- 0:58Hi, everyone.
- 0:59It's, Roxanne Durgesh.
- 1:01Nice to see you, or hear you again this, week it's authentic living with Roxanne.
- 1:06So today, I have a another special guest.
- 1:09I've I think that everybody that takes the time to come in and and, share the with me is
- 1:14special.
- 1:14And it's Pooja Misra.
- 1:17Puja, and I hope I'm saying your last name properly.
- 1:20Is it Misra?
- 1:21You're
- 1:22you're the try to
- 1:23help me.
- 1:24So Pooja, is, someone that's quite unique, puja works with, women.
- 1:31I, I, I said, that what I think she does is she transforms the perception of what people see in
- 1:38the mirror.
- 1:38I think that's how I would would describe it.
- 1:40So I'm gonna read a little bit about Pooja and, and then I I hope that Pooja will be able to
- 1:45explain a little bit better what she does.
- 1:48Puja, owns zoom into life photography.
- 1:52And, in this, in her business, she empowers women by having them capture their inner light
- 1:58and beauty, and it's a basically a gift back to them as a pore as a portrait photographer, She
- 2:04specializes in contemporary portraits for women.
- 2:07Her passion and mission is to help women by giving them the confidence they they deserve
- 2:12and the knowledge that they are beautiful and worthy just the way they are.
- 2:16Making them confidence and empowered both swift personally and professionally to save the
- 2:21world.
- 2:22I'm beautiful now.
- 2:23I'm good enough now, which is wow.
- 2:26If you can do that, I know that, oftentimes women, I'm and, you know, before you're getting
- 2:31ready, like, even today, you know, it's kinda like, okay.
- 2:34Is my hair look okay?
- 2:35I think I see a little bit of gray.
- 2:37All those things that we go through as women.
- 2:40So, Puja, tell me tell me a little bit more of what I've not kind of, highlighted.
- 2:44I know you do branding and you do portraits for family generations.
- 2:49So tell, tell me a little bit more about, what you do.
- 2:55So, basically, like you read, a little bit about me.
- 3:00So I do what I do is even if I'm doing, the family generations of beauty poters, which are
- 3:06made with doll shoes or personal branding, My goal is always to really capture the person or,
- 3:15the beautiful soul that woman is to really capture her in my lens and then be able to get
- 3:21it back to her.
- 3:22So, beauty coaches, like I said, is essentially make over style portraits.
- 3:27It's for a woman who really wants to come in and take the time to just celebrate herself, so
- 3:32that she feels in powered and, confident and beautiful in her own skin.
- 3:37Family generations are basically an extension of that same beauty shoe because I have the
- 3:41family join her later.
- 3:42After her shoot is done.
- 3:44And then personal branding, shoots are basically customized sessions for the
- 3:52entrepreneurs or the small business owners, wherein, I truly capture or my goal is to truly
- 3:58capture who they are, what they do, and what their passion is all about, into the images
- 4:04that I create for them.
- 4:05Because I truly believe that images invoke feelings in the other person.
- 4:10So as a small business owner, what are the what are the feelings that you want your target
- 4:15audience to really feed about you and, communicate that, in the images through your
- 4:23story.
- 4:24So that's what I do in personal branding and headshots.
- 4:27So, you know, what I what I, love about your story is is your beginning and it's in your
- 4:32bio, but I think, you telling it is, story about your daughter and your and the family
- 4:36pictures that when you went digging through looking for them.
- 4:39So I'd like you to share with the audience kind of what how this path got started because you
- 4:44were in, fashion design and and textile, right, and and how you kind of landed where you did.
- 4:50So please, share some of that story with them.
- 4:52Sure.
- 4:54So, yes, I was, so I graduated from my university in textile Designing, and then I did
- 5:00fashion design.
- 5:01And then I worked in the different countries that I have been in so far, as a fashion
- 5:07designer, as a senior designer, wherein I was designing, for retail for either men's wear or
- 5:16women's wear.
- 5:16And so I've been to, I have had that exposure all throughout my life, but I always had, that
- 5:24feeling inside of me that I am to do something else that there is something more that I need
- 5:29to, I have that I need to offer to the world, but I didn't know what at that point of time.
- 5:36And, but I knew that I wanted to do something, but I could really make a difference in the
- 5:43other person's life.
- 5:44And so it still happened that I already had my photography business and everything, which I
- 5:49started with my, husband initially, And so, couple of years back when my daughter was in
- 5:54elementary school, she came back, one day saying that, mama needs some photographs of
- 5:59ours.
- 6:01Our family forecast put on a classroom wall.
- 6:03And at that moment, when I, went to my back to my family albums, and I was flipping through
- 6:11them, I could not find any image of mine with her or just myself.
- 6:17And, and at that moment, I asked my husband is like, how come I'm not finding any photograph
- 6:24of mine?
- 6:25You know, like, we take photographs for other people where are my photographs.
- 6:29And so Great.
- 6:33And when you look at the moment that you don't want to take, any photographs or you're not
- 6:39willing to Jump in.
- 6:43At that moment, it's like, you know, when you notice something, you kind of notice the
- 6:48pattern all around you.
- 6:49And so I saw that that similar kind of thinking or a similar perception in my family some of
- 6:58the friends that I had or even just strangers who I used to meet, in my everyday life.
- 7:03And it didn't really matter whether a person, Roscoe, we like me, or, a person who is lean
- 7:09because my sister is lean.
- 7:11My younger sisters has been throughout her life, but even she has those things.
- 7:16And so In that moment, I realized that I need to change this perception of women not feeling
- 7:23good enough because that does not me putting on weight or whatever happens, in my life
- 7:29physically does not really speak about who I am.
- 7:34And, as an individual or, me as a person.
- 7:38And I feel like I have that image in my head when I used to look at myself in the mirror in
- 7:44my photographs, I never could connect the two images.
- 7:48And so my thing was, okay, it really does not matter because I have the space of my fashion
- 7:54and styling and all of that.
- 7:55I need to marry all of this that I have over the years and create, a kind of a shoe wherein
- 8:05I can really capture who the person is and reflected back to them at the back of my camera
- 8:10so that they feel that connection.
- 8:12Because when you get that connection, you feel so confident in your own skin, that you can
- 8:20basically move mountains.
- 8:21So that's how that's what my story is.
- 8:24What's all sounds amazing.
- 8:26So, you know, I think of what happens to women, you know, and you what you see, you know, all
- 8:31over the magazines and the internet and you know, people or celebrities or even people in,
- 8:39in, influencers sometimes will take down pictures Photoshop it and then put them back
- 8:47up.
- 8:47So we are really working in a world where we're consistently bombarded with perfection.
- 8:53Right?
- 8:54And really what is real?
- 8:56Like, how, you know, how tall or how short or what sizes anybody, something, you know, in in
- 9:01reality, off in times what we're seeing is not the reality, and that's, unfortunately, what
- 9:06most people are comparing to.
- 9:08Would you would you agree with that being in the fashion world, you could you could probably
- 9:12give us even a, you know, a better backstory on that.
- 9:15What what did you see out there?
- 9:17Well, it is true.
- 9:19Like, we always, especially when we are going up, I think
- 9:23it hap starts happening when we are in our teams where we are bombarded with all these
- 9:28fashion magazines.
- 9:29And at that time, I feel like, the focus is more on acceptability from your peers or
- 9:36whatever.
- 9:36And then, you when you come across, images, in fashion magazines and everything, you it's
- 9:45almost like an escalation.
- 9:46It's like I wanna be like her, or, you know, I wanna look like her, and that kind of stays
- 9:51true.
- 9:52And, just as to how each individual's life progresses.
- 9:58Sometimes it stays, and then it leads to, leads to this when you, like, the non matching of the
- 10:062 images, like I was talking to you about, when that happens, then you kind of feel like, okay.
- 10:12I'm not good enough.
- 10:12I don't look beautiful enough because in your mind, you're always kind of referring back to
- 10:17it.
- 10:18Or Sometimes I've seen it even happens, like in my case, wherein I used to I used to feel I I
- 10:26looked I looked good in my teen years or in my university year, a couple of years before.
- 10:32And then when I saw that mismatch, in my current images and I was I was looking at
- 10:37myself.
- 10:38I felt like, oh, no.
- 10:40I have to look like that.
- 10:41That is perfect.
- 10:42This is imperfect.
- 10:44And so, yeah, absolutely.
- 10:45So that's what I feel like, we need to just know that, you know, what we are beautiful
- 10:52individuals just the way we are, and, we can change that if we don't like something, we can
- 10:58definitely we'll do what's changing it.
- 11:01So, yeah.
- 11:02So those messages really are, and if if we look at what I do, which is authenticity, is about
- 11:08being authentic, like you are right.
- 11:10Like, we are so much more than what we look like on the outside.
- 11:13But if that's the only benchmark that you're using without kind of recognizing, you know,
- 11:19who am I, you know, do I like me, you know, and, what do I do, to be kind to myself first
- 11:26And I think oftentimes, what happens is, you know, we're we're we can be really nice to the
- 11:31meanest, meanest person in our lives or people, but we're we're oftentimes not so nice to
- 11:36ourselves, and that's really external and internal back and forth, which is really what
- 11:41self esteem is.
- 11:43You know, so what I'm curious about is when you meet women, right, what do you do?
- 11:50Like, what do you do, like, an like, I mean, I when I meet people, obviously, in my work, as a
- 11:55culture, you know, in psychotherapy, I go through an assessment, which is, is
- 11:59conversational.
- 12:01Is your similar?
- 12:01What what do you do?
- 12:02Or do you do a formal piece, where they fill out paperwork?
- 12:06What?
- 12:06What?
- 12:06What's your process?
- 12:11Yeah.
- 12:12So my process is exactly like you mentioned.
- 12:15For me, it's very important.
- 12:16No matter which sheet I'm doing, it's really important for me.
- 12:22Need to know as to what is it that they are really looking forward to, be it their personal
- 12:26branding or their beauty or family portraits.
- 12:28So always have a consult done with them.
- 12:31And once I know the vision of, their shoe, then it's easier for me to kind of a map everything
- 12:39in my mind as to what I'm going to create for them.
- 12:42So, yes, if we so I first laid down like, a photoshoot date, and then I kind of back
- 12:47calculate 2 or 3 from that day.
- 12:50And then I have a style consolidation.
- 12:52And on the style consolidation, I talk in-depth about, okay, what is your vision?
- 12:57If it's, for personal branding, where does your business stand at the moment?
- 13:02Are you going through a process of rebranding What is your vision?
- 13:05What is it that you want to communicate?
- 13:06And, even for building photos is the exact same thing.
- 13:10So once I understand what is it that they're looking for, then it's easier for me to kind
- 13:16of, map that you'd be able to say like I was saying, accordingly.
- 13:20So I have the style consultation I discussed.
- 13:23Okay, what outfits to get from for your photo shoot?
- 13:26What colors to pick?
- 13:27What accessories to pick?
- 13:28And all that is discussed on the day, of the council.
- 13:31I actually sent them a style guide and a beauty guide, which they are looking at while them
- 13:36while I'm walking them through.
- 13:37So it's easier for them to understand because it's visual.
- 13:40Then, after that, they come in, on the day of the police shoot.
- 13:45I have her here, Nikkabar is waiting for them.
- 13:49And, they're going to hair and makeup, then I photographed them in the different outfits and
- 13:53the lifestyle shots that we've discussed.
- 13:56Then I take around 2 weeks ago signature with my images, and then they come back in for a
- 14:01presentation, where they actually get to see what happened on the day of the shoot and
- 14:05really, see what images is.
- 14:11Looking at that moment or the love from the Polish.
- 14:13So it's a little bit different and a slightly longer process, but then, the client seemed to
- 14:19really enjoy because, they know that they have been handheld and and really, it really takes
- 14:29care of, any insight or any kind of thing that they have in their mindset.
- 14:33Okay.
- 14:33What do I get for the ship?
- 14:34Or am I going to look, or what am I going to do, and all of that?
- 14:38So, yeah.
- 14:39So in business, I would think that that most people have a vision of branding.
- 14:42I would assume most of the time.
- 14:44So they have sense of what they're gonna want to.
- 14:46But let's say I gotta play devil's advocate.
- 14:48It's a woman.
- 14:49I don't like kinda how I look.
- 14:51I'm not so sure what my look is.
- 14:53Like, I kinda think it should be this, but I'm not so sure.
- 14:56And I'm going back and forth with you because I confused myself because I I'm not comfortable
- 15:00in my skin.
- 15:01And I wanna look beautiful, but I'm not sure what that should look like.
- 15:05How do you, how do you help me out?
- 15:07So, so here's what my fashion background kind of, helps me over here because having worked
- 15:14for so many international brands, I kind of understand more about branding and how to
- 15:19really communicate the story of the brand to the target audience.
- 15:24So then I know that, okay, if if if somebody hasn't had a chance to really, you know, work
- 15:32on to their branding more, if it's it's a great opportunity.
- 15:36I feel like, you know what?
- 15:37Wow.
- 15:38That is, that is incredible because now I get to really work with them right from.
- 15:47Okay.
- 15:50What is it that you really want to communicate to your, target audience.
- 15:53So is it that you wanna look powerful and confident, or you wanna look warm and
- 15:57approachable?
- 15:58What is the nature your, work that is there.
- 16:02Are you a coach, or are you into real estate, or are you into mortgage, or are you a health
- 16:09are you into health and wellness.
- 16:10So based on all that, then it just every question is asked to them in a way that it just
- 16:17helps them clarify because we know what we want.
- 16:20It's just that we might not be able to see it at that moment.
- 16:23And also, okay, what colors are you really drawn to?
- 16:25If you don't have your branding colors, already, you know, kind of So I think one of
- 16:36the you gravitate towards, or, what kind of field are you in?
- 16:42So say, for example, I had a person wherein, they were into, spiritual guidance and all of
- 16:51that.
- 16:52And earlier, they were using hot link, but it didn't fire, the thing that they were kind of,
- 17:00helping the clients with.
- 17:02So it it was it was more of, okay.
- 17:05What is it that you really want your target audience to be?
- 17:07And so she's like okay, I want them to feel loved, and I want them to feel safe, and I want
- 17:13them to feel trustworthy.
- 17:15And I want them to feel calm and, completely at ease with me.
- 17:19And so I'm like, okay, then let's look at, are you drawn to more of blues and in blues What
- 17:25are the tones or, colors that you've drawn to it?
- 17:28So it was like, okay.
- 17:29I like aqua blue.
- 17:34And you catered the shoot around that.
- 17:36And, just the personal branding for me was more like, okay, how do I show this person's divine
- 17:44power through their images.
- 17:46And that's how we kind of discussed and, came, to do her images And so far, that's like my
- 17:55most favorite shirt because every time I see her image, it gives me goosebumps because I
- 17:59want to feel a positive and beautiful aura through that.
- 18:03So.
- 18:04It's interesting.
- 18:05Right?
- 18:05Cause I get I get to you an example, like, when I did my shots, so I had 2 I had one
- 18:10photographer, both gave to my home, right, to do.
- 18:14And, the first set of shots, people said it's a look contrived It it just didn't look like me.
- 18:21It didn't, you know, and the second one, a different photographer, and I looked completely
- 18:26relaxed And my because of my brand authenticity, relatable, not intimidating in
- 18:32any way, even though I'm bringing the professional background, And the second one
- 18:37captured it within me.
- 18:39Mhmm.
- 18:39The first one, even though, you know, I, yes, I was dressed a bit differently or whatever I
- 18:43seemed up tight.
- 18:44So I may and then the second photographer, really, he kept saying, you know, just breathe,
- 18:50you know, just, you know, he kept, you know, he did some outside, you know, and, and they're
- 18:55all really those are the ones that I still use today, but I think what you're saying is,
- 18:59really, the first was more surface and the seconds was more essence.
- 19:04So is that is that what you mean?
- 19:05Absolutely.
- 19:06You know, because I I often think, and this is, you know, as a coach or a psychotherapist, what
- 19:10we do is you know, when we go through all two steps, it's kind of who's important.
- 19:15What's important?
- 19:16How will you know when?
- 19:17What will you be feeling differently?
- 19:20How, how will you be thinking differently?
- 19:22How will your body, you experience your body in a different way ultimately based on why they're
- 19:27there?
- 19:28Right.
- 19:29And we're continually, I often say it's like a fuzzy, you know, those old TVs where there's a
- 19:35fuzzy image when I meet them originally, And then as I I continue to assess the concerns,
- 19:40whatever they're coming in with, that fuzzy picture becomes clearer and clearer to me in my
- 19:45mind so I can get them where they need to get but it's not about me.
- 19:49Yeah.
- 19:49It's just about me being, a bit of a vehicle alongside them, but they're coming of their own
- 19:56because their goal has to fit into their lives because sometimes we will say, well, you know,
- 20:02I'm saying, just tell me what to do, and I'll go home, and I'll do it.
- 20:04And I say, okay.
- 20:05Great.
- 20:05Great.
- 20:06Just let me give me a couple of minutes.
- 20:07I'll write out what you need, and I'll send you off.
- 20:10And I said, in 2 weeks, you'll come back.
- 20:11You'll be freaking out.
- 20:13You would have done it for 1 week.
- 20:142nd week, you're gonna fall on your face, and then you're gonna come back, and you're gonna
- 20:18be really mad at me.
- 20:19And I said, I won't I won't let that happen.
- 20:21So is that do you find that people sometimes try to put you in that spot to have you use
- 20:25your voice, be just because they're not sure or, you know, how do you kind of deal with
- 20:31those areas where they say, Pooja, just tell me what to do.
- 20:33You're the you're the fashion icon.
- 20:35You know colors.
- 20:36You know wardrobe.
- 20:37What do you do with those
- 20:38I I absolutely agree with you.
- 20:41And so if I, if if anybody says that to me, I'm like, I will take the photographs for you, but
- 20:49the images are not about me.
- 20:50It's about you, and it's about capturing the essence of your brand and you because when you,
- 20:58when you put out these images, I really want them to work for you in a way that it not only
- 21:03elevates your brand, and, and really works for your vision, but your target audience is really
- 21:11attracted to you because now they can feel your tendency of you being captured in them.
- 21:17And, they have that trust, build up for you.
- 21:22And they can see that when, through the images.
- 21:26So it has to be about you.
- 21:28And, and so then when I walk them through all of these questions, asked you, okay, what are
- 21:33the emotions that you want, to really for the other person to feel?
- 21:38Or, what is it that you are more drawn to?
- 21:42Are there any images that you are drawn to?
- 21:44Because when I ask all of those questions, yeah, it just becomes clearer and clearer and
- 21:48clearer.
- 21:49And then I kind of build a vision board for them.
- 21:51So when I put all of those, ideas onto a vision board for them and they look at it, they are
- 21:57like, oh my god.
- 21:58It's like you are in my head.
- 21:59This is exactly what I wanted.
- 22:01I'm like, I'm glad you feel that way.
- 22:04So I think that really helps because when I create that for them.
- 22:09It just helps, get that clarity for them.
- 22:13And it's almost like I know exactly what's there in my their head, and they know exactly
- 22:18what's there in my mind.
- 22:19It just brings so much of clarity to it.
- 22:21So what I'm curious about is the family shoots.
- 22:24So so let's say, you know, you a woman comes in and she goes through all of this.
- 22:28So I've I I'm assuming you're picking color based on tone and and feel that they want all
- 22:33those things.
- 22:34Like, like, people want to feel connected.
- 22:36Like you said, they when they look at the picture, they get an emotions, an emotion
- 22:39associated with you.
- 22:40So you're doing all of that.
- 22:42And then you create something like you said, the one with the goosebumps.
- 22:45What an what a feeling?
- 22:46That's what I mean.
- 22:47You've tapped into something really, really deep there.
- 22:49So I'm so then you said that you bring they bring the family in.
- 22:53So I'm curious about that.
- 22:55So what happens?
- 22:57So they go through this whole metamorphosis, I call it.
- 23:00Okay.
- 23:01Oh, that's a really good word.
- 23:02Yeah.
- 23:02What is a cocoon?
- 23:03Right?
- 23:03You're breaking them out and, you know, like, they say with the butterfly, all the things
- 23:07that the butterfly has to go through, which is horrific to be able to come, come out of this
- 23:12cocoon, and to become this beautiful butterfly, which is really the internal space of our
- 23:17uniqueness within each one of us, which I truly believe.
- 23:20Yeah.
- 23:20And what happens to the family?
- 23:22Like, do they end prepped do they say, oh, by the way, you know, mom or sister's gonna be a
- 23:27bit different.
- 23:28How do how do you kind of line that up so that you get these pictures in line with this new
- 23:33metamorphosis that has gotten created.
- 23:36Right.
- 23:36So say, for example, if it's a mother and daughter shoot, wherein it's the mom, and then,
- 23:41you know, she has daughters or she has just one daughter, and then she comes in for her shoe So
- 23:48the way I work it is that, first, the mom would go into hair and makeup, and then I start
- 23:54photographing her.
- 23:55And depending on It's, you know, say till 16 years of age or whatever.
- 24:04I think they'll still like to, kind of have a little bit makeup done, kind of have them,
- 24:14like, a full makeup, like, sort of a thing, but I know how, it feels at that age because I have
- 24:20a twelve year daughter, and she, like, kind of blush and all of that.
- 24:26So we just put, like, a a little bit of blush and a little bit of gloss or something for, the
- 24:30small kids that they also feel like, oh, I'm I'm all packed.
- 24:36I'm putting everything, like, once I photograph the mom, then, I then the mom takes best.
- 24:41And then once the the daughter is ready, I start with the daughter is 16 or 18 years and
- 24:49up.
- 24:50And she wants to do, her hair makeup, like her mom, she goes into hair and makeup.
- 24:56So once she's ready, then I are photographing them.
- 24:58Once everybody's ready, then I photograph all of them.
- 25:04Together in the different combination so that none of the, none of the emotions or none of
- 25:08the relationship bonds are kind of missed out.
- 25:10And then, if they want the in as well then because I've seen that men don't like to sit,
- 25:20through all of the hair and makeup and all of this stuff.
- 25:24They're like, do I have to?
- 25:26Everything.
- 25:26They are like, the perfect time.
- 25:28I'll come in.
- 25:28I'll get my photos done.
- 25:29You tell me what to do when I wanna get out.
- 25:31Just tell me what to share wearing up good.
- 25:34Yes.
- 25:35So it was an endless thing.
- 25:36We're not picking on you.
- 25:37It's just you need to know.
- 25:40And so that's coming, towards the end or brothers coming towards the end of the shoot.
- 25:46The last one are, wherein, all the girls are taken care of and they've you know, had a
- 25:51lovely time and then they come in.
- 25:53I kind of create all the combinations for them as a family and, yeah, away they go.
- 25:58So everybody's be monks happy.
- 26:01The daughter's happy because she's been really pampered and enjoyed, through the whole
- 26:05process.
- 26:05And dad's happy that Okay.
- 26:07He has this, 1 hour and everything gets done.
- 26:10And, yeah, it's a beautiful feeling.
- 26:12So you actually, have the mom Are you are you when she's doing hair and makeup, are you doing
- 26:17pictures then too, or is it just formal, or I'm same with the child?
- 26:22Or the young, you know, younger person?
- 26:24So the mom goes into hair and makeup the first.
- 26:26Once her hair and makeup is done, then I start photographing her in the time that I'm
- 26:31photographing mom, her daughter has, is onto the hair and makeup seat and getting her hair
- 26:37and makeup.
- 26:37So say, for example, she's twenty years old or whatever.
- 26:39He's getting her hair and makeup done.
- 26:42Once her hair and makeup is, done, which takes about the hair and makeup takes about an hour
- 26:47or a half depending upon the length of the hair and all of that.
- 26:51So after that one hour where the daughter's ready, I start photographing her and mom kind
- 26:56of relaxes and, sees her beautiful daughter being photographed.
- 27:00Once I've done her, daughter's images, then I photograph both of them together.
- 27:05So that's how I kind of loose.
- 27:07It's like everything is flowing smoothly and just back to back, and it's just, easy for
- 27:12everyone.
- 27:14So I know you're doing something pretty special, and I want to give you the opportunity
- 27:17to talk about this because I think, the listeners would be quite interested in this.
- 27:21And, so there's a someone that found out about your your business that, and I want you to
- 27:27tell, the listeners a little bit more about that because I know there's a a situation where
- 27:31there's a go fund me that you're maybe, gonna ask people if they're interested in helping
- 27:36out.
- 27:36So tell us, tell me a little bit and tell them a little bit about that go fund me that's
- 27:40happening.
- 27:41Sure.
- 27:41And thank you so much for sharing about the GoFundMe.
- 27:45It's really special for me.
- 27:47I've never done something like this before.
- 27:49For, and I'm really looking forward to, for the campaign to be successful.
- 27:55So it all started a couple of weeks, almost 3 weeks back where I received an email early
- 28:00morning from my client saying that, Puja used your website as a therapy for, someone who was
- 28:08in our group.
- 28:09So she's a part of international group, that are getting trained.
- 28:13They're coaches and they're getting trained on business skills.
- 28:16And so she said that there's this one lady who was a US marine.
- 28:20She lives in the US and she gained, she doubled her weight because of her her needed disc.
- 28:28And, she was medically retired, but then because of her gaining so much weight due to
- 28:33lack of physical activity.
- 28:35She started feeling not beautiful and not good enough.
- 28:39And to the point where she also felt like, people would not respect her if she puts her
- 28:45images onto her website because, she's like, because, you know, my weight was like, okay.
- 28:52Find this, weight, then people might start judging me as to, okay, maybe, you know, I'm
- 28:58not that good or something like that.
- 28:59And so she said that when she saw your website and, how the women were transformed within
- 29:06those couple of hours, she started crying, flying with, tears of happiness that, oh, it is
- 29:13possible probably for her to look beautiful and confident even though with all of the weight
- 29:19that she has.
- 29:20And then, she said that she started, seeing as to where you're located, and she wanted to come
- 29:25and get her shoe done from you.
- 29:27She saw that you were in Toronto, and she's an Indiana police.
- 29:30And so she was not financially in a position to really or, come down to Toronto as and at the
- 29:38same time, really invest in getting a photo shoot and everything done.
- 29:41And so she said, okay, I'll I'll just work with, you know, I'll ask any my family member
- 29:46to take a photo of mine, and I'll, and I'll start putting that image.
- 29:51And maybe at any point in my life future, I'll I'll get a a photo shoot of mine down the puja.
- 29:57But for me, when I read that email, I was so moved that if only looking at my work or the
- 30:07experience that other women have had, if somebody who's so motivated and empowered.
- 30:13I knew at that moment that how much more motivated and empowered she
- 30:16will feel if she
- 30:16actually experiences this whole experience for herself.
- 30:22And so in that moment, I I relayed back a message, to her saying that, okay, If there is
- 30:29any way that you can come to Toronto, I will give you the ex entire experience and your
- 30:35images and everything at no cost to you as a gift from my side.
- 30:39And so she was she's all excited, and she decided that she's going to drive down, to
- 30:44Toronto.
- 30:45But, obviously, with that, even though I have kicked it over the session and all of that,
- 30:53electronization food and so many other things.
- 30:55So for that, to offset that for her, I created a go fund me campaign, and the campaign is
- 31:01called you are beautiful, Michelle.
- 31:03Because I truly believe that.
- 31:08So that go from is basically to fund her, for her expenses, her other expenses.
- 31:13And I'm also putting a back for her that she can take away with her, once, her photo shoot
- 31:21and everything is done.
- 31:22It's called as you are beautiful.
- 31:24And it's basically for her to continue feeling beautiful, even after the experience.
- 31:29So if there are any inclined sponsors who would like to donate.
- 31:32I don't know if if it's some kind of a, a makeup thing or jewelry or whatever whatever
- 31:39they feel like they are business owners.
- 31:41They want to be an in kind sponsor.
- 31:44I've just created that campaign for them to connect.
- 31:46And if they want to help monetarily, they can sponsor her by going to direct, directly to the
- 31:52link.
- 31:52So it's called go fund me dot com slash you are beautiful, Michelle.
- 31:57They can go to that link and donate it to herself.
- 32:02Generate for her campaign.
- 32:03Everything is going to go to her for her to, use for her expenses and all of that.
- 32:10So, yeah.
- 32:11What a nice thing, you know, for someone, obviously, like, I mean, you know, because
- 32:16women are, I think, everybody wants to be experienced in a certain way.
- 32:21I think when we, you know, we we we not to under estimate the physical because I think we
- 32:26all wanna feel beautiful.
- 32:28And whether, you know, we're dressed a certain way, or we write the we wear the same certain
- 32:32colors or whatever, you just feel better.
- 32:34You're right.
- 32:35And what a nice opportunity with someone like this that has gone through such a hard time to
- 32:39be able to do that.
- 32:41And, you know, Hopefully, if people are hearing this, they they will help out with the
- 32:45campaign.
- 32:46Now, Puja, I, I'm struck by what you do.
- 32:49And I know when you and I met and, we went met at a networking event.
- 32:53And as we start to talk further, you know, like what I do is obviously, you know, coaching and
- 32:59psychotherapy and, and, and, and, I work a lot with women.
- 33:02And I think, you know, to be able to have a gift where you can do that, and you're I mean,
- 33:07like I said to you, you're transforming women you know, in a couple of hours, and it gives
- 33:12them something that's a bit of a legacy piece, right?
- 33:14Cause I think of when I look back on my old pictures, I think, oh my goodness.
- 33:18I was too sure and I was too, you know, I should have lost a little bit here and it and
- 33:21now you look back and you're like, wow, that was actually a nice picture.
- 33:24So you're great.
- 33:25It's done.
- 33:26That look that when we look at our self and where we become self critical and some of
- 33:30catching ourselves, like you're saying, right?
- 33:32And those are the things that I teach psychologically, emotionally, and biologically
- 33:37to really kind of, you know, really start within yourself.
- 33:40And you're doing that intuitively by, you know, in a couple of hours, and then they get to take
- 33:45that piece with them.
- 33:47I think it's a fantastic thing that you're doing.
- 33:50I have a son, so I think I might consider coming with him.
- 33:53And, you know, doing it because I think that's such a nice thing to be able to keep that piece
- 33:59and get something formally done, with him.
- 34:02Right.
- 34:02Absolutely.
- 34:03I would love to photograph you.
- 34:04Anytime you're ready, just give me a call.
- 34:07I'm here.
- 34:08So any any things that you would like to, I want you I want they, listeners to be able to
- 34:14reach out to you, and, you know, and and where they can get a hold of you if they're
- 34:19interested in that, whether it's branding for their business, or just the family legacy,
- 34:24portrait collection.
- 34:26So where can they reach you?
- 34:28And I know you're located.
- 34:29You're in Mississauga.
- 34:30But, you know, so it's not too far for most people, if you're in Ontario, but for other
- 34:35people that, you know, might be interested in just reaching out to you just to even have chat
- 34:40with you, that would be great.
- 34:42I think the best way to reach, me is through my website.
- 34:47And, it's called as, so my the name of my business is zoom into live photography.
- 34:52So it's zoomintolife.com.
- 34:54And so if they send me, an email through that with their contact information and what is it
- 35:00that they really, are looking for for themselves, then, I will definitely make that
- 35:06connection with them.
- 35:06And then, you know, we can take it from there.
- 35:08So absolutely, my website would be the best, me to connect with me, and, it's zoomangelife.com.
- 35:15Awesome.
- 35:16So what I've taken away from this is that, you know, that chatter in her head skews our
- 35:21perception of how we view ourselves.
- 35:23And I often go to that takes, you know, slowing down and sometimes just being gentle and kind
- 35:30to ourselves so that we can see what other people see when, and obviously, Puja does that
- 35:34in such a nice way, and then she makes you look even more beautiful.
- 35:37That, that light on inside, get Sean, and then you capture it in a picture.
- 35:41So thanks so much Pooja for that.
- 35:44And like I said, you know, We come into this world authentic.
- 35:48It is there.
- 35:49Sometimes we need to kind of figure out the ways to kind of, bring out that light as often
- 35:53as possible.
- 35:55So for anyone that, likes listening to my show and if you're wanting a bit more information
- 35:59about me, I, I'm offering a 2 part web our, video series on, sexual intimacy so that if you
- 36:08wanted to get more connected to yourself and then return your partner, so you just go to
- 36:12Roxanne or watch.com/sex.
- 36:16Not hard to forget to remember.
- 36:18And, what we'll do is we'll send you out those videos.
- 36:20So again, Pooja, what a pleasure and I hope that, people take you up on that to offer to at
- 36:27least have a chat, and to realize that we have everything right here, right?
- 36:32No need to, look too much further.
- 36:35So thanks again.
- 36:36Okay.
- 36:36Take care.
- 36:37Thank you, Bachelor.
- 36:39Alright.
- 36:39Bye bye.
- 36:40Bye.
- 36:42Knowing on
- 36:50that did living with Roxanne every Thursday, 11 AM Eastern on Global Voice Radio.
