- 0:07Speaker 1: Yo, it's your girl, Jessica and Smith, and you already
- 0:10Speaker 1: know that you've entered the safe space for influencers to decompress,
- 0:14Speaker 1: have fun and just ask God for another Do you
- 0:18Speaker 1: already know what it is? And then you know it's
- 0:20Speaker 1: about the get real, So be.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Sure to show your girl the love and like, come
- 0:26Speaker 2: in and subscrae God for another day.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Hey, hey, I know we could be another way.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a new weekend. Just as a podcast.
- 0:39Speaker 4: The safe space where transparency meets transformation is your girl,
- 0:43Speaker 4: Jessica and Smith and I do nothing without my girl.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Does a right, that's all right? Does a rate?
- 0:49Speaker 1: There's a rate? Does a rate? There's a rate? DELI rate?
- 0:51Speaker 5: I like that.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:52Speaker 4: She's back here, back on the other side of the camera,
- 0:55Speaker 4: and she doesn't have a mic today because we are
- 0:58Speaker 4: here live at podcast Summon. We just wrapped up well,
- 1:02Speaker 4: I just wrapped up my sessions and listen, the guests
- 1:04Speaker 4: that we have today we've been waiting on. We had
- 1:07Speaker 4: to go ahead and get this one done. While she
- 1:08Speaker 4: was here in the a with us. She just wrapped
- 1:10Speaker 4: up hers. Listen, this a I think has been coming
- 1:15Speaker 4: up and I'm excited to talk about it because the
- 1:18Speaker 4: believers are upset, they angry, they they some of them
- 1:22Speaker 4: appreciate it, some of them don't.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I just we're gonna talk about it today. Okay.
- 1:27Speaker 4: So I had to bring the expert, the brilliance, the brilliant, magnificent,
- 1:33Speaker 4: my sister, none other than Cynthia Respered.
- 1:39Speaker 5: I love that the fact we got to write that down.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Listen, you're getting you paying me by helping me understand
- 1:46Speaker 4: what this a stuff.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Is, how you're doing this. I am amazing. I'm amazing
- 1:50Speaker 5: live here podcast.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Listen. You you've spoken every year I have. How has
- 1:55Speaker 1: that been? Have you have you seen yourself developed?
- 1:58Speaker 5: I love the progression one of the event itself, but
- 2:03Speaker 5: then it's a growth journey, right. I remember the first
- 2:06Speaker 5: year I was going, you know, and I speak before,
- 2:10Speaker 5: I've spoken before, I speak in other spaces, but I
- 2:12Speaker 5: think it was different here. And AI was just coming out.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Yeah when I say that room was thirsty, like just
- 2:19Speaker 5: soaking up all the knowledge. So and it was just
- 2:23Speaker 5: right when I was getting into it. So that was good.
- 2:25Speaker 5: And just to see the progression from now from then
- 2:29Speaker 5: to now. Today we talked about something different because we
- 2:32Speaker 5: had a few sessions and my heart is always for
- 2:35Speaker 5: people to get it and be able to do something
- 2:38Speaker 5: with you and not feel overwhelmed. So today we let
- 2:42Speaker 5: the information breathe a little bit. Look like, yeah, so
- 2:46Speaker 5: when I say that, I mean I'm not gonna give
- 2:49Speaker 5: you a whole nother ten other tools to learn. I'm
- 2:51Speaker 5: not gonna give you another fifteen strategies. But let's let
- 2:55Speaker 5: the information breathing. We're gonna do an action plan today.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Let's execute everything that you have learned, these notes, these
- 3:02Speaker 5: screenshots you've taken. I got five thousand screenshots and you
- 3:05Speaker 5: know your right, right, So I'm like, take these screenshots,
- 3:09Speaker 5: take the notes, take pictures of your notes, put them
- 3:11Speaker 5: into this AI whatever one that you choose, and let's
- 3:15Speaker 5: get an action plan based on your goals. What are
- 3:17Speaker 5: you What are you gonna do before the barbecue or
- 3:20Speaker 5: after the barbecue? You know? And you forget your motivation
- 3:24Speaker 5: that you had yet. So we made action plans and
- 3:26Speaker 5: just made room. We threw on some lo fi music
- 3:28Speaker 5: after I talked a little bit and allowed them to execute.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Is that how you Is that the problem that you've
- 3:34Speaker 4: identified over the years since you specifically speaking about podcasting, right,
- 3:39Speaker 4: because I know you speak on other other platforms, but
- 3:42Speaker 4: speaking about podcasting specifically, is that the problem that you
- 3:46Speaker 4: see a lot is that we were trying to execute
- 3:49Speaker 4: on so much, especially with AI, because you got claud
- 3:52Speaker 4: you got open AI, you got closed, you got you
- 3:55Speaker 4: got around.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Sometimes I don't even want to open my laptop. I'm like, well,
- 3:58Speaker 5: who didn't did what? And release what I would the
- 4:01Speaker 5: better experts you wake up you and you're a beginner
- 4:03Speaker 5: again because you just it's moving so quickly, so much.
- 4:06Speaker 5: So I talked about this in there. The president of
- 4:09Speaker 5: Anthropic said, hey, we should slow down on this AI.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Develop it like everybody. We're not gonna stop it, but
- 4:16Speaker 5: we should slow down because these agents and this this
- 4:20Speaker 5: AI is moving faster than our ability to govern it,
- 4:25Speaker 5: our ability to harness it to keep it in line.
- 4:28Speaker 5: But with the self skin, it's self improving. So yeah,
- 4:34Speaker 5: the faith area is a whole different.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Subject because I'm asking, Yeah, I'm asking today because I
- 4:40Speaker 1: keep seeing that the dialogue right.
- 4:45Speaker 4: And so I got a shout out to my homegirl,
- 4:47Speaker 4: Joy Pittman. She wrote a eloquent post the other day
- 4:52Speaker 4: and it was basically talking about basically saints demonizing the
- 4:57Speaker 4: the ability to below on the execution of your business right,
- 5:04Speaker 4: or the execution of anything right.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And so she was basically saying.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Hey, this is at one point the internet was wrong
- 5:10Speaker 4: and next point the cell phone was.
- 5:12Speaker 1: All these things wrong. It's like you're not getting with
- 5:15Speaker 1: the program because you're mad somebody's using a tool to execute,
- 5:19Speaker 1: but you don't even have anything to execute with. And
- 5:22Speaker 1: so it's just interesting to see this doubt. What do
- 5:25Speaker 1: you think is the biggest frustration there in the misconception?
- 5:28Speaker 5: You know, oftentimes we're afraid of what we don't know,
- 5:32Speaker 5: and nobody I don't care who they are. The president
- 5:36Speaker 5: of the Open AI, nobody knows. He knows more than
- 5:39Speaker 5: we do. But nobody knows the full potential, which is
- 5:42Speaker 5: why the CEO said, hold on, everybody, slow down, everybody
- 5:45Speaker 5: sit down for a second. Does open our launch boxes
- 5:48Speaker 5: and talk about this because it's accelerating so quickly. We
- 5:52Speaker 5: haven't seen anything like it. But when you don't know something,
- 5:55Speaker 5: it is the fear of the unknown, like, oh, if
- 5:57Speaker 5: it did that, then what what else is it capable of?
- 6:01Speaker 5: Then you hear of some real stories, like real incidents
- 6:05Speaker 5: of teenagers committing suicide, and it's number one use being
- 6:09Speaker 5: for therapy. So if it's self improving, then who's governing
- 6:13Speaker 5: that and can be unleashed on the people. I've also
- 6:15Speaker 5: heard you know this is the market to beast and
- 6:18Speaker 5: this is how the anti crisis come and come through.
- 6:22Speaker 5: And I don't have any deep domain knowledge. I'm gonna
- 6:25Speaker 5: be prayer for on anything I do right now. What
- 6:27Speaker 5: I do know is nobody is mad that the airplane
- 6:31Speaker 5: was invented. Nobody's mad that the milkman don't have to
- 6:34Speaker 5: come to the door no more. Nobody is mad that
- 6:36Speaker 5: you don't get your mail delivered by horses. Right, So
- 6:39Speaker 5: we every revolution has displaced that skillment of the day.
- 6:44Speaker 5: But this is exponential where it's displacing people at a
- 6:47Speaker 5: large rate and then it will create. But it's a
- 6:51Speaker 5: process like we all figuring this out. Anybody say they
- 6:53Speaker 5: a ten times expert, You know more than most, but
- 6:58Speaker 5: nobody knows the full picture. Those that are well versed
- 7:02Speaker 5: in the space, they're warning like y'all have no idea
- 7:06Speaker 5: what's coming, right, So there is some caution there, But
- 7:09Speaker 5: you writing your blog posts with chad GPT is not
- 7:13Speaker 5: gonna kill the world, right, so you need to learn
- 7:15Speaker 5: how to use it.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Yeah, because it's really I truly believe it's not going anywhere.
- 7:21Speaker 5: It's not. I can't unsee it, Like who's going back
- 7:24Speaker 5: to no no AI?
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 4: But also, so let me ask you this, how do
- 7:28Speaker 4: you remain integral with the use of AI, because I
- 7:31Speaker 4: think that's also a concern, Like, okay, my faith. You know,
- 7:34Speaker 4: people talk about faith, but also the integrity of usage
- 7:38Speaker 4: of the AI. How do you teach that and lead
- 7:41Speaker 4: into that? So what do you mean by integrity? I
- 7:43Speaker 4: was chouing you with that.
- 7:44Speaker 1: So my I guess, I guess.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Okay, So this is gonna be real dramatic, but I've
- 7:51Speaker 4: heard I've heard people say this. So there are some
- 7:54Speaker 4: people that said that they know people they have taken
- 7:58Speaker 4: a full sermon since what I'm saying, Jersey full sermons
- 8:02Speaker 4: on AI and all that good stuff. So I think
- 8:05Speaker 4: that that's That's probably not the only example, but that's
- 8:09Speaker 4: the first example I could think of. Like, what would
- 8:11Speaker 4: you consider I guess I'll throw that question back and
- 8:14Speaker 4: you like, what would you consider integral practice of the
- 8:18Speaker 4: use of AI?
- 8:19Speaker 5: Sure, so we talked about that too. You know, how
- 8:21Speaker 5: you have Child Protective Services CPS. I say, I have
- 8:24Speaker 5: copy payste services like you know, you just copy paste that.
- 8:28Speaker 5: So we talked about that in a session. Is you
- 8:30Speaker 5: take something and you just copy it and you paste
- 8:33Speaker 5: it and get the result. No engagement, no understanding, no
- 8:39Speaker 5: sauce from you, no critical thinking. Then that is how
- 8:43Speaker 5: we get AI slops what they call it. That's how
- 8:46Speaker 5: we get all these chat GBT flyers looking the same.
- 8:48Speaker 5: You know, one guy, he said, we're in a chat
- 8:51Speaker 5: GPT flyer, epident, pandemic. Everything look at the same. But
- 8:56Speaker 5: it's nothing wrong with using it as a template. But
- 8:59Speaker 5: then put your sauce on it. And I said this
- 9:02Speaker 5: in there, it's not your setup for your podcast. Like
- 9:05Speaker 5: all of that, all those things being equal, it's really
- 9:08Speaker 5: how you show up. The thing that makes this podcast
- 9:10Speaker 5: amazing is you in her right, the energy you bring,
- 9:16Speaker 5: how you phrase it, how you welcome your guess, how
- 9:19Speaker 5: you operate an excellence, your energy, your passion for things,
- 9:23Speaker 5: your curiosity. So I would challenge when you're talking about
- 9:29Speaker 5: a pastor using a sermon, I mean using AI for
- 9:31Speaker 5: a sermon, is what if he was using it as
- 9:34Speaker 5: a study tool. So I used to study by looking
- 9:38Speaker 5: up the you know, the lexicon, and I look up
- 9:41Speaker 5: the you know, do the research different Bibles, different versions. Okay,
- 9:45Speaker 5: so now I can do that with technology. The goal
- 9:49Speaker 5: is to still do the studying. It just accelerates that, right,
- 9:53Speaker 5: So I would say I wouldn't warrant against using it,
- 9:58Speaker 5: but as a you know, that's a sacred space. It's
- 10:01Speaker 5: it's a holy place. But the way you study, I
- 10:05Speaker 5: think it should amplify that, the way you hear from God.
- 10:08Speaker 5: And don't use AI for that, right, don't say you
- 10:11Speaker 5: got it from the Lord and chat gy bet you
- 10:12Speaker 5: got to you know, would you like me to put
- 10:14Speaker 5: this in bullet points? There was something funny this lady.
- 10:17Speaker 5: She was doing a prayer and she got her from
- 10:20Speaker 5: chat This is when it first came out. And at
- 10:23Speaker 5: the end of the prayer, she said, in Jesus name, amen,
- 10:26Speaker 5: if you would like me to do another version? Where
- 10:30Speaker 5: is this at? If you would like to do another
- 10:36Speaker 5: version of a shorter verse. It was something like that,
- 10:38Speaker 5: she said it. She's reading the prayer and you know
- 10:41Speaker 5: it was in one of them formal settings, so she
- 10:43Speaker 5: was reading the prayer. Yeah, so listen, it's it's I'm sorry,
- 10:50Speaker 5: I need to see that video, but it's shown up
- 10:52Speaker 5: in court like that's the thing when people copy paste
- 10:55Speaker 5: without interjecting. Okay, what is this doing? Because what we're
- 10:59Speaker 5: also preparing for, and I didn't say this up there
- 11:01Speaker 5: is I believe we're going to a prompt list society,
- 11:03Speaker 5: Like we're doing all this prompting and stuff, we're going
- 11:06Speaker 5: to be speaking natural language, right, So what we're doing
- 11:09Speaker 5: right now is practicing how do I ask the right questions?
- 11:13Speaker 5: How do I get the right output? How do I
- 11:15Speaker 5: frame this right? Because if you're not asking the right questions,
- 11:18Speaker 5: you're gonna get some garbage back. And you're like, I
- 11:20Speaker 5: didn't even you know, because when I first started using
- 11:22Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, my husband was right, Like I wasn't
- 11:24Speaker 5: clear about that. You know what I'm saying, Because you
- 11:26Speaker 5: don't give it chat GIBT will will pull from billions
- 11:30Speaker 5: of data points, right, so you'd be like, oh, I
- 11:32Speaker 5: wasn't clear about that. I didn't set the room. So
- 11:35Speaker 5: it's a learning tool. But just like a tool, and
- 11:38Speaker 5: I say it's a teammate, But just like a gun
- 11:41Speaker 5: or money in the wrong hands, it's a problem. Yes,
- 11:44Speaker 5: AI in the wrong hands, it's a problem. The problem
- 11:46Speaker 5: is bullets could do something to this lobby. AI is
- 11:53Speaker 5: exponentially can reach global proportions. So that's that's that. So
- 11:58Speaker 5: from an integrity standpoint, you have to use it to
- 12:01Speaker 5: learn and not you know, be transparent, not use it
- 12:05Speaker 5: as a crutch and present it as if it's.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Your own work.
- 12:09Speaker 4: I want to lean into something that you're talking about
- 12:10Speaker 4: because I wanted to talk talk about this asking the
- 12:13Speaker 4: right questions right, especially with me being a podcast I
- 12:18Speaker 4: think the example that you even use what you're saying,
- 12:21Speaker 4: oh my gosh, I didn't My husband said, I wasn't
- 12:24Speaker 4: asking that right.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I think one thing.
- 12:27Speaker 4: I've learned personally with AI is like slowing down enough
- 12:32Speaker 4: to think about the right language, right. So when I'm
- 12:35Speaker 4: getting the feedback, it's like, oh I could have thought
- 12:37Speaker 4: of that differently, or this is another way I can
- 12:40Speaker 4: present as a manner. And so I think that we
- 12:44Speaker 4: struggle with asking the right questions. So if I'm starting,
- 12:46Speaker 4: let's stop, let's use podcasting an example, because you're really
- 12:49Speaker 4: good at that. When I'm starting, let's say I'm doing
- 12:52Speaker 4: the episode, we're gonna give them practical tools to use.
- 12:56Speaker 4: I'm doing the episode. How would you suggest me being
- 12:59Speaker 4: able to use the benefits of AI to maximize my
- 13:03Speaker 4: potential of the episode. Well, do you pre plan questions
- 13:11Speaker 4: for the Yeah, I pre plan the goal of the conversation.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I will the goal of the conversation.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Good because I learned something even from Dave session the
- 13:19Speaker 5: art of the interview. You weren't in there, so, but
- 13:21Speaker 5: he was talking about pre planned versus prefraank questions are
- 13:24Speaker 5: the safety net your curiosity should lead and I from
- 13:27Speaker 5: what I've seen organically, that's what you you know, that's
- 13:29Speaker 5: what you do too. Getting back to your question, reframe
- 13:34Speaker 5: it for me, Oh, how can you maximize this? So
- 13:37Speaker 5: I would in terms of again using it as a
- 13:40Speaker 5: teammate for it to do your help with your preparation.
- 13:45Speaker 5: How do you prepare for a guest to know like
- 13:47Speaker 5: you know me when we're in the same spaces, But
- 13:49Speaker 5: how do you prepare for a guest? Use AI to
- 13:52Speaker 5: accelerate that, Like you can have an agent that does
- 13:56Speaker 5: that automatically, like set up a workflow and an ecosystem.
- 13:59Speaker 5: This is the guess. Okay, pull that information, deliver it
- 14:02Speaker 5: to my inbox at six a m. The Monday before
- 14:06Speaker 5: the Friday taping or whatever that or the week before,
- 14:09Speaker 5: and have that as your virtual teammate. Or digital teammate
- 14:13Speaker 5: that gets that information for you. So you can't prepare
- 14:16Speaker 5: from If you do questions, then have it to prepare
- 14:21Speaker 5: some questions. But I always say human in the loop,
- 14:25Speaker 5: like never just copy paste, because two thousand times out
- 14:28Speaker 5: of ten, good old Chat, good old Claudi. Whoever you're
- 14:33Speaker 5: using is going to have another level. Yeah, so I'll say, so, hey,
- 14:40Speaker 5: what are we missing with opportunities? Oh, if this was
- 14:43Speaker 5: my presentation, I would I'd be like, bruh, why didn't
- 14:46Speaker 5: you start there? Why didn't you give me your best
- 14:48Speaker 5: from the gate first?
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yes?
- 14:50Speaker 5: Correct, So, so always challenge it, put human in the loop,
- 14:54Speaker 5: and you know, use it for you. This is what
- 14:56Speaker 5: I say. If you want to be a pro n
- 14:58Speaker 5: AI relatively, you take the problem or the pain point,
- 15:02Speaker 5: you rewire it, and you optimize it with AI. Don't
- 15:07Speaker 5: start with a tool like let me start with the tool,
- 15:09Speaker 5: because you'll go down that rabbit hole. You still have
- 15:11Speaker 5: the problem. So you're trying to solve a problem of
- 15:14Speaker 5: preparing for your interview. So how do I prepare for
- 15:18Speaker 5: my guests? Do I do questions? Do I need an
- 15:22Speaker 5: agent to do all of the email workflow, et cetera?
- 15:25Speaker 5: So take so take the problem that you have and
- 15:31Speaker 5: then you apply it there. So that's how I would
- 15:34Speaker 5: maximize it.
- 15:35Speaker 4: You know what I just heard you say, out of everything,
- 15:37Speaker 4: what know your problem? Yes, I think that the opportunity
- 15:42Speaker 4: for not just even podcasters, but just in general, people
- 15:46Speaker 4: don't really know their problem and that's also why they're
- 15:49Speaker 4: not asking the right question. And so I can only
- 15:52Speaker 4: ask what I understand to what I understand degree I understand. Sure,
- 15:57Speaker 4: So if I don't understand my problem is ADMIN or
- 15:59Speaker 4: my problems is being more effective in my emails or
- 16:03Speaker 4: being more effective in my language with my interviewing, then
- 16:06Speaker 4: I don't know how to use the tool of AI
- 16:09Speaker 4: as an assistant.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And so I think that people are trying to lean.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Towards AI being the actual thing versus IT being the
- 16:17Speaker 4: tool that assist them. So I'm glad you said that,
- 16:19Speaker 4: but I really want to get into like sinse I
- 16:23Speaker 4: call a scent, y'all, I call it big sent.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You.
- 16:28Speaker 4: You are such an a phenomenal woman and getting to
- 16:32Speaker 4: know you has been a pleasure. I didn't I must
- 16:37Speaker 4: be transparent in this moment, like I was surprised that
- 16:39Speaker 4: you saw me.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it was.
- 16:43Speaker 4: So when y'all was like, hey, when we were the
- 16:46Speaker 4: morning meet up, he was like, hey, we want you
- 16:47Speaker 4: to do this.
- 16:48Speaker 6: I don't say nothing. You see you, I said, this
- 16:56Speaker 6: lady is a seer. I don't I don't know what
- 16:58Speaker 6: she's talking about.
- 16:59Speaker 1: She's scared.
- 17:02Speaker 5: The podcast it was, Yes, that was in your fear
- 17:04Speaker 5: of starting it.
- 17:06Speaker 1: It was. And I'm I'm amazed at at your ability
- 17:11Speaker 1: to get to see and so how did how did
- 17:13Speaker 1: it before ai C? What was what was she doing?
- 17:17Speaker 5: Like?
- 17:18Speaker 4: What was life like for you before the ai C,
- 17:21Speaker 4: because maybe you're being flewed out.
- 17:24Speaker 5: I travel a little bit, a little bit, so my
- 17:28Speaker 5: background is operations, systems and logistics, and I've always had
- 17:33Speaker 5: a love for processes like oh, and I started off
- 17:37Speaker 5: in the automotive industry, so I've always loved like, ooh, let's
- 17:40Speaker 5: make things more efficient, always chasing efficiency rabbit. But I
- 17:44Speaker 5: was also an environment where it had to go together.
- 17:47Speaker 5: So if for a motor company, if a line went down,
- 17:50Speaker 5: because I was in supply chain, there was hundreds of
- 17:53Speaker 5: thousands of dollars a minute, you had labor, you had this,
- 17:55Speaker 5: you had you could shut down an engine plant. So
- 17:57Speaker 5: it was a high stakes environment. So that's where things
- 18:00Speaker 5: had to go together. At the same time, I was
- 18:03Speaker 5: volunteering in children's ministry, did that for twenty five years,
- 18:07Speaker 5: various levels. So that brought in the crea creative part
- 18:11Speaker 5: of me, where let's be fishing, but how do we
- 18:14Speaker 5: do a big how do we do a colorful So
- 18:16Speaker 5: I sit at the intersection of that. So that's why
- 18:19Speaker 5: you'll see like the cookout, let's do this, let's bring
- 18:22Speaker 5: in it, you know, the the book club, let's bring
- 18:24Speaker 5: in yes, let's do you know, just my ability to
- 18:27Speaker 5: see that, so I said at that intersection and so
- 18:30Speaker 5: much so it's a funny story. It was resurrection Sunday
- 18:33Speaker 5: Easter House, you know, some people say, And it was
- 18:37Speaker 5: on TV and there was this egg drop, all these
- 18:40Speaker 5: eggs on the grass, but it wasn't that many kids.
- 18:44Speaker 5: And I said, oh, they did a helicopter thing. And
- 18:46Speaker 5: I said, mm, so they're gonna need a process to
- 18:48Speaker 5: pick them eggs up. And my husband was like, can
- 18:52Speaker 5: you just.
- 18:53Speaker 1: You stop thinking. I'm just saying.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I'm just saying, it's more eggs people. They don't need
- 18:58Speaker 5: to one of them top golf figure, you know what
- 18:59Speaker 5: I This is how I think I'm a process thinker.
- 19:02Speaker 5: So that's where I lived, you know, prior to that.
- 19:05Speaker 5: So I was in corporate America for fifteen years. Then
- 19:08Speaker 5: we got married, I was in entrepreneurship and I did
- 19:11Speaker 5: operations basically some of some of what I've done for
- 19:13Speaker 5: the morning to meet up, but corporations. So I have
- 19:16Speaker 5: a long standing partner that you know that has connected
- 19:20Speaker 5: me with large corporations, and I run those projects at
- 19:23Speaker 5: and T Cadillac, UH Detroit Pistons. Like we've done a
- 19:27Speaker 5: lot of work for a long time, JP, Brunt and Chase,
- 19:31Speaker 5: and my love for operations and efficiency and creativity has
- 19:36Speaker 5: just fused that way. So when AI came out, it
- 19:39Speaker 5: was like, oh, you can ten x what you're doing,
- 19:41Speaker 5: get a hundred x.
- 19:42Speaker 1: You can you already there?
- 19:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm like, let's do let's do it. So it's
- 19:45Speaker 5: like a natural trajectory.
- 19:46Speaker 4: So what So that's why AI wasn't necessarily overwhelming for
- 19:49Speaker 4: you because you were AI.
- 19:51Speaker 5: Oh yeah that's right, shout out you.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Lily's the worst AI doing it.
- 19:58Speaker 4: But no, when one of the things you say, what
- 20:00Speaker 4: did you just say, and I need to repeat it
- 20:02Speaker 4: is that you chased efficiency.
- 20:05Speaker 5: I did.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Efficiency is your love language. Yes, okay, it's.
- 20:10Speaker 5: One of them.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Because yeah, so I wonder, I wonder what the burnout
- 20:14Speaker 4: looks like.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Oh girl, oh yeah, you want to tell me, you
- 20:17Speaker 5: want me to let you let's talk about let's talk about
- 20:20Speaker 5: this burnout. So various seasons in life, but I remember
- 20:24Speaker 5: distinctly one day. So I was in graduate school, working
- 20:29Speaker 5: full time leading a volunteer team in children's ministry and
- 20:37Speaker 5: entrepreneurship side hustle type projects. So I was doing all
- 20:40Speaker 5: these things full load too. Why do we have to
- 20:43Speaker 5: do a full load, Cynthia, I don't know. That's not
- 20:45Speaker 5: because I want to get done faster, right, So all
- 20:47Speaker 5: of those things going on, and I remember it was
- 20:49Speaker 5: a vacation Bible school is what they call it VBS,
- 20:52Speaker 5: and I was coming out of the house and I
- 20:56Speaker 5: did not know, like I was tired. So I had
- 20:58Speaker 5: to be there at seven am the next day, and
- 21:01Speaker 5: I was tired, and it's light outside, so I'm like,
- 21:05Speaker 5: I'm late. It's seven pm, right, I said, I'm late.
- 21:09Speaker 5: So I'm getting dressed. My shoe broke on the way
- 21:14Speaker 5: down the steps. I'm getting in the car, I'm rushing,
- 21:16Speaker 5: and I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm late. Let me
- 21:18Speaker 5: run and it's only like ten minutes from my house.
- 21:20Speaker 5: So I start riding and I see a young man
- 21:24Speaker 5: who's on the team and he lives in the area
- 21:27Speaker 5: and he's waving. I'm like, oh, man, he late too.
- 21:29Speaker 5: It didn't click yet. So then I get to the
- 21:32Speaker 5: parking lot and it's empty and I'm like, oh, everybody late,
- 21:39Speaker 5: said I said, oh, everybody late, right, it's seven pm,
- 21:43Speaker 5: not seven am, but it was still light. I did
- 21:47Speaker 5: not know what time it was, and then I got
- 21:50Speaker 5: mad at the house. I was still living on my
- 21:52Speaker 5: parents at the time. I said, y'all didn't see me
- 21:54Speaker 5: rushing around here. You didn't think to tell me it
- 21:56Speaker 5: was seven pm? She said, I didn't know where you
- 21:58Speaker 5: had to go, right, So at that point you're always
- 22:01Speaker 5: going correct, correct, correct. So that was a defining moment
- 22:08Speaker 5: for me, cause I'm like, I don't even know what
- 22:10Speaker 5: day it is, Like I need to streamline my schedule
- 22:13Speaker 5: and really hone in what does God want me to
- 22:15Speaker 5: do in this season. So I did reduce my load
- 22:17Speaker 5: at graduate school and do some things there, but I
- 22:20Speaker 5: have had multiple things cause you are so on point
- 22:23Speaker 5: with this throughout. You know, ministry can be taxing and
- 22:28Speaker 5: it can be go go, go, go, go, go, go
- 22:30Speaker 5: go go. So I have done that so much so
- 22:33Speaker 5: that I was diagnosed with uh colon cancer and there
- 22:37Speaker 5: was no symptoms. But she said that could have been
- 22:39Speaker 5: there for years, and she said it could be stressed
- 22:42Speaker 5: on the body, it could be whatever. She said, that
- 22:44Speaker 5: could have been there for eight years or so. I
- 22:46Speaker 5: was like, nothing happened on that. She said it could
- 22:47Speaker 5: have been who knows how long that's been in there.
- 22:50Speaker 5: So that was just that was another clarion call, like, girl,
- 22:54Speaker 5: pay attention to your body. Your body has a memory,
- 22:57Speaker 5: so slow down. You can't be all things to all people.
- 23:00Speaker 5: And things don't have to be perfect. You know what
- 23:02Speaker 5: I read one time? It was a book and it
- 23:06Speaker 5: said sleep is worshiped because by you thinking that you
- 23:15Speaker 5: have to stay up, that you have to be in
- 23:19Speaker 5: the midnight hour, that things will be sustained by you
- 23:24Speaker 5: staying up late and doing what you do that God
- 23:27Speaker 5: don't have it when you rest. That is worshiping God
- 23:33Speaker 5: and recognize he is who he is and He's got
- 23:36Speaker 5: this before the foundation of the world. What's your little
- 23:39Speaker 5: three more hours of no sleep gonna do for this project? Right?
- 23:44Speaker 5: So it doesn't mean that we don't plan, doesn't mean
- 23:46Speaker 5: that we don't you know, we make sure we're not procrastinating.
- 23:48Speaker 5: We do our due diligence and be a good steward.
- 23:51Speaker 5: But what you don't stand up as if God don't
- 23:53Speaker 5: have this, that's good. This is so good When you
- 24:02Speaker 5: say efficiency. It brought me back to that because I
- 24:05Speaker 5: have been that hold on everything got to be perfect
- 24:07Speaker 5: and putting extra's progress over perfection. But that's a daily
- 24:13Speaker 5: thing for me. I've gotten better, I've gotten better, but
- 24:19Speaker 5: it's a daily thing for somebody wired the way I am,
- 24:22Speaker 5: like things have to be perfect and overthinking. Dave mentioned
- 24:25Speaker 5: something one day, he was like, yeah, you know, I
- 24:27Speaker 5: started without slides so I can just talk. It was
- 24:29Speaker 5: a point where I was like, no, no, no, where's the slide.
- 24:31Speaker 5: That's my guy, right, So I've gotten better at that,
- 24:34Speaker 5: not where I want to be. But it's a process.
- 24:38Speaker 5: So being wired that way will need to burn out
- 24:40Speaker 5: if it is not governed spiritually.
- 24:43Speaker 4: I think that the main thing that helps with it though,
- 24:47Speaker 4: is other people, like doing relationship with other people that
- 24:51Speaker 4: think differently from you.
- 24:52Speaker 1: So desert rate is more systems driven, process driven, and
- 24:59Speaker 1: that overwhelmed.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Be that overwhelmed me because I'm a creative like just
- 25:05Speaker 4: I'm highly creative and highly driven.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I just want to get it done. Okay, cool, Yeah
- 25:11Speaker 1: I did it.
- 25:11Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Let's go on to the next thing. But there's a
- 25:14Speaker 1: ray she asking me if I tell her an idea,
- 25:19Speaker 1: I have to be ready.
- 25:22Speaker 5: She's sorrows high five dees right behind the camera. I
- 25:26Speaker 5: know exactly what you mean.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Stresses me out, but but what this has done, it's
- 25:32Speaker 4: made me think, take a time, take a step back
- 25:36Speaker 4: of my excitement about the thing, and say, how does
- 25:39Speaker 4: this actually work? At least give me asking myself three
- 25:42Speaker 4: to five questions, because I know she gonna give me fifty.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Yeah that's before.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Before I before I tell I was like, hey, I
- 25:48Speaker 1: just need you to listen.
- 25:51Speaker 5: And my line does Ray.
- 25:52Speaker 4: I just say, hey, I need you to listen, and
- 25:54Speaker 4: I need you to lean into what I'm saying. And
- 25:57Speaker 4: because I'm answering, because you got already gonna have some questions, right,
- 26:00Speaker 4: And so I appreciate like relationships with people like you
- 26:04Speaker 4: because I know that I don't have to do this alone.
- 26:06Speaker 4: And it overwhelms me to think about setting up systems
- 26:09Speaker 4: or processes even.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Though I know I need them.
- 26:12Speaker 4: You brought up cancer, and I remember, I'm glad you
- 26:15Speaker 4: brought that up because I wanted to.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I wanted to bring it up, but I don't know,
- 26:18Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 26:18Speaker 5: Drive through it. By the grace of God. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:22Speaker 5: so that's you.
- 26:24Speaker 1: You overcome that right already. So what time period was that?
- 26:30Speaker 1: Twenty nineteen?
- 26:31Speaker 5: So the funny thing is I went we were moving
- 26:35Speaker 5: and I had something going on my throat, so we moved.
- 26:38Speaker 5: So I had to go to a different doctor, and
- 26:40Speaker 5: I just googled them based on Google reviews. Shout out
- 26:42Speaker 5: to Google reviews have to do so it in and
- 26:45Speaker 5: it and the Holy Spirit, let me tell you, because
- 26:49Speaker 5: the reason I picked him was for the reviews. But
- 26:52Speaker 5: only God could have led me to him, because he
- 26:55Speaker 5: asked me questions that he did not have to ask
- 26:57Speaker 5: me and I did not have to say yeah, right.
- 27:00Speaker 5: So I was going for my throat. He said, I
- 27:04Speaker 5: need to do all the tests again. He did that,
- 27:06Speaker 5: and he said, your throat is fine, but we found this,
- 27:09Speaker 5: and that's how it was discovered. I was going in
- 27:12Speaker 5: for my throat and he prior to that, he asked me, hey,
- 27:16Speaker 5: you are late forties, do you want to do a
- 27:19Speaker 5: colonoscope as a preventative. Yeah, so he did it, but
- 27:23Speaker 5: that's what they found. So had he not asked me,
- 27:26Speaker 5: had I not said yes, had I not went to him,
- 27:29Speaker 5: maybe I would not have discovered it. Right, So that's
- 27:33Speaker 5: why I just just praise God for just the whole process.
- 27:36Speaker 5: Your medical team is so important. So yeah, walk through
- 27:38Speaker 5: that journey, whole research process for months, family saying just
- 27:43Speaker 5: make a decision. Me saying this my body. You know,
- 27:47Speaker 5: me paying five hundred dollars just to talk to you
- 27:50Speaker 5: for fifteen minutes and prescribe something on Amazon. Shout out
- 27:54Speaker 5: to the doctors. I don't want to diminish that was expence.
- 27:59Speaker 1: That's real in the moment.
- 28:01Speaker 5: Doctors are necessary, Holistic doctors are necessary. So there's no
- 28:04Speaker 5: shape whatsoever. But that's how I felt like, I'm expending
- 28:08Speaker 5: expenses and I'm not getting the answers and I'm not
- 28:11Speaker 5: settled in here. What do I do? And everybody's different.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Colleague of mine, brother from another mother, he was also
- 28:17Speaker 5: going through a journey and he decided to go plant based.
- 28:20Speaker 5: I can't compare my journey to his, Like we had
- 28:22Speaker 5: two different things going on. So I finally decided to
- 28:26Speaker 5: do the process and we went to Duke. I call
- 28:31Speaker 5: it Duke Celebration Center. I changed the name, they call
- 28:34Speaker 5: it Duke Cancer Center. And walked through the journey there.
- 28:36Speaker 5: It was six months. I wanted to quit halfway through.
- 28:40Speaker 1: It was like in tits of chemo or something.
- 28:42Speaker 5: It was chemo, but I was doing shout out to
- 28:44Speaker 5: Cheryl from IVY Yeah vibe, yes, good since Cheryl, but
- 28:50Speaker 5: I was I didn't know her then, but I was
- 28:52Speaker 5: doing you know, other IV treatments like to fortify my journey.
- 28:56Speaker 5: I was trying to drink my water, trying to walk
- 28:59Speaker 5: and do things like that. And I never stopped working.
- 29:02Speaker 5: I never My life wasn't interrupted in the way. I
- 29:05Speaker 5: had these declarations. And it was about family, it was
- 29:09Speaker 5: about finances. It was our marriage won't lack, our finances
- 29:13Speaker 5: won't lack. We will be a source of joy and
- 29:15Speaker 5: hope for other people. So when I walked in that place,
- 29:18Speaker 5: I would say, hey, how you doing. I'm doing amazing,
- 29:21Speaker 5: even if I don't feel that way, although you know,
- 29:25Speaker 5: sometimes I did, sometimes I didn't, but I would always
- 29:27Speaker 5: say amazing. And we changed that that floor in that
- 29:31Speaker 5: unit in terms for the better and brought joy there.
- 29:34Speaker 5: But yeah, that was that was the journey. I don't
- 29:36Speaker 5: want to make light of it whatsoever. But I thrived
- 29:40Speaker 5: through about the grace scop.
- 29:41Speaker 1: So but by this point you were an entrepreneur, yes,
- 29:45Speaker 1: So how did that help or it helped tremendously.
- 29:49Speaker 5: It helped tremendously because I had the flexibility, right But
- 29:53Speaker 5: I never stopped working and I didn't want to. I
- 29:55Speaker 5: didn't want this to debilitate me, you know. So yeah, yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 5: I was an entrepreneur. I had the flexibility. The teams
- 30:03Speaker 5: like you would never even know use going through it.
- 30:06Speaker 5: You know, they knew because were you a solopreneur or
- 30:09Speaker 5: do you have people that assist you At the time,
- 30:12Speaker 5: I was solopreneur, but I have a contract that I
- 30:16Speaker 5: worked with, right, so, and we've had some projects going
- 30:19Speaker 5: like we had a whole yeah, COVID came out, so
- 30:24Speaker 5: we had a whole project going on in the city
- 30:26Speaker 5: of Detroit with one hundred small business during the pandemic.
- 30:28Speaker 5: It was.
- 30:29Speaker 1: It was a whole lot going on.
- 30:30Speaker 5: So so yeah, I just didn't let it stop me.
- 30:34Speaker 5: There are times I wanted to quit. You go home
- 30:37Speaker 5: with medicine. Can't take a shower for the weekend. You
- 30:42Speaker 5: gotta wait for them to come take the thing off.
- 30:44Speaker 5: Your perspiration smells like chemicals.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 30:48Speaker 5: So I'm not advising anybody go one way or the other.
- 30:51Speaker 5: That's what I did. But I remember that stuff, right,
- 30:55Speaker 5: So it puts in perspective like what's important? Yeah, and
- 30:59Speaker 5: I don't always remember. Sometimes you need a good old
- 31:02Speaker 5: kicking the butt to be like, girl, please, you stressing
- 31:04Speaker 5: over this? You went through all that again? Why are
- 31:06Speaker 5: you tripping?
- 31:06Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 31:06Speaker 4: So so yeah, No, I think it's important to understand.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Like the people talk about the struggles with entrepreneurship, I
- 31:17Speaker 4: would say blessings too. They talk about being able to
- 31:20Speaker 4: own your time, but I think owning your time comes.
- 31:23Speaker 4: It's so important in moments like that. Like my daddy,
- 31:26Speaker 4: for example. I don't know if you know this or not,
- 31:28Speaker 4: but he's he's had cancer twice. He's only second round.
- 31:33Speaker 4: I mean he had Hoskins disease. Okay, at first got
- 31:37Speaker 4: cured of that, and then about four years ago, right
- 31:40Speaker 4: after I started my podcast, he got diagnosed with this reform.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Don't ask me to say what it is because I don't. Okay,
- 31:48Speaker 4: it's crazy. Yeah, however, and it took this process. It's
- 31:56Speaker 4: been long. It has been long.
- 31:58Speaker 1: We didn't have multiple serve in juries. We've had.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Uh different forms of chemo. Right, this more recent form
- 32:08Speaker 4: of chemo has been helping more, it seems like it.
- 32:12Speaker 4: And so it's been a four year journey. And I
- 32:15Speaker 4: can only imagine if he had to go to work.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Oh ah, don't all don't do that. That's wait wait,
- 32:25Speaker 1: I wasn't ready for them. But I can only imagine
- 32:28Speaker 1: if he had to go to work.
- 32:30Speaker 5: Mm hmmm. I don't know, mm hmm.
- 32:39Speaker 1: But that's the blessing that entrepreneur ship.
- 32:44Speaker 4: A lots of people that deal with diseases and well
- 32:49Speaker 4: their families just to know that they're okay. So I'm
- 32:52Speaker 4: glad you survived that. And I'm also glad that you
- 32:54Speaker 4: had time to create.
- 32:55Speaker 1: For you to do that, I didn't expect it.
- 33:00Speaker 5: It is okay, okay, listen to your daddy's girl all
- 33:08Speaker 5: through and through.
- 33:11Speaker 1: That's right, that's right. He's still here. So that's a
- 33:16Speaker 1: black is and I thank God for every day. What
- 33:20Speaker 1: the synth do you want for cent hmm.
- 33:24Speaker 5: Hhmm. I'm gonna give you the off the dome answer. First,
- 33:30Speaker 5: then I give you a herd answer. I want to
- 33:33Speaker 5: travel the world and be a secret philanthropist, to fund
- 33:42Speaker 5: people's business ideas and women own businesses and be anonymous,
- 33:49Speaker 5: how the possible. I want to listen. I always go home. Listen.
- 33:54Speaker 5: I go home and tell my I go home and
- 33:55Speaker 5: tell my husband all time. We need to be a
- 33:57Speaker 5: millionaire by tuesday, I said, by to He said about
- 34:02Speaker 5: by tuesday. Okay, I just have these big dreams. I've
- 34:06Speaker 5: always been a giver, always been a server, and I
- 34:10Speaker 5: just have to Like I would buy somebody's wedding dress
- 34:14Speaker 5: and be like, go pay off the balance and not
- 34:17Speaker 5: because when I was younger, I was making money money
- 34:21Speaker 5: and I was living at home, Like when I was
- 34:23Speaker 5: super young, I was like, oh and my friends didn't
- 34:25Speaker 5: necessarily all of them didn't have that ability. So I
- 34:30Speaker 5: was let me go pay off the wedding dress and
- 34:32Speaker 5: she don't know or you know. I've always been wired
- 34:34Speaker 5: that way. So I would love to have that in abundance.
- 34:38Speaker 5: But I don't need credit, you know. So that's that's
- 34:40Speaker 5: that's that's what I mean by that. That's what I
- 34:43Speaker 5: mean by that. And travel the world. I got to travel,
- 34:46Speaker 5: bug I travel before, but now I'm I'm like, we
- 34:49Speaker 5: do how do we do this for real? Like all
- 34:51Speaker 5: the tack, you know, for for the things that I
- 34:55Speaker 5: want right, not just tired from working, but travel for leisure,
- 35:00Speaker 5: in philanthropy, and it's a whole new world out there.
- 35:04Speaker 5: That's a that's a story for another day, but there's
- 35:06Speaker 5: a there's a world out there that facilitates that legally,
- 35:11Speaker 5: by the way, so let me let me be clear,
- 35:15Speaker 5: let me clear on the just ass podcast, but just
- 35:18Speaker 5: abundance and opportunities me. I don't think i've what youre doing.
- 35:28Speaker 5: I think I ever said that, but definitely not on
- 35:31Speaker 5: a podcast.
- 35:32Speaker 1: So the.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Health journey interrupted our uh family journey. So my husband
- 35:42Speaker 5: and I we mentor children of you for years, even
- 35:46Speaker 5: before he met me, and that's probably partly why we connected.
- 35:51Speaker 5: So when people say do we have children, I said, oh,
- 35:53Speaker 5: we got thousands, you know, I said, we have thousands
- 35:56Speaker 5: of children that we've mentored and just took under our wing.
- 36:02Speaker 5: So I see, that's so funny. But I see us
- 36:09Speaker 5: adopting children, having a family because we have a huge
- 36:15Speaker 5: spiritual family, but having a family because there's so many
- 36:18Speaker 5: children out there that don't have parents don't have guidance,
- 36:25Speaker 5: don't have so I feel like, you know, there's just
- 36:27Speaker 5: the opportunity there. And I want to support women own businesses.
- 36:33Speaker 5: I'm very big about that. Like a woman got an idea,
- 36:36Speaker 5: I want to be able to fund it. That's how
- 36:39Speaker 5: the AI Builder Academy came and then AI Build Her
- 36:43Speaker 5: Fund came. So the vision was have the fund to
- 36:45Speaker 5: fund the businesses that you have ideas for. So I'm
- 36:48Speaker 5: very passionate about that as well. And just be at peace.
- 36:55Speaker 5: And I am like, I'm happy. I have goals that
- 36:58Speaker 5: I want to attain, but I'm in a place where
- 37:01Speaker 5: after you've been through things, it's like peace, that's all
- 37:05Speaker 5: I want. You can't buy. You can't buy that, right,
- 37:08Speaker 5: So when you have that, I think that's that's the
- 37:11Speaker 5: top of my list. I would love for my dad
- 37:14Speaker 5: to move down to Houston. Yeah, but yeah, I'm simple,
- 37:21Speaker 5: just happy, healthy family, healthy relationships. Uh, and just be
- 37:26Speaker 5: a secret millionaire.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I love it.
- 37:28Speaker 5: Billionaire, multimillionaire. Just to be able to fund the Gospel Fund,
- 37:33Speaker 5: business projects funded and my name don't have to be
- 37:36Speaker 5: on it. I love that. I love that.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Thank you for sharing your heart with me because you
- 37:41Speaker 4: some people don't want kids, and that's just the truth.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Some people don't want kids.
- 37:45Speaker 5: Now it's changed from babies babies like we don't we
- 37:48Speaker 5: don't want them no more. I'm too. We two down
- 37:51Speaker 5: a row for that. I used to work in the nursery,
- 37:54Speaker 5: used to run the nursery too. No, no, no, So yeah,
- 37:57Speaker 5: there's there's teenagers out there, there's middle school students out
- 38:02Speaker 5: there that that need.
- 38:03Speaker 1: But somebody that can take your legacy, like yeah, you
- 38:07Speaker 1: know that the Lord adopted us.
- 38:10Speaker 5: The fact and that was a journey too, because I said, no,
- 38:13Speaker 5: I come from my ballet. Listen, so how did you
- 38:17Speaker 5: transition from like what was that choice? Now?
- 38:20Speaker 1: Well they like girl, Well I just wondered that, Sarah,
- 38:28Speaker 1: that's the only way you go back to.
- 38:36Speaker 5: That won't healthy. Yeah, but I thought about like they
- 38:39Speaker 5: you know, and again this is my thought process, no
- 38:42Speaker 5: shade to any process. But they talked about egg donors
- 38:46Speaker 5: and I was like, yeah, people in your family can donate.
- 38:49Speaker 5: It's like, so you'll be sitting at Thanksgiving and it's
- 38:52Speaker 5: really your niece, but is your You don't understand it.
- 38:55Speaker 5: I was like, how does this thing work? So but
- 38:57Speaker 5: then in ministry we did do I will say this unlocked.
- 39:01Speaker 5: It is we had a foster care Uh. It wasn't
- 39:06Speaker 5: a ministry. It was a mission type thing where people
- 39:08Speaker 5: bring them in and educating about foster care. And then
- 39:11Speaker 5: my heart really blossomed and opened up because I was like,
- 39:14Speaker 5: we could do that. You know, like there's so many
- 39:16Speaker 5: kids out there that me and then your children's ministry.
- 39:19Speaker 5: That's how people say, Gray, you look young. I was like,
- 39:21Speaker 5: it's the kid. It was the kids. Let me say,
- 39:24Speaker 5: they'll keep you on your toes.
- 39:25Speaker 1: They so heah listen saying I think we gotta do
- 39:30Speaker 1: a part two. I agree because there's so much more
- 39:34Speaker 1: in there. I think we're leaving the people hanging right now.
- 39:36Speaker 1: But we got to because I see does on her knees.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I think, I don't know what that was the signal,
- 39:46Speaker 1: but there's a ray. Do you want to come over
- 39:48Speaker 1: and give your thoughts real quick and use my mic
- 39:50Speaker 1: for it? Yes you do, because that was.
- 39:52Speaker 4: That was That was a nicer way to suggest her
- 39:54Speaker 4: to come over here. I understand, because they gonna they
- 39:56Speaker 4: gonna be like, we still need to see desert ring.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Thank you and Cynthia for.
- 40:03Speaker 5: This conversation.
- 40:04Speaker 1: The one thing I think that that came up again.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I was driving one day and I was kind of
- 40:11Speaker 1: talking to the Lord about something about I had did
- 40:15Speaker 1: a devotional for a community, and I took all of
- 40:19Speaker 1: my The way the Lord kind of deals with me
- 40:21Speaker 1: is kind of random. So I took all my things
- 40:23Speaker 1: and I organized it and I called him George. But
- 40:26Speaker 1: it's really chat to BT and so and delivered it.
- 40:31Speaker 1: You know, the people were blessed, X, Y and Z.
- 40:33Speaker 1: But then I started to feel a little guilty, you know,
- 40:37Speaker 1: because I used an AI tool to organize my thoughts.
- 40:42Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit said, okay, so, like you mentioned, people
- 40:47Speaker 1: use the Concordian, I use Google's he said. He said,
- 40:53Speaker 1: what does the carpenter use? Does a carpenter use his
- 40:56Speaker 1: hands to nail the nails? He uses his tools. That's good,
- 40:59Speaker 1: he said, as the plumber. But does a plumber used
- 41:01Speaker 1: when he got to go in the toilet when he
- 41:02Speaker 1: used his hands and toilet he using the snake. So
- 41:05Speaker 1: he just said, used the tools, use the tools. And
- 41:08Speaker 1: I think, like as we just opened our minds up
- 41:11Speaker 1: to the possibilities because there's nothing new under the sun,
- 41:15Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But I'm so grateful there's
- 41:16Speaker 1: people out there that's teaching teaching it in such a healthy,
- 41:20Speaker 1: tangible way, you know, to keep the people safe and
- 41:25Speaker 1: to be using it. I enjoyed this conversation and we
- 41:29Speaker 1: are having her back.
- 41:32Speaker 5: Thank you. I would love to be back.
- 41:34Speaker 1: I was my girl, You're my girl, absolutely saying that
- 41:38Speaker 1: none of y'all, none of the rest of you. I
- 41:40Speaker 1: can call her then my girl. She was like, what
- 41:42Speaker 1: day you call me? Said? I was like, hey, s
- 41:45Speaker 1: She was like, Jessica, you called me sick and you said,
- 41:48Speaker 1: like my mama.
- 41:51Speaker 5: She used to call me.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And I tell it like I call the fresh straight
- 42:00Speaker 1: in the crime.
- 42:02Speaker 5: Three explanation points behind se every time consistency. It's the
- 42:07Speaker 5: only consist only if you use three exclamation points always,
- 42:12Speaker 5: you always okay.
- 42:15Speaker 4: But although this is only part one of our conversations,
- 42:18Speaker 4: I don't want to leave them completely hanging.
- 42:20Speaker 1: So I know we talked about a lot of things.
- 42:22Speaker 1: I know we talked about, you know, AI.
- 42:24Speaker 4: The faith and using it as assistant, but we also
- 42:27Speaker 4: talked about the beauty of entrepreneurship.
- 42:30Speaker 1: And how that helped you on your journey with your cancer.
- 42:34Speaker 1: But you might have come up here with something on
- 42:36Speaker 1: your heart and so I want to leave the floor
- 42:38Speaker 1: to you and unless you have the find words before
- 42:40Speaker 1: we close out.
- 42:41Speaker 5: Sure, first of all, thank you for having me. I
- 42:44Speaker 5: love the ethos behind your podcast, just transparency in a
- 42:49Speaker 5: safe space. I didn't know I was going to talk
- 42:51Speaker 5: about adoption and kids and stuff like that. We haven't.
- 42:55Speaker 5: You know how things are here and you bring them here.
- 42:58Speaker 5: That's what you did. You created the environment for that.
- 43:02Speaker 5: So I would say, pursue purpose, always pursue purpose, and
- 43:07Speaker 5: keep God first. That might sound a little cliche, but
- 43:11Speaker 5: when you got boots on the ground and you're in
- 43:13Speaker 5: the middle of those valleys where you feel like you
- 43:16Speaker 5: were winning, win and winning, and now you don't know
- 43:18Speaker 5: what's going on, trust the God that kept you in
- 43:22Speaker 5: those seasons of winning, because he's still there. Yeah, I
- 43:28Speaker 5: would say that. More and more we talked about efficiency
- 43:33Speaker 5: and burnout and things like that. God is the sustainer,
- 43:37Speaker 5: so always leaning on him, and I think that's what's
- 43:40Speaker 5: kept me grounded through seasons of life scenes as of marriage.
- 43:43Speaker 5: You know, you grow and you learn God first, always
- 43:48Speaker 5: even before AI like, okay, look because we gonna need it.
- 43:53Speaker 5: Because with the self improvement thing, I don't know what's
- 43:55Speaker 5: going on, but yeah, keep God first and pursue purpose,
- 44:00Speaker 5: purpose and impact.
- 44:01Speaker 7: I love it.
- 44:02Speaker 1: I love it. Thank you so much for coming, thank
- 44:05Speaker 1: you for being you, thank you for accepting me as
- 44:07Speaker 1: your good cis the baby seas handed because I showed
- 44:10Speaker 1: be telling your line up. I'm like, but I love
- 44:15Speaker 1: you dearly, and I can't we can't wait to have
- 44:17Speaker 1: you again. You actually have a standing invitation, so you
- 44:21Speaker 1: feel like coming back.
- 44:22Speaker 7: Absolutely saying I'm in Alabama, open up that STUDI the
- 44:27Speaker 7: second Saturday, know the schedule, the second one.
- 44:33Speaker 5: Listen. Let me tell you all about Jessica. One time
- 44:36Speaker 5: she sent me the calendar and it wasn't nothing, open elf,
- 44:39Speaker 5: seven months from now. I'm scared. Let me get this book.
- 44:45Speaker 1: See when you tex me, you said, Apam, you ain't
- 44:48Speaker 1: got that December. I was like it was like ma'am.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, it's not it's not ready. But
- 44:55Speaker 1: she respected. She said, oh she's serious, yeah about herself.
- 44:58Speaker 1: And that's that thing you were baking.
- 45:00Speaker 4: People they are say, but this is a standard said
- 45:03Speaker 4: you know, she didn't second second Saturday.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Second Saturday. We record on the second Saturday. I'm coming

- 45:18Speaker 1: real life. We love you.
- 45:19Speaker 4: If you wanted podcasting this year, shame on you. Sit
