- 1:40Speaker 10: I'm Jay.
- 1:41Speaker 11: I'm Lucy.
- 1:41Speaker 9: And we're... Coming to you live via digital recording from
- 1:58Speaker 9: a hotel room right now or at some sort of convention.
- 2:00Speaker 12: We'd shower me nameless.
- 2:01Speaker 13: Because they're jerks.
- 2:02Speaker 12: Because they won't respond to anything we say.
- 2:05Speaker 10: Anyway, we've decided to head out to the said convention and.
- 2:12Speaker 13: Right now we're in Randy's room because Randy's awesome.
- 2:14Speaker 10: Yeah, Randy let us. Thank you, Randy.
- 2:16Speaker 12: He let us take over his room. Actually, they were
- 2:19Speaker 12: wandering off anyway. Otherwise, I would have made him tell
- 2:21Speaker 12: his Geek Week stuff.
- 2:22Speaker 13: Randy's the best. Lisa's awesome.
- 2:24Speaker 12: Lisa is awesome as well. They're both pretty damn awesome,
- 2:27Speaker 12: and they let us take over their room while they're
- 2:29Speaker 12: not looking.
- 2:30Speaker 13: And their food.
- 2:31Speaker 12: And we're going to touch all their stuff while they're
- 2:32Speaker 12: not looking. And I told them I'm going.
- 2:34Speaker 10: To steal the light bulbs.
- 2:35Speaker 13: And the sheets.
- 2:37Speaker 10: Possibly the sheets, but it depends.
- 2:39Speaker 13: You're going to lick all the jerky.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Maybe. Maybe.
- 2:42Speaker 12: But Jay already ate most of it, so it's okay.
- 2:45Speaker 13: He already commandeered two bags. Big ass bags.
- 2:49Speaker 5: So?
- 2:50Speaker 13: Our house is going to smell like jerky. You are
- 2:52Speaker 13: going to smell like jerky for the next month and
- 2:54Speaker 13: a half.
- 2:55Speaker 10: So what?
- 2:57Speaker 14: All right.
- 2:58Speaker 13: Randy's awesome. Lisa's awesome. They're both equally awesome.
- 3:01Speaker 15: You guys are awesome.
- 3:02Speaker 13: Yeah, I just met them and I can already tell
- 3:03Speaker 13: they're awesome.
- 3:04Speaker 10: Can't argue with any of that. This episode brought to
- 3:07Speaker 10: you by Randy and Lisa. We should just start commercials
- 3:09Speaker 10: for them.
- 3:10Speaker 15: They're the best.
- 3:11Speaker 16: I don't like to pick favorites, but Randy and Lisa
- 3:16Speaker 16: are my favorite listeners.
- 3:17Speaker 10: I've told all the other listeners, and Randy actually himself
- 3:21Speaker 10: has said it doesn't take much. Just a little effort
- 3:25Speaker 10: and you can move right to the head of the pack.
- 3:28Speaker 13: I don't think so. Randy's giving me stuff.
- 3:30Speaker 10: That's what I'm saying. Randy's setting the bar kind of high.
- 3:32Speaker 10: But in general, we've got a nice core group of
- 3:35Speaker 10: the upper echelons of the Secret Circle.
- 3:40Speaker 13: Randy gave me a Star Trek book. Until somebody out
- 3:42Speaker 13: there can beat that, Randy's my favorite. Because it's a
- 3:45Speaker 13: Star Trek book and it has pictures. A lot of pictures.
- 3:48Speaker 10: We had someone else join the Secret Circle this past week, so...
- 3:52Speaker 10: We're moving right along. We're getting our core group of
- 3:55Speaker 10: hardcore fans together, so we appreciate all of them.
- 3:58Speaker 13: We're up to, what, three now?
- 3:59Speaker 10: A couple more. And then we will, yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Three and a half.
- 4:07Speaker 13: Leave that midget alone.
- 4:08Speaker 10: Huh?
- 4:09Speaker 4: Never mind.
- 4:09Speaker 15: Does he live in our neighborhood?
- 4:11Speaker 13: We have a midget in our neighborhood, too. This is
- 4:13Speaker 13: quite the colorful neighborhood.
- 4:14Speaker 15: Yeah, he's going to be my best friend, but he
- 4:16Speaker 15: doesn't know it yet.
- 4:17Speaker 13: You and fake Thelvin and the midget are going to
- 4:18Speaker 13: have card game Tuesdays.
- 4:19Speaker 15: Hell yeah!
- 4:22Speaker 10: Sorry.
- 4:22Speaker 15: I'm going to play poker as soon as I learn
- 4:24Speaker 15: how to play.
- 4:24Speaker 13: I think Goldman can teach you.
- 4:28Speaker 10: Yeah, he can.
- 4:29Speaker 13: I bet he knows.
- 4:30Speaker 15: He probably does.
- 4:32Speaker 16: Secret Circle, they're awesome. Who was our newest, most awesomest member?
- 4:37Speaker 10: He just hadn't officially taken over as a member. He'd
- 4:40Speaker 10: already been in the circle as far as I was concerned.
- 4:42Speaker 10: Who is it? James.
- 4:45Speaker 13: James who?
- 4:46Speaker 10: I'm not outing him on this show.
- 4:48Speaker 13: I don't know if he had another name.
- 4:50Speaker 10: He used to be Eskimo.
- 4:51Speaker 13: Okay, you can just tell me that because I'm more
- 4:54Speaker 13: familiar with that. He's awesome.
- 4:57Speaker 10: He is awesome and he's always kind of been in
- 4:59Speaker 10: the circle, but I think he just didn't know of
- 5:01Speaker 10: the new facet of the circle. So he can get
- 5:04Speaker 10: fabulous photos of My dog's napping or whatever happens.
- 5:09Speaker 13: Winchester at Graceland?
- 5:10Speaker 10: Winchester at Graceland. There you go. There's a new one.
- 5:12Speaker 10: Have you taken your Winchester shots here? Did you get
- 5:14Speaker 10: him with, like, Alex Winter? You should have just gotten
- 5:16Speaker 10: shots of Winchester with everybody.
- 5:18Speaker 13: He's in my purse. You can see him. The way
- 5:21Speaker 13: I'm standing, it looks like I have to pee.
- 5:22Speaker 10: Maybe you did. Maybe you did.
- 5:27Speaker 16: Do you need to get pictures of Winchester, like, raiding
- 5:30Speaker 16: Randy's food over there?
- 5:31Speaker 5: Yes.
- 5:32Speaker 13: What the hell? I've got to ask, what the fuck
- 5:34Speaker 13: is that sitting over there?
- 5:35Speaker 12: This thing?
- 5:35Speaker 13: Yes, that thing.
- 5:36Speaker 10: They're kiwis.
- 5:37Speaker 13: Is that a kiwi?
- 5:38Speaker 12: It's a kiwi.
- 5:39Speaker 13: Are you sure?
- 5:39Speaker 5: Yes.
- 5:40Speaker 17: Okay.
- 5:41Speaker 13: Do I need a picture of Winchester with some kiwi?
- 5:43Speaker 15: I don't think Winchester likes kiwis.
- 5:44Speaker 13: You don't know what Winchester likes.
- 5:46Speaker 15: He's a fucking werewolf. He doesn't like kiwis.
- 5:48Speaker 13: You don't know? Why can't werewolves like fucking kiwis?
- 5:51Speaker 15: I don't know. Because they're fuzzy.
- 5:53Speaker 13: So are werewolves.
- 5:55Speaker 15: Doesn't mean they want to eat other werewolves.
- 5:56Speaker 5: You don't know.
- 5:58Speaker 13: Cannibals.
- 6:00Speaker 5: All right.
- 6:02Speaker 15: James is awesome. Why am I talking about this?
- 6:04Speaker 10: Because you've met her before.
- 6:08Speaker 15: I know. These are the conversations that go on in
- 6:11Speaker 15: our house.
- 6:11Speaker 10: Yeah. No doubt about that.
- 6:14Speaker 13: You don't know what Winchester likes. You don't know Winchester.
- 6:17Speaker 15: I don't.
- 6:18Speaker 10: I really don't.
- 6:21Speaker 13: You're sitting by Winchester. He's on the other side of you.
- 6:24Speaker 10: He might attack. Be careful.
- 6:27Speaker 13: I'm totally in bed with a mirror wall.
- 6:29Speaker 10: That's pretty awesome. He's not wearing any pants either.
- 6:36Speaker 15: I thought you were going to make him some pants.
- 6:37Speaker 15: I was going to make him some pants, but I
- 6:38Speaker 15: haven't yet.
- 6:39Speaker 13: What are the origins of, I don't know anything about.
- 6:42Speaker 13: He came from Walmart.
- 6:43Speaker 15: He's just pretty awesome.
- 6:45Speaker 13: He's one pissed off looking werewolf, and I love him.
- 6:47Speaker 15: It's like, it's during Halloween, they had all the, they had,
- 6:50Speaker 15: what did they have, werewolf? They had the mummy, Frankenstein.
- 6:54Speaker 13: Dracula.
- 6:55Speaker 10: They didn't have a Dracula, they had a witch.
- 6:57Speaker 15: Witch, but they all looked too happy. They were just.
- 7:00Speaker 13: Like, hee hee.
- 7:03Speaker 15: And then you get to Winchester and he just.
- 7:06Speaker 13: Looks fucking angry. I'm not seeing teeth. Pull his head
- 7:10Speaker 13: up a little bit.
- 7:13Speaker 10: Oh, he's pissed.
- 7:14Speaker 13: He's not happy. The evil slant of his eye. Okay,
- 7:21Speaker 13: that's kind of fantastic.
- 7:22Speaker 18: How long has Winchester been with you?
- 7:23Speaker 13: Before Halloween.
- 7:26Speaker 10: Oh, so he's new.
- 7:27Speaker 13: Yeah, I just got him. We watch Supernatural together.
- 7:30Speaker 15: That's your Supernatural buddy.
- 7:33Speaker 13: That's why his name's Winchester.
- 7:34Speaker 16: Because their name on there is Sam and Dean Winchester.
- 7:38Speaker 10: Okay, go ahead. This is awesome.
- 7:41Speaker 18: Yes, yes.
- 7:42Speaker 10: We'll definitely have to put a Winchester photo in there
- 7:44Speaker 10: for the Secret Circle. So if you yourself haven't joined
- 7:47Speaker 10: the Secret Circle... It's not even like it costs anything.
- 7:50Speaker 10: Just email us, for God's sakes. You Facebook peoples, of
- 7:54Speaker 10: which there are many now, so we have a lot
- 7:56Speaker 10: of friends. We just need them to all, you know,
- 7:58Speaker 10: be in our secret circle. Forward the link on this.
- 8:01Speaker 10: It's pretty much all you gotta do, damn it. It
- 8:03Speaker 10: doesn't cost anything.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Alright, so.
- 8:05Speaker 10: What's free?
- 8:05Speaker 13: What's better than free, you fuckers?
- 8:07Speaker 16: Come on.
- 8:09Speaker 10: Nothing better than free. On that note, yeah, go ahead
- 8:12Speaker 10: and email us on the Twitters and the Facebook and
- 8:15Speaker 10: let us know you want to be part of the
- 8:16Speaker 10: secret circle. All right, with that, we have not done
- 8:19Speaker 10: a buzz in quite a while.
- 8:21Speaker 13: What is the buzz? What is it happening?
- 8:23Speaker 10: I think it's time for What's the Buzz? A few
- 8:36Speaker 10: of these I had to write down, and we're working
- 8:37Speaker 10: on very limited resources here. I had to use a
- 8:40Speaker 10: pencil and a piece of paper.
- 8:42Speaker 13: Pencil?
- 8:43Speaker 10: There's not even internet involved in this process right now.
- 8:45Speaker 10: It's crazy. crazy yeah where is your laptop it's barely
- 8:50Speaker 10: functional send more funds what needs to be upgraded send
- 8:54Speaker 10: more funds so.
- 8:56Speaker 15: Downloading that porn send more funds well yeah that's what
- 8:59Speaker 15: laptops are for right.
- 9:01Speaker 10: So yeah with that um it wouldn't matter i wouldn't
- 9:04Speaker 10: drug it all the way over here anyway so i hate.
- 9:06Speaker 13: Pencils i just want you to know I hate the
- 9:08Speaker 13: sound they make.
- 9:09Speaker 10: It's mechanical.
- 9:10Speaker 13: It's even more awesome. I hate the sound of lead
- 9:12Speaker 13: on paper. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard.
- 9:17Speaker 10: I don't need a hobby. I got my hatred.
- 9:19Speaker 5: It's okay.
- 9:20Speaker 13: Ah, stop it.
- 9:22Speaker 15: That's fine.
- 9:23Speaker 10: It sounds like it.
- 9:24Speaker 13: Unless the eraser sound.
- 9:25Speaker 14: It's okay.
- 9:27Speaker 13: Okay, pencil and paper.
- 9:29Speaker 10: So with that, I saw a few today, one of
- 9:31Speaker 10: which in particular I figured you... Misty, if no one
- 9:34Speaker 10: else need to comment on it.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 9:37Speaker 10: So, have you seen that they have now narrowed down
- 9:40Speaker 10: their villain for the new Star Trek 2? I did.
- 9:44Speaker 13: It's Poopface, isn't.
- 9:48Speaker 16: It?
- 9:48Speaker 18: Who?
- 9:49Speaker 15: Casper?
- 9:50Speaker 10: Only hardcore listeners of our show will know why you
- 9:53Speaker 10: just said that.
- 9:54Speaker 15: Oh, Del Toro?
- 9:55Speaker 5: Yes!
- 9:55Speaker 10: Benicio Del Toro has been chosen as the villain in
- 9:59Speaker 10: the new Star Trek movie.
- 10:01Speaker 13: Wait, I'm sorry.
- 10:01Speaker 10: All right, we're going to flash back to him. Yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 10: hold on. Go ahead.
- 10:09Speaker 19: I just love that that's your poop face impersonation poop
- 10:13Speaker 19: face not my poop face that you.
- 10:16Speaker 13: Somehow equate that with it.
- 10:18Speaker 10: Just looks like he's gotta go poop really bad.
- 10:21Speaker 18: He's doing her interpretation of Benicio del Toro it was
- 10:23Speaker 18: a really good impression.
- 10:24Speaker 13: You gotta look up at the same time you gotta
- 10:26Speaker 13: like slowly That's actually kind of uncanny. It's funny.
- 10:31Speaker 10: Everybody thinks you're pretty good at that, I have to say.
- 10:33Speaker 10: Everybody goes in kind of leery, and they're just.
- 10:34Speaker 14: Like, no, no, damn.
- 10:35Speaker 13: It delivers. All right.
- 10:38Speaker 15: And she nailed it.
- 10:38Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 10:40Speaker 13: Still half up.
- 10:40Speaker 15: Still landing.
- 10:43Speaker 10: So, what are your thoughts on that other than your impersonation?
- 10:45Speaker 5: I don't like it.
- 10:46Speaker 13: He's going to make poop face all through Star Trek.
- 10:49Speaker 13: He's going to distract from Chris Pine being hot.
- 10:51Speaker 10: He's done many, many other good performances before he learned
- 10:55Speaker 10: that face.
- 10:56Speaker 13: If he's going to flip it for real. Because if
- 11:00Speaker 13: he tries to flip Chris Pine for real.
- 11:04Speaker 10: That would be awesome, actually. He's looking at her. She's
- 11:08Speaker 10: got the cool thing in her ear. Can you hear
- 11:09Speaker 10: me in the back? Can you hear me in the back?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Flippy.
- 11:12Speaker 10: I don't fuck that. Flippy Buri.
- 11:14Speaker 13: That's a fucking thing.
- 11:16Speaker 1: God.
- 11:16Speaker 13: I love him in that movie. But he makes poop
- 11:18Speaker 13: face in that movie, too.
- 11:19Speaker 10: Well, maybe that's because he needs somebody's finger in his asshole.
- 11:23Speaker 13: If we're doing Usual Suspects, damn it.
- 11:28Speaker 10: What is it? Tuesday night? All right. That's usual suspects,
- 11:38Speaker 10: damn it. All right, so you don't like this idea?
- 11:42Speaker 10: Is that what you're saying?
- 11:42Speaker 13: I don't think I like it one bit.
- 11:45Speaker 10: They have not named who he's supposed to be. He's
- 11:48Speaker 10: going to be Khan.
- 11:49Speaker 15: You know he is.
- 11:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 10: So, I mean, really, they've gone to the trouble of
- 11:54Speaker 10: also casting another Latino actor or of some sort of
- 11:59Speaker 10: Latino origin. So, yeah, it is odd that they just randomly,
- 12:04Speaker 10: I mean, in a town that casts.
- 12:05Speaker 15: George Lopez?
- 12:06Speaker 13: I hate George Lopez.
- 12:07Speaker 10: In a town that casts nothing but white people, that
- 12:09Speaker 10: they would bother to cast the villain in part two
- 12:11Speaker 10: as someone who could also be of sort of that same.
- 12:15Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm really not happy with Benicio Del Toro anymore.
- 12:18Speaker 8: He's getting old, and he needs to go make a
- 12:21Speaker 8: poop face. And he's constipated. Do you think that's the problem?
- 12:24Speaker 10: I'm telling you.
- 12:25Speaker 13: Maybe he should get a big poop out. Maybe he'd
- 12:28Speaker 13: feel better and he'd quit making that face.
- 12:32Speaker 10: Do you have any non-biological function comments about this casting?
- 12:41Speaker 18: I saw an interview, I think it was with Allie Larder,
- 12:44Speaker 18: and she told this great Benicio Del Toro story, and
- 12:46Speaker 18: that's the only story, that's the thing that pops into
- 12:48Speaker 18: my mind whenever anybody says his name. But she was
- 12:50Speaker 18: just talking about how when she moved out to Los
- 12:52Speaker 18: Angeles the first time, she was, like, in this hotel,
- 12:54Speaker 18: and she was at the bar, and I guess he
- 12:56Speaker 18: was just an unusual suspect, and so he was having
- 12:58Speaker 18: his moment, and he was sort of famous, and he
- 13:00Speaker 18: just walked up and put his room key down in
- 13:02Speaker 18: front of her and said, here you go, and walked away,
- 13:05Speaker 18: because she was just supposed to take it and go
- 13:06Speaker 18: on upstairs.
- 13:07Speaker 12: And she did.
- 13:09Speaker 18: I think if she had, she wouldn't have told the
- 13:11Speaker 18: story on Jalen or wherever it was. I like it
- 13:13Speaker 18: when people tell stories they're not supposed to tell, though,
- 13:15Speaker 18: like really publicly.
- 13:16Speaker 10: Yeah, but you know, you really just change the end
- 13:18Speaker 10: to make yourself look good. Yeah, so I walked right
- 13:21Speaker 10: out of there.
- 13:22Speaker 13: I tell stories like that all the time.
- 13:25Speaker 18: So yeah, that's all that hops into my brain when
- 13:27Speaker 18: you said that, and that's disturbing. I don't know.
- 13:30Speaker 10: At one point, he was actually a very good actor.
- 13:33Speaker 10: I'd like to see him return to that.
- 13:36Speaker 13: He's been a good actor twice, right? The other time.
- 13:40Speaker 13: He was good in Snatch.
- 13:41Speaker 10: He was great in Traffic.
- 13:43Speaker 13: I'm also thinking Excess Baggage.
- 13:45Speaker 10: Sadly, I was just thinking, what's that?
- 13:47Speaker 13: It's called Excess Baggage. It's got Alicia Silverstone in it.
- 13:52Speaker 15: It sure does.
- 13:52Speaker 10: I love that movie.
- 13:55Speaker 20: Oh, yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 18: I'm pretty sure he just was in that movie because
- 13:57Speaker 18: she was hot. That's when he should have been looking
- 14:00Speaker 18: for good roles and sort of parlaying usual suspects into
- 14:04Speaker 18: something profound.
- 14:04Speaker 10: I think there was a room key involved in it.
- 14:06Speaker 15: Maybe that was his downfall, too many room keys. People
- 14:09Speaker 15: were like, dude, don't.
- 14:10Speaker 14: Yeah, no.
- 14:11Speaker 15: Stop it.
- 14:12Speaker 16: My cousin was so in love with Alicia Silverstone, I
- 14:14Speaker 16: had to watch the Aerosmith movie. crying and crazy videos
- 14:19Speaker 16: repeatedly over and over.
- 14:21Speaker 10: And over crazier amazing.
- 14:24Speaker 16: All three of them actually crazy crying and there's three
- 14:27Speaker 16: videos crazy crying and amazing crazy was first no crying
- 14:35Speaker 16: was first it had steven dorf in it which is
- 14:37Speaker 16: the one.
- 14:37Speaker 18: With the london brother Wasn't there a London Brother in
- 14:40Speaker 18: one of them? Did I just make up an Aerosmith
- 14:42Speaker 18: video in my head? With a London Brother?
- 14:45Speaker 10: You can find better things to do with your brain
- 14:47Speaker 10: than make up Aerosmith videos.
- 14:49Speaker 13: It's crying, amazing, and then crazy.
- 14:53Speaker 18: Right?
- 14:53Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 14:55Speaker 16: Yeah, crazy was the last one they did. That was
- 14:57Speaker 16: when they had Liv Tyler in the fucking tractor. And
- 15:00Speaker 16: they spelled that crazy in the fucking corn. I don't
- 15:02Speaker 16: know what I'm talking about. Jesus fucking Christ.
- 15:05Speaker 10: I don't doubt your knowledge of Aerosmith.
- 15:06Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm not going to challenge you on this.
- 15:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 15:09Speaker 10: Oh, okay.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Oh, Lord.
- 15:10Speaker 13: Boyfriend's about ready to crash. He's going to need coffee
- 15:14Speaker 13: on the way home.
- 15:15Speaker 15: I'm going to have a two-hour drive ahead of me, too.
- 15:19Speaker 10: All right, then let's escape from Inicio. So did you
- 15:22Speaker 10: hear the, this was actually last week, they cast, or
- 15:26Speaker 10: are working on, potentially, Jennifer Lopez starring in Where in
- 15:30Speaker 10: the World is Carmen Sandiego?
- 15:32Speaker 15: Okay, there's a movie I don't care about seeing.
- 15:35Speaker 13: It's just going to be too easy to spot. They
- 15:37Speaker 13: just didn't look for a big old ass.
- 15:38Speaker 10: I was waiting for it. I was like, all right,
- 15:41Speaker 10: where in the world is her giant Lopez ass?
- 15:44Speaker 13: That red coat can't hide that shit.
- 15:45Speaker 20: No, no.
- 15:46Speaker 15: I didn't even care about the TV show.
- 15:49Speaker 10: I don't think kids did either.
- 15:50Speaker 15: No, they didn't.
- 15:51Speaker 10: Kids are smart. They can go, this is educational. You're
- 15:53Speaker 10: not tricking me.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 15: That's what my kid, I tried to pawn her off a,
- 15:57Speaker 15: what was it, a DS math game. And she was like,
- 16:00Speaker 15: this is the worst game ever. I was like, you
- 16:02Speaker 15: haven't even played it. She goes, it's got math in it.
- 16:04Speaker 15: And I was like, You got a point.
- 16:07Speaker 10: Yeah, you're right.
- 16:09Speaker 17: Damn it.
- 16:10Speaker 10: So that one actually didn't surprise me. At least there
- 16:13Speaker 10: was some sort of plot in that. I mean, they
- 16:15Speaker 10: did make a whole animated series out of it. It
- 16:17Speaker 10: had some sort of storyline to it. This week, MGM
- 16:22Speaker 10: announced they are obtaining the rights to a live-action Where's
- 16:26Speaker 10: Waldo movie.
- 16:27Speaker 15: Oh, yeah, there's another one we need.
- 16:28Speaker 13: Is that going to be starring Shia LaBeouf?
- 16:31Speaker 10: In a red and white straight pad.
- 16:33Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 16:33Speaker 13: I don't know if I can picture doing that.
- 16:36Speaker 21: Oh, God.
- 16:37Speaker 13: David Tennant. Which is weird, because I like David Tennant.
- 16:40Speaker 13: But I can picture him wearing that.
- 16:43Speaker 5: What? What?
- 16:44Speaker 13: What? You're looking at me like I said something wrong.
- 16:47Speaker 10: No, I'm just.
- 16:48Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 16:49Speaker 10: I'm more upset about Where's Waldo as a movie. I just.
- 16:53Speaker 15: How do you make a movie about it?
- 16:54Speaker 10: That's what I'm saying. Like, at least there's a storyline.
- 16:56Speaker 15: Is there just a bunch of people and then you're
- 16:59Speaker 15: in the theater and you're like.
- 17:00Speaker 10: I see it! You just sit there for two hours
- 17:02Speaker 10: and go, no, no. Oh, there's a red and white.
- 17:04Speaker 15: Oh, no.
- 17:05Speaker 10: Damn it. They always put those other red and white
- 17:07Speaker 10: things in there.
- 17:07Speaker 13: It's really off.
- 17:08Speaker 15: That's a barber pole.
- 17:09Speaker 10: Son of a bitch. Is this a whole movie? A
- 17:14Speaker 10: beach ball. So, yeah, I just, that was so ridiculous.
- 17:18Speaker 10: I was like, yeah, we need to.
- 17:20Speaker 15: Well, they made a movie about Rock'em Sock'em Robots.
- 17:23Speaker 10: Why not Waldo? And it was a heartwarming tale from
- 17:26Speaker 10: what I hear.
- 17:26Speaker 13: What movie about Rock'em Sock'em Robots?
- 17:28Speaker 10: Real Steel.
- 17:30Speaker 13: That was based on a Twilight Zone episode.
- 17:32Speaker 10: Oh, was it? Still Rock'em Sock'em Robots. It was a
- 17:35Speaker 10: Twilight Zone.
- 17:35Speaker 13: Episode called Steel, and the episode wasn't bad. It was
- 17:39Speaker 13: a Twilight Zone.
- 17:40Speaker 10: Was it written by Richard Matheson?
- 17:41Speaker 13: I don't remember.
- 17:42Speaker 10: We'll get to him next week. Okay, so, yeah, any
- 17:46Speaker 10: final thoughts on Waldo?
- 17:47Speaker 15: Fuck that movie.
- 17:48Speaker 13: I'm not going to watch it. I hate Shia LaBeouf.
- 17:53Speaker 15: I'm not going to pay money to go see that movie.
- 17:57Speaker 13: I think it could be great.
- 18:01Speaker 10: You're just being a contrarian.
- 18:03Speaker 13: I'm just being the contrarian.
- 18:06Speaker 10: Well, this one sounded like it was going to be
- 18:08Speaker 10: a horrible idea, then I kind of changed my mind.
- 18:11Speaker 10: Once again, our friends at MGM are in negotiations to
- 18:15Speaker 10: get the rights to Killer Pizza, a novel by Greg Taylor.
- 18:20Speaker 15: You know, with a name like that, I could get
- 18:21Speaker 15: behind that.
- 18:22Speaker 10: That was the thing. Then I read the synopsis about
- 18:25Speaker 10: a 14-year-old boy who gets a summer job at a
- 18:28Speaker 10: pizza place that's actually a front for a monster hunting enterprise.
- 18:34Speaker 15: Sounds kind of cool.
- 18:35Speaker 10: I'm already like, okay, this could be cool.
- 18:37Speaker 15: This is like Monster Squad, teenage years.
- 18:39Speaker 10: Which they need to update, obviously. It's been more than
- 18:43Speaker 10: five minutes and they haven't done a remake yet.
- 18:44Speaker 15: I love that movie. That movie's awesome.
- 18:46Speaker 10: So, yeah, Chris Columbus is set as producer, but directing
- 18:50Speaker 10: is likely to be Adam Green. Which I thought, actually,
- 18:55Speaker 10: giving Adam Green something called Killer Pizza?
- 18:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:59Speaker 10: Could be okay, actually.
- 19:00Speaker 13: Who's Adam Green?
- 19:01Speaker 5: Hatchet.
- 19:01Speaker 10: Hatchet 2.
- 19:02Speaker 13: Yeah, I love the first one. I haven't seen the
- 19:04Speaker 13: second one yet, though.
- 19:05Speaker 10: I think he's gotten a little better as time's gone on.
- 19:07Speaker 15: I have no comments.
- 19:09Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 19:10Speaker 10: I think giving Adam Green that property... Well.
- 19:12Speaker 15: No, I don't know enough about Adam Green, so I
- 19:14Speaker 15: can't really comment on it.
- 19:15Speaker 13: It's never stopped me before.
- 19:16Speaker 10: He's made another movie, but you'll just complain about that one.
- 19:19Speaker 15: Which one is it?
- 19:20Speaker 10: He also did Frozen. Oh, fuck that movie. I think
- 19:24Speaker 10: that's a good movie. They make ridiculous decisions along the way,
- 19:27Speaker 10: but I think it's better made than Hatchet, actually.
- 19:30Speaker 13: I liked Hatchet better. Hatchet was more fun.
- 19:32Speaker 10: Hatchet was fun, but it wasn't really.
- 19:34Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 19:35Speaker 10: I had issues with the killer. I think a lot
- 19:37Speaker 10: of that stuff was kind of just dragging out the
- 19:41Speaker 10: same shit we've seen a million times in the 80s,
- 19:44Speaker 10: where at least Frozen was a ridiculously interesting idea, and
- 19:48Speaker 10: it automatically made people start talking about it and screaming
- 19:51Speaker 10: at the TV, and there's something to that. I mean,
- 19:53Speaker 10: the fact that any movie can do that, I don't know.
- 19:57Speaker 15: Make you angry?
- 19:58Speaker 10: Not just angry, but it also makes you go, no,
- 20:00Speaker 10: that's not what I do. Here's what I do. Like,
- 20:02Speaker 10: everybody has their take on what they would do and
- 20:05Speaker 10: how they would, you know.
- 20:06Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 20:07Speaker 10: Any movie that can make you question... What you would
- 20:10Speaker 10: do in that situation, I think, is an interesting movie.
- 20:13Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 10: What is the premise?
- 20:14Speaker 13: I'm actually not familiar with Frozen.
- 20:16Speaker 10: Frozen, they go up to a ski slope, and they
- 20:19Speaker 10: get stuck midway through on the ski lift.
- 20:21Speaker 13: It's the very end of the day.
- 20:22Speaker 10: And it's the end of the day, and everybody goes home,
- 20:24Speaker 10: and they turn out the lights, and it's a holiday weekend,
- 20:26Speaker 10: and they won't be back for, what, three days or
- 20:29Speaker 10: a week or something?
- 20:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:30Speaker 10: And they're stuck there.
- 20:32Speaker 13: Wow. In the icy cold.
- 20:34Speaker 10: I mean right there already you're like okay I kind
- 20:37Speaker 10: of want to see this movie I mean it leaves
- 20:39Speaker 10: you even if you don't like what they do along
- 20:41Speaker 10: the way I think that one was a more impressive
- 20:44Speaker 10: movie Hatchet was just another slasher it was fun I
- 20:48Speaker 10: like the comedy in Hatchet I didn't really think the
- 20:50Speaker 10: slasher was anything original but I.
- 20:53Speaker 19: Don't know some of the deaths were pretty fun they
- 20:55Speaker 19: were fun yeah again it was fun I liked it
- 20:58Speaker 19: I enjoyed the movie I just didn't think it was
- 21:00Speaker 19: as promising as Frozen Frozen was actually kind of well
- 21:03Speaker 19: put together so I don't know.
- 21:06Speaker 13: In Hatchet, you see Harmony from Buffy's Boys.
- 21:09Speaker 10: Yeah, well, that kind of disturbed me, actually. It did
- 21:11Speaker 10: a little bit.
- 21:12Speaker 16: I didn't.
- 21:12Speaker 10: I don't think I was ready to see those. And
- 21:14Speaker 10: then I saw them, and I was like, I really
- 21:16Speaker 10: don't need to see them.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:17Speaker 10: Please put your shirt back on.
- 21:18Speaker 15: Which one was Harmony?
- 21:20Speaker 13: Harmony.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Harmony.
- 21:21Speaker 13: Oh, my good God.
- 21:22Speaker 15: All right, you know what?
- 21:23Speaker 16: Harmony was Cordelia's friend.
- 21:26Speaker 14: Harmony.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Blonde.
- 21:28Speaker 13: Turned into a vampire.
- 21:28Speaker 15: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right. She was with Spike
- 21:31Speaker 15: for a while.
- 21:31Speaker 13: Called him Blondie Bear.
- 21:32Speaker 15: Yeah, that's right. Okay, I can't remember now.
- 21:36Speaker 10: Oh, I don't know. Killer Pizza. The jury's still out
- 21:39Speaker 10: on that one. It's got more potential.
- 21:41Speaker 13: It might not suck.
- 21:41Speaker 10: It's got more potential than a lot of this stuff.
- 21:43Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 21:43Speaker 15: The name, like, Killer Pizza, I'd probably watch that.
- 21:46Speaker 10: That's what I'm thinking. It's kind of like, you know.
- 21:48Speaker 13: Would you pay to see it, or would you wait
- 21:50Speaker 13: until it's on television?
- 21:51Speaker 5: Oh, fuck.
- 21:51Speaker 15: I don't pay for anything. You know what, right?
- 21:54Speaker 10: Maybe they're just going to make it a sequel to
- 21:57Speaker 10: Mystic Pizza.
- 21:59Speaker 13: That would be horrible. Or like an Attack of the
- 22:00Speaker 13: Killer Tomatoes Mystic. Pizza hybrid.
- 22:03Speaker 16: Yes.
- 22:04Speaker 15: Starring Pizza the Hut.
- 22:05Speaker 10: We can jam all these together.
- 22:07Speaker 16: You know, you're saying all this, they're going to steal it.
- 22:09Speaker 8: Oh, damn.
- 22:11Speaker 10: We come up with the best ideas, don't we?
- 22:13Speaker 13: I just want Annabeth Gish back.
- 22:15Speaker 10: Yeah, she's pretty damn awesome. Happened to her career. She
- 22:19Speaker 10: did the X-Files and it killed it. Who?
- 22:21Speaker 13: Annabeth Gish.
- 22:22Speaker 15: I don't know who that is.
- 22:24Speaker 13: You're not missing much.
- 22:25Speaker 16: Ouch.
- 22:25Speaker 10: I like Annabeth Gish.
- 22:26Speaker 15: This is not comfortable.
- 22:29Speaker 10: All right, so the other one here... I don't know
- 22:32Speaker 10: what to think about this. Speaking of slashers, this one
- 22:35Speaker 10: is the remake of Maniac. They have cast the lead
- 22:41Speaker 10: role as the serial killer Zito in the remake of
- 22:44Speaker 10: the 1980s slasher Maniac. Would you like to know who
- 22:48Speaker 10: it is? Would you like to take a guess who
- 22:50Speaker 10: it is?
- 22:50Speaker 13: I know who it is. I forgot already.
- 22:52Speaker 10: Well, it's not.
- 22:54Speaker 13: Not Shia LaBeouf.
- 22:54Speaker 10: Shia LaBeouf, your favorite guy.
- 22:56Speaker 15: Seth Rogen.
- 22:58Speaker 13: I could think of it, but it would take me
- 22:59Speaker 13: a while. I don't have that much time.
- 23:01Speaker 10: I like this person, but I question the judgment on
- 23:04Speaker 10: this one. They have cast Elijah Wood.
- 23:06Speaker 13: There we go. That's what it was.
- 23:08Speaker 5: Wow.
- 23:09Speaker 10: Yeah. That's a puzzler. That's odd.
- 23:12Speaker 15: It could work. It could either be really good or
- 23:15Speaker 15: really bad. Robin Williams is a serial killer.
- 23:19Speaker 10: What they said about what they had the most problem
- 23:21Speaker 10: with in the story was the fact that the lead
- 23:23Speaker 10: in that one is like a 40-something overweight Italian guy,
- 23:28Speaker 10: none of which really fits him. So I was just like, Okay,
- 23:31Speaker 10: from that angle, but if they're going to do something
- 23:34Speaker 10: totally original with it, I have to say, I've had
- 23:38Speaker 10: him surprise me in that area before, in Sin City.
- 23:41Speaker 15: Yeah, he was good in Sin City.
- 23:42Speaker 10: He was fucking hardcore.
- 23:43Speaker 13: I don't want him to surprise me in any area.
- 23:45Speaker 15: He was a cold-blooded killer in Sin City, and I
- 23:48Speaker 15: bought it.
- 23:48Speaker 10: Really creepy, and it fit sort of his weird, you know,
- 23:53Speaker 10: he has the personality that doesn't seem like it would
- 23:55Speaker 10: be that, so it kind of is a good cover,
- 23:56Speaker 10: so I think it could go okay. If they just
- 24:01Speaker 10: decide to do something entirely different with it, if they
- 24:04Speaker 10: put their own spin on it and do something original,
- 24:07Speaker 10: if they just try to do a straight remake and
- 24:10Speaker 10: put him in that role, I'm not so sure about that.
- 24:13Speaker 10: Ajah is the co-writer on it, but it's directed by,
- 24:16Speaker 10: I'm not even going to try to pronounce his last name,
- 24:18Speaker 10: but he is the director who brought us P2.
- 24:20Speaker 13: I haven't seen that one.
- 24:22Speaker 10: I've avoided that one, too. I haven't seen P1.
- 24:28Speaker 19: I don't know yeah I don't really know about P-Zero the.
- 24:31Speaker 17: Prequel negative one that only works on rain I'm sorry
- 24:35Speaker 17: basement basement what a dork so yeah I don't know
- 24:43Speaker 17: this again the fact that they're even doing a remake
- 24:46Speaker 17: of Maniac is probably going to piss people off casting
- 24:49Speaker 17: Elijah Wood probably will really piss people off.
- 24:51Speaker 16: I haven't seen it I have no attachment to it
- 24:53Speaker 16: thus far It's not the kind of thing I would
- 24:56Speaker 16: picture him even looking for, which is maybe why he's
- 24:58Speaker 16: doing it.
- 24:59Speaker 10: Maybe trying to branch out. I don't know.
- 25:02Speaker 13: Any other buzz?
- 25:04Speaker 10: I don't know. I can't look anything else up. Have
- 25:07Speaker 10: you heard anything interesting?
- 25:09Speaker 5: No.
- 25:09Speaker 10: In the interwebs?
- 25:10Speaker 16: No.
- 25:11Speaker 10: You're a nerd. You're on the computer a lot.
- 25:14Speaker 13: I usually just watch trailers, so I don't have any
- 25:16Speaker 13: new things.
- 25:17Speaker 10: Lucy, anything interesting?
- 25:18Speaker 13: I got nothing.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Damn it.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 25:21Speaker 22: Sorry.
- 25:22Speaker 13: Make something up.
- 25:23Speaker 10: We can start a rumor. Ooh, we do play that
- 25:26Speaker 10: game sometimes. Let's come up with a good one.
- 25:29Speaker 13: There was a rumor on the internet that 50 Cent died,
- 25:31Speaker 13: but that turned out to be fake.
- 25:33Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 25:33Speaker 16: That's not a very good one to start off with.
- 25:37Speaker 10: We can discuss. We're kind of in mourning for Heavy D.
- 25:41Speaker 5: We are.
- 25:43Speaker 13: I didn't like Heavy D's he was.
- 25:45Speaker 15: Alright I guess they played a couple songs on the
- 25:47Speaker 15: radio and I was like that's Heavy.
- 25:49Speaker 13: D you're like I hate this song.
- 25:51Speaker 10: I don't like this song you can talk about your
- 25:54Speaker 10: favorite fucking hated that guy cartoon illustrator that passed on
- 25:58Speaker 10: this past.
- 25:58Speaker 20: Week I don't know the guy it could be an
- 26:01Speaker 20: okay guy whatever but if he's gonna fucking inflict the
- 26:04Speaker 20: family circus on the entire fucking generation not even a
- 26:08Speaker 20: generation the whole fucking.
- 26:10Speaker 10: Whoever a couple of generations unfortunately.
- 26:12Speaker 13: Family Circus guy died. Wait, Bill King died?
- 26:15Speaker 10: Bill King died.
- 26:16Speaker 13: He did. Sorry, were you a big fan of Family Circus?
- 26:18Speaker 13: You seemed like, the sound you made, it was like,
- 26:20Speaker 13: it was like you were a heartless.
- 26:22Speaker 10: She doesn't get excited at death the way that you
- 26:25Speaker 10: and I and the rest of the heartless bastards listening
- 26:27Speaker 10: at home do.
- 26:28Speaker 15: I don't know, maybe Family Circus just seemed like it
- 26:30Speaker 15: was always shoving its happy family down my throat.
- 26:34Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 26:35Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 26:36Speaker 15: Maybe, who knows. I just looked at it and I
- 26:39Speaker 15: was like, nobody's family's that fucking happy, okay? Fuck those kids.
- 26:44Speaker 15: Fuck that whole family. It just made me mad. I'm
- 26:47Speaker 15: not even sure why. It just did. I was angry
- 26:49Speaker 15: as a kid. As a kid?
- 26:51Speaker 9: Okay.
- 26:53Speaker 15: I was angry most of my life.
- 26:55Speaker 10: What I think was bad was, and that's what I
- 26:57Speaker 10: was saying before, it's like he had five jokes. And
- 27:00Speaker 10: none of them were funny. They were marginally funny in
- 27:03Speaker 10: 1950 or whenever the hell he started. So and so
- 27:05Speaker 10: did it. So yeah, the not me joke, the here's
- 27:09Speaker 10: the track where Jeffy ran around. What are the other ones?
- 27:13Speaker 10: There's only like five jokes. He just kept like... Sort
- 27:16Speaker 10: of cycling them around and reworking them.
- 27:18Speaker 13: Just a little bit.
- 27:19Speaker 10: Not very much. I think that was mostly my problem
- 27:22Speaker 10: with families here. And the fact that it just went
- 27:25Speaker 10: on forever.
- 27:26Speaker 15: Oh, look, it's the same joke.
- 27:27Speaker 10: And the thing is, this still, like, even much like
- 27:30Speaker 10: a zombie, death won't stop him because his kid's been
- 27:33Speaker 10: doing it for years. So the strip's still going to
- 27:35Speaker 10: go on.
- 27:36Speaker 15: So I didn't understand why the parents didn't beat the
- 27:37Speaker 15: kids because they were aggravating them. Just beat the little bastards.
- 27:41Speaker 16: Please.
- 27:42Speaker 13: I think that's why I didn't like it because there
- 27:43Speaker 13: was kids. I generally don't like kids.
- 27:45Speaker 21: Yeah, see?
- 27:46Speaker 14: There you go.
- 27:46Speaker 13: Especially mutant, freakishly large-headed ones. I didn't like them one bit.
- 27:51Speaker 10: Kids, they're trouble.
- 27:53Speaker 13: Hydrophilic bastards. We should see. Do we have anything else
- 27:57Speaker 13: exciting to talk about? I watched the trailer for the
- 28:00Speaker 13: new Kristen... What's her face movie?
- 28:02Speaker 10: Kristen Stewart. Downy Face?
- 28:04Speaker 13: Yeah, I watched the trailer for her Snow White. Oh, God.
- 28:08Speaker 13: I didn't even know that was happening.
- 28:11Speaker 10: We talked about this one a long time ago. I
- 28:13Speaker 10: think we bitched about it.
- 28:13Speaker 15: Charlize Theron is the evil queen.
- 28:15Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm pretty sure we bitched about it on a community.
- 28:17Speaker 10: I would pick the evil.
- 28:18Speaker 15: Queen over her any day.
- 28:20Speaker 10: Well, I think I've always said that about even the
- 28:24Speaker 10: animated one. I was like, Snow White's all right, but
- 28:26Speaker 10: evil queen's hot.
- 28:27Speaker 15: Evil queen's pretty evil.
- 28:29Speaker 10: I like evil. Evil queen's hot. Maybe not the old hag,
- 28:32Speaker 10: but when she's the evil queen, she's pretty freaking hot.
- 28:35Speaker 10: Just saying.
- 28:36Speaker 13: But yeah, why would you choose Downey Face over... I.
- 28:38Speaker 15: Think that's what my friend Brad said that too. He's like,
- 28:42Speaker 15: you're going to tell me that in this whole fucking universe,
- 28:45Speaker 15: somebody's going to choose her over Charlize. He goes, I
- 28:49Speaker 15: seriously doubt it.
- 28:51Speaker 10: There might be.
- 28:51Speaker 15: Somebody out there.
- 28:53Speaker 16: We should talk about the exciting and awesome trailer that
- 28:56Speaker 16: I posted on your Facebook.
- 28:58Speaker 15: Oh, goodness gracious.
- 28:59Speaker 10: As I said, when you posted it there, it's not,
- 29:02Speaker 10: are we going to watch it? It's, when are we
- 29:04Speaker 10: going to watch it? Go ahead.
- 29:06Speaker 13: Dude. Sand sharks. That's all that should need to be said.
- 29:12Speaker 15: It's sharks in the sand.
- 29:15Speaker 13: And they swim in the sand like it's water.
- 29:17Speaker 15: And they attack people.
- 29:19Speaker 13: And Brooke Hogan explains it.
- 29:21Speaker 15: Because she's a scientist.
- 29:22Speaker 13: Brooke Hogan's a scientist. And Corin Nemec in it. And
- 29:26Speaker 13: we all know how I feel about Corin Nemec.
- 29:29Speaker 15: He's a nerd.
- 29:30Speaker 13: He is.
- 29:31Speaker 15: He's in everything. He's got to stop everything.
- 29:34Speaker 16: Corin Nemec is fantastic. He's going to be in every
- 29:37Speaker 16: sci-fi original from here on out. Parker Lewis, you really
- 29:41Speaker 16: can't lose.
- 29:42Speaker 13: I love Parker Lewis and I love Corin Nemec.
- 29:48Speaker 21: Oh, wow.
- 29:49Speaker 13: Why isn't he at conventions?
- 29:50Speaker 10: I would think he would be.
- 29:51Speaker 15: Because he knew he'd get mobbed by you.
- 29:54Speaker 13: Dude, for serious. No, he's doing the supernatural. Parker Lewis!
- 29:58Speaker 15: I love you.
- 29:59Speaker 13: He's doing the supernatural convention. But you gotta pay like $ 70.
- 30:04Speaker 15: That's why, because he's doing Supernatural Convention.
- 30:07Speaker 16: But he still only pays $ 20 to get his autograph.
- 30:11Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 30:12Speaker 13: Pornemic. It's all good. Dude, Sand Sharks looks awesome. I
- 30:17Speaker 13: don't care what you all say. You can give me
- 30:19Speaker 13: that look all you want.
- 30:19Speaker 12: It looks awesome.
- 30:20Speaker 13: It looks rowdy.
- 30:21Speaker 15: Is that the one that looks like most of the
- 30:22Speaker 15: cast is all porn stars?
- 30:24Speaker 13: Yeah. And they're running on the beach from the Sand Shark.
- 30:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:28Speaker 15: Boobies everywhere.
- 30:29Speaker 13: Hells yes. The only way it could be better would
- 30:32Speaker 13: be if it was in 3D.
- 30:33Speaker 12: It is in 3D, isn't it?
- 30:34Speaker 13: No, it's not.
- 30:35Speaker 15: Well, what's in 3D that's coming up? I thought there
- 30:38Speaker 15: was another movie coming out that had sharks in it
- 30:40Speaker 15: that was in 3D.
- 30:40Speaker 10: What was the shark movie that was in 3D? Oh, yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 10: what was that one? I thought it already opened.
- 30:44Speaker 13: Shark Night?
- 30:45Speaker 10: I figured it already came and went.
- 30:46Speaker 14: Yeah, it did.
- 30:47Speaker 13: It's at the Donner Theater.
- 30:48Speaker 10: Like most movies, yeah. Well, I'm curious, 2D. I'm late
- 30:51Speaker 10: on shit. That looked awesome.
- 30:52Speaker 16: I wanted to see that, but I didn't. I'm a
- 30:54Speaker 16: sucker for 3D. I don't care if everybody thinks it's
- 30:57Speaker 16: played out and old. I love 3D. I think it's awesome,
- 31:00Speaker 16: and I will continue to waste my money going to
- 31:02Speaker 16: the theater and seeing it.
- 31:04Speaker 15: Underworld's coming out in 3D, and I want to see that.
- 31:07Speaker 15: That one looks good. I like Underworld.
- 31:10Speaker 13: Apparently there's an Avengers movie coming out in 3D.
- 31:13Speaker 14: Avengers?
- 31:14Speaker 13: Avengers.
- 31:15Speaker 10: Oh, Avengers.
- 31:16Speaker 13: Yeah, it's like on to the heart valves now.
- 31:18Speaker 10: He directed the new Avengers movie, didn't he? It's going
- 31:20Speaker 10: to be a really weird movie.
- 31:21Speaker 13: I would love that. That's the rumor we need to start.
- 31:25Speaker 16: Yes.
- 31:26Speaker 10: Go ahead, tell that. They've bounced Joss out of the picture.
- 31:29Speaker 10: Bringing in Avengers. Pass that on.
- 31:34Speaker 15: Sounds great.
- 31:35Speaker 10: See what the internet does. We might break it. That
- 31:40Speaker 10: would be kind of interesting. With that, I think we
- 31:43Speaker 10: should take a break. We'll come back with more action-packed
- 31:46Speaker 10: fun from the unnamed convention.
- 31:49Speaker 13: And the bed looks very uncomfortable.
- 31:52Speaker 15: I'm not so sure it's the bed. I don't know.
- 31:55Speaker 13: The headboard's very uncomfortable. It's wood.
- 31:58Speaker 15: I'm just uncomfortable in general.
- 31:59Speaker 23: Just a still town girl on a Saturday night Looking
- 32:04Speaker 23: for the fight of her life In the.

- 32:18Speaker 22: heart Changing woman into life She has danced into the
- 32:25Speaker 22: danger zone When the dancer becomes a dance.
- 32:32Speaker 13: It can cut you like a knife If the gift
- 32:37Speaker 13: becomes the fry I don't.
- 32:39Speaker 23: Know why a bitch went well and what it will
- 32:44Speaker 23: be She's a maniac, maniac.
- 32:49Speaker 10: On the floor.
- 32:52Speaker 23: And she's dancing like she's never danced before She's a maniac,
- 33:02Speaker 23: maniac on the floor. And she's dancing like she's never

- 36:46Speaker 10: sat down and talked with John Saxon, which was pretty awesome,
- 36:50Speaker 10: was it not, Jay?
- 36:51Speaker 15: It was pretty damn awesome, yeah.
- 36:53Speaker 10: John Saxon was awesome.
- 36:54Speaker 15: I like John.
- 36:55Speaker 10: He's cool.
- 36:56Speaker 15: He's been in so many movies and so many TV shows,
- 36:58Speaker 15: and I don't know. It was cool to sit down
- 37:02Speaker 15: and talk to him.
- 37:03Speaker 10: He was pretty awesome. All right, so let's go to John,
- 37:06Speaker 10: and Jay and I will both be there this time.
- 37:09Speaker 21: We're here with John Saxton. Just wanted to, I guess,
- 37:12Speaker 21: start at the basics. I mean, I guess, how did
- 37:14Speaker 21: you get into movies?
- 37:17Speaker 1: I think I wanted to become an actor very, I
- 37:20Speaker 1: don't know, maybe by 13, 14. I think the first
- 37:24Speaker 1: time it happened was that somebody had some radio program,
- 37:33Speaker 1: you know, sheets of paper and so on, and they
- 37:36Speaker 1: gave them to me. And I got the kids in
- 37:38Speaker 1: the neighborhood around where I lived in Brooklyn, and I said,
- 37:41Speaker 1: you play this, I'll play this, and you play that.
- 37:44Speaker 1: And I realized that I was playing much better than
- 37:48Speaker 1: most of them. So I started thinking about it. And
- 37:53Speaker 1: after I graduated.
- 37:54Speaker 3: From high school in Brooklyn, I was.
- 38:00Speaker 1: One day playing hooky, and not after, but during the
- 38:04Speaker 1: time I was going to school a guy came out
- 38:06Speaker 1: and said uh he gave me his card and it
- 38:10Speaker 1: was a a an agency that went to have pictures
- 38:16Speaker 1: taken not pictures but magazine stuff and articles and i
- 38:20Speaker 1: started doing that the moment i got out of high
- 38:23Speaker 1: school from that i started to go to um taking
- 38:27Speaker 1: acting classes at carnegie hall in new york and slowly
- 38:31Speaker 1: and slowly and then one day i.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Was um.
- 38:37Speaker 1: In the park, in Central Park, and there was a
- 38:40Speaker 1: movie going on, and a guy came over to me
- 38:43Speaker 1: and said, okay, you won't be an extra. Then the
- 38:47Speaker 1: director came over and put me in the scene between
- 38:50Speaker 1: two of the actors in it. And that became something
- 38:53Speaker 1: that was.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Somehow got important. And the things that I was doing.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Also brought about the company, which was McFadden Publications.
- 39:10Speaker 1: They had like 10 different magazines going, and one was
- 39:14Speaker 1: Modern Romance, another was Photo Play. And the editor of
- 39:22Speaker 1: the company called the agency I was with, and I thought, oh,
- 39:26Speaker 1: this is great, because I had done a magazine, article
- 39:30Speaker 1: where I played a Puerto Rican gang fighter.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Who had been killed in a gang shootout.
- 39:37Speaker 1: And I was laying in this terrific picture, I wish
- 39:40Speaker 1: I still had it, of me laying by a trash can,
- 39:44Speaker 1: bleeding with a girl next to me. And so I
- 39:47Speaker 1: went to the thing, and I thought, I'm going to
- 39:50Speaker 1: get another job. It was like $ 30 I was getting
- 39:53Speaker 1: for that. So a guy came out and said, do
- 39:57Speaker 1: you ever think of being an actor? I said, yeah,
- 39:59Speaker 1: I go to acting school. And he said, wait here
- 40:03Speaker 1: for a minute. He called an agent in Hollywood. This
- 40:06Speaker 1: was a guy who conducted the magazine, the photo playing
- 40:14Speaker 1: magazine for Hollywood.
- 40:16Speaker 3: And it was a big.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Party kind of situation. He said, come in the office.
- 40:21Speaker 1: The guy called and he said, gave me a phone.
- 40:25Speaker 1: And the phone says, do you want to be an actor?
- 40:28Speaker 3: And I said, yeah, I go to Carnegie Hall and
- 40:31Speaker 3: I'm an actor. And this guy was an agent, a
- 40:34Speaker 3: big agent in Hollywood.
- 40:36Speaker 1: And he brought agency papers to me or to.
- 40:43Speaker 3: His father's because I was not yet 18 years old.
- 40:49Speaker 3: And so I got that going.
- 40:50Speaker 1: He then helped me do, while he was in Hollywood,
- 40:54Speaker 1: in New York. And I did an audition at Warner
- 41:01Speaker 1: Brothers as well. By that time, he was saying, I
- 41:04Speaker 1: can't do anything much for you. You have to maybe
- 41:08Speaker 1: come to Los Angeles. I saved every penny I had.
- 41:11Speaker 1: And about less than six months later, I took an
- 41:15Speaker 1: airplane and went to Los Angeles. And I go into
- 41:19Speaker 1: Universal Studio, and I did an audition, and they hired me,
- 41:23Speaker 1: and I had a contract at Universal. From that start,
- 41:27Speaker 1: I made parts and films, and eventually went on and
- 41:31Speaker 1: on to make more and more films.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Probably 125 to today, or more.
- 41:38Speaker 1: And television shows and so yeah you've got quite a
- 41:41Speaker 1: list and and uh theater as well that's a long
- 41:45Speaker 1: story but that's it that's the whole story as how
- 41:48Speaker 1: i got to become an.
- 41:49Speaker 10: Actor um we're gonna hit a few of them there
- 41:52Speaker 10: um i know queen of blood was was early on
- 41:54Speaker 10: what was.
- 41:55Speaker 1: That like working well it was not as early as
- 41:58Speaker 1: the first things i did um.
- 42:01Speaker 3: The number of pictures uh i.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Went to paris to work with uh Rex Harrison and
- 42:10Speaker 1: his wife in a picture called The Reluctant Debutant with
- 42:16Speaker 1: Sandra Dee. I already done a picture with her. I
- 42:22Speaker 1: did about 10 or 12 pictures at the studio until
- 42:26Speaker 1: the studio system was dying. Television was coming in. And
- 42:34Speaker 1: so I was on my own. I started working elsewhere.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I went to Europe. I did pictures in Italy, came back,
- 42:42Speaker 1: and went back all over the world.
- 42:43Speaker 10: I don't know. Did you want to get into the
- 42:46Speaker 10: martial arts? Yeah, I know you.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Well, yeah, during that time, I always wanted... When I
- 42:54Speaker 1: was a kid, I wanted to see a movie when
- 42:56Speaker 1: I was maybe seven or eight. It was at the end,
- 42:59Speaker 1: sort of the end, the least in my neighborhood, the
- 43:02Speaker 1: movies about... World War II. And I remember seeing the
- 43:07Speaker 1: scene where an American soldier, this would have probably been
- 43:10Speaker 1: in the Philippines, was just looking around, you know, with
- 43:14Speaker 1: a rifle, and all of a sudden a Japanese soldier
- 43:17Speaker 1: comes out, like, looked really like he hadn't eaten or anything,
- 43:21Speaker 1: and he had his hands up in the air, and
- 43:23Speaker 1: he held himself up like this. And then when he
- 43:27Speaker 1: came to this soldier, he raised his hand, and the
- 43:30Speaker 1: soldier thought, this guy is such a little weakling. He
- 43:33Speaker 1: went to shake his hand and this little Japanese guy
- 43:35Speaker 1: threw him over his shoulder, took his rifle away and
- 43:38Speaker 1: bayoneted him.
- 43:39Speaker 3: I thought, oh my God.
- 43:41Speaker 1: I went back to school and I tried to sit
- 43:44Speaker 1: every time in the schoolyard to try to throw somebody
- 43:47Speaker 1: over my shoulder.
- 43:49Speaker 3: And I couldn't. I never did it.
- 43:50Speaker 1: When I got to Los Angeles, I found that there
- 43:54Speaker 1: was judo. So I got to do that.
- 43:57Speaker 3: And finally... Before.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Everybody was throwing me over their shoulder, I started to
- 44:02Speaker 1: learn how to throw somebody over my shoulder. Then I
- 44:05Speaker 1: did karate, and then I did this and that and
- 44:08Speaker 1: the other thing. So a little bit, and then that
- 44:11Speaker 1: led to the picture I was in with Bruce Lee.
- 44:15Speaker 15: Yeah, probably one of my, it's by the way, it's
- 44:19Speaker 15: my top number one martial arts film.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Well, it probably is.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I don't know what the, There are new ones coming out.
- 44:26Speaker 3: And there's a different term to it, you know. There's
- 44:30Speaker 3: one that I got a video from that I haven't
- 44:32Speaker 3: yet opened.
- 44:34Speaker 1: It was.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Nobody knew much about what was going on. You know,
- 44:40Speaker 3: I mean... And so, I mean, at that.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Time, just before the movie with Bruce Lee, I began
- 44:47Speaker 1: realizing that riding around, like in Los Angeles, I.
- 44:52Speaker 15: Would see on every.
- 44:55Speaker 1: at the edge of the mall, there was somebody that
- 44:57Speaker 1: had something like a dojo. And he was teaching karate,
- 45:00Speaker 1: he was teaching judo, he was teaching something or other.
- 45:04Speaker 1: And I thought, boy, this is going to be big time.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Then all of a sudden I got this call about
- 45:09Speaker 1: doing a film in Hong Kong with an agent.
- 45:14Speaker 3: That I had.
- 45:15Speaker 1: He called me and said, Warner Brothers has just sent
- 45:20Speaker 1: me a script They want to make some kind of
- 45:24Speaker 1: cockamamie picture with some cockamamie Chinese actor in Hong Kong.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Read it, see if you like it. I read it,
- 45:32Speaker 3: and I called him. I said, you know, I think
- 45:34Speaker 3: it's going to be brilliant. Good, good, good, good. Then
- 45:38Speaker 3: I thought about it a second time, and I thought,
- 45:41Speaker 3: I don't know. I read the script.
- 45:44Speaker 1: It was like 40 pages. And I thought, I don't know,
- 45:47Speaker 1: maybe I don't know. I said, you know, tell them
- 45:50Speaker 1: I don't want to do it.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Did you tell them? So I called in and I
- 45:55Speaker 3: told them that I didn't want to do the film.
- 45:58Speaker 1: They asked me why. And I said, well, not enough stuff.
- 46:03Speaker 1: You know, if you'd get more of this.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Oh, that's a great idea. This is a great idea.
- 46:07Speaker 3: I said, oh, you really think so?
- 46:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Okay, I'll do it. Called my agent. I said, I'm
- 46:11Speaker 3: going to do it.
- 46:12Speaker 10: He said, good.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Take some money or put it in the bank and
- 46:16Speaker 1: it's a piece you shouldn't have ever seen, you know.
- 46:19Speaker 3: And that was Enter the Dragon.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 46:22Speaker 3: And that's what happens.
- 46:24Speaker 10: You got to fight Bolo Young in that movie, too.
- 46:27Speaker 3: What about him?
- 46:28Speaker 15: You got to fight him?
- 46:28Speaker 3: You had a fight scene with him? Oh, yes, of course,
- 46:30Speaker 3: at the end.
- 46:31Speaker 6: At the very end?
- 46:32Speaker 1: I guess I supposedly kill him by beating him to death.
- 46:36Speaker 21: Oh, God.
- 46:37Speaker 3: All right.
- 46:39Speaker 5: So.
- 46:40Speaker 10: I guess, how much specific training did you have to
- 46:43Speaker 10: do for that one?
- 46:45Speaker 1: I had been doing all this kind of stuff one
- 46:48Speaker 1: place or another.
- 46:49Speaker 3: I mean, I did Tai Chi. I still do Tai Chi.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I tried a little bit of this, a little bit
- 46:55Speaker 1: of that. In fact, most of the time, at the
- 46:58Speaker 1: end of which, when I was supposed to go to
- 47:01Speaker 1: do this picture with Bruce Lee, I was no longer
- 47:06Speaker 1: doing karate in class and stuff like that. When I
- 47:09Speaker 1: went to see Bruce Lee and met him for the
- 47:11Speaker 1: first day, I started talking with him about one thing
- 47:14Speaker 1: and another, and we were getting to be really great
- 47:18Speaker 1: interested in each other and so on. And I started
- 47:23Speaker 1: asking him about things that I didn't find, like Bagua.
- 47:28Speaker 1: I don't know if you know what Bagua is. And
- 47:30Speaker 1: I said, I'd like to see, do you know what
- 47:32Speaker 1: Bagua is? And he said, And Tai Chi, and he said,
- 47:35Speaker 1: Tai Chi is a head trick.
- 47:39Speaker 3: So he took me to, sent me to somebody.
- 47:46Speaker 1: And Bruce Lee, he had what he had done when
- 47:49Speaker 1: he left Los Angeles, and he was about to be
- 47:55Speaker 1: able to do a series called Kung Fu.
- 47:58Speaker 5: Yes.
- 48:00Speaker 3: What happened was the station, the nation that was going.
- 48:05Speaker 1: To put it on, determined after a while that the
- 48:10Speaker 1: American people don't really want to see a Chinese actor
- 48:14Speaker 1: every week.
- 48:15Speaker 3: So they left him out.
- 48:19Speaker 1: What I didn't tell Bruce when I saw him was
- 48:22Speaker 1: I was second in line to do Kung Fu. I
- 48:26Speaker 1: couldn't do Kung Fu because I was doing a series
- 48:29Speaker 1: called The Bold Ones at Universal. So they said, I
- 48:32Speaker 1: ain't going to let you go. You're going to do that.
- 48:34Speaker 1: And I said, okay, forget it. This is how things happen.
- 48:38Speaker 1: And I never told Bruce that I was going to
- 48:42Speaker 1: be the.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Second in charge of that film.
- 48:46Speaker 10: And then I guess when you first read Nightmare on
- 48:49Speaker 10: Elm Street, what did you think of that script the
- 48:51Speaker 10: first time you read it?
- 48:53Speaker 1: I liked that similarly, in a sense that I thought
- 48:56Speaker 1: the first, at least third of the script, really fascinated me.
- 49:02Speaker 1: And I was going to do it. It was great
- 49:04Speaker 1: to do it. And I had made a deal with it.
- 49:07Speaker 1: And to make a long story short, the first day
- 49:10Speaker 1: I came on the set, I didn't know who the
- 49:12Speaker 1: director was. I said i walked around i said who's
- 49:15Speaker 1: the director so and it was a cemetery scene so
- 49:19Speaker 1: i went over to him and i started talking to
- 49:21Speaker 1: him and i told him i liked it but i
- 49:24Speaker 1: also told him i said i liked the first part
- 49:26Speaker 1: very very much sort of not wanting to bother him
- 49:29Speaker 1: the first time they met him to say that i
- 49:32Speaker 1: don't know about the rest of this stuff but people
- 49:34Speaker 1: falling through mattresses And things like that. That's not my interest.
- 49:38Speaker 6: You know.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I don't believe in that too much. But nevertheless, I
- 49:43Speaker 1: stuck with the story as much as I could. And
- 49:49Speaker 1: all of a sudden.
- 49:51Speaker 3: It came out. And it came out in the first.
- 49:56Speaker 1: two weeks uh three weeks of daily variety you know
- 50:01Speaker 1: it was in first place a film that costs very
- 50:04Speaker 1: little and that almost never got made because i remember
- 50:09Speaker 1: what happening i was waiting for a long time i
- 50:12Speaker 1: said they're supposed to take wardrobe uh you know and
- 50:17Speaker 1: looking at my watch and saying i thought it was
- 50:19Speaker 1: supposed to do that last week and i called i
- 50:21Speaker 1: said what's happening About wardrobe. And there was a silence.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Because they didn't have enough money to make the picture.
- 50:28Speaker 1: And somebody who was a DVD, wasn't DVD at that time,
- 50:32Speaker 1: was just going out, selling, influenced or put money into
- 50:39Speaker 1: the picture to make it work.
- 50:40Speaker 3: That's how it got started.
- 50:42Speaker 1: And that's how the company continued to make it. money
- 50:48Speaker 1: and and and not only the first one then there
- 50:51Speaker 1: was the second i was in the third and they
- 50:53Speaker 1: made seven.
- 50:54Speaker 3: At all in which i was in the last one
- 50:56Speaker 3: as well yeah.
- 50:58Speaker 15: Do you have anything else gosh you've been in so
- 51:02Speaker 15: many different tv shows that i've watched growing up over
- 51:05Speaker 15: the years i think you had parts in wonder woman.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Yeah i think i did a two-parter in that it
- 51:10Speaker 1: was funny too I think I played a German soldier.
- 51:14Speaker 3: I always liked.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I guess I started having connections or people.
- 51:21Speaker 3: Realizing I was doing... I don't know where I got
- 51:23Speaker 3: all this stuff. Maybe because I'm living in Brooklyn.
- 51:27Speaker 1: You live a distance away from Scandinavians, across the street
- 51:31Speaker 1: from Jewish people. I was a Shabbos goy.
- 51:34Speaker 3: You know what that means?
- 51:35Speaker 10: No.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Shabbos goy is somebody that they want somebody to come
- 51:38Speaker 1: in to turn on the lights to turn out because
- 51:41Speaker 1: Jews are not supposed to do that.
- 51:43Speaker 3: So I would go in.
- 51:44Speaker 1: There to cut off the lights, to put off the
- 51:47Speaker 1: gas and stuff like that.
- 51:49Speaker 3: And up and down the street, the Irish and the,
- 51:51Speaker 3: you know. So there was always a.
- 51:53Speaker 1: Little bit something happening that sounded, that you could hear.
- 51:57Speaker 1: So I started doing, you know, character roles. I played Mexicans,
- 52:05Speaker 1: several Mexican roles and stuff like that.
- 52:08Speaker 15: I think you've been in a couple episodes of A-Team.
- 52:11Speaker 15: You were in Six Million Dollar Man, Six.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Million Dollar Woman.
- 52:15Speaker 10: Six Million Dollar Man.
- 52:17Speaker 3: I'm losing my mind about the titles of the pictures.
- 52:21Speaker 10: I can understand.
- 52:21Speaker 1: You've done a lot of stuff.
- 52:23Speaker 15: A lot of TV shows.
- 52:24Speaker 10: A lot of stuff that I.
- 52:25Speaker 9: Grew up with.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Me too.
- 52:28Speaker 15: I think I even saw you had an action figure
- 52:32Speaker 15: made after.
- 52:33Speaker 3: Well, that was from Enter the Dragon.
- 52:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:37Speaker 8: There.
- 52:37Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, it's been made three different companies,
- 52:42Speaker 1: and I've been told that there's another company now wanting to.
- 52:47Speaker 3: Continue that business of the figures of characters. That's pretty
- 52:54Speaker 3: hard to find. I haven't been able to find it.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I've got a bunch of them in the closet.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Okay, man.
- 53:01Speaker 10: Thank you very much, sir.
- 53:02Speaker 21: I'm chilled.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty cold in here.
- 53:12Speaker 15: Lullaby, rock-a-bye, lullaby, lullaby.
- 53:36Speaker 10: John Saxon was awesome.
- 53:37Speaker 13: I bumped into him in the hallway. I thought I
- 53:39Speaker 13: was afraid I was going to break him or something.
- 53:41Speaker 15: Yeah, well, the action figure that I was actually talking
- 53:45Speaker 15: to him about wasn't the new one. They had taken
- 53:48Speaker 15: his face for a $ 6 million man action figure that
- 53:51Speaker 15: I tried to find on eBay to get him to sign,
- 53:54Speaker 15: but they wanted way too much money for. Nice. It
- 53:57Speaker 15: wasn't a character that he played on $ 6 million man.
- 54:00Speaker 15: They actually took his face and used it for a
- 54:01Speaker 15: different character. But I'm not sure if he knew.
- 54:04Speaker 5: That or not.
- 54:05Speaker 10: That's what I was going to say. It seems like
- 54:06Speaker 10: the law needs to get involved with this.
- 54:08Speaker 15: Yeah, I don't know if he knew that or not.
- 54:10Speaker 10: They stole my face.
- 54:12Speaker 13: They stole my car. I remember how he yelled at
- 54:16Speaker 13: that guy last time he stopped.
- 54:17Speaker 15: That was pretty damn funny. But me and him were
- 54:18Speaker 15: having a very hardcore discussion about cars. You don't interrupt
- 54:23Speaker 15: guys when they're talking about cars. Especially when you're interrupting
- 54:25Speaker 15: with something stupid like, Is that from Star Trek? No, dummy.
- 54:31Speaker 13: Yeah, he yelled at that guy. That was pretty funny.
- 54:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 54:34Speaker 10: He did a lot of TV shows, none of which
- 54:36Speaker 10: were Star Trek. Get it right.
- 54:37Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 54:37Speaker 13: I don't remember what it was. What was it?
- 54:39Speaker 15: Oh, I didn't get a chance to ask him how
- 54:41Speaker 15: it was to work with, oh, man, what was her name? God,
- 54:47Speaker 15: how can I forget your name?
- 54:50Speaker 14: Wonder Woman.
- 54:51Speaker 13: Linda Carter?
- 54:51Speaker 15: Linda Carter, yeah.
- 54:53Speaker 13: How do you forget Wonder Woman's name? That's like your
- 54:55Speaker 13: big thing.
- 54:56Speaker 15: You always say Wonder Woman. I'm tired. But yeah, I
- 55:00Speaker 15: wanted to ask him what it was like working on
- 55:02Speaker 15: Wonder Woman with Linda Carter. But that's too late now.
- 55:07Speaker 15: Next time I talk to you, John, I'll ask you
- 55:09Speaker 15: about the Linda Carter thing. Because I had a huge
- 55:12Speaker 15: crush on Linda Carter when I was like eight, I think. No,
- 55:17Speaker 15: maybe I was six. Wow. It's Linda Carter. She was
- 55:23Speaker 15: Wonder Woman.
- 55:24Speaker 10: I can't argue with that.
- 55:26Speaker 5: No.
- 55:27Speaker 10: Anything else on Joe?
- 55:29Speaker 15: No, no, that's it.
- 55:31Speaker 13: He seemed pretty awesome.
- 55:32Speaker 10: He was pretty awesome.
- 55:33Speaker 15: John Saxon's awesome.
- 55:34Speaker 10: And has been in a million projects.
- 55:37Speaker 15: He's been in a crap load of projects, and I
- 55:40Speaker 15: don't think he gets as, I don't think anybody gives
- 55:43Speaker 15: him the due that he's owed, you know. And he's
- 55:48Speaker 15: probably one of those actors, I think he's a great actor,
- 55:52Speaker 15: but I don't think he's ever going to get the recognition.
- 55:58Speaker 10: He was just a working actor.
- 56:00Speaker 15: He's been in everything, it seems like.
- 56:02Speaker 10: He was ready to get a job, and like you said,
- 56:07Speaker 10: he did. And then from there, I mean, they cast
- 56:09Speaker 10: him in everything.
- 56:10Speaker 15: But he was so good at just kind of being
- 56:12Speaker 15: certain actors or playing certain parts that you never did go, oh, yeah,
- 56:17Speaker 15: it's John Saxon. Yeah, it's, oh, it's John Saxon playing
- 56:20Speaker 15: John Saxon. It's not like Winona Ryder or Keanu Reeves
- 56:24Speaker 15: where every movie they're in, they're like, oh, well, that's...
- 56:27Speaker 15: pretty much how they play it nobody ever says they're
- 56:29Speaker 15: good at it yeah no john saxon's good and half
- 56:32Speaker 15: the time you don't even know he's in some of
- 56:34Speaker 15: the stuff you're like holy crap that was john saxon
- 56:38Speaker 15: i didn't even recognize him a lot.
- 56:40Speaker 10: Of that stuff even stuff that i had seen but
- 56:42Speaker 10: it's like i'd forgotten because it'd been years ago i
- 56:44Speaker 10: was like oh yeah he's in that too.
- 56:45Speaker 15: Good lord yeah he's he worked in a lot of
- 56:48Speaker 15: stuff i'm sorry you're cold john i You should have
- 56:52Speaker 15: gave him your jacket. I didn't have a black... I
- 56:54Speaker 15: didn't have my jacket on. So, he wouldn't probably have
- 56:57Speaker 15: accepted it.
- 56:57Speaker 10: You should have cuddled him.
- 56:58Speaker 13: Cuddled with him.
- 56:58Speaker 12: Nah, he probably.
- 56:59Speaker 15: Old man cuddle. He probably would have been like, get
- 57:01Speaker 15: the fuck off of me. Get away from me, you
- 57:03Speaker 15: creepy killer.
- 57:03Speaker 10: You weird kid.
- 57:04Speaker 15: Lullaby, lullaby, lullaby blue.
- 57:06Speaker 7: One minute left to top off the evening with a
- 57:15Speaker 7: treat from.
- 57:15Speaker 5: Our snack bar.
- 57:16Speaker 4: Still time if you hurry.
- 57:19Speaker 14: Listen.
- 57:21Speaker 6: Do you hear it?
- 57:24Speaker 10: It's getting closer.
- 57:27Speaker 15: Much closer.
- 57:30Speaker 10: Don't be afraid.
- 57:33Speaker 15: Be very, very afraid.
- 57:36Speaker 2: I've got a message.
- 57:47Speaker 5: For you.
- 57:50Speaker 13: Ready for death.
- 58:10Speaker 10: I'm Gray. Take a journey with me through the dark
- 58:14Speaker 10: side of cinema in the Dark Hours Horror Podcast. Find

- 58:38Speaker 13: I made it for $ 30, 000 in two days and a night.
- 58:52Speaker 21: This is Roger Corman, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 58:55Speaker 13: It's part of your problem, you know.
- 59:02Speaker 5: You haven't seen enough movies.
- 59:03Speaker 15: All of life's riddles are answered in the movies.
- 59:07Speaker 5: And now, on with the show.
- 59:09Speaker 2: The End.
- 59:32Speaker 13: Here you go, Jerry. Sounds interesting.
- 59:38Speaker 15: I don't want to know, do I?
- 59:39Speaker 13: I want to know some people, but I'm kind of
- 59:41Speaker 13: trapped in the corner.
- 59:43Speaker 15: This does taste like hotel faucet water.
- 59:47Speaker 13: We're at a hotel, and that is faucet water.
- 59:49Speaker 14: I know.
- 59:49Speaker 15: I'm becoming a water snob.
- 59:53Speaker 13: There is a Coke right there that nobody's drinking.
- 59:56Speaker 15: That's probably somebody else's Coke, and I'm.
- 59:58Speaker 13: Not going to take their Coke.
- 59:59Speaker 10: We'll be gone.
- 1:00:01Speaker 15: I will not take somebody's Coke.
- 1:00:04Speaker 10: I don't know what happened to that, Randy. Damn, are
- 1:00:07Speaker 10: we still recording?
- 1:00:11Speaker 13: They told us we.
- 1:00:12Speaker 10: Could have anything we wanted. That's why I'm taking that lamp.
- 1:00:17Speaker 13: I'm choking. Calm down.
- 1:00:18Speaker 15: Now what?
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:00:22Speaker 10: I think it is time for the secret circle reveal
- 1:00:24Speaker 10: of the next exciting feature. Okay, kids, get out your
- 1:00:27Speaker 10: recorder pins.
- 1:00:29Speaker 15: I lost mine.
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: Set your pins to B2. Here is the message.
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: You should write in and get yourself another one.
- 1:00:36Speaker 14: Okay.
- 1:00:37Speaker 15: I'll borrow Misty's. No, you won't.
- 1:00:40Speaker 13: You know I don't share.
- 1:00:42Speaker 15: I'll look over your shoulder when you're not looking.
- 1:00:44Speaker 13: No, you know that pisses me off.
- 1:00:45Speaker 17: All right.
- 1:00:49Speaker 10: Next week we will be back. With a specific movie
- 1:00:53Speaker 10: and a special guest star. Next week we will be
- 1:00:56Speaker 10: doing Somewhere in Time.
- 1:00:58Speaker 16: Which, Fozzie was right, it is not a serial killer movie.
- 1:01:02Speaker 16: Or the Jack the Ripper movie, I'm sorry.
- 1:01:04Speaker 10: Okay, I'm not the only one then. I did that
- 1:01:07Speaker 10: for years. Because they both came out right around that
- 1:01:10Speaker 10: same time. They were both about time travel. And yeah,
- 1:01:16Speaker 10: every time I go, wait, no, it's the other one.
- 1:01:19Speaker 16: No matter which one it came up, I was just like,
- 1:01:21Speaker 16: is that the one with, no. He was like, is
- 1:01:24Speaker 16: that the Jack the Ripper movie? I'm like, no, Brian
- 1:01:26Speaker 16: said it's a chick flick. He's like, oh, it's the
- 1:01:27Speaker 16: one with Christopher Reeves.
- 1:01:29Speaker 10: It is the one with Christopher Reeves. So, as previously mentioned,
- 1:01:33Speaker 10: we will be watching Somewhere in Time next episode. Lucy,
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: you were there. Shall we reveal the secret guest?
- 1:01:40Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 1:01:41Speaker 15: You make the call.
- 1:01:42Speaker 10: He's pretty exciting. He's pretty excited.
- 1:01:44Speaker 13: He's kind of my new favorite person. He hugged me.
- 1:01:46Speaker 10: He kind of is.
- 1:01:47Speaker 13: I kind of love him.
- 1:01:49Speaker 10: With that plug, we better tell him. So, yeah, we
- 1:01:51Speaker 10: will be talking with.
- 1:01:52Speaker 13: He'll be in suspense. That way they'll definitely listen.
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: All right, you heard it. Misty said, keep you in suspense.
- 1:01:59Speaker 13: It was lively, and he was so enthusiastic about the film.
- 1:02:01Speaker 18: Like, I was a little wishy-washy going into the conversation,
- 1:02:04Speaker 18: and I realized halfway through that it's my favorite.
- 1:02:05Speaker 13: Movie of all time also.
- 1:02:08Speaker 10: He roped you right into it.
- 1:02:09Speaker 13: You can tell him if you want.
- 1:02:11Speaker 10: No, you said no. We can't argue with that.
- 1:02:14Speaker 13: It's Doug Jones. See what I did there? Took it away,
- 1:02:19Speaker 13: then I gave it back. Yeah, that's right.
- 1:02:27Speaker 10: I'm sorry.
- 1:02:28Speaker 13: I'm tired and hungry.
- 1:02:32Speaker 10: Oh, Jesus.
- 1:02:34Speaker 13: She's never going to want to do another show with
- 1:02:36Speaker 13: us again. I wonder why.
- 1:02:38Speaker 10: So, yes, we will be talking with none other than Mr.
- 1:02:41Speaker 10: Doug Jones, star of half of Del Toro's movies. And
- 1:02:46Speaker 10: he was one of the gentlemen. Hellboy. And one of
- 1:02:50Speaker 10: our favorite shows, Buffy.
- 1:02:51Speaker 13: One of the favorite episodes. One of the best episodes
- 1:02:54Speaker 13: ever written.
- 1:02:54Speaker 10: The show's awesome. So, he was one of the gentlemen.
- 1:02:59Speaker 13: Some of the best dialogue ever.
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: You just want Xander to shut up, don't you?
- 1:03:03Speaker 13: Kind of.
- 1:03:04Speaker 10: Just don't say anything bad about him. I'm coughing.
- 1:03:08Speaker 13: I won't. She's adorable.
- 1:03:09Speaker 10: She is adorable. So, yes, we will be back next
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: week with Somewhere in Time with special guest Mr. Doug Jones.
- 1:03:16Speaker 12: Hells yes.
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: Who is just ridiculously awesome and excited. And he hugged us,
- 1:03:22Speaker 10: but we'll go into that more next time.
- 1:03:24Speaker 16: I'm still curious about that one photo he had on
- 1:03:26Speaker 16: his table that involved him with his pants down and
- 1:03:29Speaker 16: boxers that have hearts on them.
- 1:03:32Speaker 13: I pointed it out to you. That's a classic.
- 1:03:34Speaker 10: Yeah, I saw it.
- 1:03:34Speaker 13: What's it from?
- 1:03:35Speaker 10: No, just in general. That's a classic look. Doesn't everybody
- 1:03:38Speaker 10: wear those?
- 1:03:38Speaker 16: No.
- 1:03:39Speaker 10: Oh, never mind. What do we want to round this
- 1:03:43Speaker 10: out with? What's a big song that ties to our events.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: Of the day?
- 1:03:48Speaker 16: We didn't really discuss most of our events of the day.
- 1:03:50Speaker 14: Though, did we?
- 1:03:54Speaker 13: Is there any songs about being crowded with fat, sweaty men?
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: I don't think I want to hear them if there are.
- 1:04:01Speaker 10: Doesn't sound like a good song at all.
- 1:04:03Speaker 13: Being too close to too many people. I hate the police.
- 1:04:06Speaker 10: Don't stand so close.
- 1:04:07Speaker 13: Yeah, I hate the police.
- 1:04:09Speaker 10: But there you go. Oh, they were good back in
- 1:04:11Speaker 10: the day.
- 1:04:12Speaker 13: No, they weren't.
- 1:04:12Speaker 10: All right, fine then. We've got our theme. Let's round
- 1:04:15Speaker 10: it out. Otherwise, that about does it. We will return
- 1:04:18Speaker 10: next week. Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening.

- 1:07:35Speaker 16: There was something and I'm trying to see if it's
- 1:07:36Speaker 16: a baby spider, but it's just floating there, so it
- 1:07:38Speaker 16: could be something dead.
- 1:07:40Speaker 15: It'll be okay.
- 1:07:41Speaker 13: If it was a spider, you were going to have
- 1:07:42Speaker 13: to get it.

- 1:07:44Speaker 10: It's a baby spider.
