  Speaker 1: be for the Lord because I don't speak that way

  Speaker 1: then he explained to me what he wanted me to

  Speaker 1: Fridays and being an authentic imitator of God, an authentic

  Speaker 1: imitator of the person who lived on this earth perfectly,

  Speaker 1: and that's the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. So let's go

  Speaker 1: for it. Let's authentically imitate Jesus the way we can
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: through his word, not make something up, not make another
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: Jesus up, but through his word. We find him in
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: his word. We find him through his word, and we
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: know it's true because of his word. And his word
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: never returns word. Today's title, though, it's called be humble,
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: not prideful. Be humble, not prideful. Being humble is a
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: powerful thing, especially in our day and age when everybody's
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: trying to act like they got everything together, they got
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: everything they need. They get on social media, they take
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: all these pictures of their wonderful home, cars and everything,
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: and by the way, sometimes it's not even their home,
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: it's not even their cars, And they lived this lifestyle
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: on social media, and when you see them in a
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: real person, it's a totally different situation. Amen. And they're

  Speaker 1: not humble enough to admit that they need help. They're
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: not humble enough to admit that they need God in
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: their life. They're not humble enough to admit that they
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: need a community to surround themselves with that will encourage
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: them and uplift them. Amen, I hope you're not that person.

  Speaker 1: If you're that person, listen, there's a chance for you
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: because God gives everyone second chances, third chances, one hundred chances. Amen.

  Speaker 1: And he speaks word into your life for a reason,

  Speaker 1: for a purpose, and he doesn't waste anybody's time. One

  Speaker 1: of the things I love about God. He's not wasting

  Speaker 1: says clearly with God, with Jesus, we could do all things.

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit God. And we take his word and we

  Speaker 1: never apply it, you will never experience the power of

  Speaker 1: believe the word, activate that word, apply that word in

  Speaker 1: God has no favorites. He's not going to be like, oh,

  Speaker 1: I'm just going to give that to so and so

  Speaker 1: and not to this other person, because for whatever reason,

  Speaker 1: that's not the God that we serve. The God that
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: we serves wants us to be humble, not prideful. So

  Speaker 1: that way we could expl is the fullness of His

  Speaker 1: word over and in and through our lives. Amen. So

  Speaker 1: it's a win win win. Everybody wins. When you take

  Speaker 1: heed to the word of God and apply the word

  Speaker 1: to God, everyone around you wins. You win, Your life

  Speaker 1: increases everything, your faith increases, Amen. And then you're just

  Speaker 1: a different person because now you're encouraged and you know

  Speaker 1: the faithfulness of God to his word and to us. Amen.

  Speaker 1: the disdainful, the presumptuous, and he defeats them, but he

  Speaker 1: gives grace to the humble a man. We could also

  Speaker 1: see this in Proverb chapter three, verse thirty four. So

  Speaker 1: think about it. If you're an experienced believer in you're
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: a man or woman expiritual believer. Amen. People should be

  Speaker 1: learning from us and learning from you. Amen. That's an honor,

  Speaker 1: it's a privilege. Amen, on both sides. Now, this is

  Speaker 1: a younger it's able to trust and believe and follow

  Speaker 1: the older, the one that has more experience in the
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: world of God. And they're lesser rank of experience, not
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: lesson rank of There's no like this guy. Is the

  Speaker 1: time than this person's like corporate America and church. I
• 12:39
  Speaker 1: see it all the time, and I'm like, I cringe.
• 12:41
  Speaker 1: I'm like, where they again it is from? And then
• 12:42
  Speaker 1: I say, oh, yeah, they're getting that from corporate America.
• 12:45
  Speaker 1: You know, the whole ladder to success thing that I'm
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: snuck into the church. But listen, we're talking about men,
• 12:54
  Speaker 1: talking about women, talking about those who have lesser rank
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: and experience are to be subject to that elders and
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: seek that counsel. Hey man, that's how we humble ourselves.
• 13:05
  Speaker 1: We're like, this person has more experience than me in life,
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: in the world and everything. I'm gonna go and seek
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: counsel from that person. That's a humbling thing. It's a
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: beautiful thing as well. Then we're all supposed to the elders,
• 13:20
  Speaker 1: the younger, the experience, the less experience. You're all supposed
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: to close ourselves with humility towards one another. You see
• 13:27
  Speaker 1: how now everything's even out. The ranks really don't make
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: a lot of hold a lot of weight at this
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: point because we're all called to close ourselves with humility
• 13:38
  Speaker 1: towards one another. Tie on the servians apron and that's

  Speaker 1: where I'm at I serve, and this whole thing about, oh,

  Speaker 1: I'm at this point in my life that I don't
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: have to do that type of service anymore. I don't

  Speaker 1: serve no more. I delegate, I do this, I don't

  Speaker 1: do this anymore. Those days are over all that stuff

  Speaker 1: that people say, the arrogance of people when they say

  Speaker 1: that when our Lord and Our Savior himself said, I

  Speaker 1: didn't come to be served, I came to serve our Lord,

  Speaker 1: and I will savior, the Lord Jesus said that, And
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: now we have people going around saying, well, I used
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: to do that. I don't do that no more, and
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: so and so does that, so and so does this.

  Speaker 1: I don't move chairs no more. They walk out of
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: buildings when there's a building project, they walk out of
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: buildings when people are moving chairs or sweeping the mopping.

  Speaker 1: They don't grab a broom anymore. They don't grab a
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: mop anymore because they think they graduated into some kind
• 14:29
  Speaker 1: of I don't know what it is in their mind,
• 14:32
  Speaker 1: but they're being prideful and not being humble by doing that. Well,
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: I don't do this no more. I don't do that
• 14:38
  Speaker 1: no more, because I'm so and so in the church,
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: and all of you clothe yourself with humility toward one another,
• 14:47
  Speaker 1: tie on the servant's apron See that. For God as

  Speaker 1: be on the side of being humble. Amen. And I

  Speaker 1: can't force humility on myself. I can't say I'm humble.

  Speaker 1: I can't be arrogating one sentence and then the next sentence.

  Speaker 1: But I'm humble though our happ humility though, Let's just
• 15:25
  Speaker 1: be who God calls us to be. Let's imitate God.
• 15:28
  Speaker 1: Let's go for what he says in the Word to
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: go for Amen. Let's do this in the word so
• 15:34
  Speaker 1: that way. That way, we don't have to force our
• 15:37
  Speaker 1: way into thinking that we have to be a certain
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: way when we are already who God called us to
• 15:43
  Speaker 1: be because of his word and because of His transformation
• 15:47
  Speaker 1: in our lives. We don't have to make things up.

  Speaker 1: But we have to do what God says. If you

  Speaker 1: want to live an honest, humble life and inspired and
• 15:56
  Speaker 1: the couraged life of faith filled life, right, life of victory,

  Speaker 1: a life of power, a life of prayer. Amen, pride

  Speaker 1: must be replaced by humility, period. Take that pride and
• 16:10
  Speaker 1: replace it with humility. Put on your servants, apron. I
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: love it, Amen, and be ready to serve. You never
• 16:18
  Speaker 1: find me in a place, Amen. And this is just me,
• 16:21
  Speaker 1: and people who know me know this is true, or
• 16:24
  Speaker 1: maybe they don't know. But I serve. It doesn't matter

  Speaker 1: where I'm at. I'll serve. And if I don't have time,

  Speaker 1: whatever time I do have, I'll say, hey, I only
• 16:38
  Speaker 1: got like ten minutes, but what do you want me
• 16:39
  Speaker 1: to do? And then leave. I noticed there's some people
• 16:44
  Speaker 1: in in ministry all around. Did I see that? I
• 16:48
  Speaker 1: even know? I have this thing about I don't do
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: that no more an I know. Earlier in my walk,
• 16:56
  Speaker 1: I was like, I'm very observant today every day. But
• 17:00
  Speaker 1: earlier in my walk, I was new to everything and
• 17:04
  Speaker 1: I was looking at how everybody was moving. Amen. But
• 17:07
  Speaker 1: I was keen on leadership. I said, if they're gonna
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: lead they should be right like servants. And I have
• 17:14
  Speaker 1: the opportunity to see people are in leadership serving the people,
• 17:19
  Speaker 1: serving one another, amen picking up a broom, picking up
• 17:22
  Speaker 1: our mop, even our food serving tables and all that stuff.
• 17:29
  Speaker 1: And I thought that was I thought that was cool
• 17:31
  Speaker 1: because I'm like, Okay, so we're all in this together.
• 17:34
  Speaker 1: It's not I have to look up there and those
• 17:37
  Speaker 1: people and they're gonna look down on me. I said,
• 17:40
  Speaker 1: I had enough of that in corporate America. I'm the
• 17:43
  Speaker 1: boss and you're the employee. This that of the third
• 17:45
  Speaker 1: You have to do what I say, and if you don't,
• 17:48
  Speaker 1: they goes the door, will fire you. That shouldn't be
• 17:51
  Speaker 1: in the church, right. Unfortunately, if you look at I
• 17:54
  Speaker 1: was gonna say the name of the network, but I
• 17:56
  Speaker 1: will leave the network alone. I'll leave it a name
• 17:59
  Speaker 1: for because I respect it. I respect him. But when
• 18:03
  Speaker 1: you look at late night Christian programming, you'll see arrogance
• 18:08
  Speaker 1: and pride all through those broadcasts. And it's almost like
• 18:13
  Speaker 1: I'm here and you're there, right, And I'm like, yeah,
• 18:17
  Speaker 1: that's that's not humble. That's not being humble, that's being prideful.
• 18:22
  Speaker 1: The Bible speaks clearly about the people who are proud.
• 18:24
  Speaker 1: God opposes the problem but gives grace to the humble.
• 18:28
  Speaker 1: I want to be on the humble side. I want
• 18:30
  Speaker 1: the grace of God. Need the grace of God. We
• 18:32
  Speaker 1: all need the grace of God. But it's amazing how
• 18:36
  Speaker 1: the apostle says that we need to clothe ourselves with
• 18:41
  Speaker 1: humility toward one another. Why why do we do that?
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: Because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
• 18:50
  Speaker 1: There's a reason why humility is powerful in the eyes
• 18:54
  Speaker 1: of God. There's the reason why God wants to be humble.
• 18:58
  Speaker 1: He doesn't want to oppose and defeed us and our arrogance.

  Speaker 1: Because when we're arrogant, we're literally telling God and telling
• 19:05
  Speaker 1: other people that we are somebody that you can be,
• 19:09
  Speaker 1: or we are somebody that's in this position. And we
• 19:12
  Speaker 1: no longer do those things that the weaker or the
• 19:15

  Speaker 1: the younger guys in my neighborhood. I wasn't telling them, listen,

  Speaker 1: experienced men and man. Although I was in a man

  Speaker 1: of God. I became a man of God later in

  Speaker 1: life at the age of thirty. But in my twenties

  Speaker 1: and man, we used to respect one another to a

  Speaker 1: point where we followed the elders, the guys that were

  Speaker 1: on the block a little longer than we were, out

  Speaker 1: of respect. So it's already in us to be humble

  Speaker 1: a man but sometimes some people, for whatever reason, get

  Speaker 1: at a certain place even in their spiritual walk as believers,

  Speaker 1: that they feel like they don't have to do xyz

  Speaker 1: anymore because they are, you know, have this mantle and

  Speaker 1: this prophetic thing about them and literally acts for payment

  Speaker 1: for knowing things and prayers. And I see it all

  Speaker 1: on that late night Christian broadcast networks. I will just

  Speaker 1: leave it like that. And man, and it's a shame.

  Speaker 1: They're being very prideful and God's opposing them. So you

  Speaker 1: the question in my mind is like, okay, okay, God,

  Speaker 1: they're arrogating, they're prideful. Why are the ministry is exploding

  Speaker 1: like that? Why they're getting so like so much help
• 21:29
  Speaker 1: and financial breakthroughs and all that. And I believe God

  Speaker 1: tells me in my spirit that that's not going to
• 21:36
  Speaker 1: be of any value when it comes to that end

  Speaker 1: unless they repent. Unless they repent, that what they have

  Speaker 1: now is going to be no value for eternity. In eternity,

  Speaker 1: I was like, Wow, that's that's an eye opener right there.

  Speaker 1: I'm like, ooh, I don't want to be that person,

  Speaker 1: and you don't want to be that person either. Let's

  Speaker 1: be humble and stay humble. Amen. It really is a

  Speaker 1: t attractive to the spirit of God first and foremost

  Speaker 1: for the Kingdom of God. And other people like to

  Speaker 1: see others who are in position that they might feel like,

  Speaker 1: oh wow, SOCOs in a hot position, and they still

  Speaker 1: don't give time for the people to talk to them, right,

  Speaker 1: to serve them, to hear their stories, to hear them out.

  Speaker 1: They're not like surrounded by body guards, and they're like unapproachable. Listen,

  Speaker 1: our God is approachable, So who am I to be unapproachable?

  Speaker 1: That doesn't make any sense, at least to me. So

  Speaker 1: pride must be replaced by humility. How about this one.

  Speaker 1: This is a very famous scripture Philippians, Chapter two, verse three.

  Speaker 1: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or rain conceit, but

  Speaker 1: in humility consider others better than yourselves. Man. And I

  Speaker 1: got that verse early in my walk, but I think
• 22:56
  Speaker 1: I went od on it. I think I went overborn

  Speaker 1: on that is that at one point people started thinking

  Speaker 1: I didn't know anything because I was always propping other

  Speaker 1: people up and say, oh man, that's amazing, that's great,

  Speaker 1: that's great. And they say say, but don't you do this,

  Speaker 1: and don't you do that? Do you DJ and I say, yeah,

  Speaker 1: but you know, and I said, be like two extra
• 23:15
  Speaker 1: on this verse because of his verse saying everybody's better,

  Speaker 1: everybody's better. And then I stopped realizing that God gave

  Speaker 1: me a gift too. Amen. So use your gift and

  Speaker 1: your talent to the greatest ability. God gave you a gift,

  Speaker 1: He gave your talent. He gave your voice to speak. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Speak the truth of God. Amen, and keep it moving.

  Speaker 1: But yeah, don't be pride for him. Be like, I'm

  Speaker 1: the best at this. I'm the best at that. People

  Speaker 1: will compliment your work, people will give you props for

  Speaker 1: what you're doing for the Kingdom of God, and there

  Speaker 1: will be a testimony if you're doing it honestly. Amen,

  Speaker 1: And you're faithful to the kingdom purpose and you're faithful

  Speaker 1: to the Lord Jesus. Amen. What you're doing a secret

  Speaker 1: place matters more than what you're doing public. So what

  Speaker 1: you're doing the secret God senters where He will reward you. Amen.

  Speaker 1: don't have to do that. People, if you're truly walking

  Speaker 1: behalf and say, yeah, that woman of God helped me

  Speaker 1: and this, that the third you won't have to say it,

  Speaker 1: that man of God helped me with this, that the

  Speaker 1: third you won't have to say it. It will be

  Speaker 1: already testimonies about what God is doing in your life

  Speaker 1: and what God is doing in my life. Amen. So

  Speaker 1: that way they could be empowered. The people you help

  Speaker 1: can be empowered to do the same. Amen. And this

  Speaker 1: is authentic commentation. Knowalogy, this is how it works. But

  Speaker 1: be humble, not prideful. Amen. So that way you could

  Speaker 1: get the works of God done in a way that

  Speaker 1: people will give praise to God, not praise to men,

  Speaker 1: not praise to us. Men. Hope begin in this about

  Speaker 1: this one Romans, chapter twelve, verse number three. For by

  Speaker 1: the grace given me, I say to every one of you,

  Speaker 1: do not think of yourself more highly than your oughts,

  Speaker 1: but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance

  Speaker 1: with the measure of faith God has given you. There

  Speaker 1: it is, God gave me a certain measure of faith.

  Speaker 1: So certain things I won't do because I have this

  Speaker 1: self conviction personal conviction. Amen. Some people have problems with

  Speaker 1: the government as brothers and sisters of the Lord. I

  Speaker 1: don't really have the problem about voting in the government
• 25:22
  Speaker 1: like that, So I have to respect people's conviction. People
• 25:25
  Speaker 1: are that I know said I'm not voting because both
• 25:27
  Speaker 1: sides are evil and this whole government is evil, even
• 25:31
  Speaker 1: though there's some truth to that. But on top of
• 25:33
  Speaker 1: that is that God put government into place. So I'm
• 25:37
  Speaker 1: trusting the God who put government in place for his
• 25:40
  Speaker 1: purpose and his plan, and I'm engaging in the government
• 25:43
  Speaker 1: by way of voting, by way of trying to make
• 25:46
  Speaker 1: a difference in my immediate community. Amen, in my city
• 25:50
  Speaker 1: and my borough and my state, trying to make a difference,
• 25:54
  Speaker 1: because we do make differences when we show up in
• 25:57
  Speaker 1: those polls and not like, oh, you know we're in
• 25:59
  Speaker 1: the major No, what's showing up on a purpose, for
• 26:01
  Speaker 1: a purpose or being part of God's plan. God created
• 26:05
  Speaker 1: government for a purpose and a plan and a reason. Amen,
• 26:09
  Speaker 1: And then it's been corrupted. Everybody knows that people corrupted
• 26:15
  Speaker 1: the standard of government that God created the government to do.
• 26:19
  Speaker 1: But he created it. So I'm believing in the Creator
• 26:22
  Speaker 1: over the government. I'm not believing in the government over
• 26:25
  Speaker 1: the Creator. If that makes any sense. But the thing
• 26:28
  Speaker 1: is that Romans twelve three says sober judgment, So rather
• 26:33
  Speaker 1: think of yourself with sober judgment in accordance with the
• 26:36
  Speaker 1: measure of faith God has given you. God has given
• 26:40
  Speaker 1: all of us a measure of faith. That's why you
• 26:43
  Speaker 1: meet people there like man. I know people that I
• 26:46
  Speaker 1: know a man that have such great faith. I walk

  Speaker 1: away from conversations sometimes thinking I'm not even a Christian anymore, Amen,

  Speaker 1: because of their great faith.

  Speaker 2: But I model after that.

  Speaker 1: I try to imitate that, and I try to seek

  Speaker 1: more of God to get to that place where I'm

  Speaker 1: humble and not prideful, and I'm being taught by elders,

  Speaker 1: and I'm teachable, approachable, Amen, and I'm a servant. So
