- 0:39Hey guys, welcome to the live stream.
- 0:40Welcome to the basement. Today is a big day.
- 0:43It's our four month Unicorn fart dust birthday.
- 0:46So congratulations. Like what have we accomplished
- 0:50in the last four months? It has been nothing short of
- 0:53spectacular, right? There's been millions and
- 0:56millions, literally maybe 10 million other meme coins created
- 1:01since we came around. Well, at least millions and
- 1:03millions and we are still amongst the top 607 hundred of
- 1:08all crypto currencies. So give yourself a pat on your
- 1:12hindquarters. It's a big deal.
- 1:14It's been an awesome ride. 1/3 of a year, 4 months, right?
- 1:18Sometimes feels like 40 years, sometimes feels like 4 hours.
- 1:23Things move very crazy and crypto.
- 1:25But the bottom line is you as a community have made this happen.
- 1:28So thank you. Hey, my disclaimer, this is not
- 1:31financial advice. Don't buy or sell anything.
- 1:33Make any type of decisions based on anything that I share here
- 1:36today. I'm not a financial advisor, but
- 1:39I do hold a large, large position in Unicorn Parta.
- 1:43So our horns are aligned and horns up dusters.
- 1:48Excuse me, I'm still a little under the weather, but we are
- 1:51connecting from all over the world and this is a special
- 1:54situation. Later on in this live stream,
- 1:58we're going to be joined by a special guest, Jax, the founder
- 2:01of Memecon, those big conventions, meme coin
- 2:04conventions that go on all around the world.
- 2:07We're going to have a great conversation with him about some
- 2:11upcoming conventions, but also I'm going to ask him about what
- 2:14he sees going on in the meme coin sector.
- 2:17See if he has any advice for us at Unicorn Fart Dust, right as
- 2:21we as a community based coin move forward.
- 2:24But let's go out and take a look at what's going on in the
- 2:27general markets right now. It's important we stay on top of
- 2:30things in the US We're going to refresh this.
- 2:34We're out at the CNBC website. OK, so that's not it.
- 2:39Let's go to the United States, Dow Jones Industrial, so the
- 2:44markets are red today. The stock market, the Dow down
- 2:47.6 the S&P. Wow, the NASDAQ really getting
- 2:52hit. This has to do with NVIDIA.
- 2:55Apparently the Trump administration is making it more
- 2:59difficult, from what I understand, for NVIDIA to export
- 3:02their chips to China. So we're taking a big hit on the
- 3:05NASDAQ. Let's go look at the crypto
- 3:07markets and see if that. OK, so Bitcoin down just a hair,
- 3:12Ether, Etherium down 2%, Solana down 2%, Dogecoin at 15.
- 3:18You know, I was looking at a chart of Dogecoin.
- 3:21Let's pull this up. They're obviously the right now,
- 3:25for now anyway, the biggest meme coin out there.
- 3:29But if you look at a one year chart of Doge and you go back to
- 3:34right around when we were created guys, DOGE is down
- 3:38almost 66% during that time period.
- 3:42So as we talked about earlier, what we've accomplished over the
- 3:46last four months has been unbelievable as a community.
- 3:50However, when we when we when we consider the fact that we've
- 3:53done that in a very difficult crypto market, it's even more
- 3:57impressive. Let's go out and look at the
- 3:59precious metals because they are first cousins to crypto and gold
- 4:04is still on a tear at 33, fourteen 3314 silver up $0.40 at
- 4:12about 32, almost $33 per oz. So that's what we have going in
- 4:17the general markets. Now let's talk about UFD and I
- 4:21want to share with you something that I found very heartwarming
- 4:24that shows what this community is all about.
- 4:27Community is going to drive the value.
- 4:29Community will drive the price, right?
- 4:32This is a complete community takeover coin.
- 4:36This Unicorn fart dust is the one-of-a-kind.
- 4:41I mean, really, the Unicorn in Unicorn fart dust truly is the
- 4:47Unicorn. And what I'm seeing here guys is
- 4:50so encouraging for me. This was very heartwarming.
- 4:54Hold on here, I bumped into this last night and this just to me
- 4:59speaks volumes about the UFD community.
- 5:02This guy Anon who is big in the apparently APU which is another
- 5:09very popular meme coin community said he picked up 10,000 UFD.
- 5:14Not financial advice but I really believe in where Unicorn
- 5:18fart dust is headed. I forgot to.
- 5:20Turn Susie's walkie on. Hold on one second here.
- 5:23OK? Uh oh.
- 5:25I'm going to be in trouble, guys, OK?
- 5:28I'm here for the long haul and backing that up with real
- 5:33action. But then look what happened
- 5:35after this, after this great person posted this, I was just
- 5:39like, overwhelmed. I mean, there's Georgie, welcome
- 5:42to the party, OK? There's Duster O1 best play 2025
- 5:48to 2030. There's an advertisement.
- 5:51There's lad. Welcome to UFDI.
- 5:53Mean look at this. There's Windows 98 Fart Force
- 5:56One. There's Madman.
- 5:58Welcome to the family UFD. There's Nate Unicorn fart dust.
- 6:03OK. There's Mr. B with the video of
- 6:05the Duster Mobile OK. There's BJOR 96 NFT.
- 6:11There's P, OK. There's Mr. B again.
- 6:15I mean, there's DJ Litmus. It just goes on and on.
- 6:17Guys. You guys like somebody comes in,
- 6:20welcome, welcome, welcome. That's a big deal.
- 6:23That is value because you know what?
- 6:26People will pay money to be part of a community, to belong, to
- 6:31feel like they're part of something that is real.
- 6:34OK, Think about this. What's the most valuable thing
- 6:37in your life? What's the most valuable thing
- 6:40of tangible real things and of intangible things?
- 6:44Everybody will say relationships, being part of a
- 6:47group. So when I saw that, I was just
- 6:50completely encouraged again with what you are doing as a
- 6:54community. And we've been here for four
- 6:56months. We've proven right.
- 6:58We've proven that we are here to stay.
- 7:01We are just building and building and building this base
- 7:04that I think, I think with the power of the community like this
- 7:08is you guys, this is in your hands and you're taking the
- 7:11opportunity to make it something real that we've got great things
- 7:16ahead. For us, all right.
- 7:17Let's go look at this other data about UFD, all right.
- 7:28This was a great. Post from Deep agents said UFD
- 7:31top holders haven't made any sales in the last month and the
- 7:35top five holders haven't made any sales at all at basement
- 7:40run. Do they know something?
- 7:43Well, I can't comment on that, but we'll say, let's say that
- 7:48that that I would agree with them, OK.
- 7:54But what I look at when I see this chart, this is I think
- 7:56very, very interesting. These are our top 10 holders.
- 8:01Okay, I'm almost on that list because I now own .7%.
- 8:04I've been buying Unicorn fart test, not financial advice.
- 8:08I'm not, you know, not making predictions or anything, but I
- 8:11am almost in the top 10. But look at this and that says
- 8:15something, right? Our top 10 holders, I mean, I
- 8:18think on average, it looks like, I mean, our, our, the, our top
- 8:24holder owns 2%. We got a couple in there.
- 8:27But on average, where did I see this?
- 8:29I saw some data on here. I mean, basically, guys, our
- 8:32holders are so diversified, it's incredible.
- 8:41Sorry, I have to mute the microphone to cough from time to
- 8:44time. I'm going to have a little sip
- 8:45of coffee here. I'll struggle through this.
- 8:56But that's a big deal, right? That our, our our holder base is
- 9:01so diversified, so many. We got 400 people.
- 9:05It's our four month anniversary. Congratulations, dusters,
- 9:08Please, before I forget, share this video.
- 9:11All right, retweet it if you're watching on X, if you're on
- 9:15YouTube, give it a thumbs up, share it with your friends,
- 9:18share a link. You know, you can go to these
- 9:19things and get the little arrow that says share.
- 9:21Send it out on your social media, repost it.
- 9:24Let's get the word out about UFD.
- 9:26This is such a unique and special opportunity.
- 9:31And if you're here now, you believe, right, you're a super
- 9:34duster, why not share? Why not spread the good news,
- 9:38right? We've got a lot of a lot to be
- 9:40optimistic about. We have a solid foundation going
- 9:43on. So please and don't forget guys
- 9:45here in the near future on YouTube only, we're going to be
- 9:49switching the live stream to the Unicorn Fart Dust exclusive
- 9:54channel. We have a new channel on YouTube
- 9:56for Unicorn Fart Dust. I think we're up to about 400
- 9:59subscribers right now. So please go out, find that
- 10:03there's a link in the description and subscribe to the
- 10:06new YouTube channel as well. Now let's do Duster of the Day.
- 10:11We have a very, very special Duster of the Day today,
- 10:15somebody who's super popular within our community and is
- 10:20doing a lot for the mean coin sector in general.
- 10:29Our good friend Hanok, my grandson, he calls me his grand
- 10:34pappy. He started that.
- 10:36But we absolutely love this guy. Actually, everybody loves this
- 10:40guy. And you know, it's a big, big
- 10:42privilege and a big honor that he's part of our Duster
- 10:46community. Our friend, our friend duster #1
- 10:51actually made this recommendation.
- 10:53And I can't believe we didn't do it sooner.
- 10:55But Hanok, you know, it comes into our spaces.
- 10:59He's a big believer in UFDI. Wanted to mention to you guys
- 11:02too, he has his own podcast now. Let me see if I can pull this up
- 11:07without screwing things up. There it is.
- 11:10There the meme coin podcast. He's covering all things crypto.
- 11:15Please subscribe to that. Let me go back here.
- 11:18I want to go to his link tree. That's what I wanted to go to.
- 11:22OK, there it is, the meme coin podcast and you can listen to
- 11:25that on Apple Podcast, YouTube X TikTok.
- 11:28Everything's there, all of his different links.
- 11:31Hey, this guy is, like I said, everybody loves him.
- 11:34He's the best. So it's a big honor today that
- 11:37we get the we get to recognize Hanok as duster of the day.
- 11:42Right, he's going to get his golden horn in a minute.
- 11:44But first, he even took the time to write a nice little note to
- 11:47all of us. Duster.
- 11:48So this is from our friend Hanok, who says UFT is one of
- 11:57the most remarkable stories ever to come from meme coins.
- 12:01I've never seen a more wholesome community in my 4 years
- 12:05dedicated to memes. So he's been around meme coins
- 12:08longer than almost anybody. Guys, I'm not going to lie, when
- 12:12I first heard about Unicorn Fart test I thought it was the
- 12:15dumbest weirdest narrative. Well you know what Henox?
- 12:18So did I remember when I created it I said his Unicorn fart does.
- 12:22Don't buy it. So you're not alone my friend.
- 12:25I completely faded. I watched the massive run up and
- 12:28when Bitcoin started declining I thought it was over but then I
- 12:33met a key community member and started attending spaces.
- 12:37I listened to Ron speak and lead with passion and integrity.
- 12:41I was wrong about UFDI saw strength and resilience in the
- 12:45face of mean coin Armageddon this year.
- 12:49My number one metric for successful meme coins are the
- 12:53quality of the people connected to the project.
- 12:56It's rare that you see an aggregate of high quality
- 12:59individuals in a meme project. That's what we have with UFD.
- 13:04So much higher for us. You brought up a couple things I
- 13:08want to touch on guys. Number one, right that we have
- 13:11survived. Through.
- 13:12Meme coin Armageddon. We saw what happened to to
- 13:16Dogecoin since our creation. We know what's going on in the
- 13:19general markets and we have survived with perseverance and
- 13:24positivity. So I appreciate Hanoch pointing
- 13:26that out. But I think what's even more
- 13:28important, and I've been harping on this a lot lately, as you all
- 13:32very well know, are the quality of the people connected to the
- 13:36project. Guys, our community is made-up
- 13:40of, I tear up saying this, the highest quality people, OK?
- 13:46Quality, OK. And quantity is important and
- 13:49we've got quantity, but the quality of the people, right?
- 13:53Like I would rather gain 10 new quality people today than 100
- 13:58low quality. And we are attracting the people
- 14:01in this community, the quality. Right.
- 14:04And I know that's a general blanket term, but it is
- 14:07absolutely true, right, that the quality of people in this
- 14:11community is really, really second to none.
- 14:14So thank you, Hanak, for pointing that out.
- 14:17We're waiting for our friend Jax.
- 14:19Jax, if you're listening out there, you go in and press Enter
- 14:26Studio on. On stream Yard, which is the
- 14:30platform we're using today. But hey everybody, let's let's
- 14:35all everybody help me install the Golden horn onto our friend
- 14:39Hanok, OK? He brought up some great points.
- 14:42He said you're quality people, right?
- 14:43But it's a big deal that today we're going to recognize you,
- 14:46Hanok, as duster of the day, and here is your golden horn.
- 14:51And hey, guys, I just saw Jax come in.
- 14:53I'm going to pull him up. Hold on one second.
- 14:55Hey. Ron.
- 14:58Hey, good to see you. Yeah, good to see you too,
- 15:00buddy. How's it going?
- 15:02Really good. Thanks.
- 15:03Really good. Yeah, very busy in preparation
- 15:07for all the events that we've got coming up, but yeah, very,
- 15:09very good. And yourself.
- 15:11Yeah, we're doing great. We're doing great.
- 15:13We really appreciate you coming on.
- 15:14I know I kind of told everybody you're the founder of Memecon,
- 15:19these big Memecoin conventions that go on all around the world,
- 15:24you know, and I think, did you, did you just wrap up your
- 15:26convention in, in Paris? Is that right?
- 15:30Yeah, correct. We, we ran like a mini kind of
- 15:32like conference alongside Paris Blockchain Week.
- 15:36So that was last week. Very, very successful.
- 15:40So it's been a crazy few months, right?
- 15:41And I think it was for us, we were, we were honoring and are
- 15:45in about going to Paris. And then we're really glad that
- 15:48we did in the end. We made some incredible
- 15:50connections to teamwork brilliant out there.
- 15:52So yeah, it's good, Very good. Wow.
- 15:56So, yeah, well, you know, and I wanted to ask you because how,
- 15:59how many years have you been? Is it been two or three years
- 16:02that you've been running these the the meme coin conventions?
- 16:06No, actually SO started in December 2023.
- 16:11So. Yeah, so myself, I think I said
- 16:14to you before everybody else on the call, I've been in crypto
- 16:18for a long, long time or fills up a long time.
- 16:20I guess I'll be classed kind of as an OG since 2017.
- 16:24And so I've been in meme coin specifically for around about
- 16:27three years. And yeah, December 2023, I was
- 16:34actually looking for work at the time and thinking what to do.
- 16:37And then this idea just kind of swung into my head.
- 16:40Nobody saw a mean coin conference.
- 16:42And there are obviously lots of other mean, There are lots of
- 16:45other conferences for everything else in crypto, but mean coins
- 16:48didn't have somewhere to go to. So that's kind of how it
- 16:50started, yeah. Excellent.
- 16:53So over those years, I'm going to ask you for some insight.
- 16:57Since you've been around the mean coin sector, are there any
- 17:00key key factors or components that you see that you think help
- 17:05determine the success or failure of meme of a certain meme coin?
- 17:11Definitely. So it's, it's actually, I mean,
- 17:15it's changed a lot since the last year because of obviously
- 17:17everything that's happened with Pump Fund, which has completely
- 17:20changed the landscape. Because before obviously it was
- 17:25there were a lot of the meme coins that were kind of, I guess
- 17:27based on pure memes, things like Pepe, Doge, things like that,
- 17:30that were doing extremely well. And that's basically based off
- 17:34just of a meme historically because it's been so culturally
- 17:37relevant. But then if you look at what's.
- 17:40Happened with kind of pump fun over the last year.
- 17:42It's completely kind of changed landscape.
- 17:44So meme coins were always casino type.
- 17:49I would say it's borderline gambling in the past for sure,
- 17:53but this is kind of like made it even more into that on that
- 17:57side. Whereas to answer your kind of
- 18:00other question, how how do I see projects really push forward and
- 18:03become much, much bigger is looking into creating some kind
- 18:09of IP. And I think that's kind of where
- 18:11I see quite a lot of the mean coins that the bigger ones or
- 18:14the ones that are trying to really push the space kind of
- 18:17going towards. So examples of that would be
- 18:20like Ponkey, for example. I think you guys are doing a
- 18:23really good job of that as well. And I don't know if you saw a
- 18:27few weeks ago, there was a brilliant article by Luca, you
- 18:30must have seen it in touch about social, social tokens.
- 18:34And that's, that's the way that I kind of see it.
- 18:36Teams that will push to actually become brands within their own
- 18:40rights within this place and take this very seriously should
- 18:43I think do very well and in the next kind of like 6 months and
- 18:47one year. That's not to say that the
- 18:49casino goes away. The casino is an important part
- 18:52of meme coins for sure. But I think there's an
- 18:54opportunity, there's a gap in the kind of market for meme
- 18:57coins to have those kind of brands come forward like a
- 19:01pudding. So we're just, I think we're
- 19:03just waiting to see which one it will be.
- 19:05So yeah. Yeah, like a real a real value
- 19:10being created because of the brand itself and obviously
- 19:14generated from within a community.
- 19:16I would imagine is is going to be a key component as well.
- 19:20You know, we were we were Unicorn fart Dust, as I'm sure
- 19:22you know was created on pump fun.
- 19:25And now that I've been today's our four month birthday, by the
- 19:28way, Jack, so Unicorn fart dust is officially four months old,
- 19:34you know, and I have kind of mixed feelings when I look at
- 19:36pump Fung as I know there's just like 50 or 60,000 new meme coin
- 19:40being created and that's where I came from.
- 19:44So I'm not like putting it down, but it just feels like this
- 19:47non-stop like production of meme coins.
- 19:51And I just wonder, I wonder where that goes eventually,
- 19:55right? Does that does that event?
- 19:57I mean, I wonder what happens any.
- 19:58Thoughts on that? I don't think it goes away.
- 20:01I think it probably will get bigger.
- 20:03That's honestly what I think just purely based on if you're
- 20:06looking at why these meme coins spring up every single day,
- 20:09right? This is based on attention
- 20:11economy. Lots of the memes coming from
- 20:13places like TikTok, other memes coming just from social media,
- 20:17public figures saying things. And then that would just spring
- 20:20up a meme and that that that stuff like a lot of it is
- 20:23gambling, right? You have people that are
- 20:25literally devs that will sit there.
- 20:29I don't, I don't know who they are, most of them, but they're
- 20:31sitting there obviously all day just looking for things to
- 20:34launch and then sniping tokens, bundles and things like that.
- 20:40So it's a, it's a pretty dangerous kind of like place to
- 20:42play in for sure. But it can be extremely
- 20:44lucrative. And I think that's the thing, I
- 20:47don't think that goes away because some people, they make
- 20:49so much money off of doing this. But I think you need to be on it
- 20:53every, you know, you need to be on it almost 24/7 or you need to
- 20:56have the right tools in place to know what you're doing to make
- 20:59sure you don't get burnt. So I don't think that goes away
- 21:02anytime soon for sure. Yeah, you know, and I and.
- 21:06As you were, as you were talking, I was thinking with
- 21:09this like mass production of meme coins that we're
- 21:13experiencing right now, like kind of dilution within the meme
- 21:17coin sector. I wonder if the meme coins that
- 21:21are able to establish themselves as a brand.
- 21:25And I would think that a lot of the meme coins that you deal
- 21:28with and running your conventions are ones that are
- 21:30working on wanting to establish themselves as a brand, if in a
- 21:34almost perverse way, it helps the meme coins that are
- 21:39establishing themselves as a brand.
- 21:41Because there's so many other ones that are like, I guess you
- 21:44would say some people call them gambling tokens short term.
- 21:48That the ones that do set themselves apart, the, the pudgy
- 21:51Penguins and the Unicorn fart dust and coins like that, that
- 21:55actually at some point people throw their arms up and say, I
- 21:58just want to go with a, a meme coin that I know I can trust and
- 22:01believe it. Uh oh.
- 22:08I think Jax froze on us here temporarily.
- 22:14Jax fell asleep. Oh boy, we were having such a
- 22:18great conversation. We'll wait here, we'll get him
- 22:21back, folks, don't worry. But I do find that to be an
- 22:25interesting thing. And Jax really kind of
- 22:28stimulated that thought to me that, yes, we know we've got all
- 22:32of these, all of these meme coins being created every single
- 22:36day that in some way that actually helps the meme coins
- 22:40that are that are establishing themselves as a brand.
- 22:47You know what guys? While he's hopefully going to
- 22:50get back to us here, get reconnected, I want to run out
- 22:54and show you their website that's got some information.
- 23:01Here's the meme con. It's memecon dot lol website.
- 23:07There it is right there and I wanted to ask him what does rect
- 23:09mean? RERE.
- 23:10KTI was thinking that was like maybe a party term.
- 23:14But here's Memecon and looks like their upcoming summit
- 23:20convention will be in Lisbon, June 4th through 6th.
- 23:26And Jax, if you come back on and I hear you, let me go back and
- 23:30check. Make sure we don't have them up.
- 23:32Here he is. Jax, hold on here.
- 23:41Are you there? Uh oh.
- 23:45Hey, Jax. Nope.
- 23:48All right, Jax, if you can hear me, we're going to try this
- 23:53again. I'm going to remove you.
- 23:55Try to come back on one more time.
- 23:57I'll remove you all together, OK.
- 24:01The stage. Jax, are you there?
- 24:06Darn it. All right, so I'm going to
- 24:08remove him. Here we go.
- 24:12OK, let's go back out to his website.
- 24:15Always something fun and exciting when you're live
- 24:17streaming, guys. I know you understand that, but
- 24:21yeah, so that. Lisbon will be here June 4th
- 24:24through 6th. Here's some past events.
- 24:26They have a lot of fun here. Let's look at their Lisbon from
- 24:29last year. What the fuck?
- 24:39Why hasn't this happened? But.
- 24:43There's some footage from there. All right, guys, I'm going to go
- 25:03back and see if we can get Jax back on here.
- 25:09Hey Jax, can you hear me? Darn it, for some reason you're
- 25:14not coming through with video or audio authenticated with
- 25:20YouTube, OK? Ha.
- 25:25Well, darn it, guys, I cannot get.
- 25:30He's trying again. Let's see.
- 25:32Oh, there he is. Let's see if this works, Jax.
- 25:36Shit, I mean, I mean, I Portugal, I live in Portugal and
- 25:42the Internet in Portugal is terrible, Yeah.
- 25:45No. Where I am.
- 25:47Yeah. No, no, no problem, buddy.
- 25:49And then I'm like, am I doing something wrong?
- 25:51You know, I, I told everybody this is live streaming, you
- 25:55know, you get to deal with, you get to deal with all kinds of
- 25:57fun stuff. So I showed your website.
- 26:00And your next conventions coming up in Lisbon early June, is that
- 26:04correct? Correct.
- 26:05Yeah, for 4th to the 6th of June.
- 26:07So this will be the. Oh boy, Poor Jax.
- 26:14You froze up again on me, unfortunately.
- 26:18Darn it. I know.
- 26:20Internet issues are so, so all right.
- 26:24We're going to. We'll try again frustrating Jax,
- 26:32if you you're still alive. So if you can hear me and you
- 26:35think you're back on, just start talking and I will bring you
- 26:39back on on video again. I thought we were having a great
- 26:43conversation. I've liked him.
- 26:45I've been on his show a few times.
- 26:47I just think that the one thing that I took away from our our,
- 26:52our conversation is this fact that there are certain meme
- 26:56coins that are beginning to establish themselves as a brand.
- 27:00And I think Unicorn Fart Dust is a brand.
- 27:02OK, look, we've got all the key components.
- 27:05We have our, our, our, our origin story, our lore, how this
- 27:10got created by the almost boomer in his basement who didn't
- 27:13believe in crypto at all. We've got Jax's Jax, just so
- 27:18everybody knows he is doing his best to get back on.
- 27:21I can see him putting in the effort here.
- 27:24Apparently in Portugal they have some real challenges with with
- 27:28Internet. We've got our creed good,
- 27:31attracts good, right? Our beliefs, honesty, integrity.
- 27:35We have our. We have our, our, our icons our.
- 27:40Symbols. The Unicorn, right?
- 27:42Everything else goes on. We have our rituals.
- 27:45Horns up, dusters, jacks. Yeah.
- 27:48It just is not. I don't see.
- 28:24This is Ward. I now can't hear you, Ron.
- 28:29If you can see me, then I can't hear you now.
- 28:35OK. Not sure why this is.
- 28:41No, not the play. Any sound.
- 28:43Very strange. No, it's not that.
- 28:54Yeah, I definitely need the walkie-talkie.
- 28:59I'll come back out one more time and come back in, see if it
- 29:02works. So apologies.
- 29:19I think he. I think I had my microphone
- 29:21muted. Oh my gosh.
- 29:25Hey, what a great opportunity to say thank you to our sponsors.
- 29:28Ledger, the leader in hardware wallet cold storage.
- 29:31You know my story, right? Please don't do what I did.
- 29:35Think about security before something happens.
- 29:38Don't. Think it won't?
- 29:39Happen to you and our friends at Moon Pay who make it possible
- 29:43for me to be here every day moon pay is the on ramp into crypto
- 29:48for millions and millions of people all over the world if you
- 29:51haven't heard of moon pay yet you certainly will in the future
- 29:56jax we're waiting for you to come back I actually jax think I
- 29:59had my microphone muted which would be my.
- 30:02Fault that time, but hey, we've got 800 people here.
- 30:05Come on, Jax, we're we're rooting for you.
- 30:08Give us one more try, my friend. I have a feeling we're going to
- 30:13get it all set up and we're going to keep going.
- 30:16Let me go out guys, while we're here and I will.
- 30:21I want to show you the funnies of the day.
- 30:26These come from our friend Susie, right?
- 30:28Eat your beans Dusters, All right, the artwork that you guys
- 30:34that's from Frannie and the dusters 100 billion for UFD.
- 30:38That is awesome and here we go this came from RBIL 26278 O, but
- 30:52some great artwork. OK.
- 30:55And I really appreciate you guys getting Ledger and Moon Pay in
- 30:58there as well, right? Because again, these sponsors
- 31:01are everything. All right, let's go back out and
- 31:06see if we got Jacks. There he is.
- 31:08Hold on. Can you hear me?
- 31:12Jax? You were there.
- 31:15Darn it. Hey, Jax, let's do this.
- 31:24Jax, now you're frozen. My microphone's on, darn it.
- 31:36Now I can't hear you and you're frozen on my screen,
- 31:39unfortunately. So hold on here.
- 31:46Let me see if Susie has any ideas.
- 31:49Hey, Susie, do you up? Jax?
- 31:52Oh, yeah, it's frozen. All right, hold on.
- 31:55Oh, wait, wait, wait. Jax can't unmute.
- 32:01I can't hear you now. Says your microphone is muted.
- 32:07Yeah, yeah, I can hear you now, Jax.
- 32:11Jax. Oh, thank God.
- 32:13Oh my gosh, I feel like we've been through.
- 32:15I feel like we've been through a war together or something.
- 32:19Trust me, it's not, not the first time.
- 32:21Like I say, like it's it's bizarre.
- 32:22Like I'm in Porto in Portugal and it's Lisbon was the same.
- 32:27Porto is the same. Some days it's OK, other days
- 32:30it's not. So yeah, anyway, we got there in
- 32:31the end. Yeah, Yeah.
- 32:33Well. You know, and it's funny because
- 32:35before we went on, I was down here in the basement and kind of
- 32:38preparing mentally for us talking.
- 32:40And it hit me. It's like, it's really just a
- 32:43miracle in my opinion. I mean, I'm 55 years old, but
- 32:46that we can like connect. You're in Portugal.
- 32:48I'm here. We've got 850 people that are
- 32:51joining us right now. I mean, I know we have
- 32:55challenges with technology, but the fact that we can do this is
- 32:59pretty darn cool if you if you think about it.
- 33:03It is cool. I just wish it was easier.
- 33:05And Spaces is the same like we've been, we've been running
- 33:08Spaces on Twitter for like over a year now.
- 33:10And yeah, you get rugged on that constantly as well.
- 33:13So we're getting pretty used to it.
- 33:14But yeah, it, it takes a bit of patience, but we've got there
- 33:17now. But I think the, the question
- 33:18that you asked me before was about basically liquidity, like
- 33:22fragmented kind of liquidity across all of these different
- 33:24tokens launching. And I was just going to say,
- 33:27yeah, it's it's definitely a problem for sure.
- 33:30As soon as you get some new trend or something happening
- 33:34coming through on pump fund, right, all that liquidity or a
- 33:37lot of it gets pulled. And that's down to what's
- 33:40happened with obviously pump fund launching and all that
- 33:43attention being dragged everywhere.
- 33:45But I do think again, just going back to this whole trying to get
- 33:50the big kind of like meme coins to create these kind of brands.
- 33:53It's still, in my opinion, the best way to bring new people
- 33:56into Web 3 like or crypt crypto, web three, however you'd like to
- 34:01call it. But that's that's been the
- 34:03problem in the over the past kind of few years for me is that
- 34:07we, we haven't seen the same on boarding of people probably
- 34:10since NFTSNFTS did bring a lot of new people in.
- 34:13From what I can remember. People still talk about them
- 34:16when I speak about crypto, but nobody really outside of crypto
- 34:20that I like within my kind of like social kind of circles talk
- 34:24about mean coins. And that's very different.
- 34:26And I do think that's partially a problem because you haven't
- 34:30seen these kind of like brands like boiled apes or pudgy
- 34:34Penguins that seem to kind of hit the mainstream.
- 34:37Meme coins still haven't done that yet.
- 34:39Even though you have Doge, you have Pepe, you have these
- 34:43massive meme coins backed by huge public figures, it still
- 34:46doesn't seem to have actually reached the kind of like social
- 34:49the the the the norm. Oh man, now he's gone.
- 34:57I'm back. Yeah, Sorry.
- 34:58Somebody's back. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:00That's. OK.
- 35:01Oh, boy, Good. You know, that's interesting you
- 35:03say that because what I found now that I've been, you know,
- 35:07officially in meme coins for four months is when I talk to
- 35:11like what I would say average people that are like my
- 35:13contemporaries here in the US, people around my around my age
- 35:18group, It seems like everybody knows of Doge, right?
- 35:22Like everybody knows of Doge, but they don't necessarily think
- 35:26of it as a meme coin or know that it's a meme coin.
- 35:30Like they know the the brand, I guess you would say, or the name
- 35:34Doge. And I wonder because you're
- 35:37bringing up a great point and a lot of people have, have have
- 35:39said that's something that I can help do because of like my age
- 35:44and the fact that I'm out here everyday talking is how do we
- 35:48get more of the mainstream people, you know, the 88% that
- 35:54don't own meme coins or 95% to come into the meme coin sector.
- 35:59And I think it's like you talked about earlier, it might have to
- 36:01do with developing good steady, the reliable brands within the
- 36:07memecoin sector. Yeah, for sure.
- 36:11I also, I think it's partially maybe possible to do it this
- 36:16way. Is that what again?
- 36:18I always go, I do go back to Pudgy Penguins a lot.
- 36:20But I was speaking to my Co founder the other day about this
- 36:25and what Pudgy have done with abstract as well in terms of
- 36:29having kind of like the chain. It is a very, again, I think
- 36:33very good way to do it because you obviously have account
- 36:37abstraction, which like lowers the barriers to entry for people
- 36:40to be able to actually come into the space.
- 36:42But then on top of what you've actually built as well around
- 36:45the IP, you can actually on board people into kind of
- 36:49decentralized finance through the means of a brand.
- 36:54And I think like if you were looking at like traditional
- 36:57finance and how they use marketing to attract people to
- 37:03come and, you know, bank with them or or do anything with
- 37:07them, save with them, buy property, things like that.
- 37:10I think the way the definitely the kind of attention economy is
- 37:15and the kind of zoomers and all these other people, I do think
- 37:18there's a huge opportunity through defying cryptocurrency
- 37:21to on board lots of these kind of people into crypto as if they
- 37:26were coming in instead and actually parking their money or
- 37:30or, you know, investing in cryptocurrency through kind of
- 37:33like memes or IPI actually think that's a possibility.
- 37:37I think Pudgy Penguins, I don't know if that's kind of Luca's
- 37:39plan, but just looking at kind of what he's built around the
- 37:43kind of the brand itself and the fact that they've now got
- 37:46abstracts on top of that, I think it's quite an interesting
- 37:49route to go. And there's they're not the only
- 37:51ones doing it either. Yeah.
- 37:52And we are. And right now, Jax, just so you
- 37:55know, I should have disclosed this to you earlier, but we are
- 37:58actually streaming on Abstract Local, yeah.
- 38:02So we're we are. Streaming on abstract, which I'm
- 38:06excited to do right. We're on, we're on X, we're on
- 38:09YouTube, we're on LinkedIn, Facebook, but now we're also for
- 38:14about the last three weeks, we're on abstract as well.
- 38:16And, and I, I agree with you. You know, the thing that one of
- 38:20the things that is I learned about crypto over the last four
- 38:23months that really excited me that you touched on a couple
- 38:26times is this idea of this being decentralized finance that, you
- 38:32know, that we are independent there.
- 38:34There's no, there's no central authority figure that controls
- 38:39Unicorn fart dust. I think a lot of people look at
- 38:42me and think, well, you know, the reality is, I guess I'm the
- 38:46figurehead and I am the developer.
- 38:48I can't take that, you know, away.
- 38:50But but the reality is I don't control Unicorn fart dust,
- 38:54right? I don't make decisions.
- 38:55I can't make more more coins. There's a finite number.
- 38:58They've all been created. And I think that as people
- 39:02around the world start to realize the benefits of that, of
- 39:06this decentralized and kind of the fair and level playing
- 39:10field, that we could get more people coming in as well.
- 39:14Yeah, definitely. It's, it's been in like a long
- 39:17time, as I say, since I've started, you know, going into
- 39:20script. So that was the thing that first
- 39:22kind of attracted me to it. I was, I was told about Bitcoin
- 39:25even way before that. But the idea of being able to,
- 39:29yes, be decentralized away from the central kind of authority or
- 39:33like, you know, not having to basically rely on having these
- 39:37third parties look after your funds and having a bit more kind
- 39:40of autonomy is really interesting.
- 39:43I think the only, the only problem that I foresee still at
- 39:46the moment is that we still haven't made it where it's easy
- 39:50enough for people to just come in and play.
- 39:53And there's still this kind of stigma around cryptocurrency,
- 39:56which I think is fair as well. And that's due to the lack of
- 39:59regulations of not been there for the last kind of like 10
- 40:02years. That is changing and obviously
- 40:05regulations are coming in, but just your, if you want the
- 40:08average person to come into crypto, they, they are going to
- 40:12at least want to know that they're protected.
- 40:15And that's the biggest problem. It we we will attract the
- 40:18gamblers, we will attract people that just want to speculate and
- 40:22potentially hit an 100A100X. But the actual people to come in
- 40:27and trust the system and know that they're not going to lose
- 40:30their money. If they do lose their money,
- 40:32that they can actually go somewhere and be, you know,
- 40:34supported and there's regulation, then it's going to
- 40:38be hard I think to onboard everybody.
- 40:40I think this is where like the kind of people that have been
- 40:44encrypted a long time, there is this yeah, like almost.
- 40:49I think lots of us don't want to see it happen.
- 40:51But then if we if we really want to push on and get to the next
- 40:55level, then it has to happen. And I think that will in turn
- 41:00really benefit mean coins as well.
- 41:02Because again, like if, if we can grow brands around Defy and
- 41:08then have that kind of like marketing power to attract
- 41:12normal people and you're also regulated, then I think
- 41:15honestly, we could get to like an incredible point where these
- 41:19mean coins could become like brands companies and offer all
- 41:23of these services as well. So, but I think we're, we're
- 41:26probably still quite a long way off that.
- 41:27But that's maybe, I don't know. I'd be interested to speak to
- 41:30people like Luca to find out their kind of strategy and
- 41:32vision of what they really see, see that becoming with the, you
- 41:36know, the abstract stuff as well.
- 41:38Yeah. Yeah, it's, it's interesting
- 41:40because you know, based on my experience, again, four months
- 41:44in crypto, I've learned a lot. And I think what, what, what I
- 41:50heard you saying and correct me if I'm wrong, is that the defy
- 41:54component of crypto is something that is very appealing, very
- 41:59fair. But then there's also maybe some
- 42:01drawbacks with that as well, because there's like a balance
- 42:05that needs to be struck with some types of regulation to, to,
- 42:10to help protect people. If we want the next big wave of
- 42:15people to come into crypto. Is that, is that a fair,
- 42:18somewhat fair assessment of of what of what we see going on
- 42:21right now? Yeah.
- 42:22I guess the way that I say is the D5 is kind of like the
- 42:26backbone that kind of like has grown like pretty much the whole
- 42:29space in terms of like what's been able to be built through
- 42:32these kind of decentralized applications.
- 42:34And then obviously you also have then social finance now on top
- 42:37of that where you can build applications that at the same
- 42:39time. But to get that money in through
- 42:43these kind of, I guess it's just to get more money into the
- 42:46space, then it'll probably still need to come through D5 the big
- 42:49money anyway. But yeah, it's it's yeah.
- 42:52It's just a very interesting kind of like, in my opinion, way
- 42:57for us to get new people in new blood in is through being able
- 43:01to build like lots of stuff off the back of I think IP and
- 43:05brands, which could be like mean coins, just like like I said,
- 43:09Pudgy or Bored Apes and people that did the time.
- 43:11Yeah. You know, I don't know about six
- 43:14weeks ago the guy, Brian Armstrong, he's the CEO of
- 43:17Coinbase, He said that Bitcoin is pretty much a meme coin at
- 43:23this point. He also said the US dollar is
- 43:25pretty much a meme coin at this point.
- 43:27So as I look out like with Unicorn, fart dust into the
- 43:31future. Do you think?
- 43:33That that a community driven coin because Bitcoin was a
- 43:37community driven project basically that that those types
- 43:42of utilities that you were Speaking of can be can be
- 43:46created and built from even community initiatives.
- 43:49Is that within the the spectrum of possibilities?
- 43:53Yeah, I, I, yeah, I really do believe so.
- 43:58I think that's why I'm so I'm really, really bullish on mean
- 44:02coins. I know that it's it's every
- 44:04single time that we go through these kind of cycles, right?
- 44:09So like meme coins really get hit hard.
- 44:12It's the same with what, you know, NFTS stuff about, but
- 44:14there's always something every cycle that gets hit hardest and
- 44:17it's usually meme coins. Everything drops off like you
- 44:20guys have seen, like, you know, 90%, sometimes even down to 96%.
- 44:25But the ones that kind of stick around and continue to build and
- 44:29continue to be serious, kind of reap the rewards.
- 44:32And that's, that's where I truly think we're at at the moment
- 44:35with meme coins is that there's, there's this enormous amount of
- 44:38potential for the ones that stick around and build to be
- 44:42able to, to grow, to like become much bigger than even the
- 44:45current meme coins in the space. Because I think the, the ones
- 44:50like that are already out there at the moment.
- 44:53They've already built a lot. They have communities that have
- 44:56kind of grown old and maybe like on still sticking around.
- 44:59Maybe you have big whales and stuff.
- 45:00But the, the new ones, the ones that have still the energy to
- 45:04kind of really push on and build in the next few years, I think
- 45:08can become absolutely huge. That's honestly what I think.
- 45:11But it's still very early. That's why I reckon it's, even
- 45:14though it feels not very early, I think meme coins can.
- 45:17They'll be around for a very, very long time and the the ones
- 45:20that do right will do very well. And you know, you, you said
- 45:24something that, that, that sparked a thought with me is
- 45:27that like what it feels like right now with UFD is that we
- 45:31are building the core backbone. You said Defy is the core
- 45:35backbone, but it was, I think about what's going on with UFD
- 45:38right now. It feels like we're building
- 45:41kind of the core backbone of of the coin of the community.
- 45:46It's kind of hard to put in words, but that when, as it
- 45:49evolves and as the market gets better, that all types of other
- 45:54utility, other things can be, can blossom, But that what's
- 45:57really it's like the foundation, like a really solid foundation
- 46:02is being built right now. And, and I think it's good for
- 46:05meme coins in general that we have some good, you know, pudgy
- 46:09Penguins, UFD, some strong coins that emerge from this to show
- 46:15that that, you know, meme coins are for real, that this is, you
- 46:18know, really is a a viable sector and will continue to be a
- 46:23viable sector. And then a lot of great things
- 46:25you can. Blossom from these coins and a
- 46:28lot of great utility. I don't know.
- 46:29I'm I'm I'm you. You got me thinking, Jack, So
- 46:32thank you. Yeah, I know.
- 46:33It's, it's, yes, what you kind of said, right, is that the D5
- 46:37pretty much is the foundations because, yeah, but for any of
- 46:40these kind of mean coins yourselves included, right.
- 46:42So people come into UFD because they believe in you, they
- 46:47believe in the project, they believe in the community.
- 46:49And in that way, people are still speculating, they come in
- 46:53to buy the UFD token and that's through D5, through all these
- 46:57kind of decentralized applications to basically put a
- 46:59bet down that you guys will be around for the long term.
- 47:03And then off the back of that kind of foundation, you then are
- 47:06able to build things like social finance applications that might
- 47:12be games, that might be IP, that might be all of these other kind
- 47:17of things that you can build on top of it.
- 47:18That's kind of like that's kind of, I guess the way that I was
- 47:22meaning to explain it. Yeah.
- 47:24Well, you know, and, and, and when I think of D Phi is the
- 47:28backbone, One of the things that gets me very excited is that,
- 47:33you know, there are people in Africa, in South America, even
- 47:38in the United States that maybe can't get a bank account.
- 47:41They can't, you know, engage, but they can come into UFD if
- 47:46they have a phone, basically they can come into UFD and be on
- 47:51equal playing field with me or anybody else that's in UFD.
- 47:56And to me that that's, you know, the quality that to me, that's
- 48:02like a quality foundation of people.
- 48:05And I'm seeing that happening, you know, and that from there,
- 48:09you know, we've got a guy in the Philippines called the Burger
- 48:11Man who does incredible things and gives, you know, that I
- 48:15won't go down that, but that we just have this this foundation
- 48:19built that will that's on equal. Everybody's equal.
- 48:22It's fair, it's transparent. And from there we can build.
- 48:26So Jax, this has been a great conversation.
- 48:29I really, I really appreciate. You coming on here and talking
- 48:31with me? Yeah, No, it's been, it's been
- 48:33great to to come on and chat to you everyone.
- 48:35I've always, always really appreciate the time with, with
- 48:38you to speak to you about this stuff.
- 48:39And yeah, apologies for the technical difficulties for
- 48:43everybody as well. So yeah.
- 48:45Now you've been great and when you when we were popping back
- 48:47and forth, just so you know, I showed your web page and, you
- 48:52know, showed a little bit of the video from some of the past
- 48:56conferences that you've done. I'll encourage everyone to
- 48:58please go out, go to the meme con web page and if you can go
- 49:02to the, the, the conference coming up in Lisbon, right.
- 49:06Is it June 4th through? Yeah.
- 49:08So I just. I just quickly just give a like
- 49:11a minute to see Spain as. Much as you need.
- 49:14Yeah. So the way that Memecon is set
- 49:17up, we are trying to make this a place for everybody, for every
- 49:22community across the Memecon space to come hang out and
- 49:26basically have a good time and also kind of showcase what
- 49:28you're building, meet new people, meet people that you can
- 49:32actually help you to build and actually grow your projects as
- 49:35well at the same time. So we're different from a lot of
- 49:38different conferences out there. Lots of the big conferences out
- 49:41there are unattainable to get involved with because they're
- 49:45very expensive and that excludes a lot of people.
- 49:51So for us, we, we really try, we're trying to grow it to make
- 49:55sure that Memecon is going to be the biggest Memecon conference
- 49:57in the space for that to happen because there really isn't
- 50:01another one out there. We really need the support of
- 50:03everybody in the community to get behind this.
- 50:06So we actually have a place to go and actually chat, meet up
- 50:09and actually try to do the things we've been talking about
- 50:11on this conversation. So if you are anybody in the
- 50:14community at all, if you're an artist, if you're a dev, if you
- 50:18are a community leader, if you're, if you're anything at
- 50:22all, we would love you to get in touch with us to get involved.
- 50:26We can bring you up to speak at Memecon for free.
- 50:29We've done that on the past conferences as well.
- 50:31Doesn't matter who you are. And also at the same time, we
- 50:35have community partnerships. We give away free tickets to the
- 50:38communities as well who are going to be coming to Memecon.
- 50:41And yeah, finally, if you did want to get involved in a larger
- 50:45way, then yes, we do have kind of sponsorship options as well.
- 50:49But yeah, I guess to finish that off, last year the three events
- 50:54that we actually did, Lisbon, Singapore and Bangkok, we ended
- 50:57up having about 15,000 people across all three events.
- 51:00So it was incredibly successful, but we want to get it to a point
- 51:05where it's even bigger and we can be competing hopefully with
- 51:09the biggest conferences out there.
- 51:10We think it can happen, but we just need everybody to know us
- 51:13and also, yeah, support us like we're trying to hopefully
- 51:16support the rest of the community.
- 51:17There you go. Yeah.
- 51:18Yeah, well, now you are doing a great service to the meme coin
- 51:22community. So I would encourage everybody
- 51:24out there if you can or you have an interest or you can attend,
- 51:28reach out to the people at Mecon.
- 51:30I've met a few of the other people that are part of your
- 51:32organization, very high quality people.
- 51:35And Jacks, I just want to say thank you.
- 51:38All right. It's been a great, a great visit
- 51:40with you. And I'm going to get you again
- 51:42and I don't know, four to six weeks and see if you can hop on
- 51:45here. Maybe after, if at the latest
- 51:47after your Lisbon, you can give us an update on on what you're
- 51:50feeling and seeing out there. But thanks so much and everybody
- 51:54who's joined us today, Thank you and I'll be back tomorrow.
- 51:58Everybody have a great day. Thank you.
- 52:01Cheers, Ron. OK, bye.
- 52:02Bye. Thanks, Jax.
