeah,
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of times you watch movies
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: and you're like, Okay, I'm going along for the ride.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: That doesn't look anything close to real, but I'm I'm
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: in the world the movie and I'm enjoying it. And um,
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: I thought that that that looked really fucking incredible. Yeah.
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: It's when you can do when you can get away
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: with stuff and it looks simple and easy, that's when
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: the CG is amazing, you know what I mean. Like,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: I wouldn't have considered Black Widow a CG movie, but
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: after watching it like four or five times, now you've
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: watched it four or five times. Yeah, there's so much
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: there's so much CG in that movie. Oh yeah, and
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: your kids love it. Uh, they've not really watched it.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: They've watched some of it. They're like, there goes they go,
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: there goes Flow. They love seeing flow, but you can
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: they can see it. Just skipped the beginning part where
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: they go, how come flow doesn't have an Italian accent anymore?
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: And black Widow? Why did she have any? Oh? Because
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: they can for an Italian accident. That's all right, Jared.
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: What's your next question? Um? Well I wasn't ask Joel,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: do we want to tell the story? Um, you can
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: tell the story. Tell the story then, yeah, ok. Yeah.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: The reason she reached out to me was, Um, I
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: actually pulled the um soup shower prank in college. Wow,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: so you evil, evil man, dude, I am work. It
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: didn't work. It did work, Um, not as well as
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: in the show. But um, so we have Afraternian college,
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: we have a what was the fraternity? Which one was it?
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: Um Fi Delta theta Okay Neil Armstrong, Um, Burt Reynolds.
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: I actually lived in Neil Armstrong's room at Purdue University.
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: That's cool, cool, that's very cool. But it was the
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: third floor. UM had a communal shower that only one
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: person would use at a time. UM, but it was
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: like six shower heads in a square room. How do
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: you how do you how do you delineate? Like there's
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: six shower heads, but we don't feel comfortable being naked,
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: So I'm gonna shower alone. No one come in. If
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: he heard the shower running, you just okay. Yeah. So
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: I put the view on cubes on all sticks shower
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: heads and just waited for somebody to go in and
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: kind of waited in a room across the hall, and
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: I just kind of hear him turn on one at
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: a time, and he's like, what the hell is going on?
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: Smells like chicken in here, and you know, I kind
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: of just waited for him to turn one on, then
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: off and move on to the next one. By the
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: end of it, he just kind of said, screw it.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I guess I'm showering and water that smells like chicken.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: And then he just comes out across the hall after
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: he's done, and he's like, I think there's something wrong
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: with our showers, with our water, and I'm trying to
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: keep it together. But I eventually told him, you know
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: what I did and where it came from and he
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: got a good laugh out of it. Let me ask
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: you a question, did you get you got this from
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: watching Scrubs? Then? Yes, of course I didn't get my
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: who's just crazy response that I was talking for. Did
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: he come up to you and say it burn from?
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: I don't think he really cared too much, but yeah,
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: he's like, oh that's that's great, good job. Yeah, Scrubs.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: Can you take the fucking bully on cues out of
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: the shower? Now? Like turned into a paste afterwards. So
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: I pretty much just had to let the showers run
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: for like two hours? Are you wasting all my water? Yeah? Man,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: doesn't sound. I'm glad you tried, and I'm sorry. I'm
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: sorry to you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry we failed you. Yeah,
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: that's okay, it was worth it all right, Jared, It
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: is time for Indianapolis's favorite segment. It's time for It's
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: time little oh me, It's time to fix ye? Lie dad?
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: How can we rescue you from whatever ails you? Well?
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: I don't have anything super specific, um, but I did
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: just get married two months ago. Congratulations, Thank you. Just
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: kind of entering into a new realm of my relationship
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: and I just wanted to get your advice on that. Okay,
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: Donald m has been married before um, and he's a specialist.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: He's the only married one here. Although Daniel could soon
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: be falling. You gotta stop saying that. Why I'm talking
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: about why not when you because you're putting a lot
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: of pressure on me. Well, she doesn't listen to the show.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: That does not stop the Internet from them being like, so,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: what's good Daniel? Yeah, what's good? Guys if you listen
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: to it, if you watch his twitch stream, be like Daniel,
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: when do you propose participates in the twitch stream? Perfect?
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: Even better? Better? Better, like Daniel, if you propose now,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: I'll drop a Hondy on this. Yeah, that's what you do.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: Anybody out there who got real dough. Yeah, get on
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: that twitch with DJ Daniel. Yeah, and make it rain
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: and make it rain. If he proposes in front of you,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: when I say make it rain, make it rain, baby,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: make it rain. Yeah, it'll make it rain. With twenties,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: bring out them. Hondy's all right, sorry, Jared, Donald, give
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: him advice. You've been through this marriage thing. I have
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: no advice you. I don't know what the question is,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: he said. He wants to. He just got married, and
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: he tips on being a newly married man. Enjoy that. Shit. Man,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: you're in the fun stage right now. It's been a
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: couple of weeks, a couple of months, you said, yeah,
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: two months. Yeah, you guys are probably having a lot
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: of sex, aren't you. Yes. Well, well, my parents are
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: gonna listen to this, probably later. But you're petty, you're
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: a grown ass man. You married Doc. Still just a
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: little bit of a embarrassment. But you don't have to
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: answer that, Donald, but I can. I think it's safe
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: to say if the newly wents, there is copulation. Right,
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: So that being said, enjoy that because in a few
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: years it ain't gonna be every day. That's all I'm saying. Okay,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: anything other than sex, you'd like to advise him on talk? Oh?
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: I thought that's what he was asking about. What about
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: the expression holly wife, happy life. Oh, that's true. All
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: of it's true. Every little anecdote you heard or cliche
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: you've heard is most likely true when it comes to marriage.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: It's the hardest thing you'll ever do. It's the most
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: fun you'll ever have. But I don't know, I don't know,
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: I don't know what the advice would would be. You're
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: newly married. You guys are in a great state right now.
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: Try and keep it fresh the whole time until you die,
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: as long as you can. Say I far be it
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: from me to give advice because I'm not married, but
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: I think, don't be afraid to work on it while
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: it's good. You know, I have a stepmother who's a
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: marriage counselor you've heard me say, my parents are psychologists,
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: and of course I have a therapist, and they all
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: say like, don't be afraid, and they encourage people now
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: while it's good, work on communication skills. And you know,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: if if someone you know who has a great relationship
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: book and how to keep it getting the love you
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: want is one my therapist, I know he always pitched
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: to people. But so that's what I've heard a lot
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: is like, don't wait until like shit goes off the
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: rails and you're like, now we need therapy, Like work
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: on it actively in the beginning, so that you have
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: a tool set like when shit does come up that
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: you can fight in a kind way if you will,
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: you have a way of communicating that's that's not mean,
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: and it does not as hurtful as it needs to be,
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: and because obviously disagreements are going to come up. It's
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: just like a normal relationship you've been in that wasn't marriage,
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: but now you've committed to each other for life. So
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: I would really encourage you to develop skill sets that
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: for communication that that don't make it everything become a
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: ten alarmed fire. You know, Daniel, you're in our successful relationship.
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: You don't get married. Can you give them any advice?
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: I echo that sentiment entirely. Make sure that you work
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: on everything. Don't let anything hang over your head, don't
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: let anything stew. Intrusive thoughts are pure really that they're
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: not real, they're just in your head. Just talk to
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: your partner about everything. Yeah, and be vulnerable. You know.
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: I think a lot of men are like, oh, I
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: don't want to seem insecure or I don't want to
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: seem weak. You know. I think it's really really good
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: to just be like, hey, this thing is bothering me
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: and I'm in my head about it, and can we
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: just talk about it. I think that that's very smart. Jared, Jared,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: you get one good cry, then after that and then
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: after that, Yeah, that's did you get one good funny
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: he's trying to be funny, and then after that it's unnecessary.
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: So I'm just saying, right now, save that cry for
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: when you really need. It's like, no, this is like
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: the devil on one side and the angel on the other.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: He's like, you can only manipulate your wife with one
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: good cry. Now, I'm saying after that, after that, after that,
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: I just want to animate, baby. I just want to
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: animate in the garage. Baby. Please just let me animate
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: in the garage with rebels on in the background. Please.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: All right, Jared, I hope we help you getting the
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: love you want. That's the book I would think you
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: should you should get because I've heard that that's good. Yeah.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: I think that's good for talking it out and uh
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: and communication, anything you can do to communicate better and
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: be honest. I think it's great. Well you can stay
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: see Yeah, Honestly, honesty is truly key, you know what
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: I mean. Obviously, how long are you guys? How long
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: are you guys dating before you got married? Um, we've
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: been together. There'll be five years in a couple of months. Um,
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: but we're supposed to be married last July and then
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: COVID cod um So you guys been together for five years,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: so you guys know each other very very well, so
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: there shouldn't be too many surprises at this point. You
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: know we actually, I mean we lived together for two
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: years plus. Now you already did it the right way.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: But you already did it the right way because you
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: know for a fact this is the person you want
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: to be with. You know what, you got a new job, Jared, thing,
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: this is a good this is a good time for
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: you to play. It's a good time to be Jared. Yeah. Um,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: so be present and grateful and uh and happy that
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: things are going so well because I am happy for you.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: And you can stay on because we finished the show.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: This was the hundredth episode of Scrubs. Yes, Jared, can
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: I give a quick shout out? Yes? No, you may not. No, no,
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: let him Okay, shout whoever you want to shout out.
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: I need to shout out my lifelong best friend. He
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: was the best man of my wedding, Mike McBride. He's
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: the one that got me the shirt as a wedding present.
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: He also big Mike should have showed you this earlier.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: I Bahamas episodes. Shout out Mike McBride. Mike. He is
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: in Germany right now. I'm studying abroad. Um, I wish
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: you could be here next to me on this podcast
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: because him and I, you know, watched Scrubs for forever together.
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: And yeah, he's gonna be really jealous when he sees
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: me on here. Oh well, I'm glad you're on, and
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: I'm glad Mike's uh gave you all those good Scrubs toys,
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: really nice gifts. I think if for getting one other
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: person that you need to shout out, Jared, I'm just
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: gonna shout out my wife. Yeah, she's actually a nurse.
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: So uh, I guess Scrubs maybe led me to marry
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: somebody in the medical field. You found her on Carlo,
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: You found Carlo. She's very much like Carla too. Oh
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: she'll bust anybody's chops for sure. Good. Um, well, Jared,
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: thank you for coming on, and thank you for the
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: kind words, and thank you all for listening. Joelle, is
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: there anything you want to say? You are great? Uh?
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: Are you asking about marriage and relationships that I'm giving you?

- 1:39:34Speaker 1: since you're since your gal doesn't listen to the podcast,
